Nintendo Store Comments & Reviews 2026

Stop bloat please. Please stop making brand new apps we have to download for things that can very much have just been added to the existing apps you already have.

Not even a real app. Literally just launches the browser version of the App Store in a separate dedicated panel on your phone. No options for filtering when searching. Very slow load times and unoptimized interface. Come on Nintendo. This should be combined into the Switch app with easy options to browse, view trailers and descriptions, purchase, and download, just like the PS app. It’s not that difficult.

History. I like seeing the history of the Wii U and 3Ds games I’ve played

Publisher search no longer works. When you look at a product page for a game, the link to search for the game publisher’s other games no longer functions. When single tapped it brings you to the general search page. If you tap and hold, wait for the pop up link, it will behave with the correct search result.

Why do I need to update this?. Every nintendo app requires updates in order to keep using. If you’re not up to date, it forces you to the app store. Ok? I don’t care enough to use the Nintendo Store app frequently.

Nintendo. Thank You Nintendo For Creating The Nintendo Store Mobile App

Really big issue. This app is causing my phone to crash. Specifically why selecting Sonia’s character info on age of imprisonments info page. Please be careful and Nintendo fix the app

Love The App. This app is great and I see what they were thinking with this app! But I think the Nintendo Switch app and the Nintendo Store app should be combined into one app!

Almost Great!. So everything about the app is what I was hoping to see for a Nintendo shopping app on mobile devices. There is one aspect I don’t like, which is that it is not a full on app, where it instead direct you to the website for most things. It would be nice to see everything about a product or game on the app itself instead of being redirected to the site. Additionally, I agree that there are a lot of the separate apps, and that perhaps that the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Today, and Nintendo Store apps should all be combined for an ultimate Nintendo app where everything news, information, fun, and shopping are all in one mega app instead of separate apps. The only one I say should be its own app is Nintendo Music, as it makes sense. The other apps, however, I feel could be combined!

Login Mess. As always Nintendo does something really weird and makes this app less useful than just going to the website. The issue is that it seemingly randomly opens a web page where you are not logged in — despite being logged in to the app. Nintendo needs to hire someone to streamline all of their online services. Clearly this skill set does not exist within the company.

This is just a web store. The existence of this app doesn’t make total sense. It just pushes me out to the web store. The ONLY reason I can think of this is so that Nintendo doesn’t have to pay Apple the App Store fees if we were purchasing content directly through the app instead of the web store. Great for Nintendo, but lacking experience for the consumer.

Pointless App. This app is such trash. It’s a storefront that opens their website. Might as well just bookmark the website if it’s that important to you, this app is pointless.

finally. been waiting

Just a storefront. Tapping on everything (continue to product page) just opens a web page. This should work similar to the PlayStation app where you browse, pay, and do pretty much everything except for account management stuff from within the app itself. Might as well save some space and just open the store directly in Safari.

Needs some significant improvements. This app is missing some important features. It’s got the basics in that you can view and buy games and merch but I honestly expected more. Why is it so hard to find titles that are coming soon? Additionally, trying to actually buy a game will bring you to an external browser. Lastly, it doesn’t show the updates from recent Nintendo Directs. For me to justify a separate app, it should do things better than the basic phone browser experience. If they add at least the features that are present in the Switch 2 eshop I would be happier with this app.

Making purchases. I was kind of hoping we could make purchases within the app, without being transferred to the website version. Kind of makes this app pointless

Nice idea but…. It just opens the webpage to buy the game, might as well just use your web browser.

Needs more sorting and filtering features. I like to go on the switch store to browse whats on sale. The shop on the actual switch allows the ability to sort the deals page by best selling but to my disappointment the phone app doesn’t have this filtering method. Please add, this would be very useful to me.

pretty decent. it works good and is basically just the eshop on the switch but i do wish it was just a part of the nintendo today or nintendo switch app instead of being its own thing

How come there isn’t a Kirby mobile game. It’ll be perfect for a Kirby game who will play just like a platform or but with cheap ads

Basic. Just a store, pretty good stuff you can get with the points.

A totally outdated app. As will all other nintendo apps, this one is straight from 2008: no iPad support, no liquid glass, a lot of web content. We can perfectly use our web browsers instead.

Landscape mode. Please allow us to rotate our device to view videos in landscape mode.

112 rating. In honor of Hollow knight’s 112 precent, I’m doing a 5 star rating

Almost but not quite there. Starting with the positives it’s great to finally have an app to easily access the store and it seems to be organized very well making it easy to find the things you’re looking for. The play data is a great feature but I do wish the 3ds and Wii U titles were up to date because it’s there but accurate passed 2020. Now the negatives are that this entire app isn’t apart of the main switch online app. It feels weird having parts of my play data like screenshots/videos on one app then log times on another app. While the store is nice, it just links you back to there website when you try to buy stuff making the process feel slower than if it was just done through the app itself. The pieces are there for all one great app like Sony has done but for now it’s all scattered across too many apps that are unnecessary in 2025

Hello. I use this app not to buy things, but to see play data. Don’t get me wrong, seeing my Wii U data is awesome, seeing the many demos played in 2019 lol. But can you PLEASE have the thing where it shows all dates that you played and the minutes for each day for Wii U/3DS just like how you do with switch. It would be awesome to see more detail for Wii U/3DS too! Thanks, Zane S.

Too many indie games. Garbage games on top of the good games and indie games. Mostly unfinished money grab games. They really do not test their games. Over priced games as well. Games people do look at is overpriced. Nothing but greed. These developers and companies ruin everything with their greed. I really don’t like gaming anymore.

Just the website. Provides some merit, with information about relevance of titles (like what directs games were featured in), but when selecting a specific game it just opens the website. Helpful if you already had it downloaded for whatever reason but no reason to download for yourself.

Activity log is back. This is what i’ve been asking for ever since the Switch was released. The activity log tracks all playtime for your games

Very good app. I hope you guys make it more smoother and remove the wishlist items that we already purchased and fix, not really a complaint but can we please have all your apps in one app, instead of multiple.

In Need Of A Major Overhaul. Most switch users want a direct access to the gaming library. To see what’s on sale, buy/etc when not on the switch itself. Why in the world are we redirected to an in-app browser? I don’t need to see shirts, and all that other nonsense. Split merch and other things that aren’t games into their own app. Nintendo please this needs to be switch games front and center. What’s the point of this app? If I’m constantly going to an in-app browser? It’s not impossible to have digital stores within apps, so do work on that.

Nintendo Store app is an awesome!. Nintendo Store app is an awesome!

Needs work. Not bad but they need to built everything into one app instead of having mutile apps and also the store is just a web app…

Great Alternative to eShop. I often find myself picking up my Switch or Switch 2 just to see what the eShop has on sale. This app makes finding the deals through my phone more convenient. However, one change I’d make to it is that games I purchased that were once on my wishlist still appear on my wishlist, which leaves me disappointed when I see there’s games on sale on my wishlist, only to find a majority of them were games I already purchased. If this could be fixed, that’d be great.

Notifications are Broken. The app itself is serviceable, and makes it easy to view your wishlist and purchase games. However, notifications do not work, at least not for games on your wishlist that go on sale. I just got in the habit of checking the app every so often because I have never once received a notification of a sale despite having them turned on in the app and in iOS system settings.

Kinda lackluster but I’m glad I can see playtimes better. It’s a web based shop which is kinda lazy and redundant for an app. If it just takes me to the site, what’s the point? Why not just go to the website??? I also wish more of these apps were consolidated, Nintendo u got like 5 apps now that could easily be just 2 or 3.

Why?. I don’t understand why Nintendo doesn’t just combine all 7 apps into one… there is no need to have 7 apps….

One of the worst digital game stores around. Nintendos store is the epitome of corporate greed. The games here are over priced and don’t even pretend to participate in competitive pricing. Do yourself a favor and sell the switch 2 for a steam deck.

Please support Apple Card. Overall it is good and finally able to skip the website. I would highly recommend your store to support the Apple Wallet since you are on IOS now. I hate to enter the card infor or have your site to store the card.

Could Be Better…. I love that there is an app for Nintendo Switch games. What I don’t like is that it is just like going on an internet website. You can’t make purchases from within the app. Don’t stop making this app better… it has a lot of potential.

Will not open iphone 15. I have an iphone 15 running ios26 now and every time i open the app and sign in it just immediately crashes. nothing i can do and not much else to try, only way i could get in was continuing not signed in but that takes most of the features :(

Hey guys. I want Pokemon new games coming to switch oled too Nintendo has enough technology to make them available for everyone mostly main Pokemon game series am a huge Pokemon supporter since Pokemon red and blue if you kill the joy on the switch oled too Nintendo will be done for me just understand am paying the online am buying digital games and I am tired of upgrading my console am paying almost 100 for my Pokemon games on the switch oled if you stop supporting switch oled I will stop support Pokemon franchise

Too many slop offerings. Nintendo needs to bring back their seal of approval. Everyone and anyone is serving grade A slop on the eshop, and it makes it difficult to find games worth buying.

Has some issues overall cool. It’s a nice way to browse the online store on my phone, and the activity log is very cool (although weird that it’s in a store app). That being said, purchasing seems to be broken inside the app. I was able to buy a few items on sale, but then I started getting “The requested page could not be found.” right after I enter my password. If I open up the page in my browser app instead, it works just fine. I imagine this is a cache issue of some kind, but I’m not sure how to fix that without deleting and reinstalling the app, which isn’t very convenient.

Why Nintendo?. Let’s be real, all of us will use this just for the play time feature.

NOT NATIVE. this app is great but i truly hate that opening items to purchase only takes you to the safari page and it isn't done in the app

Not Optimal. This app nearly broke my Nintendo Account. Its login screen is devastating if you try connecting your account.

Fantastic App BUT. As usual, too many notifications and I’m getting notifications for things I’ve never added to my wishlist. I might have looked at a game I get a notification about it being released or going on sale, but I’ve stopped checking notifications altogether because I see “An item on Your Wish List is out now” or “An item on Your Wish List is on sale”.

just tedious and pointless. what’s the point of having an app, when everything you click takes you to the webpage? this is completely useless, better to just go on the website.

Great app. Linking your old Nintendo network allows you to view what games were in your Wii U and 3ds library also having the ability to buy controllers/accessories and wishlist games without being on browser is super nice. Overall great app.

App keeps crashing. App loads for two seconds and then crashes

I LOVE THE LEGEND OF ZELDA AND FINAL FANTASY. Could u maybe add some merchandise for final fantasy? I would really like that and also the princess zelda botw plush is out of stock so would u mind making it in stock again cuz I really liked it. By the way, could u also make another botw type of game like since totk is basically botw 2 can u make a third one like that? Cuz I really love those TLoZ games

Nintendo Amazon!!!. Basically a Nintendo version of Amazon, which is awesome! also the best way to buy amiibo

Why so many apps. Should’ve put these features in the other Nintendo app

Why is my “on sale” tab at zero?. This app is totally glitched, As I was checking what was my wish list checking what games are on sale? It only shows zero results while in the all tab is perfectly normal. What gives? One star.

Good app, but needs improvement. I really hope Nintendo improves this app and makes it faster and easier to use. One thing that’s frustrating is being forced to download a game immediately after purchasing it. There should at least be an option to download it now or later. It would also be great if Nintendo could combine all of their apps into one, which would make everything much simpler and more convenient.

Great but misses the “shopping”. This app is great if you want to look at their products, but if you want to buy anything just use Amazon. This app doesn’t let you purchase from it, It’ll redirect you to the website. Which I don’t buy from websites. I hope this serves as a good review Nintendo Store Devs.

Wtf. ✌️🫩son😭, use the website and amazon💸💸💸💸💸

Most links lead to webpage. There might be an app for browsing titles now but anything you need more details for still opens in the in-app browser, which is not ideal and ruins the experience. Purchasing and viewing details should be available in the app and not delegated to the browser that I have to sign into AGAIN.

Very convenient and well designed. I’m giving this app a 5 star review as it now gives us a option to use our eshop credit on actual physical items like consoles and games and merch and much more im currently at $400 on my eshop account and currently adding more to it week by week so I can buy myself a second Switch 2 come Christmas time also looking forward to Metroid Prime 4 and many other games Nintendo products that will be releasing on this app cheers

What is the point. Bro just use the website

Just open the website. This is just a view that opens the products website pages. There is no value to have this installed.

Bad. Make this an actual app rather than making this a portal to websites. Useless

Functionality Sucks But I'm Glad It Exists. You should be able to use the app’s search, look up game details, and buy items for remote download without getting kicked over to the online store site every time. On top of that, the app still doesn’t offer some of the same storefront browsing and filtering tools the website has, which makes it feel kind of redundant. Like the Xbox and PlayStation store apps, I’m glad Nintendo has one at all because it does make discovering games and managing downloads easier. But Nintendo has a habit of turning straightforward ideas into something more complicated and, honestly, frustrating to use.

Make It Look Like the Nintendo eShop… And…. It’s all like the website. I click on “HITMAN: Blood Money”? Boom, going to Nintendo.com. Why? It’s lazy…

Excelente aplicación de Nintendo. Esta es una de las aplicaciones de Nintendo que más recomiendo a todo el mundo.

不需要加速就能用. 虽然有点慢但至少能用

Cool 😎. Very cool😎

Just a wrapper for a browser. Good initial UI and tools. If you actually try to buy anything in this app, you’ll be redirected to a web browser within the app potentially multiple times. This is a poor user experience and should not be the case.
