Flaky at best. The app is supposed to track and record trip history. I have called support to complain many times. Total mikes driven for the week will show 20 for example and the daily mileage will show zero with no trip info. Sometimes it shows up correctly other times not. Can also see the car go from point A to point B on the location portion of the program, but see no trip in the trip history. Also it may show up 2 days later. Same problem when looking at their website so it is a problem with the overall system and not just the app. Last time I called support back to check on a ticket number from the prior weeks support call they never looked into the problem. It just said customer hung up. So we are dealing with liars and lazy people. These people are not really interested in making sure this product works correctly.

Eh.. If I could get out of my contract right now I would. It’s an adequate device but it doesn’t really keep track on a regular basis of the things it supposed to. It also doesn’t do the greatest job of tracking where my vehicles are. I have one vehicle that the app shows at a certain location for a month and a half now and the device hasn’t caught up to where it actually is even though it’s continuing to track occasional trips from time to time. I believe the problem is with the app not the device but I don’t know for sure. For a while one of my devices was beeping every 3 to 4 minutes and when I called tech-support they not only couldn’t tell me why it was doing if they could tell me how to stop it and they ended up finally replacing the device.

I wish I could review the app and the device separately. I really, really like this app. I use it to track arrival and departure time for various jobs and to capture addresses for contacts. I wish I could keep two weeks’ of data in it, but I’ll cope without it. But the device? Despite a million assurances at the Verizon store, it has yet to record any diagnostic data from my (older) car. I need to call customer support about it, but haven’t been able to at a time during daylight when it isn’t too cold or wet outside to go out and unplug/replug/etc since it’s at a very awkward angle in my cart that basically requires me to almost lay on the ground to insert it. And although when I bought the device it was $15, the restocking fee would be about $200. The first one I had was declared to be broken, but the second is doing the same thing. It doesn’t even update the official location of my car. Very disappointed in the device. Need to call CS this weekend for sure b/c have appointment at mechanic at dealership on Monday and maybe there’s something they can do to help.

Great Device & App. I use this on my 81 year old father’s vehicle. It’s great for showing pretty much in real time where he is. It shows the mph, location and even lets me know if he’s low on gas. I’m currently setting up “barrier alerts” that push directly to my screen to let me know when he’s leaving or arriving at a certain location. I recently had a “software push” update to the device that fixed some issues with mapping. And HUM spotted that issue, sent me a text and voila, it was 100% the next morning! All in all, I love this service and recommend it for anyone who needs “peace of mind” knowing where their loved one is!

Great Idea But.... I’ve had HumX for quite a while. I like it but it seems to have a location problem. It shows my car miles away from home where it sits. I can’t get it to locate correctly. This is a new problem. About 8 months ago I got into the car to a dead battery. N O WARNING from Hum. Just recently I DID get a warning the battery was fading (turned out it was a defective battery) but the warning came to late. Hum did tow it to my dealer. But they only tow for 10 miles and in this case the overage was 2 miles. I was charged very little for the tow extra cost. This app is a great idea especially when everything is working. But I find it hard to trust it now. Most annoying is locating my car which is important for many reasons. I have not looked but I’ll bet there are better more reliable apps.

Disappointment. Tried to access this assistance once and it have failed terribly. Diagnosis is informational, but service to help a disabled vehicle. Terrible service. Shame on me for trusting my children and I would be in good hands. You left my son stranded on the side of a busy overpass, waiting for 4.5 hrs. Just to tow the car a mile away. In which you stated less than 10 miles were covered. A promise of assistance was suppose to be by his side within an hr. He waited for 4.5 hrs. Denying the assistance of passerby’s because he was waiting for Hum’s assistance. Still nothing. Thanks to the assistance of a police officer, he was understandable. Having to service out of pocket, on top of purchasing the device, and a monthly fee to have “access” to occasions like that. What can I say. I’m very disappointed. Had something happened to my son, there is nothing forgiving. If you had assisted when I needed you, as promised, I’d give it a second chance. But, it only takes this one time to see the true colors of deceitful promises to keep your customers believing in your service. NO THANK YOU! In compensation, I would like my investments refunded. FULLY!

Exremely unsatisfied. I was involved in a car accident that almost cost my unborn childs life three weeks ago, my vehicle was struck front passenger side where the tire is. The ob reader failed to detect the accident, furthermore when i went to manually request 911 assistance from the visor clip portion of the device it failed to dial out and i had to use my cellphone. The selling point for me was it would automatically call 911 if crash was detected thankfully i didnt lose consciousnesses stemming from the accident seems how the product failed in every way it was designed to function. FFwd i called to report to hum and they assured me they would have someone contact me in x amount of business days and that they sent it up to their engineers to handle it. Its going on three weeks they never once called me back. They failed to pin point whats going on and when ive explicitly explained i want a refund and my mobile company informed of their manufactures error they continuously gave me the run around.

Waste of money. I got a Hum April 2017. In December 2017 my son got in an accident in the car with the HUM. The Hum did not sense the accident and did not call the car or alert me. But I seem to keep getting notifications that there are no problems with the car. All systems working fine. That is mess to me since the car the was destroyed In he accident. I have contacted Verizon several times and no ever explained why this device failed or helped me in anyway. They keep referring me to the service which they always tell me will contact me in 24 hours. Well I have been told 4 times that they will contact me in 24 hours. They LIE. They keep charging me $10 a month for there useless piece of junk. Do not buy this I got developers response to contact them so they can help me. I sent 2 emails to them. In the last week. And guess what NO RESPONSE from them. This device is crap and failed when it needed most DO NOT BUY IT. Or you too will be stranded after an accident with a HUM that does not work

Ring just plain works great.. I would recommend this ring video doorbell to anyone. Works fantastic and little to no maintenance. I have had the one I have now approximately 5 years or more. I can be away in North Carolina and know when someone is at my door. Even talk to whom ever it might be, also. With the community inter connecting news/warning ability of the unit, I can see what is going on around town that other ring users upload to the community page. I would by again in a second and they update/upgrade software in the unit as soon as it is developed.

Don’t waste your money. I purchased the HUM device through Verizon about 6 months ago. Recently my check engine light came on but the app didn’t report any issues. When I took my car into the dealership they told me that the reason the check engine light was on was BECAUSE of the HUM device continuously cycling diagnostics on the car’s CPU! Which is not healthy for the vehicle and I’m lucky it didn’t do any damage to the car’s CPU. So I just paid $130 for the dealership’s CPU diagnostic test to tell me that HUM’s CPU diagnostics was the issue, ridiculous! I also was in a car accident back in June and the HUM app did nothing in alerting emergency services; or helping in any way in an emergency situation, off the side of the highway, in the middle of no where, in Kansas. Don’t waste your money on this app that basically is only good as a GPS. I’ll definitely be contacting HUM and Verizon asking for my money back and to cover the costs I was charged by the dealership. They are lucky nothing major happened to my vehicle. Don’t buy this product because something major might happen to your vehicle!

Very Useful App. I love this app because I can keep up with where my mother is. I can keep up with the diagnostics of her car. She can notify help if needed. It will notify help in the event of a collision, and she is not able to notify help. I can also use the app on my phone to let me know where the best gas prices are in my area. We have had the HUM device for about seven years! They notify me when her car battery is low or when the HUM device needs to be charged. I am notified when her device goes off-line. Then I can notify her caregiver to correct the issue! Totally worth the investment!

Unreliable:. I had Hum for 11 days and was not impressed. The gps locator never found my vehicles even when I was standing next to both of them. I never received a maintenance alert when I had a recall on one of vehicle. Finally, the police called me and told be that they received an alert that my vehicle was in a accident. So I called my wife and asked her how the accident occurred and if she was alright. She had no clue what I was talking about. The Hum gave first responders a false alert and waisted their time and my family’s time. Later that week I went to cancel and they refunded half of the fees charged to my account saying I was past the 3 day return policy. I had to speak to 3 reps before I could get some money back for a product that is unreliable and does not perform as advertised. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. Do not trust this worthless junk with family or friends. Hum I give you ZERO STARS.

Incredible app especially for devious dad. This app lets you know everything I ever needed about my car. Other than a low battery warning I have never had another problem with the car that would require notifications. The fun side of it is when a son happens to borrow the car to meet us somewhere.....you can call them and say. Slow down. Next left. Or....you do know the speed limit on 81 is 65 riiiiight???? Lol. Have been able to get 3 of my kids with this. Thanks for making “Daddy Vision”. Epic!!

Moving violation. Hey I purchase the original black box hum when it came out. I was traveling off the RFK bridge in Harlem near motor vehicle on 125 street. Nypd stopped me traveling south on 2nd Avenue. I told the officer why you stopped me . He said I saw you talking on your phone. I told him I have an hands free device. I said call your supervisor. He said license and registration. I gave it to him. Gave me a ticket. Went to court back in November 2018! Judge looked at the receipt when I purchased the item. Brought in the items from hum. Brought in pictures how it’s mounted to my vehicle. I beat the cops nypd At they nonsense so thank you hum for being creativity for what you done to avoid accidentally car accidents and tickets. Y’all must advertise more. That should be the scenario beating a ticket! Rate y’all an easy 10!

Hum is great. I use Hum in my classic car and it works great. Alerted me to low coolant and a few other issues. The GPS location option alerts me where my car is and when it goes outside of a set boundary. Caught a dealership mechanic taking my classic car for a joy ride. Hum told me my car was leaving the dealer service boundary set and I called. The work being done did not require a test drive. The mechanic was reprimanded. The coupon discounts tab also has some excellent discounts. The Bluetooth speaker is clear and the support and mechanic support is helpful. I have not used in an emergency yet but I did accidentally press the emergency button on the speaker and they responded quickly.

AWSOME. This does every thing. It tells you how many miles you get to a gallon. Diagnosis your car. Keeps up with your mileage. Tells you exactly where your car is parked. Kids don’t answer the phone. Just show up where the car is parked. Tell all their friends hi. They will answer next time I bet. Seriously if they would come up missing at least you could locate the car. (God forbid)). You will have saved precious time. Set boundaries. And you will know they went further than they should have. It tells you how long the driver was on their phone while driving. And a whole lot more. And help is just a button away. Wonderful customer service. I love mine and would purchase again.

Overly Sensitive. This has been a good purchase and I like the features. Better and cheaper than OnStar. I will provide criticism in regards to the Safety Score. It seems have become too sensitive and unreliable. This is a shame because I rely on this feature to keep me honest and provide feedback to my insurance company. Recently, it has been accusing me of hard breaking in areas where I wasn’t even breaking. As a matter of fact, it has been tagging hard breaking a lot; too much. Also, I would like to see the Safety Score feature re-coded to take anomalies into consideration. Such as, ignoring a hard break tag if the driver has no other marks for the week. This would absolve the driver if he/she needs to break hard to avoid a crash.

To keep on keeping on..... Hum has immeasurable value towards road warrior requirements: roadside assistance is not limited; easy checkup of car’s ops means reducing the experience of surprises when having repair/servicing/inspection needs; location GPS id’s your car’s neighborhood in a more complete manner than mere street crossings; sharing wi-fi connection is far superior using the Hum X feature set as compared to cellphone Hot Spot capability; pro driving is now measured and reported by the app as relates to driving without distracted use of a phone while vehicle is underway. Even driving with territorial excesses can be noted by boundaries that may be set by a primary user for instances of leaving car with a parking attendant or when lending car for use by another.

WARNING APP TRACKS YOU, NOT YOUR CAR. WARNING! At first I loved this app. Today though, I accidentally discovered that through the Safety Score program on this app Verizon tracks YOU and not just your Hum device in your car! While repeatedly being a passenger in someone else’s vehicle, I was rated by how that driver was driving. In addition my rating was penalized for using my phone while being a PASSENGER in that government vehicle. This app stalks and tracks your daily activities through your phone, NOT by the Hum device in your car. Hum has been able to stalk me in daily activities and on a private military installation even though I am not in my personal vehicle....without my knowledge. HUM TRACKING SHOULD ONLY BE ALLOWED IN CONJUNCTION WITH MY HUM DEVICE IN MY PRIVATE VEHICLE...ONLY, NOT as a passenger in someone else’s vehicle! Sounds elementary, but if you get this app BE SURE to adjust your privacy settings.

I love this thing!. The Hum is awesome! I love that I can actually track my car in current time and see exactly where it is, the average and top speed it's been driven. Every trio it's taken. I can set speed alerts. Boundary alerts; I can see how my car is running track maintenance. And... Have automatic emergency service notification if my vehicles are ever in a severe accidentand that's just on the original hum. I have both the new and original devices. The new one also is a wyfi hotspot so we always have internet access for our wyfi capable tablets, etc when traveling. And when paired with our phones can also be used to cask in to and out on if need be. What can I say? It's just amazing! Get one, you won't regret it! It's definitely worth the money!

Love that this app!. I installed this app on my daughter’s car to give me a sense of security when she drives her car back and forth to college, which is over 4 hours from home. It’s great to be able to look at the location and see that she’s at school, safe. It also has detected a couple of issues with the car that have reoccurred. It’s nice to be able to know ahead of time what the codes are in case the mechanics try to tell me it’s something else. Knowing that if there was any emergency on the road, my daughter can press a button and immediately be connected to a live person for help is invaluable. Overall, I’m very happy that I got the Hum!!!

Enjoy the Hum. We have used the Hum to discover restaurants and gas stations in new areas of travel. The Hum has also advised us that we were having low battery and one other time that there was an ignition issue. Nice to have this information before getting stranded! My husband also drives occasionally approximately 40 minutes away to help our family and forgets to give me a heads up when he is heading back home. All I need to do is check the Hum and I can see if he’s heading back and get supper on to cook.

Hum is awesome!. I currently have both the regular Hum+and the HumX. Both of the products have made me feel safer for anyone driving my cars, and myself. I love the ability to see my car’s health, and even track my trips. I would highly recommend one of these products.. the only difference is the X does allow the WiFi (which is ok, but you have to remember you can go over your 1gig quickly, if you forget to turn it off) and the device looks more modern. The normal Hum is definitely cheaper per month, since you are not paying $10 extra for the data plan. Quite honestly, I really should have got the second Hum as a normal one, not the X, since I have tons of data on my phone. I was under the impression the Verizon data was CDMA, but it is GSM- my cellphone already has GSM, so kind of a waste, now- I wish I could switch it out, but can not, since under a contract, which I hate contracts. In conclusion, it is an excellent product, which I feel very safe with (I live more out of the cities, and I drive about 36k miles a year, so this is a must if something ever happens to me. The only issue I have now, is the latest update to app has crashed a couple times, the tracking keeps freezing on about past days location, and the mpg does not work now.

Second chance. Giving Hum another try. My first Hum, didn’t work reliably. Over a period of several months it kept losing features until it just didn’t work. My calls to customer service left me on hold, and the Verizon store where I bought it offered no help. So I was on my big cross- country trip, now and hoping it would work if I could just figure it out. Nope- just plain not working. So I stopped at a Verizon near the highway, and the salesman finally relented and gave me a new model as a replacement. Model two is working great! I am really glad to have it. It gives me all kinds of info as I travel, the WiFi works well. I enjoy the Bluetooth speaker and the data on my car and driving is real useful.

Ford ranger. This is a great product. I bought my 08 ranger last year and put the hum in it. It tracks everything from fuel speed and location to oil changes and lets you know of any problems you may have. It is nice to have if u like to maintain your vehicles. And also if u let someone borrow your truck or car u can see how they treated it all by logging in to the app for hum. I truly. Recommend this product to any one for any car and any age. In my opinion it’s better than ON STAR and sure is a lot cheaper and it can tell you more info than what a GM ONSTAR can give. If you don’t have a hum get one it will come in handy down the road. You won’t be disappointed!

Not sure about it.. Got the Hum and was excited to start using it. The features and capabilities I really liked. Down fall is it never really worked. Only the first week I had it and even then it was very sketchy. Almost as if it would turn on and off randomly. Then stopped working all together. The even worse for me was the customer service was not what I hoped for. Took on average 5-10 minutes to even talk to anyone. Then given outsourcing it was difficult understanding what many of the people were saying. I was told it was just a software issue and they would fix it. A week later it still wasn’t working. Called again.... for them to say they are working on it and they will call me in 48 hours with a solution. Three days later still nothing and I called again. Told once again they are working on it but remember I can still use the roadside assistance..... I just want the thing to work. My insurance has roadside assistance. After repeat phone calls I still get the same results and a nonfunctional device that I’m paying service for as well as purchased the device itself. Not very happy. Not sure why they can’t just swap out the unit instead of going weeks with out something I paid for.

Amazing app and device!!. I bought the Hum originally to put in my elderly parents car, just as a safety feature so we would know where they are when they disappear in their car, not to restrict, but just to make sure we know where we can find them if they get into trouble. It worked so well in their car, I purchased another to place in Dad’s pickup. A few weeks ago, I was tracking their way home from visiting my sister in another state. They got within 10 miles of home when I noticed that they were parked on an exit...? I tracked a few more times to see if the app was behind their actual movement. When I changed to satellite view it looked like they were parked in a stand of trees right off the exit, so my husband and I decided to go check it out. When we got there and saw 8-10 emergency vehicles with lights flashing, my heart about popped out of my chest! Sure enough, there was a crash and their car was right in the middle of the clump of trees! The Hum led us right to them before anyone had a chance to notify us of the crash. The device and app are priceless to me. Well worth the purchase price, knowing they will have safety features in place wherever they go.

Will Not Open!!!. After the latest update, this app no longer opens! When I click on the app, it just disappears. This used to be a great app for its primary purpose of diagnosis of problems with the car. The discounts for food and other things were good when it worked, but it was hard to get it to work. Many of the discounts were for things we would never use. The new update states now that the coupon feature will only work if you are parked within 500 feet of a store or restaurant with an offer. Well, so much for pre planning! Can you imagine driving to a shopping center and parking just to check if there are any discounts? Then you have to drive to another side of the shopping center and park to see if there are any coupons to use on that side of the shopping center. Repeat until you find a coupon that you like?!? No thank you. Clearly they do not intend to make the coupon feature something that anyone would ever want to use! It does make a good sales pitch for Verizon, however, to be able to tell potential buyers that there are coupons to help recoup the $10/month fee for the Hum service. If only that feature worked and was useful. . .

Value Tool. We purchased the HUM since are 16yr old started driving and it gives us parents a “Piece of Mind” when he travels. It’s Funny cuz his mother n I didn’t tell him about the HUM when we first purchased only telling him we purchased a Bluetooth Speaker Phone so he doesn’t talk n Drive. So he connects his phone to system. Low and behold after setting the Speed Limit on the app, we call him over the Speaker Phone, asking our son why he’s speeding speed limit. So what does any 16yr old do? Denies it, well after explaining what HUM really was we know have a SAFE and Good New Driver in the Family!! Thanks HUM

Frustrating Service. We’ve had a Hum less than 3 years & it’s stopped working. It’s been frustrating & a joke calling to get assistance with it. After a week of phone calls, each one taking 15 minutes & each time they had to get my husband on the phone as the primary account holder, after them resending a signal to it, after twice of us unplugging it & installing it again, having them send a ticket to their engineering dept, we were told “yes, it’s not working anymore.” You would expect a device to last longer. The whole time it was working the Safety record was somehow based on my cell phone GPS & not the car the Hum was in so it wasn’t recording our child’s driving safety. If you’re using it to track someone just use Find a Phone, you don’t have a monthly fee with it.

Peace of mind. Our college daughter’s car being that it is older did not have any capability for anything like Onstar so we decided to try Hum by Verizon and it is a nice product to show driving records, vehicle alerts if maintenance is needed on the vehicle and use of cell phone calls with hands free driving through the speaker system and she can call if an emergency arises. You can set boundary parameters for the driver and know if they are going out of that radius with alerts to the parent. You can also see where your vehicle is at all times even if they are traveling out of the state. She has had a 97% good driving record with the Hum monitoring system. During the winter we had an alert about her battery being low and thus it saved her from having a dead battery and non use of the car. I would recommend Hum by Verizon as it gives us as parents peace of mind.

My Hum. I have had virtually no problems with the Hum and I have had it for over a year. My Alexa Echo Auto works very well on the WiFi the Hum provides. Very detailed information is generated from the application. You can find your car, see where your kids are and where they drove to in a blow by blow account. Let’s you know if the car is in need of service and can make recommendations on repair shops. Our family has found the Hum to be very useful and stable... The Hum service for the Hum product is very expensive, the monthly fee is $50.

Shady sign up, awful service. I was signing up with Verizon and they had a deal to get hum as well. I thought if it’s anything like triple a sure. O boy was I wrong. Apparently I was then in a 2 year contract which Verizon seemed to keep pretty secretive . I didn’t have a car after the first year so I was stuck paying for him for an entire year without even having a vehicle. The two times I actually needed hum were pointless too . One was out in Palm Springs in city limits. I ran out of gas. Apparently no one could get to me for 3 hours it was 112 degree weather. So they were useless and I had to walk . The other time was in Los angeles on the free way my car broke down and no one could come for 3 hours again so had to call another company. So I paid probably 1000 dollars to use this company and they did absolutely nothing for me. There service doesn’t even work on road trips where you would need them the most. Use triple a don’t get in this trap

Extraordinary Vehicle companion App. I've been a Verizon HUMx user for the past few months, and my experience with the device has been great. However, my review of the application has some suggestions and feature requests which I believe would add to the value of HUM. First, I think the navigation portion of the HUM app needs to be seriously reviewed. It has a tendency to crash and close on me when I am using it for directions, which means it needs some serious redesign or it needs to be removed and redirected to either Google or Apple Maps. Second, the Safety Score seems to be especially sensitive to sharp cornering and hard braking. I think the parameters by which the application judges those instances should be adjusted to be a little more realistic. Lastly, HUM should automatically detect when I am a passenger or when I am driving by just determining whether my car is on or off. It's a bit annoying that I need to tell HUM when I am driving and when I am not. Overall, my experience with the device and application has been great but Verizon has the potential to make it better.

Limitations of hum. I love the features of my hum device but I have found that it lacks the intelligence to detect when roads are sharp and require “sharp” turns. I’ve also noticed the sensor does not completely zero in on the roadway when creating your path but it is within close proximity. This is either the best alibi or the worst tattle tale invented. It even will record how fast you drive and where you are when you are driving at the speed of your choices. You can program in the values and it’ll record the data. It’s also very in tune with how much gas is actually in your car so if the little arm on the indicator breaks you have a fail safe system.

Nice app. Device great when working.. Unfortunately Hum gets a 3 Star from mainly because of Verizon. Was great when it worked. Then without warning the OBD (plug in car)device quit sending a signal. You couldn’t see where the car was, no driving history & worse if my 16 yr old wrecked a emergency signal would not be sent. I call Hum customer support & they were great. I was told to take it back to the Verizon store & exchange for one that works. Verizon warranties the device & they will not give one in a store. They will send one. So now instead of a day or 2 without the peace of mind & the emergencey contact that the Hum gives me when my teenage driver is out, I have to wait until Verizon mails one. I think this device is great. For a new teenage driver it helps the parent know they are safe & if there’s a problem wreck or service, then you are notified through the app. Verizon has ruined it for me.

Only needs 1 minor feature. I purchased this app so I could keep tabs on my teenage kids, unfortunately HUM does not let you know when your kids go to the library and then remove the device for whatever reason, it only alerts you after they have plugged it back in. It’s seems like such a minor fix since it’s mostly all done with coding anyways and they have it alert you once it’s plugged back in, it tells you it was unplugged at x:xx time and plugged back in at x:xx but like I said that’s after the fact. If we could somehow just know that it was unplugged we as parents could make a phone call and possibly prevent a bad decision, or even save a life, because when it’s unplugged the device says it’s last location so they could be in a ditch somewhere but Hum is going to say they are at the library. Just my two cents.... the coding is mostly there let have have something useful

Peace of Mind for Piece of Mind. That’s just it! HUM gives you that! You know where your vehicle is and employees are at any given time. You are also alerted when your vehicle needs and new service. At the end of the day you can rest assuredly that your guys showed up to work on time and that your vehicle and equipment thats most likely in it are all safe. It’s unfortunate to have to even use a product like this to keep a person more honest considering HUM does a number of things to benefit your company. With the technology and info HUM provides, it will let you know distances and times from place to place, keep track of the milage, update you for services and repairs, show you the idle time, history and location plus the whole 9 yards as far as I’m concerned, etc.....What more do you need then all that I mean even if you find yourself in a sticky situation it has an emergency button to get the help you might need and definitely get it there for you a lot quicker if something was to happen. I gave HUM 5 stars because: 1) HUM could literally save your life and give you: 2) “Peace of Mind for Piece of Mind” And with that my friends go home safe and happy with HUM “Your Vehicles Guardian Angel”

Stolen car. My car was stolen 5/16. I got up and it was gone. Got on the Hum app and saw where it was and it was moving. Called 911 and stayed on the line with telling every stop it made and turn it made. The police followed my directions of where it was going where it stopped and went to where it was and arrested the thieves. I had my car back in 3 hours from the time I called them. I even made it to church in time. I gave a testimony about it and everybody wanted to know where they could get. So needless to say, I love my Hum device and I love the Hum app.

Disappointing. I rarely rate anything, but I must share my experience with this product. A Verizon representative convinced us to purchase this device and after 2 weeks of it plugged into my OBD reader, I received an email saying there is no driving activity detected. This is ridiculous considering I drive for my job. Moreover, I called Verizon and Hum customer service directly with no assistance or follow up. The Hum representative was completely confused and essentially passed my issue to engineering-I am yet to hear back from any Hum personnel (it has been a week). I wanted to return this device but could not due to a 14 day return policy. Lastly, my local grocery store did not recognize the coupon from the Hum app, nor did they want to redeem the coupon. This product is amazing in theory, but I believe Hum needs better customer service and support, and simply put, Hum needs to address the blatant flaws many customers are experiencing. I am an unhappy customer, and even more frustrated by the lack of responsiveness from Hum.

Businesses took my car joyriding. I recently purchased an expensive sports car. The dealership, Toyota of Tacoma, was installing options I purchased. In addition to the dealership, my car went to 2 other specialty businesses for these options. My car was taken, by EACH business (Euro Collision, Toyota of Tacoma, and JMS Auto Salon) joyriding by their employees. The HUM app tracked locations, time, accelerations, hard braking etc. Without this app I would have never known. I now have legitimate records that I can seek restitution for this theft. I have HUM devices on all my vehicles, and I recommend this product highly.

Best Thing Verizon has ever Sold !!. Bought these for all my kids when they started driving. Let’s me know if they are driving too fast, or have car issues. I was able to text my daughter she left her headlights on when she went into the movies -because I got a battery draining alert. it would allow me to track them as well -but I have found no need for that since they know I can go back and check their history. Also comes with road side assistance -i’m really surprised it’s not more popular

Great product. The buttons should be moved where you don’t bump them as easily and call support. I’ve called the police on accident once after shutting my door and called customer service many times. They need to make the buttons more purposeful and less easily bumped, but on the bright side, customer service is quick to respond and send assistance if needed. The location services are on point and the new added feature for your gas amount and mileage is awesome. The diagnostics have saved me meant times, signally parts that need worked on. Overall I love the HUM and will continue to add them to all vehicles we own.

Very Grateful. I got the HUM for free as an add on to getting the Gizmo for my 9 year old and was just like “whatever” about the HUM because it allowed me to get the Gizmo for free. We’ve had a baby in the NICU the last 74 days which also happens to be an hour from our actual home (I mention this because having a baby in the NICU any amount of time is extremely expensive so funds are more than tight especially since I we decided I won’t work while out baby is in the NICU) and this morning I finally decided to install the HUM into the car and then BAM on the way home in almost 100 degree weather our alternator goes out we are stranded on the side of the highway like 7 miles from home. HUM rep got all our info and after 30 minutes we were towed home FOR FREE... we called two other shops before I finally said “let me call HUM” one wanted $70 to tow 7 miles plus a $75 hook up fee 😳 TOTALLY WORTH THE $15 a month!

Without the Hum we’d have never known.. The Hum was something we never really used, got it from Verizon due to a promotional offer and it was just 10. a month so figured why not. That was until 1 day our vehicle was taken into a service center, for tires & an oil change, which they took on a very fast joy ride, while sitting in their waiting area, got a call from a family member asking why the car was being driven at high rates of speed very reckless on an icy snow covered road. So pulled up the Hum App to see it was being driven 80 mph. Long story short we confronted them and reported them for recklessly driving our vehicle. Without the Hum we’d have never known. Always nice to have a set of eyes looking out for a vehicle because it does happen more then most even realize.

Great with some huge glitches. I bought this to monitor a teenager with her new car. No complaints about speed alerts or location services. I would love to see more detail about car health. My daughter's battery was dead and the mechanic said it was generating less than 9 volts. The Hum device declared all was well with the battery. I would have loved to know her battery was dying before she ended up stranded away from home. Update: My daughter delivers pizza now, which scares me to death. Having the HUM gives me peace of mind that I could locate her quickly if anything happened.

A Great Assistant. I’ve had my HUM for around 15 years and it is still a lovely tool. While it has a hiccup once in a while, it’s great for alerting the driver when they go over the set speed limit and if there’s a problem with the electrical system or drive train I get a notice. My two favorite things about my HUM are; the fact that my one is the older version but according to the ratings it still beats the newer versions. And-I can find the car. When my Husband is out and can’t answer his phone I can see where he’s at with the location system. I’m not spying, it’s in case he’s late or the weather turns-I see it as a safety net. My Mother uses hers when she can’t find her car in a large parking lot or garage. Overall, I love it and plan to keep it until it dies.

Angel watching. My wife was driving in a state other than our own. She was visiting an old friend and returning home when she had a major accident. The first thing she did was to call me. She was scared and hurt. She called me before anyone even approached her car. Within seconds of answering her call I heard the HUM Customer Care person come over the HUM device and said they have received an indication that the vehicle was in a wrack. My wife answered she was. The operator asked if she was hurt. She answered she was. The HUM operator immediately contacted emergency services and gave her location on the Interstate she was driving on and described to them the injuries my wife had indicated she was suffering. The Operator than asked my wife if she should call her listed emergency contact. In this case I was already on her cell phone listening in. Within a minute (really) I heard the sirens and the operator told my wife those were for her. The emergency responders were speaking to her very quickly after that. They learned that she had me on the phone and gave me directions to where they were taking her. I could not be more grateful to both the HUM system and the staff behind it and the emergency responders. Keep up the good work HUM and THANK YOU!

Works great, sometimes.. I own a transportation company and rely on the Hum to track the location and speed of the vehicles in my fleet. When it works, it works with exact precision. However, there are times when it randomly goes down, even when properly connected and fully charged. This last week it went down in one of my vehicles and I didn’t know the vehicle location for an entire week. The same happened a few weeks ago on another vehicle. I assumed that maybe the drivers disconnected the device, but after inspecting I saw they were properly connected and didn’t work even after I test drove the vehicles around town. Until they work these bugs out, I cannot recommend the Hum if you require 100% reliability.

Interesting App. I’ve mixed feelings on app. No, it is not saving me money on insurance. My insurance won’t accept this app. The idea of being able to get read outs on my vehicle health is still the big plus to me. My car is very young so no issues yet reported. The Safety Score system seems interesting BUT yesterday when my car sat in the driveway all day, it picked up another trip in a different vehicle and reported it as mine. Yes, the Hum Device was in my stationary car. This worries me. I am still trying to figure out “hard acceleration”, “hard breaking”. I live on a good hill. Yes, it takes some acceleration to get up it, and serious breaking when descending. I don’t think a drink would have splashed and it gets picked up. At least speed is pretty clear.

Unhappy. So disappointed in Hum. I purchased the Hum devices in January because I have a new teen driver. I purchased it so that I could help her monitor phone usage while driving, find her if she gets into trouble or lost, and as a safety feature for her to be able to contact emergency services while she was driving. I’m no longer able to locate my vehicle through the app or online and it will not connect to any phone via Bluetooth. I have contacted tech support 3 times already. No one seems to want to solve my problem as they never call back like they say they will. So now I’m stuck paying monthly for equipment that won’t work with no idea when they plan on fixing it.

Hum Device is Awesome!. This quiet device definitely works when you're in need. I often forget I have the device in my car. I recently was in an automobile accident. Immediately after the crash, I heard the voice of the female dispatcher inquiring about my safety. Within minutes the police arrived on the scene. The dispatcher stayed on the phone until the police arrived. I'm so glad I have this service. Thanks for creating such an awesome service, HUM. From a very satisfied customer.

Great app.. I got the hum a few days ago but it is great I have seen what it can do and it amazes me. I’m a mechanic myself and I get a little protective over my family. I got this to keep up on my car. The only think I wish is that you could add a second driver to the hum/vehicle. If you could add that it would be great cuz my wife and I only have one car right now. So we take turn on who has the car. So adding that feature would be great. Thank you.

Never really alone. My daughter did not appreciate Hum at first. She felt like she was never really alone; like she was constantly being surveyed. When her car battery died and she called me in a panic, instead of having her call AAA, I told her to use the Hum app. She did. And no kidding, in less than ten minutes someone was there to jump start her car. Needless to say she now has an appreciation for Hum and likes the security that she’s not really alone.

Awesome device!. We love this device! The peace of mind of the roadside assistance is worth the cost itself, but we also like being able track the vehicle which belongs to our son. He has a friend who was so shook up following an accident that he couldn’t communicate his location to his parents. We, thankfully, will not have that problem. Furthermore, we have used it as an educational tool for our son to track his gas mileage and tracking business vs. pleasure gas usage. This system does not disappoint and you can’t beat the price!

Mechanics and Roadside. My car broke down a few months ago and hum helped me understand what was wrong with it. I was able to get everything fixed at an affordable cost. I use the discounts religiously to save money. Also, I had to use the emergency roadside assistance. My car stopped in the middle of the road, I couldn’t get out due to incoming traffic, and hum was able to find me as well as send help in a timely manner. They paid for the towing bill. My entire household use the hum to the fullest.

Why??. The app alfar seems to be pretty good but I do have one issue. At first the app would tell you how full your gas tank was using percentages, now it uses a meter. On my opinion using the percentages was much better. I can see the meter in my car. I didn’t need to see it on my app as well. I honestly think you should go back to using percentages. Also it would be great if the app sent a notification when tour has gets down to a certain percentage. Not every car is equipped with a gas light.

Big brother or should I say mother. New teen driver in the house. This is scary yet necessary. Being able to monitor speed, location, etc is priceless. Gives us the opportunity to have real discussions about safety and enforce rules with consequences when not adhered. Daughter was even lost at one point. When she called, I knew exactly where she was but not the street names. Was able to hop on the app and put her back on her path. Love it!

Great product but have lost ability to track my vehicle since recent updates. I use this to help keep track of my vehicle and for long trips the WiFi feature is awesome but recent lost the ability to track my vehicle in real time comes in handy when you other family members are using the vehicle and want to know an estimated arrival time or to make sure there safe and not in need of assistance would be five starts but that’s the only issue I have at the moment

Simply doesn’t work.. Thought this would be a great way to track my kids driving my 2010 Ford F150. First device would never connect spent hours on the phone with customer no-service until they finally sent me a new Hum device. Hum it is not Verizon and you have to go through Hum to get any assistance. Everybody you talk to you have to start from zero and re-explain everything. I canceled the service and returned all the Hums a couple months ago and they still text me once a week in the middle of the night that I have no connection to the Hum. As expected I cannot get anyone to return my email and I am unable to talk to anyone on the phone to get them to stop texting me in the middle of the night. #Humdoesntwork.

Works great till it doesn’t. For the first three months of my Hum it was working great then it stopped working. It hasn’t worked for 20 days. I call customer support they keep telling me they’ll call me back in two days and they never do. I asked to have one swapped out and they won’t basically I’ve been going three weeks without it working without any resolution. I got the hum replaced and it worked for one trip and hasn’t worked for 10 days. Very disappointing. I’m guessing after reading other reviews this is a system problem. News Flash to Hum. If you don’t get this fixed you won’t be around long

Overall Comment. The system is working almost perfect. The one concern that I have is related to trip-history view. The most important fix for this is to create a re-set where the driver at their discretion is able to erase all or a portion of history. In very short order the record will become so large as to be unwieldy, hence useless. And, in turn, blocking access to progressivelye less memory.

Good app/ system, but doesn’t meet claims. The Hum claims to know the price of gasoline at nearby gas stations, however the prices are NEVER the same on the app as they are at the fuel stations. It also gives you the gas usage per trip and your average gas milage, and this is completely false information as well. My app tells me I get over 40 mpg where I only actually average 27~29. Other then these and a few other bugs it’s a good app and meets most of their claims, I love that it shows each trip and if you make a sharp corner or brake hard it shows on the app exactly where it was detected, good system would highly recommend

Re: Driving.. I like the way it maps your routes and everything, But the error points against you, are not accurate. You have to accelerate in order to get on the interstate. Also, at some intersections, they have the yellow arrow, so sometimes there is stopping and starting while trying to time the traffic. When your car is in park, that should not be counted as driving using the phone. Also, the diagnoses needs to be improved. Somethings go unnoticed and they shouldn’t be. Also, the clip box is sometimes a little bit touchy. But yes, I would rather have it then not have it.

No worries. My mother has the beginning of dementia and without her knowledge I put my HUM device in her car. I have no worries!!! When she does not answer her phone I look up on HUM to see where her car is at. I am reassured that my mother is fine and sometimes I even go to the store to “bump” into her to see if she needs any help. I LOVE my HUM device and would highly recommend it to everyone! The HUM device also alerts me of any car malfunctions, for example her car is over heating or her battery is low. I only am alert away from her at all times!!

Safety Score. Used to love the app with few flaws at all, but now that Safety Score cannot he turned off, I am CONSTANTLY bugged about sharp cornering or anything else, and the car makes mistakes when reporting because I went a drive slowly down a straight path and was counted 3 times for sharp cornering... I hate having this app rate my driving based on their own calculation errors and being constantly bugged about it. PLEASE return the feature which disables safety score; to people like me, it just gets in the way. It was perfect when it was able to be enabled/disabled in the past update.

Saving grace. I got the hum accidentally when I upgraded my iPhone. Thinking not much of it for the first few months it really came in handy when we got back from vacation and my car had been stolen out of the garage. The police were able to use the app to track where it was and made the arrest! They were all so amazed by the hum that they said they’ll be getting one too. I wouldn’t have my car right now if it wasn’t for the hum.

Love this for many reasons.. When our son started driving we were nervous parents and wanted to know where he was at all times. That was the original reason for getting Hum, but it’s a great tool for a lot of things. We can tell where he is, AND we can tell what’s going on with his car. We got home a beater car from an auction. A great first car, but not perfect. Hum runs diagnostics whenever the car is turned on. It’s given us codes to get things fixed without having to pay fees “just to see what’s going on” with the car. That’s the best feature in my opinion. It also keeps tabs on speeds and distances as well. Overall. A great product. The only thing I don’t like is I had to sign up for two years, and I probably won’t use it after he turns 18. And I can’t go from car to car. It’s synced with his. I don’t know if I can change that to a different car though.

Awesome. Two new to give me in-depth review of the app and the product but so far the product has exceeded my expectations. I have moved over to this product an app from Tile and tracker talent tracker rely on Bluetooth capability and other peoples having the tile and tracker app on the phone while this product in app relies on its own device and is constantly updating and that’s not rely on other people having the app on the phone to find a stolen item.

Battery issues notifications. I absolutely love this app for keeping tabs on my daughter while away at University. One issue has been that we periodically get notifications that her battery is low on life and later hum notifies us that it is normal. We don’t get it . I had this happen while my daughter was home over the weekend and the car hadn’t been driven. Despite this bug , I love this device and all the features on the app .

My Fleet Work vans.. This Product is Amazing!! Keep up with location of each vehicle, Track idle time on each van daily, Set speed limits and boundaries for each vehicle separately! Even track mileage and fuel consumption on each van. And my favorite.... No more worries if you forget a location you went to you can go back and look day by day or week by week or even month by month. This is the best money a small business Could ever spend for a piece of mind. No more guessing if an employee is on the job or out loafing on valuable company time!!!

No longer works well. After updating this app it no longer gives me the ability to turn on motion and fitness therefore not giving me my safety score I’ve tried uninstalling the app multiple times and reinstalling it doesn’t work they ruined The app i’m just gonna completely uninstall it and leave it uninstalled and not use it anymore it’s useless

Inaccurate results. I’ve been using this device for more than a week. I’ve noticed it does not take in account the “sharp cornering “ is actually the layout of the road. If this item is GPS linked then it should reflect the turns onto side streets or accelerating to get into the interstate. If I took the score to my insurance agent, my rate would go up. Hope this problem can be reviewed and a solution (other then not driving or removing the item) can be found.

Great device. I have had the Hum since it came out several years ago. I have used he device to see what’s going on with the diagnosis part of the app. When I used a valet parking at a area hospital it alerted me my car was out of my area. It was being used by the valet driver to run errands. Should have seen his face when he pulled back in garage and meet me face to face. He lost his job and well you can guess.

Mom of 3. Actually have 3 teens all driving at the same time 😣 so I love hum! My son needed towed the other day, because his car wouldn’t start, hum sent a tow truck while I was stuck at work, and got my son and his vehicle home safe. A year ago my daughter was hit by a semi and she was so shookin up that she couldn’t tell me where she was, hum knew and so did I ! I’ve had tire changes 2 jumps, and it saved me from getting ripped off my a mechanic.... so I am forever grateful

Hum. I got my Hum bout 5 years ago. Teenage sons I could track them. Wonderful they couldn’t figure out how I know where they were. Never told them Excellent on tracking problems with my car. So I knew exactly what to tell the mechanic . Feel safer when you can get in your car and do a Diagnostic test and see the green lights on all your car vital parts. When you saw red you knew there was a problem. Thanks for such a great product

Peace of mind. My son drove my car to Florida and it was awesome to know where he was(safe). I got an email telling me the battery was dead(car had less than 10k miles on it) I texted him to tell him a light must have been left on and he would need a jump. Saved them from being shocked when they got in to go somewhere! Changed it over to my dads truck when he went on a 4 week cross country trip. Such a relief to always know he is ok and where he is. 💕

Worth the money. Got it for my teenage driver when she first started driving to keep tabs on her location and driving. Once she was on her first road trip with boyfriend and got a flat and didn’t know where she was exactly. Looked it up and walked her through it, really calmed my nerves too. Bonus is she gets a insurance discount for having it on her car as an anti theft device. She’s 19 now and wants it on her car when before she was like “Dad you’re a stalker” LOL

AutoHealth Does Not Work. Recently purchased the Hum+ thinking I could transition this into my companies fleet tracking. There are a lot of cool features but one of the most import features for me is vehicle diagnostics in the AutoHealth. Long story short my check engine comes on and I’m like finally let’s see what this app can do. Well per the app there are no issues detected with the car but at the very bottom my emissions section is flagged in yellow stating an issue has been detected. Called up tech support they walked me through all the troubleshooting.. login into this, change this setting, reinstall the app, reinstall the device... still nothing. This review will change once resolved however Verizon is slowly losing its credibility to me.

SURPRISINGLY SUPER SATISFIED👍👍. I just got the HUM about two weeks ago. I was impressed with all the things it does. Thinking it was good to have just in case, but not really expecting to need it anytime soon. I love the daily vehicle check, I was excited about that, but today I locked my keys in my car and almost panicked but then I realized I have the HUM so I pulled out my handy dandy phone and accessed the app. All was done in less than 30 minutes! AWESOMENESS ‼️

Great idea - now get it to work. I bought Hum when it first came out and had it for two years without a problem, and loved the app. I upgraded to the newer model and still no problem. Then I purchased one for our other vehicle, giving us two Hums. Nothing but problems ever since, including draining the battery completely on one vehicle. Customer service has been great, but expect to be on the phone for at least 45 minutes each time. They’ve exchanged both units and their still not working properly. I’m now at the point where I can’t wait for my contracts to be up.

Vehicle theft. My vehicle was recently stolen. Thanks to Hum by Verizon, I was able to inform the Sheriff’s Department where the vehicle was located and an arrest was eventually made after a high speed chase. The device gave me all the information I needed to retrace the suspects footsteps. The suspect was arrested for multiple counts of DUI, Grand Theft, and property damage. My vehicle was recovered but totaled in the police chase. I now have a new vehicle with a new improved Hum device. I wouldn’t dream of owning a vehicle without one. Thanks Hum by Verizon. Bill G.

LOVE my HUM app!. I am pleasantly surprised how much information I ha e at my fingertips. NOT ONLY can I see exactly where my car is at all times, but I can see the driving history including each driving trip location and speed driven. I also love seeing how much gas is in the car and the cheapest place to get gas near my car location. My car is old and has high mileage, so maintenance is a must! Hum gives me alerts if there is concern, and I can run diagnostics from my cell to text to my mechanic. I can’t say enough about the Hum! Best purchase this year!

Love this app. It paid for it self a few days after installing it. I kept telling my mechanic after my car was hit by kids throwing stuff over an overhead bridge, that sometimes I would smell something like hot water and my feet would get very hot, but of course they could never find anything “ I thought I was going crazy but after getting the hum maybe a week later it did it again and as soon as I got home I got a text to my phone that it detected a problem (power train) took it and the phone and showed the message

Great for monitoring new teen drivers!. Gives a parent peace of mind knowing where their child is driving in real time with an easy to use app, what their driving habits look like with specific details, let’s the teen driver know their driving is being monitored so they are more mindful and the crash collision assistance should something happen and the driver doesn’t answer their phone, this a great tool for new young drivers on the road and their parents.

Like the app. I like the app but I’d like it better if they would have kept the video camera part up, I’m sure if people knew that they could have a car camera and cloud service for that camera they would have bought it. Heck I have two units plus the one from Verizion I still use, but my others don’t go to the cloud. Other than that it is like having someone with you all the time. I can see where the vehicle is at any given point and time, see all the trips, speeds. Not sure I like getting the reports on myself for breaking my set speed alarm but it’s nice to know someone is paying attention.

Getting refunds. If your planning on keeping Hum for life your ok, but those who want to cancel because you can get the same deal through your StateFarm insurance for free.. but if your canceling your gum account and you have a refund expect minimum of 2 weeks. Also the people there answering the calls can barely speak any English. After about 10 tries I got a American that I can understand. But he told me that he is getting me a full refund and will be in my checking account within 24-48. Will going 72 hours and still nothing. So I called the Direct line to the same American. Will the refund has not been submitted yet. So I guess I’ll have to wait another 24-48 or maybe another 72 hours before I get the refund they promised me. Don’t get this service unless you get it for life.

Safety score issues. The option to mark myself as a passenger on the safety score has not worked since the last update. I can still mark myself as a passenger and it looks like the app has done so, but it does not save and my safety score goes down when I am only a passenger. Next time I open the app, the trip I marked myself as a passenger has me listed as a driver again. Each time I try and think I am successful at marking myself as a passenger, it doesn’t save. This feature worked well for several weeks but no longer works. Everything else about the app is great and I would modify the review to 4-5 stars if this feature would work again.

Alternator. Tried to start my car one week after getting my hum installed and my car would not start my hum then said my alternator needed to be checked. I thought the hum would have predicted a problem before this sort of problem occurred. Have never had any issues with my car starting before I got hum so I thought it might be the problem. I charge the battery and had no problems since. I am hoping that the hum shows me sooner if there’s a problem and I don’t end up with a car that won’t start.

Last update ruined it. This app used to be very usable and I was tracking my mileage with it for work. Unfortunately after the last update, the UX has become awful. In order to calculate my mileage, it now takes 5-7 clicks to get where I need to be, loads every new page very slowly, does not have intuitive buttons so if you accidentally click out you have to start over, and the tabs aren’t responsive/auto-scroll when you don’t want them to. It now takes me on average 3-5 minutes and a lot of frustration to calculate ONE day of mileage. I’m back to tracking mileage with pen and paper and this app is completely useless to me.

Triple-A functionality for my wife’s F150. I’ve used system only three days. 1. Truck Location only shows on the phone set up as master. Can’t access location from other phones. 2. The app provides the location only about half the times I’ve checked. The rest of the time it searches for many seconds then gives up and displays a message that the truck can’t be found. The rest of the functionality on the app seems to work. The radios (cellular & GPS) are located in the module plugged into the OBD connector under the dash. If it were above the dash right behind the windshield it would probably work better. I’ve talked to the support operator a couple of times and that functionality works fine.

Hum is a great device to monitor your car for any reason.. I installed a Hum in my car many years ago. It helped me in monitoring my car battery levels and also, one time quickly located my car location when it was stolen. My car was recovered within 20 minutes. Since then I never have to worry my car always dead. I strongly suggest everyone should get one.

How Did it Get High Ratings. This app, or perhaps the Hum device, is near worthless as far as accuracy. Accident response requires accurate information as far as location. That doesn’t give me confidence! Additionally, how can I drive 121 miles and not use any fuel? I definitely do not have an alternatively powered vehicle. Back to location, my vehicle location does not jive with position shown in the location sharing section. I mean it is way off! I can’t believe I let Verizon lock me into a two year contract on this near worthless system. Beware! **This is a real review from someone who actually purchased and uses the system and app.”***

Mrs. John Smith (Suzie). We just recently received out HUM from our VERISON Store, one for each car. Frankly, I am amazed with how much information this appliance gives me. Just today I discovered yet another use. My husband used my car this morning to attend a meeting and I needed it back soon to attend another meeting. I was able to see that he was close to home so I readied myself to go out the door. Amazing. I did not have to call him; I just checked my HUM. GREAT technology on all counts.

Helpful. My two reasons for rating this app a five are: My husband’s memory is failing and I am able to track him when he is driving and can locate him should he get lost; and the feature that diagnoses any problems with the car has saved us from a dead battery several times when we have forgotten to turn off the inside light.

My Great Hum. I love my Hum. I recently purchased a new car. My Hum alerted me that I had changed vehicles and needed to update. It was incredibly easy to update this device. I love the face that it alerts you to possible problems with your car, such as when I needed a new battery on my previous car. The feature that let's you know how your driving is rated is very helpful. As a senior citizen I strive to drive responsibly and thus helps me do so. I love the face that if I have an accident or major problem I can call and the Hum will send someone to help. Great little device!!

Hairstylist/ business owner. Love me hum, it gets to record all my trips including my business trips each day, it also tells me where my car is packed no matter the location I am, it also diagnose my car and alert me what I need to look for before heading to the mechanic and alert me about traffic and road constructions. Is a must have, I which I have known about it sooner and I’m loving everything about it and is a must have.

A true peace of mind.. I was skeptical at first when I first read the reviews, I have the hum X, it works out very well and allows me to track the vehicle when my wife is traveling to our cabin up north. Another feature I like is the fact that it alerts me when the battery is low. I have a lot of electronica devices in my vehicle which draws the battery down. I get a text message from Hum telling me when it’s getting low. I also use the device to provide Internet to my Alexa auto.

Best Gift Ever. My husband put the Hum in my car due to my travel locations. Worst gift ever. Well, my car was hit by a rocket disguised as a deer. Both side airbags deployed and it now takes an act of Congress to open and close my driver side door. All I had to do was press the button on my Hum and I was connected with emergency help. They knew exactly where I was located, as did my husband, and in short order everything was under control. Best gift ever.

Hum came through. A friend borrowed my car and was supposed to bring it back later that day. After 2 days and no word from him, I became very worried and drove by all the places I thought he might be and no sign of him or my car. I had completely forgot about my HUM and its abilities. In less than a minute HUM had located my car with an exact address. This is an absolute true story and if nothing else, it relieved the stress and worry I was going through. That alone paid for a years worth of service. I have a second vehicle that’s getting a HUM this week.
