Kind of pointless. First of all I was expecting so much from this app specially because there is 4 stars and plus you have to pay for it. they didn't even have the type of breed that my dog is. they called it a German Shepherd but is actually a Belgium malinois, and the options for the questionnaire are really limited. The only questions they ask is the type of tail,length of hair the size of face and the color of the hair pretty much that is it. I know for sure my Labrador is a full Labrador and they were actually calling multiple different dogs which was border collie . Not worth the money save it for another useful app, because this one is just garbage.

It's cool for fun. It's was cool just to have for fun but wouldn't pay for it, I guess it's cool just to have. The pictures are nice tho and good layout. I guess they gotta make money some how though. All in all 5/10

It got it correct. My dog is a corgi I took the survey and it said it was of corgi it was correct it is good if you want to figure out what type of dog you have I recommend this app

Awesome App!!. Not wanting to get a DNA test for our new shelter rescue (we've spent enough money on him already), I decided to try this app after being disappointed by a different one. Very accurate and exactly what the shelter told us they thought he was. Loved it!! #DexterKane

Meh. I got this app for fun, to see what it said about my three dogs. The questions are broad, so detail and precision are not the skillsets here. The answers boiled my dogs down to 3 different breed mixes, none of which included the parts of my dogs that I KNOW are in there (pointer, pitbull, yorkie.) So, is this a fun app? Maybe. Worth .99? Probably. But accurate or useful? No.

Was not worth the money. I put in a lot of dogs that I knew what they were and it was totally off & it always makes every mix breed a mix of 3 breeds , not 1 or 2 always 3

Amazing!!!. I purchased this app just a couple of days ago and already the results for what's my mutt are outstanding! I also had some friends that tried it and their results seemed very precise as well! So glad they finally came out with an app like this. I am a veternarian technician and I get asked this question so many times at work. Now I have an app that I can tell them about that actually works!

Cute Idea but.... Didn't ask enough questions or have enough options for the questions it did ask like with color/pattern. My mutt is dark chocolate brown with very a hard to see brindle pattern in his very silky, short coat and he has a single white spot on his chest so obviously none of those options fit him. The results were Lab, Pointer or Weimaraner... No crap you can tell by looking at him he's part lab but it's the mix that harder to tell.

Waste of time and money. My dog is wire haired mutt and it came out a basic lab. Not even close. Doesn’t even have a photo upload option. Just basic questions.

Perfection!. This app is amazing. My brother found two dogs at his work place. We had no idea what kind they were. A friend told me about this app and we tried it. It is so easy to use. By just answering a few easy questions about their features, we immediately knew what breeds these dogs were made of. The science behind this app is genius. Every dog lover should have this app. It is so handy.

Fun. Simple. Affordable.. What a great app! We have 2 mixed breed dogs that we have always wondered what they might be. We looked into the DNA testing but its expensive and further research suggested that they aren’t 100% accurate. When my friend told me about What’s My Mutt we immediately downloaded the app. Its simple and easy to use and its fun too! If you have a mixed breed dog then you need this app!

This app stank. Can't even accurately guess a full bred chihuahua. 🙄

Just for fun. I would only use this app for fun, it doesn't seem to be very accurate at all, and it really should be free for no more than it does.

It's ok. I have a Norwich Sealyham terrier mix so I wanted to test this app. I know I put in the info very accurately and neither the Sealyham or Norwich terrier was on the list of breeds. It said it was a cross between chihuahua and a couple other breeds that were way off. I even tried it for the sister and different breeds came up for that one. However it is accurate for more common breeds such as lab and retriever.

Great app!. This is a great app that is easy to use. A great way to figure out what kind of dog your mutt may be. Definitely much cheaper and more fun than a DNA test. We used it to try and figure out our farm mutt. Was cool to see the possibilities of it's mix. Some of them were what we had been thinking!

Nice try!. This app is just using guesswork. I suppose there is not much more could be expected but if you really want to know what breeds your mutt is made up from get the DNA kit from. The breeds this came up with for my dog did not seem accurate at all!

Awesome, fun, and accurate. Awesome app! It's short and fun and nailed the three breeds we thought our mutt always was. Half the fun is plugging in different attributes and seeing what you get. For 99 cents, it's great fun just to try out on random dogs and mutts around the neighborhood... Also, way more intuitive and nicely designed compared to other apps in this genre.

Fun app. I work at a doggy day care center so I like to do this on some of the dogs. It’s easy to use and a very simple layout. Seems pretty accurate to me and even if it’s not it’s pretty close. Would recommend to anyone who is curious about breeds!

Neat App. I love the app. It really is fun to use. I did it for my dog and my dads dog. If you are accurate with the answers you will get a pretty good idea of what your dog is. I also love making up different versions of a dog. I would like to see a version where you can send a pic of your dog and let the app decide for you.

Not as helpful as expected. My girl was a rescue originally from Little Rock, Ark so I was very hopeful this would help determine her mixed breed. The outcome could not have been correct. I looked up the mix they suspected and none of the photos look like my little girl. It would be nice to know her true mix to help in knowing her personality and demeanor. She has been awesome, but I can’t wonder if it would be helpful to know her dominant breed to help in understanding her better and giving me more insight on her needs.

Cool!. I do like this app! But I do think you should add a personality test! It sometimes depends on the dog personality rather than the dogs looks. Overall I think it’s mostly accurate, and it’s fun to play around with!

Not enough options. My dog is a mutt that I got from the side of the road as a puppy. She’s obviously part lab and probably also some other type of hunting dog (given that this is rural SC). I don’t even think this app has a variety of dogs in its system. It gave me lab with German Shepherd and a spaniel. This isn’t realistic. Maybe if they added more types of dog possibilities and more personality questions it would be a good app, but rn it just doesn’t work.

Great!. I think this app is a great idea! I work at an animal shelter and this will be helpful in identifying dog's breed for future adopters. I used it on my own dogs and it was pretty accurate. I would like to see more details be added though. I think more research could be done to create descriptions for things like personality or eye color. I wish I had been part of the team that created this 😉

Great app!!. I have 2 dogs. Sisters. They look similar, but have completely different hair color (one is brindle) and their muzzles are not quite the same. Litter Mates can have different fathers (I learned this when I became a foster parent for dogs). Both results had 2 of the same breed and the third breed was different for each. The third seems accurate in each case.

Love!. Love finding more out about what my mutt could be! He still fit between some of the categories but the answers I got all sound right! Would recommend to anyone whose wondering!

Good app for some breeds. I have a chihuahua mix and this app told me what the "mix" part is likely to be. He's a rescue so I didn't know. I think the app got it right -- part dachshund and part Jack Russell terrier in addition to chi. I think people are expecting too much from a 99 cent app if they want drawings and elite breeds. Perhaps the software developers can come up with a more detailed version 2.0 for the quibblers.

Accurate and Fun!. As an avid rescuer of mutts, I've often wondered what breed categories my dogs fall into. I've considered going the DNA testing route, however, there are too many questions on accuracy to validate the cost. This is where "What's My Mutt" comes in! It is an easy to use app and verified our dogs to the breeds we felt they represented, with a St Bernard thrown in! Ahhh, that's where his enormous size comes from!!! Love this app and recommend it to all!!! Fun for the whole family, furry babies included!

Not even close!. Their mother was all Boston terrier and their father was all Maltese.

Not worth the money. I have 2 dogs and I know the breeds of one of them and roughly know the breeds of the other. I answered all the questions accurately and my results were completely inaccurate. One of my dogs is a Rottweiler, german shepherd and hound. I know this for certain because I've seen her parents. The what's my mutt app told me she was Labrador retriever, Doberman Pinscher, and Coon hound. It needs to ask more questions or something in order to get accurate results. Very disappointed. Not worth the dollar.

Not great for terrier mixes. No questions about coat type (rough double coat) or attention to terrier characteristics (such as tail or really ears.) my dog is definitely not a mix of the suggested breeds. Has potential but needs many more options

Beautiful app off to great start. My dog is very similar to the one in the online video. Great graphics and type design. Thank you for taking the time with that. Really flesh out more details as others have pointed out and it will be a stellar app! Please provide some details or specs for example under dog height...list dimensions in addition to dog types--so i don't have to google. Also there was a key color pattern missing. Two color with white as main color and large brindle patches. It is pretty certain my dog is part basenji and or pit bull and neither of those came up. I'm guessing basenji isn't in the database. Please add it as it is the more likely reason for my dog's ears than a rat terrier.

PAWsome app , see what I did there?. I love this app. It guessed German shepherd, Labrador, border collie mix for my dog and it was spot on because that's what he is. I got him from a shelter and I volunteer there too so I'm gonna be using this app a lot to figure out the different breeds of dogs!

Zero stars don’t waste your money. My puppy is a lab mix and this tells you nothing. Waste of money. I’m forced to give it one star

Wow, nailed it.. I downloaded this just for fun but colored me impressed. With only 7 questions the results are surprisingly accurate. I like the breakdown of breeds at the end too. Well done!

Insufficient Options. The options available don’t accurately describe my dog who is piebald. It also doesn’t describe her ears that can both droop or come to full attention like a German shepherd. Pretty worthless- save your dollar.

So great for shelters/rescues!. This app is fantastic. I volunteer at an animal shelter a lot so I've tried it on a LOT of dogs. Every once in a while you get results that seem crazy, but if you really think about it they could be right. Most of the time it's obviously spot on. The results are great to share via social media when you promote a dog for adoption. As far as the negative reviews from people who "know" what breeds their mutts are and it told them something else...even if the person you got them from showed you two dogs they claimed to be the parents that doesn't mean they actually are. And if they were mixed dogs themselves, it is possible they were the parents and they have some less obvious breeds in them that really came through in their pups. Overall this is a fun, amazingly accurate app that's really useful for anyone who works to get dogs adopted.

Not enough choices.... Okay, so I know my dog is a husky/lab mix since we got him as a puppy from a person who had an accidental litter. If you google husky/lab mix the images look almost identical to my dog. The results were Great Pyrenees, German shepherd, and another type of dog. Perhaps this would be more correct if there were more choices, especially for the color. Huskies have distinct color patterns and that wasn't even a choice. My dog is white with a golden pattern.

0 stars if I could.. I paid .99 cents to see animals that look nothing like my pup. NOTHING LIKE HIM. First he’s a chihuahua I reset try again now he’s a husky???? Makes no sense. Would not recommend.

Good premise, but... The app is a great idea and overall I'm sure works well for a lot of dogs. However it's not detailed enough in certain areas. The results it came up with for our dog were all completely stupid and in no way are at all related to what our dog could be. Our dog truly is an interesting specimen but every vet we have taken him to has been able to guess what he has right away and they almost always have the same answer. This app just really does not have enough detail to pick out his breed(s).

Fun!. This a simple app that can give you some insight into what your mutt could be mixed with. Don't download this with the expectation that you're going to be told percentages of what breed and more in depth information. It's just a fun app to find information that you may not have even thought of before!

Bad app. Save your money. Tried it on my lab and it couldn’t even get that right. Way off on the dog I was trying to ID. Pretty sure what the mix is but this wasn’t even close.

I LOVE IT!!. I love this app! Not only does help you to figure out what kind of breeds your dog is it is also fun to make your own dog. I have a challenge for you though which is to try and make one for cats. Difficult as they don't have as much differences that dogs do they basically only have different colors, fur length, eyes, ears, and others I am forgetting. 5 stars for me :)

Great Teaching Tool. If you are the parents of a school aged child and a mutt, buy this app. The seven steps will lead your child to really look at your mutt and assess its characteristics….such a great teaching tool. Dumb and doesn't work. Said my 30pound staffy x is a miniature poodle. There is an option in hair "1 colour - blonde" Or "2 colour - brown and white " No blonde and white, dumb app, nothing about measurements just take a guess, shouldn't be a paid app, wanting a refund

Pretty Good for a guess. Once you save the dog entered you can not go back and look at all dogs you have saved. Also, it just has very basic breeds. I have a Great Pyrenees and that breed isn't included. I expected more from an app I paid for :(

A must have for dog lovers!. If you love dogs, this app is for you. I always wondered which breeds made up my mutt Ace and this app helped me find out. It's fun and easy to use. Two thumbs up!

Hit and Miss. Tried it on both my mutts. One may be right but based on his look, it's probably accurate. Knowing what mix my other dog is, I did the test 6 different times and it failed to get the two breeds right in any instance. Wouldn't recommend.

Nice!. I know what my dog is, but I got this to test the accuracy of the CPU, and I have to say, it's spot on! Guessed all 3 parts perfectly!

Fun bit limited. I wasn't really expecting much from a $2 app. It got my minpin/chi mix right and probably my daughter's dachshund mix as well. However, it keeps telling me my other dog is part pug when he's more likely part Italian greyhound. That's pretty far off!

Great app!. We have a rescue pup and always guessed at what her breed was. This app was spot on! It was crazy. Validated exactly what we thought. Very cool.

2 minutes of mild entertainment. Luckily, it was only $1, but I was hoping for a few more choices or steps...maybe actual photos. The list of dog breeds that this draws from is extremely small. It would be fun to take a pic of your dog and have the app analyze it. I'd pay a couple dollars more for any of those things. Im going to uninstall after 2 minutes of using it.

Spot on!. Finally know what my rescue is! And just for fun, I also answered the questions for my pure bred and it was 100% correct.

Great idea, not so accurate. One of my dogs could be close based on her looks. But the other I knew the parents and mom was a pure bred shiba inu and the dad was a shiba inu Pomeranian mix. This came back with a chihuahua, Pomeranian Yorkie mix.

Fun!. Very fun app to use although it's accuracy can be a little better. But it's better than any other app or breed quiz I've taken so far !

Not accurate. Fun app to play with but way off. It said my dog is a lab/Chesapeake bay/English pointer. He has none of those breeds in him and doesn't even look like any of those breeds. And I entered all the info as accurate as possible.

Wanted to love it. I got this app to see what it would classify my two rescues as. They are both obvious terrier mixes - one is definitely a westie/schnauzer mix and the other is some sort of scottie mix. The app said the westie mix was chihuahua, poodle,and cairn terrier. It determined that our other dog is dachshund, chihuahua and border collie. Definitely off for both dogs. Fun concept but disappointed by the inaccuracy of the results.

Fun but not DNA. Definitely a fun way to think about your dog and get some ideas but this is not the same as a DNA test. I'm also not super impressed that they use "Pit Bull" as one of the breed options instead of naming the breeds that make up that invented name, like Staffordshire Terriers or American Bulldogs. For a donation of $0.99, it's a fun little app!

Could be better. My 45 lbs Beagle/Lab did not match any of the options for color pattern and fit into two different weight categories hat yielded different results for the same features. I don't think it allows for the possibility of a mutt to come from both large and small dogs.

Pretty spot on. We were always wondering and guessing what breed our dog was and we're always told, jack Russell, beagle, lab mix and this appt confirms that!

Love my mutt even more!. We always thought she was chihuahua, Jack Russell but didn't think about a Pomeranian. She's our Honey and we love her that much more!!

AMAZING APP. This .99 cent app told us the same thing as the DNA test we spent over $60 on! It is fun and easy to use!!

Too short and not accurate. We know for sure that my dog is part poodle and part Maltese but it determined that she is chihuahua, maltese and bichon. There weren't nearly enough questions. Very simplistic and inaccurate

So Happy This Exists!. This app is so detailed and was spot on! Even tested it on my brother's dog when we already knew the breed mix.

What a deal!. Solved the mystery of my dog Deuce and I didn't have to pay for an expensive DNA test!

Great idea, lousy results. I had been seeing all kinds of Instagram posts about this app & was excited to try it. I have 3 mutts & was lucky enough to meet their mothers. Not 1 of the results from this app even mentions their mother's breeds! App is a great idea, but needs fine tuning & more choices. I'm hopeful they improve it as time goes by.

Dachshund and ?. My new puppy is primarily dachshund (no doubt). I tried several times using different options and it will not pick up her primary breed as a dachshund. (For a good cause though)! 😄

On point!. Definitely worth 99 cents to find out what my precious mutt is. Easy to use and very precise. And I am now certain that my mutt is a corgi, Shelti, dachshund mix!

Better than DNA analysis!. Would like to see the tail options include a long, full (but not feathery) straight tail type. As it stands, none of the tail choices really fit my dog, and I chose the least-unlike type. I honk the result was probably very accurate. Good app!

Awesome. I used the app to narrow down the type of breed I want for my next dog. Helped me take the guess work out the decision.

What I always thought!. Very interesting and the results came back with what I always thought he was.

Fun!. I don't know how accurate it is considering I mentioned my dog being long and got no long dogs as a result. I enjoy the taxonomy of it and it could be great to teach others how to classify breeds.

It's OK.. I happened to a sample DNA test done on my dog when she was a puppy so I was curious to see how this app fared in comparison. In general it had at least one of the breeds that was identified in my original DNA test. To say it's fully accurate? Not really but for shelters trying to get an idea beyond visual/behavioral identifiers, then it's worth the 1.99.

Pretty accurate!. We have asked our personal vet what they thought our mutt was, so out of curiosity I used the app and got the same results. Plus it was just fun to use.

Not even close. I tried this on both of my cats and it didn't even come close. Clearly more work is needed to make this a functional app.

Fun and on point!. As a dog rescuer and avid mutt lover, this app is GREAT! I've tried it on over ten dogs so far and it is fun and I'd say very accurate. I have recommended this app to friends and fellow rescuers.

Could Be Better. I got DNA testing for my mutt, and also got this app. Although this app is tons cheaper, it was mostly inaccurate on the breeds. While Dachshund was right, the other two were inaccurate.

Impressed. I assumed it would guess and inaccurately choose breeds but I was surprised when it chose the right breeds for my pit/boxer mix. It hit it right one the nose.

Awesome App!. I have always worried what breeds make up our beautiful Izzy! It was very interesting to learn where she comes from. Thank you for this wonderful idea and access to such knowledge.

DNA tests are most accurate. I've had a DNA test done on my mutt. This app got the chihuahua right but the rest wrong. Just didn't ask enough questions. I wouldn't rely on this. I'm glad my .99 went to dogs tho. It was fun for 5 min.

Idea to make app worth 99 cents. Once the possible breeds have been determined, then it would be nice if the app would advise on health warning that relate to those specific breeds along with feeding and grooming tips.

Excellent determination. I am pretty sure the app is mostly correct. I have long suspected she was primarily the breeds suggested. It was nice to get confirmation.

Half right. I know for a fact my dog is part beagle (mother was full beagle). I guessed he was part lab because of his size and hair coat/color. While it would be cool to be able to know what mixes are, they are all educated guess by veterinary staff by years of experience. The only true way to know is DNA testing.

Fun app. I got the DNA test done twice, several years apart and it had totally different results. None of which really matched what vets, trainers and rescue people thought they were. This was spot on!

Good idea poor data. The idea behind the app is wonderful, but more data could have been collected in better detail. Plus, the results were always super typical breeds i.e. Labs, Aussies, German Shepards, ect. Would love to have seen some not-so-known breeds pop up especially since there's a price for the app itself.

Not a lot of breeds. I looked for my dog, and while I chose all the correct things, he was not on the list. I have a berniedoodle, Bernese mountain dog and a poodle, and I chose both traits of the poodle and Bernese, yet it would only recommend to me a similar looking dog: the Australian sheep dog.

Very basic.. Thought I would give it a try...very basic and inaccurate. You are better off spending $30 for a genetic DNA test. Only 7 questions to ask about your dog.
