Beli Comments & Reviews 2026

Great, but missing function to make it a “tracker”. I was so glad when Beli came out. Before then, the only options to track restaurants were Yelp and Foursquare, which don’t have the “note” function that Beli does. Being able to jot down note and utilize this app as a “doc and spreadsheet” is what I think makes Beli different from the other apps. However, Beli is missing a key function to actually call itself a tracker. Currently, there is NO way to record the number of times or dates you have visited a restaurant. The purpose of a tracker is to TRACK information, but Beli is strictly on a rating system, making this more like a restaurant ranking app than a tracker. I suggest adding a “check in” button or something similar. Additionally, Beli asks you to rank every restaurant you add to your list, but it’s incredibly hard to compare a brunch place vs fine dining. This issue can be circumvented if custom labels were allowed. Overall, it has been disappointing to see that Beli doesn’t actually function as a tracker as marketed. However, I will continue to support Beli as I’m hopeful that more functions will be developed in the future!

Cool idea with alienating approach. Great concept and I’m excited to dig in more, but the exclusivity angle is off-putting. Having to be invited is weird, and the whole “[x person] invited you because they think you have great taste!” bit comes off as pretentious. I hope the developers modify their approach. That said, I’m excited to use Beli to find new places, keep track of the spots that I liked, and share/discover new recommendations! The interface looks great and I’m excited for bars to be added.

This. App. Rocks.. This app rocks. I used to keep track of things on maps, or in my head, or in the notes app. It was just inefficient. Not to mention that I could never remember all the places I wanted to try! Beli is great because I can do it all. I can track places I’ve eaten and make notes about what I liked. I can track places I want to go and jot down why (a dish? A vibe?). The recommendation feature is an awesome way to gain exposure to new places. The map capabilities in the app are especially useful—you can see which recommendations or places you’d like to try are nearby, so being in a new city doesn’t mean meh food.

Good not great. Think this app is almost great, but I think the ranking system really leaves something to be desired. I'm comparing restaurants that are totally incomparable to each other. ones that are super fancy to restaurants that are really casual totally different price ranges and just not the same at all. I think what would be good is if you could change the category customize the category. I just don't want to be comparing a restaurant where I'm paying $150 to a restaurant where I'm paying $20

I love this app! (feature suggestion). This app is awesome. One thing I’d really love to see is a feature that let’s you creates personal custom lists. I think right now you can only filter by restaurants/bakeries/bars/etc, but it’d be useful to be able to sort by occasion or person to go with. I specifically want to be able to make a separate list for “places I want to take clients to” and keep it from fun casual spots or date night spots.

Love the concept , but what dishes to try?. Love this app so far , been using it to build my restaurant lists. But when I look up a restaurant that I am interested in trying , I only see the name and its score. Which dishes should I try? What are the best items to order at that restaurant? I want to know what’s the best and what to order. And also, why doesn’t google map open when I click “directions” ? I don’t want to use Apple map

Great start to tracking your dining. Really nice app. I used to love tracking where I went out to eat. I’ve used Evernote Food, Foursquare, Gowalla and more. This looks to be a great replacement t since most of those have come and gone. One thing that would be a nice tweak to the UI is to allow me to check in to a restaurant immediately and then wait to prompt on whether I like it or not until later I’ll often want to check in, record what I ate and then know if I liked something after the meal.

Love it but have a suggestion. Hey guys, I love this app! The idea is fantastic and I love the rating style. My only suggestion is certain things like breakfast places and pizza shops should be separate genres if you will. I dont know how to rank a breakfast sandwich place vs a nice sit down dinner. Same with a pizza shop vs a tapas restaurant. It’d be awesome to be able to sort by pizza or breakfast and find places like that rather than have them all mixed in. I wouldn’t want too many different genres bc then it becomes too narrowed down but those two seem too different from everything else. Just my two cents, loving the app!

Great app!. Love this app so far. A couple things that I’d like added/changed if I was wanting it to be absolutely perfect: 1. The ability to see a “global” average ranking for every single restaurant based on users in the app alongside your friends ranking and your own ranking. That would help to completely eliminate the need to look on google or yelp for new places!! 2. Please please please add a separate category for “fast food” that is distinct from the “restaurants” category. A 9.0 fast food place is NOT the same as a 9.0 real restaurant and it would greatly help out when ranking places imo.

Only way to sort through noise of too many restaurants. There are so many reviews these days and never know what to trust. I used to go with the Infatuation because they had high touch reviews, but has gotten less accurate as they’ve scaled. The beauty here is I know my friends liked it or can look at how people with similar tastes review certain restaurants. Even better, I can find restaurants I don’t even know about AND keep track of all the restaurants I go to. Really enjoy using this and highly recommend to anyone trying to discover new restaurants!

Finally a way to track restaurants. For the longest time, I had curated an ever growing list of restaurants on my maps to remember where Ive been but this app makes it so much easier to know not only about where I’ve been but how much I liked or disliked it as well. If I had any feedback after only having it for 24 hrs, I wish there was a way to import google maps lists myself because they’re so long.

Love it didn’t know I needed this. This app is like yelp but if it is more personalized towards you rather than everyone which I like. I am able to have my record of what I think of a place and rate places based on what I’m think and those ratings effect the other things I reviewed. I would love if you could maybe separate tabs more when saving to want to visit for example there is only for restaurants/bars. What if you want to bookmark a bakery or coffee shop. I think it would also be cool to categorize based on cuisine type.

Missing an important feature!. I love this app with a strong passion and i recommend it to everyone I know. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I really believe they need more diversity in the categories, or a feature that allows you to make your own categories. I find it really hard to compare a fine dining michelin star experience against the corner store I get a greasy cheap sandwich at against a place that only sells bagels etc., especially when your number of ranked restaurants grows.

10/10 food lovers must. I really love this app, it’s great both for keeping track of where I’ve been and where ai want to go in addition to getting great recs from friends. I love that it features restaurants all over the world so it’s helpful when planning trips. I wish they would get cafes on it soon but it’s nice that they added the bar feature. I also wish you could make notes when bookmarking a restaurant so you can remember which dishes were recommended to you. Phenomenal app, I try to get all my friends on it!

You know what would make this app truly GREAT??. First, let me start off by saying I absolutely love this app— me and my friend have had tons of fun rating our favorite restaurants, and I love how it gives you personalized recs after 20 or so ratings. THAT SAID, there is a feature that would make this app actually killer, which is… Integration with Yelp/Google Reviews. If I already looked up the Yelp review and gave it a rating, it can be a pain to open up Beli and rate the exact same restaurant again. This is especially true if I just downloaded Beli as a new user, and then I have to go “hmmmm what are all of the restaurants I’ve visited in my lifetime?” I think it’s much more convenient to have these automatically suggested / added for you. For example, when you open the app you could see a dialogue like “did you go here?” or a list of suggested restaurants to rate. This would go a long way towards improving usability IMO.

Let me put in my own numerical rating. I’m a big fan of this app and the concept but why does it not let me just put in my own number for places? I understand the system that it uses but like I feel like it would take much less work on y’all’s end to just let me go through the places I’ve been in my head instead of having to see each one pop up and vote which is better. Maybe it’s just me but I struggle to remember what places are called so voting which is better based on name does not work for me- but if I could just put a number to it I wouldnt have this issue. Seems too simple to not have as an option

Finally accurate ratings. It's nice to finally decipher how good a restaurant actually is with their rating system. Instead of having to decide whether something is 4 or 5 stars I can simply rate it in comparison to other restaurants. It would be nice if the comparisons were food type specific as I often will naturally rate a pizza place higher than a American restaurant. But other than that I have been enjoying using the app!

Perfect for any Foodie!. I love trying new places and giving recommendations to my friends about the next restaurant to try, but sometimes I forget what was so great about that restaurant or how I really liked my meal there…but with Beli it makes it so easy! You are able to rate a restaurant, choose keywords about why you loved and your rating is shared with your friends. The best part is that it gives you recommended places to try based on your ratings!

Fun with potential. I like the concept as a major foodie, but there are definitely some missing features. For whatever reason I am always recommended sushi places and I wish I could have a negative filter on cuisine so instead of saying I want this cuisine I could say I want all but sushi, also saving my filters would be nice since I am rarely looking to spend $$$$ I almost always add filters to do the same thing over and over again.

Goodreads for Restaurants!. I'm having so much fun with the app so far! And it's a wildly good app for such a small team. Very impressed! I'm still on the fence about whether or not I like how the rating scores are assigned. But I do really like that I don't have to think too hard about it. It's much simpler to rank on a list than to assign my own 1-10 score, so maybe I'm sold on it for now. Feature Suggestion: I didn't realize a spot wouldn't show up on my list unless I responded to the comparison questions. Maybe add a warning about that the first few times? Or even better, add a feature where we can skip the comparison questions for later, and those spots would show up at a bottom portion of our list as "Unranked" or something so we can easily find it and go back to ranking later?

Needs halal label option. This app is almost perfect. My one hesitation with it is that I’d love to be able to log the distinction of which restaurants are halal. While we’re here, I’m sure a kosher label wouldn’t hurt either. The closest thing we have is the vegan/vegetarian labels which isn’t really the same. There’s a whole community of religious foodies swarming in New York City and apps like yelp are missing out on their patronage because they don’t have a halal filter either. I feel it’s such an easy feature that all the companies are missing. Love the app besides this !!

Food obsessed - wild def recombined. I love this app, and have spent the past few days of having it entering restaurant I have been too that I can remember and love the concept! App is a little slow and freezes from time to time, and some restaurants (especially for some reason I’ve cream shops?) aren’t on the search list - however I clicked the request a new restaurant and wish that once they add that restraint instead of having to check back they would send a text or email notification. Overall tho still gave it 5 stars because it’s an awesome app and I’m really excited about it!

More categories needed. I love this app so much and spend so much time rating and reviewing places on it. However, I do believe that more categories should be added to make this a better user experience. I’m specifically talking about a winery/brewery category. I’m tired of rating these under the “bar” category but I have no other option. Adding this to the update would be greatly appreciated :)

The most perfect foodie app. Absolutely love this app. So nice to be able to store all of your photos and notes on each restaurant instead of scrolling through your camera roll trying to remember when you ate there. Genius!! Also so fun to pretend I’m a little food critic in my own world. Only very small suggestion would be to make it an option to not post your reranks on your feed. Sometimes I look at my rankings and just want to make a slight tweak, but don’t want it posted on my feed so it looks as if I just ate there to my followers. Again love this app and always recommending to everyone I know!!

Finally a smart way to do restaurant ratings. I love this app… finally there’s an alternative to the myriad 0-5 star systems out there and I’ve already found most of my favorite recent discoveries via Beli. On top of that, I find that the comparative rating system also is effective at capturing the way I think about my dining experiences, which is more holistic and includes the ambiance, company, etc. I enjoy going back and asking what my favorite restaurants really have been and comparing what on the surface may appear to be very different experiences. All in, this is a great app, clean and intuitive, and provides a service that I definitely haven’t found anywhere else yet.

Great for “foodies”! More categories please🥲. Living in a “foodie city”, this app is PERFECT! It helps me keep up with places I’ve been and reminds me of places I’ve wanted to try. Going out with friends and don’t know where to go? No problem. You can consult each other’s Beli profiles for suggestions. When my family is visiting, it makes it easy for me to recommend places for them to eat. It’s been fun going out with friends and comparing our ratings of different places. My only complaint is the minimal categories in the rating system. The categories you can assign a place to are restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee and desserts. It’s really hard to compare ALL restaurants to each other. For example, how do I compare a pizza place to a brunch spot? It would be nice if I could personalize the list of categories to fit my preferences and compare those restaurants to each other. For example, I would want to create a brunch category so I can compare all the brunch spots to each other. Or if I’m on a mission to find my favorite pizza spot in the city, I’d create a pizza category to compare the pizza places I’m trying.

A must have for foodies!!!. I never ever voluntarily rate apps, but I decided to rate this one because I’m obsessed with it. I discovered it earlier this week and it has literally been my most used app this week. I love eating each restaurant I’ve been to and I love being able to add photos and favorite dishes!!!!! It would not be a fair review if I did not include suggestions for improvement. I would love to include a tab that lets you put a do not order dish if a restaurant were to have a dish that is absolutely terrible. I would also like to have more sorting criteria, so If you just want to look at ice cream places, or bubble tea places, or bakeries, you could. I also don’t love that the app makes you compare two restaurants when they may be completely different cuisines and/or extremely hard to compare. I understand that the overall goal is to have a compiled list of best places to worst places, but it is very difficult to compare a lot of restaurants.

Super Fun!. I almost never leave a review but this up-and-coming app is so fun and the UI is really nice to look at too. I love a good map feature (though I think it could use a bit of tweaking). It’s fairly new I think, so there are still some small faults. I wish more people used it though! I find it fun to read other reviews for places in the area and when I travel to get an idea of where to eat :)

Great potential. This app has a ton of potential but is currently not exactly right for me. I like the comparative rating system and I really like the user experience overall. But there are a couple of aspects that keep this from being my go-to app for tracking the restaurants I’m interested in. First the app currently lacks any ability to research info on a restaurant other than their own website (which is frequently not available). Other similar apps will at least link out to Google in order to get some further context. I’m sure there’s a good rea$on why that’s not available today but it’s a pretty significant limitation. Related note, the app is very oriented toward the social aspect and sharing notes and reviews with friends. That’s the advertised purpose of the app, so OK, but it is not that great for an individual just wanting to track restaurants they are interested in or have visited already. I’m sure this app will be perfect for many but for now, my own search for the ideal personal restaurant To Do list will continue.

No joke I’m obsessed. Legit this app is the real deal. A few years ago I stayed in a hotel in Japan and my experience when it came to the amenities etc, was “wow I feel like this hotel has thought of EVERYTHING” like when I knocked my phone underneath the bed and went o retrieve it, there was a flashlight installed into the leg of the bed. The beli app is exactly like that. I kept thinking “wow it would be so cool if I could see my friends’ bookmarks against my own” and boom, there it is. You can even make reservations and knock restaurants of lists with your friends. So so cool. They have really thought of everything. Your team should be so proud!

Needs neighborhood search. App is great and fun. Very helpful in conjunction with their Instagram account. But their ratings when you search a place are based on your own previous rankings and not universal Beli user rankings (if I’m understanding it correctly) and it desperately needs a neighborhood search not just a major city (for example if I want to search for restaurants in Greenpoint, I should be able to search Greenpoint specifically instead of NYC, then going to the map, then looking for map recs in “search this area”

Finally a foodie list app. I’ve been using Google Maps lists all this time and it’s been hard to keep track of. One thing I wish Beli had was the ability to add lists / lists with preset filters so we can easily share around restaurants for a specific location or theme. For example it would’ve been good to have for sharing my Japan trip restaurants in each ward, etc. Also would be cool if we could follow certain lists from people rather than follow everything.

Best restaurant recommendation app. Finally - I don’t need to keep lists on Notes to figure out where I want to try for dinner! Beli is has changed the way I choose restaurants and I couldn’t be more grateful for its organization! It was so fun to walk down memory lane and rate the restaurants I’ve already been to. It’s even more fun that Beli suggests places I’ve wanted to try or forgot to put down for future reservations. I’ll never go back to my notes again! Thanks Beli :)

This app is genius!. I used to keep a little list on my notes app on my phone, but then I found Beli and it changed the game. For someone who loves exploring new restaurants and keeping track of what they loved, where they need to go next and what isn’t worth it, this app is a dream. The way they built it too is so fun - almost like a game to click through and compare!! If for any reason you’re on the fence about downloading this app, seriously don’t be. It’s my new favorite!!!

The app I’ve been waiting for!. I was bemoaning the lack of restaurant tracking apps when I came across Beli. It literally has everything that I wanted, mainly the ability to filter by price, location, cuisine, etc. A couple critiques: The ranking system gets a little tedious, and although you can say “too tough,” I wish I could opt out of it completely. I don’t really need a ranking of the places I’ve been- I’d rather make my own list within that of places I’ve liked. And it’s difficult to compare an ice cream place with an upscale steak house. Also, and this is very minute, it would be great if the short list icon was listed on the main restaurant page and not hidden within the labels. Would just be a bit easier. Being able to create your own labels would be really nice, too. I hope they are able to create a desktop-compatible app soon. I would love to be able to organize on a bigger screen! All in all, it’s a great app and I will be recommending to literally everyone. Update: Can you make it so that we can scroll through the search suggestions without it constantly reverting back to the keyboard after I click on a restaurant?

Dystopian take on a Food App. I have no idea how this app have this many positive reviews. It is advertised as an app to give recommendations, display restaurants with great reviews, and see where your friends are eating but it barely does any of that. It hides the features that are the reason you’re downloading the app behind milestones on how much you interact with the app. I can’t even review a restaurant out of 10 until I’ve said “I liked” 10 different restaurants. Why do they insist on holding my hand when it comes to restaurants?? One of the things I was most excited about was seeing a map of my city and being able to click on restaurants that are getting great reviews. As far as I can tell, that is not possible. I’m not sure if it’s because I need more friends so the map can fill itself out with what my friends are up to (which is extremely idiotic because I can jus talk to my friends instead of using an arbitrary app) or if it’s because their map feature is completely broken and can’t load anything. Either way, when I look at the map and press “search area” it’s completely blank. If you want to find a good restaurant just use Google, we don’t need a social media app for every aspect of our lives. I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.

Obsessed!. I learned about this app from a TikTok and was immediately obsessed. I had been dying to find a way to keep track of my food experiences and had resorted to a list in my notes app, which was really bare bones. This app is exactly what I was looking for. Rankings, categories, pictures, ability to save places I wanted to try, etc.! An update I hope to see in the future is to rank similar restaurants or have rankings for different types of cuisine. It’s hard to rank a breakfast diner against a Mexican restaurant because they’re not really the same thing. Sooo much potential for this app and I’ve already shared it with all of my foodie friends.

Food Journal. If you have always wanted to start a food journal but you just did not feel like you had the time or resources to do it properly this is definitely the app for you. It seems kind of strange but I know how many people are foodies like me and try new restaurants on a regular basis and then forget about them for long periods of time. This is a great way to remember what you liked and didn’t like in your area and the areas that you frequently visit. I am loving it!

App Has Tons of Potential. I really love this concept! They have a pretty comprehensive directory of restaurants in NYC. Sometimes the address is incorrect, but if you report it, they fix it in about 24 hours. I have two suggestions to improve it. Number one would be to rank restaurants ONLY amongst other restaurants in their category (either by Cusine category or based on the tag (date night, brunch, cocktails, etc.)) Otherwise, what happens is you start comparing apples and oranges. It's not fair to rank a Korean BBQ restaurant against a brunch pancake spot or against a lunch deli. There isn't a comparison there. My rankings can get a little wonky and overstated or understated because it makes me compare restaurants to other restaurants that are completely different aesthetics or purposes. A fancy dinner date spot isn't comparable to a bagel shop. It would be great if I could either rank all of brunch spots against only brunch spots. Similarly, all of my Italian restaurants against ony other Italian restaurants. Second is to add more tags. They're kind of random right now! A good few to add would be: brunch, first date, healthy, aesthetic interior, rooftop, etc.)

For anyone who eats!. I am obsessed with this app!! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for to track my restaurants and perfect for sending recommendations and lists to friends. Ranking your favorite spots is a lot more fun than you might think, and it’s great to compare your tastes to your friends. This app is a must have for any foodies or people that like to go out to eat, especially in NYC and Boston. There is nothing else like it out there right now!

The app we all needed!!. I am in love with this app, being able to rate the restaurants I’ve been to, explore the ones I want to go to and have a central location for this list that is accessible to all… genius!! Never again will I have to search my notes app for a place to eat or scroll through Instagram to try and find the influencers post I know I saw last week…. I’m having so much fun adding my photos and capturing my experience! This makes eating out so much fun and exploring new places even better!

Great app, needs more features. I really like the app but I wish you could create lists to rank restaurants based on cuisine. For example ranking my favorite breakfast spots, favorite Mexican restaurants etc. It is hard to compare a coffee shop to a steakhouse in terms of preference so an option to add a restaurant to certain lists based on various filters like cuisine, price, neighborhood could be another layer of tracking. Overall I really do like the app and I like being able to see my recommendations and where my friends are eating.

The Greatest Food App. I can’t begin to describe how much enthusiasm I have for this app… I’ve always been a foodie, and once my brothers colleagues in New York started getting this app, I decided to try it too. Although it may not be practically useful in any sense, Beli has brought me joy that no other app has. To be able to share the places I eat at, along with pictures and reviews as if I was using Instagram or Twitter has been amazing. And to be able to look back on the amazing food experiences I’ve had is even better. Anyone who enjoys eating at restaurants should get this app, it’s unbelievably exciting :)

An excellent idea and even better execution. Beli was recommended to me by a friend along with a warning that I’d have to put a few hours of work in to get the most out of it. I spent a NYC > DC train ride enthralled with the app and bugging my wife about which of our favorite places she’d prefer. The accuracy of the relative ranking of preferences is evident in the spot-on scores I see for places I’ve already been to and had forgotten to rate. The option to tag certain places for certain use cases (nice dinner out versus late night eats) fine-tunes the recommendations based on what you want at the time. For the lazy foodies, Beli greases the skids to a quick decision and you know that every time you go out, the recommendations will only get better. For the creatures of habit, Beli curates a path away from the over-used local haunts and into the hidden gems you always walk by. I imagine that great, tiny restaurants with limited means for advertising and signage are thankful for this app, as it brings people like me away from the go-to restaurants

LOVE and has potential. This is what I’ve been looking foe. Great to keep as a list for memories, recommendations, and ive noticed I go to more places now that I have such a comprehensive list. I’m excited about the future of the app and would like to see: - ability to check the menu/website/hours within the app, or at least be re routed to google maps which has that info - once i rank 1 restaurant from a chain (ex, hillstone) it doesnt give me the option to rank the same exact place in a different neighborhood - ability to make reservations thru open table or resy directly

Amazing. Loving restaurants and nice food, but having no way of tracking or ranking them this app is very helpful. The owners of the app reached out and the instant feedback was amazing. Love the app and everything it stands for. Highly recommend it to people who love food or people who have a hard time picking a restaurant you can simply scroll through your rankings and find the perfect fit for a night out. Love the app and love the kind developer.

Genius idea and amazing execution. Imagine having a pocket concierge that recommends restaurants to you based on your preferences. That’s Beli. It takes some work, but after a little time upfront, you have a personal restaurant assistant that can help you figure out a great date night, where to find the best slice, and what the best up and coming names around you are. The UI is intuitive and the team has really created a great experience. I never thought that curating my restaurant experiences would be “fun”, but then I tried Beli. I can’t wait to find new places and keep figuring things out!

Great way to track restaurants. It’s surprisingly fun ranking restaurants in Beli! If you asked me to give you a top 10 list, I would agonize over it for hours. But when adding in Beli, the app helps you along by reminding you of other restaurants you really liked, and asking you to compare. Did I like it more than Franklin BBQ? Those beef ribs were one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten so, no, but thanks for letting me relive the memory! I’m also already finding it useful to track restaurants I want to go to.

Potential is obvious - this is the next place we will be hanging out. I’ve been using this app got about a week and I’m hooked. It’s really easy and intuitive to get started, and I can easily see it becoming a thing. Would like to see some more granularity in opinion options- sometimes I can’t choose between two venues because they are not in the same category, the vibe just isn’t comparable or it’s just not the right thing to compare. Add features around sharing costs, maybe something allowing friends to plan itineraries, and this is going to be the new community app. Looking forward to seeing what’s next with this.

Fun and useful!. This is a huge upgrade from my Notes app as a way to keep track of restaurants I would like to try someday, and remember what I liked about the ones I have been to. It is simple to use and easy to navigate. I like the “private notes“ feature that lets you remember something without broadcasting it, especially where it might be wrongly interpreted as criticism (i.e. “get extra salad dressing,” or “order steak medium.”) Brava!

Cool app. Hopefully some of the bad restaurants read my reviews and take notes.

Great app but one suggestion. Really like the app features & UI - would suggest splitting the restaurant category up into sit down restaurants and moderate speed/fast food places

Like Goodreads, but for restaurants!. I am enjoying the app, but I don’t like the feature where I’m asked to compare two totally different types of restaurants. Also, if I say that “I liked!” a restaurant, I don’t necessarily want to see that I’ve given it a “10”. More subtleties would be good.

Great concept, some suggestions. Would be great to have a desktop website to more easily add restaurants. Would also be great to have a quick button for adding restaurants to want to go list. Right now clicking the bookmark pulls up a pop up before adding, so it ends up being a bit clunky.

No thanks.. Didn’t get past the sign up process. The first thing it asks for is a phone number and I just tossed it my TextPlus #. Then I got to the password, typed it in, and it wouldn’t let me continue. I’m not playing that game, either tell me what it is or let me use my own. There’s nothing high security about which restaurants I like.

Amazing all around. Love the app, so smart and well executed!

Best foodie app. I love Beli and can’t wait to post

Want a custom list feature + brunch option. Just download it today, and love it so far. Would love a feature where I could create my own categories of lists, like for example, best burgers. Also it would be great if one of the sorting options was brunch

This app has changed my life. If only I had enough money to go everywhere

Solid Execution. The concept is great and very well implemented. It’s unmistakeable that they understand their users!

Love the concept. I love this app so far! Love the idea for rating restaurants you have been to and being able to share with friends. I like being able to bookmark restaurants my friends have enjoyed so I can check them out soon. Also love the map function for the restaurant listings so I can answer the age old question of what’s good nearby to eat whenever I’m out and hungry.

Rated 20 recipes but still no reco for me. It says rated 10 to get reco at first so I did that, but then it suddenly says you need to rate 20 restaurants to get recommendations. I did that but the feature is still locked. It’s pretty deceptive. I basically just see the restaurants I’ve been to.

App is slow. App is a bit slow, needs more photos on restaurant pages

Innovative and fun!. Loving this app so far. Cant wait to see its development!

Awesome App. I’ve always wanted to rank all of the restaurants I’ve been to in one place and quickly see where my friends have been to as well, and this app lets me do all of that and more. The user interface is polished and easy to navigate, and overall just a great experience!

The App I Have Been Waiting For. I have been wanting someone to create an app like Beli for years and it’s finally here. I can rate all restaurants relative to each other, remember particular favorite items, and find fellow diners with similar taste. Excited to see where this goes but does so much already.

Great for Connecting Food Experiences with Friends. I’ve been obsessed since I’ve downloaded this app! It’s been so easy to use and I love how fun it is to document all the places I’ve eaten and visited. It’s worthwhile for people who spend the majority of their life enjoying eating and wanting to share intimate experiences with friends, rather than a review for the whole world to see. It makes going out with intention so much more fun.

The personal review app. Beli is great because it’s the only app that puts getting your friends’ recs front and center. I had been curating a list of hot spots for years and sharing them with friends. Now Beli makes that easy and algorithmically finds a way to rank them all against each other. Very neat app, very clean design, and a great product overall.

Let me give my own score. Love the concept, the app works great, is very fluid and easy to use. My one complaint, which I held off on signing up for Beli for months hoping it would change, is that you cannot give your own score, or adjust the score given. Hoping this gets added as it’s a simple feature that would be a huge addition to the rating process.

App is Great. I like the app a lot and it helps me keep all the places I’ve gone in one place instead of just im my notes. It’s a great idea! Maybe potentially in the future there could be a star rating system for each place, I think that’d be a fun addition to the app :) Overall, great app and I will be recommending it to friends.

I didn’t know I wanted this. The idea behind this app is how I like to rate things. I usually have a hard time teasing out my own opinions because I like everything, this app cleanly helps me to do that with food. The app is very clean and very intuitive, and most of all it is fun. I am so glad I got this app.

Fun and useful!. Really enjoying using Beli to rate my favorite places to eat and discover new ones. Interface is intuitive. Ranking process can feel weird at first (as you may be ranking fancy restaurants vs casual joints), but the more time you spend the less this is an issue - the app really learns your tastes!

Beli Rating of Restaurants. Love the app, however would love if the app showed me “Beli’s Score” based on its entire userbase rather than telling me what it “thinks” my score is or the score of what my friends think. Much rather get ratings across a larger pool of users. Would be a gamechanger feature for me.

Ive never written a review for an app before. I don't do this but this is such a brilliant app. Its still in beta so I know its only going to get better. My only regret is I wish it was in existence sooner so I don't have to go through all my yelp check ins and bookmarks to transfer my thoughts! Love that it is only for your circle of friends so I can write whatever and not feel like I have to write a perfect review

As a Foodie… This is the Best Thing Since Sliced Bread. I’m loving the options to compare food options, learn new places to consider and try and also see actual pictures of dishes. And even more so, it’s awesome to have others with like-taste buds - to engage with and get REAL honest feedback and recommendations. I love it and it will help me to refer my dearest clients as I’m a trusted source for many things “great”

Suggestions. 1. Display my ratings when I’m going through someone else’s lis. I’d love to see my rating on there as well instead of just a check mark, helps with comparison. 2. Add some sort of indicator for Michelin Star restaurants would be amazing 3. Tea shops shouldn’t be rated with restaurants, there should be a separate category for it.

BEST RESTAURANT TRACKER. I love this app! It is a fun way to see what I actually enjoyed in my city! When friends need recommendations in a certain area I can easily look at the map feature and give a solid recommendation. I also love the notes to keep track of what I actually enjoyed at the restaurant and what I can pass on next time I go. Overall, a very fun and enjoyable user experience!

Exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been searching for an app like this for years. I mostly use Yelp to find restaurants, but Yelp’s bookmarking capabilities are a joke. Finally, someone created an app that can help to answer the simple, yet beguiling question of “Where should we eat?”

Great Concept; I really like it so far!. I had been following the Beli IG account for a while now, and finally decided to download the app, and I am very pleasantly surprised thus far. I really like how easily it allows you to rank places you’ve tried, and how it allows you to keep lists of restaurants you would like to try. As a Yelp Elite five years running, this is a really cool, easy, and interesting way to rate and find restaurants, and keep them organized.

Fantastic App!! Easy, Convenient and Great Way to Share With Friends. Was invited to this app by a friend and have been obsessed! Love the automatic ranking of restaurants (based on comparisons) and great way to keep a running list of where to try in the future. Definitely recommend!

every foodie needs this !!. i have been trying to figure out the best way to organize restaurants and as it turns out, i just needed this app :) you can tell that a group of professionals in both restaurant experience and UX came together to creat this easy to use, enjoyable, beautiful looking and helpful app! thank you judy, eliot, emily & caroline!

Beli is so smart and so easy. I had been keeping my own sheets before but Beli is such a smart and user friendly app, that I wish I hadn’t wasted my time keeping track of my restaurants without the app before. Thank you Beli team, I look forward to seeing this app grow!

AMAZING!. I am actually obsessed with this app. It’s equal parts engaging and fun. I always loved talking about restaurants and where to get drinks with my friends and now it is so streamlined. I’ve learned about so many new spots in DC now and get excited to rate a place every time I try somewhere new. Love it!

Amazing App for the Food Obsessed. I am in love! I have had an excel database for a while now to track my restaurant experiences, but it was always so cumbersome to add new restaurants and share it with others. But Beli makes all that so simple! I’m truly in love and can’t wait to see what the team has in store next! Keep up the amazing work!

Amazing!. I always wanted to keep track of restaurants I’ve tried in Chicago. Something all in one spot and can show me my favs and be able to filter so I can give recommendations. I created a spreadsheet and it was horrible. This app is EXACTLY what I was looking for AND MORE!! I love that it’s accessible in other cities too. It makes me excited go try new restaurants and compare with friends

Suggestions. It would be great if we could rerank restaurants without it showing on our feed. I would also like to be able to add a picture of the restaurant that doesn’t include the food. Sometimes the vibe of a restaurant is what makes it great! I would also love a “cafe” option, since often times bakery’s and coffee/tea are the same category. I love to try new cafes so it’s difficult to rank them.

Great app. My boyfriend and I love trying new places and I used to keep a list in my notes but Beli has made it so much easier to keep track of new places we want to try as well as places we have already been! It’s so easy to use too I’m so happy to have an app like this

Just What I’ve Needed! For Years!!. This is the best app! I wish I’d had this years ago. I’m terrible at remembering what I’ve enjoyed previously at a restaurant, or what I said I’d like to try next time. This is just the best solution to that question what to order?! Hats off to the developers!! A++

It’s okay. To start with the good, the app is beautiful and well-crafted. It’s a great way to track the places you’ve been in a gamified way. On the other hand, it is entirely useless in Black neighborhoods (1 recommendation in the entirety of Southside Chicago. Really hurts to see an app recreate the implicit racism of the world) and the recommendation engine could use some improvement (it mainly just goes on cuisine, which is a fraction of what I care about, but I give them somewhat of a pass here, it’s hard to collect enough data points).

Useful App!. Downloaded this app after seeing it on Instagram and can genuinely say it’s one of the most useful apps I’ve downloaded so far! I previously used Google Maps to keep track of restaurants, but Beli makes it so much easier to catalogue where I’ve been and the ranking is much more helpful than I realized. If you love keeping track of restaurants, definitely get this app!

The perfect restaurant-tracking app. I was using the archaic iPhone notes app to track all the restaurants that I had visited and wanted to visit, until I came across this beauty of an app. Now, I use Beli for everything and rank everywhere I eat. Seriously, this app is the best possible platform to keep track of your dining and discover new places.

Great, but still needs improvements. Ok so love Beli, great app, but a few quality of life issues really hamper the experience for me personally. 1. Can we get a dark mode for the app? The white is so intense! 2. Notifications for when someone posts! I want to see when a friend posts something, like on any other social media app. This could be limited to just reviews and not bookmarks (I don’t really think those should go in the feed at all tbh) as well. 3. Ranking system to be a little more interesting and upfront in the profile. And that’s it! I think with these changes it could be pretty solid

Love this!. I absolutely love this app! It’s such a fun way to keep track of the restaurants I went to, what I ate and if I liked it. Before I found myself forgetting what was that one dish I ate from that really good restaurant, or did I actually like that restaurant I went to? Now I can document it all!

Useless. What a terrible app. I keep seeing all their reviews of restaurants on instagram so I downloaded it. Turns out you can’t just look through their list of reviews. What I really need is to see all restaurants in an area on a map. It does have map view but it only shows places on your list of “been to” or “want to try.” I’m trying to find places I want to try with your stupid app! Eventually if you interact with it enough it will show their recommendations just for you based on your flavor profile, but what a waste.

Great app for finding new spots to eat at.. Great app. I’m a native New Yorker and I’m discovering many hidden gems thanks to y’all. Went to Davids for a Pastrami Ruben today. It would be cool if you guys were able to add to features. 1. Tap on the address and it opens up in Maps for directions. 2. See what is ranked highest in the restaurant that makes it a go to. Thanks guys.

One of the most useful apps I own!. This was a much needed update to restaurant rating, and such an interactive and helpful way to receive and share tips with friends! Also amazing for keeping your own records, and sending lists of trip recommendation of places you’ve been!

Such a great bonding experience with friends and amazing way to see the city!!. My friends and I LOVE this app. It’s a great way for me to bond over traveling with my friends who live far away, and learn about the likes of my my friends who live near by. Every time I down out at a new restaurant I run straight to Beli! Sharing with all my friends indefinitely

Amazing and getting better all the time. This app is perfect for living in New York City, where restaurants and bakeries and coffee shops are literally life. It gets super complicated when you’re trying to remember where you wanna go, remember where you’ve been, and remember if you liked it. This is the app.

This app is awesome, but…. I love that I can track the restaurants I try & I love that it’s not super well known like yelp or four square bc ppl be stalkers 😂 but the thing I like about yelp is I can search by restaurant cuisine, price range, etc. I guess if the app is just for ranking it’s cool but I think it could really be next level if we could search with those filters or save according to those filters. Like Pinterest boards. I’m an NYC foodie so there’s mad options. Could also be useful for travelers too!

Good for restaurant tracking. Love this app for restaurant tracking! It’s great to keep restaurants I’ve been to on a separate list from those I want to go to. Also love being able to see my friends recommendations without having to ask. DO NOT use the reservation function on this app, I’ve had three people cancel on showing up for my reservation 10 minutes before. Not worth the cancellation fee

Good App but . . .. NYC isn’t the center of the food universe. This app can be used in so many cities, so why the heavy handed NY bias? For example, the Featured Lists that appear that appears so pretty prominently in the center of the Home Screen should be from my home city or at least my area. That said I gave it 4 stars because it is well written, has an outstanding rating algorithm, and will be more useful than my Notes list.

BEST way to track where you’ve eaten and what you loved!. My friends and I are obsessed and have moved our restaurant lists from our notes app to this! Never again do I have to try to remember all my favorite places, where I wanna take guests, or try to find the cool new spots online!

Favorite way to find new restaurants. I love trying new restaurants and this app makes it easy for me to 1. log and rate the places I’ve been 2. Find new restaurants to try based on people who have similar tastes. Kind of like if Yelp or TripAdvisor only gave you recs based on people with tastes similar to yours - I love it!

Sorting Restaurants. This app is great! I use it to sort restaurants that I want to try out. One thing I personally would really like to see is the option to sort restaurants by the neighborhood they’re in, or if there was an option to sort restaurants based on how close you are to them (through location services). That would really help with making decisions to eat when I’m out.

Some glaring flaws. Solid app but theres two things i would like updated at some point in time. 1) its easy to sandbag the number of reviews to raise to the top. A handful of beli users are going to one place and rating all resturants that are from the same chain. I saw a guy ranked ~7 that reviewed like 15 different coldstones in the same day 2) there should be a category for match rate (and i shouldnt have to manually referesh it by going to each individuals profiles)

Great app - could be improved. This app is already much better than google map lists as it makes restaurant reviews social and has a better UI, but still could be improved: - Ability to toggle on/off to show personal notes in the overall list view - Be able to add date(s) that the spot was visited - Be able to import notes from google list export data - Ability to create additional customized lists and share these with certain friends - Be able to post and suggest restaurants to tagged friends - See saved spots on the map based on diff tags So far though, I'm enjoying using it and have been very impressed with the number of spots included and the UI

Perfect app for tracking restaurants & bars. I just moved to a new city so it’s been great to have this app! Every time someone recommends a restaurant or bar for me to try, I pull out my app and immediately add it to my list. It’s so fun to rank places, write notes after the visits and include fav items on the menu. Highly recommend!

So helpful and so fun!. Beli is truly one of my favorite apps I’ve ever used! I am constantly writing down lists in my notes app of restaurants to try, restaurants I’ve loved, and restaurants I like to recommend for anyone visiting my city asking for recommendations! I appreciate how user friendly and personalized it is, I could (and have already) send hours ranking and saving new restaurants to try.

So fun! But please add this!. I love this app! I use it all the time to rank my favorite restaurants and find new ones. It’s become my go-to source for looking at photos and finding recommended dishes. BUT please add the ability to rank a location separately as a bar and a restaurant! There are so many places that I love their drinks but hate their food and vice versa and want to rank them accurately.

Never have to ask “where did we go again”. Selfishly, allows me to start cataloging where I’ve been, what dishes I’ve liked, and find a place in a city I’ve travelled to before. Socially, will allow me to bug my friends with their recommendations. Now that I’m gonna get my friends to contribute.

Great concept app UI can improve. Like the title says, I love the idea for the app, and continue to use it but I have a few places I wish things were better. - I’d love there to be an easier way to view the map. There should be a map icon to click on the bottom menu! - Seeing all restaurants which have been rated (not just by friends) on a map is something I’d like. Similar to Google maps or Yelp it would help me find places to go in new areas as it is now, without knowing the name of a restaurant or I can’t just find it, unless it’s recommended or trending. - I want to see average ratings along with friend ratings of restaurants. Seeing both gives a better idea than only what maybe one friend thinks.

Game changer for restaurant reviews. I love this app. I rarely look at restaurant reviews on Yelp anymore because they are so meaningless to me. Beli lets me rank my preferences against my preferences so I can create ranks that actually mean something! And the social aspect is pretty awesome, too. I love seeing where my friends have eaten and how they rank the restaurants. Thank you Beli!

The Perfect App. This is just the app I’ve been looking for to put together restaurant lists. I had been on an antiquated notes app for years which seems like the stone ages compared to Beli. Even without the social features, this is a must have for any food or restaurant lover.

Great for foodies to stay organized. Allows me to keep track of what restaurants I’ve been to and where I want to go, best part is that it’s personalized to me instead of rating restaurants according to popular opinion. As a vegetarian, I’m not going to love seafood and steakhouses. Very easy to use and the team is constantly improving the experience.
