Like it. I really like the design and sleekness. But I am disappointed it doesn’t have any function or notification for humidity and I couldn’t find the dew point. If that was included I would continue to use.

Hey you. I really do prefer this instead of your regular weather app. But one suggestion I will make is that I think It would be awesome if you guys added allergy levels. Other than that it is truly great.

Brella is a great app!. Brella has been a great tool for quickly checking the weather and deciding what to wear. Its customized forecasts are very helpful and the little jokes make checking the weather fun (although it would be nice if we could disable them). In addition, the daily notifications are very convenient and help speed up my morning routine. One feature I'd love to see would be better support for the Siri shortcuts app. For example, it would be nice if there was an action that would output the forecast as text so it can be used in the shortcut.

Just found this amazingness and I love it!. I just found this app on the App Store and thought "Wouldn't it be nice to have a weather app to tell you how to dress for current conditions? So I thought to myself "This is the app for me? Whoever doesn't have this app needs to download it. It is so cool and unique. Cute name too! There should never be an "up when it comes to knowing the weather. I believe it's the most important thing to know.

AMAZING!!!!!!. This app is sooo useful! I used to hate getting dressed because I never I knew what to wear. It’s so fun and easy and barely takes any preparation. I definitely recommend this app!!!!

Bug or glitch and does not make sense. It tells me it’s going to be 91° and clear skies then when I read the mini paragraph they have, it says bring some shades the forecast is cloudy how is weather conditions clear but it’s says cloudy also and I check the hourly and there’s no cloudy conditions in site for the whole day. Also why am I wearing shades if it says it’s going to be cloudy (anyone it’s not right I’m just proving how it’s not making any sense)

great but.... I think this app is amazing. I mean it puts apple’s weather app to shame. but, as someone with a fear of thunder, i think the only thing that would make it better is if it told you if there was thunder in the forecast or not. besides, that I love it completely

Needs a bit more improvement. I love this app but it needs more improvement like putting a weather radar on the city your in. I recommend this app to people who are interested in the weather.

Entertaining to use. Has a unique approach to informing how's the weather going to look or feel like. Not boring at all. Hence, it makes the notification much less annoying and actually downright quite useful. Not always but most of the time. The weather app I'm sticking with.

Cute and fun.. This is really cute and a good weather app. I was wondering if maybe the pollen count index can be added for those of us with allergies in the spring. It would be amazing. Thank you for such a cute app.

Unresolved Issue, no longer using app. i love the simplicity of the design and how personable it makes forecasting, though I’ve chosen to discontinue using this app. When I upgraded to 12 Pro, timed notifications stopped coming in on the home screen and I haven’t been able to get them back. I even reached out to the developers and I received no response :( it’s a shame because this app really is great

Suggestion. I think it would be a good idea to have days on the clothing items. I have a uniform for school so it would be nice to be able to have only the uniform show up on weekdays. Otherwise great app~

Good idea. Great app overall. I love the design and playful descriptions, but I’ve experienced a few issues. I haven’t received any notifications like it said, and also the widget doesn’t display the same information as when I open the app (widget says shorts, app says pants). Super useful though.

Great personal app. Nice job! As a Cornell alum I’m a fan of the brilliance coming out of the school. :) I wonder if there’s a way to have a calendar trigger, like if an event starts with “meeting” then Brella tells me to wear a work outfit versus my work-from-home clothes. That’d make this 10 stars out of 5 especially if I didn’t have to look at my schedule AND the weather to determine the kind of outfit to wear. Would require more setup at first and customization but I’d be down!

Really nice looking weather app. Fun. Nice looking. If you want a change from all the tech looking apps this one is different. Yes you can get all the details but you have to scroll. I’m happy getting a kind message when open the app with the weather in a fun sentence form. Can’t wait to see what this developer dreams up next.

great app!!!. this is a really good app and is very accurate! i love the organization and how all the colors work well together in one app. i like how it can also tell you what to wear based on your preferences, which i really need, and it can also show you the weather for the next couple of hours. other than these things, something i would recommend for the creators of this app is so that people using it would be able to see what they can wear for the next day. because i like to prepare my outfits the day before, so i need to wait for the next day to be able to see what the app tells me to wear. other than this the app is great!!! 🥳

Lots of fails. My personal forecast for today reads as follows (all typos are Brella’s, not mine): Good afternoon, [my name]! You might want to bringing an umbrellaAs they say, you’re keen as a peach! Ponder fruity phrases wearing yourYou should wear your jeans and t-shirt, plus take your sweatshirt. The forecast is rain throughout the day. =-=-= And then when I go into the menu and tap “Send feedback”, a grey bar appears near the top of my screen and the rest of the screen dims a little, and that’s the sum total of the result of my tapping “Send feedback”. I’m thinking maybe this app can’t handle the iPhone XS Max, and/or said phone being set to increase font size somewhat. There’s definitely *something* in my setup that it can’t handle... Also, once you choose a cutesy-ness level during initial setup, you’re stuck with it: there’s no way to change it in the settings. Aaand I keep finding *more* things wrong. Through deleting and reinstalling the app several times so I could change that setting that’s only available during the initial setup, I have discovered that it’s not changeable even then: choosing the most straightforward and non-cutesy setting has no effect. Your forecasts will still be full of meaningless fluff phrases (the developers call this “personality”). Oh...and I just noticed Brella uses Dark Sky for its weather, which in my experience is not as accurate as Accuweather. I think this is just not a weather app for me.

Amazing!. It’s definitely a great app and concept, but the only thing I would change about it is maybe being able to see what to wear and the weather for the next day since I don’t like to find what to wear that day. Other than that this app is perfect and the customization is also a very good factor.

Great app but... Love the app but they really need to add a feature so you can preview what to wear the next day. I like planning my clothes the night before and this app doesn’t make that possible yet. Really hope they add this!!

So cool!. Love the feel and layout of this app. Haven’t received any notifications yet because I literally just got it. I bought the in app purchase to help support you. So time will tell if this is my daily driver. My only HUGE issue is that I’m a mans man. Muscles beard you know what I’m sayin and the pink icon color doesn’t really work for me. You should make several icon options for us to choose. Like a manly black or blue or orange or green. Lol anything but pink. If my buds see that I have this on my homepage I’m toast, finished and will forever be an outcast. So for now it will sit on page 3 in a deep folder and in page 3 of that folder to keep me safe. 💪👍😎

Move over Apple Weather App!. Just came across this app for the app of the day, I was intrigued by the description of the app and decided to download it. After setting it up (which was a very easy process) it’s just so cool and unique I’ve always wanted a personalized weather app. There’s even a few little fun Easter eggs when you select certain clothing items. Love the look of the app too! I think I found my new everyday weather app!

Best daily weather app yet!. VERY well thought out and designed daily weather forecast! Giving the designers two thumbs up for this one👍👍 ...users, don’t forget to head over to the settings and adjust your personal settings for wind, rain, etc. so you get a notification tailored exactly for you. Love this one guys!

Does not forecast accurate weather. Today it says “Hi of 42 and low of 42”, last night is says, “Today will be a low of 34 and a high of 35 degrees”. The actual weather is 28-42 today with fog. I am going to refund the application if possible. Asking Siri, “what’s the weather” is more accurate”. One star because the primary purpose isn’t useful. Also, I use dark sky and it doesn’t match the forecast on that either.

Great! Just one thing.... I love it!! Brella is perfect for helping me and my family with the weather, and especially with the outfit choices! It’s wonderful. Just one thing: perhaps make an option to either be able to choose between casual or dressy... instead of just suggesting jeans or a dress no matter what we have planned for the day. Thank you for making this app!

Love it!!!. The options to set your personal temperature and what to wear considering that temperature is awesome! Just wanted to say that making the app personable for anyone is really important and impressive.

Notifications don’t work. The UI/UX is well conceived and executed for the most part, but I’ve never actually received a notification in the morning. First thing I did was check the notification settings- still no fix

Amazing Design and Color!. As soon as I opened this app, I knew that I would love it. It’s so simple, but the colors are so bright and eye catching. The design is simplistic and it makes the weather easy to follow. The interface is colorful and sleek, making this my go to weather app. The notifications that this app sends makes choosing what to wear in the morning so much easier. You can select your desired range of temperature for each article of clothing, and when you wake up in the morning, the app tells you what you can wear! Amazing and simple, my favorite weather app I’ve seen so far.

Great app!!!. I use it everyday and it’s clever, too. Better than competing weather apps because it has a personality. Looking forward to more updates (the new Alexa addition is great)!

One of my favorites. Allows you to really tweak the app for customizing your personal preferences concerning what you want to wear in every type of weather condition and temperature range. I have not seen any other weather app with these advanced features.

Suggestion. I think there should be a separate category for outerwear. The app telling me to wear a long-sleeved shirt and also pack a t-shirt isn't particularly helpful. That's my only complaint though, the app is super helpful otherwise.

Love it. I really like this app but i would love it if there was a way for the notification to happen a day in advance, like getting an alert at 8:30 pm for the following day’s weather- maybe it already does it ? i just go the app today

Brella review. This is a really good app. Need to do better weather forecasts, so you know what to wear each day. Also it should show me what to bring in my shrine kit and what to pack in my bag for the day. Did you tell me what shoes to wear wear. Issues show me places around the city to shrine and make witches ladders. Preferably secluded natural areas that are easily accessible on foot.

I really love it!. The personalization is really great and I like the jokes, they’re so funny! It’s also sooo accurate for the weather. The design is very visually pleasing and intuitive. I also like how there is a Siri Shortcuts feature so that you can say a phrase to get the weather from Siri. Overall, I’d recommend this app to anyone who wants to not only see the weather, but enjoy looking at the weather too!

Doesn’t work. I really like this app, but it does not load for me. I’ve tried downloading it again and it opens, but after that it gets stuck on the loading screen.

my friends who don’t have the app. I love ❤️ 💕 you guys . One suggestion For my friends who don’t have the app and live far away or in the same city I should share them the recommendations as what’s the weather in their city and what clothes they should wear, It could be like , I live in Seattle and Tom lives in new york, Tom does not have the app. I say , hey Siri ask Brella to send Tom the weather of New York . Tom gets a greeting from Brella and screen shot of the weather and clothes he should wear.

Best I’ve encountered. I love this app, it’s so easy to use and I love the witty comments, and so accurate! By far my favorite weather app, I have no reason to look for anything more.

Not great. I want to like this app. I really do. The problem is that for the last 2 days the morning notification has said it was 85 outside. Yesterday it was actually about 30 and today it said the same when it was 5 degrees outside. At first I though maybe I didn’t finish setting it up. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case either. No sense in having a weather app that gives REALLY BAD advice.

The app is great but there are some issues. I love this app I check it every morning and it really helps me get to where I need to be on time. However i do have one issue. When I create new clothes or add clothes from the suggestion box it sometimes recommends that I wear jeans and a tee but also pack my dress? I think more categories are needed to clarify that long sleeve shirts and dresses are not outer garments and vice versa. After that change, this app would be 5 stars.

9 degrees off!. I have been using this app for a while without ever comparing it to anything (stupidity on my part I guess) when today, I mentioned to someone that it didn’t feel like 90 degrees today at ALL. They replied with, “uh because it’s 81 degrees”. Sure enough, I checked multiple other sites and it was 81. Proceeded to compare hourly temps and Brella was consistently 100% off. Deleting this app and getting another.

Love it but... Love this app given the fact you can customise weather settings that can guide you on what to wear ! To improve how about adding rain notification alerts and support for Apple Watch ? Perhaps 2 alerts 1 for tomorrow’s weather ?

Great app, but not connecting to Alexa. I keep getting a connection failure message (we couldn’t connect to our servers) when trying to connect to Alexa, and as it suggests, I tried again later, and no cigar. I love the idea of the app but the real functionality for me comes in connecting it to Alexa. Can this get fixed? Or is there a step I missed?

Inaccurate temperatures. Inaccurate forecasts make this app much less useful than it could be. The forecast on Brella frequently shows a high that’s 4-8F higher than the reliable app I usually use. So Brella often recommends clothing that is NOT appropriate for the day’s temperatures. Cool design but fails without accurate weather information.

Scam. Every cold day it tells me to wear shorts and shirt. Seriously! Who wears shorts and shirt at 60? Prophecy isn’t your game, don’t quit your night job. Always tells me the opposite of what I need to wear. So guess in a way it works, if I don’t listen to it. Nice try but learn weather and basic logic before writing algorithms.

Notifications don’t work. I wanted to receive notifications through the free trial, but I never received any. I even tried to purchase notifications, but nothing happened. The app still works, but I don’t think the notifications do.

Serves its general purpose, but could be just more advanced.. Now, don’t get me wrong: this app is amazing. I don’t even recall an app like this that tells you what to wear for the day, especially not in such a witty way as this. I’ve used to for what to wear, of course, but I’ve also used to to determine which kind of armor I should wear (Survivalcraft style) as well as any extras that might be crucial in a more extreme situation, such as a diving suit, or a dust mask, or anything for life-or-death situations, such as a gas mask or fire suit. That being said, though, the app only earns a good rating because it could utilize a whole lot more than just the basics. For example, it could warn me about severe weather and abstain from telling you what to wear during the emergency. Another feature it could have is more options for clothing items, such as for wind and UV index, as well as more options for specific layers of clothing such as outer upper body, or even better, the user can create their own layers each with their own recommendation conditions. There’s so much potential with such an old app. Overall, nice app to have, but there should be an option for those dedicated meteorologists and weather fanatics to have more specific clothing recommendations for more specific weather conditions. Plus, it once has a crash with the Feels Like setting, which normally I’d say that they probably didn’t catch that during testing, but given how it could’ve bricked my app for good, and how easily it should’ve been noticed, that’s another reason why it only earns 3 stars.

Problem. This app keeps using an incorrect location (location tracking turned on). I’ve even deleted that town from my search to see if that would help the app locate me more accurately: no joy.

iPhone only!. Installed it on my iPad. Discovered it’s iPhone only. Deleted it before it finished loading for the first time.

Great App, terrible forecasting. “Bring your shades it’s going to be cloudy all day”? Sorry, it’s Texas...100 degrees +...not a cloud in sight. I’ll stick with an app that can accurately forecast the weather.

Useful for weather not for outfits. I downloaded this app in a search for something to guide me in planning my outfits according to the weather. Ideally it would have some nuance and suggest a wool coat versus a blazer versus a spring jacket and help me decide whether to go with a knit scarf or a silk scarf. I don’t expect my ideal, but this app hardly offers any help in the wardrobe department. Its built-in clothing choices are “t-shirt,” “jeans,” “shorts,” and “winter coat.” Very generic and choices I could easily glean myself from the temperature itself. The app does allow you to input your own clothing items for it to work into its formula, so I did quickly add more specific items like “leather jacket,” “leggings,” “denim jacket,” “booties,” and so on. However, instead of making my daily choices more specific the app just tells me to wear more clothes. For example today the weather will be “freezing,” “cold,” and “cool,” (you choose which temperatures fit each category) and the app has told me this: “wear your sneakers, jeans, and winter coat. Plus bring your leather coat, sweatshirt, and booties.” Ummm.... sure, I’ll just pack an entire second outfit today. And again, this is the information I already have when I see the high and low temperature for the day. I know I have a leather jacket and booties and a winter jacket and sneakers in my closet. I can kind of already gage that I’m going to wear pants and not shorts. I do not find the information it presents to be helpful. The app works smoothly and loads quickly and it has a visually pleasing interface. I just wish it would help me style a weather-appropriate outfit or settle on one outfit that is layered accordingly. Small additions that factor weather conditions would be great too like, “it’s windy today, wear a ponytail,” or “sun’s out, grab your shades,” would help tremendously and give me information beyond the temperature I can already see on my home screen. I will not be keeping this app at this moment.

:/. So I was able to get the “notification” on my widget screen before I updated the app, and now I have to pay for them? Looks like I have to find a different app to use 🤦🏻‍♀️

Creepy. I really liked the app at first but then it started to send notifications that were a little creepy at the beginning. One of them was, “I could break that passcode it 0.2 seconds, you call that a lock screen?” Then it proceeded to say the weather as normal.

Great design, what about forecast?. Today (August 06th) Madrid’s forecast was (and still is!) Clear. Well, there’s a thunderstorm right now and I am all wet because I did not bring an umbrella with me, because there was 0% chance of rain... thanks, Brella.

Disappointment. This app was about to be great, but then I realized there wasn’t a way for it to tell me not to wear a dress when it’s windy. Can tell they didn’t consult dress-wearing people in the creation of the app...

Not accurate. Will never install this app again:. It says no rain and I head out on my bike. Starts pouring down middle of the ride. Please don’t get this app, use the Apple Weather app instead. Also, their push notifications in the morning is not even for my location. Notifies me about the weather of a location 1000 miles away! Great job...
