Loving It, but.... ... is there a way to have manual length meters opposed to predefined lengths? The RC-505 is set up so that you don’t have to fit your loops into a particular meter length, which is very liberating and less stressful when recording. With L7, I feel that I need to land on a dime to make it fit into the necessary preselected meter length.

Wakes up, and drains battery.. Here are the fact: -Used it once three weeks ago. -Had no trouble from it until it SPONTANEOUSLY woke up and drained my battery last night. I don’t know what it was doing, but I don’t think it was good.

A Totally Insta Buy! Must Have Looper!. I’m totally impressed with this awesome looper! Love it in slide mode inside AUM amd wow! Instant loops to record your inspiration without hassle if menus etc! Top noth developers! They listen to users in the AudioBus forum and always willing to update their app! Wow! At this half price sale is a total no brainer! I highly recommend this app! MM4C

Major Potential!. This app is off to a great start. Love the interface and that was BEFORE learning about split screen in AUM....whoa! Massive! The dev is taking feature requests on the Audiobus forum...hit him up!

Feels like an early access video game. Despite a rocky launch this developer is a G. The Hello Games of iOS development. I have full confidence this will become the rc505 that was so promised

Drains battery. This app has been draining my iPad battery overnight. I checked battery usage and even without having the app open it is using battery. How? I don’t know. Why? I don’t know. I had to delete it.

No monitoring?. Can’t hear what I’m recording, and can’t find a settings page to fix this. Loopy HD works fine. What’s the problem, is it just me? Edit: great to see input monitoring has been added. For me though there is too much latency for it to be useful. I don’t think it’s my device, as I purchased this year, and latency on Loopy HD works well. Looking forward to the next iteration.

Undo button. Please

Still buggy. I really want this app to be more solid. I’m using it with AUM and have also tried it with Garage Band just to see how it behaves as a AU3 plug in. In Garage band I have had terrible audio crashes and inconsistent behavior. In AUM it some of the effects can be used to bounce tracks down, but the looper output audio crashes often, and you have to reinstall the app from scratch to get it working as an AU3 plug in again. Emailed developer and waiting back. Otherwise this app is way cool. Once it becomes more stable I can see ways to integrate it into my live performance, but for now I wouldn’t trust it in front of an audience.

I like it.. So far so good, learning how to use it is a bit of a curve for me. I have the Boss RC 300 looper. I’m used to mechanical devices verse virtual iPad apps. Love the reverse swipe, so easy. Thanks

Recommended Buy .... but..... Great job so far! I’d like to request the following updates however: 1. Select the hardware input when using a audio interface (input 2 on my interface is optimized for guitar and bass - app only uses input 1 at this time). 2. Load sessions in sequence during play back without stopping so that when one loop ends the next one starts (this would allow different loops to be arranged in sequence - i.e. verse, chorus, bridge)

Great looper. Having a lot of fun with this. One great feature is export. It exports a zip bundle with a separate WAV file for each track. This makes it a snap to import into a DAW. One request- would be great if you could trim the audio length on the first track.

great auv3 looper!. this is def my fav looper , it is simple to operate and you can resize the window to have it in your aum session out of the way while you jam but still have it accessible to start / end / edit your loop without distraction. i’ve been using it everyday for a couple weeks now and have been creating some great loops and having fun with it. the interface is pretty strait forward after you figure out a couple things you’ll be using it without even having to think! if you need an auv3 looper, and i know you do, this is the one

Kool. As a professional looper I never use the metronome, though the app is pretty good and has a lot of kool stuff I would not use it bc I prefer a more organic loop. I hope they add this option I jam on an RC505, RC202 and RC20XL and I even use The Everyday Looper app for sketching bc it allows the organic switch that I don’t see here, I DCthey added it, it would definitely be a game changer.

problems. Crashes on my iPad Pro immediately after count-in. Crashes on my iPhone Xr trying to import audio. Link in app store for support takes you to developer website listing of other apps and no support link. Sadly will contact app store for refund.

Such a great app to my Arsenal. I use my iOS apps along side my hardware and this app, along with the other audio kit stuff, has made it so much fun for on the fly performances. Using my Digitakt midi channels gives me so much much power, using the audio kit synths/looper is like having a room full of amazing synths. Flawless and well engineered apps

I Love the app but it keeps crashing sadly. It’s good! Only problem is that I have to re-download it again every time it crashes.

Good job. The Developer is Quick to the rescue. Fixed the crash in a day. [Old] The app crashes I looked for a support email on your website but didn’t find any... So the one star is just to get your attention. I have an i7 running the latest version of ios (The rating will change after the fix)

The Best iOS Live Looper. I love this looper. Deep but still intuitive and easy to use. I use it for live performance consistently.

Great start but needs work. Love the app but I have a issue, when I import audio it does not sound correct and sounds altered. I make sure the Bpm is matched before importing . Recording from outside of the app works great and same with vocals just importing Audio hasn’t worked the best so far.

Much improved version 1.2. The recent version 1.2 update improved many things, most importantly addressed latency issue! Metronome has a switch on the main screen now and since it’s animated it can be used as a visual tempo representation without click sound needed (although a touch small for that). The app should display some info that it is loading. When many loops are used in the project that is being opened it takes a while to load, user is left with just a blank screen with no indication of any activity. It looks as if the app was stuck opening.

Great Looper. This is a great looper app. My favorite feature is the midi mapping. I have a foot controller and it works great for starting and stopping loops. One callout, there doesn’t seem to be a way to add tap tempo or mute/solo to the midi mapping which is a bit of a disappointment. Having to reach for the iPad to get the tempo and solo is a misses opportunity in my opinion. Other than that I really enjoy using the app.

Crashes on iPad 6th gen and iPhone X. I just downloaded it, I want this app to work so bad, it’s awesome until it crashes. I use VoiceJam Studio and Loopy HD during live performances and they work great, I just wanted to try something new, please fix this so I can show your app off on stage too! As soon as the crashes stop I can give it 4 stars. It’ll get 5 when I can record the session, and not just save the loops. Voice jam studio and loopy hd let you do that. Also add an in app record session!

Very Promising!. Definitely not a one-stop replacement to the RC-505 YET, but very close and with a promise from the developers to include more crucial features (like auto-tempo detection and complete MIDI support, possibly also some of the RC-505 FX I use heavily in my live sets, like Beat Repeat, Lo-Fi, and Vinyl Scratch). There are also some great things L7 does that RC-505 does NOT do, such as the pitch control and harmony FX. It’s not a far cry from the best available software looper, and it’s an excellent start...it’ll still likely be a while before I can actually use it in a professional context, but I’m looking forward to it!

Recommend. This is fun on the move with my travel guitar. Fully recommend. Even better would be: It is hard to end a song cleanly. I would like a button that would stop playing at the End of the current loop. Why can’t we custom define the number measures in our loop?

Fun and creative but buggy - now stuck on a empty screen. I like this looper a lot. The frustrating bit is having it unpredictably fail to record takes. It will countdown like it is going to record, and creates a channel, but then it’s empty. Wasting time and losing performances. Hopefully the developers can fix that? Also Selecting a loop length longer than you have allowed in your setting provokes a crash. If they could add support for loops that are odd numbers of measures and some editing capability it’d be an epic app. Update. Now the app is stuck on an empty screen and no amount of quits or hard resets etc changes it. Happened in the middle of recording and hasn’t come back. Rats.

Hardware input missing. You can’t select a hardware input channel in order to change a channel from stereo to mono L/R. This makes it impossible to pan L or R since the audio only comes in hard L or R. Also can’t select an audio channel on my interface for recording other instruments. Looper only sees one channel. Kinda useless for serious loopers.

Money wasted. Bugs not fixed after 1+ years. I normally love Audio Kit apps. In fact, I have purchased ALL of them as I support their mission to make music accessible to all. With that said, I was excited for this one. However, after more than a year of dropping the app due to frustrating bugs, I’m disappointed to see that there has been NO progress. I feel cheated out of my money. I really do. The app is entirely unusable. The count in to record makes zero sense as it starts at whatever random time interval it wants to. Every other track recording completely fails to record. The interface is fantastic, but with the app breaking bugs, it’s an absolute nightmare to use and a huge disappointment coming from developers that I normally adamantly support. Please fix this guys. This is disappointing and a black mark on your otherwise stellar app lineup.

Really great start.... Needs beat sensing and ability to have loops that sync at different lengths. I personally don't use a click track when I loop, beat sensing and auto tempo setting is one of the beat features of all of the boss pedals.

Just plain awful.. First: The count-in is literally random. A random number appears when you start recording, sits there for a second, then starts counting down from another random number. Uh, okay. Second: From the tutorial, “Your recording is now timed perfectly to the metronome.” HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA no. Not even a tiny bit close. Adjusting the single latency setting does nothing. Third: Try the effects. Use the trigger feature. It won’t turn off. Can’t adjust the effects after they’re set. Three strikes, you’re out. Complete waste of time and money, which I’d like back please.

Problem with audio interface. I can’t tell if there’s a problem with compatibility, but Samson g track microphone doesn’t work well, it left an awful digital noise. The same mic works perfectly well in other iOS apps…

Overdub button. I wish there is an overdub button easily accessible per track and a corresponding midi binding, so we don't have to hold on a track to access the overdub. Also overdub that stops when I want it to stop, not at the end of a loop. I want it like this because I prefer to make the next track, the next part of a song. Thanks for the update on midi binding overdub last track. Very useful to me.

Hard time with routing other apps. Havent been able to use this looper the way that I would like to. It doesnt open as an effect for audiobus and I havent been able to properly route audio with other apps. It does record from an interface but needs more options.

It’s a great start. I am confused as to why the Audiobus is connected but it’s not sending the audio via the channel? Rather, it seems like it’s recording through the microphone. I get what you are getting. That helps me place it in the workflow! Thank you for the response!

Updating to five stars. Previously I'd given this four stars, but seeing how fast the dev is to get relevant updates out makes me quite pleased. And the addition of reverse which I asked for? Amazing. If you're into sound design, don't let the simple idea of this app make you underestimate it. You can certainly do field recordings with your mic and get some interesting results

I found the track delete or redo. 🤪. It’s not intuitive but some functionality seems to be hiding behind the interface.

Review updated. My first review was pretty harsh. The developer listened and now you can actually contact them. Nice. The metronome function is not as annoying as it now stays off but when you import a sample the darn metronome plays. You cannot just turn it off for everything but not a deal breaker. Would love a mix down or full export feature. Actually merging two tracks would be awesome. Plus reverse would be killer. This is a really good looping app. I am sure there are lots of people who will love and enjoy it. I truly hope they do. On its way!!

AUv3 doesn't and has never worked. I can open the standalone app just fine, however when attempting to open as an AUv3 in Garageband, it instantly crashes and I get the "plugin crashed" prompt. Would give a higher rating for sure if this issue was fixed.

False advertisement. This is not an Audiokit App. It crashes very often, and it has not been updated for a long time. The midi binding is very limited as well, even typical looper operation is not possible, such as using a single button control record and stop. Instead, the app needs two separate buttons to control record and stop. Not recommend at all.

Really well thought out Looper with so much potential. Really like the work flow of this looper, its what every daw should have. Quick no fuss, does the job. All round great looper shame about the bugs, has potential to be one of the best loopers. Suggestion: 1) Please add Ability to export project with full length track stems 2) Duplicate track and multi out 3) M to mute track. Tap any part of track to un mute that section only. 4) Allow Max Loop to be set beyond 32 bars for longer timeline. Setting max loop above 32 should increase time line but keep the 32 bar max record limit.

Fantastic Looper!. Finally loving the art of looping on the iPad. I love using LoopyHD, but now that L7 is all auv3 compliant i never have to leave AUM, and can get as loopy as i want to. Support and updates for this app have been great. If you need a looper that works in AUM this is the one for you 👊🏼™️💕

great practice tool, needs arbitrary measures & meters. Very nice practice tool as it's super quick to get going and works well. Just need to allow for flexibility in the number of measures, especially if this is to be a $20 app. At the very least, add a 12-bar choice for blues. Ideally allow the user to enter the number of measures. Meter choice is ok, but how about arbitrary there as well. But as others have said, off to a great start.

Awesome updates. L7 keeps on getting better with each update!

Solid Looper App. Really like the app and the way that it’s being updated. Very easy to get tracks started without overthinking things using L7. Running it as an Auv3 lets you keep the window open for triggering loops, etc. but still manage things within AUM while recording.. a big plus. Effects are also a welcome addition, handy when you need them. At the time of this writing, it’s limited in what you can do with polyrhythms because of the way it provides measures for you to record on 1-32 instead of letting you determine your own lengths for specific tracks; I would like to see both. Also would love to run multiple instances of this as Auv3 instead of being limited to one instance. Again, this is a solid choice for looping and I am excited to see what else will be included down the road from the developer. Thanks, good work!

Beautiful thing. After a few hours with this new looper in stand-alone mode with guitar, I am impressed by the functionality, logic and beauty of it. I instantly came up with new musical ideas, just by trying out the various functions. Hooked up to an AirTurn, I can record, start, stop and overdub without touching the screen. When something sticks, exporting to a DAW via AirDrop is a breeze. Even tempo information is included in the filenames. Audio quality is undistinguishable from the live signal. Will try the L7 live in a band rehearsal soon. What I would like to see in a future update: a visual metronome, more gradual control of the various FX, a toggle MIDI binding for start/stop, so there is just one button occupied on the foot controller, more bindings. Thanks to the developers for swift and kind e-mail responses to my newbie questions!

Works as expected. App was crashing upon recording when first bought, deleted then added back and works fine now on both iPad 6 and 7

Worth the money. Great job on the ux. Any possibility to record what you are playing in app?

Cuts off end of tracks when you go back into project. This is a great app. Until you record your loops and go out of the project then go back in. It cuts off the last few seconds of your tracks (loops). Please fix...

How do I turn off the click?. I don’t see an option to turn off the click. What if I want to loop things that don’t use one? (Update) Developer was quick to respond with an update that added this feature. Now you can loop without a click. Thank you! L

Awesome app. This is a very handy app and the new update fixed the issues I had. Very good guys thanks for listening to your customers.

5 star if it were stable!. Drops all the time in AUM and standalone, pity coz its the most fun and usable of the looper apps!

Not bad but has an issue. Not bad at all, but one frustrating thing is that it seems to ignore the channel volume in the master file when you use the export feature, which is really disappointing, 5 stars if this is fixed though!

Nope!. After much research I decided to give this looping app a try. From the minute opening the app it wasn’t playing nice with my Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. All kinds of weird audio things were happening. I can’t use any of the FX due to the problems with the audio. I reached out to support via the link within the app and got no response. I attempted through Twitter DM and still no response. I’m glad I didn’t pay too much for this app. I’m using an iPad Air 4 with iPadOS 15, maybe that’s the problem it’s not compatible with the newer iOS. Wish the developer would at least get back to me. The GUI seems easy to use but no good if I can’t use the app because of wonky audio.

Awesome intro, as expected. Sorry, but giving a brand new app that this much thought went into and released for 3 bucks a two star review should get you kicked off the App Store for life. Had a quick poke around. Unbelievable to get this many goodies, a great tutorial, and the promise of great things to come (basically that is a given with all Audiokit apps)... Stellar...

No Midi?. I am actually surprised to see no external midi control. I hope future updates bring that feature as it’s an essential to the professional performer. There are other looping apps doing way better job than this one like Quantiloop for example and that one is as close to the Boss RC 505 right now. If you are going to price yours above that one you should at least have more features and the kinds that are actually are essential to live loopers out there. You should really do your homework first.

Finally : a LOOPER for non-loopers !. Always thought looping was only for skilled musos but this changed my mind. And my singer wannabe granddaughter loves its ease of use....

Great layout and concept but some issues. Currently not working in Audiobus and some issues with MIDI as an AUv3

Quick to get going. Quick start tutorial gets you up and running fast. Better reverb than that in Loopy, and overall more effects. My only wish is running multiple instances in AUM.

Fun App, outstanding support.. Had to get rid of my hardware looper a few years back and never had the excuse to drop $500 on a new one. For the price I couldn’t pass this up. I had a few problems with bugs because it was v1 but after reaching out to the support team they were able to rush out two separate updates (on the weekend!) which resolved my problem.

App doesn’t work. The app was working just fine until i updated it and now it just crashes and doesn’t even open and just closes down

Import audio. Import audio function does not work. All I hear is static.

Fun. Great app, lots of fun to be had looping.

Crashes. Ok so I downloaded this looper as soon as it became available. I’ve been waiting for something like this for a long time. Payed the introductory price of $3.99 and started working through the tutorial.. then the app froze and crashed. Each time that I tried to relaunch just a blank screen appears! What can I do. I had high hopes

Very cool but Needs improvement. It’s a very intuitive and easy way to learn how to loop. I did a session but then realized I could not access it in my device to use it somewhere else, apart of Ableton Live. I would love to use this to save on device or share as wav file to use in DAW’s or just send sessions to friends in a link. This app has a very big potential. Please keep improving it. Thanks guys.

Audio L7 Looper midi plug ins for GarageBand on my iPhone 11. It keeps crashing when I try to use it neither plug-in is working

Crashes. Using on a IPhone X . Only App on my phone that crashes. Also add it on my iPad... same problem.

Might have jumped on this one too soon.. I saw AudioKit and jumped on it as I fully support what they have done with Synth One. I gave it three stars because there is a lot missing, but there is plenty there. At 3.99 I am happy with the loops I have been creating, but the work flow needs to be improved. As one reviewer mentioned the metronome needs some love. First put an on/off in a more convenient place. Second, there needs to be a way to set the metronome to count in only. I will add more comments to this review as I dig deeper into the app.

Not there yet. I love the promise of this but I’ve yet to get stable recording of loops on my 2016 iPad Pro. This is standalone with no other apps running and no effects running in the app. Loopy and GTL are much more stable.

No Midi support. My experience with this is app is otherwise positive and the features and FX are great. However with no midi control or CC mapping this is not a tool for live performance. If you could use this hands free with a foot controller or pad controller then this would be a perfect app, alas with this large omission I would skip it if you intend to use it for a live performance.

Wow worth the cost of the iPad. An incredible looper, worth buying an iPad for it.

Needs monitor. This could be a really fun app if it allowed for a monitor option during record. Very hard to tweak recording effects if you can only hear the result post production.

I ain’t smart. But if I was this might be easier

Loop diggers REJOICE!!!. Bought this as soon as I read about it.... Only had the chance to mess around with it for a few hours so far.... and I must say... I’m getting them J Dilla, Madlib, Daringer, vibes..... which is right up my alley. So far no crashes or anything out of the ordinary. A few kinks that I’m sure will be worked out soon.... no way to cut metronome off which can be annoying having to lower the volume repeatedly, but no big fuss. I think a few extra effects.... a dedicated song mode.... and possibly a faster way to import samples would make this 5 stars, but I’m not giving up... these guys reputation is GREAT and I know they will continue to improve this amazing app as time goes on. I’m all In! Thanks for your hard work. “US” mobile musicians appreciate it!!!!

Seems cool but would like to preview FX before recording.. See title.

Unable to use!!! IPHONE X!!!. I am UNABLE to use anything on this app because it closes itself as soon as I choose a bubble to record a loop!!! Refund or FIX needed IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

No longer works. Latest update stopped app from working! Air 2 64 GB Press any number tile, app counts down and crashes to homepage.

Not That Like RC-505 *feature request. Got this app and won’t be using it because of the implementation of the first loop. One of the great things about the RC loopers is your first loop DOES NOT have to be to a bpm. It can be organic and the machine will learn the BPM from the first loop. This app does not behave like this. You are greeted immediately to a super annoying metronome. I wanted to just send an email as a feature request but as far as I can tell there is no way to contact the developers. I am grateful that they modeled the looping ( after the first loop ) after the hardware RC series but the inability to be organic with your first loop ruins it for me. If it gets fixed this app is due a higher rating.

Buy this App 👍. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ !

Needs Work. Please give us a way to turn off the metronome. Gets stuck on. Also needs a way to set the start and end points of a sample.

App crashing. Just bought this app and it already crashed and won’t open back up

Terrible - Crashes. The app just crashes. iPad Pro 10.5. Can’t even go to the next page on tutorial. No help or contact on dev website. Need a refund. If it needs better hardware, then it should not install.

How much is this?. Charged me $19.99 but it said it was on sale for $4.99 so I’m a bit upset

Don’t listen to bad reviews - its a beast in the making. This thing has loads of potential and the simplicity of the interface is part of the greatness. I agree it has a few updates to go to be truly essential but the fun I had right after downloading had me lost in scapes with only my voice and some good wired phones w/mic. Low Reviews: I wish people would give an app a day or two before slamming it with hyperbolic low stars. Especially at this cheap intro price AND especially when this developer is bucking the trend and NOT using some subscription model. Wants: Specificity on the pitch slider or a way to input desired semitones/octaves. Developers: Keep updating and improving!

Crash and crash. Over and over Not usable

Don’t buy. I want my money back rather buy toilet paper it’s of more value than this app

Unbelievable. Why in the world does it seem acceptable to constantly pop up a review nag dialog whenever I start to record a loop?

Looper. works as a looper

Kinda confused. I the I thought it would have pre-made loops like live loops in garage band. If this only is for recording vs composition then I might request a refund

AUv3 NOT WORK IN BM3. All auv3 from AudioKit crash in BeatMaker 3 at some point. I can live with that. But this won’t even load, it shows blank interface then I get crash message.

Mic and headphone port delay. I’m using an external mic and it’s having a hard time syncing with the music composition. It’s fun but way more complicated then EyDy app.

So far so good. Made some fun beats with this last night pretty nice I like the look and how everything is on one page kinda thing rather then a bunch of menu diving. Pretty straight forward didn’t need the manual yet which was nice. Hopefully audio unit support is in the works could see this working well as one so -1 for that not being there for launch. Will change to 5 * once that additions there.

Not a Loopy competitor yet. I like some things about the UI, but the two deal-breakers for me are (1) still 50-100ms of input lag, enough that I noticed it the moment I turned Input Monitoring on; and (2) audio glitching at loop boundaries. Neither of these are problems I’ve ever had with Loopy.

Great workflow. I really like the visual design and the user interface strategy. It’s really easy and fun to use. I give it 4 and 5 due to the lack of inter-app audio and full audiobus support. It also needs a share extension to better facilitate import from other apps. And a way to export performance mixes would be an excellent feature as well.

Not actually developed by AudioKit. This appears to be a scam. This app is actually from a different developer than AudioKit.

AUV3?. Trying to locate this in AUM and I don’t see it. What an I doing wrong?
