Useless App. As others have mentioned, there is no point to this app even if you have a subscription to STAT plus. How can this be? Shameful.

Links all take you out of the app!!. Content is great, but the app is very poor. Every single clickable link within an article launches in web vs in the app (meaning you would have to log in on the web site). This is a simple oversight that should be rectified. Developers/managers at stat (or overseeing outsourced labor) should be ashamed....

Great Upgrade from Previous Version. I’ve been following your coverage for years and really enjoy your content. My one suggestion would be a dark mode for the app!

No Stat News+ Support?. Yikes, they charge hundreds of dollars for a year long subscription and you can’t even sign in with the app. An absolute joke. Use the website.

Useless. Useless. I’m a STAT Plus subscriber. The app just links to the website for STAT Plus articles. Exactly what I didn’t want in an app.

Give us a real iPad app. I am not paying so much for Stat Plus to not get an actual iPad app. It could be so much more!

Not functional on 7, iOS 12. White screen upon open. Never resolved.

Log in fails. Log in to my Stat plus account through this app no longer works (although it works fine via the browser) and there has been no response from customer support yet, several days after submitting the issue

Same problem as above. The above review noted the blank screen. Having downloaded the app, that’s all that I get as well. What is cooking in the kitchen?

Beautifully presented but not practical. I got the app to have a better experience of the online Covid vaccine tracker that doesn’t work right on a phone. Well, can I even find the vaccine tracker on the app? No. I can’t search it or find anything. You have some subject headings with curated news, but you can only scroll through it. This could be a really important source for global health articles, but without a search option, without filters, it’s not fit for purpose, really.

No Stat+ subscriber access; disappointing UX. Paying $29/month for a Stat+ subscription, you still can’t access any premium articles from within the app. Instead, you’re only given a paragraph, and redirected to login to your account via a browser. Only there can you read Stat+ articles. An incredibly disappointing user experience.

Not STAT +. I pay for STAT+, a very expensive monthly subscription. This app does not do premium subscribers like myself justice. I shouldn’t have to be taken out of the app to read stat plus articles. In fact, being a subscriber should unlock a better more powerful data driven app. Instead it’s just a directly of articles. Good for 2010, horrible for 2021

What’s the point?. What’s the point of having an app if it doesn’t show full articles to paid subscribers? I was trying to read an article on the mobile site, saw an add for the app, downloaded it, and had the app send me back to the mobile site. A waste of time.

App CRASHES IN IOS 13.4. App not useful & now in the midst of a pandemic crashes constantly. Surely STATNews can do better.

Useless app. The app doesn’t integrate with the website at all. The story layout is horrible. There is no way to sort things by date. It’s only once you click on a story that you get taken to a screen where you can find a menu to sort stories by topic. I love the news service but this app is a waste of time. I hope people don’t look at the app and think this is what they really represent. Seriously, they could hire a high school kid and have this improved many times over in a week.

Worthless propaganda rag. The app’s description advertises “compelling stories about health, medicine ...” etc and POLITICS and medicine and POLITICALLY slanted stories and health and POLITICS ,etc. Look elsewhere-there are many websites/apps that report ONLY medical and scientific news without the obvious political bias.

App doesn’t allow you to log into your Stat+ account. Serious technical flaw... When attempting to log into your Stat+ account, your redirected Tina login page which doesn’t load. You are stuck on a blank/white screen.

One of the best resources for healthcare news. STAT is a wonderful resource for healthcare news. They summarize and communicate information ina. Very easy to understand way. The app is great too. Highly recommend.

Left wing propaganda. Don’t waste your money

Pointless App. As noted by other reviewers, this app from Stat News doesn’t integrate with a StatPlus subscription — which means that you’re better off just bookmarking the StatNews website in your browser and accessing stories there instead (since most of what you’ll want to read will require clicking through the app to the web anyway). This is really lazy app development.

I want to give 5 stars. I actually really enjoy this app and the quality material it produces but how is it possible THAT A HEALTH APP DOESN’T ENABLE FONT ACCESSIBILITY. There is no way to increase the itty bitty 8 pt font used in all their news articles which is useless and impossible for me to read. Their email newsletter is a little better as I can scroll in but come on people. Think and lead by example.
