Support Will Not Follow Up/Provide Relevant Help. Saw a promotion months for an August Food Festival. Existing users invite a friend to the app, and get 5 $1 meals throughout the promotion period after the friend places their first order. Invited a coworker on 8/16, coworker placed first order on 8/19. Coworker received $1 benefit, but I did not. The app’s “help” section explains that you should verify promotions are actually going on in your area, and that your location is set to “current location” in app. I verified both of these criteria, and was still not able to get the $1 benefit. Submitted several support tickets to Ritual explaining the situation. No followups. Sent an email through their website, and received a follow up reply repeating the same information offered in their “help” section, but nothing regarding my specific situation. Absolutely not “helpful”. Tried responding to Ritual’s reply, but received no follow up. Shame, I really wanted to use this app. Appalled by their absolute lack of follow ups for my support tickets, and the irrelevant support I finally received over email.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I downloaded the app today via a promotion supposedly offering one dollar food in downtown St. Louis restaurants. I promptly placed a large order; a $1 Rueben for myself and non-discounted lunches for four executives at my work. The restaurant was unable to except the order through the app. I was notified sometime later via a notification that there was a “problem with my order”. Long story short, we never got our food and the restaurant never got the business. I emailed customer support for this app and got zero apology, zero acceptance of responsibility, and an assurance that my card would be refunded in 5-7 business days. Awful customer service. Thoughtless design - they don’t even give the restaurant any contact info so they can clear problems up. This app made me look really bad in front of my bosses, and they lost trust in my ability to handle getting their lunches on time and correct. Deleted this stupid app from my phone, Who cares about one dollar food when the whole thing doesn’t even work?

Customer service non-existent. I’ve used Ritual for a couple of years for coffee shop orders and found it prettt good for the most part. Unfortunately I recently placed a restaurant dinner order, which I picked up, which was made incorrectly and didn’t match the menu description. I filed a complaint through the app and received an email that CS had received my message and would be in touch. But after two days there has been no response. I replied to the email and no response there either. Much better CS with the larger delivery apps. I probably won’t be using Ritual much anymore. UPDATE: After 4 days Customer Service contacted me to offer a $5 coupon to the same restaurant where I had a terrible experience. Unbelievable.

Mediocre service by restaurants in their Network. While the intention of the app is good; to make meal options available at click of few buttons and remove wait time, I have constantly experienced issues with restaurants they have tied up with. On ordering via this app either the quantity is too less, or they miss adding some ingredients and in worst cases they give last priority to preparing your order. The time you save in not waiting is spent in writing down complains and not to forget it spoils your lunches as well.

Great app but time limit to leave review is ridiculous. Love the app and have discovered a lot of new places to eat, however, it doesn't make sense that there's a time limit to leave reviews for restaurants. Have had a few bad experiences in pickup and wanted to leave comments, but I can't find the option to leave a review after approximately an hr or so has passed. Makes no sense. What if my order was delayed, or have a meeting and can't leave a review until later? Please fix this. Also do not see an option anywhere to submit feedback within the app. It's like ritual doesn't want to listen to user feedback and improve the app. Huge oversights on super obvious and simple improvements that could be made.

Not as good as before. I joined in March. I enjoyed at the beginning so I invited 10+ friends to join too. At that time, invited friends getting points were so easy. Recently, it was getting harder and harder. Always stating I got duplicated account. So, I didn’t get the $1 meal promotion; my friends neither. Sooo many emails back and forward, I only got the invitation points. Also, in the past, if I found out the “menu price error”, I would get points as quick as an hr later. Right now, up to a wk, no reply. I sent followup emails, sometimes I got no answer; sometimes I got “funny” excuses: 1) the restaurant is not in Ritual’s app! (But, it is, the restaurant IS in your app); 2) that price different is under our investigation (but, few days later, no one corrected it). ...... They just don’t want to give you the promotion points as they promised. The app is just not as good as before.

Saving me money and a pleasure to use. I was hesitant at first when I saw another mobile app for ordering food as the market is pretty saturated. I tried Ritual anyway because of the $1 “food festival” and now I’m hooked. Discovery and browsing are sometimes difficult but the design and usability of the ordering process is top notch. What’s keeps me using the app, however, are the promos and loyalty rewards. It also seems like Ritual spends a lot of time on marketing and merchant integration. They popped up out of no where in Philly and now they have a mini kiosk at tons of restaurants. The experience using Ritual seems more streamlined than some of its competitors. Looking forward to seeing what they do to keep users in their app as this space is getting very competitive.

I love the rewards. With lunch being expensive in NYC....I love the rewards of getting free food🤗 I have been using this app for some months and I have recommended to so many people. I appreciate that when I have complained Ritual makes it all good 🤗 I have had 2-3 bad experiences that wasn’t Rituals fault. I feel that if people report incorrect menus and inform Ritual of places not having orders ready that it will help out with the service that we receive from the restaurants. I highly recommend to build up on your rewards 🤗 it’s so worth it😊

Must-have if you want in downtown LA. I love this app! It really helps me maximize my lunch break by cutting out long waits. The only thing I would add is an “eating in” option. I often order through ritual before I leave my office and then sit down to eat where I picked up my food. But then there so much wasted food packaging. I’ll forget to write the in the special instructions. The best way to do this would be a simple clickable box - “pack for carry out” or “eating in.”

Skip the place now option please. Love the app, but can we take away place now option and just expedite straight to confirmed order, I often am in such a hurry in the am that I don’t click the place now, therefore defeating the purpose of ordering ahead. Also what’s the point of remember my choice option, when it never does...

An outlier!. Disclaimer, I’m generally too cheap too use all the various food delivery apps. More often than not the order is wrong and no one takes responsibility. Those apps always feel sleazy too because the prices are inflated and then your asked to tip before receiving service. Before I signed up for Ritual I checked the business model and it seems to be subscription based rather than commission based. Ritual prices are supposed to match in store, this all feels more honest and fair to me. After using for a few weeks there’s a lot to love, fairly accurate order ready times and walk time estimations. They also have rewards programs that incentivize trying something new. It’s not just value, but ease! Ritual makes it easy to place that first order with a new restaurant, no google, no janky website menu...needless to say, I keep using it! Although, I do wish custom tipping options were available, often times it’s only 10, 15, 20%.

Super annoying. I get a coffee from my favorite coffee shop almost every day. Unfortunate, this is the app they picked to use. There is this pop-up box that says “you’re too far away” that pops up every time I order and if you don’t take several steps to check boxes and dismiss each and every time, your order isn’t processed. There is an option to “remember my preference” but yeah, that doesn’t work. It’s pretty lame that it bothers me enough to write to Ritual customer service… but I did. A few times. And got not response. Ever. So now my poor coffee shop is getting the complaints from everyone. Hoping they switch to a different app soon. ☕️

Beware of referring others, SCAM. I used to love this app, I referred more than 10 employees, family, and friends, and used it often to purchase food for myself because of the convenience. I helped my parents create accounts and saved the credit card we all share together. My parents somehow got blocked out of participating in the specials ritual was offering. I myself had my account permanently deleted because I was apparently violating their standards. I told them this is a mistake and they were so cold in their email mentioning I abused their app? They banned now myself, my parents, and even my friends to use their app and website. They think I conspired to make multiple accounts and I am not sure why. This is a terrible terrible app and the customer service is horrible. The ritual app should just terminate the “refer a friend and earn” because every time you do they think you are creating multiple accounts then block you from using the app.

Signing up had hiccups but sticking w/ it has been good. When I signed up via a link texted from my regular coffee, the link wasn’t a link and didn’t work. I eventually (I assume through resending because the system saw I hadn’t signed up) I got a proper link and signed up. Didn’t receive the $10 credit I was supposed to get but when I got the follow up welcome email I responded and Robert was great about getting me the proper credit and being open to my feedback. As a result I kept using the app and its worth it just for the mobile order option I otherwise wouldn’t have for the place I usually stop. I’m curious to see how point redemption goes. That combined with the starting issues led to my 4 star review.

Convenient!. LOVE this app. At the time of download, you receive a $10 credit for your orders. Luckily where I work there are plenty of options to choose from. It also has the option to sign up with the place you work at and you can see which of your coworkers are also on the app; this is convenient because it also offers an option where you can offer to pick up their order from the same place you ordered at. Also love that I am able to pay with Apple Pay because there are times I don’t feel like carrying my wallet.

Tech issues preventing my order. I created an account and have yet to make an order despite my best efforts for a couple reasons. First, every time a click on an item to order it, I get stuck in a perpetual loading screen, and I have yet to get passed it. I’ve tried multiple restaurants, updated the app and attempted on multiple days. Same issue every time. Additionally, each time I go to a new screen I get the exact same Ritual Rewards pop up that I have to click out of, which is extremely annoying. I like the concept for the app, but because I can’t use it due to technical issues it’s getting deleted.

Prices don’t match in store & they don’t fix. I’ve reported incorrect prices many, many times with pictures of the menus. Ritual does not fix the issue yet they market themselves as having in store prices. Not only that but their points in the promotions often don’t work (e.g. write this word in the box for “special requests” to get an extra 2,000 points—oh, but there is no special request box). When they came out years ago, I really liked they app, but now I feel like they’re deceptive and the points are worth so little. Don’t use Ritual; support restaurants by ordering from them directly. —— Re: Developer Response - This is an empty reply. I have already reached out to customer service about these issues multiple times. Customer service hasn’t fixed them. Why would I keep wasting my time?

Ritual has improved since its inception. I’ve been using Ritual on and off for a couple of years now. Their rewards system has improved greatly. There are still a couple of things that I feel they could improve upon: 1) Being environment conscious, I try to note for my orders to not include disposable utensils if I’m going to eat it at home. However, there isn’t an option (like on Grubhub) for me to click to automatically add that note. 2) There is still one shop on my feed that still has the wrong address, The Coffee Pot (still displays their address as 51st Street and 9th Avenue, but I think they’ve moved, and Kahve is there now).

Solid app and service with an annoying flaw. Solid app that’s generally easy to use. The service itself is also now indispensable. The main issue I have is with quick re-ordering from history. This interface is really bad. You can’t see the customizations because there isn’t enough room for the text. Also, you can’t remove orders from this history, so as I tweak my order over time, the interface becomes cluttered with previous unwanted orders with no way to understand what they are and no way to delete them. I really hope they clean up these re-ordering issues and make the app much better.

Less good than Qdoba app. I downloaded this app while picking up a Qdoba order that I had placed through the website. Figured it was worth a go. Tried it today to place a Qdoba order, wanting a chicken quesadilla. Well, they have a radio button for sauce. Meaning you have to have exactly one sauce on your quesadilla, with no option for “no sauce”. I have never seen a quesadilla with sauce. Same deal for salsa: you must have exactly one. Perhaps this is an example of early days hiccups, but my verdict is that Ritual is not ready for prime time. I’m going to stick with the Qdoba app. I get rewards that way too!

Customer Service has gone down the tubes!!. Their customer service has gone to the pits. Someone by the name of Nikki refuses to help even when you are using Ritual to order and the restaurant has limitations on what they can do once an order has been processed. To top it off, I have had 3 places in the last week either have no clue as to what Ritual was or what was ordered or Ritual has allowed something to be ordered which is not even on the restaurant’s menu. It is really shady and huge pain when you go all the way to pick up and find out the restaurant has never heard of Ritual. They seriously need to get someone else in customer service before they get into some huge troubles

No way to leave feedback in app. Since there’s no way to provide feedback within the app, I guess I need to leave a review. I wanted to raise an issue about the Auto-Place order feature. After using it, I think it’s completely useless and should be removed immediately. My assumption when using it is that since I’m far away, the order will be placed at the exact time so that way it’s ready when I arrive. So I started heading there right away, but on the way got a notification that my food would be ready 5 minutes after I arrived. What’s the point of the auto order then? If I had placed it immediately I still could have waited a few minutes before leaving and made it there at the perfect time.

Misleading and dishonest. Referred my brother for the $1 dollar food fest so that we could check out new places around town. I did not get access to the promotion, or even the referral bonus. Only got my referral bonus after I submitted my first issue claim with them. And even after that, they did not register that I had referred my brother during the food fest. So I filed another claim specifically referencing their food festival, which they finally addressed days after the promotion ended by saying they were “experiencing higher volume”. Great, so they have the time to fix the first issue but no time to even send a quick mass email to everyone with the second problem? To top it off, they had previously advertised the food festival ALL OVER their app but so conveniently removed it sometime in the middle of the week it was OCCURRING, even though I had used the food festival referral link earlier that week to recommend my brother. Shady much. Yo, if you are even going to try at customer service, you should at least make it up to the people who wasted time referring people but missed out on the food fest when your app failed to acknowledge referrals and “conveniently” dropped all ads on the food festival. Or at least come up with a less lame excuse than “we had too much volume”

Inconvenient and complicated. Deleted!. I live in nyc and I frequently use apps for purchasing at Starbucks, Gregory’s coffee, Pret etc.. but let me tell you... this app is complicated than just pay and go. Unclear if pastries etc stocked at a cafe are updated so Im not going to purchase something ahead of time if I cant see what’s actually in stock. Also uploading my work/company info etc seems invasive and unnecessary. delete and goodbye. I’ll stick to my Starbucks app and others.

Bad faith company. I was referred by a coworker and has referred a few other people when they had $1 eats that week. Fast forward, they sent me an incentivized survey saying I would be credited x amount of points within 24 hours if I responded to the survey within a time period and I responded right away. A week later, nothing. I replied to the email, which looked like it was a person, asking for the points. It went to the black hole. From my experience, this company is not a reputable company and it will never be one unless they put someone with a brain in their IT or in their senior management. They lie to get more information out of you. I admit I was sucker at browny points. When I give out my information, I expect the browny points as promised. If you do not honor your promise, you will not be around for too long as there are many competitors out there. Bad business strategy.

Advertised promo does not work. No help from support team.. Ritual is currently advertising $1 Food Festival. The rules seem straightforward. You refer a friend, the friend makes a purchase, you get five $1 lunches. Simple? Not really. In reality, you do NOT get $1 lunches. I am in one of the cities that participate in the $1 Food Festival. Accordingly to the Ritual app, there are 10+ participating restaurants near me. My friend made a purchase and I still do not see any $1 options. Sent multiple emails to the support team. Instead of resolving the issue, they keep copying “no offers available in your nearby proximity” response. This is not a true statement based on their own app. They also refuse to give a name of ANY participating restaurant within the entire city. So either the support team is totally incompetent or the promo campaign is falsely advertised. Either way, Ritual gets referrals, you get nothing. Update based on the developer response. I am smart enough to search for DOLLARFEST. The app shows many restaurants nearby. No $1 offers in any of them when I click on a restaurant. My friend did not get $1 offers either.

Good app for what you get. Interface is pretty easy to use. Can sometimes be confusing to find perks. I have on multiple occasions not seen a restaurant when searching perks but then saw one had a perk when I manually searched that specific restaurant. The dollar-fest is initially why I downloaded and it really can’t be beat. $1 for lunch at places all week has been great. I do appreciate the rewards program is for a variety of restaurants instead of having to download an app for each different place that might have a rewards program.

Invasion of privacy what a joke. Now Ritual wants to force me to access my location in order to use the application I’ve been using for a year. I’ll be sure to let the food retailers how horrible Ritual’s business practices are. Won’t use this application again. Not sure what’s worse Apple not putting reviews in chronological order and the most recent not showing on first screen in App Store or Rituals data mining. Both seem pretty bad and very disappointed the Apple would conduct themselves this way. Tech companies definitely need a wake up call. Response to developer. So are you saying that Ritual was gathering my location without asking permission of the user. I had my location for this app shut off and unless Apple was allowing you to bypass which then there are bigger issues at hand. What your implying is that since the update to your app you have changed the way the location services are shown to consumers. Either turn on your location or don’t use the app. In the past you just accessed the location of users ? And Please stop with the patronizing responses as if people can’t figure out how long it takes to get to a restaurant.

Great concept that doesn’t work. I have tried to use this app several times. Problem is I can never order from the places I want to eat because they are in “high demand”. In the time I need to constantly check the app to see if the they can process my order, I can walk there and order in person. Another problem, if I just walk there I can’t take advantage of the rewards or special offers. Last but not least, I tried to contact the App directly to voice my concern and could not find a way to contact them, so my only way of reaching out is to leave a sub-par review, which I hate doing. It’s a bummer cause I would use this App.

Used for about a Year or so.. I have been using Ritual for quite a while. Maybe over a year. I LOVE it. For several reasons. In the beginning, I really loved the lower priced promo meals. But as time went on, the less often they appeared. As a college student, eating some great and healthy meals at a nice price were a life saver. When I stopped getting less of those promo meals, I thought I’d hate it afterwards. But it comes in real handy when I forget my wallet. Which is something I often do. Using Apple Pay through this app is a blessing because most restaurants aren’t equipped for it. I’m just gonna throw out an idea with maybe partnering with local college meal programs or if we sign up with our school emails to get like 10% off or something. That’s be nice. Just saying. Overall, I 100% recommend. Just can’t wait for more restaurants to appear (:

False deals. When you order from a place ritual will multiply your points by 20 if you order from there again within a week. I have just realized that they have only been giving me 10x the points instead of 20. I spend my money on places because I will be getting my points multiplied by 20. I ordered something that was 124 pints originally, and I have noticed that the number “multiplied by 20” is 1,240. I have not been paying attention to that, and now I have realized that ritual is NOT giving you the points that they say you will receive. I could have been getting 2,480 points for an ENTIRE YEAR. But I have been deprived of these points and I am very disappointed in their system. They are not truthful to their deals and that means that their system is either messed up, or what I think is they are scamming you. I would like to have the points that I have not received in the past year, thank you. Please respond to me ritual!!

Easy to use interface. Awesome concept. I've used Ritual several times now and besides the growing list of restaurants and coffee shops is the way you can crowd source deliveries. You can earn credits by having people in your building or office place an order and the same restaurant your heading to. You're already going to pick up food and you get points for future purchases when you bring back other people's orders! How cool is that!? But you can always decline to bring orders back. I'll recommend this for people working in large cities or buildings.

Great app but.... I love the convenience of this app and the available discounts. I do recommend this app, however, some restaurants simply ruin it because they either don’t have the order ready even when the app says “ready for pick up”, or it says “closed/unavailable” when I can physically see the restaurant is open. The restaurants that sign up should be held accountable for some of these issues but the app itself is great.

Ritual’s Da Bomb!. I’m not a big app person but I love this app! It makes ordering and pick ups so easy and streamlined, you get exposed to some good restaurants and food options you may have otherwise overlooked and you get perks for using the app too! Only draw backs are that there is no live person to call if a problem arises (but their online support is really good and responds quickly so not a huge deal) and there could be a bit more explanation/definitions given on the mobile app and their website for the different deal types offered, but other than that, this app is so great and it’s been pretty addictive for me to use!

No Customer Support Among Other Issues. I’ve used the app four times and today was the last. I accidentally placed an order and immediately asked to cancel. Ritual asked me to call the restaurant to cancel which I did, but the restaurant told me Ritual had to cancel the order. Now the order shows picked up and I was charged. It doesn’t take much to have a working response team to assist with these types of issues. On top of that, the prices on the ritual App are higher than the listed prices at their restaurants. I’d rather order with the restaurant and skip this app. If you’re on the fence about this App do yourself a favor and don’t download

They removed the $5 off first taste perk! :(. The $5 off to try places for the first time was awesome and I have found myself walking to food spots up to a mile away just to get the benefit. Now they have replaced $5 with 2,000 points, which is only equivalent to $2. They claim “this is to make it easier to get to 10,000 points to get $10 enjoy! :)” which is complete BS. Not a chance will I fork out to eat at 5 new places for this measly “perk”. Manhattan Ritual orders are expensive! I might use the app in the future some time but they have surely lost me as a regular customer. I have also had it with the constant bombardment of useless points notifications they send per day so I’ve now turned off location and notifications. They were sufferable when perks were good but now this app is just another food ordering app.

Used to be better. There have been a lot of changes lately. It used to be fairly easy to get discounts on food and earn points. Now the points you earn are hardly worth it. The way the math works is 5,000 points = $5 off, but for each dollar you spend you only get 10 points, so you need to spend $500 to get $5 off meaning it’s a 1% reward which is just not worth it. There also used to be an ability to use points for discounts, which you can no longer do. I used to be a daily user of this app, but now I will just go directly to each restaurants website to order and take advantage of their loyalty program. Also the website is just terrible. I know this rating is for the app, but I use the website also because I don’t get good service in my office building.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I don’t write reviews but I’ve never dealt with such incompetent people making outright accusations all because they don’t want to fix their issues and honor and rectify a situation especially as a new and growing business. I really thought it was a clever idea as I work in the heart of Seattle. Then I referred a friend as I would receive a bonus. It never came. A pain but I submitted an issue for it. Ritual’s response: you’re already a user so you don’t qualify. Of course I’m a user. That’s the point. My friend signs up with my referral link. So I had to resubmit. This same Ritual person, says I registered with the same account, and saying that my friend and I were one and the same!!! Sooooo needless to say he and both won’t be using the app and we both will not be recommending this app to anyone. In addition, I used my coworkers referral link and she nor I got the bonus either and she is having the same issue, as well. We understood the kinks but the handling of the situation was worth the effort to let others know to avoid this company.

No, you don’t need our location. The worst feature of Ritual is that it forces you to turn on your location service, otherwise you cannot use it. What does Ritual think it is? Uber? Google Map? Let’s look at the reason Ritual gave me: “Your location is required to show you spots nearby and ensure your order is ready when you arrive”. “Ritual links you to places that are close to your active location. This allows us to load all the restaurants available in your neighbourhood with the estimated time that it takes to reach your destination.” Yeah, right. Like you can’t decide my location if I type my exact location to you. Ritual support is useless, as they keep repeating this non-reason with rephrased differently. Please, if you had to use our location, at least be honest and tell us the true reason why you are gathering this data. This way you can at least earn yourself some respect. Again, NO, you do NOT need my location to provide service. There are plenty of good alternatives to Ritual, so, bye.

Horrible Customer Service. I used to love this app, referred 7 employees to it and used it to retrieve food for my boss due to the convenience. I tried to make a personal account on my personal phone for myself and got booted out of participating in the $1 food fest for apparently violating their standards. I wrote to them that this is a mistake cause the other account is for my boss, they took days to get back to me and didn’t resolve the issue, just kept saying I violated the terms of the app. Since I wanted to participate in the $1 food fest, I then referred another employee and he placed an order, which according to Ritual’s website, allows you to participate. But no, they banned me from that too even though their website literally states this is your ticket in. They keep holding onto this stupid conspiracy that I’m making multiple accounts which is stupid cause what purpose would that even serve? I’ve emailed and DM-Ed them countless times and just crickets after accusing me of stupid behavior. Horrible app that doesn’t care about a company that has spent thousands of dollars.

Best app for deals and to discover new spots. I work near Penn Station and for lunch I was in a rut, going to the same places in an area that can feel like a pricey food desert. Ritual really made it easy to discover new places and new dishes. As a bonus, I signed up during their restaurant week so I got some amazing deals on top of their regular deals. Plus, it feels good going in to a place and knowing your food is waiting for you. On the rare occasion my order got messed up, customer service was really kind and was quick to get back to me. The only downside is that most of the restaurants are in certain parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn. I hope they expand.

No customer service, no way to return money for the order. Initially I was quite happy about this app. Normally it saves you 1-2 minutes per order. Today I spent 30 minutes waiting for order which app said is ready. When I tried to cancel and return money for the order in the app - nothing happened. I am really disappointed - basically the app do not know when something is ready, they do not care that you do not have your food or you had a poor experience. It doesn’t save your time and your food will NOT be warm unless you wait inside the restaurant (but in this case you do not save your time).

This app is pretty cool. Five stars for the idea, Five stars for the UI, Five stars for the service. Ritual offers services to pick up from a lot of restaurants and makes ordering simple and easy. Make sure to verify the order at store. It happens to sometimes that the store gets me an wrong one. But then, if you report that to ritual they would issue and refund and take necessary steps to not repeat the issue.

Hands down the best. I have been using an iPhone since the 3 and this app is without question the best app I have ever used. Apps have come a long way technologically, but just having better processing power and “bells and whistles” doesn’t necessarily make a good app. Ritual blows everything out of the water. Intuitive, informative, tons of quality businesses to choose from (including finding new ones), rewards program, extremely visually appealing. I cannot say enough. Kudos to the company and developers.

The Food Ordering App That Shares The Wealth. Unlike all the other food ordering apps out there, this one actually respects your time and appreciates your business. Ritual has a very responsive and informative progress reporting system that keeps you updated on the status of your order. It will tell you exactly when to leave to pick up your order, so that you don’t end up waiting around for your food. And even more impressive, Ritual has a really awesome point rewards system which rewards you every time you place an order, pick up an order for a co-worker, write a restaurant review, or invite a co-worker to join the app. All of these reward points add up to actual dollars which you can use to make purchases. I’ve gotten many literal free lunches from this app, because Ritual actually makes it worth your time to use it. Which is just the way things should be 👍

Terrible Customer Support. I downloaded the Ritual app because there was a promotion going on in my city that I wanted to access. After forgetting my password, I clicked the “forgot my password” link, expecting a link to be sent to me immediately afterward. However, I got a text message saying that a password reset email had been sent to my email account on file. After going to my email and waiting for over an hour, it never appeared. I then reached out to customer support and have been emailing back and forth with them for 4 hours (mostly a one way conversation; I guess they must have so many complaints coming in that they don’t have time for me). Now, 4 hours and 25 emails later, the issue is nowhere near being resolved and the support team has completely stopped responding to me. I’m hoping that this will catch their attention and make them realize that small issues can snowball into larger problems for their company. If you want to have satisfied customers, then maybe you should take the time to actually address their concerns.

Regular Ritual User. I use ritual almost everyday for lunch. I work in the city and it’s great for finding new restaurants, trying something different everyday, and finding good deals. They offer many deals/discounts and give you points which allows for more. My hope is that they will just continue to add more restaurants to their list and offer special promos. I almost always write a review for the restaurant I ate at on ritual, it would be nice if I could see other ritual reviews on the app when I’m looking at different restaurants.

Time Saver. I like the Ritual app. Perfect for optimizing your lunch time. A few features that could use updating: 1. Real time updates, it seems like the app estimates how long an order will take but my food is always ready and waiting before the app says it is. 2. More Pictures. I eat with my eyes and typically have to go to yelp or elsewhere to actually see what I’m trying to order. Many of these companies have pictures on other food ordering services so would be helpful here as well

This app spends so much time “driving engagement” it almost forgets to actually order food. This app receives -2⭐️ for heavily abusing push notifications and -1⭐️ simply for being annoying. Get ready to for your lunch break to be gamified! This is what happens when Silicon Valley marketroids get their claws into your daily lunch. Practically every button you press or screen you view contains prominent buttons advertising how many points you can get for spamming your friends. It doesn’t stop there. The app routinely spams you with notifications. If you turn off notifications, it’ll beg you to turn them back on. It constantly monitors your location causing the clock to spastically turn blue every couple of seconds. It utterly spams you with pointless emails every day. It spends so much effort “driving engagement” that it can be a chore actually ordering food. Fortunately, the actual process of ordering food isn’t too bad. It lacks some options for customizing food items, but it works well enough for my needs.

Poor customer service- Won’t honor referral credits. I had signed up for Ritual during their $1 promotion and thought it was great to use. When the next $1 promotion came around, I told my bf and suggested he try it. I referred him, that way I would be eligible for the new round of dollarfest as well (existing users must refer new users in order to utilize dollarfest promotion). He signed up and ordered his first meal, but I never received my reward. Emailed customer service that gave me random excuses, then finally said it’s bc they thought I was creating multiple accounts. I said that might be because me and my bf share a credit card but guaranteed I was not creating multiple accounts myself to benefit off of the rewards. They never responded, I never got the promotion. He also never got the rewards for being a first time user.

Glitchy app with terrible customer service. The second time I ordered via app my order stayed as ‘pending’ for 15 mins after charging my Amex card. I decided to walk to restaurant to collect my order regardless. Restaurant claimed no order was received by me or credited to them from app. I then cancelled my order on the ‘frozen’ ‘pending’ ritual app page and paid again for order to restaurant directly. When I lodged complaint and refund of $13 to ritual for the order I never received, they asked for my phone records to restaurant to prove I had ordered with them directly, then they accused me of cancelling my own order on app by mistake and wanted copies of my cc transactions... which I gave. Ritual have still not credited me for a mere $13 for their screw up of an order that never went to restaurant and keep trying to justify their errors by making their mistakes mine! This tech start up won’t last long. Epic fail. Returning to reliable Hey You app instead :)

No Re-order button… even though it’s called Ritual. Ritual means to do something over and over again however this app is missing the one piece of its namesake How about a button just to re-order your coffee from yesterday and the day before and the day before that

Awesome. Love this app. You get really great discounts all over the city and has got me out of my comfort zone of eating the same things all the time. I recommend it to all my friends.

Amazing!!!. Hi guys, the app is amazing for those who work in CDB area. More options of places are needed for other areas :) Pleeeeeeease expand your business to Brisbane and Melbourne (Australia).

Great App. Until now this has been one of the most used app in my phone. The app is smooth and easy to use UI. 100% recommended.

Awesome. Great app, love the functions like it warns you that you’re Far from the shop so you’re not accidentally ordering from the wrong place, did that once and gives you time to cancel an order which I love. I would add a favorite folder and last reorder other than that awesome

Cancellation. Cancelling the order before check out should be made easy. Right now it is not

Great app experience. Love using the app! It’s a smooth experience with great features. Even the pick-up description I got by sms was really helpful. Very thought trough.

WARNING!!!! RIP OFFFF. There was $1 deal going on in my area, when I ordered it showed me that I will be charge $1 only however, I got charged full price of $20 and when I flagged with their support team they told me that I have violated their terms and conditions so they will deactivate my account which had credit for referring other people and ordering other food. So if you care about your money do not download this app as one day you will end up like me paying extra money. I will never recommend anyone to download this app. 😡

Bacon and Egg Wrap. Wrap was hot, delicious and I only paid $2 Could have been larger considering it’s $7 if you pay the full price.

Cool food app. A very cool app to find the choice of your food around you which you can order at a discounted price. A SMS will be sent to your mobile when the food is ready for you to pick up. No queues, no Time wastage. Love the app.

Peak hours slow the app. Good but the app can be a bit slow and unresponsive during peak hours

No Way to Contact Company. The app works well and is relatively easy to use. If something goes wrong, you can contact the company although you have to go through a few steps in the app to find it (updated following developer response and a star added to rating). A simple feedback link would be nice. I look forward to using it again in the future.

Looking for more offers and new restaurants. Looking for good offers initially on the start we received some nice offers and later these days it has gone down with less offers...

Great idea. This is great I hope it starts all around Sydney or at least in the shopping centres to begin with

Ripp off. I’m ordering food and it gives me an error. So I just went somewhere else to get food. All of the sudden it decided to go through after half an hourrr! And I’m calling them for like half an hour . There is noooo one answering the calls. This is called technologically ripping people off. I’m waiting to get my 13 dollars back or i keep telling everyone about this!

Cannot access my account. I’ve been using this app several times a day for months but now I’m logged out It recognises my phone number however every time I enter my email it says we’ve encountered a problem. I have many email receipts from ritual and the only way I can get support is through the app that I cannot access. I was loving this app up until now. Would really like some help logging back into my account please. Update a week later I can log in again. Good customer service

Limited to no useful functionality. Downloaded app, set it up and found nearly none of the venues, cafes, takeaway, and restaurants I frequent were on the app. If the selection is limited the app is useless. If the BDM is so reaching out and expanding the network of commercial business being listed in the app then the app is useless. Uninstalled.

Absolutely worst customer service you will ever experience. I’ve had an account issue for YEARS. My account has been locked out, there is no number to call, I sometimes get generic cop pasted responses months later. I have money stuck on the account which they don’t seem to care about. I’ve honestly never experienced such a frustrating and disappointing process from an app like this. Avoid.

Useful. Avoids the queue, and delays. Rewards rack up quickly too. App is easy to use once set up and saves favourite locations and orders.

Restaurants will routinely lose the orders. 1 out of every 3 times I use this app the place I ordered from will lose the order. I powered through this to get to 10,000 points ($10 credit) but because there is some sort of promotion on I am unable to use those credits I earned by spending money. Would not recommend.

Love the convenience but.... Seriously, 10,000 points before I can claim a free coffee? That means I have to buy around 50 coffees before I get a free one. I love the convenience I the app but I get better rewards with my simple loyalty cards. U was hoping this would replace the need to carry around multiple loyalty cards with me, but unfortunately it doesn’t.

Best rewards. Top app. Easy to use and the rewards are the best for any food company. Ive recommended this app to all friends and family

Easy to use. Nice interface and easy to use. I liked the intro deal with the free points. I found my now favourite cafe with this app

Surprisingly enjoying Ritual. I’m not into apps and definitely not comfortable with online purchase but Ritual proved me wrong. The best thing is a very very simple app and clear on payments with no strings attached. Loving it so far...hoping it keeps getting better

Easy and Stable. Hassle free to register.. great with location service which will auto place when I am close by.. love the ability to say extra hot for my coffee which I haven’t seen in many other apps

Love it!!. They made it so easy for us to use it. I order my lunch before I go on my break and I just go to the cafe to pick it up and it’s already waiting for me. Love it and I use it everyday

Fantastic app.. It’s a great app. Faster, easy. Just beating the que everyday and saving lots of time. Thank you for giving the great app.

Much better than other order ahead apps. Finally, an app with real rewards. I really enjoy using Ritual. They seem to be more customer service orientated.

I like it. I really like the ideas and concepts used in the app. The only complain I have is the wrong distance display. It always says 1-3 minutes away and I end up walking 10 mins 😛

App says Ritual is unavailable at this time. After I downloaded and started browsing on the app, App continues to say Ritual is unavailable at this time. Other team members can access the app. Tried to restart app and phone but still doesn’t work.

Clunky. Clunky app, referral bonus / promotion never seems to work which is disappointing. Good for ordering when it does work.

Wonderful App. Such an amazing App with so many different options to choose from and so many offers to avail.

Works well. The app works well and I get to try new places that are close to my new work place.

Used to be amazing. Was an awesome app until they took away the $5 off offers. You could use minimal points to get a fiver off your meal. Now I earn the points to get a bit of money off every few weeks

When unresponsive places multiple orders. When the app is unreponsive it can end up making multiple orders (like the old days when you should touch your browser making credit card transactions). Pay very close attention to the amount listed when authorising apple pay since you might not know its bundled many orders together... very unimpressed. The only feedback it has goes to the restaurants too which isnt their fault - the error was with the app which has no internal feedback mechanism that goes to them. ‘Help’ on an order has no options to report a bug about how ritual processed the order - its all about punishing a restaurant want it doesnt look their fault at all. Use an alternative if you can.

Interaction. Loving the idea to have “piggy back”, it allows us to earn points and at the same time have interactions with colleagues/friends. Awesome idea

Poor restaurant support. I have no problem with Ritual. Unfortunately, I've had many problems with restaurants not using the platform as intended. Restaurants that auto-accept orders when they are closed. Restaurants that don't bother checking Ritual because they have enough in-person business. Restaurants that accept orders then later decline them because they have enough in-person business. And frankly, when this happens to you and you're already hungry, the anger is intensified.

Great customer service every time. I’ve used Ritual on and off for years to save waiting for coffee/lunch for up to 20 mins when I’m in the office (CBD). Every time I flag a usually small error in the cafe/restaurant listing the team are very prompt to reply and investigate and look to fix the error. Keep up the great customer service and I hope to keep using your app for the long time!

Less & less. I like the convenience of the app but the rewards have got less & less so the novelty has worn off a bit.

Chat Functionality. I personally enjoy using the app with my colleagues. Makes ordering and pickups a lot easier. I just wish there was functionality to chat amongst your “team” when ordering.

Very good app. It becomes very convenient to order with this app. It helps me skip the line and also offers very good deals.

Great interface and very generous. In my opinion, this is the best food ordering app. They have the best deals, are generous with rewards and have the best interface. Great experience!!!!

Great food, great choices and no waiting. Love this app! I can order what I want and don’t have to wait when I go and collect it. Great food and coffee from every place I have tried. Great prices too and a good way to save!

Time saver. I love being able to order my lunch or morning smoothie ahead of time, so I don’t have to wait. Very efficient.

Lunch Offer Didn’t Work. I tried to use the app for the first time by getting the Lunch for $1 deal, yet when I pressed to Check Out, it said my account wasn’t eligible for this deal and no longer shows the $1 lunch deal. I checked the Help but there was no assistance or anywhere to leave feedback for issues. No impressed with this issue as this is my first time using the app.

Super convenient. I order on the train and swing by a cafe to pick up my breakfast on my way to work. So good!

Ritual is to the Best. I’ve been using Ritual app from beginning of 2019. Its awesome. Always have lot of offers and have variety of foods.

Detailed app. Seamless and easy ordering. Have not had any issues with using the app or picking up my orders. Recommended!!

Dollarfest was amazing!!. I downloaded Ritual to take advantage of the Dollarfest and - wow! Was really impressed at being able to purchase lunch each day for a mere $1. Huge range to choose from and food was very fresh and excellent quality.

Wrong location. I am 10 steps away from aroma on king and spadina, my last aroma order was from here, yet my order is placed at the one at mars center? What happened to confirm location popup? Seriously 😒

Daily lunch app. I hate waiting in line so I use Ritual every time I order lunch.

Fraudulent. They send emails out advertising promos, and then they delete the promo without telling users. Very shady, avoid at all costs.

Fantastic. Really a great app. I can’t wait for it to work in Quebec City

~. For the most part it’s great, easy to ise, gives you bonus points (but nothing close to how it used to be), but man whenever it introduces FoodFest or any promotions, the app is unusable. I’d go in, and the app crashes. I’ve restarted my phone, delete and readd the app and it’s the same thing. This has been happening for years whenever their new promos comes out, cmon guys, let’s get tjings fixed.

Started charging fees. Every order now costs a few dollars extra even at restaurants a that never increase their menu prices.

Markup :(. I’ve been using this app since it came out and they didn’t used to markup the prices. They do now and I’m pretty disappointed. Why do I have to pay more to use the app but still pick it up myself?? It makes more sense just to use that restaurant’s online ordering website or call. It may be more inconvenient but it doesn’t waste your money.

App is broken. Continuous pop up of “something is broken.” Tried reinstalling but hasn’t fixed it.

Hidden fee. Classic hidden fee. Waited until the very last screen to surprise me with a “service fee” that was hidden by being lumped with taxes and required a click to see. Charging for service is ok, deception isn’t.

Fees. Fee = uninstall

Only taste you get from Ritual is a sour taste. This whole $1 Food Fest left a sour taste and lots to be desired. Touting and advertising the $1 promotion but completely miss the mark in terms of forecasting demand..and the cherry on top is cutting off the promotion early. How awful.

Ritual is greedy. . Service fee - .99 cents on a $30 + order is GREEDY. Once some of my stamp cards are complete, I will promptly delete this app

Great app!. So useful and easy to use. Makes lunch fun and efficient ordering and just picking up 😊

Total Joke. My coworker placed an order and the app would not let anyone else piggyback because the restaurant was “to busy”. Great thanks for that... so now one person has to drive and get there food and the rest of us are wondering where we are going to go. Also you get this as a review because there is no way to contact support. Uninstalling this permanently now.

Super handy!. Been using this app for years. I love it and the rewards you get from using it.

Longtime user (Since 2016). EDIT: As of May 3, 2023 Ritual responded on why they’re charging the fee & I agree. It’s just the fact that an app (like Ritual) charging me a dollar to place a pickup order just isn’t worth it to me. The business model doesn’t work when VC money runs out. Why would a user pay a dollar to order a $11 sandwich lol? EDIT: As of May 1, 2023 they’ve started charging a fee from users so the Blair opposition is now gone, it was a good product but now you’re better off just ordering directly from the restaurant. Uninstalled the app. Really happy with the app, been using it for around 3 years & a much better option than Uber eats. Wish more people knew about it.

Great App. Really good app for those who work downtown, you get great deals on very costly food items otherwise. Great savings and reward system.

No good when restaurant doesn’t know about promotions. First time using the app and the restaurant was unaware of the $1 deal so I couldn’t use it. Found another restaurant but then discovered I need to use Apple Pay. No thanks. Guess I’ll be deleting this app.

Less choices.. It’s a good app, but the choices on the App are very less

Data stealing scam. Was given a promo code from a partner restaurant, but it was not accepted and only told me after it demanded personal data be inputted. Despite the partner restaurant being around the corner from me it says there are no restaurants in walking distance.

Great customer service. Their newly added feature to report any issues with the orders is so easy to use. And my issue was resolved very quickly without me having to hunt down anyone, or make any calls. I use this app over any other food pickup apps. Love it!!

Long time user but won’t be any longer. Ritual, you guys made a huge mistake to add the service fee after years of frequent users like me happily using this app. I literally downloaded this app BECAUSE there was no silly extra fees and the benefits (points collection) out-weighted any cons (there was no con). But now what is this. You have to pay money to go pick the food YOURSELF? Make it make sense.. You’re losing loyal users of this app. I hope you realize that.

Waste of time. Tried to use the app twice and both times my order was cancelled.

5 dollars off sharebles never worked. I use this app for awhile and getting 5$ off shareables from my friends. I was never able to use that discount at checkout when I press promotion it shows I don’t have it. That sucks! What’s the point to have this app? False advertisement.

Scam. Only after you’ve given them your email, Facebook, phone number, name, etc do you get stuck on a screen that requires an invite code. Turns out they don’t even support my city. Why don’t you list the cities you DO support in the app description? Because that would hurt your App Store downloads, or because you wouldn’t be able to harvest our info without actually providing a service? Oh, both.

Blocked promotions from my account when linked work email. This is how you lose business. Fix your stuff before promoting anything.

Prices are more expensive using Ritual. The markup isn’t worth the convenience especially when you still have to wait for the order. It’s ok.

Doesn’t let you create a group. For small businesses that aren’t searchable, it just doesn’t allow you to add your business/ group of people you want to piggie back. Which is unfair.

Convenient and no extra charges. It’s convenient, exposes me to new restaurants in my neighborhoods, and doesn’t have the food markups that most of the other apps have. I love the same price on the menu guarantee, and that I can skip the lines.

Ended Promotion Early. Ritual informed us that they were extending the Food Fest $1 promotion until March 29th for users who signed up before the 19th. However, today on March 25th I’m not able to order anything for $1.

Bahn Mi @ Crave. Quick service at Crave. The only change I would make is the up the serving size. Shadeen

Started charging fees. I understand Ritual is a company that needs to make money, but now there is literally no reason to use Ritual over the Restaurants own apps. Why would I pay a service fee for no additional service? The copied and pasted responses from the developer on recent reviews clearly show they don’t care what the users think. After years of using ritual, it’s finally time to uninstall it.

Want to Support But Barely Works. App frequently gets stuck on blue splash screen when opening and once it opens adding to cart just spins endlessly

Can’t log in. The app isn’t sending out a verification code so I can’t log in :(

Orders are not ready when signalled for pickup. Ritual provides some great discounts for ordering food pickup (I live in Toronto for reference). Unfortunately, the app integration on the business side is poor. Of the first two times I ordered on ritual I was disappointed. When signalled that my order was ready for pickup, I would find that the business orders had not even begun making my food upon arriving at the establishment. I think this app is a great idea but suffers from poor user experience for business owners. I imagine the app estimates how long the food will take but does not notify business owners properly of an incoming order. Often food establishments are busy with orders coming in from many apps, in person and phones. I would recommend to the developers to provide an acknowledgment button for business owners to click when they begin making the order. That way the estimation of pick up times will be more accurate.

Don’t fall for the scam, $1 an order!. Not good value, went from no fee to $1 per order on top of margin from restaurants and record food prices!

Doesn’t work as advertised. The app gives you “shareables” that you can send to friends so they get $5 off at a restaurant you tried. These shareables never work, there’s no way to apply that discount to your order. It’s very disappointing and false advertising of the app. Otherwise, the app is useful for pick up of orders.

Do No trust. Did not get discount when did first order. Contact the customer service ,but did not solve the problem. Disappointed

Use it daily with my team. It’s great. My company uses it daily. Piggyback is like free delivery for my coffee. ☕️

Extremely poor customer service. When the app works as it should this is a great idea. However I’ve had two significant problems lately - a wrong order and an order the restaurant didn’t even start preparing until after I arrived, on time, to pick it up (the wait resulted in my having to talk myself out of a parking ticket since I thought I was just running in). The customer service experience has been far below satisfactory. For the wrong order, they would only issue a partial refund even though I ended up giving the food away as it is not something I would have ordered. For the late order they gave me points worth $1, even though the experience entirely negated the purpose of Ritual. Given that their loyalty points aren’t worth much at all (at the basic earning level you have to spend $1000 to get $10!) I’ll likely just order takeout directly from the restaurant moving forward.

Price increase and poor customer service. They sent an email adding costs 3 days before applying it with no increase in service

Needs Restaurant Reviews!!. Good app but would love if the app showed restaurant reviews. A star rating or the actual user-submitted reviews would be great

Started charging fees, I’m out. Charging fees for me just to place an order and pick it up myself? No. Deleted.

I don’t do lunch without it!. I love this app. I hate line ups. It’s simple to use and I’ve even got to the point where I chose where to eat based on what’s available on Ritual! Keep up the great work!

Started charging fees. The point of the app used to be that you can skip the line at the restaurants by ordering through them for the same cost. Now they are saying that the cost will be going to the customer as well as the restaurant and claim that this will allow them to provide good customer service? Not sure why they think charging me extra to pick up an order is good “customer service”.

App gone completely down hill!. This app used to be great, now the restaurants don’t care, often don’t meet the timeframe leaving people waiting. Food is often poor quality, missing or forgotten and Ritual does nothing to fix the issues. They don’t even respond to customer issues any longer. The point system was revised so you get less points per order than when the app began.

Really? I’m paying a fee for picking up my own food?. This app used to be fantastic. Now they charge you a fee on every order for going and picking up your food yourself. Ridiculous. Would rather just call restaurants directly and order for pickup at this point. Or pay more of a fee and use delivery apps to get stuff delivered.

All fees and up-charges. This used to be a convenient app, but now they charge a service fee just to order through the app. Several restaurants also charge more on ritual than the regular menu. Cut out the middle man and order direct from the restaurants!

Was good until today. They shouldn’t have removed the $5 perk. I was using the app to discover new places on a weekly basis in large part because of the $5 off perk. Now it’s gone and my use of the app will likely drop off sharply.

Non existent support. If your order ever gets messed up, it’s impossible to get through to their support and Ritual is super comfortable to hold onto your money even when the restaurant was able to cancel from their end. Scam vibes!

Not Food Allergy Friendly. No option to add a comment to an order or layer on an option to your profile to specify that there is a food allergy. There is also limited information on food ingredients for most restaurant options, and no allergy information. I personally think participating restaurants should be required to include major allergen call outs. Long story short, if you have a food allergy you can not use this app. Better to go get food yourself than risk your life. Shame since over 17million people in the US are diagnosed with food allergies...

So easy to use!. I used to have to budget extra time over my lunch break to order and stand in line, but thanks to Ritual, I can just walk over to the restaurant and pick up my order as soon as it’s ready. A huge time saver!!

Fantastic app! Eliminates wait time. How can you go wrong! You start off with $5 off your first order, get $5 off your next order and all the while you’re earning points toward free food!! Plus, you can order ahead and eliminate the need to wait in line to order and wait more to get your food!!

Customer support is absent. May 3, 2020...Would be 5 stars but I recently made an order for pizza from a local shop but it was closed. Why is the app allowing u to order from a place that’s closed? I walked to the pizza ship and the doors/windows were boarded up. Sent a message within the app to what I believe is “customer support” to get a refund, twice. No replies/no refund. If you’re using the app, make sure the place is open before ordering bc u probably won’t be getting any customer support whatsoever or refund.

Awesome. I been using Ritual for a few months now and I love it. Working downtown and trying to get lunch can take up most of your lunch time, but with Ritual I can pre-place my order and it ready by the time I get there! No bad experiences so far. Even when I had one bad experience with the actual place I ordered from, Ritual rectified the situation the same day. I would highly recommended this app!

The first app I check for lunch. My office is in a good location and I can never think of what to have for lunch. This is the first app I go to. Hopefully more options will be added so it can be the only app I need to check. It’s great being able to order my coffee while on the train, know when it’s done the stroll up to pick it up. It’s the little luxuries I appreciate.

Used to work. This app no longer works or does not work in Boston. Developers unresponsive to my input. The app does not clear items from cart even when uninstalled. I get an “oops” timeout error message. And each step of the attempted transaction takes 2 minutes. Why would I use an app that takes longer to order online than it takes me to walk up, stand in line, order, pay and be served? What a waste of time. Plus shops are telling me they do not receive tips entered in app. Suss.

Need a few adjustments. Love love love love the app. Def helpful working in downtown Chicago where other coworkers in the building offer to pick up food HOWEVER as being a part of a huge cooperation I don’t know everyone on the app. I think there should be a way to text the person? Or instructions or where to meet? Some way to communicate? Just a thought.

Good but needs some enhancements. Very smooth and easy UI on this app. It is well designed. GOOD: It saves previous orders so that you don’t have to build them again. BAD: Unable to edit the pickup time on this order. Only option was right away. So, if I wanted to place my saved salad order in the morning for a 1230 lunch pickup time, I couldn’t do that. Would have to start a whole new order. -ASK: Offer ability to edit pickup time on Saved orders. Also, my restaurant offers teas and fountain drinks. This isn’t listed on their ritual. Need to engage customers more to ensure that all available menu items are listed. Besides that it’s a great app!

Want to Like It. There has to be some sort of confirmation that the order is finished on the restaurant side. Too many times have I walked into the restaurant having to wait anyways. That time waiting would've might as well been used to just order in person. Smart idea, bad execution. It seems like there's preset timer that restaurants can set for how long it'll take for food to be ready, not very accurate.

Terrible App. This app is definitely not worth the headache it’ll give you. When you ask the help center to resolve an issue for you ,like I had, they basically tell you you’re wrong and stop replying. I referred friends to receive a promotion and did not receive anything. This app is all hype you’re better off just going to your fav spots in LA without the false claims of free food or “earning points”. And on top of everything you can’t close your account. You can only sign out. I find that very weird.

HORRIBLE customer service communication. It’s been 3 days and my issue still hasn’t been resolved, I had a ritual years ago and now that I want to log back in i can’t. I’ve tried every single password and it’s not letting me log in, and tried multiple times to send a password change email that has never come through. Communicated this with customer service and they just tried the same thing the app does and it still doesn’t work. Communication time between each email is 15+ hours with no response.

Best app of 2019. This app is great. Excellent reward program to give you discounts and expands lunch options if you only get a 30 minute break because you pick up food when it is ready. No waiting for order, prep, or payment.

Nice interface but room for improvement. This is my first time using apple pay and it's not always clear when an order goes through successfully - especially when placing an order on the subway where service is limited and WiFi is untrustworthy.

Worst customer support ever!. On 2 separate accounts my order was not available at Liquiteria despite it showing up in the app. I had to cancel my order and get a refund from Ritual. I did just that, but NEVER received my money back despite sending multiplie reminders. Hopefully this way somebody will pay attention. Quick update on this one. Since writing the paragraph above Ritual has reached out to ask to change my review, because the refund would be issued imminently. 2 weeks later still nothing. Worst customer experience ever!

Loving this Ritual App so far!!!. So far my experience with Ritual has been fantastic! The ordering process, the various deals and incentives offered and real-time order status makes getting lunch a snap! I also spoke to a friend who owns aher business and she said Ritual takes a smaller cut than some of the other online ordering apps and is more small-business friendly.

Love this app ❤️🎉😁. Life is definitely better with Ritual. Now I can get lunch from my favorite restaurant and still have time to hang out with the people I care about during my busy lunch times. I now purchase from my favorite spot so often that they know me.

App doesn't work and customer service is useless. Have been trying to get the app to work for 3 days, to no avail. It just hangs after I enter my address, on the blue screen with the Ritual logo and an infinite spinner. The devs have provided useless customer service, with ideas like trying to open the app when I have a "better connection". I work in tech and have ridiculously fast internet both at home and work. My connection is not the problem, this garbage app is. Don't waste your time.

Getting Sloppy. I’ve been using this app a couple of years with decent results. The last 3 times have been less than stellar. Orders haven’t been correct, I’ve been charged extra for items the establishment was out of and I’ve have the restaurant “lose” the order altogether while I watch those who ordered in the establishment come and go while I stand and wait. In this new normal it’s probably easier to go back to ordering in the restaurant.

Like waiting in line only worse.. It is much easier to just go to the place. If there is a line, you know. If there things that are out, you know. When your lunch is done, they tell you. No notice. No status. No updates. Ritual has managed to turn one of life’s little inconveniences into a bigger inconvenience. Also, they are running a “lunch for $1” special and that is a lie. The lunch that would have been about $15 was now $9. Don’t get me wrong, if they said they were giving $5 off, I would think that would be a bargain, but it also would have been the truth. A lie is a lie. They lied.

Oops the app doesn’t work. I used to use ritual, when I was looking for lunch or a snack or dinner. I have a bunch of points stuck in the app, but can’t use them. Anytime I try to open the app all I get is “oops something went wrong “. The app just keeps repeating this. The app doesn’t open, just oops… this is not a very granular level of diagnostic from ritual. Basically, it’s a useless error message. So, clearly I can’t use the app, can’t order food, can’t get to my points. It doesn’t matter what device, as I’ve tried four of them. It has nothing to do with the Internet being up or down, as I can search the web, download email, stream without problems. It’s just basically a crappy app.

Awesome!. I especially love that there are now more than 20 people on my floor at work who have this app, so there’s almost always he chance to have a coworker bring you back food, or to offer that luxury to others. The $1 deals are also great. I have gotten so much low cost or free food!

Updates break the app. App used to work well, then they did an update and everything broke. Previous order history and stamps were deleted, as were all settings including stored payments. User support is on the slow side, making addressing problems challenging. Recently orders haven’t processed correctly, causing delays in pick-up.

Solid app for picking up food. Ritual works really really well for getting lunch or breakfast in downtown chicago. They have a ever expanding list of options and skipping the line during lunch rush hour is soo worth it. If your like me and pick up food and bring it back to the office definitely use ritual.

Please stop asking order now or ahead. I always want to order when I do, I don’t walk to the coffee shop. I understand it’s your “twist” but it’s poorly implemented. Have an option for me to permanently dismiss it, and the option on the modal *does not work*. I just forgot that modal was going to come up and I’m waiting at the coffee shop because O didn’t choose one of the options.

$5 Off Deals. For some reason, the app offers the $5 off deals to many of my teammates, but doesn’t appear to be offered to me. Why? I don’t know! And I’m in my feelings about it. I was using this app to the fullest until that happened!

Ok app, failed incentives. Ordering food, picking it up, not bad. The selection, and I work downtown in one of the largest cities in NA, could be better. The incentives to sign up others however is a failure. I’ve lost weeks while people waited for customer service to sign them up. Weeks of $1 incentives. I won’t hurt my rep on this app. People come to me for restaurant recommendations for lunch, nights on the town, business meetings, anniversaries, etc. If I can’t be trusted with a simple lunch app I’ll lose credibility.

Excellent. This helps with the work days that you have plenty to do but need to order food but is unable to take a full lunch. Beats the lines and you are able to use your time daily to be more productive.

Very Convenient. This app is perfect for me as I am always on the go and I don’t have time to wait in line and I like that you can earn money for receiving points which is a HUGE Bonus! I’m glad this site was created and I hope it expands beyond the downtown area

So clever!. I love this app. Such a great idea. Some suggestions for the developers: make an option to join more than one “team” for those who hold more than one job. Also consider making a different reward/points system for smaller companies. Other than that it’s a great app that me and my small team of 10 will be using for a long time to come!

Awful. Walking my dog and i am four blocks from the coffee shop and i place an order. It dings to confirm order has gone thru. I put my phime in my pocket. Go to the coffee shop and wait five minutes. The barista tells mecshe did not get the order. I pull out my ohon and it says "you appear to be far, are you sure you want to order now?" That's the whole point of ordering by app!!! I can figure that out all by myself. Whoever at ritual decided to waste my time is the worst.

Great App - but nothing close by. Really love the app and I’ve heard amazing things about it. Would be 5 stars all day but somewhat upset as I can’t utilize the app yet working in Manchester, NH. Hoping you branch into the area soon so I can use this awesome app! I would love to point out some local restaurants to help get the process started. If there was a way of adding “prospective restaurants” I would certainly lend a hand here!

Food quality is below expectation. I used to like Chez BeeSen’s food. But this chicken and falalfel bowl is very disappointing. First of all the chicken pieces are very salty although the texture is fine. I rarely had food this salty before. Then I was looking forward to try their falalfel but again not happy about it. It’s very dry and hard. I rather get the buffet style food. At least I can pick and choose what I like. Not sure if I want to try from their menu again.

So Many Spam Notifications. This app is pretty good functionality wise but my god does it absolutely SPAM you with useless notifications ALL THE TIME. I constantly get useless notifications (like one to three a day) about random marketing stuff that doesn't help me at all. Please turn down the notification abuse in your app, it's egregious. You can turn off marketing notifications in the settings, but either way I almost uninstalled it out of pure frustration.

Bug. Deleted the app after not using it for a while then downloaded it again so I could order from a specific restaurant. Logging in required me to add my phone number, but I was hit with a conflicting message saying my mobile number had already been verified. No way to skip this option. Please fix it so that I can log back into my account.

Bad bad design. Overall it is a good app and convenient to use. And we do have privacy concerns like other people pointed already about sharing the information of location and also the name, address and floor you work on. The really bad design is about floor and team. We have hundreds of people working for different teams on the same floor. So a completely stranger can join our pick up order. That’s bad. If we allow to put in a team name, it will be nice.

Misleading and in accurate. I downloaded the app from a promo. A promo said the food was free, but there would be a two dollar processing fee. Sure no problem. I ordered and the order came out to $15 or so. It’s confusing because they say they will refund and credit you after the transaction has been processed, so you take a leap of faith that the technology will do what it says it’s going to do. Guess what. It doesn’t. So essentially I paid $9-10 for fast food to be delivered and I did not have any ability to customize the order, choose the specific drink, choose any type of sauce, etc. Apps like these have one chance to get it right, and this one essentially failed in every way. Developers: I am not interested in getting a credit for your faulty app. Do better and make your product work.

Ritual App Impressive. This app has a lot of good use one being it’s easy for me to use just so I am clear with my order I could remember a million times where I ordered the traditional way with the cashier and it ended up getting so badly mixed up that it was impossible to correct but that’s when Ritual came in and saved the day.

Pick up food easy and earn rewards, on food I would have bought anyway. Love this app, constantly saving $ with rewards and offers, and can order my food when I need it, saving time in lines. Perfect for work lunches!

Piggyback needs work. Piggyback is a GREAT idea, but isn’t that great for bigger companies. I work in an office of hundreds of people. I don’t know every person here. We also have more than one kitchen, so when the notification says “XYZ will meet you in the kitchen,” that already confuses things. I believe there should be a messaging function so that people can contact the person picking up the order and vice versa.

This app design is so bad. YOUR ORDERS GET CANCELED/NOT PLACED WITH THIS APP The registration process when you first log in requires so many verification steps and I wasn't receiving the verification emails/messages. It took 1 hour to pass the verification check and I wasn't able to place my order You need to verify your email and phone number. Usually, it's only one required. Why do they need so badly to verify both? Orders get constant cancelations. I edited my previous order, saved and placed it but the app didn't save the changes as a result my order was canceled because items were missing. Literally, every time I use this app something doesn't work.

This app almost has it all. I love being able to order, grab and go, so this app is great for that, however, I can’t seem to adjust certain options for my coffee drinks like I can with Starbucks (i.e., light foam, extra hot). At the very least, I would like to see a “Special Instructions” added on so that I could include such information. I love the Piggyback feature, too.

Great rewards and incentives. I never would have heard about ritual if it weren’t for the 1$ lunch promotion. The promotion is what keeps me referring the app to friends! Rituals value added to the world of food ordering apps is that it is really very efficient on a work day - I can go grab the food and be back in the office without waiting in a single line.

I love it.. When I was new to ritual, at the time there were checkout issues so I thought that the app was bad. They did an update and everything works fine. I love this app. Thanks for the $10 sign up bonus. I’ll keep using this app. It’s very useful in the morning. Order on my phone. Pick up at the store and go.

Customer Service is lacking. The email response was not helpful and did not resolve the ordering problem. I ordered rose rice with my salmon and received brown rice. In my email I wrote jasmine instead of rose because I thought jasmine was the name of the rice I had ordered (in sum it’s white rice vs. brown rice). I received brown rice, not white. I paid $16 for salmon, spinach and rice so I expected my order to be exactly what I wanted. I ordered the same thing yesterday with a Ritual discount and got a much better result. The packaging was different the quality of the salad was much worse and I wanted help from your team. The email from Ritual that I received back did not take into consideration the picture I submitted or the other complaints I had about my experience. I am very very unhappy with Ritual’s customer service at this time.

Great App but slow on points. I use a lot of apps bc it’s convenient and free food from earning points. But with this app it takes the a lot of money to earn enough points for rewards. Plus there’s a lot of options to choose from and I love the incentive for trying new places!

Dollarfest is a joke. Up until this point, I’ve been a big fan of Ritual, however this “DollarFest” promotion seems to be a complete joke. I live right in downtown Boston and not a single location within miles is participating in DollarFest. Feels very much like a trick to generate new users with no real intention of allowing them to get a meal for a dollar. If the argument is “you must not be searching correctly” - I can assure you I followed the online instructions perfectly. If there are participating locations, the UI makes it impossible to find them.

Good, but not great. This app frustrates me. It is generally very good. But the step where it asks after you have already paid and tipped about whether you want to place the order is dumb. It knows that I am 4 minutes walk away. So it should just place it. Why would I need to be closer? No place makes a coffee faster than that.

Fun way to try new places!. I tried this app after hearing about it from a friend. I was enticed by the point system, but found that I use it more for exploring new places! I have explored way outside my normal lunch/coffee places and gotten in lots of steps in the process... not to mention I have earned lots of points!

App was fantastic until last update. I’ve used and loved the app for the past three years. It’s been a staple on my Home Screen. But with the most recent update to the app, I can no longer login. I’ve spent weeks going back and forth with the very helpful customer service team, and while I can login on the desktop version of the website, we have not been able to fix whatever is malfunctioning in the app.
