No open delta wye. There’s not an open delta wye bank.

Good learning/practice tool. Good learning/practice tool! Could use some minor adjustments such as easier access to lines(too close to bottom of screen), a way to look back at the bank you are building during a quiz (without restarting) and the addition of power banks. Overall good app though

Wrong wiring in diagram. The diagram for a 277/480 Wye/Wye bank is wrong. Also the H.V. on the transformer name plate on dual bushing transformer is wrong.

Transformer. Any chance there is an update to add single bushing pots for the banks my co op uses them and this would be a great tool?

Awesome!. Awesome this really helps me! Been looking for something like this! Also, I’m an apprentice currently trying to learn but I think there should be a hints button to try to see what your doing wrong.

Lighter bank & metering. What about a lighter bank category for closed banks or corner grounded banks? Any chance on expanding into metering? Great app, has helped me a lot.

Love the app but…. Definitely some issues. I’ll wire up a bank correctly and it’ll tell me it’s wrong. I can delete my secondary’s and reconnect them exactly the same way and close the fuses again and it’ll say it’s right. Also, I’ll wire up a wye delta (for example) and it’ll say “this is a correct way to wire a delta delta bank” when obviously it should say wye delta. Lastly the app needs to be run with a horizontal screen but you can’t put the volt meter on the c phase secondary leads because of the layout. Still worth the $10 with the few issues it has

XFMR LAB. Good app especially for apprentice lineman. It will definitely help them in learning wiring up different banks.

Okay app. What I did not like is you can’t get a zero read on like phases it gives a 240 read when it is really a zero read this was wye delta bank straight 240

Voltmeter doesn’t work and needs more labs!. Cool app, but the voltmeter doesn’t work! It will not let you drop the leads to the voltmeter on the bottom two phases… this prevents you from doing the tests because in the test it tells you to check secondary voltage with the meter… Also needs more labs! It’d be great if there were just more labs with different scenarios, or a feature like “customer needs 480 3 phase power for x load, pick the right transformer and hook up” type situations.

Okay. Not to bad of an app. Wish you could pick what you want on the secondary side and primary side. Voltages, etc..

Shows wrong connection with right hook up. I’ll make a connection and check work, shows right voltage but wrong connection. Check the system’s connection and it’s exactly the same. Refresh connection and it will show it as correct. Downloaded this for my apprentices but I can’t use this app and worry about confusion or frustration. Good theory, too many bugs…

Almost perfect. I’m using this app to practice my connections for my transformer class and it’s really really great well worth the 10$ but when I wire up a bank correctly it will tell me it’s wrong it only does this with the delta delta or the wye wye I will match them up perfectly with the image but still say it’s wrong I’ve even asked my teacher if they are wired correctly and he said yes. Once that gets fixed this app will be 5/5

Dissatisfied. I am very disappointed. There’s no option to select the transformers you want, no way to select primary voltage, no 277/480, no addictive/subtractive options. There’s a difference in knowing how to bank and knowing how to hook up a bank when told wye or delta.

Amazing. I’m an apprentice lineman an this helped understand so much however, I would love to see the “advanced tx” you mention in above comment especially the additive an subtractive portion. Great app an very very helpful for myself.

Neat idea still needs work!. Some neat information. Dislike that it doesn’t tell you what it would like you to correct just says something is wrong? Volt meter doesn’t work. I made a perfectly good connection and it kept blowing the doors?? I know this was right but assume someone didn’t know how to make the connection how are they supposed to learn from this app? It’s a neat idea but has lots of room for improvement hopefully my 10 dollar donation to what seems to be a unfinished product helps finish this app.

Good app kinda confused. How do you connect the h2 to the neutral everytime I tie them in I can get them to turn white but they come in upside down. How do I make them look like the picture ? I’m sure there is a way to do it but I’ve been messing with this app a few days and have yet to figure it out

Great app, let’s take it up a notch. How about being able to select transformers from a list (a.k.a. transformer dock)so to be able to bank subtractive and additives transformers. Also, would like to be able to tie three phase secondary legs on the open secondary lines below transformers instead of tying secondary bushings then dropping one leg to secondary. Just suggestion to make people understand the beast. UPDATE! The developer has contacted me that they are already moving towards these improvements!!

Great for linemen. Great app. Highly recommend for any apprentices or journeymen looking to brush up on their banking skills. Would love to see paralleling 3 phase banks in the future. I’ve had the app for a while and have noticed new features come up, like single phase paralleling and troubleshooting.

Awesome!!!!. Been a lineman for a few years and have always struggled understanding banks but this has made it easy and fun to memorize everything about bank building! Be your brothers keeper and share this app with them

Xfmr app. Great app to teach the basic hook ups but it only allows you to hook up 120/240 or 120/208. Should make an option to hook up 480 banks. Also it would be great to include transformers of different polarities. Also add 4th cutout to your wye delta banks

Lineman from MS. Would like to see more in depth internals.. Ability to cut over the pots ac/bd.. And 240/480/277 and 277/480 Other than that have recommended to all of my apprenticeship guys. I love it. Done 40 labs the first day I had it.

Timmy. Some of the answers in the advance quiz need to be fixed for the transformer selection question parts of the test. Selecting the correct transformer subtracts two points while selecting the improper voltage per nameplate is shown as correct. Please fix this as it could be confusing to anyone trying to learn.

Paralleling. Great app for guys to start understanding banks! Only issue is when paralleling cans. Rather than running the x3 and x1 to the same phase it wants you to run to opposite phases. That isn’t parallel, that’s a 240 secondary flash.

Different voltages. I like the way this app is setup. Is there a way, maybe I’m not seeing it, to create a 277/480 and a straight 480 bank. To be able to get into the secondary windings and parallel them together manually?

Handy for apprentices who are always on their phone. Works well! Good tool

Overall great app!. I have no complaints about this app.. it has definitely helped me learn about constructing banks and it has put me buses ahead of other apprentices in my area. **One thing I do wish to see in the app is the Delta & Wye vector charts for both primary and secondary.** this would help greatly when learning how to build banks.

Wye delta. Why does in make you tie in your high side h2 to ground. I had to reference back to my book to make sure I was right. Wye wye you tie wye delta you float

Great app. This app is awesome to play around with to learn and review your transformers and how they are built. I’ve recommended it to several people and will continue to recommend it to new apprentices!

Pretty Good. This app seems to work pretty good to learn some standard transformer connections. I’d love to be able to hit a button and see the vectors for the transformers. Maybe some way to practice drawing the vectors for each bank. Then vectoring two banks to see if they could phase.

Fuse blows when nothings wrong. When making a delta secondary hookup, when you attach the case grounds, the fuse blows and says it’s wrong. Not sure if it’s a bug or I’m im doing something wrong
