Samsung Galaxy Buds Comments & Reviews 2026
Needs support for Galaxy Buds Pro. I should have realized that Apple would nerf this app to inconvenience their users when using Samsung products in roundabout ways, but I never expected them to somehow stop Samsung from developing functionality for their newest Galaxy Buds Pro. As of May 2021, Samsung still hasn’t been able to release a version of this app with support for the special features of the Galaxy Buds Pro – namely the ability to customize what each tap does, audio EQ for the buds, and find-my-device features. Very disappointed that I can’t use the best true wireless stereo headphones on the market with the best phone on the market in the way they should work. Get over it, Apple airpod pushers.
App claims to work with iOS 10 or later. Yet this is not the case. When I look at the compatibility tab on the app it claims that it works with my phone, and that the app only requires an iPhone with iOS 10 or later. Yet when I open the app on my phone I get an abrupt pop-up simply stating that the app will not work on my phone, no other information given. I use an iPhone SE (2016 model) running iOS 12. There shouldn’t be any reason why this app can’t work with my phone. I have purchase a pair of Galaxy Earbuds hoping to be able to use them with the app. That is the entire reason I bought the earbuds. If there is no way to use the app with the earbuds on my phone I will be sending them back to the manufacturer. If you can’t be sure the earbuds will work with your phone then I see no reason to use the app or purchase the earbuds.
Does NOT work with current Samsung Buds! [Update]. Current app doesn’t work with the original Samsung Galaxy Buds on iPhone. There is no CLEAR indication of this so be careful purchasing the original buds if you don’t want the additional capabilities that you can get with the app. Now for the update, I ended up purchasing the galaxy plus buds. They do work with the app on the iPhone. The app allows you to signal in on specific sounds within your music; so you can boost base or treble, etc. The voice through function is super helpful. Rating a 4 because I wish there was a way to boost overall sound, as sometimes the buds’ sound can seem low, depending on what I’m listening to.
Really Well Done. All the low rated reviews are useless, they don’t know what they’re doing or saying so DONT READ THEM. First: For this app to work connect to your iPhone from settings first, then connect the BUDS+ (emphasis on +) to the app. Second: App is neatly organized, it tells you how much charging your case has and how much charging buds have WHEN the case IS OPEN! (Although I wish it gave battery levels for each individual bud) Third: It has manuals and guides for how to work the touch pad. You can even make custom controls to fit your needs. The equalizer works great, I change it depending on the songs I listen to. Fourth: AMBIENT SOUND toggle can only be switched on if your earbuds are in (if I remember correctly). I don’t use it too much because I can hear things I usually can’t with my regular ears (really well done if you like that!). Conclusion: If you’re worrying about getting the Galaxy Buds+ because of this app, don’t worry about it. If you follow the instructions properly, the buds+ work great for iPhone. **IF YOU WANT TO CONNECT TO A DIFFERENT DEVICE, TURN OFF BLUETOOTH FROM THE SETTINGS APP, THE PROCEED CONNECTION, I HAD TROUBLE WITH THAT** Fun Fact: I have the BTS edition
Mostly works.. Response to developer response: It’s absolutely possible for Bluetooth devices linked to an iPhone to do everything that the Galaxy Buds+ currently do, while having volume controls that are totally independent of the volume slider in iOS. I have multiple Bluetooth headphones/speakers/receivers that do exactly this. On those devices, their internal volume controls act like the potentiometer-based in-line volume controls that are found on some headphones—they adjust the final volume without changing the position of the slider in iOS. That’s absolutely something that these earbuds should be able to do too, even if it’s via a manual slider in the application. Original review: With these earbuds, there’s currently no way to adjust the volume output of the buds independently from the single volume slider in iOS. That artificially limits the range of output volume you can get out of them—it means that they’re too quiet for some environments, too loud for others, and that it can be difficult to get the volume level set right where you want it. Admittedly this is mostly a deficiency within iOS, but it would be nice if this application allowed me to change it—either via a slider in the application, or by allowing the user to control the volume output of the phone via the phone’s buttons, and the volume amplification of the buds via the touch controls on the buds themselves.
App Connectivity issue / compatibility. I read many of the reviews and I see so far many overlapping on the same issue, and sadly the app developers haven’t really made any updates or statements on these feedback, I’m facing a connectivity issue with the app itself, when download the app and connect my Buds plus,I cannot take any calls but I can listen to some of the music and sounds, on the other hand if I connect them normally, they would connect for some time but I’ve noticed switching back-and-forth between other phones or other devices could also cause an issue. For me it seems to be a software issue in the device itself, it’s not fully compatible with iPhones or Apple devices in general, I did try several devices and still facing the same issue, that’s how I came up with this conclusion. Hope this issue could be fixed on the next update. Overall I like the device and the sound quality, and all the features it offered.
Samsung does it again. “Not compatible with your device” is how I’m greeted when I try to fire up this app. Apple still supports my iPhone 6s, the latest iOS supports it, but apparently Samsung does not. Yes, I could have read the “iPhone 7 or later” buried near the end of the app description, but maybe restrictions like that should be called out more obviously? Fine, I’ll install it on my much newer iPad. Nope, “not compatible with your device”. Seriously? The iPad has all the capabilities of the phone, is just as good for Bluetooth applications, but you don’t support it at all? (And yet allow the app to be installed on it.) So now I have absolutely no way to configure or use the advanced features of my new Buds+. Has I realized this, I would not have bought them in the first place. Way to go, Samsung. Update: I am using an iPad Mini 4. Why not tell your customers what the actual hardware requirement is, instead of repeating the vague “hardware compatibility limitation” in so many reviews? I assume you want Bluetooth 5.0 support but here’s the thing - the iPhone 7 that you DO support only has Bluetooth 4.2... as do my devices and those of many other reviewers. Without those details, it simply sounds like you guys are blowing smoke.
My Galaxy Buds Live can’t update to latest software version!. I have my blue Galaxy Buds Live for 3?years now. The first year everything worked fine you updated the App regularly and updates on my Galaxy Buds live was twice a year up until last year when you Samsung haven’t updated your iOS App in a long time. Now I cannot even update my Galaxy Buds Live to the latest update. I did all the required steps I put the ibuds Live in charging case waited til at least 50% charged than opened the case than I opened the App to start the software update of the buds live then a window pops up connection error a connection to the server could not be established please Check your wireless connection! I checked my wireless connection and tried several time to update the software of my Galaxy Buds live, it always showed the same message connection error! The buds cannot connect to the server! There must be something wrong at your end Samsung cause my WiFi/W-LAN connection is working properly without any problems. Perhaps you should update your Galaxy Buds App for iOS more often. I witnessed that you haven’t updated the App on a very very long time!
Just What I Wanted - Galaxy Buds Plus on iPhone 11 Pro. I was initially concerned about the horrible reviews for this app, but it works perfectly for me. I am using Galaxy Buds Plus with the iPhone 11 Pro and pairing was very smooth. It does seem like you’re supposed to pair two things with Bluetooth, but the app was only able to pair one for me. No big deal though, I just paired the other one in the iOS Bluetooth settings. There was a firmware update available for the Buds, which I was able to apply easily in just a few minutes. My favorite feature is “Labs” “Double tap earbud edge” allowing me to control volume by double tapping the edge of the earbud. This basically gives you an extra button since you can still configure press + hold to be voice command or ambient mode for the main button. Being able to easily control volume was one of the main things that caused me to choose these earbuds. Also cool that you can see Buds and case battery separately and it even shows the red color for both! No manual EQ, but the presets are good enough for me. Overall, if you have a compatible device and the right Buds, the app works great!
No support for Galaxy Buds Pro. Would be nice if they disclosed that this app doesn’t support the Galaxy Buds Pro somewhere before I wasted time trying to connect to the app, but here we are. I had a pair of Buds Pro for about a year before I switched to iPhone. When I had a Samsung device, the app was great & part of the reason I enjoyed using the Buds. Now, those of us with Buds Pro on iPhone are out of luck in using these headphones to their full functionality - including features like Active Noise Cancelling (you know, one of the main reasons people probably invested in these). I really like Samsung, but this is such a flop. 👎🏻 Bottom line for iPhone users: don’t bother purchasing any line of Galaxy Buds, period. Eventually, and rather quickly, you will be phased out of their full functionality from the app & you will not be getting the full value for your money. 💯
Great BT ear buds but connectivity issues. I have a iPhone 11 Pro and bought the Galaxy Buds+ so that I can fit them in my ear protection. AirPod stems are too long to fit in ear protection. I noticed the right ear is slightly lower in volume than the left. I checked this by switching ears and it was indeed the right ear bud that was lower in volume. I googled the problem and was suggested to download the app to fix the volume issue. However I cannot seem to connect my Buds to the app. The option for Buds comes up with a black pair and mine are white. Maybe that’s the issue?? Idk I’m not familiar with Galaxy products. I’ve tried everything I can think of: unpaired them from my phone, then tried through the app, nothing. Tried with them paired to my phone and still nothing. Deleted then re downloaded the app. Basically every option in between all that I listed I tried. Nothing. I keep getting the “Device not appearing?” Screen even though the buds are already connected to my phone. There’s a YouTuber (Devin Macon) that connected his Buds to his iPhone but he has the white Bud option; mine shows up as a black pair and there’s no other option. I’ll see if the unbalance improves but I can’t seem to connect the Buds to the Buds app. Please fix ASAP.
Connectivity issue. I’ll start out by saying I honestly really enjoy the buds+. They sound awesome, plus the ambient mic mode and numerous other features are really nice. The issue I have is if I pair the buds+ through the app, my buds+ have no sound coming through them. My phone just sends the audio through the phone speakers like nothing is connected. If I just pair the buds+ through the Bluetooth connection menu in my settings for my IPhone X, they will function normally. If I pair them through my Bluetooth menu though I cannot pair them through the app, which prevents me from being able to use all the cool features. My phone and buds+ are both on the latest updates. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it, just to make sure there wasn’t just some bad file I downloaded. Or possibly just a glitch in my download. I have had zero issues with other headphone companies and their software for their headphones. This is a sad deal for me, because I really want to be able to use these headphones to their fullest exten. These are by far the most comfortable and best sounding truly wireless headphones I have had.
It really does work!!!!. At first a left a one star review, so that Samsung would be able to notice the review and help me fix a problem, but now it works perfectly fine! First, I want to say that it only works on Buds Plus not the original buds. The second thing is that the buds plus wouldn’t connect because the app kept telling me to open Bluetooth sharing even if that wasn’t an option on settings. What I did that may help you is to restart the phone. Once it turns on again and the buds are connected, open the app and it will instead ask you right in the beginning if they could have access to the Bluetooth. After that, it worked well!!! This app honestly does deserve a better rating then what it has now.
Bad reviews are largely user error. I was able to get Buds+ to work perfectly and immediately with the app by following simple, intuitive instructions available online. Before attempting to use this app, ensure you own Buds+, not the original Buds. Verify your iOS device compatibility (on the app store for phones and online for iPads). If you do not meet these prerequisites, proceed no further and do not download this app. 1st step - open buds case with Buds+ still in the charging position if this is the first device you're pairing your Buds+ to enter pairing mode or take Buds+ out of their case (as long as they're charged) and put them in. Tap and hold both Buds+ until you hear a repeating chime which indicates they're in pairing mode. 2nd step - using the device that you want to have as your primary device for your Buds+ go to Settings > Bluetooth and trap on Buds+ at the bottom. Once they are connected, download this app if you haven't already done so. 3rd step - open the app and follow prompts. It will ask you to keep the case open, this is why it was necessary to pair to your primary device first as the case only pairs to one device. You're done. It's as simple as that. Functionality of settings, controls, etc is as expected. These are among the easiest to setup non-Apple headphones I've used.
I would give this app 0 stars if I could. Samsung makes absolutely no sense. The Galaxy Buds are compatible with IOS, but not with this app. I will think twice before buying another product from Samsung ever again. I am not happy with my experience with Samsung. Why would you create an app that is not compatible with your original galaxy buds. Apple is a much better company than Samsung and I would not recommend buying from them. In addition to this stupid app design, the Galaxy buds themselves have horrible instructions. They do not tell you how to put them in the ear and other information like that. I originally wanted Galaxy buds because they have more features than Airpods, but now I wish I had bought the Airpods. Why on earth would you create an app that is not compatible with the original buds. This information should be shown when purchasing the buds so people know not to waste their money
Nice one Samsung. So I have all my music on my iPod touch right and I try to use the app and it keeps on insisting that it is not compatible with the iPod touch. To their credit it is a 6th gen iPod with some bad specs which doesn’t make any sense to why it wouldn’t be compatible but alright. So I try it out on my iPad where I get most of my work done and nothing. Still not compatible. There is absolutely no excuse for this it is running the latest version of iPad OS and has great specs. I think Samsung believes that everyone has their music on an iPhone, which is true for most people but some people just like to have a device for only music listening like the iPod, or the people trying to work during a pandemic like this one with an iPad. There is no excuse for this non compatibility and if there is a technical issue as to why this is the case please tell me Samsung. Thank you. **Edit** I am using a iPad Air 2 which according to Samsung’s reply to this review is not supported. I am using the Buds+. They still work with the device but not having the app is an inconvenience. I am still confused as to why the compatibility is only for these devices, my idea is that Samsung develops for each individual device which I have never seen before. I have to give them some props to trying to make this in the first place instead of only having Bluetooth or worse yet having it locked to one device. I am still curious if this is a technical issue or a software issue with the compatibility.
Not compatible with iPod Touch!!. **Developers, please READ this part of my note**: In the app’s “Compatibility” section, under “INFORMATION”, it specifically states that it is compatible with the iPod Touch. This section needs to be edited, if it’s not true, as it gives false information. I have the latest, generation 7, updated to the latest iOS (13.6.1), and I always get the dreaded “not compatible with this device” message. I have written to customer service several times, with canned responses of instructions to follow. (I know how to do that, as I previously connected the Buds+ to my iPad. I just don’t think it’s feasible to toss my iPad into my back pocket when I want to listen to music while out walking!) Never once did anyone reply that the iPod touch isn’t compatible, as some of the responses from the developer on this site have indicated. I can pair and listen to music with no problems, but I would like to be able to use the features of this app, to monitor the battery levels, to change the equalizer, etc. Why exclude a specific device made for music when developing an app for wireless earbuds??
Great App Overall, But.... So i’ve been using this app for a while now. Been using my phone to tweak my settings. But when I tried using my iPad Pro on it, it connects fine but the app says “Device not supported” or something along those lines, you get the point. I hope on a future update they would support iPads (Although i’m not sure if this is the case with all iPad models. I currently have the iPad Pro 2nd gen, and yes, I do know it’s Bluetooth 4.2, but it works fine on my iPhone 7+ which is also Bluetooth 4.2) But support issues aside, it’s a great app and I do recommend it to anyone who has the Galaxy Buds Plus!
No consistency. This app has changed to a point that I don’t even know if its the right thing any more. I received the Galaxy Gear IconX as a gift a couple of years ago and this app can’t find them. The buds work over Bluetooth just fine but I can’t make any changes to their settings. Even the PC app is very limited in what it can manage. I’m sure these would work fine from a Samsung device but things like this reflect poorly and definitely do not encourage me to buy their other products. Update regarding developer response.... Thanks for your quick response however that really does nothing to help me out. When searching your website the IconX page says to search the App Store for IconX and the only two apps from Samsung are this one and Wear App that’s only for the watches. So, again, no consistency here because from what you’ve just said there isn’t an app on the App Store for the IconX when your website clearly instructs to search for it.
Great Product. I had a galaxy s9+ it served well but eventually was demolished and I decided to check out iPhone, never having had one. I was psyched that my buds+ worked so well and hooked up so easily. Gotta hand it to those boys at Samsung. My ONLY gripe is I can’t do live listening with these like the iPhone ones. But that’s an iPhone thing. Great job Samsung! Edit: Apple has a feature available with their AirPods where once activated you can receive audio from your phone to your AirPods. A good example of this would be: once activated I can leave my phone in the bedroom with my sleeping son, and I could here him through the earbuds in the next room if he were to wake up. Plus any benefits for the hearing impaired of course
Switching between devices it’s a nightmare (fixed). Connecting them to my iPhone was pretty easy and the app worked great, but when I tried to switch them to my iPad I had to go to my phone Bluetooth settings and manually forget the buds so that my IPad could recognize them. I have to do this every time I want to switch between devices and sometimes I have to try 3 or 4 times for my devices to recognize them. Edit: I tried this but my iPad only recognized the left bud and doesn’t take them as earbuds, the sound still plays through the speakers. Thank you for answering. Second edit: the link doesn’t work, it says the video it’s unavailable Third edit: Hi there, the thing is unless I manually unpair the buds from my phone my iPad won’t find them, even if they are on the case and my phone’s Bluetooth is turned off. Fourth edit: it works now! I had my buds conected to my iPad and forgot to disconnect them before going out, I thought I would have to go back inside and unpair them but they just connected to my phone, now I can easily switch between devices without having to unpair them. If someone is having the same issue just get away from one of your devices with and connect them to the other.
(Solved) Will Not Connect to Bluetooth. Even Followed Instructions All The Way.. I did this on a iPhone 11 but I’m not 100% sure if it will work on all iPhone models. It should but you’ll have to give it a try to see if it works on your iPhone. There’s a Bluetooth connectivity issue with the Samsung ear bud app. The Samsung app seems to have been written by a 6 year old just starting out… To get around it simply pair your Samsung ear buds manually to your iPhone. Your phone will pick up the Bluetooth signal automatically and show in the Bluetooth settings as unpaired. Simply press pair ear buds and connect manually. The ear buds will work but you won’t be able to use the app to apply different settings and customize the way the ear buds sound or work. Even with out the app settings available the Samsung ear buds sound really good. They are much better sounding than the newer Bluetooth iPhone ear buds are… To get the Samsung ear buds to play louder than the normal loudest setting available or to add a bass boost download a sound EQ app and play around with the settings till you find what you like. Then delete the Samsung ear buds app all together because it’s worthless and can’t be used at this point. Hope this helps. 🎼
This app could be even better.. OK, I downloaded this app thinking it would work with my Samsung galaxy buds pro. If I’m not mistaken that’s some more recent version of the galaxy buds. Seriously, Samsung, if you’re going to develop an app for the Galaxy Buds. At least make sure that they work on all the newer versions of the GalaxyBuds. According to the information I’ve seen in this app. It only works on the GalaxyBuds live, and the galaxy buds plus. Doesn’t seem like it was worth spending $140 on a pair a GalaxyBuds pro only to find out that I can’t get them to work on this thing except for using Bluetooth. This should be fixed immediately before any future releases of this app. this is exactly why this app only gets three stars. Fix that little issue and I’ll consider upgrading my rating from three stars to five. And even recommending this app. What, until then. It’s going to stay at the current rating
I really wish you guys could add gaming mode on ios or any way of reducing the delay. Hi samsung so i bought the galaxy buds live 7 months ago and everything was top notch like even the audio is amazing but i only had one issue was expecting you guys to solve eventually but still didn’t so i connected them to a samsung device and they had zero delay when i press play for my using or games but when it comes to my ios device i did notice delay other than that everything is fine so i hope if there’s something you guys could do about it even if it remove a little bit if latency and thank you for your time have a great one
App does not work with iphone 11 and buds live. This app is not working. I have an iphone 11 and buds live SM-R180. Should be more accurate on the description as It doesn’t connect. Update: thanks for the response. I have an iPhone 11 with iOS 14.4. The issue is that I cannot connect the buds live to the app, so I cannot reset the buds. I can open the app but once I click on start the app cannot recognize the buds and that’s all I can do. The buds live works with the regular Bluetooth but I cannot use all the features that the app allows me to use for my buds live. 2nd update: I follow each one of the steps suggested but the app still cannot find the buds live. It start searching and then just show a message that there is not a device near. They paired with the iphone but not with the app so I cannot use the features available on the app. Any suggestion? 3rd Update: thanks for the info. I followed each one of the steps and the result is still negative. The buds live cannot be found by the app so they only pair as a regular headphones. Not sure why it is so complicated to pair them with the app. They work fine as regular headphones but there is no way I can pair them to the app to use the features. By the moment I am disappointed with the app.
Works great! Sounds great, too.. I decided to try these after I wore out my original Apple AirPods. The battery life was what made me choose yours. When I read all the low ratings (after I got these), I worried that I’d have problems with them. But I’m one of those weirdos who reads the manual. I followed the directions, and had NO PROBLEMS with them at all. I poked around the settings, tuned them to my taste, and after a software update, am enjoying them. My main challenge is remembering what tap does what, and turning the tap sensor off until I seat them properly. It’s a treat to get something that works as it should, right out of the box. They play well with my iPhone 11 Pro Max, and I bet they’ll run with my iPad, Windows 10 laptop and whatever else I get.
Read the instructions!!!!. The app works perfectly, just read the instructions that pop up on the screen! After reading the comments, I noticed people have been complaining on how, when you pair the buds they don’t play the song or movie you are trying to listen to. Instead the sound comes from the speakers of the device you’re using instead of the buds. But if you’ve read the instructions that pop up right after you pair you’r buds, it’s says that Bluetooth has to be paired to Galaxy buds+ and Galaxy buds+ LE. After you pair through the app, go to Bluetooth settings on your device and if only one is paired, put your buds back into the charging case and take them out right after and you’ll find both of the Bluetooth pairing names. ( If you don’t see both, wait a bit till it pops up)
Problems with loading update. After trying for two days, to do a new update or should I say install it has not been able to update due to software issues on their part. I have two pairs of these headsets due to the software issues download I cannot hear them, and can only use one at a time. How inconvenient is this? Wondering if I can send them back and get my money back for both headsets the copper one and the blue one. Since I can’t do an update, they can’t be paired. What’s the point of having only one that works at a time. What a waste of my money never again.
Third time is NOT the charm. After reading some of the reviews hard to have any expectations, this app would work. This is my second iPhone, since switching from Samsung galaxies. I actually like galaxies and their products, like Apple, everything is about its own ecosystem. I had an iPhone XR, and the second GEN galaxy buds. The buds work on iPhone but there’s no way to track the battery life because the apps do not work. When I got the new phone (iPhone 11), I tried again, and it still did not work. After sometime now, I decided to try again thinking maybe there would be some sort of update to the app. I’m still using an iPhone 11 and I’m still using the second GEN galaxy buds. Running the latest iOS (16.4.1), and surprise surprise it still doesn’t work. I guess I’m going to have to start switching all of my stuff over to the iPhone ecosystem.
Galaxy buds pro. So I got the iPhone 11 and I was supper excited to upgrade from the galaxy buds + to the pro. I had been watching videos of why they were so good, that their better than air pod pro, I saw all these features, but when I had gotten my earbuds they wouldn’t connect to the app. I tried for about an hour to get them connected to the galaxy buds app but it wouldn’t connect. I wasn’t sure if this was faulty on my side or the earbuds. It wasn’t until the until i searched up that you guys didn’t support the pro’s to Apple users only andriod users. Now these are equivalent or maybe worse than the air pod pro’s. If you guys would add the galaxy bud pro’s to the app and allow all the features the buds would be 10x better.
Connecting issue. I have an iPhone 11 and the galaxy buds+ , and at first the left bud became significantly quieter and I could barely hear a thing from it. Now the right bud is doing the same and unless you’re in a dead quiet space you can’t hear any music even with The volume turned all the way up. So I googled how to fix , very common but not easily fixed surprisingly. I downloaded the app to try and connect the buds to it and do it like many suggested but no success in connecting to the app. Buds were fully charged and ready to pair etc and the app never even locates them so now I’m stuck with these used to be really nice working headphones that I can’t even use. Is there a way to clean these or fix this issue were it’s compatible? Why have the option if it won’t even connect to the buds. Also I’ve uninstalled and re-downloaded the app multiple times no luck sadly.
Low reviews are because of user error. The app works perfectly as long as you follow the directions. This app only works for Samsung Buds +. All the bad reviews are from people who tried older headphones with the app. This app is very easy to use and has really awesome features. Ambient sound is an amazing feature. I love hearing things around me while I listen to music. When I was listening outside while working, it was a pleasant surprise to hear birds singing in the background of my music. It’s a very important safety feature that all headphones should have. I also enjoy how you can change the touch controls and sound presets as well. Thanks for the great app Samsung!
Serves its Purlose. Before you turn away from Galaxy Buds because of the reviews of them or this app, please read below. (TL;DR at bottom) I was skeptical when buying the Buds+ because of all the negative reviews of the product and this app. But let me tell you, I have no regrets buying them. The reviews saying that the Bluetooth doesn’t connect with iPhones or that you have to give Samsung access to all your contacts just aren’t true. If you have a apple device that isn’t too old, they connect fine. The Buds+ even connected to my Windows PC with no issues, unlike every other earbuds I’ve tried. As for this app, it works exactly as you’d expect it to. It makes connection even easier than just using Bluetooth, and it gives you control over almost everything. All it requested was to access Bluetooth, no location or contacts. If you saw one of the reviews at the top saying that this app doesn’t work with the original Buds, (I wonder why apple put that at the top...) no duh. It’s not supposed to. You should do your research before buying earbuds to see if there is an app or the company has official said certain earbuds will be supported by an app. Samsung never claimed or even made it seem like the original Buds would be supported. TL;DR Personally I love my earbuds, but that’s not for this review on the App Store. This app serves its purpose and I have had no issues with it.
Same iPhone issues as others. The fact that it says “Can’t open this app - not compatible with your device” is ridiculous. I’ve looked at the developers’ responses to other reviews and have also worked in both software and hardware development myself, and they should be ashamed of themselves. You can write an app that works for more phones. The idea that dysfunctional software is “a hardware problem” that “can’t be addressed by software” is ridiculous. If the iPhone is supported by other apps, is on the latest iOS, and is capable of pairing with your Bluetooth devices, the lack of interest in developing a compatible app to adjust settings is exactly that - lack of interest, particularly in what clearly matters to customers. I will be returning my Samsung buds, probably for AirPods, and not buying from them again.
Why has this app not been updated with new buds?!. I recently switched from Samsung to iPhone because other members in my household run IOS. I currently have Galaxy Buds Pro and love them , so when I read that there was a Buds app for iPhone I was excited. This excitement died just as quick as I downloaded it because this app ONLY SUPPORTS TWO MODELS, and of course my model isn’t one of them. You would think for Samsung being a large company they would fix this, especially because the lack of support tarnishes their business, andthere seem to be soooo many of us in the same predicament. I don’t want to just use them via Bluetooth because I am only getting half of the experience I should be. I really hope they do do an update soon, because if not, I will be switching to all Apple products for a seamless use.
This Is An Amazing App. It's sad that this app has such a low rating. It is an amazing app that greatly improves the functionality of the buds. It seems like most of the bad reviews don't actually have to do with the app, just people that are confused about what the app does. THIS APP ONLY WORKS WITH THE GALAXY BUDS PLUS. IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER EARBUDS, IT WILL NOT WORK. If you have the buds plus this app does everything it says perfectly. It adds so many features and allows you to customize a lot of things. The fact that people give this app so many bad ratings because they don't read the description and see that it clearly says IT'S ONLY FOR THE BUDS PLUS is just sad. I hope more people who actually use the app leave more reviews so this amazing app can get the rating it deserves.
Excellent Functionality and No Issues. I’m using this app on my iPhone XS and with the Galaxy Buds +. My previous Bluetooth earbuds were the original Apple AirPods. Not only are Galaxy Buds + better in sound quality, noise isolation and battery longevity; this app adds so much functionality that I just love. I am a diy sort of person so I am nerding out with what I can do with these buds through the app. I’ve settled on left bud touch and hold to turn on ambient sound. Right touch and hold for Siri. Single tap pause playback. Two taps next track and three for previous. I love that I adjust how loud my ambient sound is and whether I want it on when I’m on the phone. I do by the way. I’m also digging the experimental features of tapping the outside of the buds for volume up or down. Clearly this app is trying to give as much functionality as they can. You can also disable all functionality if you so choose by enabling Block Touches. I have had no connection issues since I began using it 3 months ago. The only thing I wish I had was a graphic eq to further dial in my audio preferences. Even without, I’d give this app an 11 out of 10. Just super cool what I can do with these buds especially coming from the AirPods.
Two Years Since Last App Update. It has been over two years since the last update to this app. New products have been rolled out since this last update. Buds 2 Pro’s provide superior sound performance across the industry and are used across many platforms. However, for the customer to take advantage of Buds 2 Pro superior performance it is imperative the customer has access to the controls for and information provided by the Buds 2 Pro product. I think I can speak for many, if not all, customers who have voiced their frustration in these comments that an update of this IOS app is overdue and very much needed. Buds 2 Pro customers should be afforded the opportunity to experience the full range of Buds 2 Pro performance as those customers on the Samsung Galaxy platform. I am writing today not to moan and complain but to offer you a solution. I am retired and have nothing but free time on my hands. I would be happy to update your app so that your IOS customers, and I fall into that category, can experience the full range of the Buds 2 Pro performance they expected when they purchased your product. Yes, all of this would be done under the appropriate NDA’s for for software development. Think of it as a crowd sourced app update for the benefit of all. I offer my services, what say you?
App is quirky it seems. UPDATE: the app is still problematic with call quality. It sounded fine with a few calls but then the same delayed and interrupted quality reappeared. The issue goes away after uninstalling the app. I thought my galaxy buds + were defective out of the box because I was having horrible audio issues when making calls but turns out the buds are fine and the issue may have been with the app. I uninstalled the app, then connected the buds just using the Bluetooth on my iPhone, then reinstalled the app and reconnected the buds in the app and the call quality issues have gone away, and music sounds great too! So besides this hiccup the app is great, easy to use and nice features with being able to control the ambient sound on/off and equalizer.
Galaxy buds pro. I had the galaxy buds + for a while and worked great with the app the controls were awesome and never had an issue. I thought I would upgrade and got the galaxy buds pro and no matter what I try the app refuses to pair. It’ll connect almost instantly to my phone’s Bluetooth the second the case is opened. The sound quality it’s default at is great and no complaints there, but all the other settings I can’t access cause the app won’t pair to it. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times, I’ve reset the buds pro multiple times. I tried each guide I found and I even tried seeing if they just happen to have their own app or are just not compatible and there’s nothing. I even had my wife try to get them to work with her Galaxy Buds app, but she couldn’t get it to connect, either. And reading the instructions that came with the box I know they’re supposed to pair with the app.
App is useless. The app doesn’t work at all if you buds are connected to the phone. What’s the point? If you connect to the app, the sound doesn’t play via the buds, only through the phone. If you connect them via Bluetooth, you can hear through the buds but it won’t connect to the app. Samsung fix this!!! Update 1: Not sure how to respond directly to your comment but I’ll edit my review to include that info. I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ in light blue and my phone is iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 13.3.1. Everything is up to date. Update 2: did you read my review at all? Of course I know it has to be connected to bluetooth to work. THATS THE PROBLEM! It won’t play music or anything else if it’s connected via the app. If you connect via the Bluetooth settings in the iPhone settings, it works fine but then the app can’t connect to the buds. Stop being purposefully obtuse. Read the other reviews. There are tons of other people with the exact same problem. I upgraded to the buds+ solely for the the app. Fix it so I don’t have to return them as defective.
Worst APP EVER!. When my husband gets the Samsung buds for free when purchasing his Samsung S10 5G phone, you would think the product would work with the app that comes out for it. But NO! I have an iPhone and since the Samsung buds had great reviews and at a much better price point, it’s a no brainer which ear buds we would go with. Fast forward to having them for almost a year and losing just one of the eat buds because your cat thinks this is the coolest toy ever. How do you suppose we found the other ear bud? Not with the iPhone that it was paired to, no, with my husband’s Samsung S10 that has the app built into his settings. This is the stupidest app ever! Just because technology has upgraded, doesn’t mean you forget about the original version of the product! When these crap out, which is already happening, I have problems with the earbuds dropping calls, people not being able to hear me, not being able to hear the music I am listening to - it drops the music about 5 seconds into the song, and so on, I will gladly be going with another company.
App is great! Read the description first!. The app works exactly as its intended! It clearly states Galaxy Buds+ only and specific generations of devices! There are hardware limitations, that are listed! Also, you have to connect to them first in your Bluetooth settings BEFORE connecting with the app. Description also says this.... The ambient sound mode is particularly fantastic! The only improvement I could see is a custom equalizer? But the presets are probably perfect for most people. Digging the “dynamic” setting. The Galaxy Buds+ are completely worth it. You’ll see fantastic reviews all over everywhere. (I don’t want to admit how many reviews I watched). Don’t pass them up just because of the low app rating. 100% fully functional with fantastic app. No regrets! Thanks Samsung!
Don’t forget to smile 💜. I have buds+ with an iPhone 11. Follow the instructions to pair as it says on the Samsung website. Turn on Bluetooth and go to the app. Don’t try to connect with Bluetooth first. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Still testing longevity; so far so good. They look great and work beautifully. I’m loving my buds+. I am more sensitive to ear buds and the regular apple ear buds hurt my ears and these are comfortable with 3 sizes to choose from: small, med and large. I have been reading so many negative reviews so I worried about the experience I would have. This is why I am making this review bc so long as you understand which buds you have and which device they are compatible with you won’t have problems. The app is great and I especially like the equalizer. Love the way music sounds with Dynamic. Overall so happy with buds+. Thank you
Serious flaw using an iPhone 12. When pairing these new Galaxy Buds Plus I cannot use the app settings because a pop up screen blocks the app settings. It dates “to pair your buds make sure Bluetooth settings are turned on and both 407 and 407LE are connected”. Or something to that extent. At the bottom of this message that covers your screen and won’t let you actually use the app settings, it says “confirm”. No matter how many times I press confirm that screen still remains and does nothing. I’ve tried everything. Paired multiple times. Starting from scratch multiple times. Erased the app multiple times and redownloaded it. Nothing allows me to use the app options and it’s now infuriating. The buds connect. They play just fine. They show connection in Bluetooth, both buds, LE etc. yet nothing. Please fix this or tell me how to fix it. Thanks.
Great App and Earbuds work perfect on iPhone X. I have a iPhone X and was hesitant to try and use the earbuds. I bought them as a gift and they didn’t want them. So I started using them. As long as you follow all the directions they work perfectly. These work way better than the Beats I got. The ambient noise helps without stopping my music to hear someone talking to me. Also, make sure you try all the ear fittings to make sure that you have the right pair so they fit in your ear without falling out. I had that problem with a lot of earbuds in the past. So looking forward to writing another review after a while of using them.
Everything is gucci. I don't why so many people have problems with this app. I have iPhone 10 and I paired my buds through phone Bluetooth and then downloaded app and connected ear buds to app and everything works just fine. If you leave app for a while and go back in it does display as if no ear buds connected even through they are and I'm listening to music through them but all you have to do is just pull down in the app just like you do on Instagram to refresh feed and suddenly buds are connected to app and you can regulate the equalizer and ambient sound. Btw, ambience sound is amazing. I tested it out in a noisy factory I work in and the noise cancelation from off to full mode is noticeable considerably and blocks most sound when not listening to anything at all and completely when turn on music!
NO Sense. How do you make an app that is not compatible to its original product version!! When will this app be compatible or when will there be an app that is compatible? I was sooo excited when I purchased the original galaxy buds from Samsung since I had done all my research and compared them to a few others including Apple AirPods, and Samsung ultimately won for its look and comfort for me and also it stated on the website that they were compatible to iOS came to find out they are not!!! I called Samsung to complain but of course nothing could be done I accepted the fact that I can only use my buds as Bluetooth with my iPhone 11 max pro but was told to periodically check for an app in the App Store since it might become available soon. Today I was told by a colleague that a new version of the galaxy buds was available with the app for iPhones I was excited when I heard the news that I quickly downloaded the app thinking that of course it’s compatible to the original buds how could they not right.... Not reading the fine print “not compatible with SM-R170” VERY DISAPPOINTED! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! Not sure if I will be buying Samsung products anymore since it’s very hard to have them pair or be compatible with other devices. Please make it compatible. It’s ridiculous it’s not!
NOT compatible with Galaxy Buds Pro. It’s amazing to see how many different models of Apple products are not compatible with this app, and it turns out that the Galaxy Pro buds are completely incompatible with any Apple device and won’t work with this app. I’ve been trying and trying to figure out how to connect my Galaxy Pro buds to this app and finally, after hours of digging around on the internet over a couple weeks and a long chat with a support worker, I learned that the entire Galaxy Pro product line doesn’t even work with this app. Meaning there is no way to program my new buds whatsoever. These were gifted to me for Christmas so I hadn’t done any research and just assumed they would work with the Galaxy Buds App, because why on earth wouldn’t they right? Even on the app home page it only references Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Live, and Galaxy + - no mention of the Pro model at all. In my opinion, it’s absolutely ridiculous that the upgraded Galaxy Pro doesn’t have an Apple app that is compatible. Do better, Samsung, and fix this before you lose your entire market of IPhone users.
No connection. I’ve had these buds plus for almost a year and about 3-4 months ago the slowly stopped working. So I gave up on them. But today I decided to see if I could get them to work because I really love them for workout with. I couldn’t connect the buds to my iPhone 11 (had for about 3 years now). I tried following the steps I’ve seen to disconnect the buds and tapping and hold the buds while in the ears to reboot them…nothing is happening. I’d love to be able to use them again as they are by far the best earbuds I’ve had. Anything to get them to reconnect to the phone would be great, but I fear the worst. Update: still not able to connect my ear buds to Bluetooth. The ear buds do not show up as an option to connect to Bluetooth. I’ve tried connecting to another phone and still nothing.

Disappointed. I am very disappointed when I put the app on iPhone XS they worked great did update now only one bud live connects to app or to phone I have reset I have uninstalled nothing has worked. I loved them when they worked for the few days but now they are no good and a waste of money.
Not Connecting. After reading the reviews I was unsure if my Galaxy Buds FE would connect to the new iPad (10th gen). I gave it ago and immediately realised that it would not connect, what was I expecting really? The Galaxy buds FE are a really good product and work really well, it’s just a shame that I can’t use the app as well as many other Apple users on here.
Dissapointing. Samsung really disappointed me here by not including the old buds - Something iPhone does very well imo. I bought these not long ago and now I have to spend another $200 just to use an app I can use on every other phone. Learn from your mistakes and release a software update allowing ios connectivity you rats
If you only have an iPhone DONT BUY!!!. This app is only compatible with two specific earbuds the buds live and buds +. Despite not being told until after you buy them, this app does not offer full support to any other earbuds. Meaning that you will be unable to customise your listening experience.
When they work, they are good. After multiple times of unsuccessfully trying to connect with my new 2020 iPad Pro, I am writing this review. I have the Buds+ bought earlier this year. My first problem earlier in the year was connecting with my iPod touch (newest one) - the app is not compatible with it. I contacted Samsung support and they were hopeless and told me to go into a store - the closest to me is 2 hrs drive and, oh, COVID19! Then I had connectivity problems putting my phone into my bag - it wouldn’t connect properly and was crackly. One day my audiobook kept stopping. As others have said, they are very sensitive to touch, and by adjusting them, I skip songs or book chapters. Never a problem with Bose, connection has always been fine. As I said, this new connection problem, with the new iPad Pro just tipped me over. In Bluetooth it shows them as connected, and they show up on the app on the iPad Pro when I open the case, I’ve updated the software, but on the iPad it says the iPad can’t be found! Waste of money. They look great though... I won’t contact support, given the problems I had with them before.
Some new features. It will be nice if you could add a command to skip ads. my galaxy buds + had a issue of having low volume all I have to do was remove the metal mesh carefully and clean it. and it worked perfectly (I just thought other people were having this problem too)
WHY!!!. I downloaded the app from the App Store only to open it on my new iPhone and I get greeted with “can’t open this app, not compatible with this device” which is strange because I’m running iOS 14.7.1 ant the app is compatible with iOS 10 onwards if any one has any suggestions that would be great.
Not compatible for iPhone 6/6s. I was tossing up between AirPod pros and the galaxy buds + because I heard great things about the new galaxy buds + and saw Samsung had released an app to help with connectivity and customisation of the earbuds to keep up with apple’s ecosystem. ONLY REASON I CHOSE THE GALAXY BUDS + WAS BECAUSE OF THE APP INTRODUCED AND I CANT EVEN USE THE APP. If you can connect to the earbuds, you should be able to use the app, plain a simple. Such a huge disappointment. These are just some standard, not unique, earbuds now because I can’t add ambient mode and therefore using these in public is actually very dangerous. And upgrading to a newer phone is way more expensive than just buying the AirPod pros. You need to make this app compatible for at least the iPhone 6/6s.
NO PROBLEMS HERE.. I’m happy with my Galaxy Buds Live purchase. They work fine with my iPhone 11 I’ve had them for a over a month now. SO FAR SO GOOD. 👍
Doesn’t connect to my Galaxy Buds2. I don’t understand why the app has to have only 2 product categories: the buds live and the buds+. I have the Galaxy Buds2 and unfortunately i am not able to connect it to my iPad Air. Surely the app wasn’t created for such limited options. Do better Samsung smh. 🙄😠
Worked for me. Just because there are quite a few bad reviews, I thought I’d say that everything worked for me first time.
Thanks for helping me 👍. Thanks to you guys I have been able to connect to my earbuds. The step to step way you guys showed me was easy and understandable. Thanks again
Doesn’t open on supposedly compatible device. I downloaded this app, having checked it was compatible with my device - iOS 12.5.5. The specs said it was compatible with iOS10 and above. Lie! I downloaded it and could not open it. “Not compatible with your device.” I’ve been on a chat withSamsung for the last hour to no avail. This is completely false advertising! Now all I can do with my buds is listen through them. I can’t control them at all. A waste of money due to false pretences on the part of Samsung.
Not as expected. When I first bought Galaxy Buds pro for IPhone it seemed like a great idea, all I would be losing was the sound control, when I found out Samsung released an app for Galaxy Buds which gave you the options like on a Samsung phone I was excited but when I found out it was incompatible with anything but the Live or Plus I was dumbfounded. Why not just update it for the newer models like Pro, 2 or the original and Samsung hasn’t released a new app or update so I guess it will stay this way for a long while.
Samsung buds or software error.. I bought this just 2 days ago. Every time I try to activate noise cancelation, it shows working. But I can every single particle around me. I’m way much confused whether it’s buds error or the software error. It should be fixed because we buy it with 250 AUD. Is this for not getting a active noice cancellation device?
iPhone 6S+ Incompatible.. Very excited to try out my new buds after choosing the Samsung galaxy buds+ over the AirPods, only to find out that the app is incompatible with iPhones before iPhone 7.. Extremely disappointed as this was not advertised anywhere that I could find, and the reason for an incompatibility for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds seems ridiculous.
The buds are no longer worth my money. I purchased the buds live for compatibility between my iPad Pro and Samsung Note devices, although after the purchase I now find out the application does not support the iPad. This is terrible, the application should easily be compatible with an iPad Pro. Am I really required to own full Samsung devices to use my purchases efficiently? I knew this was correct for Apple but really Samsung?
Can’t use app with iPhone 6s. iPhone 7 minimum requirement doesn’t make sense. iPhone 6s has the latest iOS in 2022 and has same hardware as iPhone 7. Can’t even customise or configure the buds I just got. So they’ve been returned. 😒 Edit: iPhone 6s has exact same hardware as iPhone 7. Both will support iOS 15 so still unsure why 6s can’t be supported. Anyway returned the buds live for AirPods. Won’t buy anything Samsung again 👍🤡
Please read before you buy them. The buds themselves are amazing and such a great product, but make sure you open the app before you buy them. If it says ‘not compatible with your device’ then sadly it will not work. Not hating on Samsung at all, they are such a great product and I love them so much, it is just a shame they don’t work on all devices (I have the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and does not work). This has come straight from Samsung: If your device is an A1701, A1709 or even A1852 it will not be compatible with the app (these are specific model numbers for an iPad) I do understand this app was made for iPhones initially and it still does support the later iPad Pros so if the app won’t work on earlier models that just has to be and we adapt around that. Hope this helped! And thank you so much Samsung or all your cooperative behavior which not many companies have. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you will take this into consideration. Thank you and have a great day! 💜 (Also I appreciate your company collaborating with BTS 😁) Response: Thank you so much Samsung for your lovely responses you are such a great company 😄 There is always so much hate on Samsung but that is all false. Have an awesome day!
Be warned! App not compatible on IPhone with Buds 2. I’m super annoyed having purchased these- not realising that the app (when used on iphone) is not compatible with the Buds 2. The app cannot even pick up the headphones. So I connected through Bluetooth; which is great and works. But you can only use the headphones to stop and play music. For the price of this that’s absolutely to absurd! I could of brought a $40 pair from a different brand that at least I could turn the sound up and down or skip songs!!!
Not compatible????. It says my device is compatible in the settings and options of the app but when I open the app it won’t let me use it due to not being compatible do you know how to fix the issue
Couldn’t Update Software. After countless attempts over 6+ months I still cannot update the software on the Galaxy Earbuds from my iPhone. I forever get the error message “Couldn’t update software. There was a problem connecting to the server. Try again later.” I’ve reset the device, removed the Bluetooth connections, deleted and reinstalled the Galaxy Earbuds software in countless combinations. I really want this software to work as I love the buds. They need updating as they are having connection issues with my iPhone.
Galaxy buds+. I have had my buds for about 8 months, the sound is almost inaudible, I have cleaned and tried every fix available on the internet, these buds are a waste of money, they hardly last a year. It’s no wonder why I don’t buy Samsung devices if this is the stuff they put out to the public.
Doesn’t Work on IPad Air 2. This app is not compatible with IPad Air 2 device, in App Store it is compatible but have tried 2 times and both times when you start the setup process it then says it is not Compatible with my Device. I have the latest version 15.1 of software
Functionally useless.. Seems that the developers aren’t in any rush to make this app useful at all. I recently bought the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and cannot pair them with my iOS device within the application to take advantage of any in-app functions. Considering I paid $350 AUD for the earphones, one would hope that I would have the ability to skip the current song without having to pull my phone out of my pocket. Maybe I’m just asking too much.
Garbage app does not support modern Buds. Galaxy Buds2 used with a Samsung phone yet they are not discoverable by this app which was last updated more than 3 years ago. Samsung - time has moved on since the last update and how about the app is given some love and attention? Less than 1 star rating for now.
:(. The app isn’t compatible with my iPhone SE and I wanted to cry cuz I spent $150 but the quality is fine for now I just wanted to see what it was like adjusting it and getting the full experience of the headphones :(
Terrible do not recommend buying Samsung buds. Have the buds plus, thought the app was supposed to be good. Shame I did not read the reviews before I bought the buds. My buds are connected but the app says I need to connect them and the screen is locked basically. Can’t confirm or update software. What a waste of money buying the buds. Honestly sound ordinary anyway but unable to play with settings in the app because it says they are not connected as I am listening to music
Galaxy Buds2. Hello, With the Samsung galaxy buds2 I can connect them to my Bluetooth in settings perfectly fine but it won’t find them when I go into the app and I have done everything I could think of. Do you know how to get them to work on this app?
Good app. Samsung i love your galaxy buds + they have great comfort and have great speakers. the last time this app was updated was 3 years ago and i would like to request maybe a big update to the app maybe add more features for more customisability
Won’t update. Hey I really enjoy using the earbuds but for some reason the app won’t update them as it just keeps saying can’t connect to server, I have reset the app and earbuds and re-downloaded the app to. Any help would be appreciated thanks
Issues. The app isn’t working for me. It says devices found when trying to connect but then nothing shows. I’m doing as the directions say but it doesn’t work. I’m using a galaxy buds 2 pro and an iPhone 8 Plus and I’ve tried on my iPad 9 as well. Please help me.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Will never buy Samsung again.. I can connect my buds via blue tooth to the iPhone 12 but when I try and use this app it says device not appearing. Even though I can listen to music from the buds this app make can’t detect the buds. What gives. Unless this is fixed. This will be the last Samsung product I ever buy. Update: my model is SM-R170 Update 2: Thank for the reply, so what you’re saying is that they, will not work, as advertised, because backwards compatibility with the app is not supported. I bought them last December. I’ll return them as faulty immediately. Update 3: got a full refund, retailer says this is a constant issue which Samsung doesn’t care about.
Disappointing no support for original buds. Shame on you Samsung, you finally release an app for the galaxy buds on IOS and there is no support for the buyers of the original buds, why would anyone bother to upgrade to the buds+ when going by your track record here, you will stop all support for them too in 12 months time. I won’t make the mistake of buying your product again.
Works perfectly on iOS 16.1.1 with Buds Live. Not sure why all the low ratings. I’ve had a good experience.
Galaxy Buds Pro don’t connect to the app on iPhone!. I wish I new that I could not get the Galaxy Buds app to connect to my new $350 Ear Buds Pro. Not Pro at all !! I like Samsung and have always found their products to work well but this is extremely disappointing. I paid the extra for the Pro so I could use all the cool features on the app. Should have said “it won’t work on the iPhone” some place in all the fancy advertising about how great the product is. I called the help line and they just said “it does work on the iPhone”. Wow thanks for that!! How about fixing the problem. When will this be fixed??
Doesnt even work.. Says its compatible with ipod, have the newest ipod up to date, lets me download the app, then in the app it says its not compatible??? What gives samsung? Extremely disappointed Edit: seems the developers dont even know what they have on the compatibility section. “Requires iOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch”
Useless product. I can’t understand the reason why the Airbuds 2 pro are not compatible with the app for iOS. You guys sell an expensive product that doesn’t have compatibility. The audio is superior to the AirPods, but all I can do is to use them with Bluetooth, i can’t take advantage of any of the features for your poor compatibility!!! Where can I return my product????
Compatibility issues. Hi I am using a iPhone 6s with the latest available OS. Upon installing the Samsung buds app and trying to use, its throwing an error stating “Can’t open this app ; Not compatible with your device”. Kindly request you to please provide an update so I could use it with my phone. Would be really helpful if it’s possible. Thanks
Works good with IPhones but not IPad. This app is mainly made for Galaxy Buds + and Live so it may not worked with the normal Galaxy buds because of software reasons. But with iPhone it worked perfectly and I was happy with the experience. HOWEVER, this app says it’s not “compatible” for IPADS (fully updated) which I find pretty annoying for me. So I would ask Samsung to please make it compatible for iPads.
Works well. The buds themselves are fantastic, got the live buds free with my Samsung phone at the time, anyway I’ve gone over to Apple and wanted to continue using these buds. Downloaded this app and followed instructions. Piece of cake. The idiots leaving negative reviews are not following directions correctly. You have to pair the buds in settings as well even if it shows paired. There should be 2 paired at the same time to work. To the developers, nice job on the app…5 stars from me!
Why can’t Apple make Samsung headphones shapes for people that have disability ears. So I’m a girl that has a smoothie and a biggie and I’m just coming on here to say why can’t you make a good app for Samsung for iPhone? If people can’t buy the Samsung phone because apples cheaper and just gonna say this please make the alphabet better to connect to FE headphones.
Won’t Open. Won’t let me use the app. I have a IPhone 6 and the first galaxy buds. I would like to adjust some settings but when I try to open the app it won’t work. I have downloaded and deleted this app many times trying to get it to work but it never does.
Do not buy Samsungs earbuds. The Galaxy buds FE do connect with my iPhone 15 Pro Max perfectly via Bluetooth, but let me tell you the absolute kicker… the earbuds are soft locked behind the APP to be activated to USE ITS FULL FUNCTIONS, like turn up or down the music, play next song, like basic stuff. Now, the app doesn’t find the ear buds and from a few hours of research, there’s no fix. I tried all the tips and tricks, trying to avoid to have them send back etc. The app has not been updated, so Samsung basically gave up on it and lets you hold the bag with a pair of earbuds that are rendered almost useless without it. This was my first try with a Samsung product and it will be my last.
Doesn’t work with Galaxy Pro. I had some Buds Live which broke within an hour so I was given some Pro as a replacement. I was happy with this and I like them but because I can’t use the app with an iPhone I can’t turn off the touch commands. Every time I put them in my ears or try to adjust the fit I end up starting a heap of commands which is really annoying. I don’t know if it’s Samsung or Apple that is delaying an update to the app for Pro but I wish they’d hurry up!
Don’t get if planing to use on an ipad. I got the galaxy buds plus because I wanted to use them with both my phone and iPad, and I can’t because it’s not compatible! I have read developer responses to other reviews and they have said that there is not iPad version available. Well then Samsung, make an app! By making an iPad based app, you would make many customers happy, and bring business up. Respond when an app is finally made. My iPad model is iPad Pro 9.7, with the latest update.
Done everything. After spending a great deal of time on live chat and following every instruction such as, Turn phone on/off Bluetooth on/off Buds reset, numerous times Bluetooth says I am connected so I go to my audio book and it continues to play through my phone. I have followed ALL instructions still won’t play I know they are working and 100%charged Latest versions on both phone and app. I know my phone is capable of accepting as this is now my third set of buds, they have been lost, flushed and gone through the washing machine It’s not me or my mobile, think I have a lemon. I have solved the problem. It was this simple which you should include with your problem solving instructions Delete the app from your phone and App Library download again follow the on screen instructions and your connected. This I only learnt from you tube, maybe your call centre need some better training
Is the app compatible with the iPhone se?. Considering the iPhone se released the same year as the iPhone 7 is it compatible with the app?
App can’t find buds. Hey, rather than trying to trouble shoot uneducated users to an unsuccessful conclusion….maybe just get your programming minds together and develop the app so that it works seamlessly. As a customer, we just want to buy, download and use. After paying the high price for the product, we should not be left with frustration of troubleshooting what should “ just work” Just saying
Doesn’t work with galaxy buds 2 on iPhone. Really annoying to work and then find out that the app doesn’t work with the galaxy buds2 on an iPhone so I’m unable to track and customise my earbuds. Really disappointing for such a big brand. Update- it’s been almost a year and still no update to the app, unable to customise Galaxy buds 2 on iPhone, extremely disappointing that they only allow pairing of the beans and pros when they offer so many other earbuds. Frustrating and disappointing.

Doesn’t work on iPhone. I have an iPhone 6S plus. iOS 13.3.1. App Store states that my device is compatible. But app does not work. Error message states “can’t open this app. Not compatible with your device”. Galaxy Buds + hardware works great and excellent product. Why is the app available on App Store if it doesn’t work? How did this get past QA? Please have an update available soon.
Scam-job app. This app does nothing. Keeps asking me to update and does not detect my earbuds. Scam-job.
Update this app or bring back Galaxy Wearable app to iPhone. I got Galaxy Buds 3 and own an iPhone I want to use all the features on it and you can’t on iPhone cause it doesn’t have Galaxy Wearable app. At least update this app! They don’t even have an option to add the new Buds 3! And this app was updated 3 years ago. Unbelievable
Déçu. Je suis déçu je n’arrive pas à associé mes buds pro à l’application sachant que je perds toujours mes buds j’ai peur, je ne saurais pas comment les retrouver.
Old app. App has not yet been updated to wear app for newer buds
Already connected Buds FE but App cant find it. Hi, I ordered my Buds FE in the past 2 weeks and seeing I could unlock potential benefits from this device by using the Galaxy Buds app, I downloaded it and the app just can’t find the device. Thanks
App does not support Galaxy Buds FE. Time for an update folks! Your app doesn't support your newest products. Come on now!
Please help. I bought the Samsung Buds FE and they dont want to pair :(
Dumb app. The galaxy buds 2 are great but can’t be paired to the app on my iOS which sucks because I can’t change any of the settings or anything to do with the earbuds.
How to reset my Buds?. Following my question from earlier. You said to reset my Buds+. However in order to reset my Buds+ I need to connect to the App. But I cannot connect to the App.
Not iPhone compatible. I was super disappointed to find that my galaxy bud pros wouldn’t sync with the app :(
Not supporting devices. Please add buds pro3
Update the app already. The galaxy buds pro features don’t work on the iPhone. Samsung update the app already it’s been out for like awhile now. Like what’s taking so long??
One year later. Still no S buds pro support, so a big no go for this app.
Great purchase !. I bought the Samsung Galaxy Bud+ and it works perfectly ! Sometimes the left bud doesn’t connect right away but it’s an easy fix.
Not connecting. I have an IPhone 11 and the Galaxy buds 2 is there any reason it shouldn’t connect?
Buds Pro NOT CONNECTING. Buds Pro never even is detected, Nov.2021 = still never worked, no matter if app updates or not, a newer version came out also, so they will never support the original that came out same time as app did, WHAT A FAIL PRODUCT, I HATE THE TOUCH PART ALWAYS SCREWS UP VIDEOS AND AUDIO, PLEASE FIRE INVENTOR OF SUCH A SILLY FEATURE! AND THIS APP CREATOR!
Please update the app so I can connect with my Galaxy Buds Pro. Please update
Update please!!!. Need to connect my buds pro to my iphone. Thankyou!
Don’t bother with this app. This app does not do what it’s supposed to for your Samsung galaxy earbuds with iDevices. I was able to connect my earbuds by leaving them in the charging case then touch both ear buds for a couple seconds till they appeared in the Bluetooth scan devices. That was the way to do it properly.
stupid samsung. The buds pro has been launched for years and the app still not available. That’s stupid! Plus the developer never say anything useful. They just copy and paste. If this is what you can do, why not just say that in the item description? I have never seen any apps that not update for more than one year! Good job Samsung!
Does not support buds 2 pro, why limit the capacity?. I don’t understand why you are releasing buds without updating the app to support other earbuds you have, and you won’t build any app to support the buds 2 and buds 2 pro for iPhone users. I think I should be able to enjoy my buds 2 pro even if I am using iPhone.
Not compatible with the iPod touch 7th generation. I guess the app is not compatible with the iPod Touch 7th gen. I guess I’ll have to use the buds live without app support. Too bad
Not compatible with Buds Pro. I have a Buds Pro. But its seems not to be supported here somehow. Is there a way to mitigate this? Thanks.
App compatibility original buds. The app doesn’t work with the original buds that’s just disgraceful of Samsung. Worst company ever
Galaxy buds pro Still No app Support for IOS after 4 months.. It's been over 4 Months since the Galaxy Buds Pro Came out and Still no support for IOS, Shame!! That's why I never use Samsung Products again, about to return the bud pro now and will never buy any Samsung product again. Still the same Samsung I left for ios.
Will not find galaxy buds fe on I phone. If you are using an iPhone the app will not find the “ galaxy buds fe”.
Can’t connect. It says that I couldn’t connect my galaxy earbuds + even tho I followed all the instructions. Ian’s I can’t fix this problem.
literally had to return my earbuds the next day cause this app sucks. The app just couldn’t for the life of it context to my earbuds even after looking stuff up and going to their own website it was all useless, went out and returned it, bought a pair of jabras instead and hey their app actually works!
Help. I have an iPhone 11 and galaxy buds pro but they wont pair what should I do? Are they pairable??
Galaxy buds pro. Still no support for buds pro👎
Iphone pro 11 max can’t connect. My galaxy buds won’t connect
Useless. Useless app that does not work
Budd. Why don’t you guys have the Samsung Buds Pro ?
Can’t find galaxy buds +. My iPhone can find my earbuds fine but the app cannot find them no matter what so I am unable to get any firmware updates. I’ve tried putting them in pairing mode, unpairing them from my phone, closing and reopening the case, uninstalling and reinstall the app but no matter what it won’t find my earbuds.
Buds pro are not included. Please add the feature for Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Without the app, the buds pro are not much worthy.
Bring the support for samsung buds first gen. I was happy to know that samsung is brining an app for buds for ios but when i found out that this does not support the first gen galaxy buds, i was disappointed. Samsung should bring the first edition support as well.
Galaxy buds Pro. When will the galaxy buds pro be on the app.
App. One of my earbuds touch controls are broken and it dose not have galaxy buds 2
This app doesn’t work for recent ANYTHING don’t expect to connect your new buds. Just as the title said, apple took away the actual app that can connect to the latest for NO reason and they’re just petty
No connection option for galaxy buds 2. My buddy just gave me a pair of galaxy buds 2 because my other earbuds broke but I can’t use any features of the earbuds because I can’t connect them to the app
If I lose them. The find my earbuds function only works if the earbuds are connected and doesn’t show where the case is located on a map
Get off your —— and fix this!. You’re not doing your job!
Be careful when you buy galaxy buds3. App not available with IOS !!. Just bought galaxy buds3. Was super excited because the review what really good. But really disappoiment. Confort is ok (not my favorite) You dont have access to any app so you miss a lot of feature. Noise cancelling by example. Please fix this !!
Works great with the galaxy buds+. I’m surprised that people are giving 1 star review when it’s clearly stated in the app description that this is for the new buds+ it’s even in the app name itself. So please stop giving this a 1 star when you don’t have the buds+ because if you do it works perfectly. So now that we can control everything in the App this by far better than the AirPods even the AirPods pro . I can finally do software update and change the touch control. Good job on Samsung team
Update the Apppp!!!. Update the app already Jheez Apple user use galaxy buds tooooooo I’ve had 3 new pairs since I’ve noticed this app and they all don’t support this app because they are newer versions cause your app only takes the first 2 generation and buds have came out with so much more versions
Stupid app. I have Galaxy buds pro 2s and this app doesn’t think they exist. I’ve tried deleting all instances of the buds from the phone too. It just doesn’t connected no matter which galaxy buds connection it is.
Buz live software update is not working.. Tried to update driver but doesn’t work.
please add support for the new galaxy buds pro. please add support for the new galaxy buds pro
not compatible with buds 3 pro. just bought samsung buds 3 pro and i can not connect those in this app . can you add support for those as well?

Does not work- do not buy these headphones. I bought these $200 earbuds that I can't control because the app does not work. I have no clue how to check the noise canceling works or even if I need to get an update. This app simply does not work. Save your money or buy a $1 store earbuds. These are useless Edit - I use the iPad Pro 4th generation, the iPad Air 4th generation and the iPhone 11 plus and it did not work on anything. I even tried to connect through my windows surface laptop 3 and it did not work. The headphones I used was the horrible Samsung Galaxy Buds pro. Often this manufacture in bad reviews suggest we don’t have the updated phone or software. But in my case, I had the newest apple and Samsung buds products. They are horrible buyer beware!
Great Product. I saw so many negative comments that felt obligated to leave a good one. I’m really happy with the app and the buds live. The sound is great and the volume is high. Once you charge the buds, the app connects to them right away. Just make sure you enable everything when installing it, and read the prompts. I have an iPhone 8 and XR and it works without issues on both. By the way, props to the developer for the level and time of response. I don’t see this type or service everywhere. Much appreciated.
Thanks.
Bought Galaxy buds pro and the software is AWFUL. Managed to connect basic Bluetooth but could not connect the headphones to the iOS version of the app. Tried the methods in the review section and nothing. The headphones can work fine but you can’t change settings which doesn’t justify the anc as the app allows further upgrades to anc. When connected to laptop it would offer two audio outputs, stereo and hands free audio, couldn’t get stereo to work even though I got rid of all the drivers, reinstalled them, multiple times, and nothing. Hands free audio has the same sound output quality as 10$ headphones. I’m never buying galaxy again. Most frustrating experience with headphones of my life!!!!!!
Just doesn’t work. Start with the fact that the app listed on the website doesn’t seem to exists and this one appears to be the closest. Next, the app will not connect to my buds2 pro even though the earbuds have no problem finding and connecting to my iPhone 11. I would use them without manual configuration through the app but the controls are not functioning as advertised (can pause but cannot play) and they keep pausing randomly so I wanted to see how they’re configured in the first place. Pretty disappointing for the amount of time and money spent on them as most other products seem to work intuitively right out of the box. Seriously dude…
FIVE STAR OFF THE RIPPER. It’s march 21 of the 23rd year millennium at 9:57 am here in the city of Santa Clara San Jose ca .start off with this app ,I think the whole team who came up with this is amazing and they deserve a high five .app works like a champ never failed on me simple to use and very responsive specially with these sick@ś$ new galaxy live I got man in having a blast can’t say anything bad bout this review because there’s nothing to complain about . . .I’m Junior man everyone be safe and God bless all my good peoples.. peeeeeeaaaaaaaaaccccceeeeeeeeeee✌️
App doesn’t work for iPhone. I download the app the app doesn’t work. It saying to update there’s no update. I continue with recognizing the device. It says no device it found, but my husband phone is able pick up the the device because he have a Samsung and the app it built in his phone. This app is useless for iPhones and the device it self is trash to me because my right ear buds is no longer working it doesn’t want to charge and how convenient it would go out right after my 30 days of my purchase. I look up the problem issues with Samsung ear buds, the known issue is that the buds want charge. I will stick with apple products and if there’s an issue at least they will try to fix it. On the other hand Samsung doesn’t.
Galaxy buds + / galaxy buds pro. The app had no problem on downloading and installing on my iPhone 15 pro max, it my first iPhone always been galaxy user. I have galaxy buds + and the app had no problem in recognizing and pairing. I also try to pair my galaxy buds Pro but the app doesn’t find them… I am pretty sure that is a update thing my friend Sammy hasn’t update the app since they launch the app for iPhone or haven’t done it in a long time so newer buds aren’t recognized by the app. Still they work fine they pair by Bluetooth but don’t have the app advantage like the buds + have. Hope Samsung some day update the app or apple who ever is in charge of it.
Great app. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. This app is great. It opens immediately, connects the buds+ very quickly, allows customization of each independent bud. It shows each of their battery and the case’s battery power. It allows you to change the musical sound profile. It allows you to make your buds chirp so you can find them if they’re lost and not in the case. I don’t understand why all the negative reviews. I’m assuming it’s by people who didn’t know the app was only for the + versions of the buds. This app doesn’t crash and it works very well. It’s been super reliable.
Can you hear me now? Because I can’t hear you!. USELESS! Was so excited and pleased with the earbuds for a week then the volume kept going away in one or the other earbud and now I can only hear a faint whisper of sound on both earbuds when the volume is turned all the way up?!?!? Found out this is only fixable through the app but the app does not work on my iPhone and I come to read here on the app info that it’s incompatible with my earbuds SM-R170?!?!? Really???? Nowhere on the packaging or earbud information does it say it’s incompatible... Label your products compatibility so people don’t waste hard earned money please. I was very disappointed to download the app thinking I found the solution only to read on it that my earbuds are useless with my device. Why was this info not on the box of earbuds?
Not a terrible app. As the title says this isn’t a terrible app by any means I found it worked really well with my galaxy buds + but since than I have lost those and upgraded to the buds 2 and to my surprise they aren’t supported by the app which is honestly really sad because going from the galaxy buds+ and having all this support to the buds 2 not having any support other than being able to pair them to my phone I can’t see the battery life with them, I can’t change the settings etc so please Samsung I love the earbuds but please add support for the buds 2
Connectivity is terrible. Received the buds they seemed to connect right away no issues worked great. Then after about 2 weeks they would connect and as soon as I start to listen to music, Sirius, Netflix they would disconnect and then reconnect to and repeat the process. (This is with my iPhone 7). Works fine for calls . The same happens when I listen to my iPad. Went to app. did recent update to no avail also reset the buds same issue. Now I see in my Bluetooth , galaxy buds + (7145) LE connected and they in fact are not , I can only connect to galaxy buds + (7145) that doesn’t work. Frustrated because I have tried everything to fix and nothing works! I will more than likely be returning these and researching another product!
I like them but. I really like the headphones and I think the app is very easy to use but I do have a suggestion for the app and headphones. I think there should be a locator for each headphone and the case. I’m very very forgetful and I actually just lost them again. I know their somewhere in my house but I think my cat has stolen it. If there were a locator for the the headphones I would be able to find them in a few minutes instead of not knowing for a few days. Anyway I still highly recommend the app and headphones they work very well. (I have the galaxy buds plus)
Buds+ App is Dope!. For people like me who just bought the new GalaxyBuds+ wondering whats going on with all the negative reviews...the app works perfectly fine! Download it! The negative reviews and low star ratings are from people who are confused. The app is only for the new GalaxyBuds+. Older buds don’t work. There’s a lot of neat and useful options the app provides like ambient sound and equalizer settings. THE only thing I had a problem with was the double tap to turn the volume up...I don’t know where exactly to tap on the “outer earbud”, but maybe I’m an idiot lol. Anyway, great app! Highly recommend!
This app is not compatible for plus or bud 2 headphones!. I bought some galaxy buds 2, because I heard they were great and I can’t afford air pod pros. I was extremely excited for them to arrive, as I have never owned a good pair of true wireless earbuds. However, I spent some time looking at review videos, before finding out that this app currently does not support Galaxy Buds 2. This made me sort of sad, because as an ios user, I would not have access to most of the features on my brand new headphones. Samsung, I really really hope that in the future, you would be able to add galaxy buds 2 and pro to this app. I loved your headphones, and I really wouldn’t want to return them. Thank you for listening to my mini-rant. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST SAMSUNG! And if you could Samsung, please fix the problem.
Won’t pair with fakes(!). The title is obvious, but it is also true. I read the reviews carefully then went ahead and bought my buds+. Sure enough, IOS BT pairing was fine, but the app would not find them. However, the Asian lady voice that said “Bluetooth is connected” was a quick giveaway that these perfectly looking buds+ were a fake. Also the blinking lights. I quickly got my money back (eBay) and bought another set—after confirming with the seller that it would pair with this App. And now everything is great.
Works fine for me. Worked fine with my Samsung phone, works fine on iOS. Not sure what the displeasure with the app is, it’s basic but it’s fine. Set a shortcut so it automatically opens when the buds connect. EQ is minimal and doesn’t change a ton but the app controls ANC and touch controls, it’ll make the buds chirp if you drop one and they still have juice. Ultimately, I’m WAY too happy with the call quality, clarity, case size, form factor, etc. of the buds to get that upset about the app.
A solution for connect problems 😁👌🏻. Okay so I too was having issues connect my galaxy buds plus to my iPhone 11 which I just got and my iPad 6th gen. So here is a possible solution that worked for me. 1 First make sure the galaxy buds plus app is NOT installed. 2 Then take your galaxy buds plus out of there case and place in your ears. 3 Then place your finger on both touch pads and wait for your galaxy buds plus to enter pair mode. 4 Open setting app and go to Bluetooth and pair your galaxy buds plus with your iPhone through the settings app. 5 Don’t stop reading yet you will still get your functionality. 6 Once paired try playing music. If you hear through the galaxy buds then you are connected. 7 Now go to the AppStore and download Samsung galaxy buds plus app. 8 Open app and go through the set up and agree to all of it. This is what worked for me I hope it helps others that are trying to figure it out
STILL WON'T CONNECT.. I've had this app for a year now and it still won't work. my earbuds are connected to my phone and they used to play sound but one of my earbuds went very, very quiet and now both do not work. I looked up troubleshooting but everthing says to just reset them in the app but I can't if the app just keeps saying "no devices found." and when i look up troubleshooting for that ALL IT SAYS IS TO RESET THEM IN THE APP. HOW AM I MEANT TO RESET THEM IN THE APP IF I CAN'T CONNECT THEM TO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. so now I have earbuds that play so quiet I can't hear them and an app that is completely useless to me. I have an iPhone SE 2020 and I have to admit that my galaxy buds+ are very old but it shouldnt be this hard to use a product that I bought with my own money.
Good app. At first I tried to connect with my buds already connected to my phone before I got the app and I think that’s what most people are doing wrong. To make this app really work you have to go to Bluetooth and tap on the device then press “forget device” and uninstall the app and then re-download it leave the case open and press accept to the pop ups for Bluetooth for it to work. I hope people read this and fix their issue.
Samsun buds app. Doesnt matter if its an Apple or Samsung wireless headset but since apple isnt Samsung, you cant configure the Samsung earbuds like in a samsung device. If apple is allowed to pair with samsung wearables then apple should be on time with updating these apps to where we can use the device and configure the device. I just bought samsung buds pro and the buds app doesnt even have the new headphones yet…..why is that? So does that mean buying a samsung device and switching over? Thats just stupid. I decided to stop buying apple wireless earphones because I was always losing them and they get dirty easily so thats why I decided to go with samsung. It would be great to have the app updated.
feel deceived. bought buds + for wireless listening of a police scanner. after comparing all of the options out there these were the best ones for me... as advertised. I have ios, i can control their features through the app i thought. but in reality, the app is not compatible with my ipad pro. they sound fine, feel and look great, but they are not everything that i purchased. actually they are missing quite a lot of the functionality that i had been under the impression that i was paying for. the app has let me down. and its let the product it supports down as well. it should be stated that ios support is coming soon, or being rolled out, or not stated at all. because its clearly not ready.
Read the reviews. I read through the reviews and the answer is that the developers gave. I have an eighth generation iPad. So I downloaded the app. I received the instructions and my buds say they’re connected however, I can still hear the music to my iPad and not through the buds. I removed the app download it again and I keep getting info that says that the buds are connected however I can’t hear music through them only through the iPad. So if this only works with the newer iPads then why isn’t it working with mine? The developer who created this doesn’t care whether those buds are connected or not. Even following the instructions to the T I still cannot hear any music through the air buds only through that iPad.
Lazy, unprofessional, and a scam. Samsung should be embarrassed creating an app that has hardly has any features on it. Samsung is unprofessional because when they created this app they knew it was garbage due to the fact you can’t do much with the app all you can do is change like 4 or 3 sounds qualities. I saved the best part for last DO NOT SUPPORT SAMSUNG because they app does not locate you earbuds. There is a circle on the earbuds if covered they don't detect them which scams people because if you drop them in grass or debris you can’t use the app to find them because it’ll think it’s in your ear. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT SAMSUNG BUSINESS IN MY LIFE AGAIN I HOPE PEOPLE WILL DO THE SAME. Would’ve been nice if they programmed the app to detect them no matter what
Galaxy buds pro.
Nearly flawless... any chance we can get multipoint support?. I’ve tried them all including the Jabras, AirPod Pros, etc. So far the Buds + have been the best wireless earbuds I’ve ever owned. In fact, I just ordered a second pair in blue because these Buds are that impressive. The App works well for me to configure and update the ear buds. Please follow instructions and open the case to connect to the buds from the app. I’ve gone through 2 firmware updates for the buds so far which is always a positive sign of a mfr committed to improving their product. I love the fact that both sides of the buds make independent connection with the device. When on family road trips, I prefer to wear only my left so I can carry a conv with the family. A highly rated competitor earbuds only connected on the right side which was very limiting. I also find it super useful to be able to control volume right from the ear buds without having to pull out the phone. Labs double tap volume control works very well for me. Perfect when I’m using both hands while in the backyard or garage. The battery life on these are second to none and allows me to wear them comfortably all day without worrying about recharging. I have yet to actually drain them from usage. Enough sound is sealed out by design, I don’t miss not having active noise cancellation. The ambient sound feature allows me hear what’s going on without removing my buds. For me, the Buds fit comfortably right out of the box. Very slight soreness after taking them off if I wear them for hours but that’s pretty normal. Like all Bluetooth devices, it will lose connection with your phone once in a while but that’s not all that unusual. I’d be willing to give up couple of hours of battery life if they can somehow make the connection even more rock solid. Lastly, if Samsung can enable multipoint, as originally spec’d, so I can seamlessly switch between my iPhone and MBP, Buds+ would probably be the best audio device in the market for sure.
Connectivity for full use of options. So I love my new Galaxy ear buds but I am having the same issue as most on these reviews . I can not take full advantage of there capabilities because the app does not work with iPhone … :-( , no equalizer and sound features. Just for reference I also tried many times to delete and uninstall the app just to wish and hope it would since and pair / no luck . I can only pair directly from the system pairing feature on the phone not through the app. So just so Samsung knows I love my ear pods but I wish I could really use them with my work issued iOS iPhone and use all the features , For that I give just 2 stars. If this ever gets fixed it would be automatically a 5 star.
App works but the buds must be paired via BT before using the app.. I read the reviews and seen how people were having issues connecting their buds using the app. I also had no luck, even though the app said the buds were connected the music would still play through the phone’s speakers. Here’s what I did to fix it… I uninstalled the app and then attempted to pair the buds manually through the BT settings. I opened the case with the buds in them and they appeared in the BT list. I paired them and checked to make sure that they worked. Once they worked, I reinstalled the app and now I have access to the other features for adjusting the sound style and noise cancelling.
App can’t connect to buds.. Jan 5th 2021, New galaxy buds+ work fine with iPhone blue tooth. (Plays, touch to pause) Connects fine no issues. When I download this app and attempt to use it with galaxy buds the app can’t find the device. I’ve tried in the ear, out of ear, buds searching for blue tooth signal, & not. In charging container, out of container. The app simply can’t find the buds to connect with. Which makes this program absolutely worthless to me. This in turn makes my buds less versatile then apple buds which gives you more touch options while operating in ear. I suggest buying and using something other then Samsung for now, until their software actually works with iPhones & other Apple devices, If you use Apple products.
Difficulty Connecting. I own an iPhone 15+ and have been struggling to connect my Galaxy Buds Pro 2 to this app. The instructions say to leave the case opened and to hold on both earbuds while they are in your ear for three seconds, and a noise will appear. I have been repeatedly doing it for the past few hours and the noise has been going off but it still disclaims “Device not appearing?”. I hear the beep that lets you know if your advice is ready to pair but it still wont show up. Please help me out on this Im just trying to be able to skip songs without going on my phone! edit: i jus realized u cant even connect the pros to this 💀 mistaken it for the + option…
Works like I hoped!. Recently had to switch to an apple 13, from being an exclusive Samsung buyer for almost a decade. My job as a tattoo artist made it necessary in order to streamline and become more efficient for my clients. But I love my bud pros, and was scared that I couldn’t use them on a different platform. Fortunately, I still can. The app is almost exactly the same from the superior phone I had before lol. Still sounds great, and have had no issues. Keep up the good work and don’t forget about us forced converts!!
Don’t get for Apple devices. If you planning to get this hardware it is best for PCs or Samsung Devices not Apply iPhone or iPads. Voice and sound will not play or heard even when paired via app. Works well with my galaxy note and my many PCs including laptops also MacBook Pro. Using iPhone 11 Pro Max with the latest Apple update 14.4.1, it just would not work. Unpair and repair, uninstalled and reinstalled, it just doesn’t work. It pairs very well; Recognizes the bud plus but there are no sound while music is playing or during FaceTime; no voice and sound. I would recommend getting Apple ear pods, Apple beats or Jabra not these Galaxy buds plus for iPhone or iPads; not worth the time trying to figure out what the issues are. Its not the firmware on the Galaxy bud plus (before and after firmware updates) it still doesn’t work. Oh well!
Good buds, not so good app. I have an iPhone and it is fair to say that I will never ever own a Samsung phone . With that being said, I do like the buds live and my buds +! The issue is that the app opens on my iPhone but not my iPad. It’s been open now for a while on my iPad and I have the eternal buffer just spinning away using up my battery for no reason. I’ve looked online and have seen no solution. I have rebooted my iPad and no solution. I would like to use the app on my iPad to be able to adjust the equalizer settings, but again, it will not open. A part time app from a monster company Like Samsung is why my main hardware will always be made by Apple. I hope to see this fixed, but if not it’s Samsung so I understand.
Doesn’t even pair. I have normal Galaxy Buds. I know this app says Bud+ but the instructions say to download the wearables app and this was the only that came up. Can’t even tell on the case what my battery levels are at because it’s always either green or red, and the lights switch too depending on when I open or close the case... never really blink or don’t see anything in between like the manual says. App would’ve been useful to at least see how much battery I have left. Either way, tried a number of times and it didn’t pair. No other apps for my normal Galaxy Bud pair UPDATE: Now they’re trying to sell me the Buds+.... wasn’t even happy with the regular Buds and they want me to spend the extra money. Cost me $140 at Target and now they want me to spend another $150
Don’t listen to the clueless negative reviews awesome!. It’s apparent early reviewers cant read they tried to use this app for the original Galaxy Buds when it was made for the new Galaxy Buds+. Everything including the buds are amazing ambient mode sounds just as good as transparency mode on the AirPod pros I’ll be giving those to my son now I’m keeping the buds. I know its just a software issue but the only thing that needs correcting is how the ambient mode while on calls barely works its very low so doesn’t help so i just take one out and perfect calls are crystal clear!
Great app despite the reviews!. This app works great! If you take the time to read you’ll clearly see it says this app is for the plus buds. All functions work great and I can make any adjustments needed through this app. Thank goodness for app developers making Samsung products more compatible with iOS. Really love the ambient mode to hear what’s around me while never missing a second of my music/podcast etc. Honestly this makes it so much more affordable to have true wireless ear buds. Get the galaxy buds plus!
Underrated App!. I almost turned away from this app because of the quantity of poor reviews, but I saw that updates have been made recently and I decided to give it a try. I have an iPhone X and the blue Galaxy Buds+. All of the app features work great and I don’t have any connectivity issues. This is a well-functioning app and it deserves a much higher rating. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because aesthetics are important to me, and this app isn’t “pretty.” It has a very basic and (to be honest) boring look. But it functions well, and that’s what matters most!
Issue with Connecting Galaxy Buds FE to iPhone via Galaxy Wearable App. Dear Samsung Support Team, I am writing to report an issue I am experiencing with my Galaxy Buds FE when attempting to connect them to my iPhone via the Galaxy Wearable app. Despite following the recommended steps, including resetting the Buds and ensuring my iPhone's software is up to date, I am unable to establish a stable connection between the Buds and the app. The Buds do connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth, but I am unable to access or configure the settings through the Galaxy Wearable app as intended. Additionally, I have tried using the Galaxy Buds app available on the App Store, but the issue persists. I have also attempted reinstalling the app and restarting my phone, but these steps did not resolve the problem. Given the popularity of the Galaxy Buds FE among iPhone users, I believe it is important that the app functions correctly to provide a seamless user experience. I would appreciate any guidance or solutions you can provide to help resolve this issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response. Best regards, Sara
Great app. I don’t usually write reviews but I think I should since this one has gotten so many bad ones. I have an iPhone 11 and this took me about 1 minute to set up. All you gotta do is download the app, connect them. I went into Bluetooth and connected the other part (two things labeled roughly the same have to be connected for them to work and I had to manually connect the second) and I was good to go. Not sure why people are having issues with this but my experience has been great with this app
Almost Perfect. I’m an Apple person but decided to give the Galaxy Buds+ a try. They work great & sound amazing. I was having issues connecting the Buds+ to both my iPhone & iPad until I realized the issue is with the case. Both the headphones and case connect to a device but while you can connect the headphones to multiple devices, the case can only be connected to one device. I have the case connected to my iPhone so I’m unable to use the app to change any settings when listening to my iPad. Hopefully a software update fixes that soon.
No longer compatible with older version. I LOVED using this app, and I mean LOVE. But I deleted it and went back to it and had issues. I figured it was just me and ignored it. I went back to it today hoping to figure it out, well I figured it out. But apparently, it’s because they don’t support the old version anymore, and I think that’s incredibly stupid. Not everyone can afford brand new buds just to have them connect to the app. You should’ve just kept the old buds on the app, cause now I don’t wanna use my buds at all because 1. I won’t be able to track them anymore and 2. I won’t be able to figure out the battery. Again, this is incredibly stupid, and I hate even having to write this review.
Misleading. There is some features such as gaming mode not available since it a Samsung exclusive feature, the connection between buds and device work fine I give you that, but with a little extra money, I think the apple air pods would have worked better for my iPhone. I wanted to try something new because there was this app, but oh well. But I’ll tell you some good things, it is very easy to use. Having be my first, I don’t hate it, but don’t like it. It easy, and I like the different features this app brings, but a lot of them don’t work so well. I hear static for the ambient mode and it not a fun sound.
Scam by Samsung. I bought galaxy buds because my friend was bragging about them. Little did I know that they were made by a company that is scamming people. I have an iPhone and I am having the same problem all others are having with low volume and no way to turn it up to its full potential. The side rockers on the iPhone only bring it up so far but not all the way. Been waiting on this app to fix the issue but now evidentially I have to buy new earbuds to be compatible with this app. This is a marketing scheme that could easily be fixed but is not! I used to be in sales so congrats, this is great for the company but not for the customer. Horrible. I would not recommend.
It works!. Despite where it says “Works on this iPhone” in the App Store, the app does not launch on iPhone SE running the latest updates (iOS 14.2). Note: the headphones work fine, but you can’t use any of the advanced features without this app. Update: now that I have an iPhone 12 Mini, I can say that the apps works well. I am able to connect to my Mac over Bluetooth and still use the ambient noise features and set the touch controls using this app at the same time. The equalizer doesn’t work for audio coming from my Mac, but everything else seems to.
People are wrong. Listen man I normally don’t leave reviews. And I myself was super skeptical to even try it. But I forgot my AirPods at home and had my galaxy buds in my purse. I downloaded the app. Opened it. Connected my buds and all was good. The only thing is take both pods out put them in your ears. Go into your Bluetooth and look down at the devices to connect and connect your other galaxy bud. That’s the thing people are getting tripped up on. You have to connect both of them separately. Super easy. Works wonderfully for me!
~App Is DIFFICULT…A JOKE!!~. I have an iPhone 8 so the pairing instructions (a Samsung device) are not @ all relevant in the “quick guide.” Once I paired according 2 the method I’ve always paired Bluetooth options 4 an iPhone, the App proceeds 2 disallow me the opportunity 2 move forward 2 the following pages. It won’t let me get past set up which I’ve ALREADY DONE! I need 2 read the other options these earbuds offer…ambient sound, noise cancelling & instead the app is stuck on the pairing page. Ev’ry time I try 2 swipe left…nothin’!! This App needs much work. I deleted it & dowloaded again & still the same thing. I will call the (800) number & see if Customer Service can be of some assistance & if I am still dissatisfied, these will be goin’ back 2 the store!!!!
Worked flawlessly. After reading all the negative reviews I was hesitant to try the app and just use the manual Bluetooth. But I have an iPhone 11 Pro and the Galaxy Buds + and decided to try using the app since responses (I assume from Samsung) state what IOS models should work. After downloading and opening the app, followed the instructions in the app and it was easy and seamless. The Bud+ connected automatically (leave the case open as instructed). The sound is incredible.
