This is great!. I’m still in high school and we had to do this stupid leaf project. We had to identify the leaves and find there ecosystem. Leaves and I just don’t jive. This app really helped me. Not only did it tell me the name and species, it also gave me the website address to find more information. I would highly recommend this app!!!!

Forgot about my Hydragea. I love this app because a couple of years ago I bought a hydrangea and life happened and I didn’t get it planted. It just stayed in the pot I bought it in and I forgot about it. Where it was it never got sun so it stayed dormant. I moved that pot the other week and it got sun and started to grow pretty big so I downloaded this app to find out what it was? It came straight up with hydrangea and I remembered!!!!!! Thank you because I would have thrown it away! That was $30 you saved me!!!!

So far, so good.... I just downloaded the app and was able to upload a foto from my library and it identified a plant I saw this morning on our walk by the Hudson River. I am very happy because it performed the function without offering me a 7-day ‘free’ trial for $7.99 😁 It just did it! Time will tell. But so far, it’s excellent!

Iplant. This website is so great. I have a new old house with many plants I cannot identify. I just point and shoot and upload and get the name and corresponding details in less than a minute. Very exciting and better than book or web search with no name or picture. Am recommending it highly to others. Thanks !

Accurate and fun!. I'm constantly photigrsphying pretty flowers and always forget the name of the flower after I walk away. This app let's me snap a photo and I can refer back to it with the same photo anytime I wish! Super accurate and super fun...great job, developers!

Easy way to find a Plant. I have a big yard and occasionally a “new plant” appears that I did not plant. With this app I can take a picture, upload it and identify the mystery “gift” in my Yard. I can then determine does it stay or does it go. So easy!!!

Possibly bad luck..... I downloaded the iplant app to assist in identifying unknown plants and identifying the names of plants I couldn’t remember. I’ve had the app about two months and both times I’ve used it, it’s been a bust! Most recently, I photographed a neighbor’s plant. I knew what it should be, but couldn’t remember the name. I wanted a quick reference without having to search Google. The answer was a Titi Monkey! There definitely was no monkey in the bush! (My photo had excellent resolution and was by no means blurry!) So, I did my Google search for “fruits with many seeds”. Pomegranate was the plant / fruit I was searching for! Really, a Titi Monkey???!!!! Accuracy should / needs to be better! I’ll give it just one more try! Three strikes and you’re out!

Highly unreliable app!!!. I wanted to identify a couple of plants that I regularly see in my jogging track. I downloaded this app for the same. However, before I used it for the purpose, I wanted to test it. So, just to check how accurate this was I tried it on the basil plant. To my utter surprise, the app told me it is Arabic jasmine!!! I wanted to give it another chance. Same plant, the best guess the app could make was “house plant” really??? My kids are eager to test it more on the plants in our backyard to see what names the SMART app is going to come up with for the ones even they can name perfectly 😃

Good app. Take a picture and it gives suggestions for what plant it is. Sometimes it seems to be off on its suggestions but mostly helpful, you need cell service while using it.

Dendrobium. I have a great many of these growing in my yard all over the place, but I never knew the name of it! And now, because of your website, I finally know what it is! Thanks for being there for us! You are the greatest!

Orchid Searches. Navigation is very good once familiar with what’s expected to get information. Only just started using the app and surprisingly found it could identify insects on the target plant of interest. IE, It was a Monarch Butterfly on the target flower. Further it can miss ID a target plant. So, once an item is identified, I go on line to see if the flower or orchid I’m going to name & post on FAA matches or is close enough to say it’s in that family. RexLM

Pretty cool!. I literally picked a random picture from my phone that was blurry and uploaded it and it identified it correctly! I already knew what type it was but wanted to see how good this app was right out the gate. I am pleasantly surprised at how fast and accurate it was, especially for being free!

That was disappointing. I snapped a picture of a moss of some kind. Said it was a tree. A conifer common to the western US. Okay I can see that a little bit maybe. Except I’m not in the western US and this is a bit smaller. Second snap was a bit of lichen. Said it was igneous rock. Well, maybe it was on igneous rock. Still disappointing but maybe it just doesn’t do fungi. Fine. So my third pic is a fern. Says it is a bryophyte. Not much detail plus it goes with the first pic. Fourth pic... same fern. This time it identifies... a fern. Okay. Fifth pic is a little round, pink fuzz ball of a flower on a thorny vine. It identifies a thistle native to Mediterranean countries. I’m in Alabama and I’m fairly certain this isn’t a thistle. 0 for 5 guys. Guess I’ll keep looking for the app I need.

Chrysanthemum I’d. Thank you. Wasn’t certain what I planted past few years. This was great help in deciding where to transplant. I had numerous unlabeled seeds which I just threw out on ground last year now all kind of plants are awakening.

Inaccurate results. I really was looking forward to using this app since there are a number of plants I’d like to identify in my yard and the adjacent woods. Unfortunately, while using this app first in a different location (Dutchess County, NY), I learned quickly that it was misidentifying both plants and trees. Some results gave me plants found only in Australia and Southern Asia and the southern U.S. not extending north to New York. To confirm my discovery, I took a picture of a sugar maple (actually marked as a sugar maple at my location) and this app said it was an oak. That’s when I knew this app is not at all accurate or reliable.

So terrible.... I’ve been looking for a reliable app that can identify plants for hiking or yard work. I tried this one because it was rated so highly. I tried 5 pictures, 4 of tomato plants that I’m growing and 1 of poison ivy. I was told the tomato was holly, fern, a greenhouse, and another plant I cannot recall. The poison ivy was identified as botany, which technically isn’t wrong. The pictures ranged from entire shot of the whole plant to boka close ups of the leaf. I wouldn’t trust this app to identify common invasive species much less as important as using it for a hiking tool.

Now I know. Someone told me about a plant ID app that was out there. Found this one in the App Store and can’t believe how fast and accurate it has been so far. I plan on doing further testing at a local nursery to check accuracy. So far, so good around my neighborhood.

Fun to learn the plants. It has been fun to discover what a plant is instead of just wondering. God has created such a beautiful world with so many interesting plants. I’m enjoying getting to identify some of them!

Don’t believe the hype. I loaded the app in order to identify a small flower on a large leafy plant. Because it has so many stars I thought that it would work well. That was not the experience that I had. It identified the small white flower as a garden rose and I know without a doubt that it is not. That, I could forgive if I could tell it no, try again. However, it was more or less like ‘take it or leave it’. Highly disappointed. I didn’t even have it for an hour and it is already deleted.

Fantastic app. Don’t miss out on this app. I’ve just now begun my fascination with flowers and trees (at 40) and I must say this app has been a gem at helping me identify them. I take a picture and look them up with the app when I have time.

Great App. I love, love, love this app! I’ve been wondering for 12 years what kind of bush I have in my backyard. I came across this app earlier this year, found the same bush somewhere else, snapped a picture and identified it within one minute. So user-friendly and easy to use! You can use pictures out of your photo library or take a pic on the spot.

Third Times’s Charm. Three free plant identification apps one correct answer- iplant wins. Added bonus- it was quick and I didn’t have to navigate through multiple business development questions to get an answer. Well done iplant- Great UX.

To my surprise it really worked. I’ve enjoyed using the app it’s easy it makes mistakes but they’re so funny it makes it more enjoyable; for the most part it’s been very helpful. I’m glad I download it and use the app; thank you for this app

Thank you for this app. I'm so glad to have downloaded this app. I bought a home with different plants/flowers and I sometimes don't know what species it is. I love that fact that I don’t look stupid asking my friends and family so now I use this app and I am ready to answer them when they ask. Thank you!!

Very reliable plant ID Source. I like using iplant because it provides me with a reliable identification of plants growing in my yard and other places. It gives me enough information to make a decision on whether it is a weed I don’t want or something I can replant in a better are of the yard.

Not very useful. I appreciate the simplicity of the app, and that to me the ads aren’t too thick, thank you. Personally, I’d been dying to know what kind of plant was on our hands. Although it did seem to know birch trees, and identified, -um, Korean meat, it was a misclassification as my plant was clearly green, and in no way a tree. I think that this app probably does have a good database, but maybe there’s a better way that things have to be displayed that would be good to know about. I just took a pic of the plant in good lighting, but who knows. The first time, it didn’t identify it- just called my plant ‘Agriculture’- one time, it even identified it as a ‘houseplant’- and it could definitely be, but what’s the type....

Amazing. Just got this app and I love it you don’t have to pay for it and it takes less than a minute to identify the plant highly recommend would purchase again

Great plant and flower identifier. Easy to use, and always conveniently on my phone. This program is able to identify plants quickly and accurately. It makes walking in gardens and in the woods much more enjoyable because the plants you see can be identified. Highly recommend this product.

Great free app!’. Was looking for a help to identify my flowers. Am an avid gardener but can never remember what I planted. I also have a friend who gives me all kinds of flowers and I just stick them in the ground. With this all I do is snap a picture and the app lets me select what I want to identify. Perfect. Just what I was looking for. Took a while to wade thru the costly apps but finally got here. I recommend this to any and everyone whose interested in plant identification.

Great app. Have only used it a couple of times but it’s seems incredibly accurate. It’s fast and easy to use. Being able to identify plants is such a purposeful way to use the net!

So far so good…. I’ve only tried it on one plant so far, but seems to be a lot better than a Plantsnap. They not only give you the common name (unlike PlantSnap) they also give you the family name. With just a tap it will quickly tell you the pest that may be a problem. And of course anything else you might want to know about it.

Great App for the Non-Gardener. Point and shoot, and within minutes, the app sends you a quick summary of what that plant is PLUS a Wikipedia link so that you can learn more. There’s no fee, only an innocuous ad that runs as quickly as the app itself. Other apps charge, so don’t bother with them.

Identifies flowers categorically. I tested about 7 flowers before using and this app identified all but 1. I believed the one in question cld be either ROSE OF SHARON or HOLLYHOCKS depending which part of USA ... very similar in appearances. So I guess 7 for 7 😁used it to identify others plants I saw on my walking trail that I had no clue what they are and it worked

Easy and informative!. We used this app on a nature hike with our 9 & 10 yr old kids to identify flower types, trees, and potential poison ivy (was not). They loved it. Worked easily and was intuitive. Like that it keeps a history of the plant types with photos. Also like that you can upload photos later when not wanting to take the time in the field

The Outstanding plant ID App. Besides being totally intuitive (…not a simple engineered process -that…), and easy to use, this splendid app is completely accurate. Over the past 8 or more years, we’ve used three others; this one satisfies and we’ve been using it for a year or more.

Radish Revealed.. I happened to stumble upon this pretty flowered plant. With it’s 4 pedals looking like a propeller on a speed boat to beauty. At first I had an idea of what it was, as I proceeded going all the way down to the root but not sure I could identify the root. So therefore I started my Quest of pinpointing what it is. I stumbled across this app. It hesitated for a second as if it was me searching through its database to find out and lo and behold there it identified exactly what it was. I like this app. Let us start a journey and document it. Thank you for your creative app to identify plants. Let’s see what I can find out in the future.

It’s like plant ID for dummies.. Bought home in late fall that had many plants finished blooming. In spring, some started budding/blooming but we’re not sure what they were or how to care for them. The iPlant app is very useful and user friendly in helping us determine what we have in our new surroundings and how to care for them. Would recommend to anyone that doesn’t have a green thumb - and to some who think they do.

Need improvement. This is s nice app even though my rating is low. I would give a higher rating if some improvements where made. The biggest issue I have with it is that it usually does not show me the right plant. I normally have to take several photos before I get what I am looking for and even sometimes I never can get it before I run out of photos for the day. If it was more accurate then I would definitely give it 5 stars.

Great app. I have been searching for a way to identify plants I come across without having to pay or have a subscription. I do not do it often, but even once a month is tough if you need to pay for a year. This free app is great! I can enjoy the required ads while I really enjoy the app.

Please just don’t bother.. I had studied horticulture for four years. I majored in greenhouse management and landscape design. I know my plants. I used this to help with the identification of plants given to me and for those I’d find on hiking trails here in Pennsylvania. It’s absolute trash. Was given what I thought to be a type of orchid by a friend, used this to help with identification since the leaves were dry and browning and it had no blooms. Told me it was a “common houseplant”. Um...what? Turned out to be Nepenthes alata or a type of pitcher plant. After multiple attempts using this with my own plants that I already know the names of it was just as worse. This is just completely unreliable.

Not very reliable so far.... Just downloaded the app because I’m curious about something that has appeared in my garden. Tried 5 different plants I have around the house, a total 6 pictures, and it only correctly identified 2. Tried the mystery plant in my garden, once with a leaf and once with a bud, and both were incorrectly identified as large trees. Oh well, the app was free - and it’s fun to play around with. But I still have to figure out what the heck landed in my garden!

Not even close. Might work for “easy” trees but took a photo of a leaf and let it guess. The leaf has a rippled edge, so this app assumed it had pointed edges and guessed a holly tree. Nope not a holly. So I tried again, this time it picked a tree/bush that only grows in the mountains. I’m in Florida, no mountains here. It doesn’t even give other possibilities like similar apps. Just says “it’s this” and that’s the end of it. Can’t even tell it no you are wrong, look again. Have to take another picture. Weak app that needs a lot of work.

Easier than “Picture This”. I have both this and the Picture This apps and I find this one a bit more user friendly. Takes very clear pics and seems to be a little more accurate. That said, I will continue to use both apps as I find plants I want in my garden.

Pretty Darn Accurate. I am at a park in Charlotte & being new to the area I couldn’t identify some of the beautiful vegetation. The app got my first pic wrong, but it’s probably because I didn’t take a good pic. When I tried again it worked and it nailed a type of evergreen I have never seen before! I now know what to plant!!

Now I know - no, I don't. Was really happy to find a name for an unidentified tree in my front yard but since I hadn't heard of the name it came up with I searched Google and found my tree has MANY differences from the one this app came up with 1. Mines a tree, not a compact shrub 2. The flowers are white, not gold - clearly shown in my photo 3. I live in Zone 4 and the shrub named grows in Zones 8 to 11 4. It's not found in the US, it's from Australia. This app needs some serious tweaks, but I'll try it on a few plants that I already know to see if it does better on more common plants.

Low accuracy. I was excited to try out this app. I’ve tested it about a dozen times on flowers I was already familiar with, and unfortunately it only correctly identified one (California Poppies). I was careful to get detailed shots with no background foliage. I was hoping I could use the app instead of carrying around the physical guide I have on local flowers. No dice! Hopefully the app improves, because it’s a fantastic idea, even if it doesn’t really work yet.

What?. I took a picture of my potted succulent. It noticed the table in the background and explained to me what the use of a table was... no joke. So I put a placemat behind the plant to eliminate background distractions and it registered as the pot and explained to me the use of potted plants... I tried again, this time I cut the plant pot out of the photo and just took the placemat behind the plant. It registered the quilted design of the placemat and explained what a quilt was. I’m not even joking. FINALLY I held a notebook behind the plant so it would only have a single colored background. It FINALLY registered that it was a plant but tried to tell me it was an orchid flower?

Has this been hacked?. I don’t know what’s going on with this app but the times I’ve used it over the past month, the results have been a joke, literally. I pulled up a 8 inch tall plant with roots and leaves and took a photo against a black background hoping to get a ballpark idea of it’s ID. The app said it was a twig. I tried several times. I even changed the image a bit. Still a twig. Today I used a photo of what I’m fairly sure is a sumac sapling. It was a flower according to iplant. The image clearly shows stems with compound leaves. I’ve used the app successfully in the past but not recently.

So helpful. This app allows me to help my wife in the gardening to look up all different types of plants to see which will be growing or flowering throughout the year and answer any other great questions that she has because I could kill a rubber tree laugh out loud

A “must” the plant challenged!. Oh absolutely download this app! As in the title, I am plant challenged. While doing a complete change in landscaping, this app has much exceeded my expectations. This app made my work so much easier and I’ve also had friends download it as well. Don’t hesitate!

Very accurate. Gives very accurate ids on any plant.

implant identifier.. Have only just downloaded app so not sure yet. Will review again soon.

Plant identification. Very inaccurate even after several photos.

Looks good so far. Pretty silly to send please rate me when I haven’t used it yet - but it looks pretty

Amazing app!. This app has helped me identify lots of my flora and fauna in my newfound gardening hobby. I had no idea what most of our plants were or what care they needed, now I have stored information and pictures of all! It’s so easy, you just need to take a clear photo of the plant or flower you want to identify, snap, and get results!! 5 stars!

Review. Excellent program thank you . Have been struggling to identify plants etc up to now . Great program ta .

Great, but be warned. Incredible with all of the functions, especially for being free. Doesn’t always get the leaves right, and is annoying with vascular leaves.

Works well. Great for identifying common plants in my area

Awesome. Quite satisfied .. sometimes does give wrong reading but max is accurate..

Easy to use. Handy tool

Awesome app. Right on three money very accurate

Quick and easy. Thank you - I had not marked where I sowed some passion fruit seeds, and the seedlings had grown so well, but I could not recognise the plant. Thank you for the app. It helped a lot!!

Excellent!. I was surprised how quickly this app identified my plant! Easy to use and quick to identify 👍

Not a good app. We took two different photos of a flower which was rather beautiful. App told us both flowers were artificial, we were holding it in our hands and it was very real. Not impressed.

Plaant apps. Correct & informative information

Rik. First plant we tried worked well!

Brilliant. Have used twice and both times spot on!

A great help. This app has been invaluable in helping me ID plants in my Australian backyard.

Struggles to provide anything of use. I have up loaded 6 or more plants an so far it returns generic useless info like Shrub or cash crop Other answers have just been wrong or it may provide different answers for different images of the same Plant

Handy. Love being able to snap a picture and get the name

Terrible. Terrible app, took multiple pictures of plants and everyone has been incorrect... not even close!!! The app also incorrectly tells you that some are artificial. Would not waste your time. If it were possible I would give this app 0 out of 5 stars.

Great and easy app to use. Recommended

Helpful and informative. This app has helped me to identify many plants in my garden and therefore help me to nurture them.

Chinese fringe flower. I am passionate about plants and trees and when I saw this gorgeous tree in Gloucester I had to know what it was. Iplant told me immediately. Thanks iplant

Too slow, too old, and too stupid. This app takes forever to upload/download so would be pretty useless in the field. Used it once and deleted it immediately.

Iplant. Only works with wifi most places we are visiting in the forests & bush on New Zealand don’t have reception! When it works it’s great

Better than some other plant apps. I’ve been testing plant apps and this rated highly. It doesn’t take long to id plant and 8/10 were spot on.

Pretty accurate. Impressed

Great free app. Decent app considering it’s free. Took several minutes to upload but identified the plant.

Amazing App. Could identify flower no-one else could!

Great app. Always works a treat, always spot on, it tells you what it is and information about the plant, and it loads it all super quickly, absolutely no registration and fees required, this surprised me because all of the other plant apps had a free month than you had to pay monthly and you had to put in your personal info in so this is an awesome app and it it definitely worth downloading 😀

Not very accurate. I have tried to use this to identify a number of plants and when I check with google they do not match. It even identified a fern as a lettuce. This app needs a lot of work

Peter. Hi only had the app for a short time it works well I recommend it’s easy to use one of the better ones I tried.

Quality app. Does exactly what it says… thank you!

Iplant works and is free!. It worked to find flowers from just taking a photo to identify what type the flower is. It is free with a small banner ad at the bottom of the screen. I found this app super helpful and convenient!

Awesome App. Helps me to recognise the different plants I am not sure of.

Found my flower. First time user and the app identified the flower first go and provided a heap of information I wasn’t expecting. Good app.

Hard to give a true rating. I haven’t had a chance to find out if the app correctly identified the plant so it’s very hard for give a proper rating and review. I was asked to write a review immediately after identifying the plant.

Very accurate plant identification. Just took a photo of a rare plant and straight away you identified it

Fantastic.. I recommend this app. Does a great job. I’m in the garden industry and it’s helped me so much.

Great app. Most accurate plant app I’ve come across. Well done! 😃

Plants??. Very helpful for identifying different plants you come across and would like to have at home.

Feedback. What a super app. I’ve just moved from Brisbane and this will be a wonderful support to getting to know my new garden. Very much appreciated.

Not specific. I’ve used the app a number of times trying to identify a specific plant but all I get is generic answers for a whole species rather than the individual. Not particularly helpful.

Always accurate. I’ve been really surprised by this app. Almost always accurate in the results it gives, very easy to use and you don’t get a bunch of ads popping up all the time either. So glad it’s free as I’m only using it every now and then when I want to look up an unusual plant I come across. Thank you for developing this!

Quick and easy to use. Good app for quick and easy identification of plants

If you are in to flowers this is an amazing app for you 5 stars. this app is grate for people who are not into flowers and are just curious about the world

Quick and very easy to use. Great app, easy to use with very fast response.

Useful tool for the Amat way gardener. This app has saved me having to identify a plant/flower through the nursery (if they can). It hasn’t missed one yet. Hope to get much more use out of it in the future.

Easy to use.. I uploaded picture, and got result immediately.

Merci, cela m’aide beaucoup. Merci

Hiker. Terrible app. Wrong more times than right!

Easy to use. Quick and easy to use!

Not bad. Pretty good app…wish it was faster

Iplant. Awesome app. Now I know the name of any flower/plant I see around.

Roger that 401. I love this app It works for me all the time

Slow. Slow and sometimes wrong. Otherwise good with right identified plants

iplant. Simple to use and very informative!

Handy while outdoors. works fairly well, few things have been off but overall it is able to identify things. Always outlet check using plant identification guides anything you plan to use for medicine or use as something edible

SIMPLE AND ACCURATE. I initially tried this app on 10 known specific plants, flowers and trees known to me. Accurate every time. Certainly simplified with descriptions included. Recommend downloading

Plante toxique. Ne pas toucher.

Works!. Most of the time anyway! Very helpful

Right On!. The results are correct every time so far!

Easy to use. Have enjoyed using this app. On a motor vehicle trip throughout western Canada used this app to identify plants along the backroads of provinces. Easy to use and quickly gave the names of these plants we had never seen before. Use the app at home to identify unknown plants and flowers. Thanks for the no cost app. Learning lots by using it.

great for what i need. fast enough for me, I don't need it fast but I need it accurate and advertising free. good job for developper!

Identified a purple tomato as eggplant. I wanted to figure out what type of tomato I have. It was identified as an eggplant lol

Plant app. first app that works well.thanks!

Common ragweed. If this app is intended for everyday gardeners ant not master gardeners please speak to us in layman’s language. I don’t need 20 Latin descriptors! I want to know if it’s a weed I should pull out, what the flowers will look like, if it’s going to overrun my garden, if it’s worth keeping etc.if this is only intended for botanical experts, please tell those of us who aren’t not to waste our time.

There are better. Lots of ads. It’s also is very hit and miss on identifying houseplants. I would say it gets it right about half the time. I took three photos of the same plant and got three different results.

Wrong id. Confused a flowering Almond with Hall crabapple

Iplant. I wanted to test it on a plant that I new the name of and I gave me a whole other plant.

not a very good interface face. not a very good interface face

Funniest app. This app has identified a granite counter top, aluminum siding and a flower pot but usually fails to see the plant

Very easy with quick identification. This was very useful in identifying unknown plants in my garden.

Plant. It’s complete crap

Good. Good, but sometimes it is glitchy. Overall very useful app.😊

Easy to use!. Works quite well for a free app. Some annoying app pop ups though.

Seems to work well. As described by Vendor

Great app!. So easy to use and have found it to be 100% accurate so far.

Awesome. Works every time

Good identifications. Thanks

Iplant review. Good app, easy to use and correct most of the time. Lots of ads.

rating. would prefer if App stored previous searches in a file

Terrible text formatting. Cant even read. Terrible text formatting. Cant even read

Mismatches. Tried five different photos of the same plant, got five different wrong mismatches.

Love it. Great app!’

Nope. Tried once, large fungus it identified as “Bullrush”. Not a large sample, but 100% wrong.

Great garden tool. So far so good haven’t found anything I could not identify

Ninebark. Good

A bit slow but works well!. Good little app!

What a help. So much easier determining plants from weeds

Love this App. A great identifying app!

Great. This app has been able to identify all the plants I’ve taken a photo of- unlike other apps I’ve tried.

Flowers. Love it

it's just ok. sometimes it takes a while to get through. depending on the angle of your photo determines the answer you get. doesn’t always give the right answer.

Amaranthus. Got it wrong

Great app. A real treat to easily identify plants.

Often misidentifies. Sometimes this app appears to be quite accurate, yet other times it doesn’t even place the plant anyways near the correct category. Sadly it’s not a reliable identification tool.

Love it. This app is so fun and so cool because no matter where I travel I can pretty much find out what the local plants are and if they’re edible. I highly recommend it

Perfect plant app. I take lots of walks with my dogs and along the way I’m curious as to what plants I encounter. This app is perfect for identifying them. Not only identifying them, but also learning about them as well. If you’re looking for a plant app this is it!

Misdiagnosis. I was just getting ready to purchase this program having been quite satisfied in the past. However the last four or five plants I have tried to identify I have been completely incorrect. So now I am thinking about going with another program.

Plant & Flower ID.. So far, I have been able to use this app with my flower pics and pics on Facebook. I am impressed and look forward to utilizing it a lot in the future as I can capture pics of flowers but do not know what they are. This app is a big help.

IPlant. If you can tolerate the ads that bombard you right away it at least cuts right to the chase and nearly always brings up the right information from the photo. Being the cheapskate I am I can tolerate the ads; these folks need to cover their costs somehow.

Excellent App. I recently took my granddaughter plant shopping She thought she was being helpful by removing all the plant tags and I could not remember what the names of all the plants we purchased Thankfully this app saved the day!

Great app, easy to use. Free version is good enough to identify plants now and then. Recommend upgrade for those who need more features.

It works!. I had several plants that I could not identify. After downloading this app, snapped a pic and in seconds it told what my plant was and gave some info about it, too! So easy!

first time first try. I gave me the right answer quicker and faster the paid app witch I tried 5 times before I tried this once with almost instant results!

First time user. Found the app easy to use. Just be careful as ads will pop up at the beginning. Found that taking time to get read each screen gets results you want. Return information was what I wanted.

It’s ehh. Got asked to do a review without really used the app much! So I’ll give it an ehhh review! My first experience with it! It couldn’t identify the plant! Probably because there was no flower! Maybe design it to identify leaves too? Maybe program it to ask for a review after it’s been opened 30-40 times? Hope this helps with building a better app!

Thank you!. Of the many plant apps...This is by far the best! I already had the picture in my albums I uploaded it to this app and it told me immediately what plaid it was! Doesn’t get much better than that!

Great way to learn Plants. So many times, I didn’t know the names of the flowers I was looking at. I feel like this is an amazing app for people who want to learn more about the plants around us. Thanks for this fabulous App.

👍. I’ve been very happy with this so far. The lady who owned the house before me just planted and planted and except for the fruit trees did not mark anything . I have lots of beautiful plants and flowers and this app has been helpful in identifying them. Thanks

Great App for finding plants and trees. I just moved south and I am coming across plants and trees that I have never seen before. This app is a great tool for me . I found a flowering tree that looked like a lilac but the app found it on the first try as a crepe myrtle. Love it .

Unknown plants. I took 3 pictures of three different flowers one was an oriental lily, stargazer. App came back and told me it was a tiger lily. The second flower, was a tall phlox came back saying it was in the phlox family that was true. Third flower I took a picture of is a complete unknown to me, I took two different pictures and the app gave me two different answers and both answers are wrong.

Best way to learn my plants’ names!. Have always been totally mesmerized by all Heavenly Fathers’s colorful flowers and plants. Hard time trying to remember their names. With this app, I no longer have that problem. Thank y’all!

So far so good!. I’ve used the app a few times now, and it’s been very accurate!! I just moved and I’m trying to find out all the plants I have around me!

Free, easy, fun. I think it’s amazing that an app can use my photo and then give me a good deal of information instantly. I think it might not be as accurate if the photo is not clear enough or too far away, which makes sense.

Wow!. Instantly identified new plant that has come into my collection. Tried googling it by description to no avail. This app got it right away, and I am grateful I can now begin looking into information on how to care for it.

Solved a mystery!. I snapped a photo of a “weed tree” in my flower bed but couldn’t identity it until I downloaded this app. Instantly I learned I had an American Holly coming up through my butterfly bush. Very useful app and very simple to use!

Your guess is better than this app.. This app has not given me a single accurate identification and mostly identifies my house plants literally as “house plant” or “flower pot”. The fact that these are even options in this app’s database is ridiculous, as they are clearly way too generic to be helpful to anyone. The closest identification I managed was for my wandering jew as an orchid. A waste of space on my hard drive, no thanks.

Overwhelmed with plants. We recently moved in a home with over an acre of land with many flower beds. We’ve been trying to find the plants in books but this was taking forever. This app solves the problem! It’s awesome, thanks.

Very cool and extremely helpful!!. It was free and it works well. I just moved to a new house and this app has really helped me to identify the plants on the property. I can now research how to care for or eradicate the exact species of plant I’m working with. I highly recommend it.

Curious?. I have a plant growing almost overnight in my yard and no one could identify. Drinking me crazy! A gal told me about this app. I installed and within 1 MINUTE I knew!! I loveeee this app ! Going to use it for all my garden needs and even when I’m out in the woods! Awesomesauce!

Plant Identifier APP. This is a very accurate APP that lets the user take a picture of the unknown plant and then it searches the database and matches the plant and returns the information back to the user! Wow how nice is this to have right at your finger tips! 5 Stars for sure a “must have” for me!

Probs 2 nite 2 reviews. I really just started using this app. So 3 *** it is. I have enjoyed using Iplant. I haven’t had enough time to use it in depth. Off the top of my head things I would like to do may not fit into the scope of Iplant. That’s how little I've delved into the app. My ideas include cataloging all plants in all the yards surrounding our home, creating landscape and garden plans and a wish list wish list of plants I have observed. Not sure of Iplant’s scope but hope to find out soon. Perhaps if/as I get further along in using the app I will revisit this review process again. 🌿

Found obscure plant immediately!. I was impressed with my first use if this app as it immediately found a name and description of a growing plant I’ve never seen before. Helpful for me as I grow herbs and they can look like weeds in some stages.

Great App. I was pleasantly surprised when I wanted to identify a flower and realized that I had this application. It’s super easy to use. All I had to do was pull up the app, take a picture, and behold, the flower was identified! I highly recommend!!!

So far so good. I’ve only had it a couple of days but it appears to capture the flowers I shoot and looks to give accurate info. Also processes pictures quickly!

Love it!. I wish Ihad found this app years ago. What a joy to know the names of plants around my new home in Charleston South Carolina. We moved here less than a year ago and the yard is filled with beautiful flowers and plants.

Fast and user friendly. I downloaded this because it was free. Didn’t expect much, but wow! It is user friendly and gives results really fast!

Good start-needs work. I am an avid houseplant grower but a few species I wasn’t sure about. I was really hoping this app would help with that but like one of the other comments that tells of the plants being just identified as a “houseplant” is not helpful. Even the plants that are easily identified your program came up as some completely different. Please don’t give up. I think this has really good promise. :-)

Quick and simple!. Wow! This was my first time trying this app to identify a beautiful new plant that I did not place in my own backyard! It was quick and simple. Take a pic, download and get your answer!

Iplant app.. This app. is extremely helpful. I have found this app. to be a necessary addition for plant lovers and herbalist to identify plants growing wild as well as identifying plants in your garden that may harm the growth of needed plants.

Missing pictures. I think the app get about 66% of plants correctly. Some plants that I know that have names sometimes come up as plant or shrub. Noticed that some pictures I took a couple months ago on this app are now missing. Rather frustrating.

ID plants quickly. I’m able to figure out what I want to purchase by going around the city and snapping photos of my favorite plants and how much sun they’re in. It’s great!

Accurate and informational. Although it can’t always identify the plant in the picture, when it does, it’s shockingly accurate. The factoids are a very interesting as well. Definitely would recommend to any naturalist!

Very helpful app.. As an old gardener I use this app almost every day around the property. Many plants I used to treat as unwanted weeds in the garden, now I know they have useful purposes.

Beautiful simple no haste app. No need to grant access to my photo library as with other, similar apps and easy to use. Not sure yet how accurate it is, but so far I am really enjoying it!

iplant. So far the app has identified all the plants I needed to know. They are also a plant nursery, so there’s lots of information about plants, how to grow them and prices if you want to buy them.

Backyard Jungle. I live in SW Florida and my backyard and front yard are all plants , zero lawn. I have been adding more variety for about six years. This app is great for me to identify some of the plant’s that I have forgotten the names of. I wanted to create a plant inventory and this works great!

Wow😮...interesting. This app is amazing! To be able to just take a photo of botanicals, the name and info intelligently identify the plant. Free for their basic app. No annoying ads..just a little bit of bottom pop ups.

Acafelm. It is so convenient having the plant information at my fingertips when I see something I’m curious about. The only issue is this survey requires a nickname and tell are all taken. Very inconvenient.

Rhody. This app asks you to rate it right after you take your first picture. I’m not sure of the accuracy or anything yet so I can’t give a good review. 5 stars for downloading fast and getting right to what I wanted. Lol!!

I plant. Camera worked good on first take got my wild hula hula regular blueberries haven’t taken second picture but could not click on pictures of other ones in their gallery going to try second plant now will let you know on update CDH.

Plant Identification. My sister and I both use your app and have found it to be so helpful. Thank you for making some things in life just a little bit easier.

It was not correct. The plant it recommended doesn’t grow in my area… it doesn’t grow in the states near my area… it did not give me the option to choose an area/climate. It did not give me any options to choose from. Also it is plagued by persistent ads for a different plant identifying app…

IPlant. Great app; easy to load and use. You’ll get pop up ads, but they’re easy to close. I was able to identify two plants that invaded my garden that are toxic to pets.

Very entertaining app - it’s a general ID app.. Loaded the app to identify plants which it doesn’t do very well. When I take three photos of the same leaf, I get three different plants. But then I found something fun. As I was joking that the app would identify the Toyota Highlander in the background, it actually showed it as an SUV! Say what?!!!!!? It try’s to identify everything! Watches, shoes, bottles. I’m going to try it on my dog next!
