Entertaining puzzle. You play by rotating images and playing with perspective and form to create new images which then lead to further new experiences. It's entertaining and relaxing to see the game/puzzle progress.

Delightfully weird. The nonsensical objects combine perfectly with the wacky music to create a surreal experience as the ordinary becomes weird. Reminds me of ISLANDS: Non-Places, which is a strong recommendation.

Bugs in new update. There is a bug where after I played it I couldn't get back in the witch lair?? I tried several times restarting the game but it didn't work :( I do hope you fix it as this one of my most favorite games. Good luck! I was using an IPad Air 2 if you were wondering.

Worth the few dollars for so much fun. I got this game when it came out a few years ago, but at the time I wasn’t really into these types of games so I didn’t play it and forgot about it. I just downloaded it again and I am playing it now. They did add some additional content from the original game I believe, I haven’t finished it yet, there’s still one or two areas I haven’t unlocked yet. It’s more a puzzle toy than a game per se, but it’s very fun and I love the optical element of it. I love these types of games now. I would recommend GNOG and Winding Worlds (on Apple Arcade)

Clever and entertaining. If you like spatial/physical type puzzle games with hidden secrets and unexpected elements, this game is the perfect choice. I loved the rooms, the simple graphics, and the fun game interactions. The spooky room was my favorite.

Awesome. A satisfying puzzle that keeps managing to surprise me! Honestly, though, words don't do it justice. Playing this game feels really good (haven't felt this way with a puzzler in a long time). Thanks so much for making it (and try it out if you haven't)! ❤️

Brilliant. Just wish there was more!getting it! I've played games for much longer spans of time that I can barely even remember. But I know that I will remember vignettes for a long time to come because of how unique and well done it is. I hope the developer makes more games, but if they don't I'm happy to have this gem on my phone.

Fairly decent game. The game is engrossing as you get lost shifting around the items, although I will say that as you get accustomed to the gameplay it becomes easier to navigate. However there is a major glitch with the camera - after taking a picture the app becomes nonresponsive and requires rebooting. It's a fairly irritating glitch. EDIT: so it's still glitching for me after the mid-May fix, it's the selfie version that gets stuck EDIT 2: The meadow/woods are fixed for me, but still stuck on mountains for some reason.

Great Game, Want More. This game is a bit pricey for only about 2-3 hours of gameplay, but it’s totally worth it. It’s so much fun messing with the objects and seeing where each will lead, especially since there are no instructions or explanations to guide you. It’s a great game to beat and then watch your friends try out, since now you know how to beat it and they don’t. I also love all the little easter eggs and two secret links that you can get by putting all the puzzle pieces together. My only concern is that I want this game to be longer. I could go for hours and hours turning objects and doing cool little things, and this sort of feels like a teaser or demo of a full game. While I really do enjoy this game and give it 5 stars, I still beat it wanting more, maybe more secrets, more objects, or, once you get all the keys, an entirely new world of objects is opened. Granted, that would be doubling the game size, but it would make the game SO much better because I never get tired of the intriguing concept.

Incomprehensible. Don’t understand any of it. Just spent my time randomly tapping, waiting for something to happen. The figures would randomly spin around, sometimes leading to other, blocked figures. No instructions, no guides. Sometimes a hand would appear, indicating a tap or a swipe. Ok, I did that, now what? Nothin’. Dull.

Clever but still has glitches. I agree with folks who want a better guide to the puzzles. Or else there’s still a glitch or two. When you get to the scroll you can’t make all the potential transformations that appear to be available and there’s no where else to go that I can see. Tried every angle but no way forward. Ditto for the lockets and the cards— no way to move the game along. A fun game that turns very boring/frustrating, I am ready to banish it from my iphone.

The voodo doll glitch. The voodoo doll won’t turn back into the mortar and pestle at all ever. My phone vibrates as if it is going to change back but it doesn’t change

Really fun. This game is great. I bought it last night and played till I beat it. It is a little short but it's so much fun. Kinda hard to explain what type of game it is, it was just really unique. You twist and turn the object to make the colors form into different objects. There's also little secrets to find. It was relaxing and clever and just an all around cool game. Hoping they add to it. Give it a shot. Edit: Unfortunately after the new update the game has become unplayable. The chest in the very beginning won’t even open to allow access to the game.

Awesome visuals, clunky mechanics. After playing this game, I feel torn because I didn't enjoy it, but I can tell the developers worked really hard on it. The visuals and music are fun--I really liked the color palettes and the artwork itself. However, I'd get frustrated a lot trying to find new objects because as I explored, objects kept turning into ones that I'd already discovered. So I was constantly undoing and redoing with no forward progress. If you like easy going games that involve visual rewards and exploration, you might like this. I prefer more strategy and less finicky swipe mechanics.

Great game but not great value. I really loved this game and thought it was a great little toy to mess around with, I even 100% completed it. I don't think the price is worth how short of a game I received though. I'd still recommend it but I would warn anyone that it's very short.

I keep redownloading this game!. I found this game years ago and ever since I have come back to it to find new things to discover. I love this game, it has the most unique art style and game features with a fitting soundtrack. If you want a delightful puzzle game please get this!!

Got Me Hooked!. This game is a very addicting puzzle turner and it’s unique in its own way I’ve never been hooked on an iPhone game unlike this I would recommend to everyone I find :)

How was the music made?. The game is great. I really wish I knew more about the creation of it. There’s nothing else like it. And the music is super cewl. It’s been stuck in my head recently for some reason even though I played this around 7-8 months ago.

Fun puzzle game that’s easy to get lost in. It’s easy to lose time swiping and turning the shapes. I love that they keep adding levels, making it totally worth the cost.

Buggy?. The chest won't open after putting in the last key. I can turn it around, but it won't open no matter what I do.

Really fun, but needs a tiny bit more guidance. I think this game has lots of promise, and is really fun. I just wish there was a little bit of a better catalogue of where you've been, and also I wish there was a more cohesive explanation of how things work. And if there is some ultimate goal or if it's just discovering objects ad infinitum.

Awesome fun—very different. This is a great game. It reminds of some of the puzzles I solved when playing the Myst/Riven games of the 90s. Well worth the cost. It may take some time at first to understand what you are trying to do/accomplish in the game. Be patient and you’ll be rewarded. The game can be a bit frustrating at times but it’s very ascetically pleasing and gratifying when you discover a new object or unlock a secret within the game. It’s almost as if the whole game is finding Easter egg after Easter egg.

I absolutely loved this game. The visuals and colors were stunning and the gameplay was challenging but still fun. It is a little short so I hope more gets released soon

Beautiful. A gorgeous app that is really a work of art. Sound, color, and interactivity are all done to perfection. My only complaint is that the app crashes every time I go from the goblet back to the hour glass. Not sure if this is only on my phone. Edit: the above was fixed and I was able to complete the game. It's absolutely wonderful. I've not played any other game quite like this one.

So creative and intriguing. This is the best mobile game I've played by far. Really beautiful graphics, seamless tutorial-free gameplay, relaxing music. I only wish it were longer! A must play even if you're not a mobile gamer.

Changed?. I agree w some others here, it’s become more difficult and a lot less fun. Ive reloaded the game a few times to try the update and can’t get past first two sections. I have spent too much time gently maneuvering one item —that I was able to work before, but now — get nothing. Perhaps they should offer an easier version for those who would otherwise get stuck and give up.

Lovely design. No idea what im doing.. Design and gameplay is so amazing. Concept is great. Tons of content. I just wish there was a bit more text about what is going on - can’t tell how to progress and why there are different collections. I feel like I start the game over for each time I open it. I can tell the figuring out the menus and stuff is sort of part of the game experience but it’s not as intuitive as it could be - iconography and progression is still confusing.

Total Waste of Money (Rip Off). This games was a Total Disappointment!!! I can’t believe I even spent money on it now. No free test mode, no instruction menu on what to do, and no rewards for completing levels are just a few of the problems with this game. I bought it because of a high rating. I’m not sure why anyone would give it positive reviews, it only positively sucked. I’d ask for my money back if I could so I’ll settle for this 1star rating. I would have put 0 stars but it wasn’t an option 💩

Beautiful, unique puzzle game. This game is one of a kind. It’s a short for a puzzle game, but really well polished and fun to explore. The graphics look amazing and the music is really mellow and relaxing. It’s not especially challenging, but that’s perfectly ok - it’s more about the experience and interacting with every item than the puzzle itself. It took me about 3 hours to fully complete the game, and I think it was worth every dollar spent. Real games are getting to be pretty hard to find these days on the App Store, with the pay-to-win and freemium games dominating the mobile industry. I was lucky enough to find this gem and I recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new. Big thanks to the devs, I had a lot of fun exploring your game! The effort you put into the game really shows :)

Great game!. I really love this, it challenges the brain and it forces you to look into the future and catalog of possibilities to find out where to go. Is it wrong or creepy though that I know exactly what music program was used to make the soundtrack? 😅

How to do this gem justice?. In the game, there are few (if any, I’ve not completed) words in this game. As such I’m not sure I can say anything that will convince you how good it is. At least imho. There is no way a still image, video or description can accurately express the beauty that is this game. You just have to try it. A silent, stylistic perspective-driven mystery that hints at a whole much bigger than the sum of its parts. I downloaded but kept putting off playing. Now it might be my favorite experience from the App Store (calling it merely a game is selling it short) Well, since the game thrives without spoken or written language, I should follow suit and just shut up and let you play. Bravo, devs!

More levels. You should make more levels and stuff to turn into because this game is really fun and I'm sad that it's so short

Most satisfying puzzle game that happens to have awesome creative art direction. Rarely am I really impressed with well conceived and executed a game is. This easily could have just been a neat art game which honestly I thought it was, until I started discovering all the puzzles within . So so so satisfying to finish... and you get a secret gift from the developers too ;) so much fun!!

Good game. I love the game, and especially the idea of being able to create stuff from completely unrelated items (i.e., a tv from a pan), but it is a little bit short. Of course, I'm not complaining too much, because at only $0.99 it is a steal!

Vi-get-tte this game. Every time I play this game I’m always amazed by how many possibilities there are and the intricacy of this game it amazes me how many ways you can change something into something else. Marvelous!. The concept is amazing, and you do not bombard the player with written instructions, which can sometimes get monotonous. The color schemes each work great together but can also stand alone beautifully. It's been a while since I have enjoyed an app this much. Thank you for making this.

New Update. There’s already problem I’ve run into. After playing in the witche’s hut and accidentally clicking into the witch’s frame and looking at the key then out to the chest, it assumes I’ve already gotten the new key and does the whole sequence of making a new one; then the chest doesn’t even open, just makes the unlocking sound it did but without the key even on screen.

Takes a little to get it, but worth it.. I’m having fun with this game! I had to go back and look at what i was doing but i got the goal in the end. Great job!

Obtuse Interface. The game looks and sounds great but I couldn’t make much progress as I couldn’t sort out how to get back to where I had last left off when loading it for a 2nd time. I was frustratingly tapping on its random assortment of non-cue-giving icons to try and find my way back to the last “puzzle” I had completed to no avail.

Deceivingly Simple. This is seriously good fun! Controlling the game is simple, understanding the game isn't quite as easy. Vignettes is a brilliant puzzle game which consists of sections, rather than levels or stages to be completed. It can take a short while to figure out some of the tasks needed to complete each section, just remember that finishing a task in one section will help you complete a task in another section or enable you to explore an already explored area again with new objects. This is a satisfying game to play, with Easter eggs hidden everywhere, some helping to advance others just for fun. My advice, tap everything, if something changes don't think that's it, tap again you never know what might happen. Highly enjoyable.

Good but short. This is great, a really fun game that is easy to understand. What I was not impressed by was that I finished this in less than an hour. I paid nearly 5 dollars for this and I get less than one hour of gameplay. Overall great game but needs to be longer.

Pointless, boring. Don’t waste your money. The main challenge is working out the game system, since the designers were too lazy to explain it properly. The game itself involves turning objects in exactly the same way every single time. So it’s not actually a puzzle. Just a badly designed menu with cute images. How dare they charge $4.49 for this!

Good game but too laggy. For some reason it has a hard time calculating all the physics objects and gets really laggy, especially the hourglass. It’s even a bit laggy when it’s just one object.

Outstanding design. Every interaction needs no explanation, it's pure intuitive exploration. The more you play the simpler the concept reveals itself to be. While initially daunting, it quickly becomes a wonderful adventure through the creators imagination. One of the most delightful games on this platform in years.

More of a game than I expected. I was just expecting a cool visual experience but there's actually a game (of sorts) here. I love the concept and I got obsessed with finding all of the secrets. The whole thing took a few hours and it was a great few hours.

No idea if it's good, will not work.. Running iOS 9.3.5, enough space and everything, iPod Touch 6th Gen. It only opens, shows me a faint grey screen, and closes/crashes after 10-to-30 seconds. Hope it gets fixed soon, I'm trying to contact some sort of support but nothing is helping... :'(

a beautifully made wandering toy. This game is really very sweet. It's beautiful and sharp and has wonderfully playful sound design. You can just explore the objects at your leisure but there's also puzzles and secrets that can be surprisingly challenging even when you know what you're trying to do. Great stuff!

Interesting game. It looks simple and boring but it actually draws u in once u start playing! Every little detail makes this game unique and full of surprises.

Glitches in same place every time. This game is too short but OK. Yet every single time I flip the chalice to the crown, the screen freezes and the game shuts down. It's not my phone. I'm very aware of available memory and I keep one game at a time loaded on my 6s. If I can get 100 percent through Star Wars Lego the complete version without my phone screwing up I should be able to get through a piddly $2.99 time waster. Wasted $$.

This game.... Vignettes is an incredible experience. Ok, but really, it's awesome. It's one of those games that's really innovative, but any copycats (if any) won't stack up at ALL. Also, I recommend you find all of the secrets, because the reward is legitimately validating and satisfying. (Oh, also there's a reward, so.) Vignettes is a genuinely well-made and well-thought-out game, and if you haven't downloaded it by now, DO IT.

Beautiful, but if you're smarter than the average it's going to be easy.... As an avid gamer I weigh the price of a game to the time spent playing it. I should get a dollar per hour in ideal circumstances and replayability makes that an even more relevant variable.... as of typing this review, I've found all but two of the main items, albeit only four of the secrets and I've only been playing for about an hour. As it stands, I don't see where they might put any replay value into it, as when you know what sequence to traverse the items it becomes memory to swipe and flip and tap without much thought. It's a beautiful game, and it's clever and very engaging... at first... but after that initial hour it just left me wanting more. The sound design is key because it cues you into which item you just flipped to because each item has its own unique sound. Good game, but if you're good at puzzles and clever in general it might be too short for you.

I never write app reviews. I don't believe I have ever found an iPhone game interesting enough to review, but this one is just wonderful. It's very engaging and so creative. As someone who suffers from anxiety, engaging yet simple games like this are a great way to get my mind off of things without asking too much of me or, like some games do, stressing me out even more. A+.

Not entertaining. It's not clear how to play this game and you don't really do much more then pressing buttons to see if something happens. The design is beautiful but the concept of having fun is far from becoming real in this game.

A Wonderful Trip. Vingettes plays like stream of consciousness word disassociation. It begins simply enough; presenting you with the task of spinning and prodding to elicit reaction from myriad objects that cleverly lining up can transform and transform. These transformations link to each other by mood and tone, and to other zones by morphing the atmosphere through colour and music. What seems easy enough to start quickly spirals out of control into a daunting trek across the sprawling map of items, attempting to figure out how it all fits together, where new items are, what have you been missing? You won't put it down. Makes me feel like a child again. <3

I can't explain.... It is a game of discovery. It's mysterious and weird. I like it!

Voodoo doll not working. It appears to be impossible to switch from the voodoo doll back to the mortar and pestle.

Phenomenal Experience. I have no complaints. Such a wonderfully trippy experience. Worth the buy.

Good Game!. This game is great! It is beautifully colored, it is puzzling–but if you work hard enough at something you will get it eventually–all of the controls work wonderfully, and it is unlike any mobile game I have ever played. Not to mention there are no ads and no more things you have to buy after the upfront price of the app–$2.99 (which, by the way, is totally worth it). The really laid back gameplay is something that makes the game the most enjoyable. I applaud the creators of this brilliant and complex game!

Experiential. This is the best dream I ever had

Beautiful exploration. I love a mobile game I can take at my own place. Each object in the game is a new chance to unlock secrets, but I'm never punished for moving on if I can't solve every puzzle. The map and photographs give me goals without telling me exactly what to do. A great way to lose yourself in a pretty world of new perspectives.
