Shokz Comments & Reviews 2026
For those with hearing loss of ranges. I first head these head phones in a sporting goods store and i was very impressed at what i could hear. I did my due diligence and researched bone conduction hearing. Having hearing issues with loss of several different frequencies i had hearing aids but they didn’t quite help and trying to use a phone using them and other blue tooth devices still caused loss of what was being conversed and frequently i would have to ask for clarification or repeating of what was said. I had a long discussion with a lady at Shokz and was impressed with my questions being answered and did buy the newer version of the open run 2. I did try the app that was suggested to use these as an alternative hearing aid but the app needs more work which is ok time will tell. But using these for phone calls, listening to music, pod casts, internet, movies and blue tooth TV has opened up my hearing world again. I don’t need to have the volume turned all the way up and when talking on the phone I hear the whole conversation and I’m not yelling into the phone anymore. These opened up my world and are worth every penny. For those with hearing issues find a store that has them out and give them a try they may work for you. Good luck!
Wow. So comfortable you forget they are on!! They actually stay on when doing my 5 miles run and all my other exercises. I believe the sound is better from the open runs specially on the low deep sounds range. I love that you can hear the outside sounds when I am outdoor running since when I run is in the wilderness and I want to be able to hear any animal might be around!! When I am doing other exercises I usually do them early before work and before the kids get up and they let me hear if something is needed since I have a little one. The multi-connection works amazing changing across the designated devices automatically and it has never failed. I just discovered that if I leave my ipad in the middle of the house I can walk and listen to my music almost in every area in the house so the range is way better that my old open run with I still also love but my wife has claim ownership lol. I got them because as stated my wife was taking my old ones to much so went to website to get new ones and then I saw a new model so decided to give it a try. Now the problem is she is wanting this ones. Lol
Shokz the World!. I’m sorry Apple Air Pods. I gotta stay true and say how it is. I use to own the AP’s. They use to fall out of my ears, collect ear wax, and at times hurt inside my ears from the all day wear. The battery life wasn’t that great either. Now with my new OpenRun PRO 2’s I am much more pleased. These last all day with battery life for me. They go around my ears and no discomfort whatsoever. They even look good on me wearing them versus an ear bud sticking out of my ear. The Shockz App is very helpful. It allows me to adjust the sound like an equalizer. It allows me to connect to 2 different phones. I love the way it automatically connects to whichever phone is in use. That’s pretty cool. The only thing I lost from the AirPods is the ability to hear your message being read back to you or hear the caller ID name that is calling you. But everything else makes the Shokz a better choice. By the way I had the original OPENRUN as well. The 2’s are even better! Trust me people! Get the OPENRUN PRO 2! Thank me later! ✌🏽😎 💯
Awesome. Shokz open fit. I’m on my 3rd set. They are amazing they are so good that the reason I am on my 3rd set is they are so comfortable and light weight that you don’t even know that you are wearing them like literally you completely forget that they are on your ears. That is why one of them went through the washing machine and the second pair I was mowing my lawn and my head rubbing on a branch and then that one was gone. Lol. I love them so much I just keep buying more. I really really love taking phone calls on them. Like I own a business and I’m on the phone literally all day and they are beyond confutable. So I will keep buying them. They are that good. My 4 pair is the open fit air. They are very good for the price. But honestly I think the original open fit are more comfortable so the extra $40-50 bucks are well worth it. I’m not saying they are not good or worth the money. All I’m saying is I really don’t look at price when I buy things and honestly I would have bought the same pair I had the first two times but no one had them in stock and I really don’t like to wait for things to be delivered. All I’m saying is I’m scared to try anything else because there is no way anything could be any better at all.
Shokz OpenFit Pro Earbuds. The Shokz OpenFit Pro earbuds are a great choice for anyone who wants comfort, awareness, and solid everyday audio performance without the isolating feel of traditional in-ear buds. Their open-ear design is the standout feature, letting you enjoy music, podcasts, or calls while still staying aware of your surroundings. That makes them especially useful for workouts, walks, commuting, or long work sessions. Comfort is where these earbuds really shine. They’re lightweight, secure, and easy to wear for extended periods without the ear fatigue that often comes with silicone tips. The fit feels stable enough for movement, and the wraparound design helps them stay in place. Sound quality is surprisingly good for open-ear earbuds. You won’t get the same deep noise isolation or booming bass as sealed in-ear models, but the audio is clear, balanced, and more than good enough for casual listening and calls. Voices come through especially well, making them a strong option for podcasts and phone conversations. Battery life is another plus, making them reliable for all-day use with the charging case. The controls are easy to learn, and overall build quality feels premium. The main tradeoff is that because they’re open-ear, they aren’t ideal if you want maximum immersion or strong noise blocking in loud environments. But that’s also exactly why many people will love them. Overall: The Shokz OpenFit Pro earbuds are comfortable, practical, and well-designed for people who value situational awareness and all-day wearability over total noise isolation. A strong option for active users and everyday listening.
OpenFit. I have had this headphones for around two years. They are by far my favorite headphones other than my over ears. That being said there are a couple of features that could be improved upon. First off: the Touch controls are limited. Would benefit from a three touch option or something of the sort. As of now you can only do four options such as right volume down left volume up for the hold option. You also have A option for right voice assistant/ left voice assistant, and previous right and next left. With the double tap option you can choose right play/pause left play/pause, next right left play/pause, and left play/pause and right voice assistant. I may be a little off on these options but I would like to see some more customizable options instead of presets. Next: there is an option to add your own EQ and I added one with a little bit more bass and have been using it for quite a while and I realized after a certain point when I turned them loud they turned very distorted compared to when I first got them. So possibly changing that to be more limited to the actual headphones. Unless it's just my pair. All said I love these headphones and cannot wait to get my next pair of Shokz OpenFit Air 2+ HYROX Gold cobranded edition once I save up!! Would have been a five star review with a little bit of tweaking on the options that may be just the app as well.
Audio freak. So I have been involved in audio for 30 years. Both the design of audio products and the installation of them. As such I have tons of gear. I have really expensive in-ear and on-ear products, and professional monitoring equipment. That stuff is great but, lots of time I don’t want anything over or in my ears. I liked the situational awareness Shokz products offer and have many of their bone conduction products but, while useful, they weren’t my preference. I was looking for a more involved immersive sound with a larger bandwidth and the ability to take phone calls as well. I had a pair of the original Openfit which I quite liked but wished they had a bit more bandwidth and went a little louder when in higher ambient noise environments. Also, as wearer of glasses, they became a little uncomfortable for me. While at the 2025 CES show I tried out the Openfit2 and was very happy. So happy I went immediately to the store (like right after I left their booth) and grabbed a pair. The bandwidth I was looking for was there and the new design is way more comfortable; I’m not bothered wearing them with glasses anymore. Lastly, I always do test calls to the family and ask how I sound. I’m told that most products I have I sound muffled or “Bluetooth” like. When I called with this one (latest firmware update) they said I sounded clear. I do a lot of conference calls so audio quality is important to me. Bottom line, get these! Well worth the money, totally comfortable, easy controls with the addition of ‘action buttons’. I love them.
Great Over the ear buds. These over the ear buds work and sound great! I like how they provide great sound while allowing me to hear my surroundings. This is great for when I go riding and still need to be aware of my surroundings. I also like how they can link up to 2 pieces of gear simultaneously and can swap between them. I can watch and listen to something on my tablet and get a call on my phone and answer the call, then swap back to my tablet once the call is over. I like that they have a noise reduction option, when I want to focus on what I’m listening to, that lowers the amount of ambient noise I hear. The battery life of my Shokz Openfit Pro buds also currently last for a few hours of consistent use, compared to my previous inear buds that I have, which might last 1.5 hrs before having to recharge them. They are a few years old now so it could be the battery life is decaying on my old ear buds. The controls are easy to use compared to my previous ones. The single tactile button on each bud are easy to find. I just need to practice using them so I can remember the commands to operate them correctly. Needless to say, I really love my Shokz Openfit Pro buds. I find myself using them more often than I had my previous ear buds.
Best headphones ever. I can honestly say Shokz has completely changed the way I experience sound. These aren’t just headphones—they’re a whole new listening experience. The bone conduction technology feels like magic, letting me enjoy crystal-clear audio while still being fully aware of my surroundings. Music, podcasts, phone calls—they all sound amazing, with rich tones and zero ear fatigue. The comfort is unreal. I can wear them for hours without my ears getting sore or sweaty. Whether I’m working out, running errands, or just relaxing, they stay secure and feel so light I forget I’m wearing them. The battery life is fantastic, easily lasting through my busiest days, and the build quality screams durability. I’ve owned plenty of headphones over the years, but nothing has compared to this blend of comfort, safety, and premium sound. If you value audio quality, comfort, and staying connected to your environment, Shokz is the way to go. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time.
It’s about the balance of phone calls, music and comfort. From a headsets collectors.. I owned everything from AirPods Pro 1, 2 & 3 to Bose 700 and QC 35 and QC buds to Sony ANCs to Galaxy buds and Galaxy Pro buds, and of course the Shokz Comm2 and now OpenFit2. The OpenFit2 is the best balanced of them all. Good mics for phone calls (not as amazing as Comm2 boom mic, and perhaps not as smooth as AirPods Pro 3 but close enough and shockingly, less capricious and more consistent), good sound (not as immersive as in-ear buds or over-ear headphones but more than good enough for casual listening on the go, ESPECIALLY when situational awareness is important, like when you’re at work, gym or running errands). Unbeatable long-wear comfort for all day use: nothing comes close and excellent battery life. The open ear design that keeps you in touch with your surroundings while enjoying music, audiobooks or speaking on the phone is a game changer. I’m not going back to anything else for day-to-day casual use.
Surprising comfort. I’ve used the Open Run Pro a while now and they have been so comfortable that I forget I have them on at times. They’ve held up relatively well with only the side button coming off after a few years plus. They’ve held a charge and still holds it. I use foam ear plugs when I need to block out the outside noise while still listening to my audio clearly. Took a little bit to get use to the vibration at a louder volume is the only issue I’ve found which didn’t last long. I’ve been using it the Dots for a week now and I have to say I’m impressed by their simplicity. and ease of putting on. I like the customization to turn off sensors so you can avoid accidentally touching sensors while adjusting or putting them on. The Dolby sound and custom EQ is great as well. I just hope the battery is as good as the Open Run Pro. My next test is to use them with my MAC Mini while on a Zoom Meeting as I’ve already tested them on my iPad with success.
Exceptional. I bought my first pair of open run pros in 2022. The battery life at the time was the major factor. 10 hrs was impressive. They were completely different from the in ear headphones that I was use to. There was no was I was ever going to go back to in ear after these!! No more discomfort, no more awkward buds falling out of my ear and I could sleep in these! I loved them so much I bought a second back up pair for my long hiking trips. Fast forward to 2025 and I have recently purchased the open fit 2. The back band on the open runs is fine it’s a little big but it never bothered me. And I was happy to see they made a mini version for people with normal heads that need something a little smaller! Open fit 2 has 48 hours of play time! And they feel very secure, I can shake my head vigorously with no movement from them. I can take my motorcycle helmet off without disturbing them. In Florida it gets hot, they seem unaffected by sweat and humidity.
Review after using for 3 months. I am 54 yrs old female, and I use strictly for talking on the phone answering and listening. I do not play music, I use these for work, in my office and out in the field. So far the Shocks are the best that I have found for using them with my Apple I-phone 13, that do not connect around the back of my head. I like that they are independent of each other and I don’t have to have them both in my ears, I can use left or the right independently. The connection is pretty good, (could be a tad better, but not complaining) once in a while I might drop a call. I’m not hard of hearing so I can clearly hear the person on the other end. I like that it does not sit directly in ear. The case is convenient, could be a littler smaller for pockets. The only thing that is a negative is I do have an Apple Watch, that has its own line. The Shocks app does not work independently with my Apple Watch so in order for me to use the Shokz I do have to have my phone in radius.
Love my Open Fits. My wife has had two pair of open run and I liked those but they caused me a headache when f wearing at work all day long. (We use wireless coms at work.) But I love the compact size and long battery life of these little but powerful ear buds. I can even wear them on my motorcycle. Sometimes I don’t wear a helmet and they still fell secure up to around 50 mph! I have been up to 70 mph for a few miles but they didn’t feel as secure at that speed. Battery last all day and they become so comfortable that I don’t even realize I’m wearing them until my wife makes fun of me after I get home! I don’t listen to music so can’t speak to bass and what not but Podcast and Audible plays well and voice calls are clear. I can even talk in low tones when needed and still be heard very clear, or so I’m told. The case been good for at least 3-4 full charges before I charged. That’s all I can think to say after having for about 4 months now, super satisfied!
First time Shokz user. I’m currently using the open run pro 2. I’m happy with the product. I’ve worn this in a loud manufacturing environment while working. I have found that it does have limitations a bit on the sound and volume and when I wear ear plugs while using the open run 2, it can tend to hold back the sound a bit, depending on the exact position. And loud environments can be at times a little difficult to hear phone calls, even when the volume is turned all the way up. I’m unsure if this is a sizing related issue as I am using the standard size instead of the mini. However, even though I land just under 9 1/4 inches from ear to ear, I do only have one finger width of space on the headband behind my head. I do wish more dealers would have standard and mini size demos to try on for fit, but there is no one in my area that does. Overall, they fit secure. I just wish they pressed a little bit tighter against the sides of my head. I find a if you gently press the headphone tighter to your face the sound and volume quality increases. This product worked well for me as other earbuds that are designed to fit inside your ear don’t typically stay in place well for me, especially when sweating. I would recommend this product and I can see myself continuing to use Shokz products in the future.
Great product. I finally upgraded my open run Shokz to the open fit 2+ and I can say that upgrade was well worth it. I no longer have the annoying loop bothering me when I lay down to listen to music or watch videos. Sound quality is by far the biggest upgrade. Having Dolby sound for videos and movies is the cherry on top. I find myself switching it off when I play music but definitely it’s a plus for movies. I love that I can toggle between different eq modes on the App. The only downside I can absolutely say about the open fit 2 is the inability to see the charging status on the app when you are charging them in the case. When I open the app it searches for the Bluetooth pairing of the open Shokz. It would be a plus to see how much they are charging on the app. It’s not a deal breaker for me because they charge so quickly. I love my open fit 2+ Shokz.
Best earbuds I’ve owned. I had tried these on a few times over the last year and was on the fence about buying them. I had AirPod pros that did not fit well in n my ears and had to buy additional adapters just to get them to fit. One night while on a run in a rather dark part of town, someone ran up behind and past me. It startled me and I had no idea anyone was behind me. As an older woman, that was my sign to buy the open ear headphones. These did not disappoint. Even on an airplane, the sound was audible though not the best obviously. That being said, these are amazing everywhere else. I love them for road runner, they sync with my peloton bike and the sound quality is awesome on phone calls as well. They are so light weight that I forget I am wearing them. The case holds a charge forever (well about 2 weeks) and they charge really fast and don’t deplete too quickly. I can listen for 3 hours and both buds were at 70%. My only regret is that I waited too long to purchase them and really wish I had gotten them sooner.
Finally wireless earbuds that stay on and sound great. Thanks to my small ears and head never could wear earbuds that stayed in, and always had to buy add on ear hooks that never really fit well or were comfortable enough to wear for more that 20 minutes. I had given up and bought a pair of Shockz Openrun Mini - which I loved, but when I lost them and went to buy a new pair I saw the Openfit with ear hooks and decided to give them a try. They stay on, sound fantastic, and best part is that I forget I have them on! i love that I can pair them with both my phone and iPad, and the app helps adjust sound/volume etc to my liking without which has made using them so easy. And bonus that they are comfortable enough to wear in bed, and through the app can adjust the pause button to be in the ear not touching the pillow. If I could change anything it would be great if the case had wireless charging, a mini size (they stay on fine, but a little smaller would be even better) more colors and a ring in the case to hand them on a hook on my bag or at home - but I found a case that has that feature. Big fan!
OpenRun Pro 2 works great, but…. I hesitated to buy these Shokz headphones simply because I prefer to stick with Apple products as they work seamlessly together. The bone induction is awesome. They work great and nothing is stuck inside your ear. Much easier to put in place and keep them there. There’s no chance of them falling out of your ear. That’s the problem. I sometimes have with the AirPods. Sound quality is excellent, but I use them mostly for talking on the phone. I haven’t thoroughly compared them to my AirPod Pro 2 for music yet. The downside is that I have to manually reconnect through Bluetooth when I turn them on every morning. It’s a bit annoying that they do not pick up automatically. I have also noticed that when I placed a call, they connect automatically; however, when a call comes in, I have to tap the icon to transfer to the headphones instead of the normal phone function. I also miss the functions that AirPods have with connecting to Siri, especially when she asks if I want to answer an incoming call. With AirPods, you can simply answer yes or no, or shake/nod your head – that doesn’t exist with the Shokz. It’s a trade-off. Battery life bast all day or more.
First thoughts to an honest review. I’ve had these headphones for half a year now, I think I can give a pretty good review after have used them on a daily basis during this time. They are very comfortable. Sometimes I forget I have them on, depending on the size that you have, sound quality I would give a 8 out of 10, just comparing high-quality headphones for the same price. But where they really shine, are in the practicality uses, sometimes I’m working with coworkers, clearly listen to their conversations or instructions. Or with a simple press of a button I can pause whatever I’m listening to, And start right where I left off with the same press of a button. Something that can be a bit annoying, Is the surrounding noise can sometimes drown out what I am listening to, for example: If I’m running near construction site, and a lot of noise is going on. That will impale me to clearly distinguish the podcast or music that I’m listening to, even if I have the volume on max, and the headphones are on my head, and the outside noise can be from 25 feet away. Though I have found that if I really want to hear something and still be safe while running through the streets near high traffic, I would put an ear plug in one ear and have the other ear open, so that I can still be aware of the things that are going around, and somehow still distinguished what I am listening to through the bone, conductivity of the headphones. Like I said, kind of annoying, But I really value their comfort level, and practicality.
Great app paired with amazing headphones. Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones are a runner's dream, offering an unparalleled blend of safety, comfort, and audio quality. Their bone conduction technology keeps your ear canals open, allowing you to stay fully aware of your surroundings, whether it's traffic, other runners, or nature sounds, which is crucial for outdoor exercise. Despite this open-ear design, the sound quality is impressive, with richer bass and clearer audio thanks to their DualPitch™ technology. What truly elevates the experience is the intuitive Shokz app, which provides robust control over your listening. You can easily switch between various preset EQ modes like "Vocal," "Bass Boost," or "Volume Boost" to optimize for podcasts, music, or noisy environments, or dive deeper by creating and saving your own custom EQ settings to perfectly tailor the sound to your preferences. This combination of innovative hardware and user-friendly software makes the OpenRun Pro 2 an exceptional choice for any runner.
Perfect for me - Shokz OpenDots One. The good -Sound is fantastic, 30% and below of office and can talk to people and listen to them well, -50-60% for yard work, mowing lawn and weed whacking -The preset EQs are pretty neat and the addition of Dolby Audio kinda helped me decide to get these. -The feel of the headphones and the case is pretty nice in my opinion, the headphones magnetically attach to the case pretty well for charging. -The fit of the earbuds(?) is pretty good, I have uniquely shaped ear canals so it’s refreshing not having to adjust and make sure my ear buds don’t fall out. -Bass is better than I thought they would be, and to be honest it’s not giving more to be desired for me and my use case, if you need more bass but want the same concept I would suggest the bone conducting versions but that’s just me, I’m not really a sound connoisseur. You already listened to someone talk about it probably… The Uggs: -Does the thing my car does where it forgets if regular sound or call quality sound, I fixed it by throwing the headphones in the case and taking them out, which seems to fix a lot of issues like the one time one headphone wasn’t playing any sound. -The find my headphones works only if either the case is open or if the headphones are outside the case. -Which when it falls in these events it works great and I could find the headphones but not the case and if the headphones are inside the case and they are lost then you’re SOL. As someone who loses things all the time then I would have to take the L.
The best all around buds.. I have tried several different brands looking for comfort, sound quality and the ability to hear my surroundings and everything, until now, has come up short. These sound great, even though they don’t seal the ear cavity they still sound amazing. Bass is ample and the definition is great. I have no issues pausing whatever I’m listening to and not having to remove the ear bud to hear properly or go around with one ear perpetually plugged so I can hear out of the other. I wear both all day. The comfort is second to none. I have a pair of Shokz Open runs that I gave to my wife because of the pressure they put on the side of my ears and head gave me headaches. I have none of these issues with these Dots. Lastly, they are super secure. Short of something rubbing against my ears and ripping them off, they aren’t going anywhere! Finally, something worth the price I paid for them. If the quality and batteries last two years, I’ll gladly buy another set, I like them that much.
Betraying your base!!. People who are blind played a significant role in making your products so profitable, and your company has desserted us! Your app is atrocious from an accessibility perspective. Lots of nonsensical verbiage, and buttons that don’t respond to Voiceover! Even though the headset was working fine, and was paired with the bluetooth on my phone, your app kept wanting me to pair! I repeatedly tapped the “pair” button, with no result. After giving up for a few days, I tried again, and spent more time pushing the button. Finally, it went into the next screen, but quickly reverted back to the “pairing” screen. Finally, I was able to bring up the next screenn, again, to find the list of countries. Each one is separated by some jibberish, that should not be visible to voiceover users, or anyone else, for that matter. After choosing the U.S.A. There is nothing to indicate that it has been selected. I finally found the “ok” button at the bottom right of the screen. After that, I tried to set up a new account and the “next step” button does nothing after I enter my email. I have owned your company’s (or at least the old company) various iterations of headsets starting with the wired model. I was glad to see that these new ones had an app, but very disappointed with its implementation. It is typical of apps written in China, where they don’t seem to understand the concept of accessibility, and do not know correct English! And now, the phone number I have for your former company does not work! Please get your act together! You are no longer the only fish in the world pond!
Favorite headphones. I Love these headphones! I started running consistently 2-8 mile sessions at least 4 times a week for a while now. I’ve put off buying these headphones because of the price and to make sure I stayed running. So I’ve used the headphones I had on hand the in ear beats and the Beats Solo and apple wired headphones. I went to splurge and bought the Suunto (Shokz competitor) and they looked great and had bright neon lights for visibility at the same price point but the volume for me was too low and I also thought they didn’t fit my head right maybe too big for me. The Shokz offer the “mini” which just has a slightly smaller head radius AND THEY ARE GREAT. Plenty loud volume where I don’t even have to have it all the way up and everyone I let listen to them are believers after listening. Very comfortable and I almost forget I have them on sometimes. Worth every penny. Also I found out about them because of Andy Glaze.
Finally, a device I can live with!. I spend most of every day in front of a computer, on Teams or phone calls. In-ear devices never stay in my ears, and hurt after a while. I’ve tried various over-ear headphones, and even the best begin to hurt after a few hours of use. My Shokz headset is so unobtrusive that I often forget that I have them on my head. I seldom listen to music, but when I do, I find them fully adequate. If I really want to hear better fidelity, I’ll don a pair of headphones or put some power into more serious speakers. But for business use and phone conversations without blocking external sounds, I find Shokz to be perfect! I can make it through a full working day on one charge, but the fast charge option is so good, that it’s not a big deal, if I do need to recharge them. I bought a pair for my 30-something daughter who has hearing loss in one ear, and they work fantastic for her! I’m going to buy a third pair so that my wife can enjoy them while on her peloton.
My Open Dots Have Changed My Life For The Better. Imagine that you lose 75% of your hearing overnight. You can’t watch movies with your loved ones because you can’t hear. You can’t interact with anyone without saying “What?” or “Huh?”. That’s my life since August. Your Open Dots have helped me greatly since I lost most of my hearing. I can still be connected with the world because I can hear better. I can still hear the news, watch movies and hear my music. Unless you have lost one of your senses you can not know how isolating it can be. People assume you’re stupid if you can’t hear what they are saying. I know your company can’t fix my hearing problems, but what the Open Dots did was helped me take control and snatch back a little bit of my power back in my lousy situation. That is EVERYTHING. Your product had given me a little bit of power to fight against my situation. That is so huge in a persons life. Thank you Shokz.
Phenomenal. Phenomenal! I am active and my AirPod’s have almost been lost many times. Luckily they drop into my kayak and not the lakes or rivers. These Shokz Open Run Pro 2 headphones are so comfortable and so secure. The quality of the sound is great and I can still hear everything that is going on around me. They are so secure fitting and so comfortable that I often forget that they are on until a call comes in. The charging and battery life is insanely long. I can use them the entire day from 5:00 AM to 11:00PM and I will often still have over 70% charge left. If I am listening to music or audio books I am still over 50 %. The headphones did stop turning on after 8 months. I called Shokz customer service and they too were phenomenal! They actually listened and sought to understand my concerns. They sent it to warranty and they approved a new headphone to be sent in less than a day. My youngest son turned me on to these. He had an earlier model and abuses his because of the kind of work he does and has had them for over almost 2 years with no technical issues. He does not have the length of charge I have though. I wholeheartedly would recommend these to anyone who is active and understands how AirPods drop.
Resident Surgeon Use Case. I use the open run pro and the pro 2 about 14 hours a day minimum. When I’m on call it could be 30 hours straight. When I’m napping on call I’ll use the mini band version which allows for my head to rest comfortably on a pillow while still being able to take calls just by pressing a button and not have to worry about the headphones falling off in my sleep. When I’m doing a procedure these are critical for phone conversations since there’s zero chance of them falling off into the patient. I can take a call doing anything at anytime because I literally never take them off. If I’m scrubbed in I can hit the button with my shoulder. They don’t obstruct normal conversations in person. This is all possible because the fit is perfect. 100% comfort. They really have become a normal part of my head when I’m at the hospital. When I’m not at the hospital I use them around the house or in the car. During travel on airplanes using foam earplugs enhances the audio quality while providing all the sound dampening effects of whatever foam plugs I choose. These headphones have become a necessary component of my residency workflow. I’ve convinced the entire anesthesia department to get them and now they never take them off either. More and more surgeons are using them all the time. Can’t say enough good things about these headphones. Battery life is also excellent.
AirPods Be Gone!. I’ve tried the AirPod pros, the regular ones as well. I’ve always had issues with them fall in out of my ears, aching, or busted speakers. I finally decided to try open air earbuds and I’ll never go back. I haven’t tried the Bose brand, but reviews had issues with the microphone during calls and with my Shokz I’ve had NO issues- frequently asking my caller if they can hear me okay, even outside in the wind. Battery life is fantastic. The flexible clip doesn’t hurt my ears and can be rotated around my ear wherever comfortable. I never liked noise cancelling because I do like to hear my surroundings. I also love that the buds are interchangeable between ears and I can actually turn the volume up and down with press and hold. The only issue I’ve had is utilizing the “tap” to play/pause but recently increased the sensitivity and also discovered that it’s “2 taps” cause I’m an idiot. “3 taps” to skip. If my volume is really loud, it can be heard by others, but normally I’m not blasting my music anyways. My favorite earbuds to date.
Extremely Disappointed. I have used the bone conducting products from AfterShokz most of their 12 years in existence. They used to be proud to be a U.S. company and their products and service reflected that U.S. pride and ingenuity. Then something happened. AfterShokz announced their name change and moved out of the United States to Texas, the land of constant power outages and oppression of women and immigrants by the authoritarian autocrat book-burner Greg Abbot. It seems this move out of the US to Texas was a cover for their real transfer of power. They have followed Trump to China and Russia, his favorite countries (besides his Rocket Man’s North Korea.) Sad! Shokz is now located in Shenzhen, China and Hong Kong. Now we see why they have lost so much of their innovation and responsiveness to customers. And why they have been unable to make the app work properly for everyone and across all of their headphone and headset products. I had so hoped they would have connected their product to Apple Live Listen by now - a service I am needing more often as I age. But they have obviously not listening to the needs of their loyal customers for a while. Sad.
Pro Airpod 2 to pro Shokz 2. If you are someone who has to study a lot, these are great headphones to listen to lectures. If you’re like me and airpod pros cause ear canal fatigue after long hours of use (or you’re tired of constantly repositioning them), the Shokz headphones are a good change of pace. I can’t say I forget they’re on my head (yet, since I just got them and I’m not used to the new pressures above and in front of my ears), but they are comfortable for prolonged periods of time. As far as the sound quality goes, 9/10. I’m really blown away by how good these sound without an (probably equivalent if not better than airpod pro 1, but not quite as good as airpod pro 2). Cost wise, I think you get your monies worth for $200- they sound great and they feel durable (the reason I bought the Shokz was one of my AirPods (pro 2) I had for right under 4 months just developed an issue and I refuse to spend money to fix a quality control issue)
It works and connects easily. The app is fine. I would, however, like to see more features on the headset itself. I like other wireless headsets that gives you the option of telling you who calls. I have noticed that it’s more than 30 feet being able to stay connected. I do use hearing protector, earmuffs, and I have been VERY pleased with the ability to hear the headset over the mower that I use. I have actually had to turn the volume down on the headset instead of having it up full blast and still not being able to hear the music that’s playing over the headset. The first time I used the headset, I did not have on the accident dental call answering part. as I was sweating, it kept turning the volume up or down. So I turned it on and it stopped that. if you’re sweating and you have over the ear hearing protectors on, make sure you turn that feature on. The app does give you options to be able to control what you do when you tap the headphones. I have mine set to double tap either ear to answer or play/pause. They have stayed on my ears much better than any other headset that I’ve had. They do not fall off easily. Again, I would like to see the developers come up with more options for the headset. Like being able to announce who’s calling.
Why Shokz Became My Preferred Headphones for Training. I’ve been using the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Mini, and honestly, they’ve exceeded my expectations. The fit is incredibly comfortable and secure, even during intense gym sessions or outdoor workouts — no slipping, no constant adjustments. What really stands out is how reliable they are; the connection is stable, battery life is strong, and they just work every time I put them on. I’m also a regular user of Apple AirPods, which I still prefer for calls and everyday use. But when it comes to the gym or outdoor activities, the Shokz are on another level. The open-ear design keeps me aware of my surroundings, which I really value, and the comfort over longer sessions is hard to beat. For anyone active, especially in the gym or outdoors, these have become my go-to. Practical, dependable, and designed for movement — exactly what I was looking for. 💪🎧
Open road pro is a nice headset. These are a nice set of headphones for the office. I like how I can connect to my work PC and work cell phone at the same time. The open ear allows me to have conversations with other people without removing the headset. They are very comfortable to wear all day and have great battery life. I think the audio quality is good at this price point. I would like to have a bit smaller loop around the back of my neck. It will sometimes get caught up in a hoodie or jacket collar. The only real issues I have, it will not automatically reconnect to my PC or phone. Several times a day I need to leave my desk and when I’m back in range of the Bluetooth they won’t automatically reconnect. Most of the time I can reconnect to my PC through the app but, when I forget my phone at my desk it won’t reconnect at all. The app won’t recognize them and the only way to get it to reconnect is to power cycle the headphones. Overall, they are a good headset that are very comfortable, good sound, and long battery life. I would and have recommend these to friends and family.
Best Headphones I’ve Used in Years. I’ve always struggled to find headphones that worked well for me. I’ve been an Apple fan for years but can’t stand earbuds because I’m always afraid they’ll fall out of my ears. Plus they’re in my ears which are irritating after a while. Also over ear headphones aren’t great either as they also irritate around your ears use prolonged use. I’d even tried sports headphones that were connected to each other and went around the back of the head but they didn’t work with prolonged due either because there is still something IN YOUR EAR and created irritation with prolonged use. Then I came across Shokz and I decided to take the plunge and buy a pair. Best tech decision I’ve made it years! I wear them all the time, can hear anything from my phone and from my surroundings. And I was surprised by the MultiPoint pairing feature in the app which allows your headphones to connect to two devices at once which is great when switching from computer work to phone work. These headphones have solved the problems I had with headphones and my friends comment on them and we frequently get to talking about them. I have them try them out and watch their faces light up when they do. It’s so fun. Great product. Great app.
Shocks. This has been an amazing pair of ear buds I have had. I love the way they fit on and slightly in my ear, as I have tiny ears which do not have many choices that will not fall out. I love the selection of the settings for your button actions of choice. I think the bass option for sound quality and the ability to change and customize the EQ is amazing! The most important thing that caught my eye was the fact, I don’t have to fumble with the ear buds and charging case to charge and store them away, I can easily put them in either side as they are a universal for and doesn’t have to be left or right. I recommend these shocks to every one, especially whose who need to hear the sounds around them, it makes it very easy to hear both music and outside talking, there is a lot of features and an app that can help ease the guided sounds and you can see what your doing. The battery life per ear buds, and the charging case. I use them even when I have my work earpiece on that wraps around my ear and sits on it, it has worked out extremely well for that use. I would love to demonstrate and explain the feature to others as I am certain I have one of the best products that have multiple features out there without having to irritate the ear drums.
Best headphones I’ve owned. I work in construction and have went through MANY pairs of noise cancelling and other Bluetooth headphones. These open ear style headphones are great for any environment. In a facility that doesn’t allow headphones because of the distraction potential, these are permitted. In extremely loud environments, just wear earplugs as you otherwise would and the clarity on music and even phone calls in loud environments is unbelievable. The 2.0s have definitely made improvements to the noise isolation (based on a coworkers review of the original version) - I never get complaints of nearby noises on phone calls. I have a few coworkers who all have AirPods or Beats and these outperform those in loud environments. I can’t recommend these enough. My only suggestion to Shokz would be to list the exact head/neck measurements for the regular and mini sizes. After wearing these for the past month, I think the minis may have been the better fit for me, but I can’t be sure as I haven’t seen any specific measurements listed online.
First time wearer. This is the first time I’ve been able to wear any type of earpieces, my ears are very sensitive and I’ve been unable to find something that was comfortable. These are wonderful. They’re comfortable still learning how to do the taps but overall these are really great. I have them double paired to my phone and my computer at work and it now allows me to have a range, being up and moving around within my office without having to have a receiver up against my shoulder and with the phone it makes it really nice. With my cellphone I’m not having to pull my phone out of my pocket when I’m on property and holding that up to my ear, I am very pleased with these. I got them on a recommendation from my son who had has them. He doesn’t have the air. He has the kind with a strap around the back, he’s been using them for quite awhile. He bought me one but the strap kept getting caught in my hair or my collar. As an old lady - he is dragging me into the modern era. Don’t see too many people my age wearing any kind in/at their ears but I really like them. Thanks for coming up with these.
Great for work, leisure, and sport. I bought these headphones originally to listen to music while swimming. These appeared to be the only reliable brand on the market that can play music while submerged underwater (safely), and I can definitely say my experience with them has been better than I’d hoped for. The sound quality is great, even while underwater. The fit is super comfortable, I never get headaches or feel discomfort like I used to with traditional, inner-ear style headphones. I occasionally use loud power tools at my job, and I like that I can wear them WITH my inner-ear and outer hearing protection, while still being perfectly able to hear my music or podcasts or books. AND I don’t have to take off my gloves to pause or play what I’m listening, because the buttons are easily pressed from the outside with a small amount of pressure. I’ve already recommended them to a few coworkers who are now also fans! I also love that because they don’t go IN your ear, I can wear them to the grocery store and not feel paranoid about not being able to hear my surroundings. All in all, amazing product. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to traditional headphones.
Basic but necessary. If you have the Open Pro version of boneless headphones I recommend downloading this app. I don’t think it is absolutely necessary to have the app to change certain settings on your openrun pros but it does make it easier and allows you to look at the settings and know which ones are selected without having to go through your openrun pro buttons changing things just so you can hear which setting is selected. The one thing it is absolutely necessary for that you can not do on your openrun pros is find out exactly how much battery you have left. The ORpros will tell you High,Medium, or Low when it turns on which indicates how much battery charge is remaining. Yet, the app will give you a % of battery left. Try it out you can always delete it if you do not like the app. Oh, make sure you register the ORpros on the app so you will have a record of your serial number and be covered under warranty. Have a great day and I hope you enjoy your Openrun pros as much as my fiancé and I enjoy ours. Did you know that they make the openrun pros in a mini size?? I have a big head and the minis fit nicely on my head. I almost bought them but since I wear a hard hat daily (which has a strap pressed against the back of my head) I purchased the regular size. Need to do a test fit if possible though because you might really like the minis. I know my fiancés pea head sure appreciates the fact that I bought her the minis.
A pleasant surprise. I first got the open run because it’s on sale at Costco so thought I would try them out and I have to say I was amazed. Not so much of the sound quality, even though it was much better than I thought it would be, but just how effective they were at transmitting sound. So impressed with I that I’ve already upgraded to the open run pro 2 and the sound is even better. But I still like the regular open run because when there’s a loud sound around me and I put my fingers in my ears when I’m listening to actually gets louder. I can still hear the music with the pro too, but half of that sound comes from actual speakers so I’m only getting what comes through the bone conducting whereas the open run is all bone conducting. I can use them while operating machinery like lawnmower and woodworking when I need earplugs. But the thing I like most is that the music sounds like it’s inside my head rather than coming through my ears, it feels more immersive. And I really appreciate the fact that they don’t block out outside noise , I can still hear when somebody’s calling my name and don’t have to take them out of my ears to hear somebody talking.
Open air. I want to start out saying I really do love this product. They are light weight and most of the time I even forget I have them on. I use to have the bone conduction ones and they finally wore out after almost continually wearing for a year and a half. I like your products because I can hear my surroundings easier while wearing. I still want to buy another set of the bone conduction ones again because I liked them so much. Now the open airs are great but my one and only critique and why I didn’t give it 5 stars. I wish there was a little more options for personalization in the settings. Right now they have it so you customize tap twice for play/pause, skipping songs, etc. A little more customization would be amazing, as in tap once left/right for (options), tap twice left/right for (options), hold left/right for (options). I always brag about your products to people, but this would make it even better.
Best Earphones I’ve Ever Owned – Shokz OpenFit 2 Outshines the Competition!. I’ve owned earphones from Beats by Dre, Apple, and Bose, but the Shokz OpenFit 2 completely redefines what premium wireless audio should be. These earphones deliver unmatched comfort, sound quality, and situational awareness, making them the best choice for workouts, daily use, and long listening sessions. Unlike Beats, which can feel bulky and bass-heavy, the OpenFit 2 offers crystal-clear audio with a well-balanced soundstage that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. Compared to Apple’s AirPods, Shokz provides a far more secure and comfortable fit, perfect for active users who don’t want to worry about their earphones falling out. And while Bose is known for noise cancellation, the OpenFit 2’s open-ear design allows you to stay aware of your surroundings while still enjoying immersive, high-quality audio. Battery life is another game-changer. I get hours of use without constantly reaching for a charger, and the lightweight design makes them almost disappear on my ears. Whether I’m working out, commuting, or taking calls, these earphones outperform every other brand I’ve tried. If you’re looking for the best blend of comfort, sound, and versatility, the Shokz OpenFit 2 is worth every penny! ***My only suggestion for improvement, would be to have each earphone be individually able to do actions such as raise and lower volume.
Lack of file visibility is rough. I will say that the headphones are a game changer for swimming. Listening to an audiobook makes the laps go by so easily. Where this app runs into trouble is that it’s impossible to view what’s currently playing. Or to queue up a specific track from the app. Listening to an audiobook on both these headphones in mp3 mode and your phone? Good luck switching between the two! Either you have lots of short tracks and you’ll have to guess to find which one you’re on or you have one large track and you’ll be approximating the location based on your workout duration. But that only works once because if you go back to the headphones, you’ll have to just let the audiobook run until you find your place. If you’re 5 hours into a 12 hour book, that means setting your audio file to play roughly 5 hours before your lap swim. Want to finish the book? Start 11 hours beforehand. This limitation makes $200 headphones almost useless. For me, I’m struggling with whether or not to return them or fight rage at bad design every time I use them.
Great Product & App. I really enjoy this product & support app. I like the various preset EQ features, which go with about anything. I especially like that “classic” uses bone conduction only. Shokz makes is very easy to create your own personalized EQ settings if one of theirs isn’t to your liking. You can create more than one (I’m not sure how many) and name them each whatever works for you. Personally, I am happy with the volume; often times I’m listening to audiobooks with my driver’s side window down & can still hear the low range intonation of the voices (which is harder for me to hear than music, esp when voices soften). I’ve had great responses from Shokz customer service from questions & settings I was confused about when I was a new user. I’m very happy with Shokz brand (open ear headphones & app), and am a happy user for life as long as they continue to provide quality products & services. I’m never going back to earbuds again. I even purchased 2 new sets of smart earbuds (one I haven’t opened), and I haven’t used them in a long time (the one set has 20 hrs usage on it). I’m not missing conversations with my spouse (relationship improvement), buds aren’t falling out of my ears, and I’m no longer experiencing ear skin irritation & infections from constantly using earbuds (no longer exposed to harmful chemicals in the plastics & silicones earbuds use). THANK YOU SHOKZ!
Open Air 2. I’ve tried plenty of gadgets over the years, and the Shokz OpenFit 2 earbuds have quickly climbed to the top of my favorites list. These little wonders sit just outside your ears, delivering crisp, lively sound—think deep bass and clear highs—while letting you stay tuned in to the world around you. Whether I’m out for a walk or keeping an ear on the house, they strike a perfect balance, and the 11-hour battery life means they’re ready for whatever the day brings. For someone who values freedom to move and connect, these feel like a breath of fresh air. What really wins me over is how comfortable they are—light as a feather at just over 9 grams each, with soft silicone hooks that hug your ears without a fuss. They’ve got a handy button for skipping tracks or tweaking volume, which is a nice touch when my hands are full, and the sound’s so rich it’s hard to believe they’re not tucked inside your ears. Pair that with a sleek case that bumps the total playtime to 48 hours, and it’s clear Shokz put heart into making these practical for folks like me who juggle family and a busy life. By the end, Shokz OpenFit 2 feels like a trusty companion—great for enjoying music or a podcast without losing touch with what’s around you. The sound’s a step up from the first version, and while they’re not cheap at $179, they’re worth it for how they blend into your day. It’s the kind of thing I’d recommend to anyone who loves a good tune but still wants to hear the kids or the birds outside—a simple, honest tool that lifts your spirit and keeps you grounded. I’m already looking forward to my next stroll with them!
Just buy them. You won’t regret it.. I have the Shokz Open Run Pro 2 and they are awesome! The app makes switching between 3 devices at work simple. Call clarity is great and I’ve never had a complaint from the receiving end. I switched from the original Aeropex and the comfort level of the pro 2 is incredible by comparison! I have high hopes for these as my original aeropex and aeropex mini that I’ve had for over 5 years each still work great! I only switched so I could use the app for control over what devices I’m connected to at any given time. The ONLY critique I would have is, I they always connected to the device with the app on it first. Sometimes it will connect to my work phone and laptop instead of my personal phone which has the app on it. Then I have to manually connect again. But that’s very minor and hardly worth mentioning. The battery life is also incredible! I wear them for 9 hours a day at work with music playing or on phone calls all day and never worry about the battery. Then I plug them in on my drive home and they are fully charged during my 50 minute commute! I really can’t say enough about the Open Run Pro 2!
A great effort and possible all out solution. It comes so close to being a great solution / I was looking for hands free, superior audio quality and ease of use. The tethered Shokz did not work for me as the band in the back of the neck is not really adjustable or pliable enough to allow the headphone speakers to sit on the ear correctly. This was somewhat alleviated by getting the Air model, but again, you have to press the headphones into your ear further than they naturally sit in order to get the full spectrum of sound. The idea behind bone induction headphones is purely brilliant - the caveat is being able to enjoy full spectrum sound while keeping your hands busy doing something else. If the ear hooks were made of a similar rigid polymer that could be repositioned and it would stay in that position instead of returning to baseline, these would be perfect. I would suggest embedding a knuckle in between the ear hooks, basically giving them a bit of articulation that can be manipulated but limited of course so nothing breaks.
Almost. Pros: Sounds is way better than conductive types especially when driving etc where there background noise. Based on people I’m on the phone with, they indicate the background noise cancellation is impressive and they can hear me clearly even when I’m standing near loud music or loud machinery. Bass is impressive for open air concept. Nice to have the EQ to adjust for listening style/type. Stays on the ear securely. I can do all my ninja rolls without losing the earpiece. Can still hear my situational surroundings which is huge plus over traditional in-ear earphones. Cons: Was not comfortable with my eyeglasses ( Yours may differ). Battery talk time can be better. Not sure if the app battery indicator is inaccurate or the battery is poor because my talk time was only about 50% of expected. Although open-air concept it covers just enough of the ear canal that I still get a little moisture buildup which is a bit annoying. They should also come up with a one-piece design connected with the cross-support across the back of your head for those not not needing separate one-piece functionality because it’s inconvenient having to juggle the individual pieces (I miss my conductive type that’s all one unit).

Shokz Open Run pro2. I’ve used these for a few months now and can confirm I’m very happy with my purchase. They are everything I had hoped they would be and more. I use them for running, walking and riding my bike. It’s great sound quality and allows you to still be aware of the occasional vehicles or other people approaching. I highly recommend. I’m also very impressed with the battery life having not needed to charge them for several hours of activity.
Great headphones- let down by poor app playback controls. When using the app to setup/control the local play back on the open swim pro, it’s missing the ability to see/control playback in an audio file, making it difficult to listen to audiobooks/ podcasts. Would be awesome if this could be added in. You have to listen to entire episodes/ chapters if your place is lost hard to find again.
Aerobic experience transformed. I wanted to improve my cardio capacity in running and pool swimming. I replaced my generic headset for OpenRun Pro 2 for runs, and got OpenSwim Pro for the pool. The sound clarity allows immersive experience that takes the focus away from strain and allows to build capacity by following the music. Open ear configuration allows for ambient awareness. Open Run 2 sound drivers are unlike any in the market, with sound similar to over-ear premium products. And Open Swim adds a whole new meditative dimension in water that lets laps flow.
Open run pro. Well thought it’s about time I give my view on these bone condition headphones WOW from other people borrowing em to me being rough with my gear I’m up to my 4th pair. battery life is well decent, music and a lot of calls hangs in there just fine comfort well let’s say I’ve washed one pair twice forgot they on and jumped in shower clarity is good it is different hearing the outside world while you have music and phone calls and if you want a better experience put ear plugs in. That’s easy my job has me do that still have music YAY multi pair works just fine have two connected All in all I love em mine I call skull candi
Lara’s Shokz - 2. Sensational! I wish I could sell them & get commission. Every person I’ve bought them for or has bought due to my recommendation loves them. The clarity of sound & conveniences being genuinely hands-free are a constant delight. Love Shokz 💞 Only reason I bought 2nd pair is black flaps on airport security scanner knocked them off into machine & I wasn’t prepared to wait a week & pay $85- for their return so, I bought New Pro 2 & loves these more 💞💃 Lara
Amazing Product and Functional App!. The Shokz app was very easy to navigate, its design is straight forward and easy to use with everything I need to be able to see right there for me to use. This pairs up nicely with the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 product which has been such a comfortable innovative change to the way I listen to music and videos on my portable devices.
So so good. Have grown to love my Shokz so much !!!! I rarely take them off now when they’re charged up!.. and.. they last all day on a charge no worries. Probably the only headphone I’ve known, where u do not tire from them being on.. u barely know they’re there. It’s just so so good.. having background music whenever I want, while still being able to hear ppl speak to me when I need… and, they stay in place while running or exercising, and.. with a slight upward push on the rear band at night time.. I can fall asleep listening to them with my head on my pillow!!.. these things are crazy.. and the sound quality is so impressive too.. when I wear these out…. I’ll be straight in2 new ones!! Love em!!!
Shokz. I’m a mechanic and I’ve had a set of the original OpenRun for years and they’ve been absolutely excellent. They’re the only headset I can use and customs can actually hear me while I continue working. I have recently purchased a set of OpenFit so I can use one at a time and be without the hoop around the back of my head as it is sometimes inconvenient. I have downloaded the app this time around and it’s great to have a few different preset options for the controls although it would be nice to be able to have a bit more flexibility or custom option. The app seems easy to use and reliable other than that.
Opendots One, easily the best available in Australia!. I love open earbuds. I’ve never had major issues with in-ear buds and they fit me well, but after extended use I do get some discomfort. That’s why I’ve always liked the idea of open earbuds — comfort without compromise. Honestly, I never believed open earbuds could sound as good as traditional in-ears. My wife has the Bose Ultra Open. They’re incredibly comfortable and the sound is good, but for me they lack that real bass punch and don’t quite go loud enough when you want to really feel the music. Then the Opendots One came along. These things absolutely smash the door down and say, “I’m here.” The sound is crisp, rich and full of depth, with proper bass presence — not muddy, just powerful. Turn them up full blast and it’s immersive, yet the person sitting next to you hears nothing. That balance is seriously impressive. I’m not usually one for writing reviews, but these are rarely off my ears unless I’m in bed. Solid 5 stars from me. And yes — for my ears — better than the Bose Ultra Open. Can’t wait to see where they go next, because these will be tough to top.
The best headphones ever!. I’ve been using Shokz bone conduction headphones for many years, and find them the most comfortable and easy to use. I’ve tried ear buds, and noise-cancelling headphones, but these are the lightest, most comfortable and secure of them all. I had my previous OpenRun head set for 6 years, and have just upgraded to OpenRun Pro 2. I like that I can change settings in the app, in order to get the best out of either music, or audiobooks. I’ve recommended these to friends, and my husband is now using my old ones. I highly recommend these to anyone. They’re not just for exercising, but also for those who wear hearing aids, or need to wear ear plugs in noisy work environments, or suffer with sensitive ear canals.
Open run pro 2. Product Idea: Slim Charging Case for Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Problem: Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones come with a bulky passive case and a separate charging cable. Users must carry both, which is inconvenient for sport, work, and travel. Solution: A slim protective carry case with an integrated short USB-C charging cable inside the case. How it works: - Headphones sit in a shaped protective cradle - Internal flexible USB-C pigtail plugs directly into the headset - Case has an external USB-C input - User plugs the case into power to charge the headset without removing it Key Benefits: - No loose charging cable to carry - Slim and pocketable - Uses the headset’s existing charging port (low technical risk) - No internal battery required (optional future version) Target Market: - Shokz OpenRun / OpenRun Pro users - Runners, tradies, FIFO workers, gym users, travellers Credit: Idea courtesy of a good bloke named Big C 👍
Comfortable - secure - sound quality. These are the words I would think about regarding my Shokz headphones. Firstly - they never fall out or off so much so that I have been surprised when I have turned off my music or audio book to find a long time later that I am still wearing them. Of course they don’t do noise cancelling but the volume settings are such that these are my go to for walking - allowing important ambient sounds to filter through. And ….. I am very fussy about listening to high end classical music. I am very much NOT disappointed - they are wonderful. And, lastly, if you happen to have itchy dry ear canals and have an irresistible urge to dig a finger into your ear - these headphones will continue to provide wonderful audio on your temples while you deal with irritating ears.
Nice fit, great for what I want them for. These headphones fit beautifully and I regularly forget I gave them in. I use them in an environment where I need to be able to gear ambient noise as well and they are great for that. I love the customizable equalizer on the app too. They’re great for home use to listen to audio books as well. The negatives for me are there not quite loud enough for me and how I like to listen to my music, and the bass can be a bit doughy if you’re working out while using them on and they get sweaty. Very minor issues for me and all in all I’m really happy with them.
Open Fit 2 +. Mostly don’t know they are on until the phone gets a call or a notification. Can still hear the real world around me with less anxiety about not being aware of warning noises or voices. Great for listening to music and/or watching movies in bed without wires and without bothering my sleeping partner. Excellent charge case that works on wireless charging pad. Great for the work place with ability to pair to phone and computer simultaneously for quieter online meetings and general office environment for work colleagues. Love the “find my earpiece” function! Great for travelling Great for relaxing Great for working Best all round hearing device We have ever experienced!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH SHOKZ ROKZ 🙏🤩💖
Simple setup experience. After downloading the app, I registered my Shokz and within a minute I was ready to go. I also had to update the firmware, which took about 1 minute via my phone. Very impressed and was out the door running soon after. Recommend this to anyone!
Work well for swimming. I find they are a more than capable replacement for my 18 year old bone conductor “headphones” for swimming (if you know the brand you know). They are good for cycling with more awareness of what’s happening around you and don’t have the amplified wind noise that drives you nuts. All round they work well. The only negative is the kind of vibrate the skin next to the ears a little, it could get annoying.
Great product. I bought these for the gym as over ear headphones are hot and get in the way. I had one of the first sets of Shokz and lived them and these definitely don’t disappoint the sound is great and allows you to stay connected to the surroundings. I use them all the time now and only use my OE for flying as they have ANC. Battery life is great they are comfortable for use with glasses as well. Really good product.
Great for walking. I swapped out my high end in ear noise cancelling earbuds for the open run pro mini. I did this due to a heart issue left my balance a little off so walking in a sound bubble was unsafe. My open runs are the best. I am able to listen to great sounds and still be present in my environment. I loved them so much I upgraded to the 2 and gave my first pair to my partner. We are able to walk together whilst listening to our own music and also talk. I would highly recommend any walker buy the bone conducive head phones which Shokz are the best I have bought for quality, sound and connectivity. So easy to use.
Perfect for daily use. This is my second generation purchase - previously owned the aeroplex. The OpenRun2 is a major upgrade and worth the extra cost compared with the OpenRun. Apps allows to set equalizer presets for different scenarios. Seamless transfer to other device. Only downside is the charging - I would have preferred the magnetic charging method instead of the USBc.
Open Run Pro 2. As a girl with small ears, these are an absolute game changer!! They don’t move at all for my runs and look super cute too. Also love that I can still hear the surroundings despite my music playing on full volume! I am an anxious girly and constantly looking behind myself…… Long story, short, add to cart right now and thank me later 🫶🏼
Comfortable. I find the Dotz extremely comfortable and often forget I am wearing them, especially if I have paused the book or music I was listening too. Unlike the AirPod Pros I was using, I don’t get that same gummy feeling in my ears after listening to a book or music album for more than 30 minutes. Would recommend to everyone.
Loving them. Bought them for work more than anything as I have to still be able to hear what’s going on around me, while still listening to my music. Call quality is phenomenal and the battery life and recharge are amazing. I’ve had them on pretty much every day since I bought them. 10/10 recommend.
Game changer for busy working mums. As a busy working mum always on the go, the Shokz ProRun 2 has truly been a game-changer for me! These bone-conduction headphones allow me to enjoy my favorite music or podcasts while staying completely aware of my surroundings—a must when juggling kids, work, errands, and indoor/outdoor runs. One of the standout features is the comfort. Unlike traditional earbuds, which can feel uncomfortable or even painful after extended use, these sit perfectly without pressing into my ears. Even at the highest volume settings, they don’t hurt or cause hearing imbalance, which is a big plus for long listening sessions. The sound quality is surprisingly clear for open-ear technology, and I love how safe they feel when I’m outside—no more worrying about missing important sounds like traffic. When I’m running indoors and my child is sleeping, I am confident I can still hear him when he calls. If you’re a multitasking mum or someone who values both safety and high-quality sound, the Shokz ProRun 2 is worth every penny. Highly recommend!
Top marks for staying in place and comfort, but…. These are the perfect solution to problematic ear buds that never stay in…forever repositioning or pushing back in. However, if you are an audiophile, don’t get your hopes up for sound quality. Bone conduction technology isn’t anywhere close to what you’d get from ear buds or traditional headphones. Just received these and the jury is still out, but at the moment I’m sure going out for runs will be better having something that doesn’t slip out, especially when sweating. Not sure I’ll get lost in the music as much though.
Sound great. I use them pretty much exclusively for running and trail running. They sound great and are so light I forget they’re there until my running app calls out info. The only issue I’ve had is with the Shokz app not pairing, particularly when I’m not in wifi. Connecting with my other apps is no problem and quick as well. The Shokz app also seems to be stuck telling me they are at 80% charge when they were already at 80% before a two hour run. It would be great if my phone could just tell me what its charge level is.
Upgraded from the 2018 model in 2026. My last set were Aftershokz bone conduction. Put on immediately noticed they sit a bit better on the ear even with sunglasses on, base and mid tones are substantially cleaner, range when walking away from my phone is a fair chunk larger and signal is stronger in the rooms that used to be trouble rooms. The new voice over lady is a little bit lower in tone but comes over clearer and still very pleasant. Hardware change in functionality that stands out is how much more responsive power/volume buttons are on the bone conduction unit.
Perfect. Love my new Shokz OpenFit. Wished I discovered then earlier. PROs: no need to drop volume or pull them off my ears when someone talks to me, I’m still completely aware of my surroundings while listening to music or podcasts, easy to use functionality, great fit, great sound, long battery life, and the best feature of all (for me) is no more sweaty ears or ear canals causing ear infections from overuse. CONs: not loud enough in very noisy environments but then again they weren’t designed for that and sometimes I don’t even know I have the earphones on, which is also a PRO because they are very comfortable.
Good for swimming but complicated to load anything from an iPad or iPhone.. Great sound- especially while swimming. It is quite complicated to upload music and podcasts using an iPad or iPhone. I had to purchase a separate adaptor and even then it took a while to work out how to transfer files to the headset without a pc or laptop. I eventually consulted a friend who is a specialist in using media files with apple products. We developed a complicated patch requiring the downloading of extra software to convert files. It would be helpful if the manufacturers could develop and publish a step by step guide on how to do this.
Shocked by the Quality and Versatility of the Open Run Pro 2s. As a musician who’s active, I’ve been looking for set of headphones that enable me to get high quality audio with being in-ear, comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and giving me the ability to hear external sound which has been perfect for practicing vocals against a listening play list and backing track. It’s perfect for pitching and interacting with the music I’m listening without bothering others around me with a loud backing track. Really love these headphones for exercise (walking and riding my bike), taking phone calls and virtual meetings for work and for practicing singing between band rehearsals! Would highly recommend the Open Run Pro 2 headphones! The app enables me to set up these perfectly to my audio preferences easily on the run with very little effort! 👍🏻🤘🏻
Safety Security Comfort and Listening Pleasure. Shokz is most definitely a product worth Looking into if your after Quality Product at an affordable price. I bought a pair for my wife for her birthday as I was concerned for her safety while crossing busy roads on her way to work, unlike noise cancelling headphones that Totally block external noise these Shokz headphones totally blew my wife away with Not only sound quality but she feels totally safe being able to hear oncoming traffic.. My dear wife bought me a pair for Christmas and I too instantly fell in love with the sound quality while training at the Gym and being able to take calls with perfect sound quality 😎😎😎 I also wear a Baseball cap regularly and the Headphones are Absolutely Perfect 👌👌👌 Totally recommend these to Anyone and Everyone!! You won’t be disappointed Thanks to the Developers
Using for WFH. WFH and being on meetings for sometimes hours a day, over the ears get hot and uncomfortable, in ear give me earache, now we have Shokz, very comfortable wear for hours with no fatigue, sounds pretty good for transmitting the audio through your head Can get a bit buzzy if they are up loud Keen to try in the data center as can wear with earplugs and still hear fine Very happy and recommend for this task
Excellent technology for safety and sound quality. I love the concept of bone conduction headphones so my ears remain free and I can safely hear my surroundings whilst listening to music. It’s really important when I’m outdoor running or traveling and wanting to remain aware. Adjusting the sound quality via the app makes a big difference and overall I love these. There’s a limitation to the maximum volume I can appreciate my music, given interference from my surroundings. A big fan overall.
Awesome.. Very happy with these headphones. Bought the open fit 2 before I realised there was a swimming version, so now I have a pair of each! Very impressed with how easy the mp3 transfer is for the open swim model. And 32GB storage means less time shuffling songs on and off device. These are the best headphones for exercise I have ever had. And I’ve had (still got) Bose QC noise cancelling in-ear versions. They’re great too, but the bone conduction allowing me to hear my surroundings is a big plus.
Open run pro 2. Very happy with these headphones! I use them for running with great awareness and they do go a lot louder than I expected! and at work with talk back radio, these are great for that! I don’t use them in the gym tho as I like to drown out everything and just get in the zone! All in all these are mint!! they do everything they are made for really well! Cheers
Use them everywhere. These headphones are the best. The sound is clear and I can use them running and swimming. I love that I can load songs onto the headphones so I don’t need to take my phone on runs - also this is how I can listen when swimming. I like that I can wear these and still hear ambient noise. Another great feature is that my wife can use them without worrying about filthy ear wax. Definitely recommend.
Great product. Really impressed with these headphones. The open-ear design is comfortable enough to wear for hours and still lets you stay aware of your surroundings, which is ideal for running and commuting. Sound quality is surprisingly good for bone conduction, battery life lasts ages, and they stay secure during workouts. The only downside is they’re not as bass-heavy as in-ear headphones, but that’s expected with this style. Overall, excellent product and definitely worth the money.
Exceptional product. I have previously had a pair of the OpenRun Pro headphones. After 3 years of using constantly for listening to music, phone calls etc, they broke…..through my own fault, I got them caught when taking them off and snapped one side. Definitely wanted another pair so went into local retailer. Looked at the range and after trying on the different models and experiencing the sound quality, I opted for the OpenFit - seperate left and right type. So far so good and love them. Like the idea of the charging case along with the different settings via the app.
Not my best purchase 😢. My beats broke and my salesman said try these. They are super light which worries me that I might not notice if one falls off. The sound is great if you’re in a quiet place, definitely not good walking through busy streets and definitely not good on a plane. Which is a shame cause I travel for work but I simply can’t hear through them very well. I do feel the battery dies very fast compared to my beats. They don’t last a full day, I need to recharge at least once. Am I glad I’ve swapped brands? Probably not :( I returned them and bought more beats
The Best. My absolute favorite Bluetooth headphones to date…and I’ve had a lot! Super comfortable with great sound quality. The fact they don’t sit in your ear means they stay clean and free of wax and allow you to hear what’s going on around you (as long as volume is not too loud) while still having more than enough volume to hear music clearly while on busy streets. Battery also lasts quite a long time. The only thing I wish they were able to do is have volume control and skip songs (fwd/rev) at the same time. At the moment you can only do one or the other at a time. Other than that they are absolutely perfect👌🏾
Perfect for Cycling - Safe, Comfortable, and Great Sound. I’ve been using Shokz OpenRun Pro for road cycling and they’re awesome. The open ear design lets me hear traffic clearly while still enjoying music or GPS directions. Super lightweight, comfy even on long rides, and the sound quality is much better than I expected. Battery lasts ages and charges fast too. High recommend for any cyclist who wants safety and sound together.
Super Comfortable and Great for Work. I absolutely love these Shokz headphones for my office use! They’re incredibly comfortable, even during long hours, and I barely notice I’m wearing them. The open-ear design lets me stay aware of my surroundings while still enjoying great sound quality. Perfect for calls, music, and focus time!
More listening. Open ear for more listening - Shokz OpenFit 2 opens up all-day listening to playlists and favourite radio programs - while on a sun bed, walking the streets or building a house. The Open Ear concept does not block out the world around you, rather sets up the right balance to focus on your tunes but still hear someone saying “Hi”. Finally, say good by to wind noise from ANC devices when facing a head wind. I’m enjoying this new experience.
Not as expected!. I will start with the bad! Unfortunately there is almost no bass at all - the sound is rather dull. I was expecting far more considering the “TurboPitch” technology. My standard Apple plug in headphones have more bass! The volume is also way too low - I have good hearing and the maximum volume is barely above normal conversation. Now for some good. They are comfortable and the controls are simple and easy to operate. The sound is crystal clear. The battery life is great. I was expecting so much more from these but despite the comfort and easy controls I am very disappointed at the sound level. I think I might have to return them and seek an alternative option.
Fully Shoked!. I have found these great for running as they have excellent sound quality but still keep me connected to the outside world. I couldn’t find them one day and realised that they had gone through the wash with my run clothes! I let them dry out and they are still working perfectly! Very happy to have such great quality product! Go Shokz!
Very happy. Best range for Bluetooth! Have tried many, these are far superior than anything else on the market. Quality is fantastic, just replaced my last pair that were over 2 years old and used everyday for 8-12 hours whilst working online. You will not find better! Don’t waste your money by trying to save and buy a cheaper inferior product, it will cost you more in the long run when you have to buy something else when they don’t work. You will not be disappointed with Shokz!
Love them. I bought these to listen to podcasts while swimming laps. I lose track of time and lap count, so it’s nice to check occasionally and realise I’ve done more than expected. Easy to set up, easy to use. I have yet to figure out how to load audio books onto it but hopefully I will get there. Overall I am happy with this headset.
AWESOME. I was a bit sceptical when my wife showed me these, but from the moment I put them on I knew I had to have some. So “Self-Santa” bought me the Pro at Boxing Day sales. I love that you don’t have to remove when talking to people face to face, just turn music off. Also I was running a business which required me to answer the phone all through the day, from fully charged, about 50 phone calls and listening to the cricket in between, still had 65% battery at the end of the day. Very Happy 😃
Great for Work. Purchased these for work as I need to be able to hear what’s going on around me while still being able to take calls and listen to music. I’m constantly in and out of the office and multipoint pairing works well. Swaps almost seamlessly between my phone and laptop on teams calls. Can’t get them to pair to my Samsung TV no matter what I do. Overall great though.
Shokz are amazing!!. I’m so happy that I bought both openfit and openmove! I feel safe when getting to my car after my nursing shift. The headphones helps my anxiety when I’m in public. The sound is amazing and when taking phone calls it’s clear as day! I could never go back to any other headphones. Can’t wait till I save up for the swimming Shokz!! You won’t regret 😍
Wish I had bought some sooner. I am currently prepping for an overnight charity walk and wanted something that would last the 9-10 hour stretch but with an open ear or conduction style so I didn’t have the aching ears by the end from airpods or something similar. I also saw benefits in the office being able to hear around me with tunes breaking the silence. Im super happy with my purchase. Ive also setup multiple device connections so my personal and work mobiles receive calls without me having to take them off to answer.

Great sound!. Im still a super new user, but first impressions are quite positive. Comfortable. I newly forgot that they were there after a few hours wearing!
Great. It’s great.
Efficace. Juste ce qu’il faut
Best running headphones. These headphones have been a game changer for my runs. Whether I’m alone or with friends, these headphones let me stay connected to what’s happening around me. The app is awesome with lots of customization options and support.
Great.. No issues. Sounds is clear and loud. Would recommend
Great product. Safest way to bike in the city
Très bon produit. Produit de qualité tant par ses matériaux que le niveau sonore
Best headphones for my “Adhd" brain. I can listen to music while listening to every conversation in the restaurant. Adhd paradise, no compromise. Distractions and awareness at the same time. My brain loves chaos.
Écouteur Shokz. Sérieusement super confortable
Best open ears. Simply the best
Shokingly good. I ordered my first Skokz product, the open comm headset based on a review. I’m blown away by the whole experience. Setup, support and sound quality all get top marks. I liked them so much I’ve since bought the open run and open meet products. Love ‘em!
Très bon. Je suis très satisfait de se produit
Good. Good
These are great. Easy to use, good sound, and solid battery life. Definitely use them w the app though — lets you know battery level and adjust sound for various listening.
Great headphones. Good app
Connection. Votre application est nul, impossible de s’inscrire….
Sweet sound. For things that done sit in your ear I’m impressed at the quality of sound and the hardware itself!!
OpenRun. The RunPro headset is the ideal solution for active use performing flawlessly during runs bike rides, and gym workouts. The ability to switch between music and calls is seamless. I would highly recommend this device.
Tinnitus. I wear these at night playing lower frequencies and they do not bother my sleep.
Surprising and satisfied. I have the open ear wireless headphones and they are amazing. Great sound quality and on top of that being able to hear my surroundings is great.
AMAZING!. I’ve had these for 2 years now and I’ve never been happier! Great battery life, incredible sound and the fit is amazing, I often forget I have them on. I got them originally for tattooing so I could listen to music and still hear my clients. Now I use em for everything and I don’t leave the house without em. I’ve had 8 people buy a pair because of my recommendation since I’ve gotten them. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Fabulous. Best I have used!
Merci.
Open air 2. I love these!!
Best Ear buds. I have the open fit 2 and they are the best. I have tried numerous ear buds and these are by far the best quality. I love how they don’t go into the ear and collect wax. Since purchasing my first pair, I have purchased 2 other pairs. Love them!!
Great headphones. Happy with product, works great, highly recommend. Clear sound
Best ever. Love my new Shokz
Nice!. Powerful yet simple app
Easy and perfect. Easy to use while doing other tasks and still feel connected with others
Thank*You!!. Have had OpenFits for 3yrs and will NEVER buy another product other than SHOKZ. I highly recommend them to everyone in conversation and have recently bought 3 pairs for family members. Two of them are swimmers but I couldn’t afford the OpenSwim waterproof pairs. My daughter LOVES the fact that she can listen to audio books and calming music while still hearing the kids playing. The family LOVES the OpenFits :)) Thank*You for a wonderfully satisfying product. Cairenn
Everything is fine. Everything is fine
Brigitte.
Open sound. I like the sound and comfort of these ear pods. The App is also very good. My only recommendation is to have a bit more ability to modify for fit. Easy to loose when removing glass
Gestion simple et efficace. L’enregistrement automatique ainsi que la gestion des écouteurs à partir de l’application est simple et efficace.
The best open ear buds.. I’m an average blue collar worker, don’t do anything fitness exercise related. However, my job is very physical and very noisy at times. These buds have never fallen off my ears even though I barely notice that they are on my ears. Very comfortable all day use. The fact that they sound just as good as Apple AirPods, is truly impressive. Only con I have is that the case is a bit bulky.
Amazing music.. The app is really smooth and the ear dots vola🤌🏽
Great sound and so comfortable. The sound is unbelievable and you don’t feel you are wearing them.
Really great. I love these ! The sound is clear and I can bike without being afraid of getting hit by a car ! Looooove the way they look in orange, they stand out so much compared to other brands…The app has great functionality like EQ.
Shokz review. Worth the price, no pain in my ears...
Excellent. Work great!
Love them. I have loved these headphones so far. They’ve been a great asset to my workouts- specifically my runs. The battery lasts long and it’s easy to use. The carrying case is great for protection.
I luv my Shokz. Très satisfait
Nice. I like all functions
OpenRun Pro 2. Sound is incredible with very good base. The ability to pair with laptop and phone and switch seamlessly when a call comes in is a very appreciated feature
Tried others, now all I buy are Shokz. I went through several Bose, JBL, AirPods and I finally landed on the Shokz Openfit Air. Great with water, dropping them and their app is excellent. I now have three and all work perfectly. I learned about these by asking another mountain biker who recommended them. You can use them with your helmet l, sound is great, they fit well even with tight helmets. They work well with Siri on iPhones.
Good. Good
Best purchase. This things are awesome long battery life if you just use for calls like me and super fast charging

Great for work environment!! (Open Run Pro). I got myself the Open Run Pro, I was a little skeptical at first because I was used to earbuds and headphones but after a couple uses at work I’m using them all day with no discomfort which I cannot say about my old earbuds. I’m taking calls all day and also need to be aware of my surroundings and these make it possible. Definitely recommend to give them a shot.
Love “my Shokz”. I’ve tried many wireless headphones and ear buds and my Shokz bone conduction minis are OUTSTANDING. Ear buds just did not work for me, none truly fit my ears. They were uncomfortable, and would fall out of my ears, even ones with over-the-ear clips. My Shokz are comfortable, are not conspicuous and the sound quality is excellent. They far surpasses any previous types I’ve tried. Plus, the battery life exceeds my expectations. I go on daily walks (1 hr min) and I only charge them once per week. I highly recommend them to all.
Best bone conduction headphones yet!. I have tried several different bone conduction headphones (BCH) over the last year and all were not good - really poor sound quality. Then I found the Shokz OpenRun Pro. What a difference! The sound quality, while not “studio,” is far superior to all the others I’ve tried. They actually have really good sound quality. Also, they are very comfortable to wear. I would (and have) recommend(ed) them to family members looking for BCHs.
Best Shokz yet!. I have owned 3 pairs of Shokz and these have been my favorite by far. The smaller individual ear buds have made working out at the gym so much more comfortable. The fit of these over (in the ear) ear buds when working out keeps the discomfort from sweating to a minimum. And the previous Shokz that went around the back of the head and neck area got in the way and bounced when working out. If someone is looking for a set for the gym, these are what I would suggest.
Failed charges. They work great! But! Several times I go to reach and use my charged ear buds I find that one or the other is not charged. By the time I’m at the gym and ready to workout it is too late. I have to wait an extra 30 minutes to charge one of them up enough to start my workout. I have experienced this several times with me making sure when I return them to the case charger that both are properly installed and light blinks with each earpiece inserted. After inserting both earbuds and closing the case I would plug in the wire to charge all, that I assume is happening.
Amazing Sound. I wanted headphones that allowed me to hear my surroundings. I’ve tried bone conduction headphones before and was prepared to have tinny sounding music. Fast forward to the Open Run Pro 2. I am shocked at the sound quality. Before my purchase, I thought these would be my working out headphones and I’d use in ear earbuds for everything else. Now I’m thinking this is my everything headphone!
Open swim pro. The device is awesome, really cool technology I wish I had adopted years ago. But the app is kinda pointless. With the open swims you have to transfer MP3s from your laptop to the actual open swim headset like it’s 1998!Why can’t we add files straight from our library to the app and then upload them to the device. It seems like that should be a thing. Gotta say, I haven’t thought about MP3s in at least 5 years, and now I have to plug it into my computer like the olden days before iCloud! Non-swimmers wouldn’t care, but Bluetooth doesn’t work in water…but there’s gotta be a better way using the app
Best Headphones Ever. What an ear opening experience this has been! You can hear every little subtle nuance. it’s like being gifted with super hearing! They are extremely comfortable, I’ve been walking around all day with them on my head. Because of the cool induction technology you can still hear the wife, while you listen to music. it’s a whole new world, you can pair them with your phone, you’re Apple TV, your iPad. you can switch back-and-forth between your phone and your Apple TV with multipoint connection. By far the best headphones I have ever used.
Open run are awesome. 5+ on these I can’t take them off. I use them all day long with no complications. I listen to books, music, voice text and talk at work and don’t miss a word from my coworkers or when I play ball. Not blocking my ear hole with an earbud is comfortable and very beneficial in any sport. Also allows me hear what’s going on in the shop a huge safety bonus. Get some you won’t regret it. Well you might because buying all your loved ones a pair gets costly but you will.
Update 5.0.0 Broke Something. After updating to 5.0.0 version, the App cannot see that my OpenRun Pro2 Mini is connected to my phone so I can’t update firmware or change sound settings. The app worked fine until the 5.0.0 update. Shokz Customer Service tried to help, but phone restarts, App deletion and reload, and re-setting and re-pairing headset didn’t solve the problem. I see older reviews from prior App versions note similar issues with other headset models so I assume this is a problem which hopefully will be fixed in a future update.
Best Bluetooth headphones. I’ve had these headphones for about two years now. They’re so light sometimes I forget I’m wearing them. Which causes a problem I forget to put them on sometimes. Lol. I highly recommend buying these that I bought another pair just for work also as a backup just Incase I leave them at home. The sound quality is top notch. I also don’t have to worry about them falling out of my ears. I can’t wait to try the new pair just released.
Love! Love!. I love Shokz and at this time I have 3 devices (2 for me and gave first set to my daughter). Will more than likely purchase another set soon, as my other kids have realized it’s magic. They now love borrowing/stealing mine as buds hurt their earlobes - I don’t really like sharing and need both sets. Although the sound production is great in all models, you do need to think of your lifestyle before choosing which Shokz model works best for the environment in which it will be used the most.
Amazing!!!. I am absolutely loving the Shokz open fit headphones. The sound quality has been outstanding and it gives off the vibe of being in an auditorium and listening to music all around you. I found myself taking them off for fear of the sound being noticeable to entire around me, but no one heard a thing! These are great for me as I work in an office environment and need to be able to hear others unobstructed, but also want to listen to music and podcasts. These have been the perfect solution. As for calls I have had no problems hearing anyone or them hearing me. The mics pick up very well and filter out background noise quite well. Overall very impressed and would absolutely purchase again. These have replaced my AirPods and airpod pro’s.
App doesn’t work nor headphones with Siri. That these headphones don’t work with Siri. I have just wasted the better part of an hour trying to troubleshoot because the manual doesn’t show anything about using it with Siri. Voice dictation is also really lousy. I understand that there is a toggle to switch to make voice communication better, but I can’t turn that on because the app keeps saying errors even though the device is paired. I tried to open a ticket and I get system error on the app even after restarting my phone and reinstalling the app. Total waste of time and it makes me wanna go back to my iPods, which I was hoping not to use. I just wasted over $100.
Great sound BUT…. I’ve never been more happy with the quality of sound, the deep bass tones and yet the open ear that allows you to hear and be aware of your surroundings. But I’m knocking off two stars because the touch controls simply do not work as they should. I’ve tried, practiced over and over, and can only get it to pause with the “one tap” about 1 in 15 or 20 attempts. Very frustrating. I’ve simply resorted to using my phone to pause and play. For a product at this price point, this is simply unacceptable.
Useless app, don’t waste your time. If you have anything other than OpenRun Pro or OpenFit you are wasting your time. My OpenRun headset is great but if you can’t do anything with this app then it’s useless. In response to this review they responded that they are always trying to improve their app and then reiterate that it is only compatible with two of the many devices under the aftershokz logo as if they updated the app and took away the older models of headsets. Bad business. You don’t restrict your clients, you add more clients. Their idea of what or who to cater to is simplified by making YOU buy more expensive headsets and in today’s economy that’s just asking for too much in my opinion.
Purchased new June 12, 2023. I’ve had these for few weeks today is July 3, 2023 and I pretty much more days all day for about 80% of the time they are comfortable and can hear really well if it is loud out probably not I can hear when mowing with a new quiet mower if I use on my rider no you won’t unless you put on earmuffs over them when you were mowing on your rider which I do anyways over all like
Excellent headset all around. I hate earbuds with a passion; they never fit my ears. I’ve also had very bad luck with bluetooth devices and flaky connectivity for years. My OpenFits have solved both issues. The open design and light weight allow me to comfortably wear them for hours while training or driving. Bluetooth has been easy to connect and repeatable even in multi-point mode. Sound quality is very good and I have no problems being understood in phone calls. Excellent all around.
Great headphones for mountain biking. I really like these headphones for riding since I can still hear the trail and what’s happening around me. The music quality is good too. I used to wear 1 apple earbud while riding and now I only use these. I get wind noise when descending, which could be countered by increasing the volume but I generally don’t go that route because if the sound goes too high I cant hear other trail users. I haven’t used them during a big rain, so I don’t know how well the water resistance works.
Not as good as I expected. I have many of the other products and are happy with them. I expected a big improvement on this ones, with more volume and no sweat effects. The volume is still low, and if you sweat the sound gets totally muffled. The only reason I’m keeping them is that the charger is a usb c. Now that is a great improvement. I travel and its one cable less I have to take. I hope they improve sound level and water proofing , that would make them a 10. Looking forward for the next ones if they improve.
Water proof. Did not do well being washed with soap and water. For over a week, it lost its bass, then started crackling. Used a blowdryer and it got worse. Do i put them away. A week later i gave them a try... wow, back to normal. Yes, sweet does make one suddenly get quiet. Simply soaking them in a little soap fixes that. But putting them in a jar and shaking them in soap and water? Not good. Lol. Regardless. The best open ear phones for bass responce, hands down.
Great headphones. I used them all day long. I can hear everything around me and still pick up my calls or listen to music and have a conversation at work. I like to hear everything around me. I’ll take these headphones over buds anytime because ear bud fall out or you have to pull them out every time you want to talk to someone. Not with these! These headphones are fire! I recommend you anyone to at least try them!
Shokz openfit. Bought these earbuds and have used them for about 24 hrs. Based on my limited experience I enjoy them a lot the app is user friendly and has decent customization. The sound is good doesn’t get quite as loud as I like but the sound is crisp. I only have one negative comment. The touch controls are sometimes not very responsive. This may could be fixed with an update. Overall though I have enjoyed them and I’ll probably be making these my go to earbuds!
Touch controls not the best. Went on my first run with openfits. Tried to double tap to skip track but the volume started to increase uncontrolled. I have them set to double tap to next track and press to hold to increase volume. After I start sweating, touch controls became erratic. Or sometimes it skip track and sometimes it just crank up the volume control. I have the open run minis and they seem to be much more reliable in the controls. One running in your hands are sweaty, had a sweaty, etc. I would say about 20% of the time to touch controls would work 80% of the time it would not work as expected.
Comfort. I have worn them and listened to music and talked on the phone using these headphones all day. The battery life is great and the clarity is exceptional, I had the music turned up a little loud so I couldn’t hear the noise around me, but I could tell if I turned it down I would be able to no problem. No one I spoke with even knew I was on headphones I also didn’t have that much background noise. All in all I would highly recommend they are so comfortable
I have small ears. So I have small ears, and my problem is always been getting the right fit or experiencing being uncomfortable after wearing earbuds for sometime. I picked these up because I didn’t want the ones that wrapped around my head and I wanted to be able to have good quality, music and here what’s going on around me and these nailed it! They’re never uncomfortable. I still get a great quality sound and I can hear what’s going on around me.
I love My Shokz. I have the OpenFit and OpenRun Pro. I love both devices. Great sound. I use the different devices during different situations, but that is personal preference and both can used for anything I want to do other than swimming or something with excessive moisture. They do fine in rain and with sweat, though I prefer OpenRun Pro for anything more than a slight rain. I’ve tried other brands, both cheaper and more expensive and Shokz has been the best so far for comfort, durability, and sound quality.
Just Awesome. My AirPods died and was looking for something new and saw a Shokz display at a store and was so impressed when I checked out the display. Very comfortable, glad they come in standard and mini, got the mini and great sound quality. Nice to not have to stick anything in my ears which is also a tremendous safety feature. They are awesome but do wish Mini was available in all the colors. Highly recommend!
Shokz Open Air. They’ve just arrived and I was able to quickly pair them to both my iPad and phone. The app is awesome and make it so much easier to establish and manage the Bluetooth connections. So far I’m very pleased with this upgrade from the Open Run bone conduction earphones which were less than satisfactory in a noisy situation unless I used earplugs… which I don’t like! These are great beyond my expectations so far and I’ll follow up as I use them more and more in a variety of situations.
A GODSEND!!. After struggling for years with my VA provided Phonak hearing aids (partially due to an unusually curved ear canal that intermittently blocked the sound) I now have lovely continuous music, podcasts and audio books SAFELY for my extended neighborhood walks and workouts. Also love the equalizer settings and ability to design my own unique settings. And as my sensitivity to the touch controls grows I am quite anticipating fashioning my own unique controls. THANKS A BUNCH SHOKZ EMPLOYEES, USERS AND DESIGNERS. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! From a DEFINITLY SATIFIED CONVERT!!Jim
Glad I decided to try. I have been a Shokz customer since they started I believe. I love the bone conduction aspect because I can still hear my surroundings. Now that they have the “OpenFit” model, I am ecstatic! They have a very clear sound to them and the background noise is for the most part, seems to be gone because no one tells me they can’t hear me! 😀 I guess it was meant for me to lose my most recent pair. Gotta get these registered though really quickly.
They’re alright maybe wouldn’t pay 180 for them (openrun pro). The sounds good however the fit has Much to be wanted just like in ear headphones they start to hurt after a while though it takes longer to become uncomfortable also the battery life is not as advertised instead of the 10 hours that they say you get you might only get 7-8 if you use the side button to skip songs and pause or play as this drains battery significantly. Over all they are alright not anything amazing but they certainly do the job.
Excellent product!. I've been using bone conduction headphones for a while now, and they're fantastic! The open-ear design is incredibly comfortable and allows me to stay aware of my surroundings, which is perfect for running and cycling. The sound quality is impressive, with clear audio that's perfect for music and calls. They're also lightweight, durable, and have excellent battery life. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe and comfortable listening experience!
Shocks OpenFit Earbuds. These are the most comfortable earbuds I own. The open Fitness design allows me to hear everything that’s going on around me and still have hands-free phone calling and music listening from my iPhone. I do wish that the charging case had a readout of the charge status of both earbuds and the case itself, clearly marked, but you need to go to the Shokz app to view charge status. PS. At times my earbuds only charge to a maximum of up to 80% full? I’m not sure why this happens? Overall, I’m happy with this product.
They run hot and cold for me!. When first got these I was thrilled! I have smaller ears and the typical “in-ear” ear buds just don’t work. They don’t fit and they actually hurt! The first time I used my Shokz, I didn’t even know I was wearing them! The sound was awesome too. Plus I could still hear external sounds if needed. Now for the cold part! Every so often one of my ear buds stops working!! I haven’t been able to figure out why! It’s kind of a pain. I have to “Forget Device” and start all over. If I could get that mystery solved I would’ve given a 5 star rating!!!!
Open run pro opinion. Love them, and they do exactly what I bought them for. I can ride my bike and feel safe. I hear all the cars the sound does go down a little, but hey that’s why I bought them! The one thing that I really like the most is when I ride back roads I can still hear all of mother natures sounds plus my music it really is joy. Only downside for me is I wish they were just a touch louder. Perfect for what they were designed for would buy again, and recommend.
Shoxz open swim. After reading the reviews on the open swim I’m very pleased with these! I have the regular units I wear while riding my bicycle so these are a totally separate experience! I read that some folks weren’t satisfied with volume and song clarity, I must disagree .. especially once your head is on the water., I think that the ear plugs and nose plugs are superfluous and totally not necessary.. I swim around mile most days a week and I tell you 32 laps is boring without these Shock waterproof units! I’m buying my wife a set for Christmas!! Shhhh!
Loving my OpenFits. Easy to use and quality built, I’m liking these headphones a lot. There is a little getting used to the fit after using traditional Shokz headphones for the past several years, but once you realize they are secure on the ear they are great. The touch controls take a little practice, but work well once you get the hang of them. Sound is much better than traditional bone conduction Shokz. I recommend these to anyone seeking an open ear design.
Shokz OpenFit. I love these open-ear headphones they sound great, they have more bass then my first generation Apple AirPods Pro’s and are way more comfortable. The only thing I wish they would add is triple tap, with only double tap and long tap you can’t have access to all the controls. I have long tap for volume and double tapping for play / pause and access to Siri. I have to use my Apple Watch for previous and next song.
App needs a bit of work.. I like the app and the possibilities that are opened with the app. Love the ability to have multiple devices connected. I wish the eq proton had the ability to adjust the sound and tones for a more personal experience. Or have different setting than just talk and standard. Give the end user the ability to adjust or have the option to turn off/ on the bass, etc. If not, at least have a rock, country, jazz type of pre programmed type of settings with the talk setting.
The best earbuds. I went from higher end Sony noise cancellation earbuds to these and I couldn’t be happier. The typical noise cancellation earbuds would really make my ears feel sore after awhile, and I never could get them to fit properly. These new ones I got from Shokz have been pretty amazing, I can do all my hobbies, have conversations, do my wildlife photography, and also the safety aspect is just great. So nice to be aware of the surroundings while listening to music
Open Run Pro. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the audio quality and ease of use of the open run pro headphones. I’m an avid cyclist and these are absolutely perfect for that use. I’ve also been noticing many others using these on the road. I did have a problem with one of the transducers failing but Shokz quickly sent me a replacement without any drama. I greatly appreciate a company that stands behind their product and demonstrates a commitment to customer service
Openrun Mini. Just got the Openrun Minis today. Was able to pair them with my phone. All good. The manual that came with suggested going online for more info. 1-can’t find this model online. ? 2-downloaded the app to my phone. 3-the app couldn’t locate my openruns. ? 4-got on my MacBook laptop to checkout reviews. The App Store returned with “No Results” when searching. ? Did I buy an obsolete pair? I will use for now as I like them, just wish I had more support. Then again maybe they are basic enough they don’t need more support.
Sales Region. I have had a Shokz headset for over a year or more now. I open the app this morning and I cannot use it without setting a sales region. Why now? I have had it for this long, why are you suddenly asking for this and getting in my way. I don’t care what region I’m in. I just want to use the headset and adjust which device it’s connected to before I make a Teams meeting or a phone call. And while I’m at it, the app is terrible. It disconnects from the device all the time and constantly needs to reconnect to it wasting time. The two features I use the most is monitoring the battery and switching between devices, so I really don’t need a sales region for a custom experience.
Classic mode, perfect. From a Shokz fan who has almost every generation and kind of Shokz headphones, I was first disappointed to in the Pro 2 headset since it departed too much Shokz bone conduction and just seemed like most of the sound was coming from the speakers (“dual pitch”) and not bone conduction. With the latest update I love having the choice of bone conduction or dual pitch, as there are times I prefer one over the other. Thank you Shokz!
Love your product!. WHOAH!! I have the pro run series and they are phenomenal, excellent for any occasion. I wear them all day at work and I tell everyone how awesome they are all the time. I would love to win a reward for being such an advocate for these headphones, I literally sleep in them. Audiobooks are nice to listen to dozing off. And for some reason when I lay on a pillow with a hoodie on the music is only sounding better. Please I love what you have to offer. Thank you for the opportunity to win something for letting you know how awesome the Shokz company is. Nothing but good words.
Game changer!. I LOVE my Shokz OpenSwim! I am more of a recreational/leisurely swimmer than a competitive swimmer and this headset full of tunes makes endlessly swimming back and forth across the pool so much more enjoyable. Since they don’t go directly into or over my ears, I can have a full conversation with no problems during social kick sets. Since it is bluetooth, I also enjoy using outside of the pool with my phone to watch shows and videos. This headset is the BEST!
Most awesome headphones EVER!!!. These things are SO sweet! I love them, they’re the best. I use them almost every day, at work or at home or out and about running errands. They’re so comfortable and light, I forget I’m even wearing them most of the time! I can listen to my music and have total situational awareness at the same time, it’s PHENOMENAL! The customizable EQ modes through the easy to use SKOKZ app make the sound quality just THAT much sweeter, really makes whatever you’re listening to so crisp and clean. And the battery life, SO LONG! Up to 12 hours of straight listening at 50% to 70% volume level. Seriously, it’s really good! I absolutely love these, and I think everyone should have a pair! Go get yours today, you will NOT be disappointed. So glad I have these, they’ve changed my life for the better. I’d definitely buy again, 110%
Amazing way to multitask safely and sounds great!. This openpro mini is a game changer! 1. Nothing to fall off ever 2. Can wear all day and no ear irritation 3. You are actually enjoying tunes and doing other activities concurrently….and only you know it!! 4. I run 10 miles a day,in the city, and be aware of sounds( cars/dogs/ sirens sounds/ car horns, etc) AND be jamming to my tunes or audiobook. 5. Battery life is 9 hours……perfect 6. The SHOKZ app allows both EQ- voice and bass. Great EQ. not to tinny sound or All bass. It’s a great blend and easy to change. 7. The unit color I prefer is black. It is not overpowering and barely noticeable to others. The honest negatives: 1. The cord is very short can get lost. I twisted it to my other cords-no longer a issue. 2. Friends will TRY your unit and will BEG you to give yours to them!!!!
Absolutely the best. I absolutely love my Shokz OpenRun Pro headphones! The sound quality is incredible, especially considering the open-ear design. They’re super lightweight and comfortable, even during long runs or workouts. I appreciate the safety of being able to hear my surroundings while still enjoying my music or podcasts. The battery life is impressive, and the quick charge feature is a lifesaver. If you’re looking for headphones that are perfect for an active lifestyle, these are a game-changer!
