Makes No Sense!. I deleted this app. The activities make no sense and in order to speed things up, it requires purchasing in game bucks because it costs 11 bucks and up to speed things up. The most recent activity made no sense either. In order to finish one part of the activity, I had to keep using up resources that I also needed to finish the activity. Why? It would never get done. I started the mars activity when it came out and I need the green eggs, the blanket, the newspaper and the martian to get the egg monster. But getting each of them also meant that I had to use one of the four to get the other three. So unless I had an unlimited amount of in game bucks, it would never get done. Even then, it still would never get done. So I deleted this app. Games should not hide behind a paywall. It ruins the experience. Just make your app not free. So at least a paywall would make sense.

Mad cash grab. Constantly bombarding you with slash priced bundles that would help you progress, things are always just out of your reach in moving forward or things take too long. I have an issue with clickables, I’ve accidentally sold things I didn’t intend to, or assigning a character to do a task I didn’t want them to because I was trying to scroll through the list, and when the monsters come out to scare, they run in the least optimal direction or they’ll run past people and won’t scare them. Certain tasks seem unattainable or broken. I just achieved some sort of goal and have evidence of having not received anything for it as well, it was what prompted me to write this. I loved goosebumps growing up and I do appreciate ads not being blatantly shoved in my face but it’s still not fun to play when the ads and the cash are an absolute necessity to play at anything past a snails pace.

Inventory disappearing. I loved this game at first. But as I advance through the levels, the tasks become harder to compete. It takes days to craft certain items you need to get to the next level.....only to have them disappear from inventory. I am so frustrated and have contacted customer service. I just want to items to be replaced. I even spent a little money on this game. But I’m done if they don’t fix the glitch causing my items to disappear. Now I’m even more discouraged reading the ratings. Other people had this issue and obviously it still has not been resolved. Don’t waste your time like I did. I’m so frustrated. Also I find it pretty ridiculous that most of my tasks require dollars to complete [actual money]. This is a child’s game..... I will not spend any more money if the items will just disappear.

Enjoying this game so far.... Edited* Adding another star, I’m liking this game more and more. There’s room for improvement, but it’s a pretty new game with tons of potential. I’m hoping there will be expansions soon, it seems like I may be coming up on the highest level pretty quickly. The devs have done a great job, fun and keeps me playing multiple times a day.* It’s a very cute game, pretty fun so far. I seem to have a lot of technical problems with it though, I get an error that says it “can’t connect to the internet” frequently. I know I’m connected, and don’t have this issue with any other games, so it has to be a problem with this app. I also feel a little annoyed with the sale bundles. There was a bundle for 5 bucks, which included a character that was sold separately for 40 goosebump dollars. I ended up buying that character and it automatically removed her from the bundle deal, but the price stayed the same. I feel like if a significant part of the bundle is removed, it should either be replaced with something else or the cost should be lowered. Minor things that won’t stop me from playing, but I probably won’t spend any actual money on it. On the plus side, you can pretty much get unlimited goosebump dollars from the drive in right now by watching ads, however I suspect the particular glitch will be corrected pretty soon, haha. Overall, decent game, I’ll stick with it for quite a while I think.

Fantastic!. Ever since I was a kid I loved Goosebumps and now there is a neat game that has all of the monsters and you can even build your own town! It is a pretty great game except one thing (this is for you developers): there is a bug (or glitch) in which once I used the lawn gnomes for like the third time the all went back to there garden except for one and now it’s just roaming in the streets with no purpose and I am unsure if this is a bug or glitch; anyway, please fix this and thanks for bringing my favorite childhood tv show into a game!!!🙂 ————————————————— I am back on the same day and I found the same bug as the one listed about the lawn gnomes, IT HAPPENED With THE MUMMY TOO!! And to add onto that, their annoying sound effects still linger; it makes this sort of sound when they are roaming around the town giving people frights... They would usually go back to the places ( the mummy and the lawn gnomes ) but they are still scaring people even if they are done. If this is a bug, please fix it, I really enjoy this game and it’s still good except for the bug listed above. Lastly, I’ve enable notifications, but haven’t received any I’m unsure if this is a bug but thank you for a great game anyway...😊

So Fun!!. I think this is my first game review ever and I just wanted to say that this game is really really great!! It is an idle game but there are options you can choose where you don’t have to wait 5 hours to do anything (though this doesn’t always move the story along). I also love that it isn’t one of those pay to play games that most games are. It’s not impossible to get what you want, but it is a bit slower that most people would probably prefer. It took me one or two days to get slappy’s mansion. plus I LOOOOVE the theme feature of this game. Halloween!!!!! Most city games are just cities, but this is halloween year round, and I love that. It’s definitely worth a try. Graphics are beautiful

PLEASE fix the mansions!!!. I love this game, but you guys have got to fix the mansions in the stories. I have been stuck on the same quest in the 12 Screams of Christmas for days because I cannot win a single spirit board from the mansion! I have played the Marcus Mansion scene over 50 times and have not won a single spirit board to pass the quest. (And I have to win 3!!!) I don’t have this problem with any other monster scenes that I have, I only have this problem with the short term stories that are added to the game for a limited time. PLEASE fix this problem, I can see having to play once or twice to win one, but having to play over 50 times and never winning a single one is a huge problem and a waste of time. I have never finished a single story because of this problem. PLEASE FIX!!! Thank you

Disappointed!!!. When going into the game this morning I got an error message along the lines saying something about slappy needed to relaunch the game, so I closed it and reopened it, after that I noticed my goosebumps dollars have all disappeared except for 1 earlier today out of nowhere. I thought it was a bug so I refreshed the game and still no luck. I’ve logged out and logged back into and nothing. I’ve watched numerous ads to get all of my goosebumps dollars to complete quests and I’m disappointed that they’ve disappeared out of nowhere! Another thing is I’ve had multiple characters completing tasks and I am not given the reward! Only the coins and “experience” (not sure what to call it. it’s extremely difficult to complete quests when you have characters costing so much goosebumps dollars when there’s not a lot of options for people to spend real money to get them.

Love this game. I have been playing this game for about 5 years. The animations are pretty cute, lots of different things to do once your town is built up some. At this point, I can play for hours and not run out of things to do. Initially I didn’t purchase any extras, just did the dailies. After a while, I did buy some bundles for the special events and extra coins to expand my town more. I’ve never read the books. But I love Halloween, so I enjoy it. On a few occasions over the years, I have run into issues, from purchase glitches, to questions about missing animations, to once I accidentally deleted all my progress!! I thought I had lost it all. But each and every time I have contacted their customer support, in the end they have completely fixed it all beyond my expectations. I would 100% recommend this game and I love the dedicated employees.

Pretty good. This game’s decent. It plays a lot like the Family Guy app, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing - I liked that one too. The only complaint I have is that the scare-meter sometimes drops a full 10% after about an hour or so. This wouldn’t be so bad if some of the monsters weren’t so expensive, but what ends up happening is you pay 2, 3x the amount you thought you would just to get back up to where you were. It’s just a bit aggravating, because it’s also on a 24-hr countdown. Maybe it gets easier at higher levels but... eish. Other than that it’s a fun app, if you like... city building, or whatever this is. Edit: Changed the rating because it turns out that the scare-meter dropping so fast was a bug, and not a feature. Good game that stays pretty true to the series I loved when I was little. One thing that would definitely make this game even better is a nuke option similar to Family Guy, where you can remove all objects at once to redecorate your town. Tapping and holding each and every object right now is an absolute nightmare (if you’re super into decorating... which I kinda am). If it’s not your kinda thing then this game’s perfect.

Good concept…some buggy features. I think this is a good game. It’s interesting especially for those who grew up with goosebumps. It’s not hard to advance in the game. I’d say the biggest problem is some of the bugs. For the characters, some of their actions will be locked until you buy a certain item. But once you buy the item required, that locked option disappears. You can’t even perform the action after buying the item. Secondly, in the Sader shop, items will appear that you don’t have access to yet or that you cannot get because it was a from a limited time pack/event. Why have it in the shop if we don’t have the ability to even earn the item?

Love the game, still some bugs. This game is very cute and fun! Almost no ads and a nice idle game setup that’s addictive but not toooooo addictive. And I’m loving the new Halloween challenges! :) The only thing keeping this game from being 5 stars are two pretty significant bugs - 1. Items disappear a LOT. I usually notice with rare items that I’m saving up to build with or finish stories, but it happens extremely often. Perhaps I’m accidentally deleting or selling items? It would be nice to make a prompt if a non-common item is deleted that asks “are you sure you’d like to a delete this rare item?” 2. The cash disappears!! I have been saving up for weeks, I was at 70 dollars and then randomly went back down to the 40s, I saved back up to 70s again today and then restarted the game and now I’m in the 30s?! This is extremely frustrating, especially for the cash... Especially because I have no idea why it’s happening :/ I contacted help about this and they were really responsive and offered to put the items back but said it would require a game shutoff for 12 hours. That’s no big deal and I really appreciate their support. The only problem is that this happens every other day so consistently contacting help for missing items is pretty ridiculous. Hopefully this issue is fixed so I don’t have to quit/delete the game

Quest don’t save, missing items, missing cash. Ugh. Game play is great, quests are plentiful and not quickly accomplish to keep you busy, however more often than not the game back dates, doesn’t save quests, quest items disappear, etc. I have spent a lot of money on this game for premium items and a lot of the time the cash won’t come through, items will go missing, or things along those lines. I have contacted customer support several times only to be blow off entirely with no response or to be asked what is missing and nothing further to be done about it. No matter how much detail provided or how thoroughly explained the situation is, there is never a resolution. Could be a very well put together game without these issues. Nobody wants to spend money or time on items/quests and not receive them or have them disappear.

Coolness. Great idea for a game loving the night mode all the time! I have a suggestion thought because right now having friends is pointless and really no point in having them.. why not make it like Simpson tapped out where you can have friends click on their town tap 3 buildings for money and move on! Both parties will benefit from it. When there's an event how about we get the event currency for visiting a friends town during event times. If one thing is for sure tapped out got it right. This magic event is killing me and I've been grinding feeling like I'm getting nowhere!! I event got the magician which I think is SUPER cool! I would just like to see some new stuff I know y'all are a business and need to make money and stuff but making a game a grind takes from the fun factor and gets deleted. Thank you.

Pretty Fun Game. Out of nowhere I had a resurgence in interest for the Goosebumps books and lore. Ironically, it was just a matter of weeks after this rekindled interest that this game was announced. Fast forward to the release of it last night and I found myself immediately playing it. I have now put in about 1.5-2 hours worth of gameplay in total. While the system of gameplay is nothing new (it’s been done quite literally thousands of times) what makes the game enjoyable is, of course, the fun and spooky feel of the Goosebumps atmosphere. The concept is clever and, in a funny way, plays out just like the books do. That is to say, there is an unlikely group of kids finding clues and solving mysteries while the creatures they’re attempting to combat are terrorizing both them and their town. This is, in essence, how the game works. You send kids on missions to unlock clues while simultaneously building your town and terrorizing it with unlocked creatures.

I want to like it.... Update: the game did fine for a bit but it’s frustrating that you buy the gem tower and all it gives you is the yellow gems. I send an email to support and I got a BS excuse that it’s “random” well when you pay $4.99 for an item you expect it to be random. I’m over 2 months playing daily all I get is the yellow gem every 24 hours. I’ve gotten one blue gem and one black gem. But out of 2 months playing daily. 99% I get the yellow gem. It’s ridiculous. Might delete this game I want to like it but the game glitches A LOT. Like the monsters will come out and disappear but the people will still be screaming around. While the sign says “monster resting”. The graphics are also pretty subpar. Like I said I want to like it but as much updating as it does than it should not make me forceclose anymore :( so sad. I want to like it. Also items disappear after placing in inventory. Like I can’t save because all the sudden my items disappear!! :( ugh

Getting Goosebumps. As someone who read all Goosebumps and Goosebumps Horrorland Books I was thrilled when I saw that this game was coming out in May of 2018. I immediately preordered it and have been playing since this game was released. This is truest the best free town simulator and in terms of a pay wall you won’t find one. Not once have I ever felt pressured into buying any IAPs. The customer support is fantastic too. Any time you have a problem you just type it into the chat and usual receive a response either the same day or within 24 hours. (The longest I’ve ever waited was 30 hours.) When you do contact them they are more than happy to fix you problems and will credit you back anything that was lost during that time. I would HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone looking for a great town simulator without any money gimmicks. Thanks PixOwl for this great game! Update: This game has gotten progressively more p2p and it is difficult if not impossible to complete or unlock new stories outside of events.

Love it but room for improvements. I love the Goosebumps game but I am experiencing some bug issues with this app one of the issues and I don’t know if this should be happening or not but some of the monsters are disappearing when they are supposed to be visible when they are scaring the character they are after another issue I’m noticing is the mummy character doesn’t disappear after he is done scaring the citizens every time I summon him they keep multiplying I’m not exactly sure if this is supposed to happen or not but if this isn’t supposed to be happening please fix these issues but other than that this is a great app if you are a big fan of Goosebumps movies but seeing this app just came out 2 days ago I’m giving it a 5 star review because I know the bugs will be fixed in this game so if you haven’t downloaded the Goosebumps game then download it now you won’t regret it so if you are reading this what are you waiting for download this app right now don’t let these little bugs stop you from downloading it they haven’t stopped me from playing this game so start playing the Goosebumps game today

Still holds up!. This game is really great. I enjoyed the game for about a year and had tons of fun. I put it down for a about 8 months because I had a child and just got busy with life/work...but I recently started to play it again and was able to pick right up and enjoy it even more now. Love the look and aesthetic (the detail and animations are truly amazing), and the stories are really fun to play out. Plenty of content, and I really really enjoy making my little town. As someone who grew up reading the books in the 90s seeing all the characters I grew up reading in my little town is a huge nostalgic plus as well. At the same time the game is simple enough that a kid could play it and have fun. If you are a fan of city/town building games, idle games or just a fan of goosebumps/horror this game has something for you.

Best build a town app out there. I’m going to start off with this. I’ve played nearly every town building game since backyard monsters. This one is by far the best because the ‘pay to win’ currency called cash or bucks or something like that, can be farmed by watching ads to generate one per ad, which is enough to keep the game fun without actually spending money. Even without a way to earn them, I’ve been playing this game for about a month and it’s still fun like when I first downloaded it. Thank to developers for the app, only complaint is id like to see better rewards from the treasure hunter, I don’t ever get compasses and I need them to expand to new zones.

MY FAVORITE APP OF ALL TIME. Just one BIG PROBLEM.. I love this game it’s brought the nostalgic feeling of goosebumps on my phone. This a app I will always have on my phone. The monsters and characters are unique and fun to have. The story lines are even fun to read which is rare in a mobile. There’s just one big problem. It’s normal to for games to have two different currencies. If one is more rare to earn there should be “ Are you sure you want to spend your bucks?” Because you can make mistakes buying the wrong things all the time. Especially if you are person like me with big fingers. If you can add this to your game it would make it easier to for the player. Thank you for this amazing game.

A cut above. Usually these types of city building games hold my interest for a few hours and I get bored and eventually stop playing. The narrative here makes this one much more engaging than all the others. The characters are fun, the scenes are entertaining, and the overall atmosphere is the brand of spooky/silly you expect from Goosebumps. Only reason why this is a 4 instead of a 5 is that the in-app purchase advertising is a bit excessive. As a Marketing professional myself, I get that in-app purchases pay the bills but the pop-up ads for them are very frequent and kinda disruptive. I do appreciate that the in-app advertising is mostly voluntary through the theatre scene, though. All in all, a lot of fun!

Pricey!. Only complaint is how expensive things in the game are. I want to progress at a slightly quicker rate, but you don’t make enough money quick enough. On top of that buying characters to add to the town is ridiculously pricey. 150+ dollars (in game dollars) for a character is wild, especially when you maybe earn 2-3 dollars per day of play. To add to the town, items should cost more reasonable rates, coins compared to dollars. I understand the need to make money, I would happily sit through an extra add for better advancement ability in game. Absolutely make some in game purchases more inaccessible for the desirability and allure, but generally people are going to quit playing if they can’t afford to move forward quick enough to stay interested.

Great game but always a catch!. These types of games are always fun but tend to be a bit irritating as far as the premium money works. You hardly earn any “dollars” just doing normal tasks or leveling up and have to spend real money to buy them if you really want to get certain characters or items that would be super useful. I like that you can craft items to get better items to then sell at the Pawn Shop, but I don’t really like the refreshing system of random items because sometimes you have to refresh it several times at a minute thirty a piece for it to finally pick the item you actually want to sell. This new update made one item, the suspect photo, harder to craft because it added the need for an item only Brooke can craft that takes an hour! So now I am moving at a pretty slow pace at level 17 and each new character and area takes more coins and more harder to get items to unlock, so I might end up deleting it like I did Simpsons Tapped Out because it’s no fun if everything takes 8-24 hours to do.

Best Game Out There!. This game is awesome! Characters/Monsters are well made. The game is simple yet very creatively orchestrated that keeps you playing daily. I’m that said; I’m 30 years old with a life and I like that I don’t have to wait forever (like hours) for a a task to be finished; which primarily is what has kept me playing instead of lose interest like all the other games I’ve played. Oh and I’m obsessed with the sounds lol I don’t know why but I love the little screams while collecting for the scare O meteor. The game essentially is making/obtaining items to sell in order to buy Characters/Monsters/Land/decor. The items are really creative, I love the way they look and how you have to make other items to make the one you want; a recipe if you will. This is what keeps the game interesting. Aesthetically pleasing and mentally stimulating. I play every day and rarely go a day without opening the app.

Great game but.... First of all I love goosebumps and this game is amazing it made me get back into reading the books!! There are a few problems tho first of all for the tasks (in the game) they put the longest tasks on top so if your finger slips you assign your fav character to a three hour tasks which I don’t like. Another thing is that when you unlock a new part of the map you have to wait 3 or 4 hours which is kind of annoying. Another thing is the there are money called goose bucks which can buy lots of cool thing but you only get a little each day like three. Other then that this game is amazing and addicting totally recommend it to goosebumps fans!!!

Was fun until the glitches. I enjoy the game but lately, the prompts from the buildings have been freezing on screen and the only touch response from all my tapping is on the button to spend dollars & not the X, or I have to close the game, quit & then relaunch it. I’ve been hoarding my dollars because they aren’t easy to obtain & now I’m down a couple hundred. For weeks I’ve been trying to figure it out and I noticed today when I was showing someone else how I can tap all over the screen & the prompt stays. That’s when they tapped the dollars button, & magically the glitched prompt would close & I realized that all this time that I had been tapping the X & all over the screen trying to remove the prompt, that “the sweet spot” was the option to spend the dollars. That isn’t fair. I’ve lost items because there’s a literal money-grab glitch. Safe to say, I won’t be playing for a bit, I feel jaded being robbed.

Buggy but otherwise great. I’ve been a hardcore Goosebumps fan for twenty or so years since the original books came out in the US. This game is letting me build a town akin to what I always imagined for Goosebumps. The only issues i have thus far are that the game is very buggy this far. Pop ups for a new update that’s not in the app store and then being told the game is not available in the US. Also, not too happy with how much (monsters especially) needs to be bought with the dollar bills in game, which are really hard to get. Edit: stop constantly rotating the packs that are on sale! Either leave them up the entire five days they are listed as available or give a list. Downloaded this game the night of June 3rd and am seeing a THIRD pack.

Awesome game bbbuuuttt.... I really love this game, talk about nostalgia. The price of things is fair as well as spending real money, compared to other games, I really feel like this one isn’t money hungry. Really love that you can skip quite a few tasks with the option of watching a video; very helpful. The timing of things is reasonable too. My one and only complaint (and why I am not giving this 5 stars) is that there are times when I’m not trying to collect items, yet when I’m trying to move around the map by dragging my finger, if I get too close to an item that’s ready to collect, the game automatically picks it up. Because of this I have accidentally spent some of my bucks to expand my inventory when I wasn’t trying to. If this is something that could be fixed, that would be great and I would definitely give the 5 stars this game deserves.

Great great game but could need a few fixes/updates. I have been playing this for 3 weeks now and still very much enjoy playing this game! If you’re unsure, download it and give it a try! Now I’ve not been spending as much time as I used when I first started the game, but still enjoy checking in and working on missions and such. There are a few bugs though that could be updated if the developer sees this. First, my Brooke character disappeared. I can still give her quests and she’ll do them and I’ll get the rewards, but her character can’t be seen. When I tap on her icon, it just shows me a house. Always the same house, but not her house. She doesn’t move. Another thing is that sometimes items and stuff disappear. It’s only happened once or twice and makes me scratch my head but it’s small enough that I don’t make it a big deal. I do also have a game suggestion/critique and it’s that some of the rewards for finishing missions could/should be increased. For example, it costs us 15,000 coins to put down decor sometimes even cash to finish a mission and we only get a 200 coin reward and some EXP. it feels unfair and I’ve since stopped trying to finish those if it doesn’t progress the story (sometimes even when it does). It would be really great if the developers could just increase the rewards to give us players more incentive to actually want to do a mission. But all in all, love the game!!

Things are unobtainable. Love the game but I don’t like how the witch or Dr Brewer cost a ridiculous amount of dollars -of which you can’t collect enough without purchase. The scare-o-meter goes up more and more each time so you have to put in more work to get to the rewards. And I’ve reached the gems 4 times and I’ve still get to receive the one I need to unlock the next piece of land (I’m level 29) so I’m just stuck in the story line. And the store wastes selling slots for things you don’t even have in your inventory which makes it forever to sell what’s taking up space in your *never seeming to have enough space storage* I’m bored now so me getting stuck just means I’ve stopped playing.

Pretty well executed. I’ve played games like this before and they all follow a similar theme. I will say that this one does have it’s own unique hook to it that I find appealing. There are a few gripes I have, especially around moving placeable items (notably that you can’t just click an area you’d like the item to move to but must physically drag it to where you want it from where it is or where it spawned in at) and there are a few other bugs, like monsters staying on the map after they’ve done their run and should be gone. These few issues aside, it offers an interesting enough new take on the town management app that are endearing enough to keep me interested. Sorry for the wall of text.

Jazz Rodriguez. PLEASE READ! I love this game and have been playing it every day for a week! But some people have been giving it a weaker rating for un-proper reasons. For example, most games similar to this one have an in-game currency that’s uncommon at getting so you have to pay real money for it. It’s the same for this game but there are so many other ways to get this type of currency! You can tap on the plus sign next to the goosebumps cash sign at the top of the screen and it gives you options to buy more cash or watch videos to get 1 free cash and you can get 1 free cash from the drive-in as well. Pumpkins also spawn for me every day and you can get at LEAST 5 cash from coming back every day for 4 days. You can use this cash to speed things up but have some patience! Wait for 1/4 of the time and you’ll be able to skip the action if the character is on the sidewalk (not in a building). You can also skip things that are being made like at the diner by tapping “skip” and choosing to watch a video instead of using cash. You'll eventually run out of videos but there’s definitely a larger supply of videos here than in other games. So please leave a review once you get to know the game more because it’s the best free town-creating app iv’e ever played! Thanks Pixowl❣️

Super glitches. I’ve had this game for a very long time, so I’m got a lot of bucks and coins. Every time I go to play I have to rediscover all of my already paid for landmarks. Each and every time. I also have to rebuy storage. However my money isn’t restored back to before I unlocked, expanded, explored. The progress I make is is there in the people. Yet every time I click a home to do a task like the diner. It only gives me the option to move it around. So I can’t cook or use the tree fort etc. some of these now “undiscovered” items and places I’ve bought with real cash and now they are gone. I’ve given it over a week hoping it’s just a update glitch, however it’s not. I’d honestly like all of my money back since I’ve had to over pay to use those items in game. I’m highly disappointed and feel like all my progress is for nothing, because it is. There are many more problems but just writing this makes me feel even more ripped off. I’ve never left a review for a game and I hate that my first one is negative. But I just can’t not say anything. Ives spent over 40bucks in real money on this game Maybe more.

Fun until you realize everything is behind a paywall. You literally cannot progress in most quests without spending tons of the special currency you buy as an in game purchase. One of the first quests was to get Slappy, which cost 65 of the currency you have to buy. I slowly earned it by watching 30 second ads over the course of two weeks to get one of the currency every few hours, then completing big quests which can give you 2-5 of the currency. I finally earned 65 and go to buy Slappy- and his price is raised to 100! What a ripoff! I worked so hard to buy Slappy for 65 and now when i finally get 65 he costs 100. The only explanation I have for this is maybe he’s more expensive with the Christmas update, but why would you increase the prices of normal items so severely just for the holidays? Fun but confused. I’ve enjoyed this game since the start as I love scaring my little town people. However, I’ve been slightly stuck and not sure what to do next. The storyline is telling me to add certain buildings or characters so I am working on that now. However, there are a lot of items that it says a character I have needs to make but no option to make that item exits in their options. I’ll assume like the firefighter, I need another item placed but it won’t say what. I’ve expanded to the witch and the cyborg, but can’t make the things in the witch’s section because Ricky can’t make flowers yet. I’m level 25 now. Guess I just keep plugging away and see if other options show up. Odd that I would need to make something for the pawn shop or treasure dealer that I can’t even craft and haven’t been able to for the last 5 levels. Frustrating.

Super Fun. I really enjoy the game. My only issue is that the game forces you to zoom in on the characters. I would prefer to zoom in when I want. I play on my phone and this game is huge and insane. It helps to be able to see the whole “board”. I also wish that the button for changing the road design was in the settings or somewhere else. I accidentally hit that button a bunch when I’m scrolling around town. Otherwise, this game is top notch. I love that you don’t have to buy so much stuff to have lots of items. I did already buy into the game 8$ worth. It was worth it. But that’s usually where I top out. It is fun, action packed, and visually pleasing.

Fun and interesting, but it could use something. The game is a overall delight, but I feel like it’s a bit simple in the fact that it only has simple goals in which you must only wait to accomplish. Every goal has a waiting time it’s like to finish one goal you wait five or 15 minutes just to wait another 15 minutes to accomplish another goal and the game goes on like that. It would be much more interesting if the focus was higher on the monsters instead of on creating the town and adding the people. Another thing that would make it seem like less of a waiting game would be if the crafts from the diner and the places like that were actually playable like mini games to create the can of roaches for example. You would have to go through a process of a mini game making it seem like less of a waiting game.

Great Game, but giant errors. I would love every single thing about this game, from the design to the core mechanics. The monsters are fun to collect, and you definitely feel the growth from expanding your town. However, for the umpteenth million the items I’ve spent time collecting have completely vanished from my inventory during the monster blood event. I’ve sunk enough time in where I won’t completely stop playing, but it would totally be a make or break for a lesser game. Edit: So after contacting the support email you may see in the reviews, I was quickly helped and had my items returned. Will hopefully the initially glitch will be fixed, the support staff were a fantastic help.

10/10. I saw one of my favorite youtubers, John Wolfe ( HarshlyCritical ), sponsor this game and was like “sure, it looks pretty neat, I’ll give it a shot!”. Now, I don’t really give a games ratings, but I felt like this game honestly deserved a good rating. I love how each mission has its own little story. I love the graphics and the little details put in this game ( like when Slappy is doing his action on ‘having a big laugh’ and he laughs so hard that his jaw falls off. And yes, I also paid the $5 extra to get Slappy and a couple other things ). I felt like the creators of this game put a lot of time, effort and love into this game and I’m TOTALLY excited to collect the different monsters, areas and create my own horror town! Great job!

Good Halloween Game. This game is incredible ! I play it every day multiple times a day , characters are great , storylines are really cute & titled after the episodes .. the fact that they do live events is even more amazing! You get a gem , unique item & bills every day , you just have to save up to buy the characters & decorations for bills and playing on a iPhone I'm able to get over 50 bills a day watching ads , so this game is definitely 100% able to play and get everything without spending a dime of money ! I'm so excited to see what they bring in the future so far this game is amazing , I recommend for all Halloween lovers .. goosebumps lovers . it is just a great game , you will not be disappointed anyway!

Needs a quick fix.. Got this game last night and I'm not getting any music. Only sound. When I go to the option menu, it says that both music and sound are off. That's impossible. If the sound was off, I shouldn't be able to hear anything. Even when I have them both switched to on, I still get no music. Only sound. Even worse, I closed the game several times and opened and it didn't work. I even uninstalled then reinstalled the game but still ended up with the same problem. After I close then open both music button and sound button still say off but I can still hear sound which shouldn't be possible since it states that sound is off and I even have the volume on my Ipad all the way up.

Really fun, needs planning mode. This game is great! It has all of the childhood nostalgia, good characters and quests, enough to do that you don’t get bored in 30 seconds, and just the right amount of IAP. You can purchase things to make the game progress more quickly if you don’t mind throwing devs a few bucks, but you don’t feel like you’re required to do so to progress the game along. There’s plenty to do without it and you can earn in-game currency at a reasonable speed. The only thing I’d suggest to make this a top notch franchise game is a town planning mode. I’m currently at level 14, and I’ve got a pretty messy town. I want to group certain buildings together, but that’s hard to do without the planning mode that is common in type of game which allows you to store all of your buildings and place them where you want them. It does allow construction of streets and land, but again, it would be much easier to organize my town if I could store my buildings while I’m doing it. A planning mode is the ONLY thing I could possibly suggest to improve this game! If you enjoy strategy games and spooky things, or if you’re a Goosebumps fan, I highly recommend it!

Update on use of dollars. This is a fun game and I play it a lot but the use of dollars is annoying. It takes forever to get a good amount of dollars and that’s if you don’t accidentally hit something that will spend the dollars you make. I think you guys should make an update where it asks you if you want to use your dollars bc it’s really annoying when you lose like 100 dollars that you spent a lot of time saving up for bc you accidentally hit something. Also trying to fill the meter with scares is hard bc you have to use so many coins to make all of your monsters go but you can’t really do that if you’re trying to use your coins to save up for something.

very unfair and eventually pay to play. i enjoy playing this game so much but it is definitely a cash grab and it is robbing you for your nostalgia. most things in the game cost bucks and they are EXTREMELY HARD to get. if you watch an ad it gives you one buck which sounds fair but they have an ad limit so they can juice money out of you. if they made ads 2 bucks and unlimited they would get a lot more ad revenue and more people to play the game. i find it very unfair to the kids who are trying to play for fun and don't have $100 to waste on a mobile game. please make bucks easier to get and i promise you will have more players. i have read multiple goosebumps books and love the concept of the game, just make it easier to get bucks that's all i ask. and don't give me a crap response like "we will fix it in the next update" when we all know you won't.

Has potential but ultimately too expensive. I enjoyed the game with my kids to a certain point and then realized to really advance and participate, one must spend a ton of money. They say you don’t have to buy anything to play, and sure that’s correct, but you won’t get very far. Every item you create and every task you perform is timed where you have to wait, sometimes for hours. If you don’t want to wait, you can skip it for bucks. Lots of items cost hundreds of bucks, which would be impossible to earn without spending actual money . I spent a few dollars on packages and ultimately felt ripped off as they just want you to spend more and more. I laughed when I saw “best deal” for 4,000 GB bucks, it “only costs 100 actual dollars”. For the amount they want you to spend, you could go out and get a gaming console. I also noticed that sometimes I got charged for things I didn’t actually buy. It happened twice to where I had to call in and get it refunded. That freaks me out a bit as usually I have to confirm when an App purchase is made but suddenly with this App, I’m having unauthorized purchases pop up. Such a shame as it has potential, just too greedy.

Awesome, has potential. Just started and I’m already hooked onto this game. I loved goosebumps from reading the books and watching the 90s television show. This game puts all my favourite characters into one town... nice! I love that the characters and houses are based on the books and characters from various different storylines. I enjoy the slow process of sending characters on tasks and collecting the tasks. I like what the game has done with slappy the ventriloquist dummy, still laughing a lot and being all goofy like how I remember him as. It’s saddening however that some of my favourite characters like carley Beth and the haunted mask requires money to get because I really loved that storyline. But I understand this game needs some in-app purchases so I’m ok with that. ( I’m a kid so I can’t really spend money in games ). The game has a lot of potential, is really fun overall. There are a few bugs and app crashes but I’m used to that so I don’t really mind. Please keep up the hard work! This game is awesome! I hope new monsters get added in ( some that don’t require money ) like from the storyline piano lessons can be a murder, not sure why I like that episode in the show but please add it into the game if possible. Some books could also use more lengthening as they are rather short in the quest content. Love this game, thanks for the nostalgia

Bring back ads. I’m sad that I can’t give this a 5 star rating. I have been playing this game for several months, and really enjoy it. Loved the Alien Invasion event, and I would love this Halloween update if it wasn’t so buggy (my goldsmith is gone, issues with the trick or treaters) and if it wasn’t so difficult to get the new characters and items. Limiting the ads makes it completely impossible to earn enough dollars. And there is almost no other way to earn them in the game. I know you are steering people to purchase dollars, but even the dollar bundles are extremely expensive. When each character is $500, that is $20 real dollars! My last issue is that I really wish there was an option to create an account to save game play. I got a new phone, which means I have to completely start over. :(

Some Tips?. Ok sooo, I’m totally ADDICTED to this game now!!!! BUT! Can u add a couple of improvements??? For ex: when we place things like lamp post, and street lights, is there some way you guys can add an additional landscaping feature so that maybe we can add pavement to the properties?? Because having those things sit on grass just makes it look soooo out of place. Especially the cars! Would be nice to create a driveway. Also! Can there be some type of tasks that can be done involving the vehicles??? It would be dope to see the cars and buses moving around! Annnnndddd! Can you guys makes it possible for the street signs to be placed on the corners? Again, having them placed on grass really makes it look out of place. Thank yoouuuu!!!!

Love it (plus a suggestion). Finally a halfway decent freemium game from a major franchise. Normally these are completely disappointing but this game is very engaging and accommodating of different play styles and narrative preferences. It has plenty of flavor and content with a seemingly well balanced progression rate. I would like to ask that you give us the option to cancel our character assignments instead of only speed up. Sometimes I bump a 1+ hour assignment when I meant to select a 5 minute one. Please let us have the option to cancel these (with no resources claimed, even make it cost a non-premium currency). I hate having to wait over an hour or pay premium currency for a simple misclick.

Start up is just black screen that crashes. Ever since the last update my game just crashes at startup. Afraid to reinstall because I’m worried I will lose many hours of progress. Really disappointing.

I have a update idea, “Go Eat Worms!” And can you please tell me the next updates. The update is about the book and episode with the characters you can unlock in the game like, Todd, Regina and Danny. The monster you can unlock is “The Worm Hole”. You spawn worms, the big worm and Reggie’s robin project. In the item shop you can buy a thing called “Todd’s Warning” that is a stone wall with worms and the words in capital letters “TODD WE WILL MAKE YOU SQURM”.

Hi, It is a really good game but at the moment their seems to be a glitch in the system like the characters only count down when i am in the game which is really annoying sorry. But when i put them all on long actions to do at night it means that in the morning I want them to be done. Old and long and expensive but still is good. All the books in this game are from the old series well most of them. And also can you please Developer make the books in the order of the new series with the new covers! And as well can you please make it so when characters are doing or crafting things it doesn’t take so long, so you don’t need to spend all your bills on skipping. And can you make it so the so the books are free and you only need levels and the buildings and decorations and expansions are not that expensive. And NO PREIUM BOOKS! because what’s the point to that? Not a bad start.... The game is still in it’s early stages, but it has a lot of potential to improve and the references to the book series monsters is a great nostalgia blast. I look forward to new updates and I definitely recommend trying it yourself.

Monster bug. The game is great to start off but there is one very annoying bug that is where after I spawn the monsters (and this happens with all my monsters) when they have the tick it says they are resting but they still stay on the screen scaring the town people and not giving anything. I have tried everything to try and fix it with out deleting the app.

Dollars disappear. I ran out of inventory space and the game asked me if I wanted to buy more. I pressed the X in the corner stating that no, I didn’t want to buy more space. But after I press the X, I get a confirmation box telling me that I bought inventory space. And it took my dollars. This is stupid. I’m sick of my dollars disappearing at random times. I think I’ll be getting rid of this game until all the bugs are squashed. I don’t spend money on micro transactions just for them to magically disappear for no apparent reason.

Progress deleted. I updated to the new version on the 30th of May and all my progress has been lost.... all the bucks gone too. Very frustrating as I was a lvl 27 and had features I purchased.

Needs work but is good. I quite enjoy this game but some features seem unnecessary like this being online seems weird. The worst part is some of the “main” quests, there is one with slappy where you must purchase his house but it costs a hundred dollars (the currency with notes as its icon) so if you spend any of those on anything you cannot buy it. Also I can’t seem to get the item from the old tavern which is needed for a quest. It doesn’t tell you what the docks are and do(so it is useless) but I like the monsters even if many more iconic ones need to be featured(the horrors for one)

The Koko Clown academy is pretty bad. The event is poorly made as I cant redeem for other price if i already got the Koko Clown. At least give me some kind of reward but none. I tried to achieve the event then it turn out absolutely waste.

Gems to expand is .... Quite enjoying this game, it was fun enough for me to purchase the discount packs 3x.. However now that im at a higher level, it requires a certain colour of gem to expand. There is way too many different colours and it takes forever to just get 1 of a random colour that you cant even use to expand!!! Im thinking to stop playing because of this..

Actually Good. Town building games always make me mad but this ones actually fun! Unfortunately, some of the buildings are glitched (mainly the meteorite) and refuse to give me resources. If this could be fixed it’d be the best town simulator out there.

R.L Fine. Great game, beautiful art with just the right blend of creepy and kooky. It’s a bit hard to raise cash though which slows down the playability of the game too early. Crashed and loss all progress. So I went to open the game one day and out of nowhere it hard crashed consistently, I uninstalled/reinstalled the game to hopefully fix the problem (which it did!) but I ended up losing all of my progress which wouldn’t of been a huge deal but I also lost all of my coins/bucks which I spent real money on. Holy micro transactions. I honestly can’t give this game 5 stars because of the play-to-progress. You can get so far and then expect to buy or wait FOREVER till you get speciality items to keep moving the stories. Most of the items needed later on also require you to spend all your gold to fill the scream-o-meter. You really can only progress unless you buy. Oh well, enough of you are suckered into spending your hard cash on this game that they won’t change it...so this comment is lost!

Fun game. It’s a fun game, keeps me interested. However, it’s really hard to get the “cash” without spending your actual money and a lot of quests require things that are like 300-600 cash It should be easier than that or else it’s no fun anymore

Lovely game except for microtransactions. I love this game! It had the mix of nostalgia with enough to keep the horror lover interested. The drawback is that to further the story, in some cases, you have to use “buck” to get items or monsters. In the game you can earn the bucks, but at 1 dollar a quest, to get to 400 is a chore. I want to keep playing, but there may come a time when the frustration outweighs the fun.

Items disappear!. I’m working on the Christmas tree shop mission. But the stew and the pipe keep disappearing. From 9 to 8 and from 3 to 2. I’m quite sure I didn’t touch any delete or sell button. I saw some similar issues reported in the review. Email sent to service. Waiting for a follow up. Hope this is not the strategy to push me spend bucks. 🙂

Misleading in app purchase prices. Don’t trust the prices. Be aware that the first 3 or 4 promo packs say they cost one price but when you try to purchase them. It comes up as more. The starter pack and uncle saders pack for example, Which say they are $4.99 and $6.99 you get charged $6.99 and $10.99. Also. The ‘one time only’ offers price is also not the same one said it was $1.99 but came up $2.79 BUT, all of the other packs, coins and cash are charging what they’re advertised at. So that’s where it gets a little confusing. After putting in a complaint, they’ve said “the conversion issue is indeed on apples end and probably due to the region set on your device and I should take it up with apple”. (But if that was true, wouldn’t it apply to ALL of the in app purchases in that game?) So again, DO NOT TRUST THE PRICE IT SAYS IT IS, be smart and make sure that you are paying attention when the verifying in app purchase screen comes up and your paying what your supposed to be. Other than that, the game is pretty entertaining so far

Dumb. I like the gameplay but I had 96 goosebumps bucks saved up for slappy but I’m now at 46 for no reason. Not cool probably deleting

Great game’ and definitely worth getting’ some of the stuff takes. Super long to work your way up to though like the huge amount of cash u need to earn to get some special side story monsters. If u don’t have the patience I suggest passing on the game’ but for people that like a challenge I’d say (it’s right up your alley) definitely a good game for a rainy day and always passes the test to keep the player busy and satisfied’ the only complaint I have is that when u put the game in to storage and then down load it again for a second time non like other games all your work will have been erased and u have to start over again.👨🏼‍💻 other then that I’d rate it a 9️⃣ out of 1️⃣0️⃣.

Logan.. I quite like this game. wish there was more to do. The reason for only 4 stars is that I have to use my phone because my IPad version of this game made me do a update which just broke the game on there. Quite fun I like the characters u should add the movie characters in there for just a fun upgrade. Sorry if u have done this I’m not far into the game.

Can’t believe this. I’ve been playing this game for months and was really far along. Super enjoyed it. Now it forced me to “update” again but what it really did was start a new game and freeze or lose my progress. This is the second poor review for similar nonsense. Don’t know why I bothered sticking with it. If I could give zero stars I would.

New iPhones not compatible.. I reviewed this game when it first came out. An easy 5 star rating, due to the story and wonderful retelling of classic Goosebumps tales. However, after purchasing an iPhone XR last November, and spending quite a bit of real cash in order to get certain characters and in game money, the game is unplayable on new devices. Please update Horrortown, for the new I-devices, so we can continue our Goosebumps journey 👍👍

I seriously needed a customer service to email me. So while the game has been great fun for me for a couple years now. I’m finding dollars are disappearing and items in my storage without using or spending. I’ve messaged support twice now with no answer. Trying to debate if I should even keep this game while this I’m paying actual money and working hard on getting are disappearing :(. .....so to respond to your “concern” I’m going to say nope! I’ve already done this and all your tech guy says is stop pushing the purchase button. They did NOTHING to fix it. I’ve deleted the app and filed complaints to App Store that I use ripping people off!

All quest should be doable without having to spend real money. Only bad part about the game is you need to put money into it to advance threw some quest like buying thing with bills not coins but overall grate game

Tiresome. It’s getting super tiresome that you can’t expand to new areas without getting a tonne of stuff that takes ages to get. It’s the second app game I’ve played and I really enjoyed it, but honestly I’m kinda over it now. It’s just annoying that you need SO much stuff to expand, you you can play the areas half a dozen times and still not get the correct reward to be able to move on. Being unable to expand means you can’t follow the plot line well. Doubt I’ll cont to play.

Love the app but.... The app is great! Hits all of my nostalgia points. Earning stuff isn’t too hard, including the bucks, and the scary monsters are funny. The storyline is perfect, keeping me engaged throughout the levels. However, there’s a rogue gnome that hasn’t disappeared despite earning all of the possible scares he could earn. I’ve tried restarting and updating the app, but he just keeps running around scaring people with no earning benefit to me anymore. Also tried reassigning the gnomes but it turns out he just changed shirt colors or perhaps trades out with another gnome. Until this is fixed, I feel I have to rate this 2 stars as it seems like a pretty basic issue that shouldn’t occur.

Getting expensive. Love the game but it is slowly getting expensive! Most characters cost in game bucks and the packages are $20 for 630 bucks and one character is anywhere from 300 to 800 bucks... and some you need to complete things... there are a few things to do to earn bucks but it’s about 4 a day ... that takes forever to accumulate! And most things are a lot of coins and you have to make things that sometimes you can’t because you haven’t bought that character! Becoming discouraging to play!

Very entertaining and exiting however. There are only small things I have just a tiny problem with. One would be able to rotate the buildings all the way to give it a bit of a variety of change of building your spooky city. Another is sensitivity when trying to cruise through certain areas. Overall however I am ecstatic and feeling deep nostalgia and enjoying this game very much because it makes me feel like a kid again. I definitely recommend this game if you are a goosebumps fan. Appreciate it very much. :D

:/. This game is fun , I have always loved the show Goosebumps since I was little . But the fact that I feel like I’m playing Harry Potter makes the game not really fun , it’s kind of really annoying and I think that playing the ACTUAL Goose bumps theme throughout the game would be obviously better instead of J.k roling (sp?) wanting to sue u for it , but yea .. ok just saying too I know for a FACT other ppl who play this game AGREES with me , I’ve thought this since I first started playing it like a week ago

Okay but a lot of minor bugs. Game is good and trying to be unique despite millions of games about its genre. I would give it 5 stars but there are just a lot of minor bugs, such as the interface getting stuck when scrolling down through crafting menus. Unclickable heroes etc. I would love to spend more money when bugs are fixed, but bundles are just limited time offers that expires and gets replaced with something else. So if ever they fix the bugs, and by the time they fix it, I probably won’t be able to buy the bundles that I missed, or I would’ve lost interest in the game already.

I love this game!. This is by far one of my favorite games! It’s also one of the few games I don’t mind spending a few dollars on. You won’t be disappointed! A huge plus, if you run into a problem and request help they are there to help you in every way. I would much rather play a game where the customer service helps you, compared to other games where you’re lucky if you get a response much less help. Keep up the great work!

Update on use of dollars. This is a fun game and I play it a lot but the use of dollars is annoying. It takes forever to get a good amount of dollars and that’s if you don’t accidentally hit something that will spend the dollars you make. I think you guys should make an update where it asks you if you want to use your dollars bc it’s really annoying when you lose like 100 dollars that you spent a lot of time saving up for bc you accidentally hit something. Also trying to fill the meter with scares is hard bc you have to use so many coins to make all of your monsters go but you can’t really do that if you’re trying to use your coins to save up for something.

Great game... however. This game is great however the best items always cost a lot of coins and worse a lot of bucks. Bucks are easy to get but everything nearly costs at most 650 bucks which is a ton. Money money and more money to be spent into this game that I do not wish to spend. Also I keep accidentally tapping the buttons where you spend bucks on supplies that you need to craft certain items. This has happened almost 5 times now and I have wasted around 45 bucks on it. Please make an are you sure button.

Avid player. Enjoy playing & love that there is always new content coming out. My only problem with the game is I tap on items quickly so when ever I’m collecting coins from my houses there have been many times I’ve used dollars on accident. I’ve lost probably over 200 dollars in accidental clicking. I wish that there was a pop up that would come up confirming that you want to spend up the process. It gets quick annoying when I had been saving all that to expand or unlock characters.

Want to love it. Update…. Now the game is restarting every time I attempt to retrieve the gems money and rewards from objects I have paid for to gain the rewards I play this daily and it seems like it happens almost purposely and again taking my money for nothing! Here is the thing the videos freeze and you don’t get the reward, then the scared face refresh took 20$ from me and not 5 and I have had zero response to give me my money back…. I am starting to wonder if now that I am actually putting time and some money into this game if it only goes so far then it takes your money

Cool, but my stuff disappears. I’ve been playing this game for a while now and I really like it! It’s got all the nostalgia from my childhood, is paced fairly well and easy enough to perform challenges without having to spend a ton of money. That being said, as of late the items I’ve crafted are DISAPPEARING! It seems to be a recent glitch and it’s extremely frustrating! I’ve noticed it when I tap on a building and don’t quite hit it. I’ll tap three or four times and notice that my items disappear with each tap! Please, please fix this! I’m clearly not the only one experiencing this problem...

A 90s kid’s dream!. More than just a “town-building game”. I was definitely expecting this game to be just one of those “town building” games where you build, wait, and repeat. But there’s so much more to that. Without giving away too much, I LOVE how you can actually interact with the characters, create your own events, and so on. Plus-it’s GOOSEBUMPS! I mean, if you’re a 90s-80s kid, who doesn’t that entice? So with that being said, I just wish there was more to do while waiting for buildings, or characters to finish up their “stuff”. :) other than that, keep the updates coming :) Game is great so far!

Fun game, but way over priced. I really enjoy playing this game! It’s fun, it’s mindless, I cackle when monsters raid the town ... buuuuut it’s just way too expensive to really get into. Because it’s so much fun to play, I wouldn’t mind spending $5 here or there, but the amount of money they want for certain scenes and characters is ridiculous! The progress of the game is very slow, with every action being timed, and there aren’t any puzzles to solve or anything like that ... so basically you are just expected to pay tons of money to decorate a town and click through character scenes. If it was more involved and didn’t cost so much, I would rate it 5 stars.

Really fun and really glitchy. I love this game, and I love the many updates it has had to make it even more entertaining. However there really needs to be an update soon that, instead of adding more stuff to slow it down even more, fixes any bugs that are present. For my game, every time I go to play I notice a few things I recently purchased and placed in my town are missing as if I never bought them. This has been especially bad with the newest update. I am becoming quite frustrated with this issue so I hope there’s a way to fix it.

Fun but glitchy. This game is so cute and fun. I was near level 40 and for 2 days every time I tried to open the app it was immediately shut down. I had to uninstall now I’m on level one. Also the game recently took away slots I bought with the trader. It also has to shut down a lot due to internet connection but nothing else on my phone or house has to so it seems to be a glitch. With all that being said this is a rather new game and it is still fun to play. I would still recommend it to my friends and have. I may restart, I’m pretty bummed right now having to be at the beginning again though.

Still needs to cook. I got this game because I’ve been a fan of the series since I was a kid. I looked past a lot of issues but had to stop playing around level 32 when the merchant stop circulating my loot options. Would just got a ton of the winter gear area I hadn’t unlocked yet and only the special items unlocked by playing the events. That and the in game currancy kept disappearing in chunks of $40. Makes it even harder to save up for those special characters. The only thing that’d get me back into the game is a sign that the devs are very involved in review monitoring here. This game has a lot of potential and I’d love to see it really shine

Surprisingly addicting... (updated). (Update): I added another star because since my review, the game was updated with a feature to quickly move structures. It’s exactly what I needed. . . I love the game. And the fact that I recognize the side stories & characters, makes it all that more enjoyable and might just be the thing that’ll keep me playing. So far there isn’t anything that I’ve found wrong with the game. No bugs or glitches I’ve encountered. I do run out of storage pretty quickly but that might just be my fault. Can I suggest some type of builder mode? To be able to move around my structures quicker. It would be the same as when you are in the street builder mode except you can move around the buildings and homes as well (instead of having confirm the move for each home individually). I hope this makes sense. Also, I read there is no back-up so please incorporate that. It’s priority since I have spent money and it would be unfair to lose.

GREAT GAME. I have been looking for a game that I wouldn’t get bored after a while and this is it! I had to pay $4.99 ( it took $5.33 out of my account for some reason ) for the starter pack to get me started and it was worth it! I recently had a problem moving my item while decorating but the customer support was so great and fast on helping you. Also, there is a direct customer support chat within the game if you don’t wanna email them. I hope you keep updating the game for the better and more exciting stuff. Thanks!

Became boring. I loved it at first and then it became very boring. Trying to get gems just to open new parts of the land is tedious. I spent days trying to get just one gem and never got it. Then I started playing less and less to where I was only getting on once a week if that. When you are stuck without being able to open new land, all you can do is send your people to do actions over and over and try to get enough scare faces to get a gem it seems you’re never gonna get but here’s the kicker....... you need two of the same colored gem to open land but you can’t even get one of them in a week. Too long to continue a game.

Update Equals Down-grade. The game was fun, fast paced, and enjoyable. Then they realized people were playing through faster than they could develop the game, so they slowed it down by adding needless hoops for players to jump throw. Making the item recipes more complex, changing expansion thresholds, and nerfing other aspects of the game, they have succeeded in throttling the speed down at the cost of player interest. The game was fun because it didn’t feel like a game built around grinding; there were always choices to make and planning to utilize. Now it is all about the grind, and the game will never be the same. Shame on the devs for this horrific update that accomplished nothing but kicking their players between the legs.

Amazing game! Just 2 bugs.... This game is amazing, props to you creators. But I have this bug where 2 of my gnomes would stay out and scare people. They don’t give me points or anything but they just go around and scare. When I can use my gnome spawn thing, it already shows up as if I assigned them and IF I assign them again, I get no points from them. In addition, I was noticing even after connecting to facebook, my iPad wasn’t updating to where I was on my phone ( which was on the ghouls). Afterwards, i played a bit on my iPad and when I came back to my phone, I had to restart the whole ghoul part again! Please fix. Anyways, great game.

Love it but something happened. I love this game and it’s one of my favorites on the App Store usually these kinda town builder games get boring for me and I delete them but this has kept me entertained. The thing that happened though is because of the update I used to have 50 bills in the game but when I updated it the amount went down to 34. I’m got very annoyed when this happened so can you fix it? This is still one of my favorites though keep up the good work!

Fun game. The game is fun and the characters are easy enough to recognize from the beloved Goosebumps books I cherished as a child. The few things I wish were different are the ability to move up. This game takes soo long to level up and to expand territories if you don’t spend money on it. The packages that they offer are expensive for a phone game. The bugs are something that that alone I would delete this game for. The ads are ridiculous and I wish they didn’t freeze up. The ads don’t function in the way they should. I am surprised that a game like Goosebumps is ok with endorsing such odd games for ads.

Great Game!. Really draws you in! Hard to put down your phone! I love that you can walk away from the game and it continues in the background on its own to compete tasks! Great job! I would love to see some improvement on item placement though, for example a “park bench” at the moment you cannot place it all directions, North, East, South, West. Which I feel it needs to have that ability for true customization and feel. But overall this game rocks! Player beware....your in for a scare!!!!

Great game but could be better. I absolutely love this game. I love the storyline, characters, and monsters. The only thing is that you have to wait so long in between the main stories. From say cheese and die to be careful what you wish for is 7 experience levels. I’m estimating that’s over 50,000 experience points. And quests only give you a couple hundred when completed. Again the game is terrific but if you could shorten the time between future storylines.

Best of its kind!. This game looks like a pay to win game, but from my experience so far, you can ‘beat’ it without ever spending a single real cent. The payouts and in-game cashflow and opportunities for making money is sufficient. It isn’t super easy, of course there has to be some challenge, but it isn’t impossible, either. It also sticks to the mood of the classic Goosebumps books I remember from my childhood without tying itself too much to any of the books that have been published. In all, it’s a fun town-building romp that is both new and nostalgic. If you enjoy goosebumps or this genre of game, you want to download this.

NEED TO PAY TO ADVANCE. great game very fun graphics are awesome BUT the ONLY way to advance in the game is by spending money. Need characters to unlock the next chapter but they cost cash you can’t earn in the game. And all the events can only be enjoyed if you spend money. The Halloween even requires you to spend $20 to play. Can’t get enough points before the event is over to even finish the first part of the event. Major thumbs down 👎🏻

Pretty cool but some kinks.. I think that the bucks should come a little more frequently, like maybe the ads to get more bucks should be more frequent instead of just once a day. Yes it is possible to obtain the monsters or houses that need them but I can’t get them if still by the time I’ve gotten sloppy I have but 30 bucks and the quests want me to get more than one thing that costs more bucks than I even have. I just think we should get bucks more frequently, that’s all. Otherwise a fantastic game and I love it but I’d play it more if I got more bucks 💁🏻.

Amazing game has some bugs. This game is good but I ran in to a bug were some of the character would disappear and a monster would still run around the city scarring people but nothing would happen after the monster had scared the person. Even when I left and got back on the game the monster would stay still scaring people. Plus I can’t touch the invisible people even if I picked the persons Icon. It would take me to the person but I still couldn’t click them.

Edited added another ⭐️. This is one of my favorite games I’ve ever had! So much room for advancement! I downloaded the app around Halloween and didn’t realize the characters, gummy bear money, decorations, etc. we’re only for a limited time! I was bummed I didn’t spend it all before it was gone! But love the original version as well. Much easier to earn money. And love the stories! This is the only app I’ve ever bought in app purchases! I will say though since it’s back to the original “the promenade” is never decorated so I can play! No matter how long or often I play!

Would be 5 stars but... I just downloaded the game today and have not put it down. I gave it 4 stars for a few reasons, minor as they are.. 1. I like to rearrange my town but there is no button to reset the entire town or to move items without having to choose each item by long hold or click and choose. It is annoying to arrange town rather than enjoying it. 2. You can’t rearrange buildings that have a action going on. I know there is a way as I have seem it in other games so that would be nice. 3. Once you fill your scary meter, you get nothing for the scary faces. It would be nice if you got coins or even a smaller chance at the items the more you collect after filling bar. 4. Lastly, I don’t mind special quests involving purchases using special currency but it is annoying for it to happen with major characters, like the mayor. I know quests and the bank give currency but it is slow going. As I stated before, small criticisms but nothing I would stop playing for, yet.

Love this game !. I loved Goosebumps as a kid so when I seen this game I had to check it out!... Unlike so many of the mobile games I quickly became bored or disappointed with; anytime you may have to wait for a character to complete an action / animation, there’s still so many other things to play or side stories / tasks to do that I literally get lost in this game. I sometimes even forget what my main task was supposed to be lol ! There are absolutely no lulls in this one ! 5 stars from me, awesome job to the creators !!

Loved the Game until my stuff disappeared.. I loved this game, was very fun with quests, trophies you can earn, and of course great storylines. Back in Jan of 2019 I had paid real money for a one of the special packages, placed my new buildings and deco, only to log in the next day to a number of old and new buildings disappearing along with previously earned trophies. Reached out to in game support (which previously had always been incredibly helpful) to be told that I needed to wait for an update to get my stuff back. The fun part was the game had recently updated. I asked how long before the next update only to be told that I had to like them on Facebook for updates. It is now May. The game has updated. Buildings and trophies still missing.

Had so much potential- but not enough. As a goosebumps fan, I was really hoping for a nostalgic, exciting, and thrilling game. I was thrown off by the obviously child intended storyline and unexciting gameplay. You really end up reading more dialogue than actually playing the game. It was like reading a book. It sadly doesn’t even capture the fun and excitement present in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and falls short in almost every other category. It could be so much better if there was less waiting and more to do than read the character dialogue. The idea of having a sim-like town with interactive characters and turning it into a horror oasis is a great idea... unfortunately I was let down.

To Expensive. This game is fun until it becomes impossible to finish story lines because you need to spend a lot of their cash instead of coins for so much stuff, for example just 1 story line you need $400 in their cash to build someone’s house and that’s impossible to earn unless you spend your money and buy 1 of the packages which is at least $10, and that’s just for 1 of the story lines it’s really insane and just not right. I’m at a point where I have so many old story lines because I refuse to spend so much money on this so now I have to delete the game soon. You shouldn’t be forced to spend your money to continue playing a game especially as much as this game expects.

I’ve been waiting for this forever!. I was so excited to come across this game! I’ve been waiting for it for weeks now as I preordered the game. It plays a lot like Spongebob Moves In, where you build your town and level up and unlock fun features. Everything from the Goosebumps books is actually in this game! I’m also surprised by the level of work that went into this game. It takes some time to learn and get adjusted to how the game works but so far I’ve found no bugs...except roaches! 😂 My only complaint now that I’ve been playing it for a few hours is it is extremely difficult to make money: coins and dollars. You have to wait SO long to make money and the game moves too fast for you to build and buy things. When you activate the monsters to scare the townspeople they don’t go for very long and you earn little to no scare points. So much fun but needs a little work. Still love it and am so happy!

Awesome game but too money hungry. I have been playing this game for months now and I find this game difficult as you progress far in the game. I find it hard to progress because I can’t buy anymore house or scary monsters because they are all cash credits. I only have about 50 cash credits but I have to get to 200 or more. I get frustrated from this because I don’t want to use real money to buy more cash credits because it is very hard to get cash credits in this game. I hope the devs can fixed this because I love this game but I can’t do anything right now cause of the cash I need to get.

Great Game. So far the game is great. So I have only played for maybe A good hour and a half because of that I don’t know much of the game, but I do know the concept and it’s great. I did not like that I hit a wall “meaning I could not play any more” because I could not buy any thing because my coins ran out and the waiting time got to like 3 hours, but I know this is because of the game and the game needs to take time and can’t just be a fast game if that makes sense :) I will give updates on this review once I get further into the game. Great game but.... First of all I love goosebumps and this game is amazing it made me get back into reading the books!! There are a few problems tho first of all for the tasks (in the game) they put the longest tasks on top so if your finger slips you assign your fav character to a three hour tasks which I don’t like. Another thing is that when you unlock a new part of the map you have to wait 3 or 4 hours which is kind of annoying. Another thing is the there are money called goose bucks which can buy lots of cool thing but you only get a little each day like three. Other then that this game is amazing and addicting totally recommend it to goosebumps fans!!!

Very satisfied. I’ve been playing this game for a couple of weeks and I have been very satisfied with it and the Goosebumps team. It’s a new game so they are working out some kinks. Anytime I had an issue I emailed them and received a response within a few hours. They were very friendly and helpful. The game itself has been entertaining and has kept my attention. Usually I play these types of games for a week or so and then I’m done. This one has kept my interest.

Has a lot of issues. I’ve been playing this game over a few months now. Absolutely love the concept of a goosebumps world building game. A lot of it is good but some things are very frustrating. Items will disappear from your inventory randomly. And the game is very touch sensitive so you you can end up randomly buying or deleting things very easily. I’ve been saving up my dollars for over 2 weeks now trying to buy a monster character, was up to 93 , when I needed 100 but a random pop up after my level changing immediately charged my dollars and I now have 14 dollars. This could be resolved by adding in a pop up of “are you sure you want to buy x” for larger purchases. Will no longer continue will this game

First game I’ve played on my phone in years!. This game is really great, i have been playing for the past week now with my girlfriend, we are having a blast. The one thing we are noticing unfortunately is that things seem to just disappear from your inventory. It is really disheartening to find after 32 hours of saving up pieces for a land expansion, part of what you saved is gone, and now you have to re-work to get back what you have lost. Other than that, I cant complain. This game does a great job at creating the atmosphere of living in the world of Goosebumps!

Needs An Update. I’m having issues completing Revenge of The Garden Gnomes chapter because the pipes I collect stop at 2/5. When I collect a 3rd pipe it resets back to 2/5. It is completely frustrating, I’m not selling these nor trading for map pieces. The 3rd pipe always disappears and leaves me with just two. I’m even spending bucks to try and get these pipes. I would have completed this chapter forever ago if it weren’t for this horrible glitch. Have you guys given up on this game? At one point, there were events and it was highly immersive. Now, there’s nothing. My trees in-game still have snow from Xmas 😒

Bummed about losing my purchases. I love this game but, after recently trying to play again, it won’t open. I’ve spent money to get where I’m at so, I really don’t want to try and reinstall it, out of fear that i may lose my purchases. If it can be fixed and i can keep my purchases, i would definitely give this game 5 stars. Update: I had to reinstall and it’s working fine but, as I thought, I lost all of my in app purchases. I still love it though so, I will continue playing and suggest it to friends.

I didn’t give it the full 5 stars because as you progress in the game everything becomes more expensive and it can take a long time to build up the money to buy everything that the game requires to advance, which can sometimes mean buying a lot of different things needed and it seems to take a lot longer to get what you need as you progress in the game. It does have a lot of memorable monsters from the book but as far as I see it doesn’t have all the monsters from the books. My favorite was the werewolf of fever swamp.

Fun but deleting my items. I have played this game for about 3 years now, on and off but I keep returning to it. The stories are great and I really enjoy the idle and active game play. My only issue is that within the past month or so when I go to collect my items the game will delete items that I do not select and will do this without prompting or asking. It has become very frustrating when randomly items I need for quests or rewards I’ve received get removed from my inventory. It has made moving forwards in the game almost impossible. I really do love this game but can’t play it with this issue. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I love this game so much but I need help! 🥺. I have a question about one of the stories/quests. I need to build Sam’s house, but it’s no where to be found. I looked under all tabs, including heroes where I assume he’d be found. I even looked at the locked items/people and I can’t find him. If you have any answers please let me know, and thank you so much! Besides all that.. I don’t really have any real complaints. I really love the game just as much as I’ve always loved the books and the show! Thank you for creating such a masterpiece! 😊

Goals not being met. Bumped it down to two stars, it deleted my only beast dazzler now, and other items like my rings are decreasing. As I’m trying to complete the goals, all I need is to continue to make a beast dazzler. I’ve made 6 already, and only one is showing up. I thought I was accidentally selling it, but after I made one I checked and only one still shows. If I’m spending the money for special stories, why are supplies deleted as soon as I make them? If this is the case, I’ll just spend my money on another game. I can deal with taking forever to make cash for other characters, etc., but this is silly.

Great game with a few bugs. Totally worth a play. The game is great, simple, and fun. If rts games seem overcomplicated and scary, this is the perfect way to start out. The content is fun and the staff stick to the same, silly way of speaking as the in-game characters. Unfortunately, there are quite a few bugs still in the game, but the support staff is absolutely fantastic. They respond quickly and actually answer your questions and fix your problems, unlike most games that seem to not care if you keep or delete them.

Fun but very glitchy. I really like this game but it has so many issues. I don’t like how notifications don’t disappear when there is nothing to be notified of. One of my character’s actions won’t appear today. I’ve had items disappear. I’ve gotten a message saying I can’t watch any more ads when I’ve only watched one ad the whole day. Sometimes other horrortowns won’t load. If these annoyances were fixed, it would be a lot better. I also don’t like how much real money they expect you to spend to get ahead with the game. For instance, 400 of the game cash for the Mr. Wood character is insane and nearly impossible to obtain without spending real money. The gameplay is fun but this game needs work.
