Hyperparathyroidism. I used this app before and after surgery. It gives you all of the information that you need. I would read it multiple times and still find things that were applicable to my progress and my questions. I highly recommend the Norman Parathyroid Center and this app.

Saved me. For almost a year I had battled with lack of interest, depression, hypertension, body aches and pains,RA, vertigo, kidney stones and Mini stroke. A handful of doctors treated each symptom separately but to no avail. One however did notice that my calcium was high and this led me to do my own research. I found Norman Parathyroid Center in Tampa. I realized I was dealing with parathyroid disease. From the time I emailed them up until my surgery on Feb 24,2022 I had nothing but exceptional care. From administrators, Nicole and Pam to Kimberly scheduling my surgery to Dr Luke Watkins (surgeon) calling me and answering any questions And he diagnosed my primary hyperthyroidism. I used one of the recommended hotels with limo service to hospital, greeted by wonderful staff and nurses Alexandria and Mariah. NeeNee in radiology to Sharon in Anesthesia and my operating nurses It was WORLD CLASS treatment. Dr Carling surgeon performed the surgery (removed a tumor and in total two glands) and called me that night to see how I was doing. This isn’t a surgery you can trust anyone to do. They do this surgery all day long. I cannot thank them enough for this exceptional care. I feel great the lack of interest a depression gone, less body aches and I have more energy, no problems with vertigo to date. I expect a full recovery and getting my life back. The HELP that keeps on HELPING!. This app is indispensable if parahyperthyroidism is ever a factor in your life. When you see the app’s high ratings, they are for real. The app will remain as a reference on my phone forever. I am only 2 1/2 months away from my surgery, and I am blown away by how many doctors and trained medical people just do not have knowledge about this situation. This app is amazing. My Experience even better. I went to the Parathyroid center as a reiteration. A well known teaching hospital took out 1 tumor and left 2 other’s. I knew it for years. I suffered for many years and other things in my body including my heart was affected. They took a chance on me, and found 2 tumors. Other places don’t look for what they can’t see. Made My Wife a Believer. After experiencing my first kidney stone and some routine lab work, my primary care physician told me she thought their might be a problem with my parathyroid and referred me to a local endocrinologist. Upon googling, parathyroid and coming across the Norman Center’s website, I told my wife (a nurse) that if I was to need something done that I thought we should go to Tampa. She was skeptical, but after reviewing the website, doing her own research, and reviewing the app, she was convinced that the Norman Center was the only place to go. Now, 3 days post-op, I am convinced if I would have gone elsewhere, I would not be cured and would have had to end up going to the Norman Center after a unsuccessful surgery elsewhere! Dr. Lopez and the whole staff were exceptional and I would gladly tell anyone with hyperparathyroidism to not look elsewhere!

Phenomenal experience. I am a physician, and underwent parathyroid surgery just four days ago and feeling great. I underwent surgery last Friday, had two of my parathyroids removed in expert fashion by Dr. Parrack, and was back to work on Monday full-time! It is rare to have an experience these days that exceeds your expectations, particularly in the healthcare field. From my initial contact and communications with the physicians and staff, to the app (personalized in regards to scheduling, super helpful before, during and after) the day of surgery, immediate postoperative care, was very much according to plan in a very comforting systematic yet caring way. I wouldn’t refer a patient or family member anywhere else.

App allowed self referral. I have been so sick. Look at the list of symptoms and I had 14-15 of them. But, I needed this APP to collect the blood work and Dexa scan information to put the data to work. I input all of my data that I collected from my 19 + years of doctor and lab reports. Without this APP I had nothing but a box of reports. After I looked at all of the graphs that are made from the data I input, I was able to make a data driven decision about what the next step was to a healthy life. This application also has many tools to understand this disease and the process to get better. I was able to use this application and my results to look at the years of sickness and post operation blood work results as well. This app was the best money I have ever spent. Additionally this was a life changing app for me.

Amazing, lifesaving Ap!. I've worked for 20+ years as a Medical Social Worker, but I have never seen this kind of information and guidance given to patients about their diagnosis...how to prepare for surgery...what to expect during and after surgery etc. Every little detail was anticipated and addressed. When my surgeon phoned me prior to my surgery date to answer my questions, I literally could not think of one, as the Ap had answered them all! This gave me incredible peace of mind going into the surgery and utmost confidence in my medical team! This meets a standard of excellence rarely achieved in health care!

Answered every question I had!. This is a vital app! It didn’t matter what time of the day or night a question popped into my mind - I just went to the app and there was the answer. Amazing app. This app by the Norman Parathyroid Center is very thorough and intelligently organized. Answers every question before and after surgery for parathyroid adenoma surgery. It is like having a nurse or doctor coach you through your pre-op and post-op time. I am a nurse and refer to it frequently as I am healing from surgery by one of their excellent surgeons.

Norman Parathyroid Center and App are the best. I had high calcium as far back as electronic records in my healthcare facility go. Probably longer. Multiple kidney stones and regularly passed “gravel”. Severe headaches. High bp. Stomach acid issues. More. No one noticed high calcium despite (!) on every test result. Even treatment by urologist with 24 urine testing didn’t pick up on it! Finally, new PCP noticed and diagnosed hyperparathyroidism. Needless to say, I wasn’t going to trust this facility with my ongoing care (despite pcp diagnosis). Began my own research and found Norman Center. Their response to my situation was phenomenal. Between the helpful phone conversations and the APP, I decided to travel to Florida for surgery. Long story a little longer, I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. They treated my wife and me like royalty. Surgery and follow up went smoothly. I am now close to two years post. Headaches, gone. Gravel, gone. Calcium, normal. Working on weaning off bp meds. To say I’m happy with Norman Center would be a big understatement. These folks save a big chunk of the quality of my life. I highly recommend them. And the APP is wonderful for all things Parathyroid. I have recommended it to many others.

A must have app!. I downloaded this app so that I could have as much information at my fingertips as possible. My mom had the surgery and she doesn’t use a cell phone so I have to be her eyes and ears. This app rocks! Very informative in plain English and speaks to everything you can think of asking and things that you don’t think of. It is written on an elementary level so you don’t feel overwhelmed. This app is the best thing that could have happened besides the surgery itself. I was able to answer all of my mom’s concerns and mine. It put us at ease and we did not need to call the surgeon or office staff for anything because we knew what to do and what not to do, what to expect and how to handle any issues because the app addresses them. So glad I downloaded this app and I have not come across any other app that’s so well put together.

Terrific, stupendous app. I’m 2 weeks post op after having 2 parathyroid tumors removed by Dr. Jamie Mitchell. Surgery February 5, 2019. Had surgery at 10 a.m. today by Dr. Kevin Parrack at the NORMAN Parathyroid Center in Tampa Fl. It is now 9:30 p.m. and I am in no pain or discomfort. I left the center at around 1 p.m. and my daughter drove me both to the center on the day before surgery, and home on the day of surgery. I definitely made the right decision to have my surgery at this facility. I would rate my surgeon a 10. They are all the very best surgeons around. I did a ton of research. Watch all the You Tube videos you can on this disease and treatment. My tumor did not show up on the scan but Dr. Parrack located it immediately. He is the best. Eleanor Sesto. Davie, Fl

Fabulous Medical Team & App. This medical team is amazing!!! My husband had surgery there in Tampa, and I have to say that we have never felt so tended to and cared for. The entire medical team were helpful in every way possible, eager to answer any questions we had and covered everything from A to Z in this app. It covered all of our questions and then some. I was slowly falling apart.. I knew there was something wrong with me for a couple of years, but couldn’t put my finger on it. That ended in August, 2022. My blood results showed my calcium at 10.6. My physician suspected hyperthyroidism and recommended the Norman Parathyroid Center. I did my research and for me, it was a easy decision we’re I was going. I had my consultation with Dr. Rhodes the end of January, 2023. He then sent me a detailed report on my condition, and I read about his credentials. Afterwards, l felt very confident I was in good hands. Had the surgery on March 2, 2023 and the whole process went very smoothly! I felt great after the surgery, and did a hour swim workout 5 days later with no ill effects. I am very grateful for the Norman Parathyroid Center, Doctor Rhodes and the Nursing Staff!

App definitely need an update. Although my surgery with Norman Parathyroid Center was successful, the information in this app is out of date. I went to Tampa alone for my surgery based on the data in this app. Upon arrival the morning of surgery, I was informed that they could not do the surgery with me being alone. I had to make emergency plans to get someone to Tampa in order for them to proceed with surgery. In addition to this change, there are many other items that need to be updated due to the current hospital protocols.

10 years of pain and deteriorating health. I sat in bed and prayed for help and googled high calcium (my latest ongoing problem.). The first thing I found was Dr Norman telling the hyperparathyroid disease symptoms and the great news of the Norman Parathyroid Center. I called my husband in and we began to set the process in motion. I flew from Dallas,TX to Tampa,Fl for my surgery. I am 5 days post-op and have less pain then I have had in years. I can eat normal again. God blessed me with Dr. Norman and his team of surgeons. My my surgeons were Dr Mitchell, Dr. Boone and Dr. Norman. They will always be in my prayers and everyone I love will learn about this disease whether they want to or not. Thank you to this incredible team, including every nurse and staff member. I had 2 tumors and 2 good glands. My thyroid had been treated with Radioactive iodine in 1991 and it was examined as well. This is not just a job for these doctors. It is a mission and they do beautiful surgery. This app helps you stay on task with the doctors instructions. It is great.

Great source of information. Being an older woman who was not very excited about having surgery, this ap gave me information, and hope that this experience might not be as bad as I was imagining. It is written in layman’s terms with just about every topic discussed before you even become a patient. The only two things I wish it had more information about are who has to get intubation with anesthesia, and why the wound would itch so much after the operation.

Norman Parathyroid Center. I am incredibly impressed with the highest level of service and the skill of my surgeon! I’m writing this on the very same day I’ve had a 2 cm parathyroid tumor removed. Unbelievable!. For years my high PTH has been out of normal range, I’ve developed A-fib and low energy, exhaustion etc. “Take more Calcium, you’re getting older, it’s you A -fib.” etc..... A long time coming.. My calcium values have been up and down for years. Phosphorus levels low for years. GFR was getting worse and worse every 6 months. My daughter is a PA and has recommended I do this for years. She had a friend that had the procedure done at the Norman Clinic and it CHANGED her life. I finally got an appt with a nephrologist and after 2 different blood tests over 6 months the decision was made to have them removed. I told my doctor I wanted to go to the Norman Clinic in Tampa, FL. He told me that was what he was going to recommend. It is now the day after surgery. Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE experience. It turns out my parathyroid glands were 20 times their normal size and one was actually growing inside some benign tissue on my thyroid gland. Dr Ruan recognized this immediately. He has done thousands of parathyroid operations over his 14 years and was not surprised by what he found. He said very few doctors would have found my problem due to lack of exposure to seeing it happen. Just want to thank Dr Ruan for checking in with me in the recovery room before AND after the surgery and also he called me at 8:00 PM in my hotel room to see how I was doing. Also many many many thanks to Josie my nurse and Yeury for their over the top care. I traveled from Wisconsin by myself. No problems whatsoever not having anyone with me.
