Curb side. I hope someone at giant eagle reads these and makes some changes. I love the idea of curbside and when I have used it the people are terrific, but the app is really, really bad. 1. The app should allow you to add groceries to your cart through the week and the submit when ready, but every time I go back in, my cart is empty again. 2. If I try to use the “list” feature, I cannot add the list to my cart. 3. The search engine is painfully slow and inaccurate, to the point where it takes me longer to shop on-line than it does for me to shop in the store. 4. There are a ton of items that are missing, for instance, Italian bread from the bakery. 5. The app is not intuitive in that it takes you around and around making you sign in multiple times if you happen to leave the wrong screen. 6. The app should also allow the option for the shopper to bring out your dry cleaning. POSITIVE FEATURES: 1. It allows you to easily change the number of a single item 2. It provides an image of many of the items, though many are still missing 3. If the item you choose is not available, they provide you the option to let your shopper choose another, but for me, most of the time, the alternative is not what I would want, but this might be a nice option for some people. Overall, I would use the curbside option all the time of the app was more user friendly.

Need a cancel order button. I ordered food to be picked 2 hours before my break so it would be ready at my break time. 30 mins later the job was shut down due to a lose of power in the building. I couldn’t cancel my order since I wasn’t going to be on site to pick it up and it was going to be ready in a 1-1/2 later. I called the store to cancel the order they said they won’t make the order. Later my account was still charged for the order. So now I have to deal with customer service to get a refund or a credit on my advantage card. Other than this it’s a good for ordering food when you can get it. I don’t have this problem when I order from sheetz.

Needs Apple wallet support. This app should be to able to add the fuel perks card to the Apple wallet. The current barcode is hard to get to sometimes, especially when app randomly decides to log me out. Worst of all, the “tilt to maximize barcode” function does not work at all, making it difficult to scan the barcode at the pump. I was able to add my fuel perks pass to the Apple wallet using a third party app, but this simple functionality should be built in.

Great App! Easy to Use. This app is excellent. Makes for a quick and easy check of my points. Your points are updated instantly so you know you always have up to date information. Clipping e-coupons are a breeze and take the hassle out of physically clipping coupons. Finding your closest Giant Eagle can be done right in the app which takes the inconvenience of switching between two different apps.

Questions and suggestions. What happened to my personal shopping list? I Know it’s good marketing for GE but resent going thro your incomplete inventory of choices. No Tomato Bisque soup, no angel food cake mix, etc. I know these items are on the shelf and that they are listed somewhere in a store computer. Liked it lots better when my past buying choices were my list! Don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful for this pickup service, but think your “improvements” to the website make it much more of a chore than it needs to be. Could we have a search button to enable plooking for a specific item that we know is stocked in the store? PLEASE, there has to be a way to make this more thorough and more efficient from the consumer end.

Error message with the app. Since the last update, I’ve been getting the following error “Sorry, something went wrong. Please check your connection.” I logged out of the app, logged back in and still had the same problem. I deleted the app, reinstalled it & still have the same problem. I notified GE customer service but the app still has issues when I click on the home and profile tab.

Good, but could use a couple small changes with big impact. Having the advantage card here instead of having to carry around another thing on my key ring is nice, but what would be wonderful is the ability to add it as a pass to the iPhone’s digital wallet. That way, it’d just be a double click away instead of waiting for the app to load up. Another issue I’ve run into (and I think this one actually may be a bug) is that the scan and save QR code’s on the in-store price tags just open to the coupon page rather than to the item/deal itself. Often, the deal isn’t even on that page—if it’s advertised in-store, it should be there on the app. I’m not going to be the customer who calls a manager to his checkout lane to save a buck every couple weeks, but the in-app convenience doesn’t appear to be working as intended. I hope someone on the dev team sees this because these seem like relatively small changes to me that would make the app that much better.

Useful but frustrating. I primarily use this app to order food for pick up at GetGo. This app used to work pretty well for that particular purpose. However, at some point, an update took away the “back” button when ordering. This makes ordering an extremely frustrating process. Let’s say I want to order an item. I choose the category, customize it, and it to my order. In order to add more food to my cart, since there is no “back” button, I need to select the option at the top of the screen to choose a getgo location or pick up time. As far as I can tell, this is the only way I can get back to the beginning of the process. In another scenario, let’s say I want to explore the menu options under wraps. If I don’t like any of the choice, or they’re sold out, or I accidentally went into the wrong food category, I need to press the getgo location or pick up time option from the cart to get back to the top menu. If you could add the back button again, I’d really appreciate it.

Do not forget where your card is. You would think by downloading the app you would no longer need to keep the card... WRONG!! The app AND any email promotions still require you to MANUALLY INPUT the Advantage number. They do not allow you the convenience of copy/paste, or just signing in eliminates the need for it... unlike many of the other apps. I was completing a comment form and even while signed in to the app it required me to key my number. Fortunately, I had my Apple notes open with my Advantage number, but what’s the purpose if you need to get the number from your card even when you’re already signed in to the App? Apps are supposed to make it more convenient and easy, not cumbersome and tedious.

Giant Eagle app feedback. I like this new app a lot. Only thing I want to see added is being able to see certain offers that are loaded onto my Advantage card. For example, I had a coupon for get a flu shot at Giant Eagle and receive $5 off groceries. The $5 off would be loaded onto the card. It takes “up to 24 hours to be available”. Problem is, there’s no way of seeing it on the Advantage card on the account. You just have to buy stuff and let it deduct. I’d like to be able to see stuff like that in the future.

USELESS. This app is useless! First of all I don’t buy my groceries from GetGo, I shop at GIANT EAGLE! I was so disappointed and upset when you renamed the app GetGo a while back. I don’t need coupons for GetGo! Why have all these other apps that I don’t need when all the info I need was on the Giant Eagle app before?? I guess this means you are eliminating ecoupons for the grocery store??? I don’t want or need to have all the other apps on my phone! Why have all these separate apps? That doesn’t make sense. If this doesn’t change I will just have to delete the app altogether. If it ain’t broke you don’t need to fix it, you ruined a good app to make 3 more??? STUPID!!

Slow, clunky, always logs you out. This app is supposed to be convenient, but every time I go to use it it’s logged me out. I try and log in and it says try again later. When you actually get logged in and try to order food, the app is very slow, and the ordering pages are not very streamlined. After you add a food item, there’s no way to just return to the beginning of the menu. You have to hit back thru 4 pages just to get back on the menu home, and that takes forever because the app is so slow!!!!

Update not helpful. Missing vital info and tools. When do my perks expire? What balance do I have remaining on my e-gift cards? I may never know... I was forced to update to a new Giant Eagle app and when it did, it updated to GetGo not Giant Eagle. That’s not helpful or what the former app was focused on... the GE perks and wallet and coupons with a connection to shopping. You must have totally phased out the old GE app, why it forced updates to the Get Go app is a mystery. I realized the existing newer Giant Eagle shopping app is also updated, but it doesn’t show my “wallet” where I have balances on my e-gift cards! Also the fuel perks section no longer says how many perks are expiring on the upcoming date. I used to reference this all the time. Also the ability to compare perks benefits... what perks = percentage off grocery’s vs. $ off per gallons of gas. If you’re forcing everyone to the new remote shopping app then include all the information and functionality. I need my gift card balance and accessibility back and want to know when my perks expire!

Item value and item sort. Has the same problem as all other shopping apps. Need to be able to sort by value like price per ounce or per serving or per load (laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo etc). The aisle product view should automatically come up the same as the aisle in the store, all one type of product together and all products from the same vendor together (example milk, yogurt, snacks, laundry detergent, etc.). I shop by product, value and brand or vendor when I am in the store. It would improve my “virtual” shopping experience if I could do the same through the app. These changes would make this a 5 star app for me (and in my opinion, for everyone).

So much for the wallet!. I have been storing my gift cards in the wallet on the Giant Eagle app. More than once, I have bought a restaurant gift card electronically through Giant Eagle, only to not be able to download it in the wallet. Some of the cards are placed in the wallet automatically. The message I get is, “Please make sure you have completed all fields and then try again.” That is after copying and pasting the card number so as not to make a typo. This is very frustrating!

Omgoodness🤦🏼‍♀️. My order just went to an old address even though I switched it days ago and have screen shots of this. Also you never know if they really have stuff so its a game of ordering dif products incase and wakeup to see. Then as you wait days for it toy can't edit incase you had to purchase the bread elsewhere bc you couldn't wait etc and the coupons I can't submit to the 3rd party delivery person bc they don't know what to do with them. You cant pay with anything but debit or credit if it's delivery either. Really frustrated now that 90% of things I ordered weren't in such like herbal essence volume shampoo and that I been waiting for it and just got sent a pic of my stuff at old address 😩

Terrible app. Why doesn’t your app show current advantage pay fuel prices for individual gas stations? The phone numbers that are shown on your app for the gas stations are not able to be clicked to call. I have to manually input the phone number into my phone to call it rather than just click on the link on your app. And half of your gas stations don’t answer their phones. Please fix the links that you already have available so people can use them easier and list the advantage pay price on your app

Good idea. Terrible execution. While, like any other app for stores or restaurants or gas stations, the idea is great. Always love being able to preorder food from my phone, too bad i can’t with this app. Have only been able to log in twice since i downloaded the app, despite trying to order food countless times over the last few weeks. I finish an order, press check out, it makes me log in again, despite the fact they have all my other information as if i was logged in, then the app freezes and i see nothing but a loading circle until i close the app and restart that exact process. Love getgos food much more than sheetz, just a shame I end up ordering from sheetz instead anyway cause it’s easier. Play up to your competition, work on the bugs in the app, don’t play down like you’re competing with a local speedway.

A terrible replacement. Giant Eagle is pushing this app as the new replacement for the Both the Giant Eagle and GetGo Apps, as a great All In One app. The problem is that if they want this to replace the current GetGo App then incorporate the features of the GetGo app that people use. They seem to ignore that one of the GetGo features that is probably used the most is the ability to check out the price of gas at multiple GetGo station. While I like a good sandwich, I really don’t need to place my order ahead of time if it means sacrificing the ability to search multiple GetGo Locations, finding the one closet to me that has what I’m looking for be it a car wash, or the fact that gas is cheaper at Location A versus Location B if they do that first, then I might decide to use the app to order a sandwich, but incorporate the right features first then add the “extra” convenience features

Would rate a zero if possible!. This app has not worked for me since the update. I have contacted support with the issue to the point they now ignore my complaints. I’ve reinstalled numerous times, did a hard reset on my iPhone XS, iPad Pro, and iPad (yes, tried it on all devices), checked my location services and notifications settings, and after all these months, if I click the weekly ad, I still get the same message: “Sorry, something went wrong. Please check your connection.” Someone want to tell me what I’m supposed to check?? It must be on my end, because a whole bunch of people think this is the greatest app ever! Of course, if support actually responded, maybe I wouldn’t be writing this now.

Frustrating issues. This app is useful, but also frustrating. If it can store my name & amount of my annual savings, then it should be able to also remember my preferred store and previous purchases. We use this app to save time, to make more efficient use of our time off work & to help restore some quality time together when we are off work. The recent app updates are now necessitating additional time to be spent re-creating my grocery list & even having to re-select my preferred store. When searching for grocery items or when reviewing e-Coupons, after looking at a specific item, it takes you back to the very beginning of that page, not where you had just been within the app—this means you must take additional time to find your way back to where you had been. It is very irritating. In the time it takes to re-create my list, I might as well just physically shop at the store. Hoping that Giant Eagle will quickly improve this app. We love Giant Eagle; however, many competitors are now also offering curbside pickup & home delivery options... it might be time to consider trying some of them.

Still screwed up!. It says that the weekly flyer issue has been resolved. NOT SO!! I cannot access the weekly flyer after repeated attempts at deleting and re installing the app. Furthermore, my current shopping list has disappeared, rendering the current version 100% useless for my needs. I am not a happy camper! My repeated attempts to contact Giant Eagle about this issue has resulted in computer generated responses and zero action. Giant Eagle is about to lose a loyal big spending customer. Whatever happened to “If it ain’t broke, it don’t need fixin?” The old version did everything I needed for it to and made shopping from the flyer easy and convenient. The new version is USELESS!!

Why is this no longer the store app?. This has been the Giant Eagle store app for several months, since they discontinued support for the “classic” store app. Now, suddenly, with the update to version 5.0, it’s GetGo only, and you have to download a *different* app for the main store (three apps, actually: one for online ordering, one for pharmacy, and one for “scan while you shop”, for a total of four separate apps). The other grocery stores I shop at combine all these features into a single app. I’m not sure which annoys me more: the fact that GE wants me to use four separate apps, or the fact that the app that used to be for the main store was suddenly switched to being for the gas station only. This was a boneheaded move from a company that has had trouble with their apps since their very first one. Every time they fix one problem, they create others, usually through making bad decisions. If you want to make a useable, useful grocery app, GE, look at the apps for Kroger and Meijer. They work. Yours doesn’t. If it weren’t for the fact that there are a couple of items that I can get locally only at GE, I’d stop shopping there altogether just because the app experience has always been horrid.

Frustrating. While I appreciate the lifeline Giant Eagle is providing, the app is not user-friendly. It takes an hour or more just to slog through the items. It would be so much better if they would group like items together, for example: Place all Chobani yogurt together, all Yoplait, etc,; all the hamburger, bacon, eggs, etc. In that way I could browse through much faster. And it would be very helpful if when you open an item, they would include a picture of nutrition facts next to the picture of the product front.

Good, but needs improvement. I do love this app-lots of coupons to use, and it’s so convenient to have the advantage card on my phone. However the old Market District app, which is no longer supported, was much better. With the new app it takes 8 hours to get a receipt and I’ve had issues with coupons where they don’t get deducted when I purchase the item, and they don’t get removed when they expire. It really needs to be as good as the old one and it isn’t.

I need to have 4 apps - really?!. Why can’t you have just 1 app? Instead, you have to have FOUR. That’s frustrating. I love how the curbside delivery app is set up. It’s actually logical. You can browse products by aisle. This makes sense - BUT it’s for pickup or delivery. The in-store app doesn’t have items by the aisle. It doesn’t make sense. When I saw the curbside app, I thought finally, Giant Eagle is going to make it easier for me. But alas, they didn’t. Now Wegmans has the BEST ever app. It’s designed for all shoppers. It even reminds me that I might be out of something. I can shop by aisle. I can get recipes. You can add items to your grocery list right from the recipe! Come on Giant Eagle, step it up. There is a Giant Eagle store only 3 blocks from my house - but I will go to across town to Wegmans in part because they have a great app. Come on Giant Eagle step it up and win me back!

GetGo Discount Roulette. I really like the mobile ordering aspect of the app, but it’s frustrating when you never know if your discounts will be applied. I don’t think it’s right that discounts aren’t shown in your total price until AFTER you place your order. I’ve never shopped with another merchant who says they’ll charge you and then apply your discounts after you place your order. I’ve had two incidences where food discounts weren’t applied, and the full price of my items were charged (i.e., half off apps). But really, who is going to fight to get a refund of a dollar or two multiple times! That’s probably exactly what the developers wasn’t to happen, assuming most people won’t put up a stink about a buck. Eh, I should probably cut down on my food on the (Get) go anyway.

Frustrating. I have loved the getgo app in the past. Having the convenience of purchasing a gift card for the exact amount needed and then receiving it instantly were so helpful. That was before the new changes to the application. Now when I purchase a new gift card, it does not get uploaded to my wallet. Then there is the issue that it takes at least 10 minutes for it to be emailed to me, if it comes at all. I tried to purchase Ebay gift cards last weekend 3 different times without success. Is Giant Eagle preventing the gift cards from being automatically uploaded to my wallet in the hopes that I’ll just forget about them? I’m sure this would increase their profits but it certainly doesn’t help me. Please just go back to the old system.

Giant Eagle has a poor app.. The e-coupons are not responsive to touch. Yet sometimes it is too easy to accidentally clip a coupon because the swipe feature, to move or scroll to another coupon is too easy to activate. Plus, all my gift cards in the Wallet section are showing a balance of $0; after clicking refresh. So- either this app just stole all my money, or the app has some serious customer service failures.

Great job hermitage pa. This is to the workers at Hermitage Pennsylvania they all do an excellent job at keeping things wiped down a young man told me all the carts had been wiped down and there was also a lady with disinfectant wipes if you wanted that also. The cashiers were making sure everything was clean I really felt comfortable and safe with shopping at my giant Eagle thank you very much picky shopper

Super-great pharmacy. I can’t say enough about Canfield Giant Eagle Pharmacy. They went beyond imagination to help me today. I flew 1700 miles from home and forgot my blood pressure medication. I made one call to Giant Eagle pharmacy when I got to my destination and they took care of everything. They called my doctors for my scrip, then called a pharmacy in the city where I I was to order it for me. They then called me back to reassure me that it was all taken care of. It was done in less than 2 hours. Thank you pharmacy staff at Canfield Giant Eagle!

Can’t link Advantage card. I’m giving 3 stars just because I think GE is a great store and has really great products and owners/management. The problem i have with this app is that 1, you can’t look up your advantage card by name or phone number so i can’t link my card because i haven’t seen it or carried it since i got it years ago; and 2, you can’t filter your loacation search by whether they have a Wetgo or not. This is very inconvenient for someone who has the unlimited car wash plan. If you guys ever change this i will change my review to 5 stars.

Can’t add card to apple wallet. I have a couple of problems with this app and with my advantage card. I have two cards associated with my phone number, apparently. The other card stopped working at some point in the app, or I lost it. Now I am only getting credit for some purchases. Also, I can’t put this card in my apple wallet for some reason. These two things prevent me from using it. In fact, I find myself driving to marcs or Walmart just because I don’t feel like using a discount card to get the same price. It requires occasional logins when I need it to just be there.

Good with room to grow. The latest addition of the gift card tracker is awesome!!! A few additional features that would make it best in class. 1) the ability to scan/photograph the card for easier entry 2) the ability to self categorize cards instead of the default sort by vendor name 3) the ability to add any card - including those that aren’t sold by Giant Eagle. There are some like Macy’s and others that Giant Eagle sells and they couldn’t be entered. 4) barcode conversion so that vendors can just scan to use.

Love this app. Just got this app after a co-worker told me about it, an I tell you I have enjoyed every minute of it, I bought a e-gift card and got perks for it from home, made a grocery list and clipped coupons, then got gas and was able to view my fuel perks from my phone and paid with my gift card all from my phone. Can’t say enough about this app I love it, thank you.

Too redundant. I really don’t need a slider to calculate my Perks. A whole page was wasted with that. What I would like is the ability to see my past purchases, make a shopping list, see the weekly ad (not having to scroll through a list of individual items). Where are my prescriptions? Can’t order refills through this incarnation, but can see my pharmacy Perks, which is useless. Unable to load coupons on it. Received a GE email coupon for a free box of cereal, but it won’t transfer to my card or show on the app. While it’s pretty to look at, one can only hope that the app designers will make it more practical for shoppers, giving us actual services rather than more info about Perks.

Will not stop signing me out!. I try to use this app almost everyday on my way to work, and each time it makes me resign in before I can find my store, and then sign in again before I order, and then a third time after I put in my payment info before it sends the order to the store! And the past few times it sat on the loading screen for 20 minutes, I want to use this and love this app, but it is insane to have to constantly sign in! Other apps similar hold my info and make it simple for me to go in and just reorder at the same place and has my info there, and takes 2 minutes. I shouldn’t have to sign in 3 times to place an order than took me a minute to pick what I wanted. I hope this gets fixed, because I would love to use it.

Not as user-friendly as the old app. This new app is not as easy to use as the old Giant Eagle and Get Go apps. I can’t find a way to easily locate the Get Go locations and fuel prices. When I click on the Get Go icon in this new app all that comes up is an option to order food through the app. Also some features I liked to use in the old Giant Eagle app, such as purchase history for Giant Eagle and the price of fuel at my favorite Get Go, are buried in this app and took me a long time to find. I will likely not use this app as much as I did the old ones as it just takes too long to find what I need

Not for use in store. I like to grocery shop and have avoided the latest fad of home delivery or in store pickup. It seems that the app is geared primarily towards that end though, with little or no usefulness, at least that I have seen, for shoppers that are walking the aisles. For instance, searching for “cheesecloth” identifies 2 options, with a small picture, price per unit, and brief description. You can add the item to your list or have it ready for curb-side iCloud or home delivery. What it doesn’t tell you is where to find it in the store! Some of the Market Districts are huge with non-traditional layouts. Sometimes I’m so lost that I can’t find the door! The app should say the amount in stock, the stock location, a map showing where in the aisle, etc. gives me enough information that I can walk to the correct section of shelf!

this store is slow and the most customer unfriendly store. I have never shopped at a store with as bad a layout or a store that wont let you self checkout without a giant eagle advantage card i downloaded this app thinking i could get a virtual card with this app just so i didnt have to wait 30+ minutes i a line 3 deep (update i walked out of the store leaving my cart full of groceries after 40ish minutes) i was wrong im not sure how you get a card i think you have to take even more time and go to the store when customer service is there (which is rare) and sign up for one or something for something that is meant to help THEM and NOT the customer (though it tricks many customers into believing they are getting a deal because of that card) it would be so easy to allow customers to signup for a virtual card on the app (i never have any store card because the fall appart and off my key chain in a couple months and im not carrying dozen cards and i know many other people do the same thing) this app is a total failure as far as im concerned it wont even let me fully signup because i dont have a card AND it wont let me message customer service for the same reason

Where do you create a shopping list?. So I get the message there’s a new app. I say sure, give me the new app. Am I just dumb, but I can’t find a way to just create a shopping list on this app. Only option I see is for Curbside pickup. Excuse me, but I just want to make a shopping list, go and get the stuff myself. So now if I want to do that I can’t create a shopping list? Oh, and I love that I set up my preferred store in the app then click on curbside and it takes me to the webpage and I must select my store there. And it’s acting like I live in another state, so I just tell them my preferred store again. Why?

No Support for iPad, Busy Interface. The Giant Eagle apps are plain unsightly with interfaces that are way too busy. Shopping list function leaves a lot to be desired from. Hey Giant Eagle, an app doesn’t need to have everything your website has! The key functions should be store locator (yours always assigns the wrong GetGo with no way to edit it!), ability to browse specials and search for products, get current prices on products even if they’re not on sale, create simple shopping lists even directly from the weekly ad, browse and clip e-coupons and manage one’s account. It’s also desirable not having to log in nearly every time one opens the app, and being able to use the app on an iPad without issues, as it would be infinitely easier to browse - not to mention deal with your ridiculously busy interface - on a larger screen. Do yourselves - and your customers - a favor and check out Kroger’s far better mobile app. Learn from it.

App keeps changing. I am constantly confused by this app. It keeps changing which makes it even worse. First, I don’t understand why there are 3 different apps for one store and why my wallet is in the get go app rather than the rather Giant Eagle app. Second, the wallet used to be very useful when I could purchase gift cards and they would go to my wallet. One update changed this making you have to add them manually and you can’t add some stores. But in the newest update I’m not even seeing that you can add them anymore?? Last, this app no longer shows me when my fuel perks expire. It just seems Giant Eagle/Get go is trying to make it harder to use the fuel perks and gift cards. Bring back the old app!

Poor response time. I notice that, consistently in the late evenings, the ap does not seem to responsive. The store lost out on a $50+ order once because of this. Right now, Tues, 10:35 pm ESR, I’m having the same problem. Even in the day too, though, the ap is VERY slow to respond. I find myself adding my item to my get n go order multiple times bc it is so slow. Once it finally does respond, it has 4-5 of that item! It should be much more nimble. In addition, I would like to be able to add special instructions. For example, when I order a 14 inch caprese sandwich, I want it cut into 4 pieces & each piece individually wrapped. I also want the pesto spread on top & bottom halves of the bread, not too much on 1 side only, thereby making that side of the bread soggy. Some people do this but some don’t. There is no option for special instructions & there should be. Also, for that same sandwich, it asks if you want no cheese. The cheese is ALREADY in the sandwich. The question should be, do you want ADDITIONAL cheese. I once said no to the cheese question& they removed the caprese, making it a pesto tomato sandwich!

App useful, but could use some updates. Would like to be able to sort the items in My Shopping List, so that they could be grouped by store aisle or at least by category. Now I have to scan the list to see what is in the current aisle. If there is an e-coupon for an item in My Shopping List, I would like it to be automatically clipped. Then I would not have to sort thru all of the available ones to get the ones I wanted.

Disappointing. This app is not very user friendly. It doesn’t give you the same customization apps as the in-store MTO screens, and it seemingly makes choices for you that aren’t shown on your order. I ordered a breakfast burrito, and it only showed me three options for toppings. It never asked me for cheese preference and instead just said no cheese. And then it didn’t even go to the store correctly. I scheduled pick up for 2:15. Got to the store at 2:20 and waited. By 2:40 the guy behind the counter asked what I had ordered and said the order never came through to him. I love GetGo and Giant Eagle, so I’m really disappointed in how this app works.

Fantastic App!. The Giant Eagle app has everything you need as a shopper. It’s great that it gives access to see your local stores ads and that you’re able to order food from Get Go. Me and my wife have used the curbside pick up several times and it’s great for when we are too busy to shop in store. One of the features we like is to be able search for any gift card. We use to go in store to purchase them but not it’s right at our fingertips! Highly recommend this app to everyone.

Very nice, but.... The app is very helpful and mostly easy to use, but logging in could be made less tedious if it supported TouchID on the iPhone, or at least used the phone’s auto-fill password capability, so that my G.E. password could be saved and then entered as a single touch event. I’m no spring chicken anymore, and keeping track of the numerous passwords I use for various apps, and then typing them in on a tiny keyboard, is becoming too big a project for me! Otherwise, well done!

Needs improvement..... The only thing this app does is hold your advantage card. But why not allow it to be added to the Apple wallet with my other cards?? Other stores do it and it’s great. Also, what’s the point of letting me add a gift card if they can’t scan it at the register?!?! Isn’t the point to NOT have to carry the physical card in?? I have a $25 gift card that I couldn’t use today because they couldn’t scan the barcode. That’s ridiculous! This app needs serious improvement before or can be called “useful”.

THATS MY GIANT EAGLE ADVANTAGE. I love the app I let my mom use my perks so she keeps my card and I can easily use my app I never don’t have my phone so i always have my card as well I like that I can easily see what’s expiring and when without a receipt I love having my receipts emailed to save on paper! I also like that I can easily clip coupons that load right on my card all and all it’s a great app I don’t have any complaints

Weekly Ad. I would prefer that your weekly ad in your app be presented like your ad in your stores with the option of zooming. Unless I have missed something, your ad presentation is item by item and that can be quite tedious and time consuming. Every other stores’ ads are presented on their apps like the paper ads you pick up in the store. If this is your idea of uniqueness, you have not made a good choice. Whose great idea was this?

Love it but can we add this!?. I love the app! I utilize the email my receipt when I’m in store but I wish that it could to added to the app because I have had a few issues not getting my receipt emailed to me and it’s not in my spam folder. Just something to add to how awesome the app really is! I haven’t had a problem and I have been using it for over a year now!

Alliance, Ohio. Outstanding in cleanliness! Cashiers are very courteous and polite. I never feel rushed. Great produce, deli and bakery! I have used the catering services often and have NREVER been disappointed. Great floral department as well. I had a special function 2 yrs. ago that I ordered several DOZEN bouquets of flowers for. My expectations were exceeded! Store manager is visible on the floor working! Great teamwork makes a great store!

Good App But Definitely Needs Work. Connection issues a lot recently and App doesn’t keep you signed in all the time. I want to be able to just log in one time and it be saved in there and open up correctly every time afterwards. Nice to have the GetGo App in with the Giant Eagle App now too, but need to have the available Fuel Perks items available for to be seen as it used to be on older App. Please bring that feature back ASAP!!!

Not good. Last week I tried to clip ecoupons in the store - no WiFi connection. Tried at home and although I’ve been using ecoupons for several months, today the app has lost my card number and won’t scan and won’t take my info. What a waste of my time!!!

Great when it works. The gift cards feature is great on this, when it works. You can earn fuel perks for purchases without stopping in the store. The only drawback is about half of the times I try to purchase gift cards, I receive an error that the system can’t process my purchase. I understand there’s probably some fraud protection in action, or something to that effect.

Frustrating!. The app is more designed for the consumer to keep track of their fuel/food perks and make a list. It’s not user friendly for curbside orders. Some suggestions: 1. When the app is open - I can instantly select “place curbside order” and it actually remembers who I am. Right now even after I select “remember me” it never does! I also have to “find my store”. 2. If I start my order and have to close out of the app please have it remember where I left off! Just this morning I was playing my order and had to close out. Only to come back and find it is gone. Although - now that Aldi will be coming very soon right next door to the incredibly busy and expensive Donaldson’s Crossroads location I won’t have to concern myself with giant eagle curbside anymore 🤔

Worst app on my phone currently. It worked right once and hasn’t since, lol. I sent messages through the help tab twice and have heard nothing back. No matter what I do or try the items stay stuck in my bag and I can’t complete my order…… won’t take my payment and won’t complete. When I go to complete checkout it’ll show me locations for pickup in Pennsylvania when I’m in Ohio and I selected a local getgo from the start…… then it starts all over again and my items don’t clear the que/bag

Cannot search for stuff when in store or to make a list. When i am in Lowes or Home Depot i can search for items and be directed exactly where it is on a shelf in an isle. I need such a feature and more so to be able to build a list of things i need and the app takes me on the quickest route in my store to get these. The app is better than it use to be.

Gift Card Purchases are horrible. It’s great to be able to buy e gift cards using the app to rack up fuel perks. Unfortunately the experience is terrible to say the least. It fails more often than it succeeds. You removed the PayPal option too which was great when it worked. I tried to add a CC when buying a $100 card and it failed again and again without an explanation. Really would be great to improve this process and bring back PayPal as an option.

Okay but..... Liked the older one better. That one let you view your past purchases and mark any of those items to buy again. The customer service screen on the new app only displays a blank screen. They’ll hopefully fix that soon? Claim to add 450 perk points to your Giant Eagle account upon installing the new app but I haven’t seen it yet. Maybe it takes a day or two to appear in my points balance? Good try but this app falls short in a few areas.

GetGo ordering is terrible.. The “Giant Eagle” portion of this app is great. The GetGo part is garbage. You can’t customize sandwiches the way you want. You can’t get anything removed from specialty subs, and you can’t make your own with the specialty options. Some of the options are confusing, as well. Some of the sandwiches say they come blank, and have to pay “extra” for things that should already come on the sandwich. When you’re up to compete with Sheetz, this app just doesn’t cut it.

Very good app, but I have a suggestion.. I really enjoy this app, but I would like to see evidence of when and how many perks I earn when I purchase made to order food, groceries and fuel. Perhaps in some type of running balance. Perhaps by day with a breakdown of different areas.

Needs work. It’s ever so frustrating to open the app and wait the 35 seconds for the logo of the store I’m shopping in to go away and another 30 seconds to open and display my advantage card. Certainly for iOS an app wallet card for the advantage card could (should) be made available. Especially to avoid making my cashier wait or the people also in line. Geolocation would be a great option as well to automatically bring up the wallet app’s advantage card so it’s readily available to shop.

Missing elements. The newest updates make the app easier to navigate; however, it still seems to be missing crucial elements offered by competitors. I would really like to be able to create my grocery list and shop the Curbside Express feature via the app. The “order” button merely connects you to the Curbside Express portion of their website which always seems to be incredibly slow.

App is ok. It is a bit bulky in its development and hard to navigate. My biggest complaint is that there is no barcode scanner to check the price on an item. The coupon clipping area is ridiculous and virtually useless to me. It is so difficult to use. And suggested coupons for me are diapers and baby food. My kids are 21 and 15. I’m currently not in the market for either of those items.

Horrible app horrible customer service. The app is actual trash. It takes forever to load and now 2 out of 3 times we tried to pay through the app it didn’t work. We didn’t realize it didn’t work until we went to get out food and they told us we have to pay. It took me 20 minutes to order food because the app didn’t want to load the next screen. Will never use the app again. The people at the store weren’t the nicest either. I’ll stick with Sheetz at this point. Horrible app and horrible customer service!

Painfully slow. The getgo food ordering part of this app is painfully slow. The app seems to never save my login and my saved info through all of my browsers and phone never shows up so I have to always look up or reset my password just to get in. My paypal info is never saved even though my preference through PayPal is to keep me logged in. Again no saved info. And I’ve been looking for my giant eagle card on the app and it’s either hidden or no longer there. Not at all convenient.

Buggy. You can start an order, but when you go to check out it doesn’t work. It freezes. It crashes. You reload and it acts like you have to re order but then your items from the original order are still in the cart. There isn’t a way to go to that first cart that the order didn’t complete. Then it freezes again never letting you place the order. Attempted on multiple devices.

Awful app. Excruciatingly painful to use this app. Impossible to quickly order food, have to tap through 20 times to order. And why do you still have to use an in-app browser to buy gift cards? I have to sign in twice? Not to mention being charged for a failed transaction. GE has my money but I don’t have my gift card. No reason other than the app is useless. For how much money GE makes and how prevalent they are in western PA+ you need better tech infrastructure.

Still Need An Actual Advantage Card (boo). This app is useless. I downloaded this app to get rid of my physical advantage card that was taking up valuable space in my wallet. Turns out the app does not store your advantage card? Or trigger promotions? How was this overlooked in development? What is the point is of the app? Also why are there like 3 different giant eagle apps? Does another one have an advantage card feature? Maybe you should scrap all of them for one that has an advantage card, let’s you save shopping lists, place orders for curbside pick up, and throw in some promos? Where the UX?

App has flaws. The app freezes from time to time and will not load properly. I was attempting to bring up my Giant Eagle Advantage Card during a shopping trip at Giant Eagle. The app would not bring it up and it froze so I couldn’t shut it down and attempt it again. I had to power down my phone to shut down the app. I was not happy about that.

Please allow Advantage Card to be added to Apple Wallet. It would really help if I could add my Advantage card to my Apple Wallet app so I can use that to scan my barcode instead of having to use the physical card. It would also be one less item I have to carry in my wallet. Currently when I try to scan the barcode via the app, the scanners have a hard time scanning it. If the barcode were larger and part of the Apple Wallet, it would really be beneficial.

Where is the recent purchases items now located?. It is very easy to find recent purchases on the Walmart App that gives a detailed description of the items purchased. I was able to at least poke around this app and find a rough list of what was purchased, now I do not see this feature anywhere. If it is on here, it is not easy to find.

Literally Zero Stars. I would give this ZERO stars if I could. I have switched to using Instacart, which Giant Eagle could invest in rather than this crappy app. Seriously, you have to log into the app, then you go to shop, and you have to log into the website, and then there is a separate website to log into for CurbSide Express???!!! And every time I try to log in, I get an error. I have seriously never had luck with any of Giant Eagle’s internet technology, and I was hopeful that this app update was going to be the fix, but NOPE. That’s cool. I’ll shop at Heinen’s and Aldi from my pjs on my couch and let it come to me. THANKS ANYWAY.

Rotate to Scan Card. I really only use this app to scan my advantage pay card at the pump, and soon after downloading the app, it no longer let me rotate my phone to landscape on the wallet page to scan my card. I literally had to screenshot my advantage pay card barcode, zoom in, crop it, and scan it that way. Kind of a silly bug and I’m genuinely surprised it’s still there, as it really shouldn’t be that difficult to fix. Perhaps I’ll update this review if I notice this issue is resolved!

This App is a Joke. Good luck purchasing E- Gift cards!!. Using this app is a complete joke. You go onto the app, purchase an E gift card, and it never shows up in your wallet and never appears in your email for sometimes an hour or even longer. Standing in the store waiting to make a purchase in the money immediately drawn from my bank account. I’m calling a major file on Giant Eagle with this one. This needs corrected or they’re gonna lose a ton of customers and I’m gonna report this to the e-commerce commission

Frustrating. This app is far inferior to the last one. Difficult navigation and impossible to find a image of the current ad. Who wants to go through the category list to find this weeks sale items? Seems the only concern was to facilitate curb side shopping and not a store shopper. Almost as insulting as them banning providing bags to save money and an effort to appear eco friendly to attract yuppie online only shoppers. If no bags then you better bring prices down to Aldi and Walmart prices.

Used to be great but…. This app used to be great. I could buy gift cards, and whenever I needed to use them, they were right there in my wallet. The ones that get sent via email don’t have barcodes, making them a pain to use in the store. The past few iterations of updates I get an error when I try to view my gift cards. I would also like to be able to see when/how many of my perks expire so I’m able to track it better.

Logs out constantly and does not store UN and PW. Almost every time I try to use the app I have to log in. I have my info saved in the Safari browser, and most apps will take this data and use it to allow sign in. Lack of this, or Face ID causes me to either not use the card or I spend five minutes cycling through potential options for a UN and PW at the dismay of customers behind me. Adding the ability to have the app use the wallet would be helpful as well.

Needs Apple Wallet Compatability. Most apps from companies that have a rewards card design the app so you can add the rewards card to Apple Wallet for easy access at the checkout. The Giant Eagle app needs to have the option to add the Advantage Card to Apple Wallet. Many people I know already have Apple Wallet open at the checkout in Giant Eagle stores to use their Apple Pay. It seems to make good sense to have your Advantage Card available in the same place that consumers are already used to. Thank you

Half-Baked App. When customizing an item like a burger, the description explains what can be customized (including the bun). However when trying to customize, there is no option (for the burger) to change the bun like there is for the chicken sandwich. It seems like the app was designed with good intention but with little to no quality control. Like don’t say I can customize something but then not let me customize it. Also, some photos don’t match the description…

Removed store ad circular from the app. don’t understand the point of this app if I can’t easily see what’s on sale this week, add the poor in-store customer service on top of that for a really bad customer experience overall. I find myself shopping at Kroger now, they offer an app that not only shows you every item available in store but which aisle to find it in. Really disappointed in Giant Eagle for removing the only reason to use their app by getting rid of the circulars... I know it’s super easy to sell groceries in a pandemic but this is pathetic!

E coupons. I don’t like having to put ecoupons in every week. Having to match coupon up to items. Had to go to customer assistance to get refunds for wrong items or not getting enough of an item for the sale price. Why can’t it be just pick up the items on sale and it rings up the sale price. I know people who said it takes to much time and go to Walmart.

Not bad, not bad at all.... I like this app, but just realized another reason I like it: when you search for locations, the ACTUAL, CORRECT holiday hours are listed for each location. This is very helpful! I would give 5 stars but the user interface could be a little cleaner and aesthetically pleasing, but still a good app in my opinion.

Need support for Apple wallet!. This app makes it very difficult to scan advantage card at checkout. Having to scramble to open app and wait a minute or two to load everything, and then have to click advantage card to scan is very cumbersome. The convenience of having the advantage card stored in Apple wallet and having it ready at the lock screen would be convenient and faster to initiate while checking out.

Used to be good.... One of my favorite features of this app was the gift cards and how they automatically load it into your wallet and it only took less than a minute buy one and have it put in my wallet. Lately it won’t remember my address, my card data, and it’s not putting the gift card in my wallet. In addition it’s taking as long as 30 minutes for the gift card to be generated to my email account. A good app turned into a piece of junk! Sad!

No Apple Wallet Support?. Am I missing something or is there no way to add my advantage card to Apple wallet? I don’t carry the physical card and the app takes too long to open and navigate when in line. I already have Apple Wallet open to pay for groceries, so I’d love to see my barcode there for my advantage card. My current solution is a photo of my card that I pull up... Is this a feature in development? Thanks

List for items and coupon. Easy to use but I would like to make a list adding coupon for me to use at the store. Unless I’m missing a area on app to make a list. I’d save time so I don’t have to go through coupons with each item I purchase. ESP. When their is a free item I don’t remember and have to scroll. Ty

Terrible.. This app is barely functional. When you click on things it asks you multiple times to login and then jumps over to safari. If you want to utilize Giant Eagle’s curbside service using this app, don’t. It will be a serious waste of your time. I added around 30 items to my cart and the page just closed out. My list was deleted, every store website I’ve ever used saves your shopping cart items if the checkout is interrupted. Hopefully they make some updates and make it easier to do build the online shopping list.

Needs iOS Wallet integration. This app seriously needs iOS Wallet integration. Imagine the scenario, I double-tap my phone’s power button to bring up my Wallet and there’s my Giant Eagle Advantage Card all ready to be used without needing to open the app. It can even show a notification as I come close to a Giant Eagle how many fuel perks I have. Make this possible and I’ll give this app five stars.

Missing some basic functions. I should be able to keyword search coupons and sale items. For example, I may just want to see what is ‘organic.’ Filtering is pain since there are so many categories and they aren’t listed alphabetically, and often times I don’t know what category something might fall under and some categories overlap. I also want to see the original price listed with the sale price, so that I know whether or not it’s actually a good deal.

More apps!!??. For what reason do I need to have a second app just so I can see the weekly ad?! That is absolutely absurd more useless junk on my phone. It also seems like I still need to keep this app to have my digital advantage card to scan at self check out and another app to see the freaking ad! Maybe I can get it on the grocery app but I am not even going to attempt to waste my time trying to find it. This is absurd and ridiculous. Add the weekly ad to this app!!!!

Annoying App. I hate this new app every time I click onto it it says this app is no longer available then I go through everything including the download and password again and next time I click onto the app I get the same thing over and over this app is no longer available and it’s so annoying and frustrating over and over again. I don’t know why these business don’t just leave things alone the old app worked just fine

How can I search for products on the app?. I could not find a search to find what I was looking for after looking for a while and I finally just gave up using the app. Also, app kept trying to force me to use curbside stores which mine is not and I’m not going to the store suggested. It kept asking for my location which would pop up curbside stores so I could not get help to find local store

Like it. I like this app but I wish GetGo would update the GetGo wash where it tells me where I can go for free vacuums it would help a lot to know if there are free vacuums available. Also I wish it was like other apps that offered free rewards after you purchase certain items I would definitely go to GetGo more often if it offered free rewards it’s so nice to have that. Other than that I like the GetGo app

Horrible. App is constantly crashing I have to regularly delete and reinstall the app Reply to your response: it won’t let me directly email you I’m using iPhone 13 and it does it everytime I go to order I’ll have everything ready to go then when I get to check out it will either send me back to the nearest locations and start me over or it will say at checkout my payment is invalid once I delete and reinstall it works fine

This app is useless. So when I open the older version of this app I get the notification that I need to download the most recent version. After downloading it and logging in, I go to set my default store so I can view the weekly ad but every time I try to find my store the app crashes. It’s done it 10 times in a row. What good is this app if I can’t even get to my default store to view the weekly ad? Giant Eagle generates enough revenue to afford to develop an app that works and is user friendly for its customers. Get with the program GE!

Still Doesn’t Offer Apple Wallet Support. To me, the most useful part of this app is the have the card become easily accessible. If Apple Wallet support we’re added, based on your location, your Giant Eagle cars could show up right on your lock screen, which would be very convenient. It would be far better than having to login to the app every time to get my card up, or dig through my actual wallet for the physical card. Please add this simple, useful feature!

What the heck!. Not only did they switch the app to one I don’t want, but they erased all of my account information. Giant Eagle does this with each update but switching my existing app is the straw that broke this camel’s back. I will be taking my business elsewhere. That includes the pharmacy. I can’t believe the audacity of some companies. The developer reached out to me and told me that the Giant Eagle app is available in the App Store. I friggen had the app. The developers replaced it without my consent and he never said he was sorry for my inconvenience. Don’t download any app from this business.
