It’s great for tracking your work outs but when it’s time to “finish” the workout the app crashes 9/10 times I’m canceling my subscription today. Don’t bother with the app
Initially I was upset on how to use this program. I had trouble understanding how to correctly save a workout. I decided to spend some time with the help files and finally got it. This is by far the most effective workout program I have seen and now use. I will give this 5 stars and highly recommend this for tracking excercise. Buy the full program. It is worth the investment.
An app with a subscription should work on all of my devices. Unfortunately, FitBod does not.
Where was this when I started training all those years ago? I love not having the headache of coming up with fresh workouts. I love this app!
Don’t like the fact that I have to open the app and start the workout on the iPhone first instead of directly on the watch. I leave my phone in my locker thats the whole point of the watch so the watch app needs to improve a lot for me to give it 5 stars. Other than that and only on the phone it is awesome. Will buy subscription when the watch app it’s fixed for sure.
This app is amazing. You can customize the equipment available to provide you the best exercises with that equipment. It gives you detailed instructions and real life animations to assist in exercises you’ve never heard of. But it will sneak up on you quick with these exercises. It gives you the weight it thinks you need for your body composition and to me I felt this was to low at first until the next morning when I realized these low weights do the job. You can change the weight to a higher weight if you desire but beware it will catch up to you. This is the best personal trainer I have paid for. Support is super responsive and helpful as well. I started my account with the wrong email and they assisted me to move my data over and remove the wrong account with no hiccups.
I love this app compared to others but it constantly glitches or freezes or doesn’t save my workouts.

I love this app because I enjoy working out but get overwhelmed about what workout to do. This app solves that for me, doing all the hard work so that I can complete my workout efficiently and enjoy the process.

Such a great app, highly recommended! You can select equipment you have at home or the gym and can easily replace exercises with others in same muscle group. Sets up a new work out based on equipment you have.
I have encountered a lot of issues at first, but when I sent an email to the support team, they were very accommodating and resolved the issues promptly. With a proactive team working behind this app, my annual subscription may well bring more value in the future. Bumpy start, but it gets good with every update.
Probably the most unstable app I have ever used. I purchased it as it was recommended as an app that worked with the Apple Watch and would allow me not to keep my phone with me in the gym. Unfortunately the app seems to rely on regular connectivity to the phone or it can’t remember what weight you last used and constantly crashes if you try to input a weight, or if you want to increase your weight e.g you have improved and want to increase weight mid set. The other annoying issue is if the app crashes you need to go back to your gym locker, open your phone and wait for it to reconnect to resume. Better to stick with the free or cheaper apps that don’t support the watch and keep your phone close by. I wouldn’t bother with a purchase as it is overpriced for the quality.
Constant freezing and glitching.
Overall an excellent, easy to use app. On the positive side this is a superb app if you want to just get to the gym and workout. No need to plan, no need to think about what to do. Just a turn up to the gym, start the app, follow the plan and leave. Workouts are tailored to your freshest muscle groups and you can easily track your progress. The app has helped me develop a habit of going to the gym. The most annoying thing about this app is the erroneous weights it suggests. Perhaps the developers have never been to a gym outside of the USA, if they had they’d know that you never see 16kg or 18kg dumbbells, they are always 15, 17.5, 20, etc. Same with cable machines, the suggested weights don’t match standard metric gym equipment. It’s no big effort to select a different weight then manually change the weight in the app but it is slightly annoying in an otherwise seamless app. Why not just have the weights standardised to real world gym equipment? Lastly this app is expensive. At AU$90 per year it is something I would use for a year to develop a habit and routine but probably not keep paying for every year. A one off $90 fee and more modest subscription cost would seem more appropriate for the content.
I love this app, I always use at the gym. I think you should add boxing in the cardio e maybe nutrition mode.

I was a little cautious about paying for the app but I’m glad I did. Really enjoyed the trial and decided to commit and purchase the app for the year. Love that it links with Apple Health. Easy to track workouts and weight progression. I also really like the fact you can select which weight equipment you have available for use.

I’ve taught fitness classes for more than a decade. This app is excellent at predicting the weight you should lift and also putting together your next workout based on the muscle recovery of previous workouts. The only thing lacking to make it 6 stars is the omission of Floor Wipers...which I contacted the developer about and hopefully will be added soon :-)
Have gotten to the gym more and diversified the lifts I feel comfortable doing with this app. Reminders are useful and not overbearing. Easily worth the payment for the app as someone with a fairly decent apartment gym that I don’t also have to pay for. There are so many things that make the app user friendly. I love the gym customization options. Allows me to only receive work outs I can actually do with the equipment I have. I love that I could download the gifs that show how to do certain exercises so I don’t wait for them to load.
I have been searching for an app that would be able to just tell me what to do when I arrived at the gym. FitBod goes one more step by optimizing based on your logged performance. It’s incredibly helpful for someone like me who hasn’t really had much training and someone who’s kind of scared to venture to different machines on the floor.
The Apple-Watch-to-iPhone relationship is not engineered well. Performs badly (freezes, desyncs data, etc.), even with restarts and app reinstalls. Only fix = deleting the watchOS app from my Apple Watch. Then it works great. Good app, but if you are getting it for the Apple Watch… better to try something else.
This app is so simple to use. You have the option to allow it to put together your workouts or you can create your own. With so many workout apps on the market, it’s hard to find one where you can make your own routines rather than settling on pre set ones. I have a Marcy home gym and I wanted something I could design my weekly workouts and use that for my routines. This app supplied exactly everything I needed to so that. Tutorial videos are a bonus, visual representation of muscle groups worked is much approximately and syncing with HealthKit is A+. Thanks for a great app.
I have gone through many apps trying to find exactly what this app offers. My work has a gym available to me, but no one to help explain to me how the machines work. I just got discouraged after many months of research and workout plan building. Thanks to what is offered with this app I’ve been able to complete 3 weeks of pretty extensive workouts and I feel great. I would say the only suggestion I have for the developers, is that the workouts would be better if it learned what your preferences are, or if it would be a little easier to add workouts to the “exclude” section. I have an ankle injury that prevents me from doing certain workouts that I have to keep replacing with similar workouts.
I would like to see more kettlebell and steel mace workouts. I would consider paying for the app again...

Personally would like more exercises that I can perform with my landmine & double landmine equipment, apart from that I’m finding it very good
I love using it, but it does have shortfalls like fractional weights being lost between work outs (6.5 is always 6 next time), instructions for bench optional exercises only giving with-bench instructions, but by and large a very good app. Just needs some tweaking of work outs and you’re set to go each time.
Love this app. Been going to the gym for years and every time had to plan my workouts, reps and weights. No more. This does it all, love how it tracks muscle recovery and the many custom options to select available equipment. Super good value for the price and you forget about personal coaches...
