Worst app/purchase ever. What’s the point of paying for a WiFi instant pot if it can’t be connected to WiFi? I am on a 2.4GHz network and completely removed the 5GHz network from my phone and yet, still can’t connect the instant pot app to my WiFi! Ridiculous! If you want to sell a smart instant pot, hire smart developers.

Instant pot app great. Love the Instant Pot app. I like being able to mark faves to try, set I made this, see reviews and add my own notes. It’s helped me have a lot of fun cooking in the Instant Pot

Update device functionality.. The WiFi connected well the first time I tried. It worked well the first week, then it stopped. I’ve been trying for several months to reconnect it to WiFi with no result. I have two other instant pots, so I only bought this because of the WiFi. I’m very tech savvy, so I know it isn’t user’s error. This WiFi version cost me more than the others because of the “smart” features. Without those features, it’s just like any ordinary instant pot. So, I paid extra for a paper weight. I feel like a sucker. 🤦‍♂️

Server error. Could not load device list. Used to work but now i just get message server error. Could not load device list. Try again. (In infinite loop) I tried deleting app and data, deleting account and creating a different account, hard reset on the pot, 2.4g WiFi, reconnect pot to phone, and sent email to support. It seems the app version is broken.

No notifications. Initially when I have signed up and register my device I used to get notifications but now it doesn’t show any notifications. I can see the status by opening the app and checking the status from devices but I don’t receive any notifications. The developer had still not answered about a fix for no notifications.

Not Working. Tried to sign in to access my instant pot device and all of the sign in links were not working at all. Once I was finally able to find a way to get to the sign in page, I got a “server error” message. No updates in the works from what I can tell so it’s basically a useless app from what I can tell. Not to mention having recipes on this app, but also pushing a separate app with recipes makes no sense at all.

Don’t waste your money.. I bought this pot strictly for the ability to start and use my pot from work. I cannot log into the app so therefore I can’t use the Wi-Fi feature. I contacted support and have gotten two generic emails that say the same thing. “Thank you for your patience we are working on it”. This error shouldn’t take long to correct since reviewers over a period of years have the same complaint. They should be proficient in fixing this problem. I think it is time to stop supporting instant products since they don’t want to support the customer. So disappointed.

Doesn’t work. Return that instant pot and save your money buying the cheap one like the first review said didn’t work since day one ! It’s so disappointing paying extra money for a device doesn’t work properly the app never found any device, I have Alexa too and donde work either didn’t returned because I already used it and with everything it’s happening right now with the covid 19 I preferred just accepted the fact they stoled my money!!! But when I saw someone have my same problem I was like no no no I have to back her up and tell ppl .

Server Error Could not load device list. How is taking all of our data, storing it on your cloud server and selling our profile to your marketers working out for you instapot? That’s the deal right? You give me the functionality of accessing my instapot over the internet and in return I let you profit off my identity even after I paid for your device? Well you aren’t even holding up your end of the bargain since the app no longer works and can’t pair. Can I have my profile data back? Great business model, I hope you burn!!

Changed. I have been using this app since I got my Instant Pot. They decided to make it for WiFi instead of making a new app for WiFi. Tried to look at my favorite recipe and it asked for an id and password. Thanks for jacking up the app. Guess I have to download the other app and start over

Clunky. WiFi pairing worked fine for me on the first try, although I think there are way too many steps in the process. Instant Brands needs to simplify this. But the real downer of a user experience comes in having to use two separate apps, one for recipes and one to control the cooker, and yet the remote control app still makes you put up with a bunch of recipes, and you have to dig through menus to find the status of your Smart WiFi cooker. WHY??? The status of your device and the control options should be the first thing you get when opening the app. There’s no excuse.

Sign in error. I was using the app to remote control the device for about a month but it suddenly shows the sign in error during these recent days. The problem here is that if I can't sign in to my account, I can't remote my smart wifi Intant pot! Besides, I even tried to change the passwords, delete the app and then reinstall it. But, it still presents the same "server error" unfortunately! (the message is "Server error. Please try again.) Could you please help me to fix the problem so I can happily use the function properly once again? Thank you!

Worst App, BT IP Is Useless. Let me start by saying, don’t bother with the Bluetooth Instant Pot. The BT function is useless. It requires this app which has never worked for me. I’ve had the BT IP for years. Sometimes the app connects but there was never a functioning alarm where it would send you a notification when the IP was done. And the Bluetooth range is literally 10 whole feet, unless there’s a wall. Why bother? And now the app is even more useless if you can believe it because it won’t even load My Devices. So I can’t even connect to the IP. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling. Why charge extra for a feature you never intended to let people use, Instant Pot?! They have a WiFi IP now but why would I ever spend the extra $$ for it when this hasn’t worked since Day One... like 6 or 7 years ago? Come on, figure it out!

Unable to pair anything due to stupid logic errors. Useless. The app can find the WiFi module in the pot, but cannot add it to my account BECAUSE YOU DISCONNECTED THE APPS INTERNET ACCESS BY SELECTING A NETWORK THAT ISN'T CONNECTED TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD IN THE PREVIOUS STEP and didn’t restore the settings for the previous connection correctly. (seriously, why does it require an account on a outside server when the app doesn’t support remote access over the Internet?) Hate to break it to ya, guys, but that’s never gonna work... This app is full of logic mistakes like the one above. It needs to be reengineered to think the entire process through and use Bluetooth to do initial setup for the WiFi, then WiFi for the rest. Fortunately, the pot still works on it’s own and the time can be manually set from the panel, so this app can be ignored. Unnecessarily complex and inflexible. Suggestions to developers: needs fixed IP address capability for IPv4 and IPv6 and NTP support as well as proper multi-band WiFi support. Prompt for initial time zone in the PROM setup, and then derive exact location. Have an option to display MAC address for WiFi interface. If you guys need help with this, I’m reasonably priced and available. 🙂

It works well, not perfect but love it. The app works well enough with improvements needed: setup remote control over WiFi was relatively easy; love the delay start with two timer options; improvements are needed: no delay timer on Warmer; can’t stay on login with saved profile; have to re-sign; lost the connections to the Pot and have to download and reinstall the app to get it work again In short the app works but need improvements

Great recipe source !. I have made many recipes for this app, and every single one of them so far has turned out perfect!

Needs work. This app really needs worked on. I shouldn’t have to constantly mess with my cooker before it connects in the app. Even when it’s on and running the app will say it’s off line and that happens even after messing with it until it connects and setting up my delay start.

You have to be insane to be able to use this app. So, by following the instructions of the “Instant Pot Smart Wifi”’s instruction Manual, I ended up downloading 2 apps, the first one was just a recipe book, and this one, which it allegedly leverages on the “smart” capabilities of the product. I didn’t have an account, and had to make one for the first app, when I used the credentials to sing in on this app, it says wrong email or password; tried creating an account, and it said My email was already registered; and after reseting my password 16 times, it still didn’t allowed me access to the app, so, since insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different outcomes, and I ran out of patience, I encourage you to run away from this app, your sanity will appreciate it

Useless App. This app does not deserve any stars. You always get configuration error. The troubleshooting steps are useless, they only say connect to 2.4ghz network and check for wrong passwords. I am hoping customer technical support might help.

Paired instant pot once. I paired my instantpot earlier today. It ran the test and everything seemed fine. Now the app can’t find it and won’t let me pair it again. In order for me to get it to work again. I deleted my account, factory reset the instantpot, and paired it again with the account recreated. This app is unreliable. That’s the selling point of why I wanted this specific product, the control via Wi-Fi.

Soul chef. I have been using this app for about two mouths an you my surprise there have been no attempt to show the southern real way of cooking like fried cabbage with country ham or pig tails an turnip greens or even how to make ox tails in sherry with mushrooms. I enjoy the pot I have three but recipes should have add on sections an a place for the cook to add there own recipes. Thanks again for the product instapot but not all people eat the same give us all variety’s an jerk chicken should be sautéed first then pressure cooked not pressured then sautéed the seasoning is in the broth

Love my Instant Pot -. Most of the recipes are really good - you just need to pay attention to the quantities. I sincerely believe some of the people submitting receipts do not test them first. I have made some of the best soups in my IP. I tried artichokes the other night and will now always use my IP to cook them. The more I experiment with it the more successes I have had. Yay 🥳 The app is glitchy though, sometimes I can post a review, most often I see “server error “ after I’ve taken the time to leave a review. This still is an issue after trying to get IP Customer Service to fix it

Unreliable. Sorry I got this. I bought last year and after many tries finally got it linked to my network. It stopped a few months ago and I got it working again (forgot how I did it) 😞. A few days ago, it lost its way.... again. Cannot get it linked again, despite searching the Internet, for solutions, etc. Seems I am not alone after reading the comments. The “help” from Instapot is to keep trying the same steps suggested thru a clugy unintuitive link, over and over.... What’s that definition of insanity? Do your self a favor, save a few bucks. This tech is rot.

Fixed notifications. Although there could be things that could make it better, the support team reached out to me after my issue and pushed an update that fixed my notifications. I’m not sure how many reached out but it’s great they help and support their clientele!

No Notifications?! What’s the point?!. Why doesn’t the app notify me at different stages? The whole point of spending $150 on this thing was so I could be notified when cooking starts, ends, and when it’s time to manually release, etc. but it appears all the app is good for is starting cooking from my phone instead of pushing buttons on the pot itself. I totally don’t get it. Mind-boggling as to what the point of this is if the app can’t “ding” me so I don’t have to stay close enough to the kitchen to hear the pot itself beep. 🤨

WiFi Is Useless Now. Seems that an update occurred to this app, and the app itself will no longer load the device list, not allow you to add or remove devices. It shows a sever error. The pot is working fine, and connects to the same WiFi network. It’s an app problem. Really bad.

Can’t connect to WiFi. When I got the InstantPot for Christmas 2018, I was able to pair it no problem. It worked fine over 2019 until the update, and now it doesn’t recognize the device anymore. Attempts to re pair, even factory resetting the InstantPot and following directions on the website were unsuccessful. Using iPhone Xs and iOS 13.3.

Server error-Resolved - Good app again. The constant “Server error. Could not load device list”. issue appears to be resolved (and resolved fairly quickly). This has been a good app other than that. We’ll definitely continue to use. The Wi-Fi feature is very convenient.

Unable to connect. When I purchased 2 weeks ago it connected fine. After auto updating firmware inside the app First it lost Time Zone. Then when I tried to reinstall the app ,thinking it may be the reason for the time zone problem, it no longer connects. I reset my router, reset Wifi settings and reset full settings to factory settings in Instant Pot, it still cannot connect . I started thinking somehow new firmware messed up things and no way to change firmware now because i can no longer connect to the device via app. Is Instant Pot Wifi a defective device? There was recent 33% discount in all the stores...Pleas fix

It blows my mind trying to find this app but…. This app works extraordinary better than expected with instant pot. I was really worried about the reviews after purchasing the insta pot with wifi from BestBuy but maybe I got lucky because everything works as I hoped. I am able to start stop device remotely or use pre programmed options on the app. The notification is actually very helpful. There are a lot of small things like this that makes all the difference.

HAS TO BE ONE OF THE WORST APPS. Extremely confusing setup - I am not a network or systems specialist. Doubt many out there are. I did succeed finally with one initial setup. However, once done, after a couple of weeks lost connection from iOS device and Insta Pot. And you get to start all over again. Still have not yet been able to connect - EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. Support is as good as the WIFI connection - null. I would recommend anyone considering this model of Insta Pot - do not spend the extra for the WIFI model. The company seems unprepared for the required technology (device and/or app) and unprepared to support either. I regret my purchase.

Horrible app - can’t connect to instant pot. Spend 45 minutes trying to get the WiFi to work. It just won’t connect. The 2nd app for this is just plain stupid. — UPDATE— Finally got it connected after quite a bit of trying. Started the first recipe and now it is unable to connect via WiFi any more. I seriously was connected for less than 30 minutes before everything disconnected.

App no longer links to device. For the past week, I’ve no longer been able to link to my Instant Pot or even add a new device. This is now defeating the only reason I bought the device. I wish I could roll back to the previous version... 😫

Don’t waste your time. Should be zero stars. There has been no effort to improve as they have implied in other reviews. The worst product I have ever tried with a WiFi control option. Why release something and destroy your reputation if you have not perfected it? Everyone I know loved these things before the WiFi model. I actually never wanted one until my Sister talked me into it. Of course I had to get the best one and wow what a waste of time and money. I would rather buy an expensive model that has had its trial and error done by the manufacturer not the public.

Just doesn’t work. I need to login after not using this for a long time, but none of the sign in links work. Shockingly bad app and completely prevents me from using a device for which I paid extra to get smart features, and only a few years later!

What just happened. I was actually having a really great experience with this app...until I didn’t. In the last week or so I have lost all ability to connect to my WiFi instant pot. Each time I try to see my device I get a server error. Like the other reviewer, I have deleted and downloaded the app multiple times but to no avail. I also factory reset my intent pot. Notta! I sure hope you get this fixed. Not useful in its current state.

Unacceptable. I find it completely unacceptable that IP no longer supports the Bluetooth versions of the IP. I’m not buying a new one when my current pot works perfectly fine just to get any form of remote control. How hard would it be to leave BT connectivity in the app, seriously! If/when I need a new one I will not be purchasing an Instant Pot!

Can’t find my device - ARGH. I purchased the Instant pot for Christmas and then put it away. I wanted to use it tonight with WiFi control. After resting my online account password I was able to get into my app. But it is unable to get to my device. Seriously? Why do I need an Internet account to run my instant put at home? I paid extra for this and now I can only operate it from the panel. Frustrating. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!

This app just doesn’t work.. When it’s working, it’s a cool and easy way to cook a variety of recipes, but the app so frequently tells me that my instant pot is offline, it’s just a headache, and I’ve stopped using the app.

The Absolute Worst. Besides the fact that this should be integrated into the main Instant Pot app, it just does not work. Wi-fi connection does not work, making the app absolutely worthless. Between this and the main app, I’m guessing that none of the designers or programmers ever had a UI/UX design course, and it shows. It’s as bad as iTunes, but at least that will actually work after a lengthy time figuring out how to accomplish anything; this app doesn’t work at all. Easily the worst app I have ever downloaded.

Requires location?? For what?. If I can make this app No stars, I would. It requires accessing location before you can setup wifi??? What for? So, they collect your wifi password and SSID plus location. Ok? For what purpose? Geo location to see your market? Garbage! App deleted! The app can’t also determine whether you are connecting to 2.4ghz or 5ghz, it will just not work. Just deleted the app

Can’t log into my account. I can no longer log into my account. I submitted a request for assistance a month ago and never got a response. I submitted another request for assistance about 2 weeks ago and was told there is a server problem they’re working to correct. Still no resolution. Therefore I’m unable to utilize the smart features on my Instant Pot! I paid more for the WiFi enabled model and actually own 2 of them. But since I cannot log into the app, the products I have now are no better than the standard model Instant Pots I gave away when I purchased the “smart” version.

What a bait and switch. I bought this version thinking it would be nice to have it notify me when things are done etc. but should have read the reviews first. The app doesn’t work at all- and my instapot was missing the condenser tray.

Please fix this app. The UI for this app is terrible. The way to connect a device to the app and wifi is incredibly complicated and will not work. Every time results in connection error despite me having a 2.4 wifi signal. The whole point of having a wifi enabled device is to be able to connect and control it for ease and that is a function not accessible with this app/device. Also why not have just one app that can share recipes and control devices.

Dropping recipes. I enjoy the instant pot and the app. However somewhere when the WiFi upgrade was added to the app you dropped some great recipes (i.e. steel cut oatmeal with apples and cinnamon). Is each recipe that large you can’t keep the originals when adding new recipes.

Absolutely Useless!!. I still have my 6-Qt, non-remote-controlled Instant Pot. Until you totally F***ed-Up the app for the original cookers, it was fine. I had a few of my own recipes in my Favorites and I could access them quite easily. Now I can't even sign into the app to access my own recipes. Thank you so much. Not! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

No idea what is Smart about it. Instant Pot, you scored an F. It does not pair. I even separated the 2.5GHz and 5GHz to two SSIDs. I would give this app zero if Apple allowed it. I program web enabled embedded devices, if Instant Pot’s ‘developers’ need some direction I’d be happy to assist; $$ rate tbd. We need one App (Recipes, Device Configure, Device Control, Account details, Promos etc).

Absolute Joke. I’d go with negative stars if I could. I’ve wasted WAY TOO MUCH TIME trying to connect this thing. I had it connected for a short time, can’t get it back. I love the instant pot, but this software is going to be uninstalled and forgotten about. Wish I hadn’t wasted the money or time in this useless feature and software. *Update* Still a joke. Apparently no attempts to make this expensive, nonfunctional option to the Instant Pot work. Just a headache and waste of time

Worst app. How can one review an app that does not work .. keeps shutting down after opening. Too bad as the instant pot is a great cooking utensil.

Recipes missing. Some of my favourite recipes are missing from your app after the update. I wish I saved them. Not happy.

No connection. I al trying to connect with my newly bought Instant Pot Smart WiFi. I am sent back and forth to the same settings. It’s a vicious circle. I am told to connect to a 2.4 GHz network. Done. Then, I am told to connect to the Instant Pot. Done. Once I am connected to the Instant Pot - I am told again that I need fact to be connected to a 2.4 GHz network. Again, done. Then I am told to connect to the Instant Pot. Again, done. .......

Not functional Most of the Time. I had a glitch, or so I thought, of not staying signed in recently. But I took many approaches before I finally got back in again; it was time consuming and ridiculous, apparently random I eventually got in with the same sign-in info. I wanted to see my own recipe notes, in particular, but the app appeared to have not only signed me out, but later, erased my notes. Then they did appear ... so weird and definitively annoying. I used the app a couple of times, including last evening to look for this evening’s dinner prospect. Favourited it and didn’t take much further note, expecting to be at my fingertips tonight. however, the app is back to having signed me out and then claiming my password is wrong. IT IS NOT! I use 1Password, and nothing has changed to what worked yesterday/last week. But I cannot get to my saved/favourited recipes. Instant Pot, you have/had brilliant physical product developers and a great kitchen tool for home cooks. But it is time to get serious about your app design and development. This is not on ... search results are inadequate, same search one day apparently turns up vastly different number of results the next day, for e.g., so what gives? You made out like the app would help, but it barely scrapes into that with all the oddities and noted dysfunction. I want to like this app, but it is simply not likeable. Until re-developed/fixed, I say, IP company please fix this. And dear review readers, don’t waste your time downloading and installing it.

Very informative but hard to navigate. It has the good content but the scrolling is a nightmare; every time I scroll it always leads me to some unintended page. Plus, the UI is awful, it doesn’t look great on iPhone X as some top and bottom part gets cut off from the screen.

Would love an “I made it” section added. Great app with lots of recipes. I like that I can add comment, make my grocery list and access my favorite recipes but I would love a different section for those I have already tried (based on the “I made it” button).

Used to work. After last iOS update, it no longer can find my devices. Very frustrating since this is why I purchased this model.

Where did my recipes go!? EDIT. Jan 5/20 - With the launch of the replacement app (which happens to be terrible), all of my saved recipes with notes have returned. I am very happy because the answer I got from support was deplorable. It was basically “Tough. This is what the deal is now, but you probably screwed up somehow.” Nice. At any rate, screen shots have been made and I’m transferring them too. I had about a dozen saved, complete with modifications, and they are gone except 4!!! Explain yourselves!!! I see that Amy + Jacky recipes are no longer there. Are you actively blocking them? Pay to display format? If so, I’ll just straight up delete the app, find all the recipes online, and write them down with mods on a cue card like my Granny did.

App won’t allow login. Everytime I try to login, the app tells me I have a server error. Tried resetting me password, and still no response. I can’t connect my phone to the instant pot at all, so this is useless.

Waste of time. Ask for passwords says its incorrect, so creat account say already have an account. Rince and repeat over and over. Dont wast your time

Remote control does not work with iOS 13.5. I have just bought my IP, I spent hours trying to set up it with my iPhone 11, if it continues to fail, i’ll bring back my IP to the store.

Please update not connecting. Waste of time doesn’t connect at all please fix it you guys are such a loved brand please don’t let me down by purchasing this

What Happened to Landscape Orientation?. I’ve been using this app for a couple of years without issue. However with the most recent updates the landscape orientation has been removed. My iPad will not stand on my counter while I am cooking in portrait, it only stands in landscape. Please reinstate landscape view and I’ll be glad to reinstate a five star review. Your other app, “Instant Pot”, only has landscape view, but it is missing some of my favourite recipes when I log in and they don’t appear when I search for them either. The other drawback with it is that you cannot add notes on adaptations you’ve made to a recipe, like you can with “Remote Control....”.

Great recipes!. It’s our go-to for InstaPot recipes... haven’t been disappointed yet!

A pain to use! Might as well buy another brand!. This remote app is a real pain to use. Not only are the recipes extremely limited, but annoying to navigate!! The categories and filters are not helpful, just make it more of a pain to find a recipe! The separate instant pot recipe app is actually decent to navigate. Why can’t this remote app just model itself after that one with the functionality of pairing? It’s frustrating to think about why this isn’t being done. I bought the Wi-Fi instant pot thinking it would be simple and easier to cook with the instant pot. After finding the complete opposite, there really is no pros to buying instant pot. Any other brand will do since it can do all the same things with the same recipes. Disappointed.

Hire someone competent. The app is so poorly designed; it seems like they hired random people from a tech college then gave them a few hours to work on it. It's embarrassing they even advertised they had an app on the box. The person that signed off on this probably struggles to use their email, that's being generous.

Great online app for recipes. I have already saved about 15 recipes in my favourites. I like the comments field. I refer to others comments on all recipes and write my own reviews. I like that there are so many recipes and they are easy to search for.

Lid close error. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! I bought the Smart Wifi Instapot for the Sous Vide feature and it’s potential for accurate temperature control and am forced to fudge with another setting as the app feels that the lid is not closed properly, yet it works fine using the controls on the pot. ARGHHH

Frustrating. First server keeps crashing when I tried to sign up for it. Category part of the app won’t load And not very many recipes, I don’t even know if there is a point of keeping this app

Terrible. Bought a smart wifi instantpot just for the wifi option and it’s a total waste. The app never works! It constantly disconnects to the point where I can no longer connect at all. Can’t load my device. Past few days it’s been showing an error msg and unable to load my smart instant ppt although I keep getting notifications when I use the pot. I am unable to access through the phone though. Please advise

Yikes! That’s it!?. Why bother having an app if this is it? It’s just a small collection of average recipes. I downloaded it in the hopes that it would provide some interesting support for my instant pot sous vide but I am thoroughly disappointed.

Where can I see the recipe intructions?. This app is not user friendly at all.

Un indispensable!. Honnêtement, en achetant un instant pot je ne pensais pas que ça me convaincrait autant! Les recettes de l’app sont simples et tellement goûteuses! C’est un bonheur d’appuyer sur « cook now » et d’avoir un plat pleins de saveurs près en moins de 20min. On mange mieux et plus sain ! Juste un peu frustrée que l’app soit entièrement en anglais et qu’il n’y ait pas de version française...

Won’t let me create an account. I have tried many times to creat an account so I can view and try some recipes but it keeps telling me I’m not allowed to create new users. Pretty useless app if I can’t view the recipes unless I create an account, then when I try to create an account it tells me I’m not allowed to. I give this app a “FAIL” ZERO STARS so ignore the 1 star as I have to select a star in order to post my comments

Server Error - Can’t load device list. This was a nice little app (when it was working) where you could control the wifi Instapot using your iPhone, but it has been broken for the past week and showing the above error message. Maybe because the app needs to be updated/compatible with the latest iOS version? Not sure. Please fix!!!

Unresponsive. The Instant Pot is one magnificent product, but that doesn't mean that its app is. Recipes do not load when tapped, although if you tap repeatedly, you might get a few to actually show up. For the most part though, you won't be able to load the recipes. It's hard to believe that this app was approved for the App Store. Doesn't anyone test these things?

Horrible UX. - As you scroll through recipe lists the app keeps thinking you tapped a recipe. You’ll spend half your time pressing the back button in frustration. - I wish recipes mentioned the exact date it was posted to help me determine if it’s new to me or not. This would help me when I sort by ‘date added’.

Could be so much better. With a bit of supporter from instant brands, this app would be amazing. Where is the ability to create our own recipes/ scripts. On your website you mention it’s a feature that will be available but so far I don’t see it. It could be great to edit the recipes too. And share them. Why aren’t you releasing Alexa and google assistant skills that are actually available in the US ?

I'm just so very done.. I got my instant pot in 2018 and at that time, the app had massive accessibility issues. I'm totally blind and I rely on this app to look at settings on my instant pot, so this is a problem. Contacted them several times, nothing. Fast forward to now: I was trying to make an absolutely delicious Indian recipe. I'd just gotten a phone replacement, and the app had logged me out as a result. Fine, Ill just log back in. Nope. Whenever I enter my password, I get "There was a server error. Please try again later.""What kind of server error? Is the password wrong? Is the server down? Does my account not exist? GIVE ME AN ERROR CODE! I'M A WEB DESIGNER! JUST GIVE ME THE GODDAMN ERROR!" Nope. So, there I sat with my food ready to go, and with no way to actually set the pressure cooker. I decided to try reinstalling the app. This didn't help (sorry, spoiler alert) but it did tell me a lot of things. 1. The app has a whopping 2.25 stars in Canada! I don't know if I've ever seen a rating that bad. 2. One of the first reviews is from over a year ago, from a user who had the exact same issue I did--server error when logging in. So apparently, this has been a thing for over a year and IP still hasn't managed to fix it. 3. I had to actually search for "remote Control for Smart Wi-fi." If I search for ïnstant pot"or anything like that, I don't find the app. How does this stupid thing not have ïnstant pot"somewhere in its name? Look, I get that I'm being petty, but I'm straight out of the kitchen after fighting with this stupid, stupid app, a can opener that couldn't, the pot itself, and life in general. I'm just done. I had to video chat a friend just to set my own instant pot. Why the hell did I buy this ridiculously expensive smart device if the smart part doesn't even work? I get that I could connect it with Alexa or Google, and I didn't think of that at the time, but that would be bypassing the app entirely so it still deserves one star. Get your crap together.

App Stopped Working. App just stopped working. It says “server error. cannot access device list” suppppper frustrating.

App not accessible for blind people. What a great idea, a WiFi compatible Instant Pot ,except the app to use it is not compatible with Apple voice over.

No server access.. This used to work great. I’m guessing the server was shut down since I can’t log in anymore. I tried the “Instant Brand” app but that only wants to connect to a new IP Pro. No wonder they filed for bankruptcy.

Returned. Crap app and I lost the ability to log in after a while. Got the air fryer version without the WiFi instead.

Crap. Can’t connect to the WiFi for the pot. The instructions are useless. Don’t waste your money buying this pot.

Cannot login-server error. Ridiculous. Cannot login for few days now.

Update broke my connection. Now all I get is a ‘server error. Cannot load device list’ which I can’t seem to get rid of. Cannot connect with device = useless app.

WiFi access no longer works.. It used to work great. Now the WiFi no longer works and is basically useless as a smart device. By a cheap manual instant pot instead.

Useless. Doesn’t even let you sign in anymore, and in order to connect my Instant Pot I have to sign in.

You wrecked a perfectly good recipe app. By making your app supposedly “smart”, you bloated an app that was perfectly fine for just recipes... not all of us even have the bluetooth instant pot!

Doesn’t Connect to Wifi. Awful user experience and terrible troubleshooting options. It won’t connect t because it’s an unsecured wifi. Major bummer…

Server error. This app is the worst app i could possibly use. I dont know why i bought their device if they cant even update the app to atleast reset the password and then reenter my info. It keeps saying server error.

Error server over and over. Complete waste of time. Worked great before. Now with this new app can’t see the device and can’t even add it.

Instant pot recipe app. Getting the account set up was a bit tricky but once I did that the airports great.

Works fine to control instant pot, why all the hate?. This app used to be integrated with the main instant pot app. I’m not sure why it was separated, but likely because only one of their products has WiFi and is smart. I must say I LOVE my instant pot. And I ALSO LOVE the fact that it’s smart. This app allows me to control the pot while anywhere in the house. I get notifications when the meal is ready, and can turn off the keep warm function remotely. Which is very nice. I’d hate to lose this ability. I’ve had my instant pot for a few years now, and u defat and the WiFi smart pot replaced the Bluetooth one. It makes sense to me, as Bluetooth connectivity wouldn’t give me this remote functionality I like very much. I never had issues setting up or changing my network functions. It’s always worked fine. So either I’m lucky or something else is happening to the people who claim to be unable to set up their pots. Take a deep breath, try again. I promise you if it works for me it is possible it can work for you too. And yes, is this the *best design* for an app? No. But instant pot is first and foremost a kitchen appliances maker, not an app developer. And only one of their long line of products uses this app. And as far as usability, I have no issues with it: I know exactly where to go to control my instant pot remotely. And when I get a notification even on Lock Screen telling me something is ready, I touch it and it opens the app on my pot controls. Beautiful! That’s all I need, no complaints! I would hate to see this app discontinued and this evolution of the instant pot lost. If you ask me, *all* instant pots should be smart! It makes sense, it’s useful, and why step backwards? So please instant pot, please keep this app running. And haters, please calm down! It’s already hard to find this app on the App Store these days I’ve noticed, and I really don’t want it to disappear!

Impossible to connect to wifi using app. So I deleted the app- what a waste of time

Frustrated to say the least. Will not load my insta pot. Says there is a server error. No option to remove it and repair. This app is garbage. Thanks for nothing.

shockingly inaccessible. I am genuinely shocked and upset by this app. I specifically purchased my instant pot because I have had friends talk about not only how amazing it is, but how accessible it is through the application. I have seen one of my friends use the Bluetooth one with his phone, and he loves it! This app however, is a completely different story. I can’t even click on one single thing with voiceover, and when I specifically bought the Instant pot Wi-Fi version because of the accessibility features, it’s incredibly upsetting to see that they weren’t even a consideration when they have been in the past. I even went through the set up process before ordering the product itself so that I could make sure this would work fine. And it did, until after I ordered my instant pot and completed the set up process, at which point this became unusable. Please, please, please, please, please, fix your app!!! I would hate to have to return my purchase, but I can’t justify keeping it at this point. I would have NEVER bought the instant pot if I had known the app was going to be like this.

Latest version lost my login info. I'm no longer able to recover my login info

App doesn’t function. Unable to log into my old account or make a new one on a different phone. The app isn’t fine tuned and is impossible to maneuver.

Definitely the buggiest app I’ve ever downloaded. I think the UX team on this app is trying to frustrate customers. Unstable, confusing, horribly constructed app makes it terribly inconvenient to use.

Stopped working. The app stopped connecting to my Instant Pot, and will no longer let me sign in so I can reconnect it.

App stopped working. After the recent upgrade to the App, it has stopped working for us. This is ridicules that instant pot company can’t fix the app. The app keep clocking and doesn’t do anything. We can’t control the instant pot from app anymore. Can you please fix the app.

Looks Promising, sadly it needs a lot of work.. This app appears to be very usedfull, however after using it to make a recipe I thinks it needs a lot of work. The 3 main things that are in the way of making this a functioning app are: #1-the list of ingredients and amounts used are on one page, you must touch the screen to go to the cooking instructions and then it is back & forth, touching the screen each time, making a mess out of your screen. Very user unfriendly IMHO. #2- No ability to print the recipe out, why? This is a deal breaker for me. (I prefer not to have my iPad in the middle of my cooking area). #3- No ability to make notes on the recipe as to any changes made to the recipe or to note how well it worked out. Again, why? There are a few more things about this app that make difficult in my opinion but these 3 are the most problematic. At first glance I was impressed until I actually tried to use it. I won’t delete it yet, hopefully the team will get this app up to speed to make me want to try it out again.

best appliance, worst app. from delayed messages to cluttered and crap designed screens etc. worst app ever. Hard to pair and amateur programming it is the worst app ever and untrustworthy.

Pairing with WiFi is needlessly complicated. It won't connect with my perfectly good wifi netwirk. Useless as hell.

App update does not work. Unfortunately the app update you said would fix the connectivity issues does not work. Should have left well enough alone. Very sad.
