Good App, Feedback Below. I have been using this app for at least a year now. To me, it’s much easier to meet and keep track of the goals in this app than the Apple health apps. They recently stopped doing the $5 rewards, which was a disappointment, but I’ll still keep using the app anyway. The one problem I have had is that I applied for the Paceline Card a while back (at least a few months ago) and I was denied. I was supposed to be able to reapply after 30 days, but the app won’t let me do it. My credit score has gone up at least 30 points, so I wanted to reapply, but I can’t. Hopefully they can fix this bug because I would like to have the card.

I used to love this app!. This new update to their rewards system makes me really sad! I’m not in a place to open another credit card and they are trying to force us into it or else we get stuck having to use our rewards for discounts that those shops offer new members anyways. So this is very disappointing to see & I will no longer be referring members because I’m not going to have them be getting the constant “get our credit card” notifications when they get into the app. I didn’t fall in love with this app for it to become a credit card pusher…so unless you’re looking to join to spend money or open a credit card, don’t even bother downloading!

Mislead information about link a card. A friend has sent me a link to the app, and the challenge started at the set up… I was not able to do my set up since my email was already in use(not possible at all), so I have to open a ticket to have my usei solved witching 3 days. After that all was good, I like the challenge I manage to close my week and became eligible for my my first reward… I order to do that the app states that I should link a card… I was a little resistant but decide to do and that was when I was shocked the app didn’t want my card number, it want my account credentials, with my credentials anyone can, change my address, request additional cards, change my password, change my safety call back number, see all my personal information and on my case access my bank account since it is all linked together…I was very frustrated when I found out it was the only option and I also felt misleaded on what is really need to use the app… because at the end of the day… giving my credit card number is not that bad anymore.

Needs Apple Watch and Widget support. This app has great potential, interesting incentive structure to exercise and heart rate validation, but it lacks visibility. Fitness tracking needs to be accessible and flexible in meeting user needs. For me the app lacks two KEY functions: 1. No Apple Watch support. I’d like to see this added with the ability to see current eHR status on my watch face, ideally with multiple display options. 2. No iPhone/iPad widget. This data and eHR status is something I would devote phone home screen space to, so every time I use my device my exercise goal is front and center. Ideally multiple widget options for both small and large screen real estate.

be careful with credit card!. This card has great cash back as well as the Apple Watch credits, love the mission statement. However, I have had numerous issues with charges on my card (duplicative charges that support can’t see, late fees that weren’t paid late, no way to see your statement without reaching out, no payment reminders) and the Paceline team is less than helpful and seem to have little communication with the external banking team. I would close this as I don’t trust the card, but I don’t want to pay another $300 for the watch when it could get credited back, so I feel very stuck. And as others have noted, the weekly rewards are not that great (outside of the solid cash back)

Keeps me motivated. I love this app and even though some of the rewards are small, they’re FREE so how could you complain. I’m on week 8 now and keeping up my streak so I’m excited for my $5 Starbucks reward. The app works very well, it’s extremely easy to use, and if you’re already working out it’s something you only need to check on once a week. The way this app is designed makes it easy to incorporate into my weekly routine. Somehow none of my close friends have Apple Watch, they all have Fitbit and whoop so I’m disappointed I haven’t been able to share for the $5 reward yet but that’s ok!

Fun and easy. I thought I was missing something when I first starting using the app. But turns out it just all works. All the activity that I am doing in my data to day (workouts, walks, etc) flow seamlessly from my Apple Watch to my phone and the Paceline app. I love how my activity is displayed front and center. I look at it daily and it helps keep me motivated to hit my minutes. From there the rewards redemption is easy. Well done.

Keeps me motivated but rewards are disappointing. This app is really way to use and integrates well into my Apple Watch and health app. I don’t have to do anything extra for it to see my active minutes which is really nice. Currently have a 99 week streak which I’m proud of! Rewards used to be great and an extra incentive but now they’re a joke. $1 every other week, %off or $Xoff first orders. These coupons are all over the internet and some of the companies are a rip off to begin with. Oh but if you sign up for their credit card, you can get actual rewards. Felt like a bait and switch with the update. Still use the app but rewards often go into my email and just sit there 🤷🏼‍♀️

App has progressively gotten worse. I loved this app initially. The rewards were good for doing something you love. But every big update they implement, they make it harder and harder to gain rewards. I remember when I used to get a $1 gift card every week. Now, I’d have to go 2-3 weeks. And if your fitness tracker is finicky like mine is, it can take longer! I’ve read some of the other reviews with the developer responding about how they are improving, always trying to improve, etc. No, they are selling lies. The only ones that it’s good for is them by shelling out rewards less and trying to get more people to sign up for their goofy credit card. I will be deleting this app.

Really cool concept. I started using Pacelines regularly about a year ago. It was good for motivation. Had an issue with my older Apple Watch (cracked, dropped it into a lake) and contacted customer service so I wouldn’t lose my streak and they mentioned the credit card offers a new Apple Watch essentially for free as long as I get my minutes in. The $60 yearly fee wasn’t a big deal because you easily make that back in rewards. I’m not a big math guy but between the free Apple Watch, weekly rewards and the cash back that I get from my purchases, it seemed like a no brainer. I’m pretty cheap so you best believe I’ll be getting my minutes in each week. My other credit cards just motivate me to spend money at restaurants and travel, which is how I got out of shape in the first place.

I miss the old rewards. I have been a Paceline user since day one. I referred so many friends to join so they could also work out and enjoy perks. I’m quite disappointed because ever since they came out with the credit card, the rewards have gone down hill. It’s discouraging because to get the good rewards you must sign up for their credit card which isn’t something everyone can go ahead and do. I wish they would’ve kept rewards the same for non credit card holders and did something new for those with the card.

Get rewarded for being healthy. I've been a Paceline user for a little more than a year, and I love it. I think anything that promotes physical and financial health is phenomenal, but to also be rewarded for doing activities I already enjoy doing is a tremendous bonus. There aren't any gimmicks or gotcha's. It's a very simple premise, and it's completely free to use. I like how I can get discounts on things I'm already buying anyway, and I think it's cool to discover new brands every single week that I might be interested in. Additionally, the Paceline credit card is my new go-to. I get 5% cash back on things like grocery stores and gym memberships just by working out, and I still get 3% cashback year-round on everything else; that's far better than any other credit card that I have. As someone who cares about the intrinsic value of being healthy, using Paceline to get additional rewards for doing things I already personally care about is amazing.

Don’t Waste Your Time. This app used to be okay, yes, just okay. Now though? It’s garbage. It takes forever to get a $1 reward. Let’s be honest, most of us were probably here for the gift card rewards no matter the amount. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good “up and coming wellness brand” as the developers have described in their canned responses to the negative reviews, but I’m not here for a coupon y’all. If I can manage to get my last measly $1 gift card between the expiring points and how long it takes to save points up now, I’ll be lucky. After that I’ll be cancelling my account. This is a bad and poorly thought out update developers, and trying to spin all this into a positive isn’t working. Y’all should really be taking heed of all these negative reviews about the latest version.

No Longer Worth It. This used to be a great app. I’m extremely active, so I’ll take any opportunity to earn incentives for something I’m already doing. For a couple years, I was earning $1-5 gift cards every single week. That stuff adds up. Then, they redid everything—probably because the economy is trash—and now you can track your activity for weeks or months and still earn close to nothing. I see every single review is getting a developer response. I don’t need one. The app has gone downhill, and that cannot be denied. I’m very frugal, so when I need workout clothes, health food/drinks, etc., it’s more cost-effective to buy them other ways. There’s no worthwhile incentive for me to buy them through your shop, even if I’m given a $5 gift card every few weeks.

Sick of being sick!. After battling mold toxicity (fatigue, insomnia, headaches, weight gain and more) for over a year, I needed something to really get me back on track. Exercise is KEY to getting rid of mold but I was too exhausted to do it consistently. Oddly enough, closing the rings on the Paceline app was a huge inspiration and brought me back to my old self. Even if my body told me I was too tired to work out, the app inspired me to do it and now I’m feeling more and more like me. I also love learning about new health and wellness companies so it’s been fun to try out rewards. After a few months I tried the card too…and I’m obsessed with seeing cash back on the things I’m already spending money on to get my health back…groceries, constant medical bills and more! Thanks for making me feel like me again, Paceline!

Eye-opening joke. The ideal for credit card is supper excited, however, the credit card issuer is just a joke. I was approved two weeks ago and then tried to use virtual card in APP to buy iWatch, the transaction was declined. When I received physical card, I called the number to activate the card but found the card was locked. And I was required to send drivers license and phone bill to verify account. One week later, the card was closed by fraud department without any notice and reason. I found I am not the only case that closed for no reason, more cases were available from DOC. It’s just a waste of time for their product.

WAS a good app. I’ve really enjoyed this app I’ve been a member for several months and I currently have an 18 week streak. I’m considering deleting the app now though as it’s become a scheme to make people apply for their credit card. The credit card wasn’t even around when I first signed up for the app and now they want to limit users’ rewards if they haven’t applied for this ridiculous credit card that has a high annual fee. Also, they recently updated and took away the best rewards (Starbucks and target) so now you don’t really get rewarded, just encouraged to waste money on overpriced “wellness” products. This was one of my favorite apps but I don’t know that I’ll be using it any more.

Bait and Switch. These guys launched a credit card last year and have completely shut it down leaving many high and dry after promoting a free Apple Watch through weekly credits. Users aren’t getting reimbursed for remaining credits which is morally wrong. What’s more hilarious is that they are already touting a new card to be launched soon. My question is why couldn’t they just move people over to the new card when it launched? My guess is they are in financial straits and dumping their credit card program without a care for their customers or the companies reputation. This is beyond ridiculous why would a company choose to burn its users and in turn itself. Update: seems like the company was either unclear with their initial statement or relented to customer complaints. They are now reimbursing remaining credits. It’s still not a great situation overall but at least their doing the right thing with regards to the Apple Watch credits.

So disappointed!!!. Let me start this review by saying that I used to LOVE Paceline! I’ve had it for 48 weeks now, almost a year, and I used to so enjoy working out every week and picking my rewards. They weren’t big but they meant a lot and I really loved getting a $5 gift card to target or Starbucks every month. I was so excited to make it to a year and see if I might get a special reward. However, I am absolutely horrified with what Paceline has done to the app now. They’ve completely taken away the $5 monthly gift cards and instead are only pushing people towards their credit card. The only way to get rewards now is to get their credit card and then you’ll get $10 rewards. I absolutely loved Paceline before and I just can’t believe they’ve taken away everything in favor of promoting yet another credit card.

Love the app, but dislike the daily limit.. This app is great and most weeks I am satisfied with my chosen reward. I personally dislike that there is a daily limit of 50 minutes. Some days my runs are 30 minutes and others are 80. It’ll feels unfair that 30 of those 80 don’t count. I get the whole pacing yourself keep consistent idea. But personally I use this app to additionally reward myself for my activity not as a motivational tool.

It’s a shame it doesn’t always work. I go bike riding almost every other day and I always have my Fitbit tracker on a bike workout. My ride is exactly 52 minutes every single day since I take the same path. However, once I get home and sync my Fitbit progress to Paceline, I often only get 13 -20 minutes. Which does not allow me to reach my weekly goal. This makes no sense to me because my Fitbit was on tracking my workout the whole time and is synced. My motivation is dwindling because the app is not accurate and after having the app for about two months I’ve only received one reward because of it not being accurate.

Further from reward and less motivated. I’ve used Paceline for years and have been motivated to workout and hit points based on its weekly minutes. The newest update is incredibly frustrating and I’m less likely to check in and use the app. There is no way at over 1-2 weeks I can get the same rewards as the past and unless I workout double time I won’t get to the bigger rewards before the 24 weeks are up. I also don’t understand why there are no bonus points for working out multiple weeks in a row when they are already tracking your streak. I hope another update comes out soon.

No support, shady bank partner, charging. I received a new card and in app the card number is blank. After activation, it is still prompting me to activate the card in app for a different card number. The only phone number provided calls their bank partner who directs app issues to Paceline “live chat” which is actually just automated response and has no option to speak to someone. It’s clear Paceline and their bank partner have zero shared support resources or practices. Separately, I was recently charged $130 for a rewards error by their bank partner where they “over rewarded” over several months. As this was a system error, I’m surprised they clawed this back with zero notice or communication. It seems like they knew they were wrong and wanted to avoid the financial hit of admission. Overall disappointed in the execution of this company.

Rewards jsut keep getting worse. I’ve seen a lot of people say the same thing so I’ll chime in to say that I too am disappointed by the latest changes, and how difficult it is to earn decent rewards. I understand that the company couldn’t sustain the reward structure originally had, but this is barely worth it anymore. Also PLEASE fix the tiers so that people are rewarded for 250 minutes NOT 300. That is excessive and frankly almost dangerous to “motivate” people to work out that much. 5 out of 7 days is still a remarkable achievement and will not encourage people to hurt themselves in the hope of hitting a real reward in 4 weeks instead of 5.

Buggy App. The concept and the rewards are great for this credit card, but the app is very buggy and no one seems very interested in fixing it. In particular, the autopay feature doesn’t work right and after although the CSRs are polite, they are fairly clueless in terms of understanding and fixing the issues, other than say I can try to contact the developers and maybe someone will help. Maybe. The list of linked payment bank accounts can’t be edited. Once you add a bank account, you can never delete it. Even when it is deleted by CSR phone call, it still shows up in the app. And this is just to start.

Great app!. I have been using Paceline now for a couple of months. I found it through an Instagram ad and was very excited to receive points that can be used towards a rewards system for something I am anyways doing everyday. The app is great for those who need the motivation to workout and also great for those who either way workout and now receive some extra motivation through the app’s reward system.

75 weeks in and rewards getting worse. I used to really enjoy this app, it motivated me to close my rings. But the recent rewards have basically turned me off of the entire app. I have a 75 week streak and the rewards are all discounts on pyramid scheme companies. You used to get $5 Starbucks or Lululemon or Target every 4 weeks, but I haven’t gotten one of those in months. They only give those to app-users who get the Paceline credit card. Yeah, that’s a no for me. I’ll keep using the app simply because it’s still connected, but I won’t be going out of my way to meet the goals anymore.

Randy G. I referred my daughter over a month ago and no referral fee received to date. To boot, I’ve been meeting my exercise goals weekly since I first acquired the app 6 weeks ago and have yet to receive any rewards. Appears this has been due to having to manually resync with my Apple Watch continually to update weekly progress towards the 150 minute goal. This should be automatic and transparent once your app is installed - but it’s not. A lot of frustration for nothing.🤯

Used to be great. Now it’s a credit card.. Paceline is only a good app now if you get their credit card that has a $60 annual fee. It used to be that you could get $1 for each week of exercise. And you basically exchanged your data for it which was kind of sketchy. Every four weeks, you’d get $5. Now that they have their credit card, they’ve gotten rid of any real rewards. They offer coupons now. “20% off your first order”, etc. Don't they know that these coupons are all over the Internet? This isn’t an incentive. I could search for a wellness podcast and find these coupon codes (probably with better deals). It’s ridiculous. I don’t recommend it. It’s a credit card which is likely to increase your spending and debt. And if you actually use the coupons then you will need to spend and likely add debt. As a finance teacher, I do NOT recommend.

Great motivator, great rewards, and outstanding customer service!. I’ve been using this app for 9 weeks now and it has been such a great motivator to stay moving during times of social distancing! It pairs seamlessly with my Apple Watch, is very user friendly, and I love the rewards options. I also wanted to mention how great their customer service team is - I was having trouble redeeming a Starbucks reward and they really went above and beyond to help troubleshoot the issue and find a resolution. Highly recommend!!

1,000 Perfect Days. 50 minutes of activity a day for 1,000 days is my goal and I am at more than 500 already! The rewards are like icing on a cake but what gives me joy is seeing my ring close each day and being at the top of the list before my friends who are also striving for perfect days. When the credit card came out, I started earning 3% on everything and 5% at grocery and drug stores. I even get 5% back on my gym membership and for athletic wear - which is all I’ve been wearing since Covid. It has replaced my Amex card for everyday purchases. But most of all, even when I’m stressed or tired, wanting to hit my 50 minutes gets me out the door for a walk or bike ride or to the gym. That’s paid off both physically and mentally. Thank you Paceline for the motivation when I need it the most.

Credit Card Required. Downloaded the app and liked it up until I realized they force you to provide them with your card info. I’m sure they’ll try to list the reasons why they do it I’ve read them all before. It still isn’t reason enough to require people to give them private information. App users should be provided with a choice. Some rewards make no sense as to why my card is needed. For example receiving discounts or donating to charity:water. I can’t even just donate my rewards without giving them some personal information which is ridiculous and sad. Will be deleting the app.

Credit Card info. As I see most of the review I understand that this is a very good app. And i kinda understand why you need the card info but you can also function without the card info. Like some people have trust issues and maybe some teenagers want to use the app too but they don’t have credit cards or any cards. And their parents wouldn’t allow them to use theirs. Then there is no way to get any rewards. Please change this so more people can use the app because honestly knowing what we like is like barely related to this app.

Get the credit card!!!. I know there’s been a lot of negative reviews as of late about the app rewards change but you all should try out the card. This thing is amazing. Those $1 and $5 Starbucks cards everyone is complaining about are dwarfed by the dollars in cash back I’m seeing hitting my account statement every day...assuming I continue to crush my workouts. And the app is still pretty sweet. There’s no risk in trying the card so before you knock it give it a roll. You’re welcome.

What a honest joke.. I’ve used this app for a few years and was even apart of their 29% Apr credit card that eventually failed (figures) I thought everything was cool. An app that you report your workouts to for free gift cards just for working out. I don’t see anything better! Then recently they switched to a point system. The new point system comes out and you can redeem something known as “a mystery gift” Here comes a sad optimist like myself thinking I’ll get something decent for waiting a saving up for so long! Was I so wrong. It tells you your potential for something up to $140 in value. (I get what “up to” means) But after all the grind it felt like getting spit in the face. Like “thanks for falling for our elaborate scam to get you to workout! For your prize we’ll cover the taxes in our own store” Not worth the grind in my opinion. Reward yourself don’t rely on an app that’s trying to take your money to spend on failed products their investors think are “cool”

New Reward System Leaves Much To Be Desired. I used to refer all of my friends and family to the Paceline app. As a Behavior Analyst, the thought of reinforcing good exercise habits with high-value reinforcers (gift cards, health and wellness deals, etc.) was encouraging. I looked forward to hitting my streak each week, and couldn’t say enough good things about the app. Now that the rewards system has changed entirely, it takes months on end to earn a 3 dollar gift card to Target. The effort of the response that Paceline is now requiring in order to access rewards is too much, and frankly demotivating. If users never access reinforcement, or are not accessing it often enough, people will eventually stop caring, as evident by all the recent negative reviews… I hope that Paceline takes this feedback seriously, as I imagine Paceline will keep losing customers at this rate if things don’t change drastically.

If it’s too good to be true…it is. I downloaded this app and for 4 weeks, it was logging everything correctly and giving me credit for all my workouts. This week it just quit, was giving me zero minutes for the same type of workouts and activities as the weeks before. Everything is up to date, synched etc etc. after emailing back and forth with customer service, they will not adjust my points manually (even though the app says they will). They point blank told me “i completely agree with you that this isn’t the best experience and it’s a Fitbit issue” even after they see my “zone” minutes from Fitbit. I think they want to get you attached to their app and hit your goal then they take it away.

i have never been so disappointed :(. I have been an avid user of Paceline for over a year. Every single week I have been motivated to hit 150 minutes in order to get a reward. However, with this new update they have removed gift cards you receive on your 4th week. I unfortunately will stop using paceline after using this app for over a year. Unfortunately you guys have lost a huge supporter of what you do because you guys care more about promoting your credit card then what people want. It’s such a shame because I invited 5 people and helped promote what you guys believe in and now you’ve lost me along with my 5 friends. such a shame to see a great app fall apart :( 💔

Love it but not so much the new rewards or the new look. Paceline recently updated their app, changing the entire look of rewards and the actually rewards themselves. The new look makes it much harder to see what the rewards are and the new rewards are not as great as they used to be. I prefer to choose the rewards that donate money unless they’re offering Starbucks/Dunkin, etc gift cards, but the only donation they’re offering is Black Lives Matter. I am all for supporting black lives but Black Lives Matter is proven to be not a good foundation to donate to to support black lives. They used to have a tree planting foundation and feed America, both of which I loved to donate to, but now they’ve changed it and I miss the other donation choices. Please bring them back.

Love this app!. This app rewards people who are regularly active with free products, gift cards, and discounts to companies who offer both unique and familiar products. As someone who works out most days, it is exciting to earn these rewards each week, and when I’m lacking motivation this app provides me with the extra push I need to get active and moving. No gimmicks or buy-ins involved either. I have had this app for about a year and have already accumulated over $300 worth of free products. Definitely recommend!

Great concept, mediocre app. The concept of the app is great: encouraging folks to exercise. The rewards are so-so. The app itself is not that great. While it’s easy for the user to use, the app often kicks your device off and you have to reconnect it many times a week OR it doesn’t even update your minutes despite going through the effort of reconnecting. The syncing feature is faulty and incredibly frustrating. I’ve had several weeks where I missed out on continuing my streak because it didn’t count my minutes. I’ve had this app for less than a year and have had to reach out to customer service a couple of times. Their customer service is great but I don’t need to talk to them that frequently. It has the potential to be great but the kinks need to be ironed out.

Change in Rewards. I’ve been using this app for over a year, and it really helped me stay consistent at the beginning of my workout journey. Now that the rewards have changed from weekly redemption to point accumulation, I’m annoyed. It gets rid of that rewarding feeling you get at the end of every week where after hitting those 150+ workout minutes. When you’ve hit those minutes, you can’t do much with them and have to wait to redeem them until you have enough points to purchase something. Also, different rewards have different purchase amounts… before everything was 150+ workout minutes. Also, seems like the points I was given to start are totally arbitrary. Can’t even see how I’ve earned them because the total points I have is different than what I’ve earned in eHR minutes.

Don’t download. Let me start with I used to love this app. I’ve had it for 2 to 3 years and throughout that time, I recommended it to so many people. But a couple months ago to the app went through an update and the rewards have been trash sense, I don’t even claim them anymore. And the only way to get a reward that’s worth anything it’s a sign up for there credit card, which I personally feel is a complete scam. Not sure who was the decision maker behind that but personally would rather pay a yearly membership for like $15-25 bucks for them to earn profits then sign up for a credit card??? I have since stopped recommending others to download & will likely be deleting the app. Good while it lasted!

Not Healthy. For an app that boasts about encouraging people to be healthy, the new point system spits in the face of that. Points may only be accrued for a maximum of 24 weeks. The “best” redemptions require a person to hit 300 minutes of exercise per week for 24 consecutive weeks. With a maximum of 50 minutes per day, that is 6/7 days of elevated heart rate training for an excessively consistent period of time. As someone that has trained for health and fitness over the last decade, I can tell you that I have never kept to that kind of schedule and would find it impossible to obtain with that level of regularity. Rest is important and the fact that this app is implicitly discouraging rest by gamifying the rewards to this extent shows that the developers are out of touch with their product and user base. I get that it’s expensive to offer any meaningful rewards but if you’re going to make a change to a point system like this, at least make it obtainable without being potentially harmful.

Go back to old rewards. I’ve been a user for over a year now and enjoyed Paceline, the recent changes in the reward system are super disappointing and I don’t like that it makes you get a credit card just so you can get better rewards. While i understand the need to change and “upgrade” their reward system it’s not something I would continue to do they already make you give out your account information just to get rewards and now they want you to get a credit card, super disappointing. This is the first ever review I ever leave and it’s due to Paceline being one of my favorite apps to completely fall off, will be deleting.

Used to be a good app. This used to be a good app where the average exercising person could earn rewards. However, now the rewards are only for those willing to exercise a LOT of minutes. Otherwise you only get rewarded with discounts to things you could get a discount with using Google. The points awards you accumulate expire. So you really never get a big reward. I’m probably going to delete the app. I kept hoping they’d go back to the old format or make some small awards the average working mom could obtain, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to change.

Unfair. I loved using this app and getting rewards for exercising. I used it every week and managed to get a 16 week stream going. Now that I’m pregnant, however, it’s not counting my minutes the same way because I’ve had to modify my workouts and not raise my heart rate as much for as long. I wish there was an option to update my profile and make that modification. I work out four to five times a week for a minimum of 35 minutes. A majority of my workouts do get my heart rate past 130 bpm, but not for an extended amount of time. Most days the app only counts my workouts as 20 minutes if I’m lucky—even though my Fitbit recognizes that I achieved the active minutes. It makes it really hard to make it to the 150 minute goal. I’d have to do multiple workouts a day or longer workouts with harder intensity (not recommended for pregnancy) to make it every week.

Run (no pun intended) towards this app and card!. This app is PERFECT for both parties new to fitness and those trying to start a fitness routine. I’ve been on both ends of the coin and more so recently, on the side trying to build a regime again. The PaceLine app with its badges and streaks is super motivating. It ensures I get my workouts in and because I’m working out, I’m eating right. I get rewarded for that TOO with the cash back I receive from making my health and wellness purchases with the PaceLine credit card (food, gym membership, etc!) really a win win! I highly recommend this app to anyone trying to change their lifestyle and get rewarded for it. Also, the credit card is so cool, I always get asked about it when I pull it out at the register!

Amazing Concept, Poor Execution. I’ve used this app for years and would share it with anyone I could. I LOVED the concept of paying people to increase their activity. I loved hitting my streak and earning my giftcard. I shared it with so many friends, family and others in the fitness community. When they launched the credit card I thought it would be an extension of the company, offering a free Apple Watch (with limitations it doesn’t cover the cost of the band), 5% cash back on health and wellness purchases (groceries included) when you hit your streak, etc. I figured I’d earn back the annual fee with my cash back rewards and so I decided to give it a go. However, they just turned it into a money grab for themselves. Reducing the referral reward amount, unless your referral got the credit card and taking away the giftcard rewards unless you’re a card member (and reducing the reward tiers for that matter). I was excited about a company that wanted to move forward and promote health and wellness but instead they turned it into another dead end app.

Avoid!!! Doesn’t work. Downloaded this app to figure out what the heck it does / how it works since info is scant on the website. Super glitchy sign up and then login experience (app kept crashing). When it was finally set up, my entire Fitbit dashboard was messed up - metrics disappeared and I am working through Fitbit to fix the issue or otherwise replace the device since they have no idea what’s going on since this app was installed. On top of that, though I gave permission to all my data and metrics, the Paceline app isn’t syncing. So I’m not even getting credit for my activity this morning despite having signed up and messed up my Fitbit device. HARD PASS

Great app but wish there was one more thing. I love this app been using it for months. I just wish the app had a way to delete used or redeemed rewards because after awhile the rewards pile up and I find myself forgetting which ones have been used and which haven’t. It is just an inconvenience not something that ruins the app.

Surprised by how much I enjoy this app. I initially downloaded this app because of the incentive of making a tiny bit of extra money. But what I didn’t realize is how motivated it would make me. I work all week to hit my weekly goal. I’ve only missed it once! The rewards aren’t like amazing but I am really loving this app. Hopefully the added motivation will help me reach my goals!

Best Product and Card Ever. I have been on Paceline for 100+ weeks now and not only has it changed the way I think about exercise—I am not far more consistent than I have ever been before—but I now associate my spending habits and financial life with much better, healthy habits as I think a lot about how my holistic health is improved by better physical and financial habits together!

Rewards are now garbage. I’ve been a Paceline user for a few years now, and used to really enjoy the bonus rewards for the work I do anyway. But, they changed the system recently, and it’s just a joke. You have to earn something like 24,000 points to get a measly $5 gift card at Starbucks. The vast majority of rewards, though, are just discounts for a lot of products you probably wouldn’t buy anyway.

The Rewards Are So Disappointing. I’ve had this app for a while and I used to love it, but recently they changed the rewards. Nearly all the “rewards” which are just glorified coupons require you to spend money in some way so their tag line “we believe you should be paid to be healthy” is definitely false advertising now. If they bring back the $5 target and Starbucks rewards I would definitely recommend downloading it, but for now I will be deleting the app!

What a shame. This app went downhill, and as you’ll see from reviews below, they’re now trying to get you to sign up for their credit card! In fact, the only way to get rewards that longtime users used to get is if you open a credit card. What a shame. I’m sick of the credit card pitch at every store and now we get it from apps. I will not be editing my review this time because of the guilt the company will try to make me feel when they reply to this comment tomorrow justifying their change in rewards. Do better. You had a fantastic concept and you blew it.

Great support. I didn’t notice my phone disconnected from my watch after an update, and wasn’t getting updates on the app. I contacted Paceline and they helped me right away, 5pm on a Friday night! I added pictures from my watch and they were able to manually update my eMinutes, which helped continue my streak.

Great but cheating. Don’t get me wrong, I love free money— who doesn’t?! I’ve earned 2$ so far and I love that the money never “expires”. UNFORTUNATELY the downside of this app is that it does cheat your minutes of exercising. For example, I am walking right now at 40 minutes but the Paceline app says “20”. It’s like they half your minutes so that you won’t earn so much money. I guess that just means more motivation to go longer but it’s cheating.

Privacy concerns. To get straight to the point: I downloaded this after seeing someone recommend it on Insta, but deleted it immediately after reading they require you to link your credit card to gain access to your data. This company claims that they require you to link your credit card so they can see where you shop & how much you spend with each merchant, stating this helps them determine future promotions, but without an option to opt-out of this feature, it seems and feels like a complete violation of privacy and data. No, thanks.

BUG upon CC SIGNUP. When entering address, if address state (e.g., New York) is auto filled by Apple’s saved address function, I can’t click onto the next page. Neither can I go back and restart process. Resolvable upon closing app and restarting CC Signup process, but it’s tedious and can reduce number of CC signups.

Getting a step closer to my health goals each day!. I have been using the Paceline app for almost 2 months now and love how it keeps me motivated to complete an exercise every day. When it comes to achieving a health goal, consistency is key and the Paceline app makes it super easy to stay consistent. The rewards are diverse and I get to learn about new brands each week. Happy to have come across this app!

Awful update. They’ve completely changed how rewards work, and now not only is it ridiculously hard to get anything worthwhile, but the points that should be added to my account aren’t even there? If you’re going to completely change how rewards work, at lease make it functional? Contacted support about the issue and they said it should be resolved and it remains unresolved. No knocks to the customer service rep, she was lovely, but the app itself it barely worth it anymore even if it functioned as it was supposed to.

Ruined by updates reward system. This app used to provide a fun, motivating approach to maintain consistent exercise. With the update, it would take at least a month to earn as much as you used to in a week (literally a single dollar). I see the developers responses trying to pretend like this is better as it isn’t an all or nothing approach- but the massive amount of time it takes to build up to a subpar reward makes me much more likely to go the nothing route. Such a shame that they ruined their app and user trust/relationships over some crappy brand partnerships.

Used to be 5 stars. I remember when I first downloaded the app the rewards were SO much better. Lululemon gift cards, Nike gift cards and even Adidas I believe. You didn’t need a special membership or product to get access to these great brands, you just had to record your exercise minutes. The toughest part was remembering to open the app once a week, to ensure your minutes were recorded. It’s a great idea, there’s just not a lot of motivation to keep using the app personally. Especially when I have to put in sensitive information that could get stolen/leaked.

Used to love this app. I have watched the rewards become less and less over time. Most of the current “rewards” are coupons you can find anywhere. Now, on the 4th week of your streak, you get essentially no reward unless you sign up for their credit card. I looked forward to my $5 target reward once a month. I understand switching to different companies periodically for the rewards, but they took the $5 bonus away all together. It’s sad and they will lose a lot of users over this.

Loving the credit card!. I earn boosted cash back just for doing the workouts I’d already be doing! This card is quickly becoming the one I reach for over others, in general. Plus, the rewards in the app alone are a great way to discover new brands and get discounts and samples!

Asking for bank info now. And I had to use Paceline for quite some time and was enjoying it and then I had some health issues where I couldn’t exercise for a time. I guess during this period of time they have changed asking for a card to asking for your bank account login info so they can access everything. No way. I had really enjoyed this app before but I am not sharing all of my banking information. That seems a little sketchy to me. Things have gone too far. Looks like they’ve dropped me until they get that information.

Motivating app with tons of potential. The focus on weekly exercise streaks motivates me to be more active over time. And paired with the credit card and 5% cash back makes this a really appealing platform combining personal health with personal finances. The rewards are a nice aspect, but some of them aren’t quite for me, which is fine. Four stars will move to five when the health and activity tracking parts of the app improve.

GENIUS. This app is genius. It’s giving me free gifts to do things (workout) that I was already doing! Activity connectivity could use some work because I do think it doesn’t always capture everything - but it doesn’t effect my earnings

Love it!. Just finished my first week and redeemed my Starbucks gift card! It was very easy to add the card to my existing Starbucks app. I had some trouble signing up and had to contact Paceline customer service. They quickly got back to me within a few hours! This app is a great incentive to help form the habit of working out.

App is not linking with my time. I’m on my 34th week and I keep noticing the higher I get up in the weeks the more difficult it is for the app to synch with the time I spent on the bike. I did 71 mins today and it only said I did 11 mins. Why is it when the more you progress each week the minutes don’t want to register? And my phone and watch is up to date so I’m not understanding why this happens a lot.

SCAM!. Beware this app is a scam. I sent out four referrals all of the people that I referred finish their streak, and claim the rewards for that week. They refused to give me and the people I referred the gift cards that they promised, and now are saying that we need to claim rewards within 45 days which is impossible because they limit the number of points that you can get per week. Don’t waste your time because the rewards aren’t even worth it. All the positive reviews are from themselves look at all the bad ones. They are all consistent with same information.

Cool new update with points. They updated to a point system which I Iike there are way bigger prizes now and I am motivating to not break my streak and keep my points active to earn the big prizes. Free app that helps me stay motivated when I don’t feel like working out and so easy to use

LOVE THIS APP. this app has helped me become more motivated to workout!! it is completely safe to link your card, and you can choose what reward you want at the end of the week. I just finished my 3 week streak and i’ve only been getting 1$/week instead of 5. I’m not sure if that’s what is supposed to happen, or if i haven’t been doing it long enough to get 5$/week. Either way, I still completely love this app and i’m so glad my friend told me about it!

Too Much Risk. Would love to recommend and keep using this App, but the fact that you have to input bank account information is just too risky for me. It’s one thing to require a credit card link, but when I started that process the site that you use, I think it’s called “patch” is asking for my bank account number and password. It’s one thing to ask for a credit card number and info but I am not going to give you access to my bank account.

Change in reward quality. I initially really liked this app since I workout regularly and it does definitely motivate me on slower weeks. However, when I first downloaded this app, they advertised as giving away $10 rewards quarterly if you kept up your streak. Recently they changed the app, and I’m now on a 15 week streak and have never seen the $10 rewards. Now most of the rewards are simply coupons which isn’t really appealing to me.

A Huge Step Backwards.. I used to LOVE Paceline. I really looked forward to getting my eHR minutes every week and picking a great reward. I have a 13 week streak going! I was committed. But now, they’ve taken away all the good rewards including all gift cards. Now it’s just a bunch of horrible offers for nonsense products no one needs from “wellness companies” or the promise of better rewards if you sign up for the credit card (with a high interest rate no less)! It honestly feels like a bait and switch on Paceline’s part.

Super fun, literally rewarding and user-friendly. I love this app and check it everyday! Motivates me to workout and I’m literally rewarded outside of the working out for doing my body some good. Really easy to setup, so fun and a user-friendly interface. Loving the new rewards that have been rolled out!! Highly recommend. 💪🏼

Easy to use, great rewards!. Super easy to use and connects seamlessly to watch to verify minutes. Card linked is never charged, only used to verify account is an actual person and explore interests to offer better rewards. Free Starbucks for working out as I would anyway?! Sold. Thanks!

Really login into my bank account?. First it made me change my Fitbit password which I have had for years, then it asked me to link a card by loging into my bank account. This is crazy to me! I did not feel comfortable doing that part, so unfortunately that was the end of my experience with this app. There are lots of apps out there that give you free rewards and you do not have to provide your bank account login info to receive them. So disappointing!

Wish it would allow other watches. I used this app for about half a year with an Apple Watch. The watch was old so I got a new type of watch that’s more running oriented and much cheaper. The brand is COROS. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t pair with this brand, only with Apple Watch, Garmin, and Fitbit. My watch is paired with the Apple Health, but it doesn’t work since I didn’t buy another Apple Watch. I loved this app until I got a new watch. Very disheartening.

Bummer. I used to love the Paceline app because I felt like I was earning legit rewards for the workouts I do ($5 to Starbucks, target, etc) but now they’ve taken away all of the rewards that were worth the effort and all of the options now are codes for discounts on things that are insanely expensive (half the time the product sites are offering the same or better promotion without paceline codes). I don’t even care to scroll through the rewards most of the time anymore.

Disappointed. Been using this app for almost 2 years and referred many people to using it as well. Really disappointed in the decreased rewards-no longer able to earn $1 every week and no longer able to earn the $5 reward every 4th week (can only access $10 reward if you hold a credit card) and no that does not entice me to get the credit card. Definitely not as fun or motivating anymore. Probably will just delete the app at this point.

Gone downhill. When I first starting Paceline, it was great, you could earn $1 each week in gift cards, and every few weeks $5. Then they changed it to $1 every two weeks, no chance for $5 gift cards. Now, they changed it again, it takes 3-4 weeks just to earn a $1 gift card. The rewards system has gotten progressively worse each time. It’s honestly not worth it. Although I exercise regularly, it just stinks that they keep changing their rewards system every few months.

Gift card not working. I am very disappointed and upset with this app. After 12 straight weeks of working out I was very excited to redeem my $10 gift card. I redeemed my gift card and a week later I tried using it, only for them to tell me that the promotion is invalid. Additionally, my friend who redeemed the Whole Foods gift card also received an invalid gift card. It is extremely disheartening that after working out for 12 straight weeks the gift cards they give you don’t even work.

Skeptic to believer. I was weary about this app, worried to give my credit info thinking it sounded too good to be true but if been using it for 5 months now and have collected and earned $181 in gift cards & product deals! My friends with androids are jealous it’s not available on google play yet haha

Rewards are “Meh…”. I used to think this app was worth it before they made some changes in the last few months. Now the rewards are all for companies I’ve never heard of, or for companies whose products are so expensive that the reward is hardly worth anything. It’s somewhat of a motivator to get 150 minutes of activity in a week, especially on busy weeks where it’s harder to get to the gym, but it’s rarely worth the reward in the end.

Love app and concept, but bug is starting to annoy. Paceline team, please fix the card relink issue. Both my wife and I have to update the credit card link 1x per week, when the actual credit card hasn’t changed. Everything else is great though. Update **Appreciate the developer response to solve!

No longer fun. I was 100% obsessed with Paceline since I first downloaded it- 5$ starbucks giftcards every 4 weeks? HECK YEA! However, this is no longer the case. There are no Incentives anymore. 50% off this or 10$ off AFTER you spend this much on something i’m not going to buy in the first place, isnt fun. I am still going with the weekly minutes, but since july, have just been stacking my streaks because nothing is worth it anymore. Sadly, my friends are no longer excited either and don’t even want to download the app. Bring back the 5$ giftcards :(

Cash back for running!. The credit card is the best part. I get from 3% to 5% cash back just for running a few days a week. A whopping 5% back at grocery stores like Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods! You don’t even have to run: walking will work, too!

The best app out there!!. An app that encourages you to workout and helps you save money?! I couldn’t think of a more genius idea! Only 150 minutes a week to reach your goal. It’s do-able, gets you off the couch when motivation is lacking! I encourage everyone to get this app!

Motivating and rewarding. The only thing better than losing weight during the holidays is getting extra money to do it. Paceline card rewards you with the best unlimited cash back rate in the market if you can achieve exercise targets. I’ve hit the target every week and feel really happy about the results both financially and healthwise.

Not so rewarding. The rewards used to be great, and I thought the idea was good too— It was really motivating! You could get $5 to Target or Starbucks every 4 weeks. They made changes to the rewards offered, and no longer offer those rewards, or many other useful ones. Most of the rewards now are money off of a purchase. The best rewards (the only ones worth getting), are only available to cardmembers, and to be a cardmember, there is an annual fee. Wish they would bring back the old rewards! I am honestly embarrassed that I recommended it to people.

Big impact on my fitness and charity. I’m loving Paceline. My motivation to exercise has gone up now that I can both see how much I’ve earned in rewards ($70!), and I can compete against my friends. When I start falling behind it motivates me to get going. I’ve also donated about $40 to charity so far, which feels even better than Starbucks.

GET THIS APP ASAP. I love this app! I just hit my 8 week streak & was rewarded with a $5 gift card to either Target or Starbucks. I hadn’t yet claimed a reward but was doing a run to Target & was so excited when I remembered I had this gift card option - all because I worked out that week!! I can’t wait to hit my 9th week. Thank you, Paceline!!

The new point system is bad. The changes in the app over the years have been bad to begin with. First they reduced the type of rewards and now they bring points in which makes earning rewards every week impossible because you have to earn a certain points before you can redeem any rewards so you need to wait for a few weeks before redeeming anything unlike before when you can redeem something every week from the weekly list.

Too good to be true?. That’s what I thought when my wife told me about getting rewards for working out. There had to be a catch. There had to be a hidden cost. But there absolutely isn’t. I get rewards for a workout I would already be doing anyway. Highly recommend you do the same.

It’s great to be rewarded for hard work!. It is great to be rewarded for hard work. I’ve been cycling for a while and am not a pro by any means, but getting actual rewards for putting in work and having fun on the bike is the best. I can’t recommend this enough for people who workout or for people to stay motivated for their hard work.

Not Worth It. I’ve had it on my phone for a year I have Apple Watch and I’ve never gotten a reward. They want you to log in your bank account to get anything I’m not giving you access to my bank account by signing some app in. It doesn’t read write ether I walk a lot around the house cleaning and it doesn’t read my watch right don’t waste your time like I have.

Changed too much. This was a 5 star app before the latest update. I had all of my friends and clients using it. Now, I don’t think I can recommend it. Besides the fact that you now can’t claim a weekly prize (the whole point) because now everything is point based and not minute based, it’s not even logging my activity minutes accurately. I’ve been using this app from the beginning. Now, just like MyFitnessPal, the main selling points of this once super useful app are gone. Big sad.
