Unable to use the app.. Continual "activity time out error" message while trying to set up a new account. I have iPhone 6s plus, so it's not the phone. While attempting to register using a PC, I realized that this product doesn't have a heart rate monitor. Returning the wristband, deleting the app.

Works Great. Synced right away with no crashing. $35 at Aldi. Had little trouble at first getting unit to start but contacted customer support and they got back immediately telling me to press reset button on back. Once that was done, everything lit up and it was ready to go.

Need to register online!!!!. I had the same problem as the other reviews here.... I found that I could register online at the Crane site, and then use that login information in the app. This way you can bypass the register error the app encounters. I have the scale. The app synced with the scale just fine and immediately updated my phone with the info. So it seems to run really well with the scale. That's all I can speak for, no other products. Four stars for the scale/app interface. I took one off for the frustration of having to figure the registration error out on my own...

App fails to load after IOS 9 update.. Still waiting patiently, how soon? It's nearly been a week.

WOW!! AMAZING. I was looking for an app which was unreliable and crashed every time you logged in and boy did this app deliver!! 100%!! The only thing I'd like to see improved is that, sometimes the app actually stayed open for like 3 seconds, I'd much rather like an app that closed faster.(: all in all, if you're looking for an app that doesn't work, this is a great one!!

Where's the sync?. Not happy at all. First off the scale stopped syncing with the app. Customer service...a waste. They couldn't help so apparently they give up and stop trouble shooting. I thought that since it's been awhile since Apple Health had been out that they would add the ability to sync to it. That's a big fat NOPE! One would think that if a company is going to create fitness products that they would want all the details and info they could get out of those products. Such a shame. UPDATE: Just released the new update. Does it have Apple Health sync? No! Have I heard back from support in regard to the scale issue? No! Will I ever purchase another Crane product? No! I did purchase the activity tracker. Funny how it was saying I was walking AND running when I had it laying on our counter top to charge. No it wasn't moving and it said I had walked two miles during the night. This happened every night. I owned it for one week and returned it for a refund. JUNK and HORRIBLE customer service! UPDATE 2: Yet another update and still no opt-in to sync the data with Apple Health. I sent another support email to which I'm still waiting on a reply after three weeks. How hard is it to put customers first?

Love it!. Initially the app crashed. I wrote Crane support, who said the newest version of iOS 9 had to be updated on my iPhone 4S. Worked like a charm! Happy to have an affordable activity tracker.

Last update bad. The last update to fix a supposed bug in the scale now makes the scale not connect with Bluetooth no matter what is tried. I have the version before this upgrade on my iPod and it connects instantly. Please fix so I can go back to using my phone.

Fine, but a few bugs in newest update.. The app works with the the hardware it is supposed to, but the newest update has font issues. The weight on the scale tool can't be read because it is MUCH too big now. It was fine before the update. Other than that, if the app were HealthKit compatible so I didn't have to manually move my data, it would be five stars.

Activity tracker. The activity tracker is working great - on app just remember to swipe!! Needs to be more explanatory but is wonderful!!

Total incompetency. Bought the heart-rate monitor from Aldi on July 11th. The app doesn't work because the website is under construction. Who doesn't have a site for a product up and running before the release of said product. Total fail and almost fraudulent. Go back to business school Crane.

Doesn't share info w/ Apple Health App. I've used this since it came out and still no update to also sharing of data with Apple Health App. WHAT A SHAME! Crane has many tools which could benefit the user greatly if the app would simply SHARE!!! Grade schoolers have it figured out but not this developer!!!

Pairing. Hello, I am new to this and having problems figuring this tracker out. When I try to pair device with my IPad it starts the process then an x appears. Why? I downloaded the app. but I guess it is not working because it is not paired? The Manuel does not explain the steps very well! HELP

iOS 9 Upgrade Causes Crash. As all have been experiencing the iOS 9 upgrade has caused crashes upon startup. If you turn off the Bluetooth it will load and you can see all your data, but of course it's useless. I downloaded the exercise band app from the same developer and that seems to work, it just doesn't have the other built in functions for the scale and other devices.

Epic fail. I think I'm experiencing the same issue as the one other review here. I complete the registration form and click to register and get a never-ending spinning wheel telling me to Wait. I shut down the app and tried logging in the the registration creds and I don't exist in the system. Tried registering again 2 more times changing some input data on the registration form and same thing. Just terrible (was this tested before it was put into production?…I doubt it)

Great product, app could use more detail. I purchased the activity tracker from Aldis and it is a fantastic value. 35$ for what 3 times cost would give me on another brand. Everything worked great out of box. The app works well too. Only thing I would like to be is allow you to drill into the sleep recorded data to within a 5 minute intervals or better, I like to see the times when I wake in middle of night. Right now if you look it is a static chart over a whole period of time. As well other portions of recorded data could be elaborated on more.

HR monitor could have been great. This app could have been really amazing if they just added Apple health kit compatibility. I just want this to go in with all my other apps into Apple health. Please add this capability! The device itself works great. The app is so so. But just adding Apple health would take this to the next level.

Works Well with Activity Tracker. The wristband and the app paired quickly and correctly, and continues to work nearly one week later. My first charge only lasted three days, but it's been another three and is saying the battery's still full. I must not have let it completely charge. The app itself could be more intuitive. I feel like I'm constantly fumbling around to find the data I want. I also wish I could sync the device with the ShapeUp app I use through my company. I've just been transcribing the data from one app to another. I would like to know more about how the device calculates some things, such as calories consumed. I'm not entering anything, yet it is providing me a number. I'm also having some issues with step numbers not being accurate. I'm usually about 500 steps off my old fashioned pedometer by the end of the day with the Crane device registering more steps. Other than these minor issues, I love the device, the price and the app.

Worked great til iOS9 update. Like everyone else is mentioning, the app worked great until Apple's new update. Now the app will open for a short period then crash. I haven't been able to sync since :(

Start up is a pain. So I got this thing at aldis turned it on and it stated no pairing with blue tooth. So ok I download the app. The app states you have to register first. I type in all my info and find that it will not register. Ugh well taking it back is not an option so I found out that you have to register online on their website and not by the app. Ok that was the first problem. Now I went back to the app and logged in. (WOW that took an hour to figure out) Next problem is that the device does not pair on the blue tooth. So yeah I figured out how to hold down the button to get it to pair. But you have to tell it to pair on the watch and the Crainconnect app pair now button at the same time otherwise it does not pair. So I’m writing this so other people don’t have to go through this. What a poor design in the APP. Should just say you must register online. I think the problem may be you’re not a robot feature of the website and it somehow ties into that. Cheers.

Crashing is fixed in iOS 10.3.2. I was also having the crashing problem others reported, but after I updated my phone to iOS 10.3.2 the app works again so I can fairly review it. It's a decent fitness app for the price you pay for the tracker. It doesn't sync with Apple's HealthKit or MyFitnessPal, which I see as big drawbacks. But the tracker is affordable and I think it's a good way to try one out to see if you like it/would use it before investing in a better one.

Waste. UPDATE: I registered at 6:30pm. I contacted support at 11pm. I received an email from support that I can now use the app at 5:30am, never received the automated email with the link for verification. I am NOT purchasing the device, they are terrible I am glad I downloaded the app to check it out before I purchased the device. I registered and have been waiting over 2 hours for a conformation email to verify my account. I have checked junk mail folder as well and verified that I put in my email correctly. I will see if it is there I. The morning, if not I am not buying the device

😩😩😩. App crashes when logging in ! Still works online but i was looking forward to using the app!

My scale does not sync. My scale did not work shortly after using it. I replaced the batteries... Works fine.

Update is making it crash. Usually I would give this a very high rating because it works very well and gives a ton of information, but it is unusable right now because it crashes as soon as I try to open it.

Unusable. I bought the heart rate monitor on July 9th just to see how well it would work if I were to buy it for my mother. Their website is currently under maintenance which renders the app unusable. I returned the device in less than an hour. No point in spending $20 on something that doesn't work out of the box.

Great app.. I had the same initial problem other reviewers had (crashing at login) but after updating to iOS 9, voila it works. App does everything I need it to, connect to my activity monitor, sync, show collected data... Etc. I definitely see potential for future functions added into the app.

App Is Using 4 GB of Storage. I'm on my second Activity Tracker and second iPhone running the app. After about 2 years of use, the app is using just over 4 GB of storage space on my iPhone. Is there any way to reduce this? I am running out of storage space, and only my iTunes library uses more space than this app. Otherwise it works well enough, although syncing the device can be flaky.

Terrible. Don't waste your money on Crane activity wristband. This app doesn't work at all you cannot even register. Apple needs to remove this app until it is working!

crashes all the time.... the devices I connect to for the app work fine, but each time when i try to run the app it crashes on my iPhone 5. so in order to see the results and stats i have to go online using a browser. please fix the problem with the next update! [UPDATE] after my iPhone crashed yesterday, I reinstalled this app and for some it's working now. Strange! Maybe because I didn't allow the app to have my location info from the beginning??? [REQUEST] can you, developers of the app, connect this app to the Health app of Apple?

Works Great!!. I had absolutely no problem syncing my device with my phone. I have not experienced any glitches as of yet; all is running fine so far. I am using the iPhone 6s+ to run this app. One of the videos had a few interruptions, but that was it.

Not good now.. Used for three years with no problems. Then tried to delete stored data. Three years of it and had to delete day at a time. Uninstalled app. Reinstalled. Can not sign in. Could not. Tried reregister and EVERY Email I tried to use the app said that email has been used. Now cannot sign in or re-register??? Heck.

Why does this need my e-mail and password to register?. Very bad choice for "registration". And, after repeated entry of a legitimate e-mail address and real password, it still gives "incorrect address and password" error. It will not register, so I can't access basic functions like changing kg to pounds, etc. Really??

Works! IFFFFF....... You have to put your address and turn on location services. I first tried to do it without turning those on and putting my address in and I could not login online and register. As soon as I turn on location services and put my address in I was able to register and Bluetooth my scale. Once I was able to Bluetooth the scale and it worked perfectly.

Horrible. This is the worst app, ever! Had to contact them for a confirmation email and that took 18 hours from time a signed up. After that when trying to sign in the app crashes every time. Haven't opened it once. If they had a zero star that's what I'd give them! I returned the activity tracker.

Good app. You people that are complaining obviously don't know how to read instructions or use a phone. I'm having no problems with this app. If you know what your doing then this app is great.

APP does not work. I recently got the Crane Bluetooth Heart rate and activity monitor and was quite excited about all that it does. Once I downloaded the app however on my iPhone 5 with a iOS 6.1.4 it crashes immediately! I even deleted and re-downloaded the app, turned my phone off and on with no positive results. What a waste! Fix the app so that we can use what we bought please!

Doesn't honor guarantee. Mine stopped working after 3 months. I sent it back with the dated receipt and guarantee form. I emailed the company when I had not heard from them after a month. They ignored my email.

Good value!. Bought the Crane Activity Tracker at Aldi's on sale for $35, figured it would be an inexpensive way to judge fitness bands. The fitness band works with this app, I'm using it on an iPhone 5 with iOS 9, the Bluetooth sync is quick and easy, the fitness data displays with steps, calories, distance, workout time, and it also tracks sleep, very similar to Fitbit Charge for less than half price, works well enough if you're not sure you want to buy more expensive fitness bands.

Activity tracker. I contacted customer support with the issues I and others had been having with the app not working and device not pairing up. They responded to try to turn off Bluetooth and turn on again and delete and reinstall app. When I told them I had done that multiple times they then said to expect an e-mail with a link to the app in test flight and to let them know if I still experienced an issue. I downloaded app from e-mail and within seconds, my unit paired to my iPad. Their customer service went above and beyond to help me since this unit has a clip also since I can't wear a watch to work. If you are still having issues, I suggest you contact customer service.

Great app need more features. I'm using this app with the crane fitness tracker watch from Aldi. I love it! I would also love the ability to sync with the apple health app.

This app & the scales are crap. I had to rate a star of one simply because it would not let me post a review otherwise. The app is crap! I can not even log into it even though my account has been "verified". The Bluetooth scales that I purchased to use the app are even worse. They will not Bluetooth sync.i even went to the website to try to log in. The site is under construction. I tried to call customer support. It is a standard voicemail. I did send an email in hopes of a response although I am leaning toward very unlikely of receiving one. I would not suggest anyone purchase anything from them.

Great value. Activity Tracker works great including deep sleep tracking and heart rate.

App crashes soon after it is opened. The crash issue started recently. I don't remember when exactly. It's getting worse and worse. This morning I was still able to connect and record my weight. However by evening, it crashed immediately after it was opened. I tried to closed the app, exited the app, power off my iPhone. But none has worked.

So frustrated. I wish I could give this zero stars. I bought the scale in the spring and the app worked great and then it just stopped working in November. I deleted the app and uploaded it again and now it keeps crashing.

It doesn't work like I want it to. My whole family got the watch, and theirs all paired with the watch but my IPad won't work with it it always says "notice" and I click OK and it does nothing. We try again and again but it still does nothing.

Well, it is free after all. Got a scale at Aldi and liked the idea that it was bluetooth and that I would be able to keeps records on my phone. But the app has a lot to be desired as far as usability and functionality. It works well enough but could be so much better, but then what do you want from an inexpensive device and a free app?

App crashes. App crashes before can do anything with it. Tried closing and reopening and reinstalling. Also tried installing it on different devices. Also support page doesn't work. Please fix. (It used to work).

Crashes when trying to sync to web. iOS 9 I suspect. Watch is good but can no longer do a web synchronisation to get workouts onto my cranesportsconnect account. Should be able to access workouts on the watch so we can use a decent tool to manage them such as RK or Strava. Please!!! Also when I tried timing a long walk it didn't last anywhere near the 16hrs :( suggest you only try 10-12hr as max distance unless you're in perfect sight of satellites.

Worked perfectly for me!. Not sure why the other reviewers had problems (inability to follow simple instructions, maybe?) but these scales work just fine! The app downloaded no problem, the set-up was straightforward and the scales connected to my phone without a hitch. Very happy. Only 4 stars because I'm not sure of the accuracy yet, but it is my first day.

Blood Pressure Monitor. I have used the Crane Blood Pressure Monitor for the last 4 or 5 years. But finally got around to downloading the app. To record the history instead of writing down. It was easy to load, set itself up and works just fine. And the history was already there.

Useless. Can't register. When will this be fixed?

Webpage useless. Bought the Diagnostic Scale from Aldi, got the app, it shows my weight in tiny letters, but where do i find all the other measurements like BMI, body fat % etc....went to the Crane Connect website to login, kept getting error msg, and my email to their Support team bounced.....what a dud!

Big waste of time !!. I've never taken the time to review an app before, but this one has made me furious. It WILL NOT let me create an account and if you go to their website to try and create one, it will ask for a username and password. Stay away from these guys...

Crane connect. Fails to connect regularly. Regenerate password requests get promise of email but no email gets sent. Waste of time and money buying crane connect equipment, best to look elsewhere for reliable gear.

Email not received as of yet. Just bought one,to have as a comparison to my other fitness tracker. Have not received the email yet that is said to have been sent 😢. Will rate higher once get email and see how the tracker works out ***UPDATED***I had emailed support and within a few hours a helpful staff member got back to me with a new link to register my account! 2 different countries and time zones! I am loving the easy interaction,and am enjoying comparing the crane activity tracker and having it compliment my other tracker. Going great so far (havnt tried wearing it during dish washing or shower yet)

Blood pressure. FAIL :( How to connect via Bluetooth to iPhone 5 ???

App doesn't function. Bought the scales from Aldi . Downloaded app . Registered . Confirmed . Now every time I connect with the blue tooth two messages come up ; " your account has been removed " or " first connect once to Bluetooth ". I HAVE been connected ! Emailed for help . No reply . Scales going back to Aldi tomorrow for a refund . Too hard !!

Worked fine for me too!. Working well, syncs fine, just have to figure out how to add another User and I'm very pleased with it! Wish it spoke to my Fitbit app but otherwise all good. 😊

Works great but can be improved. I don't know why others give so bad reviews about this app. It works when you follow the instructions. I'm using the scale bought from ALDI and it is pretty accurate. I really wish the app can be linked with Apple HealthKit and it could push all the valuable data into HealthKit so the other apps can utilise the data. I'll give 5 star if HealthKit connectivity is added in the future update.

HORRIBLE. I can't even register for the app, i just bought an analog smart watch, and it won't even work as it is controlled by the app!

App needs a few updates. The gps watch is great , records altitude speed distance time heart rate etc. no problems there. But the app doesn't record all data. It records all but altitude. So when I do hiking I can see my altitude on the watch but when I sync it, altitude doesn't seem to show anywhere on the app. Hope that'll get fixed in an update

Hopeless!. In order to use a device you must register but cannot. Therefor the device and app are unusable. Do you guys test this stuff before releasing to the public. Sadly I am forced to give you even one star.

Crashes every time I open it. This app used to be OK although I always had trouble syncing with the watch. For months now I have not been able to even find the watch so cannot sync at all. Today as I try the app just keeps crashing & closing after a couple of seconds. Can't do anything so the watch is useless!

Very unhappy - still not working. I bought this Bluetooth smart scale from Aldi and made the download, registered but haven't received the confirmation of the registration and cannot login - sent an email to Crane and never got any response, tried to restore the password it didn't let me, I feel stuck with a product that doesn't work as it said and ripped off!

Needs updating. NO UPDATE, NO SUPPORT RESPONSE! FIX IT! There needs to be more options in this app. It gets confused about who is standing on the scale and I have emailed and left a message and nobody has bothered to get back to me. Great when it works. Useless when it doesn’t.

Good app but needs one major thing. I have had no issues with the app, or the scale, they are both good. However I would love to see it linked to Apple Health app as a data source!

Does not work when instructions are followed.. It's not possible to create a user for the Bluetooth Smart Digital scale. The scale does not prompt you to step on it. It makes the scale unusable.

Great Idea needs bug fixes. Very happy with the product (GPS watch) so far. Having real dramas synching the activities conducted with the GPS watch with the app. Every time it goes to synch, the app crashes. The watch has been paired. I have tried reinstalling the app, and repairing with the watch, to no avail. Please fix.

Please add Apple Health Sync. Isn’t it legal requirement to be able to download data held on your servers? Please add Apple Health Sync support. This will benefit a number of users as well and keep your users from upgrading to another brand of scale and fitness companies. Happy to increase rating once you have updated app to Sync with Apple Health to enable exporting of our health data.

Used better. It's ok but one annoying thing is that going into this app stops the music completely and I have to go back into the music app to restart it. Not something I want to be bothered with in the middle of a run.

Works fine for me. I use it to connect to an Activity Tracker purchased at Aldi's. The app does what it advertises and I am relatively happy with its performance. Would be great if it supported HealthKit but I doubt that will happen soon.

No integration with iOS Health App. Nice app that works well with the crane fitness tracker. I don't see where this app integrates automatically with the iOS health app. That is very disappointing!

Diagnostic Scale issues. When a new weight is registered, but within 4.4 lbs of a previously registered weight, it doesn't add it to the chart. It disregards it completely. I want an accurate accounting of my weight loss or gains!! Also, when I delete an old record, it needs to stay gone. I bought the scale in June of 2015 and there's a weight record from 12/14/14. Clearly wasn't me and no matter how many times I delete it, it shows back up.

Long overdue for a rewrite. Been using this for over 8 years. Was an Android user, now iOS. Crashes all the time on both platforms. Especially after any OS update. Crashes when sync. Only solution is to uninstall and reinstall. Have contacted the company and got nowhere. They say that there is no issues on their end. I really like the simplicity of the data and how it’s displayed. Especially the sleep tracking. Have used this with 3 different Crain trackers all sold at Aldi.

Horrible. This app crashes all the time i don't recommend this app at all

Heart rate monitor. App just times out when I try to log in. Can't us my monitor at all.

Update: 9/18/15 Spoke too soon app crashes with the new iso9. I rely on this app, please fix!!! -otherwise it was working great before the iso9 update

Fix the App ASAP. I'm using iPhone 4S and the app keeps crashing. I deleted the app and downloaded it again, and it's still crashing. Please fix the app!

Ripoff. App never sends me back email so I can finish reg. Product of now use with out app. Waste of money.

Crane scale. Purchased this scale on 7/4/2015 and loaded the app on my phone It worked great until 7/7/2015 one message was about a wrong password. I went ahead and requested a new password which also does not work. So disappointed that it won't load just keeps timing out. If you could give me a new password please correct the other issues.
