Working Fine For My iPhone 6 until update. The app was doing pretty good until it stopped working on my iPhone 6. Every time when I run a program my phone crashes. It still works with other devices but my phone. Can you fix this?

Really Good!. I have found no problems with this app. A great feature is that children can learn basic coding! Or you could control it different ways. You can also see and try out programs that other people made. Overall this app is a great way to spend time while coding!

I don’t see a problem it’s perfect. Perfect my bb9 works great it has great speed and is great for entertainment

Sign in through google is broken. Help I can’t log into my account Iv already updated the app but I can’t sign in with google anymore. I tried making a new account but the app says I already have registered my email. I can log on through the sphero website but not the app.

Amazing!!!!!!. I love how quick it is to learn and easy it is to operate. I also like how you can get advanced if you want and there are instructional videos and educational links to help you do anything you want to do.

Legacy Products. Worst app from Sphero that I have seen yet. I used to use 2 different apps to control my BB8 droid they had cool features like boosting and buttons to press to make BB8 shake his head, nod, survey etc. Since they have removed the other apps and moved into the EDU they have not added anything to make the droid enjoyable to drive. I can now only select one speed and have a joystick for directions that is all. They need to bring the better features over to this one I no longer receive what I paid for.

Really good but could use another bot. I know I know, there is so much robots already. But, I wanna see a new one or two. More under 👇🏻 =) Just kidding! But it’s a five star!!!!!!!!! Also how do u name ur droid/robot/bot? Mine, the Sphero mini, is Sm-B2de

It’s amazing. This app is great I use it to make programs but mainly to use other people’s programs, The only thing i dislike about this is that you can’t search people unless you go to Sphero’s website, other than that this is an amazing app.

Sphero mini. I love it kuz it fits in my pocket but the shell is crappy and should come with a rubber cover. I can’t figure out the games, though. Perhaps I should’ve chosen “parent” since I’m 35 instead of “learner” lol 🤙🏽

Great improvements!. My middle school students are enjoying learning to program. I love the new features, particularly the sound and the tracking data.

Latest update killed my programs. The latest update killed couple of my programs with the following when I view the program "this program can not be loaded. It must be properly formatted .lab file"

Very intuitive. The coding works amazingly well. This would be a five star review if the elements were better defined in the software. It is easy enough to discover how they work by finding example programs.

Great game. This game is amazing it teaches you you new things i wish that there will be a robot that will have camera on it so that you can drive other places without having to follow it everywhere. But all I can say is keep up the great work

Disable Free Drive Mode?. We love the Sphero Edu app and the ability to help kids understand the basics of coding! The only problem we have is that kids will often get sidetracked once they find out how to just drive the sphero around like an RC car. Is there any way to disable this feature? That’d be really helpful. If there isn’t a way to currently do this it’d be something nice to see in future updates!!

best app ever. this was the best app ever it was better then my star wars “Droids By Sphero” app it was glitching a heck of a lot thats when i found dis bad boy and played it also i cant recive the E-Mails for to activate my childs account and neither can i please help me and my son jimmy i still have the app but now i deleted so i hope everyone out there enjoys this app!! Great but sad. Once I got my arr2 for Christmas I had a great time and the year after that it didn’t charge or move at all I called Sphero and he said that I had to replace it but my parents won’t let me

Looks great. What would be awesome would have the ability to connect the Sphero original to the app the other programming apps are comber some to work with. this app is easy to get into. Now that I have a Sphero mini I wish there is some way to measure battery level.

I just simply love it. I think that this is the best app and robot in the world. I just want to ask for a modification. Its the camera. I kind of was expecting that the robot had a camera built in, so when I saw the word camera I thought that it would show what the robot saw. I was a bit disappointed. I hope you consider this, Thanks.

Connection issues. I had a bb8 when they came out in 2015 and it was great and I just found it again recently, basically mint, and I figured out that the original app no longer exists. So I found out that this app is compatible but every time I try to connect to it, it says connecting but does it for ages or the app will freeze and it never does connect. Quite sad that they charged $150 for these things in 2015 and now they are basically out of commission. This company blows and I will not buy any more products from it.

Something wrong with my bolt. I used to love Sphero but I am very disappointed at it now. I got a Sphero bolt for Christmas a year ago,I didn't use it just much and it was very well taken care of but 3 months later it wouldn't charge . I contacted sphero customer support somebody told me a couple things that I could try but that didn't work. I got it for Christmas so I don't know where it was from I didn't have the box either. I was told that I could only get a replacement if it was from the Sphero itself. My bolt broke within the one year warranty. Although I am frustrated with Sphero, Devrann Harding was a good customer support agent. Best regards Luke

Great app for school. I use this app for my 3-5 grade STEM club. Works with most of their devices and the schools chromebooks. I do wish it worked with older IPads since tech is limited.

Great new features!. I've used Sphero robots, to teach coding and robotics in me Ed Tech course, for 2 years. This app far exceeds the last version, it is user friendly and offers some fun new coding options. I'm looking forward to using this new app in my course this fall.

The Videos Won’t Play. I tried to do an activity after just downloading the app and the activity videos will not play. They are non-responsive.

Great app even for non programers. Just add microphone option. Great app. There are a a bunch of programs from the sphero community and I was even able to create my own through simple dragging and dropping some blocks. i am not a programmer but I could learn to use it without trouble. I love that I can set how my sphero moves, make sounds and speak. The sound library is good but I wish I could add my own sounds. Is it possible to enable the app to use a microphone so i could record my own sounds? Or at least include one from my ipad library? These would be a simple but great functionality to add in a future update.

Not working anymore 🤔. So, I loved the lighting lab...and this version came along and I was excited. But, when I create a new program it won't play and other programs I had don't work like they used to...like the vibrate option now shakes. I don't know why but I really want this app to work again...PLEASE fix it😔🙏🏼

I was scrolling through the programs people posted and saw something very very disturbingly creepy (I can’t unsee it now) that somebody decided to use as the pic they posted the program with. Kids my age shouldn’t have to see what I saw, that was too much for me to handle. If there is already a way to block people, I probably haven’t been looking hard enough, lol 😂 Also, I think that we should be able to do more stuff besides make programs if you don’t have a public account. It would be nice if there was a little guide that told you what each block does—e.g. explain how they work. I’m a first time programmer so I don’t know what “create a variable” and “true && true” means. Thx! Overall this is pretty fun. Videos not playing - Please fix. As at least another reviewer has noted, the videos are not working. When selecting a video, the player briefly launches with a black screen and then the app closes the player and reverts back to previous screen. This is happening on both my iPhone and iPad. The only way I can watch these Sphero activity videos is by performing the activity on my MBP (using Safari).

Read for info.... This game is very fun. I do recommend it, though I think Sphero play is a lot better. I have a Sphero mini it is harder to use for me my cousins have R2D2. It’s a Whole lot easier. I like how it teaches you coding, you can see people’s photos that they post. I sometimes see good things sometimes like funny screenshots from other apps like ROBLOX, Minecraft and fortnite. I recommend this app and the robot, but if your a parent and your child doesn’t have a phone or tablet, get them that first so their not asking you 24-7 can I have your phone or something like that. It is a very cool apps for not just kids, maybe pre teens or even teenagers or adults!

No public programs. Hi Sphero, I have to say, I LOVE your robots and I used to play with them every day! But now I can not post any public programs! I also can not view any public programs. Can you please fix that! Also, my bolt stoped connecting and I have only had it for 1/2 year. Can you tell me what I can do to fix it? Thanks so much!!

Amazing App to learn programming. I have the bolt and with this app it’s amazing tool to learn to program. I have been teaching my 6 year old and she just loves it. So simple and great examples. Love how the community is built right into the app.

No longer working. I had my BB-8 for two years, downloaded this app, and it was working fine. But, after a few days, my BB-8 no longer connects! I think it’s something to do with its antenna falling off, but I’m not sure. The BB-8 app works perfectly, but not this app! Please fix this! Edit: I finally got it to connect to BB-8, but now I can’t start the program! Please fix this! Edit of my edit: I fixed it. I just had an unnecessary “End program”. But now, days later, it won’t connect again!

Amazing! Must get!. The app has top me a lot of programming skills in the few days that I've had the app and I've had more fun with my sphero than I would ever have without the app!

Bad support. I can’t understand how a company would leave so many people unsupported after spending hundreds of dollars on their products.. This app does work for the Star Wars bots but not as they were initially intended and it’s kind of a joke.. The Star Wars line is pretty much useless since they removed the original App.. How about a paid version of the original App ?

Awesome Sphero. This Sphero is a great robot and a great app as well but one thing Is that it wobbles around after going at top speed. But otherwise it is a great thing to play with and I like that it can go on water 💧 😎😎😎😎👍👍

Garbage Company. Sphero is a garbage, scam company. Have 3 droids (BB-8, R2-D2 and BB-9E) and Lightning McQueen that no longer work because of this company just deciding to no longer make usable apps for them. Literally close to $1000 in items bought from this company that less than 10 years (5 in the case of Lightning McQueen) that just basically no longer usable. Go preach your education and building for the future somewhere else because the only thing you’ve educated me on is you only care about the money not the product. Unfortunately I can’t give ZERO stars because that’s what you would get.

I want my droid app back. I purchased the R2D2 droid from this company and it worked great and was fun to show off. Now I can’t use my R2D2 because the app for it was removed. This app however still has “basic controls” which is SMALL fraction of what the old app used to do! If Sphero could add additional controls, I would be HAPPY to change my review, until then 1 star!

sooo good. it is fun (this is coming from a nine year old) and it is educational. It’s so fun and interesting that sometimes I forget I’m learning! it is a good app so continue to update and improve for future people of the world!

In-app videos don’t play, makes it hard to learn. Seems like a bug, but reproduces on both my iPad Pro and my iPhone X. Every time I try to play a video in one of the activities, it brings up the video player for a second then dismisses itself almost immediately without playing. Makes it hard to learn how to use the app well to program the Sphero with my kids. Please fix! :)

Good app for learning and coding. This app is good for beginning coders is simple may have a couple bugs but honestly it's as big as you make it and how you imagine so have fun

Program Problems, Not!. With all other programming apps I’ve used there has been bugs, glitches, & viruses. In this program I have found no problems for my programming needs. Looking to program, & learn more about tech, I suggest this app! 😁😁💕

👌. When I found out that this app can be applied to all the Sphero toys,(not including Spider-Man or lightning McQueen) I was amazed! It unlocks features that aren’t normally available. And it makes coding easy. 5-Stars, 11 out of 10, 110%

BB8 controls available with this app?. Excellent app that is no longer available. What is your workaround using the current features of this app? Defiantly provides pause for purchasing school district wide products as our example has lost its app from Apple store access.

Easy to Learn!. Very easy to begin coding BB-8. Went from Drive- Draw- Block in just a few minutes. 12 year old loves it! Also my class of PreK 4 learned in just a few tries!

Fun but couldn’t play😀😢. The game is really fun but I clicked on something wrong and I couldn’t get back! So I deleted it because I couldn’t play. It is still a fun game and it was my mistake. You should definitely get it, just try not to click the wrong thing!😂

Connection issue. I was excited when but I bought this robot for my son but I’ve been having a lot of issues with connection this company has terrible customer service they never got back to me regarding my concerns I’ve tried everything they suggest on their website it will connect once then won’t connect at all spent all day trying to connect I’m very disappointed I regret buying the robot they heavily market this robot as educational but it can’t be educational if it doesn’t work i don’t recommend people buy it

Disable Drive. I work at a school, and all the student will avoid the coding and drive the Sphero. There needs to be an option to disable students from driving as well as setting limits on speeds on how fast they can go

Kinda hard to program. It is very hard to program for me, I dunno why. On scratch mit from computer 💻 it is much EASIER for me becomes its commands make a little mor sense but this game-a little hard to program, but it just might me me. I like this game though.

Won’t stay connected. First off, I love the Sphero and think it’s a great educational tool. However, I can’t leave this app more than a one star review simply because it’s basically unusable. After purchasing two Sphero Bolts for my kids for Christmas I am unable to maintain a reliable connection. I keep getting a “Bluetooth is disabled” error randomly with a connection usually not lasting more than about 2 minutes. Bluetooth is fine as it works with Apple Watch and speakers. Same problem with 2 different iPhones running iOS 14.3 and 2 different iPad Air 2’s running iPadOS 14.2. However, I do not get this problem when connecting to a MacBook Pro running Big Sur, so I suspect it is an iOS 14 problem. Contacted Sphero Support via webpage 10 days ago but no response as yet.

YES. I got a Sphero SPRK+ for Christmas and I loved it getting my cat to chase after it and using mixing bowls like the bowls at a skate park the only bro lemme I have is that there needs to be a clearer labeling system because most of the time I see a really cool project that someone else made and then I tap on it all exited only for it to say this project is not compatible with your model of sphero because most projects/ games require a sphero bolt that is all cya everybody

Sphero. Ever since I was 2years old I’ve always wanted to build and play with a robot. Then I discovered sphero wich is an amazing app it lets you create and play with all different types of sphero. You can do a lot with the spher edu app and I really enjoy it.

Great at school but one problem…. Now, this is amazing to use at school and I love it, but there is one problem. Last time I had to do it without an account, but when I tried to sign up this time, it all worked until I had to put my mum’s email. I put it in, but it said that YOU COULDNT USE AN @ SYMBOL!!! I don’t get why you made it like this, like millions of people have @‘s in their emails. It is very annoying, so could you please change it?

I’ve always dreamt of commanding a robot. ... since childhood. Now with Sphero SPRK+ I can finally! Love how I can use Edu to program it. Once available, it’s just a matter of time before it involves into something even better! I just wish there will be more people getting into it and Sphero can come out with more accessories! I’m sure Sphero will have a long way to roll (pun intended)

😡. I tried to sign up the first time but it said error 1104 occurred. I deleted the app, downloaded it again but it still didn’t work. I tried multiple times to make it work with and without internet but..... no.. just no. I am very disappointed with this and want it fixed immediately 😡😡😡

Error 403. It’s great, but I’m REALLY annoyed with error 403. I try to make my program public, but I can’t because of error 403. The same thing happens when I like a program. Its really annoying. Please fix.

Just one question. I love this app so much but what about a find sphero button. Because some people can lose their sphero and want to play it because their sphero apps are waiting for them. Everything but that is amazing!!

Programming Professional. I LOVE THIS APP!!!! This app has taught me so much about programming and scaling. I enjoy playing with my little Sphero SPRK+ and programming it to do cool stuff. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone when they get a sphero.

Sphero bolt. My sphero bolt won’t connect. I have the best internet but the firmware won’t update

Quality Educator, but some issues. This app is a very useful tool for people looking to learn how to code. This is a fun way to see what level you are at with coding using a robot. The app might take a second to get used to, but if you are someone who’s experienced with coding, you can zip through that in no time. The app may be free to install on your phone, but the Sphero robots are not cheap, so it wouldn’t be worth it for the casual person to try something like this out. There are some strange bugs with the Sphero connection as I had issues with connecting the robot. When you are asked to double tap your Sphero to wake it, it took quite a few taps for it to work. Overall, the app is organized, concise, and appealing for coding lovers and robot heads alike.

Awesome!!!!!. The Sphero that I rented from FVRL Is Just As Awesome As The App

Nothing but disappointment. I have bought an iPad Pro and a Sphero Bolt mainly to teach Swift programming to my kids. I am not a professional programmer, but I know a little bit. I am sorry to report I had nothing but disappointments with my setup. First, the Sphero playgrounds wouldn’t connect to the Bolt, simply because the Bolt was too new and they hadn’t updated their code. Yes, I contacted support to no avail, all they would say was what I just wrote. After a months long wait, I could finally connect, and started trying Sphero Arcade 1, programming a Pong game with Sphero as a ball. I soon found out that one of the pages in the Playground wouldn’t open, and threw an error onscreen. I thought I would find a way to get around it, as it was an introductory page, probably with little code on it. Then I got to a point where we should use a built-in function to change the main led color. No help whatsoever on the syntax of the functions parameters: even searching online, after 40 min trying everything from standard names to rgba values, could get past the syntax error. How is a kid supposed to learn from that? Even with a dedicated parent trying to help? It’s not like I am ignorant in coding, I can get my way around. I don’t know Swift, but that’s what the playground is supposed to teach - it shouldn’t expect us to know it beforehand. About his specific app: It is a challenge to keep kids from just playing around in this app, and getting lost in everything else but coding. As a parent trying to teach his kids, I can say that after a year owning a Sphero Bolt, most of the time was spent using it as a remote control car.

Download glitch?. When downloading it took very long, my device downloads 1gb in less than 5 minutes but this one took very long. It might just be that I am using an iPad Air

Oof. Junk. Won’t connect.. Nothing worse than sad kids waiting for this junky thing to pair with a new iPad. Shouldn’t be this hard. Don’t get one!!!

Super fun!. Super fun and my daughter loves it very much.

THE BEST!!!. Sphero Edu is THE BEST app in the world there are so many different things to do and different robots it works with, I find it so fascinating how much a little circle ball can do so many different things when you program it to. I would really recommend getting one of the robots and this app to play with, if you do you’ll love it just like me!!!

Couldn’t use it. I was really excited when I got this app. I needed it for summer school, but when I downloaded it, I couldn’t open the app. It would automatically exit the app. I hate this.

Very fun, until all your work is deleted. Great app, very fun to use, until all your progress on a program is deleted. I spent the last hour coding a program to make my SPRK+ dance. It was really fun, but then I exited the program to the Sphero Edu “Programs” menu, then clicked on the same program. ALL OF MY CODING WAS GONE AND THE PROGRAM RESET TO WHERE I HAD LEFT IT SEVERAL DAYS AGO! EVERYTHING WAS GONE! This happened to me before, too. PLUS, I had programmed so much that it’ll take me at least 30 minutes to bring it back to where it was! PLEASE fix this ASAP! When this is fixed, I will give Sphero Edu a 5-star review.

I know this. I know that even though I haven’t tried the app yet I still know that this app is gonna be good. I going to camp and I need this app. This is gonna turn out great.

It won’t connect. I love my Sphero and I love using this app to code and drive it but if it won’t connect I can’t use it. I do have faith you can fix this bug, please do.

Great App!. The only things I have complain about are the special lessons which you have to pay $100 to read. and sometimes my RVR won’t connect and when it does connect it can lose connection easily. That would have been fine but my RVR just keeps going until it hits a wall. But otherwise it’s a great education tool.

Sphero doesn’t care anymore. I have Ollie. I went to re-download the app. I found out that this is the new app. It is so disappointing that they removed half of the features that I loved, like the trick pad and the easy way to edit different lighting patterns, as well as the ease of the app; you just had to open the app, connect, and you were ready to go. With this new app, you have to sign up, enter a password, and find your specific device, then realize they want to have the features. You can really tell that Sphero doesn’t care about their stuff anymore.

Love it. At this point I have self destructed my mini’s shell with raw motor block and that’s how much I love it 😇😎

Works for what I need it for!. 👌 The title says it all, it works for my Ollie and my Sphero, the only thing I could say is having two robots running at once would be nice.

Sections. It has to many sections, I had to spend 15 minutes trying to find how to program your robot. Apart from that it’s really good. Try to fix this Sphero! 👌🏻👍🏻😋

This sucks and is a scam.. You ruined the entire purpose of Sphero when I got it I was so happy but you idiots decided to brick my sphero by deleting the entire community. Look at scratch and think what you could have done.

Sphero. This is super fun! I had there in my class room and I loved it now I have one in my house! It’s also great for learning too! My point is ITS AMAZING!!!

App update wiped my programs. There was an app update. I had programs in my app that seem to have saved to your site. Now my programs are no longer in my app but they are still on your site. Don’t see how I can re-sync my app or import them back in my app.

Sphero Edu is better than Sphero Play! Which one will BB-8 and R2-D2 pick?. edu vs. play Much more of a better app in edu. Better is that? I made more programs than ever! Great job! My droids picked Sphero Edu. Great app!

R2D2 don’t not work with this app.. Sphero removed functionality for the Star Wars bots. R2D2 connects but will not work. We’ve purchased three Sphero bots in the past. We won’t buy anymore since Sphero removes support. Irresponsible. Support your customers!

Sphero. I like Sphero a lot. You can do lots of different things however I wish you could play music from iTunes on the Sphero itself.

Stuck on firmware update. I got a Sphero mini and when I tried to connect it to my phone, it was stuck on a firmware update screen.

My bolt’s Lights are not working. When I first got my bolt it was really great 👍 but now it’s lights are not working

Broken?. Can’t register because it thinks I have space in my email and I ensured it wasn’t me, some developers you are. My son was super excited to use this too.

BB8?. My bb8 is not working. It won’t connect to my phone. I don’t know if it’s because it has no head, and I need to know if you need the head. Help! PS: I have no idea what to rate you so 3 stars.

Depth in this app!!!. This app definitely goes #BeyondCode! I love the different levels for students. The Thursday Learn Day lessons are awesome!

FUN. This is so fun and I love the game. The app is easy to use but the Sphero just goes crazy. I tried to make a program and the app said that I could not do that weird but the best app in the whole world

Ollie and BB-8 not connecting. I have used this app for many months with my students and with the new update, several of their iPads have difficulty connecting to Ollie and BB eight. Spheros connect just fine, but it’s a hindrance to how I want to use the robot.

Love it, but one suggestion. I love the app, but I have a suggestion. In the coding, there is an ‘if’ block but the block is only Boolean. It should also have an int value so it could be like this: EXAMPLE: if Number() = 1 { MoveForward() } I know that I was showing text, but it is on the block coding.

M. I got a RvR for Christmas I got the app for my iPhone. I thought I was not able to make programs in jave script. I was able to Make programs in jave script

Glitch. Whenever I try to open any of my programs that I worked hard for hours on, it glitches out and returns to the home screen. This glitch is so annoying please tell me if you find a way to fix it

Crashes right away. Right when I open up the app it connects to my BB8 and right after the app crashes. Please fix this
