An app Im finding. I had been looking for an app to record my journey and the app was a good choice to me. It helped me much, with the highest quality off video, i can see back after go home.

Nothing works on this app. Try for yourself. This app does nothing more than record poor quality videos. The footage once the videos are saved look about 360p. This is regardless of what quality setting you set it to in the options. The footage looks sharp while it’s actually recording (on screen) but once you go back and look at the footage, it’s significantly blurred. I even tried just holding my phone in my hand and trying to record a license plate at 15ft. distance, it looked sharp and readable on the screen while recording, but once I went to review the footage, it was so blurry that you couldn’t even read the plate! I figured maybe the files were getting compressed within the app, So I exported the video to my camera roll, the video still looks the same with terrible quality. While recording, the gps coordinates (latitude/longitude) never change and neither does the speedometer, they almost just look like fake numbers on the screen to make this look legit. I’m using this on a new iPhoneX with a clean lens and the phone has full LTE service bars from AT&T. There should be no reason for it not to work. I can tell it’s getting service because the ads keep popping up. Also, there’s an option for 60fps which was exciting to me but once I went to record, it just does 30fps regardless of what you set it to. The developer must’ve payed friends/family to write perfect reviews. There’s no way I’m the only one complaining about this. Nothing on this app seems to work at all other than the recording and a clock. I’m so glad I didn’t actually pay for the pro version (even though it’s fairly priced at $1). We tried it on my wife’s phone just to see if it was my phone, sure enough, it acted the same on hers. I get that most apps will have bugs or problems, but this has to be some kind of joke. I am open for the developers response/solutions, although it will probably be the same copied and pasted response he did to all the five star comments.

Very good. Great for recording driving trips. Sound, map, pictures. Loving this app on my car trips. Highly suggested!

Deleting it. Paid to remove ads but they weren’t the real problem. It didn’t record my speed or coordinates. At all. Just the time and date. Video quality was good, it just did not work as advertised.

Don’t hit updates. Did updates and it completely stopped working, absolutely nothing, maybe I shouldn’t have done that. Can’t get it to work again, and that’s after having and using this app for almost two years.

App crashed. With the app running on my dashboard in the hot sun, after about 10 my iPhone 7 Plus got hot and shut down. Phone was plugged in during use if that matters.

Easy To Use. I had someone to hit me in my car and then claim it was my fault. With nothing to back my claim up I was forced to pay 500 on my insurance. This app which was nothing compared to that will help me in the future. I use it every time I drive now. Great app.

No ad removal. Five days ago I paid for the monthly subscription to use the car camera and remove ads. The ads are still there and I even emailed them about the problem with no communication back.

Good app won’t rotate. Will delete app as it will not rotate in landscape, I need the power cord to the left but app will not go that way. New app orients correctly

Video gets blurry. Whenever I speed up in my car around 40mph it gets very blurry.

Issues after camera update. After update can’t listen to the radio, or music apps without video freezing. Also since the update my phone heats up and battery gets drain to quickly while using the video feature.

Nice app. Nice to have a built in cam in my phone. One less device to schlep. I just wish it could work in the background while I’m using navigation or making a call…

Speed shown as 0. No speed, lat/long never changed, app shut off after 30 minutes on a 6 hour drive. Should record 30, then record next 30 over original 30.

First Impression. Had the App for about two months now. At the beginning, was very pleased with the App and Quality of Video/Audio. However, for some odd reason, when I go to activate the live video/audio recording while driving, the App kicks off my actual radio in my car? It had never done this before?

First Impression. I wasn’t sure what to expect using this app since I never considered using my phone to record my driving. I’ve used the app for several days and I’m pleasantly surprised! I highly recommend the app. I would like to suggest to the developer to allow the app to use the front camera by pressing a button. I would like to protect myself in the event I’m pulled over by authorities. A simple addition would make this great app - better!

Looking good. I have looked at some of the other free ones. This looks really good. Having some trouble with the location interface but got very quick responce from support.

worry free driving!. No hassle, just turn on and drive. I f rhere are no incidents, I erase / delete after a few days or a week, download and save the ones you like. No need to give your personal information. Just gives me a peace of mind when i’m driving

The most useful app. That’s better than ever! I like the silent recording option (recording in the background) and the ability to select the size of the recorded videos.

Advertisments. Still getting ads after payment please fix this and my rate will change

Displays video upside down. Paid version still has ads.. I paid $2.99 to get rid of the ads, but the app still displays ads when I go to the settings menu. I find this to be misleading and dishonest. Also, the app does not automatically sense the phone’s orientation, and so it displays the interface upside down when I mount the phone on my windshield with the charging port facing left, as I have to do in my car. This is incredibly annoying. I will unfortunately have to find another app to solve these problems.

Best record. I have used many app like this but I think this app is the best because of it's benefits. It saved me lot of time to get the history driving recorded

Ok. The app freezes multiple times

Mostly works. Everything works great except the speed tracking, it’s permanently stuck at 0 or 1mph.

Simple and useful. It is simple and a good ise for an old phone. Doesn’t have to be used for a car. Ie watching the cookie jar use cases. I wish there was a black out option for the gray bar to be a temporary overlay and for the screen to go black. That part is easy to fix with screen brightness ;)

Good for Tracking a Trip. The only thing I don’t like about this app is that it only records for a max of 30 minutes before it shuts off. We drive for a few hours sometimes before we stop. I don’t notice the camera is going off. I guess I could set a timer.

First impression, first time use. I have not yet upgraded due to the reason below because I don’t see that this is part of the paid version either. A big issue I find with this app is that when I am using my mapping program or when I get a call it interrupts the video and I cannot have the continuous video coverage to have to keep restarting the app which is annoying. Once they start allowing this app to run in the background then I am on board and Will upgrade!

Must be able to record in background!!!. Like I’ve mentioned before this app is useless unless you can somehow enable recording in the background. Once I switch to maps for navigation it stops recording. You need to figure it out how to make this work in the background. Once you switch to any other app it stops recording…useless!

Unable to use in my situation. To me, it appears there's only one landscape view. Mounding the phone results in either the display being upside down or the cameras covered up.

Doesn’t work in background?. Seems to have all one could ask for in a car DVR camera, but as soon as it is not the active app (like if you look at your messages or navigation app) the recording stops. Several reviews (many of which are overly enthusiastic and generic enough to apply to any app) refer to GOS tracking and to recording while in the background. Are these “pro” features? I can’t find any sign of them in the app’s settings … Without the ability to record while I’m suing my Navi app it’s not really useful ….

Simple, Effective. I like it. It's been a great way to document my drive. The app settings allow you to set limits on saved recording's file size, the quantity of recordings saved, and auto deletes the oldest files when you hit your chosen limits. Set it, forget it, enjoy the simple every-drive use.

I love it. Personal Car Camera app is necessary for all drivers. Its highlight functions is recording all moment of your car journey. It's really useful when you met unexpected accidents.
