DO NOT BUY GOLD. First I love time management games and especially the Diner Dash series. They are addictive and it’s how I unwind. So Diner Dash has a new game - I am on board to play. I go in and start playing. It gets to the point I want to purchase gold and coins so I can advance my goals. Now I regularly will spend money playing games. The PROBLEM with this game is that the game would accept my payment but I never got the gold bundle. I re-tried the transaction - it charged me a second time and again I did not get the gold bundle. I contacted CUSTOMER CARE and they requested screen shots of my receipt and bank record. My bank shot had it showing as pending (but money is out of my actual bank account balance TWICE now). It’s clearly Diner Dash Gold Bundle - clearly two transactions right on top of each other. Screenshot of my game clearly shows no gold - no gold spent. They respond since it’s pending they can’t help and that they do not actually handle the purchases and they really can’t help me. Well as you start playing - and really want to get into it you need extra gold and coins to advance to the next level. Now I’m nervous to play and use the in-app purchase for gold and I and ANGRY that they took the money twice and I got robbed twice of nice gold bundle packages!!! BE CAREFUL!!!!!!

Good game but.... This is a great game. I’m literally addicted and I have spent well over $40 so far which I don’t normally do, but I don’t regret it. However, I just had an issue tonight where I had 15 gems left...( I had just got 3 for free in a delay deal and earned 1 in the daily reward) and all of a sudden, I look back at the app and I had 0 gems. I know that I didn’t spend them on anything because I didn’t need to to pass the next level and I was saving them for a specific upgrade. I closed the app and opened it back, hoping that the issue would be resolved, but it isn’t. Now I’m ready to just delete the app if these are the kind of glitches that happen. I already had an issue where I completed an offer and was supposed to receive like 12 gems that I never got. And I put a lot of my personal information on that offer. I’m starting to get upset with this game. Someone needs to take care of these issues or this game will fail as many others do. Other than that... great game.

Torn. I was torn on my rating. I LOVE playing this game but find it infuriating I either have to spend money or wait 600 years to earn gems. If you have to buy all upgrades in order to beat the levels the gems should be easier to earn. I love that you give free ones everyday, but it’s not enough. I also dislike that it “costs supplies” to play levels. I’m not interested in playing 5 levels and then waiting for my supplies to regenerate unless I want to spend money on gems to refill right away, and I’m not interested in waiting for free gems to regenerate in order to buy more upgrades. I’m not saying gems should be unlimited but there should be more opportunities to earn them daily and a “supply limit” is just frustrating. I am a binge player and I miss the unlimited play of old diner dash. I started playing this because I’m a huge fan of the original diner dash, flow on the go, hotel dash and wedding dash and this is now the only version available. Like I said, the game play itself I LOVE. I just wish I was allowed to play as much as I wanted but the current supply and gem limits don’t allow for it. It’s a great game, LET ME PLAY!!!!

Fun game, but buggy. As one reviewer put it, you don't need to drop any money in to play the game, you'll just be playing levels repeatedly until you get enough free gems to get the upgrades you need. Which I did for a few months, because the levels are well-designed, characters are unique, and the music is easy to listen to. But the bugs in the game test my patience on this. glu mobile as partnered with Tapjoy to bring free gems through completing actions such as opening ads, completing surveys, or making outside purchases. This helps with f2p, but getting in and out of the Tapjoy menu is a hassle because it is slow and freezes often. Luckily, the gems you earned get mailed if you have to close the game. If you try to watch an ad within the game to earn free gems, coins, or 30 more seconds, the ads sometimes "load" infinitely and you're forced to close the game and lose all the progress on the level you played and the play-energy used. Other quality of life issues include the clippy loading screen on launch and the slow or laggy camera movement when trying to scroll across the map (which only gets bigger and laggier as you advance in the game). It's a good game that's easy to get into, but also one that gets repetitive and is easy to move on from.

Ok, but could be improved.. The game starts out fun, but you can only play for a limited time before it forces you to either buy time with money or buy gems to upgrade your diner and food or you absolutely will not be able to beat the level. You reach this point very quickly and it’s frustrating. I’ve played a lot of diner dash games and this one has the most “pay to play” feel. You hit a point where you have to just grind away at the daily events to get enough gems to maybe possibly finally beat a level, only to hit the exact same wall with the next level. If I’m having fun with a game, I often will shell out a couple bucks for extra gems, etc, but not when the game is so obviously designed to force you to spend money to keep playing. It also automatically uses your boosts that you’ve earned so that when you really need them, you’re out and have to pay to buy more. I’m honestly pretty disappointed with the way it’s structured. It could be a really really fun game. It’s a shame they’ve decided to structure it like this. I’d rather pay a couple bucks for the game at the start than have all the micro transactions.

Die Hard Flo Fan...but. I have been playing Diner Dash forever. I love the graphics, the story, etc. However, earning gems/coins/etc. is darn near impossible without paying for them. I’d watch a video to earn boosts/gems/coins like other apps. You do have the opportunity to earn free coins, but it’s for things I’m not going to sign up for-making a purchase from a vendor, take a poll that never ends and you still don’t get your gems, etc. I understand the company needs to make money, but when I buy the largest pack of gems and coins, I expect them to last longer than 1 week because I am using them just to upgrade my equipment so Cookie can product faster. Folks, I hate to say it, but there are apps out there that are just as enjoyable, allow you to earn more “freebies” in a shorter amount of time, and will allow you to progress without having to purchase anything if you are willing to wait a day or 2 or watch a video instead of having to complete actions on 3rd party websites and even when you complete the action-you don’t give the advertised bonus. I hate to do this to you my beloved Diner Dash—but this is a pass for me until you can match the opportunities of other competitors’ apps.

Really great game. So I have been playing this game for a while now, and overall I love but there are a few suggestions I have. First off the star issue. You have have to earn stars by playing levels so you can upgrade and continue the game. I am fine with this but I am currently at the point where I have to earn one more star to start a new chapter and continue on. I am at the hotel level. I cannot continue on and earn one more star because the game requires you to replay levels until you earn all the stars. There are only fifteen levels and when you complete all of those you must replay them to earn more stars and I only need one more star but I can’t earn it. I use all the power ups plus a bunch of upgrades and I can’t win. I have never liked to spend real money on video game so I am just asking the Devs maybe to make a setting where you can earn a star occasionally by watching three ads in a row, or paying with gems. Sorry about the really long review for that one suggestion.

So much fun & easy to progress without breaking your wallet. Games like this are a rarity in the mobile app world. It’s fun and you can successfully progress without having to spend money. And the game doesn’t become less fun if you progress without spending money like most mobile games would do. I enjoyed Cooking Dash and a lot of the fun elements for that game definitely transferred here. Not to mention that they offer free gems every day several times throughout the day so you can easily save up for upgrades. And challenges allow you to earn gems easily as well. If I had to make one complaint though, it would be nice if each level didn’t automatically set boosts if you happen to have them. There have been multiple times where I accidentally started a level with a boost I didn’t want to use because I forgot to unselect it. I personally think that the boosts should be manually set if you want to use them. Or at least the option be presented in the settings for you to decide if boosts will be applied automatically based on whether or not you have them or manually activated prior to starting a level.

It’s kinda fun. It’s a fun game, however, the daily goals are ridiculous and impossible to finish. I don’t have 50 gems every day to spend on upgrades, people, or anything and everything else that cost gems. You know, some games make you use just coins for upgrades.. Please fix the daily goals, they are impossible to complete without spending real money everyday, too much real money for very little gems. I’m not paying $5 for 1 upgrade worth of gems. I might spend $2 for 50 gems, but not $5 for 20 gems. Might as well say “for every dollar you spend, you relieve 1 gem!” Everything in this game requires gems. This game isn’t hard at all, it’s just gem hungry and stops you from having fun because there is almost no way to earn gems, except the daily goals, which I nor anybody with no money can complete. This is the first game I’ve played that makes you spend your gems on what they want, not what you think will make the game fun. Everybody wants money, stop being selfish, make this game playable and fun, not restricted and demanding. This world is hard enough as it is, games help to distract us and make us feel accomplished, stop taking away the heart of gaming and replacing it with gems and greed, and make a great game actually worth time and money.

Cheated out of diamonds. So it’s obvious that this game (which I love) uses too many diamonds. What uses the most is to continue a level. 9 diamonds for just a few more seconds. It’s ridiculous. That’s why I would never use my hard earned diamonds to do that. I was playing a game and my time ran out like it has many times before and the screen popped up to use more diamonds or end the game. (Which the use 9 diamonds is a large button while the end game now is a smaller one. Like obviously they want you too accidentally hit the larger button.) Well I accidentally hit the use more diamonds which didn’t worry me at first because I thought well it’ll verify that I want to do that but then my game immediately started were I left off. I submitted an email explaining what happened and the customer service person albeit in a nice way called me a liar. They said it always ask. Well, it didn’t. They also told me if that didn’t take care of the problem, submit a new ticket. So I tried that, not to be rude but to explain more, and there’s no way to submit another one. I love this game and this is my only problem I’ve ever had but I can’t afford to let those diamonds go for a level I’m going to lose no matter what.

Usually good game. Latest update added “Father Time” scenario. Each time I try to play this imbedded series, I get an error that I lost connection……reload. I cannot play this scenario, and it only plays for 21 days. I haven’t been able to play it for two days now. I will not be able to accomplish what I want out of that scenario if you don’t fix the problem. I can play other areas of the game without “lost connection”. Edited 2/2/22: Really upset right now! For the last few days, this has happened 2-4 times each day…. While playing, everything seems fine until suddenly in the middle of dashing around, everything stalls mid stride. Sometimes the characters will move a step or two again in a Jersey motion, then the app closes. Meanwhile, I have lost all of the stuff I was using for that scene. I have lost several of my allowed tries at the Game of Thorns scene, and I have lost several of each of my bonus items (fast flow, quick customer, color match) not to mention when I had achieved my goals or I should have received diamonds. None of that gets recorded before it closes, and when you reboot, it is as if you didn’t earn anything and you lost all your bonus/tools. Really starting to irritate me enough to stop playing (and I have been playing this for years)

TRUE GAMER HERE. Listen, I’m never the type to leave a bad review or even review a game at all. So if I go out of my way to review a game it’s because it’s really good or really bad. In this case it’s really bad. The whole dynamic of the game is messed up. Firstly, I’m going to start with the star system. So you play rounds to earn stars to complete upgrades in the town / restaurant. Cool. Also comes with an upgrade shop where you can spend your coins on upgrades to make more money. Cool. Here’s what’s not cool. After you upgrade all your kitchen / restaurant properties the first time it then requires diamonds on the second level upgrade or higher. Diamonds ARE REALLY HARD TO EARN. You’ll get like 5 a day tops. Each upgrade is like coins and 3-5 diamonds getting higher and higher as you upgrade. But you’ll KEEP playing cause what else are you supposed to do. But then you get to higher levels that you won’t be able to earn all your stars because your upgrades aren’t good enough to keep up with the standards of the customers AND the level requirements that get your stars. So they make it REALLY hard to advance unless your sitting there for hours OR you pay. Ofc. These games always want money money money... it’s pathetic. Just make the game playable at least. A waste of time in my opinion. ON TOP OF THIS... the other diner dash games that were actually FUN are now removed from the App Store. Classic empire move. Play cooking dash at least.. but this game... don’t bother

Cool concept poorly executed.. I loved all the old diner dash games, and this is more of a tribute to that. It takes lots of ideas from better games and shoved them all together into a game that has short levels, is mostly about the extra faffing around, and has not real meat to the challenges. The times levels are so short they’re clearly just designed to get you to spend boosts and tokens to play them. It was a good idea, but so obviously exploitative and eager to get you to pay real money that I only played a to the second chapter before I got sick of all the stuff. We play diner dash because of the levels, not because we want to spend a bunch of time picking flowers and stuff. And the levels are so laughably short and easy this game was obviously made for kids with itchy micropayment fingers rather than for anyone else. Not worth the time. Play the old diner dash to relive the glory days because this will not scratch that itch. I would rather have payed 5$ to just hug the game and get to play the whole thing but this pretending this game is free to play is a joke. Either make a game or a micropayment factory. I don’t mind paying for a game but be upfront about it don’t act like it’s free and then make it impossible to continue without purchasing stuff. Not worth the time or the money.

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!. Ok first I just wanna say I don’t usually leave bad reviews. Usually if I don’t like an app I just delete it and move on, but since there was such poor customer service I thought I would warn others. First I want to say that I really wanted to like this app. I was a huge Diner Dash fan, which is why I downloaded the app in the first place. I can confirm what the other reviews say about not being able to advance without spending actual money is true. It is expected with a play to win game, but early on in the game you reach the level of having to pay just to advance in the game. I had won 45 min. of free game play. I was 10 min. into the free gameplay, and set it down to grab a drink which took about 5 min. (Honestly took less than that) Anyways, when I sat back down I had lost all my free play. I tried to reach out to customer support to fix this error. They replied pretty fast, but basically called me a liar, and refused to fix the error. This fix wouldn’t have costed them anything, and honestly I would probably still be playing. I don’t have a problem with pay to plays, and usually spend money every month on my favorite apps buying things, but I won’t take being called a liar. I’m not the kind of person that would lie just to get things as I’m a gown adult that spends money each month on digital purchases. If you’re a Diner Dash fan like me, don’t waste your time on this app!

Don’t bother. I play a lot of cooking games and I spend money. I do not mind spending money on games. I figure it’s a business like any other. But this game has gotten excessive. It does not matter how many gems you buy, you will never have enough. At least with other games, you win a gem or something for completing a level. On this one - sometimes you “win” a gem that goes in a piggy bank that you can BUY, so you didn’t really “win” anything. It’s a decent price, but ridiculous if you think about it. You rarely win gems and you may get them by watching videos. I say may because often you win more coins or the gem is not actually rewarded. Also, the idea of a game is to have fun. It’s no longer fun when levels are only attainable by busting out the credit card. A healthy balance is good. Sure, can the gems add up? Yes, but then an upgrade will cost a hell of a lot more. I usually do not even bother writing a bad review. I simply delete the app and move on. But I just thought I would try to warn maybe a couple of people before you spent your money. Again, it’s pretty sad when you are losing people who actually don’t mind spending money on games when you have gotten too greedy and are nickel and dining (intentional) them to death.

LOVE this game but have suggestions. There should be rewards for earning every possible star in a chapter and there should especially be rewards for winning all possible stars at a venue. I went back and earned every single star for the first diner and it felt like a waste of my time and diamonds because nothing happened when I finished. Please give me a piggy bank at least 😩 Second, the power-ups should not be automatically selected at the beginning of a level. Its annoying having to unselect them constantly and sometimes wasting them by accident. Also It could be easier to earn diamonds or make upgrades cost less diamonds, maybe some of the cheaper upgrades don’t require any diamonds and only require coins. Its pretty much impossible to upgrade enough stuff to win levels without spending real money. Overall though this game definitely earned 5/5 stars!! Nothing is perfect but this is pretty close 😅

Give this game a chance. So in light of all the bad reviews, I have to give a good one. I never review games either because I’m a lazy person when it comes to that. I gave this game a 5 star review. All the people complaining seem to be the impatient people playing this game. It’s pay to win ONLY if you’re impatient. I’ve only spent $10 max on this game and that’s because I was impatient the day I spent it. This is the game I’ve spent the most time on out of all my games and just beat all the story 2 days ago. You absolutely do not need to spend money to beat the game or the story. Every time a notification pops up about there being new deals in the store, I log on and grab the gems from there. They even made the first deal free for you people complaining after the first few months of it being out. The second deal to buy is IN GAME COINS, not real money to buy the gems. So if you’re a patient person and you’re interested in this game, ignore the bad reviews and play it. Everyone wants a trophy today but no one wants to put in the work to get there. Developers, I’m really looking forward to the VIP you’re putting in the game. I already buy the VIP every week for Kingdom Hearts mobile game. Also thanks for making this game and keep up the good work.

More coins. This is a great game, and I love it! I’ve been playing it for years and even when I had to restart my phone and lost all of my games I re download this game because I love it! You can get a lot of gems by ad offers, and other things and I have so many gems but I never have enough coins, you can play levels and get coins but often you don’t get enough to really do anything, so I just wish that there was a way to get more coins, like a separate ad offer just for coins, or like you can buy coins with your gems. So I really love this game and I was just hoping if you had time you could add like more coins to make it better? Not like infinity coins just like if your stuck on a level you could like buy coins with your gems, so just an idea! Anyways love the game, probably one of my favorites out of all the ones I have, and if you can add more coins, awesome! If not it’s good, still a fun game! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Probably will delete. I’m giving it two stars for a couple different reasons. At first I would have given it 4-5 stars because I liked how it wasn’t just the diner you could slowly open a whole map and design things but then once I got farther in the game I’d win 2-3 stars and it would give me 1 or none at all it’s done that at least 5 times now and then on the grandma vine game or whatever it is I played a game 3 times in a row each time getting a score over 600 and winning all 3 flowers but every time at the end it would tell me connection error when I never disconnected from WiFi and everything was fine and I’d have to restart and do the same level over even though it took my dash things and didn’t award me with the flowers so I essentially wasted my dashes and diamonds do get those dashes. I’ve put a lot of money into this game and I don’t EVER purchase things in a game but for some reason I wanted to on this and I enjoyed it up until it started doing this to me. I’m probably going to end up deleting it if it doesn’t get resolved and my stuff isn’t rewarded or my things are returned especially the things I paid literal money for and they were taken.

Ruined by the updates and subsequent massive downloads. The actual game is enjoyable but every time the app has an update, there’s always a massively frustrating, timely and ridiculous downloads that follow. The app already has problems due to their servers not being able to handle the game as is, and the load that they put onto the user is just unacceptable. I put off downloading the most recent update because I knew that the the update would have a subsequent download that takes forever and I was right. I kept the app open for 30 minutes and only 2 parts had downloaded, but the rest of the sections were still halfway finished and remained that way. The app will not allow you to play until you download whatever update has been put out, and the packages have been increasingly cumbersome and timely. I play other games and I update them regularly but I never experience this kind of issue, even if there’s an additional download that has to download after the update, only this one. It’s very ridiculous and ruins everything to the point that I’m about to delete it from my phone, because more and more these updates are just unacceptably and massively frustrating. Why would a gameplay developer pass that kind of data requirement onto their users?

Great idea...just expensive. I have always loved the Diner Dash series. Even when Flo went to Hotel Dash and so on, the series was always enjoyable. I have beaten every game there was, a master of combos. This game was very fun at first. 2 days of free play without using energy, a good amount to upgrade, amazing graphics, storyline continues from previous games, etc. But now when you get to level 3, you can’t even get a star to pass a level without any boosts, everything costs diamonds, but yet there are no diamonds to find. Only if you are willing to pay for boosts every level or do free ad work which gets annoying very fast. I don’t mind paying some for a game here or there, usually after hours of frustration but this one takes the cake for now. I wonder if it’s because it is no longer by Big Fish Games like it originally was? Did Glu buy them out or did they change the name?? It kind of feels like a sell out on a popular series to make money. However, I’ll keep the game on my phone to see if anything happens for easier diamond retrieval, etc.

Game might have a bug or 2. I like this one better because I personally like having to do the cooking levels instead of the puzzles Iike many others. This game is pretty good, I like that while fixing up the city you can pick from different options. What I have been noticing lately that I’m not a fan of is when you finish a level, the bar in the top corner shows how many stars you earned like it usually shows for me that I got 1 star. But then once your supposed to get them it almost never gives me one, it only gives me coins. It even showed that I got 2 stars on the bar once then it showed I only got one, but as soon as the stars went in, it went from 1 to 3. It’s annoying that it shows me I get stars but then give me none. This hasn’t started since yesterday and I’ve only had the game for a few days so far. There are also diamonds, but they can be hard to get and to upgrade anything or anyone it can cost up to 6, but this number could go up. It takes awhile just to get one but then you can lose lots of them just upgrading one thing. Then unfortunately, this effects your level, and you have a higher chance of not getting anything.

Never enough gems. You earn gems to upgrade for more hearts and coins. BUT you are always short of gems. When you DO earn gems when finishing a level, they put them in a piggy bank and save them for you to buy for actual cash - currently $2.99 for the 40 you earned. You can earn one when the ad watch is triggered, or for a daily quest completion when 1 gem is the reward, when a random boost appears that will drop extra gems (usually 1-2), and a few free in the store each refresh of the store. But this game only improves when you spend gems for upgrades. You cannot progress very far without those upgrades. Example - you need to earn 100 coins to advance. Without upgrading you will always be 34 coins short, even with boosts activated, trying different strategies (which can sometimes get you closer to the 100 and maybe 1 or two coins over, but not usually), because you haven’t upgraded at least one item or character (and you typically need to upgrade at least 2) to generate those extra coins. And what do you need to upgrade items? Gems and sometimes coins as well. So you will always be gem-poor and coin-rich and stuck at a level unable to progress until you either buy gems in the store, buy back your hard-earned gems locked in a piggy bank, or accumulate the free gems over several days. So play on after spending actual money or great lengths of time to accumulate gems to spend no money.

Nice game, but.... The servers keep having issues, and because of this, a handful of my boosts and keys I accumulated by playing the game and by purchasing have disappeared. It’s quite annoying. Especially when I have to be the one burdened to prove that the game has issues. Thankfully, I recorded when it happened. I just need to know who to address. The only game I have yet to encounter any issues with is the Sims FreePlay. Why can’t all apps follow their lead when it comes to avoiding bugs and other issues that end up cheating us out of our money and time? I’ve played that game since 2016. Not once have any of my items/currency disappeared, nor have they had any server problems. I’ve only been playing DDA for less than a month. On a more positive note, I will commend the musical composers of this game. Diner Dash has always had catchy tunes since I played the game on PC way back when. Anyway, I don’t know who to reach out to or what can be done about these issues, but I refuse to purchase anymore gem/coin currency packs and I would recommend others not to do so either until they can maybe reassure that the game will stop crashing and stealing our purchased/earned items. It’s theft.

The worst customer support experience I’ve ever had. I’m not going to say that the game isn’t fun cause it is, I really enjoy playing it. However, the customer support for this app is horrendous. I’ve spent multiple days just trying to get a glitch that happened to be fixed to no avail. I had to repeat the same things multiple times because the support person continually gave me answers for things I wasn’t inquiring about and/or weren’t even related to my issue. On top of being just frustrating in the handling of the issue they didn’t end up fixing my issue and essentially told me that they wouldn’t fix it and it was my fault for a glitch that occurred with their game. As long as you never have an issue where customer support is needed the game is totally worth playing but if you do need them you better not get your hopes up that they will actually listen to you or fix anything. TLDR: support ignores your issue, frustrating experience, won’t fix issue. Fun game otherwise Edit: after reading other reviews it looks like a lot of people have experienced the same issues as me. I’d also like to note that it took the customer rep hours to respond which is why this issue took days to “resolve” which really just means my customer rep implying I was lying multiple times

Can’t advance without buying upgrades. I loved the old diner dash, even had the computer game years ago. This however is to trick you into thinking it’s Diner Dash to only give you tiny little levels where to get to more levels you have to play the same levels over and over after you beat them to get more stars and can only beat them if you upgrade items. It’s not based off skill at all, which is frustrating. The game itself would be less frustrating if you didn’t have to play the same 1 minute levels over and over to advance and had the option to skip the stupid story line all together. I don’t understand why game developers would incorporate these other game factors in a time management game?! Makes no sense? People playing this game aren’t captivated by what’s happening with the stars and improving the town, they’re playing the game for the actual diner dash game. From the sounds of all these reviews it’d be more beneficial to come out with a paid classic version of the game, as myself, and others it appears, would shell out the money for that. I will however not shell out money to play the same 1 minute levels over and over and then when you get to a new chapter it goes back to super easy even if it’s the 3rd chapter.

More frustrating than fun. I love all the Diner Dash games, so I hate to give 2 star review but after reading some of the other reviews on here all I can say is SAME. I was so excited to play this game but after weeks of grinding to get diamonds I have reached my limit. I complete every daily challenge possible, log in throughout the day while I’m at work to get offers from the store and I still cannot catch up on upgrades. Today for instance I completed my daily bonus challenges and am awarded 15 minutes diamond rush. Awesome, this is where customers have a chance to drop diamonds when playing levels. Too bad for me because I have 0 groceries to play anymore levels now since I had already played my 50 groceries previously which took a whopping 5-7 minutes!!! In 20 minutes I’ll have enough groceries to play 1 level which takes 2 minutes to compete but guess what no diamond bonus because that perk will be over by then! So to summarize levels are entirely too short, diamonds are a pain to get, upgrades eventually get ridiculously expensive (10-12 diamonds to upgrade something then realize you won’t even serve that in the next chapter) please balance the game out and I will gladly spend $2.99 on 20 diamonds if I knew it would get me more than 1 or 2 upgrades

Videos never work. Great game absolutely love it. But whenever you’re playing a level and come to the end and it pops up something like “watch video for a 30 second continue”.. it NEVER lets you continue. Specifically when you’re playing the food trucks. You watch the video and as soon as it’s over it just has a loading symbol over the game and then doesn’t let you continue it just freezes. End up losing out on that whole turn, all the money collected whatever it may be.. same with the “free continue” they give you through the rewards you click and click and click to use the free continue but it won’t let it be clicked but you sure can click ‘stop for now’ and it works just fine. With that being said, it is a great game just don’t click on those things and you won’t get let down and disappointed and gipt out of the rewards you initially collected before having to restart the game.

Needs to be a little better. It’s fun but after awhile it gets frustrating. Everything cost gems but gems come slowly. The first upgrade of everything should be strictly coins and after that it shouldn’t be 8 gems just to upgrade something. It should be way more attainable. I even do the daily goals, daily deals, AND daily deliveries as well as watching ads with offers to maximize my gem count and it can still be unrealistic. Sometimes you’re offered one gem from each of those so that’s only 4 and then you have to wait at least 8 hours for another gem. It can take three days just to get 8 gems at times. Second- I’m at the fish shack on the ocean and I have upgraded everything at least once and still can’t pass certain levels. I upgraded two items at once and STILL couldn’t pass levels getting anymore stars or anything. I even have three days of free play (almost over) and can’t get anywhere. Third- the specials levels shouldn’t cost gems to upgrade stuff. You already don’t get enough. I’ve played beatrix’s day off multiple times and I’ve passed three levels all together because you can’t get anywhere without upgrading, same with game of thorns. It’s ridiculous.

New Status. My first review, which should have been sent two month ago, but just got sent. My new review is that as the game grows, obviously, glitches are happening more frequently and there will be more complaints to sift through, so customer service response gets slower, fine. My issue is, customer support is getting Way worse. It’s not the timing that is the issue, it’s that the support team has gone from apologetic and helpful, to accusatory. Doesn’t matter what you say or how you say it, it’s always, “there’s nothing in our record that indicate...” or “sorry, try this...” even when you Literally Just told them that’s what you did”, or even “that’s how the game is...” when you play everyday and know that isn’t true. What happened to “sorry, here are a couple gems for your patience and helping notify us of the issues you’re encountering”? I’m not asking for a lot, just good quality customer service. I work in customer service, your’s Isn’t good, and it’s getting worse. I’m one more bad experience with your customer service team away from deleting this And your other dash game from my phone and all devices I own. Stop outsourcing, or better train your employees. It’s not hard to say sorry instead of just telling is we’re playing the game wrong.

Really great game just a few things I don’t like.. I have been playing this game for over a year now. I love Flo and diner dash games, I’ve been playing them for years. I love the storylines, the new characters and challenges. Game of thrones is fun but I’ve bought so many upgrades including money that I still can’t ever place in the top 10 even. The breakfast truck with Shakes I thought was a super cool idea. But it’s so hard to level up things and stay on top of making food for your truck to run, half the time I don’t even play that even when it happens. Another thing is I always end up waiting weeks for the next levels. I understand I may play the game faster than developers can make which is why I’m super happy there are other levels to the game I can play while waiting. Normally when this happens I’ll just log on for my daily bonuses and wait patiently for a new chapter to begin after awhile. I’ll continue to play because I love watching the story line and seeing all the new things we can build in dinertown. I’ll be willing to change my rating if things improve because I really want to give it 5 plus stars! 💜💜💜

Longtime fan… but not with this one. Let me start by saying I’ve always been a fan of diner dash, cooking dash, miss management and the other dash games. I gave it a shot, really. You need to get enough stars to move on? That’s fine. You need tons of gems to upgrade to get stars to progress the story? Still fine. What really got me is chapter 4 when you start helping out the hotel owner. This decrepit hotel needed help, and one of the many tasks is to fix the lawn mower, which requires a star. After the lawn mower is fixed, Flo needs to mow the lawn, which requires another star. First of all. Why is Flo the one mowing the lawn? And this hotel owner has the audacity to joke that she missed a spot? Excuse me? The beginning tasks felt like nice favors for neighbors, but this particular chapter just feels like she’s getting hustled. And so are we. Because the game is set up where it’s extremely difficult to earn gems. You can probably get an average of 5 gems per day, and most upgrades cost anywhere from 2-15 gems. Most of the tougher levels definitely need several upgrades to complete. So if you’re okay going at a snail’s pace (or paying for gems), while feeling unappreciated by the game characters… well then I suppose this game is for you.

Still New?. Unfinished may be the right word, or maybe I’m just hopeful. All the bad reviews are about the money grabbing system of requiring hard to come by diamonds for everything, which is why I came here too. The showcased great reviews are defending this system by implying patience is the remedy. I was told never to point out a problem without offering a solution so here it is. I am patient, and I played for three days patiently taking every given opportunity for free diamonds as suggested. This may work, if you want days worth of progression needlessly stretched into months. On principle, though, I shouldn’t have to use diamonds for upgrades that the game cannot progress without. On principle, I shouldn’t be losing upwards of 30+ diamonds I earn with every star to an already full piggy bank. On principle, this game should give an alternative to using diamond. Expensive coin cost OR diamond, expensive coin trade FOR diamonds, diamonds for exclusive appeal items ONLY (like the idea behind keys’ use in town upgrades). Coming from a very patient person, this app is the start of a good game with an unfortunate paywall barring the enjoyment of the casual player. A flop, by mobile game standards.

Great game; requires patience. For fans of the classic Diner Dash, and for new fans, this is a great game. It has a nice story, albeit with some cheesy dialogue. It is a “freemium” game. It DOES NOT require you to pay to play. Every day, there are “daily deals” which allow you to collect gems, coins, power ups, or character hearts. There is always one free deal, usually a handful of gems. The other deals are paid for using the in-game currency. To play a level, you need “supplies.” Your supply meter is full at 50, and each level requires 10 supplies to play. It can be tedious to earn enough gems and coins for upgrades, but if you are patient, you don’t need to spend any actual money. This game simply does what every other freemium game does: prey on impatience. The gems can be earned through “ad offers.” They are sometimes buggy, but you will earn the gems 95% of the time. Be on the lookout for 2x gem promos on these ad offers. They pay dividends! For coins, find a level that earns a lot of coins, and just replay it. I’ve been playing this game for months, and I haven’t spent any money on it. I’ve also earned max stars on all levels. All the bad reviews appear to be written by impatient whiners. My hope is that people will see past those, give the game a chance, and be patient. If you’re short on time, it will take you a while to advance, but that doesn’t make the game any less fun.

A Good Start. This was turning into what could potentially be my favorite game. I’ve already spent over and hour playing it and I just started! And that’s big because I’m not a big game person. But the moment you shortened my time to play? You basically lost me. I get that you have to rig the system to try to get people to buy from your shop like with more supplies, keys, or diamonds. But randomly putting a time limit? Here I am just serving the customers and having a grand old time, when my fun is cut short because “closing time”. First of all, in the real world, If I had already seated the customer and their food had already been ordered, they can stay past closing. They don’t get thrown out because it’s time to close. I’m sure a lot of workers wish that’s how it really works, but it doesn’t. And secondly, you rigged the system to where there is no possible way to finish that round without having to buy more time. There are ways to get around not buying the diamonds, but earning them. There are way to choose the fix you want without using keys. And there is even a time limit for the supplies so you don’t have to buy more. The “store hours”, if you will, is the final straw. So much potential. But you just lost a player. I know corporate doesn’t mind one player when they have 1,000’s-1,000,000’s of players. It’s just sad because I truly liked this game. And that’s rare.

Very unfair. The game was really fun at first. But after a few level your upgrades cost most of your gold and basically all of your gems. You have to upgrade everything. Stuff in the restaurant, relationships with customers and so on. If you don’t upgrade the equipment, things don’t move fast enough for you to complete the level. If you don’t upgrade your relationships with customers, you don’t earn enough hearts to complete the level. If you don’t have enough time to earn the right amount of hearts you can’t move on. And upgrading just the equipment or just the relationships isn’t enough. You need to upgrade both to complete the levels. When you only receive one or two gems once in a while and have to upgrade two or three things that take 2 or 3 gems each it’s impossible. Unless you buy gems. You can buy 20 gems for $2 and after about 3 or 4 upgrades your gems are gone. Then one or two levels later it’s time to upgrade again or you won’t win. You can also complete tasks on bogus websites designed to spam you but they don’t work. I did one and never received my gems. I won’t be playing anymore unless changes are made that it’s either easier to get gems, you get more gems for your buck or less upgrades. This game was not designed to just make a small profit. It was designed for greed and nothing else.

Getting too expensive to play!!!. First….I LOVE this game!! I’ve been playing for years. However, new items added every chapter and every venue is impossible to do with the money and gems you’ve collected/earned while playing the game!! I have spent $30+ this month!?!? The sad thing is that it still wasn’t enough to level the new items and equipment to the top level!!!! It won’t happen again!! As I’m playing a different venue I started resenting the game and contemplating wether to play next month’s new restaurant venue!! Btw… how about something other than a restaurant?? Things to do/accomplish??? To play the game without buying gems is impossible!! The prices on the timed 4 assorted game cash items to buy are finally lowered so thank you for that!! The game is so clever!! But you have to do something about adding 4 new items every chapter and 4 new pieces of equipment on every venue!!!! I used to be able to play without purchasing anything and have 3 stars on every level!! Those days are gone!! I hope something changes!!

Great game, but yea, you’ll spend money.. I’ve played every Diner Dash game and most of the iterations (Wedding Dash etc) since they debuted so I got this game the minute I got a new phone. It has the same fun and gameplay of the other Dash games (although what the heck happened to Flo and why is she now a sharp-faced witchy looking redhead?) and I’ve given it 4 stars for that. But yes, it’s pay to play. It’s not if you are the type of person who wants to play for about 20 minutes and stop. On other games like this you only lose a life if you lose the round, but on this game you lose lives even for winning. Your lives run out in about 20 minutes and then you can spend gems or money to fill them. Free gems are offered but not enough to cover say a 2 hour playing session. If you don’t upgrade products you can’t progress in the game and the products become outrageously expensive. Even farming rounds over and over you don’t have enough and need to buy gems to upgrade. They need to either A) make you only lose lives if you don’t pass the round and lower the cost of upgrades or B) offer a ‘buy full version’ like they always did. A little suspicious that that isn’t an option at all on this game. I’ve spent quite a bit to keep playing this as much as I do.

Fun Game!. I really love this game and have been playing for over a year now. The only problem I have and why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there have been glitches for the last 2 months or so. I have been playing the food truck and then when my time is up it says to watch an ad for 3 more seconds. I do so but after the ad it freezes. So, then I have to exit completely and when I get back on it doesn’t save my progress but it uses one of my 5 game tokens to play. It wouldn’t be a big deal if it at least saved my progress before it froze. Also, the new Father’s Day game started yesterday and every time I try to play it I’m told that my internet connection was lost. I have yet to have a chance to play it because it keeps spazzing out and I know for a fact that it is not my internet because it has happened every time no matter where I’m at. I love this game and hope that those glitches can get worked out because it is very frustrating when that happens and I just close the game.

Too Many Problems, Needs Improvement.. As of right now, this is my favorite game. I play it everyday, but every time I play it gets on my nerves. First of all, the timed challenges are unreasonable. If they give you 1:20 seconds to play, you only get 1:15. The timer starts before you walk in and the people arrive, so it takes five seconds to start. And even if you got the five seconds, it’s still impossible. Also, there aren’t enough chances to earn gems. It’s nearly impossible to have over ten gems at once, and you need that many to upgrade your materials enough to complete a level, and it makes it less fun. Next on the list, the power ups. There are too few of them, and when you actually get them, it automatically equips them, so half the time I end up using them by accident. Now, this really bothers me. On levels where I can get to stars and I only earn one, it doesn’t give me the star! It makes the game SO much harder and really frustrating. Overall, the game is really fun, but the timed challenges are impossible. There are too few gems, the power ups are frustrating, and the stars are a scam. I really hope for improvement in this game because it’s so fun.

Love the game, hate my bank account. I’ve always loved Diner Dash & always will but I think the creators need to start listening to the reviewers. For every solo complaint about the cost & time spent advancing, there are plenty more dashers not speaking up because not everyone likes to take the time to write a review, or considers leaving a review to be a hassle. (Let’s be honest, clicking stars or “Not now,” is way easier.) I’m not denying that I haven’t purchased gems, but I’ve reached a point of shame realizing how much time & money I’ve spent with a lesser return from the game & its creators. & come to find out other dashers have complained about this for a while now? I feel a little foolish, for sure. But hey, if I don’t pay someone will, right Diner Dash? I’m just about done adding to this cash cow. & having to wait for my energy to be refilled only makes me search for new games to play in the meantime. There will come a day when other games will fulfill my interest for more rapid gameplay & the Diner Adventures app will be quivering with the other games of my past as I make more room on my phone. Guess it’s a good thing this app company dabbles in more than just the Diner Dash fandom, otherwise they’d do something about this. Bummer.

Fun game could use some improvements. This is overall a fun game that is easy to advance with some patience. I think there are adequate ways to play without spending money. Gems are available for free throughout the day and by watching videos. I enjoy the game and I’ve finished all of the star levels so at this point I’m just working on the VIP levels and saving to upgrade. This is good because it gives me a reason to play while waiting on the next update. Overall it’s a nice game to play quickly to pass a bit of time or take a break during the day. I do wish that when a timed bonus is achieved you could choose when to start it. It is frustrating to win the bonus only to have it be wasted because you are out of groceries. I’ve tried not to claim the bonus until Im ready but it’s easy to do by accident. The other thing I don’t like is that the boosts are automatically checked so they have to be removed each time before starting a level. I would rather choose when to use them and I will never buy one because it’s too easy to use them inadvertently.

Why Two Stars?. I have always loved Diner Dash. I find myself downloading every version of it. The graphics are great and I love the transformations you get to do. However, I feel like this game is solely after your money. You only get one star per level that you clear, and it takes you two stars just do do simple tasks that don’t really have to do with the restaurant. For example, it took me about 4 stars to make birds return to the plaza. I’m currently in the game where I have over 7000 coins, but only one gem and you pretty much can’t do anything without the gems. Every level has been timed, you only get about 1:30 to beat each goal, but they take 5 seconds off your time because you have to wait for Flo to get into position, then you have to wait for the customer to show up. The characters that are out of your control (the cook) is VERY slow, but you can’t upgrade the cook without gems, you can’t get gems without beating levels (unless you pay for them), and you can’t beat the levels because the cook is slow. It’s all very frustrating. It’s a shame because this has potential to be a VERY enjoyable game. It’s just always about the almighty dollar. Upsetting!:(

READ THIS PLS. It’s a great game I give it 4/5 stars the reason I gave it 4 and not 5 is because it gets kinda repetitive on the upgrading part after awhile. It’s not really how good your reflects/ or how quick you are it has to do more on how good your upgrades are if that makes sense. And I also wish they would work on the gems part because without them you can’t really do anything like rn I have to wait until it gives me a chance to get gems. At this moment I have over 6K coins and 0 gems and I’m just here stuck just waiting I hope it gives you more chances on getting gems. Ik you can go to a place where it gives you more options on getting gems but most of them have to do by buying something by your credit card or for example a few of them tell you to give them your opinion on something and I was like okay sounds simple enough after I gave my opinion it ask me to put my name my address how old I was my credit card of which I don’t have and I was like why would you need a credit card and other personal stuff of which I didn’t feel comfortable giving please fix the gem problem I really like this kind of game.

Only Worth It You’re Willing to Pay Money. I’ve given this game a year. I actually love the concept of the game, but unless you willing to shell out a bit of money, you’ll never win a competition, you won’t get hardly any of the special characters, and what finally did it for me is that every time you play a new House of Thorns or boat event they start you over with new items that start at zero so all the coins and gems you pay out leveling up aren’t useful at any future event. I have spent cash on this game; probably more than my son pays on one video game that he gets to keep everything as he progresses. I even broke down for the current event and spent the money for the “Special Menu” and started with 100 gems (saved them for two weeks) and I’m still not going to get close to the top spots in the events. The other major issue I have is that in the Food Truck events you earn all this “cash” that you can’t do anything with other than upgrade stuff in the trucks. After awhile you have to pay so many gems for the updates that you are stuck so you don’t get to keep your earned money because you are “maxed out” (can you imagine if they did that in real life). The game has just become stagnant because it’s just starting over again and again. It’s fun for about six months so if that’s what you’re looking for you might enjoy this game. If you’re looking for a long-term enjoyable game that you can build on, this is not it.

Game not working right,Game want load & it will take your lives,Stealing Gems. You guys be stealing gems that we get when we do offers and than we write about it you still don’t give us our gems and than you start ignoring people when they contact you guys and write about how we can’t open up the game and we can’t play any games, I have wrote about lives I paid fir with my real money and I lost them either by your game stopping and restarting on its on. Some items in the game don’t work they be locked, It’s just not right to take hard earn money from us why we going through a pandemic. Than I wrote you guys a week and 1 day ago and still having heard anything back from you guys. It’s cool you got free money off me and said forget me, because you all not worried about us paying our money for Gems that get took from us are bags that is lives that we pay for that get took from us. I just don’t understand why nobody having said I’M SORRY and tried to Fixs my issue I been playing your game since 2018 and this how I get treated. Guys if you looking for a game like this and people that care about your feelings and what’s going on within they game “PLAY COOKING DIARY” You will think me later. I really can’t believe you all done me like this. I guess I got to try to see if my bank would give me my money back now that I spent with you all and let my bank come after you all for they money.

Monetization Designer needs to be fired. Greedy game.. I’ve always been a fan of Diner Dash. I’ve been playing this version for awhile now and while it’s a somewhat enjoyable game, it’s very obviously about monetizing as much as possible and comes across as a really sleazy used car salesmen or the goons in this game. They need to hire the monetization designers from games like Fire Emblem Heroes or Final Fantasy Brave EXVIUS where I actually don’t mind paying for things in the games because they weren’t sleazily trying to squeeze the money out of me. I paid for the games because I wanted to support it. Positive things. Not negative. I don’t want to bitterly give you money because that’s what I need to win...because I’ll be less willing to. I want to give you money because it’s a good game that I have fun with and enjoy and deserves support. The positive aspects of this game is that the art is cute, the music is fun, and the actual game design isn’t bad but I feel is hampered by the predatory monetization aspect. Instead of some levels being about skill in resource management, it’s more about upgrades... Update: With the addition of Skillet Mode, it’s much easier to earn gems. I’ve added an additional star to my review as it seems like they’re less greedy. I’ve also put more money into the game too.

Slow to add more adventures. Very disappointed!!! I’ve been playing this game for a few years every day, or night, and loved it. I’ve actually pay for the gems with my actual money in order to buy boosters, mainly for the food truck tournaments, so I have a better chance of placing 1st-3rd place. I also buy packages so I can get more coins to decorate or advance further in my Town. With the Food Truck Tournaments my screen tend to freeze up at least a couple times during the 1 and a half days the tournament lasts. When it freezes up I end up losing out on the Chef Hat, Quick Customer Booster and the order up boosters which I PAID FOR with my own money. Customer service was good about reimbursements a few times, now the last message they sent me after I requested reimbursement for the lost boosters, they refused to reimburse me. They actually basically accused me of lying because they said they seen my history or requests…! NOT MY FAULT their game freezes up, and how cheap of them not to reimburse someone who spends a lot of money on their game!! I am not going continue to contribute and Support their game, especially after making accusations that I’m not being truthful. Really?!? All over a few boosters that costs them NOTHING.

Extreme Lagging. I love this game, let me say that first. But in the last month, it has gotten ridiculous how much it is lagging and costing me turns. Just now I had the game freeze and need to restart five times in ten minutes. During the last monthly restaurant, I would use turns and not even be able to play. The level would start and the customers just stand right in the middle of the restaurant. You couldn’t see orders, distribute food, and when done, the screen would freeze. But you never got the turns back. I’ve lost many “power ups” like Fast Flo, because I select them for a level that turns out to be unplayable. I don’t get my turn or the power up back. I’ve had days where the game is literally unplayable. Not to mention the new daily changing restaurant for the game. Now instead of being able to advance by purchasing upgrades to one restaurant to advance, you have different ones daily. So you either purchase more diamonds to upgrade each one or skip the day and hope the next level is one you have done before. I have spent so much on this game and love it, but it’s so frustrating now, and it’s feeling like a money grab.

Must use real money to advance. I don’t write reviews for anything. It’s rare. I used to play diner dash and games like wedding dash and all those old versions, which were always really good and kept me hooked on them. I downloaded this because I just had to try it. It was fun at first but now I have to spend real money just to advance? It’s really ridiculous. I have already spent money twice in hopes of being able to progress further and just get one more star.. I can’t find any way of earning gems to get further. The levels are impossible to pass without gems.. you have to have gems to upgrade anything to help you get stars.. don’t waste your money like I did.. it doesn’t last and you get maybe one star further and then you have to spend more money. If you can get free gems.. you can maybe earn one unless you want subscribe to some stupid ads to get more, so in turn, setting yourself up for spam. Makes me mad that they took such a good game and made it impossible to get far without spending money. Money hungry much? If that was going to be the case, you should have just had it a app you had to pay for to begin with. 😡

It’s fun. I like playing this game. I probably play more often than I should. They do double up on things that you need to spend diamonds on however and the diamonds are not that easy to accumulate especially when everything gets more expensive such as the characters. For each game the characters all need upgrading there is currently 4 different games then on top of that they all need continuous upgrading outside of the games to allow for upgrading inside the games you do get rewards for these upgrades but they don’t really equal to how much you have to give.

Good, but could use improvement.. I find overall that this game is good, has an interesting story and challenges the player to think quickly. I do however think that there are two aspects in the game that could definitely use some improvement: I believe that the gem system is entirely unfair, and the heavy reliance on either waiting for days to upgrade one specific item, or otherwise having to pay real money to buy gems to upgrade items is not only frustrating for all players, but it is also not child-friendly. Developers may find that the players will lose interest quite quickly, especially when such a simple and otherwise fun game does not give the player the satisfaction of being able to upgrade at the same pace of the game. Another issue that could be rectified in this game is the timer system within levels. I believe that the timer should not start until the first customer physically arrives on the screen. Often I find that four or five seconds have gone by before the first customer arrives and you’re able to interact with the game.

Good but.... So I started playing and I was having lots of fun and then I unlocked the bit where you have a little booklet that shows all the designs you can unlock with keys that you haven’t already. And every time I go on it, it freezes. Won’t let me out or do anything in it. I have to refresh the game to play again. I really want to be able to move around in that booklet. Good job on your games. Keep the work up

Love it. I really really enjoy playing this game. There is sooo many endless levels, however would of been nearly impossible to continue if I didn’t purchase gems. I’m up to chapter 21, which I’ve finished and now it’s saying I haven’t got anything more to do yet it’s kind of like “loading something new”. I have been playing this game for almost a year now and I’m super sad it’s done. I love it!

Great game with upsides and downsides. Overall isn’t a good app. If you have seen these reviews they are true. This game is getting a bit annoying since I play on iPad and it constantly always freezes or kicks me off the app. This game is a good game but it gets annoying and addicting. It’s one of those apps you have to constantly spend all your money on doing now levels. It says to me sometimes “cannot reach device type”. It isn’t very good for when u really wanna play but won’t let you play. This ain’t a good app especially because it will be adddicting (mostly like all apps) 🙄 it does take up some charge but that’s mainly what happens. There is some upsides with this app however. You see I am a person who LOVES to cook 👩‍🍳 there is loads of new maps to unlock but costs money and diamonds and whatever. (Like all apps make you pay for) it is an awesome but sometimes bad app. Don’t mean to send hate on the developers who made this, but I suggest you look back and maybe put some better updates in there :) Overall pretty good app 🤗👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Good but needs a lot of improvement. I’ve been playing one level for the last 2 days and I can not get past it because I need diamonds to upgrade things and I can only get maybe 2 diamonds a day so at the rate I’m going it’s gonna be a week before I can pass the level and by then I’m gonna get bored and delete the game. Have it so you can watch videos to get diamonds ALL the time not just one video in 24 hours and have more ways of actually getting diamonds. And no I’m not paying

Needs improvement. I absolutely love this game and the new graphics has been improved a lot. I loved playing this game at the start until I realised I HAD to keep upgrading nearly everything after each level. The old diner dash you just needed coins to upgrade… now you need gems as well as coins. Everybody knows you HAVE to earn the gems and use them for special upgrades but it shouldn’t be for every basic upgrade needed to keep going.. it’s getting really frustrating trying to find ways to get gems and keep playing without repeating the level to get same result.

Nothing at all like a real diner dash game. I got this game to try as all my old diner dash and hotel dash time management games no longer work despite the large amounts of money paid for them. So I was excited to see a new diner dash game in the App Store. However it is absolutely nothing like the real diner dash games. It is not even a time management or strategy game at all. I don’t even know what type of game you would call this. Basically just a series of instructions flashes up on the screen and you tap to follow each instruction at a time. No thinking for yourself, no strategising, no time limits, just really boring actually.

good but TOO HARD TO GET GEMS. I have enjoyed playing this game a lot but the one major thing that should be changed in this game is the difficulty to get gems. It’s extremely difficult to earn gems in this game and they are essential in order to advance in levels as you used them buy upgrades and Hearst from customers. Without these upgrades and hearts you cannot beat the levels at all. Glu Games should make such upgrades and hearts cost coins and not gems or make gems easier to gain buy making them rewards for completing levels and/or allowing us to watch more ads to gain gems. Currently my game is at a standstill because I don’t have enough gems to buy upgrades to complete the level I’m on and I cannot purchase them with real money. I hope Glu Games sees the numerous reviews that focus on the difficulty to gain gems and resolves this problem fast as I and many others want to continue to enjoy this game.

Money Hungry. This game would be a lot of fun if it weren’t for the gem system. The game starts out good but very quickly becomes impossible to win or progress without upgrades, which is fine, except they all cost coins and gems. Gems cost money unless you slowly get them from daily deals. So it gets pretty old pretty fast. I get that you need to make money but there’s probably better ways of doing it then making literally every upgrade cost gems

Best reinvention of the original game. Speaking from a lot of months experience, when i first opened it, I thought, man this isn’t like the original at all. After a few days of playing, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to get the original but I got something even better. More and improved gameplay, scenarios, characters and storyline! It’s a sequel storyline to the original! ‘What happens after Flo’s success in the big cities and she goes back to her hometown?’ I’m hooked! It’s playable without paying for anything. It’s got an ad reward system where players can get gems and coins by watching ads. There’s a limit per day so I only click watch when it offers gems. There’s also a lot of different time-based event games you can play. Similar to how clash of clans has clan games, Diner Dash has Shakes food truck, Grandma’s Thorns (? Can’t remember proper title), VIP challenge that everyone can participate in, and the seasonal events like halloween! Or whatever they choose to do! The more extensive gem reward system (the one that you have to complete surveys) does need work but seeing that I have played extensive hours without having to even click on that option, I’d still give this game a 5/5.

Where is level 17 ??. Love love the game ...... u need to have more options like use coins for upgrades ...... but my biggest issue is when are u going to upgrade or add more levels ..... for over a week I have had it say watch preview for level 17 ..... now I have gone back through my levels again to get 3 stars on every level I’m starting to get board ..... I also now have 21 left over yellow stars is there a reason why we have so many left over

Keeps crashing and a little pricey. I am so addicted to this game but I feel diamonds should be a little easier to collect, otherwise you can’t progress far in the game without it taking forever- unless you’re willing to purchase diamonds.. Also this game has crashed so many times! I had one of each “perk” active and it crashed when I was half way through a level, I then lost the 3 perks, which I wasn’t too happy about and the energy used to play that level.. I was more upset about losing my perks though as without them, I am stuck on the same level! The game, as mentioned, is quite addictive, and I really enjoy playing it other than the crashing issue.

Too difficult and long to get Gems for game upgrades.. Just started playing the game two days ago and I’m already bored and frustrated. The frustrating part is that you’ll need not only coins to upgrade your food and appliances, you also need to get gems for those upgrades. The coins are fine and easy to achieve since you’ll get them from playing each level however the gems are so hard to get!! The best way to get free gems without paying real money is to wait 8 hours for the Daily Deals and “buy” them with your coins. Even the “offers” to get free gems by watching ads are frustrating! They make you answer some dumb quiz and you NEED TO GET 100% RIGHT in order to get the gems. Those quizzes also takes quite a bit of your time as well! It’s so annoying after spending 10-15 mins answering dumb quiz questions and finding out one wrong answer and you get.. NOTHING from it. I actually got an infinity grocery bag from the mailbox that let’s me play for three days. Even with that I’ve lost interest in the game cause I can’t proceed to higher levels without upgrading my food and appliances for the game. No point wasting my time playing. Gonna just delete the app now..

Too many hours lost.... I love this game. It’s my stress relief but requires enough mind power that I don’t feel like a complete doughnut playing it. However, after playing for so long I really dislike this update- why do we need to tap to collect coins and then tap again to clean a room? It’s a completely unnecessary change & causes time delays. And if you’re adapting to that you end up double tapping in levels that don’t require cleaning so you’ve accidentally moved Flo somewhere she doesn’t need to go & waited time.

Disappointing Cash Grab. I am a massive diner dash fan and not against spending SOME money to play games but this version is so disappointing because of the amount of gems you need to upgrade everything. You’re left with no choice but to buy copious amounts of gems because earning them takes forever ( you only win one here and there). The earn free gems option run by Tapjoy is a heap of BS. You never get the gem reward for completing surveys and the ridiculous options of taking stupid quizzes or spending large sums of money on products sold on untrustworthy sites makes me so mad... this is the reason I have deleted other games and is the reason I have now deleted this game. Very disappointing.

Hard to progress without paying.. This is overall a very fun game but the fact that you need so many gems to upgrade your diner and they are so difficult to obtain is frustrating and a bit of a turn off. Also, having a continuous issue where I don’t get actually obtain of the things I get from the daily/weekly deliveries. This week I have earned a 15 minute free play and two upgrades and neither have activated or appeared in my game screen. Seems odd to have the daily deliveries if it’s a show and you don’t actually get anything from it.

Pay to DO ANYTHING. This game seemed like it could be so much fun but it is COMPLETE BULL$H!T! You need to spend money on gems (which I haven’t) to upgrade EVERYTHING.. as a result of me not spending any money I can’t get past chapter three. IM SO DISAPPOINTED! I’m was getting into the game during chapter one, then chapter two was a bit of a struggle then chapter three is impossible to do. You need gems to upgrade meals to make money to pass level, then you need gems to reduce cooking times to get enough meals out on time, then you need gems to upgrade characters to give you more money and hearts.. this game is just build for you to spend money on to buy gems. The people that designed this game need to have a serious rethinking and try to pass the game themselves without spending any money. I dare them to even try. The game is so well designed and everything seems perfect to me I couldn’t fault the design but it is all just a money grab. Read all your reviews creators. EVERYONE IS SAYING THE SAME THING, ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY WITHOUT SPENDING CASH! Doesn’t that mean anything to you when everyone is complaining about the same thing.

Loved the original, hate this one.. I absolutely loved the original and was obsessed with the different “dash” games. I was so excited to see it being revamped. I was so disappointed to see that this follows the typical money grabbing format of making it hard to earn one type of essential (in this case the gems) so you can upgrade items. You need to upgrade items to get through the levels. This wouldn’t bother me so much if we still had access to the original games but I can’t seem to find them. The gems are too hard to get. I spent 30mins on a survey to then not be rewarded at all. I don’t know if it’s cos they changed owners or what but this had such good potential but ended up being exactly the same as all the other games on the market.

ALL ABOUT THEM GEMS. I thoroughly enjoyed this game while reminiscing the OG game which was super addictive. I like the added features to this new version where you can customise the diner and other things but honestly! In order to move forward in the gem you gota buy gems. There’s other ways to get gems for free but it takes way too long. At the rate it takes the get gems, I would probably end up deleting the game and move on to something else. I know most games have in app purchases but this is ridiculous. Honestly wish the app developers would make it easier to acquire gems or remove the whole using gems to upgrade thing. Can’t we just use the coins only? I CANT EVEN UPGRADE MY STOVE TO MAKE COOKING FASTER AND THERES A CLOCK TICKING FOR EACH LEVEL WHICH MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET STARS!

Needs improvement big time. Hi, I recently saw an ad for this game and straight away I downloaded it. I have been i love with the “dash” games for a very long time and wanted to see what this game entails. However, this bad review is on here as I went to go onto the game and it said “this device is not compatible” in which I was confused as my phone is listed as compatible in the description.... I am very confused and sad. Also it only loaded to 31% and did not open the actual gameplay. I please ask that you read this and are able to fix the bug issues that are occurring to players who are unable to access the game. xo

highkey a cash-grabbing disappointment.. Initially, it’s good fun, but once you start getting into it you realise you need gems to upgrade everything in order to beat the levels, obtain stars and progress with the story. this is all well and good, however, it’s almost impossibly to efficiently obtain gems. the only “efficient” way to obtain the necessary gems to upgrade appliances etc. is to pay for them which has completely put me, an judging by other reviews, many others off the game. focus on satisfying the people that play your game before you leech money out of them. Disappointed.

Upgrading is too hard. The gems are too hard to get. The game is fantastic and fun, but clearly designed to push you to spend money. They purposely make upgrades dependent on gems, and make gems very hard to obtain. Then flash their shop in front of you with all the sales options. They even ask if u want to pay money to retry after every lost level. Which i found distasteful. It just took away from the immersive game experience.

Great upgrade to the story, but. I decided to delete after a few days, it got quite frustrating to play. Disappointing. Pros: Great story upgrade! I enjoyed the mini goals to enhance the town decor and buildings. Cons: Too many to want to stay with the game! First, it’s difficult to level up past a certain point. I eventually hit a roadblock of no longer being able to upgrade my kitchen appliances, speed, and value of food purchases all because I needed “gems” - which is a currency in addition to the actual $$ earned from each level. And the 1-at-a-time gems I did manage to collect also needed to be used for other things such as: clothing upgrade, customer level. It’s an imbalanced way to play. The game is also intrusive. When showing me new features or “how you can get more gems by inviting via social media” the prompts won’t let me opt out and instead I have to keep clicking to the point of putting my name in or clicking the social media button. I just close out the game and start over.

Good but buggy. I really like this game but there seems to be quite a few bugs with every update. They are great at solving the issues promptly however this time, the “party on flo” event has started and I am yet to see one “ticket” compared to previous events. There’s also a new power up or something that I’ve been able to buy in the daily deals and win after the daily challenge that I have no idea what it does or where it goes once I win it. I’ve apparently gotten two of these head chef things but no idea where they went or how they work. Please fix this latest bug ASAP as I want to join in on the competition

I love it and yet I hate it. I love this game - always have. But it is way too hard to get the upgrades. I’ve been stuck on chapter 3 for so long because I can’t get the stars because I can’t get the upgrades because it takes so long to get gems. I know you want us to buy them, I get that - but it feels like cheating! I just had a diamond galore or whatever you call it - 15 minutes, 40 groceries, and I got 2 diamonds from 1 level and nothing else until I ran out of groceries and time. That’s not diamonds galore, that diamonds limited...

Gems.. Loved the game but hard to earn gems and and gain stars, wants you to buy more gems or coins. Considering uninstalling this game. Not worth buying or maintaining this game. Now the other problem with stupid game is they only give so many patrons so you can never get to the next star without purchasing gems & stars, 😩 I will give it a few more weeks as I’ve already purchased gems, but watching how they operate, I will be uninstalling the other 3 games of theirs. There are other games worth playing without forking money over all the time. Not happy 😡

Needs improvement. I was so excited to see this new diner dash Game as I have been a diner dash fans for nearly 2 decades now. So u can just imagine how quick I was to d/l to this game...but after playing it I’ve realised that even though everything was designed beautifully & it was ALMOST perfect there was one flaw that got me so frustrated & that was how HARD it was to get a freakin gem! & basically all of the upgrades that u have to do will cost u a gem. & the daily goal - I thought by completing it I expected the reward for completing it would be like 5 gems after all there was like 6 steps I think it was to complete in order to get the gem reward but after quickly completing one tnite all I got from it was one gem. I still love the game which is why I’ve given it a 3 but the gems & also the boost & basically every upgrade u need - doesn’t make it easy to get a gem. Take a look at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant dash & the way they’ve structured gettin boost etc.

I say don’t bother.. The gems aren’t fair, the game is designed that you rely heavily on them in order to update anything. They’re very expensive and can just “disappear” if you’re not aware by using boosts etc that you think you may already have but do not. When playing a level your boosts are automatically selected and you need to unselect them not to use them. I played two episodes and I can’t open the third without winning all the stars in episode 2, however it’s not possible due to the game being timed and the cooking taking so long, you need to buy gems to upgrade your appliances to progress faster. Very boring, don’t play.

Good fun...but...... I’m enjoying the game, thanks developers. However, the game crashes each time it says there’s been some demolition going on, let’s look the part. The game crashes out, you can’t go back, you can’t close it by the cross, so you have to close the entire game. Pity, because I am enjoying it, but it looks like I’ll have to delete it unless there’s a fix. Any suggestions developers??

Love this game!. I mean, I only got this game about 1hr ago, so I can’t REALLY say too much. I’ve read lots of other reviews, and there complaints are all about later on the game. But, for me, one thing that’s annoying me, even one hr in, is the fact that you have to wait to get these little bags that are required to play. I’ve played a different game that requires these kinda things, and you have to spend a LOT of these things to play in those games, but the thing I love about this game, is that you only have to use 10, instead of 30-40 in those other ones, which ALWAYS annoys me. But I think it takes too long for them to load. Like, 1 every minute would probably be good, because then you only have to wait 10 mins till you can keep on playing and having SO much fun! I mean, the only reason why I didn’t give this 5 stars was because of that TINY issue, which is really only a half-star issue, but I can’t DO half stars, so if your reading this game people, please note that your game is awesome, and I’ve already recommended it to about 5 people.

I’m utterly disappointed!. I loved this game to start with. Then realised you always needed gems to upgrade things and the only way you can get gems is to buy them! Why can’t there be the option to just use coins? THEN about a week ago my game kept crashing mid way through a dash and I’d loose my gems, my groceries, my coins and if I was using a perk like flo dash or colour match I’d loose that too. It especially sucked when I was just about to beat the level and it crashed. I contacted the tech help and they didn’t do anything. I got a few refunds from Apple for a couple of purchases but not nearly as much as I spent. NOW the game has completely frozen and I’ve lost EVERYTHING! My chapter progress, my coins, my gems and I was up to the fish shack!!! The game says my ID isn’t recognised and I need to erase and start again. I thought it was an update issue so I updated the app. Nope. I deleted and downloaded again. Nope. All my progress is gone and now the app won’t even open for it. I’m so frustrated, I loved the game but it’s now just been a waste of time, money and energy. DON’T DOWNLOAD!!!

Errors in the game. I’ve been playing this game for a while now and can honestly say have been enjoying it a lot. However, as of late whenever I finish a level, even if I successfully finish the game it still says I was unable to complete the level. It has multiple times now. I have even taken screenshots of it just in case the developers would like to see.

Addictive game. Probably the most addictive game I’ve ever played. The features are incredible and I love how there are so many different challenging levels that you have to pass in order to complete each chapter. The only downfall is how expensive the food prices are and if you run out of time you have an option to buy more time and money or lose your progress on that level. Over all it’s a really great game to play in your free time and if you like addictive games with story lines you’ll love this one!

Tracy. I would love to play this game but unfortunately it won’t load on my apple device even though the game says it is compatible for my iPhone. Very disappointed!! Now you are advertising this game as videos on some of the other games I play and I get to play the mini game but I still can’t play it on my iPhone. I am very angry as I love diner dash and I would love to play this one but unfortunately I can’t even though it says it is compatible to my phone but when I try to downloaded it says it isn’t. I hope this issue gets fixed soon because otherwise I will never play your games again.

Was enjoying however…. Was really enjoying the game then got to Chapter 16 Level 3 on the cruise ship- no matter how many times I win the level ( serve more then 8 customers earn more then minimum stars), celebration at the end with confetti, the level won’t progress to Level 4!! The blue stars don’t get added to my total and it makes me play the same level again!! So frustrating!! I’ve logged in and out restarted multiple times but same error happens. Once bug is fixed will consider coming back and giving higher rating- other then this bug good game.

Love the game but one thing’s annoying. I don’t normally leave reviews but I really like this game and I can feel the creator put a lot of thoughts and work in it so I hope my review will help them improve the game. I like that the levels are a little challenging and that you can upgrade all kinds of different things to help beat them. I also like that the stars can be used to decorate the diner, making it my own style. I don’t mind the wait for the bag/life thingy to refill but the fact that the every upgrade requires diamonds is quite annoying. For a person like me who doesn’t like to pay to play, it’ll take me ages to upgrade and then get all stars in every level, and I’d be given up the game by then. Hope this is helpful. And thank you for the game!

Prepare to hand over your cash.. Rewards only give you one diamond and with every, single, upgrade needing at the very least 2+ diamonds, micro transactions are almost a necessity just to play. You can only watch one ad a day, providing it actually plays an ad. It’s been three days so far and despite not actually watching an ad I’m still receiving a pop up that claims I’ve received all my rewards for that day. I’ve attempted the ‘offers’ mainly just to see if they work but I haven’t received any gems for the questionnaires I completed. I’m sure they’d work if I bought something third party but the whole point of the experiment was to see how effective the offers are. The smallest diamond pack is 20 for 2.99. With one upgrade costing 6+ gems, you’ll get maybe three to four upgrades. Hardly worth your hard earned cash. I really hope they fix the pay to play balance, the game is good, it’s nicely designed, looks nice, nothing has been buggy, for me at least. But the diamond system makes you feel used. It’s a pity.

Patience for reward!. I’ve been playing for over a year and I think it’s great. Patience is needed to collect gems and supplies to progress with item and character upgrades. I haven’t had to spend money on this app and have no trouble upgrading items, equipment or character with the free gems I collect daily. For the other reviews, do you realise you can collect a minimum of 3 gems per day from the daily deals? I don’t think the complaints on the gem and coins are justified. If you can exercise some patient you’ll enjoy the story development and new areas updated monthly. A good past time!

Great Game but Greedy. This game with its different worlds and characters has depth. I like the nostalgia of what I enjoyed playing Diner Dash 10 years ago. You constantly need to upgrade EVERYTHING in order to progress though. Fine, there’s a challenge to earn coins through normal game play. But you also need “supplies” just to play - which you receive one of every 2 minutes (capped at 50) - so you can’t do more than 5 rounds without having to wait or purchase more. Upgrading appliances with gems & coins I can sort of accept as a necessary evil, or at least one that has become the norm in these games. But you also have to upgrade characters, not just on a basic level but again in every new venue. So all in all, you have to pay or wait to earn supplies, gems, coins, stars and hearts that will allow you to keep playing. Oh, and when there’s a special event on - you need to wait to get “lightning bolts”. *eye roll* The makers should definitely choose where to monetize, and not create more and more places where they can. Those who want to pay still will (especially for gems!). But everything else is excessive.

Why do I even have to work this hard for a gem !??. It’s so hard to earn a gem !! It’s designed to make player pay money to buy a gem ! Which is not fair ! Multiple tries to finish a level should earn you a gem, but nope! Every effort takes a gem away! Which frustratingly stalls the game for you ! You can’t upgrade equipment, you can’t get speed service nothing and the level never finished because of this ! It’s a vicious loop !! Also I hate how you get only 4-5 tries per game until the groceries fill up ! It should be unlimited 40 mins at least !!! Doing it without any gems makes it harder anyways !

Having loading issues - PLEASE HELP ASAP!. I’ve played diner dash for a few years now I’m up to level 763 and I have been mostly happy with it - but tonight after the new update I have had an issue with loading into the game. I’ve signed on and my daily box shuffle pops up as soon as I go into my game this is normally fine but there is a mission where it wants me to help Skillet dig for something and is glitching so the box shuffle and the mission join together asking me to help skillet while having the boxes still in the background and I can not click on anything so I’m stuck on one page. I really hope you can help me. If you are able to I will change my review straight away 👍 thank you for your time.

Forced to Buy Gems or Fail. It’s a real shame that they’ve set the game up so you have to get a set amount of coins in a single sitting rather than accumulating coins to earn the star/s you need. This almost forces you to buy gems to upgrade your equipment given it’s hard to earn them. In addition, you need 10 groceries to play/replay a level each time meaning you run out of groceries pretty quickly with nothing to show for your efforts. Downloaded and deleted within 24 hours because of this. Would download again if they reconsidered this aspect of the game.

Are you KIDDING me?!!!!!. I’ve been playing this effing game for almost 2 effing years on a daily basis! I’ve build up almost reflexes on the commands and stuff. And you CHANGED the command sequence???!!!!! You know what I’m talking about! Are you trying to get me to quit?!!!! I know it sounds ridiculous to care about such teeny minuscule stuff, but this teeny stuff is driving me crazy for the past 15 mins! Why on EARTH would you do that?!!!!!!

Needs improvement with gems. This game is amazing to play and I so love the different style of the graphics and the animations and everything. Upgrades are good and all but the problem is with gems... the only way to upgrade your equipment and food as well as building relationships with people is by spending gems along with money but obtaining gems is so hard. Unless you’re are willing to spend money (which I won’t ever do) you can’t really get gems unless you do the daily challenges and what not but even then it takes too long. Please make gems much easier to collect to get rid of them entirely and only have money to use for upgrades.

Latest update ruins the game. These guys are getting greedier by the minute and destroying the game play in the process. The game is fun but it’s littered with tricks to trap you in the game, share your data or enforce you to spend real $. The latest update throws up random ads as your about to start a level - fair enough - but it DOESN’T PAUSE THE GAMEPLAY. So you watch the ad and find the level sitting there with 30 seconds of the 90 seconds already gone… you may have used boosts or your last life, but GOOD LUCK to you to finish the level with 2/3rds of the time. Poorly designed.

Money grab. I’ve been a fan of the Diner Dash series ever since the original game was released. However, this latest version has fallen into the app-trap of feeling like a huge money grab. Upgrades needed to complete levels cannot be earned without gems, which are painfully slow to collect without spending real money. Optional spending in games should be used for aesthetic choices, not as a way to force players to continue levels. The balance in this game is way-off. The game-mechanics are good and it’s fun to play the levels (when all the correct upgrades are in place), but the greed behind the game feels almost palpable.

Waste of time and money. It was good at the start until you had to start paying real money to be able to get stars to build up the town. Unless you have boosts or upgrade your food/grill prices and the time it’s prepared (which you also have to have diamonds for that you also have to BUY as well, or wait each day to receive one free one from watching an ad) it’s almost impossible to get to the next level. If you don’t make it to another star you have an option of paying $2.99 just to finish the level. Waste of time and money. Would NOT recommend on downloading.

Not that good. Slow.. This game looks good, but I found it is so slow to play. The timer to get you energy is ridiculously slow. I can play for 5 minutes then have to wait for the power to recharge 30 minutes. I can opt to do their additional offers, surveys, sign up to subscriptions to get extra power. But that’s not something I want to do. Nor do I want to spend $100 to get miracle cream to earn 200 gems. What ever happened to just being able to pay a little bit of $$ to get rid of ads. This is exactly the type of game I delete in less than 30 minutes of downloading.

Love it. I really love this game; very addictive. Even my son loves it. Although every so often it does glitch, however the support team are always quick to help and fix the issue. Although at the moment it won’t let me open the game. It keeps saying “ could not establish an internet connection “, and it says restart. It never restarts and it’s just an endless loop

Canman169. Yay

Freezes. Games fun but it freezes all the time!! Super annoying

Wanted to play a game from my childhood. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I tried my best to play it and got as far as the 2nd chapter. (Lvl 24) SO MANY MICRO-TRANSACTIONS AND UNNECESSARY POPUPS. The timer is incredibly unrealistic to meet, and once you fail a level they bombard you with “want to purchase more diamonds to continue?”. This developer did a terrible and tasteless job. Nearly impossible to continue the game without buying anything. Not worth anybody’s time.

Game. It ok but takes too much to get blue stars and on everything along with coins to get have the coins barely get blue stars and is fun til run out of it when play five time and have to wait. Why would it not be use same til can’t be able pass or something game over too quick not worth Worst way to play game unlike others just to collect coins that’s it time time others stuff it depends to gain on the game even for the energy of the customer always need blue stars I wouldn’t give one star it won’t let be send

Just about money.. It can be fun but is very money oriented. You can’t get any where without making in game purchases. Rigged to make you lose so you spend more money. You can’t play without power ups. You will never get any where.

This game has really gone downhill.. The game is constantly shutting down so I’m having to restart more than I can actually play. The game itself has gotten more repetitive and boring not to mention much more difficult to move through levels. I’m giving it one more chance then I’m deleting it.

Love the game but way to many adds. I love this game I would actually pay to download it if there were not any adds. The adds started on this game as an option to get gems. Now I randomly get adds all the time even in game play. It’s becoming so annoying that I don’t want to play anymore.

Needs some improvements. The switching to different places is slow.

Even though I like this game.... I’ve been finding that there are a lot more ads now and they pop up and waste “free”time earned. It used to be you watched ads to earn supplies or gems but now they just pop up randomly. It’s really annoying. And for the stupidest games that are never as advertised.

A SCAM. You can only make it so far into the game until you have to start buying gems. And the cost is way too high for it’s worth!! The Dash games used to be so good. Now they’re just a money grab 🤦‍♀️

Really?. The fact that it is pay to win/ pay to play absolutely infuriates me. I will not be forced to BUY anything just to win a match. Spend 8-10$ just to buy a few power ups so I can win a level? Absolutely not. Will not be playing again ruined for me. Thanks I guess

Connection Issues. Love this app play it basically everyday. But the last week I’ve had nothing but connection issues and it’s starting to get upsetting. THE AMOUNT OF GEMS GALORES GONE TO WASTE BECAUSE OF THESE ISSUES!! Atleast a good hours worth.

Used to be but greed ruined. I used to play this game a lot. But now it has so many ads, it is unplayable. RIP

So many ads with December 2022 update.. Newest update has so many ads. Terrible experience. Was a great game.

Ads make the game crash. Super fun game. But ads were introduced in the last little bit. I still continued playing the game as the ads were tolerable. But now it’s impossible to exit out of ads without restarting the game. Very disappointing. Please get this fixed. :/

This keeps crashing!!. Why all of a sudden is the game not working? I keep getting a message saying that your servers aren’t working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my app. I’ve reset my phone. My phone is updated, and the problem keeps happening. I’m super frustrated with this. Can you please fix it and I will change my star rating!!

Impossible. This game is impossible to play without constantly paying $$$ for gems in order to upgrade and move on to the next level. Such a disappointment as it is such a fun game and older iterations were not like this! I’m not paying a crap- load of money to play this. Come on this is pure greed making a once great game garbage.

Cute. A great way to spend a little time winding down. Love the little personalities

Enjoyable yet disappointing. I am a huge fan of the game Diner Dash! I was excited to get started on the new fresh version of it! Well.....was I soon disappointed!! Firstly, they give you 50 free lives and it takes 10 each round that is set on a timer for a minute and 45 seconds. So needless to say you go through the lives in 10 minutes. To replenish you get 1 life every 2 minutes!! 😫 Secondly...GEMS!! You need gems for everything! To conquer each level and do all the fixings you need GEMS! They give you very little free gems. If you want to proceed with the game be aware, you will be making plenty of purchases! Thirdly.... I think it’s sad that greed plays a factor and spoils it. I hope you address the problem as it’s better to have people enjoying your game and making a few purchases rather than uninstalling and leaving unsatisfying comments.

Annoying ads. This was the best game ever up to your last game update. You ruined it with ads in betwen the levels and having to watch an ad in order to get a gift from the mailbox that was before free. My rating of this game was 5, i had no complaints at all, and you just ruined everything with the latest update. Now it’s the same as all the other games with annoying ads. Instead of making this game better you made it worse

Good but glitchy. I love this game but it is soooooo glitchy sometimes. If it wasn’t for that it would be 5 stars

Glitched fix thanks. Thanks for fixing the glitch the games great

Love. Loveeee

Enough with the pre-level ads!. I’m fine with watching ads to gain things, but the introduction of ads randomly appearing at the start of a level is very disruptive and highly annoying. I’d pay for an actual full game, but sadly the days of getting an actual game instead of an advert dispensing game seems to be long gone.

Needs improvement. Game is fun to play but it crashes and freezes a lot, tried on both iPhone and iPad and both had same issues.

fun. ir soo dun

Pretty good. I love this game, and I would definitely play this all day but i wish we had more energy.

Game freezing. Great game. Entertaining enough, but when playing the trucks for a 2 day live event, the extended play CONTINUOUSLY FREEZES! To add to that, the player looses the play, the amount of coins collected and any new standing in the ranks. Super annoying. This go around my game has already froze 4 times!!! Not cool. Fix the freaking problem. Good thing it’s just a game.

Good but freezes. Its fun but the random levels I’m on are freezing. The Christmas level is always messing up and I can’t complete the level at all. Please fix this.

What is this. I thought I was downloading diner dash and this is not it !!! It’s no where close to the original game. Where’s Flo ????

What happened to Diner Dash?!. I used to play this game on the computer and I’m sad to find that the phone version pales in comparison...the added storyline is such a distraction and they’ve taken out much of the original game play.

It’s good. It is okay but there is not enough tables to match the customers

Too many crashes. Game was great but now it keeps crashing. You finish a level and it crashes and then you have to keep repeating the same level. Very frustrating.

Fun game..sometimes. This game has so many bugs lately. Ever since they added the ads before you play (which makes you lose time so you lose the level). And the only way to not have those ads is to spend $3 minimum. Well I always get the No connection, error so why would I pay when it has trouble connecting on wifi or data and I lose all the groceries for nothing? I have told the dev team and they say they are looking into it and then give me 10 gems. How about taking out the 5-10 second ads and making the game work properly?

Glitching. With the introduction of random ads my game is now glitching. Instead of loading the ads the game doesn’t load properly. I’m trying to do the granny game and instead of going to the next level after completing one, the game crashes and puts me back to level 8. Very frustrating.

App continues to crash. App is crashing more and more lately. Now it will load, then get to 97% and crash

Annoyed. This game used to be fun now it’s all ads. Spending way too much time on ads than game itself will be deleting it :(

Enjoy the game, but.... I really enjoy this game, and it’s one I can easily play for a while without getting bored (as long as I still have enough energy). However, since the latest update, it’s been crashing on me after only a level or two. Super annoying

Has potential. The game concept is great and the graphics are engaging. Its easy to gain energy to play as there are different ways of winning free plays. However, gaining diamonds to upgrade equipment is nearly impossible. All of the upgrades need money and diamonds. Without upgrades the levels are impossible to beat. I really enjoyed the original Diner Dash game and had great hopes for this version. I deleted the game after a few days playing because it was impossible to make progress through the levels without purchasing diamonds with actual currency.

App constantly crashes. I love this game! However, over a year ago, it stated crashing all the time. I deleted and reinstalled it several times as instructed by Apple, and it has gotten worse. I sincerely hope the developer will fix whatever is going on with this game so that I can return with a 5 star rating.

Disappointed. Disappointed buy something they charged me and it disappeared

Hidden Evil. I loved Diner Dash on a computer and could even become fairly addicted, but this version had many disappointments. It would appear to be an innocent game, rated for age 4, but the adds would be soft porn. I was appalled at this. Then at Halloween they wanted you to collect witches cauldrons, so I took a break for that month. Now, I cannot go onto the next level without having my fortune read. Why do they have to put witchcraft into what was an innocent and super fun game?! At this point I knew I couldn’t play it anymore because I will not support this witchcraft.

Diner Dash Adventure. Fun at first but boring when you’ve completed all the levels. Graphics are subpar…can’t tell what the food is…it all looks like mush. Not much challenge unless you pay. The only consistency to this game is that it crashes regularly, with several daily messages of the server being down.

Fun game. I like that it takes so long to play without paying money. It actually keeps me interested and it’s sort of like “long term fun”, instead of instant gratification. But I’m older so perhaps i have the patience for that. The only thing that i would like to be able to do is zoom out to see the whole neighbourhood at a glance, and then you can zoom in on where you want to go. It would be nice to see all of my designs in a map view.

Crashing. Always crashing now…constantly, for days now. Can’t play anymore.

Constant crashes and bugs. I used to love this game, but for the last year or so, every time they do a new update, it constantly crashes or fails to load. It usually takes at least a week or two for them to fix the issue, and then a couple weeks later, they add a new restaurant/quest and the issues start all over again. So basically, the game is great around the third week of every month, but for the other three weeks, you’ll be restarting it constantly.

Les points. Le jeu est super mais la seule chose que je trouve plate c’est quand y manque juste 1 coeur ou 1$ pour passer à l’étape suivant. Jtrouve ça un peu n’importe quoi.

Too many ads. I loved this game and play nearly on a daily basis, but the new update with all the mid roll ads make the game infuriating to try to play.

Addicting game. Fun, addicting game- the only thing I would add would be to turn off the fireworks at the end of every level (or the ability to skip it).

Amazing game, dumb store.. As someone who grew up playing and loving diner dash, this game is fantastic. But the amount of gems required to upgrade items at a certain point gets ridiculous. If it costs that much, there should be a much simpler way to earn gems in game rather than purchasing- unfair money grab really. Make it cost more coins and 1-2 gems, max 3 to upgrade food items, customers, kitchen equipment and whatever else, then it would be worth 5stars.

Please fix glitches.... Edit: lowered to 2 stars because I had finally completed a level in Just Cruise Inn where I had to use 2 boosts to get my 3 hearts and I lose my heart so I don’t get my starfish because your servers went down!!!! So that’s now 3 boosts I’ve lost due to game glitches. UGH!!!! I was really loving this game, playing it almost every night. That is until this week after having built up most of the beach: every time I got a pop-up to watch an add to earn either gems or bags of ingredients, it would either do nothing when I clicked on yes or the ad would start, freeze and then go to a black screen where I had to close out the game and reopen it in order to keep playing. Today the game just started closing whenever it wanted, like in the middle of a game where I used a rainbow match boost which is now lost because I had to start that game all over again. Not sure what’s going on but please fix this game! I don’t enjoy any of my other games as much as I had this one!

Fun expensive game. This game has the fun of the originals but is just as costly for you to get up graded items you need coins and gems. You do not get gems at a reasonable rate so you are forced to buy them or not finish a level with high scores. I just downloaded this game today and spent two dollars on gems just so I can have faster cooking times. This is the reason why I stopped playing the other versions I couldn’t get a high score without expensive upgrades. I do not see this lasting long on my game play. There are other games you can play and spend money on where when the level ends you are not asked to spend an extra two dollars to get thirty seconds more time added to you clock so you can possibly earn another star. Update: it’s been about a week and I’m deleting this game today because of the sheer frustration of not being able to pass a level without spending actual money to maybe pass just to be hit with the exact same problem with the next level, this is not fun or entertaining to me in the least. There are other frustrating games that cost far less of real money or are actually free unless you want upgrade. Don’t do this to yourself.

Too hard — need more free gems. I’m a big fan of Restaurant Dash and have been playing that game for well over a year. It’s a great game that lets me progress through each chapter/restaurant/level without using real money. Some levels are challenging but doesn’t feel impossible and if I can frustrated, I can always come back later or go to another chapter/restaurant. That game has kept me interesting playing daily without fail. This Dash Adventure has a lot of potential BUUUT now that I’m at the end of Chapter 2, it’s getting crazy hard. You need lots of gems in order to complete some of these levels orrr you can spend hours replaying the same level and hope that you get lucky. I agree with the other reviewer who suggested an option to watch ads in exchange for free gems. It’s good to keep your players interested with challenging levels but when you make games too hard, people will eventually give up on the game altogether. I don’t wanna delete this game! But I will if the gems continue to be a problem.

VIP CHALLENGE SUGGESTION-to make game more challenging.. I had a quick suggestion I want to share while I am playing the game. First off, I love it it brings me constant satisfaction because of all the rewards I get and the sense of accomplishment. However, the VIP challenges (specifically, in regards to possible experimentation); the VIP challenges aren't challenges enough for me anymore. I’d suggest the great idea of giving Flo the freedom “accidentally” serve wrong customers if we tap their table with the wrong order. I often make that mistake because I’m moving too fast and it would be more challenging if I had to refrain from that. For example , If Flo brings lemonade to a table that didn’t ask for it, she would loose tips. I think we’d really see what a mess we are in a rush hour. This is would be a good idea for VIP challenges. Tell me what you think.

Great concept, but not really “free”. As many of the other reviewers state, I love diner dash and I love the idea of rebuilding the town similar to homescapes. I hate the candy crush type games so I was excited to have a different style of how to earn the stars, however it’s becoming impossible. Again, like many reviews state you pretty much can’t win without spending real cash. Whether you’re buying gems for upgrades or boosters or even supplies to keep playing there’s almost no way around it. The timed levels really aren’t very fun first off (I much prefer the ones that just require a certain amount of coins or hearts with no time limit), and they are nearly impossible without upgrades and boosters which are rare to come by unless you spend money. There are options to earn free gems but they’re a total joke. They’re so scammy feeling and even if you complete it I have yet to actually receive my reward. It keeps saying it’ll come to my mailbox but it’s been over 12 hours now and still nothing. I wouldn’t mind having to watch ads to get gems or boosters but I can’t justify spending real money on an app I’m using to kill time.

Enjoying much more. My previous issues with a lack of gems offered was eased a bit as I progressed in the game. There are many more opportunities to obtain gems if you play regularly, though I still don’t use or really like the idea of the gems-for-spam model of filling out surveys and stuff. One request I have for the main game is to show our top scores for the levels at each venue (like what’s my high score for level 3-7. Also to mark on the upgrade shop what levels the item is used in, if it’s an item that will be replaced later (like the hot towels and the pineapple drink). How do we know if the Game of Thorns special event upgrade items will be reused in upcoming events? I’m assuming they will no longer be Halloween themed after Halloween, but do you regularly change every month or few months? Do upgrade purchases carry over event to event until the theme changes? Do the streaks reset when the theme changes also or once I hit a 5 streak will it stay until I miss an event? Thanks!!

Love diner dash, however.... I’ve played diner dash since the beginning on my pc and got super excited when I saw it was available on my mobile phone. However, this version is ridiculous. I don’t mind the change in animation or the upgrading stuff similar to Gardenscapes. What I do mind is how difficult it got within an hour of gameplay. I’m only finishing up chapter 3 and I've gone through all of my boosters and then some. I hate using boosters but gameplay is literally impossible without them. And if you don't have boosters then you have to pay or keep trying at the lesser difficult levels to try and earn money and achievements to get boosters. Upgrading the diner and neighborhood is nearly impossible without gems which only come around once in a Blue Moon or if again, you pay. This is ridiculous. I don't need to spend my real cash on fake gems and upgrades to a fictional neighborhood. I love diner dash but I’ll stick to my free versions if something doesn't change. Please switch to using only coins for kitchen upgrades at the very least.

Ehh. I love this game I’m on it 25/8. It’s amazing. Keeps you interested that’s the best part but there all some down falls. One the diamond situation, I understand like any game it’ll give you options to win free diamonds. On this games you have offers that you can go through that offer a certain amount of diamonds for a task, but sometimes you don’t get the diamonds right away or at all. I’ve done a hand full of task for diamonds and still haven’t received them. Of course it doesn’t keep me from playing but it’s pretty frustrating for it to say you’ll receive your ad rewards in the mail and never get them. Another thing is the grandma play for her area, why is it that we have to get the certain amount of coins to retrieve the coins? That makes a person not want to play which I no longer care for that extra activity. Other than that so far so good but you can’t do much updates on the things you need to help you when the levels without .... DIAMONDS. -Raye

Don’t download if you value time. This is my first diner dash game and from what I’ve seen others say of the series is that the games are great and amazing! But we’re not talking about those sadly. This is DASH adventures the cash grabbing game ;D! No fr tho it’s game is one of the perfect examples of play to play and a spit in the face to the rest of the franchises good name. I see how many 5 stars this has and I have to ask were they all are? Oh who am I kidding knowing how this game is they probably ain’t even real reviews! Was flo bought by mr bigs because whenever you fail the level she slaps you with need more time and unlike other cash grabs who have the decency to let you use coins for more time this asks you to pay 1.99 for 30 seconds and 11 diamonds. Also the npc personality is terrible this isn't something I'm docking stars for but the puns need to be dialed back. The main reason i gave 2 stars is for the game itself without the pay to play you have yourself a great game. all in all i would NEVER recommend this greedy game to anyone less than financially stable

Meh. Now I LOVE diner dash games. I also love games that I can make an area the way I want it. And when I saw these two were mixed together I was super happy. I started playing and was enjoying how the graphics were and how the game play was too. The only thing I was honestly getting annoyed with is that from the VERY BEGINNING I needed to spend gems. In other games I don’t need to spend gems on maybe one or two upgrades but this one I need to spend gems on every. Single. Upgrade. I don’t even get one free or anything it’s as soon as you upgrade your first food item it wants 1 gem and them 2 gems and so on and so forth. Its SUPER EASY to get coins but gems are awful! I either have to spend money to get them or wait until I few levels in and upgrade people and I get one gem when I need two gems to upgrade. This game could be amazing but you need to either do something for people who have bills to pay and not enough to ALWAYS put money into this game. Or lose people. Because until an update or something is made I’m totally done playing :/

Enjoyable, but beware of updates. This game is a lot of fun. I really like how they add new levels of play. However, it seems like whenever there is an update, it crashes more and doesn’t give you credit for the ‘bonuses’ you’ve used that round. I even used a 24 hour of free play from my ‘mailbox’, just yesterday, and it didn’t even apply it... so now it’s gone and I didn’t get the free play. I can’t tell you how many ‘bonuses’ I’ve lost because of glitches or the game locking up. It also seems like the items cost the same, yet now when you play, you don’t get as much money or diamonds... making it very difficult to level up characters and items. I use to look forward to playing this game several times throughout the day, now it’s getting frustrating and I only play a couple times a day. Ok... I’ve now payed $10,000 for a piñata and it shows I have one... but won’t give it to me, and now I just ‘earned’ a piñata in this new challenge and it once again DID NOT GIVE IT TO ME!!! This is REALLY really starting to get frustrating!!

What is Super Chef Boost?. I’m utterly confused. I’ve been playing this version of the game for quite some time. It wasn’t until the last update that this “Super Chef Boost” has come along. Sometimes it comes up in the daily offers but mostly it shows in the daily challenges. There’s never been a notification or newsletter at least announcing what it was and how it’s suppose to be used. Clearly it’s a bug. I see the name and what it should look like but I cannot use it because you cannot indicate the location of it. I’m assuming if it’s a boost it would be lined up with the other 3 boosts. Please fix the bug. Luckily I can refresh the daily challenge to get another, but this is not the first time I’ve had to refresh it for another option. Besides this, the game is pretty great. Wish there was a free play option against other players like arena style so for people like me, who finish the chapters rather quickly, can still have fun with the game outside of the mini game options provided.

More and More Disappointed. I have been playing this game for almost 2 years (almost since it initially came out). I continued playing it because I liked the storylines and characters in the game, but they have just made it impossible if you don’t spend money in the app. Really disappointed how the direction of the game went. You used to be able to get by and unlock everything by playing every day for the daily rewards and grinding for coins and power ups. Now there is a “premium” system for events that makes it that people who pay for it every month get more turns to play levels and exclusive items that you need to complete sections of the town; otherwise, you have obvious blank spaces. This also means that people who don’t pay literally can’t compete with people paying premium, so you’ll never get high enough on leaderboards to get event rewards. The game is also constantly glitching because of the constant updates for the monthly events. The good thing is that the customer service regarding bugs and glitches is responsive and helps to correct these issues.

Ruined by Greed. This is a fantastic game. The gameplay is fun, no doubt! However, it’s ruined by the game’s greed to take your money. It is nearly impossible to advance without a boatload of patience and the willpower to resist buying “gems” so you can progress. It seems like every upgrade requires gems, but it’s impossible to beat levels and progress without upgrading. You either have to wait a day or two to get 3-4 gems so you can make a minor upgrade and progress only 1 or 2 levels, or you buy the gems to make the upgrades. It’s a classic “freemium” game design. You find out very early in the game that one cannot progress without gems. This game does not hide the fact that its prey is your wallet. It automatically uses your power-ups even if you do not select them. You have to unselect the power ups when you get them or it will use them. It’s obvious they’re trying to get you to buy more and more. It’s a FUN game. I love it. But the inability to play and progress without spending money ruins it. So that’s why I’m deleting it.

I don’t write reviews often.. So far I enjoy this game, and have been playing it for a few days very often. I originally rated it 4 starts. But I have an issue with there being no way to make upgrades without spending money. You need gems to upgrade. Also your options to get free gems is not free at all. Once you get to chapter 3 you hit an impasse where you can’t get the starts you need without upgrades and you can’t upgrade without gems. I’m gonna keep playing I’m on day 4 of this game. I did spend 10$ on gems and they went rather quickly. Also just started chapter 4 and I can’t get past round one of level four without making upgrades and have no gems. I really don’t wanna spend more money to progress and there’s no way to progress further but then again there is always tomorrow. I usually give a game two weeks with out progressions then I delete it but this is happening on day four. But the colors and design and great other than that I really enjoy the game, but without being able to progress it’s just not gonna last for me. Thanks for your time if you’ve read this.

Fun but expensive in the long run. I’m have been a fan of diner dash and wedding dash since I was a kid playing on the computer. I used to love the challenging levels and the pace everything was perfect. You had to work for the 3 stars but it was possible This game made me feel all types of nostalgia and its mixed with the landscaping theme of fixing up the city BUT.... it is impossible to get all 3 stars on each level without a fully upgraded multiple appliances and menu items. This is not possible without stars which you must earn at a slow pace. Eventually if you wanna get through the stages you will have to pay. This is disappointing because I would rather pay 10 dollars and buy the old game or pay for this app and be able to play the whole game than being forced to pay or to never level up. But it seems this is where the game industry is going. As much money as they can get they will take. It’s not about how strategic you are it’s about how many diamonds you can get and spend.

Garbage!. I hope this is the last game I waste my time and data downloading as it’s so dead set on you spending money to progress I haven’t been able to win no more than one game a day if that because I refuse to spend my money on a game that literally don’t let me get nowhere without spending money. Upgrades and boosters to improve gameplay is a joke! It don’t help none whatsoever. On a couple of occasions I’ve won boosters but this cheating money hungry game didn’t even give them to me. Boosters and upgrades is super expensive and NOT worth the price they want you to pay. An besides that would be super crazy if I purchased these things the upgrades and boosters I have won and used did absolutely NOTHING to improve gameplay are you kidding me?! At this point the four and five star ratings to me is very questionable, exaggerated, or they must be rich and don’t mind blowing money on this type of game where money is the motivation and they will go to any length to get it. Time to give this one the business and delete I have better things to do with my money! 🙄✋🏼💯‼️

Fun. It’s really fun and not as hard as other time management games, but that is only if you pay to upgrade which I do. I imagine if you didn’t spend a dime it would take forever to get earn the stars to complete the tasks. If you don’t mind taking ages to progress then great. That frustrates me so I choose to pay to upgrade characters and appliances etc. My biggest complaint with this game is it crashes constantly. I have to exit out and restart, but I will say I have never lost my place. I did have one issue with customer service. I was playing a limited time challenge and had an issue. They responded quickly but essentially called me a liar, twice. I was not too pleased about that especially since I spend money in their game. I doubt it would cost them anything to have given me what I needed, especially since I had paid for it already. So now I don’t play any of their limited time challenges. Bummer.

Really like this game but.... I have been playing this game for a bit and I really enjoy it. The levels are fun and some can be quite challenging. One of the great things about this game is that every 7 hours you are given the opportunity to accumulate gems and boosts for free. You also can meet challenges within the levels that reward you with coins, gems or boosts. I do, however, have a problem with the mini challenge “Game of Thorns.” I have been playing and successfully completing levels and I never was allowed to go beyond level 7. Even though I successfully completed the level again and again. It was extremely frustrating because I steadily fell down in the rankings when I should have been near the top. Like I stated earlier, this is a fun and challenging game, but the developers need to fix the glitches and compensate the folks that are effected by the glitches.

Would be fun if it wasn’t so limited. Cooking and time management games are my absolute favorite. I grew up playing Diner Dash OG on my moms PC when I was like 10. I just don’t like how games went from free online play to “wait 2 hours to get 50 points so you can play 5 levels.” I would even pay 8 or 9 or 19 dollars for a game upfront if it meant I could have free play. There are great games out there like Burger Shop 2 that are free play, no restrictions. I just like that better. There used to be a Cooking Dash called Thrills and Spills and I think I paid 6 or so dollars for it up front and played as much as I wanted. Those types of game formats just work better for me. With two small kids, I don’t have much time for myself so playing games after they go to bed is kind of my outlet. But if I can only play 5 levels before I run out of “energy points” then that just isn’t a practical format for me. It’s just disappointing because I grew up on these games and can no longer play them like I used to. I would love to see at least one or two old school versions of Diner Dash and Cooking Dash available.

Fun but a cash grab. This game is fun, especially for those who love the diner dash original game. However, this is a huge cash grab. You cannot play a level without giving “groceries”, you have to wait for groceries to load or you can buy them. Some levels cannot be beat without some sort of upgrade, which is great BUT upgrades take coins AND gems. Gems are earned very slowly or they can be bought. Seeing the pattern? In order to enjoy the game and play whenever you want to, some kind of purchase needs to be made. That takes all the fun out of the game. Another thing, it’s glitchy. It freezes in the middle of levels (happened twice during one sitting) and takes your groceries, coins or gems spent without returning them or allowing you to continue what you were doing before. I know they added more ways to get gems but it is still just a cash cow app. Cannot fully enjoy the game because half of the time, something isn’t allowing me to play.

Excellent Customer Service. I have been a long time gamer of the Diner Dash brand and games since they originally came out. I have played and enjoyed all of their versions including this particular one. Recently I encountered some minor glitches here and there which resulted in losing out on gems and coins. Initially I didn’t report the issue, however after it happened a few times, I decided to reach out to customer service and my experience was amazing! My customer care representative Esmund was very prompt in responding to my concerns and really took the time to listen to what my issues were and immediately resolved them. I am very pleased to have invested my “TIME” in playing a game with a company who actually listens to their customers. Thank you Esmund and the Diner Dash staff for such an immediate resolution! I would definitely enjoy this game a lot more knowing that there is a good team behind curtain! Diner Dash Gamer for life! Xoxo Vee

Fun game & storyline, cute artwork and animations. I have been playing at least a year. I love the little town and many things have animations if you tap them. There are several types opportunities to earn diamonds and other things such as quick customers and super speed. They also occasionally gift diamonds etc to you so keep an eye open in the offers section! The game has evolved to have a variety of games to play which keeps it interesting. I enjoy watching the different storylines play out. The developers put in a lot of work. So many items and animations in the town have their own sounds and some animate and have sounds when you tap them and are so detailed! I recommend giving it a try. It isn’t a game where you can just speed through and finish. It’s more fun to be patient and enjoy all it has to offer. Very entertaining!

Not receiving earned diamonds :(. Fun game, but frustrating when you don’t receive your earned diamonds. I’ve been a fan since the orig. Diner Dash game. Once again, it has a storyline that keeps you intrigued - plus rebuilding the town! Easily gets you addicted to complete the next renovation. But, For some reason after completing levels that indicate you will receive “x” amount of diamonds for each star, I didn’t receive any diamonds - only the star(s) & coins. Diamonds are necessary to move forward in the game. There is no way you can compete certain levels without necessary upgrades, no matter how good you are at time management & strategy. This is very unfair, especially to those that are big fans/new fans & love the concept of the game but can’t afford to keep up - especially when you’ve earned the diamonds to progress! This also forces you to deplete your boosts. I don’t mind spending cash on a fun game, but this is becoming more of a money pit than fun!

Not getting my rewards. I’ve been playing this game for a while now and I pay to get the secret menu every month. I also pay to get gems so I can upgrade my equipment so I can have a better chance to get high scores in events like the food truck and game of thrones. For the last couple of months (since august if not earlier) have had issues getting my rewards after the event ends. The only notification I get is that the event has ended but I can not find the leader board and I know just before the event ended I was in the top three so I should be getting a reward. The most recent was the game of thrones event that ended today (10/6). I have also been having issues with the food truck events when the game just restarts in the middle of the level and I lose my progress and the boosters that I was using (it seems other people have been having the same issue according to other reviews that I have read). I thought with new updates these problems would be fixed but it hasn’t. It is completely unfair and these issues need to be fixed.

Love this game but basically impossible to win.. I’ve always loved Diner dash, I’ve been playing it since I was pretty young. When I saw that they came out with a new version I was on board with it. Downloaded the game and instantly fell in love with it. I play it all the time. The annoying part is how many diamonds you need for everything. I’m not a person to spend money on games because I should be able to earn diamonds enough by saving them up. But everything requires diamonds. You can only buy some like twice a day, and you only get one or two. You can beat levels without upgrading the people, the equipment and the food. I did some of those surveys to try and earn diamonds, I didn’t even receive like half of the diamonds I should of. Also if you read the requirements for the surveys some of them you have to earn a 100% and they’re pretty hard questions. Some of them you have to subscribe to companies and that’s just not worth it to me. Hopefully the right people will read this and it will change.

Pretty cool game. I’m enjoying this game and I love that it’s free but there are a couple of things I would change. One is that you have to use up your groceries every time, even when you reach the goal. I think you should be allowed to continue on in the game for as long as you can, if you are completing goals and earning stars and you should only have to use the groceries when you fail the level. Many times now I’ve had to quit playing because I ran out of groceries and not due to not completing the level and it’s very discouraging. Another thing is the lack of ways to earn gems. Without gems, you can’t upgrade the equipment or customers so it leaves you stuck not being able to earn stars for 7-8 hours at a time. The commercials are a nuisance and clog up the cache on my phone so I try to limit how many of those I watch in a day.

So fun... but I’m stuck.. I’m absolutely addicted to this game! It’s hard enough that I have to keep trying the levels but it doesn’t get boring, and it’s so nostalgic. I love it. The problem is here: I’ve hit chapter 4 and completed every level with two stars, which took me several days to achieve because getting two stars is impossible without boosts, which are hard to come by. However, to progress further in the game I need to earn the third star on some levels. I know this will be impossible, because I’ve tried some levels dozens of times just to get the 2 stars. I don’t have gems for upgrades. The only way to get through this is to buy it, and I’m not willing to do that. Which is just depressing because I don’t want to have to give this game up, but it’s physically impossible for me to continue playing it. Update: After days of playing, I have finally gotten to Chapter 5... and it is BORING. The hotel format doesn’t work for me. Hope we go back to the diner soon

Unplayable if you’re broke. I was really excited for a new Diner Dash since they still haven’t “finished” the original app version. But its like they took the difficulties and annoyances of both Cooking Dash and Diner Dash and turned them up by 20 in this new game. It’s a strange new layout that you have to get used to, but it gets pretty hard and doesn’t even give itself a chance to become fun to play before you’re not able to get anymore stars and progress in the game. I got stuck on season(?) 2 and its seems impossible to get more gems so you can upgrade (kind of like in Cooking Dash, except the gold “farming” in that game isn’t that bad). And its not like they give you that many hand outs on gems either. So basically if you’re constantly broke/ living paycheck to paycheck like me, you wont be able to play this game. I’ll keep it to see if they’ll update it to make it more playable for poor people, which I doubt it, so it might just be deleted. I do not recommend unless you’re willing to spend a lot of undeserved money on this game, because what’s a free game if you have to pay to play.

Fun, but mostly a scam. I enjoy playing this game, but it’s not one that’s very playable if you want free game play. Everything costs lots of “gems” which you earn very rarely, making forward progress in the game much more challenging than similar games of this type. There are “offers” to earn more gems but they are scams and do not earn gems as promised. I’ve completed 7 offers, but I’ve only actually gotten the rewards for one of them. This is clearly a common problem that the game makers are happy to ignore, as every question in the FAQ section of the game centers around offers not paying out. Supposedly you can submit “proof” of completing an offer, but unless you spent money on an offer, there is no proof. The sum result of all of these fake offers is the feeling that the game is out to scam you, which makes it so much less fun to play. I’d be happy to spend 15 minutes completing offers if they’d pay out as promised. Until the game makers care to create legitimate offers, I’d highly recommend avoiding that temptation completely.

Misleading advertisement. I’m in my 40’s and prefer the old original version of Diner Dash. This version prevents you from playing freely. Without paying money it’s not far you can get in this game. The cook, Cookie, is extremely slow. You need gems to earn more boosters, but the free gems they say you can earn is false. I have taken surveys, provided my email, clicked ads, clicked links and the only thing I gained was 15 mins of wasted time and 1 gem. The game states receiving 13 gems for the survey. After several attempts of completing surveys and other free offers I give up. Now I have to go to my email and unsubscribe to all this crap this game tricked me into ordering without the benefits of receiving my rewards. Also, I don’t like the fact they automatically select your boosters for you. If you give me booster or if I pay for them it should be allowed to click and select when I choose to use them. If I’m not paying attention and just hit the play button all my boosters are gone within minutes. Very sneaky on the game part. I was looking to have a little fun, but this game is not worth the headache of the fun.

Prepare to play the same level for DAYS. This game has a great idea... combine the loved game of diner dash with home improvement. Graphics are great, and I enjoy the concept of leveling up customers..... however this game has a major, major flaw. You need diamonds for everything. This isn’t the problem... most free to play games require some type of purchase to make the game easier or progress passed a certain score threshold. I expect this and have no issue shelling out a little cash or watching a ton of ads to support the game. This diner dash is just downright greedy. The amount of diamonds needed to progress would be well over the $20 mark- outrageous. On top of that, it looks like updates to the game for more levels or events are far and few between. If you choose not to spend an outrageous amount to buy gems, you are left playing the same level for days... maybe weeks until you can either earn enough gems from the free store. Once you do, expect maybe 5 minutes of game time before you are stuck for another week. Sadly this is one diner dash I am extremely disappointed in.

Fun, but can be expensive. I love the game. It’s a lot of fun and love the different levels within levels. The bonus levels are great. The only downside is it can get confusing on how, when, and how many gems you are getting for completing a level. I beat a level and it shows me 2 full stars, one with 2 gems and the other with 3 gems. But it only gives me 1 gem. I think it should be easier to earn gems since that is how most things get updated with. I think the tutorial should be way better!!!!! It would be great to understand what each icon is used for and how to earn them etc. example the shopping bag, Gems, etc. Other than having to pay in order to keep going up, the game is fun. It’s nice you can go back to levels you got 1 or 2 stars on and replay them to try for 3 stars. This game entertains me for hours.

Great game, but money greedy company ruined it. This is a great throw back to the original game that I loved. It was beautifully redone. I love fixing up the city and designing my restaurant. However, instead of leaving an amazing game alone, they had to add micro transaction over kill to ruin the game. About 5 levels in, it is physically impossible to continue without using diamonds (in game real currency). The goal is to earn a certain amount of money each level. All the food has set prices. Plus you earn tips for speed. You can up these prices, but it requires diamonds to do so. The goal becomes impossible to reach without upping the prices or using a level boost (which you only have a limited amount of). While the game makes it somewhat easy to earn diamonds for free, winning the game isn’t based on your strategy or skill, but how many adds you watch. I don’t mind watching an add to play a free game, or paying for the app upfront, but when you make winning the game dependent on adds or cash, it’s not really a game anymore.

Has become a money grab. I have been playing this game for several years now, but lately I have become quite disappointed. The season restaurants (that are churned out monthly) no longer have any unique design, are homogenous and expensive. EVERYTHING requires diamonds at a large amount and I have forked out mucho dinero. The temporary foods/equipment in the side games ALSO require diamonds. I have accumulated thousands of sunflowers and starfish from playing them and I think they should be what is used toward upgrading those items, not more diamonds that will require you to spend money just to get through. All-in-all, the game can be a money pit and the designers are not trying to make anything unique any longer. Also, it is near impossible to contact the company and get a response to enquiries. Also: The most recent updated (Jan) is quite glitchy. Shiver & Game of Thorns crashes after every level, at times making me replay I level I had just completed. This is going on three days now, and the developers have yet to rectify it.

Disappointed. NEVER have I written a review for a game. Why? Because it’s a game, but I am very disappointed with how this game has gone since I have grown to love it over the past couple of years. I have had this game for nearly two years, and the updates have ruined it. I’ve spent a pretty penny due to being impatient and wanting to advance to the next level, get stars, finish storylines, within the time limit, be on top of the leaderboard, etc…. But lately it’s been obnoxiously hard to do so without spending even more. Almost all my levels are maxed out on upgrades and it’s still impossible to reach stars, having to use “boosters” to even proceed to next level. There are new storylines released with every update (almost once a month) that require you to spend money to get through, constantly having to upgrade “new dish” to proceed to next level. Beginning to think it’s more of a rip off than a game. Super disappointed with how the game has progressed. If it continues, I will delete and take my money elsewhere. Used to be really fun and would spend hours playing (LAME I KNOW), but it was a stress reliever, and now it’s just a stressor. 🥲🥲🥲

Definitely not “Free-to-Play”. I’ll start this review out by saying this.... IT’S NOT THAT IT’S A BAD GAME. The issue is that this developer has let greed get in the way. Most f2p games have it set up in a way that allows to to play the game without having to spend money. This one? Well, they make it seem that way until you get to the “feed the birds” mission. There’s no way to get past this mission without boosts. If you don’t have boosts? You have to purchase them. As a fan of the classic games, I wanted so much to enjoy this but this one falls flat on its face and puts greed above fun. Maybe some of you don’t mind spending at least $50 on a mobile game. Mobile is the ONLY place developers are allowed to push crap out like this. Not on consoles and not on PC. Many of you won’t know what I’m talking about when I say Warframe is the pinnacle of f2p. Any f2p developer should most certainly look to them when making their games. At a minimum, developers should want to. MOST developers hate to hear something negative about their game. MOST developers try to keeps players engaged. The review that I’m leaving..... I’m not alone. This developer doesn’t care. They’re content with their greed. I’ll call this game what it is.... a demo.

Practically Pay to Play.... I’ve loved Diner Dash eversince I was a child. The game has turned from a simple concept to what it is now: a mobile game with generic mobile game “art style” that feeds on micro transactions where you can’t complete a level without buying ems with your real money. This game used to be an unlimited number of plays where you can buy your boosts with your efforts within the game. Now everything is monetized. I am currently in a level and no matter how perfectly I play, I get the SAME score and it doesn’t build up the the amount of stars I need to progress. In order to progress, I have to spend actual money to get more gems to use on stupid small upgrades to characters, machines, and recipes otherwise I will be in a standstill like I am now. Since I refuse to spend a dime on mobile games, I have to rely on getting gems and coins through daily log ins which isn’t much to further upgrade anyway. So I am back to square one. I don’t see this getting fixed, so I’ll just play Diner Dash 2 on my computer and leave this alone. Sad to see another classic ruined by capitalism.

Very excessive micro transactions. I wanted to like this game. I played Diner Dash for DS as a kid and loved it. But the micro-transactions and six different currencies in the game made it quickly turn sour. The most prevalent currency is the gems. Gems are required for food and equipment upgrades, which in turn are required after a certain point in order to progress in the levels. One way to get gems, often one or two at a time, is by watching ads or getting daily gifts. Otherwise, gems are $5 for 55, and upgrades cost at least 5 gems at a time. After every completed level you’re offered an upgrade. You do the math. Just to test out how much these purchases were needed to make the game fun, I bought the $3 beginner pack with about 40 gems, and some of the other currencies. I was able to enjoy the game for about 3 hours before I ran out of gems. again, do the math… I just wish the game wasn’t like this. It could be so fun if it wasn’t so money hungry.

Awesome game, greedy developer.. I’m very disappointed in this recent update to the food truck event. First you take away a lot of the upgrades and food I already purchased. Then you drop the lives down to 5 per refill. This alone made the cost of refill crazy and makes having to buy new food and upgrades not worth it. You use to spend 11 gems total for the first two refills and this would get you 20 lives. Now you spend 8 gems for the first two refills and only get 10 lives! After the free lives and 2 refills you could play 30 times. Now you only get 15 lives. Yet you have to spend all new money. And to top it off before the update you could get daily goals filled no matter where you played in the game. Now you can only fill the truck goals while playing in the truck. Forcing you to buy more lives if you want to complete them. I find this very greedy, even from a game that was already extremely greedy. Too bad. This use to be my favorite game and food truck was one of the parts I looked forward to the most.

LOVE THE GAME, HATE THE WAY IT’S RAN. I owned all of the Dash games for my PC years ago and I was so excited when this was released. I started playing the day that it was released in the App Store and I absolutely adore it. However, things have been changing lately and not for the better. We’ve had major glitches that have caused us not to receive our tournament prizes. Many of us spent a great deal of actual money to play in them and received either nothing or a small compensation that wasn’t even close to the same value. But what really takes the cake is what I learned today. Apparently the developers make some of us pay different amounts than others. To receive 5 extra level for the daily levels (ex: Bon Nyappétit levels this month) used to cost $1000 in DDA cash. Out of nowhere, they began charging me 10 diamonds for this instead. That’s terrible but what’s worse is that some people aren’t being charged at all! They’re picking and choosing who has to pay actual money to play and who doesn’t. I’ve spent a ton of real money on this game so I assume that’s why they’re making me pay. Like they think I can afford to pay since I spend money anyways. That’s ridiculous. It should be the same price across the board. This game is getting very expensive and the developers are getting greedy. Charge every player the same amount!!!

Reviews have valid points. I love diner dash games, hotel dash, etc. I was so excited to see this new game and downloaded it excited to play. I will say that other reviewers have valid points. It is a slow process to earn gems and they are very much required, often in large quantities, to do many many necessary things in this game. It also isn’t a quick process to earn coins. Earning stars is the main goal as that’s how you repair and upgrade things in town. However, that is my main issue. I have played several levels where I earn stars and they’re not awarded. Sometimes I’ll earn two or three stars but will only be given one or two. There are times I earn only one and still do not receive it. With no issues with my connection this is frustrating. I do miss the older style of these games where your ability to chain commands together in rapid succession is what helps you the most. This game is more about what you have than what you can do. But I still like it, just fix the issues.

As a fan, I’m highly disappointed. To start, this is the most money hungry version of Diner Dash I’ve ever played. I’ve never seen so many attempts to encourage players to spend money. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve spent A LOT of money already, more than I should’ve and sometimes that was just to get pass a level. You could be doing everything perfect and still; sometimes you don’t get enough customers, they take FOREVER TO EAT, in order to make a certain amount of money or hearts your CUSTOMERS have to be UPGRADED, equipment has to be updated, the freakin TOWN needs updating. CATASTROPHE! MONEY MONEY MONEY cause if you aren’t spending it, you aren't getting very far in this game. Majority of this game runs on gems and guess how you get those?????$$$$$$$$$$$ and before the team comments “we'll pass it along to the team”, try actually doing something about it. The daily logins and rewards blah blah ISN'T ENOUGH. I’m a player that doesn’t spend money if I don’t have to and the game is MAD EASY. It just costs too much to actually get through it. Anybody who says this isn’t pay to play is NOT a fan and don’t know **** about Diner Dash obviously

Diamond issue. I loved diner dash when I was a kid. This diner dash is a lot different than the original. Some of the changes are good while others make the game painful to play. One of my biggest issues with the game is that you need diamonds to upgrade your diner and the diamonds are near impossible to get it seems. I would happily watch ads for diamonds, but they don’t even offer that. You can do polls for diamonds, but I never receive the diamonds after doing them. So it’s just a waste of my time to even try doing those. I do like the game itself, but it does take a long time to advance without paying. Update: I’m now lowering my rating of this game because of the fact that it uses my boosts without me clicking on them! I’ve lost all my boost to easy levels because I didn’t realize it automatically uses any boost I own. I collected all those boosts painstakingly and they are all gone. The games too annoying to play lately and the updates don’t seem to make it better.

My game is back!! Thank you!!!. Ok so let me start off by saying I love this ridiculously addictive game!! I’ve had the game for a few years now and have always loved it!! But after a certain point along the story the game went into an infinite mode where you were no longer able to see a level list, and it randomly chooses the levels for you. I wasn’t the greatest fan of this at all!! I like to be able to play the venue and level of my choice and continue to upgrade that same venue to help me progress through the levels. I continued to play tho, because as I said this game is ADDICTIVE!! And then we were graced with this latest update!!! Thank you for my game back!!!! You still have infinite mode through the story line, but you can now unlock the restaurants on Restaurant Row and upgrade them as you play through the levels!! My option to go back to a level is back and I LOVE IT!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!

Fun and free if you know what you’re doing.. Let me start off by saying this, you DONT have to spend money to play this game. The game gives you free gems every eight hours, you earn them doing daily goals, and if you have the time you can do some surveys and earn more. It always rewards you with free boosts and gems just by opening the game everyday. Second this game isn’t meant to be finished in one sitting, it’s meant to be played in short bursts. Yes you have to upgrade your equipment, your customers and food to progress through the game but that’s part of the challenge. Who or what do you upgrade? What upgrades will maximize your stars? Yes as the chapters progress it does get harder and will require more coins and gems but with proper management of that and your boosts you can still progress smoothly. I been playing for about a month and currently finishing up chapter 24 and haven’t spent any real money on this game.

Disappointed. I have always been a fan of Diner Dash and was really excited to see a new game had come out. It started off a lot like the classic but with better graphics and more modern, which I was excited for. After playing for about the past hour, I’m disappointed. I can’t even finish a level without paying $2!!!! Not only that, the options that I obviously have to pay for in order to run this game to be actually playable is constantly in my face which just ruins the gaming entirely for me. On top of that, if I was actually just playing the game, the characters are ridiculously annoying. Making the goons seem out of it and a little stupid, okay, but everyone else in the town, including Cookie and Rosie as well....really? I more so enjoyed when Cookie and Flo were partners. This game had a lot of potential, but I’m a poor college student who was excited for an old classic I used to play on the computer to be playable on my phone and more modernized and upgraded, but I instead feel like I’m being used for a quick buck and not valued. You might as well be Mr. Big. I’m upset and disappointed and sad to say I’ll be deleting this app from my phone.

Glitchy Garbage. This game could be fun if it wasn’t full of glitches. Constant connection errors despite being connect to WiFi, which I double checked was was working properly. All other apps working fine, except this pile of trash. I couldn’t even get the game to download the updates, just to start playing, I had to restart and then force quit and finally after several tries it downloaded. I should have deleted it then and there but I wanted to give it a fair chance. I started playing and barely made it to level 10 when I encountered more of the connection errors. This time it cost me a boost. And speaking of boosts, they are always automatically used unless you uncheck it which is a terrible idiotic design. Default should be no boost used. Anyway got a message said I “lost connection” right after I finished a level. Did not get the coins or the stars for finishing the game but used up a boost. Makes no sense, but it doesn’t matter because I deleted this pathetic botched glitch fest and good riddance. Stay away from this game, stay away from Glu. They used to be a good game company but clearly not anymore.

Expensive trap. I love the diner dash series and I have played it since I was little. I love the combination of a story line and renovating ur way to success... but this version of the game corners you into buying items for upgrades. In order to progress through the game effectively you have to upgrade your kitchen and products to the top notch. Except you barely need the coins you earn in levels to purchase said upgrades. Instead, you need gems, and these gems aren’t earned during the gameplay. You might earn one or two in a daily bonus or something, and maybe more than that periodically but the game is positioned to where you need bunches of them for every upgrade. With that being said, I’m currently gridlocked in the game. The need for speed is essential and there is no other way than to buy your own gems to get you through levels. Unfortunately there is no way for me to play the game and enjoy it now without using my own money.

Needs to work on a few things, but it’s a good game.. I recently downloaded this game because I love the diner dash series. The play is nice and fast paced, good graphics and fun levels. But the game has some serious low points. Like many others have stated, the diamond situation is ridiculous. You have almost no way for players to earn diamonds yet you make every upgrade use them. Also the upgrades are not that significant for the diamonds it requires to purchase the upgrade. Another of my big pet peeves is when a game automatically selects my bonuses for me. I have gone through many of my bonus items because the game feels that I need to use them. It becomes very redundant and time consuming to unclick ALL of your specials before you play a level so that you can use the specials when they are actually needed. At this moment the games frustrates me more than anything, so it has become a back burner game, rather than one that would enjoy playing daily.
