Botim Recent Update. After the recent update of botim, there are in phone ads while video calling. Before this update it wasn’t there. This is very unprofessional and disturbs my video calling. There is not even a way to close those small ads which appear while video calling. Night Unprofessional by Team Botim!!! Also, at least update on basics, give notifications if we miss a call or something. Is this even a calling app seriously????

Not cool. This application is not well thought of. I cannot get rid of ads despite the facts that I bought rights for it. No settings feature to upgrade to premium without ads. If you are on a BOTIM call and you get a regular call, your BOTIM call gets cut off. Sometimes you dial a video call, the other party answers and you can see them but the BOTIM continues to ring. If you press the notification of a call from the home screen, it takes you to the app but the call gets cut off every time .

Crappy App. Looks like Eisalat got itself a good deal with the app developer, whom I couldn’t find anything about her other than having this useless app. So, Etisalat / Du monopolize the calling from the UAE and we have to subscribe to this obligatory 4G calling plan for 50 Dirhams / month, and funny enough, this App doesn’t work. You get disconnected every 50 plus seconds, and calling other parties becomes frustrating. The app developer is an amateur one, no contact details nothing, just an email and they don’t have the courtesy to reply back to many of the trouble tickets I submitted. To make it short: 1- The app doesn’t work on 4G or WiFi 2- Etisalat unfairly is charging 50 dirhams / month (plus taxes) 3- The developer doesn’t respond and doesn’t honor any sense of support or technical assistance - Etisalat / Du monopolizing the connectivity in the UAE, they have the upper hand in blocking or unblocking what people can use To make it short, USELESS APP, DOESN’T EVEN WORTH A ONE STAR

How to connect with BOTIM over seas. Hi, my number is from usa and currently visiting Riyadh . I Lost my connection to BOTIM yesterday, prior to that it was working. So thought of downloading the app again. It has ask me to verify with 4 digit pin but my pin is not showing in messages. Am I looking at the wrong spot. How do I sign in again? Do I have to be back in states to get connected . Need a update !

Update app please. I will give an average rating because I’m still not able to use the app. The app isn’t able to access my contacts and when I go into settings it does not even show the permissions for contacts. It only shows permissions for Sir, Notifications, and Background App Refresh. Please update the app so it is compatible with the latest update for Apple and iPhone 7 Plus. Thank You

Works but too much spam!. This is not a great design but it IS good enough and voice call quality is better than typical cellular calls. It works in the UAE which is its best feature. Unfortunately, the app keeps repeatedly asking to message all your contacts to invite them to download the app. The app also has continuous pop up adverts. The adverts are so frequent that it really spoils the user experience. I will never ever click on a pop-up advert. I would happily pay $2, if such an option existed, to be able to have an ad-free experience. ...

I just thought Hangout was bad, wait till you try this. The only reason this app probably popped up on your feed is because you are currently in desperate need to talk to someone staying in the UAE. Ads are ridiculous even though it’s a paid app in the UAE, voice and video quality are terrible, and to top it all of, it doesn’t allow multiple users to be on the same line, like on Skype. If Skype/FT were to change its regulations and continue functioning in the UAE, then this app should honestly not be present in the market. Very poorly designed

Dubai spy app. Why there is no 0 stars, because for apps like this there should be that option. Unknown company made by Dubai government to spy on people because Skype and others are not legit in UAE hahahahaha , but this diamond - is for some reason. WhatsApp , Viber and Skype are not tolerating sharing info with third party but this fake app is doing so with government , this is info from Etisalat and Du. People should better buy VPN than use this monstrosity. Subscription needed and still million of ads. You guys are really something special.

Been using for a while, not bad but layout and battery issues.. Been using it for the past 5-7 months to talk to my family in the UAE, the app is good since there is no other option but the layout needs more work, to make it more smooth. Another issue that only happens when using BOTIM is how my phone overheats, it gets so hot as if i’m running a huge app or game, the battery gets drained really fast and if the phone is on the charger it won’t charge because of the overheating that is happening.

Voice call issue. Since the latest update the voice calls are very noisy and there’s noises in the background you can’t hear anything every second it get disconnected. My connection is stable yet it says it is unstable I’m using 4g and paying for it. To be completely honest I have been using your app since it launched. And it is not worth the money. Every version you release there are always the same issues. You fixed the issue where it used to take alot of data for voice calls and I hope you fix this issue in the future and lower the subscription price because it is not delivering a 100% value.

problem on IOS. Hi there, unfortunately in my country (Iran)sending voice during chat via Botim is impossible , I wanna ask related technicians team solve the problem as soon as possible. It wasn’t like this before with previous update, but with new update we can just only write to chat. thank you so much . Disappointed. Shame on you Etisalat and Du. Really Horrible . After blocking all VOIP softwares Etisalat took the cheapest and worst application and introduced with their Internet calling plan. Hard to install on PC, full of ads , hard to use or understand .. really cheep product. I don’t understand why they didn’t pick or allow the other decent apps we are paying you anyway , as we have no choice. If you want to rip people and resell a free product then at least pick something good. Am not going to talk about the C’Me thing u can’t even call it an app.

Focus on Call Quality. BOTIM started with a VOIP service. And rather than focusing on building an outstanding call and video call experience they are more interested in providing discount services for foods and revenue from Ads. Wake up guys...if what’s app call or FaceTime opens up in the region no one will use ur service. Calls drop all the time. Quality of call is weak. Many technical issues. Focus on improving call quality rather than being a jack of all trades. For food discounts Entertainer is a way better option.

Waste of money if you live in UAE but forced to get it. This app honestly is straight garbage and a million percent monitored. An app that is completely FREE is charged monthly in a tourist country only. I have lived here 7 years and the app is terrible. Does it work? 100% yes. When I'm in USA using it on any network is crystal clear. When in UAE on "the fastest network in the universe " (by no means is that the truth) every conversation is pixelated and I pay for the VIP better version. My using looks like cartoon characters from the 90s during the call.

Bogus company I think. I subscribed for an annual VIP plan. Yet they didn’t remove the adds. I’ve been chasing them by sending emails everyday but there is no response. Not even once other than an automated email my query has been submitted. I’m going to file a complaint with App Store on how such bogus companies can exist in AppStore and swindle money for a service yet they don’t even respond? If you are okay with adds, I believe the Audio calls are okay but video calls are crap. Just look elsewhere.

Worst app - don’t use it. I have to make long conference calls with multiple people on different time zones from Dubai. Not only it doesn’t allow for conference calls, also not desktop friendly and not reliable with continues connection. You keep hearing yourself talking and other people on the other side hate to be pushed to download something that is not of proper use!! Lastly they have the worst customer service! This app will keep you desperate from day1! Not recommended!!!

Poor service and non functional app.. I subscribed to the Internet calling plan on wifi 3 weeks back. I’m in the UAE where VOIP calls have been banned and people are now compelled to subscribe and pay for BOTIM to make video calls. Initially it worked well. I use to call family and friends in the US and UK. For the past 4-5 Days, calls are unable to go through in-spite of repeated attempts. I called Etisalat and they are useless as well. What are we paying so much of money for? Or is this another scheme to loot people? This is a worthless app. I feel helpless now and don’t know how else to see my loved ones. Shame on you for swindling people of their hard earned money.

Excellent quality. Better than mobile calls. The application had an excellent quality that far exceeds Internationat calling from your own mobile. Very important that you need a data plan on your phone no that you are using the app from.

UAE service TERRIBLE rip off. I subscribed via UAE cell service provider because had no other choice of communicating w family in other countries. My parents couldn’t get BOTIM to install on their iPad and they don’t have phones w apps. They are old. So haven’t been able to see/talk w them. Also got it so our housemaid could see he kids back in Philippines. But her Samsung phone isn’t supported. The app performance with people who DO get it installed is poor and not always functional. It’s frustrating uae forces usage of this poor technology. When other free much better performing and platform generic technologies exist.

Useless app in UAE!. What a horrible service! I use many VOIP apps to call Europe but for Dubai nothing else works but Botim! The Dubai phone has to purchase botim service from etisalat and has to be connected to 4G. It will not work with wifi! Even when I call my friends or business partners who have subscribed to botim service, it never works properly. It gets disconnected often, especially if they are on the road. And the quality of service is horrible in the UAE. To be fair, if you use botim outside of uae, it works fine, but calls into uae or calls from uae are just not worth the effort and certainly not worth the 50 dirhams they charge phones monthly!!!

Excellent. Great app for those who do not have xtra funds to pay for xtras-quality off video depends on weather-obviously. Overall it is worth having for a good connection to other countries. I had never heard off it prior to a few months ago-my partner likes as do I

5-Star Review. I have been using BOTIM for several years. Call quality is superior to WhatsApp (works intermittently and crashes multiple times a day in California). It is superior to Messenger (Meta), Viber, Line, and Skype and on par with Telegram and Signal for me. Your results may vary.

Very bad. Please fix your video call apps. “All of them” Tired of reporting problems plus they answer me to contact Etisalat to fix the problems. If Etisalat can’t live up to the name they are trying to make and block us from all the video app that are free at least fix this cheap apps you let us use All of them are bad, so cheap and very poor quality to use comparing for the price we pay. THE APP ALWAYS DISCONNECT AND TAKE AT LEAST 3 TIMES JUST TO CONNECT AND ONCE IT CONNECTS IT TAKE 20-30 seconds just so i can hear them. CALL BACK WITH A VERY BAD QUALITY IMAGE. .... keeping my old review and my rating the same because this app is very very bad and i won’t recommended to anyone to use it .. but unfortunately its the only one i can use here plus the other crappy app as well “hi U” Cheap design and cheap quality of apps And still wonder how is app got 4.4 rating

Some bugs that I encountered. Last seen is not reliable…it simply updates the last seen when someone hangs up a call if the receiver does not answer. Sometimes messages do not get delivered. Notifications also not reliable…they ring again after opening the app. When I get a call on Botim, even though I amswer it still keeps ringing. Also please add a feature to switch from an Audio call to Video call.

This new version it’s crazy. I so much love this app but Ever since I updated my BOTIM on my iPhone it’s not opening again once I try to open the app it open and close back automatically.. it’s so annoying

Improve. Everyday I keep having connection issues even though I have high speed internet with no connection issues and the caller also has very stable internet and we do video calls with other apps without any drop but this app can’t even handle basic audio. We upgraded phones thinking that might be the problem, but there was no improvement. This is really horrific when you consider we pay 100AED/month on subscription alone. And the ads every time you open the app is abusive after paying subscription.

Problem. Love this app! It has helped me talk to my parents in the UAE with ease. However either her or I get a strange feedback glitch where it repeats what I say back to my until it just becomes painful static. This happens both when I use speaker mode and regular, and happens just about every call now. I don’t know if this is just an issue with my phone or hers, but if you all could look into it that would be great! Again I am so thankful that this app exists and would give it 6 stars if I could!

Need update. The App Need bug fixes update and performance improvements When I received a call the phone keeps ringing 2 different tones and if I don’t answer or reject the call the phone will keep ringing forever ( not going to stop forever)

Terrible app. I am in the US and I use this app to talk to my mother at lunch breaks. Even after I run home to call just for half hour at least this should work! My parents paid AED150 for the first month and it was fine. They were then told to pay AED 50 and then AED 100 for the second month. Both of us should expect better. Calls run short after 4 minutes and 39 seconds. They pay AED4 for 30 mins every day on top of the AED 50. Please let me know what I can do on my end to fix this. I have updated the app on my iPhone as well.

Forced to pay for adds. Like so many other reviews my biggest issue is that I have no other option. The quality of the calls are horrible, and the constant ads are annoying. We are forced to pay for the service and then have to wade through a ton of adds to make a simple call. Really shame on the developer for not making a better quality product and shame on the internet providers for not monitoring the services they are forcing us to pay for.

Can’t open applications. Before I used this app and one day I can’t send voice message and photo messages. It works only for text messaging. That’s why I deleted and reinstalled again. But when I open the account and I use my mobile number it doesn’t work properly. It is showing that operating is fail . I can’t open account. I don’t know what happened. Please, can someone explain and help me regarding this issue?

Crappy rip off app!. My fiancé lives in Dubai and he has to pay 50 Dirhams monthly from Etisalat for this crappy app so we can have a “decent” way of video communication. Unfortunately, the call drops every after few minutes and we have to touch our screens every few seconds, otherwise our screen turns black and the camera will freeze! It’s not even HD quality as what they claim! This is a total rip off! So disappointing for a monthly paid service!

Good voice app but need to improvements. 1 - fix that bugs when you cancel voice call . 2- I can't delete the app and reinstall it because I need all chats that saved in app so , add iCloud drive feature in your app in the next update to let us make backup our data and chats . 3- improve the notifications of apps and remove number banner that shown out app because a new advertisment.

Pay to see adverts. This app is why monopolies should not exist. Here in the UAE we can only use this app to call our family from this expat community. So we pay to use BOTIM. Fine. But why oh why do you show adverts all the time? So to not see the notifications (thinking I’ve received a message/missed call) from the adverts I had to turn that off. Now I don’t get notifications when someone calls. Du/Etisalat, how about you just let us pay you the same amount and you let us use Skype? Thank you for taking my money to use something that is free for the rest of the world.

Suggestions to improve BOTIM. Are you really serious! Pay to remove ads? In a country where we pay to use the app already? This is plain ridiculous but in the uae you don’t have a choice if you want to use VoIP this is the only option. What I don’t understand is why we have to pay to use and pay to remove the obnoxiously irritating ads!!!!!! Very excited that this is one of only two VOIP apps we can use here. Pls let the default page be the contact list or last called or messaged and NOT the ad page- it is very off putting. The app doesn’t notify you with a ring when someone calls if the phone is locked regardless of your notification settings so we miss calls- Sometimes when you open the app after a missed call the ring tone is activated even if the missed call happened hours before. The above are quite frustrating so appreciate you looking into them.

Fix your app please. Seems like every day there’s a different bug or glitch, one will go away and the next day another one shows up. I’m trying to text and some messages aren’t sending and some are and I have to re send them in a different order and then it makes no sense, I’m tired of repeating myself and sometimes the app after using it for longer then 5 minutes the text gets all buggy and when I’m type it gets super slow. This isn’t my phone Bc my iPhone 8 Plus runs perfectly fine. Fix it

Terrible User Interface. One of the worst video chatting apps I ever used. First interface is extremely clunk and most of the times the call gets disconnected. The thing that frustrates me the is that the screen automatically dims after a minute or so. Shouldn’t the app be smart enough to figure out that since I am using the camera and a video application screen brightness should be the same until I close the app. This is such a basic feature to consider that I believe the worsts UX designers on the planet banded together to build this app.

App for iPad. I’m really happy using the BOTIM app and will continue using it. However, I will be really pleased if you would launch an iPad version for this app. As of now I’m currently using the iPhone version on my iPad and not really happy. There are dark thick borders on each side of the screen as it’s alignment is more of an iPhone. Sum it up - Launch an iPad version of BOTIM

Wasted effort. This is a terrible app. It’s so bad that it is unrateable. Please don’t bother with trying to get higher ratings as you are not even close to Whatsapp and Skype in their functionality and quality. I have been trying since yesterday to call my parents in India, but the app wont connect any call, be it audio or video. I have paid and subscribed to this horrible service, but nothing is worthwhile. There is no proper support, no developer details, etc to get before downloading the app. How is one supposed to decide? This is just another money making racket. Shame on you guys to swindle people of their hard earned money. Frustrated user

Not working in ios 13. When I updated the app yesterday it was working for minutes then not opening again , oh I tired to reinstall and install again but it’s not working .. i hope you fix it ASAP.

Message sending problem. Im using BOT for 3 years now and its a perfect app for me. When i updated my iphone to 13.0 my only problem now is when i send messages, i need to ring the recipient to be able to received my messages coz there is no notification on his/her side or unless he/she open BOT app so they can received all my messages. From my side it shows only one check from my message box but i am connected through data even wifi. Is there any prob on the app or from my phone? Please help. Thank you and more power!😊

Worst Bug Ridden Ad Spamming App Ever!. If I could give a rate of zero stars, I’d give that. This app has not been working since the last update! I’ve subscribed for the internet calling plan (both data and home plan) from DU and etisalat, and since the last update, all the calls goes from ringing to “connecting”. Both the customer care at etisalat and du shad zero clue on how to help out or resolve this issue. And yes I’ve tried reinstalling, re-registering, and updating. None of it works! As it is, the app is buggy and is bombarded with ads and offers, and to top it, the app doesn’t work anymore! Saddest bit, I pay AED150 every month for this crap of a service! Horrible is an understatement for this app and it’s so called service!

Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Information & Hidden Charges. I accidentally activated the BOTIM virtual credit card and immediately tried to close it. The app demanded a 25 AED fee just to deactivate it. When I contacted customer service, the agent clearly assured me there were no charges involved. Despite that, the app still insists on payment to close the card. This is misleading, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. I trusted the support team’s word, but BOTIM failed to honor it. Deeply disappointed with this experience.

Update problem on July, 2020 version. I just updated the app. Now each time I open the application, it pauses for 20 seconds and resumes after! Please check for a solution. When I receive a call, application doesn’t connect. I have to open it and wait for 30 sec until connects then ring the other party. The application is not performing well at all lately. Especially in receiving calls. Thanks

This app has so many flaws and needs so much work!. There are so many flaws with this app. First, when you video call someone, sometime the speaker option works which is a what one would normally expect, but most of the time it does not and it’s frustrating cause you have to call the person a few times for video and speaker to work simultaneously. Sometimes the audio doesn’t work at all. Then, if you open another window on your phone and try to get back to your video call, the video part won’t open up again. For a paid app, the service is really bad and the engineers should fix the simple kinks to make this work seamlessly.

Worst app I’ve ever used. Horrible software. Can’t believe I have to pay for this. Not only is this app a slap in the face to every expat who has family outside Dubai, which is everyone, but it also never connects or loads the first time around. It’s littered with ads even though you HAVE to pay for it otherwise you cannot call people outside Dubai for free like everyone does anywhere else in the world. And if you don’t want ads, you have to pay more. It also doesn’t connect. I’m constantly playing a game with the person on the other end of the line. SHAMEFUL AND AWFUL.

Worst VOIP app in existence. This app is surprisingly poorly designed and i’ll explain why. 1. Poor battery optimization. We use this app with airplay on our tv and you can literally watch the battery drain in minutes. 2. Overheating On numerous occasions, the phone while air playing like mentioned above, has turned off with the ‘temperature too high’ message. The phone switched off TO SAVE ITSELF! 3. Audio issues. The app which is primarily a communication app does not know how to handle noise cancelation. If a person talks, it automatically mutes the other side. Which means if there’s a noise on my side, the person I’m speaking with is COMPLETELY MUTED. How can you carry on a conversation? 4. Doesn’t work with any of the apple features well. As mentioned above in the noise cancelation, AirPlay. Furthermore, audio is still stuck on the phone when air playing. This is possibly the only app on the planet that does things this badly. This is going nowhere and needs to be fixed! Also, the apps developer website links to the app. Which means they don’t have a way to get in touch expect for this review. It’s really a closed loop of disasters.

Decent but needs to be updated to work on ios 12 devices. Doesnt work on my Ipad after ios 12 update , app crashes right after opening so it needs to be updated and i will give it five stars after the new update if it makes it work on ios devices

Video and Voice calling enhancements. I have been using BOTIM for a while now, however one of the features that i would really like is a conference calling option in BOTIM.

Stop the Ads. Ads popped out and can’t get rid of it. Had to hang up and call again for the video to work otherwise user looking at the ads. Since in UAE we paid to use this app, why can’t the developer get her share that way so user doesn’t have to see ads. What’s with clicking video button twice. After user click/ touch the video icon to make the video call another window popped up asking for video call or phone call. Why?

I. Not opening the program

Bluetooth incompatibility. Calls do not work on Bluetooth headphones or earphones. They only work on wired connections. Hope you could do something about this. Thanks!

Not able to connect to calls since the last update. Issue since last update. Call cannot be made for more than 2 mins, then audio and video freezes and disconnected

The worst app i have ever see or use.. The calling options stops suddenly without any reason. If the UAE government wouldn’t banned other apps calling option i would never let this app stay in my phone even for 1 day.

Can not support an app that forces contact list access. In the current era of privacy concerns - any app that forces you access contact info on your phone is very poor and suspicious

Absolutely dreadful. I think it’s been done deliberately but this is perhaps the worst app ever to use. It chews thru the battery, only connects 10% of the time, If it does connect you have video without sound or video with delay. charges you yet still bombards your with adverts. Shocking

Can’t call multiple people. Calls only work with single person. Adding multiple people blanks the video and no audio.

Issue while receiving call. Iphone now uses both iphone dialer as well as botim while receiving call when the phone is in lock state. It makes the other user see im busy. Also its mixing both botim and iphone ringtone while receiving call

Screen Turning off (while Video call). When I’m in a video call every time screen goes to sleep mode. I’m always turned on Battery saver . Please fix !

Adverts block ability to access app!. I don’t want to buy a sandwich or a burger package or whatever it is your trying to flog off! Just let me access the app to make a call and skip your ads!!!!

Connectivity issues. Having huge connectivity issues, calls drop constantly. Calls interrupted and auto disconnected by adverts, so the option of watching and closing them isn’t possible. It just ends your call. Used to work well. Monetising shouldn’t compromise the value of your product. Sad.

Terrible app. This is a terrible app. In the age of open communication, this app is used as an alternative to other much better app only to charge for what is now almost universally free and much more secure.

Unable to make group call. Gets connected in group call but can't hear, talk or see. Tried re installing but vain

Primitive app. This is the worst app but am forced to use it. Does not pop up on screen when calls come through. Screen locks when on a call unless tapped frequently. Does not have a desktop version.

Access to my contact list?. Why they hell you are forcing to access to contact list? There is no option to move forward without giving the access to contact list. I’m not giving you the access, idiot.

Not good. Poor quality keeps cutting out

Sound issues. Sometime when receiving calls the microphone/sound does not work at either end. It’s become frustrating- we have to call back a few times before it works.

Not receiving verification code. Am trying to register with my Indian number and however not receiving the verification code SMS (text message). There is no option to get a voice call or other mode of verification?

Literally the worst app on he planet yet we’re forced to use it. If I could give this less than 1 star I would. Horrible UX, primitive UI and the call quality is without a doubt sub par to what is expected in this day and age.

problem solved. i have a sister who works in Dubai where voip apps for videochat or videocalls are not allowed....this app is a saviour...we just had my nephew’s christening and so my sister was on Botim for the whole celebration...

Terrible. Such a weak laggy app. Only reason I use it is because I have to since other applications are blocked in those countries. Genuinely a terrible app.

Conference call. Conference calls are not getting connected always

Not Working. So we get told Skype is blocked, use this App it’s legal! It doesn’t even work not even over WiFi!

Code not received. I dunno what’s the issue with the app but i have been trying to create an account but the doesnt send me a code ? I have tried every possible way to find an issue on my iphone but i still dont receive a code infact its kept on increasing the timeframe to retry after hours n hours.

Substandard at best. In the UAE, this is a paid service and yet consumers have advertising forced on to them.

Broken app. Broken app, it mis picks up my mobile number, adds an additional digit to Australian numbers, so u can’t even register to use the app.

Login issues. I’ve tried to login with my new number not happening, tried to migrate not happening ever since I’ve tried to migrate the account in the previous device also stopped working

Issue with verifying my number. I have been trying to re send code since an hour but botim does not send me any code on my nunber even though the number is correct

Never rings. When receiving calls, the phone will not actually ring unless you actually have the botim app open. This should be fixed as people don’t hear calls. Please please please fix this!!

Too loud dialling tone. When I have my AirPods on and call someone the dialling tone is painfully high even on normal volume. I have to reduce the volume to 30% just to bear the sound. And after the call is received I have to increase it.

Verification issue. I don’t receive verification number to activate In New Zealand Please fix if possible.

Talk about intrusive ads.... This app shoves the ads down your throat... it gives you notifications as a message for an add so you have to open it to remove the notification...

Allow Picture in Picture mode in iOS.. Other than that, from time to time notifications are not always working, calls sometimes won’t connect after answering it. Works good for what we need.

Connection issues on Data. Every since last week’s update there’s been issues of connecting and trying to make calls on data. It says Network Error.

Infested with bugs. I can’t believe I pay for an app that barely functions. It’s just a bundle of bugs that I can’t begin to list them all!

Poor quality. The video quality is very poor even when you have the best WiFi. It’s very annoying compared to apps such as FaceTime or even WhatsApp. Also group calls are very poorly integrated. To add someone into the call the app cuts the call and makes a new call with all the people included. But the worst thing is when the third person leaves the call, it still stays in the group mode instead of reverting to the normal one on one calls. The ads on the app should be removed when talking to family. No one wants to look at ads when they’re talking to their loved ones.

Problem accessing account. My previous phone was damaged so I got a new one and have been trying for the last 2 days to reinstall Botim I have tried everything nothing is working at first took 7 hrs to check my account then for 2 days been trying to get a code via sms and not receiving anything At this point I decided will just delet app and find something else!! There are bugs!. 1. Lots of calls missed and phone does not ring even if app is open. 2. When you answer a call and hit speaker, the phone after 3-4 seconds turn off speaker mode. Same bug noticed on iPhone XS Max iOS 14 and iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 12. Fix the issues please.

Deleting account problem. This app doesn’t allow users to delete their accounts, each time I try It shows fake error!

Lots of glitches and lags. My messages are deleted randomly, old messages are resent again and again causing loads of miscommunication and confusion. When ever i type a message and click enter, the message just disappears. Sometimes it reaches the recipient and sometimes not, but in my records nothing is shows. Please give a proper update because this is causing lot of pain and problems. If you cannot handle this new UI of yours, please give us the old simplified version of botim as that worked well with no such unwanted issues causing unnecessary confusion.

This app is only base to get people data like they file and phone book as you see they not let you to save number or access to chat any number without access your phone book its means all of they game is access your data They can track your voice analysis and use it on they security plus they platform is not end to end encrypted in totally is not safe and if you use it you should not say sensitive stuff abut politic and forbidden stuff in uae BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS APP

Not receiving the verification code. Any problem to use the app in CanadaI, I did not receive the verification code via text, tried multiple times.

Failed to Setup. Failed to verify phone number at the initial phone number setup stage. We get an error message “Operation Failed (0)”. iPhone is up to date, removed and reinstalled the app, and waited a day to retry the verification process, and still no luck.

Stuck at verification. I just changed phones and the verification message will just not come through. It’s been three days trying to do this. I restarted, reinstalled, received verification texts from other apps, but not this one. It won’t come.

Wonderful app. This is beautiful app. I have only tried voice phone call and it works perfectly well on WiFi and cellular network.

Poor service. Despite of paying huge amount for internet calling plan, now been asked to pay for Botim-VIP for ads free, this service should be free with internet calling plan, I was complaining this from the day one, to Etisalat and Botim, but no one address this issue, ads likes spa, massage center comes in the center of the screen...which is really annoying.. Please make ads free app if someone paying you and Etisalat huge amount.

Forceful use of this App UAE. It is not the best as far as the quality or the stability, it is only because the ISP Etisalat is making huge money by forcing people to use this immature App, and by introducing the advertisement even though we have paid to use it! The Messages don’t send…. I am having a problem with chat messages not being sent to my friend. It works intermittently but not always. Please fix this because it is not my network. That coupled with the cancellation of my podcasts whenever I launch the app is a reason to find another app. Please fix this.

Useless. I’ve had this app for 2 months now and out of that it stopped working for the past month! I have tried everything i could to get it fixed through etisalat, which is another issue and on top of that I'm still being charged which is ridiculous. So i have opted to cancel my subscription and delete the app since it’s a waste of money and data

App keeps freezing. Every time I use botim for phone calls and I’m done with the call, the app freezes. I literally have to force close it. I was hoping for an update but nothing yet, for that reason is why I’m giving it 3 star.

Ads. Why do I have to see ads on very call, this is so annoying. If i was not in uae I would never use this app, what’s app is way better as No Ads and unnecessary to press, I would never buy or see a product from any company which gives ads in Botim as they are the most annoying and invasion of privacy. Clean APP but ..... Very easy to setup and use , however the phone (iPhone 7) heats up when on a call more than 15 minutes , can’t hold the phone to my face need to use hands free or turn on the speaker and leave it on the table while on a call this happens for voice and video calls - is there a fix ??

Programmed by Rookies. This aap seems like it has been programmed by rookies. First of all you have to pay to make it work in UAE. Second, it keeps crashing on iPhone 8 and X. Third, notification seems to have disappeared and all incoming calls are missed. Forth, stupid ads that we don’t want, is this a video and messaging app or an ebay? Fifth, why can’t we switch of prime? Needs tons of improvements and deletions is unnecessary stuff. 👎🏼

Frustrating. When I first used it it worked perfectly for one week. Now I can never do a call video or voice. Really frustrating as I thought it’s my internet connection, I just found out the issue is this app isn’t available on computer only mobile and the app Isn’t compatible with Iphone 🙄🤯

Garbage - But our only choice.. This app is terrible but it’s all we are able to use in the UAE. With everything else blocked we a forced to use this app with poor video quality, frequently dropped calls and no landscape mode. If you have a choice use something else. UPDATE: The app response to my complaint was to ask for a bunch of personal information. Going to report me for slander to the UAE government, where bad reviews are illegal?

Money transfer. I totally don’t recommend using the money transfer mini app inside BOTIM, they don’t have time limit for transfer, customer service not responding, it’s just a disappointment that you need to trust them with you bank cards information and money but they are not clear with the service time

Video calls. I am a current user of Botim and I face so many difficulties using audio and specially video calls. Not one call I’ve done where in the audio is breaking and video is another level of breakage. So bad the reception is. The video is hanging, lagging and gets stuck and the video gets disconnected in all calls. It’s pathetic. Please do something to rectify this asap.

Upgrade. The voice call service of this app is excellent. The texting and file sharing options are very limited and outdated. The GUI is also outdated. It needs an overall major update to keep up with the likes of WhatsApp and Telegram.

Why did my friend had to pay 300$ after using it for 2 months !!!. I am angry at you guys . Group call start. I like Botim but I upset we not create now group call. This is very bad news for me. So I humbly request to u please restart group call on Botim.

Operation failed (o). I have been using this app for a long time but I reinstalled it today, whenever I enter my phone number it loads for a bit and an error message pops up that says ”Operation failed (o)”. I tried re-entering the number several times but the same thing happens.

Speakerphone quality turns to CRAP. Before updating today, I was able to speak to my friend from the UAE with crystal clear voice and speaker phone quality. However, after the most recent update, the call whenever it is put on speaker phone, has a lot of interference and static, making it hard to hear the other person. I hope this can be fixed very soon.

Worst VOIP app I’ve ever used. This app is has the poorest most unstable connection ever. Even though I pay a monthly subscription to enable it it still frustrates me every time I use it. Aside from the poor connection, it doesn’t respond correctly to changing speaker options, often times when I launch it it crashes and I have to launch it again and the adds pop ups are ridiculous and sometime inappropriate.

App crashes when switching off read status. When you try to switch off the read status in privacy settings, the app crashes and when you reopen it again the read status is still on. Too much buggy and bad voice quality.

Messages and history disappearing. Never had a problem before until recently. Now, my messages disappear as soon as I open the chat to read them. Also call history is also disappearing.

Rating 4.4 how ???? Its bad. This is one of the app allowed by UAE after subscription still we pay and we don’t get our money back the app is always slow ringing but without connecting sometime calling and connecting at the same time I don’t know how it got rating 4.4 ??!! but what I see from the view is all improvement and bad comments And the ads OMG ( no one is checking the comments?) how this is still working TRA should check them out

Calls not going through from US. Somebody needs to work this glitch asap. Calls from US to Middle East are not going through. The in call mic keeps switching on and off of its own which is cracking the voice. This has got nothing to do with the device as all other messengers - audio and video calling apps are working perfectly fine.

Connecting. I dialed a number and the other person picked up the phone but I’m not able to hear the other person’s voice. It says connecting but no voice. How do I resolve this issue?

Worst app possibly ever. i dont want to use unprintable adjectives associated with this app!!!! its soooo bad and terrible that i dont know what to say. and top of it we have to pay for their service here. its a pain and a challenge to use this and go through a proper call. gives you headache and misery at the end of it. terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! terrible would be an understatement.. makes me super angry for this super crap app. wish i could give a zero star rating

The app doesn’t work. Every time I try to have a voice call or a video call with my parents in the UAE, it doesn’t work. It connects then the video and audio work for a few seconds and then the app hangs. I don’t understand why the app developers have not fixed the issue. My parents are paying a monthly fee of 100 AED (or 30 USD) to the ISP (Etisalat) for the utilization of the “BOTIM” app /service.

New update issue. This Application is perfect, but after I download the last update today i lost all old conversations!!! Is there any solution to resolve this problem?

Group Video Conference Call option unavailable. Group Video Conference Call option unavailable. Horrible app. Continues ringing while you’re talking. Can’t switch from video to voice call or vice versa without hanging up and redialing. Cannot use desktop version if you’re phone is not physically with you. Shows horrible ads mid call. If I could give it zero stars I would.

The worst app I have ever used. I just discovered that this app has a critical privacy breach. It allows calls to be answered in the background while the phone is idle and without the recipient’s awareness!! It happened with me two days ago when my iPhone was charging idle and “do not disturb” feature was on! I heard someone saying “hello! .. hello!” and when I looked at the screen, it was showing a call in progress without even touching the phone. I notified Apple about that and they advised me to contact the developers of this app, which I did and got no response until the moment I started writing this review. Deactivated my account and deleted the app from my phone forever.

Works in UAE. As a bonafide WhatsApp user with family in Dubai, I’ve been disappointed not to have easy access to them for video. BOTIM solves that! TY! Been talking from vacation in Hawaii, setting up a safari in Tanzania, where I hope to have equal access.

Group call issues. Group call is basic features now a days..glad that the feature was introduced but it’s been many months that it’s been in beta. Whenever in a group call, reconnection happens and have to drop the call and reconnect to the same group call

Worst app ever. I work with technology applications all day and this is the worst app I have ever encountered. Subscribed via our home DU internet and it has not worked even once....says connecting but never gets there! Even after doing the troubleshooting suggested by DU support it still does not work. Please allow back free great apps like Skype, FaceTime and WhatsApp so that we can see and talk to our loved ones without all of this frustration and waste of money and time!

Setting is weird and keeps hanging up call. Botimkeeps hanging up call when I press the power button to power off screen (or when it’s hit by accident). No other calling app has this and it’s really inconvenient. Can you please help fix this issue?

Was very good but now .. it’s below zero. I used this app once it launched in UAE since that time I pay every month to this service, since July it stoped working, i contact them one month ago and they reply that they will get back to me shortly but THEY DID NOT, even the service provider have nothing to do. The problem with App and they are ignoring us, apple needs to do something with that.

It works.... For being one of two voip applications allowed in the UAE, this is a poor product. It doesn’t interface well at all with Bluetooth devices like headphones. You can’t turn off the screen while on a call (the call is ended). Looking forward to getting the value from my money (50 AED/month on 4G).

Cant call or video to Syria. I live in Abu Dhabi but I cant reach my parents in Damascus, Syria! Two different ipads they have but nothing works! I call them they dont get my calls, and when they call me i see it ring but when i answer it keeps ‘connecting!’ This is very frustrating bcz i only use botim to call my parents and been unsuccessful for at least a month now!! And before that it was bad quality video anyway!...

BOTIM service. I downloaded the app to communicate with my daughter in Dubai and this app is useless They are charging my daughter for subscribing with them but their phone and text service is not working I am amazed that the USE took the decision to ban the people from using whatsApp, Viber, face book phone calls which are used by nations of third world countries and here we are in an upscale country that banned these services Is it lack of money in Dubai?? What is the reason behind that

Cheesy Ads. If you’re in a country who’s mobile operator wants to milk more money from people then you might find yourself having to install this App. At which point expect to start seeing worthless spam Ads showing up between the list of people you’ve spoken too. So it’s not enough you’re forced to download the App and pay a fee to using it. You’re also going to get spammed.
