Great App!!!!. Great App!!!! My only gripe is is the lack of file support like witch is precent on the desktop versions WTH

Wish it had better integration with the Files app. Fun app, I’m not really a DJ and don’t really want to build a large collection of music, I’m a musician and would like to use original tracks I make on my IPad and open them in via the files app or even import from AudioShare and remix my original music . Unfortunately you can’t , which is a shame because I was just about to pull the trigger on the Traktor Control S2.

This app need a upgrade. As a free app it ok. Charge extra and add that you can use this app with any controller even older s4 like mk1, or that you can choose your interface so it can receive audio. Give this app midi. In other words midi in, midi out and midi thru and than this app will be perfect.

No Filter and Fx at the same time?. What happened? In version 1 of Traktor Dj you could use kaoss pad style FX 3 at a time like Delay, Reverb, Flanger, etc while simultaneously using the filter....now you can only use one or the other just filter or 1 single FX. So, I’ve gone back to Traktor v1 until this is resolved. NI....please add this feature back!!!!!!

Getting Better. Still not quite to feature parity with version 1 but it’s moving in the right direction. One thing I really miss from v.1 is transport buttons activating on release rather than on touch. Could this be a configurable option at least for transport and cue point buttons please?

So Far Incredible. I have just tried it and wow! Easy load of iTunes library.

Great App for beginners. Open your iPad on party to play music track for fun. This is the best app. Professional not to recommend.

Kind of like but missing a very important feature…. I love this app but is missing an important feature that the PC version have… the ability to play my own library from a USB external hard drive via the Files app.

The best DJ app, Pro grade, but no development in 4 years. I absolutely love this app and I use it professionally. The UI is excellent. It is dead simple to use and stays out of your way so you can mix with ease. Advanced mixing features like looping and cue points are well implemented. The suggestion engine is particularly useful. Coupled with the Z1 controller (discontinued. WHY?), you have an ultra portable rig. There’s a few things lacking: You can’t create, save or edit playlists. (Version 1 could do this) You can’t import music from removable media. You can’t access your recordings in the app.

Crashes every time I try to search for a song. 1) Every time I type something in the search field the app crashes. This is consistent and easily reproducible. 2) Also, my Recently Added queue shows 81 items, but when I click on it the list is empty. I am a very happy Traktor 3 user, and a very happy customer overall. But this Traktor DJ 2 app is really flawed and, after years, still worse than the original Traktor DJ. Also, still waiting for a Z4 to come out. ;-)

Thanks for updating!. For some reason I can’t edit my original 3 star review but recently NI added record mode back! Now a 5 star app again. Thanks NI!

Great App. With all these other DJ apps charging super high subscription fees, it’s refreshing to see a free alternative created by a team of professional software engineers by a company that has been working in this arena for some time. Thank you

External library support.. It needs an external library support and drag and drop feature. Those are presented in other top dj software, so why this one is lacking those features. It is a must have. Almost impossible to work with my own library.

version 1 was already great. Should have just added key shifting to version 1 and that would have been it. No version 2 needed. Come on native instruments why?? I’m crying right now 😭😭

Fun but limited. This app is great but when I add a song to Apple Music it doesn’t let me play it on there I don’t know why but it is very frustrating

Coming from Traktor Dj on iPhone after 7 years. I can get into this app easily. I bought an iPad specifically for this. A lot of the features from 1 are here. One feature I miss a lot, being able to look through a song waveform without effecting playback. Everything else I think is here. That I use at least. That would make my review a 5 star. Hopefully another update is coming soon.

Really it worked better with AirPlay. Is this something that can be achieved? Right now, the app is unstable and is lagging which is a real shame. I can do this using Traktor Pro 3 on the Mac with no issues. This would be a nice enhancement.

Trash. Prohibited from loading your own mp3's from file system. What is the point?

Great but does crash..... Really cool but it crashed right during a really solid mix. Would be unfortunate in front of a crowd....

It’s not DJ Pro AI but with a few updates it would kill.. Traktor is a great DJ platform and can be better but chooses not to. This app for example has only four effects that are not post fader. It only gives you the ability to log in to your SoundCloud account from the many many other streaming services. Very disappointing. I own the S4MK3 and I can’t use the controller!!! On the positive note, this app beat matches the best! I have hope Native Instruments improves this app otherwise why bother downloading it? I’m not being rude but honest.

App abandoned?. No updates for over a year, with several outstanding bugs, the app seems to have been abandoned by NI 😢

My favorite DJ app. I actually like this better than Traktor on a laptop. Dead simple to use. Great with a controller like the Kontrol S2. My only complaint is the effects. They’re kind of horrible and basic if I’m being honest. Wish I could load some of the really good AUv3 effects I have in their place. Still.... very cool DJ app. Edit: Going to take one star because the only way to get tracks into this is thru the Music. Files support would be ideal.

Improving. While this app was a true disappointment when launched. The team working to improve it has been moving in the right direction. Recording is now possible and overall the app has improved. Still not a replacement for the original or Traktor pro but the developer progress has been good.

Will not work on M1 iPad Pro and S2 MK3. I’ve tried every possible type of cord. Usb c to usb a, usb c to usb b, powered usb c hub with usb a out, powered usb a hub with usb c converter. I’ve also tried every combination with a s2mk3 15V cord to power the console. I wish I could get this iPad app to read m6 do controller.

Good DJ App But Needs an Update ASAP!. Nice app for casual DJing but it keeps crashing on iPad. Happened twice already. Unreliable in this state. I would wait for an update before trying. Update Aug 24: added a star for fixing the random crashing. Now just add internal recording, played tracks history, and some sort of preview function before loading to a deck and you will have a 5 star app! Update Dec 23: nice addition of the recorder but it is flawed. Picks up cueing even though the channel faders are closed. Seems to occur only on the right channel. Fix that and add played track history and 5 stars earned. Update Jan 19, 2020: Added another star as the recorder seems to be fixed. Recorded a 2 hour set with no issues with cueing sounds being picked up. The one thing I did notice is the recording time is off. After an hour the minutes continue from 60 instead of resetting to zero. So an hour 10 minutes reads as 1:70:00 instead of 1:10:00. No big deal though. Keep up the good work!

Not as good as the original. Side by side the original still is the top dog. Reasons: No record option yet. XY effects pad on the iPad make it waaaaay more fun to use and also give you, as a Dj, a way to be more animated. Track analysis doesn’t happen automatically. The SoundCloud integration is nice. The GUI is nice and with XY effects it would reign supreme but until then I’m sticking to the original. Keep improving it NI!

SOUNDCLOUD GO+ not linking. I’ve had this app for over a year now. It has been working great up until last week when it no longer started to connect to the SoundCloud +go. Can anyone help me with this issue? Specifically got the plus version to use it Traktor 2.

Broken for 2 whole years.... ...can’t use the app, my library is too big for the supposed update from two years ago. Have to use Traktor 1, which doesn’t crash at all. Why?

ITunes has been gone 2 years… why hasn’t this been updated?. It’s now impossible to load music without paying for a soundcloud go+ account ($10/mo)… I guess the devs just don’t know it’s gone? All the documentation on their website and others also seems just pretend iTunes still exists, and if this feature is totally broken, please either update or remove it.

App drains battery, bigtime. This app has fewer useful features than the previous traktor dj for ipad app, but manages to use 40% of my battery running in the background. Not processing tracks, just doing nothing. Ipad pro 11" - shouldn't we be past this sort of egregious qa failure by now?

Organize. I wish it had a view by album feature, similar to the first Traktor dj app y’all dropped

Future. I love it I own machine studio for the production side I like to DJ so this app is perfect for that on the go or just brake out and jam anywhere I just wish it had a record button to save or download your mix right there

Local File Support. Traktor DJ 2 addressed every issue I had with the original Traktor DJ app. It’s a fun casual way to play around with music away from my CDJs. The biggest downside now is that I don’t use iTunes. PLEASE add support for the iOS Files app... I can’t believe this has yet to be implemented. Wake up!

Need Updating and Fixing. While this app is a good, needs more filters like the Flanger and also the addition of sound effects (Truck horn etc.). You can only choose music from the demo section, iTunes and SoundCloud, but, this is missing the ability to choose music from other folders using the Files app (Apple File Manager) on the iPad. This is also missing hardware support for consoles like the iDJ Pro.

DJ 2. Traktor DJ 2 is capable of mixing professionally but it’s ruined by not able to access your recorded file in your IPad Pro. I was excited to buy new equipments for my studio to switch from Serato DJ working on the go with this App. But that’s not the case the new Traktor DJ 2 is different from the old App (Traktor Dj) where you can access your file you recorded. The Soundcloud is great if you have WiFi or internet access, but on the go most of us don’t have access to data or hot spot which defeats of having the Soundcloud feature in this App. I would have paid for this App if the feature was available.

Key Feature Request. NI, please add another music source option that will allow access to local file folders, SMB and Lightning/USB storage. I create music using many of your studio products and would love the ability to DJ my own music using this mobile platform. I’m sure this would be appreciated by many. Thanks

Trash. Can't even load your own files. If you make music on the iPad they're not stored in iTunes. Where's support for files? Deleted.

Where have you been.. Hey it's been awhile how about an update Give us the option to sort by genre like the original Traktor ipad app has. Open the app up to other controllers as well.

This App it the ticket. I have DJ’d in clubs, concerts & sports arenas for 16 years. This app has everything you need to mix legit tracks. It loads my I-Tunes library without issues. It cues, has looping, syncs and has headphone in cue advantages. You can also record without issue. No hidden costs or b.s. Hats off to the creators. I have continuously looked for an app that is created for experienced DJ’s and beginners alike. Well done! A legit 5 stars.

Good tool. I like the app, nice deck and controls, however it would not sync with iTunes.

Abandonware 😢. Why make an awesome app 2 years ago and forget it? Just got an iPad for Xmas and this is the first app I downloaded. Was already planning to buy the NI audio interface. No way to access files. Instant delete. Pretty sad.

Please please, give us an update!. I’ve been using Traktor by Native Instruments for 20 years. This app is a gem. Please give us an update to keep up with latest iPadOS versions. If you add new features and want to make this pro, I’d happily pay for pro version (as long as updates, bugs and quick fixes are seldomly provided, like any regular app developer). Best regards!

Please add more hardware support. I own an s5, would really like to use it w this. While you are at it, my Maschine mk2 should work with iMaschine. PLEEEZE, NI, give us full iOS ports of your hardware based apps!!!!!! We will buy The hardware, let us use our insanely fast iPads for the brains!!!

Great App, Terrible Functionality. I really liked this app the problem is in the way you have to build your music library , for some reason you can’t just use the music in your iPad ( I can even put my files inside a traktor folder, why not make that an option ) , and this is really bizarre because the whole point of this app is to be as simple as possible . But no ! You have to go to your Mac ( if you don’t have one you are probably screwed) and sync your iTunes library from your Mac to your iPad. So, I finally figure out how to do this and BAM!!! The app doesn’t work anymore!!! I tried reinstalling, restarting my iPad, but nope. Such a waste of time, and it’s a shame because otherwise the app is beautiful .

Great when it works. The app will not let me connect too SoundCloud go+. I tried reinstalling, rebooting, everything I could think of. The button to set up go+ is there but when i hit it nothing happens! It worked before the most recent ipadOS update so I assume the devs need to get their act together and update it so it works! I bought go+ specifically to use with traktor and I can’t even use it. Very disappointed.

Excellent updates. I’ve been a long term Traktor Pro user and started using the original Traktor DJ app when it first came out. Test drove version 2 as well but abandoned immediately when I couldn’t do basic things like adjusting beat grids. Color me pleasantly surprised when I took a look and saw all the updates! I’ll make apple give it 6 stars if I can once again set cue points and hot cues and that carries over to the desktop version of Traktor DJ 2! The moment that happens I’ll be looking at buying the new S4 hardware to replace my ancient Denon SC3700 decks. Salutes NI, salutes developers.... you guys are making Traktor dope again!

Works good but missing some key features. There is no indicator of which tracks have already been played during the current session. No time of day or battery life display within the app. No way to pre analyze the tracks for faster loading or bpm tagging. Sync works great! All around great DJ app.

Awesome new look but something is missing.... Great new interface guys, feels very intuitive and stable. Loving everything about the new app so far, but I was shocked to find that Flux Mode no longer interacts with Hot Cues or Freeze mode 😱 Flux scratching on the iPad is fun stuff for sure, but flux beat juggling with a touchscreen was THE reason to use Traktor DJ 1. Bring back the beat juggling flux mode - bring back the future of music!

2.4 a significant step forward. NI continues to chip away at the missing features from TDJ1. The UI can now be set up to be practically identical (with the added bonus of retina scalable graphics). Long tracks can now be loaded, mixes recorded and the looping UI is much improved from TDJ1. We’re still missing the hyper intuitive beat adjustment UI and some FX, but it’s really coming along and great to see this app in active development. It’s after all my main tool as a professional DJ.

Disappointing copy. Quite disappointed that this launch has become a copy of the Djay app. The original Traktor DJ app was unique and was a game changer . 1. The rotary knobs on a touch screen are not effective and they lose purpose and accuracy. 2. You can’t access the touch effects panel and the Eq/filter at the same time. 3. No snap to grid/beat option. 4. No ability to change colour scheme. To the team at Native instruments, please try to incorporate some of Industry leading features from your original app to this and be a leader again.

Good..but lacks features.. Used a lot of DJ apps. I actually like the interface, I personally think it’s one of the best around. The new mix feature is also great, and it has some other really good features too. That said, it’s hard to know where they are going with this. For a start it lacks the more comprehensive FX selection that was on the original Traktor DJ, there are now only 4 effects available it appears, and that is not enough! Another suggestion for a feature that they could seriously look at, practically no DJ software has the ability to easily clock and sync across 2 iPads so they run in tempo sync. Considering the number of DJ’s that now operate with 2 DJ’s working together, and that we are into IOS 13 that is native to the iPad this should be possible...and this is a corner of the market they could own and really capitalise on, if they were forward thinking enough. I also notice they practically never give a developers response to suggestions, not a very good sign, many other developers do give responses...which often shows that they are listening to suggestions and criticisms. In summary...it’s a nice clean interface with some good ideas, but really is lacking in features...why not add more features? charge for them if you have to...put them out as packs or whatever. But make it more powerful, the opportunity is there to do this...and I really hope they are listening

Downgrade. This app is a serious let down from its predecessor. It offers far less functionality and is significantly less intuitive than the original version. Far worse is it’s complete lack of compatibility with hardware that may be less than 12 months old. This is even worsened by the removal of the original version from the app store. I am really disappointed. What were you thinking?

Not compatible with Traktor S4 MK3. G’day, I loved the first app you guys had because it allowed me to use my iPad with the Traktor S4 MK2 set up, I mean you were only limited to use two channels but nevertheless a great app. I thought this Traktor Dj 2 app would have been the same but unfortunately it doesn’t work with my new S4 MK3. If or when you do update this app, I recommend having a 4 deck option as well, like a simple deck A/C & B/D switch or something alike. Food for thought. Love your products Cheers, Rhetto

Missing essential features. This app is generally quite good, and feels quite similar to the desktop version although it’s missing a lot of basic features. If it had beat jump and the option to change output devices then it would be perfect for me.

Excellent app but Soundcloud integration is currently broken. Just leaving this review for the devs in the hopes that it can be fixed soon as Soundcloud syncing has not been working for right around two weeks now. I’ll change my rating to 5 Stars when this is fixed again.

Traktor DJ 2 review. I agree and disagree with the above review. Touch screen dials and knobs aren’t normally great and hardware should be used with this app. You can change the app to look and feel more like the previous version of IOS traktor by swiping the decks down and you get the WAV file view of the track as well as familiar shortcuts to effects etc. This version seems to support multitouch and as a result I was able to use multiple disks/knobs at once for eq, while not as accurate as physical knobs, this was a welcome improvement on most dj apps that offer this setup. I also like that NI have loaded this version with some decent enough demo tracks to muck around with from the get go. NI have changed a lot recently and I support them 100%.

No Ableton link. I mean the app is fine but without Ableton link is pretty much useless... What gives?

Good initial release. I’ve been using Traktor Pro for nearly 10 years and the original Traktor DJ since its release. I think this is a good initial release of a multi platform software from NI. I love the layout and look of the iPad and PC versions. It looks great and works well. Obviously as a brand new piece of software it’s a little bare bones, but I imagine there will be regular updates with new features. For me the biggest thing missing is the ability to import my Traktor Pro collection or Traktor DJ 1 collection along with all of my playlists, beat grids and cue points. After this, there needs to be cross platform metadata syncing so that playlists, beat grids and cue points are synced between the iPad and PC versions. Until this happens I will not be using this version. In addition to this, I’d like to see full beat grid adjustment tools, generic midi controller support and custom mapping, more FX options, Spotify integration, recording and an options menu to set preferences like default loop size, quantizing and active deck protection. I’m hoping these are all on NI’s to-do list and we will start seeing them in the next update. All in all a good first release and I’m excited to see what’s included in the next update.

Amazing!. The layout is amazing. Easy to navigate and very intuitive. Filters are bomb! Great app!

15:00 min mark too long?. Great app, up at the top in innovation, but then slides back to about...say whaaaaat? 15 minutes is too long not just to analyze, but even load for play? Those 15 minutes are my Pee tracks, with no wet messy residue. Say it ain't true! Well I can't, because even DJ's look like they gotta go, when they gotta go. Please correct this sand in your shorts moment, and receive eternal gratitude and loyalty, most probably forever. I understand this is a newer release, I get it, but me too please!

Surprisingly unstable. The app froze, then quit when I loaded a track while another was playing during a live radio broadcast. Very disappointing.

Not working with SoundCloud. All of a sudden everything that I’ve been using SoundCloud is gone in a puff of smoke

Stay with version 1. Don’t see anything new or interesting here. Also still no support for music from either your files or podcasts.

Not working with SoundCloud + on iPad OS 15. With the new update, the connection donesnt work anymore.

Major downgrade. This new version adds nothing, lost half the features of the original, and only supports the new dumbed-down S2 mk3 controller. This is a big step in the wrong direction.

4 decks please!. Would gladly pay for this feature! Aside from that, hands down the best app on my iPad. Well done NI! Another solid win.

Can you rate something 0 stars?. Congratulations Native Instruments you’ve found out step 3! Let me explain, Step 1: Build a bunch of good controllers, label them compatible with iPhone and iPads. Step 2: Build the app Traktor DJ (version 1) Step 3: Release new controller generation and new app, take out all support for the older controllers Step 4: Profit from those who upgrade their controllers just so they can keep using their iPads with them. Notice how I only said iPads in step4? Yeah no iPhone support at all in new version. Seriously disappointed in how you labeled things iOS compatible (branded on the box) then removed that support in an app update and removed the old app. I would expect much much more from such a big company. You are letting the people who buy your products down and hurting your brand image.

Original way better. Just went backward with this one... effects were way easier to use on old one, eq also... grid alignement was better, marker buttons were bigger and easier to reach, folders... who needs this silly turntable spinning... I jus’t can’t see what advances were accomplished in all that time... i got a mark2 controller and was looking forward to buying a mark3... but here you lost me...

Need local file support. As long as you expect this app to not be full of premium features (since that’s what Traktor Pro is obviously for), you will like it. Clearly meant to be paired with S2, local file support from the iPad since iCloud Drive is being developed more and with the new iPad OS, this would give it at least 4 stars.

A good start, lacks settings and key features. Compared to original, this is a distant second. This could be good for “everyone” with its ease of use, more advanced users will feel left out. While EQs are nice and Nudging is very nice, I would like to see 1-touch kills, more effects and better control of the effects. Sync seems not completely functional as I was unable to reset to original BPM once synced to another track without reloading the track (I didn’t see a jog for BPM either). I would like to see customization options like cross fader cut off, or layout.

I want to love you. Long time user of TDJ1 with my iPad and Z1 controller. I recently bought a new 11” iPad Pro and was in shock to find out the Z1 controller does not charge the iPad Pro 2018! Please fix or sell a new Z1 controller which can charge the iPad Pro. Otherwise the redesign is overall a nice update although features seem to be missing like the x and y axis for effects and also a tutorial. But overall this is a massive step backwards for iPad DJs and I think we’re all immensely disappointed with the recent direction of Native Instrument with Traktor DJ2. I’ll be sticking with TDJ1 for all my gigs or recordings. Huge bummer!

Good app but. This is a good game

An attempt to sell Soundcloud Go. The older Traktor was better. Too bad this sounds amazing, because you can literally only import songs from iTunes or SoundCloud Go (9.99 for garbage).

Sad comeback Traktor DJ. Lots of stuff missing from this app. Traitor 2/has problems loading a big library of music. The effefs are few and far between and much more. I really wanted to love this app but it fell through the cracks. Pro DJ is my new love

Removed Recording?? Not helpful now. This was a good app but they removed the ability to record, which was a great way for DJ’s to test and review mixes while on the road. With this gone, it’s basically another music player. Need a REFUND !!

soundcloud compatibility broken. as of this writing (10/13/2021) the Traktor/Soundcloud Go+ compatibility is broken, effectively rendering this application useless for me. This is incredibly frustrating as someone who relied on this app for paid work. I hope this issue can be resolved ASAP. When this isn’t broken, the app is great but this is unacceptable to have this outage for so long.

Amazing. Amazing how you funnel us into a SoundCloud and iTunes membership to even have anything to work with. Not even a files folder feature. Amazing, I have 300 songs that are not even on SoundCloud and iTunes. “Free app” Not slick.

Where is the record option.. Without the record option this is just not worth using. Sorry NI.

You’re KILLING me. As far as I can tell, this seems to be a rehash of the original interface/app released a few years back. There’s some good and some bad with that; Loving the updated colors to mirror TP3 on the Mac/PC. Same great audio engine. Unfortunately, there’s STILL a lack of beat jump? Unless you have it buried somewhere, like how un-intuitively buried the FXs are. This is a HUGE reason I use Traktor on my laptop and I’m pretty sure NI was the first to come out with that functionality. I get wanting to include “platters” for those turntablists out there but what about those who like having dedicated ability to jump around on the fly without needing to set a loop or cue points? I’ve been using your products since the days of using my PowerBook G4 12” next to my Technics in the clubs. Hell, I’ll gladly pay for that feature since it has been a staple of my mixing workflow. Without beat jump, I’ll remain on Algoriddim since even their free version allows varied length jumps AND everything else in here.

Wow. What an update.. They really should have reset their reviews when publishing the 2.0. It’s super impressive, especially with their hardware controller, and in many ways better than their pro DJ app on my Mac. Very very good app.

Meh, could be better. The good: It’s free It’s intuitive Good Integration with Apple Music The bad: Can’t lock your decks Can’t record your set Play left/Cue right should be reversed Deck volume sliders should have traditional colors (green to yellow to orange to red) set medial to the actual sliders. Summary: Just a decent start, lots of room for improvement, luckily these changes should be easy enough to incorporate into the first update.

Would be a decent app if it actually supported iTunes. How are you going to force people to buy a subscription to Soundcloud to use a DJ app? Please add full support to other subscriptions people PAY to use like iTunes, and Spotify please. Can’t believe that’s a no brainer.

No S2 mk2 support. I have an s2 mk2, won’t work with this. Needs a record feature and longer song duration.

So very disappointed.. I used the old Djay app like crazy, it was my go-to on iPad. In fact, I never really stopped using it until I got my new iPad Pro 11 and realized it looked ridiculous on the screen so when I saw this new version I was STOKED. That was, until I opened it and realized for whatever reason my massive playlists only show a handful of songs that can be used with the app. I’m puzzled as to why? All of my music is purchased from iTunes. It should all be DRM free (aside apple’s protection - whatever that is). To be clear, its not music from Apple Music, its PURCHASED music from iTunes and yet it doesn’t play. It makes no sense to me. What is the point of this app if I can’t simply play and mix music that is downloaded and lives on my device. What’s the hang up? I really, really hope that you fix this. And if not, can you at least provide support for Apple Music or Spotify?? UPDATE: My music finally started showing up. Apparently, you have to leave the app open on the song selection screen and you’ll notice it will slowly index everything. It’d be great if there were a progress bar so I knew this when I opened the app for the first time. All of my music is purchased and downloaded and barely any tracks showed up upon open so I just thought the app was having issues with DRM or something else. Really seems like a poor design to have the app work in a state where the user doesn’t know why their music isn’t present. Great, this will help me actually use it once its all indexed. The remaining bad stuff? Well, for one, there’s no way to record! I still think this app is coming up short for the long-term users. It seems like it’s been intentionally hindered to get you to use Traktor on a Mac instead and buy a bunch of equipment. The reality is, I probably would buy the equipment finally if I liked the app enough but I don’t think the team who built this (or whoever’s in charge of decision making) thought through how it would be perceived. I’d gladly pay for this app if it were including the modern features I expect, its a shame and I really hope NI takes a good hard look at how it went from being among the best in mobile DJ’ing to currently #158 spot in the itunes downloads spot. Man, I really expected greatness. I am hopeful this will get better.

Shoulda kept my mk2.. This is weak. I never write reviews, but I just bought this MK3 because of how good the MK2 worked with the app. My iPad just keeps disconnecting. When they add a record function, real iPad integration, and also a Crossfader adjustment setting maybe I’ll change my mind. This is not good at all. Dont update, don’t get a mk3 until they fix this. Returning this garbage tomorrow

where is the record button?. This app can do less than the previous traktor dj. It is free but without a record button it is just for fun. Maybe an update or two will make this app worth using. I made room for additional stars if things go the right way...

Not worth it if you need a new controller. I bought the Traktor S4 Mk2 specifically to use with Traktor DJ. Now Traktor DJ app doesn’t support my controller. The app seems to function very well in terms of speed and Beatmatching etc. but without being able to use my S4MK2 I’m afraid its not worth it. It’s a shame because I really love my S4 but If I need to get a new controller I’m forced to look at something that’s compatible with Algoriddim, especially since Algoriddim has really put a lot into their iPad Pro functionality. Added note: The Apple Pencil only works with certain functions on this app so whereas I could open and cue new tracks on the old app with an Apple Pencil, this does not work with Traktor DJ 2. Nice effort but I’m afraid I have to give the app a thumbs down.

No high quality audio support. Does not support FLAC or ALAC files. Ridiculous. What are you expected to do - just DJ with MP3s? :\

Great app. It’s rly a good app, I just wish I could play my songs from Spotify because I don’t have SoundCloud pro. Should have a few more options to chose music from.

Crashes on iOS 12.3.1, but works fine on 11.4. Great app. I like to use it while I have some time to relax or on the plane. At home I have an S8 controller and all is great. Please fix the crushes on iOS 12.3.1. It is really annoying the app crushes after 2 minutes while playing 2 track simultaneously. It does not happen in 11.4 Please allow any song duration as I like to play long mixes. It is a shame the user can not record his mixes. Overall, good when it is working, need more features available. But please fix the crashes (The can be clearly seen in Apple Crash reports on “Settings>Privacy>Analytics>Analytic Data)

Excellent Upgrade!. I love how Native Instrument design this version of the app. It’s fluid and easy to use.

DISAPPOINTING. I EXPECTED A BETTER VERSION OF TRAKTOR DJ. NO GENRE NO TRACK RECOMMENDATIONS IT DOES NOT LOAD SONGS THAT ARE MORE THAN 10MINS IN LENGHT LIKE THE PREVIOUS MODEL DID. ALSO, MOST DJ APPS DO HAVE OPTIONS FOR 4 DECK, WHY CANT WE GET A 4 DECK LAYOUT FOR TRAKTOR DJ APP, IT WILL BE AWESOME WITH THE S4 MK2 AND MK3

A Step Back. This app seems like a step back from its first iteration, with features like beatjump and track recommendations missing. Also, the flux mode doesn't look like it's working with cue points like it did in TDJ1. Not to mention it doesn't work with older controllers like the S2MK2 of or S4MK2 that were supported before. That said, the new design language looks nice. With the missing functionality added back, legacy controller compatibility, and additional features like Spotify integration, this could be a worthy successor to the first version of DJ.
