Never turns my brain off before fully. I love Balance Meditation/Mindfulness app. I have done 46.5 hours so far. Never have I actually need able to turn off my overactive brain. Not during sleep or yoga or self-meditation. Balance allows me to follow simple instructions & relax when for 49 years on this planet I had not relaxed my brain. Not even as a small child from what I have been told. Ofasu’s guided relaxations & meditations and progressive relaxation finally connected with me 46 hours ago. I just completed the “relax” meditation in which I was able to calm my brain for 10 minutes despite my new chronic pain. Thank goodness I found Balance. My brain & my partner appreciate me finding a way to relax finally. Will do the sleep 1 hour meditation when we get where we are adventuring to tonight as I try to run away from my medical issues & get second opinions. At least my brain can be quieted for 10 minutes. Highly recommend Balance.

Amazing!. I’m writing this review after a week of using balance. I’m just a week I’ve noticed a lot has changed within myself. Not big changes yet but I’m sure with more use that will change. I feel more positive. I also feel more motivated after each meditation. It encourages me to do chores around the house before it becomes a problem vs back then when I let the dishes get ridiculously stacked and the house get really dirty. I’ve used the S.O.S. single about 2 times now. Both times I was crying and feeling so much anxiety and stress. Both times I was having an anxiety attack, and both times I felt better and calm after taking the S.O.S. meditation session. I suffer and yes I do mean suffer, from depression and anxiety. I’m currently also coming off my meds with decreased dosage. This app came at the perfect time. I’ve had high stress due to covid-19 as well. I rarely do anything at the house because I have so little energy and intense mental drainage. Life feels almost impossible at times but thank God this app came into my life because oof I’d be lost without it. I recommend trying it for at least a week and really relying on the singles for a week to get a taste of what this app can do for you. Definitely worth it.

Best app for sleep/anxiety. I’ve been using this app for about 2 months now and my sleep has been better than ever. Was having a lot issues going to sleep due to high anxiety and panic attacks and this app has helped me so much it is now part of my daily routine to meditate every night with Balance. Since using the subscription version, I have begun to branch out to other meditation lessons as well. I love how personalized this app is and how it feels like I’m meditating with someone who actually knows me. I’ve never signed up for a paid version of any app before in my life, so I really feel like this app is worth it. Even if you are not going through a stressful time and just looking for overall well-being, I still recommend it. The only “criticism” I would have is that I prefer the Ofosu voice to the Leah voice and that is not an option for all the single meditations. I would also be interested to see either a single or a meditation plan for burnout recovery.

Life changing app. I started using Balance during COVID and it’s now been three years of using this app daily. I had tried meditating using other apps, mainly Headspace and Calm. I found both overwhelming and the apps were bloated with features. I even had a subscription for free and never used it :/ Balance does such a great job at keeping things simple. You just open the app and can get right to a meditation. I love that there is no decision fatigue because it’s super curated. Leah is the most amazing coach. Her voice is so soothing, but not robotic. She finds the balance between calm and not cheesy. I have completed almost every plan in the app. I wish there were more. I think the app is moving more towards being a sleep support app. The new meditations are only the Individual ones. Those are fine, but I like the plans because they’re a curated set of meditations that compliment and grow from each other. You really feel like you’re accomplishing something with each meditation. My one recommendation to the app designer is to make the meditation intros optional. Please include a SKIP button. There are three or more questions you are required to answer before the meditation even begins and it’s super annoying. Also, there is a transition state after finishing the questions, which claims to be personalizing the meditation. But just close the app and it skips it! Best bug ever. Please keep this! Thank you for making such a wonderful app. Has absolutely been life changing.

I genuinely thought meditation was Nonsense. As someone who never mediated and was uninformed regarding this topic, I couldn’t see how just simply closing your eyes and sitting in silence could have any benefits….And that’s true because it doesn’t, because that’s not what mediation is at all. It’s actually way more layered and complex than I had ever imagined. I was so wrong about all of it. The idea of meditating seemed counter intuitive through the lens of anxiety and adult ADHD, both of which have kept me in constant motion from task to task. So I figured meditating would just increase my anxiety and make me more restless so I made up facts about it to myself and never tried. The barrier to entry is always what makes trying new things hard but for mediation Balance was a seamless and relaxingly simple experience. I started out with only 3 mins a day and instantly felt my stress, anxiety, restlessness dissipate, while my focus and mood improve drastically. Honestly I used to think the only way to feel this kind of relaxation and lowered anxiety was from a few drinks…..it’s great to know there is a much better, healthier and sustainable option. 10/10 I would recommend Balance to everyone and I’ve suggest it to everyone I care about.

The best meditation app. Truly, this app is outstanding. The way I’ve built my meditation practice up from 0 and implement these teaching into everyday life is amazing. You learn and are encouraged to keep going even when you feel like you’re “messing up”. They really know what the pain points are for biking a strong meditation foundation and help you overcome those barriers. Also their rewards system in the app really does keep you engaged. They keep track of your days in a row that you’ve practiced and I can’t tell you how many times I was thinking “ah I’ll skip today” and remembered my streak and didn’t want to break it because I was so proud of how long I had stuck to it. They track your time and progress so you can really see how much work you’ve done! All of the above is just what their foundations plans provide. They have soooo many other meditations for everything you might struggle with like eating, procrastinating, holiday stress you name it. It’s not just the normal “reduce stress and find inner happiness”. They really do it all and I’m so grateful! Whenever I can afford to buy the lifetime membership I will because it’s truly that life altering to me. 💜

Love this App!. I enjoy this app much more than I expected to. I have always stayed away from meditation because I can never turn my brain off and I figured I wouldn’t be able to do it well, but this app has really changed that for me. Ofosu’s voice is so calming, he really helps me to focus on the meditation and I actually look forward to doing it everyday. And the sleep modules are amazing! I have sound machines that I stopped using because the sounds were not good quality, but the choices in this app are stellar. If I had one complaint it would be I wish there were a few more time options on the sleep modules. There’s nothing between 3 hours & 8 hours. 8 hours is a little too long, but I’d like to play it a little longer than 3 hours to see if I can extend my deep sleep (the deep sleep module is my absolute fav!). If you guys could make more time options available, this app would be 10 stars!

From disbelief to a strong advocate for meditation. I never gave meditation techniques a fair try until my personal and professional life recently turned into a mess. Now, I’ll swear by it. Within the first 4-5 lessons and with some self awareness, I have seen my anxiety and stress levels drop significantly, even into the next day during my commute to work. I suffer from racing thoughts at night and have a horrible time falling asleep due to chronic back issues, but the Balance app has helped me drift into a deep sleep with ease. I find myself going to bed earlier and looking forward to the next days’ lesson. There’s also a lot to explore pat sleep and anxiety. I just started another lesson to work through some past trauma. The app also builds your programs and sessions based on the feedback you give it. And for the record, I don’t get paid for reviews. This app seriously has had a very positive impact on my life, and in no time at all. Highly recommend.

1 Year Trial?!. I got this app upon finding a social media ad that said the app was free for the first YEAR. Yeah you heard that right. 1 YEAR! After the 1 year it’s $50. Obviously I was skeptical because as with many trials you think the company’s just hoping you’ll do it for a few days and then forget about it and in the end paying for a full cycle accidentally. Well I’m here to say that the app is AWESOME and for a little more than $4 a month I plan on keeping the app after the year and this is only after 4 days. All the meditations offered is perfect for ANYBODY! Kids, older people, younger people, professionals, ANYBODY! The quickest meditation is 3 minutes and I believe goes up to 10 minutes on some. I find the questions asked on some meditations before and/or after a meditation makes it more like a ‘Choose Your Own Meditation’ adventure. With just a few minutes everyday this app blows every other app for meditation out of the water. Don’t hesitate! Take the 1 year trial before it’s gone!

One of the Best if not the best Mindfulness meditation tool box in the market today!. I couldn’t agree with Jared who also took the words out of my mouth. Although I have been through some formal trading in a grip setting with a Counsler and even have a therapist this app is fantastic. It’s starts you off slow and had me actually pick up on some of the things I missed in my class. They start you off slow and ask you personal questions so that they may build the sessions around you on a personal level. I love that! It’s like a real one one and it keep me wanting more. I retired now at 55 with a full pension with Medical and now I watch a spend time with my grandchildren. But who would have ever thought the rest of my life sound peaches and cream. I suffer from anxiety and stress that I know I bring upon myself which gets me physically and emotionally sick! I can’t watch my grandchildren like that. I have to be wit a sound mind loving and caring and let go and let God. I love this app as it allows me to do just that!!! I Love This Mediation App!. This app is amazing. I’ve been using it for two years now, and it is truly set up just for you you. It will ask you questions and personalize it just for you starting you with a specific plan to help you meet the goals that you said in the beginning with the questions It has many 10 day plans that guide you through help with relaxation for example, it teaches you how to meditate,.has two different voices that you can choose from and mini singles if you want to just meditate for a mid day break, a wake up single just to name a few. It has also added a meditation for how is your day went and you can choose different meditations to go with a great day or and average day etc. I just can’t say enough about this app. It is truly an amazing app that is so personalized just for you. It had truly helped my mind and my body and my stress levels and helps me have mindfulness every single day.

Finally, a meditation app that works for me!. I’ve wanted to build a meditation practice for a long time. After trying numerous apps, I just gave up. I either fell asleep each time or my mind wandered constantly. I just couldn’t get it. When I received an email to try this new Balance app, I thought to myself, “just try one more time.” I’m so glad I did. I now have a streak of 34 days, and find myself taking moments throughout the day to just close my eyes and use the skills I’ve been learning without using the app. It’s changing my life. I pay more attention to what I’m doing. I find that I listen better in conversations. Just an overall improvement in my awareness and peace in general. This app worked for me because it started off with short sessions and easy skills and builds from there. I now find myself wanting to do the longer sessions. I love that this program builds on the success of each session and gives you multiple techniques for your meditation toolkit. Initially, I was disappointed that each meditation didn’t have some soothing spa music. Now I’ve come to welcome the silence because I can really hear myself. This is a fantastic app and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here. Please know that I’ve never written an app review in my life, so this is the highest compliment I can possibly give. Thank you for making meditation so accessible and easy to develop into an everyday practice.

Truly personalized meditation. This is definitely the best personalized meditation app. After trying at least 6 meditation app (like Headspace, Aura, 10% happier, my life, smiling mind), I can say that Balance is the only one that really tracks your improvement in specific skills or meditation techniques. These techniques are introduced to you sequentially and very gradually, so it really helps you to learn them. The personalization of the sessions is at another level. With the other apps they typically check with you how you’re feeling and keep track of this in some sort of journal, but Balance uses that information, plus additional more specific information related to how comfortable you’re feeling with the new techniques, your level for each skill, among others, to create truly personalized sessions. This really helps you to grow in the different meditation techniques. Another difference between Balance and other meditation apps, is that Balance offers quality over quantity. The other apps have literally hundreds of sessions that may overwhelm you if you are a novice at meditation. With Balance, you have a good number of programs and individual sessions that are really good in terms of quality. The last good thing about this app is the price. It definitely has the best pricing if you think about the quality of the product. I totally recommend it!!

This app helped me through the worst year of my life.. I have never reviewed an app before but really feel compelled to for Balance. 2022 was unfortunately a very terrible year for me due to personal loss, mental health, and a soul crushing ending to a 10+ years long relationship, and as usual it seemed like all of these things hit at the same time. I was struggling so badly and really didn’t think I was going to make it through at times. While trying to get medical help, I found the free year of Balance offer somewhere and figured it couldn’t hurt to try at that point, though I’d never really been a big believer in meditation. I am so happy to admit how wrong I was- this app helped my emotional health so much before and after I got the additional help I needed. The sleep modules in particular were so helpful- Ofosu’s voice alone is so calming and peaceful, and the meditations really help my mind stop wandering until it can relax and I can fall asleep. There are so many great non-sleep modules as well for different situations - it seems like there’s something there anytime I need it. Sometimes I go in knowing I will feel emotional, but sometimes it sneaks up on me in an unexpected and beautiful way too. I just purchased the lifetime plan- even though I don’t rely on this as a crutch like I used to, it has become something I want to do instead of something I have to do to get though the day.

The only thing that has gotten me into mediation. I have been trying for years to get into mediation but it has never worked out for me. It was impossible to quiet my mind or keep myself from distraction, and I would end the sessions more frustrated than I started. From the first Balance mediation, I was hooked. What I needed was GUIDANCE— instruction, someone teaching me to mediation skills, not just mediations telling me to quiet my mind and me not knowing how to do that. I have mediated everyday since downloading this app, and each day I learn how to do it better and better, which makes me keep coming back. It’s the best app for meditation, hands down. The foundations classes are fantastic for this, but also the singles are great as well — I use the wind down and sleep ones every night before bed, I’ve used anxiety and SOS many times in acute emotional states. It’s helped me stop relying on substances as much to regulate my mood, because I’m able to do it with the skills I learned in this app, or I can turn to the app for help instead. I got it for free during their coronavirus promotion (bless them) but I will pay full price every year for this app because it is worth it. Try it out, change your life.

Quality meditation app. This meditation app is really a great quality tool to improve your basic meditation practice. It’s very simple yet efficient in teaching you techniques without being overly showy. The voices are soothing - I especially enjoy Ofosu. I really like how easy the flow of these meditations are & enjoy that each new track asks questions to build your personalized meditation based on your level of skill & familiarity with the methods being taught. This isn’t available in any other meditation app I’ve tried so far. I docked off one star because I went through the whole advanced series pretty quick. It dropped off at meditating for ten minutes in complete silence which was so amazing. I so wanted it to continue so I could build more on that skill but it finished there. Please bring more levels to advanced users!! Thank you for this app- it’s great for anyone interested in learning meditation as it’s super user friendly, to the point, & helps you implement valuable meditative tools to help you in your daily life.

Amazing App Definitely Download. I can’t rave enough about how much I’m enjoying this app. I struggle with focus (ADHD,PTSD). I’ve been trying various apps for months. And now I’ve been consistent for over a week now. I actually look forward to opening the app. I crave it throughout the day to settle my mind and body 1. The immersive experience of reporting how I feel then having the instructors adjust to it best feature hands down. It feels like I have a personal coach. 2. The Design is clean and not many distractions which is why I prefer it to Calm. One coach multiple options. 3. Walking meditation, procrastination meditation, so many body scans which I love. Who new 10 mins could be so life changing. 4. The educational part isn’t overwhelming. It comes in bite sizes over time. I appreciate the questions along the way that show me I’m learning. 5. There’s a feature showing how many hours I’ve done total and it checks off how many days I’ve been consistent(streak). I could go on but I’ll stop there. I’ve shared it with everyone I know who would value it. I just want to thank you the creators. This app is really impacting my life in the best way and I couldn’t be more grateful. Well I might be, every new meditation I try I appreciate the app more. Did I mention the walking meditation is a game changer. Thought I was present on my walks until I was shown a better way using this app. I’m looking forward to walking way more now.

I am loving this app!. I started using Balance when I clicked on an Instagram ad offering a yearly subscription for free. I’m a sucker for deals. I had tried some other meditation apps, but I just never stuck with any of them. I have a history with teaching mindfulness groups, so I do have some experience with this material. So far with Balance, I have a 41 day streak completing four foundations plans! I really love the layout of this app. They do a really good job of explaining different skills and it’s really interactive. You can click on icons and it gives you an explanation in case you forget what a term means. I appreciate the little quizzes before some of my meditations to keep the things I’ve learned fresh. There is a lot of positive reinforcement and I’m constantly congratulated and reminded of how well I’m doing by simply just showing up and trying. I also love that they are interactive on Instagram. I’ve attended two of the Instagram lives where Oofasu answers questions and does brief meditations. There is just something about the setup of this app and the people that I love, and I look forward to my daily goal of meditating. Thank you so much!

Fantastic!!. I am only on my third day of using the Balance app for daily meditation and am LOVING it! I am new to meditation, but have heard great things. I currently have a lot of stress with work and also manage anxiety, depression, and Bipolar disorder, so I am always looking for new tools to help maintain a healthy balance with my mood, and in life. Specifically so far I have appreciated the smooth calming voices, the positive encouragement and reinforcement, the education of the effects of meditation on the brain physically. I love that I am learning so much!! I also have had issues falling asleep and staying asleep lately, and the sleep stories and sounds have helped greatly! I would like to thank the creators, developers, and anyone else who has made this app what it is today. You are making a difference! I also appreciate that you have offered a free one year subscription(with the option to donate) to fully try out the app before committing to purchasing. Most apps offer one week, and that is just not enough time to fully know if the app fits a person’s needs and lifestyle. THANK YOU!!!

Great intro to meditation, now building up my personal practice. I’ve been wanting to learn how to meditate for some time. I’ve tried Calm and Headspace. Calm is more about soothing than meditation. Appropriate for my kid. Headspace was ok but the narrative voice has the accent of Ricky Gervais and the British accent feels too hoity toity. Balance has an option of male or female voice, and i prefer the generic “American” accent. The singles are great, but where I’ve found real value is in the Plans. I’ve moved thru beginner plans and foundations into intermediate and advanced meditation over the course of a year. I don’t do it every day, but that’s my goal. And now I’m learning how to do self-guided meditations. My goal is generally to clear my mind, reduce the noise in my head, create space for intuition. But there are meditations available for all kinds of purposes (like anxiety, concentration, sleep, sadness, anger, and a whole lot more). It’s been great, so I committed to a lifetime membership!

Personalized, smart meditation. Best app I’ve used. I enjoy this app a lot. I’ve been a subscriber of Headspace for years and like it, but Balance is more engaging for me. I like that it has a small element of gamification that shows you your “levels” and experience in certain meditation techniques. I find the guy’s voice really relaxing. I also like that it is personalized, asks questions about where you are at on your meditation journey, and shares little bite sized information tidbits about how certain techniques are beneficial for us and why. Engaging, modern, interactive app that looks clean, easy to navigate, intuitive, and I even like the little sounds when you expand an information tidbit. It feels like a mediation app that’s been brought up to today’s standards of ease of use, personalization, data and being fun to use. I’ve struggled to keep to a habit with meditation but I find Balance makes me *want* to MAKE time for it, rather than maybe doing it if I have time for it. I have ADHD and get bored easily. I tried Balance when accidentally stumbling on an article about it when looking up smart health gadgets. Liked the idea of it. Really glad I did. This is now my primary meditation app instead of Headspace.

Life changing!. As someone that has dabbled with meditation at various points in my life I thought I knew what to do. It seems easy right?! But, I can say that actually doing this program and staying committed to it is really laying a beautiful foundation to build upon. I love that it is very customizable and even on the days when life is busy I am still able to keep my commitment to daily meditation. In the past I would feel overwhelmed about not getting everything “right” with meditating or having wandering thoughts. The way balance addresses this, helps you to acknowledge, and bring it back is really encouraging. I love that today the message was meditation is a workout for your mind. This analogy gave me an immediate flashback of starting to workout when I was overweight and how “bad” I was at it and I compared it to now and how strong I am. I found this app on an IG ad and I can 100% say I am so happy I followed this ad and joined! The free offer was enticing and I will stay committed to using this app even after I start paying for it.

Love this app!. The meditations are aligned with your specific needs based on analysis which is one reason I left Headspace. I like that it builds on your level based on my input, asks how I felt about the meditation, reviews what I learned. It beats Headspace because it’s tailored to the individual and guides me to what plan I should work on using my data. The only improvement I would make is the badge system. There should be more badges to reach quickly to encourage continued use. I know there’s something towards intrinsic motivation but for something that many people aren’t used to including in their day, early accomplishments will motivate until it becomes a natural part of the day. It’s hard to get 10 days in a row but 3 days is doable for first timers. Also 10,000 minutes is almost 3 years of meditating daily for 10 minutes and there’s nothing in between 10 days and 10,000 minutes. That’s a huge gap. I doubt many people will reach that milestone so maybe remove the badges and just share how many days/hours of meditation or add more badges to encourage use.

Love this app!. I typically never write reviews for an app because I tend to think that most apps for me are just used to pass time. I really love this app, I downloaded It about 30 minutes ago because of an ad I seen on instagram saying a free year trial, have to say that when this trial is up I’m most likely going to renew it. It’s awesome. It’s asks you questions at the beginning so it can personalize things that are aimed directly towards helping you as an individual. Covers a wide variety of things you can do. I’m really restless when it comes time to try to sleep and I was testing through the features of the app and found one where it helps you towards not biting your nails anymore, as I struggle with that. Anyway, within 5-10 minutes I was in an extremely relaxed state of mind and didn’t feel like my mind was running rampant. I would have fallen asleep if I wasn’t purposely trying to stay awake to test the rest of the app. Amazing. Would 100% recommend

Definitely worth the money!. Because of the pandemic, Balance gave out free subscription for their app. So I tried it because I can always just cancel and delete the app if it’s not good. And ohhh my gosh! I’m so happy I have this app a chance! Even if there was only a one week trial, I’m 100 PERCENT sure that I would pay money to keep this app! It’s honestly helpful, and has been helping me build a better sleep routine. This is my first time meditating, and my psychologist recommended me to try it, and I thought it’d be crazy hard (it is) but this app is so relaxing, it’s just hard NOT to do it. For the past few days, the moment I go to my room, I turn off all the lights and set this app up. Again, try it before you knock it! Thank you for creating this app! Also, I love the educational part of the app before going into meditating. I also love the permission to teach or asking if I’m interested in learning about the information before sharing it to me. This app is great!

Best for learning to meditate. Over the past 5 years, I’ve used several apps and platforms for meditation and mindfulness, most of which have been helpful. Balance is on another level. Even though I have several years of experience, I decided to start the program at the beginner level, and I am so glad I did. I am re-learning old concepts, and material is being presented in a more academic style format that is extremely effective in its delivery. I’ve only completed 4 modules at 10-15 minutes each and I feel like I have absorbed more than my entire ‘career’ of practicing mindfulness. The sessions are typically focused on a particular skill, and then as you progress it builds on previous knowledge. I feel more confident than ever that I will get the most out my mindfulness practice now that I’m going through this series. I actually look forward to my daily sessions now. I got my first year free, but I would absolutely purchase this program if it hadn’t been free. It is an incredible value for your time.

i would recommend this app to EVERYONE.. i’m not one to ever review an app. i’m not sure i ever have but this one deserves it all. i have a hard time sleeping and other apps never really helped, they just made my mind wander even more. Ofosu’s voice is so soothing and something about the sleep meditations put me right to bed and i’ve been in very deep sleeps. as someone who is prone to nightmares i’ve noticed that i haven’t experienced any since falling asleep. i feel truly cared for and the 1 year free subscription is amazing. i’m not off limits to anything and i can use whatever resources i can find on there which is incredible. when my year is up i will for sure start to pay for it and that’s also something i’ve never done. i truly truly think this app is incredible and suggest it to anyone wanting to mediate, relax, de-stress, sleep better, have a clearer mind.. etc. truly the best app on my phone

Best app for meditation by far…. only been using it for a week now, but let me say haha I’m feeling great! This app really works on a lot of things mentally, it can either be work stress or say you wanna meditate on the go? No problem! You can walk while meditating, which if your like me with Cardiophobia than this will be the best app for you trust me! also if you have a interest in ASMR like me who loves it, then the night time section really works great! we’ll actually I must say all the selections do! Also the loving souls that narrate everything are amazing at there jobs, they sound amazing! and so far there’s only two as of what I’ve seen, but they feel all my ASMR satisfactory needs lol seriously though you must listen to them! Plus you just feel warm, welcomed, and best of all you feel loved by these amazing people! And what’s amazing about this app is they truly care for your mental health because what’s better than 1 year free? Nothing.

Free year… not. Deleting.. Very disappointed. I saw an ad offering a free year subscription to try out this app. Looked it over. Set up an account. Jumped through all the “let’s get started” hoops. Was very excited & hopeful. Only to find that the “free year offer”, is only “free” once you load enough money to cover the price of a year’s subscription into your Apple account. I realize that this isn’t the only company that does this. I just got so hopeful and liked what I saw(I’ve been wanting something like this for so long)that I jumped in, forgetting that so many apps use this crappy tactic. I do not keep an Apple Wallet or keep any large amounts of money in my Apple app. Nor will I ever! I only keep the barest minimum to cover what few things I wish to purchase. And I load that through small increments gift cards. I will never attach my credit card / use Apple Wallet. I am not comfortable with either option. If I had benefited as hoped from my “free” year, I would have continued on, with at least monthly purchases as I could, OR a year if possible. So, a waste of time and thanks for getting my hopes up. I’m so tired of this crap. 😖FREE isn’t Free-with-strings-attached. Your version of “Free” is bogus.

Helped me to find my “Balance”. I don’t leave reviews. Ever. This app is AMAZING. The plans are great. Even if you are experienced in meditation, the plans help you build onto what you already know. If you’re new to meditation this app has the foundations plans with different levels. You finish one plan and you move on to the next. The immersive music meditation is absolutely beautiful. All of the immersive meditations are beautiful and unique. I’ve tried to find similar meditations on other apps or even on the web but can’t find them. They are unique to Balance. Balance has... well.... helped me find my balance. Over 15 hours spent meditating and it doesn’t get boring. They keep adding new plans and I can’t wait to finish them all. I’m currently on the Fear plan, the Fear plan isn’t my favorite one that I’ve done so far but it’s still extremely helpful. Can’t wait to see what else is to come! If you’re new to meditation or want to deepen your meditation practice, get this app. You won’t be disappointed with its user friendly interface and it’s beautifully designed meditations.

My favorite meditation app, but…. As someone who has meditated for years, I felt the need to have a refresh and broadening of my skill set. This app appealed to me because of it’s claim to adapt to the user based on usage and feedback, and that it has plans for people who have more experience with meditation. I succeeded in my goals to refresh and expand my skill set, and I’m actually still using it daily. However, I wish there was an unguided option that is *completely* unguided, since even the “unguided” single still has vocal cues. There are times where I still want a minimal reminder of how much time has passed. So, I still use a different popular meditation app that has an open-ended meditation option, which has further options such as no bells or a bell after a certain time interval. I truly hope the Balance app adds this option, because it seems very easy to do, and the other app has these options as a free feature in their app.

Favorite Meditation App for Newbies. I am REALLY enjoying Balance. I signed up for it because they advertised a free year, which is pretty incredible these days! I have tried a few other meditation apps but nothing really stuck, and I’ll be honest I’m still new to this one too, but it feels different. Reasons I love it: • The Design: Hats off to the designers and developers, you guys did a fabulous job of making a pretty, minimalist, and not-distracting app (which are my favorite qualities in an app). • Customization: From the first moment in the app, you begin creating a custom program based on your needs (stress management, focus etc), and from there you can even choose the voice of your Guide. You are also able to choose the length of meditation you wish to complete, so whether you’re overwhelmed by the idea of sitting still for 10 minutes or just “don’t have time” you can always fit it in. • Content: The techniques used in the program I am following feel far more effective in capturing my attention than other apps I’ve tried. I feels like a it clicking more this time. There are also lots of to choose from when you are in need of something specific. So while I am still new here, I am very much enjoying it. All of the above factors make this app worth revisiting on a consistent basis. So if you’ve been in the market for a meditation app or just want to try a new one, I would highly recommend Balance!

Profound personal growth using this app. Prior to subscribing to this app, I already had experienced life-changing benefits from meditating, using a meditation book as a guide. However, the tools I have been given through the practices in the Balance app are priceless. I have been using this for about a 1-1/2 years, and have finally become disciplined enough to use it almost daily. Today I completed one of the lessons within an advanced plan which took me three tries to complete (I was trying to do the meditation before bed and could not stay awake enough to complete it). Tonight I decided to do the lesson earlier in the evening while I was still wide awake but relatively relaxed. HOLY MOLY!! It was mind-blowing. I truly had a life-changing epiphany! The tools I acquired today will forever improve my life. I am so grateful. —- Don’t miss out on the benefits of meditation and the Balance app. Leave yourself a note on your fridge or To Do list to use it every day as a reminder. You will be better, more at peace, spiritually freer. You will find yourself in charge of your happiness.

An Incredible Difference. Halfway through my graduate school program and the tragic death of my mother, dealing with my father’s grief, as well as my own, my stress level was so high, it put me in the hospital. I discovered Balance through Instagram. I’ve always been reluctant of “meditation” but after my first session, I cried because almost everything I was suppressing was slowly revealed. Suddenly, I realized that there was now someone who was willing to listen, had the patience to wait until I was ready, help me through the chaos, and made me realize that my emotional needs are not being met by those closest to me. In the past seven years, I’ve been taking on the problems of those who can’t seem to handle their own, and I have been neglecting myself in the worst way. Sometimes, I didn’t think I was going to make it. I underestimated the power of taking a few moments to myself to focus, re-center, to be selfish for 10 minutes or less, and to know that if I am not functioning properly, everything else goes by the wayside. What an incredible difference Balance has made in only two sessions! Honestly, I find myself looking forward to the next session because it’s a place that I find solitude. My mom always said, “A person who really loves you, will guard your solitude.”

Locked Trial?. First off, I really like the app. The sleep meditation narrator’s voice is extremely peaceful and helps you fall asleep quicker. The software is easy to use and well thought out. However, this “1 year free trial” barely has any options. This is the only free trial I’ve used where the software appeared to be fully locked. Free trial means you get the full app for a certain amount of time, to see if the subscription is worth the cost. Unless other options are unlocked through using the app, it appears as though they are locked due to being on the free trial version of the app. It’s not a free trial if the software is locked. Just saying. I cannot give this app a higher rating right now as I cannot use 99% of the features, therefore I cannot evaluate how they work. If more options open up during use or the developer addresses my concerns of locked software on a year free trial, I will update my rating. Opened the app today and all items appear to now be unlocked. Unsure if it had a timer or the reasoning behind locking software. Updated to five stars.

Fantastic app. I have been struggling for years to try and figure out how to release all my bottled up stress. I was an avid runner and went to the gym daily. I was in a car accident that has prevented me from being able to much of any physical activity. When I was stressed I would always go for a run but for the past six years that wasn’t an option. Since I was a small child I have also always struggled with severe anxiety and ADHD which makes it hard to focus. This app has given me many strategies to help stay grounded even during stressful times. I really enjoy the positive redirection and guidance during the meditation sessions. As my mind goes a million miles a minute it’s nice the app will help refocus your attention to the now moment. I also work in special education with low income students that have many struggles in their lives. I try to bring in coping skills from this app and else where into the classroom. This app has been a lifesaver. Also, if you enjoy the app there is a podcast that they host you may want to check out as well.

More calm, clarity, peace post-breakup. First of all, I never write reviews. NEVER. But this app is helping me SO much and I had to share in case it helps someone else in a similar situation. I have never really meditated but have always been interested, just wouldn’t carve out the time to do it. The Instagram promotion for a free year of Balance caught me at exactly the right time—going through a difficult breakup and finding myself experiencing lots of confusion, anxiety, negative thoughts, self-doubt, fear you name it. I have been waking up sad, grieving, lots of rumination and swirling thoughts, but after taking time to go through a 5 minute guided mediation after waking, I find that my brain feels more clear, I’m a little less anxious and slightly more positive/invigorated. These are fractional improvements, but improvements nonetheless and I’m grateful for that. I’m only on day 4 of the Foundations program and can’t wait to see how my brain transforms over the next few weeks, months, and year.

Great app but the sessions go by too quickly. I really enjoy this app. However I was disappointed when I unlocked the year of it and it seems I still can’t adjust my sessions to be any longer than 10 minutes. 5 or 10 minutes are the only options. Is this going to change? Usually I’m just getting settled and my mind is only just staring to quiet as she’s asking me to open my eyes. Also when she asks to count your breaths up to 5 and start over, I rarely get to 5 counts before she’s on to the next exercise. I’d really like to see this app offer 15 or 20 minute sessions with more time in between each of the prompts. Otherwise I’m wondering if I can get a refund because 10 minutes just isn’t enough for me. The app is great otherwise, I love that it’s personalized and tracks your skills and how long you’ve done each of them but I find I meditate much more deeply after 10 minutes of getting my mind to settle down first.

Actually teaches you to meditate. I have used other meditation apps and they are either overloaded with too much stuff I don’t care about or don’t really teach you the basics of meditation. I love how this app builds on each skill and explains the reasoning behind doing it and clarifies what you might be thinking when doing it. I actually was able to use the skills in learned in the first few lessons in real life to calm my anxiety. Furthermore it really is a free year. It seems a lot of people in the reviews don’t understand how to navigate an app or how to cancel a subscription before it renews. There is an option to donate a few different amounts for the year or to use it completely free so don’t let those reviews dissuade you from downloading this truly fantastic app. I will be deleting my other meditation apps and purchasing the lifetime membership in a bit. Please keep this app clean and simple like it is and don’t jumble it up with an overwhelming amount of weird content I don’t care about 🙏🏻

I finally got unstuck thanks to Balance. I have wanted to have meditation be a core part of my routine for a long while now. For the last two years, I have ardently fought finding this journey through an app. I didn’t want to have yet another routine dependent on a gadget. But I realized that depleting my energy by resisting the support of an app was beginning to outweigh the benefits of starting somewhere. I share this because Balance has addressed my trepidations of app-based meditation instructions. The UI/UX is thoughtfully designed to not have the app be the core focus. It doesn’t ping me everyday for my attention. It is there when I am ready for it. It’s Ofosu’s coaching and guidance that has made it stick for me. I especially love the feedback loop, which accurately personalizes the meditation foundation for my needs. Thank you, Balance and Ofosu, for this incredible contribution to our community. I have my good days and my bad about the tech world (as someone who works in it too!), and you have proven all of the benefits that it can have, when done right.

So Grateful For This App. My sister suggested Balance to me a over 6 months ago and now I’m suggesting it to my Friday and family. I can feel myself changing, I have gained the skills through meditation to calm myself when stressful moments come up. I have learned to be kinder to myself, I no longer dwell on negative thoughts. Balance has guided me to a new way to think about everyday thoughts that arise and it’s provided me the skills to embrace every one of them. I was already using another well-known app pretty regularly, but the set-up of this one is just perfect. You can choose to follow along with a plan or open the app up for a quick single meditation based on your specific need at the time. And the best part is, you can choose the duration of time that works specifically for you. Usually it’s 5 or 10 minutes but with some, they go down to 3 minutes or up to 15. I cannot say enough good things about this app. Thank you for being so kind and generous with your software during this wild time; it does not go unnoticed. I will happily sign up for the paid subscription to this beautiful app when the time comes. ❤️🤸‍♀️ Some kind suggestions: I would love to see more single meditations added on a regular basis, or different variations of the same ones. For instance, with the concentrate meditation, I was surprised that it didn’t include visualization. On that note, I would LOVE to see an entire guided plan for visualization practice/learning how to visualize. It would be cool if there was a log to see which meditations you did on which days. Changed my life for good. I am writing this review after using Balance app for 6 months (got 1 year free). Will buy the full version soon. Have used all the meditations in the app whether it be a plans, singles or the immersive (these are pretty interesting too). Short summary 1) Bit size meditation will help you form the habit of getting into meditation which is pretty cool. 2) Each plan will develop a specific mental skill and continue to strengthen your mental well-being 3) Skills it will help you develop : Focus, Communication, Breathing, Relaxation, Concentration, Positivity, Labeling (i might be missing few) 4) Labeling skills is so great which allows mediator to bring back their focus if you wondered during meditation. 5) I like both meditators but Ofosu is my personal favorite. Overall i have learned over the period of time from great people that keeping myself happy is my responsibility 100% and no one else’s. I am fortunate that along the way , found Balance app which has changed my life for good. Disclaimer: This is not a paid review nor the balance app will ask you 100 times to provide a review. Best and favorite app by far!!. I had been hearing the many benefits that meditation has to offer, but hadn’t ever tried it. I was skeptical at first but I downloaded the Balance application just to see what all the fuss was about. I was absolutely amazed that after only one session, I felt so calm, relaxed and just better in general. I guess I wasn’t aware of exactly how tense and stressed I was. I have since recommended this app to all of my family and friends and they too are very impressed. With all the things we have going on day to day, we tend to forget to take care of ourselves and we don’t realize how important self are is. The Balance app does just that, it helps you balance and manage those day to day stresses and make life more manageable and enjoyable. There’s truth in the saying “you need to stop and smell the roses,” and this wellness app helps you do that! I love the fact that Balance makes a personalized program to suit each individual’s needs based on how you answer questions within the app. There are also “singles” you can do that are helpful if you’re feeling a certain way or having trouble sleeping or focusing etc…I’m not usually one to write a review on an application but I highly recommend this app to everyone!! If you are open to exploring the benefits that meditation has to offer and want balance and wellness in your life, then this is the app for you!!

I’ve found solace through meditation. This app teaches you so much about different meditation techniques and it has been amazing for me. I struggle so much with letting go of strong emotions that I feel. When I’m sad, I’m sad for a long time. When I’m angry and frustrated, I can be angry and frustrated for the entire day. These guided meditation sessions have been able to help me let go of those emotions, not to push them down and to hide them, but to simply let go. It also helps me because I can get so caught up in my own thoughts that it becomes so tiresome being in my own mind. Meditation helps me shift my focus from those thoughts. I’ve been trying to meditate at least once a day, and it’s a little difficult some days. But the days that I do take the time for myself to meditate, I feel lighter and happier and like I’m able to step out from under the dark cloud of frustration, stress, worries, fears, sadness, etc. I’ve seen an improvement in myself over these past couple of months and if it’s something that you think would be helpful for you, I hope you can find solace through meditation.

Impressed. I have long sought a way to learn meditation that would work for me. All felt too long at first, and asked for most focus than a beginner could ever have. This App is OUTSTANDING. Short times at first, yet the meditation WORKS. 5 days in, I extended my time to the longest available and was sad two days in a row when it was done so soon! Currently on the 7 day free trial before paying for a year, as of 2 minutes ago. I want more! I want to meditate as long as my brain will allow, and it’s currently so worth the subscription to me! I will be exploring the benifits of a paid subscription over these 7 days, and will come to update what I decided. Already, was thrilled to be able to move onto the next step in my plan tonight without waiting until tomorrow. Excited to see the other plans it unlocks. I’m a believer!! When I finish every night I sincerely feel... better. Peaceful. Calm. Working in a retirement community during COVID, this is a big deal. I told someone last week I am on the verge of a mental breakdown. I am feeling like that is lessening and I feel stringer daily in my head and emotions. If that improves with the added features of a subscription, it is worth WAY more than $50 a year to me!

The best for sleep, waking up, or calming down :) I love it. Okay so this review might be kinda long but I swear just read it. I have to say, this app is perfection. I play the meditations when I want to sleep if I seem to be having insomnia or even if I’m not having sleep problems because it makes my sleep that much better. I use Leah’s voice (there’s a male and female voice so you can choose what one you want) and anyway it works like a charm every night. I loved it so much that I played it for my sister one night and she actually fell asleep in minutes. The vibrated meditations are super calming too, and keep my mind at ease since I usually visualize things as I’m thinking (especially at night). I haven’t tried every meditation but some let you answer a few quick questions before you start to make it even more personal, one example being the frustration meditation (I think that’s what it’s called). One time I was absolutely LIVID because of someone, and the meditation really gave me some perspective and calmed me down in the heat of the moment. Thank you so much to Balance for the free year, I’ll definitely be purchasing it when I can, and I have sent a link to get the app to my sister so she can continue to fall asleep in minutes.

Fantastic app!. This app has helped my family and me to get a better nights sleep over the past year through the one-year free trial that they offer. The app is unique as it offers a new customized meditation every day. They have a good variety of meditations for kids and my daughter loves to choose what to listen to based on the pictures. The more I explored this app, the more surprised I was by the amazing variety that this app offers. I used this app frequently over the last year and still found new and surprising features. The team that put this together seem to really care about keeping things fresh. There really is only one issue. This app does not support family sharing. I was about to purchase the lifetime subscription, but I would have had to buy it twice so my wife could have it on her phone to help put the kids to sleep when mine wasn’t available. I really could not recommend this app more. I have searched for other apps that do support family sharing, but the most they could offer was a small selection of pre-recorded meditations that will stay the same when you listen to them multiple times. Balance shines when it comes to audio quality. Most other meditation apps just don’t sound nearly as relaxing. If you are in a situation like mine and you can afford it, I would highly recommend getting the lifetime subscription to this app. I just couldn’t afford to pay for two subscriptions just for my wife and I to listen together on one device 95% of the time anyway.

Eternally grateful for this app. If you’re looking for a pretty, consumer-driven app that’ll charge you for their good looks and trendy appeal, this is not it. It’s obvious that this company actually has a true passion for helping people, judging by the work they’ve put into it and their free one year subscription! Their methods are evidence-based, no frills, and straight to the point so you can focus on learning and progressing your meditation practice without the type of trendy mind-clutter you get from Calm. Of all the meditation apps I’ve tried, Balance is the most user-friendly. It’s well-organized, tracks your progress across different skill sets, and although it’s evidence-based, it won’t overwhelm the lay person with scientific details. Though if you do prefer more scientific explanations, I would recommend pairing this app with FitMind. I find that they complement each other quite well. (FitMind also has accessible options for those who can’t afford their prices). Running this type of business requires hard work, and providing one year of it for free is unheard of in this broken capitalist society. Thank you Balance, for making this invaluable service accessible to everyone. As a broke grad student this means the world to me, and I promise I’ll get a job when I graduate so I can give you my money.

I really love this app but…. TLDR; please consider keeping smaller amounts of time for all of your Foundations courses, or at least a slower build up (5, 7, 10). In the Foundations courses, the jump from a choice of 5 or 10 minutes in Foundations 1 and 2 to only the choice of 10 or 15 minutes in Foundations 3 really turned me off. I know I would like to work up to 10 minutes, but I should be allowed to do that at my pace. I feel strong armed into it which makes me resist (plus, sometimes I really only can do the 5 minutes, which is actually more like 7-8 minutes with all the prep talk before meditation starts). So this shift in Balance also makes me feel somewhat ashamed that I’m not able to always delve into 10 minutes easily (or that I’m not taking that time for myself). I also know that I can do the singles, but I would like to continue on Foundations. I know this is all on me regarding the feelings, but if the app touches those pressure points, it means something’s not working. So, long story, please consider keeping smaller amounts of time for all of your Foundations courses, or at least a slower build up (5, 7, 10).

.. This app is amazing i fell asleep in ten minutes just the first time i used it. If you struggle to fall asleep try out this app because i guarantee you wont regret it. This app has so many different meditations i do 1 in the morning that helps me wake up and i do 2 at night. This app does have a pay but you can do it for free if you want to pay the money you will just unlock different meditations but you can do really good just without paying. I strongly recommend getting this app it has helped me and a lot of other people.

Overguided to the point of being patronising. I get that the foundations programs are designed for beginners and the guidance is helpful, but when the voice chimes in every other breath to say something it just becomes distracting. I’ve found points in the guided meditations (foundations and others) where the narrator has been so persistently in my ear that it actually stresses me out and I just meditate with a timer on my phone. It’s annoying because there are some genuinely good tips and advice buried in the guidance, but when I find myself rolling my eyes mid meditation at the annoying bs the narrator keeps saying, and turning off the app, something is wrong. Dial it back guys. Give people at least 20 or 30 seconds between voice lines to actually practice meditation. We are here to focus, not to be lectured.

Great UI - really well presented and thought out. This app is well worth the subscription costs! Such a well presented app - you can tell a high level of attention to detail has been paid. It is so simple to navigate and use. If you are a complete beginner to meditation you will have no issues with this app. Everything is explained in simple, easy to understand formats. The guided meditations are excellent and the app is constantly being updated with new content added. I really like that when repeating certain single meditations such as the sleep meditation, that it is not a straight up duplicate of the previous time I listened to it - it has slight changes applied which keeps it interesting and not repetitive. Ofosu, the meditation guide’s voice is pure perfection....it immediately puts me into a calm state. He is a definitely a big factor to why I would renew my subscription next year as his voice just works so well for me!

Highly recommend it. Only downloaded it because there was a free trial. At the time tried a handful of different apps and wasn’t really happy with them. Luckily discovered Balance before the free trial expired which gave me the opportunity to try multiple meditations. I’m now a paying for the full subscription and have share it with my partner, my friends and my sister. It asks you questions and tailors the meditation to your answers, meaning the more you use it the more personalised the meditations will be. Has great reminder to keep you on track. It’s by far the best guided meditations app around.

Balance. I wanted to learn to meditate,so 18 months ago i got this app and it is fabulous! So when they offered lifetime membership i took it. I am 18 months of meditating everyday and what a difference its made to my life and balance is a big big part of that. Incredible, thoughtful app. This app is amazing. I am so impressed, I never write reviews for apps but this one deserves it. The design is so well done, amazing user experience and interface. I love that it’s personal and it has meditations for so many different things, I think it makes meditation so accessible and to suit every mood or situation. I believe with regular use I really will become more mindful and this will be a very useful tool for mental health. I hope that everyone is able to access it. I got one year for free which is a great deal, I’m not sure of the cost but I believe it would be worth every penny to have access to an app like this. Awesome app. I love that you can decide how much time you want to spend on each individual meditation. I find the immersive ones so fun and the vibrations makes it easy to imagine what is being described. I don’t fall asleep immediately after the sleep one finishes but at least I’m relaxed. Lots of great choices of mediations for all sorts of situations. And definitely like that every time you use the app, the script changes. The developers are excellent in responding to feedback. My husband is also a massive fan of this app.

New favorite app and amazing customer service. I have raved about this app to everyone who will listen since downloading it about three weeks ago. This is an incredible and accessible app that removes any stigma from meditation. I went from having meditated once in my life to maintaining a habit of doing it every day, often multiple times. It’s been particularly helpful during the pandemic, but even after this is all over, there’s no way I’ll ever get rid of it. It’s personalized without the “fake” feel that many other apps have when they try to personalize your experience. You can tell a lot of love and expertise was poured into Balance. Additionally, I received prompt, helpful, and kind customer service when I needed to contact them about my partner’s account. Between the quality of the app itself and the dedication of the humans behind it, I can’t recommend it enough.

The best meditation app ever. I have tried a few meditation apps, but this is the best by far. Beautiful clean layout, easy to navigate and each one is personalized! I have started with their beginner course and worked my way up to the advanced courses over time. I have learned SO many new skills with this app. They have single meditations for every kind of mood as well as a great range of bedtime meditations too. There is seriously something for everyone for every mood, feeling, occasion and time of day.

Brought me out of depression. I highly recommend this app. It’s foundation plans helped me take baby steps into taking care of my overall mental health. I hardly write reviews but because I’m truly grateful at this point, I felt the need to give back. It would be great if the loving kindness meditation was also offered as a single session. I know you could do this otherwise by going to day 10 of foundation V. Overall, thank you for helping me get my life back on track.

The best Mediation app. I tried for years now to get into the habbit of mediation. I tried Insigh timer, Calm, Headspace and always felt lost and loosing the habbit soon after. But not with Balance. This app make you feel like you have an actual personal coach. It follows what you feel and what you like. Even the singles change and adapt to your need. Also they costumer service is awesome. You have an issue just call email them and they will answer within 24h. This app should be the first one you see online about best Mediation app. 5 starts for sure.

Beautifully personalised. I love how personalised this app is, it’s really intelligently created, and I appreciate that so much. It’s simple, clear, easy to use and navigate. And the free years subscription is a fantastic way to showcase just how fabulous the app is, without the pressure of having to use it everyday or make sure you enjoy it to make it worth the money, like other apps. Assistance with information for my patients. Thank you for allowing me to write a request as a mental health clinician I am always looking for easy to use helpful apps for my patients. Balance is excellent however I sent a message requesting my reminder time to be changed from 5 to 4 pm as st times I need more flexibility in the times I can access benefiting from my experience. I notice this change has not been made as yet . I would also like to continue with the breath fist part as it is very helpful for patients but feel it is not easy to navigate to restart or pick up if interrupted. I would really appreciate your suggestions that would help with managing these little issues . Thank you kindest regards Annette

Unique. Though I’ve only used this app for a few days, I find it so incredible to have an app that customises itself to you. I particularly love that it asks you your experience with meditation, so it will give you more complex ways to meditate if you already have a practice. I love that because most apps make you start like you’ve never done it before and working through it can be a little repetitive. Love it so far!

Great app + idea. I love this app, it helps me a lot and I especially find the weekly meditations interesting and informative. I had an idea of adding a death meditation single. Where we can mediate on the idea of our mortality, helping us seize the moment and live life with more emphasis. This could also work as a weekly one too. Death meditation has helped me see life in a brighter light. I would love to see how balance would integrate this concept.

Best meditation app I’ve ever used!. This is by far the best meditation app I’ve ever used (and I’ve tried a lot). I’ve never been able to stick to meditation for more than a couple of days at a time, but since using Balance I’m excited to do my daily foundations, and love the bedtime singles! I’ve only been using it for a few weeks and have already seen such improvements in my mood and motivation and gratitude. Cannot recommend this enough!

Excellent meditation app. I can’t recommend this app enough. Very intuitive, beginner friendly, but gradually becomes more focussed on a purely meditative experience as you progress and become comfortable with it. This app got me to focus again, which I thought was impossible. The trials are well worth it, and it’s best to buy after trying their first free course so you and the app know exactly what you want to work on. Multiple modes of meditation, which offer stress relief or just a calm experience for any time of the day. Stress used to be a real issue for me, I was someone who never took meditation seriously or could never focus on doing it, but with some good timing, luck and a little perseverance, for once I stuck with this and I’ve never looked back. Give it a go!

Love this app. Recommend it where I can!. Really love this app. I’ve never understood meditation too well but this app has really changed my mind on the benefits of meditation and time out. I’m still getting into the swing of it but love how this app is put together. Love how you can just start off with really simple short exercises that make it not overwhelming. I have a major chronic illness with sleep issues and this app really does help. Working more effectively than sleeping meds. I also have sensory issues with sound and the calming narrators voices are perfect for me. So soothing :) I just wish the single sleep exercises had multiple exercise that were different so the exercises don’t get too repetitious. But all and all best meditation app I’ve tried and I tell everyone about it when I can 🙂 :) Well done!

Great to help me relax and sleep. Since using this app free for a year then paying the annual fee I’ve recommended it to countless people. The addition of sleep journeys have really helped me too. They change slightly each time. I just wish there were more of them. I find myself looking to other apps for other sleep stories. Please add more. I’d also like longer sleep stretches. They don’t just help my sleep but also relieve my anxiety. Thanks for a great app.

Because of this app I meditate everyday. Devs — is there a way users can change their top goal? It’s not a huge deal but I originally just ‘Focus’ as my top goal but this changed over time. During some of the meditations Ofosu/Leah would say ‘…because I know focusing is your top goal’ and this felt irrelevant to me at times. All in all, using the app changed my life for the better. The Foundations series is a must for new meditators. The Sleep and Waking Up meditations are also brilliant and effective. There’s an excellent timer. And the UI and whole experience of the app was never ever glitchy. Thank you for developing such a wonderful app that has truly helped me in many ways.

100% recommended. Used this app for a while now, really helps me relax during the day when I am feeling stressed. The morning and night meditations are amazing, this app really gets you in a calm space of mind. I recommend anyone who is overly stressed or struggles to cope with relaxation to give it a go. My one and only meditation app. I’m just here to say thank you. I had a really tough year in 2021. This is also the year when I started using balance. This app helped me SO MUCH. On those really tough days I sat down and meditated with Ofusu’s voice, and I just magically calmed down and got to my feet again. I’m not saying that this app is a cure for mental illness. If you do suffer from severe mental issues, please go see a doctor asap. What I’m trying to say is that balance helped me walk through my toughest moments in life. It’s like an old friend who is always there with you, no matter how depressed or lonely you feel. I bought the lifetime version this year and it worths EVERY penny. I love the new updates you keep making, especially the latest work stress plan! I also really enjoy the single mediations such as the positivity and forgiveness meditation. I would love to see more single mediation updates in the future.

I’m impressed do far. I downloaded this app on the free 12 month trial and I’ve been using it for a week so far and I’m impressed that I am able to get to sleep easier each night. I’m certainly never getting to hear the end of the meditation. I’ll keep using it and trying out the other components and see how I feel. I might even pay for it if I continue to get results and improve with my sleep.

My Balance in between the chaos.. I work as a nurse and the past year has been hectic for me. My mental health has deteriorated drastically due to COVID and the burn out of constantly working crazy shifts. Guided Meditation for those struggling with focus. With the help of the guided sessions which add a new aspect to each meditation in a slow and controlled manner which is easy to follow along, I find myself aided in snapping back to a meditative stare where otherwise my mind would drift too much. Best Meditation App Created!. This app has honestly been the most helpful out of all I have tried. To begin with, I received a year free trial - A YEAR! Honestly, what other apps do that? It has many options for you to tailor the experience and includes habit builders. Even if you don’t buy an ongoing or lifetime subscription, you can still access valuable walk throughs for different scenarios. Thanks for being generous with this app, mindfulness is so important 🧘🏽‍♀️

Compounding. I’ve really noticed how the effects of even just a few minutes of meditation daily, have made me feel calmer and more centred in my day to day life. Please consider - it’d be great to have a space to journal or reflect after completing a meditation. I think the rating tool is geared more toward feedback for the developers; it’d be great to have a space to rate how we went, if the meditation was challenging, or anything the meditation brings up. I’ve just purchased my lifetime membership so really hoping you’ll consider adding this feature. Thank you.

Life changing meditation app. Balance is truly the best meditation app I’ve ever used. From how personalised and individualised it is to the huge range of singles and plans available, Balance is really the best out there. I also really appreciate how they’re always updating and adding new singles, so that the benefits compound. Oh and the badges and streaks really encourage me to stay consistent. :) If I could suggest an improvement: I’d love to see a meditation plan for anxiety or low mood. There is the “work stress” and “facing fear” plans but I’m not sure if they’re as targeted to worry and low mood and would love to see something individualised to that. Thank you so much to the Balance team for this wonderful app! Keep up the great work.

Great investment, awesome personalization. Excellent app with high quality production and design. Well thought-out, with great level of personalization of the experience, tailored to your goals, skills and cadence of usage. Expensive but worth the investment (I bought lifetime subscription)… I find a lot of benefit in using it especially to find rest and reprieve in busy days or when I feel run down. After a 10min session, I always feel refreshed and energized.

Finally a Meditation App that Doesn’t Overwhelm me. I have found meditation apps a bit overwhelming. There is just so much choice in the type of meditation you do that you don’t even know where to begin and sometimes i just wouldn’t do a meditation bc i just didn’t want to bother choosing. This app gives you a variety of choice with the extra meditation in various categories, however everyday there is a new foundation meditation which helps build your meditation skills as well as giving you really valuable information. His voice is also so relaxing. I just can’t recommend this app enough.

I feel weird if I don’t meditate now. I downloaded this app and instantly drawn in by its clean and minimal interface. Set up was quick and easy, and got straight into a guided meditation - not distracted by a long list of sessions like other apps. Ofosu’s voice is calming and reassuring - I always look forward to the end where he says “Great job today”. I meditate during my commute so I made it part of that routine. Now if I’m sitting on the train I feel weird if I’m not meditating. I look forward to using the app each day and the “Singles” they offer are great. I can mix it up on a day when I’m feeling a little down or a little excited, and it feels like there’s something new every day. If I could rate this app 10 stars, I would.

Truly helpful. I am honestly so grateful for this app, the wisdom and the tools that Balance provides! I am enjoying the foundations course as I am learning how to breathe properly again and have more awareness in my body. I believe it’s important to notice how my body feels and accept where I am in the moment. I get distracted easily, but I don’t feel uncomfortable when that happens. The guidance of the teachers allows me to notice and just move on. I love Balance !

Can’t believe App Store hasn’t featured Balance yet!. Balance is life changing! It teaches so many breathing techniques (something for everyone and every ability), keeps you accountable to meditate daily (which your mind & body are grateful for), and makes you excited to practice again & again. The plans are awesome, taking you through 10 days of meditations (that you can change the length of i.e. 10, 15, 20 mins etc.) teaching different skills around managing a particular topic or issue. Along the way, you are asked questions about what you need or are struggling with in relation to that plan, and it adjusts the meditation accordingly. I love the Singles meditations at the moment, mainly picking and mixing breathing exercises for calm or energy as needed. I also like doing the Gratitude and Creativity Singles, and have used the SOS and Anxiety Singles when struggling to manage runaway thoughts. It baffles me that Balance isn’t mentioned in the App Store’s rundowns of best apps for meditation, mental health or sleep. It is the most helpful app I’ve found for all three of these things and I wish more people knew about it. I have and will continue to share about Balance to friends, family & strangers — particularly anyone needing extra support the way 2020 is going!

Best App!. This is the best app I have ever downloaded. I had a free 12 month trial, but I will definitely be paying for it when the trial is over. I use it multiple times a day, every day. It has meditation tracks for different times of day, moods, to help you sleep, for anything you would want. The choice of voices are both great and relaxing. The sleep tracks have helped me feel less stressed, get more out of my day, and improved my sleep. Great app!

Best mindfulness app I’ve ever used - not kidding. Was lucky enough to get a year free with these folks. Without a doubt, best mindfulness app I’ve ever used. It has really helped me with my sleep, I would recommend using daily as the meditations literally change every time you use them. I’ve never fallen asleep so fast. I really love the level of detail they go into with body awareness, I never noticed the tension I held in my face until using this and getting specific detail on what parts of my face/body to relax. I recommend it to everyone asking about mindfulness apps. I think the price is kinda extreme, but they often have 75% off lifetime subscriptions and I will be SO SAD if this app ever disappears. Unpaid, unbias, unbothered when I used it.

Best Meditation App Ever!!. There are no words for how amazing this app is! I love that it personalizes itself to my needs. I love that there are heaps of 10day plans to complete (starting from the the foundations) which makes it so easy to follow and create a daily habit which was always hard for me. Also if you are in a particular mood for something then there are plenty of singles to choose from! I love the immersive singles in particular. I love that it tracks my progress which helps keep me motivated. I honestly love everything about this app and highly recommend it for anyone that struggles with meditating but recognizes that enormous benefit it has on mental health.

Thank you Balance team!. I can’t express how thankful I am for Balance and it’s generous gift of a free year of subscription. My stress, anxiety and depression levels have slowly been creeping up over the COVID period and Balance’s calming, guided meditations are like a balm to my soul. Some other guided meditations offer too much or too little guidance but I find Balance’s formula to be just right, encouraging you to think about what you’re doing and how you’re doing it, rather than just a series of instructions.

FREE YEAR SO JUST DO IT. Amazing introduction to meditation. Honestly, whether you’re struggled everyday with the disabling symptoms of your mental health, or you’re living your best life. Balance is worth the time! Within the first two weeks I mastered introducing the 10 mins of time on the app to my daily routine and now use is two to three times day. I noticed the decrease in anxiety symptoms within a consecutive four day practice and I learnt extraordinary coping skills during difficult times resulting in faster recoveries, including pain management. If you just need a little help spending more positive time with yourself, this is the app for you. And it’s free for a year! I’m 9 months in and thinking about spending the money for a subscription later

Absolutely love the skills-based approach to meditation. Amazing app!. I started using this app since 2020, mostly to help with sleeping. Been on and off with it ever since but keep coming back. One thing that the app really stands out for me is the skills-based approach and the breakdown of specific skills to help with meditation, focus and just self awareness and mental health in general. The recent Pomodoro timer addition is very useful. I bought the lifetime subscription.

Highly recommended. This app teaches you so many skills that you can practice anytime and anywhere. There are many different meditation experiences which makes it even better. The voices are perfect for listening to and I always feel better after I meditate because of balance. Helps me everyday. My father told me he started using balance when he was being treated for cancer. It helped him stay calm and grounded through the process and I was amazed by his attitude. I started to use the app as a result of being inspired by him. I’ve been using the app for a few years now and it’s helped me immensely. The reason I love the app so much is that it seems to focus on making meditation easier to adhere to by simplifying the process and better explaining what meditation can be. As a result, I’ve now meditated everyday for over year and a half and I have no intention of ever stopping. Best meditation app. I have never reviewed an app before, but this one is amazing. I downloaded it and only after a few days of using it have found it to have a profound impact on my mindfulness, mental health and anxiety. The guided meditations are easy to follow, and the level of relaxation you have at the end is like nothing I have felt before. Antidote to a stressful, disconnected life. This wonderful app guides you to relax, reflect, get to sleep, wake up with a cuppa, set intentions and relax your body and mind when you need it most. I started using it with a free year subscription just to help me get to sleep and it’s far more useful and varied than I had ever imagined at first. I love the two voices and how each time you practice, it changes evolves. It’s great for anxiety and it’s the first time meditation has actually worked for me. Well executed app, well done to the team behind it.

The best so far for me. I have tried many meditation apps before but none of them stuck with me. Balance was different from day one. The fact that it is personalized (even if just a little bit) gives that feeling of connection :) I’m now on a 40+ day streak and loving every bit of it. I am far from having explored every single one of the meditations, but the ones I have tried are all amazing. Thank you so much for your amazing work!

Great but Sadly Lacking. Balance has provided a whole lot of benefits; it the first app I found consistently worked for me and didn’t have so many pay walls that you couldn’t continue after the trial. That being said - I really do think it should be reconsidered what *is* behind the app’s paywall. Namely the SOS meditation. I just find it a bit confusing and questionable that a meditation app that seems to really want to help others would put such an important meditation behind a pay wall when people with mental health issues who would best benefit from this meditation often cannot afford such services already..? I know myself that I can’t afford to buy a subscription for many reasons, and have very often had to go without having a guided meditation that might have helped ground me out of my attack. I just wish that at least the SOS meditation was available and perhaps just a basic guided ones for each meditation skill - rather than the majority only focusing on breathing or body scan. Hopefully the SOS can be changed though - that’s really the only thing I’m upset about and can’t understand.

Best meditation app - ever. This is my favourite meditation app by far. The quality is unlike any other. It is clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into creating this mediation app. I am currently within my first year subscription after trying the free version, and will most definitely be renewing. The experience is tailored, and you can focus on what you want to work on, whether it be deep breathing, improving sleep, managing stress, or simply to wake up and appreciate the day ahead. Almost perfect. I’ve tried a number of meditation apps and Balance definitely has the best UI and some of the greatest variety and practicality I’ve come across. The only thing I’m not too thrilled about is the frequency of the narrator’s speaking, even when setting the session to a longer period of time. For me, it doesn’t allow enough time to settle into a focus on its instructions before it comes back in with additional (and often unnecessary) comments and reminders. The regularity of the narration sometimes results in me tuning out from what’s being said.

MoRe SiLeNcE?!?!. Man, they ask you after your meditation if you want more silence for the next one, I said YES every time and it keeps talking whole the freaking time... worst app ever

Lacking. Wish I could choose more voices- I am avoiding some sessions because Leah is the only option. I personally connected with Ofosu’s voice. Would love to continue to have a variety of tones to connect with. Would love more single options once you have gone through the Foundations. I don’t have experience with other meditation apps, but so far appreciate the app setup- it’s makes the entry into meditation fluid.

My favourite meditation app. It’s incredibly flexible to where you are on your your meditation journey. They provide options for so many different scenarios. Been using it almost a year now and highly recommend it to anyone.

Incredibile meditation app!. I used it almost daily or more, as it tailors meditations to your responses.

Couple of suggestions. As a subscriber, it would be great if after the meditation you can correct a date performed. If my session runs after midnight, it will show as the next day mediation and I will have a missed day, which is not really true. Kind of annoying. Also, adding a calendar to display the dates you practised would also be beneficial. Just as additional info to see how much a person practised.

Oddly robotic. The idea of the app learning from your experience is cool, but I find the sessions feel robotic and choppy since they are slicing recordings together to “personalize” to you. Personally, I find I can’t relax to this style of artificially curated meditation.

Go-to app. I’ve learned SO MUCH from this app, particularly through using the personalized plans. I’ve used other meditation apps and this one doesn’t compare. The personalized plans are attuned to your goals while also having single meditations that allow you build freely on different skills. It’s really helped me grow and made a difference in my day to day life ESPECIALLY with my mental health. A suggestion; I’d love to have a highlights/notes section for each mediation under the plans. Whether that be an option for me to take personal notes, or highlights designed by the app that I could use for future reference/write down so I don’t have to try and memorize techniques that I want to use in the future. I find that I learn a lot but sometimes forget details learned during the mediation, so I have to put them in my notes app immediately after for future reference. Great!. Love this app. There’s so many options to help with sleep and I drift off every time. It also tracks your sleep habits, gives you suggestions, and there are other options other than sleep like if you need help with focus, stress, and even assistance with uplifting your mood. There are only two voices to choose from for the guided sleeps but the one I choose works just fine for me, Leah helps me get into a deep sleep every night. Definitely try this app.

Best App Ever. I’ve been using it to mediate every morning for a couple of days now. Sometimes so the 5 minute one, sometimes 3. Always includes a nice little stretch and moment of reflection to set you up nicely for your day. I can honestly say I already feel a change in how my mornings go. I’m more serene and get more done. Highly recommended.

Needs more features. I really love the app but can you guys please add daily affirmations to the app as an option? It’s such a simple feature to add and it would truly cost you nothing and would add nothing to server expenses or overhead/upkeep but I know it won’t go a long way towards improving the mental health of many users on the app, which is why I think many people have downloaded this app. Besides that, the meditations are really good and well rounded and the personalization still has some ways to go/be improved but it is a very nice touch!

Cool app. It’s a good app

Not worth paying for. I’m on a years free trial so I can’t complain but I am not seeing any benefit from this. In fact I would argue it’s having the opposite effect, I’m losing hours of sleep by following these “sleep meditations.” Someone should have told you that an active mind is not going to sleep. Telling me to focus on this and focus on that in that annoying loud voice that never seems to shut up, is not going to put anyone to sleep. I am not complaining, it’s free for a year, but I actually think this app is quite harmful to people suffering from sleep difficulties. I am writing this review at 2.14am thanks to another sleepless night, courtesy of the balance app.

Simply incredible. This App has changed my life. In conjunction with the medication intervention for my mental health this app has been instrumental into teaching the basics of meditation to me and creating such an amazing place for the mind to be in. I have only used the male voice and the tone and intonation the structure has is genuinely supportive, not a a whiff of pretentiousness or condescending tone. I have switched between using this app every day to using it 1-3 times a week and honestly every time I come back to meditation, especially with this app, I am so thankful to do so. The UX is awesome, the app is intuitive, simple, and to the point while providing you with an impression amount of options, it’s just somehow not overwhelming. I will pay the annual rate for the hall once the 1-year free expires. It’s really worth it and we’ll tailored to each person that uses it as it asks you 1-2 questions per meditation to “tune” the practice to you!

Amazing. Within the First few minutes I was able to calm down. I spent 11 minutes on my first day & I feel surprisingly much better. I wish I started meditating much sooner but am glad I found this app to help me

Good app. Bad audio recording. This is a good app. Clean and functional UX. But the audio isn’t as meditative and soft as other apps. It just feels like a person with a mic speaking at a regular pace. Meditative speech should be at a slower pace and softer tone.

If I could have a 6th star to rate this app. I’m hitting my 40’s soon, and never meditated or really seen the value of that before, a skeptic you might say. In the month and a bit since I got the app to try, I’ve moved from skeptic to believer. Do I think there is a mysticism to it no, I think that the breathing and relaxation techniques that this app has given me create a physiological result, like: increased blood flow, mental focus to help you direct muscle areas to relax. After each meditation I settle my mind, and have released some of my tension. I don’t suddenly feel better or less tired, but I’m at peace with where my body and energy is at, and I have a little more focus and clarity to get back to what I want to do. TL;DR If your skeptic, run the experiment and see if it helps you, and if it does keep it up, and if isn’t doesn’t that is okay, as your now open to trying other experiments to see if you feel happier.

Won’t let me cancel my accidental subscription. I have tried multiple times to cancel this app and for some reason it’s still in my subscriptions. I’ve now paid a yearly fee which I never wanted and tried to cancel and now can’t seem to get out of it. I don’t want to be stuck with this app I never use. Please cancel my subscription.

Amazing. Was always skeptical about meditation. When I began dealing with anxiety and even panic attacks, I was encouraged to try the app out. Signed up for the free year and incorporated the daily meditations to my tools for dealing with stress. Haven’t missed a day of meditation in 6 months now, and it’s something I look forward to every day. The results have been extremely noticeable, and I’m back to living like my old self. Couldn’t be more thankful for this app. Bought myself the lifetime subscription.

Lacking. Edit to add: what happened to Ofasu? nothing against Leah, but I got used to Ofasu’s voice and it’s been weird to shift to a different voice when I got to the relaxation training part. The meditation training is really good, but the app really needs the option to incorporate white noise or pleasant music. Primarily to drown out any background noise that will take your focus away, but also to create a bridge between when your instructor gives you space to exercise a technique, and then they chime in again. It can be a bit jarring to practice silent breathing for some time (for example) and then suddenly a voice pops back up. I downloaded the app with a free one year trial, and would only consider renewing and paying if this were an option.

The only meditation app that works for me. I’ve tried pretty much all the meditation apps on the app store and none are as easy to use and as motivating as this one! Meditations are short and to the point and they help you develop important skills like breath control, awareness etc that you can apply to your meditations outside of the app! Really considering purchasing the membership since I am almost finished the foundations plan!

Pricy. I downloaded the app and filled out all the steps then the last step was that there is a yearly payment! So I exit it beacuse I thought it was free! But when I go back to the app everything is accessible! How do I cancel this membership! This is to pricy for me and I wasn’t aware!

Stands out for soothing a nuanced palette of emotions. I’ve been using Balance for a few months and it’s effectiveness makes me always comeback. I was first amazed by it’s well thought out programs to adress specific states your are in, making it so much more adapted and efficient. It’s makes you learn about why meditate too and gives you tools to better mental health practices. Thank you for creating an very sharp and professional app!

Five days and pleasantly thrilled!. Five days in and I am finding Balance to be so well tuned to my needs. Great pace. Great learning. Great encouragement. I am enjoying this experience tremendously and feel like I have embarked on a new, positive journey.

Love the app. The app's versatility means that as my goals change, I can still use the same interface and system. I originally started using it due to chronic insomnia, and now that I have that under control (in large due to the app), I've explored other goals. My physio wants meet to move around every 30 minutes at work? Pomodoro is perfect for that. I'm feeling stuck on a project? The creativity meditation is perfect. Trouble falling asleep? Endless types of solutions. I recommend this app to anyone who wants to take better care of themselves, no matter what that looks like to you!

Worth it. To put it in perspective, this is the only app I pay for. The voice is soooo soothing, the guided meditations are well done, and I use it every night to quiet my mind so I can fall asleep. I’ve tried about a dozen of these types of apps, but this is the only one that is habit forming. And meditation is a good habit to develop.

Awesome. I’ve tried pretty much all the big name meditation apps and this one is hands down my favourite. The plans are really useful and I find it helpful following a daily progression with my meditation. It makes it easier to stay consistent. The questions it asks to personalize you meditations encourage reflection and have kept my motivation up because I’m actively considering the benefits each day. The singles are great as well! I love their wind down, end of the day, and guided relaxation sleep meditation. Overall, awesome app. Definitely do the trial and Foundations I plan and see how you feel at the end of the 10 days.

This could be so good but it’s not. Don’t get me wrong I love the content and the idea behind this app but there is just one big problem that cannot be ignored and that big problem is the beginnings of the meditations on this app The beginnings feel very rushed no matter which meditation you doing they do not do a great job of easing you into the meditation no matter how long or how short the meditation is I think they need to go and learn more from headspace headspace beginnings of their meditations are very good and they feel very easy in the ground you better than this app so I think this app needs to reimagine the beginning of all of their meditations and that’s why I am giving two stars because if the beginning is not good no matter how good the rest of the meditation is you won’t be able to enjoy it because you’re not focussed properly

Great app. So far it has actually really helped I’ve just started the year free trial I’m on day four of the learning how to meditate and I think I’ve started to feel a little better so far

The best meditation app out there. I’ve been meditating for years and this is by far the best app I’ve tried. Every single meditation feels perfectly tailored towards you and how you’re feeling in that moment. I feel so much more empowered to take on challenges than I’ve ever felt before. I also feel like they care about their users, starting from the fact that they gave a free, all inclusive 1-year subscription to everyone.

I would like a refund. I downloaded this app a few minutes ago not realizing there was a cost. It was through an advertisement for another app I was using. There was no indication in this advertisement that there was a cost. Very misleading. I want a refund please.

Best Meditation App Ever. I’ve never written a review for an app. So when I tell you to download this meditation app and try it I mean it. I’ve tried all the main meditation apps and some that aren’t that known. This one is the best bc of how personalized it becomes to you. You go through a series of questions when you first make an account to personalize what you learn and what you want to focus on. And then as you continue to do more meditations and answer more questions it gets even more personal. There aren’t as many meditations on here as other bigger apps yet but I don’t mind because the ones I have found on here have been more helpful than any other meditation sessions on any other app. The before sleep ones on the sleep page are amazing! I think I will be a lifelong subscriber.

Good app. I really like this app, it’s made getting into meditation way easier for me especially with their guided plans and daily check ins. My only qualms with the app is that for the daily check in, for whatever you’re feeling, like for me I was feeling unmotivated a few days in a row and was doing that meditation that was played if you clicked on that feeling but it’s the same meditation every time. I just wish it was something different because I just ended up exiting out of it and picking another feeling to get a different meditation. Another thing is I wish there were more meditations on visualization. Since I know several studies have shown that visualization is almost just as powerful as doing the thing you’re visualizing. Those are the only 2 things other than that amazing app and I only just started but it’s helped me a lot!

Too slow. there are times where the narrator takes 45 seconds to simply explain a basic concept, and other times where they ask a ton of questions to try and understand where i’m at. id rather have an option to select i’m a beginner/intermediate and have some direction, but not 45 seconds of explaining what the definition of gratitude is. after receiving the definition, the dude just kept saying relax and barely talked for 3-4 minutes, i got so bored and couldn’t relax because nothing was happening, why wasn’t he leading me towards gratitude?? some sessions work great but others are a complete waste of time and makes it hard to want to do it daily. i’ll probably start working towards doing on my own or finding a content creator that does a better job and is more focused on what i want. 3/5 and i definitely wouldn’t pay for the subscription had it not been free for a year

Has helped me a lot and also one recommendation. I’ve tried clam and other apps but this finally gave me the opportunity to try the paid version of meditation apps for the first time and I love it! I literally fall fast asleep and have whole nights good rest even though these last couple weeks I haven’t been able to sleep much at all to the point jt felt like a chore to force myself to sleep. This app has so many different categories for different types of help. It also has a nice wake up meditation that I enjoy a lot to start my day. What I recommend is in the sleeping section to put a nightmare help or something. Just a little quick relaxation for any sudden nightmares someone wakes up from. Thank you for generously offering the free trial for a long period i couldn’t appreciate it more! :)

Anxiety Elimination; One of the Best Apps Ever.. I’m only on day one. And even tho I have 1 free year, I’ve already bought the lifetime membership. This is the most amazing meditation app I have EVER encountered. I have the worst anxiety I’ve ever seen. Panic attacks to no end and suffering from anxiety from my current medications that raise my anxiety even more. And the “singles” in the app couldn’t be any more help than I could possibly ask for. They help you get through anything you can think of. Also to note, I’ve never been one to be a meditating type, but this is beyond belief that this app can help in such a way to eliminate my panic attacks so quickly. And no I’m not paid, although I wouldn’t not accept it if it came about ;) Seriously, don’t hesitate to try the free year, you will love it within days.

Absolutely phenomenal. At the beginning I was a bit skeptical, “how can you make specifically personalized plans?“ With the first few you could definitely tell that they were mixed clips because there wasn’t as much feedback you have them. Now it’s so seamless I don’t even think twice about it. This is the most effective app I have ever used with meditation and would highly recommend it to anyone beginning their mindfulness journey. The whole program feels like it was specifically made for you and you only. Just the small things of doing a single for the first time and the app acknowledging it and with later listens going a bit deeper. I was lucky and was able to snag the year free trial of the premium version and it does not disappoint. Thank you to the entire team that made this app possible, you have truly changed my life for the better!

A true skeptic!. Let’s start off by saying I am a skeptic, period! It’s hard to believe that something that looks goods, acts good, and really is good, is good, you know! I Love this app deeply. I NEVER do app reviews but I have to commend the developers of this here app. I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about how it has helped me through my daily life. I’m talking beginning, middle and end of my day. You guys have literally thought of everything that ppl go through on our life journeys and make life so much easier to manage. I have my bouts of depression and debilitating anxiety but when I feel like my day is too hard, I simply remember the easy meditations with Ofosu or just go on the app to hear his voice. It’s very soothing but also the words are extremely helpful. You make me believe that I’m going to see life all the way through and through. I thank you all so much and there’s no amount of ANYTHING that I could give to you all to simply show you my appreciation. Thank you once again.

Insomnia help. So- I have PTSD after my time in the military. I go through awful bouts of insomnia. I downloaded this app last night and it literally came up asking me if I was trying to sleep RIGHT NOW. I clicked yes and it took me into a already ready relaxation meditation thingie. (If you can’t tell, I don’t know much about meditation lol) I was ASLEEP BEFORE THE RECORDING EVEN ENDED and I slept through the night. I haven’t looked at the rest of the app at all, but it gets five stars from me for the fact it got me to sleep so quickly. I downloaded a bunch of different meditation apps last night in my desperation, and this was the only one that offered what I was looking for for free without having to make an account. I only wish I hadn’t spent an hour going through the other apps only to realize I’d need to sign up and pay money.

Best Meditation App. I’ve used several meditation apps before for years, but Balance is definitely my favorite. One of the main reasons why is that the meditations change based on your input, meaning that the narrator remembers your previous experiences and takes into account your ongoing preferences, needs, and challenges. Some meditations change a tiny bit every time you use them, like the morning wake up meditation. Another awesome feature it that each meditation tells you what skills you’re practicing before and after you do them. Ofosu’s voice is also really great. This meditation app for me is my favorite, but you also don’t have to choose just one. Balance can be a great compliment to other apps like Headspace, Ten Percent Happier, and Insight Timer.

Life-Changing!. This app has absolutely changed my life. I always believed that I was “bad at meditating” and that I would never experience the benefits of mindfulness. But Balance makes meditating completely and totally accessible for ANYONE. They really build the meditation foundations from the ground up and cater everything to your preferences. For real, they have meditations for every mood on this app. Meditation has completely changed my outlook on life and has helped me manage the difficult times in ways I never thought were possible. I’ve meditated every day for over 750 days now and it’s all thanks to Balance. Both Leah and Ofosu are incredible guides and the whole Balance team is responsive, supportive, and helpful. So far so good!. I came across this app on a whim through an Instagram ad that offered a really good deal for the first year, so I figured “why not?”. So far, I’m loving it! I love the male voice who does my guided meditations. I’m not sure if everyone gets the same voice but this guy deserves a raise. His voice is sooo soothing and calming. There’s something about it that helps me immediately calm down a bit during my meditations. Honestly, going into this, I thought it would be just another gimmick and it would be impossible to get me to be able to sit still long enough to meditate but it’s been so easy so far! Every day is different. I learn some minor new fact every day. And I love the layout of each meditation. Highly recommend. Excited to see where the next year takes me.

Almost Perfect. This app is so close to being my go-to source for guided meditations. Everything feels so good and responds to feedback intelligently. I’ve even been able to do longer meditations and feel like they’re only a free minutes with the pacing. Really incredible! However, I’m upset that there isn’t an option to check with how you feel and create a meditation from that. The plans are great, especially the beginner and advanced series, but sometimes you don’t want ten days of relaxation in a row. The competitor app I stick with focuses on how you feel physically, mentally, and emotionally to recommend a meditation and then check in again afterwards. An approach like this, with questions about how certain techniques felt and such, would put Balance above the rest. A great app, wonderful for learning how to meditate and expanding your skills, but not yet perfect.

Amazing but PLEASE add Apple Watch integration. I absolutely love this app. It has really helped ease my anxiety and helped me relax and fall asleep at night. There are tons of options and I’ve loved all the ones I’ve tried. I have a very difficult time falling asleep- I cannot shut my brain off and every little noise wakes me up- however I have fallen asleep during the sleep meditations! That’s unheard of for me. I highly recommend this app! My ONLY criticism is that I cannot control this from my Apple Watch which is frustrating for me. I’d also love to set up a playlist of sorts because sometimes I like listening to multiple sessions before I sleep and I don’t like having to break from my relaxed state to go to my phone and find the next one I want- it’d be nice to queue it up. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

grateful for this app. I’ve been using Balance for a couple of years now and would recommend it to anyone. I love the personalization of the meditations, the plans to work through, and the quick breathing exercises. This app has been a huge support to me through some difficult times. I love that it can help me calm down immediately in a difficult moment and help me set longterm meditation goals, like working through all the basic and advanced tracks. I don’t have any complaints about the app at all but I do have one feature request— I would love to be able to “queue” one of the sleep sounds to play after a sleep meditation. I use the guided meditations to drift off and it’d be great if I didn’t have to reopen my phone to pick my sleep sounds track afterwards. Thank you Balance!

I love this app. Hands down best app I’ve tried! I’ve tried them all, but none like Balance. First off, they give you a one year free trial. Which is very generous of them. No other meditation app has that. Second, the app has all sorts of categories for what you are trying to target. For beginners they have a foundations plan that teaches you how meditation works. After every meditation they have you rate it and then the app tailors it based on your needs. For example, if you like more or less talking in in the sessions? body scan or breath focus? Before every meditation they give you useful information regarding how it is beneficial. It also gives you a simple 3 question quiz to see if you retained the information they teach you. This has improved my life and when the trail ends, I am definitely starting my subscription. For those of you reading it is definitely worth a try.

A really awesome meditation app!. I saw on Instagram that they had a deal for a year free and of course I hoped on it because meditation has become a very important part of my life. This app helps me calm down and stay relaxed so much. I begin to realize that when I go without meditation my brain becomes very cloudy and I forget to take care of myself. But when I do meditate, it helps me stay clear and go forth with the day. It brings in the positive reinforcements to the negative thoughts that can sometimes take over every bit of my mind. Also it’s only 5 minutes! You can change it to make it longer, but I really love that it quick and easy so I can have my time in the morning and then go forth and be great! This is the only app I’ve ever reviewed so you know it’s good.

Exceeded my expectations. This app has truly impressed me since I work in product, and have attempted to create mindfulness/ meditation apps like this one. In the last couple of years I’ve read a bunch of books on mindfulness for personal reasons, and though I truly believe in the concept, it has still been a challenge to put in to action, especially meditation. I’ve always wanted to meditate, but I made excuses that I didn’t have time. With this app tho, the meditation practices are truly amazing and it has made me want to come back to this app. But at the end of the day, we are all responsible for taking the first action to meditate! Stop making excuses that you’re too busy bc you have 3 minutes to spare. Just try it when you’re drinking coffee or having breakfast. And this app would do the rest :)

It’s actually helps!. So life is hard for almost all of us to a certain extent. We all have more worries than not. Bills and such. Even if we can manage everything. Sometimes we have the weight of the world on our shoulders. I know I feel that way a lot of the time. So I worry and my anxiety tends to take over. I need some help and I think I have found it in this app. Sometimes, the simple things are what helps us through. Meditation has always sounded interesting to me but never actually tried. Until now. And I have to say it helps calm me. Mainly because we have to program ourselves to think a certain way and balance our minds with training our minds with daily reminders that this app does. I’m new here but I think I will stay. I feel better already. Hope you all feel better as well. God bless.

Meditation Magic 🤩. i’m going to start off this review by saying that i am a generally stressed person. school, work, personal life, presentations, etc. so you can imagine once i heard of meditating, i was going to find an app that could truly help me. balance is by far the best one i’ve used. it is free, and though it does have a premium feature that requires payment, i feel like you have a good selection of things to choose from regardless. the app itself is very organized and calming. i’ve been meditating with the app for about a week now, right before bed, and it’s been amazing. it really does help me get into a calmer state and slows my heart rate down. the voices are very calming, and i like how they have plans to teach about meditating techniques and tips and tricks that could help. i used to have headspace, simple habit, and calm, but i have deleted them in lieu of balance!! you won’t regret getting this app!

Highly Recommended. I’ll say right from the get go, I don’t leave reviews unless I’m highly satisfied or dissatisfied. I’ve been dabbling in meditation recently, practicing a few times by myself without guidance and did “ok” but never achieved any real sense of mindfulness. I’ve also tried other apps that did not offer what I needed or was looking for. So, I decided to download this app. I personally thought the price was steep but the 1 FREE YEAR subscription before you buy was what sold me. So far, it’s worth the money I’ll be spending. There any so many things it offers! I used to have a nature sounds radio I’d play as a kid to help me sleep. This app has those sounds! Ocean, forest, stream, etc. Meditation is very involved. They have foundations they teach you, and help with. And offer the guidance voice in multiple voices depending on your preference! So to say the least, I’m very happy. Thanks Balance!!

Not for everyone. Conceptually this app is great, but it is not right for everyone. I have been out of my meditation practice for years, so thought it would be best to start as a beginner again. I only did three days before deleting this app. Each day was breath focused, which is not great for certain types of anxiety and PTSD. In fact focusing on breathing can cause a panic attack to happen. (It has happened to me) The meditations were some of the worst I’ve experienced, they were poorly done and left me feeling worse each time. I initially downloaded this after a physician suggested I get back into meditation. This is not right for me. Each day the teacher would say something along the lines of ‘you will always be able to breathe so just breathe’... I have a neurological disease that causes me to stop breathing, and I have been put in the ICU for it... that statement being repeated over and over, was awful!!! I hope that others find benefits from this app, but if you have any serious issues with trauma, anxiety or a breathing problem this might not be right for you. I wish I had known. I will keep looking.

Helps immensely. Balance is an amazing app. I am on an 11 day streak after first downloading and signing up for the free trial. It’s helped me immensely. I suffer from a panic disorder, major depressive disorder and PTSD. Balance gives me something to really look forward to before bed. It helps me feel clearer headed and calmer. I’ve tried meditation before and it’s never stuck. I will be getting a lifetime subscription as soon as I am able to financially. There’s so much that’s great about the app from the instructors. I choose to learn from Leah who has the serene voice of an angel. The sleep meditation helps me a lot as well. I recommend doing the 10 minute versions daily for each one of your sessions. I’m deeply grateful this app exists and it helps me more than I can put into words. It’s really good stuff. Thank you and Namo Amituofo!

Almost perfect!. I have been using the app daily and I really love everything about it! There are plenty of choices but it's not overwhelming, and I really love how they include useful information to actually develop skills within the meditations! For example, in the sleep course they "teach" you how to sleep, and it is filled with relevant scientific data. My only issue is that for some reason it does not sync well with Apple Health. The syncing is delayed and it often skips many days. This is frustrating to me because every other meditation app I've used exported the data perfectly to Apple Health, so it almost makes me want to use other apps just because of this one thing. I would really appreciate it if they fixed this because everything else about the app is so great.

I have been using this app for 9 months now, I got it to support my deeper practice using the “Calm” app. While Calm feels very transcending, Balance is a very particular app that sets it apart from other apps. I know this may sounds odd, but the actual doing of meditation may be a different experience to everyone, particularly when it comes to sitting times with varying times. Balance does just that, it literally teaches you how to “do it” by breaking down all the “types of meditations” and fully engaging you in the intention. It is a VER practical muscle builder approach to meditation. Now, recent updates have made this app even better! They have added “immersive” approach to meditations. My personal favorite is the forest immersion. The meditation allows you to visualize yourself in a forest and incorporates sounds cues and vibrations on your phone to support your immersion into the visualization retreat. It is an ABSOLUTELY amazing experience, very deep calming feeling! Their sleep meditation are also very engaging, it is not a story per se but rather a technical approach to the easing of the mind and body into sleep mode. In general, the app supports any other app like App in building the technique muscle and improve meditation.

ADD Mind. I’ve tried to have a consistent meditation practice for years (20) and tried many good apps since apps became a thing. Not until Balance have I had a consistent practice that has spanned months. I have made so much progress in consistency and the ability to sit. I went ahead and bought a lifetime membership well before my trial year was over. I just love the way the app caters to me. I’ve shared it with everyone I know! My one complaint is that there are not more longer sits. The advanced plans have longer sits but the singles are all relatively short. I hope that they will add some 20-30 minute singles as well as more eyes open meditations as I found that tough but extremely helpful with ADD. Alll said, thanks for the app. You are doing a real service to the world!

This has made my life better.. The Balance app is the only thing I’ve found that has made me WANT to create a meditation practice. I am now on a 77-day streak (the app keeps track), and it feels glorious! I love the variety - that there are not just breath-based meditations, but visualizations, gratitude meditations, multi-sensory check-ins, and even interactive experiences. I started with a 5-minute practice and have now moved up to 10 minutes, with the new Daily meditations that are catered to how you are feeling! And not only does the practice help me to de-stress in the moment, but I can feel that after time, as this becomes a habit, my emotional resilience is strengthening. I am more able to bounce back from a difficult encounter or event, instead of letting it cloud over my whole outlook for a day or many days. I am a huge believer in the benefits of a meditation practice now:). Thank you, Balance!

Best sleep ever. Between last Saturday and Thursday, I got about 10 hours of sleep …. Maybe 14 if you add up all the little minutes of sessions too… I was miserable. Struggling with anxiety and life stuff adding to that, I can’t get my brain to shut off. Saw an ad on Instagram for Balance with the free use for a year and decided to give it a try. Nothing else seems to be working and I feel like the lack of sleep was just making everything worse… so why not? Day one, I got 8.75 hours of sleep. Day two, 7.5, and last night I got almost 7 (but it was my own fault for staying up too late). I know I downloaded it mostly for anxiety and while the daily meditations are not super interesting right now to me as I need to first get better sleep, better sleep is happening thanks to this app.

The best meditation app I’ve used!! (Much better than headspace). The one year free trial is so generous and sweet! It makes me really feel like the creators care about wellness and aren’t money hungry like a lot of wellness items/services tend to feel. The app itself is so calming I like the voice of the guide. I also like how it adapts to your goals and mood for each day, giving you a different but still relevant mediation each day. I use it morning and night to help me wake up and fall asleep and even sometimes throughout the day. This mediation app is much better than headspace! Headspace has become an app that you can’t do anything AT ALL without a subscription, you can download it for free but can’t access any of the meditations, balance isn’t like that. Besides the price, it’s an over cuter interface and design! I actually look forward to mediation each day

If perfection was an app.. I had to move suddenly back in Italy, I needed some sort of support to cope with some major family matters. I gave a try to this app because the year long trial. Further getting to know the mission of the funders, it really warmth my heart. I thought maybe the marketing strategy got me, or maybe these people really care about mental health and they work on making it as much accessible as possible. The grief tool was outstanding. A few days in the app and I’m already considering to buy the lifelong membership, I’m so fascinated by all the help this app offers. The voice of the guide is incredibly calming and the plan is personalized to my needs and my level. Thank you so much, your app made this challenging time of my life not so impossible to bear.

Love this app. This is the best meditation app I’ve tried so far. So happy they’re giving you the first year for free. I would continue to pay for this after my first year because it’s worth it. As a beginner, it starts you off slow and teaches you the foundation, which I’ve found extremely helpful. The biggest challenge to meditating regularly is finding time. This app is tailored to you and your time and can be as little as 3 minutes each day. I’ve found that it has decreased my level of stress and significantly improved my sleep in as little as 2-3 days. The app also has other meditation programs outside of the daily foundation building. Its sleep meditation works much better than those bed time stories from other apps. I highly recommend this!

The only meditation app that feels like a mentor guiding me. I signed up for the free year, and it was a slow start but I finally started meditating regularly and really noticed my improved mindfulness and mood in life. Then my trial ended. I figured I’d learned the techniques, I knew the exercises and mindfulness so why bother with the app anymore? From time to time I would try other guided meditations and free trials. None of them got me invested in meditation like Balance. None of them felt like a ‘practice’, they didn’t feel like mentors or guides. The meditations were just breathing exercises, not lessons and teachings like Balance. I came back to Balance and now I’m excited about my practice again. Other apps and services felt like they had 50 teachers all giving their own “intro to meditation” practice. Balance feels like 1 mentor who guides you and teaches you as you grow in your practice.

Best Guided meditation App in the AppStore. This the best app for guided meditation app. Trust me I tried all the popular meditation apps available. They were all good, but they were expensive and not worth it for the price you pay. Most importantly their guided practice won’t make you do meditation consistently. In meditation, consistency is the key (I’m not a meditation guru, speaking from my personal experience). It is very affordable and it helped me with sleep, atrial fibrillation, focus, and stress when I was diagnosed with a medical condition for almost 4 months. I recommend it to all my friends. I think this app is for everyone and anyone who does work from home after post covid. The great and easy-to-use user interface is simple and does not come with unnecessary bells and whistles like other known apps for meditation. Highly recommend. I would give more stars if I could. I’ve tried a lot of mental health apps over The years. Some of them are better than others. A lot of apps give you a free week trial and I usually end up canceling after the first week. A lot of apps ask you questions about your mental health goals but then fail to truly customize your experience based on that feedback. Balance is not only a beautifully designed application with a intuitive and compelling user experience, it’s also a powerful tool for progress and habit building. I was also impressed that they offer a whole year free (with the option to donate any amount of that first year should you choose to). I’m pretty confident I’ll be happy to pay for another year when my trial ends. This app is really refreshing in it’s approach and I highly recommend it.

Helps with anxiety. I deal with anxiety and feeling scared of many scenarios that happen in my head. And I’ve been pushing back for a long time getting treatment to deal with these issues since I’m scared of being judged. But I felt as if I needed to take responsibility of my actions since they were starting to deeply affect my personal life and relationships with people I held dear to me. And I saw this on Instagram and decided to try it out since it is a year trial for free and I wanted to at least try it and the starting meditation really helped to calm me and when I felt my anxiety rise from the scenarios playing in my head I found an audio to help deal with that. This has made me feel calm and level headed. Thank you for everything you all have done for people that struggle with mental health issues.

Grateful for this app. The only app I turn to every single day. It’s taught me how to meditate, go to sleep, return to my intentions instead of wandering off, and helped me find more hope and satisfaction in my life. Starting a year ago, I have done all the Foundations in the Plan, then the added Plans like Happiness, Productivity, or Gratitude, and then moved on through the Singles. I use Sleep and The Return to Sleep most nights. Now I repeat my favorites such as days 7, 8, or 9 in Productivity in the mornings. Usually select 15 minutes Sleep at night, and 5 to 15 minutes in the morning with whatever I want to focus on; it’s like having a personal coach. Love having choice of both Leah and Ofuso’s voices to choose from. I now meditate on my own for a minute or two throughout the day and refresh. No downsides. Highly recommend.

Wow!!. I've tried many of the other apps, I'm a huge fan of Jon Kabat-Zinn and have done many of his guided meditations before "apps" even existed. I've been out of practice for a few years and found the Balance app and am only a few days in, but man, this blows everything else away. Well worth every penny, and even though I'm trying it for free right now. I'm so thankful for the offer to do so because I might not have given it a chance having been disappointed by other meditation apps in the past. I haven't listened to Leah's meditations yet (it gives you choices when you start), but I highly recommend Ofosu as his voice is the epitome of graceful guidance. If I could give the rating more stars, I would. Thank you, Balance for helping me pick up and stick with my mediation practice after so many false starts over the past few years!

Best meditation/mindfulness app I have ever used. I have tried a lot of mediation and mindfulness apps over the past few years and I never seen to be able to stick with any of them. Balance is different then most and is wonderful to use. You can customize the times and voices, it adjusts meditations based on your needs and progress, and it is very patient and understanding that mindfulness is often a struggle for many. Also, the singles like Relax, Focus, etc. are very useful. One of the best parts of the app are the sleep and nap portions! When I can’t sleep this app is actually the only thing that I have found that can lull me into a slumber. And the nap portion is incredible - it gently guides you into dozing off and then plays the most wonderful, peaceful sound when it’s time to wake up. I have never really attempted or enjoyed naps until I found this app!

Immaculate App. Immaculate. One of the first times I've sought to write a review rather than receiving a constant pop up to do so. I've been meditating on and off for 14 years, and I've found it a struggle to maintain a routine this past year. The personalization, instructors, gamification, and guidance have really made every day's meditation easy and enjoyable. I may choose to do my own meditations on top of the ones offered here, but they've helped me establish a daily habit I look forward to and expanded my horizons/knowledge beyond what I've learned in my personal practice. The reason for supplementing would be to have more quiet time rather than being guided (the app offers this as well, though you don't really need an app to guide you in silence). Perfectly designed tracks for building a meditation habit into your life and seeing tangible benefits.

Best meditation app. I never write reviews for apps but this one is an exception. During this quarantine, I’ve made it my goal to better myself and my mental health. After trying a few other meditation apps, I found Balance to be the best. They have numerous plans available to fit your needs and they track your progress. After completing Foundations 1, I was hesitant to purchase a subscription to continue. After a month, I decided it is worth paying to continue practicing my meditation and mindfulness. Meditation is a slow process and I urge you to be patient. I am current on Foundations 5 and a few other plans and I have noticed a significant change in my daily life including my mood and interactions. Thank you Ofosu and Leah, this is hands down the best app and purchase I’ve made.

Joy! Helped me with ADHD focus. I’ve never reviewed an app before, but I felt compelled to share how much I love this app. I tried this because of the free year. Now I’ve gotten the lifetime option. Something I’ve never done before for an app! First, I have ADHD, so I figured I would try it but I wouldn’t be able to sustain it. But there’s a really nice variety of tools here and ways to customize them. I have chronic migraines so I went through the pain plan and I use the pain meditation every day. It’s been very helpful. But there’s been two things that have made this life changing for me: 1. I meditate consistently. Every day. That’s never been sustainable for me before. The variety of times and choices are just what I’ve needed. 2. I can focus at work. There’s several tools to help focus and find inspiration. And a pomodoro meditation. I was never able to do pomodoro before, but with the choice of background sounds and the option for a meditation during the breaks, it’s been amazing. Today, I was so happy that I was able to focus that I actually giggled with joy. So I just wanted to say thank you, Balance. Also, looks like you’re working on improving your accessibility, Balance. Thank you for this. It really helps me and others who use assistive technology. Keep it up!

It’s like meeting yourself for the first time!. I have been a skeptic in the past but I was bored while in rehab and decided to give this a try. With 3 minutes a day gradually making a noticeable difference, I decided to add different and longer meditations. I just got done with my second 10 minute session and I can honestly say if I knew meditation could be like this, I would have never got into drugs. This is like euphoric as pain meds and more relaxing than Xanax. This is also a great way to get to know yourself. It’s made me love myself and now I feel just fine being alone. It’s helped my mood, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. It’s free for an entire YEAR. Do yourself the best favor you can possibly do for yourself and change your life! If it’s already a great life then make it even better!

Finally, a Meditation App that Sticks!. Balance was extremely attractive to me from the get-go. From the simplistic and easy-to-follow design to the specification aspect to the user. With each day, they’re asking simple questions, collecting data, and using your responses to fine-tune your meditation for the day. In a strange way, you feel cared for! I like that you can choose: the voice, and the length of time. Most days, I have just 5 min, and it’s been so easy to jump into that. 10 min for days when I can allow it and need it. I also found the Single one-off meditations very enjoyable. There’s more unique ones such as: Creativity/Innovation and ones for Couples. I loved doing the Couples one with my husband. All in all, the best meditation app I’ve tried yet (and I’ve tried quite a bit). Thanks, Balance! Keep up the good work!

My favorite next to Headspace!. Even though I know these two apps aren’t affiliated, Headspace was my go-to meditation app for a LONG time (2 years) for when I first started my meditative journey. Now that Balance has come along, I feel like I have two of the absolute BEST apps helping guide me along this journey. I’ve also been using Elevate which, ironically, I found out was behind Balance AFTER I got the Balance app. Elevate is by far my favorite ‘brain games’ app though, with Peak right behind it. All in all, a fantastic app. The people in the audios don’t speak in an overly mystic, weird, distracting kind of way and their advice is always practical, well explained, and easy to instigate. I love this app and can’t wait to see all the benefits it’ll bring me! Thank you to the people who developed it and everyone who contributed to creating it!

i would recommend this app to EVERYONE.. i’m not one to ever review an app. i’m not sure i ever have but this one deserves it all. i have a hard time sleeping and other apps never really helped, they just made my mind wander even more. Ofosu’s voice is so soothing and something about the sleep meditations put me right to bed and i’ve been in very deep sleeps. as someone who is prone to nightmares i’ve noticed that i haven’t experienced any since falling asleep. i feel truly cared for and the 1 year free subscription is amazing. i’m not off limits to anything and i can use whatever resources i can find on there which is incredible. when my year is up i will for sure start to pay for it and that’s also something i’ve never done. i truly truly think this app is incredible and suggest it to anyone wanting to mediate, relax, de-stress, sleep better, have a clearer mind.. etc. truly the best app on my phone

Make it in many languages. First, I want to thank you guys for this amazing app. For any feeling, there is a meditation that will make you relax and understand what you are going through. What people want more than that? That’s all in! But because this app is very important, it reasonable to think about making it in other languages too. Many adults nowadays are depressed and tired, but they don’t know how to speak english. For example, I wanted to tell someone about this app because I am sure it is going to help him, but he doesn’t understand English. In my opinion, translating the app to Arabic, Spanish, and Chinese, will cover 80% of the speakers in the world. This will be a huge step forward for the app. Please consider this update, many people need it. Thank you.

Highly Recommended. I have always been into meditation and in recent years fell out of the habit. I didn’t think I had the time in my life anymore. I saw that this was free for a year so I figured I would give it a try. This app has successfully launched me back into a regular practice again! There are so many different options from core practices to teach skills and focused meditation for specific purposes such as stress, creativity and much more. This app has helped me manage stress, anxiety and severe overthinking. If you have ever considered meditation or struggle with it, I would high recommend giving this a try. The only disappointment sometimes is I wish there were more option for less guidance as you progress and what happened to the driving meditation?? Seems it disappeared with the recent update.

God Bless Ofosu. My sister got me this app as a gift during one of the mentally, hardest times of my life. I committed to it in desperation to help myself get better. I can not stress the positive change that this app introduced into my life. I had mediated before and used other meditation apps but Balance is so calming supportive and was most importantly the right app for me. It may not be the right app for you but give it a try you never know. I can already tell a difference. I’ve been told that I would benefit from meditation for years but I didn’t think I would ever be able to sit still and calm my mind. I started my free annual trial 3 days ago. I have made myself take the time each morning and throughout the day to participate in the various meditations that are offered in the app. I have been amazed that I have actually been able to relax and calm down with these meditations. I’m noticing less mind wondering and increased focus. We are so fast to help others while ignoring our own needs. I am so thankful for this annual trial membership. I hope that others are able to get the benefits that I have discovered these last few days and I look forward to continuing to set aside time for myself daily.

An opportunity for a better you every day!!!. Balance does exactly that. It balances you for your day or during your day or whenever you need to use it. I got into meditation to calm my nervous system and be able to call back techniques for when I was stressed or activated. This app has so many options for meditations that range from 5mins and up so it’s great when you just need to center yourself real quick or if you have time you can do longer! The voices they use are soothing that is a must for me if I’m going into a guided meditation. I found this app by accident and I’m at the point where I might end up purchasing it. Meditation has become such a valuable part of my life that this is almost necessary, truly everyone could use this!
