Poor design posing as intentional difficulty. Here we have yet another exhausting example of App Store laziness. A clumsy game with awfully clumsy mechanics (and hideous art direction) that attempts to spin its gawky, stumbling gameplay as addictingly difficult. Alas, this is not, no matter how it tries to convince you otherwise, cut from the same cloth as a truly well-designed bash-your-head-against-the-wall difficult game such as super meat boy. Reason being games like that have actual thoughtful level design, and rewarding gameplay. This game has neither. Don't bother with it

Tale of a Tattoo Artist. I’m a tatted up guy. My whole life is dedicated to body art. When I heard that there was some game where an octopus was ruthlessly spitting ink out everywhere, I was offended. Ink is an art. You can’t just put it anywhere wherever you want. So I decided to see for myself why people are making a stink about Pinky. I guess you can say all my presuppositions about ink…wiped away. This “pINKy” is a true artist. It’s not about where you put the ink: it’s the passion behind the ink. You have this octopus who’s on a mission, and you’re at the helm of his life, giving him guidance. If you’re worthy of the game, little Pinky will explode with ink boosts to get you away from the tidal wave of life. It’s safe to say that I will be replacing all of my normal tattoo ink with octopus ink. Thanks pINKy for opening my eyes. Just keep swimming lil’ guy!

Read this before download!. This app is horrid. It's a trap to get you into giving them their salary. Either you pay for the ads to go away or you give them either more money by finding them through following "cool instagram pages". This is just a big marketing scam. People all over Instagram especially are pulled into it. They post pictures saying how "angering and hard it is". LIES! This is a simple game. In the description it says "I bet you can't even get four" I got six. On the first day of getting this app. All in all, don't get this app unless you are into watching ads. If I could give this zero-half a star I would.

This is bs. U guys don't even deserve a star. I honestly have been playing it for two minutes and saw more ads then the actual time I was playing it. Maybe if u got rid of your ads for free people would begin to like you. I however hate pinky and I'll "brag" about that on Facebook and Instagram. Maybe you should take the game off the App Store then bring it back 5 months to a year later like "flappy bird" did, or not come back at all. Overall, this game is a p.o.s.

pINKy. I really like this game and it's addicting but after a couple of rounds it keeps saying " free life " where the play button is and I don't want to have to keep going to Instagram and doing that. I have uninstalled it and re-installed it and it still does the same thing. They should let u have a choice of the free life.

This game is a giant advertisement. Okay so "pinky" is a stupid flappy bird type game but not even close to as fun or addicting. Not only does this game get boring but when you lose 2-3 times (and you die a lot) then it makes follow a twitter or Instagram page in order to continue and then it says "checking to make sure you actually followed the page" and I never gave the app permission to access my other apps and personally looking at what I follow to endorse their own pages/products and it seems illegal. This app is not only extremely stupid it is unethical as well.

Once upon a add. The game is already frustrating now you're just adding 2 million ads. It was just plain annoying I would have to go to multitask close the app and reopen it because they couldn't play the game without an ad popping up

What I usually do to make the adds go away is to turn the phone on airplane mode. But where the play button usually is it says earn a free life, so the first time it said that I was like YAS! But then the earn free life showed up again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. If the box that said earn a free life was in the corner of the app or something, it would make the app so much better and I am deleting the game because of it.

Fix please. I love the game! But I don't like all the freaking adds that pop up and I don't like how when you try to give a free life I have to click before I can play! Ruins Lives!!!!!!😞😓😓😰😥. I got the game today is addicting. I'm just happy getting 5 others have 8,13 or higher. But the thing I dislike is the ads. Every time you die an ad pops up. When you tap where to go sometimes you go up then sideways and vice versa. I only played this one day it is hard. It is up to you whether to get it or nah. Happy Valentine's day 😃😄😎😆😅

Pinky. I don't really get how to play and there is so many adds I have had it for 2 minutes and every time I die it says "follow this cool Instagram page" or "follow this cool Twitter page" so the owners of the game should take away the adds if they want more people to get the app. It is also really hard to get higher than 4 so yeah. It is kind of fun but like u said it is really hard and there is too much adds!

Addicting and Exciting. This Game is exciting because you never know if you're going to pass or not different levels mazes puzzles and other things are always up ahead that you don't know about. Also its main character pINKY is quite cute actually. The adds may be annoying and would be better if there were none but for an overall this game is very fun!😋

Too many ads. I guess I like the game but there's a few problems. 1, there is always an ad after you play one single round. 2, Whenever I don't play for like 3 hours, it always says "OMG something crazy happened!" Or, "A message from the developer" and then there is nothing there.

The side effects of pinky…. The side effects of pinky… I was a pretty fit person before I got this game! and good looking might I add I started playing just like everyone else in school, the teacher was boring anyways, what was the harm in some simple tapping to get me through the day? Side Effect #1, loss of awareness of time: When I looked up from the screen it was 9pm… school had ended forever ago and I was just sitting there playing this stupid addicting game?! Side Effect #2, extreme weight gain: I have put on 500lbs since downloading this game, I don't move anymore, I just stay in my bed and tap, my family has to beg me to eat, and I can only do it for a few seconds in between each round. Side Effect #3, now I'll never need braces My teeth have all fallen out due to me grinding them together so much. Side Effect #4, empty wallet I have broken so many phones throwing this stupid game at the wall, I am on my 12th phone it's crazy! If anyone is out there, if anyone can hear me, please come help me, take this app away from me, I can't live like this.

Stupid. Stupid too many ads and dumb controls

Horrible.. Okay, don't get me wrong, but the game itself is fun and entertaining. When it comes to ads and things that need to be fixed, it is HORRIBLE! Okay so I was reading all theese comments and I was like nah they are probably lieing. Nope. When I downloaded it, I opened up the app, and an add popped up. I was like it's fine. It's just an add. Then when the game would end, there would be an add every single time that was about 20 seconds long. Then when I tried to tap on the screen to make the octopus go up, it would go either to the left or right, but not up. I didn't have this app for more than 5 minutes!!!

To Many Ads. Everytime I play ads are EVERYWHERE!!!! I was going to beat my high score of 4 and then a stupid ad popped up! After every game there is an 30 sec video and you can't skip it or anything. If you don't want ads you have to pay..like really. Ik 99 cent isn't a lot but cmon..you have to pay just not to have ads. Fix this and I might consider changing my 1 star to an 5 star.

Overly exaggerated. This game is a cool game but it's very exaggerated. It's not flappy bird addicting or addicting at all. It is hard at some points and the game itself will (most likely) won't destroy you. Trust me. I deleted it in the first five times I tried it because the ads are long and annoying. Overall, it's an ok with a few flaws. Just PLZ get rid of the annoying ads, or just make the ads shorter.

Eh. The game itself was pretty cool but there was too many ads. Whenever I died (which happened quite often) an ad that was about 30 seconds long popped up. It wasn't worth the 5 seconds you actually had to play. An ad would also pop up while I was in the middle of a game which made me mess up and click the ad.

Why??? 😣. I was really excited to play this game, but I found out that they play an ad after EVERY single time you die!! And they keep on doing it until you pay them money!! UGH! Not worth the download. They warn you in the description to not play this game because it's too frustrating but the only thing frustrating is the constant ad pop ups. After every single game there is a 30 second ad that you can't skip and forces you to watch it. After getting past that, you can actually play the game which is poorly put together and overall boring.

pINKy. this is a great game i love it its addicting and you dont need wifi thats awesome on my phone theres a remove all adds button since i ve had this game ive only had one add i love it i recomend getting it

My Anger Management Skills stINK. Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck. Some nights I call it a draw. But most nights, I stay up playing pINKy. I play so much that I am actually offended when people don’t capitalize the right letters in my favorite game. My friends got fed up when they realized it is all that I talk about. I see people playing it everywhere. I was in a theatre, and the couple next to me saw me playing pINKy. The man whispered that he loved “Pinky” but he didn’t put ANY emphasis on the INK. I was furious and threw my popcorn on him. I felt like when your friend listens to only the popular songs from your favorite band and tells you that they love the band just as much as you do. This game has literally taken over my life, gotten me kicked out of theatres, but I honestly don’t care. I WILL break the world record high score.

Not good at all. To many adds

No good. I don't think you should buy this game because it is a rip off and it's to hard to beat your score and if you don't play for a while it sends you a notification and says this game won't play itself and I don't think that is right!!!! Don't buy this is a waste !!!!!

DON'T BUY. This game is a perfectly fine, BUT unless you purchase no ads, every other time you die, you get a THIRTY second video! And if you haven't played already, you die ALOT. Other reason not to buy this app is because when it offers you a "free life" it FORCES you to do it by making you go on Instagram or Vine and follow some random person every other death. That is why pINKy is not the app to waste your storage on.

I HATE IT😣😡💔(read before download). I wish I give this game no stars because it is a really bad and aggravating addictive game and the controls r impossible plus there r so much ads. Here is a helpful tip for y'all, if u want people to play ur game don't advertise someone else's. To me and to many other aggravated people who played this game, this is NOT I repeat NOT a good game to play on ur spare time (or any time actually). Pinky is.... Pinky is and extremely addicting game. It's concept is similar to that of "Inchy" and "Flappy Bird". You are given a simple task that is frustrating when you cannot complete it. I gave this game four stars because of the ads, promotions, and overall lag.

Ugh... ‼️‼️‼️😡😬😩. After I actually got the app, I was cool with it and whatever but then it wouldn't let me play until I followed this Instagram account. And now these 30 second ads won't go away. The game is also making people very mad, including myself. After I got the app, I had deleted it within 5 minutes. It's just terrible! Mehhh. I am enjoying the game. I will warn you it is as addicting as flappy bird. REALLY!!! 😥😥👎👎👎👎. Ok so I downloaded a few days ago because people on Instagram recommended it. I played A few times and literally got so annoyed. Not because I couldn't get past 4 but because the adds. Also sometimes when i get back to the home screen instead of the button saying 'play' it's said earn a free life so I of course the first time was like. "Yas!" It's said all you have to do is follow the account so i did. But it did that a hundred more times. And I really hated it so I deleted the app and got it again and the same crap happened again, fix it if take it off the app store

Not tryna brag but.... I just got 4 within the first 10 minutes of owning the app. I feel blessed to have this ability and I further more have decided to delete the game while I'm a winner. #mature. If you're looking for a time waister then this is the app for you! But other than that, this app is mostly 10% game, 90% advertisement and isn't addicting.

Terribly made. I heard a lot of things about this game, so I decided to try it myself. I started playing, I noticed how terribly made it was. Nothing was special about it. I died, and an ad played. Every time I died an ad would play. Really? I play for 5 seconds then I have to watch a 30 second ad? It's horrid how stupid it is. And no, it's not frustrating. I didn't " throw my phone and shatter it", it's just a wanna be flappy bird failure.

Adds Adds and more Adds. The game itself is addicting and aggravating when you die, but there are SO many adds. I often delete it and re install the app just because there are too many adds and it gets annoying, but I still wanna play the game. If you have patience and don't mind apps I think you'll enjoy the game.

NO MORE ADS!!!. It is a good fun game, the only problem is the ads, usually you only survive 5 seconds, and everytime you die there is an ad, not a pop up, a 30 second video AFTER EVERY DEATH! What. The. Actual. Heck.. I came across this game in the AppStore while looking for something new and a small time killer. I played this for no longer then 5 minutes before deleting it. Why? Because the ads were extremely annoying. I was flabbergasted that people could actually play such garbage without paying a fee to remove the ads. Paying money is not even worth it. I mean, the gameplay is "okay", nothing great and certainly nothing that I would use my Instagram to follow some page before resuming to, yet again another add. Meh. The game is fun, but the ads are ridiculous. They are constantly going. Literally every time i die I get an add. They also told me to follow this page on Instagram for a free like and gave me no option not to do it. They also check to see if you did it.

Gagging on video ads. Choked on endless video ads instead of playing your game. Why on earth would you force feed video ads every other death! No skip options or opt out means this was deleted in under a minute. From one dev to another, sort out your on-ramp and let people PLAY your game before you hit them with ads. GAME OVER!

👍. im a beginner but by reading other reviews i can tell its gonna be bad. i used to be an addict to subway surfers, and flappy bird. with subway i would dream of jumping on trees with my hair blowing in the wind. then id dream of flying through tubes. wake up with chirps in my ears. now i dream and daydream in class of switching to one lane to another the hitting a side then water rising up. lawd help me.

Runs Badly…. this game has a cool concept but every time I play the game lags and then when I die the ads take super long to close and it takes so long to just start the game and it just so frustrating it's not worth it to wait 30 seconds just to play again. I wouldn't recommend it.

Eh.... Fun game until you die. There are WAY to many ads. Especially since it's a hard game, and you die quickly you'll have to watch a 10-30second ad. Each time you die another ad pops up which gets tiring when you just wanna play a game.

Ads are annoying.. This game is kinda fun. The only reason I play is because I'm in a competition with my friend . There's TOO MANY ADS. Like after every freaking turn there's an ad! That's annoying. And sometimes it doesn't even go the right direction. Really annoying .

Too many ads. Uninstalled after 3 games and being taken to the app store once plus being forced to watch a 15 second commercial. I made it through 3 seconds of the commercial before deleting the game. Game itself is challenging, but I didn't have enough time to determine if it was fun

Don't get!. I downloaded this game because some people on Instagram recommend it to me. All the ads are annoying! You can't even play the game because the ads. Even if there weren't any ads I still wouldn't play it!! Don't get this game! If hi could rate 0 stars I would.

Ridiculous.. Every single time, you get shown an ad. I know you get paid for this to see your ads, but you need to control this. I deleted this game literally the 5th time I played it. Maybe if you decided to put a banner instead you would be more productive in your app.

Lies. This is literally the dumbest game I think I've ever played in my entire life. Not only is the game god awful, the page on the App Store is so cringey. You can obviously tell they must have hacked or payed to get on the front page. If I could rate it lower I would. Btw all the high rates reviews are fake, sent in by the creator of the app.

Way too many ads. You thought trivia crack was bad? Each round lasts an average of 7 seconds and then you're forced to watch 30 seconds ads between rounds. Could be a good game if they found another way to make a profit.

Fun but really frustrating.. This app is really fun and kinda addictive but it is quite difficult and gets very frustrating. Too many ads as well.

😳. There are way too many ads and when I upgraded it it's always crashing and it's annoying because you push it and suddenly crashes ugh it's addicting but in the same time it's not worth the 10 seconds of play and then the ads popping up NO ONE IS GOING TO CHECK OUT THE GAMES

The worst game I've ever played. This game is terrible. Every time the game ends there is a 20 sec add every time and u can't skip the stupid add and it's the same exact add every time then every time u try to move up it either goes left or right I literally deleted the app in less than 2 min 😕😒😡😡😡

Never download this game because if u do u will most likely break ur iPhone ur tv or computer because this is the most enraging game I have ever downloaded and most likely will never download again but if u choose to download this app by all means u may but it was ur choice not mine p.s. Free Life. This app is really fun and addicting but I might delete it because it forces you to follow instagram accounts! I just go back to the game aa soon as it takes me to Instagram because it gives you a free life even if you dont do it and get this you have to do this like every 4 games!! This is stupid

TL;dr wayyyy to many ads. I was trying to figure out how to play the game as the controls are a little confusing l and so I kept dying. However literally every time I died it would force me to watch an un-skippable 30 second ad. In Adirondacks there is an add bar along the bottom. I know the creator wants to make money somehow and it is free but seriously there is so many ads it is in playable.

Pretty good. I would rate it higher if you went without the Instagram pages because not everyone has Instagram. But other than that it's pretty good!

Below average. Games controls aren't good. The video ads after each play-through are annoying and you have to watch the whole thing. I understand one video every like three turns bout every time?! Outrageous. Just play it once I guess but I still wouldn't recommend it.

Do not get this app. I got this app for a younger sibling and he kept wondering why he couldn't play and videos kept coming up. The videos were adds every single time you die a 15-30 second video add comes up and you can't skip them. You spend more time watching adds for "game of war" then actually playing the game itself

I HATE IT😡😡😡. Well first this game is seriously stupid in second there is so many ads and if you accidentally click on one when to go back to the screen to the game The screen is all black and it's frozen this game is so stupid and it's really hard to play so I don't understand why you would get this game in the first place seriously don't get this game.

Worst game ever. I wish I could give 0 stars. First of all this game is terribly programmed and at some points it is even impossible to play. Also there are non-stop ads. And the game is constantly asking you to pay money. To make it even worse you have a limited number of lives, and it is very easy to die.

Pinky is good!. I love pinky and my high score is 15. But I wish there was an option to pay for no advertisements and unlimited lives. Then they would make more money anyways. But I'm not a game designer so they can do what they want I guess.
