An easy way to make an impact. This is such an awesome concept because it mobilizes people from across the world to make a huge difference from their phones. 10/10 would recommend

Finally an app that will help improve the world!. And it’s super fun! NASA has come up with a really clever way for people all over the world to help classify our coral reefs! This is a great game for both kids and adults - highly recommend!

Seriously addictive!. The pictures and music are mesmerizing.

Great app to learn & make a difference. Awesome app! It’s very straightforward to use for anybody, and you get to learn about marine coral and more by using; and simultaneously helping NASA to better map and evaluate the health of our Coral reefs. You get to paint color coding overlays onto detailed 3D coral plots of real coral, which is satisfying to do by itself, but also feels really good because the 3D data you are analyzing is real mapped coral and your submissions get sent to a real super computer which helps compile data and improve its AI through public inputs. All in all: a great resource to have fun and learn while literally helping improve data to help save the planet! -Thanks to the team at NASA working on saving our reefs, and the people who made this app! (I end up using this app for periods of 30 minutes or more because it’s so satisfying and borderline addictive to submit your work because you know it has a real impact. For most people, it’s seemly small actions that will contribute large scale globally: in the case of saving our reefs, which are being harmed by human impacts, everything little change or effort you make, contributes to a larger effort. SO PLAY YOUR PART AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE by just downloading this app!

Love this game but could use some improvements. I absolutely LOVE this game. But there are some minor improvements I would like to see: the ability to make all colors except the current color invisible/more transparent, and secondly a meter to show what % of the coral patch you have covered with paint so you don’t miss anything. Overall I love this game and I love the feeling of doing something easy to help out our oceans!

It’s so amazing and it makes an impact!. This is a great game to relax and enjoy while say, listening to music, or listening to an audiobook. The graphics are also very high quality, and it helps nasa learn more about coral reefs.

Buggy. I really want to do this project but the app has crashed several times and i lost my work. :(

My son loves it!. I thought this may be a way to simultaneously keep my son occupied during quarantine and save the planet, and it certainly accomplished both all in one! Super user-friendly design and fun to play around with! Great job!

Love this kind of stuff. I know it’s relatively small compared to what actual researchers do, but it’s fun to know you’re helping out in some way!

Fantastic game. This game is incredible. It’s easy to get a hang of, it’s fun, and you get to help be involved in science.

I wanna be a marine biologist. I just wanted to say this is such a cool way to engage the public and I am currently in college to get a BS in marine biology and hope to one day work to restore coral reefs through growing them on reef farms

Exploring. Love learning about the depths of the ocean from the safety of my sofa. Always interested and even thought about oceanography but settled in biology. Thank you for this!

Fantastic app.... Very educational app where we are able learn the eco system in real life in our comfort zone.. The way we progress and learn about the types of corals in different location on our planet is awesome specially the AR & 3D corals..

Play & Paint with Purpose!. Straightforward & quick to learn. Features a legendary female scientist narrator in Sylvia Earl! Play assists in supercomputer learning & an actual citizen science contribution…what’s not to love?!

Need more info for Tumon Bay. So I have been using this app for months. Not to be rude but this is a citizen science app not a coloring page for your toddler! If you cannot read or just don’t want to, please don’t think this app is for you! I keep reviewing transects for Tumon Bay. I don’t know why but I feel like a lot of the pictures are getting misidentified by users. There are some new classifications used in the Tumon Bay area that I feel people are misunderstanding. I had to go online to figure out what a fire coral looks like and I’m not sure everyone knows the difference between beach sand and underwater sand. when there’s an anthropogenic object I think that may need defined. It would be nice if NASA uploaded definitions for the new classifications specific to Tumon Bay. That way everyone using the app is on the same page!

Relaxing and helps the Earth!. I tell people I work for NASA now

Really great Idea. This game is a genius idea! This game lets you help out the oceans from wherever you are. It’s also really fun. Over all a really great thing.

Awesome!. I’d really, really recommend this to anyone! Please get this app, it helps to save our Earth’s beloved coral reefs! And, it’s enjoyable!!

Beautiful, relaxing, fun and educational. This app is amazing. I really enjoy it and am learning a lot about coral! One things I’d like to see added is an FAQ or place to submit questions. I’m confused about 2D mode - are we still supposed to paint everything in view, or just classify the main item? Also, I’m not sure I can tell the difference between Acyoniidae, Pocilloporidae, and Poritidae. I’d like to see more practice with feedback on classifying those. Awesome work on the game!!!

Nice Escape. I like having something to do with my hands while I listen to music or audio books and this gives me a great way to relax and still be a little tiny bit helpful to some part of the world.

Game with purpose. I love everything about this application. It’s a game where you can learn, enjoy and help save the planet even if it’s in a small proportion. The application does a great job at making you feeling significant in the journey to environmental appreciation and salvation. As a biologist, I am learning even more about coral reefs and hopefully with the data sent we can make even bigger discoveries! I even feel honored to be a part of such an important study.

Great concept. This is a great idea for a “game”. Help researchers identify coral, learn among the way, level up etc. the 3D models are very nice and the music is very fitting. There are some technical issues it seems though. Downloading data and loading data is not consistent and sometimes just straight up doesn’t happen. (It makes doing things like reviewing very difficult to accomplish). If those small things can get ironed out this would be an amazing seamless experience

Awesome! One request!!. I would love if there had been an option to have subtitles over the video, it would be very beneficial to people who are HoH or simply have the preference for subtitles

Underwater coloring book. It’s like an underwater coloring book! I’m very addicted and don’t want to do anything else but play this game

Great idea, great way to learn and help. Fun for parents and kids who want to learn about coral and help to better understand our oceans.

Very meditative. I’m totally enjoying this app. Your mind focuses on what your coloring and the background music is very entrancing. I find it an awesome way to block out the world and relax.

Wonderful Citizen Science. My daughter and I are connecting over corals! We're learning about all the different coral families and doing some peaceful 3D painting. We're still in training mode I think, but once we've done enough, this app will let us classify corals to train a machine-learning algorithm! Super exciting!

Great idea, happy to be contributing. Laid back and relaxing with nice music and ambiance. Rotating and adjusting view is a little awkward but I may just need to get used to. Unfortunately I can’t play on my iPad Air but plays fine on my iPhone. Recommend using a stylus !

Great idea, walkthrough examples would be useful. I think this is an excellent idea and fun to use app. This app could be made better, and the data higher fidelity, if walkthrough examples of coral classification and satellite data by an expert is included. Knowing how an expert approaches a classification and getting inside tips would make everyone’s time better spent.

Incredible. This is an incredible tool to help actually improve the world in which we live in. Training Nasa’s ai to be able to classify these reefs is such a valuable tool to understanding our surroundings and be able to assess the damage we’ve cause and hel us learn what we can do to reverse the damage before its too late

Fun !. This is really fun! I don’t usually play games on my phone but this ones going to give me a crick in the neck for sure. It’s addictive, but instead of spending time wasting time like most games, I’m spending that time exploring the oceans for REAL ! I could see kids spending hrs on this thing without so much as peep, much less a “Mommy” and they are learning too?! It’s too good! 👍👍 I only wish it worked on my old iPad, can’t win them all I suppose .

Great for all ages!. This app is easy to navigate and is educational while allowing you to contribute to such a great oceanic project with NASA. You start with a very easy tutorial and each time you Classify you get to learn about new parts of the ocean. And who doesn’t love to color!

It will be big. Amazing game! I know it will be big soon, and I know it. Short review, but I don’t care. Amazing game!

Overall good. A few crashes here and these but overall very well put together. Nice design, easy (for the most part) to control, and is good to do if you want to relax.

Outstanding. Such a unique idea and wonderful way to help with mapping the corals. Who ever thought this up is a genius!

Obsessed!. I love playing games and I love helping the planet - this is the perfect combination of both!! Together we can all make a difference!

The ocean will thank you for playing NeMO-Net. If you’re stuck home and looking for a convenient way to help save the planet, this game is for you. Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to just relax and put a few hours in to painting coral. The boat has lots of cool easter eggs on it too!

Excellent, educational, and environmentally helpful. This app is so much fun, and helps Nasa to study and go over data about the ocean floor. I love the app and give it 5/5 stars!!

Great Game!!. Easy to use, fun to play ,and educational all at the same time. I love that while it’s super entertaining, it also contributes to science and helps others to better understand our oceans and learn more about fish, and coral. It feels nice to know you are helping change our Earth for the better while also being able to have fun. :)

Enjoyable. The simple idea that playing this app may contribute to the improvement of AI used in the field to identify and catalog different forms of Algae is intriguing and makes playing more enjoyable. Fun for the whole family.

It is great. It is great I just started playing and I am already rank 6. I love the game! It is great for homeschooling because I can do it on my own and still learn about fish and coral. Age 9

Good app but stuck in a bug. There is a bug where the explanation for 2D painting won’t close and will not allow for moving forward. Can’t go further.

Fun and helps science!. I’ve always wanted to learn more about corals, so this a a fun, interactive way to learn a ton. It’s simple to use and enjoyable because I know I’m helping science through this game. Thanks NASA!

Wonky controls and system. Good game but I can’t get out of the green prompting 2D mode... getting out of the tutorial was also very wonky. Some bug fixes and this game will be nice.

LOVE IT. This app is amazing!! As a marine biologist I can’t think of a better excuse to glue myself to my phone. However, I’m experiencing issues when downloading coral. It says to be patient, but I literally was waiting 10 minutes for it to load, and it still hasn’t loaded. I’m trying to classify satellite data, but it just won’t load or progress further. Help?

Awesome. This is both easy, fun and addictive! And you get to help save the earth too!

Nemo. Neat app, but my fingers are huge and I might be better off with a pen ! Very nice experience though. Wonderfully relaxing music too

Loving the reef!. I’m a novice reef tank hobbyist. While searching for coral guide apps I came across this app. Really happy that one of NASA’s focuses is reef preservation across the globe. Corals are such amazing animals and true treasures on this planet. This app is in fact very educational and I really enjoy reading about facts of each coral type. Really happy to see many people who are passionate about ocean conservation joining this community.

Very informative and interesting. Educational game that also allows you to help map the corals in the ocean. Recommend this for all ages. I’m interested to see how this progresses and if NASA does expand off of it.

NASA Quality. Stoked there’s a way to conduct citizen science from my phone! Learning tons about the ocean’s invertebrates without even trying. Would recommend this app for all.

Educational. I like this app. I’m learning about ocean ecosystem. Working with nasa has always been a dream of mine so taking part in this citizen scientist project with them is really cool. App works good from what I’ve seen. I’d recommend it for older kids with attention to detail.

2D menu. It was really fun but I can’t close the 2D menu on the 4th (or 5th) classification Edit: you have to hold down the circles within the menu and it works just fine 😅

Excellent. Very difficult, but fun

Great game!. Really enjoying this game. It’s relaxing and challenging at the same time, and I’m learning a lot about marine ecosystems. Highly recommend

Great but can be better. This is a nice learning game and it’s fun that it can help for research but only if the game wouldn’t crash a lot. I got a new phone 3 months ago and this game doesn’t don’t want to work for me. I can even make the first discovery. I got a good wifi and an Iphone 8. Do something please. :/

Contributing. Knowing my contribution may support protecting the corals is very rewarding . Thank you for giving us the opportunity to participate in this venture ! It is unfortunate the app is not stable and shuts off a lot Bravo a l'équipe qui a eu l'idée de mettre a contribution la population. L'intelligence de l'homme pour bâtir l'intelligence artificielle :)

Very good. Very good game. Quite challenging sometime. Lot of learning.

Excellent. The game is a little slow to load, but it’s extremely well done given it is crowdgathering input to classify corals. I wish I had studied marine biology and I’m overjoyed to have the opportunity to learn. Its a great colouring and spatial orientation practice, it’s relaxing and one a day helps the corals in a way. :)

Got stuck at 2d. I can’t close the menu that tells you about 2d mode

Yea. Yea

good. good game

Save the Coral Reefs. I’m really loving this app/game. Help Dr. Sylvia Earle help save the coral reefs.

Coloring!. I’m coloring to save the world!!!!! ❤️

AWESOME. Mindless fun! Like a coloring book but SCIENCE!

Best game ever. This is the best game I’ve ever played! There NEEDS to be more advertising, because this game is great!!

Relaxing and helps the Earth!. I tell people I work for NASA now

Yeet. Great to help NASA

NeMO net. Mind blowing game! I got the app 1 hour ago, and now I am obsessed with this!🤩🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍😍- Mary Schroeder 7 years old.

Love it. I love this game. I really like NASA. I want to study space when I get to college. This game is amazing! 5/5

Does not work. Found this app straight from NASA website and sadly the app will not connect to server. Unfortunately the support email is not a valid email address. Bummer.

Constructive Feedback. I first off want to say thank you so much for creating this app and finding a way to bring valuable and productive activities to my literal finger tips. Just knowing that what I’m doing will help in any way with the oceans makes me so fulfilled. I hope this app becomes a blueprint for more apps that bring users into real world current problems and actually help bring about change. So I’m an 18 year old and a lot of the apps I use for entertainment are games. What I like about this app is the coloring and learning aspect. I just have some ideas about some graphics and the character aspect and also some controls. First I think there should be a physical manifestation of a character that can walk along the sea floor that I could control and that could stop when I see coral that needs to be colored (kind of like animal crossing). This would definitely keep me more entertained cuz now it feels like I’m just being given new pictures from a database. I would also recommend making some of the graphics more similar to games like Neko Atsume and less 2000s computer graphics style (I’m sure this is already being worked on) Stuff like the boat could be a place where a physical character can move around and the graphics could be more appealing and cute. For controls I also don’t like how I have to use three fingers to change 3D perspective because I like to hold my phone with both hands at once and don’t like having to lift one hand away. I know this is my laziness but I feel like a lot of my friends would agree. There could be a more seamless way to change perspective both 3D and 2D and still be able to draw quickly without having to use 3 fingers. I would also love to learn more about how the AI is being taught and how my pictures are used to teach it to see my impact. Again thank you so much for making this game and I hope my review can be useful ♥️♥️ you guys are doing amazing work and I appreciate so much that I can be a helpful part in it.

Great game!. What a great idea: a game that is instructive, useful, non-violent, with beautiful images of the underwater!

Great app. Love getting to be a part of real reef classification

Amazing!. This app is absolutely amazing! I love learning about the ocean this way!

Beautiful game!!. The music, graphics, and gameplay coalesce into a great, atmospheric game! 5/5

Can’t get out of tutorial. Love the concept - no way to exit tutorial to actually help

Relaxing, fun, and interesting. A nice way to reduce anxiety during these homebound times, while contributing to SCIENCE

Enjoyable and relaxing. Good
