Verizon One Talk Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

The reviews are there for a reason.. This is the first review I have ever left for an app but it’s so bad and so costly I just had to. I figured I would give it a shot. I hoped that Verizon had figured out the bugs by now. Nope. I have 4 phones on this account and we’re lucky if more than 1 phone rings at a time. Sometimes no phones ring. We average at least 7-10 dropped calls a day. The majority we loose because its a towing business and the calls come from a call center in real time. If we can’t do it or the call disconnects they are on to the next company. I can’t even guess how much this app has cost me but it’s easily over $15,000 in lost revenue. There are some serious flaws in this system. Verizon, take down the app or stop charging for it until you figure out how to make it work correctly. Regretfully...

Terrible App - Terrible Support. Only get 1 star because zero is not an option. Have struggled with this app for months. Don’t even think about using this if your business depends on it! Customer support has not resolved issues after multiple calls. I finally gave up trying. I even switched phones because support said it was my phone. Guess what. The app is even worse on the new iPhone X. Avoid this app, and don’t fall for their sales pitch for the one-talk service. Call quality is often poor, and text messaging presents an array of challenges. Texts may or may not come through and cannot send pics. In theory, it’s a great idea Verizon, but it just is a clumsy app that is totally unreliable. Google voice has been doing it right for years—Verizon should take a look at their free app. GV is a much better alternative!

Needs Reliability Improvement. My company utilized this for about a year and a half and we dropped it today after several complaints from clients over that time. The only problem I had was the most important. Reliability. My desk phone on WiFi seemed to work seamlessly. However on too many occasions neither cell phone would ring simultaneously as designed/set up. The cell phones would have perfect signal and/or being on WiFi when I’d miss these calls. The worst part is I didn’t know how many calls I’d miss over that time from potential clients but would only know about the phone issues when loyal clients would figure out how to call me directly and complain that my main line would just ring, despite not ringing on my end. My phone would notify me too late that someone tried to call. If your company relies heavily on answering every potential client phone call, get a dedicated on a cellular line, I wouldn’t use onetalk voip. I just added another line and will field all calls until I can find a suitable replacement.

Terrible service, questionable business decision. I just read the reviews from up to 2 yrs ago. They have the same problems that I have to include the missed calls that never ring but then show up as missed calls. You try to call them back and it won’t connect and drops the call. Also the “you aren’t connected messages.” Calls that come in not being identified as a one talk call( meaning that is a business call). I had this expensive very frustrating service ( if you want to call it a service) since I started my business in Jul of 17 and have had the same problems. The recent up date seems to have made things worse not better. I just went to Verizon and was told that they aren’t trained to deal with One Talk and the only thing He could tell me was to uninstall and reinstall the app and call the support line and spend hours on the phone with them. (I spent about an hour and a half last night on the phone with them last night, going through several reps to and advanced rep only to get disconnected and no call back and I couldn’t call him back because I had no # and didn’t know who I was talking to at that point.)I mentioned that I may need to look for a better service and he said that may be my best option. As many mentioned One Talk wasn’t my best business decision.

Avoid at all cost!. This app is terrible. I didn’t believe the reviews and I wish I would have! I was led to believe it would be the answer I was looking for. One phone, multiple numbers, with the ability to text, call, etc. I have had nothing but problems since the day I installed the app. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app several times but it hasn’t corrected the issues. I have spoken with several One Talk Representatives and I get the same answer, “nothing is wrong.” How can nothing be wrong when I constantly have dropped calls and can’t call the person back for a couple of minutes because it won’t connect. The messaging is disabled so I have to close and reopen the app for it to allow me to send a text. It won’t disconnect the call so I have to close the app to disconnect. And it won’t alert me when I have a voicemail so I have to call in several times a day and waste my time going through the prompts. My regular phone service has never dropped a call or had any of the issues One Talk has. I can sit in the same location without moving and One Talk will drop my call but my regular service is perfectly fine. Explain that one. I have been a Verizon customer since they started up in my area. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’m rethinking who my provider should be. You would think with a huge company like Verizon they would take more pride into making sure their products work or offer a helpful solution.

Business problem, not solution. I was tired of carrying 2 phones- business and personal- and my Verizon rep sold me on this app. Worst decision I ever made for my business. Calls don’t ring through, callers constantly tell me their call gets dropped before they can leave a voicemail, and my calls repeatedly get dropped. As for the app itself, way too any issues for an app that has been around as long as it has. I get notifications for voicemails and texts and they never show up on the app, I don’t get notifications until days later, you often can’t delete voicemails from the app and your inbox quickly gets full, and there is no way to block numbers. My number previously belonged to someone with some serious credit issues and the collection and spam calls were constant for over a year. I still get at least 5 spam calls a day. Complete garbage, spend the money somewhere else.

Constantly losing text messages. This app has some major issues. I regularly get text message notifications, then open the app to find they are not there. Sometimes an error message pops up but it usually just doesn’t display the messages. I have this extra phone line for business and it makes it very hard to communicate with my staff and vendors. I’ve also found it’s impossible to unlink your sim to the number once you’ve merged the two together. I called customer support and because it’s a business line I need the business owner’s credentials, which I will never be able to get. Highly suggest using a different service until the bugs are worked out, whenever that may be.

Not Impressed. Where to begin…. 1.) Do not disturb is turned OFF, calls still don’t come through. I have to close app completely, turn DND on, then off again for it to work. Annoying. 2.) why are we not allowed to block #’s in the app? 3.) the amount of scam phone calls and text messages are ABSURD. 4.) you off a call filter app for non-business, why can’t the One talk app have that same feature? 5.) Can send images via text, but you can’t send a PDF via text. Why? 6.) the amount of dropped calls is outstanding and not in a good way. 7.) why do half of my calls sound like the other person is crinkling aluminum foil in the background? 8.) sometimes people calling me say that I sound robotic? Update: it no longer matters if I close out the app completely, DND is off and I’m not getting any calls. I am having difficulty getting voicemails and they get emailed to me up to 1/2 hour before the app shows I have a voicemail.

Frustrated small business. I should have listened to the other negative reviews before I sought to use Onetalk. We are a small service based business that needed to replace our old service line so we figured a simple alternative through Verizon Onetalk would suffice. After getting the service set up and the app installed on our phones we opened the floodgates for spam calls and texts. In addition to spam calls and texts, calls would come in to simply be dropped the second after you answer the phone. We didn’t even last a month using this service before we have decided to move on and put this headache behind us. I do not recommend using this app and the connected services offered until they work out the issues.

Unreliable and unstable. We have 115 users on OneTalk in my organization. I manage our telecom, and this by far is probably one of the worst apps I’ve used. We receive tons of complaints from our employees about how the app will stop receiving calls or just stop opening randomly after working for weeks on end. Typically a reinstallation of the app will do the trick, but it’s super annoying because the user we’ll have to set it up all over again. I myself have experienced this, and it is extremely frustrating. One other thing is that you will stop receiving calls if you haven’t opened the app in the last day or so. You have to remember to open the app at least once a day just to continue receiving calls. That’s pretty pointless. In my opinion. You might as well just use call forwarding instead of the app if that’s what you’re gonna get. I’ve spoken to tons of people at Verizon about this problem, and they assured me that their teams are always working to improve the service. However, after using it for just over a year and a half I can say it has not improved. Quite the opposite it has gotten worse. If Verizon decided to invest money into fixing all these issues, I bet you they could actually some of the other platforms out there. Such a disappointment.

Run away! False promises from sales team.. Switching my business line to Verizon One Talk has been a horrible experience. My number was ported before it was supposed to be, causing our field employees to lose contact with our admin team. Totally unacceptable! Additionally, setting up this service has been horrific. Jesse, from Sales, at Verizon One Talk assured me that they were going to “earn my business each month.” However, after two days I’m already moving my number to another provider. Sadly I did not read the reviews before choosing the service. That would’ve saved me a headache for sure. This has been monumental waste of time and money. I’m genuinely disappointed that a company like Verizon could provide such a poor service. They use a third-party company called digital coast to setup the service. I don’t know how many providers this company works with, but I would avoid them as well. They lack attention to detail and have poor follow through.

Improved but not enough still very buggy. Small improvements have been made to calling quality by allowing call forwarding to your devices normal number but the texting is still horrible. For a 17 year old app put out by a big technology adjacent company it’s appalling how awful the texting service is. Rarely works first try always have issues connecting to messaging regardless of service availability or wifi. Still no ability to search for key terms or flag messages to read later or to make sure others/assistants/colleagues/bosses read. I only continue to use as it is the only system in the US that offers the ability to have access to other numbers on one phone. But man do better

Horrible App. I wish I could give this app less than one star. My job required us to use this app as our call system. All I can say is it was horrible. Calls would drop after one ring, and I would receive calls when on do not disturb on my off days. Be ware! All of the calls show up in your personal call history which is frustrating since it clutters your phone. If you use the in app option for calls it will say onetalk in your personal call history to distinguish which is a work call to a personal one. This is better but still not okay. However, it doesn’t do that when you use the call through feature. Call through is even worse. It doesn’t show as a onetalk call in your personal phone history. Because of this it will say that your phone missed a call not the one talk app. The delay is horrible and more calls dropped with this. It’s a cool idea but with this much trouble the app is not worth it.

Horrible Lag Time. This app has a lag time between callers that makes talking with someone difficult. Also, the business customer service is horrendous! My One Talk was down in June unbeknownst to me until a friend called and told me they couldn’t get a call through. I was promised that it would be resolved the next day. When it wasn’t, I called again, and they had no notations of the previous call. I had to go through the problem again, only to be transferred to another person and repeat the problem for the 3rd time, not to mention that these customer service reps are obviously outsourced, so communication isn’t very easy. I was on the phone with them for approximately 90 minutes. I cannot be without a physical phone, so I went into a Verizon store and asked the guy to put the line on my cell phone. I thought was fixed until the bill the next month doubled. I called again only to be told I should’ve requested an advanced technician. Like how in the would am I supposed to know that??!!?? Also, it’s a different number that they cannot transfer you to. I requested the manager to get on the line and explain why the last technician did not tell me about an”advanced technician.” Then Sophie hung up on me. The phone rang immediately after, so I thought at first that it was an accident, but then the Verizon caller hung up again. Buyer beware!

Horrible. The app is slow to load, and slow to update with calls and texts that have happened since it was last open. Often times it doesn’t show all the texts sent from other One Talk clients sharing the same line. You can’t delete voicemails from the app, either—you get an error message and have to use the desktop client to successfully delete a voicemail. The app loses its connection to messaging on almost a daily basis and the only way to get reconnected is to kill the app and restart. It has the same problem on the voice side, too—in the middle of a call you’ll get “reconnecting” errors at random and have to wait for the connection to come back (and hope your customer doesn’t get frustrated and just hang up). Voice quality on calls is poor, with everyone sounding muddy and difficult to understand. We’ve switched over to Ring Central and have none of these problems, validating that it wasn’t our equipment or networking that was causing problems.

Don’t do it!. This app has nothing but problems. Constantly having to shut it down or re-download it. There’s no translation on the voicemails so you have to listen to them all the way through, the texting disables itself for no reason, texting and voicemails sometimes do not give notifications until you open the app, messages you’ve typed out will disappear if you switch to another app, speaker phone turns off if your on the phone and another call comes in...all in all this is not a good app and needs many fixes. It’s especially annoying coming from using an iPhone which is pretty much glitch free, translates voicemails for easier viewing, saves text messages you’ve typed out but haven’t sent yet, etc. We’re in the process of switching to another service because this one is just so bad.

Unable to Disconnect My Phone Number. The app worked fairly well while I was using it for my job. However, when I left that place of work, the workplace calls kept connecting through my phone even though I had deleted the app through the App Store - not just the Home Screen. My former employer has been very diligent in trying to disconnect my phone number from the account for the past few months but to no avail. The manager of the account has tried to disconnect all of the devices associated with the account. I’ve tried reinstalling the app to remove all notifications and delete it again, turning off/on the phone, and the other suggestions the Verizon Support Help has offered. I tried to report an issue through the App Store, but I was unable to select the purchase on which to report. I tried reinstalling the app to see if that would make it eligible to “Report an Issue”, but alas, no luck. I am still getting that work place’s calls. I would really appreciate some help disconnecting my phone number.

Worst thing I've ever done for my business. This app does not work at all and the tech support has failed me every time I made a complaint or tried to reconfigure the settings. From the first day until the last miserable day my business tried using this app, we struggled to receive/ make phone calls, check voice mail, could not log into our account, and received no actual assistance from Verizon. We lost money, clients, and our sanity trying to use this app. Not once did we have a professional conversation without static, interference, or dropped calls. It created a hostile work environment for our reception team and made us work harder than ever to assist clients. In my professional opinion, this app should be scrapped completely and Verizon should have never endorsed this complete failure for business phone management. The stress this app caused our team and our clients will not be long forgotten. Don't waste your time!

Constant Issues. I have the app for the business I work at as I must be available 24/7 for clients. I’ve had continuous issues with this app including but not limited to: dropped calls, missing voicemails, no calls coming through, texting disabled randomly for extended periods of time, the app has even uninstalled and reinstalled itself! I’ve had multiple instances where a client was unable to reach me on a weekend during an emergency because this app was not working properly. I’ve contacted the help desk numerous times to report the issues and request fixes only to be told they see no issues on their end and that I should uninstall and reinstall. I’ve stopped calling for help because it doesn’t help. I’ve resorted to having to uninstall and reinstall the app over and over again just to get it working again when it decides to freeze up. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because it is convenient in the few instances it actually does work.

ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL. Do not use this app or service from Verizon!!! It is awful. They have ZERO support staff to assist you with the TONS of issues you will have. Apparently their staff can be out of office and have no auto reply to let customers know. 2 weeks to get a response trying to alter the service. Verizon Rep threw their hands up because they couldn’t help with the issues. Verizon should get rid of this service and Blackwire the company that “sets it up” for customers and then provides “customer service” with reps who have no idea how to help. Only a percentage of our text messages went through, the calls were a nightmare, tons of spam calls and there is no way to block them. If there was a way to block them I could never get anyone to help me figure that out. JUST DON’T bother. We switched to another service and within a day are already much happier!

Works the way it should 30% of the time - on a good week. Constant static and dropped calls, sometimes 3-4 times in the same call. Constant incoming spoof calls. App suddenly stops working every few months and has to be uninstalled and reinstalled and if you don’t babysit it everyday - you might not notice it hasn’t been working for days on end - losing all those potential clients. People tell me all the time they called me and I can find no record of it. Worst performing app I’ve ever used! Do not switch to Verizon because this app sounds like the answer to yr small business phone dreams - its an absolute nightmare that’s probably cost me tens of thousands in lost revenue. I can’t think of 1 good thing to say about it. If I could leave less than 1 star it still would be too generous. This app is a complete and utter failure- the developers should quit their day jobs

Simple and easy. I was hesitant to make the switch given all the reviews I've read about this app but I figured it's worth a shot if I could get rid of carrying 2 phones. The app works well for my business. I get the same number of calls and voicemails. I'm not sure if maybe I'm just using a newer version of the app but I don't know what people were struggling with. Like any app there are glitches and considering most people have 8-10 things going on simultaneously of course your phone will do weird things. Anyways, if I were y'all I'd give it another chance cause it seems like they've worked a lot of the bugs out.

Ok but Needs Improvement. We started using this app after moving to a remote work model due to Covid. It has some functionality like the ability to transfer a call to someone’s cell phone, but this feature doesn’t always work consistently. We have a scheduled rotation among 5 employees to share the responsibility to answer calls. When I’m not on “phone duty” I select the “do not disturb” feature in the app AND turn of notifications in my iPhone settings but I STILL get brief but ignored notifications on my phone which interrupts any audio that I may be using at the time with other apps. I would like to see that glitch fixed! Overall, if you have a Verizon business account then this might be a good temporary quick fix. In order for this to be a viable long term solution though, Verizon needs to seriously consider revamping the app to be more efficient and user friendly.

Overall just ok. Overall the capabilities of the program are great. Having 3 people who can all answer their business line from one phone is very cool. The execution of it needs improvement. Problem 1: text messages do not always come in as soon as they were sent. This is a problem and needs to be fixed. Problem 2: when one user is on a call using the app it is not clear that is what happening, so unknowingly I was trying to connect to my voicemail and somehow it connected me to a call that was currently in progress but the call quality was so spotty it wouldn’t not have been possible to join in. If I was about to join a call, it should have said “3-way calling” option to select. Problem 3: the phone does not always ring from the calls coming in. That’s troublesome and I can’t quit place why this happens.

Credit where credit is due. I have an iPhone X, and prior to the current version this app was totally unusable: calls didn’t come through, notifications were sporadic at best, calls dropped, dialer didn’t work, the phone de-registered at least DAILY and you didn’t know it had until you tried to make a call then found out you had missed 20 calls and voicemails—the list goes on and on. But, the current version is actually more reliable. Please don’t misunderstand, the app is still horribly clunky and awful and needs A TON of work, but it mostly does what it’s supposed to do now, just not all that well. Fingers crossed that in the next version voicemail notifications will actually start to work—instead of having to call into voicemail multiple times per day to see if you have any! What do you say, Verizon??

Very unhappy, very frustrated. I went thru the process of porting my business number to Verizon One Talk but I’ve had numerous problems with this app in the few months I’ve had it. Multiple dropped calls mid-conversation, failures in the ability to make/receive calls, locked out of the website, and poor quality during the actual phone calls. I have no idea how many calls I’ve missed during these random outages, but I know they exist because I’ve tested it using a home landline. I spoke to a customer service rep who encouraged me to call back if I experienced any more issues, so I did but didn’t get a return call! I even provided details separately to customer service via the email address that Verizon itself suggested in a prior review, but I heard NOTHING back. Why encourage customers to provide more info to assist us but fail to actually assist us? Just to look good within these reviews? So add that to the list— failure to respond to problems communicated both via phone and in writing. Anyone have a suggested alternative that works well????

Just Don’t Get It. Figure Something Else Out.. Had to reprint business cards as I ended up having to give away the number I was trying not to give away because I have to hang up via the app and call from my main line. It is embarrassing having your clients not be able to hear you and you have to constantly call them back. Forget about trying to close a deal over the phone. Connection is terrible and it didn’t matter where I was. Billing is screwy. I’m 2 months into having this thing. I have paid a $75 deposit $75 for the first month $25 for the second and some unknown charge that seems to be haunting me. Verizon has one business consultant at this location and he’s good but no one else can make any sense of the billing in the store, knows anything about the app and the one guy that does can’t make the app any better. Hoping to work something out so I don’t have to eat these charges.

It works, barely.. Pretty fed up and aggravated with Verizon, not only for the service issues and so much other, but especially for this app and the business account. Verizon hyped this up like it was the best thing ever, not having to carry 2 phones for a separate business line, business hours, texting, calling, etc. While yes this app works, it is terrible in all honesty. Text messages are so delayed and magically disappear after clicking send at times, text messages come through hours later at times. Phone calls are spotty and most of the time it rings for 2 seconds and then goes away, not to be seen in the recent calls or anything. Therefore it sends customers to voicemail and half the time when you try to call back it says invalid number. The contact lists aspect is weird to put it simple. Sometimes calls don't even come through and customers don't get to happy about that. Its a terribly implemented software that needs to be revamped and improved. On the iphone 11 at that.

This App Is Barely Functional. Not to be dramatic but... this is ruining my life. Can I rate half a star? It works, but I am using this for work and the amount of spam calls I’ve received (upwards of 15 daily) since signing up has made it next to impossible to sort out clients from telemarketers. Also, I get notifications from spam texts every few minutes. It’s driving my insane. On top of that, the call quality is shoddy at best. Voices go in and out as if the person on the other line is somewhere with bad service, but it’s so consistently bad that I know it’s caused by the app. This is a great idea but not functional enough to do the job. Also, the call quality could be forgiven if not for the number of spam calls I receive. I cannot stress enough how MANY spam calls I receive daily. It has made it nearly impossible for me to get any work done without having the app on do not disturb, which almost defeats the purpose. I am losing my mind because of this app.

DON’T use if you want to succeed!!. I have had an open case now for along time just trying to resolve issues with the app. I just got off the phone with a Verizon corporate representative named Dreanna that has now told me that I should take my business somewhere else, for the third time. I have been VERY patient with this company. Their tech support calls or emails 3 days after you call with an issue. I have received several bad reviews due to not receiving voicemails and the vast amount of dropped calls. It’s not worth it. Update: The app freezes all the time, drops calls and just doesn’t work. They will do absolutely nothing to help. They send emails like once a month now that just say “we are still working on your issues” but nothing is ever done. Every time there is an update the app has to be uninstalled and re installed

4 Months of Using App. I’d have to say that this app has allowed me to work outside of my office which I couldn’t have done without it. Inbound calls forward from my business line to my personal cell phone and my clients are none-the-wiser. Most of the complaints I’ve read stem from making outbound calls from my cell phone through the app. That’s where I’d say a call gets dropped 1-2 min in 10-15% of the time. Not a very reliable probability if your business relies on heavy outbound calls. This app works great overall, and as long as I’m not always out of the office, it can be a short-term solution for working remotely and on weekends from home. I’d give it 5 Stars if Verizon can make their outbound calls more reliable.

Horrible app/ missed business. I’ve read the reviews on here and you should believe them. This app is absolutely horrible. I’ve missed phone calls, calls won’t connect, doesn’t send notifications for text or voicemail, won’t answer calls, doesn’t show missed calls. I’ve Verizon would be liable for paying for missed business from their lack of support with this app they would probably go bankrupt. I’ve answered calls when they do actually come through only for them to not answer or drop try to call back and it won’t connect or the number DOESNT EVEN SHOW UP in the call log even though I just answered it. App works great if you use the native dialer option but it doesn’t tell you it’s to the business line and if you’re using your personal phone like I am you don’t know wether to answer personally or business. I wouldnt waste your time with this app unless you want to add a line just for business because it’s absolutely useless to use in a personal line. To respond to the developer: you obviously didn’t read my review and were just responding to respond. If I wanted to use the call through I would. But as I said before it’s on my personal line and does not show up as a call coming through from the business. So I’m not going to answer my phone with every call as it was a business line.

Constantly frustrating. We got this app to manage our main business line. I am currently having to uninstall and reinstall the app in order to check voice mail because after a single use, the key pad options at the bottom of the call screen disappear. I literally cannot enter my voicemail passcode to get messages. This is a disaster for a business. I am looking into alternatives and canceling as soon as possible. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with customer service, and they could only recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app (across several devices, which takes time to get the pin emailed for each one) and even that solution only works once before the bug crops up again. The system has always been slow and buggy, and this is the last ridiculous straw.

1 Star is too generous. This is by far the worst decision I've made managing my business. The concept is great, but the application could only be worse if it were to curse at my customers when they call or text. I've given Verizon 2 months of my hard earned money to fail miserably at a service I was getting from a totally FREE app previously. To add insult to injury, I was charged more than $130 over what I was told when I agreed to give it a try. Shame on me for trusting Verizon and not doing my own research. If you click on all versions of the app, you'll see that it has a 1.5 star rating. I just got an email from a customer demanding that I release them from a $30,000 contract ready to start next week, because of "lack of response on our part." I'm beyond frustrated right now. I'm not showing a missed call or message from them all day. I reset my phone, and it shows it from last Wednesday. Right now, I just sent a video to my Verizon rep showing me attempting to open a message and the app continually just crashing. I explained that the recent app update has just made an already terrible system even worse. The response I got was that I am the only person they have ever had complain or have issues. I mean, seriously? Has America become so lazy that people think they can lie about anything and you won't do your own research? This is how a "valued customer" for almost 2 decades gets treated.

Use another app. I downloaded this after arranging a plan and meeting in a Verizon store. The app has never worked fully over the past 5 months. I have submitted several tickets and even worked directly with members from the app development team. Calls never even ring until after the call where I receive a missed call notification, call transfer doesn’t work, calls are dropped, and the list goes on. It’s been a waste of money and huge waste of my time working with them to resolve the issues. After calling in almost a dozen times they simply tell me they think something is wrong with my brand new iPhone or the work provided WiFi that has never had a single issue. Extremely disappointed. Won’t go back. It has affected the company that I work for and I just give my customers my direct cell phone now to avoid problems.

Poor deployment. Not a business “solution”. Update: service is still crap, they reply with the same canned response, before you buy, try calling that number they gave me to call. It’s a bogus “welcome to Verizon” number. I guarantee you will call and spend 10-15 minutes navigating the menus to get answered by someone who is unable to help you. Caveat emptor This app is very poorly built. User interface is a C at best. If using the call through option the app and the phones dialer open. There’s no way to get back to the one talk interface to 1)transfer calls 2) see who’s calling 3) change the ring tone (the option exists, but does not work) 4) calls get dropped 5) people your calling can’t hear you at times. If using call through, you have to press a number to accept the call. No way to override this. Verizon customer service is horrible, outsourced to other countries and trained to keep you away from tier 2 support, even if you know what the problem is. Verizon’s billing is so opaque the only way to understand the actual costs of each line is to extract the individual charges from multiple screens and add them to an excel sheet. Final thought: Verizon had always been a solid cell carrier. I took for granted it would extend to other business lines. This is not the case. One Talk platform is poorly built, poorly executed, and will cost you sales and tarnish your reputation in business. Shame on you Verizon.

Unstable. If you’re planning on using this app for business, you may want to reconsider for now. The app works perfect 70% of the time. Unfortunately when you’re using this for business, the other 30% can be very costly. The issues are on both the phone and messaging. My software tracks all calls through my One Talk desk phone. I check the missed calls list everyday due to this app. There’s typically several calls that went through to the desk phone, but never make it to the app. On the message side, I will see a notification of a new message on my phone when it’s locked, but then I unlock the phone and go to the app and nothing is there. They will generally show up several hours later. I get “messages disabled, tap to try again”, which is ineffective. Most of the time, I can retrieve the message by cycling the phone on/off or switching between WiFi and cell data. This is all very frustrating as a business owner on the road a lot. I have re downloaded the app at least 20+ times hoping to correct these issues, but no luck. I’ve been using the app since Oct 18 and haven’t seen any improvement. It’s a great concept by Verizon, but extremely poor development. For now it’s a 1 star due to the substantial cost I incur from lost or late communication.

Doesn’t work!!, Beyond frustrated! Buyer beware!!. One star is also too generous. I constantly get calls dropped, not receiving calls mobile, text is unreliable, have to constantly uninstall App and reinstall it about 2-3 times a month to get it to partially function, etc, etc.. I just lost a customer about 15 minutes ago because I couldn’t stay connected long enough to get any information from her. Had to call her back from my personal cellphone and by the time that happened, she already found someone else to service her. You would think a reputable company like Verizon would make sure the product works before selling it and after speaking to customer service, they act like I’m the only customer having problems. Hello!! Do you not read the hundreds of horrible reviews???? I hate this App.. Buyer beware.. Don’t get bamboozled like I did.

Completely unstable if you want your business to fail this is a good start. Wish I would have looked at the reviews don’t believe the paid for reviews this app is completely unreliable I have spent over 12 hours with support trying to make it function as it should and it drops calls doesn’t retrieve messages till hours later both voice and text voice mails show up randomly with no missed calls. Drops in the middle of calls . Worthless app had I known I would have kept my business with AT&T Verizon is not even sorry for what they portray as reliable service or apps… how are you supposed to have good communication with customers as a business if you have garbage phone service? Really feel like this app leads to untold lost revenue for my business

Verizon App is running my business in the ground for me. I chose to move to Verizon after the south Texas Hurricane because of AT&T tower and communications issues. But I have never been in such a bind with running my company all because I do not have good communication because of the Verizon One Talk app. My calls chime to be delayed. Sometimes even up to 3 days later I will see missed calls appear. I try and try to pick up voice mails after hours later the app shows I have received calls and still I am unable to get my messages because of crashing app. I have spoken to regional manager and he advised the same as the store. They have said very little complaints have come in concerning the app and it is surely my phone. I should delete app. Update any updates needed on my phone then to reinstall the app. I have done and it helps none. I feel the problem is just getting worse. Then after calling again I get told I need to update my phone. That it is too old. I have a 6plus phone. No one said while I’m standing at their counter the day they sold me the service that my phone would not handle the app. More than I can say right now I’m frustrated at the fact that my “no front door” business is failing because I am unable to respect my customers enough to just call them back. I don’t know what will happen from here. Bait something has to change.

Customer Service. I have been trying to get my one talk desk phones at my office up and running properly for months. I supposedly have a field rep named, Hana Amer who came by to install the new desk phones and has yet to complete the job. I have attempted to call Customer service on numerous occasions over the past few months and they keep promising to send someone out and have someone absolutely call me that day ha! That has yet to happen. rerouting our calls out of the country is not an ideal situation. I can’t seem to get anyone from the United States to give me a call, absolutely ridiculous I’m trying to run a business. I will be looking to take all my business elsewhere. Christine

Not many features. We have had this product about a week now. The idea is great and the ability to be able to transfer calls, put calls on hold and roll calls over to multiple lines until someone answers is great for our small business. The downfall is the ONE TALK APP is lacking BIG TIME. There a really NO OPTIONS! You would think you could set priority times for when you want calls. Or set the DND for certain times like 10pm to 6 am. Also I don’t like the fact that even when someone answers the call in my office it still shows like a missed call on my phone so I never know who to call back. It’s also a little overwhelming. I wish the calls only showed up in the app and not on my phones caller ID log. There could be so so many more options in this app that are not there. The APP is just really lacking.

Crashes randomly, can’t make calls or receive voice mail. This app has been acting insane for 3 days. I can’t make any calls. I can’t get to any text messages that have been sent. I can’t retrieve any of my voice mails. And they haven’t fixed it, it’s been 24 hrs now. I just had to buy a new I phone to keep my company running. The local rep installed it on his phone using my credentials and it crashed just like my device does. Very disappointed. Got an update from the “developer” told me to “update the app to fix bugs”. There were no updates available at the time. I went 72 hours with no business phone line. “Use the call through feature” to do that THE APP HAS TO BE RELIABLE ENOUGH FOR IT TO STAY OPEN!… I couldn’t even get to that feature. Still totally unsatisfied with the “expletive duh” response from the developer. Avoid at all costs.

Review About OneTalk. Is a shame Verizon had no taken the initiative to fix buggs, like connectivity issues and line going dead for 2-5 seconds at the time while in a middle of a conversation consistently. I am with OneTalk since its starting back in 2013, or so for over seven year. I just recentlly started to use it, and just keep thinking why?, why?, why?, why?, why? The application has no improved. Iniatlly I thought they had purchased the app from a small business and were going to improve it over time. But the same buggs that existed over 10 years ago, exists today 2024 Jan. The only thing that improve, nothing!! Actually it got worst when verizon outsource customer suppot to oversees vendor who have no access to OneTalk features and configuration. VERY SAD SEEVICE!

It’s awesome if you want an excuse to not answer calls/texts. I was trying to have a personal and business line on one phone. With a business line I could set to DND while still having a fully functioning iPhone for personal use. This app is awful. Texts don’t come through with any rhyme or reason. Some right away, some a day later. Sometimes the DND doesn’t work. Calls have awful sound quality and drop easily. You can not move from WiFi to cellular data without losing the call. At all. If you are driving, assume you will lose the call. If you MIGHT keep it you have to guarantee you don’t pass an area where you have a remembered WiFi network that you autoconnect to or, yep, you drop the call. Text photos are a joke. Most come through pixelated, disappear after a bit, can’t be opened or downloaded. Group texts are a mess if anyone replies. I will be moving to 2 phones. And I rarely use my business line for calls or texts but the few times it’s been urgent I’ve ended up revealing my private line which now people have saved and started abusing access too. So.... lost purpose there! Can not recommend this app at all. You will regret it

Terrible!. Have to use the call through feature since I don’t have 100% Wi-Fi everywhere I go or while driving.. With call through people constantly hang up when they call me cause it takes an hour to answer a call! They call me, there’s a delay in it getting to me since it’s an app, then if I don’t answer on the first ring it takes forever for it to connect to me when I do answer since it then forces me to press any number to connect the call and then there’s a delay after that! So by the time it does finally connect they’ve already hung up! So frustrating! Not to mention notifications!! If I even do get them! If I have a missed call it shows up on my phones missed calls usually and not in the app. So not sure who’s called. Also there’s a huge delay in the notifications if I even get them at all!! Terrible!!! Hate the app but have to have it for work. Would rather carry around 2 phones!

Not surprised by poor performance.. This app is proving to be more trouble than it’s worth. The “idea” is that I can use an iPad and headset, and I will have the freedom to move around the building answering and transferring calls. Umm...NO. The app will only transfer to one extension, it hangs up on callers every time I put them on hold, I can’t get the speaker to turn off when I answer the calls, and there have been two instances where the iPad will start ringing, and won’t stop until I manually turn the iPad off! If I didn’t know better, I would swear it’s possessed. Tech support’s answer: Install new update and uninstall/reinstall OneTalk. THAT is the traditional response from people who haven’t got a clue what’s wrong. Their updates for this “white elephant” are monthly. Don’t believe the hype. While it’s an innovative concept, they aren’t capable of handling it.

Pretty Unreliable. I chose this option because I thought it would be a better alternative to GoogleVoice. It was not a better option. And unfortunately, it isn’t free either. Functionally: My calls drop often. Texts frequently go unsent due to “not being connected”—whatever that means. Then, on more than one occasion, I send a text once and unbeknownst to me, the text sends several more times, sometimes even a week later. Oppositely, I receive text messages hours and days later regularly. And I presume it’s the same mysterious status of “not being connected,” which again is completely unclear as to what that means and how to stay connected. As far as my personal opinions about what I dislike: There are no options to change the notification sounds for the app. I also dislike that the user interface is so unnecessarily laborsome—things like checking your voicemail and navigating options to change voicemail settings requires several steps, that unless you know the numbers for each option by heart you have to wait for the automated voice to tell you how to get to which setting; numbers and things like # and * are on separate keypads; the photo quality is terrible. The only positive is that I get a local phone number. And as a transplant doing business in the state which I currently live, that’s nice. It’s just a shame that I can’t fully use it.

Mostly Unusable. Have been using this app for one year. Hunt group texts aren’t available using the OneTalk Mac app at all. Texts coming to this app on iPhones and iPads get delivered late, sometimes not at all. VoIP calls with OneTalk barely work, customers will have to call twice, the first time they can’t hear you at all, the second time usually works. Leaving a custom greeting is multi-step nightmare of a process. We were left having to use OneTalk after Verizon needed our main store number to be down for three days in order to change account holders, thus the hunt group. The part where this app is supposed to ring your cell phone when someone calls your main number has worked a few times, I certainly wouldn’t rely on it. I’ll receive voicemails when no phones ever rang. The only way I would recommend this app to someone is if they had an iPad with WiFi and cellular and wanted to kind of make and receive calls on their iPad. I’ve called Verizon customer support in India, to ask if this app, the Mac app, and the OneTalk service in general would be improving anytime soon. You know how that went.

Questionable, Sad as it’s great. Going to give the app to stars one star for the overall functionality that is present within the app. It is fairly intuitive and offers a significant number of features such as transferring calls between other devices inside and outside sources sending text messages etc. I give the one talk service one star as the ability to virtually work from any location and receive phone calls is an amazing feature and the cost of the service is fairly low, that is if you’re only paying for the virtual number. However it’s not getting three stars because about 30 to 50% of the time we’re not sure if the app is even working. We tend to get between 1-2 voicemail notifications via our corporate voicemail system (which is handled separately from Verizon) stating that we have a voicemail from a customer, however neither my phone nor my staff’s phone ever rang. To make matters worse we have discovered that the app is now deregistering devices randomly. And we are not able to determine why. When it deregisters it deregisters both devices that we have on the account. This is a problem because we do not use desk phones we simply use the One Talk app and a virtual number piggybacked on our actual’s personal cell phones. If’s also get dropped calls form the app. We haven’t had customers complaint, it’s been 6 months, but who knows. If we could get past the stability issues it would be a great decision

Works great for voice issues with receiving texts and seeing what was. Great for voice and retrieving voicemail. Not so good for texting after a point it’s stop showing me the messages people were standing in the message. I could reply but not see what they said. I have a ticket in to get it fixed still

Good idea if it worked right. This app worked great for a day and a half. Then I stopped receiving text messages. I called Verizon and they were having trouble figuring out what was wrong. Nothing they had me do worked. While I was on the phone with them I read the reviews which were terrible which I should have done before I signed up for it. I got nervous and had them turn my old phone back on and cancel the app. I can’t take the chance of not receiving texts or calls from my customers. I’m back to carrying 2 phones but it’s better than missing calls or texts. It’s a great idea if it worked.

OneTalk app. Can’t give it this app a two star rating, it drops my calls constantly. I should have listened to the reviews that I read, unfortunately I thought to myself that was from a year to three years ago everyone usually updates. And nothing has changed. I pay a monthly fee for this when I could have paid google voice 20 dollars for a one time porting fee for the phone number I ported over. And now that it’s with Verizon I can’t use google voice to port the number over. So if you can avoid it please do if not you will be paying 25 a month for something that quits or doesn’t update on time. Says it goes off Verizon service, but as soon as you use it with full bars and it still says not connected?? Hopefully I can help someone else not make the same mistake!

Completely disappointed. Currently using RingCentral Voip, plenty of problems there such as clients nothing mobile to get through. Decided maybe I will try Verizon since it’s a big company with so many resources. I thought twice because the ratings were dad, they got me on the phone with an engineer he said he used to work for RingCentral and that Verizon service was superior, they gave us a big reception. From beginning nobody could tell me if I could upload our database of clients, I thought this is such a simple task however when I finally got to our top tier Technician they really can’t do it. Unbelievable. Believe the ratings.

Drops Calls. This app is so frustrating when your trying to run a business through it. We have had so many issues with Verizon and our multiple business lines we were promised this app would be the answer. Unfortunately a lot of the times calls won't ring through or ring once and lose connection. We have missed out on so much business because of this. Another issue is when we are connected to a customer the connection is so bad that it sounds like both ends are in water. I typically have to hang up and call back on my personal line. I would not recommend this app. Also no point in calling the customer service number, no one knows how to help anyways.

Almost Perfect. Most everything about this app is great. Taking calls, sending texts, voicemail and do not disturb features function pretty closely to a real phone. Only thing keeping it from a 5 star rate are the following: 1. The text feature is very basic. I can’t like a persons comment or reply specifically to a text that might have been earlier in the conversation. Especially when we are talking about 3-4 different matters. Enhancing the text feature would be ideal. 2. I can’t tell when someone is calling my phone directly or when it’s coming through the hunt group. My desk phone is set to ring when a client either selects the general option or my direct line. I also can’t tell when they are calling my direct line without calling the main office number. This makes it difficult for me to know what calls are priority for me specifically or if I should have my other staff members answer. Otherwise this is a great app and I’m so glad we did away with our LAN line!

Please Update!. It would be great if Verizon could update their app to be more responsive, offer better in-app features, and just a more updated U.I. The interface seems to be outdated, and the features are little limiting. We haven’t experienced any issues receiving calls or text messages, but you have to keep in mind that a good internet connection via wifi or cellular is required. One feature I would love to see is the ability to enable call time features. Where, after hours, it will direct calls to our voicemail, then all calls to come through during business hours.

Verizon One Talk. Should be called Non-Talk, I missed a whole day of client calls only to find out by email from a client that he just gave up. This app is useless. Drops calls when you get out of wireless range. Then the callback function doesn’t work. Locks up. Cut and paste doesn’t work when you’re trying to transfer info from phone to a contact on the app. Clunky, hard to use. You have to tap call button over and over to make a call. Sometimes a flood of text or missed call notifications come all at once. I’ve had several situations when I can’t get it to call someone in my contacts but I can immediately make the call to same contact on the regular phone. Too many problems to list. Don’t waste your time with this app.

Worst business decision of my LIFE. This app is a big filled mess! Do NOT trust this app for doing business - it constantly won’t connect to one talk, the. You have to re-activate it and get pins via email and uninstall and reinstall it. People CONSTANTLY complain that when they call it won’t connect. People text messages come in DAYS later. I have LOST contracts because phone calls and texts take days to show up only after you reinstall and re-activate the app. Never experienced a business app that was this horrible and buggy ever. Also they always sign you up for way more stuff than you requested like tens of different phone lines etc. STAY AWAY !!!!

Ruining my business too- AWFUL AWFUL APP!. Do no do not do not fall for this app. You will start to depend on it and so will your clients and employees only for it to NOT WORK CONSTANTLY! Drops calls all day every day and we have to uninstall and reinstall to get our messages daily. I can’t get anyone to help me to fix it no many how many times I call. If any one has any other suggestions for an app that actually works please please put it on this review so we can all find help!

Terrible service for your business. I should have read the reviews instead of believing the Verizon sales rep. I used the service reluctantly for 2 years due to the contract. As soon as my contract was over I cancelled it because of its unreliability. There were so many dropped calls or no alert when the call would actually come in. I would get a notice later which I had to call client back and apologize for missing their call. It is unbelievable that such a large company that specializes in communication can’t develop an app that works for its simplest functions such as making and receiving calls. Apple should remove this app until it is fully functional.

One of the worst call apps of all time. There are so many glitches and bugs it’s ridiculous. Anytime I get a voicemail(for a major company) I don’t get a notification on my phone until maybe 20 mins after a call that I have a voicemail. When I go to listen to the voicemail I have to listen to it multiple times before the notification goes away. Luckily I have voicemail email notification which is instant. I also can not delete any voicemails from the app which made our inbox full at one point. I have to hard start the app multiple times a day just to make it work right.

Needs more work and other considerations. First the pro. I like how it recognizes certain callers, like OpenEnrollment. LTE speed test is very competitive. Cons: The sound quality, starting with calling VM is static. I get that’s it’s VOIP but is that to blame Verizon network or Onetalk? I had full bars when I setup VM and it still had static, which I called A couple times to see if it was just that initial connection. My biggest beef is that OneTalk doesn’t have a means to contain its own contacts. Unless I’m doing something wrong, it won’t allow you to create your own (Isolated) contact list. The main reason is that most people that use this service would like to keep their contacts separate. If they wanted things combined, there wouldn’t be any need to have the separate service. I tried to toggle off allowing OneTalk access to contacts but then it won’t even let me add new contacts to the app. Due to integration of many aspects of your contacts with one number is saved to the other, it links things together and can be a headache.

OneTalk is Garbage. Do not waste your time with this service. Our company has used it for 6 months, and in that time I can’t even keep count of the issues we had. In addition to that the third party support they use for it takes forever to get back to you. Any time we had an issue we had to email third party support and set up appointment with them to troubleshoot. In the meantime we stopped getting calls. I honestly don’t know how many calls we didn’t get, potentially hundreds. The day we canceled it (after next to no calls for a month) we got 4 within 24 hours…as a contractor that is totally unacceptable and set our company back likely tens of thousands of dollars. Screw you Verizon and your garbage app!

Less than useful business app. Pros: provides a solution to having two phone numbers on one cell phone. (That is when business line rings through into the app). Cons: app always shows 1 voicemail badge regardless of the number of actual messages; One talk phone line only rings for about 25% of all calls - not effective for a business; Contacts are only stored in app by allowing access to local contacts on iPhone - unable to keep a separate business line contact list; Notifications for text messages appear intermittently - not reliable (must open app to retrieve) Overall I do not recommend this app based aspect of one talk until app is redeveloped to be more robust and consistent.

Do not disturb function. Everything about this app has seemed to work great and función well. All I wish it did more was allow you to set up specific time frames where do not disturb turns on and off automatically. For example, I use the app for customer service calls so I don’t have to give out my personal number. If normal business hours are 7am to 7pm, it would be nice to have a función where do not disturb automatically screens the calls after hours so I’m not being bothered on my personal time.

After 2 years. Verizon has a wonderful product. There have been times when the app has not worked properly, having nothing to do with cell service; however, those times are infrequent and Verizon does updates periodically to improve their product. Overall satisfied with the reliable communication platform. It is also wonderful to have up to 5 devices connected to 1 line. I would recommend this product!

Apple users beware!. I was just fine operating from 2 phones until the Verizon rep talked me into one talk. I thought it sounded great and she assured me there was 0 glitches! Since I was very nervous with combining the numbers. I didn’t notice a problem until the emails started coming in from my clients complaining that I hadn’t called them back. I was not getting any calls only texts! 3 x on tech support burning hours of my time and it’s still not fixed. Since I didn’t need the second iPhone I gave it away to a charity. Now I need to get another iPhone just to return things back to where they were. Thanks Verizon!! I have since learned that it’s a software issue with the newer iPhones. Verizon should know this! Very unhappy!

Verizon should disown this app to save their reputation.. As a long term Verizon customer for over 17 years, I have always had nothing but great reviews for them until I tried One Talk app. This app has managed to completely ruin my positive experience with Verizon. Reliability is definitely not an option in this case. It frequently asks for a PIN to be sent to the attached email account. And entering the pin successfully may take up to 7 or 8 attempts. Trying to get access to customer service on the weekend is quite some task, and is reserved for people who don’t have a regular job and have plenty of hours available on a regular work day. Stay away!!y

Terrible solution for business. We have been using the one talk app for over a year now and cannot stress how unreliable the app is. Incoming phone calls will ring once then disappear. 30 minutes later the voicemail will pop up from that same call. The connectivity is faulty. We will have strong connection to wifi or cell service and the calls are still choppy. Notifications for voicemails will come through as new voicemails when you’ve already listened to it. I get 5-8 voicemail notifications for a voicemail that has already been listened to. I would save the stress and just get a second phone rather than using this app.

Very Disappointing. I have been using OneTalk to support a business line for several years. Text messaging is spotty and has problematic connections, calls are dropped, can't be answered, or have poor voice quality, and the "use cellular connection" option doesn't solve these problems. A bigger issue is with outbound calls - I dial a number, but OneTalk then attempts to dial a completely different number. And the customer service is atrocious- initial support is just someone reading from a script, and support escalation results in being on hold forever or a promise to call back that is never fulfilled.

Great but has a few issues. I’ve loved the convenience One Talk has brought to my business and the massive amounts of phone calls we get on a daily basis. However, I have given it a 3 star review because it does have its issues. The biggest one being our customers try to leave a voicemail but it seems as though our inbox is full. Upon calling our voicemail box it says it’s empty. We’ve had this problem for months now and have gone into our Verizon rep for troubleshooting but they say nothing is wrong with the app. I’d give One Talk 5 stars if we could get this fixed!

Drops calls left and right. Our business previously used One Talk and Verizon’s landline phones and switched to another provider because of so many issues. Came back to Verizon to give them a shot again now that they’ve supposedly made this product better with cell phones only this time and it drops calls all the time whether on WiFi or not! After an hour and a half on the phone with support they decided there’s no way of stopping the phone from ringing the full ringtone in your ear if a second call is coming in and we needed to take a brand new cell phone back and buy an iPhone instead. Had the iPhone and One Talk app since 9am today (it is now 5:55pm) and the app has dropped calls nine times that we have written down. Not a good way to run our business!

Barely Functional App But We’re Stuck with It. We use this as a business line/phone number for our company, and it is not very good, to be honest. It is supposed to ring to me first or at least the same time as my husband- most of the time it either doesn’t ring at all and suddenly I have several missed calls I didn’t even know about, or it rings once and goes to voicemail, not giving either of us enough time to even answer. I thought when I upgraded my phone it would work better, but it hasn’t. I used to have an issue with searching messages and starting texts but I haven’t done that in a bit, so can’t comment on the functionality there. It seems we’re stuck with this app unless we change carriers.

Frustrated. I’m using this for work as an alternate to carrying a second (slider) phone. However, for the second time I’m not able to check my voicemail because the keypad and other options won’t appear!! I don’t know if a client needs me or if an appointment needs to be rescheduled or any other possibility because I can’t access my voicemail! I can’t simply uninstall and reinstall it because the IT person set up the account and by the time he gets back to me with a pin then I have to start the process to get a pin all over again so it takes 4 or 5 pins before the timing is just right to even get it set up again. Besides those issues, I often don’t get notifications and many times when I have one msg the badge will say 49 msgs! I rarely write reviews but this app has me so frustrated I’m forced to.

Works some of the time. When it works it’s great, but I’ve had plenty of missed calls. Customers have told me h the hey tried to call and got no answer. Then I check and I never received their call. It never rang or even showed up as a missed call. Sometimes I get a voicemail without ever receiving a call. Sometimes I get a voicemail three or four days after the customer left it for me. This is a business phone and I’m afraid I’ve missed sales because my One Talk didn’t work.

Trouble connecting. Since starting to use this for work I had hoped I could have two different address books to keep my contacts separate. However, you have to merge your contacts with the app which isn’t as big a deal breaker as the dropped calls. My phone calls cut in and out or will drop and try to reconnect which is frustrating of course. The text messaging system they have also needs some fixes as the messages lag with both sending and receiving. Overall the app is easy to navigate, but needs an upgrade when it comes to function.

Like Call Through. Had issues using the app and missing calls since it is reliant on a data connection and using VPN on my phone would impact the app too. With this call through option, my calls come right to my cell phone number and still can use the app to transfer a call.. I don’t like that I don’t know that the call is a one talk call until I answer the phone and prompted to press a key to connect, but it is better than not getting the call.

Doesn’t work. Worked for a few weeks but not since the new update. How are we suppose to do business when my phone doesn’t ring when customers call? Since my original review it has been working for past several weeks. UPDATE So as of today, it works great! When I’m not in the office my office administrator can transfer callers to my cell. Or I can answer calls directly on my cell. Also I can make calls from the app and our off number shows up on the caller ID not my personal cell number. Whatever fixes you made. Thank you

Has issues. I’ve been using this app for about 5 months now. I love the fact it gives me the opportunity to separate out business vs personal calls/texts. So far it has worked for me, but there are a few kinks that Verizon needs to work on. 1. WiFi connection. When WiFi is bad... you don’t get your calls. You have to manually switch over to cellular for calls to come through 2. Texts at times are slow to come through. Again I think this may be due to the connection issues noted above. There are also a few enhancements that would be ideal. Visual voicemail, option for separation of contact lists (one talk vs native phone), do not disturb for all notifications (right now DND just sends calls to VM, but you still get notifications for texts, voicemails) Like I said, it’s serving my purpose for now. But for Verizon to support this in a large scale roll out it will need some work.

Very disappointed with One Talk. This app has been horrifically glitchy since I got it. I was told by the Verizon employees that it was my phone and that it was old however my phone was only oneyear-old at the time. I have since had to get a new phone due to that phone getting wet. My brand new phone still has the exact same problems. One Talk is worse than Google Voice which is the reason I switched because Google Voice was a bit glitchy but not nearly as bad as One Talk. I now have my clients using Google voice more than my One Talk number. I’ve been very disappointed and very vocal however it seems I just have to deal with it or switch services at some point when I have time.

Disappointed. -Pleased fix your DND. Even when enabled, it still rings once. This is ridiculous and completely defeats the purpose of Do Not Disturb. -Also, please fix call history so it's separate from iPhone call history. We're a business and get tons of calls. It's a huge hassle to scroll through 20 OneTalk calls just to find one personal call. I don't understand why the largest mobile phone company in the world cannot create a decent app. Please fix these issues or else we may have to find alternative vendors for a business phone solution.

Love it! Just a couple suggestions. This business app is so much better than what we were previously using! My only request is that you add an option to mark a voicemail message as unread in case there are multiple managers utilizing one business line. I also ask that you add an easier option to switch between two business lines on one phone. Only glitch I’ve seen since I’ve been using it is the inability to consistently delete voicemails. Keep up the great work!!

Messaging won’t load or let you b/u chats b4 tech sup has you delete app to fix glitchy bhvr. Messaging won’t load or backup chats to reinstall, ob call record drops off manually dialed history when cal fails to dial. Must manually reenter number instead of tap to redial. Old cordless phones had redial options this is painful and a huge communication fail that has caused numerous missed connections. Offer back up and sync across all instances No excuse for needing to re enter contact or phone number to redial after failed dial attempt One Talk automated attendant should be able to forward to vzw business numbers on post paid account. Numbers and chat history loads sometimes.. but tap to reload doesn’t fix messaging disable error persisting over several months. Proposed fix is to delete and reinstall app with no way to extract data and messaging call ID history / communication file Still need better options for automated switchboard with more customization from within app They can do much better, free apps seem to work without much fuss just saying..

Just not good. I have wanted this app to work for our non profit. We serve women in crisis and it’s essential that our line is available 24/7. The promises of this App should allow that. Unfortunately it’s function is so poor and unreliable that we routinely miss calls and texts. Both calls and texts won’t come through. Calls are dropped. Texts come through hours after sent to us and our texts to clients are often times not delivered. Often times the texting function is disabled and the only way to get it to work is by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. We have 3 iPhones and a desk top using One Talk…we are all spending an hour+ each week trying to fix the functions of this app. We call and email with support continuously. They constantly pass the buck to another to fix the problem…but nothing is ever fixed. I wish we had never subscribed to this app. I will be looking for a different service to keep our lines open and accessible for our clients.

Don’t use. Terrible app that I’ve had to uninstall 5 times already! Constantly tells me I’m not connected when I’m in good cell coverage and on wifi. Neither help. It’ll drop your calls unexpectedly and won’t let you answer texts half the time because it cannot connect. The microphone cuts out constantly for no reason so I constantly have to repeat myself. This isn’t every day but almost every other day this will happen. We’ve tried troubleshooting but with no help from Verizon other than it’s working fine and try to uninstall and install again. Takes away my time from work to try to make it work. Not a good app I would stay away if you’re trying to be a professional business.

How is it possible that this is a 4 star app. We are a small business and OneTalk works just fine if you don’t get a lot of calls or texts or don’t need to use it very often. But as soon as a few people are using it at the same time this app suffers so bad. Constant app hangs and crashes. Text notifications appear but when you try to open the app it hangs trying to load. I have an iPhone 13 so these type of hangs just show how poorly the app and whole system is architected. Sometime when I go to make a call I can’t. How infuriating is it to not be able to get business done? If you have a serious business I would not recommend this app or service at all!

Lousy. Lots of small and large problems that add up. Overall, the experience of using this app is frustrating and disappointing. Verizon provides great cellular and data services to my smart phone, so I assumed the app would be reliable and was wrong. Some of the typical problems I experience: Text messages delivered the following day. Text message banner notification comes through, I open app and have to wait many minutes for the text or even close it and re-open to get the text. Calls ring twice and are directed to VM. Call doesn’t ring and goes to VM. There’s seems to be connectivity problems when connecting to inbound VOIP calls, I get Zillow lead calls and often have trouble connecting. Kind of a problem for my real estate biz. And I thought OT was supposed to be a business app. All of these problems and more occur when I’m connected to strong WiFi or LTE. The app is lousy and given very infrequent updates they don’t seem to be doing much about it.

Never again. I’ve had nothing but problems with this app, which is unfortunate because I’d been a long time Verizon customer for years. I thought this app would solve some problems for me, but instead it’s just created more. Frequent calls dropped or not coming through in the first place. Calls that will barely ring once and go direct to voicemail. Can’t access texts. I have called to problem solve countless times, reinstalled the app more times than I could count. It’s been terrible. I may have to go back to separate phones, because although it was a pain to carry multiple phones, at least they worked!!!

Homecare agency.. Our business has been using this app for around 2 months and we have had only one problem and I was able to figure it out and the 2 others I. Showed them and they now know. They said they could not get the text messages because of them being disabled. All you have to due it tap where it says that and they come through. Not all of us are able to be in the office so it’s been extremely great with call forwarding and only carrying one phone.

Frustrated. I was very reluctant to switch from two separate phones but I was assured by Verizon staff that am my concerns would be addressed. I stated my three issues and what I needed this to do for my business. He assured me this was a perfect fit. I asked about the terrible ratings and he said “they are all old. People love it now.” I am not one of them. The service is unreliable. Calls don’t ring, you can’t check voice mail, notifications are either not there or inaccurate. I called my sales rep and he told me I was just “undereducated” and he would send me video tutorials. They have not come and now I have to go back to the store and spend who knows how long getting my old phone turned back on! Don’t waste your time.

No stars if I could.. I have one talk for years and everyday I regret it. Non-stop notifications that I have voicemails or messages and I do not. Horrible phone calls. Missed messages because they show up late. I work alone and wanted to be able to have a separate business phone number. I now give clients my personal number anyway. It’s that bad. I will finally be ditching this app as soon as I get to my local Verizon store and redo my plans. This past few months it’s actually gotten worse with updates and I had hoped it would get better. Stay away! Honest guy here who barely ever writes reviews

A little buggy, but great compared to the initial rollout. When OneTalk first rolled out, we seemed to be among the first clients to try it. The concept was pretty neat but the execution was marginal at best. We stuck with it for a few months and some significant software updates must’ve been made internally. It’s finally become a pretty reliable product, and has been a lifesaver during the COVID era of staying at home. We are still able to respond to customer needs no matter where we are.

Buggy and unreliable. When the app works, it’s pretty convenient. However it doesn’t work all the time and is buggy as heck. Every time I try to put the app on DND I have to delete and reinstall the app again in order for it to work properly again. Very frustrating. And considering we have had the app for years now, I would think the bugs would be worked out in some of the updates by now. Verizon, pay your techs to actually fix this app because lord knows you charge more than enough for the service.

Too Glitchy. I used to be able to put up with all the connectivity issues. Before the update, I could delete and just re-install the app if the voicemail didn’t quite work or the do not disturb wasn’t working. Now, for some reason, despite having put One Talk on do not disturb, it still rings once on my phone and fills my phone list with missed calls. I cannot sort through my calls or the one talk calls properly and have missed too many actual cell calls before saying it was enough. This app used to be great because it gave me the power to bring my business phone around. I was able to control when calls came through on my cellphone and how. Now, it is a complete mess.

It works. It will not handoff the IP address during active calls from WiFi to LTE. The solution, if you have a good cell provider, is to turn off WiFi on your phone while you use the One Talk app or if you have bad service but good WiFi turn off your LTE service so your phone won’t look for LTE. Remember, your phone manages your internet connectivity NOT the apps. Crappy phone + cheap service provider = you get what you pay for!

Horrible to worse. It already dropped calls all the time when switching from WiFi to cellular or cellular to WiFi or so seems that is what is causing it, now the latest update took the business out of business class. Now searching contacts by business name doesn’t work. You can see the contacts by scrolling, but searching a business name will yield no results unless you put the business name in as the first or last name. Dang. We can’t win for losing. I wish that this would work better. I would prefer my boss just switch us to sim cards and remove the desk phones. Then we can use the eSim feature and not have to keep the sim card.

Absolute nightmare. One talk gives “unexpected error during provisioning -23” on two cel phones. On my computer it kind of works but it loses connection with my mic and headset daily- a call will come in and either I can’t hear them or they can’t hear me. It is a great concept and crap implementation. One small example- the test your audio hardware function records and plays back a 10 second clip with no way to cancel playback if you hear it failed. You have to sit there and wait for 10 seconds even though the first two show it failed. Integration with contacts on computer app is not there, copy paste of phone numbers is sketchy. Given the size of the company and market share you would think they could do better

PLEASE DON’T GET THIS FOR YOUR BUSINESS. This is the worst phone system ever!! I wish I read these reviews before I got this for my HVAC company. I lost 3 customers that I know of due to “unprofessional lack of communication”! I never knew they called!! I’m scared to find out how many calls I’ve missed due to this crappy system. I got 3 voicemails on my app just now and they were from 9 days ago!! I’m getting my old standard phone system back today! Verizon should have never brought this out without testing it. It’s not a flappy bird game or social media app. It’s used for our businesses! Our livelihood!! I should charge Verizon for the head aches and lost revenue over the past few months.

Buggy. This app does allow for two phone numbers to be used on one phone, but it’s buggy. The app almost never alerts me that I have a new voicemail. I get an error message when I try to delete voicemails about half the time. When I answer a call though OneTalk, I hear a message telling me to press any number to continue to the call, which seems unnecessary, and then the first second or two of my greeting gets cut off. These are apparently all known issues to Verizon. Overall, a clunky and minimally functional app.

Works for what I need.. I use this app to forward our office desk phones to all of the managers in my company. It works great for this purpose and have little to no complaints. I don’t recommend using this app as a standalone business phone though. I had used this app to have a separate number for my business on my phone but ended up just changing my phone number to the one talk number and removing my old number entirely. The call quality didn’t work out for me out in the field and the messaging system usually didn’t work properly. But like I said, it works perfectly now.
