Why letter soup is my favorite word game 😎✌🏾😎. I am a senior disabled veteran Though my body is not quite rocking my mind continues to wonder and thrive Ls was the first that I know of to have a dictionary to actually explain the words you do not know especially the little three letter ones Like in scrabble you do not always get letters to make the bigger easier words but letters from the Greek alphabet. Also Ls has an equitable point system a virtual unknown one for one exchange And I get the idea these folks want folks to play the game and that is wonderful ✌🏾😎

Loved it until $80 was taken. This was a fine game until they took $80 from in-app purchases without delivering the purchased items, offering reimbursement or any real communication. Apple cannot assist and the company just sends automated responses. Now will take it up with the credit card company. UPDATE Thanks for the offer Eddie, perhaps you could start by responding to the multiple emails sent to the very same email address, when the problem first occurred nearly 2 months ago. Because of your lack of response, I challenged the charges and was reimbursed by the credit card company.

Customer service failed. It’s not that there’s never any fun in playing this game, or that it doesn’t challenge your brain in any way. Rather, what got me angry is the time I wasted trying to progress to an apparently non-existent level and their refusal to acknowledge that there is no next level. The apparently-last level involves 1000 time consuming games. There is no option to move on. The only option is to press Play...which returns you to level one. After being stuck playing the same 1000 games over and over again, I wrote them several times to either get help going to the next level or confirm that there is no next level — and they did not even have the courtesy to reply.

Painfully Generic. As an aspiring game designer, these kinds of games frustrate me. Y’know, the kind that’s juuuust polished enough to be appealing, but never tries to be anything more than popular, instead dedicating resources to marketing. While playing this, I get ads for a game that looks identical to this one, but cookie themed. Why would I play this over that one, or vice versa? Nothing sets them apart but the color of the background. Give the game a little personality, just because it’s a puzzle game doesn’t mean it has to be bland! Don’t get me wrong, this game is fine, but it’s painfully generic, and there are many more developers more passionate and creative who deserve your time.

Good Word Game. I’m rather fond of this game. It makes me use my brain! I don’t like, however, that so many obvious words are not those in the puzzle — or in any of the puzzles. I find it odd that “roil” has never been an accepted response. Or “frug.” There are many others but their choice, I suppose, since they developed the game. 😏 For new players: this game starts easy and gets harder and harder as you progress. You’ll find that many of the same words are in subsequent puzzles ... and then sometimes those words are never seen again. 😉 Kind of amusing.

Fun game. Sometimes I only have five minutes to spare and I can solve these puzzles quickly. I am fairly new at this game so the levels may get more difficult as time goes on. (I hope.) Hey developers- ya know what bugs me about this game? The answers are not in alphabetical order. It seems alphabetical would be logical and an easy fix. Also is there a way to see how many hints I have acquired? Couldn’t the hint button have that number on it? It has been fun and easy so far with no glitches. Hooray!

advertisements. I have been using this app for a very long time and have enjoyed the challenge. However, I am ready to move on to a similar app since you started flashing ads at the bottom of the screen. They are so close to the lower letters, it’s hard to avoid them. I find them very annoying and distracting. I know you need to make money on the app, but can’t you at least put a little more space between the letters and the stuff you have flashing?

Soup-er game. Love the challenge of this well done game. Lots of ads but they're mostly short and some are even interesting. It's great that hints are easily available. They can be purchased but are free for watching an ad. The words are grouped by their first letters but not alphabetically which adds to the fun. It also loads quickly which is great. C'est magnifique! Have to back track a bit...I just encountered a series of ads (for botulism) that are a full minute and a half and no way to get out of them (to get a hint). Grrrr....

Letter Soup — My cup of tea!. Being an orthographer and lexicographer for 6+ decades has been one of my hobbies. “LS” is especially fun because their is no “timed test” or time function. This allows me to really enjoy the challenge of my own intellect without any outside sources. It is frustrating at times when there are real legitimate words that are not in that bowl of soup. The ads are respectable and not too intrusive to allow you to accumulate a stash of “hints” when one really needs some help. This eliminates frustration and keeps my interest piqued. Super Game!. It's as fast paced or as slow as you choose. I have been playing for a few months now. Addictive! It takes a bit to not be frustrated when you spell legit words that a particular puzzle may not be looking for. Still, it expands a bit of my vocabulary...important at any age. Also, the game has a good uptime: it fails sometimes, but rarely, and they have a quick recovery process. So far, they have not "lost" any of my previous input. Yay!

Letter Soup. Good game! Several times the ads “freeze”, particularly when going from page to page. When you press “next page”, nothing happens. Then there is nothing to do but turn off the game. Now the same ad Xeljanz ( or something like that) is constantly freezing - will not “turn” to next page. Another point: why must we see 3 pages of ads for a medicine very few take or even would or should??? It’s getting repetitive and ANNOYING. I may not continue the game if these glitches continue; it’s not worth it when you just want a little break to play a few rounds. I do not want to purchase hints. Thanks.

Fun. Ads are aggravating ,but are part of the deal with "free " games... what I wonder is... why do you give points? What are they used for? They don't seem to give you hints or am I missing something?........ since last asking a question.. I now have another observation... why keep showing that I can get a free hint, but not allowing that to happen. I WILL NOT spend $ to play games... . I watch your ads... it's part Of the system... but PKEASE stop showing I can get a free hint if they aren't " available". If they are no longer being given... goodbye......

Issues with free hint. I’m lowering my review of this app to 2. I’ve been playing for a while now and there is no rhyme or reason to your advancement. I worked my way semi logically to a couple of different chefs then was a Barista 2 times in a row and now I’m a head waiter. Seems like the more levels you pass the worse job you get. Not that getting a promotion is all that exciting. I think there needs to be more incentive to keep playing. Mine is dwindling. One positive thing, the latest updates with the dictionary have been an improvement. Unfortunately, the game has become boring.

Had to Delete and Re-Install. I recently paid for the app to remove ads, but now I’m on “Cantina Mexican #7” and I can’t do anything. I can’t form words or even stir. It’s not responding at all. I just downloaded the update tonight and still nothing. Turned the iPad off and back on to refresh... Nothing. All other apps are fine. Help! Update: I deleted and re-downloaded the app and it’s working again. So the rating now reflects the game. I like that it has the dictionary definition available. Thanks for the response! It’s all good now. :)

Letter soup. I've been playing this game a looooong time. I loved playing, but It crashes quite frequently and when I sent an email ( about 3 times )they would reset me where I was until about 10 days ago when it crashed and they did not reply to my email. To top it all off, I had just purchased a bunch of hints. If they didn't want to reset, I think they should credit my account with the money I spent on the hints. Just beware, it crashes and starts you back at level one and I was way up there in levels. Good luck!

Developer’s answer has nothing to do with my post. I enjoyed this game. I got to Terminal Cafe, Level 5995 of Soup Czar, 190% complete. Then I was sent back to Level 1 of Terminal Cafe with no explanation. I have sent 3 requests to tech support asking why. I have yet to receive any answer other than the canned one that says they will get back to me but they never do. I have no desire to replay levels. Therefore I can’t recommend this game. If I’m at the end and no more levels are coming tell me so. Then I’ll delete the game and find a new one. At least have the courtesy to answer me and explain. Above is my review from Sunday which was finally published. The developer response listed below it in the App Store has NOTHING to do with my post. Thanks a bunch.

Dictionary disappears!!!. I really enjoy playing this game, and I don’t even mind dealing with most of the ads (though the video ads that force you to either watch a 30 second video or open the App Store are a pain!). My complaint is that the dictionary goes missing! Most words can be figured out with a little time, trial and error, or sometimes a single hint. I often manage to figure out a word I don not know and I love being able to open the menu, tap “Dictionary” and read the definition. Heck, it even automatically has the last word filled in! However, the dictionary tab seems to randomly disappear! It may be with updates, such as the last one, but can’t we just leave the dictionary there???

Nobody by this game it is awful and it steals your money !!!!. Fun with stumping you!. Just when you think this is super easy..thats when your stumped! Make sure you double check all your ideas first bc otherwise it costs you hints..Hints are a bit costly if you get stuck a bunch. I have noticed that i will try a word repeatedly and it doesn’t appear correct and then at end of choices..i use a hint only to find it was aword I previously had attempted so that’s a bummer.

Nice word game. I love word games and especially ones where I do not have to play against a timer. I quickly became addicted to this one. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of its dictionary. Example: I have a four letter-word left so I spell "mans" but doesn't accept it. The word it was looking for is "maos" which is a bird native to New Zealand. This is just one example of where it accepts a word not used in everyday language instead of one that is. Some words are not accepted, which is aggravating. Example: roil, rile. Another example is its inconsistency with anagrams. It accepts "SOS" but not all anagrams and many are obscure British ones. I wish the developers would have more consistency in the dictionary.

Super glitchy. I really enjoy this game but the glitches are driving me crazy. Over and over again, after watching an ad in order to receive a free hint, the “x” in the corner freezes and I’m unable to click out of the ad. The only way to return to the game board is to close the app. However after reopening, the earned hint is gone. This has happened to me countless times. Also, what happened to the ability to tap on a word and see the definition? I loved that feature as oftentimes the words are obscure.

Word Soup. It’s amazing! I am very addicted to it and it keeps me up a lot. I often play it when I wake up early but still don’t want to get up yet as well! It’s very challenging at times, and I enjoy learning new words, even the occasional words of foreign origin that I would most likely not hear of otherwise. The game is wonderful for keeping my brain active. I am an English and Spanish major and I love words. In fact, I would love to do a word soup in Spanish as well and hope one day it will be offered. You have given me a pastime that I enjoy doing every day. Thank you so much!

Disappointed with no restore. I updated my cell phone early last month and was not able to retain my level after playing this game for several months. Initial quick email reply from CandyWriter had attachments to restore my previous level, which they did, but then I was not able to ‘slide’ thru the letters. It would not do anything. After reinstalling the game, it started working again but I was on level one. I really enjoyed this game five stars worth. I am very disappointed that I cannot continue to play it unless I start all over. CW has yet to reply to my continued emails for HELP! They really should create a save option to avoid this in the future making it possible to restore your levels when switching cells. With technology today, people will always move up to the next best thing. Shouldn’t your game be able to follow you?

More Ads than game. It seems like more ads than game time. I do not mind an occasional ad, but this is ridiculous now. There is an ad in between each board. The “free hint” is a daisy chain of multiple ads clustered together. When ads come up it tries to connect and stream content from third parties. If you have solid WiFi, these 30 second cluster ads take a minute to get through, with you manually manipulating the advancement from one to the other. It used to be a fun game. Now it is a bunch of commercials with occasional game time. Tell your advertisers I am deleting this app from my phone.

My kinda game. this kind of game is addictive I never want to put it down when I’m playing I mean I’m up until 3 o’clock in the morning playing this game it is just wonderful the only thing that I don’t like is that when I changed phones it made me start all over from scratch and I was high on the leaderboard. It also prepares me for Words With Friends 2 FYI my power just went out and I’m still able to play my game but I choose not to do too much thunder and lightning. Signing off! Low battery signal!

Letter Soup is fun!. I love this word game! I play it all the time. The difficulty builds slowly over time but I enjoy the challenge. If I’m stumped for a word, there are hints (one letter in the word) available to purchase. Or I just wait for the whole word reveal sent in a notification within about a week’s time. It’s fun and challenging! It also sharpens your mind and spelling skills. If you like word puzzles, give Letter Soup a try!

No updates or bug fixes. I have enjoyed playing this game for a long time but over the last few months many of the “hint” ads lock up the game and you never get the bonus hint. I’ve reached out to the company via their “email us” feature over 10 times and have not heard anything from them and they game is not fixed. Is this company no longer in business? Disappointing because I like the game when it works!

Nice but lacks quality control. Several upgrades ago the “dictionary” link was removed and some of the words are suspect. So one cannot go see on what basis a certain word was used, when I know it is not standard English. Perhaps Merriam-Webster has relaxed their protocol.... Also—NOTE TO DEVELOPERS— ads we watch to get a free hint, like the current Angry Birds 2 that do not have a time limit and a link-X for closing it, but just keep repeating “Download” screen at the end, endlessly, are NOT acceptable and will drive users away. I don’t like having to close the game app to get rid of an ad, ever. What if I already have that app? Get rid of those ads, please, or you will be getting rid of a long-time player. I like the game so I hope they tighten up quality control. Otherwise I would recommend not messing around with it too much, it’s generally enjoyable as-is. Thank you!

Fun, but an issue.. Fun and enjoyable game, but there is a serious power issue. When I play the game at night, I tend to fall asleep playing it. When I wake up in the morning, my phone is dead. After some testing, I found that the game doesn't let iOS go to sleep like other games do, if behaves more like a video player, and prevents the screen from shutting off. This is unacceptable! Please fix it, or I will be forced to delete it and find another app to play. Also, I'll let me friends know about this "problem", and suggest they follow suit.

Getting on my nerves!. I play games more than I want to admit. A friend starting playing Letter Soup and sent an invite to download as she was promised $3.99 for generating more players. I downloaded as per her text request. I played, not my favorite game but thought I would give it a try. She did not (nor I) receive the $3.99 credit. Worst of all, I getting texts all hours, in her name, notifying me of her progress! I turned notifications off completely but, unless I block her from sending a text message to me, I can’t get rid of these unwanted text messages from appearing on my phone. I deleted the game because of this and hope no one gets texts going out from my number. Not appreciated or wanted! Game is a way to gain access to your contacts and messaging.

Feedback. Overall I like the game. I had purchased twice hints when you had a deal of 300 hints fir $2.99. However, I only received about 50 each time. At that time their was not a counter to keep track of the hints but it looks like recently you updated that. I’ve been reluctant to make another purchase with the bad experience from the first two. I do like the game though. Maybe if you could find a way to earn hints as you progress to different levels or if you complete a certain percentage of completed words on the timed challenge. Totally addicting!!!. I have been pretty obsessed with this game since I started playing a few months ago. There’s not much to complain about. It’s easy to rack up extra hints by watching ads. These are a little annoying but worth it. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is a little bit of inconsistency between levels. For instance, a word might work on one level, and then the same word might not be recognized on the next. No big deal overall. Still a great game and I’ve learned a few new words!!!

Which came first the Cookies or the Soup?. In the title, I'm referring to Word Cookies & Letter Soup. Sure seems like somebody had an original idea & somebody else had an idea to use a like template. Amazing similarities. I like both games. This one I can tap to define & learn. (Why I like Boy Howdy word games) The ads here a a bit much, plus I don't like buying hints as another reviewer mentioned. (Rather watch a Short ad) This is still a bit buggy. Add that to the ads plus hint purchase & Word Cookies wins by a Star. Doesn’t mean I won't keep checking in to play & enjoy this one.

Keeps my mind working. And I would be giving 5 stars if I wasn't kicked out of the game almost every time I decide I am willing to watch an ad for a free hint. 'Almost every time' are the operative words here...about once every 10 times the ad I have watched actually connects to the App Store ....otherwise the screen goes blank. And I have to go do something else. Try to fix this or get rid of the free hint box. Ads are annoying but being locked out of an enjoyable game is even more annoying.

Terrific Game—Been Playing for Months!. I have really enjoyed Letter Soup!! After trying several app games that are word-related, I chose this and one other app and I play Letter Soup almost daily. The puzzles are increasingly challenging, however if you get stuck they will help you out w/hints. I refuse to pay for an app like this, and have gone a long way playing for free and I don’t mind watching the occasional ad to help them pay their bills. There is also a sense of humor about the app that I appreciate. (If I don’t play for a few days, they will text me a clue; and when I do finally play, a message pops up that says something like, “Phew! We’re so glad you’re back. We were worried about you!”) which I find endearing. I also like that each word has a link to its definition, which helps improve my understanding of some words, even though I have a pretty large vocabulary. All in all, they are very generous with their clues and it’s a very nice, well-functioning app. My one criticism would be that sometimes and inexplicably legitimate words are not recognized by the app, while at other times slang words (which you wouldn’t think would be acceptable) are. Fun and challenging—keep up the good work Letter Soup! :-)

Fun game but the referral for 25 hints doesn’t always work. I’m hooked on the game but I’ve had two people download the game with the referral for 25 hints that didn’t ever come through for me or for them but two others that it did work for. It’s a little annoying since now they’ve downloaded it it’s not like we can just try again. Edited: developer remedied the issue promptly! Still enjoying my new addiction 😂

Fun and Challenging. I get a lot of enjoyment from playing this word game and sometimes some frustration when I just can’t seem to find the last word. Normally, if I just “walk away and come back later”, I get it. It keeps my brain working (I’m 78, so this is important!) and gives me a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction when I am successful! My only complaint is that I paid for hints which I still have not received. When I try to re-enter the purchase, I get a message saying that it was already purchased and the hints would be loaded; but while I see the effort being made, the hints never arrive & I can’t find a “Help” location to find out how to make contact so I can get this fixed. Meanwhile, I have to purchase fewer or more hints because I’m stuck in a “spinning loop”.

Disappointed; Deleted It. Thought I liked this app. I was a professional writer and editor for many years, so I find most word games too easy. This was pretty good once I was past the lower levels. It’s free to install and play, but you have to buy “hints,” which I did. I started to get annoyed when it didn’t recognize certain legitimate words and did recognize some slang that would probably be challenged in Scrabble. (Doesn’t recognize “lea,” which means “pasture,” for instance, but does recognize “bro.”) Then it really irked me by IMO tricking me into using up my hints. I struggled to figure out the last word in one game, was forced to use a bunch of hints, and it turned out to be the plural of a word it wouldn’t accept the singular of. 😡 I actually emailed the makers and accused them of “cheating” to stump you and make you buy more “hints.” No response. Also if you accidentally delete the app (I swear, my iPhone does it on its own), you’re back to the bottom level. I emailed them about that, too, and heard nothing. So I’ve deleted it. I’ll play card games or Jigsaw Puzzle.

Fun game but many technical problems. I liked this game. It’s fun. But occasionally you will need hints to compete a round and that’s where the problems are: 1. In order to get a free hint, you need to watch an ad. Some are 10 seconds, but others are more like 40 seconds. Advertisers must think longer is better but I frankly just resent it and resolve never to buy what’s offered. Seriously, play the game and you’ll see what I mean. 2. The game crashes frequently when you watch the ads. When it does (probably 1 out of 4 or 5 ads), you lose the free hint and have to watch another ad to get the hint. If I was cynical, I’d think this was intentional, but even giving them the benefit of doubt, it’s inept at best. With all the complaints, why can’t they solve this? Or do they prefer not to solve it? 3. Here’s the worst part. If you click through on one of the ads, you don’t get the free hint. That’s right, if you do exactly what the advertisers want you to do - click through to their website or App Store - you lose the free hint and have to watch another ad! They have actually “built in” a major disincentive to patronizing the advertised products! I recommend you don’t get this app until they fix these major problems.

Beware!. Game starts off easily enough but it gradually gets harder with more letter combinations. Keep in mind that this app uses European spelling. Example: “grey” not the American “gray.” It will use words that are obscure, or rarely used in today’s vocabulary. I swear some are just plain made up! When’s the last time you used “venose?” Having written all that, the game is fun and challenging. You’ll fry your brain trying to find the words in these puzzles. After you reach a certain level you can participate in a daily challenge to win hints. Quit reading this and go play!

Not bad. I’d probably give it 5 stars, but a lot of the time it’s simply a matter of guessing which words the developer has chosen to include in any particular puzzle. Many words that are perfectly legit are ignored. And then stuff like the fact that “fed” wasn’t accepted for the first 80% of the game, then suddenly was, just makes it a bit exasperating. Loud, annoying ads pop up after almost every puzzle (haven’t figured out why OCCASIONALLY they don’t). I know, buy the real version and they go away, but I feel like with as many times as they pop up that they’re already making enough money off of this (no idea what they make in reality, but as often as the ads occur, it should be a lot). Other than those little annoyances, well written and looks and plays well.

Love this game! New update meh. I love this game and I’ve loved it for a long time. Perfect balance of easy and challenging words, as well as various ways to get hints. Anytime I have a few minutes to spare, I open up this app. No penalties for incorrect guesses, there are daily challenges, and frequent updates 👍🏼 I wish the letters were still the same size, the new sound effects are strange, and I don’t think having Stir in the middle is better, BUT! The developers are very responsive, and I’ve never encountered that with any other apps :) You guys are doing the best you can with all of the feedback you’re getting, and that’s awesome! Thank you!

Latest release disappointing - updated. I was unhappy to discover that the daily free hints have disappeared in the latest update. And if that wasn't disappointing enough, the free hints that occasionally pop up that ask you to watch an ad to get a hint still appear. But when you click on them, they don't connect to the ad any longer. I've been enjoying the game very much until this new development. Update: I was delighted to hear from a developer almost immediately after my review posted and to learn they are working on a fix for the problem. They also sent me a coupon for free hints that more than made up for my hassles. Great customer service! My only complaint now is that there are lots of real words this game doesn't recognize, which I do find a little frustrating. But otherwise it's a great game. Update #2: two weeks ago, I was really enjoying this game, but I'm beginning to lose my patience. The free hints have disappeared again, by which I mean they are offered and I watch the ad through only to have the screen freeze and no hint materialize. Not sure how much longer I'll be playing this game, if the developers don't find some consistency.

Fun, and sometimes frustrating. I’ve really enjoyed playing letter soup. It’s good exercise for the brain, and at times very challenging! I get frustrated at the exclusion of words I feel should be included, but that’s a minor annoyance. I enjoy the ease of getting hints simply by watching a short ad. I’ve amassed more hints than I can use, because I try to limit myself to only one hint per round, though every once in a while I need more. The biggest frustration for me is the placement of the hint button. It is located precisely where my thumb naturally rests when holding my iPad, so I’ve accidentally used up hints when I didn’t need them! Its my fault for playing when I’m sleepy! But I do wish the developers hadn’t been so clever, and instead had placed the hint button somewhere less likely to be accidentally touched. But really, that too is a minor inconvenience. Letter Soup is a wonderful game to play when you only have a few minutes to spare, but I’ve also played for hours at a time, getting lost in the challenge of learning new words! I highly recommend this game!

Disappointing reset to level one. Have enjoyed Letter Soup for some time. However for the THIRD time the game has reset itself to level one. ?????? I can’t find anywhere on the game screens to explain this or for information on how to contact any type of support. The first time it reset, I was able to contact someone and it was corrected but they explained it had happened when I transferred to a new phone. Now again I had transferred the game to a new phone and I just started the game as if new. But now it unexpectedly just dropped the game back to level one and I don’t know why. I know I was a lot further up on the levels the last time I played, so I don’t think this is why. Can anyone explain this? Are we “limited” in how many levels we can play? If so, I guess I’m done with your game and will find another word game.

Cute and addictive. Super enjoyable and cute word search game. Fellow App users, I encourage you to make at least one small purchase from the app. Just as we would pay for a candy bar at the store, here we are using a product that has people's salaries and company expenses behind it. It seems only fair that we pay for enjoying their product. Just my two cents.

Good game, but..... I have enjoyed playing Letter Soup for a while. Today I had an unhappy experience, however. I actually enjoy watching the ads for free hints and have taken advantage of several opportunities. Today, a “Write from Home” opportunity came up as the featured ad. This involved a software purchase, so I needed to take a few minutes to check my bank balance to arrange payment. While I was doing this, the app crashed, removing all information about the opportunity. I lost a possible job lead and the company advertising lost a customer. 😕

Completely addicting!. Letter Soup is challenging and enjoyable ...and I love it! I play it more than any game and have, in fact, deleted most other games I’ve played. I feel like it keeps my brain engaged - and that’s s good thing for older adults. I have to use a “hint” occasionally; but if you pay attention, you can purchase 300 hints for $2.99 - and that lasts a long time. I highly recommend this game to everyone!

Better than before. I used to play this when the user had to select one letter at a time. Swiping is much better. It also opens and closes a lot faster. Still highly addictive. One thing I don't like is that you used to earn one hint after every solve. Now it's only occasionally or if you watch an ad. Bring back the hints after every solve....or at least every level

Tricky but fun. Word games always have their own slightly delicate rules. Most of the words are those you’ll recognize once brain fog clears and you see them. Others I am fairly sure you have never heard of . I have a good vocabulary but these are tough, not often but now and then. One of their favs is to spell the same word two ways. I just like finding words. There are lots of games on line that are truly unfair so that they might earn money. Money is fine, but these folks are fair.

Fix the visuals. Used to love it, but the update has the hint and timer boxes over the letters in the bowl so you can’t see all letters at the same time to play. Ver irritating

Where have the free hints gone?. I love this game, makes me think but since the last update I haven't been able to receive free hints by watching an ad! Now I only get them when playing Soup of the Day and they don't last long 😩 lol

Something is wrong. I love this game and have played it for many years but for the last few months the screen locks at the end of most advertisements and I have to reboot the game. There does not seem to be anyway to report this problem.

My game stopped working so I turned my phone on and off and then the game completely reset itself and after all my progress I am back to the start which is now just boring I'd been playing the game for months now and made it so far and now to just have to start again isn't fun - time for a different word game I think

Fun but nags for ratings. I love a good anagram app and this one is fun. Still, at least once a day I get asked what I think of the game. After tapping the same good option for weeks in a row I am now tapping the worst one on principle. Stop being so needy!

Good Game BUT;. Have got a new IPad, have found out when setting up this game again, it went right back to start. Am not happy, wasted all that money. 😭

Slow and laggy. The game play seems ok though I found it hard to keep going passed the basic levels because the interface was so tedious. Spaghetti line between letters must be drawn painfully slowly otherwise it misses some. Deleting and moving on to another app

Long time player. Edit: if you want to keep playing and eliminate the giant ad banner over the bowl turn your device to Aeroplane mode and banner won’t show. Been playing this for 3 years and it’s been great till the latest update. NEW Advertising update has splashed a giant running banner across the sight line on the bowl edge. This is unpleasant and distracting to the point of ruining the momentum of the game. I will check in to see if removed but till then moving to another word game. ✋

Love letter soup... But. A friend told me about this game and said if I got it we would both receive free hints, however that has yet to happen. But aside from that it is very addictive and makes you think.

Game frozen on an ad. Hey guys, very much enjoy the game however recently it has become stuck on an ad for instagram. I watch an ad for a free hint often but when I watch now it is always the same ad which plays and then just hangs at the end with no free hint and no way out other than to close the game and start again. Any helpful advice or remedies appreciated !

Not amused...... The game is not too bad though there are better versions of this genre available. What prickles me is the obvious rort in trying to make you pay for ads to be removed. The ads are annoying, lengthy and frequent. Unfortunately (for the developers) I treat all such apps in the same way. I delete them.........forever. Funnily enough where the ads are streamed at a reasonable and thoughtful way I usually will pay for their removal. But hey, there's a principal here. Yeah? So bye-bye.

Can’t get off the soup of the day screen. The bottom third of the screen is now black during a game and this part of the screen doesn’t function when a full screen comes up after playing soup of the day So disappointing given it seems to have coincided with your recent bug fix This is a major BUG and now I can’t play it Please fix it Thanks I love this game and have played it daily for a few years on my iPad to the point where I have run out of cafes and have accrued nearly 200 hints just through soup of the day But I have recently changed to an I phone And I am resigned to having to start all over again but now the “Done” button is frozen and I can’t exit the screen to keep playing I have restarted the phone which let me return to the game but it freezes every time I have achieved the number of words and want to keep playing It doesn’t freeze the share your result or play again buttons though Can you help

Two things...after the latest update, the ad bar at the bottom overlaps the playing surface (and that is both distracting and highly annoying) AND your support links are broken so it is impossible to tell you about this. Your daily puzzle is one of my favourite things and now it is not fun at all so please fix this soon.

This game is one that I came across while playing other word games and I love the challenges presented by trying to find every word contained within the letters displayed. Not free. This word game is only free if you want to watch a full 30 or 60 second ad every few games. You can either remove the ads for $1.99 or you're stuck with em. And you can't hit the x and get outa the ad; it just keeps going. The hints are TOO PRICEY. I deleted game. Not worth it. I hate being held hostage by ads!

Letter Soup. I am so glad a friend asked me to join Letter Soup!! I love the progression of difficulty, I love that there’s a dictionary to define words I just happen upon grouping letter... this increases your vocabulary. Plus on the weekends the grandkids enjoy passing it a round and taking a turn at it!! Letter Soup makes learning fun, even as an adult, you are never to old to learn!!

Addicted now. At the start of my game experience, I was a bit frustrated with a lack of hints. However, the developers have added many 3 hint bonuses and more opportunities for hints. I have now amassed a high number! This game, for me, is challenging and requires brain work- which is exactly what I’m looking for in a word game. It is one of the more challenging games I play and I enjoy it very much!!

Annoying ads. You eventually get to a point of needing at least a hint per puzzle, then are subjected to some of the most annoying in-game ads. You have to both click through the ads and it takes control of your volume, blasting it at max. Ads have made this game completely unenjoyable and have become unavoidable. Forcing players to buy in-game currency by making it too annoying not do so is a great way to lose potential players. I got the app simply to test the game and SEE if I’d would be interested in playing more long term and/or buying hints. Nope.

Fun but…. Game is fun but a few too many ads. Finally had to remove it because a lot of the ads had no way out. So to get a free hint you have to watch an ad. When you can’t exit the ad and you swipe it away you have to watch another ad and that ad also has no exit and on and on til you finally give up - which I did.

New update is not enjoyable. I do not like the new update. The music does not change when I go into the soup of the day and I like the change. Also I have noticed that the spin button is in the middle of the bowl instead of to the side and it is frustrating when I accidentally hit it especially when I am in the middle of something with the certain order of the letters. Finally the new layout is just not pretty and I miss the old simple one. Overall I do not enjoy the new changes.

Addictive!. I really, really enjoy this game! You can play it until your brain is tired or for just a few minutes waiting in line at the grocery store. Don’t forget to use the “Stir”option! It’s a big help to move the letters around! Also, the ads are a pain but if you buy even the smallest quantity of hints the ads are gone for good.

Frozen Letter Soup. I love this game and have been playing it for over three years! However, over the last six months whether I’m playing the daily speed round or just the regular game, the app keeps freezing on my iPad. I haven’t seen any updates lately, either, so don’t know what is going on with the Letter Soup app. It’s extremely frustrating when playing the daily timed game.

Letter soup. This game is really enjoyable. Sometimes you get stumped by a simple and easy word you are just not expecting. It forces you to really think, and it does feel good when you conquer each of the puzzles. The “help” aspect is really good because every once in a while you really get stymied and need help to get unstuck. Definitely challenging!

Like the game but........ I like this game but last week I purchased a hint pack fo $2.99 but it charged me for 2. This was the second time it happened and Apple only refunded me for the first time. So I dealt with loosing the 2.99. Yesterday I made this purchase again but this time I was charged for 3 of them. I haven’t notified Apple yet but I’m sure it will be the same. Why would I purchase 3 hint packs in one day?Worst part is that I only received one pack of hints! I will play until I’m out of hints and then delete the game

Ads glitching, having to reset phone, not giving rewards. Way more often than not this game has become frustrating because each time an ad is played to get rewarded with a hint the ad stops. It doesn’t give the reward and it requires a reset of the phone in order to play the game again, minus the reward. Also if you dare watch another ad more often than not it’s a repeat of the same bad situation. I have already submitted this problem. Love this game…but this really needs to get fixed!

Overall ok. Its an ok game, but some of the words they use are strange and some of the common words are not used. I don’t like that you can’t pick what word you want a hint on it. There are other peeves that I encounter while playing that are what give it a lower score. The dictionary is a nice feature but it only tells you the meaning of the last word you cant go back to any others.

Free hints.. Most of the time, if free hint shows up, it does not go to a video or ad, just closes the game. I originally thought they were expired but now new ones show up while I am playing and do the same thing. Sometimes I get the ad and the hint but not often. Playing on an iPad. Otherwise, I love the game.

I paid for additional hints numerous times and have not been receiving them or any response to my email & daily bonus doesn’t give any, I guess w anything else these days, it’s just another disappointment.

More levels please. This game is AMAZING!! It’s my absolute favorite game, but..... I’ve beaten the whole game about 5 or 6 times!!! And because I enjoy playing this game and I have yet to find another game as good as this one... I delete it and start over again. Great word game!. I enjoy the way the game gets me thinking about the different ways letters can be put together to form words. I can work through all the words made by some of the sets of letters in a few minutes, while others require the use of hints and more time. It can be addictive, so be careful!

Best Addiction. This is a fantastic way to keep your brain ticking and increase vocabulary. I love it. You can remove the ads for a small fee, or volunteer to watch a short ad to get a bonus hint. As you progress, there are other in-app purchases for extra hints and they have several options. Great way to challenge your brain.

Worth trying. I've been playing for some time & usually enjoy the game. The ads are predictable & a bit shorter than some other games. A few words are omitted, but you just deal with it & keep searching for the words that are included. A challenge worth trying.

Great game!. Love solving the daily soup every day and the other puzzles! I get the rest of the family involved when I need help and we all enjoy figuring out the words. We have also learned new ones, and many not derived from English we would have never learned otherwise!

Suggestion. Love this game & I play it everyday! Was wondering if in the “View Yesterday’s Solution” window you could also include the average player score for “yesterday’s” puzzle (in addition to the solution)? Just a suggestion that I think would be fun to see! Thank you!

Letter Soup. There seems to be a glitch. I’ve noticed for weeks now there’s no reward for watching most of the ads. I hope you look into it. Thanks Weeks later and still the same problem. You offer a hint if we watch an advertisement. You can’t imagine how many hints you owe me. It works about 40% of the time.

Fun and challeging. I've been playing this for quite a while and still find it fun to play. Great for passing time at home or waiting somewhere. I like how you can stir the letters to try to make out words. Words get more challenging as you go up levels in restaurant. Would recommend for those who like word games.

Letter Soup! Tasty little brain game!. For the most part, I find myself playing one of only two games on my phone. Letter Soup is one of them! Surprising how even simple - particularly the simple - words just seem to evade the mind! I still won’t buy hints...but I’ve sure used some that I have been given here and ther by watching an add or two!

Didn’t get hints, and update. My friend invited me to play letter soup and if I joined we would both receive $3.99 of in-game credit. Neither of us received anything. I’m not sure that I will keep playing this game if the game keeps cheating people out of what they earned. I am happy to tell you the developers contacted me and we sorted out the issue. I am very pleased with the customer service.

Hints not awarded. Love this game and have played it for a very long time. Lately when offered a hint, and it is an ad for Instagram, once it plays through the screen freezes and you don’t get awarded the hint. It happens every time. Very frustrating!

Fun Soup. Really like playing “LetterSoup”. It doesn’t have trick words or so many words without enough slots to succeed, especially on the soup of the day. Timed games are challenging, so I like Soup oh the Day best. Also, it doesn’t seem as if the games are constantly being replayed.

So lame. Update: They have "partnered" with the Merriam-Webster dictionary. Now wouldn't you think that every word in the dictionary would become available? Well you'd be wrong. The list of every day yet still missing words is still endless. Inexcusable for a word game. .......... As almost every review has said, it's a fun game that keeps you playing, but it's so poorly executed that you have to wonder what homework they did before releasing it. The list of missing actual words is endless, as is the list of invented words that you'll get stuck on. But here's the thing that makes this seem intentional: you buy 'hints' to uncover these ridiculous inventions that you would never get on your own regardless of the depth of your vocabulary. Meanwhile, you wonder why a fairly common word isn't showing up. It's a huge waste of money.

Ads causing issues. Some of the ads either ignore the fact I have my phone on silent or somehow get stuck in the background sucking data endlessly. Occasionally these ads will cause my phone to heat up and drain my battery very rapidly even after just minutes of use. I understand an app requiring ads to stay free but there is something funky about the way these ads behave. I don't enjoy randomly being sent to a sketchy looking website or being told I'm about to make a $1.99 purchase while watching an add for a "free hint". I felt like I was battling ads as much as I was trying to play the app.

Good game, could be better. This is a good game, but it’s missing something to make it more challenging. There’s no penalty, nothing to challenge you. It would be better if the levels had a countdown timer (or even a timer to challenge you to beat your speed each time.) I like the daily challenge, but I think the levels should be harder. Or have an option to make them harder.

Good Brain Exercise. I don’t exercise my body often because I can’t get away from Letter Soup. I am so busy exercising my brain and stretching my memory I forget to go to the gym. I love this game. When I get stuck I close the game. Then I keep whirling the letters in my head until I have a lightbulb moment and know the mtsyery word. I return to the game and win that level. Love this game. The one that keeps on giving. Love this game.

Harder as you progress. Been playing for a long time as you progress and cafés it gets a little harder after I don’t know how long maybe months to a year we’re fixing to open her first 7 letter cafe We will start tomorrow with only 4 cafes to go.

Fun and a bit challenging. This is a fun board game and you will be surprised how challenging it is to look at the letters in the circle instead of a row. Once I have one long word spelled out I will refer to that for new words rather than looking at the bowl of soup. I would gladly pay $2.99 for if you were as in more hands, but it never seems to work when I tried to make the purchase.

Watch how much you spend!. Just a note of caution, it is so addictive that you keep playing until you need to buy more hints. I found myself spending $50/week & didn’t even realize the cost. The dictionary function does not show pronunciation and contains spelling errors. I stopped playing for a while to try to break the habit, but I missed it & started again.

Game issues. I keep seeing the option to refer a friend to play the game, So I tried, however the game did not load on the bonus hints. I have had two separate friends try to play the game through the link I've sent them, and both times I did not receive them. Is there a step I'm missing? There are no instructions or information about this. I tried to contact the feed back center as well.

Not Able to Close Ads. I love the game itself and have been playing it a very long time (up to Khan’s Mongolian level). Lately a large percentage of ads do not have a way to close them when they are done. The only solution is to completely close out the app and restart it, which is very annoying. Hard to enjoy a game when you are annoyed! Hopefully they solve this issue.

Keeping Sharp in Retirement. I love this game in so many ways! I retired last year and want to exercise my brain to stay sharp as long as possible. I love starting a new puzzle and finding a flurry of words. Then I switch to finding patterns in the puzzle to give me clues to find other words. I challenge myself to use as few Hints as possible and I never get bored! Also love the wallpaper and soup theme.

Great game. Luv it but for cpl of things. The scoring doesn't seem right. Only gives 1 or 2 pts for each level. Seems like it should be more. Also what happened to earning hints by watching ads? Should be able to earn them. I rarely use because can't earn them except for one hint with each cafe level. Doesn't seem right.

Game ok, ads are rough. I get it now. From the developer response I got, I now know that they have no incentive to fix the hint-for-ad system. They want people to pay to remove ads. Don’t bother watching any instagram ads, and most other. No hints are rewarded anymore. After watching minute+ long ads, hang. Maybe it’s time for an app update. Game play is entertaining. Interface is smooth, plays well. Deducting one point for the slang words being used consistently over real words. Deduct another point for the 5% battery hit for EACH ad watched. For a non-action game, brutal on battery life.

Goodbye Hints 😢. The hints aren’t working. I can watch an ad and still not get a hint credit - that’s a new issue as if today. The hints we can earn by solving green words hasn’t been working at all. This has caused my large bank of hints to dwindle lower than my checking account..and that’s just pathetic. Please fix. It’s my favorite meeting distraction and I spend 80% of my day in meetings!!! Will be five stars once this issue is resolved. B

My time with letter soup. I have, over about a year, relaxed with letter soup. I enjoy the challenge, the help I get with mental acuity, the word definitions, and also the latest language exclamations since I am a native French speaker. To my joy, I have found no spelling mistakes as I’m a bit of a stickler for that sort of thing. All and all, I spend an hour unwinding with it every day. Lastly, I truly enjoy the various good quality music loops at each café. This app is a hit in my house!

Lots of fun.. But your battery will die. Game is tons of fun. Well put together. Pretty expensive options to get rid of ads. But wow this thing drains battery life nothing else. 3 hours screen time brought both iPhone 7 internal battery plus backup battery case with 2x down to zero. Hopefully something can be found since I may be addicted.

Cheated out of hints on letter soup. Love the game ! Good for whole family ; but don’t understand why about month ago you started cheating us out of the “free hints”, when we watch an ad. Any fashion ad just fades and becomes fuzzy and you can’t go or do anything with it Sure we can’t be the only ones complaining of this. Frustrating for seniors and our young ones. Needs work please.

I love this game, BUT. ...the technical glitches drive me nuts. Ok. It’s great that you let me watch ads in exchange for free hints. BUT 90% of the time when you go to the ad, the timer quits running and you just have to log out of the game and come back later because you can’t go forward and you can’t back out of it. The timer quits running and you’re stuck. If I have to put up with this much longer, I’m deleting the game...

Great game. I have enjoyed playing this game for years and play every morning. Last week it stopped giving the opportunity to watch an ad and get a hint. This has made the game frustrating when it lets you tap and think you have an opportunity to get a hint but nothing happens. I hope you change the hint function back on or provide some other way to work through games to maintain interest. Charlie

Buying Hints. WHY is it that everytime I play this game & want to buy hints, I have to verify my card for payment? This just started recently after I got a new card from my bank. I put the info in at the appropriate place for taking payments but this is the ONLY game I have to consistently re-enter the info each time. I will delete the game next time cause I'm sick of doing it for one game. Glenda Cook

Love the game, but...... The game itself is pretty good (occasionally some random words that are not known unless you ARE a dictionary), but overall it is my go-to game. My main peeve right now is the 1 of 3 ads freeze up on both the I phone and I pad. Frustrating. I’m willing to sit through the ads, which are long enough, but when they freeze, which happens frequently, it frustrates me to the point of writing a somewhat negative review. Please fix this.

Many Words Not Accepted. Words come easy to me and I have played many word games over my 80 years. This game has so many words I have never heard. Some sound like another language, but more than that, way too many legitimate words in the English language are not recognized. Still love the game and play everyday.
