Not Helpful. I downloaded this app because my husband and I lost the controller for the tv in our room and we didn’t want to have to keep stealing our daughter’s controller. I end up having to use her controller twice as much now because I have to use it to turn the tv on AND now to approve that my phone should be able to access, where as before I would just turn the tv on to the right channel and be done with it.

Not great. I bought the the pro version many many months back and now when I try to use certain buttons it’s wants me to buy it again! This just started. It’s not that great of an app anyhow, you have to scroll page after page to get to a certain buttons of the remote. It seems like all the main ones could be on the same page.

TRASH AND WASTE OF MONEY. I bought this app to have a more convenient access to my TV since I always have my phone w me and can’t never find my tv remote thanks to the kids or bf just to find out the app glitches ALL the time and doesn’t even connect automatically to the TV, along w the fact the TV gets deleted from the app as soon as u turn the TV off and in order to connect it back again is by turning the tv on USING THE ORIGINAL TV REMOTE. sooooo what’s the point of buying this app again!!!!?

WiFi connectivity problems. The app is a life saver since we have misplaced the remote for our Samsung TV. A big issue I have with this application after two days of using it that it interferes with the WiFi at home. It slows down tremendously other applications from using the WiFi. I have to reset my phone, or reset the remote control application. Or turn off the WiFi and go on data when I want to use another application. It is a big inconvenience at times.

So far so good. I really like the app so far. I was really annoyed that I had to pay for the main functions I needed. BUT it was cheaper than buying a new remote and it works well. The app can turn off the tv but not turn it back on. I assume because the tv isn’t connected to the WiFi when it’s off so the remote doesn’t work. But I’m not sure.

Great app. I really like that you added the ability to turn on your tv from an off state👍🏽, it would be nice if you moved the directional pad to the bottom of the screen instead of the top.

Worth the money. This is actually worth money and you only pay a one time payment instead of a weekly fee 🥴this has been a life saver since my remote control is in a storage unit at the moment. :)

Having connections problems. Hello i have connections issues with app i currently have a iphone 8 plus and trying to use on samsung curve tv but is not longer connecting any more thank you

Samsung remote. It actually works surprisingly well, I have no issues with it. There’s a small leg but really nothing to complain about.

Enter/Select button no longer works.. When I first downloaded this app and upgraded to pro, it was great. I would often take over Samsung TVs at family’s houses I visited and they would wonder how I “hacked” their tv. Lol. But moving forward for practical everyday use, the Enter or Select button just magically stopped working one day. I reinstalled the app, restored my pro purchase but to no avail. Unable to select a menu option or channel. Everything else works fine, just wish this issue could be fixed.

Cool!. Ofc like most apps it costs money but for the price it was worth it. I’ve been without my remote for my tv for about a week now and this one comes in handy! Could use a little work it lags here and there but other than that it’s great!

With one exception. This app has been wonderfully handy and helpful and until recently, absolutely reliable. But beginning about 2 months ago it stops working after a few times using it. We wait until the next day and the same thing happens. I don’t know what the problem is or whether it is the problem of the app or that of our two iPhones and 2 iPads. We scramble to find which has not been used that day yet. I intend to drop a note to the developers and ask what happened and on whose part. We really appreciate this app and hope our little problem can be resolved.

Update. It could use an update making it easier to use to use make it look like the remote the navigate has button was good but its its only a few things they need to be taken out or taking out other than that it’s a good app!!🔥

Extremely UN USEFUL. The most important function is blocked and they want you to pay for it, so you can adjust volume and channel for Samsung plus TV, pull up menu and Mary hub but you can’t move around left or right up or down there are no functions for that, when you try to access them a notice pops up to convince you to pay for the pro feature, what a waste of time to try to trick people into paying

Works great!. Toddler broke the smart TV remote – phone app was a quick and easy replacement. Had to buy the upgrade to navigate through my streaming apps but we have decided it was worth it.

It works. It gets the job done, but not without difficulty. I have to exit out of the app and re launch to get it to work if I don’t use it for a few seconds or do something else on my phone. It’s not user friendly, but it’s getting the job done

Awesome Support & Great App. I had issues with getting the app to work on my wife’s phone after purchasing the app. I contacted support on a Sunday and I still got a response within two hours and they resolved the issue. The app works great, it just takes a bit long to pair with the TV at first.

Good but nothing outstanding or terrible!. Don’t get the rating of this review wrong, it’s a good application. It works as intended and that’s just about it. Nothing about this app goes “above and beyond” nor does it completely fail you. Aside from the one or two times it locked up trying to find my tv (which could be my phones problem as much as anything) this app is worth the pay out.

A good app. This app works well for my 65 inch Samsung 4K TV. I first struggled to use “smart remote” for Samsung but it always loose Bluetooth when you need it. What worse is that I could never connect back the Bluetooth, it flashing on an off like mad. This one connect to Bluetooth constantly and works really well.

Awful.. All it does is buffer and lag. And when it finally does connect to my tv, it only functions for a matter of seconds before I’m so frustrated I just turn off the tv and sit in silence. Also why would the app give me the option to turn on/off the tv if all it can do is turn it off? And if you want simple navigation or typing you have to shill $4 to the app?! Are you kidding me?! It’s menu controls on a free app! How desperate do you have to be the get some gullible suckers money in your wallet?

Trying to make you pay for what should be free. One of the “features” that Samsung tells you about when you buy this TV is the remote app. What they never mention is the $3.99 “premium” features of being able to do things such as enter text. Rip-off, and classic bait and switch from the same company that makes exploding phones, and tries to force adds down your throat onto anything that has a screen. Samsung makes great hardware, but should get out of the software industry, because they never know what it means to not take advantage of their customers.

I got ripped off! Do not use this app!. I downloaded this app awhile ago and I paid the 2.99 or whatever fee to use all of the features. In the pop up it clearly states it is a one time purchase, well it will not allow me to use it and is asking for the “one time fee” again. Not a new phone nothing has changed other then I had to turn my router off and back on. It will not connect to the TV. Just keep looking this remote app is not worth the hassle.

Paid for pro. So I’ve had this remote for a year and a half which has been great for when we misplace our tv remote. I paid for pro and it worked for a year and a half but now all of a sudden it wants me to pay for pro again. I don’t use it that often but it’s a little upsetting it’s wanting me to pay again. Not sure If I’m going to, or if Ill just end up just uninstalling it. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for that

I’m deleting it!. It’s like you have to pay for the main things you would use on the remote like Turning the tv on. Is it truly compatible with my Samsung tv because it’s definitely does NOT have left and right arrows for me to be able to choose which app I want to use .. if it does I’d probably have to pay for it . Luckily I found my remote because this was a waste of a download!!

Works great. App works great. I’ve only had a couple small but annoying issues. 1-Almost every time I use the keyboard to type something in it always shows up twice on the tv, and sometimes it screws up searches and you have to be careful if your typing in usernames and/or passwords. And 2-Each time I want to connect to the TV I have to dig out the original remote to give the app permission to connect to it. (I’m sure that’s an issue wit the TV software, but annoying nonetheless) other than those couple of issues I enjoy the app.

Great App for Samsung. This is an awesome app for those who constantly lose their remote. Only thing is, it’s not really free.....you have to pay less than $5 for the full functionality, but it is well worth it.

Scam app. You use it once and next time you use it it says uh oh needa buy premium what kind of app does that either make the app free for users and have a premium or dont make it free to use at all and then turn off the ability to use i have mo remote now or way to connect to a new app because i need a tv remote to make the connection allowed which i dont have now because I THOUGHT THAT THIS APP WASNT GREEDY TRASH

Worthless. Worthless unless you pay for the app. It’s not enough to buy an expensive TV. You also have to pay for the app, otherwise each time you go to use the app, you get a pop up on the TV screen that you have to acknowledge with the TV remote before you can use the app . So basically whenever you want to use the app, you have to use the TV remote first-so what’s the point of the app? Come on Samsung-are you really that greedy?,.....Go Trump ..bring on some Tariffs..tired of greedy foreign corporations!

Randomly works. I’ve had the app for over a year and it sometimes will go weeks at a time without working even after paying for the full app. Currently, I haven’t been able to connect it for about a month. My husband also had the app and his seems to be working with just intermittent issues. Probably makes more sense just to purchase a new remote than such a finicky and frustrating app.

So much better. I usedanother Samsung remote app and paid $6.99 to remove the ads and it never worked! It would disconnect from the WiFi while using it and constantly. It is sad because before the updat it wasn’t like that. I paid the $3.99 for this and it is a dream!! So many options And features and never disconnects while using. Sometimes cheaper is better!!!

Really? Can’t do the one thing I downloaded it for. I downloaded this app because the app my tv told me to download has a weird thing where the select/OK button (the one in the center of the four directional arrows) only sometimes works. So the only reason I needed a different app was for that one button and nothing else. I get the app downloaded, connect my TV, go to try the select button, and it tells me I can’t use that one button without buying the premium version. No thanks!

Smart Remote for Samsung TVs. My app does not work all the time, for starters. I REALLY wish the app would allow me to select different sources, because: A. The buttons on the remote that came with my TV are too small and too close together. B. The buttons on the remote that came with my TV are not illuminated, causing me to frequently choose the wrong button in the dark C. The buttons on the app are easy to see, but because the source button is not offered, I have to have the TV remote beside me even when I use the app. D. My cable service is Comcast, and they offer a slick voice-operated remote. That device sometimes does not understand my choices, but it is improving. Still, it will not allow me to select different sources on the Samsung TV. So that’s two remotes that I need in addition to the Smart Remote App. E. I have a Blu-Ray disc player. The App does not provide any control over my player. That’s three remotes plus your app. You can see a pattern here. Study Sony remotes to improve your product.

Would be better if permanent. Has to connect while tv is on and phone is connected to internet and blutooth. If tv is off cannot connect therefore turn on. Kinda pointless. If you’re wondering if it works better when you pay for it it doesn’t. It also disconnects and makes difficult to connect when switching between apps. You come back to it and can no longer disconnect to reconnect or anything.

Great use!. Still contemplating whether or not to pay $3.99 for the total use of the remote but it has definitely been helpful for showing the different channels and to work the tv with more ease.

It’s good, comes in handy.. The connectivity issue has definitely improved. I just wish we could use it to actually turn the TV on. I also think the UI could be a little more organized. But overall I am satisfied. I purchased the features and have been satisfied since. They are constantly updating it better. One thing I would love to see is an Apple Watch app for it. It would be very convenient to control the TV from my Apple Watch as well

This is a rip off and USELESS. You have to make an in app purchase to be able to use the arrow and selection buttons. You also need this purchase to turn on the TV. However, even after the purchase it doesn’t turn the TV on. It is useless for this reason. DO NOT purchase. There are other free remotes available that allow for all of the above features without requiring in app purchases.

Doesn’t run in background?. I paid for the full app and it works just fine. However if you go to another app and keep Smart Remote open in the background, the app loses connection! You have to close it and reopen. (NOTE: this only happens on the iPhone app. The iPad version stays connected). For me that’s a bug that’s needs to be addressed.

Let me power on the TV. I purchased this app, its handy when the remotes are temporarily lost or distant. The thing I hate most is when just opening the App to use on one tv powers on a tv in a different room. It is frustrating to often find the other tv on, just because I opened the app. Kindly remove this auto-power-on feature so I chose when to power a tv on or off. Your app does not have a settings section where one can select their preferences. Kind of useless from that simple perspective.

Disappointed. This app has been glitching and having terrible problems. First being that you can’t copy and paste for numbers —- addresses or credit cards. No one wants to spend time entering in every detail when wanting to watch a movie or start a subscription. Thanks to this app— I wasted my whole entire night trying to get a subscription that is just not possible for me to cut and paste with this. I paid the 3.99 for keyboard feature. Not worth it. Get a different app

Needs improvement. Payed for the full app and the enter button has no response I can change channels and volume but can’t change to other platforms or use the enter button to make a selection.

Freezes a lot. When it does work it works great. Most of the time it doesn’t want to work at all. Not worth paying for the app. Not recommended at all. Had to give it all stars in order for them to post my review.

Weird Glitches. This app have been really good so far but my tv has been getting weird glitches, when I'm not even using my remote my tv gets weird controls when I'm not using the remote or the app. Sometimes my device isn't even on and my tv just gets weird controls. Other than the glitches, it's been good!

It’s great but........ The app is great because my kids keep losing the remote but the directional keypad the one that’s up down left right it would be a little bit easier to use if it was on the bottom of the screen instead of the top just saying. Love it though

When hubby has the remote I still win. My husband has a history of turning the television up loud and then leaving the room, or leaving the house and forgetting to turn it down or off. I can lay in my bed and easily turn the TV up and down as well as off without having to walk all the way downstairs!! I love it.

Great app. Finally, a Samsung smart tv app that works even after you’ve turned your TV off and back on again, even the next day. You don’t have to “allow” all over again with an actual remote as you do with every other app I’ve tried. Granted, you have to buy the premium app for this to be true, but I promise you, it’s well worth $3.99. And for that you can use the app on more than one device, I have it on my Ipad as well as my iPhone. Highly recommend this app.

I love the remote but it every so often it wont find my tv?????. Every couple of weeks the remote app wont detect my tv even though they are on the same wifi. Usually deleting and reinstalling helps, but so annoying. Also the keyboard does not type to my tv. Would be 5 stars if it didnt do that!!

Paid app - it’s not free. Don’t bother. You can’t use this properly unless you purchase the pro version. Just get the official Samsung one instead as it let’s you use arrows unlike this one (arrow use is in pro version only. But you need arrows to do almost everything on a Samsung)

Driving me mad. download this app because my remote got damaged. But the app is driving me mad, every time I use the app it crashes or fuses to log into the TV, I payed for the premium app. now I can not wait for my placement remote to arrive. So I can stop using this app.

Won’t detected tv. I have to use this as when we bought another tv they said there would be no issue using two tvs in the same room. We had to buy pro because basic is useless and half the time it won’t connect to the tv. I love sitting in the dark waiting for it to connect. I wouldn’t recommend.

Touch pad navigation cannot work. Overall fine, but touch pad cannot work (it cannot be used for general arrow navigation, but can be used in web browser as a pointer). My tv model is Samsung UA78KS9500W. Hope can be fixed in future updates.

Connects to my Samsung 4K player as well as my Samsung Tv. So happy honestly Controls the 4K player in one room and can quickly switch to tv in other room when it’s time for kids to go to bed and just turn the tv off on the little buggers. So very happy. Keep up the good work guys.

If I go out of the app and into another app I have to manually shut down the Samsung app before it will connect to my tv again. Garbage. To try to force you to purchase, you will have to frequently authorize the app on your TV WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. If I have the remote in my hand to authorize….what do I need the app for?

Pointless. On the free version of the app you don’t even get access to the directional arrows which are the most used buttons for tv functionality. Completely useless, I refuse to be extorted just to be able to actually use the app.

Poor advertisement. I downloaded because it said I could turn off and on my tv. First off, you have to buy the app to be able to do anything. Second, it doesn’t even turn on your tv, only turns it off. And even then sometimes it glitches out. And no you can’t get your money back.

Work good but now some functions became dumb. Used this remote 5years and was satisfied. But recently some buttons like back, select, etc have no responses. Customer service doesn't reply to my questions.

Not that convenient. A basic version of this should at least let you turn the tv on and use a directional pad to move around.

Awesome modern UI. I love this app for not only its functionality but its design. So many other apps try to mimic the look of a 2010 Samsung remote instead of flatter, non-skeuomorphic design. The app connected really easily and now I can control my YouTube app with built-in play/pause and skip forward/backward 5 second buttons that my normal remote doesn’t have. Love this app!

Works well. Our remote suddenly died so I downloaded this app. Good price but I still have to turn on the tv manually. When my phone goes into sleep mode I have to reconnect the app to change the channel but it doesn’t take too long. Works well for Netflix, volume, etc. and I can turn the tv off. Overall it’s a good deal for the price.

This sucks!. The app has to ask permission from your tv in order to use it. So unless you have your remote handy (which I’m guessing you don’t because your downloading this app) then don’t waste your time or money!

Not working. Not connecting every time turn on/off the tv. You need to set the connection manually.

Works like a charm. I rarely put review about a product, because my expectations are always very high. But this app ( and yes I paid to get the touch pad and main remote, keyboard) works very well and is up to my expectations, just a little slow to connect sometimes ( my internet speed is 1Go/1Go so that certainly not an issue 😂) . For $5 I don’t have hassle with the cheap remote or plus and external keyboard, worth every penny . Great job 👍

Works perfectly. The only application that detected my TV and immediately worked. Neat and crisp design, better than competitors and asks less money for unlimited features. Samsung has dropped the official app for my not that old smart TV. The modern Samsung SmartThings app does not support my model. I tried 5 apps for remote control, all the rest have cluttered UI, ask 2-4 times more money, and some even could not connect to my TV. I recommend this one, you can evaluate it without going paid. Update: sometimes fails to detect the TV while the router shows its presence in the network.

I don’t understand why everyone is having problems.. works great for me.. I don’t have to have my remote to use this app at all... I allowed it once and it never asked again. Check your settings if you have this issue... I’ve tried a few other remote apps and this is the only one that works properly.

Bruh come on. First of all the app is convenient but has the worst flaws. First of all you can’t use half the buttons unless you pay. Second you can’t use the power button unless you pay. Third if you click buttons like volume/channel etc multiple times you’ll get ads like I get y’all have to make money but like come on

Doesn’t work always. It will come On the app On my phone. And it’s Not connect. Not after I turn off blue tooth and the tv a few times it works. It should work the first time. It’s the same WiFi network too.

It’s crap. Originally it was amazing. Then it updated and all sorts of bugs happened. It won’t let me select anything. It won’t stay connected to tv now (must have real remote to verify every time. No point to having app then!!!). Bought the full app but it glitches and controls go backwards. Don’t waste money on it, stick to real remote.

What’s the point. The concept is great BUT the app only allows you to use certain aspects of the remote.. in order to use the smart functions, you have to pay a fee for every device. Not practical in my book.

Nothing works besides arrows and the enter button. It makes things easier when you don’t have a remote but there’s other apps that are free and better then this I thought I was getting a lot more being it cost money but that wasn’t the case and it’s super confusing to use

4 stars. I want to be able to use the tools without having to upgrade and pay money. Ex. Up, down, left, right, etc.

Don’t waste your time.. Did not let me use the buttons to move around screen without purchasing. Purchased and it hardly works. If I press left it goes down. Buffing all over the place and can’t even use the swiping options, the pad doesn’t work either. Paid to use premium and it doesn’t even work. Don’t waste you $4.00.

It’s cool.... I downloaded this app because I don’t have the TVs remote. I like it it works well, however it keeps crashing and that’s a major issue because I paid for the smart remote pro. $3.99. Fix it!

New update caused it to stop working. Worked great before.. now every time I want to use the app it requests permission from the tv - which I can’t provide because I don’t have the remote. Like duh... how can I allow the app to control the tv if I don’t have a way to control the tv in the first place! Ugh. They should have just left it alone it was great before.

Working great until now. I had purchased the app when I lost my original remote to my tv and it was working perfectly up until recently. It stopped connecting to my tv a few days ago. Then one day it connected again and then stopped again. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app, I’ve reset the wifi, removed it from my tv, nothing works

Hate this app. This app is aggravating me already. I think I want my money back. Also I downloaded it in my son’s phone and husband and iPad and still not working. I’m getting tired of it. Not looking so good.... Ok, so first of all, I was just trying to look for a free remote app for my Samsung Series 5 TV, so it thought this would be perfect, but then once I actually got the app I realized you had to pay just to press the “OK” button. There is also so much lag in this! My TV was pretty new, so it was fine before, but now, it can barely do a thing! Was not very impressed with my installation.

Amazing features. I bought the pro version and almost all important remote features are available. Specially the mouse pad for surfing the net it works as charm.

Wants me to purchase again. I purchased this app years ago and it worked fabulously. But I had to redownload the app and now it is telling me I have to purchase it (again) in order to use services I was using previously. Same tv, but new phone with same Apple ID.

If the Developers See This PLEASE READ. I really liked the app as it replaced my broken remote. I have a 2012 E Series Samsung tv and it connected for the first couple days and then stopped connecting. I also bought the full version to be able to use all the features but whats the point of having the app if I can’t use it. Please fix this

Worth it? YASS. It works so well but if you have TV older than 2010 It won’t work. But you only have to pay $3.99 a month. So I think you should get it and you’re welcome 😇

Must Have. This app is great! It controls my Samsung 4K Smart 55 inch Curved TV better then the boring remote that came with the tv! It’s worth the little bit this app costs, I love it. Try it out

Remote. This remote works really well. All the features work and it’s just all around a really good way of not losing your remote

Half of the features suddenly stopped working. Here I am stuck on channel one because the remote has decided that the channel changing feature is no longer functional.

Easy to use. Easy to use friendly app works on the WiFi The tv should be in the sane WiFi Better than the app from Samsung co.

Connection. The connection only works for a few minutes. If you would like to do something while watching tv or simply watch a full episode, when it’s time to use the app again you have to verify on the tv for it to allow you to use the app. It continuously does it when you sit for a while.

I’m mad I even wasted my money. The select button does not work WHATSOEVER!!! I Can navigate and to everything else but when I try to select anything the button does not work for anything at all! What’s the point of a remote that can’t select anything! Especially when you have to pay for it

Good app. I like the app the only annoying thing is after each TV reboot I have to manually hit allow on the TV every time I need to use the app, which is a bit annoying.

Waste of money !!!. All this app does is glitch. You can’t scroll because it’s too slow or something. You have to press the buttons like 100 times till they actually work. I can’t believe I wasted my money on this. Some features work and other things just don’t work at all, might as well go buy a real TV remote for your tv.

Solid 3. Weak 4.. I rate this app a 3 because it crashes and bugs out when connecting to my tv. But it’s a pretty solid and functional remote especially when you constantly lose yours.

Total waste of money. After reading all the reviews on Apps store I purchased this app. And it is total waste of money. The app takes at least 5 minutes to connect with my TV. After connecting, it doesn’t work smoothly, every time I need to close the app and reconnect to do anything with this app.

Great, then not so great. Worked great until I changed my WiFi password. The app is now forever stuck trying to log onto my WiFi with the wrong password and there is no way to reset or get to setup menu b/c it’s stuck trying to login. Deleted the app and reinstalled and it still stuck with the old WiFi password.

Used to be 5 star. When I first purchased the upgrade to use the full app I loved it! It worked great until one of the updates. After the update I lost some of the accessibility to some of the “paid” functions. Can’t get a reply from anyone for help.

It glitches sometimes. We always lose the remote to our tv (it’s tiny and black) so this is my go-to. Great app, it just glitches sometimes and my tv doesn’t always show up. I wish you could save a tv

Does not work with VPN. This app will randomly crash when connected to a VPN and will not connect back to the TV until you disconnect from VPN. Once you connect back to TV, you can connect to VPN again. Since TV is on the same Wi-Fi network as the phone, it shouldn't use the VPN which leads me to think this app is tracking users and trying to send that info to the developer.

Could be better. I paid for the premium version. It could be a better app. You can’t use the mouse pad on TV other than in the browser. You can’t delete a TV you mate once and remain in the TV list forever.

Doesn’t all ways work. It doesn’t always connect to my tv which it very annoying , I get up early an I turn down the tv because not all of the kids are up yet this simple task has proven to be a challenge because this app doesn’t always work properly

Poor Remote. I paid for the app and purchased full remote. Remote is good but every few days it needs the tv to ‘allow’ this app to access it. This is very annoying. If they can fix this issue then this will be a great remote app.

I want my money back. There is no remote without paying $4. The $4 gives you the ability to swipe up down left and right, without premium you could just turn it on or change the volume. So mad. Then after the first day it stopped connecting and I had to buy a different app. I just want my money back now. Save yourself.

I give it 4 stars because... The remote works great when it can connect. Many times it does not connect. If I restart my tv that helps but then restarting the tv every time also gets annoying.

Useless. App cannot turn on tv. Will only control tv when tv is turned on from traditional remote. Also every time you turn tv on attempt to use the app you need to pair it up again. App does not have all the same controls as the standard tv remote. Deleted the app and will continue to wait for an app solution that replaces the full functionality of the standard Samsung tv remotes.
