Minimal and easy to use. It’s a simple clean app and I really enjoy using it. No distraction. The only thing which I really be happy to see is Email Sync. I don’t want to use icloud to sync and save the data, I wanna use my email. I wish you consider this. Awesome job and thank you.

Great and Simple. I was looking for something just like this. No ads and wonderfully simple. It also syncs well between my phone and tablet. This app is awesome.

Simple but works. The app works great and it's simple to use. I'd ask that the app be supported through multiple devices, so cards can be studied on the Mac, iPhone, etc. Also, it might be good to merge all of the decks together to make studying more comprehensive.

Mostly great. Simple interface, easy to use, and no adds. However, there are three things I wish were possible. 1. The ability to put note cards in a linear order (it automatically puts them in a random order). 2. The ability to flip the note card back and forth. I have a lot of similar note cards with minor yet specific detail changes and sometimes after flipping it over I get confused as to what the front said. It would be nice to flip it over once more to reinforce the knowledge. 3. The ability to put multiple decks together/study multiple at once. It would save me a ton of time instead on copying each card individually. The app is mostly exactly what I was looking for, except for those three details. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it.

Great simple app. Giving five stars because it's free and does exactly what it says. Very basic and easy to navigate. Some features I'd still like to see in the future are: - sync between devices - ability to study cards "backwards"--see the back first and guess the front If I'd paid anything I might drop it to 4 stars without those features, but it is free so I won't complain too much

Lost all my data with new update. It was the best flashcard app, however i just updated and its still loading, what the frigg i lost everything, a years worth of data gone. Frozen, and then i see its cloud sync, the reason i used it cause it was not cloud synced. All i wanted was the reverse to study, thats it, then it was perfect, and now all gone, thanks. Update it now works, it just takes sooooooo much longer to load, i feel like and idiot i gave a bad review yelled at my dog, sorry awesome app!

Flash cards-awesome!. You are able to place text on the Question side and multiple text lines on the "reveal" side as well. The app provides a great edit tool. The tool also allows you to create multiple sets of flash card sets. Each set has its own metrics tracking. You can practice on new ones as well (an option in the test section). For a free app, it is very versatile. I placed 20 items in the first set and plan to put 20 more. Also, the testing allows you to score correct/incorrect.

An Actual Flashcard App. Easy to use and literally just a flashcard. No annoying ads or clutter. It’s like having a stack of notecards, but on your phone. Helpful features like which ones you got wrong and deck shuffle. Definitely download if you’re looking for a clean and simple study tool.

Very simple and intuitive. I was a big fan of an old flashcards app called flashcards+. Then it was bought out by another company and decimated. This application is simple, intuitive and very similar, perhaps not in its user interface, but rather in all the features that I loved. If I could make a recommendation, it would be to allow turning over of the card by touching the card itself, as opposed to a button on the bottom called reveal. That functionality would be amazing.

Basic but good. There's no special features, but there's also no ads or in app purchases so it's great! Also I haven't had any glitches :) It would be great to see this app improve, such as adding features like being able to insert photos on the flashcards, or even a cute theme to make it more appealing.

Super Easy...LOVE IT...Thank you. Needed to create flashcards for a personal training certification. Wanted a basic, easy to use, affordable program. This is AWESOME. Only four stars because it is difficult to find/organize them. You can only categorize them as got correct or incorrect. But highly recommended.

Good with one addition. The app is very easy to use and straightforward. No complications. Great that it is free. It could be improved if you could to turn the cards around from time to time. To read the back and guess the front. In otherwords, go both ways would improve app and language skill. Nice app. Like the simplicity.

Love it… it works. I’ve had a three day crash course and had to remember a lot from my test. These flashcards that I developed have worked immensely. I love this and the best part it was free.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for making an intuitive, affordable, clean-interfaced app. The previous flashcard apps I was using were too confusing to use and discouraged me from using them but I really do think I’ll learn faster with this.

Gets the job done. It's free, so I can't complain. My only suggestion would be for people doing easy stuff, in study mode, allow a space to type in an asnwer. I don't see that ability and it would reinforce additional memory by typing the answer out.

Very Low Tech and Easy to Use. No bells and whistles, nothing to see here. This straightforward tool easily allows you to enter "front" and "back" text (and images I believe) and organize cards by folder. Settings allow you to configure your quiz practice in different ways depending upon frequency of review etc. Would love it more if it was multi-platform so I could open these cards on my iPhone or iPad when I'm not sitting in front of my computer. I'm much more likely to quiz myself on the fly on a more portable device. Overall though, given the "price" this product is a great service.

Great!. This app is super simple and easy to use. Other apps I’ve tried have been either full of bugs, expensive, or over complicated. Studying is so much easier with flash cards. Just a few things: first of all, the exporting decks does not work, and i wish that you could import as well. the app is not very colorful either, and I wish there were a dark mode. Just a couple useful extra features like that and you’re on your way to 5 stars! Even now though, would recommend.

So far, so excellent!. In studying Spanish I have used a number of resources including the spaced recognition system of Anki cards, and it is mind-blowing how many apps charge a lot of money for their flash card system. This app has been perfect, ad-free, able to do everything I want to need and it's intuitive to use as well. I love it!

Suggest. It’s the best app in this category but it could have been better if the reverse study was also possible. That is, first we saw the back of the cards and then we said the answer in front of the cards.

A very nice App. This is one of my favorite apps and i have recommended it to everyone i know. However, its a shame that we cannot edit the deck folder’s name after adding the deck names and the flash cards. Moreover, we would like to have the option of moving several card from one deck to another instead of one-by-one moving of cards. Lastly an option of adding mp3 also would be highly appreciated. These are some of the constructive feedbacks i have for this app. Thanks

Great app. There’s a lot of flash card apps out there that just want your money but not this one! The only other one I’ve been able to find is quizlet but it doesn’t let you put images on your flash cards ☹️ Thank y’all so much for this app it’s been a blessing!

Best flash card app there is. This app is simple to use and does what it’s intended to do without anything flashy over overly complex. I’ve tried several different flash card apps and this is the best in the App Store.

Pretty good; missing key features. I do really like this app for the simplicity and the ability to flag cards that you don’t remember quite well. However, this app is missing key elements: the absence of iCloud syncing, no allowance of the importation of like-file formats; CSV; which is the file format the flash cards are supposed to export with but that feature, at least in my experience, doesn’t work; no picture feature, no writing-to-text scanner Overall this app is largely a work in progress and I suspect this app will get much better over time. However, I cannot recommend this app because there are too many apps that can do exactly what this app does and more and are also free. (*To developers) If the development of this app requires funding for this app to be worth their time, please add a paid version so that these features will be added.

Great Overall; Few Improvments Needed. This app is generally good overall. It serves its purpose all while not requiring the consumer to make purchases or watch advertisments. A few new features would help to bring this app more functionality; for instance, the default is that only the front is shown first and you can't flip cards back around, so in future versions, it would be nice to able to study by seeing the back of the card first and have the ability to flip the card over as needed.

Nice, but unstable. This is a great app for making your own flash cards. Unfortunately it doesn’t allow for imports, so the cards have to be made individually on your device. I’m learning Spanish and creating a new card for each new word, so this is good practice for me anyway. However, you can’t search in your flash cards. The app just freezes. Even if I close it out after that happens, I may have to do it multiple times before the app will reopen. I do t k one of the size of the deck has anything to do with this, but so far I’ve made a little less than 100 cards.

Best Flashcard App for my needs. I found this app while searching for a flash card app that was simple and customizable without ads. This is the perfect app for what I need. The only thing that I would add to it is the ability to put sound onto each Flash Cards.

Nice app, especially for the price. You can now add images. I wish it also had audio but the app is still nice. Also the screen is not that horrible looking black (I guess it depends on how your computer is set up). My note card screen has a light gray background, and where the text is typed it has a white background. So far, so goo.

Greatest app ever. I love this app so much I literally could study in an hour just before test and it was great this app made things so much easier for me and I never had to write it on paper make me on Flash Cards it just made it so much easier I truly recommend this app for Spanish English any class you have to make many flashcards for.

Very helpful and easy to create cards and use. I love that I can create cards on desktop, and then use my iPhone or ipad to review the cards (and edit if I need) during my day. Adding a picture on front and back of card is nice feature. Developer: 1) it would be even better if I could do basic text formatting (bold, italics). Thank you! 2) is there a way I can share my cards, including pictures? This would be super useful, as classmates and study groups could develop and share cards.

Fantastic tool, make lists with libre office Calc and easy import!. There’s no reason that flashcards should be paywalled. I particularly like how easy it is to import .csv files from Libre Office and use them as flashcards!

Basic Goodness. Excellent! This is a great, basic tool for non-intrusive studying. I imported a bunch of my flashcards from a spreadsheet, added others as needed. Lets me test all cards, not studied yet cards (I have a couple hundred), or last answered incorrectly. Text size is adjustable, can sort, shuffle or reverse the cards as needed. No in-app purchase opportunities to distract me (thanks!). Not fancy, works wonderfully. Just what I needed.

Great!. Simple, straightforward, allows me to add images too. Really appreciate this free app. I couldn't work out how to start the quiz at first - you have to select the deck, then click on one of the options under Study (eg All Cards or Not Yet Studied).

It's a good app, but. Update: there is syncing now, so I am super happy! It's a good app, but it would have been great if it allowed syncing. You can't access your deck from anywhere else other than the original place you made it. ☹️

Feels like a first app. I appreciate the attempt. But... honestly this app feels like a school project (sorry!) that is bare bones and a bit unstable. If you don't mind a bit of frustration, it may (?) get the job done. I wouldn't use it for a big card stack (like French 101) Stability issues: Right clicking on text entry crashes it consistently. Tab doesn't work to jump fields. It's just kind of clunky.

Amazing. Amazing because, unlike many others, it performs exactly as described: the digital equivalent of physical flash card decks. No bells and whistles, no in-app purchases or upgrades, no advertisements, no ugly surprises. Creating decks and cards is simple, and they are easily edited. AND the program doesn’t crash every time you turn around! Sure, it would be nice to be able to reverse the cards, and shuffle the decks (and I hope that might be included in a future upgrade); however, at a time when everyone else is trying to monetize their product through subscriptions, heavy advertising, and deception…. This is a real gem!

Amazing app, I only have one request. This app is possibly the best flash card app I have ever used, and i recommend that everyone else start using it too. My only request that I have is to allow the ability to export or import decks with Images, as I want to be able to share my decks with my friends so we can all study. Very good. This app is very good, haven’t seen any ads, offline studying and it’s very easy to add cards in. although, i have one suggestion, there should be a shuffle option, some people memorize by order without knowing it, it would really help to study in a random order instead of just having it all in one unchangeable order. But overall, very good app, would recommend

Simple, Great, and Cheap. In a world where flashcard services like quizlet require you to pay $48 a year, it's refreshing to have an app that is a one time cheap purchase. This app does everything you expect flashcards to do, except I wish it had shortcuts like pressing space to flip the card.

Good overall flash card app! Just a couple things I would add. First off, this is the best free flash card app for studying. It is unlimited and free, which is awesome! I would suggest, though, adding a way to upload photos and documents so we can study photos as well. I personally would also like a way to organize the flash card decks into classes so that I can organize the cards better and search for the cards quicker. Other than that, this is a really good app for studying!

Almost there. The app is amazingly simple to use and the interface is amazing too. There is just two things this app lacks. Support for iCloud and to be able to import pictures. I really do not want to type on my computer and my phone if i want to study from either. Besides that there are no other issues!

Excellent, with Minor Suggestions. This app is very easy to use, has absolutely ZERO ads, and you don’t have to pay for extras. It has everything you need to study and organize your flash cards. I do have a few suggestions though. It would be great if there was a way to study multiple decks at the same time. It would also be helpful if there was a “Sort By” feature on the Edit Deck page, although the search bar there is very helpful. Also, just for visual hierarchy on the Edit Deck page, maybe use different colors for the front and back words, or maybe a different background color for one. All said, this is an excellent app, I’d give more stars if I could.

Perfect. Exactly what I needed and is free

No frills application and easy to use. This application is very simple and intuitive. There are no bugging advertising neither. I’ve installed 4 other similar applications before being able to find a simple flashcard app that meets my need.

Superb Flash Card App. This flash card app is really great and aids me greatly in my studies! The interface is simple and clean with minimal distractions. I suggest adding a button after you study all flash cards in a deck to instantly restart instead of go through the menu, or create an infinite mode. Additionally, a possibility to type answers out could help as well. Otherwise, this application is made really nicely and I will continue to use it! :D

This is very nice!. I’m wanting to get a skinny pig. (hairless guinea pig) and i am using this app to quiz myself to answer a bunch of questions so that i know, and remember a lot about them! and that i’m responsible enough.

Amazing. This app is amazine, I use this to study for all of my exams and its very helpfull. You can make diffrent "decks" with diffrent subjects for school or work. Would strongly recommend.

Free and simple to use (also supports dark mode!!). The app fulfills its purpose without any paywalls or complex UIs to navigate. You can use this app offline, which is the best part for me. Totally recommend this one because it doesn’t have annoying subscription ads or anything like that.

Truly amazing. First and foremost, thank you for making one of the most intuitive and useful apps, even among paid options. It has helped me an absolute ton. Secondly, I had a question/suggestion should it not exist already. Is it possible to combine decks or folders? I’m using the app to study a new language at the moment and have broken each chapter I’ve studied into individual decks such as nouns, verbs, phrases, and practice sentences. What I would like to do is to make a deck where I can combine all the decks of a chapter into one deck, or even combine all decks from all chapters I’ve studied already into one deck. Unfortunately, I do not see an option to be able to do this so my only option at this time is to make chapter decks and rewrite every card all over again. If possible, could you explain how I could do this, or if this is not an option, I would love if you could consider doing this in a future update. Regardless, I truly appreciate all the work you’ve done so far!

Learn by creating, not by using. By the time you create a deck you will know all the answers. Takes a long time to set up a deck and then has to be used from the same interface. You could not make some decks and then give your phone to a kid to learn. They have access to all the setup so it likely would be trashed in minutes. You should at least be able to export with photos in a user only mode.

best app. The app is simple and dose everything u need for a flashcard to fo. It lets you input pictures with the text which is good and allows to flip over the side which you want to study. By doing so it allows me to see a word and practice knowing the definition or see the definition and know the word. Its easy to set up and use which i like and the best thing it doesn’t require any payments. This allows me to save paper and always have the flashcards with me on my phone.

App is amazing just needs one more thing. I’m using this app to write down and review new words in Japanese I read or hear so I can go back and review them later. It is absolutely perfect and has helped allot. The only issue is that I have all of my decks organized by word type and I don’t see any way to combine them. This could be fixed by adding a study button to the main screen where you can select which devs you want to study at once or just by adding a study button to whole folders. I see this app is very old so I’d be surprised if you saw this but I’d be very helpful for me and my friends using this app. Thanks!

AMAZING. Quizlet is great (but you cannot add your own pictures unless you get premium), ANKI is cool but I just did not like it...THIS APP, is absolutely amazing. the fact that it is so simple, sections out which questions you got right and wrong, shows you your streak AND (my personal fav) allows you to print out your deck. This is the main reason i am writing a review becuase the fact that i can print out my deck in a nice formatted manner and just have them in my binder with my other notes is amazing.

Simple and awesome. Was looking for a simple flash card app. All the others seemed complicated, so much so that I started considering writing my own. When I discovered this one I concluded, this is pretty much how I would have done it. It just works, no gimmicks. Kudos!

solid basic flashcard app. Simple but does exactly what it says. I'd love to see improvements like being able to use tab to go from field to field when entering data, and the ability to flip the cards (i.e., reverse "front" and "back") for language learning purposes.

Needs Improved Control. This is a great app, super simple and easy to use. One thing that I find really frustrating however is that inability to use the space bar to flip the flash cards, or the arrow keys to go back and forth between them. If these things were implemented, it would make the app even more enjoyable to use

Love the app. Exactly what I was looking for. Simple, easy to use. I tried many others before landing on this one but I found them a tad too complicated to use with too many restrictions unless you were willing to pay ridiculous annual amounts. One small improvement would be to have a search capability.

Its great. Simple and easy to use. Completely free, lets you put picutres and write whatever you want. Also has simple and nice oraganization so you can keep all you flashcards in one place for a subject. helpful for final exams.

Great for Learning. This is a very simple app that I appreciate while I'm in university. It's very intuitive and easy to use. I like that it easily replaces wasteful paper flash cards. My only critique is I wish I could link the app on my laptop to the app on my phone so I can have the same set of cards with me regardless of which device I'm using. Other than that, very easy to use.

The Simplicity I Need. Couple things, though:. My only critiques at this point: I have clciked the bar that says "Tap to add card to this deck" for it looking like a button (sort of). It'd be nice if the bar with that text was clickable. Had to do some digging to see where the flash cards are saved. Would be nice if I had the option of where to put them so I could, say, place them on an encrypted volume. I worked around by creating a link (not an alias!) to where I wanted them to go: After installing the app, I deleted the folder "com.wegnerlabs.Flash-Cards" from ~/Library/Containers. Then I created a folder of the same name (com.weg...) where I wanted them to go. In terminal, I did `ln -s [path to desired location, including the name of the folder (com.we...)] ~/Library/Containers` to place a link where the app expects things to be. Voila! The cards were then saved where I wanted them to be.

No fuss no muss. Thank you Erik, for such a simple and hassle free tool. It is exactly what I was looking for to memorize chess coordinates.

The app is Good...But. What will make this app great. Is the ability to share your cards with others. 1. export/Import with CSV 2. native app link Anything for easy sharing. Also, an ability to construct massive list from an excel sheet.

Very good. This app is great; my only suggestion is to allow us to make groups for our decks. As it is, they’re all just sitting in a chronological list. This makes it difficult to study multiple subjects.

This program doesn’t work.. I entered in each flash card but when I try to replay them it doesn’t give the questions only the answers. I entered in 18 flashcards before I tested the program. It was a lot of wasted time :(
