Quality Calculator App. A vast improvement over the baseline apple calculator, especially on iPad. The interface is understandable and pleasant, and I can imput complex multi-operation calculations without worrying if I messed up order of operations, like on the apple standard calc. My only two complaints are 1) The unit converter is time consuming to change units, especially when it's often the same few conversions. It would be nice to have a 'Favorites' menu to save conversions. 2) It'd be useful to have a widget of the app so I can access it without constantly opening the app. Regardless of the two things, this is still the best calculator app I have used.

Amazing!. So far the best calculator I've used. Really simple but allows for complex calculation and lots of flexibility. Intuitive to use and it looks good. I like the reference area. And the settings are fantastic!

Text is too small and light on iPad. Wish I could adjust font size to be bolder and larger on ipad.. Needs to be more functional in low light and outside.

This is *the* calculator.. Coming from android to iOS, there was exactly one app that I missed dearly: algeo calculator. This absolutely replaced algeo (and is better in many ways), and it deserves to be noticed. From what I can see, the developer is highly active and responsive, and moreover he pledged to not require a subscription plan. There is no other choice: I’ve tried dozens of calculator apps in iOS and they all come up short, between ugly expression formatting, forests of parentheses to denote simple expressions, or lack of specialized functionality like linear algebra or complex arithmetic. To the dev: you deserve my money, but you also deserve my gratitude. Calculators are so central to so many professions, and having an excellent calculator app available is irreplaceable. If you’re wondering why apple doesn’t have a default iPad calculator app, it’s because they must be waiting to acquire this one.

This app is crazy good. This app has everything I need. Design and dark mode is beautiful, and the amount of effort in this app is visible. It has matrix operations, fractions and equation solver. With unit conversions! I no longer fear the problems in English units! I got here from a random Reddit suggestion and your app is just the thing I needed. How is this not in top charts! Get this app, it’s not even comparable to many I’ve had to browse through today! PS: There happens to be some inconsistencies in signs when you’re working with decimal numbers. The magnitude is correct but the sign is always positive. If you have a forum for bug reports, I can report this bug there, but a great app nevertheless

Finally! Better replacement for my Casio Scientific Calculator. Fantastic app! I've really needed a calculator for iPad that has a math mode to type out calculations like we write on paper and this nails it! This is the first time I found an app that will let me keep my casio scientific calculator to the side and be faster.

Very close to perfect. UPDATE: The developer freaking did it! He/she took my request below and added it as a feature. Love the app and love the support to actually take customer feedback. Just left them a donation as thanks and changed my rating from a 4 to a 5 🤩 I switched from Android to Apple and needed an Apple calculator to replace the Hiper Calc Pro I had been using. This is the closest thing I found but is still missing one of my most used features which is decimal to mixed number form (ie converting 2.4 to 2 and 2/5). This was EXTREMELY useful for woodworking and I hope they add this in the future.

Calculator I Was Looking For. Awesome app, I really wanted a calculator where I could type out the whole equation in line and this does a lot on top of that. I’d gladly pay for a small tip if I could unlock different background colors/themes and different app icons like other calculator apps have.

Very intuitive. Got working with it right away. Very intuitive and clean. Something strange was happening when doing calculations using the real and imaginary break out functions. Otherwise very much recommended.

An Excellent Useable Solution for Many. First and foremost, I’d like to thank you for developing the best iOS calculator for scientists and engineers. It is simply a joy to use on the iPad, and the features are invaluable. I’m a professor of Physical Chemistry, and the “constants” feature is a huge time saver. I love that recent constants are shown on top for easier access. Also, having the ability to build equations with fillable numbers makes this a great pedagogical tool and a quick way to solve problems using the same equation. I will be encouraging my students to consider this app seriously, and after my class demo today I’m sure they’ll be impressed. I have two suggestions. Saved equations and other settings (e.g. list of common constants) do not carry over to other iOS devices. This syncing is important especially if you’ve created a large number of equations. Secondly, it would be great if there’s an easy way to solve for parameter in an equation. For example, hc/L = 2E-4, where h = Planck’s constant, c = speed of light. Solving for L (wavelength). This is a simple example and I tried using solver mode but doesn’t work. Problems like this don’t need initial guesses. Maple on a PC and Mac does this flawlessly, but their iOS calculator lacks most of the features in TechniCalc. Again, thank you for providing a real useable solution to many people!

No real instruction manual. This could be a good app but you are left guessing how to use some of it’s capabilities. The reference section incomplete. You actually need to develop a user’s manual and then I could potentially give you five stars.

Best calc ever!. This app has intuitive beautiful UI, with well thought out UX flows I use this everyday on my iPad for college and it is worth every dollar. Thank you

Finally don’t need a physical calculator 😀. Finally an app which can fully replace a physical scientific calculator plus adding function which aren’t present on standard scientific calculator. Would highly recommend for anyone who uses a scientific calculator and has been looking for an app which achieved the same results.

incredible app. has everything you think it should have, and it all just works, no questions asked, no bugs. developer knows his stuff. yes it’s pricey compared to other calculator apps, but it’s nothing compared to a physical calculator, and this is leaps and bounds ahead in convenience. this calculator is carrying me through my engineering undergrad and I swear by it.

Would expect more at this price point. The app say you can use matrices, but not for all the dimensions possible. It’s bad because some exercises will ask you to have 3X2 matrices as an example. Would also need basics things like reducedRowEchelon this app is also complicated to use

A perfect calculator for engineering.. This is the perfect calculator, nothing else on the App Store comes close. I’ve been using it exclusively for almost two years as an engineering student without any issues, in fact I’ve had multiple people ask what app it is as it looks so polished and “built in”. Features like matrix operations and the equation editors are a godsend, and very intuitive to use after just a couple minutes. One feature I would love to see added is a way to export operations as latex, would make working on reports just that much easier :) . Overall a complete 10/10. Seriously cannot recommend this enough. It’s stellar and completely worth the money.
