Accurate and easy to use. Tide Guide is helpful when planning a trip or to use when the impromptu outing comes up.
Amazing App and Widgets. I use this app everyday for checking the tide before heading out for surf sessions. Solunar feature is fantastic for quickly referencing moon phases and knowing sunrise and sunset. Totally awesome and I recommend every chance I get.
Hides time. The only initial issue that I would pass along is that, so far, this is the only app using my dynamic Island that hides the time on my Home Screen when in neutral position. Battery and WiFi signal stay on the right. Using 14 PM, so size isn’t the issue. There is a lot of redundant black area in the middle during this. Even when 2 apps are sharing the space (navigation and music for example). The time display is unaffected.
great look. 4May21 - the Red dot on the iphone display seems stuck at midpoint, does not reflect reality. Developer email link does not work. Server was out for 3 days ? I love the look of this app, beautiful displays. Widgets are lovely. My only request, and this is Apple’s issue, is for the date or DAY of week to be displayed on the widgets. The ios14 widgets continually display stale (often days old) info. I don’t know why Apple doesn’t fix this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If I could at least see the DAY of week (e.g. Tue) in the widget, I would know the displayed data was accurate, without having to open the app just to see if the widget was correct
Deleted and cancelled subscription. Does not work on Apple Watch
ICW. A must have, definitely keeps me and the boat safe…
Simply beautiful. I travel up and down the coast a lot and although I don’t fish, or do many water sports I thoroughly enjoy the design and data this app eloquently shows off.
Good stuff. Loving the iOS 14 widgets!
Great but watch complications are buggy. This app is fantastic on iphone. Covers everything I thought I needed and more, while being beautiful and accurate. The only issue is the watch version of the app, which I use a lot for ocean swimming. The complications often completely disappear from my watch faces for up to a minute at a time before loading back in. This happens especially frequently when I use low power mode/turn off always on display, or when the watch is disconnected from data. If you could get these bugs worked out, it would be perfect. 🙏
Tide App I’ve Been Looking For. This is the tide app I’ve wanted for years!! Clean and modern UI/UX, excellent watch complications, plus a great blend of simplicity and customization. Perhaps most importantly for me, when sailing, is this app also tracks Nautical Dusk (plus the other stages of daylight) and the lunar phases! Because I’m particular with my watch complications and the details they show, I had three different apps. Now I just have this one and get more than I had thanks to the solar/lunar graphs. Perhaps the final reason to use this app is the frequent updates, new features, and feedback responses from the developer. Anyone who needs to know tide, daylight, or lunar information for maritime recreation will love this app.
Needed improvements / great app. Love the app. Hopefully the integration with Apple Watch is less glitchy with new update. Would love to see wave weights added for off shore use. That’s the only thing missing from competitors.
Great app, great developer. This app has the right mix of functionality, polish, and simplicity. The developer deserves major points for being responsive to feedback, as they very quickly added a feature to allow the selection of preferred tide datum after I suggested that it would be useful. I suspect this may be what some of the negative reviews regarding incorrect data were talking about. I have found that this app matches NOAA data very closely when you use the same tide datum in both places. Well worth the purchase price!
Crashes with every button you push. No idea how this has a 4.9. This app is super basic and crashes constantly. Don't waste your money
Truly the best of the tide apps.. Look no further, this is the tide app you've been looking for. Great design, wonderful iOS and iPad OS widgets, Apple Watch complications, and frequent updates. Very customizable, and incredibly intuitive. Truly best in class.
Sailor E. Great app works around the world.
5 Stars. Beautiful app with very accurate data. 5 stars!!!
45 minutes and still loading!. Worked very well until recently, now just keeps loading. Have tides changed that much in the past 2 weeks?
I love this app, but…. It always says that the swell is 2.3’ and it never changes. I really would like this reading to be accurate.
Great interface. Handy and quick.. Great interface. Handy and quick.
Very Accurate. Use this app for the Duwamish River by Seattle. Tides need to be +6 or we don’t have enough draft to clear our slip.
Tidal height estimates completely off. The app is predicting a -4.0 tide on Jan 9th in the SF Bay but all other tide charts are showing a -0.5 low tide. This is especially dangerous when inaccuracies dealing with high tides can cause individuals to make plans assuming the data is accurate.
My tide chart. It works beautifully and it’s 100% accurate.
Lack of Support. Upon initiating App, no answer from App manufacturers. No way to cancel App on settings. Be ware.
Latest update broke widget. I like this app. It has good design overall but I got it bc of the quick glance widget for tides. I also appreciate that they are updating it but the updates need more QA bc they keep breaking functionality. This latest update did it again and the widget it blank for me.
We Surf. Our family surfs and we need something that has all beaches near San Clemente. This only has San Clemente and than jumps to San Diego or north balboa skipping some of the best surf beaches here in south Orange County. (Not naming those beaches for locals reasons)
Best Tide App by a Broad Margin. Tried them all, this is the best. Fixed locations or GPS auto-location (invaluable to me), cleanest and most thoughtful data presentation, Lock Screen widgets, live activities, and watch support. No privacy issues. Like the addition of coastal conditions - would like to see improved display options there. I work on the coast and rely on this daily.
Tide Guide. Tide guide has been very helpful for me to plan out my serviceout my service
Missed the small skip button. It’s a nice tide app. After a week it pops up a screen to get you to subscribe. This was surprising to me at first as I thought the base features were free (they are). There is a hard to see skip button I missed.
Slow compared to Tidetrack. OK, but takes forever to load up. The graphics aren’t as good either.
iPad App Amazing too!. Recently had an opportunity to start using the pro version of the app on iPad. It works beautifully! I highly recommend the paid version although there is plenty of usefulness in the free version as well. I mainly use the app on my iPhone but I’m excited to start using it on my iPad as well. I was having trouble figuring out one part of an app and reached out to the team who walked me through the process. Responsive and thoughtful developers really make a big difference. I’m excited to continue supporting this developer.
Awesome. It’s great. I can capture all the information I want at a quick glance.
Beautiful. I work on a beach and use this app everyday. Beautiful design and worth the extra dollar for straightforward and simple information. Must have!
Disappearing widgets. The widget suddenly disappeared from the list
The watch complication is excellent!. I just added the complication to my watch and I think it will be very useful when kayaking. Thank you for developing this app and the complication.
Ridiculously slow. What a terrible first impression. First launch of the app gave me a black screen - I gave it thirty seconds or so, then quit the app assuming it had crashed. Second launch was black for about ten seconds. Attempting to pick a tide station bought up a text search box, but no keyboard, and locked up the app until I force-quit. Second try the same. Third try I left it on that screen for over a minute and it finally popped up a keyboard, but told me no search results for the local locations until I left it for another minute or two to update. Loaded the complication onto my Apple Watch Ultra and… it was black for over three minutes. Once it finally updated I found that it hadn’t carried over my tide station from my phone. Tried to search and add the correct station and again the search field on the watch locked up. Deleted, canceled my free trial. Wasted 30 minutes of my life on an app that clearly has major speed/connectivity issues.
Not working again. Will not load. This used to work like a charm, but now it will not load.
Tide guide. I really appreciate and use the info tide guide provides!
Nice useful app. Very helpful information
Love It!. Great features and the Apple Watch complication is invaluable. Easily 5 stars.
Buggy. Very buggy, almost unusable. Can’t add other stations, whole app freezes when I try.
Most beautiful app I’ve ever seen. Almost all the tide chart apps are full of crappy ads and bad UI. Tide guide wouldn’t need to be anywhere close to this pretty and functional in order for it to be the best. I wish more little utility apps like this got a similar treatment.
Tide Guide. Brilliant!
Great widgets!. Super helpful and well designed! Can’t recommend enough. The widgets alone are definitely worth the price of a subscription.
#1. The best
So far it’s great. New user of this application. So far this version is working great. Simple. I just want to keep track of the tide and I can.
Beautiful App. Even on the first launch of Tide Guide, it’s obvious that the developer truly cares about making a pixel-perfect app with fantastic functionality. If you need this sort of info, don’t bother looking anywhere else — this is hands-down the best tide app, and honestly is right up there with the best apps on iOS of any kind. Also, and this is no small thing, the developer is extremely responsive and open to feature suggestions. It’s a pleasure to support people like this.
Seymour. Awesome app, I recommend it
Excellent. Worth supporting. Does as advertised and more in a visually appealing and easy to use interface.
Just plain wrong. Just purchased and compared to one for Tides already using; its measurements are simply incorrect. And actually going to the beach it is soo wrong. I use it almost daily to determine where to walk. Bought it because I’m tired of ads on the app I have been using. In conclusion this app has been quite useless to me. Perhaps someone can tell me what has gone wrong?
What happened to the Icons?. I’ve loved this app for its simple clean beauty for over a year. Suddenly the icons have changed to a photo style with less information. Additionally the setting page to change icons doesn’t reflect the actual icon image. Bring back the old icons!

Global?. Does not work on Australian tides.
No good for Aust. No Aussie info
stopped working. was working and a great app but now it wont fetch any tide info

El mar 💖. Para apasionados y profesionales
Not compatible for Canada. Great app but useful only in the US. This is not compatible for the station in Canada.
Waste of money. Useless app, very limited and impractical could be for free of charge.
Meh. Inaccurate data
No Canadian Tide Stations. I like the interface, but when I got the app I expected to be able to search up Canadian tide stations too. This app only contains American tide stations, which doesn’t make sense as to why it’s on the Canadian App Store. If this is something that could be added, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
Awesome. I love the widgets on my Home Screen! Use it all the time. Super helpful and responsive Developer!
Useless. Don’t bother. Poorly designed, bad search function. No menu.
Happy to pay about $40 but…. but the new prices are about 80% more than feels worth it. Things are worth what people are willing to pay. Guess you’ll see how your new pricing goes
Tide Guide. A superb app that interfaces beautifully with the iPhone Dynamic Island . Accurate, representative of location and extremely easy to use .
Beautiful but slow. Beautiful interface, but the data loads to Apple Watch so slowly, that it simply doesn’t supply information at a glance.
To the Naysayers. Several people have come down hard on this app but I think the visual approach is handy, particularly in the field. In preparation for kayaking trips I used to output tide data from an old DOS program, load the data into Excel and output sine charts, print then laminate. From that you could check the tides at a glance when paddling and navigating. This app works even better as you always know your current position, timewise, in relation to the highs and lows. Moreover you can see the relative peaks and troughs instantly, meaning you always know whether faced with an extreme high or low or a moderate one. It makes a huge difference in narrow waterways. At a glance is important, you can’t be making calculations in a roaring riptide. Since you asked however, there are a few improvements that could be made. In landscape view you could provide a longer range view: 24 to 36 hours perhaps. Also we should be able to scroll several days, weeks even, ahead. Or be able to enter a date and scroll around that to see how things are going to be when trip planning. That would be useful. Not sure if I really want to lash my iPad to the deck for on the spot checking. Would have to look into waterproof cases.
I’m impressed!. This app has shown considerable improvement over the last few months. I did use it without paying for a long time, and liked how my watch could give me information that I depended on. Every day I swim in the North Atlantic. Eventually, I became convinced that I wanted it forever, so chose the Lifetime Plan. Steve D. Madeira Island.
No Canadian charts. Not sure why this app is on the Canadian app store with no heads up that there are 0 Canadian tide charts… completely useless to me and a waste of money. Would highly recommend adding a warning so no one else makes the mistake i did.
Simple and functional. I think it’s perfect for when you are making a trip to the beach and want to know where the tide is.
Excellent UX, unreasonably pricy.. The best user interface design of all the tide apps in the store, along with support for Canadian stations now (thanks Developer :). Sadly all this is moot due to the exorbitant one-time pricing. A tide chart app shouldn’t cost as much as the entire Affinity Creative Suite.
Wow. All I’ve ever wanted was a quick way to check the tide to plan my stuff out and the widget for this app is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. thank you
Prohibitively expensive. Looks like an awesome app but far far too expensive to be worth upgrading for a couple extra features.
139.99 CAD for lifetime is steep! 🤯. There’s a more reasonable priced lifetime option of 69.99 CAD listed under “In-App Purchase” on the Apple Store, but it’s not offered in the app. Great app just completely over valued.

Broken search function. Wanted to add a couple stations in FL, but search is completely broken by name, can’t use zip code ... and it located me once, ending up with 4 stations in maine. Please fix search and show a map so we can zoom around for stations, etc.
Amazing graphics. Easy to use!
Disappointing. The displays are fine but can not find a location compatible with my needs. Can you add Steele Harbor, Maine! This would render the app useful.
Look someplace else. On iphoneX... crashes on any attempt to go to the calendar view. The graphic view doesn’t sync and the next tide cycle is misreported. This is a pass - find something else!
works great & much improved recently. complications still not showing up as an option on watchOS. EDIT 5.10.22 still works great mostly, which has been improved quite a bit recently. The new watchOS 'complications' don't seem to be working. i have 3rd gen watch. but everything else seems to be. trying to add the complication on watch os, there is no option showing up after installing the app, upgrading watch os, and nothing shows up for complication option. Also I do appreciate the fact that in switching to a subscription model you have auto included those of us that have stuck around from the beginning. that's much appreciated. reliability seems better. hopefully keeps getting better and i will update review accordingly. i'll update review if/when improvements are made.
Clever!. A very useful app. The visual representation of the tides rise and fall requires no calculation or thought. I use it all the time.
