Slack for EMM App Reviews

Serious security issues. This app allows you to take files out of your enterprise, and this undermines the very existence of it. You can take pdf documents into another app and from there bring into things like google drive etc.

Bad Notification Exclusion Capability. Until I can mute individual people, the notifications on this app are unusable.

Update needed, but NOT available. App stops working and says “Update to keep using slack” but there is NO UPDATE AVAILABLE!!!!!

I CAN’T EVEN LOGIN. It keeps on going back to “get started” Inconvenience

Bugs. Won’t let me sign in to another workspace. Signs me out of all accounts randomly. Tells me to use slack for EMM when I’m writing and using slack for EMM. I’m just trying to reply to messages while I’m grocery shopping and I can’t :(

No profile sync between desktop and iOS app. If I am able to ad emoji and identify myself and others by my product logo on desktop, why it doesn’t sync with iOS app. iOS app shows file name saved on desktop. Another consistency gap like many across platforms. A feature should be available on all platforms or it should not be offered.

It works but.... It’s almost like the real slack except the UX is not the same. There are weird bugs like no icons are displayed on messages that are published via webhook with a custom icon specified. I believe this was fixed for a short time but broke again. It’s great that Slack offers an EMM version, I just wish it wasn’t a fork of the real app.

More inconvenient. This last update is making the app a little more inconvenient. I can no longer change the file name before I send it. I have to send and them go into edit to change the file name. Time consuming. Then the app now saves pictures taken in app onto your device. I now have to go back into my device to delete pics. Time consuming. As I have lots of docs, this is most troublesome.

Crashing. I can’t open the app without it crashing immediately.

Censorship. The individuals responsible for this app are censoring political speech. To say that this is unacceptable would be an understatement. Why is this still on the App Store?

It could be better. I use this app quite a bit for work but for some reason I’m kicked out of the app and have to delete the app and sign back in each time. This has happened several times within the last few months.

Dark Mode Internal Support. I like having the ability to use dark mode on the app without having my phone in dark mode in iOS 13. Please let me have that back as an override!

App crashes. This is the worst app I’ve tried to use. I received an invite and the link doesn’t work and it will not confirm my email link. Absolute garbage!! App keeps crashing with error message. Junk!!

Can't handle large threads. The Slack app works well for the most part, but crashes hard on large threads, which are an essential function at my employer.

How do I update this app!!!!. How do I update this app!!!! Nothing happens when I press “update the slack app” I’ve tried deleting it and downloading it again but still no change. I’ve been in the App Store it doesn’t offer an update

Can’t Type in Landscape. Dropping a star from my July review because you still can’t type in landscape. I avoid the phone app whenever possible and wait to use a computer. That said, Slack has matured and improved since July.

See all responses?. Even when clicking “view all responses” on a poll...you still cannot view all responses. Looking forward to seeing this fixed in a future update!
