Accurate and Easy to Check. I am a board certified physician and I am blown away by how accurate this was. I tested this on my own prescription my glasses and the measurements were spot on.

Great instructions. It was fantastic to use. Instructions easy to follow and we’re given verbally. A step by step guide. Only problem I had was how far away to hold the phone.

Useless.. I couldn't get past the initial glasses test. The tilting part failed every time. My husband tried too and failed. Maybe it because I was using sunglasses? But I tried like 10 times so I don't know if it was user error or what but I did it perfectly most of the times and it still failed.

Best in class. This app is the best in class if you want to see you IPD it’s super easy and only takes a minute at most. It’s also great to know what setting you should use for VR

Seriously Amazing!. I’m a hard sell on lots of things, but this app is seriously amazing! Was recommended to us an optometrist who said she’d never had problems with any of its measurements. Mom ordered glasses online with the PD measurement from here & they’ve been great. Just used this app to read my Rx off my current glasses & it’s spot on iirc! Definitely exceeded expectations :)

Couldn’t be easier!. Took 2 minutes.

Easy to use but does not measure consistently.. Of the three measurements I took the largest and smallest varied by 4 increments of .5mm (x, x+0.5, x+1.0, x+1.5). Was easy to use with voice prompts and pictures walking one through the process. It tells you how to adjust holding the phone and the card for the correct measurement. It takes the “selfie” for you no need to push a button.

Waste of time and a fraud. I wouldn’t waste my time with this app and I’m. Not quite sure who’s been paid to write anything positive about this app. The directions provide fake/ false calibration with a robotic response. In fact, I finally removed my glasses just to see what the automated voice would say. Of course, “right there” she states in her British accent; all the while my eyeglasses were never in the equation. FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD! I’m upset I have to even provide one star versus five negative stars. Do not waste your time.

Meh. I tried it a few times with Various results. Results varied so much and None matching the actual prescription. Not even close Seams a little sketchy. That being said I did give 2 stars because it is a nice idea and will be quite helpful and convenient once it is perfected.

User Frustration. This really doesn’t work well. Who knows how accurate the PD thing is (I don’t have the measurement from my doc), but it seemed at least within the same ballpark when I tried to measure manually. It was a horribly frustrating process, though. I tried the lens scanner to see how accurate that was for comparison. It made me restart soooooo many times, and when I finally got through it all and it was calculating, it said there was an error and that I’d need to restart. It had already been 30 minutes at that point, so I gave up. The process was physically difficult for me, and I’m relatively able bodied, and my prescription is pretty mild. I can’t imagine how others would do this, especially those who can’t see without their glasses.

It works!. I wanted to order a backup pair of glasses online and my Optometrist’s office won’t give me my PD. I used this app, ordered my glasses online and I see just as well with them as I do with the glasses I got from my optometrist. This is going to save me huge amounts of money now that I know I can see just as well with the glasses I order online for much less. Thanks for this app!

Wonderful!. Quick, easy, clear instructions to use while getting online glasses!

Inconsistant. Two problems: 1. I took 5 PD measurements and received 4 different results with a spread of 3mm. 2. The app doesnt have a back button after taking a PD measurement. As a result, the user needs to close the app and restart it if they want to take additional measurements. It’s free, so I guess the results meet my expectations. If you want to know your PD for entertainment purposes then this is great. If you need to get an accurate pd for something important then I don’t think this is a viable way.

It works but MAJOR concern.... DON’T USE CREDIT/DEBIT CARD, PICTURE GETS TAKEN!! I used this to test against another pupillary distance measuring app and pretty much got the same result which was great. I found that I did not need to use a magnetic card to get the result, I just used a paper gift card. My concerns come from the end just before it gives the PD result, it asks you to smile and then takes this picture which you’ll never find or see. I was smart enough to have my card turned around with no information showing but what was the picture for and what if I wasn’t smart enough to turn my card around? Why do you ask for a magnetic card which most will choose a credit/debit card with the number indented on the back? What information is this company storing and how are you using it? HUGE CONCERN...

Best App!. This app is so easy to use with voice instructions and instant results. So much better than other apps that waste your time with no guidance.

Serious privacy problem. The app requires access to Health and Fitness data. That data is not necessary to tell me the distance between my pupils. It does not matter that the data isn’t linked to me; you don’t need it and you won’t get it. I deleted this app in favor of EyeMeasure which does not require ridiculous access to personal data. Update…response to developer response: Thank you for the response. You failed to address my issue. My concern isn’t about how well the data is protected but rather that your app requires access to very personal data (Health and Fitness) not required for it to function.

Multiple issues. First, the app forces me to measure my PD when I only need to measure glasses. If I have 10 pairs of glasses to check (2 times each to reduce errors), I am forced to measure my PD 20 times, even though I know it perfectly fine. There is no way to skip the PD. Second, I am already extending my arm as far as I can but the app keeps insisting that I move my glasses closer to the monitor... Closer! Closer!! Closer!!! Sorry, my arm isn't made of rubber, it doesn't stretch to an infinite length. Third, on certain glasses it just goes into an infinite cycle of "something went wrong". And repeats the instructions, as if it is my fault that something went wrong. On those glasses that it does measure, there is usually a small error, but I guess it's unavoidable, due to the limitations of the method.

Really impressive. The reading was easy if a bit tedious, but 100% accurate. Currently seems to have a bug where it detects MacOS Chrome as a mobile device. Had to use Safari. I'd recommend you not rely entirely on user agent sniffing – there should be an option to bypass and tell it "yes this is a desktop"

Very helpful!. I downloaded 3 PD measurement apps. This was the only one that gave a consistent number no matter where I held my phone. For those of you thinking you need to use a credit or debit card to do this, you do not. You can use any standard *credit card sized* card with a magnetic strip on it (line it up with your bank card to make sure it’s the right size). You don’t show the front of the card only the back with the strip. I used my AAA card. It has zero personal information on the back. The instructions are very clear and say use *any* standard sized card with a magnetic strip on it so I’m not sure why anyone is freaking out about having to divulge sensitive personal info because you don’t.

Good app. Really easy to do but you have to close out of the app in order to start again. There should be an option to restart or close

Very helpful but please allow a back button. This seems like a wonderful app, but it’s really annoying that there is no way to back out of the system once you’ve begun. I got three steps into the process for checking my Rx and realizing I didn’t have my glasses with me after all, and couldn’t get out of it without unloading the app and redownloading it. Then I measured PD and wanted to do a second measurement and couldn’t get off the results screen. How ridiculous. All you need is a “home” option. How hard is that?!?

Exceeded expectations and delivered results. Wow, I wasn’t quite expecting such a great app to measure my pupillary distance. The app provides voice commands which are accurate and easy to follow. The developers made this app super easy to use and understand. Fantastic execution.

Great concept hard to use for kids. Wish there was a more kid friendly option

Quick and Accurate!. I tested a couple different apps and measuring IRL with a measuring tool from Payne glasses and this one gave us the easiest accurate measurement! It uses any credit card sized card for scale (can be a gift card, or just flip your card to not show info) and the voice instructions while measuring ensure you’re holding the camera in the right place. I highly recommend!

Perfect for us folks who can’t see without glasses. I so appreciate that this has voice. I can’t read without glasses and kept trying with other apps with no success. The voice instructions were perfect.

0 Stars!!!!!. If I could give zero stars I would. First I’ll start off by saying that I couldn’t even get past the card scanning thing and then on top of that, after using the site, I started getting random viruses on my computer. Don’t waste your time just go to an actual scanning machine at an eye doctor or something!

Do I use 63 or 62.5. Omg, I did this 10 times in a row, same location, same lighting, everything! 5 of them said 63.0 and 5 of them said 62.5 so which one do I use! Haha Reading reviews some people were concerned about information issues or privacy issues! I used my drivers license because my state is one that has the magnetic strip on the back! I guess that I didn’t think much of it when I did it but honestly, all of the information on your drivers license except for the license number is public information anyway! But using the license number is only going to get you the public information anyway! I’m just glad that I didn’t use a credit/debit card! But the developers response to those reviews say that they don’t use that information anyway but if it’s a concern, use your drivers license if your state puts the strip on the back!

Actually does what it says. Tried 4 diffferent apps before finding this one. Simple, accurate, & doesn’t try to charge a stupid fee. If you need a measurement, this app is straightforward & useful.

Great app got my PD Numbers In Under 5 Minutes For Free Really Love This App. I didn’t need a ruler only a credit/debit card to measure other then the scanning troubles I had to get the right lighting it was great💯

Best app. If your eye doctor didn’t write down the pd on your prescription than this is the app for you . I almost thought that I didn’t have any resort to find out my pd but I was so relieved that this is FREE and available . Thank you to the developers 🧡🧡🧡

Awesome app. I used a random card (don’t you your debit card or anything that has any personal information). But it didn’t take long at all the results were given super fast and accurate! I definitely recommend this app!

Amazing accuracy.. I’m shocked. I used a pair of glasses I knew the exact prescription of, and it got both SPH and CYL perfectly, and the Axis identical on the right and off by only 1 on the left. Seriously insane. More accurate than my optician!

This app works if you have 2 PD sizes?. I have an old PD measurement and I wanted to double-check with this app. The old PD was given to me by the shop where I buy one of my glasses and are different for every eye. RE 28,5 LE 29,5 I took the test a few times to make sure the results were consistent, it gave me 58,5 every time which is 0,5 more than my actual PD and only one number for the two eyes, so I don't know if this app has the option to give a different number for each eye if the measurement aren't the same.

Terrible. Terrible app! Very glitchy would have me scan the card on my computer screen not even be done reading it tell me to take my glasses off then go back to telling me to scan my computer screen again. Finally got through the first test started to analyze it for 60 seconds moved me to the second test something “went wrong” hit the back option in the corner then froze on the analyzing screen again had to restart. Did that multiple times will just call my eye doctor and get my prescription instead of trying to do this again. Thank God it was a free app and it only wasted my time and not my money.

Easy to use, and accurate. Since I don’t own an iPhone, I used an iPad Pro and this app to measure pupillary distance. The readings were extremely consistent. I imagine an iPhone would be the device to do these readings, since an iPad is relatively large and unwieldy in comparison. I’ve yet to confirm my readings, but so far, the software looks solid.

beware of data collection policy. To measure, the app requires a magnetic strip card. In most cases, people will use credit cards found in their wallets. By virtue of taking an image of the card, the app collects your credit card information, partially or fully. It is not clear if the images used are deleted or retained, and if the image scanned are used to extract additional information (e.g. name, card number, exp date, institution, etc) beyond distance/scaling measurements. Normally I would think about these issues before using any app, but now I am regretting having used it knowing a picture of my credit card is on their servers. EDIT: the developer policy states the company will make “reasonable efforts” to apply an obfuscation algorithm on the image for details. It is still not clear if the initial raw images are saved somewhere and how good this algorithm is. 2nd EDIT: developer response is reassuring.

Thank god for this app. Thank god for this app!! I saw my optometrist for my annual back in May already knowing that I wanted to order glasses online, as my health insurance coverage is most beneficial to get contacts in office. I thought when the office gave me my eyeglasses script, it would have my PD on it. Apparently that’s an extra type of fitting with a $25 charge 🙄 I Googled and found this app being recommended, so I downloaded it - happily, as it already had 4.9/5 star reviews. I measured my PD a total of five times and took the average of the five results to ensure my PD was as accurate at possible and ¡voila! It was perfect. THANK YOU TO THE CREATORS OF THIS APP!!!

Just Works. I went to an eye glass place and they did not want to give me my PD but mentioned the total of both numbers. I wanted to order another pair off of an online store and wanted to confirm the measurements and they were spot on with the number I recall. Easy to use too.

Saved Time and My Online Order. The online retailer recommended the Glasses On app to measure the pupillary distance. It was easy to find in the App Store, and easy to download. Seems legit. I don't know if it's more accurate or anything compared to similar apps, but since it asks you to hold a card on your forehead, it seems pretty legit if you ask me 👍

It worked. My iPhone 6 Plus was good to use not like another app I attempted. Got my PD which ideas I was looking for.

Would recommend. Reasonably accurate PrescriptionScanner but it was a challenge to get the card in between the dots.

Terrible. The app crashed when I first tried to open it, but eventually worked on my third try. Upon trying to measure for my PD it never got passed the face scan part to even tell me it. 0/10 this app is not well designed

Measurements using magnetic card does not work. Don’t know what is going on, but it always gets stuck at Right There, keeps on scanning and nothing happens AT ALL. Tried multiple times with different cards but nope, refuses to work.

App is not user friendly. App doesn’t allow you to start over. It’s doesn’t have a back button or any prompts that allows you to retake the test. The screen just stays set in your results and you can’t click out of the screen or restart the test.

Not frustrated anymore. I tried several apps to measure my pd. I can’t see to do it alone. This was by far the easiest app for measuring pd. Thank you so much.

WARNING. They take a quick photo of you at the end for no reason. Reading through their terms of service, you basically give away all ownership of your photo, imaging, data captured by their camera throughout the entire process. VERY SHADY

Out of range. I got my Pd with no problems? I tried to scan my prescription, but it’s “out of range” of what they can measure right now. Please make it bigger💕

Doesn’t work. Make sure the dots are visible on your mobile screen for 20 minutes and that’s all it’s looking at. Tried moving forward backward rotating and even a different monitor and it still wouldn’t recognize the patterns on the website

PD not as accurate as it should be. 2 other apps agreed within 1 mm of what my eye Dr gave me. This one was off by 4mm which is enough to mess up a prescription. Also getting it to calculate was overly fussy.

Needs internet connection. The app requires internet connection although I don’t see a reason it should. I’m concerned about my privacy in case it’s sending my photos back to the company.

GlassesOn pd find. This was an easy process. It gave step by step directions.

Fascinating app. Very impressive software. A little tricky to get everything lined up but the voice prompts are excellent.

The dots on screen. It’s unbelievable frustrating that no matter how I aline the dots and card with the camera, it doesn’t work. I also don’t like how the app increases the volume when it starts explaining the steps.

Maybe IOS but not iPad. 100% useless. App says to switch camera to portrait mode to continue. I did that a dozen times and the app requested camera access nor did it ever connect to the camera, thus, I could never get past the start page

PD measurement extremely off. I measured my PD 3 different times with different cards and lighting conditions, and each time it gave me a measurement that was 10mm less than my actual PD. Didn’t find out until I got the glasses I ordered and they gave me a major headache

Wow what a nightmare. You need a separate laptop or computer screen to sync and measure with and my god what a nightmare it is to get it in synced and once you get it to work it tell me my power is too high despite my prescription being within the power the app discloses.

Credit card scan. Beware. I cannot believe that I fell for the app instructing me to hold my credit card against the screen and my face. It’s sure way to steal the card number and expiration date. I give 1 star because the app didn’t give me any warning about the obvious security problem. Cancelled my card.

Doesn’t work. Maybe because I have brown eyes? Lady just obnoxiously repeats herself despite the fact that I am doing what she is saying. Keeps saying my phone is tilted when it isn’t. Maddening. This is the third app I’ve tried and I don’t think there are anymore. So crazy considering all have mostly good reviews.

Horrible Idea. I’m sure the app works, but I have reservations about holding a credit card on my forehead for my camera and god knows who to see. For all I know, the image data could be sent over the web for someone to sniff my card. No thanks.

USELESS. It just repeats, “hold the card flat against the screen” over and over again. This, even though the card is flood against the screen, and I am holding with my index finger. I’ve tried many different colors of cards.

4 different measurements. I’ve done this about 10 times now and I’ve gotten 4 different measurements. I’m not sure how accurate this is.
