I wanted to badly to like it….but all of my work in it is gone. I loved DangerNote when I first used it. I was on a roll writing an important piece for work, over a thousand words and nearly done! DangerNote said it was saving the work but when I reopened it to fact check the piece, nothing. Everything was gone. Now I need to start over on an even tighter deadline. So heartbroken and upset to have all of my work lost that DangerNote said it was saving…I would not recommend writing anything you want to save in this app.

Such an amazing app!. I love this app. It really makes me focus on adding lots of details and I never finish my thought before time runs out. I love this app and I only have one recommendation: I wish you could set a timer for how long you continue on another note. But if that does not happen, I could still write a chapter book by making the first line chapter 1, chapter 2, or really chapter____

Please add a function to remove ads. App works exactly as advertised but I wish there was a way to remove ads. Payment is not a issue. Seriously, enough to buy dinner, none of this coffee nonsense. Otherwise it functions exactly as advertised and helps tremendously when you catch yourself overthinking. Perfect for when you need to step it up a notch at the beginning of a draft or project.

Deleting my own work. I’ve done this multiple times and it’s really heart-breaking but after you write on a story for days it still stays as your most recent story so if you click the arrow in the left corner it’ll take you back to it. I’m one of those people who worries about losing progress so I always click save note. If you click it while on the page where you started your note it takes off all progress other than the first five minutes. So this is probably the third time I’ve saved a note and then continued writing and then went back and cleared it on accident. I had over 7,000 words reduced to less than 500. This isn’t the worst one but it was still enough to make me wonder if it’s worth it using an app where I can’t help but save over what I’ve written. Trying to remember your stories is hard especially when they’re detailed with multiple events. Wish it wouldn’t do that or at least a warning. Like are you sure you want to delete almost all of your story?

IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE ADHD etc…. This is the best app to have ever been created, I enjoy writing I really do but I get so godforsaken sidetracked there is no making any progress whatsoever but with this app I find I have no other choice then to push thru and finish atleast 5 min writing segments btw I’m into songwriting, screenwriting, & much more nothing else in this world could have saved my passion like this has! Thanks a million!!!

Useful Little Tool. This app is pretty cool. I’m not sure how much I’ll use it to be honest. I downloaded it not knowing what it was. When I first saw that it would delete your work, I felt anxious. It’s not so bad. It gives you time to pause. There is a red bar that moves from left to right on the screen letting you know when it’s about to delete your work. It has a dark grey bar that shows you how much time is left. You have the option to save your work when you’re done, and you also have the option to keep typing. This may be good for a brain dump or free write. It may also be good if you want what you write to get deleted. I’m going to give it 5 stars as it follows through with what it says it will do, and I’ve had no issues using it.

Love this app!. This app has helped me so much with my writing. There’s only one or two little issues but nothing serious. The main issue is trying to move your cursor for typing without it deleting your work. But there’s not much you can do for that I don’t think.

Just, wow. I just started this app and I am a young writer as well, like some others have said. I have so many ideas but I struggle with getting words on a page. I was able to finally write one of the most important scenes of an idea with the app, and now I can finally progress. Thank you so much for this idea. I’ve tried having another app on my laptop to help, but I’ve struggled to find time and wanting to go and write my ideas down.

Peace at last. I have been a writer in the mix of social media for almost a decade. I have felt both emotionally drained but also emotionally drowning in a place where connecting was a risk on all sides. With this app I feel peace moving through me as I continue to keep my passion in writing thriving without feeling all that I felt in the eyes of too many. -Tera

Needs Ads removal option. David- Love the app and think it’s perfectly reasonable to include ads and a donation option, but why not provide an IAP option for ads removal? I would much rather pay to remove the ads than give a tip and still have to look at them. If you’re no longer going to update the app, it’s probably best to leave it as is. It would be disappointing to pay to have ads removed only to run into bugs due to lack of maintenance with future iOS updates. Either way, great job and thanks for making a positive contribution to the world. Cheers.

Simple, easy, and motivating!. This app is fantastic, especially for something that’s been made free for everyone to use. The design is simplistic, lacking all the bits and baubles that could distract you during a writing session. It’s very easy to use and user-friendly. The app is also highly motivating. It provides around a 5-second grace period for you to stop typing during a session before the built-in anti-procrastination timer kicks in at the bottom of the screen, just above your keyboard. That grace period is something I really appreciate, as someone who just really can’t stand leaving behind typos in my writing to “come back to later”. It also has very, very few ads when compared to other freely available apps. The only ads I’ve ever encounter are one tiny banner across the top of the screen, and one fullscreen ad with a dismissal timer that only ever pops up if you fail your writing challenge. Plus, as far as I’m seeing, if you choose to donate some money to the developer - which helps minimize the prevalence of ads - the ads disappear! Already very minimal ads, and all it takes is buying the developer a cup of coffee to permanently remove those, too! (As far as I can tell; I haven’t actually confirmed this.) Overall, it’s an amazing app, and it’s been great for my writer’s block. Highly recommend it for anyone who needs that extra kick.

Definitely work!. It does as it say. Now, I only wish I could donate just to get rid of the ads and maybe get extra features, such as customizable background, text colors, and different fonts. Sizing too. The current one is a bit hard to read for my lousy eyes and if there’s a way to enlarge the fonts, it’s not very obvious to me. I also would like to have an option to ‘save’ once word count goal is hit rather than depending on time. Ex. Keep typing until you hit 500 word count, or all of your words will get eaten! A star is dropped simply because of incapability to adjust the font size for us blind as bats folk. Otherwise, definitely recommend to any aspiring author!

Amazing!!. This is beautiful! I’ve been struggling with writers block forever now! You see some people complain about how this app is annoying and it shouldn’t force people to write and put them under pressure. That’s not entirely true, while I see what they mean and how it can cause stress (I have anxiety but I felt sorta of fine), I entirely disagree! You need an app that forces you to write or you lose progress if you struggle with writers block! It gets your juices flowing. This is going to sound really really weird but like people who struggle with writers blocks, we’re like sinks. Our water (ideas for books and how to start them, etc) has stopped flowing and we need someone to turn the handle to get our water (ideas, again) flowing. In this case it isn’t someone, it’s this app. I can’t speak for everyone but I highly suggest this app!!!! Man I sound weird.

Amazing app very helpful. This app is wonderful and I believe it has great potential to be an educational tool for young writers like myself my only complaint is that I wish you included a few more options for tipping because I want to be able to support you more😅 keep up the good work

I truly don't get it. I have tried this 3 times, and in all three cases, it tells me I 'failed' and destroys my work. This is apparently because I took 3 seconds to wipe sand from my eyes? I had no idea that there was even a risk of having my writing destroyed. I just can't imagine anybody being 'helped' by the threat of destroying what is being created. It's normal to pause for a few seconds while writing. It's part of writing well. I am a huge fan of their "list of things to do" app, which is hilarious and fun, but I can't see this writing app as anything other than a self-crashing bicycle. One that is oddly proud of itself, no less!

i love this app.. i have been on Danger Notes for a while now. i honestly think this game is a fun way to be creative and set goals for yourself. it’s fun to just let your creativity flow, but also be timed. it’s a really cool and unique app that i think every young and experienced writer should use! your mind will sharpen and your imagination will grow, along with your writing skills. i also love how this app is detective. it will know if you are wasting your time just sitting there, doing your own thing without actually typing for a few minutes. this app is fun to practice or just take notes in general. as an author, i believe this helps me with my writing because i am creatively typing quickly and efficiently. i would definitely recommend this to anyone. thank you so much!

So good for a quick creativity boost. I usually use DangerNotes whenever I have a chapter due, or when I need to think of a quick plot. I often pass the five minute time and write for twenty minutes instead, writing for 15 minutes even after I’m no longer in danger of losing all my work. I love it. It’s great for my creativity. It’s also great for ranting, writing about things that bother me and I always feel better after.

Wow!. Though I am new to DangerNotes, I love it! I am a young aspiring writer and let's be honest, I get Writer’s Block commonly and I am an overall slow writer. If I have a good idea I can write at a swift pace, but I'll usually find myself writing slowly and inefficiently. To conclude, DangerNotes is great and I've grown better at writing with speed! 10/10.

I can’t save the notes. I like the idea, it’s very encouraging to write but why I can’t find the notes saved when I finish my 5 minutes challenge.. sometimes I finish and right even more than the limit, then I get get a call or something interrupts me and when I’m back it’s GONE!!!! And I never can remember how it was to do it again.. PLEASE FIX THIS 🥺!! thank youuuu 💕

Great idea, no way to avoid ads. I love this app so much I donated right after using it for the first time. I believe app developers should be rewarded for their efforts. However, I’m sad to find that there doesn’t seem to be a way to get rid of the ads even after making a donation. Also, this app is pretty bare bones. I wish it could be formatted better on the iPad. Extra margins in the writing view and past notes in a side drawer. Maybe a way to share the note besides manual copy/paste?

My First Danger Note. What do I want to write about? Hard to say. I haven’t done this very many times and this is my first time using danger notes. It could’ve cool. I do really like the way that writing allows your thoughts to flow and let’s you get out an emotion or a feeling into words, often in a way you can’t achieve whilst conversing with someone else. Though that is a key aspect the evolution of knowledge, human knowledge has grown far beyond what any one of us can converse about in any single interaction with another person. Jesus! Danger notes is trying to kill me! It’s getting Daaaaaangerous, I think you need to slow down. How much longer do I have to write for? This is maybe 3 minutes in. It’s killing me. I’m dying. This. Is. Dangerous. I’m afraid I’m going to lose my work at any second and I’m hanging on the edge of a cliff with my fingers dangling. Now that I’m here, it’s gets a bit peaceful. We continue to write as if there is no timer because we are doing just that to express our thoughts, writing. This makes the act of writing become and escape from the timer and let’s you actually get content onto the page. And now that I’m here, the timer has done, the danger is gone, and I’m free to continue or stop at any time to my pleasing. It’s a feeling of bliss that comes over the writer as if an accomplishment has been achieved or the writer has achieved enlightenment. Enlightenment, lost once you stop writing. The End.

This app is one of my favorites.. I struggle with writers block like every other author out there. This app makes it so I’m put under pressure to just put the words in the page. I’ve written entire chapters in under an hour because of this app. I love that it has barely any adds and if you don’t want to pay, you don’t have to. It’s not forced on you to pay either. Not buggy or glitchy at all. Five stars!

Amazing. I was skeptical at first, but I actually love this app. Been using it for awhile and it really helps my “writers block”. I’ve always come to this app when I have no clue what to write and I love that you can adjust the time you want to write for. I always try to write for at least five minutes a day, and this helps me get it done. I’m always so motivated to see the bright green screen when I’m done writing, and it really helps me get my ideas out. Such a brilliant cute little game!

It’s great but….. I like this app for first drafts because it gets stuff out on paper without overthinking it too much. But I would like a pause button cause sometimes I get interrupted and I lose several paragraphs of work. I can’t really use it unless I know I have a couple of minutes but other than that it’s really good!

How to copy words?. Hi, I’m writing this review to ask a question. I think the app is wonderful, and works as intended, but the reason I’m leaving four stars instead of five is that when I went back to previous things o had written, o was not able to highlight the words in order to copy them, or able to export my writing in any way. Instead, I had to manually type out my writing on my laptop, reading the work on my phone, which was a downside to the experience. So, I guess I’m leaving this review to ask for help, is there any way to copy the words in a previous document or export one’s writing in any way? It would be appreciated, thanks!

Amazing!. I was skeptical at first, but after a week of using it, it has helped so much. I put on some music before hand, listen to 2 or 3 songs, it sets a mood I’m aiming for, and I hop in to writing. You don’t have time to think of “the perfect word” or phrase, or get distracted with looking information up. You get the most raw idea out and down and that’s the most important step. You can edit and revise later. I’ve gotten more writing done this past week than the entire past year. You have maybe 3 seconds you can stop, if you absolutely need another few, then just keep hitting space. But don’t rely on that as it defeats the purpose.

Gets rid of writers block. I was struggling so much to come up with simply and detailed writings. But this definitely got me going, as I set mine for 30 minutes the first time I used it, and it worked wonders. I was able to get going and just kept going. So definitely a 10/10 !! But seriously be careful if your serious about your work !!! I love the thrill, so this was wonderful.

Great app for tired writers!. Perfect app for inciting just enough fear and absolute freak out to get your fingers typing even when you’re not feeling “inspired.” Really kinda fun to use and the time challenge gives you an easy way to see the numbers rack up instead of just disappearing in a large word count. Definitely stress inducing but in a good, competitive way. Way recommend!!!!

Works well, motivates you to write. I have not encountered any problems with this app so far. It is pretty basic, with a place to store notes and a place to write them. If you don’t write for a few seconds then a red bar shows up on the top of the screen (I have yet to lose any work, it is quite motivating :)) For those of you worried about losing work, you can also just type random letters/ words. The important thing is it gets your creative juices flowing. It defeats writers block because it takes out the procrastination. Even if you think you don’t have any ideas, you suddenly do as soon as you start typing. I also like that it displays your word count while you are typing. This app had very few ads (although it does ask for a “tip” at some points to help cover the cost of making the app, so they won’t have to overrun the app with advertisements. This is just a suggestion, but in the future I would like to be able to change minutes to word count. For example, instead of writing for five minutes, you could switch the settings to 300 words or something like that. I think that would make it easier for people writing, say, an essay that had to be 500 words or something like that. Again, this has nothing to do with the value of the product, I just think it would be a good idea to add to further versions of this app. It is a great app and I would recommend buying it.

Feature request. Love this app! Really helps me with my struggle of not knowing what to write. It would be awesome if there was a setting that sends you a daily notification to remind you to write today. That way you could build up the habit of writing every day!

This is a wonderful app!. I decided to write a horror/superhero genre hybrid novel and try to get it published since, those are currently my favorite genres at age 22 turning 23 in March so, I figured I’d write a genre hybrid novel between my two favorite genres as I’ve never really seen it done in novel form albeit I haven’t read a ton of novels. I’ve seen it done in film with M.Night Shymalan’s Unbreakable trilogy but, never in novel format so, I figure why not see if I can get one made and published to make some extra money as I’m currently quite broke lol.

Amazing app. I absolutely LOVE this app. It’s absolutely amazing! The low amount of adds it awesome! It’s really gets me racing to type words! At the beginning when you first start to type, you think that the time is going by really slow. But if you actually focus on typing and not worry about the time, the amount of time will go by really fast. I personally use 2-3 minutes maybe even 4 or 5, but it just depends on the person. I use that amount because I don’t want to loose like 10 minutes of writing when I just have a brain fart. And there’s the time. Wow. I stoped worrying about the time and focused more on typing and the time went by really fast. I think it’s a really good app and it really gets you typing to make sure you don’t loose you work. I just got it, but I actually started writing a bit more now. It’s just an amazing app. I love it.

Great App!. I love this app and it motivates me to write a little bit every night so during the day I can really grind and finish the stories I have in mind. The only concerns I have is - Reminder to save work when you go back to it - Adding a sign in feature so I can continue my progress on other devices! This would also be a great website or app on the computer but it’s great over all!!

Very Nice. For what it is, it’s great! I was pretty intimidated by it at first. When I tried it out I was able to write for 5 minutes straight, just pouring out my ideas. This is a great motivator and is good for writers trying to write down ideas for stories, scripts, etc. I’ve heard thinking too much about your ideas while writing can be bad, so this can prevent that. The design is nice and changing the time you have to write for is easy. Overall, it’s great! I’ll be using it myself to try writing/typing everyday or two.

AMAZING MOTIVATOR. Don’t remember if I already left a review but, IT’S AMAZING. I downloaded this while I was struggling to start writing due to a lack of ideas and this definitely helped; the stake of losing everything you wrote is very much motivating. If anyone's looking for some motivation to practice writing a bit, I’d absolutely recommend this app. 👍

Adrenaline Junkie Satisfaction. Well hot dang. I’ve spent the last semester wasting hours each week with writer’s block on one stubborn repeating assignment that I struggle to wrap my head around. Like, literally *hours* each week (maybe 8?). In any case I’ve been suffering. As a perfectionist, I was shocked to see my initial note disappear before my eyes as I paused to go back and correct a typo. Oops. Not accustomed to failure, I tried again and on the second attempt had enough workable material from free flow thought to finish this week’s paper. Altogether I spent less than seven minutes in the app to get unstuck. Those seven minutes just saved me the next seven hours this week and many more for the next several weeks. As an adrenaline junkie, this met the threshold of registration for me. I can see this turning into a game with friends to see who can beat the clock with the best story. Thank you Danger Notes.

Love the concept; could use some work. I love the concept of this app. However, I was a little disappointed in reality. I feel like it’d be easier if the app offered options of writing prompts (fiction or nonfiction) and you tried to write a short story on that thing within the time. That feels like it’d sharpen my writing a lot more than just typing for five minutes without stopping. Again, I love the concept of the app. If prompts could be added, I’d definitely try to do it at least once a day. Unfortunately there aren’t prompts right now, so I’m hoping I’ll get a notification if you choose to update with those.

Great app!!. I love this app it is amazing!! I do have one question though. Once I do a session on a note I can’t do another on the same note. I was wondering if my phone is doing something or if it is just not part of the app. If so will you consider adding it? Overall I love the app and it helps me write when I have writers block.

INDEED A DANGEROUS NOTE. So, I give 2 stars instead of 1 because I still want to appreciate the unique and creative idea of wiring a note in 5 minutes NON STOP and be able to survive the ticking bomb. However, this is indeed a dangerous note. I just realized after I switched to iPhone 11 and now I’m used to swap everything closed because I hate apps working on background. I forget that one of the apps was the Danger Note. I was working on a story I have been writing for a few times. I swapped that app closed, not realizing it was the Danger Note. I opened the app again just to check if the changes I’ve made was automatically closed. In my horror, THE CHANGES I’VE MET WERE NOT AUTOMATICALLY SAVED. So, this is why it’s 2 stars. Comparing this app to Note app from Apple (I can only compare to other app that I use). Note app will ALWAYS automatically save whatever you put into the note. Even when you don’t save it and just close the app. But that app is VERY RELIABLE. Conclusion: I don’t feel save using this app because of what happened above. It’s a very horrible experience to lose your note especially when it’s ideas and stories you’ve put your words into it. Yes, the raw idea is still there in my mind, but when you rewrite them, it will be different than what you initially written.

A Danger that is awesome. Incidentally Im writing this review on Danger Notes...It is my second attempt writing. When I started writing the first time, I had to take care of something cooking in the oven...time elapsed and I failed :-( True to its name the app is very Dangerous :-) If you stop typing before 5 minutes a red bar will appear on the top of the screen...rather a red bar will start running on the top of the screen. Before the red bar hits the end of the screen, you should start typing again. If not you will be failed...I love this app. I like how it makes me nervous to type without a pause. When I don’t know what to type I type whatever is in my head, clearing my blocked head and writers block. Btw, I passed this time, because I typed for more than 5 minutes...Great app to clear writers block, or to clear your mind .

Exactly what I was looking for. EDIT: there are a lot of glitches since updating my phone to IOS 16. It’s still functional, but very annoying (words will overlap, screen will jerk downwards—it’s all messy). I wish I could’ve gotten away with not updating longer, but my old phone became a brick and the new phone had iOS 16 pre installed. RIP, app. Love this app and it works wonderfully. It’s similar to the website Fighter’s Block, which is basically what I was looking for in a writing app, except that the motivation to keep writing is stronger with this since you don’t want your work deleted. I also appreciate having a time goal rather than a word count goal, so that you can more easily commit to a writing session knowing how long it will take (and you can adjust the amount of time too, which I just learned recently!!!) Does not fix procrastination, though (hence me writing this review instead of using the app :P ) Only problem: word count is off. It counts contractions as two words, which is kind of annoying. But still a pretty great app, just an inaccurate estimator

Great idea but ....... It is a wonderful idea that truly helps with writer’s block, it truly helps get the juices flowing and you never know what my come out because I’ve had ideas that I felt wouldn’t work but after writing for 10 minutes I somehow made it work and it truly became one of my favorite parts in the chapter. My only suggestion is would it be possible to get a MacBook version of the app? As that is what I mainly use when writing. Otherwise such a terrific app. Thank you David

Love it. I truly love this app. I just downloaded it today and already it’s cured my two-day long writer’s block. Just writing and getting whatever ideas you have down without thinking is far more affective than some might believe. This is exactly the type of app I was looking for to help improve my writing!

Best app ever. This app made me feel so much stress relief and it made me determined to write, I have so much on my mind and I got it all out on paper but it doesn’t delete it instantly it asks you… “ undo typing?” Or “Cancel” but make sure when you are don’t you click save work or it will ask you. It was such an inspiration to me and when I am bored I can do it and it doesn’t need internet or Wi-Fi but if you turn you internet off you don’t have adds! Mind blown. But best app ever.

Only 1 request. I really like app but I have one request. Can you please save the note right after the minimum time. I recently wrote something I really like. But I’m new to the app so I thought the green meant it was already saved. Please have the developer look at this and not just a robot.

Gets me out of my writer's block. I usually get writer's block because I can't think of the perfect way to word something. This app forces me the stop caring about the wording and get the idea down. I can then go back and edit the wording later, but I now have a body of work to actually edit. The only thing I wish was different, is once you reach a time limit and the work saves, that you can go back and reset the timer when you continue in the same note, and if you failed the time check it would only delete what wasn't saved.

Fun challenge. This app is a great way to get yourself focused on just writing and not overthinking it. I love the way it's gamefied so that if you stop writing for too long you lose what you were writing. It really helps get the free flow stream of thought going especially for creative writing or just getting your thoughts out. Once you get in the habit of just 5 minutes a day you'll look back and not believe how much writing you were really capable of doing!

Promising app. I got Danger Notes a little while ago, and the app is very cool, and is exactly what was promised in the description. There is a grey bar that shows progress in your set time, and when you stop typing, a red bar goes across the screen to show how long before everything you wrote would be deleted. As soon as you finish the time, you can save. Although it is promising, I think it would be beneficial if there was either a website or software that could be downloaded onto a laptop, as I feel that is where most people do their writing. (At least that’s where I write for the most part) Another thing that could be done is to put a “pause” button of sorts for if the user can’t continue typing and needs to immediately stop. That way, they don’t lose what they had written as a result of stopping. And then after, they could “unpause” and continue from where they left off in their timer. Otherwise, I love the app so far and can’t wait to see any updates that get written in the future.

I NEED A MAC VERSION OF THIS. This is a fantastic app, I’m a professional procrastinator and this is getting me to work like nothing ever did. However, I am writing this on an ipad and I will pay a s—t ton of money if I can have this on my mac (also preferably a windows version or a website version for my friends who don’t use apple computers). I’d like to be able to adjust the grace period but im not fussy about it, it’s doing its job as it is. My biggest problem is I need this on my mac. Please, please make a mac version of this (or a website version, anything that can make it work on my laptop).

Could use some tweaks to be more effective. I'm a big fan of these ultimatum, use-it-or-lose it productivity tools, because as someone with ADHD I tend not to work well except under threat of catastrophe, and dangernotes has helped me a lot when writing a paper. I think it would be even more helpful if some of the "lifelines" were removed, like being able to select-all > copy at any time to prevent from losing your work, or maybe even not counting backspace as a key input so you can't press delete to stall the timer.

An English Teacher’s best friend. I did not expect to have Danger Notes shock me into writing a short story upon the first time I opened the app… 11/10, would recommend to high school English teachers everywhere 😂

It’s great, but has some weird formatting issues. I’ve only had the app since yesterday and I’ve already used it three times today. It’s a great way to keep my mind engaged and build a writing practice. However, sometimes the text looks like it disappears even though I’m well within the time limit, only to reappear in full when I go to the next line. The text also seems to layer on itself the closer I get to 5 minutes, like I’m writing words on top of existing words. Fix these bugbears and this app is a winner.

As effective, as your ability to uphold its aim. Very good for getting allowing to actively write rather than passively thinking about your sentences.

Its coo. Nothing I wouldn’t write about and more neat and well written it’s not like this actually benefits me but if it benefits you tell me how so I can turn this into some kind of tool cuz I see potential but don’t know what it is… It’s messy and sloppy thoughts I always think about I do better and faster if I take my time well not true cuz I just wrote 556 words in 5 minutes

Its great. This app is great, I was skeptical at first but once I started using it, it turned out to do wonders. Its funny how the timer and fear of loosing all your progress helps you come up with great ideas. I recommend this app for all writers

Woah...I am lovin’ it. Never imagined how the app is going to be... until I tried it. The app magically pushed me through every writer’s block! Useful. Would recommend to try this app out.

It’s good. I really like this app but I wish I had IOS 13 so I could get the updates you know but overall it’s really good and since I’m on a mobile device my iPad I can use the voice to text thing which really did help me express my ideas and I can really talk so fast and it just write down everything. The only thing I have is because sometimes I have this great idea and I just have a little time to think about an idea that I’m trying to write down so my story doesn’t sound weird or anything or whatever then it deletes because I was not quick enough but that was not a bad thing it is a bit annoying but overall I really like this app.

OMG This App Actually Helped Me. OMG this app is the best because it actually helped me to fight writer’s block. I recommend to any writers out there who just can’t fight back writer’s block. BTW for anyone who doesn’t know what writer’s block is, it’s when a writer of a book, screenplay, etc. is at a huge lack of ideas. Sorry I feel like people are going to think I’m being a smarty pants that’s not what I’m trying to be LOL XD XP.!!!

Awesome. So amazing! I love writing so much and writers block is actually going to be the death of me, but this app makes me so motivated.

Great!. Great app, I totally recommend. Hardly any adds and the timer is completely ajustable. The one thing that bothers me a bit is that, you can’t set another timer for an old note, dispite being able to go back and edit it.

Fantastic. Something I do that’s helps me out(I’m a writer) I would write my stories in my notes usually but if I would ever get stuck or not know how to start or continue I would use this app and it helps me become used to non stop writing. I also recommend donating something bc it’s a really amazing app and maybe we could help make it grow :)

THIS IS AWESOME. I love this app. Anyone reading this should try it. You can edit and go back to writing you’ve finished. It is amazingly helpful for writer’s block, and to just get you’re ideas out. TRY THIS APP!!!!!!

Cannot remove ads afterpaying. First app I've seen where premium does not remove ads. Super annoying that we have to sit through an ad each time we use it...

if i could give it 6 stars i would. 10/10 it does everything it promises and isn't littered with ads i can't recommend this more to someone with creative block

Single issue impacting writing. When you max out a pages space, paragraphs will overlap anytime you try to type, only once your keyboard is gone will it return to normal. Besides this the app does as needed while looking quite nice.

Really?. What a stupid concept. I believe writing requires a clear head and a stress free environment. So having to write NON STOP for a period of time and having all of your work deleted and “fail” if you stop to think for half a millisecond is just ridiculous. All in all? It’s not a good writing tool in anyway, shape, or form.

i feel revatilized by this app and the idea behind it.. And that so often seems the case when i use it.

It’s good... ish. it might seem annoying at times, but at the end of the day, you get stuff done. The thing that I don’t like, is that you can’t set a timer on a note a second time, but other than that it’s great.

No way to remove ads. Great simple interface that's genuinely helpful, but uninstalled because no way to pay to remove advertisements. Makes it a bit disruptive moving from note to note, and detracts from the UI experience. Would also be great to support the developer.

Really good!. Ii use it to begin paragraphs and kick off my writing spree! Only thing I would change is it needs a better darkmode

Could be better…. This game is awesome and all, because I want to be a writer when I grow up, and this is good practice. Except, they should add some tools like bold, italics, changing color of words, and changing the size of words. Please add these things. Thanks!

Stupid App. I’m a writer and holding a gun at my head probably inspires me to not write better or more: it’s just causes anxiety. I really appreciated the pop up ad in the middle of my writing (train of thought GONE) and then the app delegating my work when I dumped the pop up. Really Classy

Simple concept, Effective. I download this app to sharpen my writing skills and help establish a writing routine. So far the app has done a great job motivating me to keep up my game. Thank you so much.

Karate Chops my Stubborn Nature. This app karate chops my unwillingness to write by making a game out of it. I’m not worried about grammar, spelling or anything else. I just need to get these words out of my brain and into this notes. This app works especially great if you have a daily word count goal that you need to hit.

Love the idea. But I wish it would auto-save my notes. Sometimes I get distracted and forget to hit save, which means what I wrote disappears when I get back to the app. :(

Nice idea. It’s a nice idea, a good way to spur writing in bursts and keeping with ideas. The thing I would add would be a way to continue writing the current note with another five minute burst, like a “begin from here” option that would save the past writing but time and risk anything after it.

Amazing. So simple. It is so helpful for getting over writers block. If you can’t do 5 minutes then do 2 minutes. Whatever you are going for this app is great.

a HUGE help. I suffer for major writer’s block and this app has upped my word count tremendously! Helps get you out of the mindset of every word having to be perfect!! Highly recommend!!

I loved this app—but where are the rest of my saved notes????. I recommended this to all of my friends. However, in scrolling to the past notes icon, the only ones listed are 1/3 out of what I’ve actually written and saved (well past the five minute danger zone). Where are my notes??!! I had some good stuff in there!!! Why are they missing? If I don’t get an answer soon, then bye bye danger notes. You were a great idea but this is an unacceptable outcome. If and when you fix it, and I get my saved notes back, I’ll gladly buy you a coffee. But until then—you are not to be trusted.

Just one suggestion. I really like this app, but it would be cool if it had something like a “prompt bank” where if you want to write but have nothing to write about you can just find something in there.

Great for Poetry and whatever else. I just downloaded this app a few minutes ago, started typing, and by the time the 2 minute session was done I’d written a poem that I really really love. It helps you ignore your inner critic for a bit and just write. 4 stars because nothing is perfect. Great, simple app.

100% recommend to writers of any level. This app is both infuriating and incredibly helpful. It really boots my creativity and the fear of losing my progress makes me really productive lol. It helped me get through weeks long writer block.

I love writing when I have free time ... I’ve tried plenty of writing apps , I’m not a novelist . So this app works great actually.. it pushes you to keep thinking ahead of your thoughts ...

One of the best writing apps I’ve ever used. I’ve always had a huge problem with writer’s block, and this app really helped out a lot! Here’s my pros and cons: Pros: - You have the ability to adjust the time you want to write for - No ads! - You have the ability to save your work if you don’t stop typing and you can edit your already saved notes Cons: - Literally none Overall: 10/10, couldn’t recommend enough!

Great app but I paid for no ads and still get them.. This is a must have app. I start out with the forced 5 minutes and the next thing I know I have been writing for an hour. I will rate at 5 stars if my issue with ads is resolved.

I LOVE THIS!. I LOVE THIS! It forces you to write, and it’s a great way to flush ideas to get to the good stuff! That redline is terrifying when it starts running across the bottom of your phone.

First times the charm. So, I just got this app. And when I scrolled through the App Store and saw it, I was like "yes!" Because I can never come up with ideas. I really think this helps a lot of people. Especially me:)

Password Protect Please!. I love this app. I love the simplicity of it and will therefore keep this review simple. My one request is to add the ability to password protect my writing.

Cool app!. I love the idea behind the app! It really helps me to write at least anything down. Although I think it would be cooler if the notes on the iPhone app and the iPad app were interchangeable.

Causes Anxiety. I have anxiety and bad writers block and, I work so hard on my work and I got really upset when my work was destroyed. I wish it gave you a warning, it gives me more writers block because I’m constantly anxious that my work is gonna get deleted that its all I can focus on making it get ruined. I truly don’t know how this can cause anything expect anxiety, and how it could help your writers block.

Super fun!. Motivates you to keep writing! I’ve had trouble in the past when I pause in writing I start to get down on myself causing me to leave my work unfinished. This helps me keep moving and be inspired! Great way to pass time

5 star IF no adds.. I wish there was an option to just outright purchase this app and do away with the adds. 5 stars all day long if it wasn’t for the adds.

Ahhh. I love it, but I have auto correct and I was trying to do the thing where you select all of the text and it wouldn’t let me. It also kept folding in on itself. And it made me loose all of my work because it was bugging out :(

Writing. I have always had writers block but as soon as the timer started I failed once, but then I tried again and was just flying with what I was writing.

This is fun. It feels intense but it keeps your mind and hands connected.

Fast Paced, No Time To Pause. Recommended for the fact that it forces the writer to put all their ideas (ugly, unpolished, rampant) on paper.

No Syncing. Cool idea as I’m a fan of the Flowstate app. Unfortunately, Danger Notes does not sync between devices. I might write on my phone then use my iPad to refine and edit the piece. If syncing is important to you, check out Flowstate.

Why ads?. Love this but wish there was a way to turn off ads. Nothing more distracting than a banner ad while you’re writing. Incredible idea though. Can’t wait until someone takes this idea and makes a better app / better user experience.

AHHHHHH. The sense of panic you get while writing is highly motivating. At least for me it is. Good way to jumpstart your brain if you’re struggling, or if you’re wanting to write in a stream of consciousness type of way. Def recommend.
