DaVinci - Image Generator AI App Reviews

shady practices. I accessed the application to conduct a trial. I was considering purchasing a lifetime membership. I am not in favor of leasing software, particularly within an application on a mobile device. Before trting to utilizing the application, they bill me a subscription fee. I reached out to the developer two weeks ago but received no response. I then contacted Apple, and they blocked my credit card. It is disheartening to see a company being rewarded for charging a customer without providing any service or value. As soon as I was billed, I promptly uninstalled the application. Due to these unethical practices, I will not be endorsing this company's application. They have lost a customer indefinitely. I wish I could rate them zero stars for taking money that they did not rightfully earn and for providing zero support.

One star is an understatement. Pretty sure I just got scammed.. I gave extremely simple prompts. Not a single prompt did what I asked. Was trying to make smurfette into a Hawaiian themed outfit for a client. Even when removing “smurf” and adding “blue skinned girl” it never gave me blue skin. I tried for over 2 hours to get 1 image that I wouldn’t have to completely photoshop and I still didn’t. Got to the point where it said “daily limit met only 50 for “quality images” when most of the images I got had 4 arms. 20 fingers. NONE of them had consistent blue skin. Cutting the skin off at the feet and hands and then changing to a peach tone?? I paid $40 for a limited search? I honestly want my money back. I will be disputing this with the bank as I have only had the app for about 2 and a half hours and it did nothing for me. Do not get this app! Honestly I would argue this is a MASSIVE SCAM. If it weren’t limited to 50 I wouldn’t be writing this review. Especially with the worst excuse “for quality images” when like I said these were probably the worst quality images I’ve ever seen. And I’m a kids art teacher.

Paid for Pro - Not Unlimited Images. The free version only allows 5 artworks to be generated in a 24 hr period. I wasn’t getting the results I was looking for with the prompts I was giving, so I upgraded in the hope that I would have more opportunities to find exactly what I was looking for. However, after paying for the pro, I found that you still have a daily limit to how much artwork you can produce in a day. The daily limit for pro is 50 and if you try to go past that you will receive an error saying “Daily Limit for Today. We produce only 50 artworks daily to ensure quality”. If I’m paying for a subscription to generate images for AI, there shouldn’t be a daily limit. Especially if the images produced by the prompts are not what I ask for (example - asking for dark green eyes and it gives me an image of vibrant green eyes that are not natural. Or it gives me a completely different eye color altogether). Once my yearly subscription is over, I will not be renewing unless they remove the daily limits.

Avoid. Or use free version only.. Good imaging, but avoid if your like having an active interface with features. There’s no option for editing or saving prompts, no way to review jmages you created but didn’t specifically save, no way to delete images you don’t want. It’s a bit of a mess, and that’s unfortunate because it’s the best (or most intuitive) image creator of the several paid version apps I’ve tried. There’s no excuse for not being able to catalog and revisit works, edit prompts, etc. In fact if you don’t save the original prompt it wipes the prompt screen to blank if you try to back into it, and the. You hd d retype everything. Big mess. Avoid for now. At least avoid paying, because it’s for nothing.

Unreliable, low quality images. As far as ai art goes, this product is substandard. This rating comes, compared to other AI generated art app available. I have paid considerably to have a variety of options in AI Generated Art apps but would not extend this product beyond its trial. It’s quite slow. Half the time, the app gets stuck in a loop and stops working responding at all. There is no way to exit this “Creating” screen without killing the program altogether and starting over. Even so, the images that it produces are fairly low quality and lack much by way of detail. It’s the details that makes AI generated images in general so amazing. I will give them props for number of art styles available. If only the produced images were at all as detailed and finely presented as the art style examples. But alas, they are not. It says in the App Store that this is 4 years old. If this represents four years of development and bug fixes and refinement, then this particular app has a long way to go. Prior to submitting this review, I wondered if I was being too harsh, and went back to play around with it some more. But NOW it hangs 100 percent of the time, and I’ve been unable to even get a single generated image…so because of this unreliability, the review stands.

Good generator, disappointing service.. I was actually impressed by how this AI has functioned compared to a few others I have used. If a fifth limb was crated on a character it was pretty easy to get rid of. However, most importantly I was surprised to be cut off at 50 generations a day. If I’m paying a monthly fee for a service, I better get that service. While I MIGHT have missed it upon sign up, I don’t recall that being said anywhere when I did sign up. Lastly, I feel like they would create a workflow or a project page that would save all prompts and generation setting without having to re-enter them EACH time we went to adjust the prompt. But you could just let it delete once you were done generating.

I have a problem…. June 8th: Ok, I love this app. It’s fun, it’s somewhat free, it’s accurate, but lately I’ve been having a problem. I tried asking for a mountain landscape, but it said NSFW! What the heck! It’s a MOUNTAIN! Then I tried asking for a tropical beach landscape, but it still said NSFW. So, I decided to do an animal which never failed. Still, NSFW. I tried the prompt: a tree, again NSFW. A DANG TREE! I ended up using my five tries (since I think paying for something it promised but never gives is ridiculous) and still got nothing. Please please PLEASE fix this. I love your app and highly recommend it. Thank you for reading. I hope you can get back to me. June 9th: It won’t stop. I tried today, and it didn’t work! My exact prompt was: A cute, fluffy, baby arctic fox is standing on its hind legs in a hollow tree trunk, so its arms are hanging out and you can’t see past its neck. It has soft, purple eyes. In the tree trunk are fluorescent, purple mushrooms, and in the back round is a lovely forest made of willow trees with purple butterflies as the leaves on the willow trees. The ground is covered in a glowing, purple moss. NSFW? What the heck. I give up. Fix this, please. I don’t want to have to ask again.

Impressive. I’m a Newbie. So far, so good. Although when I first tried to use the app no image appeared, just a message saying that there was an error. I contacted Support who got back to me promptly. I was instructed to send screenshots of the issue. I went back, opened the app, entered the same prompt. This time it worked! I have no idea what I did differently. However, EVERY time I download an image, a pop-up appears prompting me to leave a review. This is the first time I used the app! I clicked later, then on the next download the very same thing. I find this extremely annoying.

Not the best. This image generator is mediocre at best. It does not fully follow the prompts you enter which is frustrating. You also lose your prompt if you don’t remember to copy it. You can’t delete creations, they just pile up. You should be able to clear these out if you want. Account creation is also weird. When first subscribed I guess I hadn’t created a login, although it looked like I had an account. I went ahead and created one, which it then asked if wanted to transfer my creations and I selected yes but it didn’t bring over anything. This app is very glitchy and not fully happy with it; however, it is less expensive for the year than other ai generators.

Stole My Money After Cancelling — Beware the Headache. I downloaded this app to mess around with some image generation and paid for a one-week subscription to create some AI avatars. I found the image generation less impressive than ChatGPT+ and promptly went into my Apple Subscriptions and cancelled the subscription. I confirmed that the subscriptions page moved the subscription to the Inactive section and after January 6, was updated to read “Expired January 6.” I have not since opened the app. Imagine my surprise when now, January 9, I receive another charge for a weekly subscription which I’ve already cancelled. I promptly opened the app and found that there is no reference to my subscription being active and it asks me if I’d like to sign up for a subscription, join pro, etc. My Apple Subscriptions page similarly indicates this remains inactive. I have contacted Apple and the developer for a refund. However, if you wish to avoid the headache of paying AFTER you cancel, do not download this app. Find another option that will not steal your money.

Great app if the function is to pay for something that they are not going to give you. It’s a scam if you’re gonna use it use it free even if you pay the subscription they will leave u on the free side and still have marbles to ask you to buy other applications that originally when first look at the site it’s says all included for use then you buy it to just find out they were lying.. fool me once shame on you ill make sure you guys don’t make another dime of this scam

Disappointed return customer. I love this app before they made these changes. I had to unsubscribe for family issues and I came back to start creating, and there are so many limitations for the price that I was paying before. I wish in my Apple settings they would’ve informed me of the restrictions per price. I didn’t understand, so I picked the same plan. I previously had. I paid for weekly access. I was forced to watch a Ad to get access to only one image, and I was unable to download without watermark. Why would I want to pay weekly for something? I cannot even save and use due to the watermarks. Now, I lost that money and need to cancel and re-purchase the higher plan. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I would’ve done that from the beginning if I knew. you need pro to access full benefits that would be the best if you truly want to create some good designs.

Interesting app but issues. I wanted to give this app 5 stars but there’s an issue. Sometimes I can hit create and 15 minutes later it’s still trying to create. I’m a long time user of MJ with over 55,000 images, so I know my prompting. The prompts may be just two sentences long and still it can’t seem to finish in a shorter time. Not saying I won’t continue to use it because sitting in my easy chair is more fun than at my computer desk but I’m not a patient person! I’ve even rebooted my iPad thinking it would help. Nope it still seems to stall out at times. I’ll change my review to 5 stars if it changes its behavior and finishes its creating within a reasonable timeframe.

Paid subscription, but a lot of bugs. I would highly recommend working out the bugs prior to charging people for this app: 1. Perspectives are often incorrect, leaving the image looking wacky; 2. Hands (and feet, but especially hands) are hard for human artists to draw ~ apparently the DaVinci AI can’t get it right either 🤔🤦‍♀️. 3. Although 4 ideations may be created after a prompt is entered, more than once I haven’t been able to actually access the 4th ~ for some reason, despite being able to click on it, the app keeps selecting the ideation (3rd) next to it. I thought perhaps this was a fluke on my phone app, so I downloaded to my iPad and it happened again with the first design out of the gate. Despite the issues above, this app is a blast to play with for someone who has real artistic abilities: you can use the renders as a base design/concept and then go in and edit the images. UPDATE: I've now had this app for about a week. It's definitely not worth what they're charging. If using my iPad and the app gets stuck (which happens often), I have to actually delete the app and download it again. Who has time for that? And the main reason I am leaving this update, is because I get constant requests to rate the app and the requests don't go away until I read it. so this is about the fourth time that I have been on here to leave a comment…

Clever, horrifying, and prudish by turns. First off, Da Vinci does not generate anything explicitly sexual in nature, and it seems strangely prudish even w.r.t. nudity. I can live with that limitation, although I’m sure it’s very much a missed market opportunity. Much worse is the generator’s relentlessly grotesque depictions of persons, especially when certain “styles” are selected. Almost whenever I request an image that calls for human beings or other living creatures, it seems these are rendered with extra limbs and horrifying disembodied lumps of flesh. Sometimes the chunks of meat are shown branching off existing figures, and sometimes suspended in mid-air. It’s very Dali-esque if you like that kind of thing, but not if you’re going for something more like real-life versions of Charlie Brown and Snoopy. Human hands are especially subject to butchery and brutality. That said, I have seen some very cute pictures, and some very clever ones, too. The requested portrait of guitarist Robert Fripp done in the style of Gustav Klimt I found stunning and ingenious. But my advice to the developers for the next version is: go for more sex and less violence!

Screen goes to black. I don’t use this app a lot but when I try to use it recently when it starts up, the screen goes black. There’s nothing on the screen no buttons or anything. I try to delete and reinstall it and still does the same same thing. Even on my other devices screen goes to black. I have a subscription and everything should be working right. I only could afford one subscription for AI generator and I chose this one. It seemed to have good reviews and everything but it’s not very good at all. The images that come out are usually the same type. The faces and hands are really bad and unusable. The prompts I use aren’t usually accurate at all, and it won’t let me change the ratio. I don’t know why this app got so many good reviews. maybe they delete the bad ones, but if you want one like this, I would choose a different one or use a free app.

I was a bit disappointed. So this app works okay. My problem with it is that every time I wrote something extremely easy to make in the art part it would not do it, it half did it. I was being specific, easy stuff a kid could draw and it just wouldn’t listen. When I tried the avatars it wanted to charge me money which if an app says “3 free days” they should let you use it for real ALL the features! I would have no problem paying the $30 for the life license to use it had I have a good experience with the app. It didn’t do anything some other online AI website can do fro free. I like the fact that they do give you a way to buy all features because I really hate subscriptions. The app is not bad but I was expecting more.

The experts daily tool & a beginners dream app!!!. Speaking as a non-techy person, I’ve tried several other AI design by prompt apps over the last 6 months to try and bring my logo idea to life; I’ve been disappointed because they either were not user friendly or didn’t provide enough customization. A Tech Expert referred me to Davinci, and it certainly did not disappoint. Davinci is spot on!!! I figured out how to use it in minutes, looked up some tips for prompt language, and have an amazing line up of logo options to select from now!!!! Wish I had done this 6 months ago!

App does not work - Do Not Bother. Update: after speaking with Customer Service informed me that my subscription that’s what I get - basically nothing - I can generate five images a day whether they’re useless or not and most of they are useless and that’s only if I watch videos. So my next option would be to spend another $70 and hopefully it works this time. I’m not gonna do it. I’m gonna move onto something super deceitful. Here’s a little preview wouldn’t get type in “xyz written in script” and it’ll give you the image of a dog Original review: After the free trial nothing works. I was happy with the free trial then paid for a year of the app. Once paying the subscription apparently there’s a premium subscription and also a pro subscription the first subscription you get is worth nothing The logo maker misspells words over and over and then you’re out of attempts It requires to watch videos even if you’ve already purchased it then puts up pay walls on everything. This is a scam to try and get you to spend $100 on subscription for a logo maker that can’t spell the word “gold” produced logo reading “pold”

Error. Something went wrong, please try again.. I signed up for the one week PRO trial. If I liked it, I would have purchased the lifetime membership as that seems like a good deal. However, this app has a LOT of bugs. It will generate a couple images for me, then give me a generic error EVERYTIME. The only way to fix it is to delete the app and reinstall. Then I’ll be able to generate 2 or 3 more images before I get the errors again. I’ve done this 6 times and this time will not be re-installing. Another note, they advertise the pro subscription, but what you don’t know that the pro subscription does not include the AI avatar feature. That is an entirely separate subscription. Essentially, to use all the features of this app you’ll have to pay for 2 subscriptions. Seems deceptive, right?

Paid for Pro, says I didn’t.. Gonna echo a lot of others here. The app itself is doing exactly what I wanted it to do… but it kept giving me the “error: something went wrong” message and couldn’t do anything so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No big deal. But when I logged back in it said I didn’t buy Pro when I absolutely did. I double checked my back account, all that. So now… what? I’m out $30. Fortunately I got what I need for a couple projects but I either need the error in my account to be fixed or I’m going to get a refund somehow. Will change review if they can fix the problem, because the art is exactly what I wanted. Edit: It does restore the purchase if you log back on, close the app fully, and go back in after a few minutes. But the “Something went wrong” error message is non stop now so I’m having a different issue that makes the app just as unusable. A lot of people are complaining about it. Fix the bug.

Limited. I wish I had read some of the reviews before paying for the annual subscription. As others have stated, even with the subscription you are limited to just 50 images a day. When you essentially hand walk the AI through the process step-by-step to get a result matching the prompts you set, you can burn through those 50 images and still not achieve your goal. The images are rendered beautifully for the most part. I subscribed today and, after hitting the 50 images cap still trying to get an image I envisioned, have already unsubscribed. Still, I suppose, I have the remainder of a year to work at getting the picture I want.

Works only half of the time. I downloaded it and bought it thinking it would solve my problem of not being able to find a tattoo I like, and it kind of does. The first time I used it I typed in something along the lines of “Harry Potter Tattoo” and something popped up that said “Warning” and there was no other button to click but the OK button. So I thought it was saying “Warning” as in prepare yourself because something really cool was about to pop up… nope. It was just a black screen forever. So if it worked I’d probably rathe this app a 4.5. But it doesn’t work half of the time. If this continues I might ask for a refund. Cool app, but its doesn’t work like it’s supposed to.

POTENTIALLY BEAUTIFUL APP FAILS TO ALLOW ITSELF TO BE USEFUL - APP DOES NOT LOAD OR FUNCTION!. The app is beautifully described and showcased in the App Store with brilliant features and what looks like a professional and polished design by very talented creators/developers. Upon loading the app a beautiful animated introduction of the logo excites you with confidence that the app created by pros and is certain to impress! Even willingly waiting with patience for the app to eventually load beyond the blank black screen it simply won’t allow itself to perform as it claims and soon find out JUST DOESNT AT ALL. I gave it more than a fair chance by deleting the app, reinstalling, and really being optimistic for a successful second attempt for it to successfully load however that did not app. I really hate to give it any stars at all without an ability to demonstrate its ability to even successfully function as all that offers anything more than a great design for a brand but obviously PRODUCT IS NOT READY FOR DISTRIBUTION TO CUSTOMERS AND FAILS TO LOAD OR BE USEFUL AT ALL! Good luck and wish you all the best in your next attempt to release your product.

Confirmed Scam / No Dev Response. The dev response (or lack thereof) confirmed it for me; this app is a scam. I paid for Lifetime Pro and was covertly charged for a separate subscription. Those smaller payments were refunded. However, I lost access to my Lifetime Pro membership. I have the receipt for this purchase. It was never refunded, yet I no longer “own” the services I paid for and am prompted to re-purchase Lifetime Pro. The “restore purchase” button is a placebo. It does nothing. The DaVinci support email, which is touted as having a response time of “72 hours or less,” may as well be a paper shredder. No one replies. The dev response here in the app review section—which was to uselessly point out that there are “two separate subscriptions,” more or less accusing me of mistakenly purchasing BOTH—was unhelpful and evasive. It did not address the actual issue. Yes, there are multiple separate plans/subscriptions you can buy on the app. I purchased ONE, the one-time Lifetime Pro access plan, and no longer have access to those features. Apple cannot refund it. DaVinci will not respond. I was advised to file for fraud at my bank. This app is run by conmen. I paid for a service they did not provide and have no interest in reinstating.

Prompts don't work & No response from support. I work with AI so I thought I would purchase this app and try it out. My primary goal was generating a specific B/W Tattoo involving a man and a wolf. 95% of the time it would generate either the head of a wolf without the man or a man with the head of a wolf. It was unable to follow specific measurement instructions such as "make the wolf 7 feet tall." It also had a 0% success rate if I ever asked it to generate zodiac symbols or references to chakra. None of the hands ever turned out (imagine baby hands with extra fingernails) and the app ignored any prompts specifying that the man be white. In defensive of the company's support team, they only had the equivalent of one business day before I asked for my refund, but that's more than enough in today's world unless your product is so bad that you're inundated with tickets. While the graphics were passable (fairly detailed), the overall experience fell short (my assumption is that they used a smaller, low quality dataset that concentrated on faces and not bodies or imagery to train the AI). There are better AI apps available, and I’d recommend exploring those options before trying DaVinci.

Watch out for the free trial trap!!!. First off, this is a terrible app. The images I tried to make were all garbage. It gets so much wrong. Everything looks disfigured so forget realistic looking images. The artsy stuff leaves much to be desired as well. Unfortunately there is not way to capture the few things it gets right to combine with other elements. Some simple editing would help. I tried to make a lot of logos for sports teams and it couldn’t even display text properly. It added extra letters to my text. This is one of the worst AI applications I have tested!! To make things worse they offered me a free trial but I had already used it. Having forgotten I went to activate it. The confirmation screen showed $0 so how would I have know there would be a problem? I approved it with my Face ID. I would never have done this if it said anything other than free. I immediately canceled auto renew and began my disappointing experience of using the app. Days later I received the bill. They should not be able to do this. Apple is also quite scummy for how they treated me when trying to resolve the issue. But DaVinci should not be able to offer free trials to anyone who has already done it. For me, it was probably long ago and I didn’t get to use it because I was a busy teacher. We deserve better as consumers!

Doesn’t do what you ask and keeps glitching. I have apparently used all the renderings I get today (50) and not a single image has come anywhere close to being what I described. The app constantly freezes, glitches, and closes itself. I was hoping to use this to render tattoo ideas I have, and to “try on” tattoos with my current tattoos to see how they’d look but this is not helping me at all. At first I thought maybe I was adding too much information at a time because it would only add like two of the 10 things I asked for. So then I thought I could just ask for renderings of everything separately but that didn’t work either…. You ask for a hissing cat, you get a regular cat. You ask for a hellcat Durango as a spaceship, you get a 70s challenger with a spaceship behind it, ask for eyes but the pupils are planets, you get one eye with planets behind it. Even using it to try on tattoos didn’t work. I’ve added pictures of my arm with my current tattoos and ask it to add stuff, it gets rid of my hair, gives me a bigger boob, gets rid of my current tattoo, and puts tattoos on my back.

Either stops working or produces garbage. I tried using this to generate signatures as an ad showed. I signed up for the trial, but to do signatures you had to pay for the add-on, which I did. Most of the AI signatures spelled my name wrong and those that did used basic cursive. Thought I'd try another aspect, uploading images and then entering a specific request. The output was always the same it just made my original picture look like someone else and did nothing I put as a description. Ok, I'll try one last time doing something else. I tried to create an avatar, it wouldn't progress past step 4 of picking a gender. I choose the gender of the person in the picture but it stays on that screen indefinitely. App is worthless in the first 3 tasks I tried. Deleted app during trial.

No Support. I rate the app 2.5 stars because there are some great images, with the exception of the numerous distortions and the inability to create an image of an actual cougar / mountain lion, or a person holding another person piggyback, for example. But my main issue is having no support when needed. I sent an email on 5/11 to the support email listed on the app, and there is still no response. I also sent the email to a second email address I found on their website on 5/13. Still no response. I had to troubleshoot the issue on my own. The app stopped allowing me to save or download images. Finally, I tried completely deleting the app and redownloading and signing in again, and that seemed to fix it for now. I decided to cancel my subscription due to these issues. I have a hard time trusting a company that won’t respond within 24 or even 48 hours. Something tells me they aren’t going to respond with “support” ever.

Customer support.. I got this on the Apple App Store and payed for a 1 year membership. On the ap it said continue my work on a pc. Tried and couldn’t. Attempted to get support and they quickly at first responded very timely. Told me pc was a separate charge. I’m not too impressed with the mobile app so I told them since it had been only a matter of hours I would like a refund then. No response. I have been reaching out for over a month to support only to be ignored and no response. At this point I will just take the money spent as a loss and just want to cancel my membership. I can’t even get a support response from them for that simple task since on the mobile app there isn’t even a cancel button to cancel. This is beyond ridiculous and now becoming very problematic from this company. If I could give negative stars I would do so. Don’t get ripped off like I did

Unstable and privacy intrusive. Got the 3 day sample which converts to a $6.99 payment weekly. First test was to create a flag with an image and a two word text logo. I tried multiple instructions, but was unable to get it to simply create the logo. The logo created always featured words reversed, a different language or some other variation not quite what I was trying to get it to literally state on the flag. I tried to create a characiture of a political character as a pig in a pilgrim era stockade. The first effort produced nothing but agricultural fencing with various pig forms. The second attempt was closer, but when I tried to refine it, the app essentially crashed. And then every time I reopened, it would crash each time. So I am an hour into the three day trial and it is proving to be not worth $6.99 a week.

Fake. Preying on the hype.. AI is an exciting thing. We see it in our daily lives on social media all the time. The problem I have it’s preying on people who want something they’ll never have. Apple allows it. I brought this to their attention believing I was getting the item I believed, and this app didn’t deliver. Like any consumer who buys a product that isn’t what it seems, I’m fighting for a refund. This app generates the worst pictures, a toddler could draw them better. It’s like the AI is a kid who burnt half his brain huffing spray paint is drawing these works of art. I’ve brought it to Apples attention, but they’re fighting back “can’t give a refund?” Why not? You all let these developers put whatever they want on your store without any regard for the consumer, let alone doing any sort of vetting. It has high ratings but like most things we know that just because it has high ratings doesn’t mean it’s deserving. Review bombing is half the reasons so many films have low scores because small pockets of people bash it in the reviews until their obsolete or canceled. That’s the trend and apps are no different. This app is trash and needs to be taken down for not delivering what they’re asking. All those “pictures” that are posted on here as sneak peaks don’t even generate like that. I wish we could post pictures of the outcome of what they actually look like on here. Avoid. Ridiculous.

Glitches. It does pretty well producing images with prompts, but it does have some issues, especially when asking it “do not show… “ It still will show that. And it will not show all the images asked for in the prompt, instead will show multiple versions of just one of the requested images(I asked for 4 different animals) and sometimes it freezes in creating mode, and cannot be shut down and I have to restart my phone. It also does not have a very high res option, when that is selected; they seem to be only 72dpi at 14” x 14”, There are lots of style choices though, the ones I tried were good and I want to see how the other ones are so will try them.

Great, but..... So this app is wonderful. It's so good that I subscribed. My only problem is, it keeps giving the error message after a while, which I consider to be the app crashing. The only problem with the app crashing is restarting the app and restarting my phone doesn't work. I have to delete and re-download the app every time it crashes. And considering I'm now paying for it, I think it's very inconvenient. I wish they would fix that. Other than that, the app is wonderful. The artwork it produces is beautiful. Sometimes they come out deformed, but it's nothing I can't fix myself.

Not unlimited. Art - including the AI box features if you paid extra for those - is not unlimited! It’s limited to 50 tries. So if you are kind of generating through multiple prompts to get a specific result, you may run out before you’re done. Even worse, every time I try to do one or two “looks” it will glitch out. It’s also tending towards a kind of racist look to everything… I’ve tried making avatars of my Mexican family members, and even when I type “male” “man” and “brown eyes” “brown hair” it will rarely give me brown eyes and they are light brown. It gives me primarily gray or blue eyes. Everything is by default skewed to white skin, blonde hair, blue eyes it seems. Is this the fault of the app? Maybe not… it might just be an AI thing that it has inherent biases reflecting the information it has “learned.” But it’s annoying and it’s another thing to be aware of if you have plans to use it for art or avatars featuring people of color. That said, I have had fun using it most of the time. I liked making some tattoo ideas and for that it’s a good time.

Some cool ideas but doesn’t put it together well. I download the app for the free trial, thinking that I wanted to try to get a tattoo designs and to my own fault forgot about it and paid for who knows how many weeks in a row before I finally used it. I find that no matter how I were the description it is extremely difficult to get an idea put together. You’re more likely to be able to put in single ideas save the picture and tell a tattoo artist to try to put something together based on the images, but truthfully, I had more luck just search in Google and coming up with my own ideas in the end. I fell in love with the idea of putting an idea down and watching a I create this really cool picture, but it is far, far from that ability it appears.

I think I’ve been scammed. So today I purchased a Pro account (Lifetime) for $32 and change. I used it once, made a few avatar’s and went to try out the Pro features but the app wanted me to pay again. Like most Ai apps, after purchasing the full version or after an update, you’ll need to click restore purchase and that usually fixes the problem. Well after two tries, still wants me to pay. Ok, let’s see if there is an update. There in fact there was so I updated, went back into the app, clicked restore and then get a message saying no purchase found! I emailed support and have yet to get a reply. This is disappointing because I use DaVinci’s video editing software and love it. This Ai department however is looking a bit sketch. Proceed with caution.

Misleading. Although I got a few cool looking images, I quickly ran into a road block. I apparently had already gotten to my daily limit of 50 images? I paid for premium to see if anything would change but no, it still limited me. So I went ahead and cancelled my subscription and expected to be able to at least use what I had paid for until it had expired on the 23rd of May. But when I went to generate an image it only gave me the limited option as if I did not have premium, forcing me to watch an ad if I wanted to generate the image and even after watching the ad it still only gave me 1 image and told me I had to upgrade to premium to get more. I have premium up until it expires! Tried contacting support for the second time. No response. I won’t be using this product anymore and would not it recommend it to anyone else.

Not worth the cost. I’ve had to re-download this twice and then restore purchase. The purchase was a mistake because I was so busy. I let the free trial lapse and got charged. I never went and purchased it because it did not work very well to begin with. So far the results are pretty mundane. Perhaps I’m not putting enough descriptive items into it. For example, I tried making a simple logo with my name and the fact that I’m a registered nurse and the results came back with nothing to do with my profession except one of the times they gave me credentials that I did not earn or ask for an added another profession they had nothing to do with nursing. I thought it would be fun and perhaps something to play around with and get some ideas for various interest in my life instead of became something of an aggravation frustration that I paid for.

Do Not Buy keeps locking up my phone. I was excited to play with this app. I paid the $39 for a year. Tried my first idea, and it took a while to generate an image.. the result was ok. I am bummed that my prompt dissapeard after my first render. Have yet to figure out if it can save prompts. So now I write them in my notes app in case I want to go back and tweak the prompts. Then I tried my second render and the app crashed. Restarted, tried again, and it just sat there rendering… I waited…and waited… 10 minutes I gave up and had to force a reboot on my phone. I thought maybe I need to pay the extra 29 bucks a year for all the bells and whistles and faster render times. Tried it again, first render was relatively quick. I tried to do a second render, and it crashed the app. Started the app again and the screen went black and just seemed to be stuck on a black screen. I held the buttons down to force a restart, and it would not restart. I kept pressing the buttons to restart the phone and began to panic thinking this app had bricked my phone… finaly I got the phone to restart, but now I am little Leary to use the app and wish I could get back the $70 I wasted on it

Frustrating. 1. Paid for annual term, but found out after I paid that they limit you to 50 images per day. 24 hours later, it still says I have reached my limit. 2. It frequently won’t iterate very simple prompts, after multiple attempts. So you multiple tweaks to the prompt to get what you want, and next thing you know, you’ve maxed out. 3. It does not save settings. You can choose a style, write a prompt and it resets to basic defaults whenever you go back. 4. It has potential, but I’m not paying for more features when the basic pay version fails on very simple, fundamental functions. Considering requesting a refund for daily limitations that weren’t expressed and won’t reset on next calendar day.

Great app when it works. Had the app for a day so far. I keep getting an error message “error. Something went wrong, please try again.” every time I click “create”. The first time it happened I re-installed the app and it fixed itself. Now it won’t go away. I re-installed, restarted my phone, and restarted the app half a dozen times. Still get the same error message, if this doesn’t get fixed I’m probably gonna request a refund. On the other hand, I really like the generation. Faces and hands tend to come out smudged and deformed, so that’s not the greatest. I would rate 4.5 stars if it would consistently work. 5 stars if you fixed the faces and hands. Im definitely impressed with some of the images, pretty decent work overall from the developers.

Trash. You probably saw the same ad I did and thought, ok, this will be fun…. But once again, it’s one of these trash aps that looks great in the videos, but of course to do anything at all with the program they expect you to pay just to even try it out. And then you can’t even try it out with your own pictures. Can’t even watch a video or anything to try it for free unless you want to see some random drawing of something totally unrelated to any pictures you want to upload. Don’t bother, there’s plenty of the same aps that will actually let you try their services for free… or with the viewing of a video or whatever. These baiting tactics are getting real ridiculous with all these aps lately. Shouldn’t have expected anything else I guess

I just imagine. How infinitely vast the human imagination is and how remarkable it is we can now summon a vision of any kind in seconds. I wish the algorithms were not so biased towards fearful and uncanny valley interpretations of input. I wonder at times though if in some weird subconscious means, these algorithms are more truthful, or at least reflective, of the general mental demeanor of the totality of humanity. Or at the very least the majority of participants. We just experienced one of the most dreadful and frightening mass social phenomena in a generation. Macabre and pessimistic. At any rate, fun app! It’s fun just to explore ones imagination.

Fun but Daily Rate issues?. After playing with it for a few I decided to purchase the year deal pro version. After a couple pictures it gives me a error pop up, “Daily Rate Limit Error.” Unsure why keeps happening after buying it. I did try to restart it and still happens. Once I figure out either what I’m doing wrong or the issues is fixed and can play with it more, then I’ll give it a higher rating. UPDATE: So I waited a day and still get the Error. I reinstalled the app and it still has the issue. Email last night so need to give them the 72 hours to respond. But this happened after I paid. So a little worried about the last update 😕… so far after 3 pictures I’ve reached the daily limit of the pro version 😞

Beta to now. Been using this since the beta and I’m pleased to see the evolution and a team that actually listens to the users to slowly change and upgrade always making it more user friendly. Highly recommend the paid version, it’s one of those rare art apps that works.

DaVinci is broken. I wrote a very positive review a few months back. However in recent months, as the developer is concentrating on its online version the app has gone wonky. First you can only download 2 of 4 pictures in each generation. Second, it will not let you delete images in your library. Third it crashes literally every third or fourth time. Fourth, it used to save your initial prompt and now you have to reenter each time. Fifth, some genius decides to change the style locations every month just to add frustration. I notified the developer but nothing done, just ads to sign up for their online version🧛🏽‍♂️

Blocked my phone access!. Downloaded the app and thought it was pretty good until when I wasn’t even in the app and had it closed I couldn’t screenshot anything, crop my videos in my camera roll, couldn’t access my subscriptions to cancel my free trial or delete account after noticing. As soon as I deleted the app everything went back to normal.

Painful to use. Glitches out, freezes, creates images then shuts off, pending forever; just a few issues that needs repair and none of which are isolated occurrence within the app. Happens all too often. And what’s with the black and white images it repeatedly creates. I can’t be paying for something that’s broken. Hopefully, all of which is fixed before I consider making an investment.

Average at best. Complete waste of money! Horrible creation from your own uploaded photos. Distorts the image so much it doesn’t even look like anything. Have tried Multiple detailed prompts using all filters and am extremely underwhelmed for what is supposed to be one of the best Ai art apps around. I recommend to Find something else.

Bugged or Deliberately Broken. DO NOT PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION ! Fortunately, I wasn't so silly to purchase one myself, but the reviews here make clear that the subscriptions do NOT offer the use the app promises... There are limits to the number of images paid users can generate, and the app simply doesn't seem to work for some paid users regardless - and worse still, this is executed through persistent error messages after use of the app as though it simply broke. It is therefore no surprise that it simply doesn't do anything without paying. The app will constantly produce a message "main style not set" and fail to do anything. Do not be fooled, this does appear to be designed to trick users into paying. The style box clearly notes itself to be an optional setting, and if opened contains no settings and no way to add "styles" in any capacity.

Everything it creates comes back with an error: NSFW Content Alert Your prompt could lead to NSFW content, violating our standards. I’ve even made it clear. “Make me a social media business image representing (my business trade) Make it show a technician, add some insects, some trees and make it a little colorful so it gains attention. I even added this prompt: —> **NOT NSFW CONTENT** <— It still came back with the same garbage: NSFW Content Alert Your prompt could lead to NSFW content, violating our standards. Please adjust your prompt to align with our guidelines and try again This has been a complete waste of time. Now I have to jump through hoops to try and cancel this subscription and get my money back 😡 You can’t even trial the app without paying for it first. The advertisement is all misleading as it doesn’t provide as advertised. NOT HAPPY!!!!

Limit for premium users??. I’ve made about 4 images, yet even though I paid for a yearly subscription, it gives me a notice that the app only produces 50 artoworks per day? Even though I’ve only done 4?

Glitchy. The potential is there but the app is glitchy and feels unsophisticated. Specifically it often creates images with details cut off at the edge - eg a bird beak has the tip cut off as it exits the page - a common cropping technique, but not helpful if you want to take generated art into a design program to use as a template for vector or brush.

App crashed after a few hours. Amazing app, but crashed after a few hours and now just keeps saying: Error, try again later. :/ Edit: Reinstalled and works again, but lost my purchase of AI Avatars function. ‘Restore purchase’ button does nothing. Have to contact support now - annoying :((

Used to be good, now it’s bad. Have had a weekly subscription for most part of the past year… worked quite well.. until I was forced to update.. once updated, I was signed out, and asked to sign up or enjoy a 3 day trial lol… the subscription was still current in my iPhone subscription list… tried signing in but nothing… clicked the 3 day trial.. and was stuck on loading forever, after making a prompt… and now after reading everyone’s latest reviews, I decided to just cancel my subscription… no point in paying for something that a) asks me to pay again lol and b) doesn’t seem to work

Easy to use - reasonably priced AI Image Generator. Tried a few and either they were too expensive and gave me strange outcome. This one seemed simpler and more correct results.

Terrible terrible terrible - took my cash too.. Tried it out from a social media link. I paid for the Avatars so that’s done. I paid for a 3 day trial on the other. I got a set of avatars and then when I tried again it sat on 72 minutes to go for days. I couldn’t reset so I reinstalled the application and now it won’t recognise me, my payment, or my ability to restore my purchase. Do better - there are many, many more apps like this much better, easier to use and won’t eat your money.

3 day trial is a lie. If you download the software, you will be Offered a three day trial. However, the time of the three day trial is Miss calculated. On April 24 I was offered a trial which expired on April 25 with billing to commence on April 26. Sounds like a one and a bit day trial to me. I don’t trust any software developer who is dishonest with their initial promise. What are the promises that they make to you when you install the software are they going to break?

Disappointed. I signed up and paid $10 for the week. I wanted to edit a photo to remove the person behind me, which cost an additional $7. The result? A blurred but still clearly visible person in the background. Then I tried the signature app, but every option was just my name in generic cursive. Finally, I used the photo generator to create a "Cocker Spaniel in space"—it gave me nothing but a black screen.

Highly disappointing. It wasn’t good enough to provide me with one image I could use, and because it took me a few days of trying to get the right image, it subscribed me, however the subscription wasn’t “premium”, so the number of images generated after the free trial dropped from 4 to 1 image on a subscription. I can barely describe my disappointment.

My experience. So I’d like to start off with saying not costed a decent amount, which I would expect but not that much + the only option to not pay was you had to was a 30 second add just to be met with a half and unrealistic baked photo, for example you say a “brown lobster that is swimming in the ocean with a shark about to eat it behind it” might give you a photo of an orange lobster in water etc

Beware of paywall. As a developer, I try to give the most objective appraisal possible. This app does not allow you to sample their software, even for a review. If you’re someone interested in trying out the power of AI image generation on your phone, you should probably look to the next app in the list. This app does not provide a decent measure of its effectiveness, nor does it provide an actual sample of its power unless you ‘subscribe’. Very frustrating to download a deliberately non-reviewable (read: paywall and/or subscription expectation) app, but hopefully any other users might see this and just use a free online AI generator with a prompt, rather than paying money when the app hasn’t even proven it can do what it says on the tin (especially better than a free alternative!) In short, I would not recommend this app, and to the developers: be better.

Barely works.. Used to love this app but now it’s horrible. It makes my phone laggy and stops working after one prompt. Not to mention the worst part which is that it gives me a ‘NSFW’ warning for everything even things that can in no way be seen as nsfw, like snakes. What is dirty about snakes. I’m uninstalling this and never using it again.

It does not at all match the definition given. I asked it draw something from a particular region of the world and it was completely off. Not only that I asked it to draw people from different ethnic backgrounds and it completely ignored my description. Pretty glad I didn’t pay for the trial.

Amazing. I have used davinci for a while from free using ads to unlock images to now using premium, not always the most accurate but I can’t blame them use ChatGPT to help create more specific prompts if needed but this is the best bang for ya buck for ai generators 100% recommend and wish I committed to the subscription earlier

Pretty Ordinary. For some reason I thought this would be like Chat GPT only for art, but the quality of the app is far from it. The Mac app is rubbish. Very glitchy and difficult to use. Very basic features with subscription, and doesn’t even save previous prompts. Results generated are pretty average too. Honestly better of just doing a google search for a base image the do you artistic magic in photo editor and other apps.

Hi quality Al image generator but horrible technical support. I liked this app at the beginning and it generates decent quality images. I don’t recommend to purchase it though. I have paid for the premium account but never gained access to any of the premium features and my account remained on free plan. This is may happen sometime, but I expected to be resolved by the technical support team. I sent them the issue and they are the worst I have ever dealt with. Unresponsive, generic irrelevant discussions. They sent to me 3 emails but never mention anything about the main issue. The first one Like an automated reply with generic troubleshooting steps like uninstall and reinstall the app. I have followed every step although I knew they are irrelevant. Nothing resolved. They don’t care and now I’m talking to Apple for a refund. Garbage don’t purchase

Ai art isn’t my usual liking but I’m very surprised. Although I’m not too convinced of the positives of ai art this app has been very useful to create references and base models for proper sketching and painting on topics or characters with not too much available. overall it has been a useful tool to help start some sketches and collect reference photos

How it measures up against others. I’ve tried a few of these apps now in my quest to find the “best “ ai image generator available in the App Store. So naturally i had to try “da Vinci” since it has a pretty decent rating and it seems to be one of the most popular. It wouldn’t even generate on a “free account” even after numerous attempts after watching the prerequisite “advert” to get there…so i figured id trial the paid pro account. Surely that many people couldn’t be wrong could they!? And Oh My dear God… so…so…so…shockingly… BAD. Awful. No one in their right mind would pay for results like this. No one. Got to honestly be one of THE WORST available in the app store atm. And it costs more than others per week! Go figure! In conclusion, I wouldn’t believe A SINGLE POSITIVE REVIEW on here. they’re clearly all fake/purchased. Don’t waste your time or your money. There are plenty of much much better AI image generator apps out there

Crashes, Awful images. Doesn’t bother to follow the text correctly or at all sometimes. For example text says black horse it generates a completely different colour…Extremely poor quality images. Seems to really struggle with faces and generates generic images over and over. Very good ad creating the generic hyper sexualised female characters. Charges you money and starts generating images only to crash continuously. Waste of money!

This is pretty awesome once you get into it. Play with the settings and be quite descriptive about what you want and this app will deliver - very impressed.

Product wasn’t unlocked after paying. Stay away from this app. I spent 50 AUD and got nothing in return, still waiting for the app to stop asking me for money and give me the pro account that I paid for. Not much to say, the app is full of bugs and is a total scam. If you want a good avatar app go for facedance or dawn, there are plenty good ones out there. Good luck.

Artificially stupid. This app is a scam. The ad tells you that it you just type in your name, place of birth and zodiac sign and the stupid app spits out a picture of a house in your neighbourhood. Talk about artificially stupid over intelligence, I wouldn’t waste my time money for bother giving the good review they ask for before they even lead to trial the app because it’s an absolute piece of junk.

Took money but no features. Produces fun images, but I paid $50 for the year and few weeks later and still won’t register that I’ve upgraded and is asking for money for any pro features

Am I using it wrong?. I downloaded the app because I saw an add on it about a signature and since at the time I wanted to improve my signature I installed. But as soon as I installed there were offers popping up on my screen telling me to pay to use the app, I thought I could use it for free so I clicked the x. When I found the AI signature feature I typed in my name but then again a offer popped up and told me I had to spend money to create the signature instead of just watching an add (which is what the app originally said was all I had to do). I also tried to create my own style for it. Am I just using it wrong?

WOW !!!. I am completely enchanted by this application of AI !!! I have barely just downloaded the app but the description + 1 or two brief experiments with it have left me reeling !!!

DaVinci has never heard of Australia?. The images are OK but if you ask it to generate images of AUSTRALIAN Aboriginal people it will give you Americans. If you ask it to generate the AUSTRALIAN Aboriginal flag, it will give you a nondescript Asian flag of some kind. If you ask it to generate the AUSTRALIAN flag, it will give you anything BUT the Australian flag. And if you ask it to give you an image of a group of white and Aboriginal Australians, it will give you a group of Asians. If you as it to generate an image of an AUSTRALIAN aboriginal elder, it will give you an image of an African man from Africa. These are consistent. I’ve changed the prompt and description many times. I’ve asked it to regenerate repeatedly. But I get the same ridiculous results because DaVinic has never heard of Australia.

Prompt interpretation is lacking. While the app is cheap, the experience has been frustrating and ultimately not worth the savings. Crafting prompts that generate accurate images is far more difficult than it should be. I’ve even relied on more advanced AI models to help refine my prompts and eliminate ambiguity, but key details are still often missing or entirely wrong. This leaves me spending a significant amount of time fixing or reworking the output. While it’s affordable, the extra effort required to get anything usable makes it feel like more hassle than it’s worth.

Disappointed as I paid for the year. Sadly I paid for the yearly subscription to find a tattoo design. It will only let me make 50 designs a day (even though most of those were just past midnight last night) For a paid service I’d definitely expect unlimited designs as they aren’t quite precise.

App Tricked me into getting a useless subscription. I was using the app and found it impossible to do anything on free - so I got a pop up where it said pro was on a special discount for only $30 a year. So I bought it and found I still couldn’t use any of the ai store features or other styles! What for??! What was I charged $30 upfront for if I can’t do anything?! So I had to buy the proper $60 a year subscription just to use those features so in total I was charged $90 IN TEN MINUTES. I DEMAND A REFUND of the $30 I paid for a subscription that had no information on it and no features!!! So it was just a money grabbing pop up that I wasted my money on!!

Found my sleeve!!. Was very sceptical, it is very glitchy and freezes on occasion, but once searching through categories and typing what I wanted, BOOM I have my piece!

Very sporadic and what it will let you do from day to day. Program will let you do one design four weeks on end and then tell you that you can’t do it tell you against breaching their NSFW agreement, customer support is extremely poor. Would highly recommend that you find any other product other than this one. I would suggest most of the high ratings on this would be written by staff members for the company itself if not by one person sitting down continuously writing the same great reviews over and over and over again, honestly look elsewhere

It’s good but I have some criticisms.. Whenever generating something, it’s hard to tell whether it will come out nice or wonky. For example, any art that has large armies etc or subjects, their faces will look totally deformed. Other than that, it’s completely great and I highly recommend it. I just hope that the developers can fix that one criticism!!

Room for obvious improvement. 2 major issues stop me from truly appreciating the app. The limit of 50 images in a 24 hour period is insulting considering the weekly charge I am paying (not monthly, WEEKLY) and the other consistent issue is how clunky entering prompts becomes. You cannot exit your existing prompt without typing the whole thing out again and often the style you’ve chosen will randomly change to AI nightmare fuel which feels irritating for, and I’m coming back around to this again, a paid app. DaVinci has promise but it truly isn’t where it needs to be yet

SCAM REPORT TO APPLE. I signed up for the 3 day free trial i then cancelled the so called free trial the next day and was trying to be charged for the app i didn’t even want in the first place i only signed up for the free trial to see what it was like was not even worth downloading the app in the first place yet alone signing up for the free trial the developers if you can even call them developers won’t even respond to my numerous emails or messages on social media

Black screen. Some results are beautiful, some are just plain weird, such as arms as long as the whole body, 3 legs instead of two, dogs with two snouts, moon rising out of a lake etc. In addition, half the results are black screens! And they count towards the 50 creations! The developers really need to get their act together and, first, get rid of the black screen, and then get engine working properly. At the moment, not worth the 50 bucks….

Words to magic. I would highly recommend DaVinci to anyone wanting to create stunning art work . I use DaVinci exclusively to create images for social media. The art is amazing and reflects fairly accurately my written content. I also love the way DaVinci gives me 4 image creations to choose from .

Scammers don't download. This company stole money from my account 3 months after I cancelled my subscription they took over $100 from my bank account. I have tried to email the support team 3 times with no luck or reply. I would never have used them or this app had I have known they are money grabbers.

Good at first then it glitches and makes horrible photos. At first it was amazing; made beautiful photos, photos aren’t very clear, faces warped. After a few days it wasn’t making what I asked it would just make mixed photos and glitched very bad. I’m thinking of just deleting it because it’s just not working anymore

Hard to know what to make of it without pro. Upon downloading, you’re prompted to sign up for the subscription. Your two options are sign up for $60 per year, or $10 per week for unlimited use. I haven’t tried it so I can’t confirm whether it is true or not. If you decide not to sign up, you get to make 5 images by for free. They show you a 30 second ad, then you wait for the image, and you only get 1 image. They seem to turn out pretty well, but if the one image doesn’t turn out, you have to do the whole thing over again. Another 30 second ad and wait for the ai to do its thing. After 5 images are made you run out of chances. It looks like after 24 hours you can get one more image? Overall not worth it if you can’t pay for it. If money is not an object this app is probably okay.

A very good AI app that is developing fast. DaVinci AI seems to be growing quickly. Has features of many other AI generators though the Avatar creation is unique. I have had need to ask the developers questions and their efficient responses were both fast and effective. Keep the development going guys.

Not working. Been trying to use this for 2 days now it won’t work I tried to uninstall and update my iPad toning is working don’t rely on this app

Absolute Garbage - Don’t waste your money!. I tried the 3 day trial for $9.99. What a waste of money! They make tattoos that make no sense and nothing like the descriptions. I asked for a tattoo with a simple planet Saturn and Music Symbol and they gave me several elaborate tattoos nothing remotely like I would want. And they were too elaborate for any tattoo I’ve seen. Such a stupid app.

Needed Improvements. DaVinci can do much better to make this a more user-friendly experience. All of the options “animate image” “iterate with image” do not have any prompts nor do they follow the original prompts. So the animation runs wild. You have davinci create a photo of somebody with a drink in there hand, you’d think it would be simple to have the animation make them drink it.. no no that is too complicated for davinci and it just moves the characters mouths while holding the drink. Why the hell can i not add a prompt to the additional resources? Davinci dev’s you are lazy. People there are better options I encourage you to explore them until Davinci stops gaslighting users and just simplifies this process, which just needs additional input options so the ai is not reiterating images based on absolutely no user input, just a photo. The app cannot determine context or spacial awareness at all so what is the point of iteration? Also iterations will take minutes and minutes to only fail in the end and force the app to crash. Fix this buggy mess. You will not get the money I “owe” you until I get the product that you advertised to me.

Not worth it. I tried multiple different things and different categories and was having very little success. The writing made no sense either. I tried a Mario themed one and it gave him a third leg coming out his rear end… the idea is cool but having to pay for something that is very limited is definitely not worth it.

Crazy. So basically, I asked it to modify an image I had. It look a really short time to load, and when I had gotten the image, it was pure black. The girl in the image? Disappeared. There wasn’t a speck of white or colour in the image. I thought it was a glitch, so I tried again. And surely it happened AGAIN.

Silly time limit. App is cool but I happened to use it when I couldn’t sleep (11:30pm) and it’s now the next night and can’t use it at all till 12am? Why not make it per day, not exactly 24hrs. Like new day should start at 12:01am or something. I’ll be wasting a whole day now because I won’t stay up again.

Really?. I accidentally clicked the sub button and canceled it immediately—yet they still charged me $55. Oh and their website doesn’t work so customer service is trash.

Sadly crash and burn. Very buggy. Keeps freezing and black-screen-of-death-ing. Controls either lack intuitiveness OR are frozen (conclusion not possible). Far lower level of development and artistic nuance by comparison to Midjourney, is not even in the same ballpark as Starry AI for complex interpretation of prompts. Seemed like a worthwhile trial but ongoing crashes tell me this will be an exercise in frustration. I’ll come back in 12 months or so to reassess progress but you’re a bad fit for my skills and requirements at the moment.

Misleading junk. Got an ad on TikTok that claimed this app could make a signature. I tried the free trial and it gives you like 10 options of signature styles but can only make 1 style despite picking something else. It’s essentially just writing your name in a different font. Super misleading

Horriable. I paid for nothing and they’ve somehow swiped my card twice for 9.99. I never approved any payment!! Would gratefully appreciate a refund.

This app is CRAP!. I’ve already described what I want so clearly so many different times and no matter how much I’ve tried, it doesn’t spit out anything even a single iota close to what I wanted! TRASH!

Good but limited. I find the app good and easy to use. However even if you pay for the full year subscription you are still limited to just 50 images. That is if you even get 50 images. I myself just paid and the app said I have used up all my 50 but in reality it was closer to 10. This is good for quick simple uses. The AI Really struggles with multiple characters, and occasionally blends human and objects together. Not for commercial use.

Awesome. I’m not huge on AI apps but I decided to try this one and I was pleasantly surprised by how accurate and creative it was. I typed in my vision with just a couple of words and after a moment it created Alan image that I couldn’t have imagined myself. It is going to be my next tattoo and I’m absolutely in love. If you’re stuck on deciding what image you want to use for any situation I highly recommend giving this app a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Download issue. I’ve been having an issue with downloading the pictures I’ve generated. Everytime I do so, the window pops up for me to download but It only pops up half way hiding the download button and takes away the ability to remove the water mark. Please fix otherwise I’m gonna need a refund on my yearly subscription because this glitch effectively takes away the purpose of the app

Decent app, needs work. Doesn’t seem to be a way to access prior prompts and images, so you have to save that (including the seed value) yourself somewhere outside the app? Is that not in the trial? Thought trial unlocked everything? Lack of history is otherwise a deal-breaker. Most of the advanced settings don’t appear to apply to DALL-E. Tried DALL-E once with default settings; results were garbage. Defaults should always produce a good image. When saving, periodically says it can’t because download in progress. Should either download in foreground vs background or provide a progress indicator. Download UI button seems to get stuck sometimes and neither respond nor give an error. Can’t use previously downloaded high res image as input without cropping. Should allow for on-device scaling if it can’t work with larger images.

Just signed up. So I just signed up for your app and yes I paid for it. But everything I try to create it comes back saying an error has occurred????? How do you expect people to stay with your app when other apps have images in less than 10 seconds flat and I can’t even get one prompt to work and create an image. I was hopeful thinking the app would work fine and fast like it says if you sign up for the paid version and all I get is a lousy “an error has occurred” making me start all over from scratch and even then it won’t work. Get the bugs fixed on your app if you really expect people to stick around!!!!

Really Amazing Art!. At first I was like, Okay with it because it was futuristic, something out of a sci-if magazine… but then when I submitted the 10+ photos to do art of me, myself and I, haha that’s when I was blown away! It produced really great pieces. I was so surprised what it created. I do have the paid version (a little pricey I think) if you want artistic pieces you could literally frame and hang and your friends will be like who did that piece then this is your goto Artist! Great job developers!!

Much more useful than ChatGPT. DaVinci is much more useful than ChatGPT. What’s odd about it is that seems to render words that denote expressions like sad, happy, and somber much more readily than phrases that I think would be easier to understand like “at night”, “stands in front of”, and “and looks at”. But it’s better than ChatGPT. One drawback though is when asked to include the prompt when downloading a picture, it doesn’t include the entire prompt. Also, it seems to remember/store relatively few creations.

Very disappointed. The description gave me the impression I could do things in the app that I cannot do, such as manipulating my own photos. The app points to a Discord server, but I can’t do anything there, either. Regarding the app, I sent a question to the developers when I first purchased the unlimited option for the app several weeks ago. I’ve heard nothing back. While it is possible to create some things with the app, it doesn’t let me do what I thought the description was saying I could do, and I’m getting no response from my queries for help. If something changes, I’ll be glad to change this opinion, but my current opinion is this app is a scam and should be avoided.

Gauging me for $$$. First I paid $20 for unlimited lifetime access. But then when I wanted to create an avatar, they tell you you have to pay $5 a week for unlimited avatars so I paid that. Then after three avatars, they said I have to pay $3 dollars for everyone after that, because I only have credits for three per day. Apple shouldn’t allow this type of price structure with endless layers of hidden costs. 3/3/24 update: even though I paid for the unlimited avatars weekly subscription, I lost the ability to create avatars after the second day. It says I’ve used all my credits for the day, and I haven’t used the app for the past couple days.

Not happy at all!. I gave a very specific and detailed explanation of what I wanted and only one of the generated art works even had the right dog in them. Other than that not a single thing matched what I asked for!! To top it off, I had to sit through adds each time, and was only able to do so 5 times a day. This app is bogus, ai is bogus! If you want a killer tattoo that is personalized then do it the old fashioned way, sit down with your artist and share your concept with them, allow them some artistic freedom while being honest about what you want & let them do their thing. It may take a few days or even weeks, but you’ll be so much happier with the results

It’s alright. Honestly, it’s not as good as Wonder, in spite of its ratings. what it generates is so-so. lots of smudged up faces and multiple arms. The app keeps freezing up in the creation process and I have to turn my phone off and then back on. I’ve had to do that at least five times in the last day. I’m still in the free trial period and I’m sorry to say I’m not interested. The app looks really cool and there are a lot of interesting things to select, the final product is just no more impressive than other apps that are less expensive.

If they charge you money it should work good. They want $5 a week, but you have a limit to how many pictures you are allowed to generate daily!?!? And ontop of that you are forced to generate tons of pictures because when you type in what you want generated, the specifics don’t matter, it just loads very generic pictures for what you requested (with hands and faces often looking like disturbing deformities) it is capable of creating some beautiful artwork… just not what you requested and only for a limited number of tries

Kinda fun but mostly off the mark. No matter how detailed and well worded the instructions are, the app often misses the mark. The images it generates will often not be what is asked for and in some cases will be low quality and underwhelming. On one occasion, the app generated an image with the “GETTY IMAGES” tag included from the source material, so be careful because this bad boy is pulling copyrighted images. This app will NOT replace a competent graphic artist. If you’re bored, it’s a fair kick and a decent way to kill time if you want to see how zany you can get. Overall though, this app is not a winner. AI has a ways to go. At least commercial AI image generators.

Good but not great. Fairly expensive for an app that crashes, freezes and puts limits of how many items you can create….charges a weekly price. The AI it’s self is great but it couldn't create a few pictures. Also if your asking for a weekly price you should be able to create however many items you want. The app it self when it can create is spectacular and had it not been for the weekly price I may have kept it.

Broken app. No customer support. Firstly, I did not pay for the subscription beyond the first two weeks. I paid $40 to make unlimited avatars which was fine the first couple of times I used it, but the last time I tried to choose a different style of avatar and it has been saying “Ready in 5 mins” for over a month now. I have updated the app, sent emails to support with no response, and tried choosing a different style, but I get, “We’re creating a pack… wait for the avatars to be ready before starting a new training.” I would like them to fix it or give me my money back.

Terrible. I got tricked into a yearly subscription. When I tried to create a video I got four photos. Also wouldn’t allow you create a video with your own photos. They will probably say I didn’t do it the right way; however, you shouldn’t have to hunt and peck for a miniscule tutorial to figure it out. I canceled my subscription and asked for my money back although I’m sure that will never happen. After trying so many video apps, I know why they don’t offer a free trial. They are nothing but scammers and know that no one would ever purchase the app if they had the chance to see it first. From now on I will not purchase an app unless I can try it first. I don’t buy a car without trying it. Avoid at all costs.

Bummer. I could not get anything other than what looked like original Salvador Dali paintings, and that was when I tried to make an avatar of my dog. It basically took everything on the photo but the dog and created a surreal landscape. I tried changing the input photo and it did a decent job on her body……with the head of a cat! That was it’s best after 15 or so tries. It cannot make a black and white cartoon style image of a man with round glasses sailing a Laser sail boat or a family of four on a sloop. And unlike chat gpt you cannot modify the image given, but even If you could to would be hard to know where to start. So either I do not how to use it, or it is just not ready yet.

I never could us it. I downloaded this to make a quick sketch for Father’s Day of an image. I was willing to pay for the sketch and this had decent reviews. I tried multiple things and it kept saying an error occurred. I did this for almost an hour. Sketches, cartoons, you name it. It isn’t a quick and easy thing, and definitely not worth the quoted $6.99/week I would be charged. I was so upset. I can draw and sketch, but willing to pay to make it easier and this ruined my time. I’m also a photographer, so seeing this AI again, sucking, it makes me thankful there are real people willing to help and maneuver images.

It’s a sales job for PRO. Boy I am disappointed in this app. Everything on here is to push you towards buying the pro version over and over and over again. You have to watch about a minute worth of ads if not more to generate an image. I am really disappointed in da Vinci for putting something like this out. You could at least get four or five images a day or some kind of a limit but not to sit there and watch ad after ad after ad for video games that keep popping up trying to get you to install them, tricky to install them, and lean you towards trying to buy the pro version. Do not download

Find other oprions. First, it charged immediately for the "Free Trial" so don't try unless you have used someone's that already paid for it. Such a hassle to get the refund as well. $6.99 is not a lot but there's principals to "Free Trial", no charge until after the trial ends not up front. Second, wasn't too impressed with what the AI generated. Itt never actually matched what I was looking for and the characters were pretty much the same and not like me or what I was attempting to create. Honestly, the charge up front is what aggravated me most and really had me dissecting every detail of the app

Scary & Amazing!. Could not be more blown away by the speed in which it creates the image I describe. This app is creating better marketing in 60 seconds that I could not accomplish in the past year! This will eventually take our jobs, that is the scary side of it all. For now, I will use it to learn everything I can and to help me grow our small business in ways I could have never imagined. Get onboard or get left behind …. Truly remarkable results!

Frustrating Subscription Experience: Pay Twice for Full Access?. to the service using the web browser on my computer and assumed I could log in to the mobile app using the same account. While I was able to log in, the app didn’t recognize my subscription, and it required me to pay again to access its features. This was frustrating, especially since the mobile app offers more functionality than the desktop version, like the ability to upload images. If I’m missing something here, I’d love clarification, but if not, I can’t recommend this service. Having to pay twice for the same account is unreasonable.

Misleading Ad. The ad legit to believe you could do all sorts of wonderful things. The ad showed a picture of a long lost relative appearing in a picture. All I could do is put in an idea and it would generate a picture. But even that, it doesn’t generate everything you put. For example, I put “a Yorky, with a pink bow, taking care of a kitten in an old-fashioned kitchen“ I got the Yorkie with a bow in the kitchen, but no kitten, and it seemed like a pretty clear request. There’s a place where you can get avatars of yourself, but it’s additional money. I wasted 3999 at a time when I really could use the money. I should have did the free trial because I would’ve discovered how useless this app actually is.

I see a lot of negative in the reviews. I see a lot of people saying the art is poor quality and that it looks nothing like the pics on the App Store. Well, I have to disagree, all the pictures ive generated have been awesome! I love the app. And I haven’t had any glitches or anything. I signed up and after generating maybe two ideas, I payed for pro account. I am satisfied and I don’t see myself using any other AI generator. Thanks. And no I ain’t a bot. I’m from Oklahoma and I sell storage sheds. Lol.

The first AI program I’ve ever used and I’m hooked. There is something to be said for good advertising😉! I’ve always stayed away from all the AI programs, partly from the fear of the unknown, partly from the ethical and moral dilemmas running around in my head (I have artists in my family). But you got me with the “need help designing your tattoos?”😜 This program is easy enough for this GenXer to pick up right away! It was a lot more fun than I anticipated as well! Thank you, DaVinci!

This wasn’t going to get 3 stars but then they updated the app!. This app has changed significantly since the last version. The features offered are now outstanding and quality of the images is superb. The ability to upload a base image has changed the use of this app for the better in an unlimited amount of ways. Absolutely amazing. I am an artist and paint with acrylics, this app allows me to create what I see in my mind to have a visual and a photo reference to paint by. This is absolutely an amazing app and would highly recommend to anyone who is an artist. Update I have had the app for 2 days and it has had an error message both days I have had to delete and reinstall! I hope those bugs get fixed soon

Don ‘t do it. I downloaded this and figured I’d give it a try. First there’s absolutely no free trial so if you want to try it you have to pay for it only to find out it’s junk. Then after you pay it says everything is unlocked but you find it wants you to pay more for things if your written prompts ask for specific things. I figured (like and idiot) let me try this too, and immediately regretted it. The program only very basically follows your prompts and does not come anywhere close to creating what you ask it to. I canceled my subscription immediately and it sure would be nice if I could get a refund. But I know that’s just a dream, just like hoping this app would be worth anything.

Absolutely incredible. What an amazing AI text to photo generator. DaVinci has several styles of art to choose from; like realism, Pixar, tattoo, character, so much more! I have been using DaVinci to create my own iPhone backgrounds! I docked one star because I’m having a hard time understanding what uploading your own photos does. When I upload a photo of myself and tell it what to do and what not to do, it just gives me insane looking results. Would love to hear more about this. Nonetheless, the rest is perfect and will only get better. Thank you so much

Crashes/50 Image Limit. There should be no limit when paying $$$ on number of images generated. Especially when the app consistently changes/won’t allow my chosen aspect ratio to work (I select 2:3 and the images come out 1:1), and gets stuck in an infinite load screen when trying to immediately save your generated images (you have to go to your profile to save them to avoid the bug). The images are overall very high quality. The AI often misinterprets or outright ignores certain prompt details but spits out neat stuff nonetheless. Would change to 5 stars if the bugs were fixed and the image cap was lifted.

Unexpected error. I wish I read the reviews. That being said, if I didn’t keep getting an unexpected error to occur every time I tried using it, then it would be an amazing app. I was having a lot of fun using this app to create several ideas I had in my head and bringing them to life and it works better than the other AI Artist app I was using. Also one time payments are always better than subscriptions in my opinion so that was a plus, but the unexpected error is something that I am not sure I can keep dealing with. I’m on the verge of asking for a refund because of it. Please fix the app so that I can keep enjoying creating art with it. I will fix my review if they end up fixing the generic error screen.

Don’t bother with it. First off, it’s not good, it gives very generic images and has all the typical early stage AI distortions making the “art” useless, second, even if you cancel right after starting the free trial they charge you the following week (though subscriptions will say “canceled as of” and a date in the future). DO NOT USE, don’t try the free trial, it isn’t even available in a capacity to use outside of subscription so they do this fooling you into thinking you’ll have a chance to check it out, but scam you for subscription fee even if you cancel it essentially right after trying it. In all, product is sub par at best and practices essentially fraud with the charging even if you cancel before a free trial is over.

Waste of money! Limited use even with purchases!. I wish I could one get my money back and 2 rate this as a negative 5 stars. I got a notice while using the app, that I’m capped on how many images I can produce a day, even with purchasing the subscription! The features that do work are available free on most platforms, the custom upload of external pics doesn’t seem to work. Only text prompts and changing styles. Very limited functionality, could be used to get templates and then transfer images as linear prompts or image to image variants in other apps. This one needs a lot of functions fixed and patched though. Don’t waste the money.

Sideways and Sugar music production. I like this application or software or whatever you call it. I’m super poor or whatever but enjoy using this application to make artwork for my other art project and could consider using this application for my music albums known as Sideways and Sugar. I am a certified executive recording artist in electronic digital production and also do graphic art digitally. The reality of using a professional program for free is really a way of Sideways and Sugar musical computer composition .

Couldn’t even get it to make a flag. I was struggling to get it to create anything specific. I even tested it with flags, and most flag options I would enter, would just populate some version of the American flag. It seems to be good at making very base designs. I prompted “Mobile Suit Gundam with Boricua Inspiration” for some reason I got an American Mobile Suit, an American Flag, a Mobile Suit with the Flag of Texas behind it, and a Mobile Suit in front of the American flag. I did the same with Taino replacing Boricua, and received similar results as above. I was hoping it would utilize Native Caribbean (Taino) art or something equivalent with Mobile Suit Gundam as the premise, not plaster American Patriotism.

Does not follow simple instructions. It can not follow these simple instructions: “ Make a picture of a pool table with the top (the felt) looking like an American flag. Ridiculous on iPhone. I just downloaded this app today and so far it has crashed like 5 out of 10 times on my mobile phone. Also the NSFW disclaimer is so obnoxious. If certain content is not supposed to be created maybe just enable the algorithm from creating it in the first place? It’s a little creepy that the word “attractive” triggers a NSFW warning. Even with the words “not se*ually explicit” in the prompt I still get weird stuff generated apparently because the NSFW disclaimer pops up. I wouldn’t know because I can’t see any of the art generated. This app makes me feel like a perv for no reason and provides no value. So lame.

Doesn’t follow wording. I tried to make some in depth pictures as well as a very simplistic monogram. The in depth creativity is relatively decent, but when you tell it NOT to do something, it doesn’t work. As for a very simple monogram for an embroidery design, it could not generate. I tried various themes like no theme, various logo styles, etc. Even when saying things like “very simplistic monogram letters ZEV in modern purple font with simple purple arrows border in square shape with curved corners”, it kept making fancy designs no matter which theme I used. I worded it multiple ways like adding very legible ZEV letters. It even did things like change it to ZEVV, etc. simple monograms/logos is not its thing.

Fantastic app for creating great art. I really like this app! It has allowed me to create some really great designs. It has saved me a lot of time and effort. Recently, they did a system upgrade and now instead of getting three designs I’m able to get four at one time which saves me even more effort and time. I just really like it. I’m always surprised to see what pops up, and most of the time it’s really great. I also like the filters because it allows me to tweak the image.

As a professional artist myself, this is awesome. It is fun and I get lost in re-creating images I have found it to be enjoyable as a fun past time. The only downside to the app is that you have to be very intricate with your words if you want to get the outcome that you’re looking for it’s not as simple as putting in three words, and getting what you want, if that makes any sense.

Poor Intent Reading. I tried to utilize the advance settings to get the kind of image I want, but I could not get them to work. Every time I would click apply settings I received no indication that anything was changed, and I received the same style of image over and over again. So instead I tried to explain in words as thoroughly as I could in the prompt. I described what I wanted and specified that I wanted a bright, romantic style NOT dark and moody. Yet, everyone without fail I got dark and moody. I tried many different prompts each more specific than the last, dark and moody, dark and moody, over and over again.

Rip off. First off this app isn’t free. It’s $5/WEEK or a one time payment of $29 for life. Why is this a rip off? Well it’s $5/week with 52 weeks in a year so that’s $5x52 and that comes out to about $260 a year! they are clearly hoping to trick people who aren’t paying attention! Also their ai art is not good. I also have the “wonder” ai app which is $10/MONTH and the two apps produce about the same results. Not great results, sometimes good but sometimes not. But I do highly recommend the ai app “wonder”. $10/month isn’t bad in my opinion and it is easier to use. I have gotten a few really good pictures from it. I would like to find a better ai app but this one right here isn’t it.

Gotta pay to use and it’s the worst app I’ve bought. I was trying to look for tattoo ideas and it. It’s terrible. I wanted to download it for tattoo ideas but this is honestly such a waste. It selects 3 basic tattoos if you select the tattoo section and type something in. And btw the 3 ideas all just looked horrible. So I was trying to look at their selection typing in random stuff and all the pics were just so random. For example typing in California can pop up with 3 anime looking girls. Lol. so I put cali logo and it was like random logos that look like blocks of a graffiti artist that doesn’t know what he’s doing(and doesn’t even spell Cali. So disappointed.

Just awesome. Honestly, I saw it on TikTok and thought it was going to be crap. Didn’t even check the reviews. I open the app and start putting down what comes to mind. One ad later and I am seeing some pretty awesome things. To those of you saying you can’t load the image it could just be a phone issue. I have an iPhone 7 that just doesn’t load anything yet it loaded the artwork pretty alright.

Lost Access to Premium features after buying it. I purchased the premium for a week then canceled it so I wouldn’t be recharged as I just wanted to try it out and only needed a few good images. After canceling and going back to the app, I noticed I lost ALL of my premium features even though it doesn’t end for another 5 days. And then it gives me prompts to subscribe back to it. I will *not* be buying it again. I purchased it and can’t even use the features I paid for. It removes them after a cancellation even tho I still have 5 DAYS LEFT

Is it just me?. Ok, I installed this app so I could generate myself a profile pick of my cousins fursona. I spend AGES typing in the description, and finally- when I finish, I click “create”. And you know what it does? It says “please input a main art style”. So I click onto the button that is supposed to take you to the section so you can do that- and nothing pops up. (Well- the button puts the area where you select on the screen) I wait until the art styles can load- but they never did. Now I’m stuck here with a disappointed cousin and hours wasted of trying to find a generator that generates the image correctly. I’m crossing this one out.

Please restore LOTR style!. As a general review: the app is not very convenient to use. It does not save your prompts, and if you want to use the same style for many images, you have to manually scroll through all the styles to select it for each image. There’s no way to save your favorite styles or something like that. However, I’ve been able to make some pretty nice images. Most of them I have to touch up a bit using GIMP because they have strange eyes or hands. But I’ve made some nice stuff. However, my favorite style was removed without warning from the styles section. The LOTR style is what I used to make all my images and now it’s just gone. Please restore the LOTR style!

Paid Version Is Same as Free. I purchased unlimited lifetime access and when I noticed that I was only able to create a limited number of images a day, I emailed the developers. They told me that I had a trial account and that my access had expired. I replied with a photo of the $30 charge showing I purchased the lifetime account and they ghosted me. I’ve emailed several times politely asking for help and I’ve never gotten a reply. If you decide to download this - don’t pay for any other access levels. They are all the same as the free and you won’t have any recourse.

Crashes often. The app creates beautiful images when it works but the results are hit and miss, and the app crashes a frustrating amount. It also bogs down my entire phone and interrupts functionality of my phone and all other apps. If I uninstall it everything runs perfectly. As soon as I reinstall I can maybe get a few images but I know I need to be quick in case there is an incoming call or text because I will not be able to answer the call or reply to the text while the app is installed. I would LOVE this app if it didn’t crash and interfere with my phones functionality.

😑. Paid for the app, this app appeared to have good promise, but did not work as described. The images I could finally get to download were very low resolution. This app always shuts off when trying to design. It gives options in advance mode that NEVER works, and the app shuts off. This app is extremely buggy. I wish I would have read more of the bad reviews before buying. I only read the first few, not realizing that they were fronts to hide all the bad reviews. I paid for the year, so I guess I am stuck. If the developers are reading this- fix your darn app so that it actually works. Thank you.

Useless!!!. I did a “trial” and used this for a few days. Everything I generated had terrible spelling of even simple words, and random placement of letters. Then, I try it this morning because I paid for a week of this useless app, only to find “new features,” which really amount to the developer putting prompts in to hound you constantly to upgrade. I have another “trial” that shows, which means guess what? Yep, the week that I paid for? Gone. To add insult to injury, you can now watch an ad for a “free ai image,” which brings up an X that doesn’t ever work, so you can’t get to the “free image.” Terrible! Deleting.

Unbelievable. Not only do you make people pay/sign up to even try this program, you make people pay two different times. Despite the underhanded tactics used to get people to spend money, the art itself wasn’t terrible. But error messages flood the app whenever you actually use it for more than a couple of sessions. I wasn’t even able to use the avatar creator because of error messages given with no context. And now I can’t even generate pictures at all. Looking down the list of reviews tells me everything I need to know. Requesting a full refund immediately, and I’d recommend patching this app before charging close to 60$ for all the features.

Updated review. Hope I can get my money back. App logged me out. Tried to log back in. Keeps giving me warrning message. That’s exact how it’s spelled out too. Reset password still can’t get back in. Deleted app reinstalled still cannot log in. Yesterday I tried to log back in and for some reason it worked! The developers did reach out to me with concern, which is good. I didn’t think they would get back to me. All in all satisfied with the app.
