Perfect if it worked with NFC. This is great for what it is. Would have scored 5 stars if the App could use the NFC in my phone as a card alternative. Next version? Being able to swipe quickly between my account's different cards is great. Travelling as a family, it would be perfect if one of the parents could scan on for everybody with this method rather than fumbling with 4+ cards. Using my business card for work trips would be simpler also rather than having to carry multiple cards. Surely it would be cheaper for the operator also to implement this than having to send out actual cards.

App Won’t Work. Purchased an Opal card that is registered to me. App will not let me get past the first screen asking for card number and pin. Keeps saying invalid, but info is valid. I have since downloaded another app that works, but frustrating because I paid for this one and Apple has not refunded my money.

The most useless app. Thought it can top up my card. Only found out this app tells you how much you spent and that's it. Nothing else

Well worth it!. I'd give it 5stars if it updated faster, but it's still so much better than logging onto a website, signing in with the 16 digits and the password. I can see daily what I've been charged and when I'll earn my travel award. Fantastic! Thank you!!

Great App!!!. Great app, very useful for keeping track of my Opal usage.

Central ?. The Opal fare calculator does not work. Central station not found? Bugger!

Worked fine until the current version. Simply crashes on open after most recent update rendering it completely unusable. Tried deleting / reinstalling but no dice. (iPhone 6+)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Looks great, shows me everything I need to know (even on my watch).

Hype. Dropped an exchange student of at the airport and was charged a $32 just to go through the gates. Who has this kind of money trying to help someone out. They need another system for people just helping to drop someones luggage of. This is so not right, they must catch a lot of people out this way. Not happy

Constantly logging me out. It's a great app... But it continues to log me out. I thought this was resolved in a previous update. Is there something wrong with the inclusion of the widget? Resolving this would be great.

Uhh. Maybe it's me, maybe I just don't know how to use the app, but it seems the only purpose of this app is to see the activity of your card.... which makes me question why I had to pay for it. The other opal app I have allows me to plan my trip and reload my card etc.... and that app was free. I can't deny the app looks gorgeous just as they said it was.

Pretty good, but.... You need to add a change of card for the fare calculator, I was trying to calculate a fare but it only shows adult card prices, needs an option to calculate child/youth and senior/pensioner card fares, etc.

Missing some critical elements. 1. Still shows lost / cancelled cards, though balance has been transferred to a new card. 2. Does not display card numbers. 3. No option to block / cancel cards immediately if a card is lost / stolen, without having to login through the website.

The best opal app on the App Store. Awesome app, better than any others on the store. Just fix the loading spinner (so that it actually stays spinning whilst loading, rather than just show the text 'loading')

Luks gud, wurks gud. It looks good, and works well. The best out of several I've used. Note: the delay of several minutes from tap on, off, or top up is standard across all of the Opal apps unless you use the Opal website.

FANTASTIC. So easy to use with iPhone 6 plus and iwatch, display is easy to read and use, very convenient, plus you can see your balance in Notifications as a quick reference

My Opal app of choice. User friendly, attractive and appealing app. Its easy to use, swipe for multiple cards, fares come through pretty quickly in most cases. Always seems accurate 👍🏽

Great App. This is a great app, but what would make it even better would to have the ability to top up your account directly from the app

No difference to other free apps. It is okay. But doesn't allow you to view previous transactions, at least not for previous weeks. Cannot customise front page. I thought it might has the timetables combine together since it cost u $1.49, but...nothing is there. Overall, I don't think it matches its price yet. Hopefully we can see more improvements.

Apple watch tap on. We really need to be able to tap on with an apple watch just like apple pay but you go into the apple pay area and just tap on like you are paying for something but instead you tap on and then tap off with your watch this would be a really cool feature please make it happen:)

Great but with a couple of bugs. Great app, I really like the monthly, weekly usage summary and simplicity of use. However, I sometimes get errors saying the service is not available. Also, I updated the names of my cards weeks ago and they don't seem to update here.

Best Opal app I've come across. Gives me the info I need in easy to read format, not complex, kept nice and simple. Its really good and I highly recommend!

Best of opal apps. Best of the opal apps in the store. Don't know why opal didn't release an official app. Either way, good job guys (custom background would be nice, not a fan of the default)

Pretty Good App. Overall pretty good app. Accurate for the most part in terms of time table, but I found some inconsistencies with fare calculation. If the fare calculations are more accurate then it would be even better. I moved suburbs and wanted to get an idea as to the cost of travel by train from Woy Woy to Central Station, app said approximately $4.15 or so, when in reality the fare is actually double that. A bit disappointed when I had to cough up an extra $4 on top of the calculated fare. I know it's approximate calculations, but that's a huge jump. Other than that great

Clear view and convenient to use!!!. I like this app. Easy to tract Opal usage. If it can be connected to Opal top-up service will be more fantastic.

Worthwhile App. I found this app very good and as my wife and I are pensioners it is accurate. The reason that I rated only 4 stars is that I have to logout out of my OPAL card and login into my wife's OPAL card to see her balance. Why is there no option to have two cards registered (in fact, they are), and simply switch between the cards with the same login even though the two OPAL cards have different owners?

Interesting interface. Need to refresh to see the the updates of your journey and trips count otherwise all good. At the first I thought no use of the app but then when I swipe up. I see all the opal transactions.

Great app. It's easy to use and tells you how much you have and how much it costs. Love using it highly recommend.

Excellent customer support.. The app is great, gives me the basic info i need. But whats really good is the customer support. You get to speak to or email with real people with names who don't talk using unnecessary formalities. Really friendly and very eager to help sort out any issues. All new systems will have teething issues the difference is in the support you get. Opal has it.

I love this app but.... I wish it updates itself instantly from the time I tap on/off. Sometimes I can't remember if I've tapped on/off and I get to see the next day I've been charged the maximum fare. Then I have the hassle of calling customer service which is annoying. Apart from that all system go for me.

Beautiful and perfect. This is the one stop app you need. Tried a few others, this one does it well. Thank you so much! I agree with the others though - being able to change the background would be great! (Opal works outside Sydney remember!)

The developers have abandoned this app. It crashes every time I try to open it as of Jan 2021. They’ve not updated it in two years. It’s a shame, it’s a much better app than the NSW Transport App. I liked that I could view my spend over the last 6+ years with month by month breakdown.

Flawless app for Opal Card. Perfect app to check your balance and your transport expenditure overall. I would rate five-star if the app provides auto top-up option for Opal Card!

Awesome Opal Companion. I haven’t used the estimation cost for trips part of the app but the total money left in my account is accurate to the cent and is always updating itself regularly. Great App!!!

Great Opal Card app !. Solid app, that gives you the info that you need....and allows an easy find of individual trips. Also, when an issue appeared with the latest update, the team behind the app sorted it promptly and professionally....and that is always the litmus test !

Has Room for more improvements. Needs to have option to top up and be able to use actual app to tap on and tap off without using the card. Background picture should changeable. Balance update should happen at the time of tap on or tap off and not 20 after that happened. Needs option to rename cards.

Pretty good. Smooth operation so far, would suggest in future updates: - allow plain background choices - use a swipe motion to access next screen for trip calculations or for retailers etc Overall nice app thanks

Opal App. etc. This App. is ok! But can have issues with it, in regards to changing your password for security reasons & also their can be issue with toping up ⬆️ your Opal card? 🤦🏻‍♂️ Because at one time 🕰️ of the year, I don’t recall what year it was??, the government transport system sent me a refund/return of $10 which I had previously put in as a deposit 💵 or top up ! 😕🥺🤦🏻‍♂️ Seriously! I then had to go and manually do a top up on the Opal-card @ a 7/11 service station! 🤔🤦🏻‍♂️

Excellent app. Easy and so simple to use without trying too do everything. So good to be able to check balance quickly without logging into the website each time.

Tap on Tap Off. 1. Tap on records have history in app but there is no history for tap off it will be great if that thing available as well. 2. is there any way we can use smart phones for tap on tap off instead we are using opal cards. Fantastic app. Very convenient app to check balance and details of all fares. The online email support is great when needed.

Sometimes can't load the trips well. Sometimes this app can load all the information and have wrong feed back of my opal card trips. Hope developers could fix this
