Fun but glitchy. I love this game so fun and addictive! But on the third chapter when I got to the volcano entrance my iPad went dark! I have no idea how to get the game to work again. I have tried updating my iPad but it still doesn’t work. I have read the comments and a lot of other people are having the same issue. I really, really love this game and I hope now that you have enough comments to fix the glitches. Have a nice day goodbye!

Super fun & amazing graphics 😍 ended too soon though. I really enjoyed this game so much! I love the graphics, the missions, everything about this game was amazing! I’m so sad I beat the game already though. Took me a few weeks playing on and off but I eventually won and beat the gooey stu! When will there be new worlds and rescue missions? I really hope you guys update this game soon!!

Glitches & kicks me out >:. Just paid for this apple arcade because I really wanted to play this game and after playing it I love it but it started glitching once or twice here and there and just kick me out of the game and now I started playing as the girl turtle and I cant even play 5 minutes and boom it kicks me out completely, what the heck!? I hope this is an issue they are aware of and working on it because I really want to continue playing.

Great Platformer. Both my son and I loved playing this game, and were super jazzed to play the new levels and pick up where we left off, but the game started fresh - not the end of the world - and we’re not able to save progress - which is the end of the world, ha ha ha. I’m sure y’all are figuring this issue out, and we can’t wait to play again once it’s resolved. Just wanted to chime in and say that we’re also experiencing the issues brought up by the other players.

Loved it but too short!. I played the entire game in just a couple of hours. I personally loved it. It kept my attention and was super fun! Not something too terribly hard but also requires some thinking for the puzzles. It was just SO short!! Any info on an update to finish it out? Since the story isn’t over, according to the “ending” of this chapter?? I wanna keep playing!!

I’m in LOVE 😍,. Started to play this game at work, and the next time I looked up and hour had passed. Coworkers were ignored and work sat uncompleted due to video game awesomeness. My only problem is that when went to play today, my progress hadn’t been saved, so I had it took me back to the tutorial beginner stage. Is there anyway to save moving forward? Thanks for your help !!!

Fun,fun,fun. I love this game! Once I started I wanted to keep playing until I finished the game. There was a problem when I entered the gate at the end of chapter 3. When I lose the battle and it returns me to outside the gate I cannot start back over without freezing up and sinking into the lava then I have to fall into the lava and use up my stars before I can go in and start the battle like the very first time I entered. I also have enough for 5 hearts yet it hardly ever gives me 5. And the map would be great if we could go to each dot not just the general area. So hope you keep adding chapters!

Great game, with a few annoying bugs. Very fun game, not too hard to get into but provides some excellent platforming challenges later on. Highly recommend for an experience similar to the Crash Bandicoot games. A few bugs prevented me from giving this a full five stars, the final boss has some major bugs that make it a chore to finish, platforms despawn at the wrong times, or won’t spawn at all. Another major bug I ran into was while collecting all the shards I missed, I found that one in Magma Ridge is unobtainable upon revisiting the level, locking me out of completion. It also doesn’t show up on the map, that area is checked off for shards.

Love this game, but are you going to fix it?. This is my favorite Apple Arcade game. But since the last update it crashes every time on this one level. So frustrated! I have contacted support and they no longer reply to my emails. Please update with a fix! I paid for a year of Apple Arcade so I could play this game. Update- It has been fixed! I have finished the game a few times. Still has a few small glitches, but way better than before the last update. I love the cute characters! It’s challenging, but not so hard that I can’t get it. I am able to master it after trying for awhile. Thanks! BTY - I think that there was a hint of a a sequel at the end. Maybe? 😁🙏🏻❤️🐢🐢

This game is very fun. If you think this game is stupid looking, it’s actually a bit hard. It is very fun though, I feel like the ending happened very fast. It really annoyed me when it said TO BE CONTINUED... When is the next chapter going to come out? It’s a really fun game and when the next chapter comes out I will get it, or update or whatever. Really I think you should get this game if you want a nice adventure game. I also like cookies 🍪 get this game

Genius!. I love this game so much and very happy to have stumbled upon it. However I have come across a glitch. I cannot reopen game to play. I am stuck at the "boss" in gopher island. Once it goes through the opening sequence to resume, it gets stuck on a black screen. I would love to keep playing! Please fix this! 😩🙏🏼

Addictive but glitchy. I really like this game , but it can be confusing as you have to figure out how to get to certain areas to get everything on a certain level. This means that you may have to use one shell to defeat enemies and then switch to a different shell to push a button. For me, it’s still fun trying to figure it all out. Also, it is very glitchy. At one point I was ready to just un-install. It was after you get all three flames lit and you have to enter the volcano gate. The purple spirit thing would laugh and then nothing would appear until I spun or prodded it somehow and then once defeated them all the camera zoomed like another set of enemies were fixing to spawn but nothing happened but also nothing changed to where I could walk across so I walked back to the purple spirit thing trying to get it to trigger and eventually things did appear randomly. It went on like this for awhile and it was like I was just stuck in limbo. I tried again the next day and everything finally worked right, but I’ve experienced more glitches like this further along in the game. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m in the newer add on content now or what. Overall I think it’s worth playing, but you really have to be a patient person.

Great game, some buggy controls. Having a lot of fun with the game so far, definitely a highlight of a Apple Arcade. Only thing keeping this a five-star rating is the controls for the wall jump / double jump. It’s a very inconsistent experience (also there was basically no guide telling you how to do this, I found it by accident). This is a problem when trying to light the three flames at that point in the game. I’m guessing this wall jump comes into play but it’s not working 90% of the time. And besides that, I have zero clue what to do now in the game. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

100% recommend!. I was very skeptical of paying the money for Apple Arcade because it was very very new when I took a leap and tried it for free. I finished the game in 2 days and was so excited for more! I can definitely say this game has been fun to play and I can’t wait for the next update!!

Can’t stop!!!!!!. I love how creative this game is. I played a few games from the arcade and got bored within the first 10 mins, but this game honestly sucked me in within the first 5 mins of playing it. And it puts many of the other games to shame. Great work developers for creating such an spectacular adventures game!

FUN. Great game, I like that it is lengthy and the fact that you have to explore different areas in order to find the shells. I would like to see the next part to this game released soon. Also more shells or maybe upgrade the shells. Like allow for the green shell to be able to attack enemys as well and not just walls.

Glitches??. Soo I enjoy this game, good graphics and good storyline, but I’ve had to start over multiple times to try and fix a glitch that just ends up happening again. The glitch is that I’ll die, and when I start over, suddenly my shell doesn’t work. Says no ability. If I go back to a checkpoint, it doesn’t give me the option to switch shells anymore. Thus I have to start AGAIN and hope it doesn’t happen again. This last time it happened and I died, when I came back I had the plain original shell and still no option to change shells.

Bad controls. Pretty good game but I think it’s just very hard to control I couldn’t even control fast enough to get it done I played for like 20 mins and then I got frustrated with it and deleted it but it is a good game just the controls are so hard so basically you’re turtle just moves by itself and you have to tap to make it jump hold to stop and swipe left or right to change position and that sounds really easy but try doing that while you’re dogging jumping over traps and fighting monsters ant the same time and I kinda want to get more of a story

Love this but sooo glitchy. I love this game it is fun and engaging and kind of puzzling which I like. I like having to figure out how to get to a certain area but the game is super glitchy. The turtle will get stuck in certain spots or move super slow. I finally got passed a spot in the moon tower but now I died and the blue door I just opened to fight the little laughing purple guy is closed and no matter what I do I cannot get it open again. Makes me sad that I may have to delete this game bc I cannot proceed and don’t want to start over from the beginning of the game again. Developers please help if you can!!!

A delightful, challenging game. I could have sworn I’d already reviewed this, but I guess not. This game is the only reason I had Apple Arcade, it’s such a fun little game. It manages to be interesting and difficult without being impossibly frustrating. Since I’ve run through the entire game twice, I’ve unsubscribed from Arcade but I’ll sub again once it’s updated. Developers, do you guys have an eta on an update past the final volcano boss? I’m eagerly awaiting it.

Almost there, but has some HUGE issues. I really liked this game... great concept, music, graphics, and excellent use of 3D movement!!! That said, I was REALLY bummed out on several aspects: 1) the developer REALLY missed the mark on the controls — very frustrating. 2) the map is not helpful at all... it doesn’t indicate where (or how) to go. 3) collecting extra health (heart) spaces is worthless because you can almost never fill all the spaces. Each time you die, only 3 hearts are refilled with very little opportunity to fill the others (I killed EVERY enemy I saw... and still not enough.) Finally, just as I was getting into the game (after finishing just 3 short chapters), the game was over with a “to be continued” message. Felt rushed and incomplete — also very disappointing. With some small improvements, my opinion would change and this game could become a classic!

Good but has a glitch. So I love the game but for the first time I made it to the volcano and when I do the lever and the mini boss thing starts and I try to kill the first enemy the game just kicks me off and I have to start the mini boss all over again and it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating and plz fix other than that I love the game.

Great game!. Absolutely loved this game and I am looking forward to the next update! If I had one complaint it would be that I couldn’t save after defeating the final boss so I expect that I will have to do it again when an update comes out. But no biggie.

Best Game on Arcade!. I am constantly playing this game any chance that I get! The graphics are amazing and the puzzles set in place for the player are so creative and I feel so smart whenever I solve them. On top of that, the concept of the three different shells are so cool. Can’t wait for future updates so I can play some more!

The best game in the world. It’s really fun because you can explore all around and I really love it it’s just the best thing I love it thank you people who made this game because it’s really fun you can get powers from your shell and you can change your shell it’s really fun

Good but very simple game. This platformer is pretty good for what is. Controls are pretty simple and responsive. Graphics don’t show too many glitches. The problem is that this game is for probably the youngest players. It’s just too simple to make it worth the tome for anybody who wants anything complex or original. It’s just walk left, right, duck and stay in place, jump, double jump. Get it for kids but don’t waste time on it if you’re experienced player of mobile games.

Love the game but....... I really enjoyed this game and was so excited when I saw that new levels were released. So, I updated the app. Ever since I updated it, however, the game won’t load. It will say that it is syncing with the cloud for hours(I actually left it to load for hours while doing something else). I would greatly appreciate it if this could get fixed. It is the only reason I haven’t given the game 5 stars.

Nice game. I like this game, it’s really cute but I have had twice a glitch of when I launch again my game, the turtle is stuck in the air and I can’t do anything and even when I restart the game, the glitch is still here. The first time was okay because I’ve just started the game but the second time, I was pretty far…. I don’t want to restart it from the start…

Fantastic game!. This has everything you want in a game. The graphics rotate and it doesn’t feel linear. You switch between 3 shells, each with a special ability. A beautifully immersive world is home to this amazing game and it holds true to every promise it makes. Also I just cleared Lava Lair and hope that it really is to be continued. Please. For the devs: I’m having trouble with the pre-volcano area. I hit the switch and nothing happens. I go in and out, the bridge sinks...with me on it, poofs me back to checkpoint. Bridge is still sunk. Walk into the lava again and Bridge is back but I am at 1 ❤️ and have a hard time. Help? Also could you add more ways to use coins; I am frequently at max ❤️s, ruling out the soda. I am not a completionist, meaning I do not get all the gophers and have no use for candy. I dislike items like the Candy and Gizmo due to them practically cheating. And now I am a millionaire with nothing to buy! Also in the Molten Respite the dude says he has new stuff but doesn’t.

Darn good game. This game is very good. It has a great story though not spoken that much. It has great enemies and characters. There are bugs but they are not that common. I wish it had a little bit more of a ending after destroying the boss. I feel it has a abrupt end. Overall a really good game. Can’t wait for the sequel or prequel or a new update.

This game is great!. So like I said it’s great ! But the story is poorly written!The gameplay was awesome. I love the 3D animation (except the turtles). I think the worst world is “Road of the Wilderness “. But my favorite world is either “The climb” or “Gopher beach”. My problem is when you rescue all the gophers you don’t get a reward which is crazy!😡 Oh and the movement of the characters is soooooooooooo lazy! And when it says “to be continued” at the end of gooey stew, you should definitely update it with a new plot and new worlds so we can have some fun after the final battle. So final thoughts: Pretty good but work on the animation,story and update it after the battle with a new menace!

Loved this game. Loved the gameplay, super soothing music and sounds and the quality of the graphics. A few changes I’d recommend would include: mentioning what the shards are for, being clear on why you’d want to collect the hidden gophers, understanding which way you’re supposed to go - I know it’s for exploring but it’s confusing when you come back to the game after not playing. Oh, I also had no idea how to double jump until reading others reviews.

Loved it until it kept me from going forward!. I have been invested in this game for a long time and have been very patient with glitches and updates, but this latest is unbearable. I already unlocked all 5 tentacles but it still says I haven’t done one in Bleak Coast and won’t let me move forward. I’ve reset my progress and have started the game all over twice. About to delete and give up.

Well done. It’s like that classic blue hedgehog game but with a turtle and less stuff to collect (thankful). Really good platformer with a shell switching puzzle element where you unlock new abilities that expand the cute 3D island world as you explorer. The touch controls on the iPad aren’t great so my guess is this plays better with a controller. My little turtle went into the lava or spikes so many times due to unregistered taps. The turtle walks automatically so unless you encounter a wall you fall constantly. While frustrating the game has many save points so you don’t have to replay the challenging parts too many times. Despite a few glitches where moving elements of the world didn’t reset I found it pretty entertaining. The graphics are top notch, colorful and smooth with lots of nice details, thumbs up to the art department. I would like to see a difference in the characters, the girl and boy turtle play the same so other then finding all the hidden items there is no reason to replay the levels. All in all I found it an enjoyable adventure 🐢👍🏼🏝🌋

Issues in Lava level right after level 2 blue shell. There is something wrong with the game. My daughter has been playing this game and I couldn’t figure out why she could not go back into the lava level after she gets the level 2 blue shell. She was stuck and decided to start over. When she got to the same place and died it spawns you and the check point but you can go back into the level because of the lava. Are we missing something or is something wrong with that level?

Running around in circles. I will admit it, I am totally addicted to this game. However, I am at a point I am running around in circles and it’s starting to frustrate me and make me not want to play any more. Could use some tips and tricks for this game when you get stuck trying to figure out how to light the 3 torches that need to be lit. Some basic hits and tips for instances like this would be amazing. Otherwise I love it and will do my best to not give up this running around in circles.

iCloud sync not working. Love you guys and don’t want to leave 1 star for a great game, but I redownloaded the game in order to play the new content, and my save was completely gone. I tried completely signing out of my iCloud account and signing back in, but that did not work. Update: My save has been recovered with the new update! Can’t wait to play the new levels!

ADDICTED. I love this game sOoOoOoo much. I’ve beat a few other arcade games already but this one I simply am addicted to. It’s so fun and nostalgic for me because it reminds me a bit of Yoshi’s Island! It’s so cute, too! Perfect amount of adventure and challenge. I’m a bit confused though because I got all three flames and beat the “boss” and everyone celebrated but then the Gopher says there’s still the volcano and “to be continued” so I’m not actually sure if I beat the game or not because the map shows one more blank world? Hm.

Cute but Slow and Tired Genre. This game gets two stars entirely because of how cute it is. I was bored with the game within minutes due to how slow and simple the gameplay is in a genre that has been done to death by this point, but I played more simply because of how charming the graphics and style of the game is. If you haven’t already played a few dozen of these sort of auto scrolling games you might find this one to be a blast. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Must Play on Arcade. I’ve tried out a dozen or so games so far on the arcade, this is by far my favorite so far. You guys did an amazing job of creating a simple, yet fun, and rewarding platformer. Brings back some memories of some of my favorite PS1 platformers, while being completely new and refreshing. Looking forward to more from you.

Update?. Way of the turtle is the best new addictive game I’ve played in months. I am obsessed it is so fun and just the right amount of mentally challenging I have finished all of the available chapters as of right now as well as found 20 out of 24 gophers and, I’m just wandering/ wanting a new update soon!

Great game but buggy controls. I’m having lots of fun playing this game . The issue I’m having is sometimes when I’m trying to jump he doesn’t jump and causes me to die Instead. Idk if it’s because of my screen but my screen is clean I have no scratches or cracks on it, also when I’m trying to jump at the right time cuz it’s all about timing, instead he does a turn and causes me to die again. I know we can probably use a controller for a better experience but this is a mobile game and I should still be able to enjoy it using just my phone. That’s all I have to say.

New level. I want to give this game a 5 stars because I love playing so much. It’s really fun and I love the characters. However, after waiting months for new levels, the release of the last level is extremely difficult to the point where it feels impossible. There are no save points, so you keep dying multiple times over and over again. It got too irritating to keep playing. So until there are save points added to the new challenge, I can’t continue playing.

SUPER UPSET 😡 sooooooo angry 😤. I love the game and all but I just got out of the volcano and I looked on my map to see where I was at and it teleported me to the main place on the map and I continued on but I finished all the tentacles but one and the last one is in the mountain valley and it won’t let me go back I’m sooooooo mad 😡 😱 and before all this I used to play on my dads phone which is mine now and when I erased the phone I kept my Apple Arcade ID and when I downloaded the app again it was gone I’m sooooo mad😤😡 I was almost to the end on my other game I will give 5 stars if it is fixed plus a good review but until then I will not play this game again I’m soooo angry 😤

Stunning design. This is in my opinion one of the must play Apple Arcade games. It starts deceptively simple, but the special powers and 3D layout allow the developers to take the experience to heights very hard to reach in mobile gaming. The controls are also innovative and among the best in a mobile game.

Really enjoyable, able to play in bursts. Very much enjoying this adorable adventure. Levels are challenging but not discouraging. Unfortunately encountered an issue in Starfish Coast that’s preventing me from proceeding. A “floating” raft is supposed to transport me around an obstacle - when I first hit this challenge the rafts worked; after failing twice the rafts are stuck, blocking progress. Please fix!

Really cool platformer. Good controls with a controller. Cool that levels are kind of 2.5d where it’s 2d and then the perspective rotates and you traverse another path in the same area. Generous checkpoint system for a relaxed experience. One complaint I have is that I rarely know where to go so I rabidly visit many levels. If it pointed out to me which direction or area to progress then that would be great

Maybe animals can give you directions. I know I know... It’s a puzzle but Without information (Info) It’s very hard to win. I’ve played this game for about 30 minutes and I’m at the beach. Lots of fun, but ending was rushed. So kuddos to the developer, extended the whole rotating 3D graphics know from Mr. Crab and extended it into a full fledged game. Just finished playing from end to end and it was enjoyable (albeit seemed short). The mountain area is buggy and there are instances (right after obtaining the level 2 Panzerknacker) were you can get stuck, get off the path and all kinds of weird glitches happen. The boss battle and the “to be continued” just underscore my opinion. Not necessarily a game stopper, but makes the game feel rushed and unpolished. 4/5 stars, mainly because of the length and the controls that are frustrating at times. Also, it’s easy to get lost and not figure out where to go making you wander endlessly (would be nice to figure out a way to let players know where to go).

My 4 year old son is obsessed!. My 4 year old son loves this game and initially wanted to watch me play it on Apple TV. It became a real father son bonding experience. Since i finished it he wants to play it himself now. He loves starting from the start and getting all of the shells. Now I have to watch him play. Great game! Well done.

Soooiiiii gooood. This is honestly such a great game. It’s the first iPhone game ever, and I’m not exaggerating, that I actually WANT to finish. This is so nostalgic but also new and unique. I get crash bandicoot/donkey kong vibes, but this holds its own, referencing those games instead of ripping them off. I love the level design, and the way that your perspective changes frequently. I like the different mechanics of each shell, and understanding the colour coordination in the levels to learn when to change. Overall, so great. Soooo great. Can’t wait to finish it. Thanks developers, whoever you are. Feels thoughtful and well executed.

Love it.. I love this game so much, I’ve restarted it three times, but I get really sad whenever I defeat the goo guy at the end that it just keeps telling me “to be continued” !!!

Incredibly good value. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this game as a part of the Apple Arcade launch. I’ve probably had 5-6 hours gameplay out of it and am pending the final chapter’s release. If you like Mario or power-up based platform games which are incredibly addictive then this is for you. Very addictive and fun. 10/10

Very god. I loved this game, because it immersed the player in an interesting storyline, as well as providing a fun gameplay. Both chapters of the story were fun, and I liked that it gave you the opportunity to pick your character. My only criticism is that the game was released without finishing it, but I eagerly await the release of chapter 3. I hope that it will come out soon, but otherwise it is an incredibly beautiful game and I recommend it to everybody

iCloud saved game doesn’t update!. I’m stuck in the same level on my iCloud save despite progressing way past it, had to start a brand new game from the beginning, waste of my time

Too much annoying glitches. Hat achievements not working. Hi, I am long time player and today I went back to the game and saw the new content. I saw that there were new achievements and bought some of the hats but the achievements didn’t tigger and still show as unobtained. Edit: one of the second location towards the end of the beach seems to be glitching with the tentacle visibility flickering and I am unable to complete the 5 tentacle clearing with 4/5 done.

Great game!. Enjoy the ‘Metroidvania’ style, graphics and gameplay. Good introduction to plateformers for kids and grownups. For when we can expect chapter 4 ?

Love(d) it! But stuck on a level!. I like games at just the right difficulty. But I’m stuck at a level that is giving me SO SO SO much anxiety. As the lava rises (the first level with rising lava), I can’t, for the life of me, control my fingers fast enough that I can get the turtle to safety. None of the other levels were like this. I played at just the right difficulty - it was challenging but not impossible. It’s been almost a week now and I play for a while each day. Now I have to put it away as my heart races against the clock and I fail over and over again. It’s not a feeling I enjoy when looking to relax and enjoy a game.

Update?. When is this going to be updated waiting for chapter 4 and more! Love the game play it is so fun!

Round and round we go!. Mostly frustrating. While this game is beautiful, you don’t know where you’re really going or where you should go. I found myself going back to the same places on multiple occasions and eventually just gave up. The map is quite useless. When I reach the end of my one-month free trial in Arcade, I will probably not renew... but if I do, it sure won’t be because of this game.

Love this game. Absolutely love this game. Not sure how far I’ve progressed, but I play a bit every day. The visual art, simplicity of the game and sound are done well. Right level of difficulty for me. Note to other players: a game controller of some sort is HIGHLY recommended. I used touch screen on the screen then switched to Xbox controller and it made a world of difference.

1.2.1 Update Deleted All My Saved Games. Had completed the game (so far) and was excited to see that new levels were out, but my saved games are all gone. Really disappointing.

5th tentacle bug ?. There’s no way to get the 5th one, game doesn’t seem to be the same as the walk though vids ???

Nice game but tedious. The game starts well, it’s beautiful and has a simple but compelling game play. But as you play, you go through area after area with lots of one-way passages but revisiting the areas a lot, unable to choose where you gonna for the most part. They all look different but with no numbers or ability to warp or marked paths between them it’s a labyrinth of dead ends and “I can see it but I can’t get there”. I’m currently stuck for the last 2 days: no idea what to do next and no way to find out other than wandering aimlessly, again, unable to chose where to go, just hoping I stumble upon the thing that will move the plot forward. Simplicity is great - but this is so “simple” that it becomes monotonous and hard to navigate.

I loved it. This game has beautiful graphics, sound and music, as well as cute characters. It manages to combine classic 2D platform mechanics with perfectly rendered 3D environments, and it’s playable on iPad using touch screen or controller and Apple TV using remote or controller, and it syncs your game progress as you switch between devices. It is really easy to start playing, but it gets progressively harder and more complex as your skills develop. I was disappointed by the ending honestly, but it’s all about the journey not the destination.

Level issue….. I’m trying to get through a level that I am stuck on for a week. I’ve looked at videos of other people playing this level and they get through but I can’t. Going to give up so not totally happy with the game

Best game I’ve played in 10 years. Seriously the gameplay is classic, timeless. The art both beautiful and creative. Well done developers this game is excellent, it’s challenging and the systems in place for progression are smart and intuitive. Had so much fun playing this gem.

Amazing game. And the update only makes it better. This is one of the best on Apple Arcade so far.

Great potential. A nice relaxing platform game that has great potential. There seems to be some inconsistency in the response latency to button presses that can sometimes be frustrating.

Follow the Way of the Turtle. I love turtles and there aren’t enough turtle games. I don’t care much for platformers but this one is cute, fun, and playable even if you’re not the fastest button-masher. Calm music and nice graphics, too. And you can play as long as you want without paying extra! Awesome job putting this game on Arcade, from another gamer tired of insanely greedy in-app purchases. 🐢💚🐢🕹👍

Almost there. I don’t think there is a need for the turtle to automatically walk. This unnecessarily makes it harder when you are on a small ledge. Please make this optional and this will likely make it a 5 star game.

Update Game Soon!. I absolutely love this game! I was addicted to it and played it every chance I got! I made it to Chapter 3 awhile ago. I wish that the game would be updated soon so I can continue playing! The game is very fun and challenging and makes your brain work a lot! Please update soon!

Love this game. I love this game and have been playing nonstop since Apple Arcade was released. The only thing is I’m just wondering when more gameplay will be available because I got to the “to be continued...” part of the game and wondering if there’s anything more I can do on the game at this moment.

Great game but there is one thing. So Way of the Turtle is a great game and all, but I can’t get the shard that is in the jungle on the left because the hammer traps don’t work now for some reason, so please fit it. Besides that, Way of the turtle is a great game and keep up the work!

I love it! But I don’t understand the heart upgrade. This is a lot of fun, and it’s one of my favorite games from the arcade. What’s the point of buying a heart upgrade if when I die it only refills me to 3/4 hearts every time instead of all 4? That seems counterintuitive to me.

We love it!. My 4yo loves the wall jump ability. I love the pace, gameplay, and graphics. Everything is so well done. Challenging but doable with practice. Love the variety of scenes. My son requests that the creators add a purple shell that gives flying ability please! Thank you!

Excellent game, last update confusing. I went back into the game after not playing for awhile and looks like I need to find 5 tentacles, but only 4 are on the map. I have wandered in every direction but can’t find the last one. Just stuck I guess.

Great platformer. A great platformer that looks easier than it actually is. The game does get pretty challenging but never felt unfair. It looks great and plays great. Definitely recommend

Fun game, broken controls. The action (attack/dash/crouch) tap gets interpreted as a direction change swipe half the time, which basically makes the game unplayable. If the controls worked, it’d be a great platformer.

Was enjoying it but. Like other reviews it can be very glitchy and unplayable. Hit an area in jungle ruins where all my shells disappeared, lost all use of my abilities, and the map was wiped completely blank. I couldn't progress or go back because they both required shell abilities to do so.

A lot of fun when the controls work. Often after changing direction, the game doesn’t recognize taps to allow you to jump, which is pretty bad in a platformer. I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max. It didn’t start happening until after I got the dash ability. Other than that, it’s a fun creative beautiful platformer!

Controls need to be improved. Really loved the game.. I think it's one of the hits It's just there are few bugs with controls like jumping over an obstacle or enemy And there is quite few levels when you are stuck and there is no way out (bugs)

Control issues, otherwise great. Fun game made frustrating with poor controls. Half the time you try to jump, it doesn’t respond or is slow to respond and you end up dying. Makes an otherwise fun game very annoying.

AHHHHH!!!. I’m writing this review now because I’m SO ANNOYED! I’m on chapter four I believe, and the controls are absolutely killing me. This game is SO GOOD, but I’m RAGING right now at these controls. Towards the end, it takes some precision finger work to get your turtle where it needs to go and I’ve just died about 20 times. I’m going back to try and finish BUT IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT!

Fantastic Platformer. This is my second favorite Apple Arcade game, next to manifold gardens, and it is amazing! So much fun to play, and has a good deal of challenge. However, it does end on a cliffhanger, so tell me: when is the sequel coming out?

I need a update. So I really like this game and need Apple Arcade to get it together. I’m in my house bored and need a good game just like this one. Also the same for the last campfire great game to keep calm and have your mind off of things for a lil.... APPLE ARCADE PLEASE UPDATE....

Great Start. Chose Way of the Turtle as my first game on Apple Arcade, and it did not disappoint! Lots of fun, and I’m 25 years old. It’s really a game for all ages. Can’t wait for Chapter 4! My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a release date yet! Hopefully not too long.

Amazing game great developers. This game is so cool and so fun and it’s a cute story I am so excited to continue playing this game took the developers bit to get the update out but I am sooo excited to play this more and finish what I started thank you so much illusion lab and you guys are awesome and so Is this game.

Super fun, but kind of short and it won’t let me play anymore. The game is super fun I’ve played the whole thing through like twice. The ending is a bit weird and I hope there will be more in the future. I can’t go into the game anymore though because it glitches out as soon as I open it.

Great game, very fun, but loses progress every time we play it. We liked playing the game but the fact it starts from the very beginning every time we go to play makes this game unplayable. 3 times now it has completely gone back to the beginning after being very far along.

Worth the price of admission!. This game is so much fun. At first glance it is a take on traditional Mario games, but it is so much more. I just got to the end of chapter three today and can't wait for an update! The levels are challenging and the game looks fantastic!

Needs to be fixed. I think it is fun but when you find the person at the end it won’t let me win so it just kills the turtle and you have to do it again fix it or I am writing another review with 1 star

Awesome Platformer. Absolutely thrilled with Way of the Turtle; it scratches my platformer itch. The controls are simple and fun, the levels are beautiful, and there are secrets abound. The switchable shells are really fun to play around with too. Can’t wait for the rest of the game to be released. Bravo!

Great. The game was great. I took me a while to figure out where the flames were but eventually I got. Also, when is the next update coming out for the game. I really enjoyed playing and would like to see more shells and maps.

Good game but it crashes too much. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great game, and it almost deserves five stars, but now before I can even get much past the save point I return to through the save before the game crashes. Because of this I am unable to continue in the game.

No direction on what to do. Been playing for 2 days now, have the map, been over the entire world the past two days and still no indication on what I’m supposed to be doing. When I leave jungle ruins it says return to jungle ruins yet I’ve been thru jungle ruins every which way and every other area every which way and I can’t progress. After two days, I give up

Devoured this game. A little unclear about what happens after chapter 3. While a single player game you can have three saved games. Great graphics and not just another 2D scrolling game.

Nice game. This is a nice game. However, i have been getting stuck at certain levels and there is no walkthrough and hints. I have been trying over and over to find a way to light the flames and open those shell buttons to free the gophers but getting nowhere. Please add walkthrough and instructions and more hints.

It was good when it worked. I love this game so much, the style and the gameplay is so cute and unique. But now when I go into the game and press play it crashes and takes me out of the app. I’ve tried going into it multiple times. If you fix this, I will change my review to 5 stars.

It’s a good game, but. It’s a good game, but it’s not what I expected when I started Apple Arcade. There are generally two types of games in the App Store these days. The games that are free, fun for a bit and heavily driven by ads and cash buys. Then there are the really good games that cost money. Apple Arcade games fall into the first category. I’m not willing to pay 5 dollars a month for a game that I can get for free and play ad-free by turning off my with-fi.

Pretty good. So I got this game a while ago, and it’s a great game except for it glitches me out every time I play it. One second I’m playing the next I’m kicked out!! If you could fix that it would be the best app on my phone!!!

The beginner. I wouldn’t consider myself a gamer by far. But I have to say I love this game and look forward to sequel. I love how the camera rotated the screen. The game controls were simple. Even for a beginner. In short, I loved the game. Great work.

Blue turtle stuck at level 1. I’ve played through to cloudy heights but my Blue turtle is still only level 1 so it can’t slam down and I cannot finish the game. I completely started over, thinking that I missed something and it happed again. Now what?

Love it. This game is so much fun! The game keeps shutting out when ni click on the saved profile so 8 can’t play anymore. Overall this game is great!, so much fun. Developers please keep making more games like this and if possible please let me know about the game not working my son and I love playing this game.

Shell of a good time. It’s a fun quick time killer. It’s somewhat unique with a distinctly familiar flair. I crashed it while trying to switch shells, but that’s the only issue I’ve seen. Best game in the new Arcade? Nah, but totally worth a little time.

A glitch with the hearts.. I love this game it’s a great game but when your doing the forsaken trials and your turn off your phone or go to Notification Center and come back to the game it automatically sets your hearts to 3 even if you have 10. Great game but this just ruins it for me. 😐

Glitch. I completed chapter 3 and when I went to go into the Valcaino the bridge never showed up. After the doors opened. So there’s no way for me to keep playing

Losing my place and having to start over. I love this game, but there are areas where I will respawn and my shells are no longer available. Or when I load the game it is just a beach with nothing on it.

Fantastic!. At first glance I expected this game to be targeted towards a younger audience and would feature easy puzzle adventures. This is not the case at all. This game can be very challenging! The graphics are phenomenal. Everything about this game seems very refined. I have enjoyed every moment playing it.

Add a skip button and make the boss easier. The boss laughing and the door closing and the rocks going down is long and you should add a skip button. Without that it is just a little boring and annoying. And one more thing: the boss is too hard. I worked for 2 hours and still couldn’t beat the boss.

Nice, if you’re patient. Got stuck on a level where I need a new type of shell to get past. No idea how to find the new shell. Spent about 5 minutes back-tracking until a one-way barrier prevented me from going any further. So no way forward, no way back, no clear indication what to do next. Idgaf enough about the game to go hunt down a game guide to figure out what I did wrong.
