So amazing. This is an amazing app for kids and teens. You have games, driving lessons, and so much more. If you are a future buyers reading this, then I would say to get it. You do not even have sign up. You only have to connect to your sphero. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GET THE GAME FOR FREE!!

Great. My sphero sprk 2.0 I think is what it was. Recently broke it was old so I decided to get a new one (a sphero mini) the app functions really well. The face drive is a little difficult to use. But that’s fine I don’t use it that much. The mini games are fun 3 (mini games) is enough. All functions are really fun to use. I’ve played with the sphero till it was dead. My friends enjoy the Sphero as well. Which is saying a lot because they normally don’t like those things. Like the app a lot functions well compared to the only sphero app that you can no longer get in the App Store. Would recommend.

The old app was SO much more fun. When we first got our SPRK there was a great Sphero app. It would let you unlock little ‘dances’ for your Sphero to do and had a MUCH better drive interface. This new one only works in portrait mode and you run out of room to move the awful joystick controller around the screen. The old app is still on my iPhone so I’ll hang onto it as long as I can but that app says it isn’t available in my country anymore. BRING BACK THE OLD APP!!!

My rating:. The app is amazing! If there were more games, & more fun customizable things for the robots, that would be amazing. Also the steering is a kinda hard to navigate. But aside from all of that, the app is amazing, easy to use, & fun! 😊Thanks for the fun!

I wish the old app.... I find Sphero a lot less entertaining with this new app. On the old one, we could unlock actions, play homing games to find the in-game currency, and others. But with the new app you can only drive and play three games. I wish the old app was in the App Store. (After reading Developer Response) Thanks a lot, sphero company. Interesting app. A good way to control Sphero robots for sure, it is not the same amount of quality as the Edu app though, some UI elements just look aesthetically off. Needs an aesthetic update to keep up with modern app design conventions. Otherwise completely functional and works great.

This app is good but. I like this app just fine. I just wish I could use it with all of my Sphero products that Sphero (the company) has abandoned. I have a bunch of Star Wars “app enabled” droids the Sphero Spider-Man and the Force Band but none work any more because either I can’t find the apps anymore or I have the apps but they don’t work anymore. Have you thought about re-releasing functioning versions of the apps and just charging for them? Just to get my awesome licensed Sphero stuff I would pay $10 for each app! (once—not a subscription). Or just take my original suggestion and make this app connect with all of the abandoned products. I think you’d be making a LOT of people happy!

Star Wars discontinued. Why would you ever discontinue the Star Wars robots? I paid $400 for mine just for it to be a worthless piece of junk. I was excited to because I had just found mine because I wasn’t using it for a while and I thought it might be fun to try again just to learn that it’s been discontinued. Great way to show people to not buy your products if it’s just going to be discontinued. Really disappointed with this. Maybe bring the app back for the robots that we paid for.

Great!. I love this and my sphero has been with my for many adventures but after a few months I noticed something (might be app or sphero) When I place him on tile or a wooden floor and send him zooming he comes back dizzy. What I mean by that is that he goes to long, moves on his own, and is temporarily numb from being hit.

I played a lot of the activities featured (and repeated them) and now I’m sorta getting bored because I wish there was a bit more to do. I don’t play it as often now. I was also wondering if you could add support for Ollie and the droids? I don’t have any of those, but I think all the Sphero coders out there with Ollies and droids would agree. One of the greatest. Sphero play is great. A couple years ago I got a sphero for my birthday, and this is the app I downloaded IMMEDIATELY when I saw it. I haven’t stopped using it since because it’s so great. One thing to buyers though, aperitif play works WAY better on a phone than a tablet or iPad. This is just my opinion because to me it’s easier to control, but you can buy whatever suits you.

NOT worth it. The new update is AWFUL.. Honestly, I really liked this before they updated the app and how I could make the Sphero do cool tricks and dances but now, they updated the app and it’s completely different. No dance moves, or no fun challenges. In my opinion, the dance moves were the best part of it but now that it’s gone, there is nothing exciting about it. Yeah yeah you can still control it and move it around, but what makes this more special than other electronic cars or trucks? I wouldn’t recommend paying the money to get this product because it really isn't worth it.

Amazing. Everything about this is amazing. But it would be nice nice if you could add a feature that allows you to redo the aligning things because when I did it it messed up everything where if I go left it goes forward and right goes backwards etc.

Great app for sphero but what abt Ollie. This is a great app to use if you want to control any of the Sphero products. However it does not seem to have a function to control the Ollie, I bought the Ollie at release and enjoyed it for a while but one day it just got put onto a shelf and left there for a couple of years. I ended up deleting the app used to control the all leave and I wanted to revisit it this year but I can’t seem to find an app that controls it.

Suggesting and LOVE. I absolutely love this app and the little ball even though I just got it... But I do have a few suggestions... #1. You should have an option to add a name to the ball. Then people can have a official name for the toy #2. We shouldn’t have to reconnect every time we want to play #3. More colors please. I myself, personally love pastels, so i would love to have pastels on my ball so if you can please add a pastel option. Other than that I love everything about it.

My opinion on this product. I myself think this is a great contraption it is fun for all ages but lt is probably best for 10 through 14. It has games that you can control with the Sphero, You can also control it with an app on your phone, and it has plenty of other features! I only think they should add a Camera so you can see where you were going when you are controlling it. Other than that it’s pretty great . For Christmas I got four Spheros to give to my family members. They got excited immediately and ran off and played with it. So it’s pretty awesome and I think you or whoever you are getting it for will love it.

I Love This App!. This app is incredible! My family came home for Christmas and gave me the Sphero Mini and when we drove it the dog went nuts and the cat was hissing at the dog and we were dying laughing, thank you SO much for this memory! Omg!. five stars and “omg” title. Do i really need to say more? After i charged it, i was up and rolling. So fun! My dog and cat didnt think so (moo who ah ha) Only been playing with it for ten minutes. So much still to learn and do. My only input would be maybe putting a camera inside it so it can be driven without having to be by it. Also perhaps rubberizing the outside or putting rubber nobbies on it for beter traction. Also , maybe a speaker so it can bark or beep or growl or hiss or talk to my cat, my dog, my peoples. Great product. Already want another one.

The app is awesome, but the ball has a problem. Ok. So first off, I really like the app and think the game part of it is really cool. There are so many different ways to control it, so that’s pretty cool. The one flaw is the robotic ball. When I drove it off a really low chair (which is like a foot off the ground) the two halves came apart. I wish that they were held together better.

Sphero mini review. I love this app so much because you can control a small ball. And you have so many modes like games modes,drive modes and you have to scan your ball.

Great! but why?. So i bought my sphero maybe two years ago and i remember the app had many other things to do than this! like the small tricks when u can make it rage and dance tango. Where did you go with all these fun little features?

What happened to the Star Wars app for the robots. I don’t know what happened to the Star Wars app or the robots but me and my brotherI had this black BB-8 and my brother had an R2 D2 we played we played with it for a really long time Then we forgot about it today I was trying to find a link evil for my oculus but then I found my black BB-8 I didn’t know what the app was so I just put Star Wars robot and nothing showed up but then I try to find the company name but then I found it but then when I try to search for the app but I only found Sphero nothing was there I got really mad because we just spend a lot of money on this if you have kept the app you could’ve made a lot of money people could be buying your product no but you deleted it and you didn’t want any support could’ve gotten a lot of money

Great app. It’s a great app but you meet the toy to do it which is so fin the only reason that I gave it a four star review is because some times I lose connection when my internet is fine but other wise this is-an awesome app!

Fun but... When I got my Sphero 2.0 I was 6-7 and there was a lot of apps that you control the Sphero with. But I’m 13 at this very moment. There is only this app and a app called “Sphero” (Which in my opinion was the best app). And it was way more exciting. But now you could just move it around. But I know the Sphero 2.0 is discontinued but still 😕. Anyway I just wish Sphero made more apps for the Sphero 2.0, BOLT, Specdrums, SPRK+, R2-Q5, BB-8, mini, Ollie, etc.

Great but could use a few more features.. It would be nice to see the app laid out more like the SpheroEDU Drive app with the controls for the lights, speed, and movement all on one page. I do prefer the Play app for my Sphero Bolt because it works with the gyroscope on my phone to ensure the Bolt is aimed properly regardless of which direction I’m facing, and it does a few fun animations on the LED Matrix whereas the SpheroEDU app does not offer these features. I would also like to see the ability added to enable the Front LED and the Back LED and adjust the color as well as controls for the LED Matrix on the Sphero Bolt. Currently these features can only be enabled and controlled by writing a program for the Bolt. I’d like to be able to display a scrolling message on the screen of the Bolt, enable the front and back LED and drive the robot manually. Currently there’s no way to do this. Hopefully we’ll see an update soon.

Spherotacular. This game is awesome, you should get this app because you can move the Sphero in any way like the slingshot, the soccer mode, and my favorite, the joystick please get this app if you have a Sphero SPRK+, bolt, or mini!

Sphero 2.0 please!!!. I got a 2.0 for Christmas, and it is compatible with the edu app. However, I would like it to be compatible here too, and contacted you about it, and you said that 2.0 and sprk+ are now compatible. How do I connect my Sphero 2.0 to this app?!? Please respond soon, and maybe I’ll change my rating. Update: The new update for the app supports 2.0, so I changed my rating. Rating from teenage girl. I personally think that this is a good app I have had it for a while now it is very fun sometimes I am bored so I pull out my phone and see what I can do with it

Amazing features that should be added. This app and the toy are so fun. There are a few things I think should be changed. There should be more fun games to play with your robot. You should make a game we’re you can interact with your robot like it was a real pet. Like an alive pet rock. I also think you should add a new drive ability we’re the robot will track your mobile device using the app and follow you.

This is the best app on my I pad. This is a very fun app! Your Sphero could be used as a joystick for the little video games in it! It has like a million little settings that you can mess around with.

Disappointed the app never got same features as the old one. When I saw the old Sphero app, I really wanted to get it. But few months after I got a Sphero the old app as removed and simple version without many features as released. I was expecting for years the app to have at least few features back, but they never cared about being anything new to it. Really disappointed.

Sphero Mini Won’t Connect. My Mini won’t connect with the app. I tried everything on your support website, nothing worked! When the white light appears on my robot, it says it’s connecting but I consistently get the screen that says no robots found. I hope you can fix this!

Confused. I don’t enjoy this app as much as I enjoyed the old one. There are so many features, even with this app and Sphero Edu, that have been left out. Where did it go? None of the Sphero apps compare to the old one. I’ve checked out every app (even the third party ones, mind you.) and none compared to the old one. If you can, please let me know what happened to the app. Thank you.

Sphero mini is awesome. I own almost all of your Sphero products and I recently got the Sphero mini. Such an awesome product! I love how it’s less than $100 and is so portable! Plus it looks really cute next to my 2.0 Sphero. I can’t wait for future updates like new games in the app. I am also excited for new skin covers for the mini to make it look like an 8 ball or a golf ball.

Add The Tricks Back. I used to love sphero 2.0 all because of all the tricks it could do back when the sphero 2.0 app existed. I loved how the you had to do quests to unlock certain skills and the skills were super cool. If you could add the tricks back then I would be so happy!

Love the app but needs more!. I love this app but on the old app you could make sphero go on water and jump do flips and here you can only do games a control it,I would very much appreciate it if you could add all of those things back😊I hope that they read this.

Odd glitch involving sound. I went on sphero on my iPhone 12 and there is no sound. I turn my volume up all the way and still no sound. I turn my phone on silent mode on and off like 10 times and still no sound?! I shut down my phone and turn it back on and still no sound so I can and will rate two star

Aiming fearure needs to be more like in the Sphero Edu App. the controls (sphero 2.0) need to be fixed in that it should be much easier to adjust the aim. On the other apps, you hold down and rotate a button right by the joystick to adjust the aim, but on this one you have to click the button, wait like 2 seconds, adjust the aim, click back, and then wait 2 more seconds. With the sphere 2.0 I am constantly having to adjust the aim each time i turn my phone, which is stupid because i turn my phone the whole time while using it to look where the ball is. On the Ollie, it has auto-heading which is very nice, but the sphere does not have that. So, I recommend making the aiming more like how it is in the Sphero Edu app or how it is in the Ollie app.

It actually works!. I thought that it would be another thing that didn’t work at all. But I was wrong. I have a mini and you can play games, be a spy and sneak around the house, and change the color of your mini. I give this app five stars. Not to mention It’s soooooooooo cute

I want my old Sphero app back. This new app is so barebones compared to the awesome one I used to control my Sphero. I used to love this company but this has been such a frustrating process. I have a Sphero, a BB-8, and a Sphero Mini. When I worked at a certain red themed discount retailer, I would recommend these to everyone but I find it hard now. The original Sphero app was just to much fun to use but I can’t do anything with this. There isn’t even an option to connect my first (and favorite) Sphero that I got a couple years ago.

Awesome. This app is the best sphero app ever! I love how I can use my sphero MINI, but I can also use a friend's BB8 too. The best thing about this is that I have multiple games to play and multiple modes to use! Thank you for existing, sphero company!

Love it!. We bought this for my son who is six years old and he loves it! He gets experience coding and loves being in charge of this small robotic object. He has set up multiple obstacle courses and entertains himself for hours. Can’t ask for anything more during shelter in place.

New Update is Glitchy. I love the new update - Sphero 2.0 is FINALLY supported! But I've already noticed some glitches. One of them is when you are aiming the robot when you first open the app, if you point the blue dot on the Sphero towards you, it goes in the opposite direction of where you point the joystick. If you manually aim it again, it fixes it. This is really annoying because I don't want to have to aim my Sphero fifty times for it to work. Also, another thing is that the auto-aim feature isn't really that accurate. On the previous Sphero app, it was extremely accurate and I almost never had to aim it more than once.

Love the app!. I think the app is better to control and u have more control I do recommend the app if u have struggles with other ways👌But I do recommend u put some more games to play I sorta got bored from playing the same games over and over again! I also recommend to use the Sphero mini because the shell on it protects it from breaking.I dropped the robot like millions of times down the stairs (on accident) and it was perfectly fine! :)

Bb-8 discontinued?. My sister gave me her old bb-8 Sphero that’s no longer compatible with any apps I found out. Is there any way I could be emailed the old app that’s no longer on the App Store? SPRK I think it was called….. this droid was $150 and i find it very aggravating that it’s been discontinued just like that. Why not just sell these droids with remotes instead of some stupid app you’re going to delete in 6 years?? Millions of people bought these star wars droids and they’re money has basically just been taken away from them. Now all they have is some useless toy that can’t move unless they still have the app. Are there any 3rd party recommendations?.

Amazing. I love using Sphero Play for when I use my Sphero Bolt and/or my Sphero Mini. Sphero Play is extremely reliable and fun to use when I just want to play with my Sphero’s (Though the amount of compatible Sphero types could be added to so I don’t have to use Sphero Edu for my BB-8/Ollie/RvR/R2-D2 {all of which I actually own but can use on Sphero Play})

New App is Horrible!!!!. I’m sorry I bought a new Sphero. I love the Sphero but the new Sphero Play app was designed by someone who doesn’t have the slightest concept of what the end user wants and expects from the Robot via the App. Bring back the old App please!! If not, these negative reviews will begin to add up and you’re going to ruin your carefully crafted brand image. You built a great product but have tripped at the Start/Finish line.

New to Sphero. I’m new to Sphero and have jumped in with both feet we have a mini,bolt a 2.0 and the Ollie I got the mini as a Christmas gift for my grandson and just had to try it out 🙂 And enjoyed it so we have 4of them I like this app and will be great to have 1app to use all of them Looking forward to playing golf

Cool!. So I set up my robot and was ready to drive it but when I did I forgot where my dot was! Please mark where the dot is so that it is visible. In all I love this app and can’t wait for any updates to come!

little robot. Best thing I can play with all day without getting bored and all night without getting tired it is so good to play with it because you can get energy if you chase it and someone else is controlling it and that is what I think why mini is a good robo

Sphero mini. Sphero mini is a wonderful app that after you have used sphero edu for the educational side of things you can have some fun with you sphero.

Doesn’t support some models. The app doesn’t support some models and the company Has removed the specific apps that are compatible with said models. Really disappointed.

Won't connect. To start with this app was great. I loved it. But then all of a sudden it would not connect. I am not sure why. It was working to start with. It was fully charged. I was using sphero mini. My device is compatible, it is apple. And was in range. I really loved playing with it until it did not work.i have tried everything. Please fix this.

Sort-a good. Music makes the app feel more lively👍. Controls my Sphero Mini very well. Please add support for tricks like the old Sphero 2.0 apps. What I don’t like is NO SUPPORT FOR BB8! Please bring back the old apps or add full support in the new apps.

Small Problem. So, on the joy stick and basically everything else. Forward doesn’t go forward, backwards doesn’t go forward. And Left doesn’t go left and right doesn’t go right. Please fix this, I just got this and I love it so much!

My review. I fined this app very easy to use and it a lot of fun

Great fun!. The Sphero app is great fun, and I love to make it roll away from my cat so she can chase it, and the cat loves it too! The only thing is that it sometimes doesn’t pair the first few times I try, but that may be my fault, so it still gets 5 stars! There is no adds or in app purchases (for Sphero mini, at least. I don’t have the others, so I don’t know about them. Sphero is especially fun, and a great toy for kids, especially it they are into programming, but there is more programming on Sphero Edu. I highly recommend this app (and Sphero) for all ages, especially kids!

Bring back the fun games!. What happened to the fun games? Sharky the Beaver for example. What about some of the promised augmented reality? Why even waste time on this boring stuff that you keep crankin’ out

Does not work. My Sphero is fully charged it won’t turn on and there is no way to connect on Bluetooth AND this app is saying that there is no robot found when it is bright and colourful

Really good!. This app is really good although I do have a suggestion. In the game section you could add a game or games that are for 2 players. Either passing the ball back in forth between 2 players ( so you only need one) or letting players connect 2 balls so that they could use there own ball

Sphero decides how long you use this toy. Sphero 2.0 are now obsolete they don’t offer the app anymore and somehow was removed from my phone. I bought this used for my child as I’m on a budget and I can’t even use it imagine the disappointment to my child after I give him a toy that has a “lifespan “ despite that it’s fully operational

Also i read in the app description the was some face expression thing for sphero mini, could you add that for sprk+ too as that’s what I have. Also a lot of People have bolts so i recommend doing it for bolts as well

I know about the 2.0 thing. I think this is great! Sure it’s not perfect and has it’s flaws with the original and 2.0 Sphero but otherwise was perfect right down to the flaws

Took a week to work on an iPad. My daughter got the sphero mini as an early Christmas gift from my company and for the life me I could not get it to work on the iPad Pro 2016 running iOS 13.3. When I sent a request to Sphero I got an email back that obviously they did not read my email. The support staff is nice but took way too long to get a response back. My daughter almost started to cry when she got her gift that did not work but it works well on the iPhone (which my daughter is too young to have). Now when I think Sphero I think yeah you made my child cry.

Discontinued support. You no longer can have compatibility with the legacy products. I was so disappointed when I learned that you could no longer have your Star Wars droids roll around and play with. They need to still have compatibility with the legacy droids. Would rate 0 stars if possible.

Good Game. This game is great! I have a Sphero Mini and it drives my dogs crazy and one flaw is that half of the time the ball drives backwards when I put it forwards. Other than that it’s amazing!

Recommend. Great app designed specifically for Sphero robots and with many sound effects and accurate functionalities. I recommend this app. I currently use this for my Sphero Mini.

No longer support their own $300 product. I have a bb8 drone that they ‘no longer support’. $200 drone that they sell and do not support. Do not buy anything from them unless you would like to throw it in the trash when they decide not to support their own product.

So cool 🤗. This thing is so awesome. I love how you can play games and change the color of the sphero! But make sure u buy the sphero first. Definitely satisfying, you should really consider purchasing a sphero and getting the app!

Ollie Darkside. Online it said I could use my Ollie Darkside, but when I download the app I did not have an option for that. I really think that The creator should add an option for that. The old app that work for it was discontinued and taken off of App Store, So now there’s no way to use my Ollie Darkside

Crappy policies and bricks old models. Sphero 1 is no longer supported and I had to throw it in the trash. What is the point of selling a product that you will have no apps for in 5 years?? This is such a crappy product! I wouldn’t be surprised if apps no longer support even sphero 2 in a few years. Just abominably bad apps!

Best toy for my cat. My cat is older and this is perfect!!!! She loves to play but to move too much so this gets her moving a little and shows she still has heart of a kitten.

Fun toy!. What a great little creature! Driving it around the house is a lot of fun - sounds like a little creature scurrying about. You can do quite a bit with this Sphero mini; makes me want a larger one.

My opinion. I like this cause you can play games but I think you need to add a control to change the led on the Sphero bolt

What happened to the old app?. Dug my Sprk out of storage, charged it up, and this app connected flawlessly. But what happened to old app with all the games that you could play to unlock special moves and animations? This app just steers and changes colors. I want it so shake and make rainbows!

Really awesome but. The ballistic really cool. My cat especially loves it but I just have to keep recalibrating the ball. It would probably work best on a big, flat space

Sphero Play. I think this app is very fun and I love it, but I think you could add more things to make it drive. The face drive was very creative but I want a bit more. Other than that this is a very cool and fun app to play with!

Annoying sounds/animations. I love this product/app, but the sounds are a little obnoxious and don’t respect the sound switch being turned off on my iPhone. This behavior is different than every app out there.

I miss the old sphere app. I liked the old sphero app the best, there were more features and activities. I’m really upset that they removed the sound effects, I loved making my sphero sneeze as well as other sounds.

Works ok but product support disappears quickly. I bought both the Lightening McQueen car and R2D2 and now they are paper weights since Shpero has removed the apps for these. Both of these products were rather expensive so I wish you good luck being able to use your sphero longer than a year or two.

Awsome😁!. Great! Only thing might be a camera on top of it like BB-8, and maybe the robot could be made of rubber so it doesn’t get scratched so easily. Really happy though!

Where is the cool effects and pre setting moves from previous app?. I am not sure why sphero removes the special effects and special moves that you could unlock from the old app. The new app seems to be a huge regression compared to the previous one.

Absolutly horrible and I should a refund. I’ve had my Ollie and can’t find a single app to use it just sphero but no Ollie, I pay 100$ for this and now I can’t use it years later cause yall took down the app and now I have a useless piece of plastic and batteries that don’t even move

Please add. May you please add the sphero 2.0 in. I bought the sphero2.0 and it doesn’t work with this because there is no option for it. I can’t use the sphero app because I live in pa please fix that. I can only use sphero edu and it has no games on it please fix
