Don’t Make Me Change to a “NEW” version. I just read up on the information guiding current users to adopt the new “Renpho Health” app as this one will be phased out.... I already looked at the preview for the new app and can tell it will not offer me the ease and simplicity I’m currently enjoying. What I love about this app is the straightforward design and the detailed scan information all in one glance! The new app has too much extra elements that are not applicable to me, which will muddle the view of information I’d care about. For people who have a collection of your various products, the new app may be preferred, but I think I wouldn’t stand alone in saying that the independent and respective apps your customers have been using should still be accessible. I’m sad to say, but I’m more likely to discontinue use of my Renpho scale altogether if I’m forced to change the app - I might just be better off giving this away and starting from scratch with a different provider.

Wifi..where are you?. I am trying to use the app with an Es-BR001 scale and the docs say that after I connect Bluetooth and take a measurement the app will ask me to connect wifi. Or, I am supposed to be able to go under device mgmt and set it up. The app never asks me about wifi and the entry in device management doesn’t have the wifi icon like they say it should and I can’t click on it. So, I can’t setup wifi and actually test this out. I’ll probably delete the app and send the scale back. Update: I have completed all the steps from the developer response, but the scale never shows a wifi icon and never prompts me to enter wifi information. I have 1 user in the app and completed a BT pairing and then sync. Still nothing.

Scale with App. Had the scale and accompanying app for about three days now. Really like the features and ease of use once you get it set up. Downside is the setup. First the pairing is wonky as heck. It takes you through one through some steps that seem totally unnecessary and then, never does tell you that you’ve successfully paired. I went through the whole process twice just to make sure. The second issue was measurement preferences...I selected “lb” in settings and then had strange “st” read outs that took me a bit to sort out. Once those issues were sorted, usage was easy and we look forward to many years of usage.

Good scale but charts need work. The reading from scale transfers well to the application, but what is up with the tiny chart axis markings?! There is a lots of room to have a larger size fonts… I can’t read these even with reading glasses. The x axis needs to show proper distribution when you weigh yourself. If you take 6 arbitrary readings in a year, show x axis with 12 months evenly spaced apart then place dots with actual date when you do readings. I skipped 3 months of weighing and it shows on a chart like I lost weight in a single month... very misleading trend presentation. Obviously, same logic fixes are needed for weekly readings. Disappointing, since it’s such an easy fix. Each user is better off to write a number into excel table, tied to a chart.

Disappointed good if you are “average”,bad if you are not. I got this about 4 months ago, weight 194 body fat by RENPHO was 23%, body fat by 9 point caliper measurement was 22.5%. 3 months later weight 170, body fat by RENPHO 20.4%, by 9 point caliper 12.5%. Now 4 months out weight 172, 9 point caliper 10.9% body fat. Body metrics of arms, thighs, chest and waist indicate weight gain is muscle. Strength gains would indicate this as well, as do before and after pics. RENPHO reads all weight gain as increase in fat and reads skeletal muscle as decreasing. I have emailed them twice and get crickets. I am 57 and wonder if RENPHO is using averages for age rather than actual measurements which is wrong. Also I gained 10 pounds in 24 hours by changing the battery. BOTTOM LINE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Feature request. I have the scale and the tape measure. Super happy with both! I just wish that I could also add wrist and ankle measurements in the app. Maybe for most people those don’t change much, but mine do. Very excellent products and money well spent. I was paying an expensive membership fee mostly for the monthly inBody scans... this isn’t as in depth as that, but it’s much more affordable and i can justify spending on a comprehensive scan every 6ish months if I want more information. This does just fine for my daily/weekly/monthly self tracking. I still see and measure progress well enough for my needs.

Friends feature suggestion. Great app, especially for the weight/scale. For the circumference/body tape, I feel like descriptions similar to what was done in the weight (whether our values are low, average, or high for our age group) would improve its value to the customer. One area where I feel this app lags is with the friends feature. Though you can add friends and see their stats, there is no easy way to compare our stats to our friends (ie. viewing both on the same screen). Scrolling through friends stats without a point of reference (ie. our own stats) makes the experience less meaningful or worth doing. I’ve found it fun to compare my measurements with other friends and family members and feel like the ability to view our stats along with theirs on the same page would greatly add to the functionality of the app.

Fix the horizontal axis scaling please!!!!!!. I love this app it helps me keep my body in check. The horizontal axis on the trends tab is split in equal units currently as opposed to counting days in-between as null. This means unless I use the scale daily I will not completely understand what I’m looking at from a date’s perspective. It would be great if you could add those missing days back in, make the points a different color on the chart to represent them as artificial dates, and use a smooth line transition between the two actual data points. That would make the trends tab so much more enjoyable to use. Please make this change!

Works well. My wife and I got this scale as a Christmas gift from our daughter. We decided to start intermittent daily fasting on 1/1/20 to lose a few pounds. After using it for 2 weeks we really like the scale and app. Having our weight and other info automatically updated on our phones is fantastic. It’s great to see our weight changes and the trends graph. Besides weight it also tracks other body measurements. Clicking on these shows where you are compared to “normal”. It’s really has help us learn more about our bodies and has lead us to discussing what we eat and when we eat to reach our weight and body fat goals.

Only minor bugs - fantastic otherwise!!. When you first set up your account - which I had no trouble with - you select units. I selected lbs for weight/mass. When I did my first weigh, though, the app was showing #st#lb. People don't realize that st means stone, which is 14 lb. It's not used in the U.S., but it is still used in the U.K. It is still a form of measurement with lbs. Then I realized the app didn't save my unit setting correctly when I set it up, so I just went back in and set it to lbs again, and it held. A little bit of patience to locate and check the unit settings could have made this app a better experience for other reviewers who didn't know what st meant. This app communicates seamlessly with LoseIt and Fitbit and Apple Health. I no longer have to enter my weight or any other of the metrics manually anywhere. THAT is impressive. Fitbit doesn't even bother doing this! My biggest concern would be that connectivity, and Renpho works just as I hoped it would. The measurements and values themselves are consistent with a recent body composition analysis I had at my gym. The app is aesthetically pleasing, and you can choose your color scheme. Most of the screens and accessing data and charts are fairly straightforward. You can even look at trends based on time of day of the measurements. I'm very pleased with both the app and the scale.

WAS pretty good. Somewhere around mid December ‘18 my Apple health app started (seemingly) randomly logging 1850 calories burned in a single hour under the Resting Energy tab. This is about 1700 calories more than any other hour of the day. I couldn’t figure it out because it didn’t happen everyday and when it did it only logged this spike 1 time per day. I searched high and low in Apple help pages, scoured the internet, deleted all other Health-linked apps and nothing. No answers anywhere. Until Now. Today I checked my Resting Energy in the Health app and all was normal. I took a shower, weighed myself and just happened to check my Resting Energy... you guessed it, that hour showed a 1800 calorie spike. I went back and checked everyday for the last 3 months. Every day from December 18th through today was flawed-when I used this scale and app to weigh myself I got the 1800 calorie spike. Everyday that I skipped weighing myself, the health app behaved perfectly normal. Before December 18th, the scale, the app and the Health app played nicely. I’m guessing that they had a bug in an update somewhere around December 18th that has yet to be fixed. Bummer, I only chose this scale because of its ability to sync with Apple Health. I hope they fix soo. So I can update my rating.

Easy to set up needs some sound personalization. This was super simple to set up. The data it gives is helpful too. The scale connecting via Bluetooth is a great feature. The only thing I cannot stand is the sound it makes when it is done weighing. You only have a choice to have it make the sound or no sound at all. It would be nice to have a choice of sounds (note the plurality). The current sound honestly sounds like it's communicating that "you're a dunce and messed up-as in, gained weight, you idiot" even when you lose weight! Other than that, great scale, nice to have app to keep track of your progression.

Review of the app with the scale-Bluetooth pairing with the scale. The most confusing part of the setup of the scale that this app is for is the Bluetooth pairing. You have to pair with the scale from inside the app. Not from the Bluetooth setting of your IPhone. What is really strange is that even after the app is connected with the scale, the iPhone Bluetooth setting does not acknowledge that it is paired with the scale! The 2nd crazy thing that happened to me was that my weight was registered as an odd number with "st" in the middle! It was puzzling. I learned later from reading an earlier review that "st" is short for Stone which is a unit of measure for weight in the United Kingdom! I had to go back in the app settings and set weight unit to lbs. Even though I remember that I had selected lbs initially. After you overcome these hurdles you will most likely like the product. Three stars for the problematic initial setup.

Needs improvement. There is a “trends” page that you can look at and an option to check the scale measurements for a single day. I looked at one of the days and there were multiple entries. I tried to “select all” to delete the extra entries for that one single day and it turns out that the app deletes every entry for every day, the entire history. Not just the day you were currently looking at. There isn’t a recovery or restore or a “trash” area to go to to reset back. Why design an app page looking at several individual entries and have it delete entries you aren’t currently viewing? Why isn’t there a restore? Why isn’t there a trash? App designers could do better. I sent an email requesting assistance, no response. Maybe I will get help after leaving a review.

Easy to use, lots of metrics. I am loving my RENPHO scale and have been using it for about a month to measure my fitness efforts to lose fat. My favorite things about it are the metrics showing my place in the range of healthy values, and the charts. I wish the graphs would capture and show muscle mass over time. One area people who are losing weight are very concerned about is how much weight they’re losing is fat versus muscle. Everyone wants to lose fat and gain muscle. It also helps encourage dieters who may not be losing weight but see that they are gaining muscle. Skeletal muscle on the graph view is not as important to me and could be eliminated in my opinion if needed. I think if you added the muscle mass weight graph view this would be a 5 Star app. Thank you for helping me with my weight loss goals!

It works well enough!. I wouldn’t really know how accurate it is because I have no point of comparison. But I like the convenience and connectivity of the scale connected to the app and the app connected to my native Health app. So in that aspect it deserves more than a 3 star rating. What I would like to see happen is the ability to select whether or not one is pregnant. During my pregnancy I’ve gained 20 lbs. So it kind of skews the numbers. Yes my baby only weighs approximately 4 lbs at this point in pregnancy but once I give birth and all the fluid and such exit my body along with the baby, I’ll be lighter in weight much more than just the eventual 7-9 lb baby later on.

Good Scale readings a bit Quirky. Just got the scale this past Saturday and though I’m still overweight I have been exercising regularly over the past few months. So I first tried “athlete” mode and I had only lost 1.1 lbs from when I weighed myself from the previous week, which was kinda surprising because I had started keto and I did more steps I had done ever over the past few months of working out. So I switched it over to “regular” mode and the scale dropped an additional 2.5 lbs!!!🤔 So I’m confused as to how switching the mode of this scale actually changes your weight! I’m pretty sure peoples weight is the same regardless of athlete or regular mode 🤷🏽‍♀️. Body fat %, muscle mass, etc should change but it doesn’t change what you actually weigh! So after switching to regular mode everything is great, I love that it syncs to my fitbit that’s so awesome! But if you are using athlete mode know that you’re almost 3 lbs lighter than the scale is reading. Please fix this RENPHO.

Slightly Disappointed. Whereas this scale is pretty cool if you are JUST losing fat, if you are trying to gain MUSCLE, it will just record that you are getting fatter, not more muscular. I am a guy who used this scale to rip down to 170lbs and for that, it was awesome. Problem was, I wanted to use the NEXT two months (same low carb diet) to hit the weights HARD so that any weight I gained... I knew would be muscle. No bueno. According to this scale, the first week, I gained 2 lbs of fat and THAT was discouraging because I am ripped and could SEE the muscle gain. Very optimistically skeptical in the beginning to even think that this company could calculate all of that data simply from the bottoms of your feet but that IS how they marketed it so slightly disappointed that I can’t use it the way it was marketed.

UPDATE: Scale and app work great!!!. I can now enter my body part measurements manually!!!! That was a fast response to my original critique! Thanks Renpho! Now if it would be possible to add in the ability keep track of body measurements for both left and right thighs, calves and biceps would be great to allow a focus on symmetry as well. Original review: Scale works but app has some glitches I was so excited to receive my new scale, especially for the body fat measurements. I was pleasantly surprised to see an option to input and keep track of circumference measurements of different body parts i.e. waist, thigh etc. Alas, the app does not let me input a value for these because the scrolling measuring tape at the bottom does not work. So far, I really like the scale but the app not working fully is a disappointment. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Great app!!. No issues so far over about a month of use. It syncs up for my wife and I separately on separate phones for the same scale. It looks like a lot of the negative reviews are from years ago, but it has been a great product so far. I am unclear about what “athlete” mode is, but since I run and work out 5 days a week, I put that on and it changed certain measurements. Maybe it changes the BMR? Who knows but I would like more descriptions on that cause it definitely changes things. Other than that, great up!!

Not all areas function. I have had the app for one week and have used it daily. I can keep track of my weight loss and how it pertains to visceral fat, bone, muscle and water weight. It even gives a metabolic age. It was an easy set up and works beautifully with my scale. I was very excited entering all the information, however, I cannot enter physical measurements. The needle won’t move on any of the body parts listed on the app to mark it’s measurement. I have reached out the the developers twice via in app messages and still have not heard anything. It’s been working great, I just wish I could keep track of my body inches as well to get a full picture.

Does not work as well as I thought.. I bought this scale 3 years back used it few times. I dig it. Its been a while so I decided to scale myself again. It shows that I’ve gained some pounds which I’m motivated to shred it off. I normally work out 5 days a week but understood that I could be more careful with my intake. I been keeping up with my calories and macros. I even workout 6x a week or even workout 2x a day (once a twice) through out the week. I also prep my meals for the week. I gave it a month before I hop on the scale again. I feel great and I look great, but I was a bit disappointed when I check my weight this morning. I was not disappointed at myself but i believe this scale and app is not accurate. The percentage of my body fat on the app was higher than a month before! Hmmmm.... I honestly don’t think I will use this app anymore.

Sadly disappointed. I purchased this scale because it came with an app and it seemed like so many amazing benefits. For quite some time I’ve been disappointed because I’ve attempted to go back and pull up my stats from when I first begin my journey to compare it to where I am now and I am not able to do so. It would be great if when I went back to the date I first started, my previous stats would pop up on the main screen, for me to review and possibly screen shot if I’d like to, the same way my current stats are displayed. I guess it’s just wishful thinking or I’ll need to purchase a new scale with this type of capabilities. I really don’t want to have to do that. I hope it’s just a minor update you guys are able to add or adjust to the app. If so I would continue to be a loyal customer and purchase more scales and items to come! I’d also change my 1 star to a 5 star!

Fixed!. Updated Review: The developer added that ability to manually input measurements into the app. It is a sleek nice looking scale and now measures weight and BMI. ************************************************** I was excited when I ordered this smart scale that not only would it allow me to monitor my weight but would also be able to monitor metrics and BMI. It looks good and the Bluetooth set up went pretty well and so did the app set up. Then it my took me forever to understand that I am unable to put my body measurements into the app to allow calculation of these. After reading other reviews I find that I the app does not allow manual input of measurements and I need to purchase a smart measuring device. Nothing in the description of this item mention that I need this additional device. I feel duped especially after waiting so long to receive this scale. So now the only use I have of it is for weight. Will this ever be fixed?

Review. This app is gold if you actually use it to measure body fat and muscle weight (along with the other metrics) over time and how you feel with regard to well being around weight health. A lot of the low reviews don’t have any extrapolation on why. I do think one can take stats too far but if you can thread the needle and understand your body is more than just fat or a black and white number on the scale then you will enjoy the measurements and change in body composition as you lift heavier, use cardio and eating habits appropriately.

Fabricated metrics & UI Needs Improvement. The 12 or so metrics besides weight are just your weight scaled & rounded a bit. They are all directly correlated. E.g. even if you weight lift and gain mostly muscle, it will say your body fat has increased because your weight increased. Having those other metrics when the scale is most definitely not capable of measuring them (e.g visceral fat & bone mass) is deceitful. The trend graphs don’t use a linear scale. The tick marks on the x axis are each day you added a measurement which is not very useful for seeing progress over time. The x axis scale should be a linear range of dates so the space between measurements corresponds with the time between them. Edit: They did fix the bug where when tapping the left tab, the screen slides to the right and vice versa.

Body fat option only please!. I love this scale. BUT I wish there was a way to not see your weight and only your body fat. Although I know it’s not 100% accurate and just a rough estimate on body fat I really wish there was a body fat ONLY option. I wish you could close your eyes on the scale but have the app set up to only have the stats you want to see. Like I would have the main number in the circle my body fat. Then I would check the boxes that have the stats I want to keep track of like BMI and muscle mass. My weight fluctuates so much I’d love to just track BF only. Might keep me from smashing it to pieces one day. Lol

Terrible Update - Revised. The update eventually happened, but the scale reads different weights within seconds of attempting another weigh-in. My husband has had 10 lb fluctuations in his weight all within 5 minutes. Depending on where the scale is placed, we weigh more or less. I gave this two extra stars from my original review since the scale now works, but that’s relative. Old review: I typically update all of my apps when notified. This update was for “minor bug fixes,” but the problem is it will not update and now has just rendered my scale useless. I’ll change my review once the update happens and works. Until then, I’m thinking a scale with Bluetooth capabilities may have been a waste of money.

It’s a ballpark estimator. I’ve used Renpho app/BT scale for 2 years now. The measurements of BMI, Body fat %, and metabolic age are all estimates. Have you ever looked at the charts that say you should be a certain weight for your height and thought it was an unreal expectation? I have. I’m 6ft tall and 215lbs. According to those same charts, unless I weight 170lbs, I am categorically considered “Overweight”. I have 35lbs of extra muscle on me and that isn’t considered or adjusted to the archaic measuring system. I have to drop from 169lbs of muscle mass to the “Normal” range of 109lbs-131lbs to have a “Healthy/normal” rating. The body fat % is easily 5% off. I have had Professional’s measure me and tell me I am 10/11% body fat vs Renpho telling me I have 17.6%bf. My experience is to use the scale just for the historical measurements and weight loss charting. I like that it graphs everything into a timeline so I can look back and see my weight gain/loss patterns. I wish they would have more advanced calculations to be more accurate for my height/weight/fitness.

Regularly loses sign in info used in guest mode.. I will end up returning this. The scale essentially only functions as a weight scale without the app, which I will only agree to use in guest mode given the privacy terms they lay out in their agreement. It doesn’t stay logged in and locks my login out after a few days, never to be retrieved again since their password recovery option doesn’t appear to work (even though I use 1Password and know I have the correct info). There is no true guest mode. When you download the app your choices are sign up or sign in, and there is no way to see information without giving an email and password. That is not a “guest” mode. Not sure it even matters to use a fake email, since password recovery only seems to work if you have a full account, not guest. The idea that my whole family would have to share a single device paired with this scale has been more of a pain than I initially thought. So everyone has lost their data 3 times in the short time we have owned the scale.

This scale is awesome. I just received this scale - it shipped super fast. Not sure why people may have had an issue installing the batteries, it’s very easy, just push down the little door, install batteries (included), push door up. Done. You can easily find and download the app in the App Store. Pairing the device took no more than 3 tries. You have to get the timing right (start pairing the device, when you see it show up on the screen, step on the scale and THEN tap the device icon. If you do the sequence correctly, it’s seamless) Yes, at first it showed my weight in stones, but it’s so easy to switch between measurement units that I wouldn’t even have mentioned this as an “issue”. At first it only showed my weight and BMI, but then I realized you have to step on the scale with your bare feet so the sensors can scan you for the rest of the measurements. (The scale was ice cold when it arrived - it’s proper winter outside). Once I took my weight with bare feet, it immediately took all the measurements. I love this scale, it’s great, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Constantly logs you out. The scale itself is nice and seems to be accurate, but every single day I need to log back into the app, which is very annoying and also makes it so that you need to bring the phone into the bathroom with you anytime you use the scale. I had another wifi scale that would automatically record your weight anytime you used it and that is what I was hoping this scale did but unfortunately it does not since it always logs you out. Fortunately it does store your password, but it is very annoying. First you need to acknowledge the session has expired button. Then you need to hit the logon button, which takes you to the logon screen, where you again have to hit logon. Then when you get in you have to dismiss the annoying connect to fitbit message. So that is 4 steps I need to take whenever I want to use the scale.

Useless. I had such high hopes for a smart scale. I needed a lot more detail than just simple weight and thought this was a perfect choice. It was given to me as a gift and I was very happy initially, But the percentages that it gives you are dangerously inaccurate. I weigh 174 and I am 5’9” tall. If I actually had the fat percentage that this said that I would need to be at 5-7% body fat, I would be dead. It currently lists my fat free weight as 130 pounds. Seriously. It also does not calculate BMI correctly and adds any change to your weight as fat rather than distinguishing between fat and muscle as it is fraudulently advertised. I have emailed and attempted to communicate with the company about this repeatedly and all they ever say is if you are unhappy with your purchase you can return it at any time. They don’t even try to deny that it is broken. What was sold to my family as a smart scale to surprise me with is nothing more then a regular scale with distracting special effects and bells and whistle’s that don’t correlate to reality. RENPHO should be ashamed of itself For continuing to market this product as if it had an ability to correctly read your body mass index and muscle through your feet. It is fraud and bulls***. Very very very disappointed.

Weight does not show on app. I purchased this scale to replace my Aria as it was an original Aria scale and has just aged over the years. Unfortunately the scale has severely disappointed me with its inability to record data to the app. Both the app and the scale recognize with a symbol that a Bluetooth connection has been established, however after weighing in, the app simply shows “- - -“ where the all the data should be. Customer service has been very responsive, however i tried everything they told me to try (didn’t work), and then when I responded to them letting them know and gave them all the information they requested, they responded with an almost identical email asking me to do the exact same things. My guess is they outsourced customer service and the CS team copy and pastes pre-written solutions to problems so they can respond quickly, however the responses prove to not be helpful at all, thus eliminating the purpose for having the “Customer Service”. I like the idea of this scale, however there is no reason to have a “smart” scale if it cannot record the data for you. I’ll give it until the end of the weekend to hopefully be able to figure out what’s going on and if not... I’ll have to just purchase the Aria 2 and recommend all of you do the same.

Not as convenient as it used to be. This app used to be great but it looks like they’ve removed a feature a few updates back that has made using this app very inconvenient. In the past, you could weigh yourself without having to open the app on your phone and the data would automatically transfer onto it the next time that you open it with the scale nearby. Now, the app will not receive the data unless you open it on your phone while you are weighing yourself. This means you can no longer queue your measurements like before. You have to bring your phone with you into the bathroom, open the app up, and then weigh yourself for the measurement to go through. I have ran the bluetooth anomaly detection with no abnormalities. I even removed and then added my scale back to the app to see if that would fix it but it’s still the same. I don’t think the issue is with the scale because it reads the measurement like normal and it still sends the data to the app when you open it on your phone. It’s just that the app is not accepting any measurements that are queued like it used to. Please bring back this feature in your next update!

Has been invaluable to lose weight.. I paired this app with the Renpho weight scale (pretty sure this app is only useful if you have one) and it has kept track of ALL of my measurements, it does show you a few other things like your body muscle and body fat (but I do wonder just how accurate it is, simply doubts that a scale in general can do it) I can see all my progress; 20 pounds down since may.... and it helps big time, occasionally the scale needs a 2nd weigh when I step on it suddenly but I’ve had it for probably 2 years now and I’m very happy with the quality of the low to mid price... 5 stars

No way to hide your data? Insanity - UPDATE. UPDATE: Thank you to the developer for responding quickly. I deleted my account and started over creating an account on my phone as instructed. Now we can all use the scale while keeping our data hidden from family members. I have adjusted the rating from 1* to 4* accordingly. There appears to be no way to hide your data from other people in your family. A family of four should easily be able to have 4 accounts and each person should have access to their own data, not everyone’s. That does not appear to be the case. If my wife wants to follow her progress and share it with me, then by all means... make that an option. But the fact that keeping your own data to yourself is NOT an option is laughable. Completely unusable from my perspective. Would change to 4 or maybe 5 stars if this simple and obvious change was implemented.

The percentages are garbage. Meh, as a scale it’s ok…it’s a scale. Looks nice and seems to be accurate. The app however is absolute garbage! It says my body fat percentage is 24%! I’m 5’8”, weigh 175 pounds and workout daily, there’s no way at that weight and height I’m at 24% body fat. About a month ago I had my body fat percentage tested at my doctor’s office and it was 11%. So if you bought this use it for what it’s intended, as a scale to weigh yourself, don’t take the percentages the app shows with any level of seriousness. If you want to know that information with some level of accuracy then go to your doctor’s office and have them test you.

Measurement Reminders. For the most part the scale is what I expected. I do have 2 issues. 1) The measurement reminders are daily. I’m not measuring myself daily because that’s just idiotic. Your measurements aren’t changing that drastically and you can’t customize how often only the time. This is a wasted feature. It would be nice if I could set my measurement reminders to weekly or whenever I like. This really needs to be changed or just remove it all together. 2) My weight only records if I have the phone in my my hand or right next to me when I weigh myself. Which is annoying. My scale is in my bathroom which is less that 2 feet from my bedroom. I never take my phone to the bathroom so if I check my weight first thing in the am without my phone I have to redo it.

Frustrating. While the scale does a great job detailing things out for those looking to lose weight, it is poor at tracking athletic performance, even in the “athletic” mode. As I gain muscle, the scale says I’m increasing body fat and my muscle content is going down. So as I’m becoming increasingly more muscular the scale says I am getting fatter even though you can visibly see I’m leaner yet stronger. That’s really frustrating. My other complaint is that the font size within the app is quite small, lightly colored and cannot be changed. For those of us who are a bit older this makes it hard to see what the app is saying. You can change themes but that doesn’t change the type color (from a light green or grey) to make it any darker or any larger.

A time-saving tool to get or stay healthy. Before this scale, I wouldn’t weigh myself very often, and ended up gaining weight quickly without even noticing. This scale has made it so much easier to keep track, and I’m not doing that yo-yo anymore! The scale requires so little work to document so much data, and then links directly to Apple health, FitBit, and more. The only hesitation I had in purchasing the scale was that you have to open the app for the readings to sink, but since I have my phone on me most of the time anyway, that has not proven to be a problem at all. The much more accessible price tag is well worth having to open an app when you step on the scale.

Great Scale, Nice App. Very happy with my purchase. The scale works well and provides a plethora of data. It works seamlessly with the app, which needs to be open on your device when using the scale. Initially it was only giving me weight & BMI but that was because I stepped off of the scale too quickly. Now I get the full data. When the phone makes a tone it tells me the data has been fully collected. Always room for improvements, the text below the trends chart icons are light grey and a teeny tiny font that I literally can’t read what they are measuring. Changing the theme didn’t help. Please darken (or enlarge) the words below the icons so we can know what measurement the graph is sharing. Other than this small tweak you have an elegant and very useful app. Well done.

Text size and color. I think the scale and app work very well together, however the text size and color are very difficult to read. I would like to see the interface more like that on the Fittrack app. It is much easier to read. I would like the option to increase or decrease the font size and also change the font color. It would also be nice to be able to customize the dashboard or add a page to move seldom used tiles to. If the number of tiles were reduced then the font size could be set to a larger font. Other than this, I have enjoyed using the app and I have had no problems with it. If these options were added I will change my review to 5 stars.

Talk about big brother!!! NO!!!. I read the privacy policy. Wow. These guys want to collect every tidbit of data about me from anything and everything that electronically connects to me or this app. ***Developer response, “We don’t sell data to third parties”. Then why do you collect it? Why do you want access to my email and my contacts and everything else?*** I just want to weigh myself and track numbers. I don’t want some wanker in Timbuktu seeing my entire life. I hit the disagree button .. but the app automatically defaults back to agree. I kept going back to hit the disagree, and only the agree button stays highlighted. Disagree doesn’t even seem to be an option, other than it appearing and giving the illusion of privacy. I cannot get the disagree button and get it to work at all. I’ll be returning this scale.

So far so good. I just received the scale. Set up was easy, although I was waiting for the “Renpho” or something to that affect to come up on my On Bluetooth list (iPhone) , and it never came up after I loaded the batteries. So I ended up just stepping in the scale to weigh myself and (literal) DING!!! My weight was automatically loaded into the app 🙌. So heads up, you won’t see the scale in your Bluetooth list, it’s automatically connected once you give permission to Allow connection ( duh right?) But anyways, cool app , though it took me a second to figure out how to delete a reading. Then I saw “Select Data” and then it was common sense from there (sometimes you have those duh moments🤷🏽‍♀️). So 👍👍 so far.

Love this app. This app works great! I usually weigh myself when I first wake up (before showering because that delays me and I usually drink plenty of water when I wake up). I weigh in approximately the same time each morning, before eating or drinking anything. I’ve found that dust or dirt will interrupt your readings, so before stepping on the scale, I wipe both feet to clean off any loose dirt or dust. I would’ve given it 5 stars except for 2 minor things: 1) once you enter a measurement, you can’t really edit it. I did my shoulders with a full 360 degree measurement but the second time I did my shoulder measurement, I did shoulder width across (which is what I think it’s supposed to be. The graph showed a high loss in inches so I tried to edit the first measurement but couldn’t. I then added a measurement for that date thinking it would overweight the incorrect info, but the graph still shows the original info. 2) minor, but I like to compare all of my data to previous dates, I can see the basics (weight, BMI, Body fat but I’d love to see a comparison of all the data as I find the data very important. As I said, very minor, otherwise this app is great!!! One suggestion aside from these 2 items, my weight will transfer to my other apps, but I’d love it if my measurements could as well!

The Newer Scale Models are Best. This scale is perfect! However I do warn NOT to switch the settings to athletic mode even though you might be working out 4 or more times a week. The athletic model will not show you your accurate body fat percentage. (It will guess lower than you truly are). I’d best leave this setting alone and aside for the body builders and not any other athletes. Also I’ve had an older model I believe and it wasn’t hitting the same weight when testing the scale. This might be where the bad reviews are coming from or it might have been low on batteries. 🤷‍♀️ Just check your weight twice in a row of your scale seems to be faulty. If faulty change the batteries. If it’s still an issue buy yourself a new scale. The new scales aren’t bad and super accurate 🙂

Hrmmm. This is fun. I like that it tracks my weight. I am 5’10” and 145lbs which is what a lot of sites say I should be at 39yrs. This site recommends I lose 13lbs and gain 3.4% body fat. If someone tells me how to do that, I would find it quite interesting, but actually doing it seems like a bad idea. I’ve read these scales, for things other than weight, are really just to be used as relative changes not actual values. But the weight seems accurate and good for the price, I like seeing it over time and the other things are fun to look at. The might want to reconsider the way they make recommendations though. :)

pretty useful. i personally don’t know how accurate the extra data about your body fat, fat free body weight, etc. is so i don’t really pay much attention to those but i do have the bluetooth scale and bluetooth tape measurer and they work well and i haven’t had any problems with either of them. i primarily use the app to keep track of my weight and body measurements while ignoring all of the extra stuff and it’s extremely useful. you can see on the graphs and compare the changes in each separate category for both weight and circumference. i’ve also noticed that you can add a baby as a member but seeing as i don’t have a child i don’t know much about it but that’s there if anyone was curious. overall good app for tracking weight and measurements. also i LOVE that it’s all completely FREE. there are no subscriptions or anything. if you don’t have the bluetooth scale or measurer you can use the MANUAL IMPUT. so there’s no need to spend any money on a new scale if you already have a decent working one.

Difficult and frustrating. This app used to be simple and very good. I used to be able to wake up in the morning, turn it on and would be there ready to go. Now I have to select my device. No option to go default on the scale. Sometimes you want to start over when weighing yourself and track from a fresh start. You are unable to do so with this app. Even if you cancel your account, they promise to delete all your data but they don’t. This software is the case where a product is designed by some software engineers that don’t actually use it. I would give this app five stars, if it would default to my scale when opening the app, and if I could click a button to delete all my past, history and data.

Excellent. Really easy to use, has a very simple UI

App doesn’t link well to device. Worked for a while and then stopped working. These scales send the same reading to my all every single time, even though the screen shows an entirely different figure. Tried deleting and reinstalling app etc, that doesn’t make a difference.

Small Adjustments for iPad & it would be Perfect. 1. Fat% & other measurements show up on scale screen as well 2. Muscle mass on trend tab of app 3. Be able to use same login across devices (e.g. phone & iPad at the same time). Currently it logs you out of one

Can’t read trends on iPhone 11 Pro Max. Can’t read trends on the iPhone 11 Pro Max as it cuts off the labels at the bottom. Hopefully it will be updated soon 🤞

Bloatware and updates that NOBODY asked for….. I literally just want to step into the scales and track my bodyweight. I do NOT want to get perpetually nagged into updating unwanted “health apps” or irreversible “updates” that make everything worse. Just let it be. You have my money already, please just get out of my life. I regret buying this product.

Doesn’t actually measure body fat. Body fat is just estimated. It’s not measured at all. I wonder if it really actually sends an electric charge through your body at all. The date format does not conform to the global standard which is confusing and ridiculous if you want to release an app globally. America/China you are not the only country in the world! There are such things as ‘other countries’.

Supports multiple people well but can’t switch from guest to cloud user. It is surprising that once choosing guest mode, there’s no way to switch to registered cloud user. The profile setting should allow this change and import local data into cloud and sync across devices. Highly recommend to support this feature.

Great at what if needs to do. I just need the weight from my scales, all other readings it gives is likely not actual readings. I’m fine with that. Easy to use.

Why!!. I have just been forced to transfer to your other app because you say this one is outdated! Well the other app is rubbish especially for iPad users! Why on earth have you now forced us to transfer to the other app which is clumsy to navigate and is not at all user friendly! I will be looking for another company with a decent app to pair with their scales as yours has now become virtually unuseable! Not at all happy with your company now whereas before I thought you were great!

Great app, could be better. Super easy to use, nice clean interface and the inclusion of trends is great. One thing that would be good would be if all measurements the app/scale records could be trended (like muscle mass)

Password issue. The problem with the App it asks for password every time you log in although the password is saved.

Mostly great, but a little misleading. If you measure your body fat and weight, then do the same while e.g. holding something heavy, or pressing down on something to show a higher weight value, the body fat percentage goes up too. Looks like it is just an estimate based mostly on height and weight. Also after weighing/measuring, if you wait too long to sync (a few hours or so maybe), it sometimes forgets the value. Regardless, the app is great and the scales are awesome!

Update on the app. I’ve just weighed in today on my iPhone which was good but the app on my iPad won’t update to my current weight, it’s staying at my last weigh in from five weeks ago. I’ve signed out and back in again, uninstalled and reinstalled, updated on the App Store when it was available but it still won’t update to my latest weigh in.

Sounds are appalling, Unnecessary features. Suddenly, instead of a simple confirmation sound, there are sounds for weight gain, loss and stable. This isn’t needed. All the sounds are obnoxious. I’ve had to mute them. This is is an unnecessary and unwanted change. If the sounds were better, I might accept it. 2022-11-01: Now I’m being bugged to migrate to a new app. I don’t want all those features. All I need is for the app to read the scale and write the data into HealthBook. I’ll look at it in the Health app.

Great idea and app but data doesn’t seem accurate. Scales just arrived today they seem amazing and the data categories are great. However I just weighed myself with athlete mode on and off and my body fat and other details have changed. If it scans my body why would it change ?

Not accurate at all!. It tell the correct body weight, but… as far a fat and other % go it is wrong!! I take other measurements & compared renphos stats and have found it out by a lot! Try standing on it with weights in your hands… watch your fat percentage go up too 🙅‍♂️… better off just buying cheep scales ⚖️ without all the bs bells and whistles.

Feminine extra please. Hi It would be wonderful if you could incorporate something in the scales app so I can mark when I’ve got my period please as I always go up by 1-3 kgs at that time. Eg a box to tick that makes that weight in show in red or something when looking at the trends view. Perhaps others might like the ability to add in how many weeks pregnant or postpartum they are? Thanks

Started showing ads after update. Paid for Renpho scales so I’m now held hostage by using their app and seeing ads all day. Not happy

easy to use but wish it had more. great app, very user friendly and everything is explained quite clearly. although i wish it had the option to set a muscle mass goal. not everyone seeks to lose weight or just fat, it would be good to be able to set goals for muscle mass and lean body mass.

Fine, but can’t graph a curve. As other users have pointed out, regardless of the length of time between measurements, the space on the x axis remains the same. As someone tracking their weight loss post op, my surgeon and medical team are unable to see the steepness of the curve, rendering it not very useful as you can’t see the speed and rate at which you lose weight. I note others providing this feedback and the app developer responding - and they don’t appear to understand this feedback. It would be a great app if it could pitch a curve with an accurate x axis. Looking for another app to manually enter my data into so myself and my doctor can monitor my weight loss. EDIT: For the Renpho tape measure, the app does not tell you how much you have lost. If there is a function, it doesn’t do it automatically and is not user friendly. I’ve been fiddling with it for 30 mins and still can’t do it. You need to manually calculate length lost yourself.

App bug. Have just received my scales and using the app to set up my preferences, unfortunately the app doesn’t allow me to complete the set-up as it freezes at the point of asking whether I want it to sync with my Fitbit. Disappointing. Hopefully it’s fixed soon so I can use it to its full potential.

Add handy hints.. Love this app and scales. My only feedback would be if there could be tips added when you tap on a specific measurement. Eg. When you tap on your bone mass, if it could give you a tip on possible things to try to improve bone mass.

Need to have an option for dark mode. If you make dark mode available as an option for the UI, I will change it to 5 stars

Weight recording good. Not much else.. The good part of this app is recording weight somewhat automatically. It works well, as long as you stand on the scales til they do the full test, and you can sync whenever (I usually only connect the phone once a week). Most of the stats seem pretty random, unreliable, other than weight. Also the graphs in the app are misleading! The dates shown across the bottom are just evenly spaced, rather than spaced by date (i.e. the time between measurements). Whether it’s a day, a week or a year between measurements, it’s the same gap. Hilariously bad. You can only really see a trend when you export the data to Apple Health or similar, which shows time series data on an actual timeline.

App not working. The app would not open even after multiple redownloads.

Don't use this as a reference for health - Just for little tidbits of info. When I started using this scale I was 180 pounds (previously 200 trying to get down to 150) and the last time I had used the scale I was 175. I'm 160/165 now, and I can see my ribs when I stretch. ... it still says I'm overweight according to the BMI. I know people should take BMI with a grain of salt, but as someone who struggled with weight loss, got what I wanted, stepped on the scale and saw it still didn't cut it, doesn't really make me want to take it's info seriously. It's still a cool machine, but it's not like you're getting anything hyper accurate on these things

Don’t force us into renovating health…. Great app, does exactly what it needs to. I’ll stay with this app as long as I can, if you force the new app I will immediately get another scale and never purchase another renpho product again.

Not meant for teens. I have a lot to say so here is a list 1. I can’t change any details I put in to start, namely my height. This wouldn’t be a problem if it didn’t think the weight from the flesh and bone added from being taller was fat. 2. It doesn’t show the greater majority of what it is supposed to, muscle mass, water weight, skeletal muscle, etc. 3. When I tried to set a goal it assumed I want to lose weight, rather then starting at my current the goal was -20 lbs. 4. Body fat was completely inaccurate, it changed so much throughout any day I measured more then once, it can’t tell the difference between food and fat.(it fluctuated from 14-11% fat throughout a WEEK) 5. It was useless to me entirely, looking in the mirror was more helpful then this 70$ waste of money

Great machine. Using the machine for last 5 years. The automatic sync feature is awesome. It also show the chart which helps me to track my weight. Along with the weight it slows 8-9 others metrics which are also super helpful. I just wished the chart shows the data on relative gap with date range instead of just when the data is taken.

Please add a pregnancy feature. I love using this app when I go to weigh myself but I wish their was a feature for women when they become pregnant, because when we gain weight during pregnancy I don’t think it’s accurate to just say that they immediately become obese.

App requires account. Given that this scale connects using Bluetooth it's unjustified to require users to make an account. Talk about unnecessary data collection and security risks.

Stop asking me to switch apps!. The app keep asking to switch to their “New Renpho Health App”, and I have to close the prompt that takes up a third of my screen every time I open the app.

This doesn’t work. When it asked for my height I knew it was simply going to compare my weight to height. I’m an athlete with a 32 inch waist and a 44 inch chest, I have very little fat but it says I’m overweight. I had my wife stand on it and when asked if it was me I said yes and with her body weight it said her body fat was very low. Once it knows your height it just compares that to your weight.

Is not possible to introduce the measurement. Why you have that functionality if does not permits the user to take advantage?

Not bad. I enjoy the scale.. not sure why I can not turn up the volume so I can hear the sounds it makes.

Scale. The scale looks amazing! But I can’t trust that the app receives my info unless I open the app to make sure while weighing. If I don’t there’s a good chance, like 1 out of 2 that it won’t. NOTE: stop opening the banner inviting me to download your new health app. I DON’T WANT IT.

Reliable Scale. Measurements seem accurate and consistent. The app lacks ability to change font. Small font makes reading the charts and measurements difficult.

Mostly useful, but need to average measurements. My scale and app have been somewhat useful to keep track of trends in my weight and a few body metrics over time. It seems to be reasonably accurate, but it’s certainly not perfect. The scale does not seem to take a real time measurement, but instead takes a few seconds to “lock in” a measurement and then sticks to it regardless of your movement or if you pick something up while standing on it. Then if you step off and on and take another measurement it may differ from the first by half a kilogram. It would be nice if the app then showed an average of your metrics but it just shows the last one. This is also true in the “monthly” and “yearly” views in the graph, where only the last value of each month is shown: it would be more useful to see the *average* of values measured in that month to establish a trend, instead of single values which fluctuate significantly due to noise/error.

Love it. im very sad to know that has been discontinued. The substitute app does not het even close to this one.

Horribly inaccurate. Had my body fat tested professionally and it was 50% higher than Renpho. It’s only good for tracking weight.

Annoying Popup. I keep getting a annoying popup ad. Make it go away!!!

Forced registration. Why is there no offline local only option for this spyware?

Measurement history gone. Without any notification, all records are deleted.

Love this app. I have been using this app and scale for two years and I love it. It is easy to use and has a user interface that is simple and fun and great information. Please don’t change the user interface and clutter it up with useless features. Most app get worse with upgrades and companies look to monetize their customers further. Only suggestion is replace product page with link to products and instead offer education to help us understand the meaning and relevance of the measures. How is age calculated? Why am I drinking a ton of water and the water measurement is barely moving? If I’m losing weight what is the ideal ration of muscle mass and fat loss? Do I need to eat more protein if the muscle mass goes down. I’m sure others would have more questions. But overall 5/5. Thanks.

Age. This is interesting data to compare month over month but body fat is not accurate and the age is way off!!! Can someone please explain why I’m in the best shape of my life and wear a size zero and squat over 300 pounds and this app makes me 12 years older?

Apple Watch App does NOT work. Despite repeatedly uninstalling and reinstalling watch app, it stuck on "step on the scale”.. The phone app works but not on the watch

Poor visualizations. This app misses on its main purpose: I cannot get a good visualization of how my weight changed overtime. The x axis is not linear so if you don’t weight yourself at fixed period of time, you will get an odd view of how your weight varied over time. I don’t understand this choice; to put a non-linear axis like this is one of the worst data viz error that can be made! Please fix this!

Corrupt apt. The app and now website do no recognize my user name and password. I have been a customer x from day 1. Time for a new brand because Renpho is garbage.

Like this app, please do not force users to switch to Renpho health app. I like this app but not the Renpho health app. At some point this app gave a pop up message asking me to switch to the other app. The pop up message is annoying to have to close all the window and I don’t like the other app, I like this one. It’s driving me crazy where I am now considering getting a new scale from a competitor just because I don’t like using Renpho health app and this app is almost not working anymore , it’s just so frustrating it asks me everytime I use it to switch. Please let the users who enjoy this app to continue using it without the annoying prompts to change apps

Awful notification. The app was working fine, now every time I am using the app a notification is popping up trying to force me to use their newer app that has a bad BT connectivity.

Love it. I love this app, it works great. The only issue I am having now is they are asking to “upgrade” to the new app, which sucks. Please remove the asking to upgrade annoying thing, I won’t change, I love it the way it is now. Thank you

Money well spent. Perfect for tracking your progress on your weight gain or loss journey

Non compatible. Ne crée pas de complication sur Apple Watch.

Very useful. No real issues. For the most part it works as advertised. There are 2 small issues. The first is the setting for the metabolic age. It appears to be off since it never changes based on weight lost. The second issue is that I would like a Dark Mode theme. All you offer is bright colours.

This App doesn’t work. I try many times but Don’t work

So stupid. One of my family members went on my account and put a stupid goal on it that’s above my weight and you can’t fix it

You get what you pay for. The weight tracking is super useful for me. However, the body fat measurements are definitely not accurate. I dropped 20lbs and became significantly more lean, however, the scale only reported I dropped from 15% to 14%. At the end of the day, if you want to know your body fat with accuracy, you need an expensive machine, not a $100 scale. I still use it every morning because I like the charts of my weight over time.

No longer syncs. After updating the app my scale (ES-20M) no longer syncs.

No more?. So this app we no longer use? Which one do I have to switch to & will all my info /history automatically carry over ?

Can’t switch accounts without logging in manually. In the past, I can record my dad’s data by switching to my dad’s account without logging in to his but by having him as a friend, so that when my dad asks me to measure his weight and record to his data, I can record on my phone that’s logged in to my account and tapping his profile to switch to his without having to use his phone to record. Now because I updated the app, when I tapped on his card from my friends list, it shows his weight data instead of switching to measure for him, so now it requires me to switch to his phone or log in to his account on my phone in order to record his data! Can you please bring this feature back so that I can record his data flawlessly again?

Works well, bmi outdated. It would be nice to be able to customize the metrics that matter. I am concerned that BMI is showing, as it is a terrible metric that misleads people. My BMI shows me as overweight, yet I’m less that 20% body fat and am in mostly the athletic zones. Now I know to ignore BMI but for people who have body dysmorphia, this is a huge concern. Get rid of BMI.

Wrong time scale. Hello there, what is the ETA for you to correct the time scale of measurements over periods of time?. For instance, It shows data points apart months or not within a week as if they were within a week. The only time when the graph is correct is when the user records the measurement everyday within that week which isn’t always the case Instead of a line graph, you should use an X,Y graph. It’s simple, Even Excel has that option. This issue has been going on for as long as I remember it.

Timeline scale is off. I like this app & weigh scale and it gives an easy at-home estimate to body fat percentage as well as your weight. My critique is that the time scale of your measurements is off. If you measure once and then again in a month it takes each data point as one day and then the next day (as if you gained 40 lbs in a week for example, when it was actually over months but you weren’t weighing in every day) if this graph was better represented I would be very happy with the app overall.

Hard to read. The app is terrible it looks like a wet newspaper! The icons are so small and the text below I can’t make out because it’s so washed out and I have had laser eye surgery. I hate it I wish I could return it.

So annoying for seeing the new app add everyday. I paid for the scale, supposed to use the app without any ad. Recently it started to promote a new app, and the add promotes everytime the app is started. So annoying, pop up one or two times is enough!

Not pregnancy accessible. There is no pregnancy setting for women/child bearing people. So even though I'm within a normal weight range for my body type (more muscle than fat) the scale is showing more and more inaccurate detailed readings. It would be nice to track my weight while pregnant using this scale, but it’s advertised features are useless to me due to their inaccuracy. Apparently to be using this scale you can’t also be growing a family. Do better

doesn’t track weight with my apple health app. i thought that this would update my weight every time i stood on the scale but it just doesn’t work. my health app on my phone still says 87 kg even though my scale now says 79 kg. so it just doesn’t work at all.

Happy to have it. I have it for over 2 years. No issues with it. It keeps measurements even if your phone is not close, and then download them to phone at once. I have accounts of 6 family members and it recognizes the updates belongs to whom. So Happy with it.

i like it but…. the last time i had this app was in 2019 and i was 5,2. now, i’m 5,5 and when i change it on my account it doesn’t seem to change anything on the results. i weight 130, which is very normal but it tells me i’m almost overweight… it just doesn’t make any sense to me. i’m also not able to know my viceral fat and others even thought they’re in the options. so please correct that

Gisa. Looove the app so user friendly. And the trends are the best you can see your progress. Very detailed in a good way. 10/10

Reorganize data/icons. Would be nice if we could reorganize the data to an order each user would like it displayed vs your default settings.

Scam. The app and scale use pre-coded ratios that only take weight and age data to approximate your fat% and the rest. I went through months of intense 16 and 20 hours fasting diet while using this scale to 12km a day exercise and heavy eating which never changed any of the bone, fat, muscle datas other than following my weight. I take 1 pound i gain 0.2% fat i lose it i lose 0.2% fat. A scam

Fonts. They are extremely small for seniors. I chose the darkest colour but having a hard time to read. Had to use magnifying glass. Please make the fonts and numbers bigger.

Font on iPad is too small. There should be an option to change the size of the font. On my iPad it is very hard to see the measurement attributes.

Good overall, but a few problems.. The scale and app work together well via bluetooth. While the overall methodology for calculating things such as bodyfat, water- and skeletal weight by electrical impedance may be flawed, the results provided have internal reliability (changes against results gathered in the same way are consistent). Consult with a doctor or sports medicine clinic for a more accurate reading of muscular weight v. bodyfat. A few observations: 1. Charts and graphs are hard to read due to the fonts and colors used. Providing a high-contrast option would be beneficial to users with less than perfect vision, rather than pastel colors on a white background. 2. Because of the delay of transferring data to the device from the scale, the audio notification is a good feature. Unfortunately all the sounds are annoying, mostly in a comical sense. Some normal notification sounds like a standard beep would be welcomed.

Desire one change and then it would be perfect!. I do love this scale! I run weight/fat loss challenges and all of the contestants buy this scale to track during the challenge. I love being able to have “friends” in the app to motivate and record the contestants progress. THE ONLY IMPROVEMENT I WISH TO SEE IS BEING ABLE TO CHANGE THE DATE OF WHICH THE APP DISPLAYS OVERALL PROGRESS. That would make the user experience heightened even more so.

Amazing and long lasting. I bought this scale in 2019 because I switched from a Fitbit to an Apple Watch and needed something to be able to sync to my apple health app. I always weigh myself every morning and at night just because I’m curious which foods affect my body in which way. This app has been really accurate for me with the weight. Scale or app hasn’t broken or given me any trouble at all!

Updated...much better now. UPDATE....I’m pleased that the developers listened and corrected the app. The ranges are now correct. ORIGINAL....The weight chart shows dangerously low weight as being the suggested healthy range. I am 5’9” and it is telling me that the healthy weight for my height would be 115lbs-140lbs. I don’t know where they are getting their data but 115lbs would be under weight for someone 5’9”. This app would not be healthy for anyone dealing with an eating disorder.

I love it. A friend recommended it and I’ve already recommended it to 2 other people. I love this scale, it was super cheap compared to all the fancy scales out there and it gives you so much information on your health. I love the triumph sound when you lose weight and that you can see the progress on all the different categories. And thanks to the last update now it sinks to my fit bit app!

Battery life stinks. Unless you’re going to weight yourself daily, plan to buy extra batteries! Guess I’ll start taking them out after each use. Also, I’ve used an inbody machine with my former employer, following guidelines for time of day, not to eat or drink prior, same clothing, etc. Significantly different results! I’m curious which is more correct - granted this scale was only $16 and my employer’s was significantly more expensive, other inbody machines had different results compared to my employer’s. Which is more correct??? No telling.

Add a note section. Love this app and scale using last 2 yrs but it would be great to add a note section on individual weighin days? Like I went up 2 pounds and that was b/c I broke my diet or had a cold so I can look back at the individual weights and kinda get history on it. Like trying new medication caused the weight loss or gain. Kinda like a weight journal 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just a thought thank you

For the money, the scale is not bad.. Had initial problems with both the scale and the app, but was able to get it working. It works surprisingly well for such an inexpensive scale. Quicker than the $100 Nokia smart scale that it replaced and the measurements seem to be roughly the same. The only issue I am having is the new app, which doesn't work as well as the old one and it forces you to sign-in every time you use the scale. I deleted the new app and have been using the old one.

Simple and easy. App is great and works just how I would expect it to. Daily use: I open the app, step on the scale, and everything syncs over to the app and I can see it update. I can then go into Apple Health later and see all my information nicely synced as well. Initial setup: I did have the read through the directions to get it set up right. Account creation was easy and fast. Pairing with the scale was quick, but I wish the app let me know it had paired. I had to hit the back button and found the sync had worked instead of staying on the setup radar screen. Overall, very good app that could use a few minor UX tweaks. Very happy with the purchase of the scale and how easily the app works.

I use this every two to three days. I struggle with anorexia and self care. Renpho’s bluetooth scale and measuring tape have done a lot towards helping me regain control of my weight and measurements! I particularly like looking at the trends over time. Being able to shop for clothes that fit perfectly with my latest measurements is wonderful too! I’m very happy with my purchase.

App keeps spinning. I bouught the scale and paired the scale with the app. It worked fine for first couple of days, but after some days, the app did not work as expected. The circle in the app keeps spinning, waiting to get data from the scale. I tried resetting the scale and removing the pair, but it works only once for every 10 times I try. This is not a good experience and I am no able to track my progress, the main reason I bought the scale for. I have also tried troubleshooting the issue, it just sends the error message to Renpho but nothing get fixed. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me resolve the issue.

So far, so good. I feel I made a good investment towards my health in purchasing the scale and downloading this app. So far the scale works good. I withheld a star because I think that the instruction booklet that came in the book could have been better. Also it would be nice to have better and more instructions within the app, that are easy to access, instead of videos. Setup took me a while, and I'm computer savy. Furthermore, so far app isn't sincing to Fitbit (on my iPad). Finally, app won't allow me to be logged in to both iPhone and iPad. I don't know how to log out of this app. Inconvenient.

It’s something to track your progress. This scale is not very accurate when it comes to body fat % or BMI etc. although these aren’t accurate it is still consistent. I use mine everyday just to watch my skeletal muscle, body fat % and of course my weight. The muscle mass is the only part that doesn’t seem to make any sense because my skeletal muscle is going up but my muscle mass is going down. How is that even possible? This is a good cheap way to just track progress but do not trust the numbers this app gives you except for your weight.

Renpho Scale. I have been using this scale since 7/22 just over 1 year. It’s exciting to see what I’ve accomplished in a year. I also have the scale for foods, the body measuring tape that feeds my measurements into this app. Not only is the scale and other devices great to have but this app is also a 5star. I have recommended all of these devices to others including my weight loss support groups as well.

Inaccurate. I just bought this scale and this app. There is a little section under weight where is classifies your weight as inadequate, low, standard, high, and exceeding. I am a healthy, mostly fit female and it has me on the scale as “exceeding” or overweight. No where in medical research anywhere would I be classified as overweight. :-) The weight prescribed for my height as “standard” is actually pretty annorexic. And, yes, my height, age and gender are correct. I have checked everything. There is something wrong with their app and algorithm. Disappointing because I was happy with it, until that.... but that is rather glaring.

I would only change one thing…. Only thing I wish is that you could change the category your GOALS are pulling from to be muscle mass or some other category especially when you have already reached your body weight & fat goal. I think it’s really important to track more than just your weight for mental health reasons, or for example I had a broken bone so it was nice to be able to monitor the loss of my muscle mass and ensure I wasn’t loosing any other type of weight I didn’t need to.

Nice metrics but..... I’m happy with the scale and the metrics the app provides. I am very unhappy that it chose a stupidly small font that is too lightly colored to read and doesn’t respond to system accessibility settings. On top of that it doesn’t support dark mode and the “themes” are all still very hard for me to read. Please remember you’ve got users with low or no vision. You need to design your apps to be inclusive, which is what the Apple Human Interface Guidelines say too. If the devs would make the app scale its font I’d be rating this much higher. As it stands it’s close to unusable for me, and likely many others

Great so far... data needs some fine tuning. So far, love the product. It worked straight out of the box and paired seamlessly. The stats all seem relatively accurate and the app to me is well done. My only complaint with the app is that is says my “ideal weight” is an extremely unhealthy weight goal. These weight ranges do not match the bmi ranges either. 5 stars if they got rid of this feature or modified it to be inclusive of actual weight ranges. At 5’6” and 140, I don’t think I’m extremely overweight as the app keeps telling me.

Needs some polish, pretty good overall. This app needs a little bit of polish here and there. Fitness apps tend to be of ultra high quality and this app could use some better graphics and display data in a better way, BUT it interfaces fully with Apple HealthKit and my Fitbit which is a massive plus. It interfaces with the accompanying scale with absolutely zero effort on my part and receives readings from it quickly and perfectly. Can't go wrong. Great app.

Works Well. I’ve been using this app for about a month now and so far it has worked well for me. Fortunately, I have not experienced any bug issues like some others have reported. The only thing I would suggest is adding a note feature for each log. It would be helpful to add notes so we could remember what we were up to around that time that could’ve impacted our weight and other numbers for example.

Love my Renpho. I purchased my scale a few years ago and could not be happier. I love the fact it tells me my water and protein levels. I use my scale at least four times a week. The information it provides is a great tool to help me stay healthy and active all while continuing to reach goals that I set for myself. You will not regret your purchase.

Graphs are nonsensical and useless. I only use the scale for its weight tracking feature. I don’t take much stock in body fat measurements from devices like this. However, even the weight tracking feature is not that great. The X axis plots each measurement equidistant from one another no matter how many days have passed. This gives a really skewed representation of your weight trends…. The Bluetooth uploaded measurements is nice, but I have it write into Happy Scale app which uses a weighted average which is more representative of my weight at any given time…and Happy Scale has graphs that make sense.

Overall good scale, app interface not so. The amount of information appears to be good but hard to read. Like it should be used in a much larger screen, or at lest in landscape mode with zoom capability. The graphs don’t appear to work well when you set the time scale to month. It goes back all the way to some random day. Should work similar to calendar on phone last 3 days, week, or custom where you select the time frame. Hope they can do some of these adjustments and they will have good hardware with a better interface.

Sometimes works. Cool little app for the scale to track weight and other measures, when it works. First day had no issues but next two days wasted ten min trying to connect through bluetooth. If you cant connect through bluetooth the scale stores your data. However, if someone else connects before you do, the only option is for them to claim or delete your data. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app. This seemed to fix bluetooth problem but all previous data is lost even thought they make you set up an account and log in.

Easy to Use and Great for Goal Setting. As someone who works out almost every day, this app is great for tracking for measurements and seeing how close I am to reaching my goals and what I need to improve on whether it be gaining muscle or losing fat. It was very easy to set up and connect to my scale. I really like the design of the app and the different features. I definitely recommend this scale over others I’ve tried!

Some stats are a scam. Fair convinced the body fat percentage/muscle mass, amongst other stats presented are simply calculated by your relatively weight and height instead of being properly measured. I’ve been from 170lb->195lb in the past year on this app while maintaining visible abs, body fat percentage rose by five percent. Every time I’ve measured (sometimes twice in a day), if the weight goes up, body fat percentage and muscle mass increases; if weight goes down, everything decreases without fail. Not sure how you could gain 0.5lb of muscle after dinner in the same day but I guess sure.

Almost great. I love almost everything about this scale. My only problem is I started my weight loss journey prior to purchasing the scale and wanted to be able to see my progress from my starting weight. I can manually input it on the graph, but it won’t enter my starting date or starting weight on the progress page. Kinda disappointed. Also, I would’ve love to see some sort of progress report on how much till my goal and the approximate time it would take according to the average progress. Otherwise, I think it’s a good product.

Love the scale but app colors are hard to see. I love the scale and app. However, the light green colors on the summary page are difficult to see, especially for someone with a visual impairment. It would be great if they would implement a dark theme mode or give uses the ability to change the color schema. I would also remove the additional ’products’ tab. Just put it under setting. I hate how companies keep trying to push other products.

Finally, the ranges are accurate!. For the longest time, this app was way off. They just fixed them, finally! The weight ranges were completely unreasonable before (the “middle” of my ideal weight used to EQUAL my fat-free body weight?!?!) and I would have to completely ignore the color coding telling me that 148 lbs as a 5’8” woman is severely overweight. The scale was always very accurate, but the app is finally no longer a confidence killer!

Doesn’t seem to save weight unless I actually have the app open on the screen. My preview smart scale died and so I had to get a replacement. One unfortunate thing about this scale is that it doesn’t seem to save my weight measurement to my account automatically unless I have the app open and on the screen while I weigh myself. This is extremely disappointing as the old scale would just send the measurement to my account automatically without me need to constantly reopen the app as I weighed. If it is connecting to Bluetooth why can’t it just tell the app in the background?! Most of the time when I’m weighing it’s before or after a shower and my phone is not in the room.

Renpho app. It’s okay with keeping data that is important to know for your weight loss or gain needs. The only con you can’t delete years past to only focus where you are now going forward without deleting entire history. Overall I would give it a four star. Also my scale did not come with tape for measurements and that could possibly change review to five stars.

Love this scale!. Best scale I’ve ever owned! I really love how it is consistent every time I step on it and that it doesn’t fluctuate when getting on the scale a couple of times in a row. I’ve really enjoyed the app and all of the data that it tracks including measurements that you can input. Another cool feature of the scale is that it can recognize different people stepping on the scale through bioimpedance. I’m very pleased with this scale and would recommend it to everyone.

Dangerously inaccurate for women susceptible to eating disorders or low self esteem. This app tells me that although I’m a healthy BMI, which I know I am and always have been, that my overall body weight is “very high.” It tells me my healthy standard weight should be what I weighed as a skinny child and I’m 33. It even tells me my healthy weight is 2 lbs lighter than my “fat free body weight.” It gives an unreachable goal for women and I don’t understand why they would not fix that. Women at risk for low self esteem and eating disorders would feel awful using this app as it has sparked frustration in me and I know it’s wrong.

Works for me. I’ve had this app/scale for about 2yrs. It has worked well for me since the first day I used it. It’s useful for automatically logging my weight & the other parameters. The only thing I wish is that you could register conditions that drastically effect weight such as pregnancy. After I had my child, my weight decreased quickly and dramatically & the app asked if it was really me. I appreciate that it double checked but felt weird at the same time.

Good Scale, Bad Graphs. I have been using the scale for 4 months and have found the weight measurement accurate as compared with the doctor scale. My only negative is that the graphs are misleading/incorrect. As a math teacher, we teach students to keep the intervals consistent. The horizontal axis should have a regular scale but instead is by date. This is misleading for determining trends and rates of change. And as someone in the process of losing weight, a rate of change is important to see.

Scale is great but support hard to catch. The scale works great, but if you buy a digital scale and not able to report software bugs what is the scale then worth? Right now with my new iphone 12 and ios 14 I'm dealing with screen resolution problems but not able to contact the support. So for me it's only worth 4/5 stars. Think the availability of the support needs urgent to be improved. Update: Find a other way to contact support and got a quick support. Raised up the stars to 4. Last star I will give if the support can be more easy contacted via the app.

Great Weight App Needs Pregnancy Update. I’ve used this app for a long time now and have been very pleased with all the information it provides. I am currently pregnant and am monitoring my weight gain. It currently shows that I am on obesity for fat and overweight for my weight. I would be interested in seeing a pregnancy option for others since I will most likely have my baby before it is produced. Just a thought to improve the app when it is has been a great tool in all other areas.

Great App & Scale. The scale works great. Careful when you step on there to not tip it (it’s glass and light weight). The app is awesome. It’s everything it says it does on here. I’ve been using this app & scale since 2019 and it still shows the records since then so I can compare. Very motivating to see your progress, ups and downs. I bought a new phone and was able to log on and use the app right away on my new device and it uploaded the history/records from when I started.

Measurement sounds don’t work. EDIT: I’m an idiot :) My phone was set to silent. Toggled that, and all sounds have returned as expected... but ONLY when you’ve got the phone app open while stepping on the scale. If I have to grab my phone and open the app first before weighing, I might as well just enter the results manually. My hope was to send my info to the cloud every time I stepped on the scale. I think I’d have to go with a different brand like Withings for that feature, one that stays connected over wifi instead of Bluetooth. Disappointing, but my fault for not understanding the dif between the two.

Works well with a few minor problems. I love the app and scale. It tracks your progress while giving a lot of helpful stats such as body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat, etc. It has two quirks I hope they fix in future app updates. 1. The trends by year function does not work. It only shows from the beginning of the current month, so is less helpful than the trends by month view where you can at least scroll. 2. The calculation for BMR (Basal metabolic rate) is incorrect. I did mine manually and got a very different number.

I like it but... Overall I like the scale in the app. I don’t seem to have any problems with it connecting via Bluetooth and getting all my settings. The only downside I’ve seen so far is that it will only connect to a Fitbit watch for storing data or syncing data. I really wish it would also work for Apple Watch and Garmin watches so that the data from my scale could go directly into my Garman app and sync together. Hopefully they will add that as an update soon! When they do I’d be happy to give it a five star rating.

Blackmail? Disabled unless invasive permissions given. My scale has been partially disabled after one year because app demands new invasive permissions. BMI readings and weight history are no longer available to me. The app was supposedly free with purchase of the scale. Now they demand permission to what appears to me to be to collect info from my phone and send me spam. I have two lawyers in my family who after glancing at it said that they wouldn’t agree to it. It could easily contain permissions allowing all kinds of intrusive soap. Do we really need 20 pages of opaque legalese for using a scale? I now need to buy a new scale unless I submit to their blackmail.

About my scale. My scale has just arrived a few days ago and I just unboxed it today. It showed half my data only, I could only see my body fat, my weight and my body water but not the number of my body muscles. It’s weird for me because my brother tried using this app, all his data was up and we were both confused. I tried emailing the company but it said the email doesn’t exist. I hope someone will give me an answer and tell me what to do. Overall, I think this scale is awesome, I just need to know about why I can’t see my muscles rate and the metabolism rate, some of the data are missing.

regular vs athlete. I’ve had this scale for almost 2 years now. Today was first day I tried to use athlete mode. I’m really surprised how body fat % went from 32% (regular) to 22% (athlete) so I’m kinda questioning how accurate this is. The weight did stay the same. I have been working out more often and attending orange theory fitness very regularly so maybe the numbers are looking hopeful because of my body is changing. Love the additional details regarding body composition.

Why can I change friends data?. Firstly, I love this scale. But explain to me why, when you friend someone, you can manipulate and overwrite their data entirely? My boyfriend has accidentally changed my weight and stats. And, you can’t even delete it after without deleting everything! Even trying submit a help question has proven a waste of time, as it just says “recording” once submitted but never actually does anything. This scale has the capability to be awesome but this app has a LOT of work to be done to be functional. This is not user error, it’s just bad design.

So frustrating. I purchased the scale and the tape. The scale has been great, the app functions work well enough for the scale and I like the overview. It’s not great to see history, that part could be improved. However, the tape is AWFUL. The tape never functions right. In the middle of using it the zero mark will suddenly change up to anywhere from 2-4 inches so your measurements are way off. It’s so touchy, there isn’t a good way of seeing progress overall without looking at the graphs. Save your money and skip the horrid tape but I would recommend the scale.

Great Weight Loss Tool. Family, extended family and I use this tool along with better nutrition and exercise to great effect. Was well over 200 lbs when I started, all categories were yellow and red, but now I’m 184 (6’1”) and only one category remains to make green. I’m 53 and it feels great gaining back a better quality of life and this tool definitely helps.

Insanely good value, picky reviewers. This is a fantastic app to pair with a $30 scale. If you’re not competent enough to follow basic instructions then maybe you should shell out the $100+ for a scale that holds your hands even more... I really cannot understand what the negative reviewers struggle with so much. This app is easy to use, works great, and the scale is ridiculously good value. If you’re capable of reading this review you will have no trouble using this app.

Great app with a bug. I have been using this for a while now ans love it though there is a small bug in the app which makes the change of weight, body fat, and BMI on the front page useless. So, when I installed and used it, it was working perfectly. Though i went to the data of each day and deleted the one of the entries of the first day which wasn't correct. And there you go, now all these 3 values shows empty as its trying to pick from the first data to compare the changes of these 3 values. Please fix this tiny bug. This refrains me from giving it 5-star.

Generally good for basic functions.. The app works well with the scale and provides general information. I tried to go into the app to submit a feature request and this portion is poorly written for iPhone users. Once you enter your comments there is no way to get to the submit button. The feature I want added is for the scale/app to measure visceral fat if that is at all possible. I had another scale that did this and I miss that.
