Really Good App. I have used this a couple of times and it helps me stay off my phone whenever I'm doing homework or reading but I see that there's a music option. Whenever I press the radio icon nothing seems to play.

Really helps me stay off the phone. I love that this app encourages me to stay off my phone. I often pick my phone up without thinking about it, and this app reminds me to keep working. Once I set it, I don’t want to kill my egg, so it really helps me stay focused!

Timer is off. I tried setting the timer to 120 minutes but it keeps appearing as 15 seconds. The record even appears as zero minutes in the graph log. Please fix the problem. Everything was working perfectly before the update.

Great Start. Although it is a great idea, you should make it so that if the phone were to turn off the egg would still develop ^^. Having to keep the phone on will rather distract me from my chore, and I usually do my work outside of home, meaning my phone will be turned off (for safety reasons), although it is a great start to a potentially amazing app, giving it the ability to keep developing when the phone is off will improve it, I feel. edit: Thank you for the clarification, continue to improve the app ^^. Love it. I’ve always struggled being distracted with studying and homework. As a college student, I’ve tried many methods to stop going on my phone while studying and this is the only one that works. The little scary animals you hatch make me laugh and are a weird, effective incentive for me to focus. I highly recommend this app.

Great app, only a one issues. This app is really great! It works well and I have gotten off my phone more often. The only problem is that I had started a 20 minute egg, and waited the allotted amount of time. Once the egg was ready I clicked hatch, got a Figaro, then I went to my home screen to make a call, and when I went back to start another egg, my Figaro was gone. My mom hatched another 15 minute egg after mine disappeared, and the same thing happened to her. I hatched a 5 minute egg after, and got a Sheepsy, but again when I went back they were both gone again. They appeared the next morning, but they kept disappearing another few times after that. Other than those few glitches (I’m assuming that they’re glitches) the app works well.

Hatch. Amazing I not only use this to decompress For myself from my phone, I also use it for my Adult ADHD. My granddaughter is hyperactive also and she is getting therapy with it along with a reward at the end she loves it thank you for such a rewarding APP

Works halfway well. It closes if I lock my screen which defeats the purpose because then when I open my phone I just click on something else. Its a cute idea though and as long as I leave my phone open it discourages me from getting distracted with other apps

My middle schooler uses it every night. We put it on the iPad during math and reading. Positive behavior rewards for the win 🔥

Sleep. I was running through the demo and started to work on a task, during that time my phone went to sleep. When I opened the app again, I saw the Oh No message. Is there any way to use this app without constantly having to interact with it to keep the screen on?

Addictive. It’s sooo much fun to be able to collect monsters because ,it’s like a reward after finishing your work. And it’s also good because, you can’t leave the app to cheat. Because than your egg is taken away from you so you don’t get to se what monster you got.

What happened???? 🧐. Since your recent upgrade this neat application has become unusable! I can no longer change the time periods ... it’s stuck on 90 minutes. I can no longer check my progress. What was a fun app is now a nightmare! 😖 Please fix it. This would have been a 5 Star review.

great!. i LOVE this app! it’s great for mindfulness, helps me do homework and other tasks, and even puts me at ease before bed! the one thing i would change (and the reason i denoted this app a star) is that the app is just kind of... boring. no sound effects, no intense visuals, nothing. i just wish there’d be a little more there! otherwise, love this app a lot.

This is great! But... I love this app. I’m kinda addicted to my phone and this app helps me enjoy life and not have to worry about my phone. But I just did a 25 minute session, and I unlocked a creature and got 200 points for the global competition and it glitched out, and I lost my points and the character. I just did a five minute session, and got another character along with 200 points, and my other 200 points weren’t there. I also can’t join the globe competition, as I tried at least 6 times. I’d rate this app a 4.5 star. Overall, this app is awesome and I recommend to anyone. Thx for ur time!

Pasted my clipboard to Hatch when opening the app. Good app…. except that it pastes my last-copied clipboard item from iMessage to Hatch, whenever I open the app. Not sure where it goes, since there is nowhere to enter text. But it’s not cool. I’m sure a lot of us would love to know their reasoning for that and where that data goes. Might be just a coding accident, but still. Good app otherwise, it was pretty helpful incentive to focus whenever I used it. Uninstalled for now because no app should randomly be sending us “pasted”notifications without our permission. Otherwise I’d have given it 5 stars.

Athena not free (mistake or false advertisement?). I keep getting messages that Athena is free and it says so in the update description. Yet, every time I try to get it, the app tries to charge me 99 cents. Otherwise I enjoy this app

Fun but buggy. This is a fun app, but it has it’s bugs. Sometimes when you turn off the screen, it interprets your action as exiting the program and will abort your egg. Also a lock screen timer would be lovely.

Can’t use other apps. Most of my studying is online or I have pictures of the material on my phone. When I try to go to another app (for example my photos app or quizlet), my egg will break. I know it’s a good method to stop getting distracted by playing games or going on social media but a lot of my work is done on my phone. I think it would be a great improvement to have a mode where you can go to other apps.

Great app and concept!. I have never written a review on an app. This app is great. I try to personally do a lot of mindful meditation when I can and I’ve been wanting my 6 and 3 yr old to do something like mindful meditation but never knew what to do. This was awesome and they loved it. They want to hatch more. My 6 year old wants a legendary and elite! The downside is when I tell them to stare and focus they both shake their heads when the egg shakes. Haha -They look kind of funny. My only suggestion would be to add 2-10 minutes as individual time options. This would be great for timeouts or just a break from everything. Well done, nice concept! It’s been 10 minutes and they are still talking about going after the elite, and wondering what other types of species there might be. 👍

Great!. I’m in love with this app, but could you add a longer time. About an hour and a half is how long my classes last and I would love to be 100% unworried about my phone:)

A really helpful app!. I love this app. I’m a college student with executive functioning issues, and this is so helpful. The only thing I’d say would improve the app is if there was a way to finish sessions early if you’ve finished the task you were working on.

Disappointed... i guess?. I was immensely excited when I first saw this app on the store, judging the fact that it was “study” related. I obviously bought this app and it was for around 3 dollars. I then proceeded to open it and started a 10 min timer just to test things out. At that point I started to get kinda disappointed... First of all the radio (music) did not work. Second of all, the app was a little glitch (the response time was slow). And that’s basically all... Although PLEASE FIX THIS BECAUSE IM ACTUALLY REALLY INTERESTED IN THIS IDEA and Im trying to het my kids to use this app as their “motivation”. Besides all the problems, I actually really liked the idea of this app. Fix this PLEASE.

I love this app. So I think it would be cool if the more time you wait the more eggs you can hatch. For example, from 5-30 minutes you hatch one egg during that time, from 35-60 minutes you hatch two eggs, and from 65-90 minutes you get to hatch 3 eggs at once. Maybe giving one egg a higher chance for a rarer creature while the other(s) are slightly lower. That way it’s more of a reward for waiting much longer :) Edit: I lost all of my progress after the recent update...

Love it. I could never find a timer but when I found this it became incredible I collected so many great animals and it has helped me allot when I have to read I did not have a timer until I got this it helped me out so much ❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Wonderful!. Great way to encourage me to stay off of my phone and get things done!

Great for me and the kids. We all may be guilty of spending a bit too much time on our screens, but Hatch gives us some motivation to take time away from them. I love to turn it on for dinner, homework time, to play a board game and the kids get so excited to see our newly hatched friend when the time is up. Seriously, the creatures are the cutest ever.

Appearance. I absolutely love the concept of this app and think it will definitely help me focus more. The only note I have is that I wish the creatures were cuter and more fun. It would be great if they had some sort of movement and were simply more appealing. I know I would be more interested in hatching creatures if they were cuter!

A cute, useful idea. As someone who struggles to stay focused when I study, the timer method has helped me tremendously. What I love about this app is that the game is a nice motivator and the creators but obvious thought and effort into the set up. The characters are adorable and you learn some interesting facts about real animals along the way. It’s a great study aid.

Great app. This app is great! It would be cool if you could make it like an rpg. Like when you take a break you can fight other players with the monsters you hatched.

Novel (and topical) Concept. We could all use a break from our silicon devices (as I write this on said device) but rewarding via collectible creatures in this cute little app could go along way in helping to teach our kids a healthy tech balance. I’m intrigued by what this app does now and what it could do with a little further feedback and development time.

Love love love!. I love how this app keeps me focused and on task. I enjoy practicing my mindful communication with others and mindful eating alone by using Hatch. Additionally, I use it when I’m getting ready; and I am able to get ready much faster now. Excited to see how else I can use this app!

Great!. This app is my favorite Of the ones I’ve been looking up because I’ve been trying to get off my screens and do something productive. It can just get a little repetitive and boring though. Overall it’s great though.

Needs a pause button for emergencies. Great idea, please add a pause button for emergencies, or let people use the phone or message people while using it.

great but... It a great app and I’ve seen my production increase my only thing about is that the scree is on the whole time and it waste my battery. I had another app with same concept and it would let you turn off your phone while the timer was still on. :)

No Breaks. I really Love this app because it makes you stay away from your phone while doing something important like studying or doing my hw and having a reason to do it(To hatch and have an egg because you can’t just let it die!!).But I cant take breaks!! When I have to use my business in the bathroom or get a snack or even chill out away from my homework, I can’t take a break and if I do the egg dies.I would like if there was an update for this, but other than that it’s the best one in the App Store that is free and fun, so if you’re reading this go get it beside the break part.I hope you’ll enjoy this app as much as I do.

Wow!. This app is amazing the graphics are so cute and using this app has shown a great improvement in my life! I’d definitely give this 5 stars!

Broken for me. This is a great app, I personally use it as a little incentive not to use my phone when I should be busy doing other things. However the past several times I've used it, I set the time and turn my phone screen off (which used to work just fine) but now when it says my time is up and to "come see what I hatched" I open the app, and my egg breaks. It's fine if I leave my phone screen on, but I don't always want to do that and again, it used to be fine when the screen was turned off. I'd rate it five stars when it works normally though!

Awesome App!. Great app for increasing focus by challenging you to hatch cute aliens to add to your collection. Focus sessions of 25 minutes or longer allow you to collect rarer creatures, with the rarest creatures saved for even longer focus sessions, which tempts you into focusing for even longer periods of time! But if you fail to stay off your phone for the entire time, your creature dies, which pushes you to remain focused for the entire time you set! Great backstories are given to each creature, and collecting them becomes a fun way of charting your focus. I’m not even a student, and I love this app—it’s made all the difference in the world when it comes to helping me focus on tedious tasks!

Good idea... more rewards?. This app is a very good idea. It’s hard to me to work to get future gratification when I don’t get immediate gratification. I found this app and it’s kind of like a two-in-one: it discourages you from getting sucked into a distracting app whilst also giving you a reward for focusing on your work for a while. In my opinion, the reward factor of this app should be developed further in order to increase the immediate gratification. The people who came up with this concept had a great idea. It helps increase a higher reward output in the future by having us put our phones up and work, and it increases our satisfaction when we are off our phones by giving us immediate gratification when our timer runs out.

I loved this app, until it started glitching. This app has been really helpful for me when I’m trying to do my homework so far, but when I set it for 2 hours, after that amount of time, it would kick me out of the app. After it kicked me out, it said that I didn’t wait the 2 hours. I’ve tried it three times now, and they all had the same exact result. Besides that one glitch though, I’ve found this app very helpful

Great. I really like the app I now use my phone a lot less but one thing I think you should add is custom times so you can do more than two hours but overall it’s a great app!

Not what I was hoping for. I thought (I’m not sure why) that this app would encourage putting time into an activity in order to hatch and then evolve a creature. Maybe even multiple creatures (habits/activities) that could be labeled (i.e., piano, a language, etc). The creatures would grow and evolve along with whatever skill you are working on. After trying this app, I searched for one like described, but none exists. Can you create this please?

Great app!. I love this app! I wish there were ways to name your pets, or a zoo you could see them in, or more rewards for getting the animals. But this app is probably the only thing that keeps me off the phone while I’m writing my papers, and I love it very much!!

Still needs work. The music stops working randomly and won’t let me play it again. One time I set it for 45min and I hadn’t left the app, however on the last minute the app said I left and I lost all my progress for that time (I never left the app).

Productivity Increase !. It’s been a whole year since I’ve been using this app and I have been noticed to be more focused and concentrated on whatever task I have at hand. And for more than ten minutes ! How the app works is, yes, you set a time limit and remain in the app until the limit ends for your weird six limbed creature, yada yada yada— all that. What I’m most fond of is the tracking of your progress and the radio that plays chill step for the remainder of your time. It’s a great way to get rid of the habit of monitoring every single thing on your device— only if you use it often. I’m slightly disappointed, though, that the length of the radio doesn’t complete the max time limit when I try for 120 minutes. Is this only happening to me or is it just how it is ? Thank you !

Amazing! But could be better.... First of all, this app is AMAZING! It’s so good. But I have a few queries... 1. You can’t change ur username or email. It’s annoying, and is essential. I didn’t get warned about this. Just a heads up! 2. It would be soo cool if you could use your monsters in BATTLE with ur friends! That would really gamifiy the experience! And you won money to upgrade your monsters. 3. I have trouble keeping focused. So, when I exit out, it says that the apps will work in the background. I could play in games and get no work done!! So please make it so you can't exit out of the app. 🙏 4. It would be great if you could make it like you have breaks... I know I'm asking a lot, but honestly, it's just what's missing. Over all GREAT! Add these tweaks, god himself will recommend this. Leila

Squidler spawn rate. I do enjoy this app, and I think it’s an amazing idea....but I’ve used it for about a day now and literally have only gotten Squidler’s....just wish there was more of a variety because I don’t want to just wait an hour for another thing I have so many of.

Great for kids. This app has a fun and cute premise, it’s great for kids who need a break from the tablet or iPod, while still giving them the ability to choose or control. I wish the timer had more specific settings, rather then in the wide intervals. Otherwise a good app that functions to its purpose.

Not Great, not worth the money.. I created a focus group with my coworkers at the school I work at. Our numbers have not updated for a minimum a month. I have reached out the to support email from the app and had zero communication from the creator. Not worth spending money on this app.

Alright. It does its job well but to get more creatures u have to pay…only 5 types out of like 20 ..although in those 5 types u may get rarer versions …still ..also u can add some sound or whitenoise it would be nice …maybe some rain, a peaceful instrumental just some ideas

Awesome!!!. Very helpful during exam times. Kept me from checking my phone while I studied! Thanks to this app I’m going to ace my exams! The only downside is that there isn’t a lot of variety in creatures. I wish there was more creatures so I had something different to look forward to!

Doesn’t work.. It’s a good idea, but I can exit the app and come back and my egg is still fine. Takes away the incentive.

It’s great but..... This app is great but I accidentally typed my username wrong and I couldn’t change it. It is a really great app though!

mildly amusing. could do better with targeted timers like the Copenhagen method for studying or things like that. personally not a fan of the copied and slightly different forms.

More varieties on animals. There should me more varieties of animals and reptiles etc Think of Pokemon cards but for Hatch

Would be great if it worked. After a ten minute session, a five minute session, and a 60 minute session, I lost all my data on the app. The “incentive” it gives you doesn’t work too well, IMO, if it’s not going to save any of the data when the app gets closed.

Love it. I love the app it helps me concentrate. But the one thing you could do is have not just 5-10-15-20-25-etc. but you could add like 7-12-13-14-16-17-18 minutes not just the whole numbers. If you could get back to me about this I would appreciate it

It was a good idea.. This is so smart, and was a good idea. Though, I can leave the app, go to Instagram, go to Text Messages, come back and my egg timer is still going. I was hoping that it would make me restart. This lowered my motivation, and has made me lose interest in the app.

Interesting but lots of bugs. Unfortunately, after I receive a notification to go into the app and hatch the egg the app closes, reopens and an egg collapses. I can only use the 5 minutes period.

Awhile. I did a timer for over an hour and the creature was uncommon, pretty sure I when it says the longer you time the better the creature, well that’s false.
