National Hurricane Center Data Comments & Reviews 2026

Worth it!. I downloaded this app during Hurricane Ian. I was on a trip to Orlando, and I was very anxious we weren’t gonna get out in time. Even though I’m back in Pennsylvania, I still have this app downloaded! It’s amazing for tracking storms, INVEST storms, and even more. This developer is amazing with the app, and I love it! The only thing is that sometimes I can’t see the satellite that well, but otherwise, I think it’s awesome!! (P.S. we made it back to PA 24 hours before the storm hit. Thank God!)

Great app and getting better with every release!. I’ve been using this app for a while now. Originally, I was just looking for a way to view NHC images easily on mobile. Their web page isn’t the greatest on a mobile browser. When I found this app, it was exactly that. Not many features at that point, but it worked well and was easy to navigate. Basically, it just had the images along with a radar. Every release since then has improved the app and there is now so much interesting information. If you live in an area where paying attention to hurricane forecasts is important, there isn’t a better app!

Hurricane tracker is now a paid service?. Where does your funding come from. Hasn’t it been the government? If it is, tell me what needs to happen to keep this critical service free! Many people rely on the direct information supplied by this site. Many weather services are not as accurate to your location as this site. Following the entire Trac and having an idea about your specific location. Please keep it free. Charge a business if needed. Please keep it free for individuals. This is truly an irreplaceable service.

The Best Tropical Weather App By Far. I spent many years looking for the best tropical weather and Hurricane tracker and information app I could find. I found this one and it has been the best. This one beats them all! While most apps become stagnant with age, the developer of this one has not only maintained this app, they have improved it by adding more features, more information and more model runs with every hurricane season. I look forward to each spring to see what new features have been added into the app. Every year it’s something else, from historical data to new products and info, it has everything I want and more.

very nice, but.... I really like this app, and it is the only one that shows me all the map and charts I want. Love the spaghetti map, which is hard to find online. The only problem is that after a few uses, it disables any touch commands on my iPad Mini4 and locks my iPad Air 2 in portrait mode without having the locked mode show up in the command panel or settings. For both problems, only a hard reboot will let me use the iPad again. I have seen this before in apps that only offer portrait view on iPads, and really hope that a landscape view will be a forthcoming improvement and bug fix.

2024 early season. This is the second Storm I am using the app. I like having all the info I need in one place. Most of us boaters use 3 or more weather forecasting apps and this one is a bit different. Having the spaghetti models of this one plus the models of my other apps all tie together the questions I will have to answer in the next 24 hours. I think the app will help with this. How far above flood stage might the Nuse River rise. If I have my boat hauled out is it high enough that my boat wont float off the blocking- Do we need to make a run from New Bern NC to Portsmouth Va as our marina cant take 60 mph gusts. It seems that some people do not realize app uses NOAA products but is an excellent non governmental app.

Totally works for me. This app is my go-to for any hurricane information. I like the ability to select a storm or see a full ocean view (Atlantic or Pacific for example, especially helpful during peak season with multiple storms). Then I can select details about the storm and get not only maps and forecast cones but detailed specific info provided by the National Hurricane Center. Detailed and Public advisories are available. I use this often during the summer and multi-times daily when storms are headed our way, like today with Hurricane Nichole!

All time favorite app, till death do us part. This app is incredible, absolutely marvelous. Not only is it amazing at updating you on hurricanes all the way through their development visually, it also informs you on every detail in writing. It has satellite images of the entire United States, Mexico and Caribbean, as well as a few others and they are constantly updated. It even lets you know when there are typhoons on the other side of the globe. I can’t understand anyone that doesn’t love this app. It’s pure perfection. Get it. Don’t even think about it.

Absolute best app for real data that’s also easy to understand.. This app is critical for anyone who lives in an area with tropical weather/systems. There have been hurricanes where the data in the app (which updates at the same time meteorologists get their update) gets to me faster than the news on TV/online. Living on the Gulf coast of Florida, anyone that’s been here for the last few years knows how many storms have been down to minute changes in course or strength to determine when to evacuate or change plans. This app keeps you 100% up to date and I highly recommend the subscription. With the subscription I usually have a 1-2 day lead on storm development before the news is even talking about it. There are so many features and maps and graphics that I feel like real meteorologists must get about the same data if at all any more. TL;DR This app is as good for the average person as it would be for a trained meteorologist, and is the ONLY app you need to be totally prepared in any hurricane.

A must for storm tracking.. I check the weather report every morning, and during hurricane season I’m constantly pulling up this app because they let me know about a possible storm even before the Weather channel or my local news apps do. I live in Houston, so being warned about a possible hurricane could mean the difference between life and death. Usually there’s plenty of time, but not always, especially when living so close to the coast. Any advanced warning is greatly appreciated, so if you or those you love near anywhere near an area ripe with hurricane traffic, I strongly suggest you get this app. It might even save your life.

So improved!. I already appreciated this app. But in the last few weeks, somebody has upped their game! There are more graphics, more info and the like. And I had the free version! For me, this app educates as well as informs. Like, I didn’t know that spaghetti models are not even on the board until a system gets an “invest” number (“invest” stands for investigation). That’s helpful. This app, along with a local weather app has really contributed to my awareness and understanding of tropical systems.

GoTo App for Hurricane Forecasts and Tracking. This is an excellent app for watching models of approaching storms. Forecasts can change during the course if a storm but these are generally very reliable and it’s not surprising (though it probably should be) how close some long range forecasts turn out to be. I routinely check it for 16-day storm forecast tracks and the 16-day GPS model to get an idea if anything is brewing out in the Atlantic. These are well in advance of reports by any weather service. It has numerous forecasts and models (probably more than anyone could want or need). I love it!!!

New user to this app. We live in the midwest, own 2 houses in St. John, USVI. We were hit hard 2 years ago and have been using the NHC NOAA website daily during hurricane season. Just found this app today. I like the different map views. They provide quick and easy differentiation to multiple aspects. Also works well over the mainland. I would like to see these maps in action for the next official hurricane. I had no issues whatsoever giving 2 bucks to the store. 2 suggestions: Larger Atlantic overview if possible. All these storms originate from the African coast and I couldnt see that area very well; also it might provide a larger picture if the app would rotate to landscape view when i turn the device sideways. Thank you to the developer for all the work you have invested.

Complete. I live in South Florida. Get more complete and comprehensive information here than from the local meteorologists. This app isn’t constrained by an allotted time like local broadcasts. Planning ahead is so much easier. One can access the spaghetti models days ahead of the time one sees on the weather forecast locally Get my supplies done, thereby avoiding the huge crowds rushing to buy them in the last fee days before a storm is actually approaching. Another plus is being able to acquire them without the potential of having to make multiple stops because stores have run out of some of the things you need

Best Hurricane App!. I live along the Florida coast and I cruise about 30-40 weeks a year and this is by far the most helpful hurricane tracker I’ve found. When on cruise ships, and people get worried I open the app and show them where the storms are headed, help people plan other routes home, or give them peace of mind when our course changes. When I am home, I can prepare based on the potential storm tracks instead of based on the news media hype. I watched local forecaster’s bad acting holding onto a pole for dear life due to strong winds while 2 locals walked into a restaurant across the street holding an umbrella with zero issues.

Incredible for $9.99!. If you’ve bounced all over weather apps trying to get a look at hurricanes, this is best $$ you’ll spend. Detail, detail, detail — and high resolution images. With major hurricane season predicted, I decided to go for it and was just amazed. Even has animated future maps for US weather, flash floods, etc. as a bonus. My only request would be for links to good explanations of what some of these tools do, e.g. all of the satellite image filters. I love learning this stuff and look forward to many idle hours of tracking in upcoming season.

Awesome app. Does really great job of consolidating and presenting tropical weather systems. Access to the GOES satellite in real time is great for seeing active weather systems. Live near Galveston so current information is critical. One app vs searching multiple sites is way more convenient and less stressful. Started with free version several years ago and have upgraded to the pro version. I would highly recommend either version. Developer is VERY good at quickly responding to questions. During the recent Laura/Marco assault on our area this app was heavily relied on.

Ok...not great.. This app is marginally better than going to the NOAA website. Push notifications are nice. Satellite page loads all of the loop images before displaying. What if i don’t want the loop? I have to wait for all the images to load? What if i have a slow connection? The interactive map is beta quality in my opinion. It takes forever to update; you need the eyes of a five year old to read the minuscule fonts on the storm. Oh, you can zoom in and read it just fine....that is until it updates then back to the fonts for ants. Tapping on the storm does nothing; does not bring up any info. I would pay $20 to get Hurricane Pro or an equivalent app back. So far I have found nothing that even comes close. Some features in the latest version of this app may be worth $2 for some. For me only because nobody can seem to put out anything better.

My GO TO Hurricane app. I have been using this app for a couple of years and have been extremely pleased. Living in Florida and having a home on the water can be stressful in the event you need to evacuate. This is the only app I use to get right to the facts and alerts without scrolling through a lot of unnecessary garbage. Plus it updates very quickly and has all the information needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanted to stay up to date on tropical weather systems. In fact, most of my friends have started using it after they see how user friendly it is and how the current information is easy to find.

Earned a spot on my home screen!. This app is one of the weather apps that stays on my home screen, even when hurricane season isn't active, because the availability of the forecast models within the app is extremely useful. During hurricane season, of course, it's indispensable - not only is virtually every useful hurricane forecasting tool included, but the app doesn't constantly dun me for additional money. It also has a very simple UI, which makes it easy to find what you're looking for. The app also doesn't waste my time with notifications that are only about the app - I love the usefulness and unobtrusiveness - it's got what I need, and nothing I don't.

Peace of mind. We live in SW Florida and experienced Ian. We were in California visiting family when we became aware of the storm. Because of this app we were able to accurately predict that airports might shut down before we got home on our scheduled flight. We were able to get home earlier and in time to shutter and lock everything down. We travel a lot during summer, so depend on this app to know what might be in store back home for the next week or two. The ability to somewhat anticipate hurricanes gives us great peace of mind.

Accurate data. I’ve enjoyed this app and have found it to be accurate and a useful tool to navigate hurricane information without all the commercials of regular news /weather apps . Sticking to the data is the best plan when monitoring a storm. I’m in the middle of hurricane Dorian , ot is providing me with the most updated and accurate information . The app developer was kind enough to email a quick reply to a simple question I had . great customer service also... kudos to you !!

Image loads are too slow!. I’ve used this app for 4-5 years but I’m getting fed up with it. Image downloads take a very long time and if you try another filter and then go back to your original then it download the sequence all over again. Why can’t it cache some images? Does it have to download the images from the hurricane center every time? I don’t get it but I’m aggravated with the app. Especially with a hurricane headed my direction in 2 days. I’ve had it. Hurricane Milton is 24 hours away from going directly thru my town and this app is worthless. On top of images taking minutes to load there’s very little context to any of the information on the site. If I was Meteorologist/Climate Scientist I might understand. Maybe try explaining in layman’s terms what some of the maps are telling us? The current info on the images are written by meteorologist for meteorologist.

Tom Corcoran, ag2,USN. Not bad, but mapping is too tiny for any intelligent reader,( particularly the smaller screen size on a phone, for example) to buy, particularly the size and direct intensity levels to be “possible”, not actually expected. It creates a slight “panic” edge for readers. Topography has major impacts, as well as intensity, more education on those factors reduces the “oh God, we’re all gonna be killed, or just crushed!” Perhaps more pre placement, or directly educative programming can do millions of dollars of simple pre-education before they wake up and say “now I understand, and can “rate” and understand what they are talking about!” You NEED to developed your “on camera, or “on air folks to reason and % of probability tools to a) provide information , and b) earn the RESPECT of viewers by verifiable data, and WHAT IT REALLY MEANS, simply with Reasonable back up data, and pix’s!

Category??. I wish there was one update shot that is brief with just a few facts. Hard time finding the Category info and actual real-time data such as, what did the Hurricane hunter find for wind speed, at what time? Yes I know they only update a few times of day. Did the speed increase or decrease since last measure, did movement speed increase or decrease? Just a few quick details on a single screen would be extremely useful instead of having to go through pages of data. Everything else is plentiful. Maybe it is there and I am just looking in the wrong spot.

App is getting better all the time.. I wrote an earlier review that was less than positive. Soon after I was contacted by the developer. He is working hard to make this app one of the most useful hurricane tracking apps available. One update has been added; another is on the way which allows users to keep informed with potential storm developments. We’ll check back here again when there is a named storm. Thanks for the improvements. The developer’s willingness to listen constructively is an added bonus! Go to Settings and find a direct link to the National Hurricane Center website. This is a real plus. This app just keeps getting better.

Go To App Hurricane Ian. I cannot recommend this app highly enough! Before ,during, and after the uncertainty and stress of Hurricane Ian, this Hurricane Tracker app became my go-to source for accurate and timely updates. The interface is user-friendly, allowing me to quickly access vital information when I needed it the most. The detailed tracking and expert analysis provided by the app were simply invaluable. A heartfelt thank you to the developers for creating such a reliable and essential tool for those living in hurricane-prone areas. Truly a lifesaver!

The best hurricane data source aggregator. This app is simply the best for tracking storms, gathering data and displaying it in useful ways. A variety of model tools are available. The app, and especially the Pro subscription is worth every penny if you live in an area susceptible to hurricane impacts. The Developer support is terrific, the developer responds quickly to questions. Updates and improvements just keep coming and the app is getting better and better. I do wish the developer would embrace “dark mode” or simply modify the screen colors to tone down all the white space; the menu screens would be so much more pleasing and easy on the eyes. Finishing up with another hurricane season coming to an end. I wouldn’t want to be without this app, even after hurricane season is over. The model forecasts are great, providing up to 16-day forecasts that show future storms across the country. As a traveler, this app keeps me informed. Worth every penny!

Can’t live without it. As someone who lives in a hurricane prone state and has lived through a cat 5 storm, I was thrilled when NOAA came out with this app so that I can find all the data I need in one place. The radar images are particularly stunning and the forecast information provides enough range to make educated decisions about timing of evacuations and such. I also don’t have to hear overdone weather forecasters hyping situations up (though, in fairness, it’s not a real hurricane until Jim Cantore appears on screen fighting the elements ;-) ). I appreciate that I can get basic data at a glance as needed and do deep dives into the science when I’m curious. If you want an app that gives you no nonsense information, this is the place to find it. (If spaghetti models terrify you, however, stick with something more basic.) Thanks NOAA et al for this fabulous app!

The Best all Around Hurricane App. The information provided in the Hurricane App is very compressive. It covers a lot of information in one location giving early warning to people in the project path of coming storms. The area of coverage is extensive and detailed for future projected path, expected intensity, and other weather that could effect the path way of storms that can develop into tropical and hurricane storms. Look no further for the best in kind application for PC, cell phone, and watch storm prediction. Thank you for such a great application.

This Is THE ‘Go-To’ Hurricane app !. Lots of hurricane tracking apps out there. I have several of them downloaded on my phone. But I end up always going to this one FIRST when a storm is brewing, and rarely even bother with the others because this one has all the information I need. What makes this one stand out? Clean and simple design and layout, ACCURATE and up-to-date information straight from the National Hurricane Center. Everything you can get from the NHC NOAA site, but in an easy to navigate layout. Best hurricane app available!!!

Good but has room for improvement. I downloadedthis app because I wanted to track hurricanes in my area and it looked really helpful. It is helpful but it is very difficult to use. First off it feels like there is too much going on on the app so it is really crowded and is hard to find what you’re looking for. Second it uses terms that people might not know and is confusing to operate. I hope this reaches an employee or app developer so they can read this and hopefully improve the app, but overall it works well and is not a scam like I thought it would be.

I love this app. I live in the Florida panhandle and use this app every hurricane season. I went through hurricane Michael and it’s really important for me to stay up to date, I won’t be doing that again lol. The data is from national hurricane center so it’s reliable. I don’t have to watch so much of the tv news with their intense music and doom/gloom no matter what mentality. It’s a quick way to check on things as I go about my day. I also like how easy it is to switch between storms.

Must Have Weather App. I live in Florida and keep a close eye on the tropical weather, fair or threatening. I do not have a subscription for advanced features but find this app invaluable! I appreciate the detailed information regarding systems that pose a potential threat. The choice of various types of satellite bands help paint a clearer picture of what is going on; it’s great to be able to select the different aspects of a weather system, such as atmospheric moisture, cloud cover and formations, etc. I refer to this app every day, especially during hurricane season, reviewing current conditions. I am appreciative, as well, of the geographical satellite coverage in addition to the “whole picture” area images. It’s also great to see what’s happening throughout the country, thus giving you an idea of what systems may affect your future weather. Much of our weather is dependent on systems throughout the US. A must have wherever you are!

Only Hurricane Tracker You will Ever Need!. The Hurricane Tracker takes information from NOAA and the National Weather Service, and combines it, into a very easy to understand view of the wind strength and direction, predictions of where it will head (spaghetti strings), comprised of many weather sources. They also tell you the water temperatures in the direction of the storm. They give you where the earliest Tropical Storm winds will arrive, and the cone of affected area. I’ve used the app for many many years now. It’s the only one I trust.

BETTER THAN 5 STARS!!!. How do I love thee app, let me count the ways :) This app is so easy to use. As others have said, the developer took free information, put it all in one place, made it easy to navigate, and doesn’t charge for it. Who is this person or people? Don’t they know that they should charge a lot of money for this? Seriously, I would gladly pay money - a one time purchase - for this app. GREAT feature: the developer puts a note on pages. For example, today we are watching hurricane Laura approaching land. He / she / they have a note explaining that the website is getting so much traffic that it will probably load slow, just wait and it will load. And this app is FREE. I am learning from the notes, I am getting all the information I need, and this app is FREE. I think everyone should have this app, and check out the other apps by this developer! I now have 4 apps from this developer, did I mention that most of them are FREE. Yep I kinda like this app.

Another Floridian. I count on this app for information I cannot get from anywhere else. I live between areas of TV coverage…a weather no-man’s-land. I can track storms with the spaghetti models, look at various satellite imagery and make my own decisions. To me, this app is a life and/or property saver. If I could improve it in any way, it would be to have the ability to filter spaghetti models. In the 7 years I’ve been using this app, I find the UK model seems to be the most accurate. Most recently, it was the only one that most closely predicted the track of Ian. Now, it appears to be predicting the track of Nicole to my doorstep, it’s just hard to tell with the jumble of the rest.

Highly recommend. If you are looking for alerts and real-time information on hurricanes, I highly recommend this incredibly comprehensive app. Continual improvements are being made including new functionality and user interface improvements. And if you want even more there is a cost effective pro option that includes even more resources and views. The developer has been very responsive to any questions and suggests I have had.

Outstanding and consistent!. I’ve been using this app since moving to Florida. It is consistently the best app I’ve found for tracking storms and for keeping track of potential weather issues during hurricane season. Well worth the purchase and the only app on my phone and iPad that I need for hurricane season. Well maintained by the author and provides access to every product you need for whatever level your needs are. Strongly recommended!

My go-to from June thru November. Hurricane Tracker is my Go-To app for Tropical Updates from June thru November to stay abreast and in-the-know. I’m a Gulf Coast resident and hurricanes are just another part of life like grocery shopping and retirement planning. There’s lots of places to get my groceries and lots of places to invest my future, but quality and performance rule the day. That’s why I trust Hurricane Tracker to be my eyes and ears for hurricane awareness - Quality & Performance. I can quickly get the info I need to make fast, situational-awareness planning decisions from a logical format. If the situation warrants and I need to dig deeper, the latest information is all in the app for keeping me abreast of the current state and the predicted projections. Quality & Performance.

Love It!. This app is great for monitoring systems in tropical regions. The information provided in this app has been accurate, timely, and up-to-date with developing systems. I have used this app for over a year and it is a great tools I would highly recommend anyone that lives in a tropical area get this app. It is easy to use and provides the necessary data to track hurricanes. It is not perfect, but I have noticed updates over the last year and am optimistic the trend of improvement will continue. One thing I would like to see is for areas that have the right conditions be reported. It does show areas of interest but there is a delay in the reporting when conditions are right for development verses when there is confidence in something developing. That may not be significant for some, but I am a nosey planner and like to know what is going on out there even if something does not develop. One thing I love are the spaghetti models! Those are fascinating to me.

The Best Hurricane App. I live on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi. Hurricane Katrina destroyed my whole neighborhood when it hit. I rode out hurricane Camille in 1969 when I was a child. I’ve been through all the Mississippi Gulf Coast hurricanes since the mid 1960s. That being said- This app is hands down the greatest tool for understanding these incredible storms. I love the hi-res satellite photos, radar animations, And frankly more data than I am capable of understanding. It’s a wonderful tool with all the available filters on the radar images, I didn’t realize there were so many ways to look at storm data. Try it, you’ll be impressed with what’s available with this quality app.

My (and should be yours) Go To Hurricane App. I live on the Gulf Coast and have been through my fair share of hurricanes 3 of which were cat 5s. I have also had multiple “hurricane tracking and info” apps … many were very good. However, nothing holds a candle to this! It provides early, detailed and concise weather info to keep you informed and prepared. I’ve used the Pro version for farther-reaching data and forecasts to make both decisions for my business teams and my own family. This IS the definitive app to have if you, or your friends and family, live in hurricane prone locals!

Great App for hurricane updates. In my family we have been using this app for servers years! We really love it because it gives accurate information with no advertising and no exaggeration! We depend on this app during hurricane season! We check it every day and we discusse the info frequently! I hope this app continues to help Americans during the hurricane season, with climate change this app is becoming indispensable and we have no need to be sorting through advertising when what we need is to dive right info vital info! Thank you for this app! Thanks for the great job!!!!

Great app! Shows everything from space. My son lived in NOLA and this gives my by the second imagery when hurricanes head to the gulf. Plus I live in Southern California we’re in Palm Springs we don’t get much rain but it’s nice to know when it’s coming, and to see if a winter storm is on the way. You can see where the clouds are thick or thin. Are used to work on the satellite programs when I was in my 20s in aerospace and it’s nice to see it all come to fruition. They use GPS, internet and satellite tracking and more. Your app is the best I’ve seen so far. Marlene Mendoza

My go-to app in hurricane country. I live in South Florida and turn to this app first every time a tropical system approaches. There is no editorializing or commentary, just aggregation of National Hurricane Center and local weather service official publications — which is perfect. The NHC is amazing, but their website isn’t the easiest to navigate. This app centralizes the resources I need to help understand my risk. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because, first, I’m a tough crowd, and second, there are a few small areas that could be made even better. For example, I’d like to see the location in the UI of Update and Local bulletins switched, and it would be nice if flood and storm surge products were more prominent (water kills more than wind!). Local watches and warnings would also be a great addition; they’re basically the only thing I need another app to check. Kudos and huge appreciation to the solo dev, who’s created a truly useful resource.

Vetted info. No hype or hyperbole. I’ve lived in Florida for over 30 years. The most frustrating thing about hurricane season are the newscasters and their sponsors who make money with their predictions of doom and gloom. We lose confidence in them, and then fail to adequately prepare when the situation truly requires it. This app provides the information we need to know in an easily accessible format. It stays current and allows us to exercise our own judgment based on information from well established and respected sources.

The BEST Storm tracker. You can not find a storm tracker that will give you more information than you will find in this app. I literally have thousands of apps, but very few I pay a fee to subscribe to. This is one that is well worth the subscription fee. Having used this for years I have found that this developer really cares about his app, as witnessed by the constant updates. Not just by clearing out small bugs that happen with any app, but by continually adding more function and more data sources to make this THE BEST STORM TRACKER APP.

Good review. I have lived in the panhandle of Florida for the past 35 years seeing many hurricanes come and go. What I have learned is that no two of them are totally alike. This app and you people are great in what you’re doing for us. I feel that the criticism from some in Ian’s path recently are unfounded. We were hit by Michael four years ago, so I know how bad it can be when it comes to your back door. People are too ready in this time to try and find someone else to blame when they make an error in judgment You guys are doing your job very well and I ask you to please keep up the good work. Florida has such an influx. of people that are new and uneducated in hurricanes, but become experts overnight. You guys are doing a great job. Please don’t let these few negative people hamper your efforts. We appreciate what you do. Thank you and keep up the good work!

Excellent and necessary weather app. I wish I had known about this app when lived in south Texas, where we were in the path of at least 4 hurricanes or tropical storms. If we still lived there I would subscribe to the Pro version. Viewing NHC information on my iPhone or iPad rather than having to access the NHC website makes this app very convenient. Information is easily accessible making it quite user friendly. The radars rock! Even though we now live in north Texas with no coast near us, this app is still a favorite.

Fantastic. I find this app very user friendly! Absolutely no gimmick. The information you are looking for is there and easy to find. As an airline pilot I have access to a range of weather forecasting/reporting charts, satellite images that are very useful in determining the best way around these storm systems. I appreciate the effort put in to create such a useful app. Thank you so much.

Pretty accurate, great resource. I find it to be very informative for the west coast Atlantic ocean side. And refer to it often along with local news and weather reports during hurricane season Easy to follow and track

Quick, easy, solid information at a glance. As a professional seaman, this is my go-to app for at-a-glance synopses of large weather systems. Simple to use, intuitive, and informative.

Great app. Great app for tracking and getting updates on hurricanes. I live on the Atlantic coast, so this is an essential app!

Excellent tool. I have been visiting this site for about four years and find it quite accurate and useful in planning how we may handle the storms that affect our home

Great information. My go to app for tracking storms in Atlantic Canada

Super. Cet apps est facile à utiliser, précis et les données fiables. Je le recommande

Great app. Great app , very accurate

Excellent. Great information especially when you need it most Thank you!!!!

Great Product Used for several years. We live in in the Caribbean. During hurricane season I review this at least once a week, and every day once a storm is in the Caribbean. It gives us confidence, that we can do what is needed before a storm hits. Just what we need.

Not in French. Ne prenez pas cette application si vous la voulez en Français...car elle n’est pas en Français. 😤

Go to hurricane info. This is my go-to hurricane tracker living in the Caribbean. The info is accurate and up to date.

Awesome. It’s so good! No partner unless it’s for the pro thing but I don’t need it. I love this app!

A Life Saving Tool. This is n excellent app which has helped us prepare for Hurricanes in Mexico. Several times we had to Stay & Shelter during Cat 2 Hurricanes and this app truly gave us real time data to help prepare and cope.

Cool app. Love getting information on what’s happening in the world and our area thanks.

Very Useful. My go-to app during hurricane season.

Informative and easy to use. Having this information is a great tool in following details of hurricanes, even as an amateur. I’ve used it while in the Caribbean, as well as to update family living there, when they don’t have much information.

Great App. Easy to use. Perfect tool for a tropical storm obsessed surfer

An App everyone needs. Having lived in the Yucatan peninsula Mexico for the last 15 years, this app is a must!! Accurate, informative and a life saver… Those living on the Gulf or in the Caribbean take a good look at this app, download and use it….

Good app. This is a great app

Great App. One of the best Apps out there. Thank you.

Awesome. Very impressive and informative Ty

Love this app. Living along the Atlantic Coast I have an interest in all tropical storms. I love the app for its ability to give me timely and accurate information and time to prepare for storms if required.

It’s great. I wished there were a model for waves

Really useful app. I rely on this app in hurricane season in Atlantic Canada. I wish that more of the maps showed Atlantic Canada and not just the US, but it’s still very useful with the maps that do show our region. It allows me to track storms and start planning much earlier than if I relied on only the regular weather apps.

Great information. Love this app

Weather watcher. Really happy with the product.Have been able to track hurricanes a lot more precisely this year.

Quick Reference. One click on the app and you have the current situation.

Hurricane Tracker. Excellent app! The first place I go to when looking for info on Tropical systems. Well done…

Atlantic hurricane coverage. I enjoy checking out the app for storm development but I am from Canada and it seems coverage ends when the storm gets to Maine on the east coast.

Great. Good. App

Site huricane. Très beau site avec ses raccourcis

Very reliable. Excellent app that we can count on

Best hurricane tracker I’ve used. I have used this app for about a year, and find it Eady to use and very complete. It also allows one to get into the technical details, if so inclined. Well done!

Excellent outil. Merci

Excellent app. I’m a retired meteorologist and I use this app to feed my continued interest in tracking hurricanes. The easy-to-use approach in accessing real-time info re. formation, development and track of tropical systems makes this app a pleasure to use

Hurricane tracker. I can’t see the track prediction cone any more.

Excellent!. Everything I need to stay on top of hurricane season. Well done! Have been using it for a long time and can’t think of a single suggestion for improvement. What does that tell you? Highly recommend it!

Does what we need. Living in Caribbean knowing what storms are coming and how they are evolving is critical for safety. This app has given the information we need, much more accurately than news sources. Thank you!

Wonderful app. Wonderful app

Good work. Real good work

Trusted app. I use this app everyday, in the summer especially, to monitor pressure systems in the Pacific. Since I live on the coast of Mexico it is important to have a trusted and reliable app that shows potential and building hurricanes. This app provides everything I need in order to keep my family informed and safe. So far, it’s worked perfectly! Thanks. 😊

Fabulous App. Simple and reliable. Has all the information needed to monitor what’s coming!

A Benefit for Disaster Recovery. I have been working through the results of devastating hurricanes throughout North America and the Gulf of Mexico since 2003. I find this App very helpful in tracking the trajectories of storms in order to ascertain the probability of damage! We are deeply grateful for your work!

No Asia?. I can’t view storms in Asia. Why? I’m trying to track Typhoon Bolaven and the other two. Like I’m trying to view Japan, China, and the Philippines. Won’t show. Please fix that. Otherwise it’s great.

Simple and effective. No muss no fuss. Clear simple low bandwidth storm forecast and update. Brilliant.

Essential Hurricane info. Works as it should with little fanfare, living on the east coast of Canada it’s nice to have early warning alerts of potential destructive weather events during hurricane season. Used quite frequently during Hurricane season.

Great app to see whats coming. Reliable and in depth

Very useful. Been using this app to plan my trips during the summer months…very accurate and easy to follow. Thanks

Pretty good. When I first downloaded the app. satellite data whas not downloading on Ipad with wifi. Conctacted the owner and had a reply with in 3 minutes. Unbelievable. All I had to do whas close and reopen Ipad. Now working great. Why not five stars? Well, it still doesn’t have landscape mode but says he is working on it.

Fantastic App. I work in Emergency Management and this app allows me to “stay ahead” of tropical weather (and weather in general). It's easy to use and has many great features like extended forecasts, wind models, and probability models. I had the free version for a long time but recently paid for the PRO features and indonynregret it at all. Easily the best work-related app I have ever used, downloaded, and purchased.

FaithS.. This app is so informative and detailed. Living along the coast of Georgia I start keeping an eye on the tropical weather well before Hurricane season starts. The information from this app helps me understand what is happening, and also helps me explain things better to family members who live in other parts of the world. I highly recommend this app to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic App for Floridians. I’ve lived Florida for a long time and tried a bunch of different weather apps, and this by far is the best one when it comes to real time information about severe weather. This is the first app I check when there are storms, potential hurricanes, or hurricanes. if you live in Florida or anywhere along the gulf coast, I highly recommend this app! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Useful “at a glance” app. This app is very useful for living in hurricane-prone regions, north Florida in my case. It gives you all the relevant NHC projections & individual storm monitoring in one place. That includes ensemble projections, which are very helpful. Therefore during hurricane season I use it as my “first alert”. Check it in the morning, again in the evening. If it shows anything serious is likely, I can dig into NHC, check Tropical Tidbits, etc.

Best source for all things hurricane related. I’ve been using this app for a number of years. It truly is the go to source for hurricane information. Not only does it provide everything you need for hurricane tracking but it even provides regional GOES satellite data for the US so you can see up to date information on non- hurricane affected areas of the country. Absolutely a 5 star app!

My Favorite. I paid for the Pro ver. to get high resolution satellite as well as some other perks and I use it far more than any other weather app. (this app is not just for hurricanes !) The only thing it doesn’t have ,which is fine ,is a real time radar but the forward-looking “radar” Models are awesome. I always know what’s gonna happen before anyone else, thanks to hurricane tracker !

Required daily reading during hurricane season. I love this app. Every day during hurricane season I check it to make sure that I am up-to-date on what is happening. It provides information and reassurance. I particularly like being able to select the storm or look at the whole Atlantic. The cone features and the spaghetti models provide all the information anyone needs.

Way better than trudging through the web site. Have had this for a while, but TS Cristobal had me pull it out and really check it out. Seems to have everything I use. I know the NOAA guys work hard on the website, but it’s still a 1990s mostly Text, too busy, cryptic, and all too often multiple click paths to find something or even worse look up what something is. SMH Three thoughts to improve it. 1) (important to me) am old and zoom all the time on my iPad/iPhone. Needs zoom feature. 2) (nice to have) Would be nice if there was an info button with each product that includes either a simple description or pulls the website’s description and displays it. 3) (would pay extra) Add ability to download product in max res to a PDF file.

Great App. Living on the northern gulf coast as we do makes staying informed about tropical storms and hurricanes a necessity. We love, love, love this app. It gives us all the information we need including what is developing that could be an issue in the future. We highly recommend this app to anyone who needs to know what is happening with the weather!!! Definitely 5 stars but would give it more stars if possible!

Great app!. I grew up on the Gulf coast in the panhandle of Florida so have been watching weather and hurricanes my whole life. Now I live on North Caicos Turks and Caicos islands and yes still watching hurricanes! This app is the best I have found consolidating all the data in one place at your fingertips. I had one glitch recently and contacted the developer and he responded immediately with an email telling me how to fix it and it worked! I highly recommend it and the pro version!

Comprehensive and user friendly. We live on the East coast and regularly bareboat charter in the Caribbean and Central America. This app is an indispensable part of our planning and monitoring of developing systems in the Atlantic. I keep a slew of weather apps on my phone, but really only need this and Dark Sky (sadly soon to go the way of the DoDo due to Apple buying their technology and discontinuing their superior interface) for all of my weather needs.

This is a good app for keeping up-to-date with storms. Hello! I live in the first coast of FL, and this app has helped my family and I be safe and prepared with the latest forecast cones and wind speed that will be coming our way. I use this app a lot during the hurricane season. I want to become a meteorologist when I grow up and I feel like this is a good app to start with my weather career! Thank you!

My go to Hurricane Tracker App. This app is extremely detailed. Easy to understand. So much is offered with the free version. However, I think I’ll update to the paid version because I want to know so much more when tracking hurricanes for my region. This is truly a great app that gives enough advance notice so that you can prepare or evacuate. A big thanks to the developers.

Split decision. I am on a sailboat in the Caribbean Islands and pay strict attention to hurricanes during the season. These graphic forecasts are a valuable addition to other resources, and has become my goto source. I do wish there was a way to connect through this app to the « spaghetti models » or that the land areas (islands) would be clearer, without having to make the cloud layer too transparent to be useful. Perhaps the outline of the land (lat and lon) as the topmost layer, would do it. With so many storms in the N. Atlantic, thé overlapping tracks become hard to read.

Must Have if You Live on the Coast. This app is probably the most trusted app that I have. I use it continually during hurricane season, and it will give you as much information as you could possibly need about what you’re facing with a tropical storm or hurricane coming. The developer did an outstanding job with this, and subscribing to the pro version is highly recommended. For the little amount it is each year, it is the best investment you’ll ever make.

Fascinating!. Got this app because I wanted to see spaghetti models and other actual data re: approaching storms, not hear “interpretations” of the data from my local news outlets. I was surprised to find this app simply fascinating - I have learned so much about weather and how data is collected and presented. The app is well-designed, clear and concise, easy to navigate, with timely updates and minimal ad intrusions.

Exceptional Application for weather buffs. I would like to just take a moment of my busy day to compliment you and your team on delivering quality weather related products. The scope and content of each application that I have installed so far are just right for interested beginners to experienced meteorologists. Great information for planning vacations, flying drones or fixed wing aircraft. Keep up the great effort in maintaining and developing new products.

Love The App. From a Floridian Resident standpoint, this app gives me the opportunity to watch the storms, and read the advisories from the National Hurricane Center, and staying updated on the latest information about the hurricane’s potential impacts, and see the latest satellite imagery of the storm. I highly recommend downloading this app, especially if you’re a fellow Floridian. If you’re a weather enthusiast, this app is also for you. I love this app.

BEST-EVER. I’ve been a ‘weather bug’ ever since learning to fly small planes & land on grass runways & frozen lakes as a teenager in Michigan, and this - especially the variety of storm pathway/intensity modeling & forecast options - is the most innovative & feature-laden app I could ever imagine...& that’s just on the FREE part. So whether you’re flying, floating or driving, this is THE go-to Weather app to have on your pre-launch checklist for every trip, or for just staying inside & expertly tracking potentially dangerous storms. Thank you!

FANTASTIC!. I’ve been using this hurricane app for three years now. I used the free version for a year, and loved it so much that I’ve continually paid for it the last two years. It’s extremely accurate, gives you lots of easy to understand data, and is a must have for anyone living in a storm zone. I look forward to keeping this fantastic app for many years to come. GREAT JOB DEVELOPERS! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

So Important. Oct. 2024 I’ve had Hurricane Tracker for years. I always turn to this app for information about the weather and in particular, for hurricanes. I love the features and it’s so easy to just launch the app and find what I’m looking for right away. Thanks to the developers or developer for all your hard work and for taking the time to update and maintain this wonderful app.

Please use this app. I live in Tampa Bay and this app saved my cars during Helene and prepared us well for Milton. This is my most valuable app during hurricane season. It also helps me deflect misinformation on social media. There are too many sources of information but this is the right one. Its is a must have no matter where you live. I wish everyone had access to this and used it as much as I do it saves lives and property.

SUPER HURRICANE INFO. I have now used this hurricane info app for over a year. During Hurricane Ida it was invaluable in knowing what was going on at my son’s home, uptown in New Orleans. Not only could I tell him what and when, But it also gave me peace of mind knowing he wasn’t going to have a direct CAT 4 hit! This app is worth paying for to use! I write this going into another hurricane season…hope I don’t “need” it but happy I do! Thanks for this app!!!

The best hurricane app ever. It’s easy to use, you can drill down into seemingly endless data, and it protects your privacy. What more could you possibly want? I would say nothing, and yet the developers are constantly making improvements and adding more data. It feels like an app made by people who care about hurricanes - not some company trying to make a quick profit.

My go to app for hurricane forecasting. I’m an emergency operations director. I found this app three seasons ago. It remains the best I have seen for timely summary and presentation of the info available from the NHC. During the season I’m on it daily and when our area is at risk I’m using it several times per day. This app, in combination with the my radar app, and the weather underground app provide me with forecasting equal to and sometimes superior to that provided by the local meteorologists.

Great App for Hurricane Tracking In the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific. Wherever you live you can follow hurricane developments and see where the hurricanes are tracking. Not only for your own area but you can see what’s happening in the hurricane prone areas elsewhere where your family and friends live. Took me a few times to get use to all the available information in the app but don’t give up. It’s an extremely valuable tool.

Great App For Those in Hurricane-Prone Areas. I’ve had this app for over a year. It has been most helpful, and I don’t have to deal with TV meteorologists whose first priority is viewership. Graphics are easy to understand and up-to-date. My daughter who lives in Central TX called me today about the Pacific storm that is forecast to pass through her area. I immediately gave her the latest forecast from the graphics available here. Great job!

Great storm information. I have always lived in SW La so keeping a close watch on the weather is extremely important to myself and my family! This app by far is the best and most helpful to me! I can clearly understand the updates and follow the progress of approaching dangerous weather! I am so thankful and always looking forward to updates to ease my mind and keep us informed!! Ten Stars for sure!!!

Not too much, not too little.. After having lived in hurricane country for the last 20 years, I’ve spent a lot of time following the damned things. I’m not a hobbyist, just someone who wants to stay out of their way. There are lots of very well done apps out there but this one works the best for me. Easy to use, straight forward commentary, displays the most important info first, and no theatrics. I just enjoy using it.

App keeps getting better. I have used this app for a few seasons now to track hurricanes, and it brings almost all the information you could want onto your device. I am also impressed, because unlike some apps that are built and then get neglected, this app really does get better and better. And not just with inconsequential cosmetic changes, that big app companies tout. Thanks for the app!

Good information. The hurricane tracker provides information on tropical storms/hurricanes. You can get a good idea of where and when a storm will hit. This is our 3rd hurricane this year and it will be the worst. Because we watched our local news and paid attention to the warnings, and checked the storm track, we hope that we are properly prepared.

Needs to be more real time. Changed from another hurricane app because they were constantly every 20 seconds having a poo up add to get their new pay for more update info edition. Found this one because of the user friendly but all data was way behind on the current recent updates. I live Ga & don’t get that many direct hits but get a lot of after math weather. Helen was near direct hit & path, rain, winds prediction was way off from the actual NOAA website. Even speed of eye was 10-15 mph off of NOAA as well as the pressure. Very disappointed and plan on using just the NOAA website for now on.

Excellent application with up-to-date information. This application is of utmost importance for anyone who lives in areas where tropical systems are in season. The information it provides is received much faster than that offered by the different television and radio channels. It is an application that is easy to understand and use. With always updated information. I feel very satisfied with the time I have been using it.

Storm planning. As a resident of Florida this app has become a permanent part of my hurricane and tropical storm assessment planning. It gives timely, straight forward and accurate information without having to wade through an additional storm of ads. When storms are approaching, time is of the essence and this app provides accurate information exactly when you need it. Thanks for being here!

Absolutely the best. I live on coast of SC and I use this site everyday from early May till December to check what storms are brewing, and where they’re heading. During the peak of hurricane season I’m checking it multiple times during the day. It shows tracking of all the storms, even early potential problems off coast of Africa. It’s simple to access & gives me the info I need to make decisions for my home. I recommend it to anyone living on the coast!

Hurricane's. Well for starters y'all could put it in color an make it where people can actually see what's the path or at least some spaghetti models of where it may be going to land or show some lines too where y'all's best guess showing lines of y'all's best guess to where it may come into & land on the shores of Florida the reason is to give people a very good idea to where it may land so people can get prepared an make plans on what to do or where too go before the these Hurricane's hit entirely

Very Helpful. I moved to a Hurricane area after retirement and I had no clue about what to look for or when to get out! Now with this app I know more than the local news does! I think the news stations just want excitement and viewers. This App shows you the true warning and direction or a storm. I would highly recommend this App for anyone wanting to know about storms in the Ocean. It is a lifesaver when it comes to Big Storms!

A valuable tool.. Growing up and then living on the Gulf Coast most of my life, hurricanes have been part of life. The National Hurricane Center app has become an important factor in consideration of on-coming storms. The information provided and the projected pathways are what I need to plan and advise my family regarding approaching storms. Once NHC sets the projected pathway, seldom, if ever, does the storm wonder outside it. No commercials and no unwarranted speculation interfere with the vital information that I receive.

Really impressive app. I am really impressed with the usability of this app to keep knowledgeable on storm systems. I own some property in Florida and with the seasonal occurrence of hurricanes I find this information invaluable. Also, the ability to look at the weather using multiple wavelengths is very nice. This is something I would expect from NOAA, but to find in from a private developer is really nice to see.

Thank God!)

I love this app!. Finally found an app that shows exactly what’s going on to a very timorous weather mouse like me. The developer even makes me believe that I’m beginning to understand some meteorology. Truly appreciate the maps and satellite views this app provides. Take it from someone living a mile or two from the Atlantic Ocean in South Carolina, this gives me real time information to make informed decisions that could be lifesaving. Thank you.

Weather. I have been using this app for a few months and I find it very useful. I live in Hawaii and we need to know what is or isn’t going on in the Pacific Ocean and this app lets you know if anything is brewing and where. It’s nice to be able to pull up satellite images without having to go to a third party. You asked for any ideas for the app, how about lifetime subscription? Thanks for a great app.

Most responsive developer!. I was surprised to see that the app did not support Central Pacific region. I emailed developer on Monday with request for Central Pacific region coverage. He wrote back the same day and indicated that he would add it. On Wednesday (today), I was able to download an updated version with coverage for Central Pacific region as well as ability to track unnamed storms, like that one that is passing below Hawaii today! Wow! Thank you for your incredible responsiveness and desire to improve your app!

Fantastic App. Having a boat in an area susceptible to hurricanes, you need to have an app that allows for current accurate information when monitoring potential storm impact. This app is fantastic in allowing me to monitor storms and may impact the array where my boat is located and I also use it to track storms that may impact other areas since I have a PhF in Emergency Management and I am a Red Cross disaster responder and Emergency Management Coordinator. Highly recommend having this app.

Floridian “Must Have” app. I’ve lived in Florida for years, and I think I’ve been using this app since 2019. It keeps up to date with the NHC graphics and has spaghetti models included. This is a huge deal for Floridians especially if you’re on the move a lot during storms. Please keep it up and keep it add free, this is critical information made VERY accessible for us when things get a little rough.

ATTN Florida residents. This app is an absolute MUST for all Florida residents! It’s a fantastic app for anyone who follows the weather, but a necessity if you live in Florida where there are preparations that need to be made every year when storms come through. The app is well organized and easy to find the info you’re looking for. It even gets into the more complex areas of weather for the weather nerds.
