Best bass app!. Love it! Just wish you could change tuning on a 5 string bass.

Okay. The finger bass sounds out of tune

Good but needs a way to do bends. It’s a good app and offers a decent array of sounds and tones but it needs a bending/vibrato function. I think it would be good if light pulling would be a 1/2 step and medium pulling would be a whole step and constant up and down movement would make vibrato, rather than it being full range.

Good, but needs more options.. I love using this app to jam, but I want you to add more tunings to play in, but all in all a good app. 8.5/10

Help. So far a good app the only thing is that it only has to lessons for me (back in black & crazy train) and when I try to do other ones it says no reward ad available. Why is this? If somebody could help me with this by telling me what to do that would be great! Otherwise great app.

Crap app. Like most of these apps, there is no close the app button or function so once its open on your phone you can’t easily get out. No matter the quality of the app if you can’t easy get out it a zero in my book.

Uncertain. Well, I was really digging on it just to be able to kind of play on something whilst I’m at work. It sounds great, and I’ve only played with two of the basses. But I went to the songs to see if that would show me how to play any of them, as the lessons do, and I clicked on plush(which I’m already familiar with on how to play,) and it simply brought up the fretboard, and was “playing,” according to the play button, but I wasn’t hearing any of plush. So I figure I could be utilizing said function wrong, but I thought I’d try to reach out to see what was up with that that. Because I’d be happy I’ll it to pay some money for this if it is going to legitimately show me we’re I need to be fingering. Especially on those A7X songs. I’ve been aching to learn more of them, but hey have some pretty tough stuff, sometimes. And all I know of them is nightmare. Thanks for the help, and great app! I’m the last one I tried like this was very mediocre.

The worst. They said and I quote, “learning the bass has never been easier.” That’s not true, you don’t learn the bass and there’s also a ton of junk and trash on this app. If you like and want this app because it’s of the sound, sure, but to learn, don’t. As I said, DO NOT BUY THIS APP. 😡👎

Not very good. The bass sounds don’t sound realistic at all, it has way too many ads and now I can’t even use it because it crashes every time I play a note. Terrible.

Great update! But. This is the greatest update that I have just now found out about. All the new basses and the famous bassists basses. But I think that there should be an update on the distortion bass, as well as an option to add distortion on other basses. Like say you wanna play anesthesia pulling teeth but it sounds weird because it’s too clean, and same for many other distorted songs. But again great update and I would love to see that in the future. Keep it up 👍

Decent for practicing the fretboard. Plays just the notes. Not much capabilities for the nuances of playing the bass...no string bending, hammer ons, slides, etc.

Popping issue. It sounds like the sound is popping sometimes which is weird.

Something Is Wrong. A while back, this app worked pretty well. I didn’t run into any bugs/glitches. But as a few months ago, the app is almost completely unusable. The biggest issue is when hammering on to another note. It just stops and glitches out and sometimes the note doesn’t even play at all. Especially when playing notes quickly, only some notes will play and others won’t even play at all.

Great. Been looking for an app like this. It’s great to have when sitting around without a bass guitar trying to lay down some bass lines. It’s just a fun app. Thank you.

It’s good for an app :). I play bass in real life, got the guitar experience, play live shows. So I’m bored and want to find a bunch of apps and see how accurate they are. This was the only one. I was able to get accurate notes, I don’t think there’s a way to get it past 9th fret or so. But otherwise, I think it’s a good way to learn the note sounds or a way to play if you don’t have your instrument! Not many ads either, so I can easily mess around with music without lugging a big bag around. I like it, it’s accurate, I appreciate the work put into this!

So there’s no “find a song mode?”. Just a blank page, nice.

Beautiful. This company makes the best guitar, bass, and drum apps for people who just want to get the experience of playing a real instrument on their phone. The samples are top notch, the interface is dead simple and inspiring, and while there are ads, they’re not obtrusive. Only thing that would make this (and all your apps) better is making it work with inter-app audio. That’s the only thing that bums me out, there is currently no possible way to record them into garageband.

Not bad at all.. I’m always on the lookout for a bass guitar app that I can use in note taking Musical ideas as they arrive but in general all the apps I’ve tried, even the kind of boojy “fretless bass” app (which is an awesome and ground breaking midi controller, just not the best bass emulator)all the others tend to make the bass stand out as a feature, and not in a good way. So I was surprised when I ran across this “real bass” app to find that it actually does a good job of sitting in the mix while still retaining a natural tone and feel. Another good thing is the sustain pedal, something I’ve requested from other bass app devs but they never came through. A lot of bass parts are just riding that note in consecutive 8th, 16th or whatever notes and it’s nice NOT to have the little hiccups every time you lift your finger to hit the same note again. What could be better? Maybe velocity sensitivity, string bending, round robin sample layering per note so the ear doesn’t catch the repetition so easily. Less repetition of samples to fill adjacent frets. Especially not from string to string because every string has its own character and deserves its own sample. Those are pretty refined requests for an app that does the job better than average. Just putting it out there.

Very poor app. This app makes my speaker pop even in low volume This is a shame!!! And needs to be fixed right away!!! I am very unhappy!!! SMH!!!

Great tool when away.. I love this app for the true bass sound and playability. When I am not able to grab a bass work on a riff, i can open the app anywhere. I enjoy the ability to record.

This app is Garbo👎🏼. When I put one of the basses types it sounds like your putting a guitar wire in an amp so this app is bull crap 💩 don’t get it.😾😾😡😡😡

Great app, but it crashes a bit.... The icons don't really represent the sound of the particular basses. Other than that it's fine.

WHAT ARE THE FRETS!?. It has been driving me CRAZY that I can’t figure out the notes and please make a better way to learn and make people be able to play and not so RUSHED!

Lots of ads but not enough content. Ads galore with little content; at least, in the free version.

I love the hell out of this app. I play bass so much, so believe me when I play this app whenever I’m away from my actual bass. I love everything in this app and I highly recommend it. However my only request is that I would love to have a 6 string bass in here. I got one and when I’m far from my 6 string bass i want to be able to practice it. Either way I love the app !

Fun. Fun app, but need to show what notes you are playing so you can learn the fretboard easier.

Good if you can bear with the ads. This app is pretty good, IF you’re ok with dealing with their ads. They used to have paywalls against things that are required so I understood! All the bass selection is pretty cool! But now, they have absolutely BOMBED the app with ads. Tab out? Ad. Wanna switch basses? Ad. Wanna play or save something? Ad. It gets so unbearable to point of being useless if you actually do wanna play bass. If you’re used to constantly closing ads, go ahead! But if you get tired of phone ads quick, don’t get it.

Love it, but.... I really dig Kolb’s apps, however, if they were Inter app, Audiobus, Audio Unit compatible, to use as a stand alone app in Garageband, that would be sooooo sweet!!! Please consider this as an update option...heck, I’d even PAY for that!!! I’ll give all the Kolb apps I have 5 stars when this happens!

Ads ads ads and more ads. For every action you need to watch ads. Very annoying. Quality of bass sound is good.

App does not close once opened on phone. Unfortunately once you open this app you can’t close it and have to reboot your phone

Good. Its pretty good and gives a few options on basses but its a bit hard to play things that go all over because you cam only have a couple frets on the screen at a time

FINALLY!!!. I've been looking forever for a good bass app for when I can't have my real bass with me but I could never find any that sounded good and/or show enough frets to play without pausing and moving the neck. This is great and it deserves the attention so other bass players see it so pleases leave reviews for these guys!!

Great Practice Tool. I'm a beginner. When I can't take along my bass, I can use this for "fake practice." It's surprising how much it helps. The only thing I might add is a letter representation of the note sounded (maybe with a hide/display toggle). Thanks, Real Bass!

Let ring is a bug. If you turn off let ring and play it, it don't ring makes sense but if you turn it back on it don't ring so I deleted and got it back to see if it worked it didn't but 4 stars Is good for pissing me off

Great Acoustic Bass Sound. Purchased it for both iPad and Android. Blends in well with our ensemble and has the huge advantage of portability. Even with an iPad Pro, it is better to output the sound to a USB sound card/stick like the Dragonfly Black 1.5 USB, instead of the built-in DSP sound card. With Android phones and tablets this is absolutely necessary.
