My favorite hue app. This is by far my most favorite Hue app. It is super reliable and has all the features I need. I love the improved Geofencing feature. And the lava lamp is so cool! The dev has done a superb job helping me with a connection problem I was having too. A+++! Would buy again!

Worst app for hue lights. This app always force closes. It doesn't save scenes, you had to keep it open in order to use the LavaLamp feature. It doesn't change on time with the music. Very difficult to use and is not user friendly. The UI is all over the place. Presets in here you can't delete, when you make your own they don't save correctly. Save your money and get the free app. I'd rather buy gum.

Shockingly bad!. I’ve bought more than a dozen Hue apps over the years. Some were horrible at the start. This app takes a while for a user to despise it. But once it happens, it will almost affect all other apps in how you view your iPhone. Yuck. Yuck. More Yuck.

Spent $1 on an app that doesn’t work. This app needs to be updated and hasn’t been updated in a whole year. Don’t buy this app

Presets vanish randomly. I spent a lot of time making a preset only to find it has vanished the next day. That makes this app completely worthless. Do not buy.

Hue pro rip-off. I brought this app and the crap never found my bridges. Downloaded a free app and the bridges showed up immediately.

Leaves a lot to be desired. While great in theory, this app falls well short of its intentions. I’ve had Hue lights since their arrival in 2012 or thereabouts. The first generation bulbs were 600 lumens, and while the novelty of color changing bulbs was good in theory, their colors were lacking in depth and intensity, which is surprising given the color palettes of other led bulbs. Gen2 bulbs were rated at 800 lumens, but lacked color. Gen3 finally got the color palette right (or a lot better than gen1) Also improved is the bridge, which is now comparable with Alexa and Siri. Drinking the Hue Koolaid, I bought the newest bridge, and that’s when the problems began.... This app wouldn’t read my Gen1 bulbs (I’m slowly replacing them with Gen3, but with 50 bulbs in the house, and a third being Gen1, this will cost a bit!) There isn’t a way to manually enter serial numbers with Hue Pro, so you may have to use another Hue app to get your bridge and bulbs to “friend” each other. However, I just purchased 6 Hie down lights, and the app had no problem reading them. Several issues with this app: bulbs can be slow to respond to preset color changes (or not change at all). So say you hit “Laila”, not all bulbs will change to the colors in that preset. (Laila is one a few presets when you download the Hue Pro app. It is easily deleted, as well as all the others). I have an app that makes all bulbs red, and one that makes all bulbs blue. (I left the energize and concentrate presets that came with the app, as they were nice and I was too lazy to edit the names). When I go from energize to Blue Sea ((my preset for all blue), some lights stay in the energize color. Often I will have to tap Blue Sea several times to get all 50 lights to be one color. When I hit “All Off”, not all bulbs turn off. Again, repeated taps of the all off button will usually do the trick. When in any of the preset modes, if I want to dim all the lights at the same time to the same brightness (there is a slide bar at the bottom of the screen), the app crashes and I have to reload it. And on the occasional chance it does not crash, not all lights will dim. I have a number of groups within the house. When I go to turn on and off a group, not all lights respond to this command, even though they are listed in that particular group. Annoying, as I then have to go into the bulb section and manually control the bulbs that didn’t respond. What then is the point of groups if they aren’t controllable as one? When I first initialize the app, often I have to manually connect to my bridge. While not a problem, it’s annoying given that the app had “Pro” in its name and cost a buck to install. Maybe my bridge is low on memory, so given that I am at the limit of bulbs (I read it can go to 63 bulbs, but haven’t tried that) and I have a lot of custom presets, perhaps this app is at its limit. But I can think of worse things to spend a dollar on, so it was worth it. However, considering I have 2k invested in lighting, id spend a lot on a truly awesome app that does what it says.

Doesn't connect. I used to use this app on an Android phine to program my lights. Now I've switched to a new phone and can't for the life of me get this app to connect to my Hue lights. All other apps I've tried work fine. Very frustrating.

Simple Yet Powerful. There are surprisingly few good apps for controlling Phillips Hue lights. This is the only one I could find that allows you to set a bulb's color according to a Kelvin value. It is also great for setting scenes. The today view widget is terrible so I use Huemote for that.

Stupid app. When I try to connect it to my hue bridge it doesn’t work

Best hue app in the app store!. I have had my hue lights for just over two years and have tried dozens of hue apps in hopes I’d find one that had everything I was looking for in one. There were several that had pieces of great functionality but none that had it all. I came across this app being advertised for other platforms and couldn’t wait until it came to iPhone! Pumped it’s finally here! Hue Pro is both user friendly and feature packed! It combines all the popular features you need to satisfy your hue craving! The in-app purchase is a fun add-on as well to give your lights some neat alternate control options.

Doesn’t sync with Hue bridge. Opened the app and can not sync with hue bridge. Pretty much useless.

Don't waste your money. This is an awful app, wish I could give it no stars, it's constantly force closing on me when I try setting up any kind of scene. I paid extra for the lava lamp option (literally the only reason I got the app) and it starts then freezes, when I try to fix it, the app force closes on me, and so goes the cycle until I get frustrated and give up. Please don't waste your money!

Pay double what Android users get free.. My roommate downloaded the Android version of this and I liked it so I bought it. But wait - the core Lavalamp feature that is free on Android costs more. Yes core functionality required more money. This app is only marginally better than the free Hue app. Skip it.

Bad app. This app I paid for won’t even find my bridge vi want a refund

Best hue app easy to use. Best hue app for the money. For an extra 99 cents you can even access lava lamp mode which makes the lights change color to the bass or treble of the song you are playing through the aux cord. However iOS doesn't allow Bluetooth music to play music when lava lamp mode is enabled.

THIS APP IS A SCAM!!!. I bought this app for the lava lamp mode and it barely works, it’s bad and inconsistent. WASTE OF TIME AND SCAM!!!

Almost works, but not really. Two major problems: I have notified the programmer, but have not received a response and after a few weeks no updates. 1) Schedules - using either presets the programmer created or ones you create is frustrating. The lights turn on as scheduled except the colors will be noticeably off, as will the brightness. The app will say the preset was used, but the app screen even shows each bulb color is different from the preset. Tap your preset and the correct color and brightness are restored. Example: I created a Christmas preset of green and red for the 8 outdoor lights. When they came on, red was more purple and green was faded or whiteish. Tap my preset and they change to their appropriate, rich colors and brightness. This also happens with Hue Pro’s own preprogrammed presets. 2) Schedules work until a Geofence is tripped, then all scheduled “on” times are deleted. Example: My lights turn on daily at 5:30 pm and off at 10:00 pm. The Geofence is active from 10:01 pm to 5:00 am. The lights come on as scheduled, but once my wife comes home after 10:01 pm, the Geofence activates the lights as they should, but I will now have to reschedule the lights to turn on daily because the Geofence event deleted the “on” times from the schedule. Geofence also turns the presets on incorrectly as described in the first complaint.

Can’t connect to bridge. Open the app paid version says zero bridge found blank screen no way to get to a settings page just a spinning wheel with no options to exit unless you force close the app.. garbage app

Seriously?. Downloaded for the color cycle lava lamp feature. Really cool until you minimize the app and it stops cycling. Then it crashes. Waste of $2!!!!!

Used to work, now it doesn’t. There is some sort of issue that prevents the app from finding the bridge. It wasn’t very user friendly, even when it did work. Sadly, I have to purchase a new app to hopefully perform the features that this app was supposed to.

Garbage. The app makes no distinction between my white lights and colored lights. In addition, the app is written so poorly, that if you try to toggle any bulbs, the screen pulls you into the next page.

This app is trash.. Friend of mine had the app on android- worked well, especially this mood lava lamp mode. Bought the app, and figured out lava lamp was an additional charge on top of the app. Annoying sure, but ok. The. I got it, got a lava lamp configured, awesome- 4 stars at this point. Then I locked my phone. When you lock your phone, the lava lamp function ceases to work. Yeah that’s right, if you go to another app or lock your phone, it ceases to function. So annoying.

Meh. I got this app for my Hue bulbs. And then I got the in-app purchase for the lava lamp. It’s actually really cool. I like the way the lava lamp works. However, when I close my screen or minimize the app the effect stops. Seriously? I paid for an effect that I have to leave my phone open and drain the battery? This has to be something you all can fix easily. If not, I doubt I’ll use anymore of your apps. This is a simple thing that should have been thought about ahead of time.

Terrible App. I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this garbage. It constantly closes I’ve been trying for an hour to program the widgets with no luck. Don’t waste your money.

Frustrated. I used to love this app but I’m not quite sure if the updates did something to app because it doesn’t work. It keeps trying to find the bridge over and over again and will not connect. I’ve done all the troubleshooting I possibly can but still no luck. All the other hue apps work just fine. So disappointed.

Terrible & out of date. Can’t connect to bridge at all...no options other than to delete. This used to work when the developers actually cared about the quality of this product, looks like they moved on to better projects?

It can’t find the bridge. I’ve tried everything and this stupid app can’t find the bridge. On my Android phone it found the bridge most of the time, though it was pretty annoying when sometimes it couldn’t. They need to hire a decent network programmer. I not only wasted 99 cents but also a good half hour.

Not worth downloading. This app was recommended to me so I can cycle between colors automatically or for lava lamp mode. I was so excited and then I started using it. It won’t even find my bridge or let me manually enter it. And it isn’t even well built. Not happy. Come out with an update faster!!

App is WORTHLESS. Update for my review below! Contacted their technical support TWICE and absolutely no response. Typical take the money and run. Get the app and no support. I just bought a new iPad Pro 9.7 and also the new Hue Bridge 2.0 Tried setting up Hue Pro which I had on my old iPad2 and it won't sync. Searches for the bridge, locates it and click on it to sync and it says unauthorized hit the button on the bridge to sync, which I have done and get nothing but the same message. Deleted and reinstalled the app with no success. Much prefer to use this app, but unless someone can help, I'll delete it. Other Hue apps sync fine. If I could give it ZERO stars I would!

Saving Settings. I have an iPhone 8 and an 11 Pro that will not save ANY settings after app restart. It is a fatal flaw and makes the app absolutely unusable. Very upset that I’ve spent $2 on an app that’s core functionality doesn’t work.

Horrible. Bought the app, cool what else is there? Oh lava lamp effect, 0.99c might as well get it. Oh sweet it changes color ill keep it on then, *goes to text people and notices it doenst change color anymore* (you have to be in the app for it to change colors)

Don’t do it. The app won’t even find the bridge, or accept a manual entry. Wish I still had that 99 cents.

Best control plane for Hue. Switched to iPhone, so very excited to see that Hue Pro is available on both platforms. Hands down best app for consistent house-wide moods.

Can’t find my hub. And none of the troubleshooting works. Good thing I only wasted $2 on the app but you get what you pay for I guess.

Presets disappear. Decent app, but custom lighting presets don’t survive after the app is closed.
