Could be better. I do not like the fact that I can’t edit my pets name to add a last name. I also do not like the fact that I cannot delete my pet when my pet passed away. In addition I do not like that it did not have a notification or a warning that my wellness plan was about to expire. I had requested and appointment never got a call back, request a second appointment got a response but the appointment never showed up on the app. Now my pet does not have an appointment because the wellness plan expired and they still have yet to reach out to me.

In love for years!. I have been taking my pets to Banfield for at least 5 years. When I found out about their app, it made my life a lot easier. I was able to request an appointment, check my pet's lab work results, view her medical history, and so much more. The only problem I have is appointment setting. You are able to request, but it isn't guaranteed. I feel they should display only available times and dates. Minor fix. I still highly recommend this app.

New and improved?. I’m not sure about the negative reviews from a while back but this is basically like an EMAR for your pet. The vet chat works well, Dr Perkins addressed my concerns before my pup was scheduled for neutering within the scope of her abilities online (it’s like a suggestion section, they can’t really diagnose or prescribe over chat I’m guessing for legal reasons) I’m about to use it again now actually. The fact that you can check everything (weight, vax schedule, visit summaries) through this app makes it 5 star.

Lousy app and slow service. Issues with app. It will often times not load at all. When it does load it often has problems logging in. When it does log you in, and you go to your pets records, it will again(often) not load their records. When trying to schedule a visit it will not let you select an in person visit, drop off only, which is already annoying, but that brings me to the service side of things. Scheduled my cat for a morning appointment arrived a few minutes early/on time. Took cat and me back to one of their rooms just to verify what I had already told both the app and the receptionist ( He was just there for vaccinations. Healthy. Etc.) Then told me that he would be ready for pickup between noon and 1:00pm, and that they’d call me. No call by 1:00, so I call them and he’s not been seen by the vet. Apparently the vet’s gone to lunch. Asked when my cat would be ready and was now told after 3:00 pm, probably. Why does it take seven hours to give a cat two shots? Why did the app allow me to schedule a morning visit, if they can’t see him until the afternoon? .My cat’s sitting in a cage in the back of their office for hours and hours longer than he needed to. That’s stressful for a cat. I’m not impressed and not happy.

Appointment Scheduler is garbage. Takes forever to load, filters for In-Room just flat out don’t work with “Next Available” searches even though it shows it as selected, the results returned are for Drop-Off. Selecting a time is super annoying, the collection/scroll views containing the selectable time slots keeps resetting its contentOffset.x on “did end” decelerating, guessing there’s a some cruft in the delegate method handler there that incorrectly setting the contentOffset for a false positive on an edge case condition. All the Banfield locations are swamped with calls in my area, probably because the scheduler isn’t working and they just want to make sure they’re getting the correct appointment type/time/etc down on the books. Requests are still slow af, the app appears to still be using a single threaded network request system where any pending requests on any other screen block new requests until completion or timeout. Not everything is as slow as it used to be, I will give them that. There have been some improvements. It used to take MINUTES to load the pet images and the home screen, now it takes about a minute at the maximum. Still slow af, but better than it was.

App is okay, service is uneven. This may not be true of every location, however the Traders Point store in Indianapolis’ staff hung up on me after leaving me on hold for several minutes. All the while knowing my dog is at home unable to walk. So, I went in to chat with a Vet and all they did was tell me exactly what they could not do. They vet with whom I was chatting left a note and then FINALLY a manager was able locate the medication and manually bring it to this store. Why no human person could have said that to me and me having to turn to the chat feature to get someone to show me some respect after being hung up on, God only knows. I pay for my plan every month, the app never stores my password and never logs in using FaceID because it has not been updated in years. At least the staff treated me well, until my dachshund’s last nail trim which they decided to skip every other nail. Thank he incompetence at this office is staggering. The app cannot make up for that.

Thank You. My pup had his first tooth extraction(s) which sent my anxiety through the roof as I waited by the phone at work for a doctor to call. I received frequent updates and constant reassurance on Yoshi’s wellbeing. Yoshi and I appreciate the thorough, caring and empathetic staff at Banfield - Clifton Park. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer all of my questions, address each and every concern and most of all caring for Yoshi with patience and kindness. He can be a bit grumpy, but I trust in due time, he will shower you all with his kisses for all that you’ve done. Thank you all for all that you do. We look forward to a lifelong partnership with the team at Banfield- Clifton Park.

Filled with bugs. The app does have quite a few nice features but there are a few bugs that make it unusable. The biggest bug being the crashing that happens whenever I try to edit an appointment. I have tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling, and clearing app data and it instantly crashes every time I click on either “view/edit” for the appointment or even the drop-down to view more details for the appointment. Very inconvenient. I also think this app would benefit from being better able to multitask. If you leave the app and come back, it takes forever to load and has just the logo for quite a while, even on my 14 Pro Max phone.

One thing needed. Banfield has provided excellent care and medical plan for my senior dog. Now my new pup has turned 2 and the care and plan is excellent. As for the app, it is fine for me to check things but one thing is missing (unless I haven’t found it). Because my gal is a therapy dog, she needs to present paperwork concerning rabies and fecal testing. I wish there would be a page that shows due dates for everything not just what is needed at the next appointment—in other words, a page like the top sheet that I get to take home after an appointment that includes regular inoculations and tastings.

Great idea, poor execution. I love the idea of having all my vet records in an app and being able to look at them whenever I need. I check my pets weight often and keep track on the app where their weights are an their blood levels and everything. It’s a great service. I do; however, have a problem with how slow and unreliable the app is. It’s constantly crashing and takes a very long time to load anything. Banfield is owned by mars and has every resource available to make a better running app. Please work on the load times and crashing.

Loving the easy but wish for a few upgrades.. I love the easy of scheduling an appointment - both for exams, and illness/injury. I do wish they could give you automatic alternatives when your current office is has no availability. I have to use the back arrow to click for other offices appointment times and some times required me to start from the beginning. I do like that you can still look for next available of the current office. What I found most AMAZING is the chat with the vet part of the app. Getting my concerns answered quickly is a time saver as opposed to calling the office and hoping someone picks up. Another time saver is they will tell me when it's not necessary to take baby in. I really enjoy this app.

New version got rid of every reason it was great. I loved this app so much. You could see so much. Biggest thing was you could see (and screenshot and send to your groomer/boarding place) all their pupdated shots. You could see what’s going to expire and when. Now you see nothing. My FAVORITE thing of seeing their weight from when they were 8 weeks old until current IS GONE. Which makes seeing my dogs weight loss progress (not only gone) but harder to track. I not the person who doesn’t ever do updates on my phone.. I do them happily. BUT I have never wish so much before that my auto updates were turned off. I’m so disappointed Banfield. I actually just recommended another corgi new to the area to you- mainly of course because one of your vets - but also because of this app. I decided to write a review PRAYING you would fix this. Please, bring back the old version. Or at least bring back all the items that were available to us and keep your new format. Ugh... I have no reason to even use this app now

Program for both app and PC do not work. Not only can I not login on the computer for this program but I’m having the same issue logging in on the app for the iPhone. It wants me to create a new password because new features were added, which I don’t understand why I have to change my password for that. I tried creating a new password but it keeps giving me an error message saying the password I created didn’t work and to try another password. I did just that like 10 times and nothing. I contacted customer service about the issue but still received no response and it’s been nearly a week since I emailed them. Poor customer service and poor application access. What’s the point of having this app if it never works regardless of how one accessed it.

Good information available but frustrating. I do love that your pet(s) history/records are available in the app however when I tried to request an appointment, for date/time then had to text my husband to see if he could take her, went back to app and had to start all over. His schedule isn’t the same everyday so I do have to check and it’s not like appointment are readily available. That’s another issue I have with Banfield, trying to get an actual appointment and not “drop off” is ridiculous, some are a month or more out...but that’s not related to the app.

EMERGENCY. For the most part the insurance has been working out well April 21 The older of my two dogs Jack was hit by a car at 5:45 PM I called Banfield it was 5:57 PM when I called the banfield Northpoint Durham they were supposed to close at 6 PM I keep getting a recording saying that they were busy with other clients and a call back later then I got they're closed message I called the number that they give you for emergencies on the Banfield location and they said that they did not have any emergency appointments I explained that I would not get my disability check till next week they said they could give you referrals but I'd have to money upfront where am I to get this money? it is not that I don't love my dog but I'm on disability of a cats a survivor I have developmental physical disabilities I was able to connect with the virtual vet the problem was that they asked for pictures and I had to take five or 10 minutes to take the pictures and then I couldn't get back to the vet Jack has what appears to be minor injuries but as the evening has progressed I am becoming more concernedBanfield opens to Northpoint at 8 AM I'm going to be there when they open I don't have an appointment but they should've answered the phone and then we had still had three minutes to work it really concerns me that there is not something in place for those with wellness plans in an emergency

Good Service, Horrible app! Don’t judge the service based on the horrible app.. I’ve been going to Banfield from almost 14 years. Over the years I’ve been very happy with them. I have watched this app go through revisions and changes. Unfortunately still 90% of the activities you need to do will require calling your local Banfield because it cannot be done on the app even though they tell you it can. The most useful feature of this app is the chat, but you need to understand the people chatting with you are not at your local Banfield and cannot do anything to assist your local Banfield. this is very helpful after hours, however also commonly ends in advice to call your local Banfield. The scheduling feature is incredibly hard to use, it also does not let you select the doctor until you select the time. So if you’re trying to find a time with your doctor, you’ll have to check each day by day until you find them on the schedule with an available opening which will probably be 3-4 weeks out. It’s also very hard to actually select the appointment time to even allow the app to move forward in the scheduling process. These issues shouldn’t be that hard to solve. I hope Banfield can figure this out. Once again, I’m very happy with my Banfield doctor and the Banfield service. This app seems to be below par and needs to be looked at from a customers point of view.

Convenient as it gets!. I’ve always enjoyed going to Banfield pet hospital for my dogs because they also get groomed and do the dog day care and hotel, events etc. so out of that convenience I started the clinic. We’ve now been going 4+ years for my two dogs and my cat. They have since made some super useful updates that I LOVE. 1) online booking - this is MAJOR for me. My schedule often interfere with reaching many places during regular hours. 2) notifications - reminders are the best! 3) access to all records in real-time like vaccine info etc. this was surprisingly helpful when I took them to an event at Petco and was asked for proof of vaccines (which who carries that on them at all times) fortunately we were able to pull up app and provide required info and get on with our day! My location - Crystal Lake IL - is amazing. Super kind and loving staff! Thanks Banfield I’m Crystal Lake IL!!

5 stars x 2. I was skeptical about using Banfield at first. I NEVER would have considered bringing my pets to Banfield. After all, it's not your neighborhood vet; Banfield is a subsidiary of PetSmart - a "chain"-type business. Luckily my wife ignored me & went to Banfield per a few recommendation. To my surprise, the cost/value of their healthcare programs & the quality of their veterinarians & pet care are excellent! We have been w/them for 4+ years & are very happy. So, what's the likelihood that they would create a great app? Again, my expectations were low, but they did it! It's a stable and basic, but mostly comprehensive app - find closest Banfield, keep basic healthcare records, setup appointments & get reminders, keep a journal, & other features. If you bring your pets to Banfield, don't hesitate using this app. If you are in need of a veterinarian hospital, consider Banfield.

Love Banfield but not this app. I preferred the older more colorful version that was actually easier to use. I absolutely hate the appointment scheduler now as it is too limited and won’t let me set up a drop off and keeps showing me that my vet is booked up for the next few months. That is just ridiculous and makes me want to throw my phone across the room. I have been using Banfield for almost 20 years and my dog has bladder stones and the only vet I want to see is his regular vet Dr. Dolese in Sterling VA. I’m not going around all over the place to just any Banfield doctor, not for an ongoing issue. It would be better to let us choose our appointments by doctor over a range of days and let us choose drop off or in room. 99% of the time I have to do drop off anyway. I REALLY don’t like an app making decisions for me.

App has its conveniences but also not so much.. The app can be very useful, but it crashes often. If you close the app for any reason, it immediately logs you out. It may have a fingerprint recognition to enable, but for any newer iOS devices using face recognition that's not very useful. The “remember me” box is just as pointless if it doesn’t log me on and remember my password. I logged in, left the app for about 30 seconds to confirm an appointment time wouldn’t clash with another in my calendar. In that short amount of time, it logged me out and I had to start over. I understand maybe logging someone out for security reasons, but even my bank will give me a one or two minute window if I close the app and go right back in. The app has great potential but I think it could use a few changes and improvements.

Banfield. I see a lot of people stating that Bandfield is a subsidiary of Pet Smart. Well, it’s not. Banfield is owned by Mars. It is just convenient to rent a retail space inside a pet store. I have been a customer for 14 years now in 2 different states. Banfield may not be for everyone, I find it convenient and have had 4 pets enrolled at a time. Do I have a preference for doctors, of course, I do. You can tell whose is just looking at numbers and who is in the profession for the animals. Just recently moved to a different town and made an appointment for one of my fur babies and was delighted with the veterinarian and her staff.

Dog was very sick. Tried to bring my baby in to be looked at because he wasn’t acting right and wouldn’t eat but none of the Banfield offices would see him due to no openings available. I think they should at least have briefly seen him to see if it was an actual emergency or not because our plan doesn’t cover hospital visits. We did take him to a clinic and it wasn’t an emergency AND it costed us over $800. I’m glad that he wasn’t in diabetic shock but they shouldn’t turn away animals that are very sick.

Features missing. Another app update-and it wants me to reset my password AGAIN. Why should an app update need me to get a new password. Also, I can’t even do that because the link it forces you to just says the server isn’t responding so I cannot get into my Banfield account at all currently. Outside of this, the app is SO slow. Booking an online appointment they always call and say they don’t have that time/date so what is even the point of this feature. With this new app version you can no longer see when vaccinations are due and I can only see pets last three visits. Other features also seem to be missing like my pet’s medications. Previous version of app was also slow but had much more useful information. This new version is slow too, takes forever to load something or try to schedule an appointment. Most of the reviews over the last 6+ months are 1 Star!

LOVE BANFIELD!. Our vet is amazing! I took them to Banfield when it was at Petsmart, and love the new office. They have been so welcoming, fantastic and caring with both my fur babies. Their Optimum Wellness Plan is a MUST for any pet owner. I am so happy with it. 24/7 vet chat, routine vaccines, unlimited office visits. It has truly helped us! The App is wonderful. Schedule your visits, vet chat, and keep up to date with your pets records. It’s easy to pull up your pets records for the Groomers. It has it’s own section just for that. Fantastic! 💕💕💕🐾🐾🐾 5 PAWS ALL THE WAY!

Not happy with the update. I have had the app since I got my puppy three years ago and this most recent update is not good. It’s appears to be only good to see past visits and to make appointments. I liked that the vaccines records were in the old app easy to find in the event that I needed to pull them because she was getting groomed at somewhere new. Now when I go to look for her vaccines I have to go through every appointment she has ever had. Bring back some of the simplicity of the app. Change how it looks fine but don’t change the important stuff. Not happy with the update.

Wish it had one major feature, but other than that really nice to have app!. It’s nice that it can easily show you your pet’s vet records in one place, but a major improvement would be a one sheeter/screen that I can send as a PDF or at least screenshot, where it shows my pet’s name, vet, and vaccine records (either when it was given last or when it is due for) for boarding kennels who need the records. Having to screenshot a snippet of the records, one screen at a time to get all of the info needed, not to mention it doesn’t even show my pet name at the top of the records, is highly inconvenient.

Most amazing vets I’ve ever been too!. I love banfield hospital and vet in Concord. NH! All the veterinarians are so friendly and nice and explain everything to the full extent! They are caring and loving with your pet, who to me my little Sadie is my 4th child! ❤️She broke her leg from my fiancés doberman pincher jumping in her as he ran out of the house and he’s 114lbs! OUCH! I cried a lot with her every time she cried in pain, I can’t help it, I love her so much! She went for X-rays and now has a soft cast on and the whole staff is amazing there!! From the time your greeted till the time you get your baby back! I have had pets through the years, but this is the best and most amazing vet I have ever been to! If you haven’t been here yet, I suggest you try it! You won’t be disappointed. I wish I could post a pic of the awesome purple cast they did with a big green heart 💚

Do not get the wellness plan!. Do not get the wellness plan! Just don’t, it’s expensive and they don’t want to help you. Also, the hospital we used in Smyrna tn treated us like trash and act like they hate their job. The rooms are nasty. You can take your dog to local shelter and get the vaccinations for free, the chipping for close to nothing, and neutered/spaded for free. I took my dogs to this hospital and the cashier stood their like she didn’t just see me come out of the office with my puppy who just got neutered. She took 3 new customers before checking me out while my dog stood there freaking out and coming down from the meds. When I said something she acted like a ditz and said “oh sorry I didn’t see you”. The nurse gave her my dogs meds and pointed right at me when I came out! WTH stupid. If you don’t like your job then get another!

Cat not being taken care of timely. I have 2 cats on wellness plans. I have been trying to have one of them treated for weeks. She was seen, had shots, dental etc but her sneezing, runny nose and wheezing was dismissed as nothing. I have had 3 vet chats and a talk with office since about the same symptoms and could not get an appointment for over a week. I was told I would be called back one day for a virtual call and nobody called back. I had another vet chat and was told I should take her to a vet walk-in that I would have to pay for. I finally scheduled an appointment today online and she cannot be seen until 8/8/23. I pay over $100 per month for 2 cats and can’t seem to have one sick cat taken care of in a timely manner. It’s not working out for us.

I Hate This App. For some reason if you dont log in to this app often (once a month about) the app wont let you log in. The app constantly says the password is incorrect, even though it isn't. Then if you redo your password, it still wont let you log in with your new password. I have this issue every time I need to go into this app to check my pets appointments or info, which is about every 5 months. I completely hate this app! I am never able to check my pets info and end up having to call the vet instead. Which is a pain because you always get that one receptionist who never lets the vet know what information u need. I end up having to call all day or all week. If this app worked better than i wouldn't have this issue.

A great app for a great company. It just makes it super easy to take care of our little fur babies. Banfield has never done me wrong and I know I can trust them with my fur baby at any location really because you can tell that they have a thorough hiring process so they only get the most friendly and best people for the job. Would recommend for anyone who hasn’t try it and also to check out the pet plans. The pet plans are a great way to make sure you fur baby is always taken care of at an affordable price.

Paying a bill. Paying a bill on your site is ridiculous. I had to put in my credit card info, then tell it what bill I was paying for, then it took me to another site and made me put in my credit card information again. And asked that I want to use it for future payments and I said yes. Had to go back to the other site to choose the second bill I wanted to pay. Then it sent me back to the place to put in my credit card information AGAIN. Tooo much jumping from site to site with redundant information. Making an appointment was not hard to do.

Rating the app, not the clinic. Noticed that several reviews were for the service received, not the app. THIS review is only for the app. I recommend it, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it evolves. It’s an immature app, still. Beyond the “viable release;” still several features away from being complete. The app is best viewed as a way to view past appts, past medications, and to make appointments. With four pets, this is handy. For developer and product manager: these are what I notice. Some are low-hanging fruit that would immediately enhance customer experience. 1. I can’t see the appointments I have scheduled in the future. 2. Asks to send notifications, yet provides no information about what notifications I’ll receive. No option to select notifications. 3. Does not integrate with the website; I have to log on again. 4. No way to indicate that an animal is no longer part of the household, although I can hide a pet from the dashboard view. 5. #1 and 4 tell me that this app isn’t fully integrated with the clinic’s medical records, which would be a valuable feature.

The app used to be good.. The app was good... until now. The app forced me to update it and is now forcing me to change my password, okay fine. I have no problem doing that except every time I try to do that the app sends me the link to change it, I click it and then... nothing. The page never loads so I’m stuck in a vicious cycle of I can’t access my account and I can’t reset my password. Before this the app was okay. I liked it. Now I’m just annoyed and ready to delete it which is aggravating because that’s how I keep track of the boys appts. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Terrible app/web experience. One of the primary reasons I was initially interested in Banfield and their OWP a few months ago was that they (supposedly) offered a nice app for managing my pet’s health data and accessing payment info. Right away I realized the app was buggy- images wouldn’t load, the app would crash, etc. I hadn’t logged in for a while but needed to change my payment info. Tried to log in today to do so, but I couldn’t even get past the login screen even though I knew my info was correct. Was told to reset my password in order to enjoy the ‘new Banfield’ experience. Created and carefully entered a new password several times and each time was told I was using incorrect login credentials. Had to call customer support and they had to delete my user account and have me re-enroll, but they said their would be a delay before I could do so. Several hours later finally got into my account after completely re-enrolling, but everything loads so slow it took forever to accomplish anything. Terrible user experience and a huge waste of time. When I could finally get to the payment area I just went ahead and paid off the remaining balance on my account and turned off auto-renew. The vet services might be fine, but I hate this app and Banfield’s website and will never purchase an OWP again.

Love Banfield Hate the App. The concept of this app is a great one but I’ve never been able to complete a task using it. I’m either logged out, submissions get stuck in process, I can’t log in, or the app just shuts down. I’ve tried scheduling appointments through the app several times and have never been successful. More time was wasted attempting to use the app than it would have taken to call. I can’t rely on using the vaccine record feature because the app is so unpredictable. This app could be so convenient if it would work properly.

Horrible App Login. This review isn’t about Banfield Pet Hospital or their service, but their app. Every time I try to login, I have to reset my password because for some reason, my passwords aren’t “saved” in their system. First, every time I try to log in with my current password, it would say “wrong password”. Second, the fingerprint or facial recognition for login doesn’t work even though after every time I create a new password, it would ask me if I’d like to use this feature. And yes, I register this feature every single time. But after a week or so, the new password either won’t log me in or the fingerprint/facial recognition feature doesn’t work. When I try resetting my password, it says my email address is not registered any accounts. However, when I search my email address through the Client ID portal, it says my email address is already registered with an account. WHAT IS THIS? Seriously? I’ve never seen such a contradictory flaw in an app. Especially when my pet is sick. I’m paying close to $500 a year for the OWP that offers free online consultations. To seek help from a veterinarian about my pet’s symptoms. Yet, I have to go through so many obstacles to do so. My pet isn’t feeling well right now and I can’t do anything about it. Literally nothing because of this fatal flaw. I’m hugely disappointed. This app needs serious reprogramming. It’s putting a lot of stress of us and putting my pet’s life at risk.

Banfield clearly investing in the app. I rarely write reviews but this app has come a long way, adding 24/7 vet chat and making the appointment process 100% online (previously they’d have to call you back to confirm) and ability to easily add to the appointment to your calendar. So clearly the powers that be at Banfield have decided that investing in mobile (and web) is a priority and have hired a solid app dev team/shop. Well done! One small bug: image uploads in the vet chat doesn’t work (ios 13.1.2 on iphone 11 pro), but email workaround does the trick.

Don’t trust the appointment scheduling feature. Two weeks ago my cat got the sniffles and I scheduled an appointment using the app. It told me the next few appointments available at my location, I selected one, it told me it was scheduled and even added it to my calendar. Before the appointment rolled around she seemed much better so I went on the app to see if I could cancel the appointment. It said there were no scheduled appointments. This week she started having symptoms so I went through the scheduling process again, making sure it said I was done and it was automatically put on my calendar. I checked the next day and it said no appointments were scheduled. I called Banfield and they had no record of her appointment and didn’t seem at all concerned that the app wasn’t working. I would not have been happy if I had shown up and was turned away.

Love Banfield Clinic In Carrolton. We have used Banfield Clinics all over the state of Texas! We have moved a few times, since we have had Bear, the past 4 years. We left the Carrolton area in December of 2018 for North Richland Hills. There are plenty of vets around here including a few Banfield clinics. Our family, especially Bear fell in love with the front staff, the vet techs, Dr Martin & Dr Bell. There was one vet tech in particular who got down on the floor to all Bear to check her out and make him feel comfortable. It didn’t take my big Pit Bull baby long (maybe 45 seconds to a minute to fall in love)! Next thing we knew he was sitting down her lap like and child would. Just confirms my gut feeling that he doesn’t realize he’s a dog. He used to never go in back with the lab tech in Grand Prairie or Mansfield. I would have to walk him back there in that (employee only) get him comfortable and then walk away. The vet tech in Carrolton named Amanda earner his trust and would follow her anywhere. So we still drive from North Richland Hills to Carrolton to get his health care. We move that Carrolton family. Unfortunately, we learned here recently Amanda and her man have moved to Colorado, the only positive is she’s still at Banfield in Colorado. Amanda Bear misses you so much. The Banfield Carrolton team gets an All-Star team in my eyes!

Horrible app, horrible pet hospital. I’ve never been so frustrated making appointments or getting pet services more than I have been dealing with Banfield. I made appointments on the app only to be called and said that appointment isn’t available. When you call the actual offices, they VERY RARELY pick up the phone. They tell you things are included in the wellness plan, but you always end up with a bill. It’s extremely rare to actually get a vet who takes actual care of my dogs, most of the time they rush in, try to make you buy things and then leave you with a less knowledge tech or receptionist. Will be changing vets and services and never looking back.

Not user friendly. I am repeatedly logged out of my account even when I select the option to remember me. I can never use my fingerprint enabled log in and have to select it each time to enable fingerprint access. I tried to use my password just now and was unable to log in. So I just created a new password that was the exact same as the old one. Also the loading screen when making appointments is atrocious. It never loads more than like four hospitals. We should be able to see and load more hospitals than that. My puppy has been sick and I want to make an appointment ASAP I don’t care if I’ll have to drive all over my city to get her to an appointment I want to see all available appointments in my city. I don’t want to see the closest available two weeks out. I think a lot needs to be improved on this app. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one star is because of the 24/7 vet chat service.

Awful app. The Banfield wellness plan is a great plan to have. With that being said, everything else about it is pretty trash. First of all the app is not easy to use and the mobile website is even worse. Specifically when it comes to payment. For starters they only let you sign up for auto pay. Which isn’t so bad until you can’t make a payment or there is an issue with billing and the they charge you a TWENTY DOLLAR late fee. To put that into perspective that is a little less than half of what my plan costs and if I chose not to get the heart warm pill and only had the basic plan that 20 dollar late fee would be 2/3 the cost of the monthly bill. Now this wouldn’t be an issue if you could just sign on and pay the bill before the due date. But it’s not that simple. 1) They don’t have any notification reminders of this being due and oh wait I forgot 2) you can’t even pay your bill on the app?! And 3) to pay your bill early online you have to go through sign in, account, manage payment, than scroll down until you find the make a payment option, than it redirects you to another site and makes you put in your card information again. Overall the process is not user friendly and to me its pretty obvious that it’s a good way for them to make an extra 20 bucks for late fees a month.

It’s great but.... I love the app. I love being able to see what my pet is due for and when it’s due and being able to request appointments and keep notes on my pet; however, I think what would make the app better is to allow clients to see their vaccine history. So not only will they see when their pet is due but they’ll also be able to see when the vaccine was administered. That would limit calls to Banfield Pet Hospitals to allow them to answer more urgent calls faster than if they’re having to fax vaccine records, give verbals to groomeries or other hospitals, and clients. When this happens, I will gladly change my rating to a 5 star. It deserves it, we just need to fix this minor issue.

Tech Support & Banfield. It was necessary I contact Tech Support in order to get my on-line account set up on my phone today. I am so pleased with my decision to select Banfield Pet Hospital for my new little kitty’s care, and the tech support I received today was invaluable. She was very patient and helpful with getting me all set up. The doctors & staff have also been extremely helpful and caring. I honestly feel that I could not have made a better choice in selecting Banfield Pet Hospital. Thank you!

Not a fan. This app can be helpful if/when it works correctly. I made 2 appointments at a location nearest me. They call to verify one but don’t see the other, even though I got an email confirmation. I get to the vet that I made the appointment for and get told there’s nothing on the schedule for me. The app shows my location for the appointment but I have to go to a different one. Once you make the appointment you can’t see upcoming visits only last time you were there. Would be nice to be able to just check the app to see dates/times/location where I have the appointment at.

Lost the vaccine summary feature?. I used to be able to pull up a summary view of vaccine history for my dogs that I used to check to make sure they were up to date. I also used it as a reference for groomers, daycares, and boarding facilities who need proof of vaccinations. The new app is slick and all, but that summary view was the single most valuable feature for me. Now I have to go back to remembering to get a print out of vaccine history or open each record in the timeline one by one and I’m not sure what the logic is in the new app for how far back that timeline goes.

Online scheduling not available, visits are not syncing. I love bandfield app in the beginning of last year. I could schedule appointments online easily and my pet’s reports are syncing on to my app. But now, online scheduling keeps on saying “online scheduling is currently not available.” I waited for months and it kept on saying the same thing. Also, the bandfield hospital i go to doesn’t appear on the list when i search by “find nearby location.” And my pet’s records are not syncing to my app since July of last year even though my pet has come multiple times after July of last year. Please fix this issue

Poorly functioning app. I just downloaded app and already I can tell this is not a well put together application. For instance, the app keeps logging me out immediately after I sign in saying that my login session expired... really? In literally 5 seconds it expires? Lol. This has been going on for the past hour.. Also, states that my dog is OVERDUE for comprehensive exam on November 28, 2018... today is September 28, 2018. It’s really incomprehensible, the malfunctions of this app. To add, I just got a kitten that I want to get a wellness plan for as well, there is an option to estimate cost for wellness plan, I fill in the info and hit calculate and... NOTHING, it just refreshes page. Wow. First impression is not good for this app. Please fix issues or get better IT. Thanks!

Pet care. Dr Wray and her team at Banfield North Ridge Are amazing. They care about your pet as if it was their own . We called due to our girl having a serious cough and she was able to be seen right away even though they had a full schedule . They took xrays and treated her so well . As a fur mom, I was so anxious and nervous of something very serious but they kept in contact the whole time and assured me everything is going to be ok and she will have a positive recovery . We will officially be switching to Dr. Wray and her team. Thank you north ridge for taking such awesome care of my fur child .

Easy Peasy!. Everything about your pet and your pets visit readily available on your phone. Even lab results! Banfield used to print out all of this information but I am glad they’ve gone to electronic versions to save trees. I love how you can make an appointment to see upcoming appointments monitor vaccination and heartworm prevention dates and even upload pictures! The only thing I would suggest is adding a microchip number location on each pet.

Needs improvement. I’m trying to make an appointment for my dog in the SF Bay Area. There are many Banfields throughout the area and yet nobody has availability for months. It would help if the app would filter “first available “ or something helpful. My dog is sick and spending time on this one by one is like going backwards in time. I swear going through old phone books was less tedious than this, especially when trying to get your sick dog seen. We pay for the Optimum Plan but this piece of the puzzle is less than optimum.

Love the app. I love the app because you can view pet records and payments; As well as, schedule office visits. I would like to see a change in the app that will allow me to see the diagnosis as well as the medications prescribed during the visit. Currently the only way to see some of this is by selecting the time line. Unfortunately, you do not see the office visit notes that our made part of the record.

Pet Journal Feature Hacked. I really liked the older version of this app (~a year ago) because I could create notes in the Pet Journal to track how often my dog was vomiting. And then share these easily with the vet during appointments. In the new version, you can still access old journal entries, but they cannot be edited and worst of all, YOU CANNOT CREATE NEW ENTRIES. The instructions in the app say to use the journal to keep track of things, but there's no way to create a new entry. We don't need "photo editing" software in a pet health app....we need the ability to keep track of heath notes! Come on people....

Great app, but needs one extra thing…. Can you add a feature where I can see my deceased pets profile again? Once I let Banfield know that she passed away, then her profile also disappeared in the app along with all her information. I get it…it’s a sensitive topic. But could we at least have the option to re-enable her profile or even have a memorial to her within the app? The Banfield Pet Hospital in Solana Beach, CA is wonderful btw!

App Needs Improvement for cities with multiple locations!. App Experience is awful!! App needs to show address of upcoming vet appointment not just city of location! I went to the wrong location twice before showing up at the right location!! The rest of the stars are for the staff at the correct location for being so accommodating and understanding of us being late. The app created a VERY stressful day!

Appointments NEVER available. Banfield has taken over several vet offices in my community yet they NEVER have appointments available. I’ve been trying to get my dog in for a vaccination for months. But the only vets who can see him are the ones who are stuck in 2020 and still doing “virtual visits”. No wonder they are the only vets who have availability! We want to be in the wellness exams with our pets! If Banfield is going to act like a big company and take over local vet offices, then hire enough vets so that we can actually get our pets vaccinated!

Thank you!!. I am constantly having questions about my pets and being able to just open my phone and chat with a vet via text, (you know us millennials hate talking on the phone) it’s just so convenient and the staff is always super nice and has helped me so many times during a freak out with my pets. Highly recommend for anyone!

The best. My wife and me recently lost our last dog to illness and our son brought her a new dog. Since we were new to New Braunfels, TX we decided to go with a renowned company and were pleasantly surprised to get a veterinarian who understands our pet fully. The app is very convenient and its completeness is refreshing, since we travel a lot and having all the visit and vaccinations on hand anywhere is very helpful to get the vaccination reports.

Most useless app, even after update.. If you’re looking to reset your password, download this app. That’s literally all you can do. Every time I log in, it brings me to a password reset link. There’s literally no way to get into the app. All it does is send you a link to reset your password. SO beyond irritating. Before I updated it, the app would only tell me that I had “no network connection” thus preventing me from logging in - even though I had a 100% wifi connection AND 5G connection. Save yourself the storage space and just access Banfield in a browser.

Miss old Banfield app. While I like the design and user friendliness of the new update, I miss how I am able to add notes, check his weight trend, and all the other features that was on the app before the update in May 2019. I used to be able to do everything on the app and now I have to keep notes on my iPhone instead of it being all in one location. The update has taken away a lot of features. It’s weird they would go backwards instead of forwards. I will still keep the app as it is convenient as times now it’s just not AS convenient anymore.

Logs me out won’t let me back on. Love Banfield but this app keeps signing me out and constantly keeps telling me my password is wrong then when I go to change it it keeps telling me that it’s invalid and to try something else I’ve tried 12 different passwords I even tried using the strong password thing that your iPhone suggested to you. Still nothing I have 4 appointments in the next 3 weeks I cant remember when they are and I was just about to put them in my calendar. This is just ridiculous that it’s not letting me log into my own account and not letting me reset my password.

Update is not good. The software before was perfect! Now the new app is slow and now I can’t add appointments to my calendar from the app. I also have to sign in every single time instead of the Touch ID sign in like before. I used also be able to see all of my dogs history of vaccines and tests. Please change this back! Thank you

Different appt times between app and actual location. I love that this app is handy and gives me appointment information, but one time I scheduled thru the app, the person I spoke to said a different time. So I'm not sure what the disconnect is. Hoping my future appointments do not have any time issues with the actual location.

Great app. The app does exactly what is was designed to do. I have not had a single issue in using it. I also would like to acknowledge the Banfield staff in Edison. We purchased insurance and use Banfield as our vet. The entire staff at our place is amazing. Being a long time dog owner I honestly think there is great value in their insurance plans. I know our Puppy bulldog is being well cared for.

Eh.... The potential is there for it to be great... but right now it’s not. The main reason I downloaded this app was to be able to book appointments online because their website is terrible and wouldn’t let me do it. Go figure the app isn’t working to book appointments either... other than that it’s fine if you want to look at the medical history of your pet, their weight or their birthday 🤷🏻‍♀️ Other than that, I wouldn’t bother until they fix whatever they did to their servers.

Needs Improvement. 1. Scheduled an appointment successfully (supposedly) through the app but didn’t get a confirmation email nor is it reflecting on the desktop website. Attempted to schedule the appointment again but this time through the desktop site and that worked. Going back into the app, nothing appears now for scheduled visits. 2. Bugs with adding new pets. Seems to be an issue when a photo is added in the process and results in an “Internal server error.” 3. “Add to calendar” button do anything after successfully scheduling an appointment

Great service bad app. Hey all, I have had the Banfield plan for sometime for both my dogs. While the plan itself is great, the app is left a lot to be desired. I have seen the app go through various updates and some of the issues seem to still persist. Issues like missing information for available hospitals and, most importantly, the app crashing randomly when I am doing things like viewing my upcoming schedule. Again, this is nothing to do with Banfield’s service or available health plans, but specifically the limitations on the app.

Buggier than before. I don’t like the new app at all. It won’t keep you signed in or save your info, and it is so slow. I also can’t see information about past visits like who my vet was and this far I haven’t been able to find test results or anything. It’s been dumbed down in a bad way. I have tried booking appointments, it’s slow and crashed. It also couldn’t load appointments for a day I had literally just booked on when there had been multiple appointments available. Old app was better.

Easy to navigate. I have always went to pet smart to buy my animals foods and toys. I took my first dog to Banfield because it was convenient and have been going ever since. The wellness program has always been affordable and god send when taking my dogs for regular checkups and I save big money compared to not having it. The app is easy to navigate and allows me to see what my dog had done and Doctor Recommendations and meds.

Pet information. I was very disappointed with how slow this website goes. It seems to take forever for anything to populate. I wanted to find a record for proof my dog’s rabies vaccine. I when I found it there was only a date but no information stated it was current. I went on my phone app & found it staying the rabies vaccine was currently but couldn’t really print to out. The app took some time to use too. The information is maybe all there but the website & app are slow & not easy to navigate when you are in a hurry.

What happened to your App?!. I’m very disappointed ☹️ I had everything in my app to where it was easy. Now that you have the new version it doesn’t recognize me or my pet. I have had banfield membership over a year. Now when I get locked out I have to request to get in and when I get in it’s the old version where all my information is there. I don’t know what you guys did to change it but it’s not a compatible version anymore. ☹️☹️☹️

Amazing service. I love Banfield we have been taking our dog there since we first adopted her it’s always been amazing and the plans are amazing as well and affordable every month the app makes everything so much more easier everything is st your finger tips need to make an appointment no need to call just request one on the app!! Keep up the good work banfield!!

Great idea, needs bug fixes.. Love the idea behind having a mobile version of my pets records and being able to see everything from their previous visits. Not a fan of the unclear reminders. Heart worm prevention says it’s due, but I know mine is wrong. It also doesn’t give you a clear date or what product you are using. The Comprehensive exams are not correct. My pet went in October and it says his next exam is June... that’s over 6 months. Minor faults but could make a huge difference in the app.

Everything about the app is Great!!. The last time I was able to have a pet they didn’t have apps available like this through a vet or clinic. That may make me sound ages but I’m only 28. This app is easy to use- everything is pretty self explanatory, easy to find, and one of the best parts about it is that you can not only customize it with photos of your pet/s, you can have multiple pet profiles added to it!

Looks nice, frustrating to use. This app is intended to be used for booking appointments for pet care. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to re-enter the request for an appointment to search each individual nearby location because my regular office (as are the others) is booked out for 2 months. The user flow should be designed to let you check your preferred location but then offer sooner appointments at nearby locations on the same screen- I want my pet to be seen for his health concern as soon as possible!

Banfield in Hutto. I have 2 schnauzers that have been cared for by Banfield for over 10 years. We’ve been seen at a few locations and when we moved to Hutto we made the Hutto location our primary care office. It’s been the best decision we’ve made! Abby, Rachel, Billy, Vanessa and Dr. Thompson have been amazing! They genuinely care for our pets and we’re sincerely grateful for their hard work and dedication.

Difficult logging on!!. I really HATE this new updated version!!! Everytime I try to log on to my account I have to reset my password and even then it still won’t let me log on to my account!!! And when I do finally get through to my account it never remembers me and I have to go through this stupid process all over again!! I’m extremely frustrated and annoyed with this version... I’m I the only one experiencing this??

Latest update not usable. I loved the old app - everything I wanted regarding the status of my pets was at my fingertips, particularly their weight charts. While I like the complete rundown of their lab results, I would rather have the app look like the mobile website with the various categories available for me to quickly glance at their vaccines, weight, last appointment, etc. I haven’t even used the other new features that are supposed to make this version better because I end up just going to my browser instead. If an update restores what the features I used to use, I would be happy to use the app again!

This is terrible!. This new update is horrible! I never leave reviews on Apps but this needed to be said! The old format was just fine. This new format took away all the helpful tabs and links. I can even track my dogs weight and progress anymore. This new app update is just useless!!!! Why change what wasn’t broken!

undo the makeover. Is it just me or has the app completely change? I had so many options and so much more information on your pets was listed. I use to be able to write notes and that was helpful because sometimes I forget to ask the Dr. about certain small things. But I do love the 24hr chat.

Great for keeping track. I have a lot of stuff to keep track of between work and home and this app helps me keep track of appointments and vaccinations for my fur baby. This is my first animal as an adult and my cat is my life, so I want to make sure she is well taken care of. I love the veterinarians at Banfield and I love how easy the app is to navigate. Thank you!

Don’t update!!!. Strongly recommend avoiding this update. I have the older version on another device, and I will not update it to the May 2019 version. Although there are a few nice bells and whistles, the gutting of the available data makes this app *far* less useful than it had been. The good news is that, at least for medical histories, the old app still has access to all the data (not just three visits—and the old app is more up-to-date as well). Reality is that the old interface may have its problems, but it’s functionality is far better than this “improved” version.

Frustrating. This app could use some serious feature improvements. First, the app continues to glitch every single time it’s used. Second, the app still uses Touch ID instead of Face ID, which is interesting because I’m willing to bet majority of this apps users have an iPhone X or newer. Lastly, the scheduling feature never loads so users struggle to see existing appointments, or find appointments at the correct Banfield, as it typically generates hospitals that are not closest to the user. I am hoping all are in the works for the next update because Banfield users have no choice but to use it.

Impossible to log in. It is just impossible to log in. I used to be happy with this app to keep track of my pet health related needs and for months it has been simple been impossible to just log in. It is asking me to reset my password with a link they send and no matter how many times I have already done it, it simply won’t let me in. When you call one of their offices they are just aware and say: “oh yeah, it is hard to log in”. It is not hard, it is impossible!!!! Either update or just take this app off the app store

Does not make appointments. This is my second time trying to make an appointment through the app. I showed up to the first appointment and they said i didn’t have one. I told them i schedule it through the app and they said they had no record of it. I thought maybe i just didn’t press confirm or something. I try it again that night, this time i call the next morning to confirm the appointment and i screenshotted my confirmation on my phone. They still said they had no record of me making an appointment. DO NOT RELY ON THE APP FOR APPOINTMENTS.

What happened to the updates?. I don’t know why the app was updated from the previous design. It used to be easy for me to see when my dog had last been to the vet, when he needed to be scheduled for another visit, and when he was due for vaccines. This version doesn’t do any of that. I don’t know what problem this new design was solving for, but it seems to me that it created issues where there were none before. Please change this to make it easy for users to see when their pet is due for services.

Non-responsive and incorrect. The app has multiple times given me incorrect information about Banfield locations. Once, I needed to make an emergency appointment and told me a clinic was open the next day at 8 am, only to drive 40 mins to said clinic and it wasn’t even open yet and they couldn’t see me and my pet. Additionally, the app becomes frustratingly unresponsive when trying to click on things like Banfield locations. Tried pressing it in very way possible for to only give me the nav directions and not the next available appointments. Hate using this app sometimes.

Please bring back many of the old features. The new update is certainly more visually appealing, but I used the journal to keep track of one dog’s seizures and another’s breathing rate, so if there’s a way to recover that information it would help a lot. I also appreciated the weight over time feature, which helped me visualize my pets’ progress over time. I understand you may have wanted to declutter the app, but those were useful functions. At least have a way to recover the old journals.

Best Pet Health Record App Ever!. So convenient. Easy to make appointments and ask questions. It has all the info you need on your pet to help you make sure everything your pet needs is up to date and current. Everything you need for your pets health at the palm of your hand!

Absolutely terrible. I’ve been using the app happily since 2016 and since one of the last updates, you can no longer see what your animal is due for or when. The app basically refers you to the website for anything beyond seeing your animals chip id number. Pointless is a great way to describe it now. I got the app so I don’t have to call or visit the website. Now that you’ve updated it and I can no longer do anything without going to the website, I no longer need the app. Great job. Slow clap for the developers, everyone. Do us and yourselves a favor and put the app back the way it was. Too bad there’s not a way to give it less than one star.

Vet Chat is a joke, don’t waste time downloading app. I’ve got the pictures to prove the chat is bogus. I was simply trying to contact the chat to determine emergency versus he can wait two hours for vet clinic to open. It’s 6 AM, MST, not too obscene of an hour. They said “less than ten minutes for response” and after 25 minutes, still nothing. Plus there’s no notification program. You just have to sit there staring at your phone, tapping the screen so it doesn’t lock up. Total waste. Everything else you actually need can be done through the website.

Banfield App is best app ever for your pet!. I have a service dog that travels everywhere with me and this app makes my life so much easier because whenever I travel whether it is flying or driving to visit my family, I need to carry all of her shot records with me. This provides all of the information that I have to show the airlines or hotel employees! Best app ever for someone who has a dog or I guess a cat too (according to my service dog.... dogs rule and cats drool).

Hours of operation. I was highly disappointed when attempting to call my regular Banfield, and discovered that they were closed during hours that they should have been opened. I went on the app to schedule an appointment and found that there were no Saturday appointments available anytime soon. So I am now having to switch my Banfield locationto one that is slightly further away from my home.

Appointment problem -canceled on me while I was in route. I made a day of appt for my dog at the Lake Worth location. Was in route to the store only to get a call from them telling me they were booked and couldn’t see my dog. More significantly, they said I should have called if I wanted a same day appointments and that they couldn’t control the online system saying that an appointment was available, even though they were completely booked. I’d signed up for vet care for my dog and this isn’t they type of service I expected.

Cool but not cool. Keeps logging me out when I select remember me. Then password isn’t working for some reason. Then when I try to retrieve the password, it tells me that my email is not on record. Cool concept of it works, otherwise a waste of time to have to constantly contact the vet for records that I should be able to retrieve directly from the app, ugh!

Layton Banfield Team. So happy we found a new Banfield family for our Boys. We moved to Utah alittle Over a year ago; & were so relieved to find a caring, compassionate, friendly veterinarian team, similar to our Lake Worth, Texas Banfield family. Dr. Sayhagun from day one has been committed to helping us with our senior boys. Our chihuahua, Poody, is 16 + yrs old and has some health issues but a strong will to live. Our second boy, Buddy, a shih tzi/Lhasa Apso mix at 10 yrs old still plays like a puppy with his toys, playing fetch, always having a squeaky toy with him. All the staff at the Layton Petsmart greet us by name. I can see the care & concern for my boys. So thankful for all of them. They are the best! Puts my nerves at ease when I have to do a drop off visit. Thank you for having the best employees. Vickilynn R. Rivera

Very Buggy. The app experience is very buggy. Even right now as I am typing this review, the font color is white on top of a white text box so so I can’t even see what I am typing(I really hope this is legible). Clicking on buttons is hit or miss. Selecting options takes hitting the tight pixel for things to register. The disabled state of buttons is difficult to tell from regular buttons. Honestly, I hate it. But, horribly enough, the web experience is worse, which drove me to installing the app. At least I can make appointments on the app and actually log into my account.

Oxnard Banfield’s Drs & Staff are the Beat. I always have such a great experience when I take my little 11 year old Chihuahua Chiquita in for appts no matter if it’s for simple things or urgent matters. We are always welcomed by name & treated very special. The Dr Wray & the VA’s are very knowledgeable & tuned into what’s going on with Chiquita. I love the staff that checks us in. They show such love & care for my little girl which helps make her feel more comfortable. Thank you to all of you at Banfield Oxnard, CA. ❤️
