Giving only two stars until there is another patch.. This game is truly amazing to play on mobile. Sometimes i enjoy it more then the pc version. The reason i am giving it 2 stars is because the DEVS. Its been over a year and still no patch or update to fix all the bugs? The troops are still have a hard time using the siege towers. The AI factions do pretty much the same thing every time you play it gets a bit old. Basically Rome and Egypt take over everything in their way. And even tho the selucids have an awesome roster they always seem to get steam rolled by everyone around them. Also im noticing new bugs now. Now when i am invading a city and i order my units to enter a gaurd tower so they can take it over they end up lining up infront of the door outside the tower and they keep taking arrows until the unit is wipes out. Its stupid. If you wont take the time to fix these bugs and at least care for the mobile gamers in your business then you guys deserve a one star. The only reason i give it two stars is because the game is really fun. But the fact you guys dont care AT ALL about this mobile total war you guys are going to lose many players and fans and im going to make sure the entire community understands this if it is not addressed.

Huge Fan. I love the total war games on PC, so I thought I’d try this out. I love it. It’s amazing. There are a lot of factions you can play as, you can build forts and watchtowers to see over the land and stage raids and sieges. This game overall is amazing. There are a few things I’d like the developers to add, which include fixing units in towns and cities, or when they are on walls, it can be a little glitchy sometimes, but otherwise huge wall settlements are my favorite sieges to do, also sea battles and naval landings would be awesome to have in the game so you can do something like a Carthage beach landing and have an attack from land and sea, artillery ships attacking the walls so the naval troops can get through. I love being able to play one of my favorite PC games on my phone, and the great thing is, doesn’t need WiFi. I can play it up in the woods. It also has easy to reach cheat codes. Press the top corners of the screen and hold it and you get the Rome Shell or something like that. Players can use that to do the campaign quickly and see how strong you can get. I’ve only used the showmethemoney cheat and the process_cq all and process_rq all which, in order, is gives you I think a million denarii, instantly complete construction queue and last but not least finish the recruiting queue. 10/10 recommend to players who like rts style games.

There is always improving needed. The game series is the best in all of gaming, the graphics, gameplay, and strategy that comes along with this brings old ancient warfare to life in the hands you possess by just a tap on your phone you can become great commanders of great armies in this game. You can relive the battles that once happened, sieges that once took place, go into the eyes of what Julius Caesar once saw; total war. I have been playing the total war series for quite some time now, and have finally played this game on the iOS. The only thing needed is Online Multiplayer!!!!!! Until that is fulfilled may I finally play a game in great competition amongst others around the world!

They guy. First and importantly THANK YOU SO BLOODY MUCH FOR THIS GAME IT IS BEYOND AMAZING ABD THE BEST WAR GAME OF THE TIMES THANK YOU. However there is one slight problem I can play everything except the SPOR Roman senator that sorta takes away the excitement of feeling like your a true Roman fighting different fractions. I’m would like an update not just for me but anyone else who agrees that we should also have the options of commanding the heart of ROME. This would be one reason to give you way more credit than you need even so this game is still amazing. But just so I’m aware will there be an update where we do have that option of commanding the sentate or other fraction. Please let me know thank you

Glitch. Hey there’s this glitch it’s been around for almost a year now affecting all versions of the game on iOS and it makes it hard to play because it super sizes the units and makes like like 2-8x times the size of regular units so like a unit of 40 is now like 160 men and from what I have seen so far it causes the battles to lag more and causes units to break faster I mean I’m sure you can see how worth the mechanics of the game it really effects how it plays and makes it in my opinion unplayable but aside from the glitch and back when I could get normal campaigns and battles to load this game was amazing I love it so I still give it a 5 out of 5 stars just hoping they fix this or I find a way to idk

2 questions/ complaint now. A.) I know I’ve asked before but do you have a a estimate for when we could expect mod support. And B.) so you have any plans bringing the total war warhammer 1 or 2, I would honestly buy it as quickly as possible and I’d be sucked into that 10 times more than total warm Rome EDIT: also could we/the players get a answer about the total war medieval games, or shogun, or any of the other total war games EDIT: hi, so I I’m quite annoyed right now, out of all my games I play this the most still and I am about to transfer because of the absolute mound of crashes, EVERY battle I do, campaign or custom, crashes, I liked a lot of big battles, I finally did a 1v1 on larger unit scale(eagle legionary cohort vs urban cohort) and it crashed, I know sometimes if you do something like that in some games it’ll crash so I changed it up thinking it’ll help, 11 more crashes.... finally I let it rest, tweaked with setting, and bam, got a themed custom battle ready, hit deploy troops and it crashed... before it would at least start battle, not just crash immediately, I love the game to bits don’t get me wrong, hours upon hours of gameplay, and I even sucked my dad into it some(he doesn’t play games at all) and then this happens, in a small battle with at most 106 entities and it crashes, thank you for reading this and if any player has a problem like this I’m sorry but it is still a good game

So close to the PC game, needs some improvement. Overall they did a fantastic job moving this to the IPad. Biggest problem is troop control and camera control, both of which are very unwieldy. Trying to get a better look at the battle close up and back out to the larger view in a functional way is difficult if not impossible. A couple of buttons controlling the camera might have worked better. For the attack selection sometimes you are given two options which both have a sword icon and I still haven’t figured out the difference. So the PC game is still better but for an IPad game this is outstanding. The issues noted are why I can’t give it 5 stars.

Update is greatly appreciated. First off I want to give a huge thanks to the devs at feral interactive for this amazing update. Giving us the rest of the factions makes this version of one of my favourite strategy games of all time a true remaster. There are still the issues of the Spanish having eastern voices but oh well. I’m updating this review after being notified of a response from the developers. I kind of forgot that I wrote this because I quit playing the game due to the various audio issues that plagued it. I decided to open the game again recently and noticed no issues this time. I have no idea how I fixed it, but I’m glad to be able to start a new campaign with the volume on.

Love this game but pls listen. Ok, first off, I love this game. I’ve gotten really into Roman history this year and this game was great for me. I love the immense battles and the campaign is super engaging. I usually hate campaign style games but this was like choosing my own path and I love it. I love being able to move my army’s around and explore the map. I love making deals or enacting revenge on my enemies. There are somethings however that I would like to be balanced. The rebellions happen so frequently and they somehow amass a giant army and I have to use my big army’s that were needed for campaigns elsewhere and put them to stop the rebellion. And the rebel pirates somehow have a godlike fleet that will just continuously attack my ships over and over again. Apart from that, I really love this game and rate it 5 stars

LOVE IT!! but…. Ok so I love the game, best strategy game by miles and miles and I play on it for hour upon hours, and I would say it’s my favorite game on the AppStore. And it would be amazing if you guys could bring all the others total war games to the AppStore like, shogun and lord of the rings,ALL OF THEM PLEASE!!! Love this game so much 1million stars! All the other strategy games don’t look like this one, you can see the 3d battle or lead your troops to battle in the other strategy games but I think when the Total War series came out… it took strategy games to a hole new LEVEL!!! Love it soo much and would love it way more if they added all the others.

The honest review. I am a huge player of Rome Total War on the PC. I have thousands of hours spent playing since I was younger. I was excited about it coming to mobile and I was severely disappointed. Not 5 minutes into playing it, I was booted out of the game 6 times because of a bug while trying to que units. The battle map experience is difficult to pick up until you put many hours into it. My third battle I kept trying to face my units towards the cavalry to protect the flank and it wouldn’t allow me to do that, it instead created a move command to make the unit walk in circles. I get there are things that need to be different to adapt it to a mobile screen, but the execution I feel could be much better. I’ll definitely be sticking to the PC. Now if I could just get my money back…

Great, but one question. I am so enthralled in this game. Have been enjoying it a ton. It has hours of gameplay and plenty of strategy and fun to go around. Only question I need answered is, when will more total wars come to ios. This game I was skeptical at first, but seeing how it has been moved over and works incredibly well. I just want medieval 2 or any of the other titles. The older ones are probably easier to convert and run on iOS. Would love to see more titles switch over. If that happens then I know plenty will play it. I know I’ll empty my wallet for a medieval 2 on iOS. All in all great game

I love Total War but this is ridiculous.... I have always been a fan of the game series Total War!! I love the strategy aspect and actual time you have to give to win the the game! It's always exciting, fun, and easily the best game on the App Store!!! With all that said I find absolutely INFURIATING that 50% of the time I divulge into an in depth battle, I have fought through the lagging, the endeavors of a heroic victory, and I have won the battle. The moment you see your after battle kills screen and you're ready to move forward the game begins to load and BAM!!! THE GAME CRASHES!! The half an hour to an hour you just spent winning a battle that was highly out of favor is all lost....it takes everything that is so great about this game and ruins it. I am giving this game a 1 star because it has been months and instead of updating this problem they've released expansions that do the exact same thing....i hope to see this problem fixed immediately so I can give this game the 5 stars it deserves.

Unfortunate. This would have been a great game, and don’t get me wrong there is some enjoyment (it IS Total War Rome). Looks beautiful and runs well on iPad( I had maybe a crash here in there) The unfortunate part is that there doesn’t seem to be much effort at all into battle controls. Super unfortunate given that is where this game should excel on iPad. I may be wrong, but I really don’t think that part of the port should have been that difficult and there are plenty of examples of games doing it muuuch better. The problems in battle controls: No way to easily change direction of your units. When moving multiple units it always defaults back to the original ai formation You can use the grouping feature but then there are many glitches where units move to unwanted locations or just will not respond to any input. The selection area of units doesn’t line up properly, you try to move a unit next to another and it will just select the other unit. It’s honestly pretty upsetting considering this is paid app and from a professional studio. I’d be pretty disconcerted with the project management and testing there. I don’t think they’ll be updating this.

New idea?. I absolutely love this game! As someone who can’t afford a pc I’ve always dreamed of playing a total war game and this was my wish come true this is a game I seriously love and really hope you continue to add more units factions and details to the game! I’ve always sort of hoped there would be some non human factions but I guess that’d be too much like warhammer (really hope that comes to phone too) but I was hoping maybe just maybe there could be a zombie faction or something similar in Rome total war? Like a dlc with a new playable faction and a whole story to go along with it where you either pick whichever faction and play the game normally while also accounting for the new rising zombie faction or play as the zombie faction I just think that would be amazing also I’d really appreciate it if alliances would be made more useful every time I make an ally they refuse to help me and inevitably stab me in the back anyways if this is read thank you for taking the time to read it can’t wait to see what you do with this game!

Game is great, but what about Macedon?. First off, the game is great. Buy it. However, as anyone who’s played the PC version knows, there are some things that are fun to do in the PC version, but are impossible to do in the iOS one. First off: there are certain factions that can’t be unlocked, such as Macedon. There is frankly no reason for them to be unplayable, so why not make them unlockable? Second off, there are some settings that can be edited in the PC version through text files. Some have been ported over, but others, like unlimited men on battlefield and AI prefer naval invasions, have not been. Is it possible to get them ported over? Keep up the good work Feral!

Great game, but one particularly annoying bug.. First and foremost, thank you for making the game playable on mobile. Everything is how I imagined it to be and more. The controls are intuitive and the battles are as exciting as PC, and the campaign mechanics are there too. There is one bug that tends to ruin the game at times. Sometimes during battles, the soldier’s models will be lowered in quality and their limbs will look like spikes. The shadows and trees also break and the game runs considerably worse. Even if I restart the app, the bug sometimes persists until I get lucky. Overall, I love the game. If this is fixed, I will be sure to change my review to 5 stars. Once again, thanks a lot!

Total War just keeps improving. I have been a huge fan since the Total War line was first rolled out. Rome has always been one of my favorite games. I was hesitant to get it for the iPhone because I didn’t think they would be able to port it without giving the game a lobotomy. But I was pleasantly surprised at how true to the PC game the iPhone game is. It’s easy to see that the designers aren’t out to make a quick buck off the total war name. And now, for no additional fees, they’ve added all the playable factions that were not available before. That’s an incredible value and much appreciated. Good work and I hope to see the game continue to be supported and look forward to any additional content in the future.

Great Game. Overall, Rome Total War is a great game. Any fan of strategy or RTS games should absolutely consider buying it. However, there are some bugs. The most prominent of these is a weird glitch pertaining to the fog and war and console commands. Whenever I start a new campaign, the fog of war is off, and I cannot open the console command to fix it. I personally consider this a game breaking bug, but others might not, or might not experience it. Of not for that, Rome Total War would easily get a 5/5 review Edit: Forget everything about the bugs. It was user error. Rome gets a 5/5 review!!!

Really really really fun... But.. I’ve had a blast playing this game and sometimes staying up all night playing it. I remember playing this on pc a couple years back and now it’s mobile! Truly innovating and addicting! But on the other hand little things like an enemy general refusing to die when completely surrounded by your troops and sometimes killing a whole unit of yours before he dies. Chariots are a little overpowered as that they can outrun Calvary for some reason. Also reinforcements sometimes just freezes outside the map. Speaking about the map, when the game lags it’ll throw you to a random perspective on the map. Other than that I’m very thankful for this game cause it’s a complete blast to play!!!!

One of the Greatest Strategy Games of All Times. I played this game when it came out for PC and I loved it then. I was thrilled when I found out it was available on iPhone. It is the perfect mix of turn based and real-time strategy games. It is largely historically accurate allowing you to take the helm of one of three historical Roman families. I seriously cannot out put this game down. Every so often there are issues with the touch interface but they are not obtrusive. It is worth the price. This game will have your enemies crying, “A cloud has fallen on our shore, the mighty hand and sword of Roman war.” “And remember, our Roman gods are watching. Make sure they are not ashamed!”

What I've done and what I've received. I literally Bought the iPad just to play this game (and just make it my game thing), I'm not really disappointed, if this is your first time playing a total war game, you will love this game, it is by far one of the best strategy/war games in the store, still, if you played the CPU version you will realize the differences, these differences are the change in scale of battles, to fit with the ipads mobility, you still get most of total wars immersion but with a small quality drop, but with right marketing I know total war is something that could take over a large part of the gaming community, I am very happy the creators are bringing these games to mobile devices , and hope the consoles are next, I really believe total war games could be a triple A thing, please keep expanding, one day Everyone could be talking about these games like they do skyrim and GTA, you better hurry before mount and blade is also a good game expanding its reaches

Very good game, has some quirks. This game is amazing. I was a little hesitant to buy it from its $10 cost and how many total war fake cop-outs are online, but this is actually legit. If you’re willing to pay, the $10 is completely worth it. However, there are some little quirks that I found. First off, this game drains your battery like a leech. If you don’t connect your phone to a power source, you won’t be playing this game for long, even if you started at 100% battery life. The second quirk I found is that this game is not big finger friendly. In the later stages of the campaign, when you need to micromanage massive armies, it can be really difficult, especially if you have big fingers since everything is so small and it’s easy to accidentally click on something you didn’t intend to click on. If you have big fingers, I recommend using a DS stylus or some other screen stylus if you have one. A third quirk that I found is that the sound quality of the game isn’t the best. When new background music starts, whether it is the battle theme or the peaceful overview theme, it doesn’t deactivate any soundtrack currently playing. After about 10-15 minutes of playing the game you get the accumulation of 5+ background songs playing over each other, and it sounds quite unnerving. Other than that, this game is really great and can give you months and maybe even years of entertainment.

Good game, pretty bad controls. This is a really great game. I’ve been wanting to play total war on the PC for a while, then found it was on the phone too. It has been fun so far, but the controls are very frustrating. I think they were meant for iPads with much bigger screens, because I can’t precisely select and move and position my troops effectively. I often find myself just bungling up the battle most of the time because I can’t properly position my troops. But it’s still a fun game. It’s historical, you can build town, make troops, make alliances, and never get bored. I just wish there were better controls.

please read I have a few suggestions. I just can’t get off of this game. I think it is the bomb. I love this game and it’s great strategy and factions. I wish you could tell your archers to put a stake in the ground in front of themselves. I wish the cavalry could dismount. I wish I could get a diplomat to say anything. I wish you could play the rebel faction and Rome . I wish Rome would fight and conquer territory.I wish you could trade troops with other countries. I wish that after a while a fort became a town. I wish you could play with other people, it would make your game a lot better. Over all I love this game and would recommend it to anyone who wants it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!⚔️😃SEE YOU ON THE BATTLEFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also wish you could play a sea battle ; you could completely destroy a town ; there would be Vikings who would come take a town , pillage, and leave ; and if you went through a mountain some would die from the cold, and falling ; I wish you could have your own person killed by a assassin; and a storm would sink ships; and you could attack at night;1 forced march and last the red line would vanish after all units are in rout .

Love the game but I have a frustrating bug that makes it harder to enjoy. I absolutely love the gameplay and how well it reflects the original game; however I have a big that I can’t fix where the music won’t stop after loading screens. For example, I start a campaign, and the main menu music is playing on the world map, and let’s say I attack a settlement right away, the music from the main menu, the campaign map, and the battle engagement music are all going off at the same time. It gets to a point where sound doesn’t work at all in the game. I have to turn the music off, or have multiple music pieces playing at once. I don’t know how it was caused, but I hope it will be fixed soon.

Close to PC quality. Real time battle mechanics are tougher to recreate, but I think they did great work on the campaign map and its conversion to mobile device. I am unsure if it’s me or the game, but I cannot position my troops to face a specific angle in real-time. I used to use that as a tactic when outnumbered by multiple armies on PC. I would back into a corner on a hill with spears in a semi circle archers in center with horse ready to counter flanking maneuvers, but again I can’t seem to figure out how to position troops at an angle. Side note, would love to see Barbarian invasion expansion come to mobile!!! Would pay extra for that dlc.

Missing factions, unresponsive controls. The game DOES NOT have all the original campaign factions playable. One needs to check the obtuse FAQ on their site to find out about 5 or 6 factions which were playable in the PC campaign via a simple file edit, literally changing one value, were left out. What the dev keeps talking about with the unlock from settings, are the advertised factions which would unlock after beating the game anyway. That outright problem and deceptive as crap marketing, the battles apparently auto save DURING the fight? No wonder they’re laggy still on a 1 year old IPad. Weak. Unit numbers tied to device, no green settings, incredibly buggy controls and missing content. Yea guys, the content is missing. The assets exist in the custom battles, and in the campaign. Y'all CHOSE not to make them playable, please prove me wrong by telling everyone here in writing, either about a licensing issue which forbade y’all from adding them, or why it’s technologically impossible to do that. Since I paid for your product, I expect an answer. Why were the Dacia et al. factions left out of the imperial campaign? Please don’t tell me I can go into the settings and unlock Egypt and all that, absolutely not what I’m talking about.

Volume problem. This game it’s just amazing, I had no problem since I installed but yesterday I experienced a volume glitch,. The volume from the from the game introduction normally goes away when we join in the campaign or in a battle custom but it stay’s , the same with every nation background introduction music, in my case the Julii family, (red romans) please help me fix this issue I really love it. I also have rome total war barbarian invasion and its as good as the Rome total war and I’m looking forward to buy the new Alexander invasion so I hope you guys to fix this thanks and I hope to get a response soon.

Wow. I used to be a huge fan of these games on pc I bought total war Rome, Attila, shogun 1 and 2. I loved these games and still play them once and awhile. I wanted a game like those on mobile forever and I’ve tried looking for any ripoffs or anything like it. There was nothing so when I saw this was made I got very excited and instantly bought it. It is everything I wanted except for one thing. I’m not gonna go into super details but the only small problem is the battle controls are a little wonky and annoying sometimes. if you need more detail look st other reviews as that’s what a lot of them are about. but otherwise if you want to control an army in a mass battle or have played on pc and want to play it anywhere this is most definently the game for you

Worth the money!. I loved this total war on pc. I just purchased about a week ago and it’s been fantastic on iOS as well as far as the game itself, my only frustration which is likely just due to the platform, is the controls on the battle map are a little difficult without constant pausing because your units may completely shift their lines sideways or you may select too many units when in the middle of a skirmish trying to out maneuver your opponent. It just lacks the precision of the mouse which is unavoidable on a phone or tablet but if you micromanage your units and like to let the battle run real time you will have a harder time doing so. Fantastic game still and overall worth the money if you love total war and this comes from someone who never buys phone games.

Wait... how do you do other factions in the campaign again?. I don’t remember how I did it, but I remember playing with a lot of factions, I love the game, but how do you do it? Please tell me Edit: thank you for letting me know how to do it, developers! Also I love the fact that the game has aspects that are historically accurate to the Rome timelines, though this can be changed by the player for example, Egypt taking over the world. I love this game! Very well Made, good job. If you made more, like... some of the other total war games on pc, like total war arena (I played it at pax west!) or perhaps adding aspects to the game like full action ship battles like in the PC, that would be awesome! I know some people who made pirate: Caribbean hunt who could help with these aspects. The game is perfect. Keep updating!

Super fun but a few things. When I first got this game I was blown away by it it’s super fun and exiting but as I played it I realized a few flaws for one if you have a diplomat you can pretty much bribe anything on to your side which is a little unfair also it’s way to easy to bribe loyalty is such a minor factor in this game and also why can you bribe entire cities? I mean you don’t even have to have an army you can just throw gold around until everyone has joined you, also all the units behave so cowardly I mean only the general’s unit behaves like an actual military unit all the other units just run when they take a few casualties like the Barbarians in the day almost all of them would fight to the last man but in this game they act nothing like the real thing but overall a good game

Crash crash crash. I paid for this app thinking that my investment would mean a quality game that I could enjoy for many months to come. Not only has this been a terrible gameplay experience but it has literally become unplayable due to what customer support has blamed on new IOS update. So now every 5 minutes the game will freeze and crash. Just to sum it up. I purchased the app a little over a month ago and for now over two weeks the game is completely inoperable. I have never been so disgusted with a poorly developed game. Rest assured several weeks ago I was comforted to know the team is diligently trying to solve the problem. “Sarcasm implied” Hey feral how about a refund? Do you guys honestly think this is acceptable in anyway? I never write a review but this is outrageous and I hope this review keeps even one person from burning $10 on an useless game. Do the right thing Feral!

Love This Game!. I absolutely love this game and I can’t get enough of it, but I’m sure a multiplayer/hot seat mode would be greatly appreciated and accepted. One thing that I will add is that it is close to impossible to rule over all of Rome. Thanks for your time and hard work I know that it is your goal to create good quality games and that, well you already accomplished that. Thanks for your time. One thing that I will add is that I wish you could play as every faction. If you played as the Roman senate you would have to manage the different houses and stop one from getting to powerful to hold the republic together.

Controls and my personal review. Developers have answered my previous review and help me get some answers which I do appreciated. And they do care. If those who loved the pc version of Rome total war it’s pretty much the same in some expect. Yes the pc is a whole lot better but as a mobile total war game it has some potential just as the pc game in your pocket. Just getting used too especially controls because you don’t have a keyboard and mouse. This pocket version don’t require internet connections which is great. This game does eat some battery if your going to play for a bit. Other then that I believe it’s worth the $ for this pocket version of total war. At least I get to play again. Next would be like shogun total war. If it does come out yes I’ll buy it through the App Store just like this one. Btw give it a chance and play a bit you might like love it.

Almost perfect. This game is honestly the best not in graphic compared to other but gameplay wise. The one thing is that how come there 50 region and u can only play as 13-15 region that not even half Macedonia I defeated and yet still couldn’t play as them Also the Greek kinda seem Under powered because in my understand the Greek were very intelligent but they can understand that they can’t just Pikeman all of the time yes they have archers/skirmishes and cavalry but that doesn’t really make up for there one weakness I know this game is very old now but I wish you could FRIKEN FIX THE SIEGE TOWERS TOO and also add new unit like historical units. Side note: Why tf did u add ship engagement if u can’t actually see them what’s the point u can’t retreat if you get attack so what the fricken point ik this is a little thing but it bugs me for some reason Question:Will You add Rome 2 because for me the selection in Rome 1 is not really great such as the Greeks with practically only pike man and is starting to get boring after a few month

Never Gets Old....... I’ve been playing Rome on my PC for a number of years, and after I upgraded to the latest iPad, I purchased the game, and it has not disappointed in any way. My only wish that there were more historical “Set Piece,” battles available. What keeps the game from getting dated, is the ability to create my own custom battles, but this can be time consuming, so more ready to go battles would make it even better. But, it’s still relevant, after years of playing. Oh, one more thing. I wish they Barbarians version was available as an add-on or as a stand alone purchase too. Update. It is now available. Thank You!

Get This Game. This game is amazing, the one big thing that I would change is: Currently alliances are kinda useless. Could you please make it so that if you are in an alliance with another faction that it means something. Because currently if I were to have an alliance with let’s say Gaul, then nothing would stop them from stabbing me in the back and invading! Another thing, your allies don’t do anything if you ask them too; like if I asked Egypt to attack the Seleucid empire, they would say no and betray me. All I ask is for alliances to mean something to the AI. If you could make an update, or something that would turn your AI allies into actual allies. Instead of backstabbing traitors. Thank you for reading, over all great game.

Great, but I do wish controls were better. My biggest frustration with this game is not being able to easily shape units. It was much better in medieval 2. In that one if I tap and hold selected unit(s), I could shape them in formation and easily position them. There is a way to do it in this one by using two fingers, but it’s really tricky and finicky. It’s also better than medieval 2 in that the other factions aren’t magic and basically impossibly spawn enemy armies. For example I fought Milan and they had no castles but were still getting knights. Other factions would also have no money like me buys still come and smack me with fresh armies consistently and I couldn’t even pay to keep them replenished. Other than the controls issue, I’ve always loved this game since it’s original release. Such a variety of potential play styles. Horse archers are broken.

Excellent!. This is an excellent port of an excellent game! The touch controls are fairly intuitive and once mastered allow for a great gaming experience. My only suggestion would be the addition of game pad/controller support for those who prefer that. I know many of their games do support this and unless I missed how to enable it, it’s absence here is the only downside to this app I have found so far. This downside however is still not enough to prevent me from giving this game a 5 star rating. I’m sure my family will be seeing the top of my head far too often this holiday season as I’ll be looking down at my screen so much! Well done!

Battle controls need work :(. Edit: Thanks for responding, I appreciate the team’s dedication to customer support. I did some closer testing and found that the drawing instead of scrolling results from the touch controls simply being too imprecise. You can try scrolling quite a ways off from the actual unit and it will still register like you’re trying to draw a path. (I’ve noticed this imprecision contributes to difficulty placing units during deployment as well). If the battle touch controls could be tightened up just a bit, this game would be elevated to near perfection. The further I’ve gotten into the campaign, the more frustrated I’ve become with the battle controls. Panning across the field while units are selected is an absolute pain because the game will think you’re trying to draw a path. Drawing a path is a neat function in theory but only makes sense on a larger screen. It makes me wonder if the game was ever thoroughly play-tested on an iPhone. Please allow us to toggle the path drawing function - it would make battles infinitely better on small screen!

Long awaited, and couldn’t be more satisfied. I’ve always wanted to be able to play the total war games on iPhone and figured it was just too much of a programming challenge. When i found this app had finally been released, I was shocked to find it is EXACTLY like the computer version, which is AMAZING. There have been mimic apps that attempted to recreate what the total was game does, but they’ve never come close. Yes, it’s a touch screen, but once you are used to the controls, it truly is an awesome play that you can take anywhere. Nothing is as fun as the total war series! The world is a better place for this app!

Just one word: WOW!. Never played total war series before and I gave it a try last week. What a game! For me it is much better and fun than civilization. For big battles, I have to play on slow speed and constantly scroll between my 2 flanks and click pause and issue order. It is not an issue, just so many things going on on the battlefield at the same time. Now I see why this game is truly a master piece. It is a tricky game though, especially on the map level, don’t grow your cities fast or you get into un-reversible trouble. It is a mechanism preventing you grow your cities too fast.

I love it but. Hi I really love your game at all but for the Greeks and Seleucids and a few other factions they all have pikes I know that’s what the Greek world had but they also had swordsman I know the Seleucids have a silver shield legionary but that takes three turns to make and that’s pretty crazy I was wondering if you could do an update were the Greeks and the Seleucid empire have a one tern swordsman because I know they both had infantryman with swords that would just make the Greek and Seleucids more fun to play with and could you please add multiplayer where multiple people can go into one game to do sieges and battles that would be really fun and instead of doing auto resolve with ships can you please add were you can control your ships and all and can you please think about adding a ROME: Total War 2 to the iPad that would be amazing anyways I hope you see this because it really needs to be updated into the game thank you!

“We will find away or we will make one”(Hannibal). It doesn’t get much better than Total war on a phone, Civ 6 is right up there tho but now we have CoH as well, it’s a good time to be a mobile gamer. I have been hesitating on buying this for months just because I own it on PC, so why should I, well I’m glad I did cause it actually runs smoother on my iPhone 8 than it does on my decent laptop, the touch controls are as fluid as any other well made strategy game on iOS. Instead of clicking and dragging mouse to select multiple troops, you draw with finger around the troops you want to select, makes it feel like you are drawing up sports plays but in actuality you are crushing your foes with just a finger mwahaha. If you, like me, are hesitating whether it be price or you already own, do your self a favor and have the Roman Empire in your back pocket at all times. GG

No Remastered. I am totally into the Rome: Total War Series on both PC & Mac and I am also playing the RTW on my iPhone and its cool and I am ok with the UI. Remastered was released earlier this year for PC & Mac but not for iOS and considering the game engine & UI for Remastered is identical to the original RTW that came to iOS with nothing more different than a Fresh Coat of Paint - then why cant the Remastered come to iOS? Remastered uses the exact same game engine - exact same UI. I emailed the Devs asking the question & they replied that there are no plans For Years to being Remastered to iOS. The Devs did not give me any details for their decision but it was very disappointing news. I’ll gladly pay $30 for Remastered so please reconsider brining Remastered to iOS.

Needs AI vs. AI. I think it would be really great if there was a way in custom battles to not control any army and/or make a way to take control of all army’s. A lot of comments I read say the same thing. If this was added I would give a 5 star. I bought this game so that I could place as many units as I liked and then sit back and watch the carnage. But as it turns out I have to pain stakingly take a long time to set up a way to route my troops and then just watch the battle unfold. A lot of times the enemy sends most of it’s army at my men and it is really anoying because when you die the battle is over. That is another good idea. DONT END THE BATTLE WHEN ALL OF THE UNITS YOU CONTROL DIE. Like, who wins in the end? Apparently since your dead you will never know. Wow! I know it’s a lot but at the moment, (and I hate to say it because TW has been my idol) TABS is better than TW. That’s all there is to it. I mean you guys make a complicated battle scheme but in the end with out AI VS. AI, Your not a battle simulator. I’m not mad. I’m just slightly disappointed in the game. It never had what I’ve wanted most. AI vs AI. Thank you and hope you add it soon.

Old time player and fan.... I first began playing Medieval and Roman Empire versión years ago then only available on CD to play on my home computer and the game is still as great as when I first discovered it. I do wish the medieval version were available to download from the App Store so I could play it on my I-pad but having “ROME” to okay anywhere I go is a plus. What I love about the games ( besides the sound track of the original CD game) is the historical aspect and accuracy of the play. A player can apply different win strategies depending on which country he chooses to be as well as develop different strategies for winning using key military units. I first always played as one of the Roman family units but lately I go with one of the historic competing empires and have more fun “changing” history but conquering the Roman Empire. Great game... give us the Medieval versión to play on I-pads!

Can’t employ real strategy. Actually paid money for this game and based on the previous reviews at first I was excited. However after playing a few rounds I realized that you were kind of painted into a corner as to what you can do. I’ve built up huge armies and then I couldn’t do anything with them, despite plenty of people you could attack. Eventually you have to do what your commanders in Rome want you to do. You can’t attack them, you can only go after who they deem as enemies. Technically you could make alliances, but it doesn’t seem to do any good as they don’t fight on your behalf. Pros: Nice fighting sequence where you can deploy units on the battlefield. Cons: 1. The AI “allies“ will attack and conquer territory well before you ever get there. Hence to be able to attack anybody, you have to march clear across the map, and even by the time you get there, there is a little left to attack. 2. You can’t attack any Roman allies at all. Historically this isn’t accurate as Roman armies fought each other frequently and leaders were opportunistic. I would have opportunities all the time to attack other Romans but the game would never let me. It kept saying I needed “popular support“ however there is never any way to get this.

Please fix. I love this game I really do but the game crashed on Friday and I’ve sent emails and everything only to open my game and see it’s still crashed I’ve been waiting a good while now since it’s Wednesday please I just want to play this game

Liked it. I enjoyed it but I would love to see a medieval total war II. Just more vitality for factions to. Better more accurate unit to recruit. Maybe even grass land, trees, rocks ect. Still worth the money and time. Wish there was more like this for iOS.

Make a Victory conditions option. I really don’t like the victory conditions and so do many of my friends so please remove or make an option so you can choose if you want victory conditions because to me I’ve lost my campaigns so many times to them and I just wanna play campaign without feeling like I’m forced to do things me and my friends would play more if you make an option the game got so boring with victory conditions so please make it an option

Best game on iPad... Easily!. The port to the iPad is the best I’ve seen. This game is the best game I’ve had on iPad. I bought all three games separately and now you can get them dirt cheap in a bundle. I love it. If they do the same for Medieval TW II, I will but it the day it comes out.

I love this game. This has to be one of the most addictive games that me and my friends have ever played but can you please try to make an online campaign mode as well for these games in other words try make a campaign that involves each player as a faction also can you try to make the S.P.Q.R as a playable faction on campaign as well. Please do all this and me and my friends will love this game even more thanks 😊

Good but... It is brilliant there is one thing I need to know though my iPad crashes when it gets to 10% is there a setting that can change it? Also how do you do enhanced zoom?

Takes me back. I used to play this on PC in my childhood/ early teen years. When i saw it was an App i just had to get it! I am So happy it is exactly as I remember it! Brilliant in everyway.

Old player. I have been playing Rome total war since it came out it is a brilliant game even if now we can’t bribe other armies to join my faction anymore I love the game and I have bought it at least 3 times so far and a Forth One when I get a new iPad and I can’t recommend the game enough

Good game really amazing. It has a lot of options features and everything. Personally I love custom but everyone is different. I know on computer there is a 2 version with better graphics so I’m just waiting until iPads can run that or even support it.

Crashes ruining the game. I’ve been playing this game on PC for many years and it’s truly the best strategy game I’ve ever played. But when I started a campaign with the Roman Scipii, I was attacked, the battle finished with close victory and as I pressed the tick to go to the campaign screen the game crashes. I loaded back in and press continue battle since it had saved the battle. But it then finished with clear defeat. Once again as I try to go to the campaign screen it crashes and won’t stop.

Good but battle controls not working. Great game, loved the PC version and this is a pretty good port to iOS. Big fall down for me (might be user error, not sure) is that I can’t select a unit then drag it to position it and orient it in the direction I want. Video tutorial says two finger drag does that, when I do it just moves the map around. Makes combat very difficult when I can’t effectively orient my individual units.

Ultimate port, needs multiplayer and all factions. This game is great, I've spent hours playing it and continue to find out new things all the time. The campaign continues to be interesting, with the 11 different factions. However, battles would be much more fun if you could fight real people on a multiplayer system. This would ensure a continued playing group. For all those looking at the price tag and saying hmmm, it is not much compared to PlayStation and Xbox games, and is mobile. Overall a great game. It’s been a while since I wrote what was above, and I have some opinions about the latest update. It has increased functionality and provides easy access to stats but it is way less aesthetic than it was before. This is not bad but perhaps could easily be fixed. I still think that multiplayer should be added or ported in an all inclusive Rome total war collection. The only other thing is that it would be great if you, feral interactive, could change the game files so that we the people can play all factions. I don’t see why you can’t do this and it would result in me playing more to try the unique starting positions and unit types.

Updated Response.. I made a response over 4 years ago, but this game is a passion to me, I have played most of the factions and I even got a campaign up to the year 262AD, I was the Scipii, and there was 3 factions left, I think they were the Britons and Armenia, but yeah, great game overall!

Great. This has to be one of the best games on iPad. Controls take a bit of time to get used to but a good change over from pc to iOS. Only hope they can make Total War Warhammer next. Great job

I love it. It’s great to have such an amazing game for iOS. To play when and whenever. I would love to see more total war games like medieval 2 an more for iOS.

Fun and enjoyable but.... The game is fun and enjoyable but it’s a bit expensive don’t get me wrong it’s a great game but if you could give people half there money back I believe it would gain more popularity also make the game price half the price -NoBrains

Impressive!. Best iOS game ever! I’m really enjoying it. I can’t say anything bad about it other than the fact there’s no multiplayer. My friends and I would love to play it together. Could you do it the next update please. Again I love it.

Frustrating. I have this game on PC and l absolutely love it and it started that way on my phone but after only around 10 turns the game stops and goes to main screen and just keeps doing it every time l try playing can’t go any further, sooo frustrating

Great games. I love that I can play this awesome game anywhere! Would really love to see more total war games made available for iOS, Shogun 2 in particular.

Classic RTS game.. Overall great port of a timeless classic. To have a playable version of this game available on Tablets is a credit to all involved. A must have for all lovers of RTS games. Has the odd minor Ai glitch as did the PC version but what more could you ask for. TW Medieval hopefully ?

Please remaster medieval. Rome total war is definitely one of my favourite games on the App Store. Alongside with Tropico remaster. I’ll play these games religiously whenever I don’t want to talk to colleagues on my break at work. Or just when I’m sitting at home. I just wish that the developers remaster medieval total war as well. If they did, I’d buy it instantly no matter what price

Improvement. 5is is game is great but I’ve been trying to make a formation but have been successful 2 times in 1hr which is annoying course it would be easy to tap on the troop and it has a tool to tap on that has formations, in the App Store when you look at the game is shows that there’s like 150 troops in a group of swordsman or 80 in Calverey but that’s fake course Calvery has a max of 13 which is a lie if it was more like what you show in the App Store with units in bigger sizers would be great, this game does have more potential you just gotta make some changes

Great Game. It’s an amazing game. The developers did a good job with the iPad version. Good graphics and works perfectly fine. Controls are well designed. Currently waiting for LoTR and RTW 2 Thanks

amazing game but would love to see multiplayer. 3 stars for y’all but you guys can do better updates like multiplayer and be able to fight in the battles like steel and flesh boat battles you can watch would be amazing more things to do in towns building villages from scratch and I have a million other ideas but that’s only a few soo

Good game, some small problems. This is pretty good game, except for a few small problems. 1. It is impossible to charge missile cavalry at enemies until they have used up all their missiles. Otherwise, others to attack them just mean they throw missiles, even if you turn off fire and select stand and fight. 2. When playing as the Seleucids, you can’t see how tired your own and enemy troops are. Also, you can’t turn on avoid combat for missile cavalry. 3. The game often crashes for no reason, forcing you to redo battles. Otherwise, a decent game.

Continuous Update = Positive Experience. Since the launch of Rome Total War it has always bothered me that the radius icon which shows the range of the missile units were missing in the game, but it’s FINALLY in the game! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep up the incredible work with this game and all the other games! I do hope we see Rome 2 Total War in the App Store.

Almost too good - where did the last two hours go?!. Fantastic port. If you love Total War games this is worth the money to relive an old classic. I can’t believe a game that struggles along on my Mac now runs flawlessly on my iPhone X. Fingers crossed this will lead to more TW games being ported across. While the campaign map game works great, my only complaint is that selecting, grouping and positioning your armies is very tricky and prone to errors during battles. This part of the game needs more refinement to make it truly work on the iPhones screen size. Would still recommend.

Awesome game!!. Took some time to figure everything out control wise, and was so happy when I learnt I didn’t have to only be the romans as well. Overall brilliant game, well worth the spend, I highly recommend to anyone looking for an in-depth game. Word to the developers: Please add an update so we can position units in the direction and depth of formation we want, not just a direct move from where they currently are. So sick of units being in a city then keeping a long skinny formation once I get them outside the gates. One more thing, I’m noticing it’s becoming disproportionately harder to maintain happy populations as the cities increase in size. And please work on bringing the other total war game to iOS. I have empire gold edition on mac. And it is without a doubt my favourite TW game to date.

Amazing!!. It’s even better and easier to use than on the computer with the ease of popping in and out when about. Great job guys

Multiplayer if possible. Great game, great mechanics. The only things I would ask for would be multiplayer (co-op) and minor details when viewing cities e.g soldiers training, horses, varying designs for people

Wonderful but missing one thing. Multiplayer would be good but other then that fantastic port once you adjust to the controls

Amazing!!!. This game is amazing hours gone in what feels like minutes it must have multiplayer I’ve always wanted to try my skills against other people so please add a multiplayer option please

Best game on the App Store. I love this game very much, I have spent hours on it. I have played the pc version and was my favourite game. But please ad the SPQR and Macedonian faction please! It would make the game even better!

Great game in all but naval battles. I am yet to find another aspect of the gameplay that I dislike. The turn based system as opposed to time based construction/recruitment is great but man, the naval battles kill me. You have absolutely zero control over them and so far as I can tell the outcome almost never seems to be what is expected. Being attacked multiple times by another navy without being able to flee or have any control in incredibly frustrating. This is the only mechanic that drops it from a 5 to a 4 for me. I understand the limitations of the platform but for me something is broken here. I don’t need to have total control over the navy but at least some option other than AI duking it out poorly on my behalf.

Garrrh!. Wanted to buy a new computer to play my old favourite games, then found this beauty available on iPhone. Fantastic! Game is as good as you remember it, only issue is it’s stability. Loves to crash. Once it happens the first time, happens with greater fequency. Have found delete the game and reinstalling seems to help, but will happen again. very frustrating. Nothing worse than having th barbarians at the gates and the app crashing

Great game. Really nice game and would love to get total war 2 soon , also it be bit better if there is also no term condition mode to victory and you can play kinda free roam.

Perhaps Medieval II next?. Love the game. Interesting controls that are a bit clumsy and annoying to use compared to PC but perfectly optimised for a device that lacks a keyboard and mouse. Sometimes a little laggy but nothing as bad as I remember on PC way back in the days. Only grievance is that the iPads complete edition is more expensive than the PC’s one and that seems silly for a game that’s nearly 16 years old now. Apart from that it is a nostalgia filled masterpiece. Perhaps a port of medieval II could be sometime down the road?

Crashes! XR latest IOS. Keeps crashing on my Greece imperial campaign on my iPhone XR, please fix this! But otherwise awesome crossover and hopefully you can fix this!

one of the best games you can buy but.... incredible gameplay experience and no this isn’t a fake dev review anyway the only thing wrong is that in the campaign you can’t play as SPQR if you are reading the reviews to ponder whether or not to get the game i recommend buying this

Needs a few touch ups. Such a great game! Loses a star for the clunky touch controls. Trying to drag around the map and having your selected units accidentally march into a slaughter is pretty infuriating. It would help immensely if it had keyboard support with hot keys, that might be enough to earn that last star.

Adding Manual Sea Battles. I absolutely love this game but it would make the game 100 times better if you added multiplayer battles. I also want to know if you can add Two player campaigns if that can be done.

Great but. I think this is a splendid game with great battle simulations. The only aspect I would love to see added is naval combat. This would make the campaign a lot more enjoyable, instead of having the battles simulated.

Great game but broken. This is a great game, heaps of entertainment but I can no longer player due to the first issue being when I click continue campaign it crashes the game and second being and the issues that’s currently happening to me now is that it just gets stuck as soon as I start it up

Buttons not working.. Was really looking forward to playing this however someone of the buttons don’t work. Created a game and can’t even get passed the first advice part, it’s telling me to swipe left and right t go through the available advice however doesn’t seem to work and can’t seem to close the advice menu by clicking on the X in the bottom right of screen. I have a brand new iPhone so I don’t think it’s the phone that’s the issue not happy.

Great game one suggestion. In the battles, how about double tap moves the troops walking pace, two finger double tap moves them at running pace? At present the battles are not fun as a single tap trying to select another unit almost always ends up with your current selected unit walking to where you tapped and they end up being slaughtered. If this could be fixed I would upgrade the review to 5 stars...

This is actually amazing. I was very sceptical about the iOS version of this game. As I loved playing this back in the day on my old pc. I couldn’t be happily with this version. A must have!

Love this game... but. I downloaded the game 3/4 days ago and after hours and hours, have only just completed my first campaign (maybe I’m just not great) The game is excellent, runs really well, incredible details (families, traits, battle gameplay) and the campaign has countless options to complete and play through. The “but” in the title is something I haven’t been able to solve, either through the game or online forums and it’s the constant rioting and rebellions I experienced through my campaign. Absolutely nothing I did solved the problem? Some cities were left untouched and became civilised and in others I would build structures to help, increase governors. Nothing seemed to help and suddenly I was losing cities every turn, with 6/7 all rioting. Maybe it’s my management and there is something I can do to stop this, however the tutorials show you nothing on this and the forums online also can’t help.

Timeless classic. Can’t get enough of this game! I have played through the campaign several times with different factions and there is always something new to learn and to do differently. The game is so in depth, and the level of strategy that goes into the ever changing campaign means it never gets tedious. Do you play full offensive early? Do you play it safe and stockpile your money? Do you block your Roman allies? Maybe befriend the underdog factions to defeat your direct enemies, or sail to the other side of the map for a sneaky takeover? The tactics are endless and always evolving, and the more experienced with the game you get the more daring you can be with how you play. The only flaw I can find is that the controls during the battles are a little clunky, and it can be a bit hard to control large armies but given some time and practice this isn’t too much of an issue.

Bugs and crashes. It’s obviously an amazing game and the transition from computer to a mobile version was fantastic. There are some minor issues such as when I want to destroy a building from a captured city the game will crash. Other than that it gives me great pleasure playing the game even with the occasional crash, it is still very good. If a new update with these little fixes occurs, my rating rating to the perfect 5/5 star change.

Battlefield Formations. I previously wrote a poor review for this game for one reason. I though I couldn’t control troop formations on the battle field. The developers have showed me how to do it (very easy using a to fingered tap and hold). So now I am correcting my previous review and giving the game 5 stars. Highly recommend. Awesome game! I’ve loved this game for so many years in its PC form. It’s the best Total War ever created in my opinion. It’s amazing how they have managed to miniaturize the game for iPhone. But there is one serious compromise they have had to make. You can’t determine the formation of your troops on the battlefield. This makes battles seriously difficult to fight. You can’t determine how wide your unit formations are, or how deep. You can’t select multiple units and stretch them across the battlefield in your desired formation. A serious flaw that makes game play difficult, stupid, and boring. I hope they fix this flaw in future versions. If they do, the game will get 5 stars.

Am I not the general in command?. Excellent game, very good I still play it but I just have one thing to say. Sometimes when I play with a battalion of mine and I order my battalion to finish off a force that are running away but WILL regroup only so many go the rest like kind of walk as if they where in slow motion. And instead of neutralizing the remaining enemy force the regroup and demolish one of my forces. What I mean is that sometimes you have no control over your own soldiers.

Crashes way too much. I tried a House of Scipii campaign and the game keeps crashing. It crashes probably every two minutes and it’s completely random. It even crashed while I was trying to save the game. I love this game and I don’t like giving a bad review. I just need a solution

I cannot download the game again. Once I deleted the game, I cannot download and reinstall it. There must be some problems need to be solved

Love the game. Been spending hours playing the game but all of a sudden it keeps crashing. My spartan campaign is stuck where every time I sim the boat battle right after it crashes. I started a new campaign and now it crashes every 5 minutes. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what to do???

Fantastic!!!. This game is one of the most addictive strategy games that I have ever played. Great for iPad.

Simply brilliant!. Love this game. Love that you can either win through blood, sweat, and tears, or “cheats”. Even with the cheats, this game is ridiculously fun!!! Especially after a hard days’ work. Thank you!!!!

Fantastic plan and simple.... Ok

Based and Romepilled. Gaulcucks btfo

So Good. This is exactly how it was played on PC. Love it.

Controls leave something to be desired. Pretty good overall

Really good. Can you guys add Chinese as a language

Perfect. Please Port over medieval total war 2 PLEASE

Sooo good. I love love love it soooo much I was waiting for a console version of total war and I got this instead it is such a good game I play it for hours straight……………… just one thing I really want it has nothing to do with this app but can you please please please make a Napoleon total war for iPad to I would buy it play it and give it a good review

Difficult to use. Let me start off by saying how much I love this franchise and the easily 1000+ hours of game play on PC. Sadly this version on iPad is terrible. I bought it when it first came out but the battery on my then air pad 2 would die out quickly. Fast forward to 2019 and a new iPad 7, and still this game looks incredibly pixelated, with a very poor user layout and incredibly difficult button and formation system. I could not make it past round 3. What a disappointment.

Defense. Add a option where we can play as the defenders on the siege

Good game but keeps crashing. Hey I really love the game, it’s really well Put together. Although, it keeps crashing on my iPhone 7 now. Wondering if the issue could be fixed so I can get back to playing lol

Amazing Game plagued by stupid bugs. The team has done some amazing work porting the game, but aside from some janky input controls, the unit sizes is stuck at 40 when it should be 160, and this is on the LARGER size and on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. This just makes it depressing to play.

Enjoyable TW mobile game. Good game but no multiplayer, occasional glitches and finicky controls make this app slightly overpriced

Keeps Crashing!!!!!. Game was amazing the first day I bought it.....Until the next day when it kept crashing every time I tried to end a turn. Spent good money on something I can’t play. @ developers - fix this

Crashing. Seems to be crashing a lot more than it used to before the last update. Pretty frustrating. ******* Two weeks later and still crashing regularly. Needs some work. ****** Still crashing regularly. Often needs three or four attempts to get through a battle. ****** Pretty terrible when you have to start battles three and four times because the game regularly crashes in the middle. ****** Honestly, a great game ... when it works. Have now had to go through the same battle four times - the last time it crashed just as the enemy army finished running away - so now I have to start all over again. ****** Have now tried to start the same battle five times, with crashes before the first ‘shot’ each time. Why does it seem to work well sometimes, and other times it’s horrible and frustrating? The point of the game is really to see how many crash logs one can send to the developers. Not that it seems to help. ******* Just spent a lot of time getting to a point in the game and now it’s all disappeared and I’m back about 50 years (game time). Really very frustrating. ******* Amazing. I’ve just lost ALL my progress on a campaign game. Not as if I didn’t save regularly ... but still, it’s just disappeared. BIZARRE.

Will not download to my device!. Regardless of me cancelling download, restarting download, restarting device, logging out App Store, etc. Nothing made this app work on my iPhone 6. Really disappointed, and expecting full refund.

AMAZING. This is the best game on iphone right now so please please please make total war medieval i would love to play more total war games

Crashes a lot!. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

Best game on mobile but could use a little changes.. I love playing Rome total war but I wish there where more siege maps in the custom game option. And more units for each faction it would make the gameplay more interesting with more strategy’s to choose from. Even more factions would be amazing, even adding a multiplayer mode to the game would bring all the players back and allow them to keep playing and having fun with the game we all love.

Great game worth the money. Please make more total war games for mobile like medieval 2 and empire

Best game ever but. Please add a online feature to the game so you can play with friends

Awesome game. Awesom

Too fiddly on iPhone. Probably needs at least an iPad to be worth playing.

Amazong! 😍. Just good, Spent alot of time on it... Really addicting and fun! Really recommend getting it!

Great, just one thing?. I love this port, it works, it’s UI is well done.. it’s just everything I’ve expected of total war on mobile. The one thing I’d like the devs to implement though is the ability to change the unit sizes from large and huge, too normal, or small. Sometimes the smaller scale fights are more fun to play rather than being restricted to unit sizes of 80 or 160.

Good. The game is very good but there’s a a few bugs especially when it comes to siege battles sometimes siege weapons won’t work or your men will glitch and won’t enter the towers if you have piles inside a city they sometimes won’t stay in formation allowing for them to be cut down easily sometimes pikes won’t use their pikes in battle in city’s and really I avoid siege battles like the black plague other than that it’s a great game

Make more total war games available. Please make more total war games available for Xbox and iPhone iPad etc I’d buy them all lol

Childhood Game. This is the best Strategy game out there compared to other games like it, although the graphics are old it still beats modern garbage games made by mega corporations that copy their old games and put a price tag so high you could buy 2 ps4 controllers or this game 20 times over. Yeah. Buy it. Do it now. DO IT, JUST DO IT!

More updates. This game is amazing. I have had a blast playing it. But it would be nicer if you added more units for certain factions. (Goes for the other expansions as well) Also maybe nerf some units because the Greeks feel overpowered because every unit can form phalanx and is more of a pike unit.

Path finding in cities is trash. Barely playable in most cities. Troops can’t can’t path find, clip into inaccessible parts, random soldiers will separate from units, unexplainably long lines instead of taking up entire street.

Rome total war. This game is excellent! I hope that at some point there will be something else along the same lines in the Napoleon or American civil war era.

Excellent. Mais avec le système de recrutement que tu peux avoir une unité à la fois c’est un peut long pour avoir une bonne armée

This is Great but...... This is an awesome game. It plays well had a blast playing. One thing that would be great is Medieval 2 Total War. That game had the same graphics engine as Rome Total War. It would be. A great title to add on iOS. Just want to give some ideas for the developers when it comes to tablet gaming.

Great Game. highly recommended for total war fans :)

LORD OF THE RINGS. can you guys please add a DLC Lord of the rings please. 🙏. I’ll buy it 😭

Amazing game, with minor flaws.. This game goes down as one of my all time favourite games. Feral interactive has done yet another, tremendous job recreating this classic for the iOS. It runs amazingly on my iPad. Only get some frame drops when the battles go into the 6000s and up, which is a bummer, but I didn’t expect much, given its on my iPad. As far as I’m concerned, the games feral interactive have ported over to the iOS from pc, like company of heroes, tropico, are some of, if not the best game to have on your iOS device. And the total war Rome series is no exception. The controls are smooth and intuitive, although could be improved greatly. I hope in medieval 2 total war, they will add more options for the touch controls. Similar to like was done for tropico and company of heroes for iPad. The main thing I think is needed, is the ability to change the “touch and hold” functions to react after holding for 0.1 seconds, like company of heroes has for the ability circle. One other minor thing, that I could see being a problem for people on iPhones especially, is the unit selection. The only way I could see anyone using an iPhone being able to select units is with the unit cards at the bottom of the screen. Even on the iPad, I find that the unit selection box, (the area in which if I press, it will select the unit) is far too big. Especially for archers (at least for the Roman’s) Some units selection box, are massive. I think those need to be toned down big time, it would be a lot better if there was at least an option to select units by clicking closer to their flag. Currently, it’s near impossible to move units around quickly, without constantly selecting other units in the process (adding a quicker touch and hold function would also help alleviate this problem). All in all, this game is well worth the price, and as far as iPad games goes is surely among the best. The controls can be clunky at times, but I’m sure with medieval 2 they will be enhanced greatly. Conclusion :definite buy

Please make more. It would be great if you guys made other total war games available for apple phones such as shogun and napoleon. But other then that this is amazing

Love the game. I was just wondering are you guys planning on adding anymore total war game with in the next two year or so

Great Depth of play but weak UI. Acknowledging that for a game with this much depth creating a user interface that keeps up with all of the play options is challenging I feel this is the game’s greatest weakness. That said, I have played it multiple times so it is clearly not a dealbreaker. Very good value.

Great Game but looking for future updates.. I love the game it’s amazing and I’m glad it’s mobile compatible, looking forward to seeing Total War Rome II maybe if it’s possible it could be compatible? But I love the replayability just wished there was cooler death animations just like in Total War Rome II

Needs to be optimized for newer phones. Could the developers please update the game to work with cheats on newer iPhones

Please make medieval 2 with all the expansions. Please dear god please make total war medieval 2 as a mobile app with all of the expansions. I would pay for each expansion separately. It doesn’t matter. We must have this game 😂 thank you so much for Rome total war. I supremely hope there is more to come. Even a port of total war shogun would be awesome.

Stop making me download your game over and over again. Your can’t steal my storage like that, your game is too big. I paid for this so I’m more and willing to take this to court.

Remaster. Remaster or u hav small pp

Controls are useless. Impossible to control the game play when fighting. Just turns into a full melee

Greek Fire. I love Rome total war and everything about it. I especially love the siege weapons but I really want Greek Fire to be any of the weapons. I keep picking the Kingdom of Pontus but there was never and I mean never saw Greek Fire. I’m not asking to you research day and night to find out how to make it but I just want you to add it. I am really looking forward to see if the creator of this game and many others will respond. I will be so exited if they make a new update that adds Greek Fire, I am really want them to add it. I truly am excited.

I rated five stars. I rated five stars bc I am an avid fan of the total war series of games except the warhammer ones those were ridiculous and pointless but even though I rated five stars there are some issues with the touch controls like when you want to change the direction a unit is facing now I know this is might be this way bc I’m using an iPhone 8 Plus but I do think there should be some buttons on screen during battles to help you face the units in the right direction but overall it’s a great port especially bc there really isn’t anything else like it on mobile

Fantastic. The work Feral has done to bring the Total War series to Apple computers has been nothing short of amazing. It’s my favorite game series and for a long time I missed out because of the limitations of integrated graphics cards. I was impressed with the work they did in making the series playable on older MacBook Pros, but to have Rome on an IPad and IPhone is nothing short of amazing. This is the greatest strategy game on the App Store. Forget the free to play nonsense rip off stuff made by Zinga. If it’s not to much to ask, can we get Company of Heroes? M2? S2?

Runs GREAT. I have been playing since this originally came out on PC. I never get lag, minor troop difficulties, and the same great game it always has been. You can play a quick game anytime anywhere and it brings waves of nostalgia every time you see the main screen. I hope they continue to port Total war games in the future they definitely have the player base and the NEED from their players. Social and multiplayer battles are heavily recommended too. All in all, definite must have app.

I realize there is a few problems. I’m a mobile player and only a mobile player and this game is not great on mobile it’s ok I guess but on mobile you can’t move around your troops like if you wanted to do a shield wall at the gate there is no way to rotate them or at least I haven’t found a button that does and it’s very promising And I realize that the AI pretty much puts you in a jam cause you need to attack settlements with reinforcements and like 1000 troops and you can’t recruit troops only if you bring a General to there town and cavalry is not enough to stop rioting? I put 100 cavalry I a settlement 50 Cavalry in one unit and it didn’t stop the riot and lost my 100 cavalry

Needs optimization for iPhone 13. Used to LOVE this game, and overall, I think Feral did an amazing job converting this game for mobile play. That being said, it is annoying that I can’t seem to be able to set the unit size to 160, as it is 40 by default and “larger” makes it 80 on the iPhone 13. Please, please, please fix this minor issue!! Edit: Feral got back to me and walked me through how to fix this issue, so in my mind, the game’s pretty much perfect at this point!! Thanks so much Feral for being helpful and timely!

Great Game from a great series that fits the iPad so well. This is an absolutely brilliant port that looks great and feels good, given the limitations of touch controls for a 3D rts. My one complaint that would make this my preferred game on my device is mouse and keyboard support, i would love to make it feel more like my desktop version. I understand that of course this is more work than just simply wishing it but the touch controls are definitely where the compromise was made when porting it over.

I knew medieval 2 was coming. A few months ago I had sent an email to customer support 😂😂, and then the other day I got the notification so pretty psyched for that, what’s next? Shogun 2 hopefully? 🥷 company of heroes could use an update but that’s a different story entirely. Overall moral of the story is, huge fan of the total war series, have conquered the entire map a few times on Rome and it’s two standalone expansions since I’ve purchased them, keep up the good work!

Good and complex but horribly done. As a city/economic game this could be good but with the focus on battles as with all total wars this beyond then falls short!! Path finding is always a problem but this takes it to a new level! All strategy is lost in the games inability to take simple but necessary commands that are supposedly part of the game structure. Large select boxes for units with minuscule acceptable targets for movements or actions make battles downright impractical on a tablet let alone a phone! I bought this honestly expecting a poor shell of the pc total war games. This isn’t that, this isn’t even a viable game. I don’t know how this got any stars let alone the 4.8 it claims other then fans of the franchise who haven’t played this painful rendition. This deserves 0 stars!

Best rts on apple. Absolutely best strategy game on iOS. No freemium play to play. Performs better than pc version. Playing full army size on iPad Pro 10. Need more games like this on iOS store. Updates art work and user interface is amazing I hope they keep porting more games like this! Company of heroes added and is also just as great! One thing I love to see added is a multiplayer option. That might be too taxing but the developers definitely went above and beyond all expectations and for the price! I’m amazed can’t wait to see what else they can do!

Awesome game. I think this game is truly great and totally worth your money. I’m not a professional review writer, so I’m just gonna give it to you plain and flat, THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! There are a few things I would like to see improved though. First, I would love the ability to create units in like a sandbox mode. Second, the ability to have larger units would be great. Third, Naval battles would be AMAZING. Naval battles on the PC are so much fun and they would be so much fun on mobile. Once again, great game, totally worth your time and money.

Perfect remake of my favorite childhood game. Pros: - Literally the exact same game that I remember playing as a kid. - All the factions and units from Vanilla RTW are still there. - Campaign plays exactly the same as the original. Awesome! Cons: - Really tough to navigate around the map on the iPhone. Really easy to click on units and accidentally input commands when you’re simply trying to pan the camera around. This probably wouldn’t be an issue on an iPad with a larger screen. - Not being able to click and drag units into custom formations is a HUGE drawback - No way to set massive unit scale as far as I can tell. This is weird because in the app previews I definitely saw that some units were set to massive. Maybe just clips recycled from PC gameplay? Disappointing nevertheless. Overall, I’m really happy with this and would definitely recommend it to anyone who sunk hundreds of hours into RTW as a kid.

Great game. Dear devs, This is a amazing game personally I’ve never tried it on pc but Ik it lives up to its name great controls that’s why in my opinion the next best thing would be to add online mode so many people would LOVE this addition to the game sometimes the ai can get boring and fighting actual players would be a great freshen for the total war community y’all probably aren’t gonna respond but I hope u see this at least keep up the good work👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Battle Controls Break the game. I am new to the Total War games, and overall, I think the concepts and gameplay are of stellar design. The game being on mobile makes it even cooler, to a degree. But the control you have over your units while in battle is laughable. I’d like to try to “get good” with tactics (which is a large part of the game), but simply positioning multiple units in a line is difficult, clunky, and frustrating. I absolutely understand that making a game like this for mobile would be a difficult task, but I feel like the controls in combat may be improved, regardless of the awkward mobile platform.

Dont be afraid. I have been playing this game for several weeks now and can say gameplay is about as consistent with the PC version as you could expect, with an added bonus of larger unit sizes like Rome II. The only annoying bug I have found is when trying to construct forts, no matter the faction or where it’s constructed once you build a fort your army gets stuck and will not vacate. Only thing you can do is disband your army, get attacked and lose, or wait for your family member to die. Please fix this!! Original Game only, hesitant to buy the expansions.

iCloud transfer literally doesn’t work. I’m trying to transfer my save from iPhone to iPad and there’s literally no way to do that... I already turned on “Rome: Total War” in my iCloud settings, I’ve installed the official “Files” app provided by Apple, nothing related to the game shows up in there. I am also jailbroken, so I can browse my phone’s directory to find the save files so I can manually transfer them. Usually they’re located at /var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application. The folder folder for Rome Total War exists alright, but when I go inside the Documents folder, there’s no save game files there. Completely broken game, there’s no sense of buying this if the devs won’t even let us transfer or backup our saves.

Almost perfect. This game is great, except for a few problems this game is perfect, but it's those problems that could make this lose its fun. Problems that were my fault: when the game was downloading it kept downloading almost fully and then a message came up saying it couldn't download, but my IOS wasn't high enough. Problems that aren't my fault: The game seems to just fail to tell you key details on how to control the game and the controls on important things could have been done better if they put more thought into it. Over all the game is great and I recommend it but some big issues can be frustrating.

Good game but controls need work. The game itself is good but the combat is pretty hard to control I find myself actively avoiding armies I can’t crush with the weight of bodies but even then I lose hundreds it is mainly the controls that cause this as it takes me at least a 5-10 minutes to set up a basic formation because the controls that you set up the men with are wonky at best and every battle I play turns into a slaughter as the ai can snap into place no problem but I have to pause the game and move coordinate troops which I’ll have to do all over again once the ai decides to shift its army over a bit overall I love the campaign aspects but I can’t battle and auto resolve is a cruel thing.

Review. I really enjoy this game! So glad its now in my hands a portable computer game! Enjoy all the hard work that you had put in the details makes the fights that much more better! Although I would really like to see multiplayer functions and vs against friends and family or strangers lol! Do you know when this might happen is it possible? Overall Im A BIG FAN of this game and hope you have took the time to read and apply multiplayer I would greatly appreciate it! I am definitely continuing this game!

Love Creative Assembly. I’ve been playing Total War Games since the original Shogun on PC these games are great. So glad for a port over to the IOS. I very much hope we will see Total War Medieval at some point (hint hint Developers). I also like that the Developers will respond to reviews. My only complaint is the in battle controls are difficult and a bit clumsy making for me at least this portion of the game unplayable. If I had a mouse to point and click it would be different I know. Overall outstanding port and you kept it true to the original.. bravo guys.

Great Game. Though it’s been said time and time again Rome Total War is an amazing game and being able to take it anywhere I want takes it to a whole knew level-my only complaint is it’s hard to tell your units to face certain directions for example I had a Germanic spearman force defending a town-as I tried to move my men in front of the wall the battering rams were targeting my men would face the wrong direction I would use the two finger thing but it was still rough. But apart from that all in all the best total war game I’ve played (out of Rome 2 and Napoleon so that might not mean to much)

TOTAL WAR FAN. I love all Total War games including Napoleon Total War I just found out about this game months ago & I am here to let you viewers see my positive feedback for this game it’s almost similar to the PC version only difference it’s on mobile I play on my iPhone I could use iPad but I feel comfortable using phone I wish they could bring up a Napoleon Total War & Online features would be very amazing. Good job for making this game mobile all we need is more stuff let the senates & rebels be playable would be cool.

Total War for iPad, finally!. I've always loved the TW games, all the way from Shogun. I played a few of the original iPad TW collection and I faded away from them because it just wasn't the same. Now, this is a TW game end to end. I haven't had technical issues, like a few have commented here. The game plays nice and smooth in my iPad Pro, and its fast processor and vast memory could be the biggest factor here. Either way, I enjoy, again, playing this game, now on my iPad. Can't wait for more titles, like Shogun, Empire, etc.

Rome shell does not work for iPhone. I’ve played this game since day one of its release! I have won with every playable faction and yet it’s still fun to kill time! Recently I got it for my iPhone and it’s still the same game just little differences on how to get to different screens. The cheats don’t work cause I still can’t get Rome shell to appear the way it’s suppose to on iPhone 11.. I remember having this problem on pc after I gotten the barbarian expansion but I can’t seem to remember how I got that to work again in the settings so I can do the same on iPhone but it would be nice to have an update to allow the Rome shell to work on the iPhone! Other than that it’s still one of the greatest games!

Amazing game. I have no actual complaints since I can’t afford a PC this is a great alternative and since it’s a really small screen it’s portable and I can play whenever also one thing when I start the empire campaign and schon Britannia it plays the intro for the Gauls... oh and also sometimes when I press on an army to move it at the bottom where it shows the troops sometimes it glitches and stays there even when I’m trying to siege a city or going into battle or even scrolling through the world

Awesome but 2 things. This game is THE best game I’ve played but the two things are 1: The graphics are quite bad and we’re are the shield 🛡 handle things whatever you call’em 2: Please fix the Spartan soldiers they DO NOT look like that please fix that I’m begging 🥺 you guys please Sparta is my favorite and I will not stop changing the review until you change the Spartan look I’m begging 🥺 you to fix it. But in other words, this game is absolutely THE BEST mobile game EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

NOSTALGIA!. Spent many of hours on my PC playingthis game at what is now almost 2 decades and 3 Grey hairs ago and now it’s a freaking mobile device! Already had the misses Ban me from the app on a few occasions but there’s some battles you just can’t drop. If you have played this game before it hasn’t changed besides the fact of some issues with larger armies and it being touch screen but still the luster is still there. Thanks for bringing back great memories in such convenience and I really am looking forward to “Medieval:TOTALWAR” if not the entire series!

Great game, but needs for factions. First thing’s first, I highly recommend this game. I have hundreds of hours in it, and I have not been disappointed. However, this game does have two issues. 1. The game crashes frequently. This is annoying at the start, but not really a big deal, but later on in a campaign, when you have 50+ cities, it really is frustrating to have the game crash, and you have to start your turn over, redoing ever construction and recruitment in your cities, and remove all your armies and redo battles. 2. The game needs more factions. The ones we have now can keep you interest for a long time, but eventually, things will get repetitive. If we had more factions such as Macedon, Thrace, Pontus, etc... that we could play as, there would be so much more variety. Anyways, this is a great game, and given that there was an update yesterday, I’m glad to see Feral haven’t abandoned this amazing game!

Just like old times!. The game is definitely 10/10 for me. I have yet to come across any issues, it works perfectly on iPhone and I’ve tested some major scale battles and don’t seem to lose any frames at all! One thing I did want to ask though since I’ve seen the developers respond to these reviews, is there any chance we’ll see more Total War games on IOS? I have a PC myself and I am a die hard fan of strategy games, and master pieces like this, I would love to be able to play while on the go. I do hope to hear from y’all soon and please keep up the great work!

My favorite game! Updated. I love this game! I have had it for my PC since it very first came out and still played it until this version for phones came about. The only complaint I have ever had is that it is very, very difficult to maintain a positive balance in the treasury. I feel like that problem was fixed in Medieval Total War but never in Rome. Anyway, that is literally the only complaint that I have had about these games! Love them! It would be really really nice if you could make some adjustments to the troops as have been suggested by others

Tutorials. I didn’t want to give the game one star because I know it’s a good game. However, the tutorials are very minimal. They throw you into the game, give you a few hints and tips and that’s it. I spent the first 10 minutes of the game scrolling around the map and clicking on things and trying to figure out what I need to be doing before I finally got frustrated and shut it off. The trailer doesn’t do it justice because it just looks like your typical command and conquer type game, which I was all for and seeing as it had mostly five star reviews, I thought it would be worth the $10 to give it a try. Please implement better tutorials for new players!

Almost perfect. This game is almost perfect. When I bought the original, it was not perfect as well but this version of the game is better imo. There’s just this minor thing when the music in the game just keeps playing the theme of when in battle when I’m in the world map, and it also plays the world map themes. That never happened in the original but still, I thought I should point that out so that it can get fixed. Overall, this game is just as good as I remember it to be.

Worthy port with some bugs. I was a huge fan of the original RTW on PC and this game takes the original and makes it portable. Gameplay is smooth and the interface is easy. A few suggestions though. I wish the UI would be updated to look more sleek and smooth. It would look much better with a UI that synced with iOS 11. Further, the game still has quite a few bugs, from the helper not working, to buttons glitching, and camera malfunctions. Please patch this! Otherwise fantastic game!

Awesome but.... I love this game so much and this really is a true Total War game but I think you should start improving the game now like add new countries or make new soldiers,I would like an new game mode to this game as well and I think you should really improve the graphics. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game but I really think you should improve this... so please answer my request and I would really appreciate it if you improve this game... thank you and please read my review and please update this game please...

Fantastic mobile version. The mobile app version of my favorite game Rome Total War is amazing. Just recently with the new update I was having some issue but I emailed the developer through the in game help. They quickly replied and helped me with my issue. The game is working wonderfully now and with the new update all factions are now playable (after beating the main campaign of course). The game never gets boring always new ways to play it and different factions. Definitely worth the price tag for the amount of time played.

Other Versions??. I absolutely love the Total War series as it is very exciting and beings out the complexity and story of our history. Yes the controls are a little wacky and hard to use, but it is certainly easy to overcome with practice. Now the biggest thing I have to ask is, will other versions be made?? I understand the game is brand new but I hope they will produce all the other total war versions. Napoleon: Total War is my favorite in the entire series. So are there plans to add them??

Great game. It’s a good game I love it and I come to it when I’m bored I love to play as Rome Greeks Britain and so on but sometimes I just want to hop on and play the campaign but I don’t want to march an army of Romans to Spain just so I can play as them can you please ad more factions to the setting please I love this game but I don’t want to march army’s half way across the map and then have to take and destroy every faction so I can play as them please just ad more factions to the setting I love this game but this is the only reason I rated it 3 stars and I love this game.

Good but still needs a bit of work. I love this game and had it on my pc I have no real issue with the game its self but have an issue with two things one is there is now naval combat for the amount of time I have played and got into my first navy combat I was excited but then realized I can only auto resolve making it kinda upsetting the second is research it’s difficult to believe that there is no research and I haven’t been able to find I looked everywhere and still can’t find it if these two things could be added this game would become a lot better

Great but needs Epirus. Hi I’m a big fan of the Rome Total War franchise but I think it would be great if you could add in Epirus. I was kind of upset when I played the Siege of Sparta and I was playing with Seleucid soldiers. Also I didn’t like how in the campaign when I was playing as the Brutii and Epirus was controlled by rebels and Greeks. At least give Epirus Greek controlled territory in the campaign so they don’t get destroyed immediately by the Romans. Thank you and I’m not hating on the game, but trying to make it better for everyone.

Amazing!. Great job devs. All the complexity, depth and scale of the original franchise are there. Actually the navigation is better suited to mobile. Surprisingly few bugs. The unit control during battles tho is a little frustrating. I wish there were more options to reposition the army without messing ip the formations. Haven’t been able to make that work yet. Also grouped unit, especially cavalry, sometimes dont follow orders. I’m having more fun with this than anything I’ve downloaded from the appstore in recent memory.

I absolutely love it. I’ve alway just watch hours upon hours and days of this game, and I haven’t really had the time to actually play it so this is kind of a dream come true. And I know the game isn’t perfect but that can’t be expected because it’s a pc game put on to mobile, but it’s still amazing. I’d definitely say it’s worth more than $15 so thats a steal. I just really love the total war games, and also if at all possible, total war: Medieval 2 would be great to add on as well

It’s About Time!!!. Genius I tell you! Genius! I’ve moved the PC version I’ve played for so mane years and now the mobile version comes out and it brings me back to my childhood! I love the expanded amounts of units per squad and (if anyone noticed) the increased range of catapults and the ability for catapults to fire from inside a city. Just make sure that if you’re gonna spend the money to get the game, pack in mind that it’s a complex game that will lag older devices. I play it on an iPod 6 gen so NO COMPLAINING if you download the game on a low old phone. Enough said. Worth the money.

Fantastic Game. I’ve played this game both on the PC and now the iPad, and I have to say I’m incredibly impressed by how well this game has been ported. The controls are intuitive, easy to master, and make for a great gaming experience. Also, I really appreciate the fact that they didn’t cut out any of the features from the original game - the map is still the same size, all the factions are available to be played, etc. Overall, I would highly recommend this game as it’s identical to the PC version, just on the iPad.

Really disappointing at times. At its core I love the majority of the game but the crashing happens a little too often and you can’t always recover from it. when you’re given the option to continue a battle that your game crashed in the middle of, it seems like it decides to randomize a scenario instead of putting you back in the same battle you had been fighting previously. Very frustrating when all but two of their units have routed and yours are still mainly healthy and then when you reload after a crash half their troops have come back and half yours end up in places across the map they never were or routing themselves.

Won’t download. Absolutely love the Total War Series and was super excited to see it here on the App Store. I’m currently deployed and decided to buy the game to play during my free time, but every chance I have to download it an error pops up saying it can’t be downloaded at this time and to try again later. It gets roughly halfway downloaded when this error appears. It’s been 3 days and multiple phone restarts later/google searches of how to fix this issue, I still haven’t been able to download it. I know Afghan internet isn’t the best, but it has been relatively stable during the hours I’ve attempted to download. Really wish there was some support or fix for this issue! Would love to play the game

Read this please. The reason why I write this is because it is a complaint because the game has very few graphics and I complain about $ 10 and I like the game but improve the graphics and because they do not take more total wars for mobiles but please be free as Napoleon total war, total war shogun 2, total war warhammer 1 and total medieval war 2. To make it better and have more experience in other total war as if it is the beta it does not matter but you find more variety of total war in the App Store and play store. 😊😊😊😊😊😊🛒😇😇😇😇😇😇

Medieval 2 come to iPhone?. I just want to say that ROME: TOTAL WAR is a fantastic game and I really advise playing it!! But I’ve always wondered because this game has become extremely successful on iPhone that I was wondering if Midieval 2: TOTAL WAR could come to iPhone? As I see it’s the same graphics and runs almost the same as ROME: TOTAL WAR. I really hope it come on iPhone because I had a blast doing ROME: TOTAL WAR and I truly believe Midieval 2: TOTAL WAR would be a huge success like ROME: TOTAL WAR is now on iPhone please put it on iPhone!!!

Immersive!. As a watcher of the PC games I always loved this. However, getting a good PC is pretty expensive so I’ve always held the trigger of not buying one. However when I saw this I was super glad! Not too expensive and really fun! 1. The battles are epic! The generals speech at the beginning really helps with this. Gives it a sense of importance. The music track is also epic! 2. The campaign is really fun! Has a nice mixture of politics and action. Makes you think which I love. 3. Has a great many factions to choose from. A variety, all with different play styles. I personally love Egypt and their chariots. Fun to mess with. 4. And finally, the variety of maps makes it really fun! Changes the experience every time. Makes it new and fresh again! Overall the developers did a fantastic job! I hope more Total War titles are added to mobile in the future!

Other titles. I love the total war series but don’t own a gaming Laptop so when I’m working all night can’t play them. I got so excited when I saw this was out. I hope for more titles and maybe one day multiplayer support to play with the mobile version with them on their phones. This is truly awesome runs great even on my iPad Pro. It’s great to have the kind of RTS gaming I like on mobile gaming. Please keep up the great work and hope to buy the other titles once they are out.

One of my favorite games of all time!. This is just about a perfect port of one the greatest games. Feral Interactive knocked it out of the park. In this day in age when in-app, micro purchases are all the rage, this is a breath of fresh air. A fully intact, classic PC game that I can play on my iPad with no discernible downgrades is amazing, and it actually gives me hope for iPad gaming. The touch screen controls are almost perfectly translated and intuitive. Every now and then I will accidentally command the wrong action because of issues highlighting and unhighlighting units on the fly, but apart from that everything is just about perfect!
