Gospel Living Comments & Reviews 2026

Great but has notification issues. I like the circles portion of this app but I never can get my phone to give me notifications when somebody post something to my circles that I am a part of. I have notifications enabled in the app for both of the circles that I am following, and I have all notifications enabled on my iPhone 8 in the Notification settings. When I open the app then I will get a bad notification that there are new posts and if I close the app before reading them then the badge will stay on the app and appear on my phone.

Circles 😬 Everything else 🤩. I don’t want my review to make this app’s rating go down at all, but I would like to see a bit more flexibility in the Circles tab. I think it’s really cool that it’s already put me in the group chats within my ward, and some other ones like priests quorum, and all of the young men. But there are times when it’s more convenient to just message a couple of people, rather than the entirety of the youth in the ward. Being able to choose one or a few people in a circle at your own expense would be a great addition to the app. This app is really amazing though, there’s a Discover tab that is very fun to explore, with a lot of spiritual things to pull ideas from. I love this Scripture of the day thing going on too, I’ve loved it for the past few days since I’ve gotten this app and will continue to, I have yet to put the calendar to use, but it looks promising and I’m excited to put it to use. The goals and impressions tab is a bit disappointing. The goals are only one-liners, and when you tap them you can view your description of the goal. They’re pretty brief. Impressions are as expected though, they appear similar to a journal entry. Overall I’m very happy with the app so far and am looking forward to seeing it grow with features and users as more people join the church, and more church members get the app. Thanks for all of your work so far! :)

Great start, but needs improvement. This app has great potential, but it’s not reliable yet. It stopped working on my daughter’s iPhone 6. We’re trying to use this in our ward to communicate with the youth, but the younger youth don’t have their own phones, and the app doesn’t give notifications to the parents when things come up in their children’s circles. Parents are too busy to go into their children’s circles and check. The notifications need to be more obvious. It would also be nice if there was one feed that showed everything for the family, so parents don’t have to check all the feeds.

Fantastic App!. I love everything about this app! It’s brilliants and I’m so thankful the church has provided us with the means to set goals, have youth music at our fingertips and be spiritually edified by the content. There are a few issues, but with time some of the small glitches will eventually be worked out. For example, the app runs a little slow and it takes a minute or two for it to catch up to certain actions, specifically in the circles part when searching for people and adding people to circles. It takes a hot minute for the discover page to refresh too. My only request at this point would be a circle added for the youth who are 14+ that can attend dances, FSY, and other other activities. I live in a small ward so we don’t have split young women classes. My girls (I serve as the YW President at this time) 12-18 all meet together because of this. A circle for just the 14+ year olds, for the purpose of communicating certain activities, would be the icing on the cake for me 😁

“Circles” for minors needs better parental controls. I don’t like the “Circles” feature for the youth groups. As a parent, I can see the youth group posts but only if I go looking for them. I have turned on notifications but still don’t receive notifications for those groups (presumably because I am not actually part of that group). The boys and the leaders can comment in that group, but parents cannot. I find this disturbing for many reasons: 1) Our young men groups have no guidelines for posting, so the other boys are posting about topics and activities that I would rather my boys weren’t involved in (specifically, gaming). The boys are using it more as a chat group rather than as a tool to coordinate church activities. 2) Because I don’t receive notifications of posts, I am in the dark about what is going on in the group unless I remember to check, so it’s difficult for me to do damage control. 3) Not giving parents permission to post in the youth circles sends the message that parents don’t have a voice. There is a huge disconnect in the church when it comes to youth programs. The youth leaders are supposed to be supporting the parents, not replacing them. “Circles” is compounding that problem. It is undermining my authority as a parent, allowing youth leaders to go around the parents rather than through the parents to get to the youth.

Great app. This app truly changes lives. Assignments and personal revelation has never been easier. Was going to give it 4 stars for weak tablet displays, (you had to hold it upright or you would only have a 3 by 3 inch screen with 2/3 of the content lopped off) but I got the new update and it now works great in any orientation only problem; the text is now a bit too small compared to the images. That is my only complaint, but it doesn’t really matter much compared to the rest of the amazing things on this app. 😊

So much potential!. I am giving it 5 stars, but I hope someone in development will still read this review and take my plea into consideration. I use this app daily to meet goals and write in my journal. Sometimes it takes forever to even pop up on my phone. The checklists often freeze and don’t register my taps. So I have to go into settings and choose “show completed” and that usually works better. But I prefer for have completed tasks disappear. I thought it was my phone, but I just got a new one and it still struggles. So much. So much so that I want to see if I can access the app from my computer. I also wish there was a way to set a goal for 6 days a week, or 3 days a week, and have them show up on the days I want. Like a goal to exercise. I don’t want it on Sundays, but it has to be, and if I don’t mark it done, it shows my progress is lacking. So instead, my goal is to exercise or meditate 30 minutes a day. Which is fine. But there are other goals I really don’t want to work on every single day. I do have some weekly goals, and that works well. I want to say that as I’ve consistently used this app daily, I have seen so much personal growth and I love it! I don’t know if there’s a way to back up my journal or access it online or export it, but I sure hope there is. It has been a long, long time since I have written in my journal daily, but thanks to this app I am going on 5 months of daily journal entries!

Some changes?. I love the idea of this. I’m just a little disappointed with the goal aspect of it. Here are some things I would do to make it better, in my opinion. - sort the goals into the four categories. I would like to be able to see them sorted into the categories at a glance. - make a completion option. I want to be able to see the goals I’ve completed and have the satisfaction of pushing “completed”. - include a plan making section. Under each goal I would like to have a place to put a plan for that specific goal, and be able to set reminders for each part of the plan.

I’m loving but here are some ideas. I love the app. It’s so much easier to communicate with my quorum. I love the reading and how accessible it is. I also love the inspiration and goals tabs. Here are some ideas though: -The links in are dark blue and with the black background sometimes it’s hard to see what they say. This might because my phone is on dark mode however. -When you click on scriptures it would be awesome if it linked you to the Gospel Library app if you have it rather then the church website because then I can link it to my scripture reading and marking in there. Or maybe pop up in a tab to the side like it does in the gospel library app rather than reroute to another page. -my friends and I were super excited for this app because we wanted to make a group chat to send uplifting and spiritual thoughts. We have one on GroupMe but it would be cool if we could make a circle on the Gospel Living app. I haven’t found a way to do this.

A prayer answered. I love the idea of this app and have been excited to get it when it came out. The moment was now. I’m very happy with the turnout of its content. This past year hasn’t been easy for me. I’ve been needing a little more guidance and the content has answered my prayers. I’ve found that it relates to everyday teenage struggles and give answers to what I’ve been needing to do in order to strengthen myself spiritually and mentally. I love the broad subject on getting to know your family and friends. To strengthen relationships and teach others about the church. Thank you SO much for delivering a light I’ve been needing.

Great Ideas but needs some more flexibility. I was most excited about the circles part of this app. Finally a way to contact my other leaders and my young women without using texting!! However, it would be really great if we could have a little flexibility with the circles and who is in them. My oldest class circle includes my adult 1st counselor, 2nd counselor, and secretary. I’m pretty sure they don’t want to get a notification whenever I send a message to my class and someone responds. It would be nice also to have the ability to create custom circles and choose who you want in them from your ward (or even stake). Being able to send a message to just a couple of girls or only one would be helpful too. Thanks for what you’ve brought us so far. I hope we can see changes like these in the near future.

Love this app, just wish that the goal setting was different. I love this app. I just wish that the goal setting in the app was a little bit different. When you set a goal, you can only write it down as your goal, and under that, write a little bit about that goal. With the new program, goal setting has become very important. So I just wish that it was easier to set goals. Some things that you can’t do that I really wish you were able to do are being able to mark a goal as done. I also wish that you could write down steps you have to accomplish in order to complete this goal. Other than that, I think that this is a great app!

Latest update is great, but still buggy. There is so much potential with the addition of the “goals” tab. I love how it’s set up, and have enjoyed setting my goals, and this app has made it easy to follow through with them. However, it still is buggy. I mark off goals and they come back as unmarked, or I go to edit them and it just goes back to the previous screen. As someone who enjoys the satisfaction of marking things off, it can be a little discouraging when I can’t do that properly. Lastly, making “circles” available on the web would be great for those youth who don’t have phones. As a leader, it’s been difficult for me to really promote that portion of the app because it would exclude those who don’t have their own phones. Otherwise, it’s really becoming an awesome app. Keep it up!

A few key improvements needed. I see the need for it and it serves its overall purpose. However, it definitely has room for improvement. The main issue that I have with this is that you cannot react to a message. So it order to notify someone that you have read their message, you have to respond to the whole group, adding a significant amount of unneeded notifications. That leads me to the next hiccup: messages do not mark as “ read” After you read them. I constantly have unread messages from months ago that I’ve read many a time. This creates confusion as I have no idea what is actually unread and what isn’t. If the developers can address these who issues, I think that the app will be a much more seamless experience. Thanks!

Needs some work but great concept. First of all I think this is a great idea and was very exited for it. But now that it has come out, it is quite laggy and sometimes takes several minutes for messages to transfer. Some of the biggest issues are that no links work on this app and you cannot save any of the pictures shared in the circles to your camera roll. I think it would also be nice to be able to use the circles for smaller chats for things that don’t need to be shared with a whole group.

I really like Circles, but am now having issues. Things were going great. I love the potential of Circles as a ward communication app, especially if I could convince my kids’ youth leaders to start posting their activities on there rather than having to search through various text threads for the details of each of their activities every week. As a Primary President, I’ve been regularly using it to post activities, and have been pushing more in our Ward Council to use it. But now I suddenly seem to be having all sorts of glitch issues. I’ve lost access to a Circle that I should have access to as an administrator, some people have been dropped from their circles and I can’t seem to add them back. I also am not getting push notifications about things in my kids’ circles, though I’m not sure if that’s how that’s supposed to work, since this is the first time one of my kid’s leaders has even posted something in Conversations. It’s happening on both my phone and iPad, and deleting reinstalling the app didn’t help :( Wondering if something in the newest update caused this. QUICK UPDATE (15 minutes after sending first review 😆): I was able to get back into the Circle I was booted from by logging out and signing back in. Still can’t seem to add people back in to a circle that they should be in, including my daughter 🤔

The notifications stopped😐. I love this app and how it lets me connect with my YW group and other youth, as well as the fun activities and spiritual messages I can access. When I first got the app, I got notifications every time anyone posted anything, which I loved because the posts were always helpful and uplifting. However, about a month ago, my phone stopped sending me notifications. Please fix this. Other than that I don’t have any problems. This is a great and uplifting app!

Frustrating Beta app. 1. Gospel living calendar doesn't sync with LDS tools calendar 2. No way to create reoccurring events in calendars 3. No push notifications for circles messages 4. Circles is basically a giant group text. Has its uses, but doesn't remove Facebook's style of posting a post and having replies associated and kept with the post. 5. The discover tab is an Instagram style page that should really be in the gospel library app. 6. No web interface, thus preventing those who don't have smart phones from participating in the any way. 7. No way to sync the Today tab with Google calendar or Outlook. Some people have other calendars outside church. 8. You have to create a profile for your kid if you want to see anything for their circles. My son is 6, he doesn't need a circles app account, but i need to know what events are coming up for him. 9. If you share events to circles, they send a "text message" to it for you. If you change the event band, the circles messages doesn't change. 10. I'd love to report feedback directly to the developers, but the feedback button is broken. Like i said, feels Beta.

Updates needed but will be great.. The potential of this app is huge but right now the flexibility is lacking. When adding to the calendar it doesn’t automatically put in the date that you clicked to add an event. Say I went to June 17th to add a calendar event. I click the + sign to add a calendar item, then put in the event. Then I have to scroll from March to find the date I need instead of it automatically generating to the date I actually clicked on. Also the circles are great but the admintrators should have the ability to delete, change or add people to it. We are excited to start implementing the use of this app more and more and are hoping that there will be fixes along the way.

Great idea but not user friendly. I was excited about this way to communicate with my young women and also relief society, however it is not easy to figure out how to read a message. I see that there is a message, but finding it is difficult. Them N once I find it and read it, the app will say that I still have a messed. This makes people reluctant to use the app. Plus not everyone realizes that they have to allow notifications or they won’t see any messages being sent. Hopefully it will improve because it is a great way to communicate considering that I don’t have a smart phone so texting is not going to work for me.

Circles: Youth + Parents + Leaders = Success. Love the gospel living app but Circles is lacking. I love the idea of Circles, but it is missing the depth and versatility that other forums allow. Circles does not notify me of any conversations in my children’s circles. I can go in and view what’s happening if I remember to do so. Parents also aren’t allowed to comment or ask a question. That really puts a limit on communication. I’m a Primary Activity leader and continue to use GroupMe so that parents get notified of reminders for activities etc and can comment. Youth leaders post in both Circles and the GroupMe app so that parents can see what’s happening. If as parents we are aware of what’s happening in our child’s Primary Activity group or Youth group, we can help them to get the message, attend the activity, follow through with the assignment etc. Please consider making improvements to Circles capabilities so it can be a useful communication tool for children, youth, parents and leaders. ;)

Needs a Log Out. I can’t find where to Log Out. I want my kids to be able to have access to the app, but We also restrict their usage of personal devices, so in order for them to be able to participate on this app, they will need to log in on mine or my husbands devices, so we need to be able to log in and out. We would also like to have an option for circles to be able to connect with extended family that live far away and not in our ward/stake so the cousins can encourage and share better with each other.

Needs more for Goals. I’ve been looking forward to using this for a long time. Overall it looks great and I’m excite for most features. I’m a little disappointed in the Goals section. You can create goals, but they are just statements you view in the My Life section. You can create reminders, but the repeat options are limited. And that’s it for goals. No date, no repeat, no way to mark complete, no sub-goals or steps to reach, no way to measure progress. Since Goals are such a central part of the new Youth program, I was expecting quite a bit more development in this area. I was hoping to use this app as my central command center for managing my goals, but can’t do that... yet. I hope this functionality comes soon!!

Great! I have Suggestions:. This is a truly amazing app. I was so excited when they first announced it! A couple of suggestions: -Maybe in discover there could be a search bar, like so you can find music you just search up “music” instead of scrolling and maybe not even finding what you want - for the calendar thingy, can there be a “every day” option or a “select the days” option? Because I want to put my Youth activities so I don’t forget and we have them every week, so I think it’d be a great add on Those are the two biggest things. There is more but since the app just launched I don’t want to be that one very picky person

Great app!! Still a few things to add. I have been looking forward to this app as a parent and leader of youth! This is such a great way for communication and keeping track of our goals! There are a few things that still need work. It is linked with the Gospel Tools app, & if ward clerks do not update callings, our leaders or class presidencies won’t be added to the appropriate circles. It would be great if administrators like the Bishop or YW president had the ability to add the necessary people to groups. This goes the same for household circles. I have older sons who want to help their little brothers with their goals, but are not on our circle. We’d love to be able to add them and even grandparents to our household group!

Discover feature is awesome; Circles need work. The curated Discover section is truly great! There are tons of great quotes and videos and thought-provoking content there. I hope everyone using this app takes advantage of it. The Circles feature is a mess, though. Replies to a post are sent to everyone by default. This should change. The default should be reply to the original poster only. Make replies to all take an extra step or two. I don't want to get notified of all the messages saying "Me too" or "Thanks" automatically. Also, a feature marking all posts as "read" needs to be implemented ASAP. I've had to turn off badge notifications because they don't go away, even after I've scrolled through all the posts in a circle.

Not able to customize circles for communication. While I love this app, and feel it is a blessing to have, as a Primary President it is frustrating. Witt Covid, we would love to have our teachers utilize this app to communicate with the children in their classes by creating a circle group for each class. It would be cheaper than sending mail, and easier to give and follow on dimple assignments to still help the kids participate to some extent in lessons. Also, as we begin activity days again, we have 2 groups of boys and girls. It would be nice to be able to have a circle group for each set of leaders and their assigned kids and parents since both classes will be doing different activities based on the kids in their classes goals and needs. Please make the circles portion of this app customizable so we can better communicate with parents, leaders, and the kids we serve.

Living App. This app is amazing. Ever since the face to face devotional, I have been so excited to finally get to use it. There are various features, all which help a bunch. First, the discover tab. It has a lot of great content and many inspirational messages which are very uplifting. Next, the Today page. This tab is also very neat. You can add your church schedule to your calendar and never miss a meeting. Also, you can link others on it so they never will also. This will be so useful for all of the activities and meetings that people have to go to. The next tab is the My Life tab. In it, you can add impressions and goals. This will be helpful in the new Youth Program where people will set goals and complete them. The next tab is my favorite one: Circles. This tab acts as a group chat for all of the classes that you are in. Wether it be a Sunday School class or Priests Quorum, you can chat with them about upcoming things and also in many other ways. The last tab is the My Profile tab. This is where you can log into your account and see additional info. Overall this app is great and I am really excited to finally be able to use it.

Great, and lots of potential. Very spiritual app already, but Ive had some ideas about improvement, like what if you could keep an online journal on the app. Entries could be marked in the 4 categories and visited later or even brought back by the app (like memory feature of facebook) for you to view your spiritual progression. What if you could “freind” people, and post spiritual experiences/temple visits/Etc. for them to see. This way you could lift others up across multiple wards. What if you could keep track of scripture reading/prayer goals on the app. What if the app gave you a scripture of the day from your highlighted versus in the Gospel Library app.

Wonderful now. Will you be upgrading for use on an iPad? I only have a landline phone and this iPad, new and updated so I was hoping that this app would work on an iPad, but it doesn’t. 😢 thank you for updating this app for iPad use. It looks like it will be a very helpful tool and seems to function nicely now. You are wonderful and very awesome with brains that know how to fix gadgets that us older people have no idea how to work them. But I am willing to learn this and thanks you again. God bless you and your team. May God bless you always. 🤗💕

Great! But could we have it online too?. This app is just great. It’s been sooo helpful in lots of ways. It’s especially nice to have a way to talk with my classes at this time in history with all the COVID-19 stuff going around. I just have one suggestion. A lot of the youth in my ward don’t own or have access to a smartphone or tablet. It would be really nice if there was an online version available that could be accessed on a computer. It would make it a lot easier to access for some people.

Need some help! Hopeful and will update review as updates come out. I would like to suggest. Work in progress. As a PP from a large primary. the capacity to create additional circles and separate the circles in primary currently. -we need to be able to create groups for more than 1 activity group in primary. primary is only given 1 group for boys 1 group for girls We need 4 at least. -the ability to see chat discussions online and create goals. This is because you can only use this through a mobil device and not all children age 7 and up have access to one. And kids should not use the same login as adults. So they can work on their goals. We also have many large families and this would really benefit them. -we have several non member families that go and attend. We can not include them :( -please find a way to give access to divorce parents to both be a part of a child’s circle

AMAZING but.... This app is the best! Just two suggestions, I have a iPad. And my moms on her phone almost every day so I can’t get it or do it on her phone. And, it’s the size it should be on my iPad. (Look in the photo) see? Anywho, I agree with the circle requests too, I mean, it’s great and all but I want I bigger way to contact secret people, not the whole Shabang. I love this app, but I’m really hoping you can upgrade the size to iPads. It’s hard to use the circle keyboard when I go to type too sooo, thanks so much for this app, and it’s amazing features. ~~ A.E.A

Not fully developed. As a leader there are some features which are frustrating. Currently there’s not a way to create a circle/chat which could include nonmembers. We were hoping this app would be able to replace the mass group texts we send but it looks like that won’t be the case so far. It also includes the bishopric in all of the circles related to callings which could get overwhelming for them with the notifications they’ll be receiving. Great potential in this app but still a long way to go before it’s efficient and fully inclusive of all who participate in the children and youth programs.

Desktop version?. I think this is a great app but something I think would help communication within classes/quorum is a desktop version of at least the Circles feature for those who do not have a personal mobile device. They can potentially see what is happening in their Circles groups by use of a parent’s mobile device, if the parent has the app, but they would not be able to comment on the chat. If this is able to be accomplished I believe it would help further connection between class members and leaders. Thanks!

Branch out more?. For the purposes of my teenagers, this app is great. I think it has the potential to do a lot more, though! It would be a great tool for ministering - especially the Circles. Please make an option to create your own circles within wards (or stakes!). I know my kids have friends in other wards in our stake and other nearby stakes, and they would enjoy the ability to quickly and easily communicate and share articles (and stake youth events!). So a group for friends you met at girls camp, or friends you met at that super fun dance the next stake over.

More circles!!. I love the circles feature. It is such a great alternative to sending message to quorum members. I love being able to see messages being sent to my children as well in all their circles. If you have this app but are not utilizing the circles feature you are missing out on the peat feature the living app has to offer. The nice thing about it is when you move into a new ward you will be connected to the circle automatically. And for new members moving in it is great great they can already be connected. As a former elders quorum president I was hoping the church would come up with a better system to send messages to the quorum, because the massive group texts and emails or third party messaging applications was such a burden to maintain especially when you are in a ward with lots of members moving in and out. Circles solves so many communication problems, but you do have to do some legwork getting everyone to log into it and use it. I wish there was a way to make your own circles or have an admin make a circle for you. For instance, I am in a self reliance class in our stake and it would be nice if we all were in the same circle so we could share inspirational messages to each other throughout the week. Also I would like to make a circle for extended family members that live both within and outside the ward/stake. Is there a way to make this an option in a future update?

Disjointed app. Gospel Living app is trying to be three different applications at once and doing it poorly. It’s a content feed of lightweight, rushed, and under-thought content. It’s a weak goal setting app and it’s a weak messaging app. Non of these tools are better than existing tools out there. I don’t understand why the business side of the church feels like they need to always build their own proprietary tools, especially when there are tools already out there that people are using. What problem is this app solving for members that other apps aren’t already solving? This app doesn’t answer that question and won’t be successful until it does.

Great integration of connectedness and focus!. Our homes are a sanctuary from (but within) the world, and this app feels like a sanctuary from (but within) the virtual world! Enjoying the features for keeping goals, reminders, and a private way to connect with my family and those serving in callings for the classes and quorums we are all involved in. This is great to teach texting with some safeguards in a more private app. Excited to keep using it, and hope some features will come on board (like extending circles to those we are ministering, or extended family not in our household).

Great app. Need better notifications on Circles. I really love this App. The information available is wonderful. The Circles tab could be amazing if only a few things are worked on. First and foremost, the notifications need improvement. I could go a day or two without knowing someone sent a message if I’m not checking it constantly. When I send something, I need people to notice it has been sent. Also, if we could build some of our own circles, that would be great. My wife is the seminary teacher and it would be great if she had a circle for her students. We also have youth from other units that need to be included for communication purposes. Let’s work out a few kinks and make this app incredible!!!

Circles is worthless. I absolutely hate circles. I NEVER get notifications and yes everything is turned on. I don’t even get a little red circle on the app icon to indicate if I have new messages and how many. Nothing. Messages don’t even post until hours or days later, or never! And now that they want us to use circles exclusively for communication, we are missing activities and everything else. It’s beyond frustrating!! For how well the church normally executes everything it does, I am beyond disappointed in this application. To me it’s absolutely worthless. Please fix this or better yet eliminate this messaging option entirely so we can go back to Group Me!!

Seems pretty great. But I was mostly interested in the Group communication aspect. I wish parents could post in their children’s circles as well as get notifications of posts in those circles if they want. Otherwise, it’s really not that great of a real-time communicator. Parents will have to manually go in to each of their child’s groups to check for messages. They aren’t going to be notified and so they won’t see posts in a timely manner and thus people aren’t going to use it to communicate as much. Maybe it’s not meant to be that kind of a messaging platform though.

Sign in failed due to unknown reason. Signing into my sons account gives this message: Ooops sign in failed due to unknown reason. Please try again. I’ve tried again for several days. I’ve deleted the app and reloaded it. I’ve called tech support and there is nothing wrong with this account. I can log into the church website and family search. But not the app. Hoping to log in soon especially since the quorum is using this as it’s only form of communication. It’s been a time consuming frustration to figure this out. He doesn’t have a phone. So when I log out of my account and try to log into his (which fails every time) and then try to log into mine again I get the same message. Please allow us to choose different profiles within the app so we don’t have to log in/out constantly. Especially since logging in is problematic

Making the transition is hard (at least, for Circles). From what I’ve seen, wards don’t seem to adopt the Circles for quorum or class communication (I wish they would) because *not all* members of the quorum/class have this app installed and logged in, but they do *all* send and receive text messages (at least, the ones who have phones). I believe that the Gospel Living app would experience much faster adoption for quorum/class communication if it offered a use-the-app-if-ya-got-it approach like the Remind app does. That is, it sends actual texts to those quorum/class members who haven’t installed the app, and dispenses with the text overload thing us polyteenagerparents end up with, by discreetly delivering messages via the Gospel Living app. Anyway, this is a suggestion that I believe, if implemented, would accelerate adoption, by easing the transition.

Can you remove people from circles?. I haven’t used it too much, but I would love to be able to remove people from the circles. I feel if the entire bishopric and YW presidency is on every single group they will get a lot of messages and could get confusing or overwhelming especially when they don’t really need to be in all of them. Also would love to add Adult advisors/leaders. It would be great to be able to create our own as well. I love the idea behind this though. If/when all the youth are using it I know it’ll make staying in contact with them so much more convenient.

I LOVE IT❤️. I have been so excited for this app ever since the face to face I think it is so great and is a really good way to spend your time. The only suggestion I would have is, with your goals, I think every day you should have a little area next to the goals and you can check off if you worked on that goal that day, and if you still haven’t checked it off the app could send you a reminder and also the reminders should be a bit more spread out just randomly so u don’t get them all at one time😁

Great concept with room for improvement. I think this app is a great concept and I have been waiting in anticipation. I love that it is an all-in-one kind of an app. Our stake has really pushed the use of our ward online calendar to schedule activities and other planned events; it would nice if this app would sync with that calendar to keep everyone up to date and eliminate the chance of redundancies. Also, I noticed that it lists people, such as myself, as an “administrator” but I see no functionality to that role in the app. Thanks for making this app such a useful tool. I look forward to seeing it improve and get better.

Amazing app but you could a couple things.... I just got the app and it has awesome content but the scripture of the day isn’t working and me and my family want a circle but we can’t figure out how to make one and people with iPads sound disappointed I have a friend with an iPad and to fix that problem would be great other than that it’s an awesome app (Needs memes though kinda expected that 😬) thank you so much for making it I needed it 😁

Just one thing to fix . . .. I think that this app is very useful and an awesome resource for church members. However, the “household” circle (at least for those people I know) does not seem to work correctly. As far as I know, household circles do not include actual household members, but rather just the single user on the app. Therefore if we send something, we are only messaging ourselves. In my personal household group I am shown as an administrator, but I have no power to add anyone else to my group. I don’t know if this has to do with the fact that I’m 18+ and living with my parents, but it does seem like a bug. In content and design, though, this is a great app. I enjoy browsing the discover tab, and especially like the church music playlists that the app shares.

Everyone needs to download this so we can see how awesome it is. Here’s the thing. Everyone ought to download and set up this application, and then set a few goals for themselves. Just like all other social media applications, it’s power comes in the amount of people on the app. Right now, there aren’t a TON of people using it, but it has an incredible potential! You can set goals and share them with people. You can write down impressions then set a reminder for when you want to follow through. Think social media but clean and wholesome. The app isn’t perfect yet, but the more people use it, the better it will get as more feedback gets through.

Notifications unreliable. The notification function is poorly implemented and needs improvement. If I open the app I am able to see new messages In the group, but not if the app is closed. Banner alerts don’t occur even if the app is given all the permissions. This makes it a difficult alternative to other platforms. If you need a group to test with please let me know as we’ve agreed as a ward council to move to this app.

Good idea but terribly slow!. I love the the idea of being able to use this app for messaging within the church, but the notification system isn’t great and the loading time for anything in the app is terrible! When messenger and what’s app are almost loading messages instantaneously, it’s hard to move away from those resources and onto the living app. Also there needs to be the ability to create new chat groups within the ward.

Great App. Useful resources for leaders and youth.

Can’t find any tutorial or help and can’t work out how to use it. So sad but no way to work out what to do so deleted it. Not sure what is wrong, but couldn’t work out how to add things, even some things I selected appeared not to do anything. Is it me?

Thanks. Thanks for investing in an app that we can use to chat without having to use social media apps like messenger because we have a lot of people that don’t want to use that app. Just a few suggestions for the circles, a chat for Bishop, EQ and RS president only. A YSA chat and also Bishop should be included in the Relief Society chat because sometimes Bishop likes to share important information and help monitor the chat groups. But I love the app and look forward to updates.

Wonderful app. It is a great app and I am so excited for it, however, there could be a few small improvements made! 1. I’d recommend putting the calendar section and the journal section into one so it can be written for a specific day and you can also set goals and reminders for that specific day. Eg read scriptures today, write a letter to a friend, etc. 2. With this new space freed up in the tool bar, you could utilise it to create a new feature such as a video section (BOM videos, Church messages, etc.) and you could use the ‘discover’ section as a ‘news’ section. Obviously these are just suggestions and it is so much easier for me to say these things than for the church to put them into practice, but I do think there can be improvements! Other than that it is an awesome app and is created by inspired leaders 🙂

Good so Far. Just one minor thing, just updated the app and when I go into Circles my keyboard covers half the text field, even tried turning off predictive text thinking that was the problem, nope. Not detrimental but kinda annoying

Half of the screen. I can not see half the screen on the iPad. Please fix. I want to be able to use this..

Great progressive app.. Seems great so far. I’m assuming it will keep improving as well.

Exciting but More needed for traction. The content feature is unsurprisingly the best feature. The circles would benefit from some notification settings. This app is trying to provide a common church supported platform for communication among members. It won’t get adoption if you can’t tell there’s new messages waiting inside (app badge notifications or banner notifications for example). Meanwhile text messages, fB messenger, messages, email already do this. Also currently adults don’t have circles outside their home unless they have ward Council Callings. Elders Quorum and Relief Society members need ability to communicate with their organizations if only to bring them on the same page as the youth leader biased circles feature. Need to bring both adults and youth on-board to make this an app that replaces other methods of communication. Lastly calendar sync with ward/Stake/church calendar from ChurchofJesusChrist.org is needed. If nothing but to reward all the time put into adding events into the calendar making it a one stop shop for youth parents adults and leaders. Why would someone manually add calendar events to “Today” when they have already been added to ChurchofJesusChrist.org, member tools, or for the rare member who has subscribed to church calendar events using the sync URL from ChurchofJesusChrist.org? Why would They add events if they won’t share with anyone else? The notifications, calendar and EQ RS features will give this app the traction needed for mass adoption. I currently have messages in 4 of my circles and have zero responses after 12 days from adults or youth who I know have already downloaded the app—because they don’t even know it’s there and don’t have a habit or solid reason to check the app yet. I admire the ambition of this app and can’t wait for it to get there. Can’t wait to have ability/prompts to communicate with ward members, church calendar syncing, and ability for adults to replace other app messaging for church communication. Bonus feature? Ability to create circles with extended out-of-ward/stake family members. Would have to be done by manual membership record number invites and ability to accept or reject those vs global lookup and the problems that would present.

Review. I can’t see my circles on IPAD or settings

Logout feature. Please make a logout feature I need to switch my account since I used the wrong one when signing in. I can’t get in any circles. It would make it so much better!!

How do you share a photo or attach link in circles. Our ward RS would really like to use this uplifting website as a way to communicate vs what’s up app or some other chat line but we are having troubles using it this way. Is there a way to do this we don’t know about? Please post if you know of a way? We DO like that you can see the names of people right above their post.

Same problem on iPad. Only can see 1/2 the screen. Could be really useful if it worked

Separate circles are. It would be much nicer to have the circles group chat as a Separate app

The iPad problem:. Thank you for fixing it! This has made using the app much better.

Getting Close to Great. For a long time our ward tried to use this app but no one got notifications. So unless you opened the app you didn’t know you had a message (iOS for iPhone8). But recently we noticed this feature is working. The red number, notification center, and a sound goes. This is GREAT!! However, on the iOS for iPhone 8 the sound is so quiet the Bishopric doesn’t hear them. There is no way to change the sound. Can this be improved? Please?

Circles. The circles app would be a lot better and more user-friendly if you could see what you’re actually typing for more than a few words at a time in the text box.

Needs definite improvement. I’m hoping we can get this app more efficient! This is a great app for us at these challenging times but we need it set up more like Facebook so that we can have different threads and not have to scroll down every time the whole way from top to bottom! Also it doubles up on copy pasting and you can’t scroll down what you are posting before you add your post!! I’m hoping it can be changed quickly as our shut downs are not letting up and we need a more effective app!

So happy they came out with this app!. My kids will be able to be a lot More organized now!

Great start. Just need to be able to message the parents of youth as well as the kids.

2021 Attempt. Trying to get all the youth on the app for 2021, after the response in 2020 was lukewarm - however so many great updates have happened since then. It would be great to be able to message parents of youth, have youth directly message their leaders (my youth leaders circle perhaps), edit messages, and for the calendar notification to go away after checking Thank you for continuing to update this app - it is a great potential tool to connect to the ward and the levels of transparency are great when interacting with the youth!

Needs work for iOS.. No ability to share links, videos, or even copy text within a discussion when others share links. Needs a lot of work. With no ability to share anything, this seems quite functionless.

Logout Feature. My daughter got confused logging in and created a new account rather than using her church account. There is no logout feature so she can’t login with her correct username and password. We’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app but it still won’t work and it automatically signs into this new account she created. Her new account is not linked to her church account so she is not about to join any circles.

It’s amazing. I love this app so much. I would like it if you could individually message people though through circles. Other than that though it is perfection.👌

Can’t see it all. I really like the idea of this app. Unfortunately, I can only see the left half of the screen on discovery and can’t figure out how to change it so I can read the articles.

Excellent way to Connect. I have been using this app for a while. Works great with iPhone. I use “Circles” to connect with those who I serve. As soon as a message comes I get notification on my phone and Apple Watch. Best way to focus on the Lord’s work with out noise of the World!

Great app! 🤩. I love this app! It helps me keep my goals in line and reminds me to do them, and I LOVE the playlists they come out with! The only problem I’ve seen is the music takes a really long time to actually start. It just sits there and loads. Not a huge deal, but maybe that could fixed?? I know it’s a fairly new app and still in the experimental stage. Thank you! 💕

Much more. Love the ability to chat in groups. I wish I go reminders and my unread worked more timely. Also, wish we could have leadership edit those circles, however, to add investigators or youth who’s records are in their ‘other parents ward’ regencies in our circle as well. Keep it up!

Circles - YSA Ward. I’m a bishop of a YSA ward. As a result of the calling I have 2 “Adults” circles that show up in my gospel living app. One for my home ward and one for our YSA ward. However, my counselors only have one “Adults” circle - the one for their home ward. Apparently the calling of counselors in a YSA (or out of unit ward) bishopric are not given access to the “Adults” circle for the YSA ward they serve in (they do have access to the YSA bishopric circle). Can this be fixed? Without my counselors being able to participate in the circle that communicates with the entire YSA ward (ie: the YSA “Adults” circle), there is a major disincentive to even use this feature.

notifications on circles not working. I would love to give this app five stars, but with notifications not working for me on circles, it makes it really hard to know when people are adding content. I don’t check the app everyday so having a notification pop up to tell me someone made a comment on circles would be a huge update. Also, the “send feedback” feature does not allow me to submit feedback.

Very basic and barely works. Doesn't match the mobile app experience very well... the general app structure exists so you can find/use everything the same way, but it doesn't really work. In particular, the biggest issue I've found is that any article/post you open has invisible text (the text is the same color as the background color, making it impossible to ready anything). The music also doesn't continue playing (and for some reason needs microphone access? That doesn't make sense).

Prayers Answered :). I’ve been waiting for an app like this for a long time. One that takes all of the principles of goal-setting, recording revelation, etc. and puts it in the context of living a Christian life. The articles in the app are inspiring. You can filter what you read about and watch based on your interests. They have many ideas on how to set goals in each aspect of your life (spiritual, intellectual, social/emotional, and educational). I am so grateful for this app!

What if the youth don’t have phones. I work with the 12-13 year olds and many of them do not have phones. I am told by their parents they can see their circles, but cannot respond to them. This is such a let down considering one of our youth without a phone/device is the president and needs to be able to respond. Would love some troubleshooting or advice. I feel heavily pushed by our local leaders to use this app, but I’m not going to have half the class unable to use it. For now our class is sticking to other communication methods.

Love it!. I love this app. I like to listen to music from the app but after months of listening to the 2021 Youth Theme Album, I was disappointed to look in my favorites and find that it was gone. I have searched for it on and off for weeks and it hasn’t returned. I am hoping it returns soon. Also, the videos won’t play for me. They used to play fine. I have searched all over in my phone and iPad and can’t find a reason for the videos not playing.

Circles. I think the circles part of the app isn’t useful until it has a way of notifying you there is a message waiting to be read. Like SMS or any other messaging platform in the world. I have all notifications allowed for the app, but I have no idea there’s a message unless I go all the way in under every member of my household. Also my kids without phones can’t use this at all. It’s not working with any of our tablets. Kind of falls short of being as useful as it’s potential started out.

So exited it’s here!. I’ve been anxiously awaiting this apps release! It’s full of positivity and truth. It’s packed with amazing articles, quotes, videos, and tips. I love the ability to connect with youth groups without making huge group texts that nobody feels they can reply to or depending on social media. It’s such a great place for our teens to spend some time. I haven’t gotten to check it all out yet since it just came out but so far it looks amazing!🙂 Thank you so much for this app!

Love It!. This is amazing! We’ve been waiting ever since it was announced, but one weird thing happened, it is completely messed up on our iPad, it works fine on everything else but the iPad is all zoomed out like its a picture, and all the elements are the wrong size and out of place, the taskbar is zoomed in really far and is stuck in the center of the screen. Not to mention half the screen is cropped out of view and we can’t move it. So good job guys, this is a great app, just not on the IPad.

Works great. Couple of ideas.... Works just like it should and the church has been needing something like this for a long time. Couple of updates I would like to see in the future is the ability to contact individual members, along with your quorums and your classes, for private chat. Also compatibility with the iPad would make using this app much easier. Edit: The new update now allows compatibility with iPads. It works really well.

Tweaks needed when using font size greater than default. The Filter Discover settings need to account for changing the text font size. I have an iPhone 8 and if I increase the font size by one size, where the heading is “FILTER BY AREAOF GROWTH”, the text next to it doesn’t have enough space. Instead of seeing “select all” or “deselect all” it appears as “se... all” or “de... all” Maybe the solution is to put those words on a separate line or to use sentence case for the heading ?

Great possibilities. It is a nice app and I’m loving all the improvements. One improvement I believe that would help our ward a lot would be to notify parents when an event has been added to a child’s circle. Not all our youth have phones so when an event is added to a child’s circle it would be nice for the parents to get a notification so they can know there is an event coming up.

Great just needs to work across all devices. This is a great app for iPhone and phones in general but iPads don’t work with it. The app takes up a small section of the screen and you can’t scroll through everything. Just fix that and otherwise it’s a great app! It’s great for youth and adults of the church to communicate with!!

Love it, please consider bug fix. I love being able to add a photo to the activities. I make flyers & it's a nice perk. However, when selecting a photo from the "camera roll," there is no back button after selecting. Instead it just says "cancel" in the top left corner. Scrolling down just shows all my pictures & there's no bottom button there either. Sometimes, the picture doesn't show as loaded & it's really annoying trying to figure out if it's just not loaded & showing, or if the "cancel" button really cancelled it. I'm on an iPhone, if that matters. Also, it says there's a error with me submitting this on the app. So, I apologize if you get it multiple times.

I’ve been waiting for this app!. I love the ability to communicate with others in the ward so easily! Just two recommendations: ability to add people to the circle who aren’t in the organization (neighbors, those who attend but aren’t members, etc) and ability to see the calendar in month view. Also, add ability for all organizations to join!

Basic functions need to be fleshed out.. It's a communication app for a specific group of people. My issue is that the notifications do not go away and there is not an easy way to track down what the notification is coming from. I have 1 notification from a circle but I go through the circle and I've already seen those messages. It's probably a reply to a thread from a while back but I'd have to go through the entire chat log. It'd be great if you can tap and hold and have it take you directly to the message causing the notifications. Or if you could sort by unread, or simply void the notification.

Good foundation to build off. I love the concept and it’s well laid out. My biggest challenge is I can’t create my own circle groups. My ward works with the other ward YW in our building so I would LOVE to be able to create a circle with all the girls in both wards. That would be invaluable! Also it would be excellent if the building reservations on the church website would auto-populate to the Gospel living calendar. Then we don’t have to type the same thing more than once

iPad Options. I downloaded the app to my phone & it seems great so far, so I downloaded it to the iPad that our children share and found it not to be useable at all. For the kids in Primary Activities this would be a great first step into social media, but many won’t have phones yet & a parent’s phone won’t always be accessible. For our daughter with low vision, the iPad also gives her options a smaller screen just cannot, so even as she ages she’ll likely use an iPad most often. Thank you for the work you’ve done thus far! Eagerly awaiting an iPad update!

Notifications Still Completely Unreliable. We are really trying to use this app to foster greater communication in our ward. Unfortunately, most of our ward continues to refuse to use the app because it is so buggy regarding notifications. Most of the time new messages in circles will not trigger notifications, and when they do, they will not push to the user. If you want to check new messages, you have to physically open the app and scroll around to see if there have been any updates. Please, please allocate the resources needed to tackle the notification issues once and for all so we can feel confident about convincing members to use the app.

Circles needs to post notifications. I think the app is great. But if we are going to communicate through the circles, it needs to put a number notification on the outside of the app, like any other notification. There was not a notification that I had a conversation until I actually opened the app looking for something else. Please fix this as we are trying to communicate through it, but it’s not helpful unless people see we are trying to communicate with them. Also, my notifications are turned on. So that’s not the problem.

Kicks people out. I like the content on the home page but circles does not work. As RS Pres I have to re-add people to circles because they’re getting bumped out. I’ve added the same two people three times. Who else has gotten bumped out but didn’t notice?!? And the notifications are unreliable. Having a separate tab for activities is such clumsy functionality. Being read only on my kid’s circles is frustrating because I can’t ask questions.

YSA Ward Access. I see huge benefits for this application and am very excited about it. Unfortunately, there are some things that need to be fixed for us to use it effectively. My wife and I are serving in a YSA ward. Our “home” ward is the only ward we can see in the circles. We need access to the circles in the YSA ward where we are assigned. We do have access to the YSA ward in LDS tools but not in this app. I can’t wait to have access to this and it answers frustrations for YSA communication. Excellent and I can’t wait. I hope my suggestion is already being addressed.

Tweaks. Thank you so much for making this app to begin with I have really enjoyed looking at it but I have a few things that I would add -I think I should be able to share scriptures and different things that are impactful -search bar so you can search for something that is specially oriented to you. -I read that you are changing this but I would like to be able to share what I find with people that are not in my chorum or family

Sharing topics with others individually. I love looking at all the different spiritual content, but when I see something that I just want to share with one person I can’t. I can’t even individual share something with my brother, or share something through text messages. Somethings don’t fully need to be shared with adults, but since adults can see all the circles their children are in that it eliminates anything bad happening.

Very helpful except.... I love this app but heathers was just one thing that was frustrating. I had a hard time with the circles because some people were not added already in it and we had to go through a big process of including everyone into the circles and making sure that everyone was in. But besides that, I love it

Circles. Good app overall, with one major issue: Parents are not notified when new items are posted in their children’s circles. This is very frustrating when YM and YW leaders insist on using the app to communicate but the parents are in the dark because of the lack of notifications. The only way to know if something new has been posted is to check each circle assigned to each child. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Has potential, but basics don’t work. I love the potential of this app, but basic stuff feels unfinished, specifically notifications. I see a badge on the app on the home screen when there’s an update, but after opening the app, there’s no indication of what was updated. Is it a new message in one of my circles? I have to open them all until I find the message because there’s no indicator on the circles themselves. If it’s not a new message in circles, then what? Please fix this. It’s driving me crazy.

Good church app but there is some flaws. I enjoy the app but there is a flaw in its design. Notifications for new announcements or activities are coming through and there is no way to set notifications. Is there something that I’m not seeing in the settings? My son is missing out of activities and meetings due to not getting any notifications. My husband and when asked by the Teacher’s quorum leader asked were we getting the announcements of meetings. We have never gotten a notification at all from the time we downloaded this app. Could that feature be added PLEASE?!

Love it!. This helps me pass along info in my ward efficiently. It seems to gets updated to make it a better app fairly regularly. I hope to see it get better and better as the time goes on. I also hope to see more ward members using it so I don’t need to post information on 3 different platforms for everyone to see. The more who download and use it the more effective it will become.

Please add more notifications options. Hopping on to say I really hope you add more notification options. Even the little red circle that shows up on iOS apps would be fantastic! I love the circles!! I hope you add more notification options. They really help with time-sensitive messages, especially within presidency circles, etc.

Love the idea, has some glitches that need fixing. I love this app, the circles app and shortcuts are amazing! I think there’s a few things that if they were fixed would make this app foolproof. I wish there was a way to create chats, like a girls camp chat with just parents, YW and leaders. I also think the notifications are off, my app won’t stop displaying the unread number even though I’ve clicked into the chats to be updated. Other then that i love the app! I’ll come back and give a better rating once it’s all ironed out!!

4 goal areas can be improved.. Under the “My Life” tab where you can create a goal, it would be better if they were color coated and organized by tabs - Spiritual, Intellectual, Physical and Social. Currently you cannot see which of your goals is where unless you click on them. I’d like to click the My Life tab and see my goals organized. And then be able to click on them individually as well, like you can now. Thanks.

Red notification bubble. This app has great potential and has come a long way since being created. There are a few bugs that I hope can be fixed. I think the biggest one is the notification bubble. I’m grateful that I know when people are talking on the app but once seen the bubble does not go away. As someone who tries to never have that red notification bubble on their phone this is frustrating. I’m hoping that this bug is fixed soon.

Great communicator. I am so excited to have all my kids classes and programs have one place to communicate. The one thing I hate is that as a parent I don’t get notified when things are added to their circle. Or I can’t ask a question or post in the circle. One of my kids go through my app to see their things and they can’t post reminders on there.

Solid so far. Really good app and the discover page is really useful. Along with being able to create and share calendars, goals and thoughts I really like what you can do. Only problem right now is I have to re login, which has happened more than once. Also the notifications for circles is a little weird and slow. It would be nice to see a little more customizable things for the circles part. Overall I like the app and will be using it frequently.

All together now!. We have been waiting for this app since Elder Gong announced it at the Face to Face. We have several youth who do not have unlimited texts. With this app we now have a way to communicate with our YW and their families without putting undo pressure on them with our groups texts. Thank you for adding Cirlces to this much needed app! Yay! We’re so glad it’s finally here! Question: is there any way to customize circles so we can create personal groups that are not preselected for us?

I want to like this app. The app has so much potential and has slowly improved over time, but like all the other church apps it is buggy and has a lot of problems. It struggles to automatically update and that makes the notifications hit and miss. Sometimes a message gets repeated several times. We rely on this app to get announcements out to our church youth and adults in our local area, so is it too much to ask for to have additional IT resources dedicated to fixing these issues? I’m sure those working on it are doing their best, but they need more help to keep up.

Circles for Family is a Pain. I can’t access my kids circles from my account. I can view the information, but can’t comment as a parent. My kids don’t have cell phones and can’t access their information, which has me switching accounts constantly. Super frustrating. If there is a way to change the settings that allows parents to comment rather than just view - please let me know.

Hooray! It now works on iPad! 👍🏼. UPDATE: Thank you developers for your prompt response in correcting the problem with iPads! I look forward to becoming more familiar with and using this app. PREVIOUSLY: I downloaded the app to my iPad, but it doesn’t load completely or function at all. It seems to work fine on my iPhone, but I would like to access it from either device. I hope it can be worked out.

Great app could use some updates for circles. We have noticed that specialists do not have inclusion in circles. Also there are some callings included in some circles that cannot be removed but are not needed. Hoping future updates will allow an add/remove option for admins to use in circles. The activities graphic within the circle message is also hard to read. Will direct message be added at some point? Thanks

Goals. I think this app is great in many aspects, and is a really useful tool for creating a positive environment anywhere you go. The only problem I’ve had is that, although I set daily reminders for my goals, I don’t receive any notifications. I may have been reminded of each goal once or twice, but not for the past few months. Hopefully there is an easy fix I’m missing, but it would be great to see this fixed if it is a problem with the application.

Fix the bugs. If I have notification badges, I check them so I’m notified. If the notifications never go away for things I’ve already seen, I’m going to disable badges because you don’t know how to do things properly. Then I’ll miss updates being posted. And your app has failed to relieve on the one purpose it has for residing on my phone. Other programs that have this kind of bug can usually be helped by killing the app, but that doesn’t even work.

Need Ability to creat “custom” Circle. Love this app. I am so excited to see this come out. Can I make a suggestion to allow “custom” circles to be created. I noticed there is no Seminary circle and I would love to create a circle with my seminary students. Or to create a circle with some family members or with a women’s study group, etc where we can customize and invite other users of the app into a circle.
