Awesome sudoku app. I tried a few different sudoku apps but this one is the one I kept. Lots of levels and a notes option to keep track of your possibilities. Easy to use and keeps me going

No ads, like games should be. Finally, a game where you can really relax and play a few rounds of sudoku without being bombarded by game ads. The ones with the tiny “x” that is impossible to tap on the first try and forces you to be rerouted to the App Store for a game you aren’t interested in. FINALLY the proper sudoku game app. Different levels of difficulty keep it interesting and the notes feature is in the game as well. Just a perfect app.

Best Sudoku App!. This app is great after I got it I played and found out how to play and on just my 2nd game I did a game so quickly because this app is AWESOME!!!

Great app and love that it has no ads!. It’s just plain and simple soduku, no mini games, pop ups or ads. One thing I would say, is the ‘note numbers’ and ‘real numbers’ are very close together so I’m always accidentally tapping a real instead of a note and it gets marked as a ‘mistake’ ☹️

Repetitive games. At first, loved this app but I’ve come to realize just how much the games repeat… can someone please add new puzzles in the higher levels? I’ve done the same few puzzles so many times this week. :(

Needs work. I dislike that it turns an error red. Id rather find my own mistakes. I also don’t like that there isn’t a way to reset the whole board you have to erase numbers 1 by 1. I turned off mysic but it still chimes and beeps when I put in a number or finish a row/column/square. All of its features require $1 per month which isnt a lot but id rather just pay money once and own the game. Its fine enough for now but I will be looking for a replacement in the mean time.

Don’t buy it!. Free version is great. I played a lot so I bought the $8 full version and nothing changed. It appears that the full version is identical to the free version!

Great app, not for masters. This app has been helpful in my training to get from intermediate to higher levels of difficulty. I love how you can place candidates automatically and how they highlight so you can see patterns. My only complaint is that with more difficult puzzles, they include many with multiple solutions. This is not classic sudoku. In sudoku, every puzzle should have exactly one and only one solution. By including these extra puzzles it makes it very difficult to learn the more difficult patterns because you try hard to find the next more for a long time before asking for solution help, only to find there are 22 solutions. Still overall it’s helped me to locate patterns much easier. Please consider eliminating these puzzles with multiple solutions. Thank you very much!

I like it but…. It is a very nice app. I just wish I could pull up a blank grid and put in a problem from another source. Say you mess up one from somewhere else and want to figure out where you went wrong. Input it in here and work on it on the go. Please consider this improvement.

Add some more fun things and other stuff. I can’t back out of a level I accidentally tapped on. And it’s a little boring. Add some competitive games. I’m sure it will make this app a little more interesting. Thank you. P.S : It also took sometime figuring out this review thing. I wrote a very long note and eventually figured out that I had been writing in the title the whole time. Add a label.

Limited to 3 mistakes!. What the heck? I love this game. I like to challenge myself. But in the harder ones I sometimes make 4 or 5 mistakes. Now I have to start over or pay?!?!? Ughhh *update. 3.0.3 is not available. Only the 3.0.2 How do I get it?

I rarely leave reviews. This sudoku game app is really well made, and that it has no ads is incredible. The other advanced functions may not be too useful for me, but I really enjoy it.

Level needed between easy and medium. In building my skill level, easy is too easy medium is too difficult. Do you have plans for a level between easy and medium?

Note # to small. Even with glasses the note numbers are to small to see for this Senior. May be have an option to have a different color for the notes and normal size #

Trial/ Monthly Premium Option. I am really interested in the premium features, but without trying them out first, I don’t feel comfortable committing to an annual subscription.

very good. i play sudoku literally everyday and this app is absolutely perfect for it. i love sudoku. sudoku is love and life itself. this app helps me channel my love for sudoku as it is ad-free and offers incredible options as for difficulty, notes, etc. it’s also completely perfectly playable without having premium. this is an incredible sudoku app.

Addictive 👍🏻. Every night …. Can’t wait to get in bed with sudoku and my iPad 😉😉😉

Now this one is ACTUALLY addictive. No ads you get to choose the difficulty and you can tell it not to show you the timer! It is such a simple game and I love it I just wish a few more of the things we’re unlocked but honestly you can play just fine without them.

Sounds while muted phone. You have to pay to turn off sound effects. My phone is even muted and it still plays sound effects, which are constant. That’s an immediate uninstall. Sad, bc I love that it gives you a full notes number list along side the normal number list so you don’t have to constantly toggle. Black list for notes blue for full commit. Simple and elegant and perfect.

Good for casual use. There seem to be only about 10 boards per difficulty. Due to the nature of the game this can be pretty hard to notice, so you can still get a lot of enjoyment out of it if you don’t play much. If you have a lot of downtime and find yourself playing it a lot, it gets repetitive really fast. Additionally, this app’s difficulty levels really do not match up with other apps, the medium is much more like the hard level or other apps, but the easy level is too easy.

First puzzle was wrong. I loved the interface of this app and quickly considered paying the $8 to unlock all the features. I’m so glad I didn’t because the first puzzle I did had an error and was completely incorrect and impossible to solve. Not only that, when I got as near the end as possible despite the error, but the puzzle had multiple solutions. That’s not true sudoku. I won’t even play a sudoku app with multiple solutions because it’s just not fun or soothing.

Best sudoku app out there. Truly no ads. Multiple difficulties. Same features as competitors. Choose this one

Reduced key Strokes. Automatically eliminates used numbers and easy selection of temporary or final number

Pay to access sound effects. It’s absolutely ridiculous I have to pay to turn off sound. I like the app but this part is annoying. Why would you lock the sound effects. Putting that behind a subscription is greedy.

Calms me down. I find this game very calming and sometimes satisfying. It rewards my patience and lets me learn from my mistakes. It’s tough enough to challenge me, yet soft enough to allow me to correct for any impulse decisions.

Background notes. Can’t turn down or off tones when you fill in a number

Average. The level of medium is not medium. Some games are and others are very advanced. I have worked a couple games outside this version to completion to a different answer than the game allows. Also you cannot affect the noises in the game as mine are locked out and it wants you to upgrade. So I just put my phone in silent mode when I play.

Night mode is pointless because of this feature. This app would be perfect if not for the screen that pops up when you win a game. What is the point of night mode if you’re gonna just assault my eyes every time I win a game. I don’t need some big win screen, it’s sudoku. Just let me know I won and start another game. Please add a feature to disable that feature, it takes the game from perfect to unplayable for those of us who play at night.

Medium Difficulty is Hard. Medium is actually hard and easy is very easy. So, basically I can't play medium sudoku games where I loke playing. Thus, had to uninstall.

Straightforward. No fancy tricks or graphics, just a good plain Sudoku with clear numbers. No ads. This is a keeper.

Great features, reasonable premium buy-in. I like a lot about this app. The privacy intrusion and data collection is very minimal compared to most other apps, for starters. I love that your notes light up in the puzzle when you tap on the corresponding numbers, so you can see all your possibilities and patterns. My main complaint is that the medium puzzles are too difficult. If you have to know techniques like"skyscraper", "intersection removal", "xy wing", "bug+1" (and more!) to solve a puzzle, it should be a Difficult puzzle, not Medium. Can you make that adjustment? Otherwise this is a great app!

Well…. I don’t claim to be a scholar or mathematician but I beat the hardest level in a little over 24 minutes with only 8 mistakes 🤷🏻‍♀️

You have to pay to adjust the volume. I can not fathom forcing someone to pay $8 to adjust the volume. It is like the ppl making the game were like what is the most annoying thing we can do to force them to ppl to pay.

Fun, but Noisy. This is a fun version of sudoku. I’m enjoying it. My one complaint is that you can’t control the volume on it—at least if you can, I haven’t figured out how. It would be nice to be able to play quietly.

You have to pay to adjust the volume. Certain settings, including volume control for the sound effects, require payment in order to access. $7.99 for “advanced functionality” is ridiculous. Sure, you could just mute your phone, but the concept of paying for basic volume settings is absurd. This is the worst sudoku app I’ve ever used.

Thank you but no thank you. An excellent version of the number puzzle, but do NOT market to me without the chance to translate what I'm seeing into English (or any other language) - it make things look like you were hacked (remember, you say NO ADS??) or that I'm about to be hacked. I have deleted the app. Do NOT market to me when our agreement is NO MARKETING.

Options??. Music or no music Counting mistakes??? No. I don’t want to keep track of every time my arthritic fingers touch a wrong key. Overall it’s a nice format.

Ronoco337. The game doesn’t have any information on how you can battle other players what am I supposed to be enlisting players so I can have opponents to share my I’d with so I can battle against someone

Kinda tiny print. Played this a lot until they won’t give you a new one if you make three errors- you can only redo the one you erred on or pay a subscription

Pretty sucky. This app works at least… This app would be ok if I didn’t have to pay for literally every single feature and I would like it more if it weren’t so annoying to navigate

Works well. Could use a couple tweaks but for the most part a nice app.

Best free sudoku. Perfect! allows you to play without all of those annoying ads and interruptions. I love this version

Datasucker. This app will use your data, and a LOT of it, even when all access to cellular data is turned off both in app and on phone settings. I had to buy a new GB of data, made sure it was turned off everywhere, played on and off for a couple hours, and it had burned through 0.5GB.

Almost good. I really like the interface, but there must be a mistake in their game generator. The "Medium" games and the "Hard" games are the same. So you can only play easy and hard games. I find this dort of thing frustrating because the people who wrote it obviously didn't test it, so hence the bad rating. I like that their are no ads.

Best Sudoku App. No ads. Just simple boards based on skill level. I like that it’s timed and mistakes are counted because it’s easy to measure when you get better. Too many apps put too many bells and whistles, unnecessarily. This app looks sharp and does the job!

Turning off sound. Would not recommend this app if you want to turn off the sound of your choice buttons as this option comes at an additional cost. This is a sneaky way of getting additional money from you.

No win games. I played for quite a while with solvable games. I had 3 unsolvable games in a row. There was no way to finish since the rules weren’t applied to the game. I deleted the game and looking for a more reliable one.

Best App for Sudoku. Like everything about it. Only part that seems questionable is their examples and explanation of “Y Wings.“. It’s different than anything I’ve seen

Unable to save game. It’s a great app but desperately needs save game option. Nothing worse than loosing progress overnight.

Great Tips!. Really great app for explaining the finer details of the game. Though there is a massive jump in skill from Easy to Medium. Easy is able to be completed in a few minutes while Medium requires advanced techniques like a Bug. Definitely wish there was more forgiving games in the Medium setting!

Great sudoku app but limited solutions. I love the that the paid options has “solutions” to help you learn more difficult patterns, but I am constantly faced with “22 known solutions are not applicable”. This is upsetting, as I still get stuck and have no idea I don’t know how to solve this level. They need more solutions, or levels should be created in a way the app can solve.

Can’t drag-select cells. Unable to drag-select a group of cells to label or make notes. I have to select each cell individually to label them with notes. Argh.

Seems only few game. Couldn’t change different maze

Nice game but very easy to touch the entry number vs the notes. To avoid tapping the entry number when wanting the notes number you need to slow down and look at the keyboard, the number lines seem too close together, thus causing errors. Would be nice to switch between them vs having them close together. Some games have one set of numbers on the left and the other set on the right, or only entry or notes visible.

Excellent!. No ads, nothing but the game. Best version I have found so far. If they want me to pay something for it I will.

Lacks a realistic progression. The levels go from easy to medium to hard to master to grand master. But medium and hard are really no different than master. There needs to be a more realistic progression of levels.

Good but missing some features.. I like the Sudoku puzzles this app generates but there are some features found in other Sudoku app’s that are missing. Some examples: Stickey key- pick the number 3 for example, then input all the 3’s without hitting the number again; Highlight- highlight all of the chosen numbers on the board, including candidates. If the number is already on the board, tapping it will highlight all instances, including candidates. If the number is not on the board, there is no way of highlighting the candidates, at least that I’ve found. This leads to; Instructions for using the app. Rules and tutorials are provided, which are really helpful, especially for advanced techniques, but no instructions for using the app.

Soduko Guess. When you have to “guess” to solve a puzzle it eliminates the purpose to play the said puzzle…

Just incompetent. I saved the photo of a game that didn’t have a solution. Incompetently prepared, and apparently not checked. Amateur hour, not worth paying for.

Irritating sounds. It would be a decent game, if not for the irritating sounds that cannot be turned off. Any chance correcting that fault?

Easy is too easy, medium too hard. Pretty much every game on “medium” needs to be completely pencilled in, then requires one or more guesses to complete. The “easy” level can be completed on one cycle of all the numbers. No middle ground.

Very user friendly. I love the easy way of making a notation.

Better than most.. The hard level is more like a hard+ and it does everything well except keep a tally of your best time and accumulated scores.

Sounds. Really, unmuteable sound is added. Even if your phone slient, you have to listen an annoying sound on each move.

Puzzles can’t be solved. Even in ‘medium’, the puzzles don’t resolve: you are left with about a dozen boxes each of which have either two or three choices. So it becomes a guessing game: choose one of the two choices correctly and you solve the puzzle: choose the wrong choice, and you get a mistake. That’s not the way Sudoku should work: there is always a logical solution and it should never come down to a guessing game.

Not great. The app doesn't gave you the option to save your last game. If you leave, you lost what you've done. Also, I was not able to choose my level (I seemed stuck at extreme expert.) And, they made the feature of adding note (putting a number as "possible") complicated to do ; it become more user friendly if you get the paying version. I have no problem at being limited, no bonus, no customization or having ads when I use the free version of a game, but willingly do a "not user friendly" feature in order for frustrated gamer to upgrade? That is low. Sorry, I'll find another Sudoku app.

Amazing Game!. This app is great. It is well made and the fact that there is absolutely no ads is unbelievable. If you love playing Sudoku this app is a must have. I never write reviews but I had to for this one because it is just amazing.

Best Sudoku all I’ve tried (No ADs and it’s FREE). I’ve tried lots of apps for sudoku, most are full of ADs or are paid. This one is neither, it’s a good quality free app. The only feature that is paid is the ability to see other people’s times for each puzzle, and for explanations of more advanced techniques. I’ve used the free version a lot, and it’s very good. You can use it as a go-to Sudoku app with plenty of difficulties to chose from depending on your skill level and motivation. The notes work great and the app supports automatically highlighting certain important information as you select tiles and numbers—such as showing all your marked candidates for the number you select. Since the free app is very nice, and I appreciate the work put into the app as well as the fact that it has no ADs, I decided to pay for the pro version. The only important difference is when I’m solving a Sudoku and get stuck, I can use the solve button. This button explains a recevant technique and highlights it on the board, so that I can lean how to do it myself. This feature is excellent for learning in my opinion. You can also browse the rules and techniques at your leisure in the menu. The only qualm is that the victory screen in the dark mode is a bit bright, and that the statistics are a bit vague. Perhaps this menu could use some improvement, but I don’t think any of these situations are significant issues. PS: there is a multiplayer option called “friend battle”, I’ve never used it (don’t have any Sudoku friends) but it seems novel and fun.

Sudoku. I can’t seem to figure out why every number I used was marked as a mistake. I want to clear the board and start new. The rules aren’t helping. I’ve played this before with no problem.

This App is broken. Can’t change the difficulty level

Bad app. Game generator must be messed up. I had 5 games so far that had bad sequences. 3 in medium, 2 in hard and 1 in expert. Unfortunately you don’t know until you are 70% into the game.

Score and quit. The mistakes should be included with the time. Not on separate screens.

Frustration vs cha-Ching!. Sad u have to pay for writing down possible number options. I can think of many other games I would rather play for 7.99!

Noisy. Having to pay a subscription to turn off the sound was an immediate uninstall for me as this game is noisy. No relaxation in noisy sudoku.

Cheap Tricks. Didn’t purchase the advanced app and after a couple of months the game had errors so you can’t win. I’ll never use this app again.
